I Hate Jill Zarin Real Housewives of Atlanta – Premier Oct 5, 2010

NeNe called Dwight “Boo” and that is the only similarity we have to last year, the only way I recognized them, even Dwight reminded us that “Boo” was so last year, after three seasons celebrity changes people and this is a whole new group of women!
That is still NeNe with her put upon husband Greg , but this season apparently Greg’s got a secret and things have changed between this couple. Greg has always seemed like a quiet guy, he only seemed to speak when he had something important to share and he was usually the voice of reason. NeNe and Greg always seemed happy, the only fight we’ve seen them engage in was last season regarding NeNe’s father. Greg was concerned that the man NeNe thought might be her long lost father would try to somehow get money from his daughter.

Tonight we learned that Greg does have secrets from his wife, the rumor that Greg borrowed $10,000 from Dwight was denied by Greg but he did admit to a $500 deal that “fell through”. Trust is key in a marriage and based on NeNe’s confession that she no longer loves her husband this is not the first time Greg has lied to NeNe.

Kim has changed as well, she seems a bit calmer this season, more like she’s acting for the cameras. The “real” Kim has been toned down to a dull roar. We watch as Mama Kim tries to give sound advice to one daughter and discipline to the other, without success in both instances. Kim interviews that she hopes that she has instilled the same values as her mother has given to her. Kim likes her little jokes! I hope her daughters have the brains to do the exact opposite of what their mother has done.
Was anyone else completely disgusted watching Brielle Zolciak eat and talk with her mouth open? Literally the food almost fell out of her mouth, by 13 years old, even if your dimwitted mother hasn’t taught you to close your mouth while you’re eating, I would think she’d have learned it somewhere. Seriously I had to look away from the screen it was absolutely vulgar! I can only imagine what LuAnn (Money Can’t Buy You Class) would have to say. Kim please teach your daughters some manners.

When last we saw Kim and NeNe they were making disturbing polite conversation on the couches of Andy Cohen’s reunion show. Neither could hold back the eye roll’s and nasty looks across the room but their refusal to argue or rehash the season was a decision these two women made together so their relationship couldn’t have been all that strained. Tonight we watched as they came together again, presumably because the cameras started rolling.

NeNe hired a private chef and invited her long lost friend to lunch. Both ladies admit to being nervous, probably because the cameras were rolling for the first time in a year. Greg made a quick exit and Kim quickly got to the gossip, telling NeNe about Greg’s loan from Dwight.

Kim explains that although she continues to sport that huge diamond engagement ring she received from Big Papa, her relationship with him ended months ago and she is not in love with anyone at the moment. Rumors of Big Papa’s financial problems could certainly have had a hand in the end of this affair.

Our introduction to Phaedra included the extra Housewife, Dwight. The attorney and her client sit down to discuss whether or not to pursue any legal action against Sheree, as Dwight claims he spent over $30,000 on her fashion show. We quickly learn that Phaedra is newly married, pregnant with her first child and grew up in the same town as NeNe. Not hiding the fact that she’s not fond of NeNe, Phaedra shares that she is a southern belle with class and charm, traits that NeNe does not share.

Sheree informs us that she has put her clothing line, She By Sheree on hold to pursue her dream of acting. Last we saw Sheree she was celebrating a successful meeting with a clothing house in New York City who had agreed to manufacture her line. There’s more to this story but we may never find out what happened.

NeNe barges into Sheree’s house during an acting lesson with a coach and some other students only to disrupt the class by her mere presence.

Lisa Wu Hartwell is already gone, she may be making a few short appearances but with no golden peach in the opening, it is official.

Our beloved Kandi has probably made the biggest change. Not only the red tuft of hair on her head but Kandi was seen and heard around Atlanta doing a little judging. It seems Kim Zolciak had agreed that she wasn’t going to discuss her lesbian relationship with DJ Tracy Young with a magazine that had interviewed the Atlanta housewives. Kandi called Kim out on her change of heart. Later Kandi was skeptical as Kim filled her in on the truce she had made with NeNe.

Kandi does not seem like the jealous type and I certainly don’t think that she was concerned about sharing her friend Kim with the likes of NeNe Leakes, I think Kandi is smart and knows that historically Kim and NeNe are like oil and vinegar. We didn’t see any interaction between NeNe and Kandi, and I tend to think that Kandi is smart enough to stay away from negative influences. Kandi has her own history with NeNe and it is not a pleasant memory.

Kandi reveals her latest beau, Baltimore Ravens Running back, Willis McGahee. Assuming that this was filmed during the off-season, this long distance couple seemed well suited for each other. Well respected in the NFL, McGahee continues to play with the Ravens and even scored a touchdown on Sunday. With recurring knee problems, apparently Baltimore had offered McGahee up for trade prior to this season but with no takers, McGahee remains a Raven.

Kandi only tells us that Mr. McGahee traveled to Atlanta to see her but we have no details as to how this couple met or began a relationship.

The episode culminated around a final “event” that the rest of the country would call a shoe sale. With Kim reminding NeNe not to drink too much (oops too late) and both NeNe and Sheree having a bone to pick with Dwight about rumors that he’s spreading around Atlanta, a confrontation is looming.

NeNe was cold to long lost friend Phaedra, interviewing that she barely knows this woman and is not impressed with her style. Calling her a “plain Jane”, NeNe is clearly unhappy with Bravo’s latest casting call. Could this be the reason Kim and NeNe chose to ban together? A move that will give them the power in numbers as two new cast members are introduced.

As the Champaign flows, Dwight wants a hug from NeNe but NeNe wants answers. Dwight has been telling everyone that he borrowed $10,000 from NeNe’s husband but Greg denies the rumor admitting only to a $500 deal, so what is the deal? NeNe gets no answer from Dwight because rather than questioning him, she gets in his face a little shoving ensues and results in NeNe and Kim leaving without even trying on a pair of shoes.

Sheree has NeNe’s back because she also needs answers from Dwight about another rumor but she leaves the party, also shoeless without having said a word to Dwight. Maybe if these ladies had focused a little more on what’s important, shoes, and a little less on the squirmy Dwight, some purchases may have resulted. I don’t know about anyone else, but I was all over that selection of footwear.

Many of us have noticed that overall the ladies that Bravo calls “Housewives” typically lose weight from season to season. This Atlanta group is definitely the exception to this rule. Kandi warned fans on Twitter that we would be seeing a bit more of Kandi this season. Without warning we saw a bit of a gut hanging over Kim’s jeans at the shoe event reminding me of the scene in the Sex And The City movie when Samantha shows up at Carrie’s apartment with a couple of pooches, one puppy in her bag and the other a hanging gut. Kim’s pooch was the less cute variety.

We have yet to meet our second newest Atlanta housewife, Cynthia but previews show that she is a supermodel who seems to be a reluctant bride this season. News reports out of Atlanta a few weeks back that apparently Bravo wanted to keep under wraps, reveal that the wedding will happen. Possibly Bravo wanted to create some suspense in Atlanta and leave the viewer’s guessing about Cynthia’s nuptials but apparently this lovely lady couldn’t keep her wedding photos from “leaking” to the press.
I enjoyed the Atlanta premier and the previews for the remainder of the season look pretty good. Without the dark and creepy feel of the New Jersey Series and the seriousness of the New York group, Atlanta seems to have that happy medium that makes it equally fun and drama filled.

The only blog that is posted on Bravotv.com as of now is Kim’s, she makes a big deal about her publicity regarding her relationship with DJ Tracy Young, I guess Kim didn’t get the memo, “we don’t care Kim!”. I strongly suggest you avoid reading the comments posted to Kim on the blog, they will just annoy you with the horrible grammar, spelling and ridiculous content. (I realize none of us is perfect) Whoever chooses those comments to post has a bizarre sense of humor.

I’ll be watching each Monday night!

Late last week this blog had a guest poster in the comments section that created quite a stir. Using the moniker “Over The Rainbow” she revealed that she knows the New Jersey housewives having grown up in Franklin Lakes. Her mother continues to reside there and Rainbow is privy to some interesting information as well as a good bit of information regarding rumors swirling around the Housewives of New Jersey.

Rainbow’s posts can still be viewed on the blog here: http://wp.me/pVOhN-aR

After several hours of posts including answering many questions, Rainbow informed us that she had gotten a phone call from her mother. It seems that word of Rainbow’s posts had gotten back to her mother and some people were getting mighty angry.

Shortly after that, some very angry posts appeared on the blog from one person who used several different monikers. Jersey_Girl and WayneGirl being just two of the many names used, we were treated to a tirade of name calling and insults directed to Rainbow as well as the regular posters on the board for encouraging Rainbow’s revealing posts. Jersey Girl went so far as to reveal Rainbow’s first name while belittling her and calling her every name in the book.

As moderator of the blog, I felt it was necessary to reach out to Rainbow and ensure that she was ok and the reveal of her first name wasn’t detrimental to her in any way. She did request that I remove her first name from the blogs where it appeared and I have done that. I can tell you that there isn’t any reason to doubt that Rainbow is who she says she is, simply a former neighbor and acquaintance of Teresa, Dina, Caroline and Jacqueline who has moved from Jersey to New York City with her family.
Rainbow claims she doesn’t know for sure who Jersey Girl is but suffice it to say that anything that creates that much angry and backlash must have some truth to it. While Rainbow admits that some of what she posted is fact and other posts are rumors, she does clarify fact from rumor in her posts. It may not be all pretty and clean but she did share with us what she knows, be it fact or rumor. Apparently this area of New Jersey is long on rumors and everyone knows others personal business and the rumors fly fast and furious.

The only thing that’s been deleted is Rainbow’s true name, everything else can be viewed on the blog here:

As most of you know, there have recently been some questions regarding Dina Manzo’s charity, Project Ladybug. Simple questions turned into a fury of accusations and name calling on twitter over the past week with Dina’s fans choosing to live in the dark and not know the truth while others questioned what is really going on at Project Ladybug. At the front of the line asking questions was Laura aka @Geoaubsmom wanting to review financial records from this public charity, as is her right.

Never missing a thing, radio personality Carly Hall caught wind of the debate and asked me to join her discussion on her show along with Laura (@geoaubsmom) to see if we could clarify the details of what has happened to date.

That interview (approximately 50 minutes long) can be heard here: http://tiny.cc/cn5xk

You can also read the details in my previous blog: http://wp.me/pVOhN-aw

Finally, I got the news yesterday and if you read Real Old Housewives’ blog you’ll know already, she has been invited by a secret source to attend New Jersey’s Poshe’s Fashion Show this year. You’ll remember the antics at last year’s event at a New Jersey Country Club. Teresa and Jacqueline chased Danielle through the lobby and Ashley Holmes pulled Danielle’s hair.

As Real Old Housewife had previously reported, the Country Club has now banned Bravo’s cameras from filming in their establishment, this year’s event for Poshe Boutique will take place at the Brownstone owned by the Manzo family.

Congratulations to Real Old Housewife on that prestigious invitation, I’m thoroughly jealous! Enjoy yourself!

Amazing how I get dragged into Housewives drama when I’m not even on Twitter. As I popped onto twitter to find Real Old Housewives link to her website, I am surprised to find a Tweet from Kelly Bensimon. I hadn’t had any interaction with this woman in months.

Here’s what happened and how my name got dragged in the following tweet was sent to ME:

FROM: @gialeoc21 TO: @lynnnchicago Does @kikilet still think she got “bullied” with all of these tragic stories out there re: lgbt bullying?????????????

I had not seen the above tweet and had not responded to it, but Kelly had…

FROM: @kikilet TO @gialeoc21 and @lynnnchicago a young man died from bullying. never draw parallels between tv and real life. i am disgusted by this tweet.

This is how I get dragged into twitter wars without even being present on Twitter! Someone tweets to me including Kelly, Jill or Dina’s name and the response from the angry housewife is made to me as well as the original poster. In this case the original tweet came from @gialeoc21 and while I don’t disagree with her, I never tweeted a word, yet here I am.

Because I’m not going to allow Kelly to get away with her holier than thou attitude, I did respond to Kelly’s tweet:

FROM @LynnNChicago TO: @kikilet More than just one young man died Kelly, you should be disgusted comparing your trip to St. John to what these kids experience!

And off we go….

Until Next Time….

Is Nene chanelling Mary J Blige???. Someone should tell her it’s not working for her :P

      • American Idiot says:

She seems uncomfortable with her new haircut. Always moving the front away from her face.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

the nose job does not compliment the rest of her face and the severe hair style only makes it look worse

  1. WindyCityWondering says:

    Great blog Lynn!
Glad you reached out to Rainbow – it was certainly an interesting evening and the venom was so thick you could cut it with a knife. As for Kelly, once againg she shows just how ignorant and insignificant she truly is – bullying is horrible and it is real and her remarks show just how crazy and out of touch she really is!

    • Duchess of Dryer Lint says:

Point is that Kelly is the one who claimed she was bullied and started that whole line of crap, and NOW she wants to disassociate the real thing from tv? What? Maybe I need another cup of coffee–I seem to be confused this morning.

  2. vilzvet says:

Ooh we have a visitor, see end of last blog.

    • vilzvet says:

And now she’s giving out street names, oh brother, who cares??

      • American Idiot says:

I see your comment asking about her schooling, but can’t see the street names comment. Please clarify.

      • Duchess of Dryer Lint says:

I am sooooo confused! Who are you talking about? LOL and who did you mean needed to get a grasp of English and couldn’t have made it through school? Help Meeeeee! LOL

      • MickeyMouth says:

I think they may have been removed because it was personal information. – Lynn?

        • vilzvet says:

It was the same old same old stuff as the other night from the Sybil poster, you missed nothing except you would have needed a translation manual for English.

    • MickeyMouth says:

I wish the rants would come in complete thoughts and sentences. I want to read but it is so difficult to follow sometimes. I’m not looking for the queens English, because I know I don’t always speak or write it myself, but an occasional period or maybe not all caps would help the reader. I have been on a Dr. Seuss kick lately and these posts remind me of this quote: “So the writer who breeds more words than he needs, is making a chore for the reader who reads.”

    • LynnNChicago says:

That post was the same person who attacked Rainbow on previous blogs, that post added nothing to the conversation and was merely an attack on other people who post here so it has been removed.

      • American Idiot says:

OK, Thanks, Lynn. Great recap of Atlanta.

      • cdnfillie58 says:

LOL…maybe u should move Vilzvet comment too…the way it sits there all alone kinda makes me wonder what I missed too :P

        • vilzvet says:

Heheh, fillie! Yeah it looks kinda out of place now! I was just disturbed that now street names were being thrown about, whether in NJ or NY I don’t know, but the poster was missing a few screws.

  3. jezzibel says:

Darn I completely forgot that RHOA was on last night, I meant to watch it. I’m sure I’ll catch it on the bazillion times Bravo will rerun it.
I guess Kelly is trying to make herself relevant to this blog again.

    • jezzibel says:

@Rainbow I apologize for being leery about you, but with so many people claiming to have insider knowledge *coughtweetmaxine* its just eaiser to be skeptical and wary.

  4. MickeyMouth says:

Thanks for the update. I need to re-read the rainbow stuff. It was difficult to read and I lost interest. I saw the Kelly thing this morning. “never draw parallels between tv and real life” does this mean she’s back to it’s all an act. She really is dim.

  5. SavingGrace says:

RHOA is off to a great start…

I wondered why they didn’t present Cynthia last night but oh well, we see her coming.

I am a bit sad by the RH fav curse. You know, where your favorite housewife is sane in the first season and then in the second season she goes bat sh*t crazy.

First season I loved Nene. She was obnoxious, loud, funny and tells it like it is (ha! kinda like me.) Second season she derailed. Last night I could not believe she attacked Dwight. Why do these women go off on their gay husbands? She didn’t even ask if the rumors were true. She just went straight to bullying instead of getting a straight answer which I am sure Dwight would have given her.

Please Greg, a $500 investment???? What??? GTFO, with that B.S. lie. A $500 investment with a quick 40% return on investment?

I am not calling Nene bad looking because she is not BUT that nose job makes her look a bit odd. Her hair and skin are in bad condition. Lastly the woman needs to learn to wear proper undergarments. There was a gross shot of her back in last night episode where she would have benefitted from wearing a different top and a body smoother.

    • MAMAZ says:

I loved NeNe first season too. It makes me sad to see how full of herself she’s become. Ditto the undergarment observation, lol. She looks fantastic in the promo shot in the blue dress. It might also be in the credits, I missed the beginning. Reminds me of Joan from Mad Men. But the shot you are talking about, ewwwwww.

    • Rabble Rouser says:

I wonder what he sees in her. She is older- but certainly not wiser unless he is 100x dumber than he looks (he looks like a jock- but not an idiot). Her body isn’t very good- her hair is bad…and she smokes.

He must really want to be recognized- and seen.

      • floridagirl88 says:

With Big Poppa allegedly out of the picture, she needs someone to fund her lifestyle. I just hope this young man has a mother to tell him what’s up with all that.

  6. icantstandthetoxicity says:

Rob Shuter/Naughty Nice Rob is claiming that Teresa may get a spin-off show. It is obvious that Teresa is the source/insider.

    http://www.popeater.com/2010/10/05/teresa-giudice-housewives-spinoff/

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Why because she flipped a table, swear like a sailor and can growl like a rapid animal??? Hey Bravo is there a hugh market for watching that kind of crap?

      • icantstandthetoxicity says:

I heard that Teresa is leveraging for more money. She is filming season 3 of RHONJ but she is still negotiating with Bravo. Whenever Rob Shuter writes an article about Teresa, she is his source of information. She THINKS she is a bigger star than Bethenny but I don’t think Bravo agrees with her. LOL

        • Rabble Rouser says:

Unless success is measured in profanity, I don’t think Teresa is the breakout star she is claiming to be.

Bethany has surpasses her in book sales and in financial wealth. I also think Bethany attracts a more distinguished following/fan base.

      • lillybee says:

Theresa in prison is the only spin off I want to see.

      • Need a Hobby says:

        Rob’s fluffing again.

Some of his “exclusives” not so exclusive, he’s expanding on stuff previously reported and perhaps adds his own particular spin to inflate it and woo the subjects to use him as a favorable conduit.

Jenn Sale reported a while back that another network is trying to get Teresa on board…and meanwhile T’s playing hardball with Bravo.

She says T’s moved on from Rob after the “more books sold than B” boondoggle. I don’t know if it’s true that T dumped him, but why would someone use Rob when they can use People mag to get their info out? I can see someone feeding him crumbs while saving the “good stuff” for the big boys and girls, major media outlets.

    • justanothermary says:

From the article: “However I think we can all agree that Teresa is now the biggest star the franchise has ever created.” Take that Jill Zarin – BAM!!!

      • justanothermary says:

Gorillas in the zoo have a certain draw and may be interesting to watch. Gorillas on the loose, grifting, lying, driving drunk and shoving people around, not so much. No way they are gonna get a spinoff. At least I hope not!

      • WindyCityWondering says:

I think I would give that star title to Bethenny – Teresa could never hold a candle to B’s accomplishments. OTOH – Teresa’s legal woes ahead might be interesting but I am not interested in seeing a show from prison….

        • Amber...Real Wife says:

Is it just me or does it seem that Rob/Popshiteater dude is so pro MagillaGorilla and anti-Bethenny!
B must have really ignored this guy as he is intent on making TerribleTre a STAR!

All of his posts are skewed to promoting TMAN as the best, the most ____ everything of the HW’s franchise. WRONGO!!! We know she is the most crooked, most vulgar, most idiotic, most….

          • vilzvet says:

The last sentence of the story makes it clear Teresa is her own insider. And just because Teresa sold alot of magazines with her ugly mug on the cover doesn’t mean she’s “popular”, it could mean exactly the opposite! We want to see her go DOWN!

            • Rabble Rouser says:

For a while Kate Gosslin’s face was all over People- and other mags. She was the talk of the town (but clearly not the toast of it) but it’s not helping her in the ratings. Her show is losing hundreds of thousands of viewers week after week, her last book was panned by fans and critics, her new show Twist of Kate isn’t on the schedule nor is Kate plus 8 for next season.

For talentless ego maniacs- the higher they climb the harder the fall.

    (Sorry for the repost)

  8. Amber...Real Wife says:

Great blog! Atlanta was indeed a welcome change. It was funny and moved quite quickly. Everyone, is indeed playing to the cameras. Kim, Nene and Sheree especially. Kandi is just being herself. Phaedra seems very interesting and smart. She has already picked up the gauntlet thrown by Nene. I’m sure she knew Nene would not be welcoming of a independently wealthy, professional, younger, and attractive woman. Plus, they have home town rivalry going. I love it! Can’t wait for those sparks to fly.

Also, I must say I agreed with you re: Brielle’s table manners. That was so gross, I cringed and had to look away. Remembering it now is making me queasy. Yucka! Before she talks about dating her mom should’ve taught her your basic table manners.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Guessing Kim’s daughters are of that certain age where acting gross and disobedient are front and center – I like my housewives with ill mannered antics and I like my housewives’ kids off camera….. Kim didn’t even look up from her computer during that tender mother/daughter dating dialog! As for hoping they have good morals and values like she does? WTF did her parents instill in her…looking for d**k when she came out the womb?! Kim is still the trashy mess we all know but I will agree that she has toned down this season and playing for the camera. Have faith – true colors will come out sooner rather than later.

    • tweeterlaura says:

stunned when b got home from school, took off her shoes and put them on the kitchen counter. eeewwwww.

      • truelifediva says:

I took it as her showing off designer shoes. Kim, “Why did you wear those shoes?” Brielle, “Because they match this!” (They didn’t)

    • Phaedra didn’t come across as all that smart to me.Not only did she marry a man who has no problem with lying and cheating she also believes that since he signed a prenup that proves he loves her and not her money.Really? As if he gets zero benefit of her money through the lifestyle she affords him.And the fact he wasted no time getting a baby in the belly is telling also.
He got himself a good deal and she got conned.
I see her as a fool who is way too full of herself.Oh and he is NOT the same as Martha Stewart. What was he successful at before he went to prison?Martha’s crime and this losers is like comparing a white lie with years of many full blown con games.

    • Rabble Rouser says:

I couldn’t stop thinking how if that boy she was talking about saw her slurp ice cream like that- he wouldn’t be too eager to plant one on her. I have seen dogs lick peanut butter from the roofs of their mouths with more class than that.

  9. MAMAZ says:

I hope nobody minds me bringing this over from the last blog. I had just typed it and then Lynn posted the new blog. I was really moved by HD’s poem and wanted to let her know.

I haven’t been on in a while. Fall is a very busy time for me. A couple of observation and comments.
HD – Your poem was beautiful and very moving. You have real talent. I also was touched by your post concerning the objectification of African Americans as oversexualized. I had a class once on Race Relations in America. The professor made the same points. There are several ways these myths came about but they all revolved around the idea that African slaves were unable to control themselves sexually because they were more animal than human. Which soothed the consciences of “good Christian” slaveowners. We learned about Sarah Baartman in that class. What a heartbreaking story.Thank you for reminding me of it and calling it to the attention of everyone here.

TrueLifeDiva – New gravatar. Wow. You are such a beauty!

Justanothermary – I’m sorry you didn’t get the report you were hoping for. I will be thinking of you.

Wondering how Dwayne got to be the central character – introduces the Southern Belle Pillsbury Dough Girl (yeah Im not liking the lawyer lady), in the middle of NeNe and Greg’s marital woes and Sheree’s fashion disaster line show???
I am not liking the status shots either – NJ got Land Rovers and ATL has Mercedes Benz sponsors? Sheree’s immaculate kitchen island with a big old Birken bag sitting there for all to admire? And what is up with the last year shoe sale – throw some nibbles and wine in and that is supposed to be shoe heaven?? NeNe is now being driven around, has a chef prepare lunch and dresses like she is going to the opera – girl give your pal Kim something to wear (those tired, ripped jeans are getting boring!)…

But you know what…I am glad they are back!

    • fairydusted says:

There now you got into my closet in the ripped jeans department Windy City; But I gotta tell ya, when I saw Caroline sporting my Victoria’s Secret sweats, I shivered just a little.
Aces as always to Lynn for a fun and informative place to gather!

  11. Lynn thanks for validating Rainbow and in turn validating that my instincts are correct.Having been pointed out several times(in a round about way ofcourse) as the one big old dummy that believed Rainbow, this feels great!

    • WindyCityWondering says:

We tend to be skeptical of new posters, especially when they seem to possess inside information. The NJ franchise seems to thrive on rumors, secrets and threats. The attack on her was sickingly personal and unrelenting and we saw clearly that it was one individual. I am glad that Lynn reached out to her because the whole exchange was disturbing and so out of character for this community.

    • Raquel Papel says:

I believed Rainbow too…but I always like to make a margin for error. Even if she was telling lies, I found her story very entertaining.

    Lynn,

Thank you for stepping in and reaching out to @rainbow. It seemed like she was legit but then I just wasn’t too sure. So glad you cleared this up.

It concerned me she posted so much of her personal info, even the name of her dog! Anyone who knows her in Franklin Lakes could guess who she was, so I’m glad you took care of her.

I hope she posts again, once she was off the BlackBerry, I could understand her! LOL!

GREAT blog-thank you for having me at our little goat rodeo!

I am starting to think the media should stop talking about this. In some way they are helping to create this epidemic because for whatever reason, there is a increase in suicides whenever other suicides are highly publicized.

      • cdnfillie58 says:

I think we need the media to keep this problem upfront and centre. If nothing else, maybe more parents and families will pay closer attention to these kids, at least learn to recognize the signs if they’re reading the media reports IMO

        • Rabble Rouser says:

It’s hard to say, I think most people who know someone who committed suicide can look back at some of their behaviors before then and as see it as a cry for help but on the other hand, there is also sometimes a cult mentality to suicide. I think there is a fine line between creating awareness and creating hysteria.

    Great Atlanta Blog!
Nene’s scenes with Gregg made me sooo SAD! Just looking into his eyes you could see the disillusionment with how much his wife has changed.
I am already loving Phaedra, and I think there is much more to her background with Nene. Does anyone know the age difference between the two? Maybe the went to same school but different grades and so they know “of” each other but were never acquaintances. Either way, you can bet Phae has some dirt.

I’m Bringing Blogging Back also blogs the RHOA if you are interested, he cracks me up: http://www.imbringingbloggingback.com/2010/10/05/real-housewives-of-atlanta-recap-kims-been-chasing-dck-since-she-came-out-of-the-womb-end-quote/

    Have a great Tuesday!

    • PaganChick says:

I don’t know anything about Nene and Phaedra’s history, but I do know Phaedra. We went to the same small womens college in Macon. So, I have spoken with her at alum events and I have seen her a few times around Atlanta (where I now live). She is a really sweet lady and is extremely smart. She just seems to make the same mistakes with men. She seems really happy with this guy so I hope it works out for her. You know you really can’t tell a woman that she has picked the wrong guy no matter how smart they are. They have to figure it out for themselves.

Welcome. Don’t know if you have posted here before. Enjoy!

Thanks American Idiot. I’ve posted a few times during the New York season, but usually I lurk because the comments move to fast for me.

Phaedra went to law school, Nene was a stripper. There might not only be professional jealousy, but financial. Phaedra earns her own money and as she stated, buys real stuff not fakes. Nene is such a disappointment. I really liked her spirit in S1 but now she is more of an embarrassment. I think that Gregg’s rant on radio was the real thing. Had he known he was being recorded, he would never had admitted to problems with his wife.

  15. Adgirl says:

    RHOA:
So the Greg and Dwight thing totally did not make any sense at all. Greg needed Dwight to “invest” $500? and Dwight would make a $200 profit?
What kind of investment was this – a bet on a horse race, drugs?
I can’t imagine middle age men planning on rinky-dink investments of $500.
Or did Greg borrow $10,000 and not pay it back?

Does anyone else think this connection between Dwight and Greg is STRANGE?

And why would Dwight pay $30,000 towards SheMan’s fashion show?
What exactly cost so much? Flowers? Hair extensions? Dwight’s lips?

Again, this is also quite STRANGE.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

It seems like a strange “partnership” and who makes a $500 “investment”? NeNe always seems to pick the wrong place, the wrong time and the wrong way to approach other people’s business. IMO it was not her place to get into her husband’s business and start throwing checks around! And why wasn’t the check for $10,000 – cause I don’t see any real drama in $500…..

      • Rabble Rouser says:

I agree the $500amount seems strange- in my experience that amount and the $200 return is the same type of dollar amounts you see in pyramid schemes or “Christmas Clubs”.

In someways it’s kind of moot how much money was put up. The point is Greg went to a friend of NeNe’s for money without discussing it with her- it didn’t work out and comprised the friendship.

      • truelifediva says:

But did you catch Dwight saying, “I don’t want a check, I gave him CASH.” Really? $10,000 in cash? I don’t think it was $500 or $10,000 but something in the middle. Gregg is keeping secrets and I think Dwight exaggerates frequently. Gregg was wrong for not telling NeNe. Dwight was wrong for blabbing about it (especially motormouth Kim) to other people without approaching NeNe first. And don’t get me started on the alleged $30,000 he’s claiming he blew on Shit by Sheree. ;-)

        • fairydusted says:

Seriously RLD. Strange and stupid. And sneaky. I’m surprised NeNe’s stink eye didn’t kill his ass on contact.

  16. Adgirl says:

Seriously. Too much of NeNe in sleeveless clothes. Back cleavage. Side cleavage. Arm cleavage. ICK.

And I’m so sick of Kim wearing those strange “designer” shirts and dresses that look torn off an actress at Medieval Times.

I kept thinking Kim was going to whip around and knock someone out with those Knockers.

    • When I see the way we judge these women for an extra ounce it quite frankly pisses me off.Not only is it shallow but it shows little consideration to those of us reading that are far from perfect.Do you ever think of what a window to the thoughts of how we are judged by other women this presents and how detremental it could be?
Knock the hideous boob jobs, bad wigs, and ill fitting clothes. Those things are a matter of choice.Body type is genetics, body weight is a very complex mental and physical issue and neither should be up for ridicule.IMO

      • Ellabean says:

Coyoteeflower, you may have missed the point. I think when remarks are made here about Nene’s body cleavage visible in so many ways, I think it has more to do with how Nene chooses to showcase her body – not that she has an imperfect body or a perfect body. The whole discussion of critiqueing the body is not about “an extra ounce” – it is exactly as you say about “ill-fitting clothes” and general bad taste .

Nene has a va- va- va- boom body. I think she is a shapely women with beautiful curves and skin. She loooks great in so many of her dresses in all shades of the rainbow – but for goodness sakes, she needs a good bra or good “foundation” as our mothers would call it. When your assets are falling out every which way most of the time, it takes away from the fashion you are wearing . That is all.

Hey I thought that about Ramona form NY. She has such a cute figure – remember when she showed it off in her bikini at Scarey Island? But I often noticed that when she wore barer dresses, that she really needed some better boob support. Flippy floppy-ness is not attractive after a certain age. Believe me, I know. ;)

    Thintervention Week Five

Using aggression to beat the fat off your rear end

From the first moments of the first episode of “ Intervension,” the words “Body, Mind and Soul” have been splashed up in large bold letters on our screens. Jackie Warner knows all our dirty little secrets. She has a formula that looks at the input of food and the output of exercise that takes into account the current weight of the client, their height, and body frame. The truth is numbers never lie. People lie.

Several of the team members have had injuries which have affected the weight measurements that take place at the end of every week. Joe is recovering and should be healthy next week, Shay is going to a doctor for her knee. Brian has ongoing back issues.

Jackie Warner is monitoring all food input with a blackberry and the team mates are required to send her the information after they put a grape in their mouth. She knows that several people are lying to her.

Our workouts for this week are going to tear the upper body apart and rebuilt it in Jackie’s image. She shows us her arms and that is the goal of everyone in that room. Jackie explains that strong muscles in the shoulders and upper arms makes movie stars look great in Rachel Zoe fashions on red carpets. She uses the letter “V” to explain that the waist looks tiny when you have developed shoulders.

To achieve the Cameron Diaz “V,” Jackie takes all of the upper body exercise to failure.
There was the up and down using a bench and the floor while sucking your stomach into your spine, weight bar exercise which force you to lift 20 lbs or more into the heavens when you arms muscles are burning, and using your arms to lift your body from the floor up and down while you are wondering if the teacher is really a member of the 15th Century Medici of Family known for the penchant in creating torture devices.

Jackie knows that Shay and Stacy are cheating. They are skipping meals. It is extremely important to eat 5 times a day. If you allow your body to “starve,” survival kicks in and your body will try to use the carbs for fat storage. Jackie wants everyone to eat every three hours.

The workout in Jackie’s Gym is upper body cardio for Joe who has the ankle injury. His upper body has improved so much that he loves it and wants to succeed. Brian is also committed now as he has observed the change in his body and success breeds success. Mandy is almost there. Her diet is fantastic and she only has a few pounds to go. These three are winners and Jackie recognized their efforts.

Stacy has Polycystic Ovary Disease which affects the metabolizing of sugar in the body.
She visits the doctor and he takes an additional 700 calories per week off her already tiny allotment of food. She was allowed 1375 calories per day and now she will only have 1275 calories per day. The doctor told her to cut back on fruit sugars also as they can affect her ability to lose weight. I have a feeling this was not something Stacy wanted to hear.

Jackie spends a great deal of time with the “cheaters” this week. She visits Nikki several times and tries to help Nikki, the life counselor, figure out her own life. Because Joe has jealousy issues, Jackie takes him to a part and begins the cardio workout of his dreams. Well, it’s more a cardio workout that Jackie dreams about in her sleep. Joe is puffing, but is willing. Jeana and Mandy show up for the good time and then the heavens open. It appears that it does rain in Southern California every time our team goes to a park to work out.

Brian is officially, Jackie Warner’s spy now. He finds Nikki drinking in West Hollywood and tries to talk sense into her. That fails. The girl has issues.

Jackie visits the mom and daughter team and the mom looks a lot better. Shay, her daughter seems to be beginning to want change.

Apparently, Jackie thinks that adrenaline is produced when people are under stress or angry and that will burn extra calories so she takes them to a mixed martial arts gym on a Canyon Road. They beat the fat off each other, throw each other on the floor. Brian yells at Jackie. I think yelling at Jackie burns 12.4 calories per minute. BTW, if you want to get out of the hell of a work out don’t tell the teacher that you have a dull pain or a burning pain. They like that. Say, “Sharp Pain!” That is the key. Trust me on this.

Dinner at Mandy’s was great for four members of the cast. The menu was straight from Jackie Warner’s book: grilled salmon, shrimp tartar, grilled vegetables of all kinds and water with lemon juice.

It’s the end of the week and weigh in time. Usually, the therapy comes first, but this week 4 members get lie detector tests. Shay ate more than 1300 calories per day. Jeana lied over and over again. Nikki drank over 22 cocktails this week. The two cast mates in the deepest hole are Jeana and Nikki. They don’t seem to care and with long term weight loss and fitness, it’s all about Mind, Body, and Soul. If you can not connect to your own thoughts and feelings, you will fail. I suspect that Jeana and Nikki know this from years of therapy. Next week, Jackie will put Jeana and Nikki on the rack and turn the wheel until they agree to follow the program exactly. If it works, physical trainers all over America will be buying the Jackie Warner truth rack available in black and white.

    • Adgirl says:

Soooo, did Jeanna lose any weight?
I’ve tried to watch this show. I just don”t care for Jackie.

      • quincyil says:

        Joe -3
        Mandy -4
        Brian -6
        Jeana +1
        Shay -3
        Stacy -1

I tend to stay away from these numbers because they are building lean muscle at the same time. I know that Jackie checked body fat because many were 40 to 50% fat. I bet we will get those numbers in the end.

Is it weird that I remembered how much weight they lost this week?

        • Adgirl says:

That is awesome that you did remember. I’ll bet you can recall all of your old telephone numbers and addresses too.

          • quincyil says:

I remember my grandparents telephone number from their house on Addison Street. Graceland 3 8885. Phone numbers were assigned by phone companies in the 50’s and many companies used words to indicate the phone company center nearest that home.

I remember the day the Cubs won the world series too.

      • fairydusted says:

Yeah I tried too just to check out Jeanna but I wanted to take a swing at Jackie .

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Thanks Quincy – nice summary and more good tips for us too! IMO neither Jeanna or Nicki are serious about this and are wasting both Jackie and the audience’s time.

      • golfnut says:

I agree with WCW, Jeanna & Nicki are not serious. They are wasting Jackie’s time, but not the audience. Many in the audience are “Jenna (eat without thinking) & Nicki (drink too many calories)” and maybe they will see themselves in that, you can’t cheat and have success, and then make a change in their own lives that Jenna & Nicki are not willing to make. Sometimes we learn more from watching someone reflect our own faults and that motivates a change. IMO.
        Thanks for the re-cap Q!

    • nathania says:

I liked this episode, I have to hand it to Jackie Warner. When someone looks at me and says “I’m not lying” and starts crying like Stacy did, I believe them. Jackie is a hard-@ss, and I don’t blame her since it’s her reputation on the line. I am glad she made them take lie detectors. I tell you, if looks could kill, they would have been carrying people out of that room on stretchers. It was almost comical how mad Jackie looked. I wonder if she ever watches the clips of her when she gets like that. I thought it was disrespectful of Brian to yell at her like that. I could have slapped him. He and the other guy, I think his name is joe, have been taking cheap shots at the women on there this whole time, calling them ‘fatty-patties’ and all that stuff. It’s ironic because since men have a much higher percentage of muscle mass than women they are actually fatter than the ‘fatty-patties’ they mock. I sometimes don’t think Jackie knows how to handle these guys. What gives with Jeanna? She is so disinterested in this whole process. It has to be a contract requirement like people have said, there is no other explanation for how little she cares. Brian called her ‘elitist’…I am wondering, what does she have to be elitist about? I came to OC late in the game so I really don’t get that part. I started out really liking Stacy but now I find she is really grating on my nerves. The lying stuff blew me away, she really does the ‘miss pitiful’ act very well. And the blind date they filmed was embarassing. She is just not comfortable in her skin. Nikki is kind of right about the criticisms but she could find a better way to express them to Stacy, if Stacy even values her opinion. I guess most people do end up doing these shows for the camera time since most of them want to work in show businessin some form or another. Jackie ain’t playin’. LOL.

      • quincyil says:

Jackie has this crash fitness program down to a science. At first, I wondered how taking the 700 calories /week away from Stacy was going to make the huge difference that the doctor mentioned. On my walk, just know I realized that Jackie was told of the effect on insulin from the sugars of fruit that Stacy was adding to make those delicious protein shakes. I saw blue berries and lots of them in that shake. Jackie took all 700 calories from fruit. That girl is on a no sugar diet.

In a way, we post menopausal women have a similar protein in how our bodies use sugar.

Stacy was having insulin resistance because of her Polycystic Ovary Disease and hormone fluctuations. Something similar happens in Menopause.

I stole this: (at least I’m honest. lol.. I gave the link below.)

        “Weight Gain:

At this time, most women (around 2/3 of women) experience weight gain or difficulty maintaining their usual weight. Most women will gain about 10 to 15 pounds during their menopausal years. You also discover that the weight gain tends to accumulate around the abdomen, rather than the hips and thighs as before menopause. People commonly refer to this as an “apple” shape, because the stomach area becomes rounder. An extra pound before menopause will settle evenly over hips, bottom, thighs, and arms. After menopause, it all goes round the middle! Most of this weight will come on gradually – generally about a pound a year.

As you enter the early stages of menopause, maintaining weight becomes more and more difficult, and losing weight becomes almost impossible. This is because of the fluctuation in your hormones. Your body’s hormones have a direct impact on your appetite, metabolism, and fat storage. At this stage, women develop “insulin resistance” making their bodies store fat, rather than burn calories. This “insulin resistance” changes how our bodies handle the foods we eat. For example, if you ate 1,000 calories before menopause, you would burn 700 of them and store around 300. After menopause, your body will store 700 and burn only 300! This is a big difference, and the result is weight gain! Even a modest weight gain can result in a change of dress size.

Excessive weight gain could also be a sign that something is wrong with your hormone levels, blood sugars, or eating habits. Visit your doctor if your weight gain is out of control. Excessive fat stored around the abdomen can lead to an increased risk for heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, breast cancer, and high cholesterol.”

I went through menopause 3 years ago and the fact of the matter is that I will never be a size 6. I workout everyday and watch what I eat and it is true that your metabolism slows down to a crawl. I think that is what is making Jeana’s ability to lose weight even more difficult. Menopause and her mind set.

I copied and pasted the article below:

In new legal documents filed by their attorney, Teresa and Joe Giudice are fighting back against accusations that they hid major assets from the United States Bankruptcy Court. RadarOnline.com has the papers in which the Giudices outline their defense.

        Read The Giudices’ Response

In September, Roberta A. DeAngelis, the US Trustee overseeing the Giudices’ bankruptcy petition, requested Judge Morris Stern not grant the couple’s Chapter 7 bankruptcy petition because of the many “falsehoods” and omissions in their filing. The complaint takes special note of the fact that Teresa signed a contract for $250,000 for her book “Skinny Italian” just one week before filing for bankruptcy but didn’t include that deal among her assets. They also didn’t disclose, according to the complaint, “Defendant husband’s bank account, two pieces of real property, the Defendants’ vehicles…”

        PHOTOS: Reality TV’s Hottest Stars

James A. Kridel, the Giudices’ lawyer, filed a response to the complaint on October 4. In the papers, Joe and Teresa claim any omissions were mere accidents rather than intentional deletions aimed to hide money or assets.

In response to the allegation that Joe left off two New Jersey properties from the original filing, the document states: “Debtors/defendant Giuseppe Giudice admits the allegations contained in paragraph twenty-eight (28) of plaintiff’s complaint only to the extent that he inadvertently omitted the ownership of certain LLCs which in turn owned certain real estate, none of which were any value to the estate,”

        PHOTOS: Real Housewives Boob Jobs

In terms of Teresa’s book and her ownership of TG Fabulicious, LLC, Kridel says Teresa denies the allegations and similar to Joe’s defense, omitted them from the original filing inadvertently. Teresa also says the LLC had “no value.”

PHOTOS: Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills Cast Revealed

In regards to mysterious bank account deposits amounting to $192, 620.90 during the three months after their filing, Kridel says there is more than what meets the eye: “Debtors/defendants admit the allegations…but note that withdrawals on said account during the time period referenced left a balance of approximately $3,041.38 in said bank account, not $192, 620.90.”

    • Waxdiva says:

There’s a lot of ‘accidentally’ and ‘inadvertently’ in that story! The Guidices and their attorney must think the US bankruptcy court is just playin’ around with them. Tre and Joe are both swimming in their own sea of deceit and think they can get away with what they presented to the court. Can’t wait to see what happens next, ’cause I doubt that they will skate away from the mess they made.

The final balance on the account was in the initial filing in the first place and this is the “co-mingled funds” account. So they are saying “Yes we didn’t disclose this incoming money but we spent it anyway so what does it matter”.

        • WindyCityWondering says:

I had also agreed with one of the posters who said Franklin Lakes is a small town with a big gossip mill and that’s correct it’s always he said, Jimmy at the meat packing place said this and that.I also appologized to certain families and said I was wrong for posting what I posted it was immature and I backed down and away from it

to the poster that ask if I know who contacted my relatives yes I do but I don’t know if it’s the same person who reacted to me before I posted I told a few friends I was going to post things about the others but I did not tell anyone which and whose site I was going to post on .

wall street lady I didn’t start any rumors about Joey affair with Tara. There is a Tara yes! that’s associated with Teresa and Joey but that Tara is a cousin of Teresa SIL and I just don’t see her and Joey hooking but stranger things have happen , it was something thrown out there by Teresa camp only friends and family know a Tara no random stranger would magically throw out her name saying he had an affair with a Tara , it was a dumb and stupid move and alot of people took the bait

the posted who said, I said I m a friend of the Manzo’s, no I said I know them but not on a buddy buddy level. My parents know Teresa parents for years. To the other poster asking about what Bev did to Claudine? it was said that Bev was friends with someone who knows them and that person told Bev Tommy was abusive to Claudine she then went around talking about it , word got back to Claudine ex husband family that Bev was the one telling every Tom dick and Harry .. that Tommy was abusi
g Claudine then the family contacted Bev for more information because they feared for the safety of the minor that’s living in the home

the ex husband and his family contacted social services , they didn’t remove the minor so, they tried taking it to court, that Tommy was abusing his ex wife and there’s a minor in the home, but nothing couldn’t be done because there weren’t any evidence of the wife going to any hospitals, clinics, or filed any reports of abuse supporting the claims and allegations of spousal abuse so it was squashed left done and over with

to the commack shopper . I was talking about a pizza place call filetto’s it’s next to the IGA center best pizza their pizza’s are more tastey than those places I go to in little Italy

I have never witnessed a multiple personality troll attack before and it was scary! We try to be respectful of each other here and don’t attack each other personally.
The whole small town big gossip mill is a sad fact in many places. Question: What kind of rumors do the Manzo clan circulate and why? What rumors set them off the most? Does Dina really need to be protected from herself?

    • vilzvet says:

Well, you must mean Tommy abusing his WIFE, not ex-wife, which would be Dina. Interesting, did not consider that angle.

Yes, Filetto’s pizza! I went there often because I used to work down the street. Since I was laid off in March have not been back even though it’s only minutes away. Brick oven pizza!

      • quincyil says:

Still, this is a rumor and rumors are not always fact. I have rumors about stuff here, but I don’t spread them because you have no idea what goes on behind closed doors.

        • You have rumors and you’re not sharing? Isn’t that in violation of the rules? 8~)

          • quincyil says:

Just rumors from this town. People tell me stuff and I don’t share with others. I try to be polite, but so much is really not my business. My mom knows a lot from her Church and I half listen then quickly forget.

    • OneMoreinBoston says:

      Hi @rainbow-

I posted a few blogs back that I thought Dina had been abused, but I thought it was by husband #1, not Tommy. No evidence at all regarding my hunch but Just a funny feeling…

Thank you for posting again, and a BIG thank you for taking responsibility and owning up to what was untrue. Takes a lot of class to do that. kudos

I’m glad you’re here, glad that you are ok, and hope to see you regularly.

    • Diana says:

Hi Rainbow, sorry you took so many hits. And I’m really happy to see they didn’t scare you off. I am *very* intrigued about what you had to say about Kim G’s health. Can you elabourate at all on that?

    • Need a Hobby says:

Rainbow: So are you saying it was Teresa’s camp pushing the “Tara” story hoping people/net media would would bite, run with it and then look like fools for doing so?

It’s been noticed that someone or a number of someones had been pushing that Tara story hard for a while, to the point of setting up fake Twitter accts. Too blatant not to arouse suspicion.

Thing is, untrue rumor once it’s out can be believed and accepted faster and for longer than less salacious and more boring truth. And while the Tara thing may well have been all manufactured, does anyone now think Joe has just been keeping his juice at home for all those years? (Frankly, I’m just fine with never having been led to even think about Joe’s juices at all. Maybe that should be a visualization exercise on Thintervention: before each meal, ponder the juiciness of Joe “Juicy” G. )

With the DWI and that little unfortunate financial matter (bankruptcy), what genius in their camp would think it was a good idea to start an internet rumor about more shit? What are they, 13?

    • nathania says:

      oh. my. god.

of all the different stories that have been going on about this, this version makes more sense than anything I have heard.

because it never made sense to me that Danielle would have any motive to be involved in any attempt to have Dina lose custody JUST based on the forging of Dina’s ex’s signature.

but if there was abuse going on, which would surprise no one thanks to the vh1 wedding video in which Tommy treats Dina like a walking joke and that’s the kindest version I can come up with…then that muddies the waters a bit. just about anyone would hand over a phone number if they knew someone, based on that kind of activity being suspected.

Why on earth would Caroline misconstrue this to be Danielle’s fault. If there is a problem in the marriage that is normal everyday stuff, at least if you are talking about child custody cases. The more details that come out about this the sicker Caroline Manzo appears to be.

    Hi Waxdiva
May I b so bold as to ask
What does ur moniker mean & why did u pick it ?

  20. Obsessed with RH says:

As an attorney it infuriates me that T and J are continuing to work the system with their bull sh*t excuses and nonsense…god bless the american justice system…sadly, I would bet that those two will get away with everything and in 5 years repeat the same sequence of events. They both need to fall down a black hole and never come back again.

With regards to Atlanta, I literally vomited seeing Kim’s daughter speak with her mouth full…repulsive. I have to say I am not a fan of Phaedra. She comes across as obnoxiously pretentious meanwhile it’s clear she is doing so to compensate for a lack of something (confidence, a husband who hasn’t been in prison? who knows). I am excited to see NeNe tear into her because that is just a matter of time. Finally, how dare Phaedra try to excuse her husband’s actions. When you go to prison it is because you did something WRONG, i.e., you broke societal rules, you didn’t get a time out that we should “get over.” I’m not saying that he needs to be lambasted and never forgiven for his actions but perhaps she should be a little less cavalier with her statements.

One more thing….if one more of these women refers to themselves as “classy” I might lose it….they are al the furthest thing from classy.

    • quincyil says:

They seem to fit with their Atlanta society and to be accepted there. That room full of well dressed women welcomed Phaedra.

    • You are an attorney and you think they will get away with everything?
      How?Why?

    • Adgirl says:

At least Phaedra is educated which is more than I can say for many of the ladies on RH shows.

    • nathania says:

Why do you think they will ‘get away with it’?

Since you are an attorney, I mean, because you have more knowledge about the topic at hand…they do seem to be treating it as a complete joke and I would like to think that the joke is on them but I don’t want to get my hopes up. Is it normal for people to be this dirty and this much in debt and get a free pass?

    • Waxdiva says:

As an atty, perhaps you could substantiate your comment with some backup… maybe site a case or two similar to the Joo-dices?

IMO, they’re not going to get away with anything. Their scam goes wide and deep. If you are an atty, you can access public records and see what I’m speaking of.

    • klmh says:

Agree with you on all points, including Phaedra, and I am afraid T&J will not be punished as they deserve. The law in NJ seems to be a bit more lenient for these types of people, than in other states, imo.

      • the law in New Jersey is no more lenient than any other state.
We are further behind in foreclosures than most other states because our housing market held up longer.

        • Obsessed with RH says:

I’m sorry for not prefacing that comment, I meant to say I am an attorney and sadly even though I think they’re completely guilty, they will probably get away with their nonsense because of their “celebrity status” much like Lindsay Lohan. They are as guilty as they come but their lawyers are doing a great job of working every technicality in the book. I’m sorry I didn’t respond yesterday I had a crazy afternoon. I in no way meant that they would get away with it because they had any legal basis. For those that asked I am a civil litigation attorney and have also practiced in corporate litigation as well as estate litigation, administration and planning.

Remember if the trustee can prove there was intent to conceal ; it is fraud w/criminal intent which is a felony.
    Shall we wager ?

    • Obsessed with RH says:

The trustee said they would tell you something big in 4 weeks? Really? Hmm…maybe I will take back my prior statement…It would be like Christmas coming early if those disgusting human beings were put away for life.

    • lillybee says:

I think it is a sure thing.

    • Waxdiva says:

Obviously I overlooked your post stating any personal communication with The Trustee. So interesting… I’m sure he won’t find it difficult to prove their intent. I’ll wager that the Joo-dices will be in jail and their mansion will be sold. Wonder if Dina will fulfill her obligation as a Godmother and take over the mother role for Audriana?

    • WindyCityWondering says:

WSL – to get this to a felony by proving intent – when does “we forgot” happen too many times to be an excuse? it wasn’t just the book contract (and they spent the advance) but properties – how can you forget you own a piece of property???

Just remembered something!!!!! Hasn’t Teresa told on the 2. episode of the Italy trip that SHE owns a house in that village?????? Where is that asset listet in her documents???? I think it’s missing as well….does the Trustee knows about the object????
Altough she said as well that the house needs lot’s of work etc….as being half Italian i know that just the ground of the house in such an area and view is worth a lot!!!!!!!!! Cuz italian companies love to buy such places…and build sth new on it….and they pay quite a lot therefore…

So..was Teresa again hiding an asset?????????????????????????

    • WindyCityWondering says:

It was her father’s house in Italy, but then both her parents and Joe’s parents are co signers on numerous properties….

    • vilzvet says:

I kinda think by saying “WE own” she really meant her parents’ home that they left, but who knows? I mean, why would Joe and Teresa purchase a home in Italy when they had only been there a few times in their marriage? I believe it’s the parents’ home and Teresa was just trying to brag.

    • LynnNChicago says:

I wondered about that too while they were in Italy, I thought she said that it had been Joe’s parents home, my guess is that it’s still in their name until the will takes affect, then it will be Joe’s (and Teresa’s if she’s still married to him) She did once say it was her’s but later she said something about having the money to fix it up for Joe’s father.

    Hi. Thanks for ur post.
What does ur name mean ?
    I have a WSt career.

Do u know her age ? Can u guess NeNe’s.
I had wanted to go to Agnes Scott but didn’t get in.
I am excited to finally have a lawyer. I think she has the most professional career of any housewives in any City.

    • PaganChick says:

I just liked the name and that is why I chose it. It’s what I used to use to post on TWOP before they became ridiculous with the board closings. Phaedra is about 4 years older than I am so she is 38 or 39. I don’t know how old NeNe is, I assumed she was in her mid to late 40’s so they wouldn’t have gone to school together but would probably have known of each other through their families.

Athens isn’t a tiny town but because UGA is located there, it has a very locals vs. Visitors vibe so depending on what area of Athens both Nene and Phaedra have lived in the two of them would have probably interacted outside of school.

Phaedra didn’t go to Agnes Scott. We went to Wesleyan which is how I know her. She graduated the year before I started and she and a bunch of other recent graduates came back to meet the freshmen and become mentors to us. And so I would see her at things like that and then when I graduated I would see her at Alumni events.

I’m actually a little embarrassed for her that she chose to go on this show, I don’t think its going to be good for her career in the long run. But, she is a very smart and very successful attorney. Like I said, she has had a tendency to make the same mistake in her personal life when it comes to picking men.

It’s something I’ve seen a lot of smart women do, so I try not to judge her too harshly and I really do hope it works out for her.

  25. quincyil says:

Kim is something. She hopes her daughters will have her values. I think they will.

  26. quincyil says:

Reality was almost real last night in Atlanta. We saw Kim Z in a magazine. At first, I thought this was a first, but in the beginning of season two NYC, Jill and Alex had the fight over the articles that they attacked each other on. Kim has no job other than being an Atlanta housewife so seeing that she is famous from the show on the show was odd. I don’t remember OC or NJ doing this. The reality of these women becoming stars is here now. I’m sure Gregg knows that.

I am with Olivia. So many things in these shows are contrived. Nene and her husband have very little money. Her book was a flop and Bravo doesn’t pay a lot.
They hire cooks and dress for a salad lunch with Kim. That surely had to be for the show.

Nene also spoke of her money when talking to Kim in the limo. I wonder how that works. Gregg paid the bills on the house and Nene has her money to spend on her things? I googled the divorce and he wants alimony. That must make Nene furious.

  27. Loved the interview!!!
I think it should be a weekly thing. “Twitter and blog drama updates.”
I just gave you 5 stars. I was going to do it earlier but it was at 12, and I didn’t want to put the 13th star so I waited. Haha.
I didn’t see Atlanta yet so I’m staying out of the conversation till I’ve seen it.

I am sure she DIED when she saw herself on tape. At her age I would have wanted to leave & go live w/my grandmother in her tiny town & hoped none of the kids were allowed to watch the Ho wives.
I bet she grows up to b a beauty w/a good sense of self. At least I pray she does since her mom has been chasing D#*k since birth.

  29. On the chance that anyone who knows the Manzo’s/Lauritas visits this page, can someone please tell their niece to fix her site?
I wrote a blog on this last week, and the mistake is still there.

    http://njhousewives.blogspot.com/2010/10/who-is-susan-b-komen-and-what-does-she.html

I’m not saying that dedicating a bracelet to breast-cancer fund isn’t a nice thing to do, but The Red-Envelope company, for one example, to explain why it is wrong to just use someone’s name like that without permission, ….well Red-Envelope pays a guaranteed $50,000 donation to be able to use the foundation’s name, and sell products in their name.
(its at the bottom of the Red-Envelope page)

    http://www.redenvelope.com/pink-gifts-rpink

In the meantime, I also happened to notice how much the “Susan” bracelet looks like a fertility bracelet sold by someone else. I’ve seen some conversations online talking about C. Laurita offering a “fertility bracelet” on her site, yet there is no “fertility” bracelet to be found there currently. I cannot help but wonder if the fertility bracelets have been recycled into breast cancer tribute bracelets, and maybe some people don’t believe in such things, but IF something like that was done, (and I’m not saying that it was, just wool-gathering here), IF someone for some reason had “fertility” beads that they could not sell for one reason or another, and then sold them as something else……………well, shouldn’t there be a warning?

    • Waxdiva says:

Lee Najaar (Big Poppa) has enough money to keep Kim, his wife and kids living very comfortable, according to published articles. I don’t think $10 thou/mo is a big deal to him.

I don’t know how true that is anymore, his money was in real estate development so I am sure he has been affected by the economy. Last year I looked him up in the county clerks office and he had dozens of pending lawsuits against him for alleged non payment.

I think he is a grander version of Juicy.

I Also said it’s always a he said she said saga in the town. I also posted that I was pissed at Teresa because she ran into one of my friends also ex friend to Teresa at a local store and didn’t acknowledge her ,the same woman I loan the money to, to invest into Teresa and joe get rich scheme after hearing about it I got angry and went on a rant in between those rants I clearly said it was he said she said

I posted today I have appologized to the other families that I dragged into my rants personally and right after my rants I cleared up some things I posted with Lynn . I said over and over again my intentions were to attack one person but I went on ranting about others when I clearly shouldn’t have.

I also appologized to the entire blog after my rants on Saturday, and appologized earlier today saying I backed down and backed off! wow why does my head hurt? lol to the other poster Dina ‘s an ex wife to someone else her ex husband and his family contacted the authorities after Bev told them Tommy was abusing Dina nothing happen because there weren’t any evidence supporting those physical abuse claims.

to the other poster asking about Teresa auction saga I clearly said she was in on it the entire time while Joe was out getting bank loans she was busy sugar coating their next victims to invest in their so call business adventures, even though those people were warned of Teresa and Joe shady dealings in the past .the woman and her family still invested and thought nothing of it because Joe was busy riding around in his 100 thousand dollar cars, flashy watches , while Teresa walked around town flashing expensive accsessories and spending cash like they were printing the money themselves. Since my friend saw them living the good life they decided to go ahead and. Invest even though the warnings were highy visable

I could have understand if they were ripping people off and saving for their daughters future which still wouldn’t justify their wrong doings but they lived and laugh on my dime and every other tax payers dime. I know how these things work joes going to plead down those charges in about a month and a half while Teresa pleads down to probation! While their attorney’s going to “working on an agreement” to resolve paying their victims . If the courts were smart enough they’d know most of Joes cash assests are over in ITALY!

And they should all stop wasting court and attorny fee and all parties involve time with all this paper work and paper chasing none sense I
the end we “re all still going to get screwed by their careless and reckless behavior in the end he’s not going to get any hard jail time him nor Teresa .

To commack shopper that’s the pizza place :) and to know you use to work close to it wow small world pretty scarey lol , who’s big poppa? Saw diva wrote big poppa who’s smaller than Kim? Is that her father?

      • lillybee says:

That really sounds possible. I would like to know who is giving them the 10k per month.

        • Waxdiva says:

OK… here’s how the Joo-dices do it. They give their family (my guess is their parents) a ton of money and then they claim that the same people are gifting them $10 thou/mo. It’s just another way of laundering money… I’m sure they are very knowledgable about other money laundering schemes as well.

          • Speaking-of Teresa’s family, from the way that I understand it, her parents may not speak English very much. (I could be wrong because I also heard that her mom was a school-bus driver)-
I have this little fantasy in my mind of Teresa’s mom finding-out how Teresa has been lying about doing everything by herself with no help, and never thanking her mom, and her mother going all “Teresa-table-flipping”, on her.

        • klmh says:

Since a gift can be worth only 11,000 yearly without being taxed, I sure hope someone is checking to see the rest of the 109,000 or whatever is taxed.

          • NormaJean says:

Gifting limits are per person not per family, including children.

          • WindyCityWondering says:

they do it per person – 6 in the family! Just do the math lol….better question where is Joe’s dad getting all that money that he is gifting them!!

            • Waxdiva says:

OK… the Joo-dices get a huge pile of money. They don’t want to declare it and don’t want to bank it. They ‘give’ it to their relatives (his parents, her parents, mayber relatives in the old country). The relatives ‘gift’ it back to them piecemeal… per their bankruuptcy docs, $10 thou per month. It’s their own money they’re getting back.

    • AZ Girl says:

I am glad it is all cleared up and I am sure you were very frustrated. Joe and Teresa will have to answer to a higher authority whether it be the court system or in the after life. Unfortunately, their daughters are going to have to live with this all their lives and that to me is so sad.

      • Adgirl says:

We lost not just the loaned money, but also the legal fees and the severe damage it has done to us personally and professionally (esp to my husband).
All because of a loan to supposively reputable people. And guess what? They are still at it. Nothing touches them!!
        So, I COMPLETELY feel you.

        You are among friends here.

        • Waxdiva says:

Adgirl: You mentioned this before, either on this site or RCH. How were you taken by the scammer?

          • Adgirl says:

We loaned money and sold product to friends of friends. We checked them out as well as possible and paid the loans directly to the vendors. The people (ex-spouses) sued in back to back lawsuits for millions of dollars alleging we forged dozens of signed documents, promised them more money you name it.
They were trying to force large cash settlements because to go to trial civilly costs around $200- $400K in defense fees. Their attorney was personal injury lawyer working on contingency. The cases were dropped before depositions.
They are broke with no assets so we couldn’t get anything back. Plus the man is super nuts. Threatening letters, hang up calls, broke into our mail box and he reported us to Homeland Security – really. So we’ve moved away and are living on the down low.
My husband is super bitter. I’m glad we got out alive.

            • Waxdiva says:

I think jail is too good for the Guidice’s. Too cushy. I think that once the Chilean miners are rescued (which happily looks to be sooner than initially thought), that they should lower Tree and Juicy down there for a year or two. Hmmm…I’m being too generous. Just keep them down there indefinitely. The kids can be lowered down every other weekend for visitation (without babysitters) just to add to T & J’s torment. Does that mean that the exhusband DID get a monitary award and that’s how he’s getting paid? This leaves poor little Danielle penniless.

  38. Perez is reporting that “sources” say that Teresa will get a spin-off too. The only way that I’ll watch that is seriously if that you-know-what is in jail. So what if she can pay the money back now? That doesn’t mean that what they did wasn’t illegal or wrong.
If the assets that they “forgot” to include were not worth anything, than maybe those assets should be forfeited?
In the bankruptcy documents, there is a receipt from a furniture store, that has a hand-written note on it that the check to pay for the custom-furniture was from Teresa’s, “fabulicious” account. That account had (how many?), thousands in it-but they “forgot” to include it??
If Bravo signs this woman on for more of her shenanigans, I hate to say it, but I’m done with Bravo. Getting-away with what they did is one thing, but for us to have to see her flaunt it is another.

    • WSL—I don’t know if you saw my thank-you for the mushroom lasagna, I finally had a chance to make it, (sans yellow tomatoes), and it was delish!
I have to brag a little tonight because I made an exact duplicate of a sauce that I’ve been trying to re-create for years.
It was a take-off on something called “Grand Mainer” sauce, but Grand Mainer has oranges in it, so I just couldn’t do it. Then I decided brandy-which I didn’t have, so I substituted sherry & brown-sugar, (ok & ketchup since I didn’t have any tomato paste either), and I nailed it.
Many years ago a chef was trying to impress me with this sauce, but I’m sure that he improvised also, (I saw the kitchen when he was done).

I have to admit I watched Atlanta and I was entertained. I agree that Kim and Nene are starting off the season having decided to be united because of the new blood on the show. I have never liked Nene, even from season 1, and have a hard time feeling any kind of pity for her with regards to her new troubles with marriage, money, kids, etcetera. I personally think she is getting what she deserves after all her nastiness in the past.

I still love Kandi, but the first thing I noticed is she is more outspoken with what she thinks, which can be a good thing but also a bad thing. I am specifically referring to her odd looks at Kim’s wig being off-kilter and then bringing it up. Again, every one is different, but I would just pretend it was fine so as to not embarass the other person, especially with cameras. Again, it was KIM, so it was not that big a deal overall.

The other thing was when Kim was attempting to reprimand her daughter while Kandi was there and Kandi called her out on her not following through. I did agree with her in principle, but I personally couldn’t critize a parent on their childrearing techniques to their face. Of course, I might go home and rant a bit to the husband, but I think it is a bit awkward the way she did it. Also I know sometimes it is hard to reprimand children in front of company, and then there are those parents who cause a scene in front of guests and that is just as awkward. Luckily, I have kids that don’t like attention and would never act out in front of others to begin with, so I really haven’t had to go through that.

All in all I will be watching next week. I also can’t wait for Bevery Hills. Is it me or does it seem like the Richards girls seem to be full of the drama?…..at least from the previews shown.

    • American Idiot says:

I am looking foward to Beverly Hills too. I think if will be full of drama. I hear the two sisters do not get along at all.

    • Good point! actually I have to agree if Kim was trying not to embarrass her children in front of other people. I haven’t read any child-raising advice lately, but that rule stuck with me as one that makes sense. I’ve actually seen that as advice-something not to do, “Don’t tear reprimand your children in front of people”. Supposedly it could be psychologically damaging.
And especially if you have cameras there! -But yeah if they are behaving badly or dangerously you can’t just let it go either.

      • Adgirl says:

Kandi seem so over Kim. Must be the Tardy for the Party ego trip Kim went on. After all it was Kandi that spackled that mess of Kims’ to make it a hit.

    • i think kandi and kim have become very close..therefore Kandi isn’t shy about calling Kim out on her parenting and Kim does not take it harshly when she does.

I received a copy of the September issue of Blackbook in the mail and the photos of a model in an article on page 68 caught my eye. There are 7 of them and the model is stunning I thought the face was familiar……could it be Christine Staub? I searched through the article and she’s identified on page 76 as Model: Christine Stuab@IMG. I searched for the photos on their website and I could find some embedded in an article on stylist Tevi Gevinson. If you click on the video on the link page you can see that the model she’s staging is Christine and there are some stills of Christine about halfway through and near the end of the video.

(You were piling on her too for other reasons–in fact you were downright rude for the first time that I remember on here, and you pride yourself on your manners). What I said, rather inelegantly, is that sometimes your posts can be literally unreadable to me. Perhaps it’s just me, as I don’t speak BlackBerry, in the same way I am Twitter-challenged. In which case everyone can just scroll on past this little contretemps. You obviously don’t need a tutor, I only wish that you would take the extra bit of time to type your posts more carefully so they are easier to read.

Diana & LynnFam I have been crying for the past couple of days over these suicides. Many years ago at 17 my brother took a gun & killed himself. We still hurt & still don’t know why. I have cried wondering for the first time if some one or several kids taunted him. He was different. Just a rebel ahead of his time. It was May & he had gotten in the college of his choice. It never occurred to me till the recent taunting that could have been the cause. Well I believe he is with the Lord but it doesn’t stop my tears for him.
So Diana we have this concern in common.
I can’t believe it. A song my bro used to sing to me is on my oldies station. Its like he is reaching out to comfort me
“If u wanna b happy for the rest of ur life ,never make a pretty woman ur wife…
Get an ugly one to marry u & u will b happy for the rest of ur life”
    He would say siS
U may get a husband after all!
This time I have another excuse. I can’t see the tiny box at all when my eyes r full of tears.

So very sad to learn of this WSL, I am sure he is with God. Angel wing taps that spare them from the impulse and give them comfort and the knowledge that it *does* get better. I am very sure he would fervently wish that you were not sad. He’s tapping his wings on you right now with much love.

hugs to you WSL – remember the joy that those who were not here nearly long enough have left us – it helps!

    • WSL-I’m sorry.
I can’t remember if you told us or not, was your brother your twin? For some reason I’m thinking that you said that before?
How did you manage to get through the grieving if you don’t mind me asking?
(don’t answer if you don’t feel like it please)
That just seems like a pretty hard one to deal with, you being young, & suicide has to hit hard.
WsL—-in honor of your brother, I’m going to make a special intention to try & make sure that everyone that I know in my life is not suicidal. I know that doesn’t help your brother & the tragic mistake that he made, but its not something that people usually realize ’till its too late.

But the bedroom was not what it should have been compared to the first 5 years… I decided not to cheat, but to be honest about the fact that I wanted the passion back. Not the business/financial partner, Keeping up with the Jonses dude. I am having fun ladies. Safe, and have never, ever been happier in that way. I think we are worse than men, to be honest.

    nathania says:

I have mixed feelings about it because I feel like women can’t be fully free until they are free sexually as well.

If they want to have one-night stands because THEY want to, then that is their choice.

What I don’t see is much change in the minds of men, and this was demonstrated with that show, where the guys go out and drink and choose a certain kind of girl as a sex toy, while they are looking for a woman who says ‘no’ to settle down with and have kids with. The same madonna/whore myth is in operation, at least among the stupid men, like the ones that are showcased on Jersey shore.

I have never had a satisfying one-night stand, which is why I don’t bother with them. I’m talking male or female, it has never done a thing for me. But that’s me, and if other women are different, then good for them. If young women today know their bodies well enough to be satisfied that way, then I believe that is healthier than holding on to ‘virginity’ until marriage when the male is not also required to do so and when they may not find satisfaction in the marital sex either. They may be sexually incompatible and not find out until it is too late and they have a marriage contract.

I don’t think sexual freedom for women is a bad thing, as long as it is true freedom and society isn’t bringing some forced sexualization to bare on them.

Young women today do have to compete with a ridiculous amount of internet porn and that can add pressure. It’s hard to look at what is going on and know if they feel freer than my generation did or if they are acting out of cultural dictates. Women are sexual by nature, it’s ironic to me that in each generation women model themselves after icons whose sexuality is generally not dictated by an inner voice buy by financial concerns. What seems to be about sex is really about making money for the pros that become famous, it’s all about the benjamins so to speak and not about sex at all. Or in more puritanical years, about finding a breadwinner by appearing chaste. It never seems to be purely about female sexual desire.

Bethenny is on Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader? now and she’s looks fantastic! Wonder how smart she will turn out to be!

  58. Smompy says:

So Shee-Ray is going to be an actress now instead of a fashion designer? Well, at least she’s got the acting talent…that much is clear. The scene in which she played a manly-looking robot who was asking some old white man for a divorce was absolutely riveting. What an emotional roller coaster! I totally felt her pain in that scene, and her face didn’t look constipated to me at all!

I want to like Phaedra because she does have some education and also because she’s evidentlty going to be this year’s Anti-NeNe, but she’s already making it difficult for me. First there was that dopey little speech about being a “southern belle” and therefore more classy than women from other parts of the country, then there was the thing abut her marrying a criminal & publicizing the fact the she made him sign a pre-nup, and worst of all was her attempt(s) to show off at the restaurant by talking about the “Foe Gwah.” I’ll forgive her for that last thing if it turns out there really IS some new kind of French treat called faux gois or something like that, but until I hear otherwise I’m assuming she was actually trying to say fois gras. No, BAD Phaedra!!! If you don’t know how to spell or pronounce a word or term, then don’t throw that word or term around on national television in an effort to sound sophisticated. It always backfires. Phaedra’s ex-con husband is kinda cute though, and I agree with her about parents who give their babies stupid, made-up and/or deliberately misspelled names. Phaedra Junior would be fine for a girl, or do we already know it’s a boy?

Lastly I was praying that Dwight would go ahead and punch NeNe right in her new nose during that confrontation. Not that i care for Dwight, mind you, but I hate it when people like NeNe use their size to physically intimdate other, particularly smaller people. That big buffalo would be laid out on the floor if she ever got in my personal space that way. Damn heifer.

Anyway, I’m glad this show is back. As classless as the Atlnta gals may be, they’re still less trashy than some Jersey girls I know.

Lynn’s following has grown to include an amazing number of intelligent and witty people, that’s for sure! I’ve loved loved loved reading when I’ve had a chance.

I’ve gotta say that based upon some of the content of last night’s premiere, this season of Atlanta won’t be one that my two daughters (11 and 13) will be allowed to drop in on if I can help it. Between Kim’s classic “dick” comment and parenting skills, and Kandi’s celibacy definition, I think I’ll encourage my kids to keep a safe distance, even though they love to take a glance whenever possible. We get thru it the same way anyone who looses a loved one does :one day at a time.
    My bro was 2yrs older.
    I had a night & day change.
    My parents were divorcing.
In my hometown in 68′ there were riots & fire balls had been thrown at houses on my street. Unfortunately guns were out. It was a violent & scary time.
Anyway I had a spiritual awaking & although my parents WERE NOT there for me God was.
I immediately wished I had been Kinder. I am long past blaming myself. But I remember the last time I saw him he screamed “Baby Sister”. I ducked in the girls room cuz I was embarrassed of him. He screamed “I love U baby sister”.
    Move forward. I now believe
“U should not let the sun set on ur anger “.
Now it is very easy for me to say I am sorry & mean it.
I also would NEVER be embarrassed of someone I love. Yep I changed overnight from a spoiled self centered immature girl to a young lady motivated by faith.
That’s the one thing that has not wavered in my life.

If that was to happen alot of people would have to get on that witness stand and all the mistresses for example, would then have to say things Joey got them , places he took them too , things he braged about ect

By the time the courts done digging up into their past and finding girl friends and ex friends of them to take the stand ,it’s just going to be draged on and on .the courts know it the attorney’s know it, the victims ect. it’s one big headache, like I said when I 1st posted here their smarter than they sound and look , at least when it comes to criminal activities . If only they could have used their little clever criminal minds to build up on this economy not help trickle it down but I guess money never sleeps it’s nothing but greed, sad part the victims don’t stand a chance of “true justice” in that Jersey court system, know why? no matter how much money, time and effort is spent on this saga no one can’t get that cash or assests unless that country box it all up and fed ex it back to the usa and that’s not going to happen lol

even if they get “jail time” when they get out guess what? That money is gonna be waiting on them so they’ll still get the last laugh even if “justice” was served .Yah know I finally understand when we said God Bless the good old USA lol

Too funny that I just quickly rewatched The Last Supper eppy from prompting at Real City Housewife’s blog, I have it still in my DVR, the special edition with cast comments later edited in, and here is little Chris Manzo relating how after Teresa shoved the table he tried to get a hold of her to calm her down, and she shoves him just like she shoved Andy Cohen! Exactly the same way. What pissed me off is again she had her “It’s an Italian thing I guess!” excuse. Stop blaming everything on Italy, Teresa, unless that’s where the money is stashed!?

Yes wall street, close sorry. :( I have a questions and please don’t jump down my throat. Why is there only 1 white woman and how do people know the blonde’s wearing a wig? I’m friends with an African American woman and she gets very sensitive when I asked questions about hair or talk about it with her. For instance my other friends thought she wore weaves and wigs she would get defensive when others ask if she does. She’d say things like she never wore one or don’t know much about them but, there was a time we were all having some girl time watching an episode of oprah proving to the world her hair wasn’t a wig

and my friend kept saying oprah’s lying she’s wearing a wig lol my other friends then responded to her by saying how’d you know if she’s wearing one when you yourself said you don’t have any knowledge of them . My other friends was clearly rude to her and she felt very insultive which I told the other girls they were rude and needed to appologize. I’d ask her why she feels offended when I’m asking about hair culture ect

I try getting her to open up but she never does I then approached someone she knew and ask if she herself was wearing a wig and she went balistic on me lol the reason I’m asking about wigs and weave I got into an argument last night about Kim and the others they said the other ladies wear weaves and Kim’s the only wigless and weaveless housewife, now you guys are saying she wears a wigs wth? lol

what I don’t understand is how can others detect weaves and wigs on African American women but not on white women? when I wear weaves I get nothing but compliments of . I like your hair, It’s full and thick what shampoo and conditoner you use lol , when I tell them it’s extension because I needed some body and thickness to it . They either tends to laugh it off , or think am joking but, why is it when there’s an African american woman wearing one they have a different attitude towards them?

    • WindyCityWondering says:

RHOA Kim wears wigs – last season she was going to start a line of wigs. I can not recall her ever without a wig! NeNe and Sharee also wear extentions and wigs from time to time. Not thinking Kandi – her hair looks like it’s all her.
Other franchises have extention wearers as well. But don’t know if they have wigs.
IMO many women are unhappy with their hair – some go to great lengths to have the hair styles they like best. Some are open about their hair (highlights, extentions, etc) and some get real defensive when asked. As we all know a “bad hair day” can ruin the entire day! lol

    • Kansas Girl says:

I can imagine the Atlanta show is pretty confusing when you first start watching. I started in season 2 and was just as confused.
It’s a good question, but no answer why there is just one white woman in this show. That’s the way they set it up. To confuse you more, in season 1, I think Kim kept claiming to be black or sort of black. It was a joke she had with Nene.
Kim talks about wearing wigs a lot, so I assume we never see her real hair. I’m not good at all at recognizing wigs or weaves, but some of Kim’s wigs are shiny and seem to be cheap plastic. Last season she even talked about throwing her wigs out after one wearing, so she didn’t put much into them.
What an odd group they are. I don’t know people who behave this way, but it’s very entertaining to watch. My friends laugh at me.

    • kmuellfa says:

The comedian Chris Rock made a documentary a few years ago about hair-specifically the hair industry in the AA community. Very informative.

I am white, and have baby-fine blond hair that won’t hold a curl to save its life. Air-dried it looks flat ironed. A few years ago I decided that i was going to stop fighting with my hair, and just buy the hair I always wanted.

So, I have a few hairpieces, and I love them. It was a little of trial and error figuring out what works. My main pieces are a high quality synthetic and human hair.

Kim’s are awful. The too shiny ones are cheap synthetics, and the way she wears them….UGH. It’s like she parts her hair and brushes the sides forward.

      It looks weird IMO.

    • truelifediva says:

I am a hairdresser and the best way to describe what you are asking is like Gaydar. Some people have it, some don’t. I can spot fake hair 99.99% of the time. The history of black women and hair is closely tied with skin color/image in America. You have never suffered the backlash of the stereotypes so you don’t get it. That’s okay.
Some people think they have “hair-dar” ( like gaydar, get it?) and wrongly call others out for wearing fake tresses while unknowingly praising the actual fakes. During season 1 of Atlanta, Bethenny guest blogged for Bravo. Two or three episodes into the season she had to apologize for making fun of the Atlanta ladies “Weaves”. It seems she did not know “weaves” and “extensions” are the same animal. She thought weaves were something cheap and okay to mock since only black women wore them. She thought extensions were expensive add-ons worn by the rich. Several viewers schooled her on the types of hair additions worn by ALL races and she shut her trap about it after that.
Funny side note: I have bra strap length baby fine hair. Sometimes in the Summer I like to switch things up and get a shoulder length curly weave for fullness and a change of texture. It’s funny how everyone believes the shorter curly hair is mine and when I go back to my real hair I get questioned about whether or not the longer, finer hair is “mine”.

She has alluded to some kind of illness that left her with messed up natural hair, but I think she just likes the big hair look. What makes me crazy is that she goes for such obvious fakes when she could afford some very nice ones. I think she likes the fake look: fake boobs, hair, nails, eyelashes, you get the picture.

    • kmuellfa says:

She’s a moron. Cancer doesn’t cause hair loss. Cancer treatment(chemo) can cause hair loss.

    • floridagirl88 says:

She had “cancer not cancer.” When she got called out on her claim at the S1 reunion, she quickly “clarified” that it was not cancer. When the other ladies jumped all over her for that fake allegation, she had to backtrack.

      • Rabble Rouser says:

It was so ridiculous-as if a doctor would say “I am 80% sure you have cancer”;they might say certain symptoms present like cancer but it’s not a gamble where they present the odds. Someone has cancer or they don’t…..

First, JustMary, I am sorry to hear you didn’t get the bill of health you wanted. 4 more and you will kick the crap out of it!

Second, WSL, OneMoreinBoston, Adgirl and any others, I am so sorry to hear you have had to deal with suicides on such a personal level. I was always taught that suicide was the most selfish act a person can do. My mom attempted it when I was 13 and luckily didn’t succeed. In her case it was mental illness, but still hard to understand and not think it was your own fault at 13.

Unfortunately it seems that there are several cancer survivors on this blog, and God Bless everyone of you. I am hoping you wise strong women can give me some information, as honestly I am clueless on the subject (and very grateful to be so). As I posted the other day my sister in law was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer at the age of 37. She had her first chemo treatment last Wed and it was a triple dose. She handled it really well and besides some fatigue and bone ache (she got a bone marrow shot) she really felt fine. My question; does this mean that she will handle the subsequent treatments the same way? Does it get worse as the treatments go on (she is going weekly for 12 weeks). I don’t really understand how the negative reactions to chemo work (immediate or progressive), I just know some tolerate it well and some don’t. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

    • tuzentswurth says:

Buffywood, It depends on what particular chemo drugs your sil is getting. Side effects vary greatly by the drugs used. It can be several days to a week or so later when the drug reaches it peak effect and side effects (SE) manifest. There are excellent newer anti-nausea meds and a plethora of pre-meds are given b4 the chemo to lessen SE. A simple, quick tutorial here: Cancer cells are rapidly dividing cells, hence the drugs are made to target rapidly dividing cells. The other normally rapidly dividing drugs in our bodies are found mainly in our GI (digestive) tract, our hair follicles, and our bone marrow. This is why most SE of chemotherapy are loss of hair, GI problems (vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite) and bone marrow depression (resulting in anemia or decreased white blood cell production. SE can be devastating and are heart-breaking to deal with, but if you are having those symptoms, it means the cancer cells are being destroyed too and the chemo is working. You just have to deal with what comes and when she is at her weakest, rally everyone you can to take turns going to her home and help with cleaning, running the household, etc, so she can rest. On days of greatest loss of appetite, someone should be there to offer her just 2 tablespoons of bland nutritious food every hour or two. Really, you can’t put a plate of food in front of her, it will overwhelm her, but take a small bowl with 2-4 bites of cream of wheat or pudding and encourage a little bit frequently. Keep up fluid intake too. I hope this helps you, let me know if I can offer any more help.

      • justanothermary says:

I don’t want to be a Debbi Downer here, but on a personal level, I handled my first chemo treatment really well. I thought it was going to be a breeze, no such luck. Out of nowhere about 3 days later I was very sick (vomitting, headache, hurt everywhere). Subsequent treatments were milder but bad. I now know that when I have my treatments I’m pretty good that day and the next, then it hits. When I’m in my very sick stages even the smell of food would set me off. Make sure the SIL gets at least water into her. I had no one around and wound up in the hopsital very dehydrated. She needs someone around to keep up the house and give her food when she can eat. No one should have to be alone through something like this.

I have lost most of my hair and my breasts. I was quite disappointed in myself for being upset over the loss of my hair, it seemed like such a minor thing and I never thought of myself as vain before. Whatever the SIL’s issues are, they are valid. Just be supportive and be present.

        • tuzentswurth says:

Mary, I cared for my mother thru this and I am a nurse. I wish I lived close to you, I would come and stay with you. No one should be alone thru this, NO ONE. You need someone around to feed you and watch that you don’t pass out! You must reach out to friends and family, when they ask how you are or if they can do anything, you must tell them. Tell them exactly what you need, many people are so scared that they don’t know what to do so they stay away. Tell someone: on day 2 or 3, I need someone to just come and sit with me, get me water, help me up. Time to speak up and be selfish, now.

I’ve been thinking about the, “it gets better”, campaign to prevent suicide. And I know that its true, but I’m just wondering how that sounds to a severely depressed person?
I liked what someone posted here, “Don’t let a temporary problem turn into a permanent mistake.”-but personally, although I have survived what I think could have been called depression, thankfully, suicide would never occur to me.

Does anyone else have the impression that Teresa is going to beat this rap?

That lawsuit was filed just about one year ago and so far there has been little movement. I know that a good lawyer can stall the courts forever but it would seem that their creditors deserve more than to watch her make public appearances in front of adoring crowds and read blogsites with comments praising and blessing her at the same time.

The fact that they are coming back for another season just frosts my cupcakes since it merely validates her “celebrity” when we all know she is a lying thief.

    • Olivia my cupcakes are frosted as well! But is it a fact for sure? We know that the book deal is, (although with another publisher???), but Bravo hasn’t said anything for sure yet. In my opinion, now is the time to let Bravo know how we really feel about watching her throw what she’s getting away-with in our faces.

      • Olivia says:

From what we have read on other sites, her sister in law and perhaps a cousin is going to be on the series.

Since I have zero interest in either the Atlanta or BH franchises I can only speculate on NJ and NY.

Perez Hilton noted that Ramona “struck” a producer and that she was acting out of her “storyline”. Interesting. Now what “storyline” could that be since this is “reality”?

Someone must have hid her bottle of Pinot.

        • Zipit Zarin says:

So if it’s in the story line (cough) will it be on film? If not, how is that part of the story line? If it is, won’t that show that it’s *acting*?

You don’t want to get me started on that “piece of fiction” at this late hour do you?

Ruh-roh, looks like Ramona might have come down with a bad case of Kellyitis:

“Ramona has been acting out physically and emotionally,” a second source reveals. “Her acting out wasn’t a story line for the show. It’s crazy; everyone involved in the show has been talking about it. What seems to be going on with her lately is unclear, but she’s been very erratic.”

          • Zipit Zarin says:

“It got very out of hand. What a way to start off the season, huh!” tells an insider to Life & Style Weekly. The incident happened during the filming of the fourth season, and apparently, it wasn’t part of the script.”

SCRIPT Heh, Olivia :D You so nailed it.

            • I never liked Ramona very much. I guess that’s why I chose my sn?
I really don’t like a lot of these people.

              • OK. I don’t think that Ramona could “act” her way out of a paper-bag as they say.
                But-she does think that she’s pulled-the-wool over a lot of people’s eyes.
Meaning, that I have seen her attempts at “acting”-but she hasn’t fooled anyone.
                Renewal? The black negligee?
And for some reason I’m stuck-on the word, “aspirational” tonight-but in my opinion, Ramona is strictly middle-class, at her best, aspiring to be “classy”, and just as much a fake as some of the others.
(although I do like her apartment).

              • cdnfillie58 says:

ok…if she allegedly “slapped” a producer there should be an assault charge right???? or maybe if the producer is anything like me, Ramona ended up on her ass nursing a fat lip :P

Long time lurker here, first post. Just wondering why the continued “ghetto” reference/comments regarding the ATL series? Ghetto for one was originally equated with an area were Jews were required to live ( described during Hitler’s regin of terror). Ghetto is now defined as an area where as the inhabitants are considered belowof of inferior social economic status. Ghetto is not and should not be considered a term to describe one’s “behavior”. Loud, unclassy, rude etc… are all behavioral traits of these women… ghetto… not so much

    • Adgirl says:

They actually use that phrase on the show. Kandi says NeNe is the most ghetto of them all. It refers to their confrontational behavior rather than economic situation.

      • MissLisa says:

I’ve seen it used on the show as by the ladies. I think it is unfortunate that AA women choose to describe themselves or equate the term with there “performance” or behavior. It’s a term as an AA women I find demeaning, whether it’s coming from and AA or any other ethnic group… I find it derogatory… maybe the ATL ladies need to educate themselves better instead of playing up to the stereotypes… IMHO..

      • realminkey says:

Oh please, no PC on the ATL. PC belongs in DC and NYC, for sure. (OC is another planet, altogether. ) ATL is just plain whack, and normal rules don’t apply because they make their own.

        • MissLisa says:

Call them Liars, Batshit Crazy, idiots, BB’s whatever LOL , I just personally hate that term… regarding ANYONE of any ethnic group… but to each his own.. I’ll just scroll past.

    • Zipit Zarin says:

It used to be a noun. Now it’s also a verb and an adjective. “I’ll go ghetto on your ass” <–verb. "She's so ghetto" <–adjective Language evolves. shrug

  90. Here’s my opinion on Joe & Teresa, its not right, but, personally, I don’t want to see those children turned into orphans basically, if their parents go to prison.
-So, truthfully, I would be sad for their whole family IF that happened.
(meanwhile being somewhat pissed because I’d like be happy to get-away with even ten-grand in unpaid debt vs more than 11 million),
That being said, there is nothing that these people could do on television, EXCEPT, be incarcerated for a very long time, that I would find as an acceptable excuse to put them on television again. (no ankle-bracelet either, real jail).
Personally, I think that they should go-away. Take the kids to Italy & live happily ever after, or just disappear out of the limelight.
But to continue to venerate them and treat them like they deserve to be celebrated is just too much for me.

    • Adgirl says:

Bernie Madoff’s wife didn’t go to jail so I doubt Teresa will.

      • Good point, but Madoff’s wife is in a whole different social stratosphere in my opinion. I would have to imagine that she’s in what people in South Jersey refer-to a her own “private hell”.
Even-though if any of us had eleven mil to throw-around, we could probably party like the Madoffs if we wanted to. I guess that Teresa aspired to fame-whoring and being “fabulous”.

        • Waxdiva says:

Bernie Madoff has always said that Ruth was not involved with the business and doesn’t know anything. I find that very hard to believe, but she probably doesn’t have her signature on many business papers to implicate her. However, Teresa’s signature is on every piece of paper going back to 2001. She knew everything that was going on in re to finances and probaby initiated the scam.

Comparing Ruth to Teresa = Robb Report to Reader’s Digest/Bentley to Kia

    • Olivia says:

I agree. Take away the glamour and spotlight and that may at least serve our purposes as well. Treating these people like “stars” when they have ripped off others to the tune of 11 million dollars is wrong.

Strip them of the forum they most desire and that punishment will somewhat fit the crime. So far we have been witnessing the opposite of “crime does not pay”. These people seem to be benefiting instead.

  91. You know, Adgirl brought up a good point. I really don’t know what Maddoff’s wife is up to. I think I read in Vanity Fair that she’s been ostracized, but for all I know she could still be living the high life-the point is, I don’t see her out in the public-eye being “fabulous”.
I don’t believe in shaming people, like what was done to Danielle, (and I’m really starting to think that her being single may have had something to do with that but that’s a different topic), but the Giudices should be keeping a low profile in my opinion, not making a mockery out of what they did.

    • Olivia says:

There is no such thing as “shame” left in this world.

Her husband ripped off charities so that she could also live the high life with 5 homes spread all over the world and two yachts, one bigger than the other. How much “stuff” does a person need?

Whether she knew about any of this is not the question. They should have given back every last dime they stole and does not include her still living in luxury as she most certainly is. There are people who lost their retirement savings who have nothing at this point but she is still living quite well even if it means a little “downsizing” in her world of millions.

      • Zipit Zarin says:

Steven Wright said “You can’t have everything. Where would you put it?” When I heard that I went off in my mind and I saw creation spread out all around me with “everything” in it and realized I have it all…just not right next to me, or in my garage, or on my body etc. I lost my tendency to covet what other people have and the need to own a bunch of stuff to give me validation. I can appreciate beautiful things without having to own it. When I see a gorgeous car driving down the road now I think “Thank you for making the payments and washing it and filling it with gas so when you drive by I can enjoy it”. Same goes for people wearing fantabulous clothes. “Thanx for keeping that fur in cold storage so when you wear it I can get a high from the sheer beauty of it.” I know….I’m very weird. :P

Off to watch and snark on the Duggars.

  93. Martha Stewart & Leona Helmsley both did time in prison. Wasn’t Martha’s crime insider-trading? Leona’s was IRS, BOTH financial fraud, and from what I remember, both women, (who I have a lot more respect-for than Teresa), committed far-less crime dollar-wise.
The Giudice’s bill was actually raised some, but even eleven million is just an enormous sum for two people to blow.

    • Zipit Zarin says:

I thought Martha did time merely because she was so despised. I mean, I know she messed up but it didn’t seem all that egregious to me. Leona was despised too but she messed with the IRS. Teresa has too. I think her day is coming.

    • Need a Hobby says:

Actually, Martha didn’t go to jail for insider trading, but for lying to the Feds.

Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.
The most important thing to know is that medicine works. If it isn’t working ur Dr. Can change it till it starts working. When u r depressed words don’t always help;that’s when one must talk to a Dr. Today ur internist is very knowledgeable about treatments for depression.
    I hope that helps.

    • Zipit Zarin says:

My brother in law shared a video today of Tim Gunn speaking about suicide to teens on his Facebook. I looked for it on youtube but it’s not there. Anyone else see it?

      • lillybee says:

I did, google Tim Gunn Vblog season 10 episode 8.

        • Zipit Zarin says:

          K thanx

        • The Tim Gunn video is actually posted here on this blog-that’s where I noticed this new slogan, “it gets better”. Because that’s exactly what Andy said in his video, and I guess celebs are taking this up.
Thank-you WSL–“Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem”.
That’s exactly what I think a suicidal person needs to think about, and seeking treatment of course. That depression does run its course, and there is help available.
When I went through my depression, I couldn’t see the end of it until it was over. For some reason I remember it like weather. Rainy weather-weird?
“It gets better” just feels depressing to me, maybe if they said, “it gets better, and when it does we want you to be here.”-but I’m assuming that the slogan was thoroughly researched, even though I prefer, “Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.”

          • Zipit Zarin says:

“For some reason I remember it like weather. Rainy weather-weird?”

It was the same for me. When I took anti-depressants it was like the sun came out again after a loooooong time of rainy days. The doctor told me it would take a couple of weeks for me to notice a change but it only took a few days.

            • I took anti-Ds but they didn’t work. It took a long time for me to see the sun & it was gradual, but once I got past it and knew that there was an other side I was ok.
I made a promise to myself that if I ever felt depressed for more than two-weeks I would get myself on any & every med they had to offer but thankfully it never got me like that again.

          • OH—and even though I said that the only circumstance that I could ever see myself considering suicide would be intractable pain, I do not mean emotional pain.
As WSL said, there are good meds & treatments, (excercise, time, therapy…), and even-though I do believe that there are people who get more than their fair-share of depression, and some who are still looking for a good treatment, I do not think that emotional pain, or depression is a good reason to commit suicide.-Because most people know that it does “get better”. I know that it does get better & if I had considered suicide, I could have missed the good parts.

    …………
Couple Alert Jonathan Cheban and Ashley Holmes of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

Celebrity publicist Jonathan Cheban hit the town Monday night with his Executive Producer and pal Kim Kardashian but not before he was spotted getting cozy with teenager Ashley Holmes of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned Cheban and the 19-year-old daughter of The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jacqueline Laurita were seen locking lips at the star-studded opening of La Scala Boutique in Harlem.

“They were in the corner making out,” said our source of the unlikely couple. “They were all over each other.”
Cheban began his night out with Holmes at La Scala and the couple were photographed in a stretch limo and walking the streets of Manhattan together. The Spin Crowd star then headed to Nobu to meet up Kim Kardashian.
“He left La Scala separately from Holmes to avoid the press,” said our source. “And then the pair met back up again at Nobu Restaurant with Kim Kardashian.”

It was less than a month ago that RadarOnline.com exclusively reported that Holmes split from her boyfriend Derek Vance and then made the announcement on Twitter that they were “on a break.”
And what would her mother Jacqueline think of her new man?
Well, her recent Tweet to Cheban says it all…
Jonathan Cheban @JacLaurita hello?? y r u not responding to me?

Wall st. Lady, I left a few comments for you upthread.

    • When I was in Real-Estate school, “co-mingling”, was the biggest “sin” that our instructor could talk about. Besides the fair-housing laws another biggee. From what I recall of Mrs. Helmsley, God rest her soul, she was convicted for using funds, materials, & labor, from her business on her private home?
She coined the phrase that only the ,”little people” pay taxes. I always liked her because her ad ran in the magazine section of the Sunday NYT for years.
She was like my “little” friend ever Sunday morning.

      • -OH, and I loved her love for her husband Harry. I believe that she served her time when he was dying, it just seemed so cruel no matter how mean she was to her employees, nobody forced them to work for her.

and Jeff wouldn’t have been my boss after that. absolutely DESPICABLE for Jeff not to immediately fire the client and urge Trace to press charges. and to expect Jenny to put up with the sexual harrassment and assaults???

no, he sits there like the dumbass he is and lets his oh-so-incompetent exec. asst. handle the creep.

i only hope Jeff gets the bejeesus slapped out of his own face or some pulls on his dinky-donk.

both Trace and Jenny (and all the employees) are nitwits for working for Jeff.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

It was shocking to see how that client behaved before slapping Trace – he clearly wanted to work with Jeff and belittled Trace constantly. IMO Jeff knew this client was a jerk and should not have given the job to Trace. But to sit there and say nothing really pissed me off! He should have dropped the client and Trace should have sued them both.

  116. Wall St Lady says:

Ruth Madoff moved $15 into her name the day b4 Madoff confessed his crime.
Each son had received over $50mil from their “job”.
Ruth was stripped of everything she owned & had to leave her home w/the clothes on her back. She asked to have a fur coat but was denied. She got$1.5 mil, figured as her inheritance from her parents. She stays w/her sister in Fla. She has no home yet.Ruth has to report to the trustee any purchase over $100. The rest of the family has had their assets frozen. The sons r still living in their multi million dollar apartments. They still have their fab summer homes in Nantucket. One son got a divorce & his X changed her & her kids last name. The prosecutors say at least 11 more people will b criminally charged.
The so called feeder funds earned 100s of millions of dollars in fees. 2 have died, one of those possibly murdered. Both of the fore mentioned earned up to 50% on their personal $ while their clients earned 8or9%. Those men knew that was impossible & that something was illegal. All claim to b victims. Many of the feeders earned more than Bernie through the fees they charged.
It is said that Bernie was laundering mob $ & that to protect his family he is not going to sing. Since he is already in jail he has no incentive to sing
    .
Many of the feeders have been sued by the Government & Sec in civil suits. Each of the feeders have had all their individual clients sue them. Many of these have become class action suits.
These suits r painful like water torcher;jail would b better in my opinion.

The feeders r not only being sued but deposed daily by SEC ,Gov. Courts & the trustee daily. Many have their $ frozen.
    It is a living hell.
These things take time & the authorities have to prove fraudulent intent.
Also the agencies compete against each other.

The NASD/Finra which was the agency who had the most over site over Madoff via his broker dealer, spent the last year doing an internal audit. This week the b#*#h in charge (who earned $8mil at FINRA & got demoted to b come head of the SEC )announced that FINRA did NOTHING wrong in its over site of Madoff.
    Go figure.

But there will b more convictions ;as I mentioned 11 in process.
These things take time to make tight cases.

While I am on the topic, the victims & lessons I can share.
Too many had all their $$ in a “sure thing”. There is NO sure thing. No person should have had more than a maximum of 20% w/any one place , EVER ! The first rule of a proper investment plan is DIVERSIFICATION ! Non of the victims would b destitute if they or their advisers had followed the 1st rule of safe investing.
As a result of this ANY advisor that brought $$$ to the feeder funds r being sued by their clients. Many went direct to the feeders & r suing the feeders.
    STAND in Line !

Don’t get me started. The prudent man rule is the most basic requirement for all advisers. Most of the feeders lied to their clients about diversification while having 80 to 100% w/Madoff. That is an easy SEC infraction.
One thing that is brainless & easy to get is the fees earned by feeders. I am surprised the SEC didn’t do that immediately. A firm in Greenwich earned $800 mil in fees off Madoff. I used to look at that firm (we know ALL the players) & wonder what they did that I didn’t do. Then I would say to my self : Get rid of those green eyes ! U have accomplished more than anyone u grew up w/& u need to get on your knees & thank God ,u r just fine. But I still wondered.
Enough of my Madoff guest blog ! :)

The Gorilla’s case can take time to prove fraudulent intent. I hope that because there were so many over sites in their asset reporting that the court will b angry. Gorilla’s lawyer. In his recent filing said they thought these over sites had no value.
The vehicles ? No value ?
    The book contract ?
    Hair $#*t account w/ $180 000 going thru it.
    Some bank account of Joe’s.

I hope we can believe in the American Justice system to deter other fraudulent bankruptcies.
    Let’s Hope !
