I Hate Jill Zarin Top Chef All Stars – Double Elimination Jan 13, 2010

The show opens with Marcel going off on Dale over the last challenge. Using his best tough guy voice and hand gestures, he’s complaining that Dale won last week’s challenge by preparing only the minimum amount of dishes to ensure that the judges tasted his dish, clearly Marcel doesn’t think that Dale deserved to win.

The Chef’s awake to a message from Top Chef that they’re going fishing and it is obviously not for sport, we can see them cooking the catch of the day well before they’re told the complete details of the challenge.

The final 12 contestants are randomly broken into four teams of three chef’s, so they will be fishing as a team with two teams per boat and they will be cooking as a team using the fish that they catch.

Dale is the first to strike, the chef’s are told to fish for three hours and they’re to feed 200 people. With no Quick Fire Challenge today, this is for high stakes, no money but with two people going home its time to fish!

Tiffany F is thrilled, she’s actually excited about going fishing, her teammates, Antonia and Jamie are the first female’s to nab a big one, Antonia screams like a school girl as annoying as Vicki from Orange County. Fabio is first to strike gold for his team with a huge striped bass, Marcel and Richard round out the team and after a slow start are doing really well catching fish.

Fabio claims to be an expert fisherman but with Dale catching the first fish Fabio along with his teammates Richard and Marcel is failing miserably.

Team Four consists of Dale, Carla and Tre who by the way was wearing a white t-shirt looking very hot on that boat, he didn’t need to catch any fish because he looked so great the fish jumped right into the boat and lay at his feet. Carla describes Tre as a creature who buries himself under the sand, you don’t notice him until he laughs? Is she serious? I think Carla needs new glasses.

Carla looked like she was rowing the boat with her fishing rod but she was doing something right because she was catching the fish, Dale caught the biggest fish of the day and joked that it was bigger than Marcel.

All the teams finally catch enough fish to feed their allotted 200 people, Carla is unhappy with her Blue Fish as they can be oily and are typically known as garbage fish but she’s determined to make it work.

After fishing the teams take to the local farmer’s market and each team has $150 and 30-minutes to get everything they need for their amazing fish dish.

Jamie claims that she likes to cook simple, if by simple she means not cooking at all then she’s very successful and Tiffany decides it is important to keep her distance from Jamie. That’s tough to do when you’re teammates. Jamie complains, tired wants to go home, its too hot in the sun. Jamie’s going to be her own demise with her non-stop complaining.

During the chef’s off time, Tre said his wife gave him permission not to miss her while he’s gone but Tre tells us, “I miss my best friend” sigh, what a great guy! Angelo, another hottie, tells us that Mike Isabella is “gassy” which is a bit more information that I needed to hear but calling him a “blow fish” was pretty funny!

Fabio, Richard and Marcel’s strategy is to make only one dish for the whole team that way if the judges don’t like it, if they can’t figure out which one of them is responsible for the poor dish, they can’t send any of them home. I used to like Fabio and Richard but that was a real cop-out. Fabio handles all of the prep work. Richard tells us that that there are 7 elements in this dish that was Marcel’s idea, Richard is on Fabio to do all of the prep work, Richard cooks everything and Marcel puts it all together and does the finishing and plating. Richard was on Fabio all day giving him instructions and wanting him to hurry up with all of his prep work. Even Mike noted that Fabio took a beating from Richard.

Chef Tom shows up as the chefs are preparing their dishes. It never ceases to amaze me the smallest details that Tom notices and he questions why Richard, Fabio and Marcel are making only one dish. Clearly a “take note” moment for the future, Richard says Chef Tom is loading ammunition as Richard back-pedals saying he should have insisted on making two dishes. It is obvious that Marcel is pushy, obnoxious and will walk all over anyone who shows any signs of weakness.

The judges and diners enjoy the dishes prepared by Carla, Dale, Mike, Tiffany, Angelo and Mike but clearly the top three are Carla, Antonia and Dale’s dishes. Chef Tom tells Antonia that she would have won this competition if she had been on a stronger team. Tiffany F and Jamie’s dishes were bad enough to drag Antonia down into the bottom team.

Carla wins the challenge and a trip to the land of blunts and bongs, Amsterdam! Carla had prepared the exact same fish as Tiffany F yet Carla was smart enough to ensure that she is removes the skin and bloodline from her piece of fish while Tiffany who left the skin on the fish was, well …. Sent home.

The winners return to the stew room and Carla is so excited and yelling “I won I won” and Marcel, rather than congratulating her is an ass and tells her he can’t be excited because that means he’s on the bottom. That was pretty selfish of Marcel and it made Carla feel bad.

Team “One dish” Richard, Marcel and Fabio were lucky that their strategy worked, none of the three of them were sent home because the judges really couldn‘t decide which one of them did the worst job on one of the worst dishes of the evening. As Padma noted it’s difficult to tell who did what and who is responsible if the dish goes bad, this is exactly what this team wanted. Very disappointing for fans to watch this team work the challenge this way. All three of them should have been sent home for preparing only one dish.

Finally Jamie prepared a dish with a broth concocted of cucumbers and …wait for it…water! Can you imagine what that might have tasted like? A cucumber punch with no flavor. Jamie was right out the door behind Tiffany F.

And so with tonight’s double elimination, there are ten chef’s left, I expected Tiffany F to last a bit longer but Jamie’s departure was way overdue!

I miss Anthony Bourdain! I feel like we’ve been duped, we were promised that Tony Bourdain was on the judges panel for this All Star season yet it feels like we’ve rarely seen him this season. I do so love his blogs too.

Next week, classic Restaurant Wars will challenge the chefs and Anthony Bourdain is back with his wit and his palate, ready to judge the final 10.

Tomorrow don’t miss The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills followed by Watch What Happens Live with Camille Grammer. The drinking game of the night has to be each time Camille shrugs her shoulders, drink!

Such mixed emotions about last night’s show. I’m really disappointed that out of seve eliminations, five of them have been women. However, Jamie’s departure was incredibly overdue. It made me sad to lose Tiffani because she really did come across so differently this season. She sounds much happier in her own skin and I was happy to see that. Would have much preferred it if one of the guys from the other team had gone home.

Agree with you about Bourdain! His blogs are the best but I’ve missed him at judge’s table. Glad he’s back next week!

    OT, but interesting.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/13/arts/television/13nelson.html?_r=1&hpw

I never thought of the ‘Ozzie & Harriet’ as Reality TV. LOL but I guess I see their point.

  3. TLM says:

I barely watched Top Chef last night, but it was hard to miss the two minutes of almost constant BLEEPS! on the television. I remember Marcel from when he originally appeared on the show and was just quietly annoying; he used to be kinda monotone and quiet, and only made others scream and yell. Last night, he just went OFF. It would have been interesting if I didn’t find the whole so endlessly boring anymore.

Well, the homeless radio voice guy has now entered rehab, proving he’s officially a celebrity. I have had mixed feelings about this story from the start. I’ve known tons of radio people who did all the right things, worked hard and didn’t do drugs, who couldn’t get work. Voiceover work is particularly competetive anymore since companies seem to prefer celebrity voices rather than hiring voice professionals whose names aren’t known to the public, and that has eliminated a lot of jobs for other mere mortals. This guy gets on YouTube and automatically has job offers pouring in from major companies. Are we all just addicted to fame and celebrity in this country? In Susan Boyle fashion, he almost immediately cracked. I do hope things work out for him, but I am bothered by the fact that it seems you have to get on television to get anything done anymore. The quote, “You’re not anyone unless you’re on TV” from the movie To Die For comes to mind.

    • HD says:

Ted Williams used to do voiceovers before he fell into his addiction. That *was* his job before he even got on Youtube. Can you truly imagine him not doing radio or something? The reason for the sign was because that was his job and instead of writing will work for food, he wrote what his former job actually was. He said he used to make about $62,000/year just doing odd and end stuff and he was on the radio doing a show. So he didn’t just “get” discovered on Youtube. That was his job, he got addicted, was homeless, now its his job again only on a much larger scale.

I’m glad he checked into rehab. He needs to stay focused on sobriety and do some jobs to support himself and family but you can’t do much of anything if you are not sober or he will find himself back in the same situation. Ignorance-doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. This time perhaps he will try something different and not lose his voiceover job again.

      • TLM says:

I don’t think you understood my viewpoint. I’m glad he checked into rehab also. I know he was formerly on radio. I am saying that rehab would have been a better “first offer” than Kraft or sports team jobs. But that’s never the way it goes. People love a rags-to-riches story, even if the person crashes and burns as a result.

  4. quincyil says:

Camille Grammer on WWHL… I am going to watch that show. I wonder if she feels slighted by his comments in the club house over the season. I think the housewives would be smart to not comment on each other, but that is a part of the drama on these shows.

    • error404 says:

What comments? Neither Andy nor any housewife has ever said anything but completely false statements that she’s nice, or that they feel bad that Kelsey dumped her so brutally. Not that I’ve heard. I’m lost.

The public OTOH loves to condem her. She always wins every “who’s the biggest idiot/bitch/fool/etc…” poll by a landslide.

      • quincyil says:

Andy makes little aside comments. They are throw aways, but if you listen you can read his mind.

      • quincyil says:

Andy makes aside comments sometimes. He’s not blatant.

When he talks about the more difficult ladies, you can catch them.

      • HD says:

Cracking up that she wins every poll by a landslide. LOL! Why would she even want to go on the show if she feels Bravo made her out to look like a demon? Now that the chickens have come home to roost she wants to go on this show and try to act all sweet and innocent, explain that Nick is not her lover they only french kiss because they are friends, she wasn’t pumping drinks into Allison Dubois, she didn’t mean to act like she had JUST opened up a Playboy that day and say Faye in ii and Kyle REALLY did say those things as well as asked her about her unicorn that she keeps in her stable….

    • Debbie says:

Hey Quincy, I actually cannot wait for this episode and wwhl. I have been down with some weird flu the last few days so I missed the board. I am THRILLED to see you on here. I have a question… I am getting me eyes dialated at 3:00 ( a couple hours from now), anyone know how long it will last and will I be able to see our HWs? This is my first time having it done but the eye doctor who donated her services said because I had a tumor behind my right eye in the past (All due to this damn disease.. F.A.P) she wants to be on the lookout. This is the same disease that caused my colon cancer and other lovely disorders.

      • quincyil says:

I hope you will see the show and come back to discuss it with the board. I often take my mom to her eye appts, but it does take a while for her eyes to recover. Take care.

      • error404 says:

I have irisitis (sp?) and when they dialate my pupils in the office I can always just walk out like normal. I even sometimes take a drop that dialates them too, and I can’t tell the difference at all, but other can see my pupil is larger is they are savy.

  5. AZ Girl says:

I am so glad Jamie and crabby Tiffany are gone. Yea! for Carla. Hootie hoo. She is gaining her speed like when she competed in the regular season. The guys better not underestimate her she is one smart chef.
I am disappointed in the quality of the dishes that seem to be coming from these seasoned chefs. They need to step it up.

Next week is the restaurant wars and that means whoever is in the front of the house is screwed.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

From last night, I got the same kind of vibe going! The restaurant war episode never makes sense to me – they should shine because they are chefs and this is the natural venue to ply their trade!

  6. MickeyMouth says:

    Good blog Lynn.

    Howard Stern’s interview with Camille – http://www.howardstern.com/rundown.hs

    • HD says:

Girl, Camille is just telling it all, huh? What is going on with her? Honestly, I don’t know if I can believe anything that comes out of her mouth because she is crazy and I hate when people insinuate things and leave stuff out there to linger and then they can say, “I never said that.” Kelsy needs to slap this woman with a gag order after these proceedings.

      • error404 says:

        She plays games. End of.

My favorite. “I’ve had sex since my separation, but don’t ask me with whom, when or how many times, as that’s private.”

Note to Camille: not one single person on the face of the planet cares if you’ve had sex or not. No one. Get over yourself, you lying hypocrite piece of garbage.

        • Debbie says:

She’s so pathetic. I cannot find it in myself to have a shread of pity for her. NO ONE CARES Camille. Just go away. That would be awesome.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

She is doing exactly what she is pissed off about regarding RHBH editing! She is so totally passive aggressive and innuendos are her favorite form of communication. She is not misunderstood or a poor communicator – she is a full on bitch!

    • TLM says:

Holy ****balls. “I want to be amicable in front of our kids–for our kids–but he’s fighting it and I don’t know why.” Really? She wants to be amicable after she called him a crossdresser, said he was impotent and that she thought he was gay and would leave her for one of his male backup dancers in La Cage?? What a vicious bitch. Oh, and she also made sure to throw in that he was “boring on the weekends”, that she always wanted to go out and he wanted lay around and watch tv. Sorry if he was tired from working his ass off to pay for your 15 houses, your 4 nannies, private planes and a warehouse full of designer clothes, Camille. But I can see why you’d want to go out on the weekend since you were so well-rested during the week.

      • quincyil says:

Camille could wear you down if you lived with her. I think she is always saying things behind people’s backs including Kelsy. If she did not know about the divorce or affair when getting on the motorcycle with Nick, she did make a joke at her husband’s expense. Maybe, she did that all of the time and he was just tired.

      • error404 says:

Kelsey must be jealous of Camille. That seems to be her answer to everything.

” I don’t know why Kyle hates me. All I did was just call her a liar and a bitch and tried to get her husband fired. She must be jealous of me.”

And let’s not forget the classic “Mom, your battle with cancer is so draining on me! Do you know how many sleepless nights I’ve endured wondering if you passed your defective genes down to me? Do you? Do you know the stress you’ve put me through? Do you? Now sit there and watch me get a manicure and think about what you’ve done and how you can make it up to me.”
I only wonder how many times Kelsey contemplated suicide during the marriage.

        • quincyil says:

“Pernicious” and “Machieveliic” are worse than commenting on Kelsy not being there in Hawaii.

There are degrees here, but a tiny slight (if there was one) gets blown into Mount Vesuvious. There are also the side players who egg Camille on in order to stay in her good graces.

I wish I could be channelling into Kyle’s head during those confrontations. I would tell her to do that smirk that she did while thanking Camille, but to not add fuel to the fire. When you go off in response to someone who taunts you, it only makes you look bad and doesn’t help to resolve issues. I think being with Mauirio and letting him handle Camille is a good move on Kyle’s part too.

I feel badly for Camille and her children. I hate families breaking up. However, Camille could see Kelsey’s record as a husband and she made the choice to take a few good years living in luxury and hope for the best.

          • Night Light says:

I typically try to look for something good in every person. Sometimes, it takes a fall from grace for a person to humble themselves and remind the people around them that they are only human. But his woman has not stepped back to take responsibility and own her mistakes. As far as her marriage falling apart she has to take responsibility for that as well.

            • quincyil says:

I read some online articles about Camille, but you never know about the truth of those articles.

I do like Camille’s willingness to study and read books. It seems that there was a period where she was being tutored and some of her words probably come from this. It reflect her true with to be more. There is nothing wrong with that.

        • error: LOL! Camille and her mother act like total strangers toward each other… mother is probably on Camille’s payroll and has to act like she likes Camille… blech!
Here’s a little background on HStern and Cami:

          http://stoopidhousewives.wordpress.com/2011/01/13/camilles-friend-howard-stern/

      • Debbie says:

I would pay extra money to Bravo to do a real-world show with housewives to include…Kelly, Camille, Jill, Teresa and Phadrea. Anyone else I forgot?

    • MichellefromNY says:

Not even the despicable behavior of her ex-husband can take away my disgust at this woman. Camille will always be camille. It will always be about her. I really hope she gives up custody of those kids because kelsey is way better with them than she is. She barely talks to them.

    • Scorpiosue1102 says:

What I have learned from Camille is that she is very vindictive when she’s been crossed.

I made sure I had a question for Andy/Camille which will never be read, but I wanted him to ask Camille if she had a word of the day calendar :).

  7. HD says:

I fell asleep last night…but I am glad to wake up and find that Jamie has went home. Finally. A broth with cucumber and water? Okay…

I am glad Carla won. She is a good chef and has a great attitude.

Marcel was funny. He didn’t look intimidating at all. He was laughable.

Hoping Carla makes it to the end but for some reason I am seeing a Dale vs Angelo matchup.

    • TLM says:

I haven’t been watching the Top Chef show much at all, just for a couple of seconds at a time. But I will say that I’d love to go out with Fabio Viviani. ;)

      • HD says:

:) I really like Fabio’s personality. His personality wins it for me every time because he’s so darn charming!

  8. MichellefromNY says:

Omg jamie was really pissing me off. She did not act like a competitor. And why the hell would you put water with watery cucumbers? Pure stupidity! She’s supposed to be a top chef! Did anyone else notice how with all her dishes, she kept saying it might be too subtle for the judges? And the other chefs would always comment that her dishes didnt have enough depth.

So excited for andy to put camille on the spot tonight. Let’s just hope he is able to ask those tough questions. should be uber interesting.

    • MichellefromNY says:

and one more thing bout jaimie. I love how she complained that marcel and crew’s move was a total cop out when for the past two episodes, she tottally copped out as well and was like, “i’m lucky, whatever, get over it”. She’s so full of crap.

  9. Adgirl says:

Marcel was totally drunk when he went off on Dale. Did you see the blurred out bottle of blue Bombay gin he was swigging out of?? He is so immature. But then Dale was sneaky last week and didn’t help out anyone causing the diningroom to be under served food. Casey ended up going home.
Marcel and Dale are a little too much alike. Insufferable hotheads.

    • MichellefromNY says:

Marcel and Dale are so annoying. they deserve each other. The chefs are really disappointing honestly. All the good, honest, and hardworking chefs are being sent home while you have manipulators like marcel and jaimie who take the cop out route and stay on like leeches.

    • MSU Chicago says:

I was hoping that Marcel was going to go home. He is such an annoying person in real time aka real TV time, that I could not imagine being around him when he was drunk. I wasn’t surprised that Dale was so calm when Marcel was slurring words at him. Dale had won, he had nothing more to prove. He stayed calm to piss off Marcel more than he already was. That wasn’t Dale “growing up” as he claimed. I am not disagreeing with it, because I may have done the same thing. Dale is still an angry man.

It was about time that Jamie was going to be eliminated. I think that the last few episodes, I have been waiting for her to be kicked off, that now that it has happened, it was anti-climatic.

I always like watching Restaurant Wars. It is usually the Front of House or Executive Chef that usually gets kicked off. I did like the preview where Fabio yelled at Dale. Dale is a douche.

  10. To the ladies that want to leave the blog…
Please don’t. We all have to agree to disagree at times. TRUST ME I KNOW HOW IT FEELS TO BE CRITICIZED but by you leaving alot of times means the other person won. Besides where else will you hear jokes like these?

    ‘Girls Night Out’
One night my girls invited me out. I promised my husband I’d be home by midnight. Hours passed & margaritas went down way too easy. Around 3 AM (a bit loaded) I headed home. Just as I got in the cuckoo clock chimed 3 times. Afraid my hubby would wake I quickly cuckooed 9 more times. I was really proud of myself for coming up with such a quick witted solution. The next morning he asked what time I got in. I said “MIDNIGHT!” He seemed fine so I thought I’d gotten away with it. Then he said “We need a new cuckoo clock.” When I asked why he said “Well, last night our clock cuckooed 3 times, said ‘oh shit’, cuckooed 4 times, cleared its throat, cuckooed 3 times again, giggled, cuckooed twice more, then tripped over the coffee table & farted.”
Send this to everyone who could use a good laugh!

      • tootsie says:

What? Who is leaving? No, no, no. Who wants a blog where everyone agrees with each other? Talk about boring. The spice is what keeps me coming back to lurk in the background and lmao. This is like family, and every family is a little crazy, it’s God’s plan.

        • Cusi77 says:

          OneMoreInBoston and True Life Diva,

Take a break if you need guys. Have a rest and come back! Like in every normal-dysfunctional family there are misunderstandings.

I am here in Las Vegas making arrangements for the bachelorettes party. I am designing two very avant-gard pieces of jewelry for you to wear in “The big day”….. Come on girls… I miss you!

Sad part is this RELIABLE COMPANY is suffering b/c notice the website names are very similar Why aren’t these ppl in jail?
I can’t believe they are scheduling these tours when the drivers aren’t liable, they don’t call ppl back, they don’t poay the wineries in advance. OMG I’m so mad.
Lynn, Waxdiva Plz do a blog about this.

    http://www.virginiawinetrailtours.com/tourpackages.html

    • just imagine your not from VA you hear about this company Virginia WINE trail tours (the last link) A well known company who does good by word. YOu plan a trip pay etc.
Meanwhile you have these slums Salahi’s that open a fraud business that opens Virginia Wine Tours (see similarity in names) ppl call that thinking they are getting the well known these creeps charge them, won’t call them back b/c it’s tareq running everything in the back ground and can’t hire anyone to greedy too. Then he sends messed up limo drivers like a lady who can’t drive for shit, wears high heals stiletto’s which aren’t made for driving a limo & doesn’t put the cap on a diesel tank, almost wrecks. they get to the winery they find out that what they prepaid to wineries the Salahi’s never paid them for them to take the tour they have to double pay oh read the links I’m so mad as i type

      • WindyCityWondering says:

That is so sad! The Salahis are the picture next to fraud in the dictionary.

      • justanothermary says:

Totally confused. The Salami’s are frauds, yes, but the rest is lost on me. Must be my meds.

        • WindyCityWondering says:

The Salahi’s business model is to use a name very similar to another successful business – promise similar services and then stiff the consumer. Remember when Tarqe at the Reunion gave an example of companies that he bankrupted and his new version – don’t pay old bills, just steal new money!

          • quincyil says:

I too noticed the similarity in names and how he explained that once in bankruptcy, you don’t pay the bills. Stacy tried to tell Michele that you pay for your wedding flowers. I had the feeling that Stacy knew the people who got stiffed on the flowers.

            • Cakers says:

The Slimaris need to be put outta their misery and be done with it.
Or better yet, lock them up in a cell with Tre-Lonka and JoeJuicy.
              Sentence Mickey-Kayla and Tre-Ape to a never-ending staring contest.
Sentence Terror-eq and Juicy to a thumb wrestling match to the death.
Tre would go ape-sheet crazy cuz Mickey’s so spacey she would win hands down. :)

              • Cakers says:

                Tee hee hee
Don’t mind me. I just made myself giggle at what I just wrote.

I agree about giggles and the soul. The world needs more giggles. :P

Gonna be some good viewin’ tonight…
                      Goood viewin’..

      • HD says:

        Did this really happen?

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Between Patty and the loser millionaires on the show – are we surprised by this article??? Instead of yelling, setting them up and kicking them out of her office – maybe alittle affirmation, encouragement and enthusiasm would give a higher percentage rate.

The one success this season was the guy from CT who was ininternational heavy equipment sales. Patti called him a committmant phobe, but he and his date did hit it off.

Originally, the show was to help people find true love, but it seems that show has morphed somewhat. If Bravo drops her, her income is going to disappear. If the LA office was really busy, she would have left Dustin behind to manage it instead of taking her “business partner” with her to NYC.

I read recently that Patti had gone to film school and that was interesting in light that she was able to get her business on TV.

There were 158 comments on that article and I read a number, but there was no new information there and I gave up.

Great catch on this article. Thanks.

Lynn – thanks for a great Top Chef blog.
So glad the distracting Jamie is gone. What I am wondering about is this – these are all seasoned TC cheftestants – so where is the elevated game and the innovative, creative dishes? I love Tom and I miss Anthony B – both judges who put it all out there and give some education in the mix.

  14. butterisafruit says:

Hi everyone. I’ve been trying to catch up with all the postings. I DO like your take on T.G Lynn. You have a very good writing style, you’re not mean but you’re not a push over either. I’m not a big NJ viewer. When she was flashing that money in the furniture store (1st season) I decided she was…….as Rosanne and Tom Arnold would say……White Trash with Money. Then she decided her table flipping put her on the front page so now she can attack anyone. She’s not someone I would want in my company. I get a kick out of the recaps and the reviews because I know the players.

Now I have a question and I think it’s for you Quincy. Are you going to be recapping Ghost Hunters? I’ve been trying to catch up with various posts and I’m sure I read something like that. I might be way off base.

I’ve been watching Jason and Grant for years. if you are doing it I know I’d love to read your views. I’m very opinionated with these two. They’re supposed to be debunking and I’m not seeing much of it lately. (I’m never happy lol). I don’t like GH International. I think it’s dumb. Of course thousand year old castle will be haunted jeeze.

I hope everyone is dug out from the storm. It sure is pretty..
    Mary Ellen

    • quincyil says:

No, I only asked Lynn if I could do the recap on one Ghost Hunters because the Atlanta reality stars were on that show. If the Bravo stars are some crossover shows, I would ask her permission for those too.

I thought about doing a sci fi blog of my own and was going to start this month, but Syfy cancelled “Stargate Universe” and broke my heart.

Sorry about Star.Univ. I hate when that happens. That would have been a fun blog. I know a band of knitters that would have loved it.

OT, but on topic of IHJZ. I was bored and looking at the bios for season 4 for RHNY and Jill’s is nothing but a sales pitch AGAIN! http://www.bravotv.com/the-real-housewives-of-new-york-city/bio/jill-zarin

I soon remembered why JZ grates on my last nerve. She always has to embelish everything. I don’t think she is crazy like our dear Kiki and Camzilla, but she is so totally insecure, that she will stop at nothing to make herself feel like she is better than whomever at the time. Jeesh, it is going to be a long season, but I secretly can’t wait. This blog will light up like the 4th of July, becasue you just can’t help but HATE JZ.

    • 2Stupid says:

Ok to be fair, they all are a little pitchy, but at least Ramona’s includes personal as well as business. Good to see Kiki is still as delusional as ever. I am really getting excited about this upcoming season. I think everyone is going to be trying to fill Bethenny’s void and fallling flat, which will be fun to watch.

      • error404 says:

It’s kinda cute that Kiki’s bio is full of old stuff she did years ago before she was even on the show. Well, old stuff that happened years ago that she takes the credit for anyway. There’s a part of me that was hoping to open it up and read something like “Recent hobbies include electro-shock therapy and lithium.” :P

    • quincyil says:

I think it is going to light up also and it is going to affect the nature of the board when you have thousands of new people reading and submitting posts.

  17. Clydethe Tervuren says:

I’m not a regular poster here, in fact I can’t remember the last time I posted, but I always read. When I was reading the recap of RHOA I started to wonder why people were having such strong reactions to Phaedra’s husband, Apollo. I can understand the revulsion to Peter as we have all witnessed his ugly behavior. His insistence that Cynthia be available to bask in the glory of his splendor, his insistence that his business is his no matter how much money Cynthia invests in it and so on and so forth. Apollo, on the other hand, seems to be a pretty decent guy, I find him much more palatable than his wife and most of the other cast. He is a felon, true, but what was his conviction for? Theft? Drugs? I really don’t know but it seems he served his time and is now choosing to abide by the law and be a productive member of society. He seems devoted to and protective of his infant son, seems to love his overbearing self centered wife no matter how much fibulating (that would be my family’s version of lying) she does. For the first time since I’ve been reading Lynn I felt at odds with other posters here. It was an odd moment. Just wondering if I’m the only one who doesn’t have a problem with the felony conviction now that he is making better choices.

    • Golden Girl says:

I don’t dislike Apollo I just can’t stand his wife lol. I believe he was arrested for stealing cars.

      • HD says:

I have been coming to this site forever. I don’t remember anyone ever talking about Apollo. It is Phaedra that drives me crazy.

    • error404 says:

I don’t know. I might have a problem with Apollo if he, you know, actually said a complete sentence with verbs and nouns and all that. Preferably one that contains an idea that people could react to.

I guess my question to you is why you are so defensive of someone who a complete stranger to us all. I don’t mean, he’s not our best friend. I mean, he’s never done or said anything on the show that would indicate than he has in fact a personality.

How do I know he’s paid for his crime? Because Phaedra said he did? Liar says all sorts of crazy shit, most of which is bs. But ok, lets give him the benefit of the doubt, and assume he served full sentence, an proper sentence fitting the crime, and abided by all of his parole terms etc…

Focusing on just what we do know from the show, what exactly do we know about him. He’s good looking, with a pretty face and a nice bod. He’s mild mannered and we’ve yet to see him haul off and smack his wife, which let’s face it, must be the hardest thing to hold back doing!

Yes seems to love his own kid, which sorry, I have to say is setting the bar pretty low. When one’s standard for a good man is one that doesn’t reject or abuse his own issue, you might want to wonder why you’re expectations are so low.

So, what do we have. He loves Phaedra Parks, which to me is a mark against him. He has very unsophisticated taste, curling up his lip at unfamiliar food like he’s a kid. He brought his wife a mother’s day present to a party at someone else’s house, and the baby wasn’t even born yet. Sorry, that’s weird. Half the time he seems to go along with his wives crazy ideas… hello? Pickle picture! And the other half the time he seems to choose silent protest. He was supposedly so mad that his wife chose to ignore doctor’s orders and endanger her and her baby’s health in order to throw some ridiculous baby shower everyone laughed at, that he just failed to show up. How is that a mature solution?

I don’t know. I actually never gave Apollo a second thought before, but now that you brought it up, I feel that the real question is : What exactly does anyone see in Apollo that’s likable? He actually seems to get a bit of a free ride, based on assumptions and benefit of the doubt.

      • California35 says:

It seems to me like he has no saying in anything. They are living her life, not his. I don’t know if he works, does he? Did she help him get out of jail? etc… He might love her, or be greatful, who knows. He might think that SHE is doing him a favor by marrying him, so he has no saying on anything.
I am glad he shows the baby affection, because we all know she doesn’t.

      • Clydethe Tervuren says:

I didn’t think that I was defensive. I found it odd that for the first time I couldn’t understand the perspective of another poster here. My feelings aren’t hurt by other persons opinions about people I don’t know.

I guess the fact that he has been released from prison indicates to me that he has paid for his mistakes. I certainly wouldn’t make a judgement about his wife based on his previous behavior. She has done quite enough all on her own to help me decide if I like her or not. Also he is probably going to be forced to pay for that mistake in a lot of other ways. I’m thinking that it is probably really tough for a felon to get a job in this economy with so many people with clean records are also looking. Stay at home dad might be his thing and taking care of kids all day isn’t always a walk in the park.

As far as my expectations go you needn’t worry yourself. My life isn’t spent seeing how people measure up to my expectations or pass some test that they don’t know about before I am willing to care for them. I don’t make them sign contracts or anything either. I accept that the people in my life will make mistakes and will let me down, as I will make mistakes and let people down too. And I love them anyways. They may not love me and I can’t change that, just accept it. Thanks for the concern though.

        • error404 says:

          ????
Sorry for being unclear, but you seem to have completely misunderstood my post. I have no idea what you are talking about. Oh well, no worries.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Apollo is a refreshing change of pace – he is easy on the eyes, polite to a fault, digs his son and content to stay in his wife’s shadow. No problem with Apollo but his wife is a whole nutha can o worms!

      • Clydethe Tervuren says:

That is exactly what I was thinking about him. His wife is a whole other story.

        • twoile says:

@CtT, Applo reminds me of those individuals who are institutionalized……if I remember correctly previous blogs indicated that he was paroled after serving 6yrs for “car theft”. It is a charge that was more than likely negotiated down from a more significant charge. The sentenence may seem a bit long 4 just car theft…ie mayb previous charges etc. I don’t know the Georgia penal system etc but this would be a probation outcome in MA. Fakedra is his millstone…….god help the child.

    • California35 says:

I don’t think it is that we don’t like him or what he did..I think it is more about the fact that we don’t like Phaedra and her actions. She acts all “up here” that it makes us (or me) think of her husband’s background as one of the things for what she is not “up here”.

  18. WindyCityWondering says:

OT – Bravo has hit a level of success with the housewives franchises to the point where these crazy ladies are “news” items outside of the shows. Does this make the shows better or worse for the viewers? Top Chef had a great idea with this season by bringing back favorite chefs from past seasons. As viewers, are our expectations too high?

    • klmh says:

I don’t think I have expectations about women I don’t know and who’s shows have been manipulated thru set-up story lines, time line changes, etc. It takes a lot for me to even accept some of these conversations the ladies have with each other as truth.
      How about you?

    • error404 says:

I don’t find the HWs in the “news” much. Where they do show up in on gossip web sites, most of which just rehash the same tired old gossip flavored with unsupported innuendo and exaggeration. I think it is our personal responsibility to remember that places like Gawker aren’t news sites, they’re no better than a nosey next door neighbor wanting to dish on their other neighbors, and should be enjoyed with the same combination of relish and disgust.

I guess the main reason why I am not watching this current run of TC, is that I find the “all stars from the past” concept dull and unoriginal. I followed past season that these very same people were on with baited breath, but now that thy’ve come back for round two, I’m suddenly uninterested.

      • quincyil says:

Where does Radar on line get their scoops from? I’ve noticed that after a story appears, many blogs rework the ideas and publish. The story grows, but no one seems to know facts.

I watch TMZ from a recording. They actually have people out there looking for stories, but many times they start conversations and report the answers as if it was news.

  19. Mookies1mom says:

I am so glad that Jamie was finally booted from TC. It was long overdue! I can’t remember who said that they need to watch out for Carla but it is so true. I remember her season and she just kept getting better and better. I do wish that Anthony Bourdain was every episode. I love his blogs and how he holds nothing back, even when he is at the judges table.

I wish the Salahi’s would just pay their bills and never come back. I’m really tired of them. They have a lot of nerve.

Is everybody digging out and staying warm?

    • lillybee says:

Hey, I am another Mookie’s mom. My son uses Mookie as his DJ name and his cat is also named Mookie.

      • Mookies1mom says:

Mookie is my kitty. But that’s great. My husband and I were discussing what to name him when we adopted him. One night we were discussing movies. I was trying to impersonate Rosie Perez, horribly I must say, and well it just evolved from there.

        • klmh says:

My friend had a beautiful black butterfly 3 foot koi by the name of Mookie. What a cool fish with a wonderful personality who ate his dinner out of your hand and followed you around the pond.
What does Rosie Perez have to do with the name? I always loved that name, but didn’t know about its origin.

          • Mookies1mom says:

It was Woody Harleson’s (spelling?) character in “White Men Can’t Jump”.

            • Mookies1mom says:

PS I love Koi. They are really cool. I would love to have a koi pond but the koi are really expensive. Plus, I move a lot and don’t think they would do well.

              • klmh says:

I will give you LOTS of koi! They reproduce like crazy and Im seriously overpopulated for my pond. Little fornicators. They bring in the great blue heron, kingfishers and other herons, but the numbers keep going up even with the predation.
If you decide to build a pond, I’ll be happy to give you some. Problem is, catching them.

                • Mookies1mom says:

If I ever do build a pond I will most certainly take you up on that offer. I just love them. DH and I used to go to a botanical garden that had a huge pond that was full of them. Some were huge too! How do they handle the cold? Or do you just have a giant heater?

                  • klmh says:

They go to the bottom of the pond to hibernate, and we have 2, 5000 gallon pumps that are on 24/7 to aerate the pond. No big deal unless the electricity goes off!

He’s unhappy that the girl rejected him. And he was on national tv while she did that.

Lisa: Ok Cedric, move on, get over it, pay your bills!

    • error404 says:

Cedric is 100% right. How can you expect others to love you when you hate yourself?

And how can you love yourself when you put 100% of your energy into making yourself a victim and an invalid, coming up with excuses on why you can’t live your life, you need someone to hold your hand every step of the way.

Now that they’ve had a falling out, I wonder whose life blood this emotional vampire is sucking out.

      • HD says:

I felt sorry for Cedric with his hardluck story…then I watched him milk it on this episode and I didn’t anymore. A lot of people have hard childhoods, hell I did. It was so bad someone told me you should write about that…so I did. Not promoting a book but I am saying my childhood was so bad that a lot of people found it interesting enough for a book. You have to grow up and live your life. When I watched him manipulate Lisa like that, I no longer felt sorry for him.

  46. error404 says:

The Richards.. all 3 sisters seem to have inherited the stage mom gene.

I gotta say Lisa is right about Taylor: started the whole Camille vs. Kyle NYC feud and won’t cop to it, is totally fake about her emotions and marriage problems, and the whole giggly girly thing with Kyle is weird and Single-White-Female-ish.

Cedric… what a mess. He either makes himself a victim, or he’s using his past as a way of continuing to take advantage.

Adrienne has like 0 respect for Paul. She actually has like 0 respect for most people. Notice how quickly she dismissed Mauricio’s Mom’s advice. Nothing like being a know-it-all if your goal is to never change or learn.

  47. WSL says:

He’s got two legs. (U know, can’t say,no trash can near)

    “Find those French feet &
    Stand on them ” Lisa

  48. WSL says:

Could u imagine Cedric in one of Kim’s wigs ?

Better yet what if candy gave Cedric her Woodie Wood Pecker
    Hair do ?

    LOL LoL LOL !

  49. error404 says:

    WWHL… this is just weird.

  50. Adgirl says:

Apparently Adrienne’s parents bickered alot so she thinks that’s normal?

I think she likes Paul, but as we’ve all seen she doesn’t respect him. Maybe she was raised that the Maloof’s are awesome and everyone else kinda sucks? Maloof Royalty.

It’s not a good thing for her boys to see her treat their father that way.

    Get it together Princess!

  51. NMhousewife says:

    WWHL…

What?! Do my ears deceive me? Did Camille actually use the dreaded word “insecure” to describe her gestures?

  52. WSL says:

Did u notice that Camille said she shrinks her shoulders when she feels insecure !
    Wow !
Kyle had her head cut off for the audacity of calling Camzilla insecure.

  53. Adgirl says:

Lisa vs Taylor. I did not see that coming. Interesting. I totally trust Lisa’s instinct on this. There is something else going on here with Taylor and Lisa is suspicious of her.

Kyle really bugs in that she shrugs off Taylor’s pumping up of Camille – but freaks out on Kim?? Kyle is flattered by Taylor playing cheerleader with her.

    • klmh says:

I agree. It was a shocker between Lisa and Taylor and I trust Lisa’s instincts too. I think she mentioned she knew something about Taylor and her husband’s problems, so my feeling about Taylor could be wrong. Looking forward to the show next week. There might be an explanation about what was really said, and what really went down in NYC, because of the flare up with the sisters. That will be terrible to watch, ugh.
It does seem as I watch this the third time, that Lisa is a bit jealous about K. and T. relationship. And something has happened before the lunch to cause L. some problems. Lisa can be a bit bossy too.

      • HD says:

Lisa shocked me at the lunch with Kyle. I wondered why she was saying these things. Was it jealousy or was it something else? I am typically good at reading people but I can’t understand this. It seems like it came out of the blue from Lisa. So I will read what everyone else is saying about this scene because it lost me…

        • error404 says:

Lisa’s been dropping hints about this ever since NYC, and she even wrote in her post NY blog that we’ll be seeing more of this later in the season.

What I was more surprised by was Kyle’s ready excuse.. like she’s already processed this and forgiven/absolved Taylor.

  54. WSL says:

    I hope hope hope
Someone asks why they used a saragot.
Since they don’t have sex, it makes u wonder.

    • Adgirl says:

Wasn’t Camille like stripper #3 he married? Look how hetreo I am!

I’m glad Camille talked about how crappy it is to be left with the kids while they realize their father abandoned them.

  55. klmh says:

What a subject changer! From your wife asking about your husband-wife relationship to telling a woman what plastic surgery she needs to look better! OMG, now that is nasty. I cannot believe Paul, who I like, was so insensitive and such an ass. If I were Adrienne, I would have crawled underneath the table.

    • Adgirl says:

That was weird, but I don’t know that Paul is mean spirited, or maybe he thinks everyone would love his advice. Maybe they discussed off camera exchanging professional services?

      • klmh says:

Maybe, but I don’t think so. He became uncomfortable with the way the conversation was going so he just changed it. Oh, I am just cringing still… poor lady.

        • NMhousewife says:

It was in poor taste, especially since THEY brought up the topic of their marriage to this lady asking for advise… who was there just to celebrate her granddaughter.

          • error404 says:

and the whole time I kept thinking about Allison “off the clock” DuBois! lol Are all LA people the type to ask for professional advice over dinner?

      • error404 says:

I think Mauricio’s mom handled it really well, probably because she was on to him. He suddenly switched the topic from his troubled marriage to her sagging face to one-up her and feel dominate in the situation. She was like “Un huh, Yup. I got your number buddy.” then switched right to Mrs. Type a and called her out on all of her excuses. She was brilliant.

        • HD says:

She handled it well. In all fairness to Paul, I don’t think he can help it. I think he sees faces all day and thinks about what he do to tweak them to make them look better. He needs to filter that but I don’t think he can help it. In BH, people are probably always talking about that. Sometimes its better to bite your tongue though.

          • klmh says:

You are kind. I think he and his wife had had a deeper more uncomfortable analysis than they expected and this was his way of getting out of an uncomfortable situation. But jeez, what a way to change the subject!
I did love it when M. mother told A how defensive she was when the comment was made about competition. :)

        • klmh says:

Yep. I agree. Quite a lady.

  56. Adgirl says:

Did Camille not show up for WWHL? It was a repeat of Sunday.

    • error404 says:

Huh? Andy is actually asking all of the tough questions for once in his life. A little softballed, but still he’s at least asking. She doesn’t actually seem to have any answers though, How many times can you say “oh, I can’t believe I said that!”. Um… ok.

      • Adgirl says:

I’m on west coast watching the east coast HD feed. Maybe they switched the shows here.

      • Undermywheels says:

She is trying to pretend she isn’t the nasty cow she really is. One slip up…sure. Everything out of her mouth? That’s the real thing.

  57. WSL says:

    Ok
Would u have gone to NY ?

Yes, in hopes of patching things up.

  58. NMhousewife says:

I am semi-impressed with his handling of Camille. you can tell he is not happy with her comments with editing, and in a nice way is calling her out on a lot of things. In fact, that Karma Camilleon “game” as he said isn’t a game, but really is Camille’s finest moments, basically making Camille face the fact that the way she comes across is due to her own words and actions.

    Go Andy!

    • error404 says:

yes, and he’s reveling in throwing up all of her comments in the press in her face! She actually just got shocked that he repeated what she said on Stern about having had sex recently.

  59. WSL says:

    Andy is overdoing Ne Ne.

  60. Scorpiosue1102 says:

Kelsey is a bit of a creep. The first people he congratulated in the sweet was “the British people” which was a head scratcher until I realized his girlfriend is British. That’s just being a creep……not matter how much I don’t like Camille it was just bad.

  61. Adgirl says:

Yeah, the hotel suite was weird.
Did Camille suggest they toast to “love” and “13 years of marriage”? I think he was onto that sh!t with teeth clenched.

I wonder what Mr Sobriety and Mrs Doesn’t Drink had in the flutes.

  62. NMhousewife says:

I had a lot of sympathy for Kelsey at the beginning of the shows because Camille was so horrible right from the start, but it was pretty tacky for him to say its over and then encourage her to be at his side at the Tony’s.

I did find it awkwardly funny how at the end of the episode Camille is putting on a bit of a lovey-dovey show with him, and he is just so uncomfortable. She says something like “Congratulations….I love you” and his first response is to say, “Thank you……(pause)…I love you too.”

And then at the end, the group of friends were toasting to love (tell me that wasn’t a dig), and he is mumbling a bunch of comments about love and family….looking uncomfortable the whole time.

Based on previews for next week, I am very disappointed in Kyle. She definitely is taking sides with Taylor over Kim, and I think Taylor is a bit of a trouble maker. I like Kyle, but she is way too rough with Kim….and I am liking Kim a whole lot better these days.

    • justanothermary says:

I would actually like to see Kim get a good acting gig. She would either flourish and find some confidence or crash and burn, in which case we could snark on her. All kidding aside, I think it would be really good for her to have something other than family to wake up for.

      • i thought it ironic when Camille at dance class with daughter and the teacher who is painfully stretching the kids legs kept saying
“you must smile thru the pain. we know it hurts but keep the smile going, keep smiling in the face of pain.” then they pan to
Camille and she smiled, thru the pain.

        • klmh says:

No kidding. Thats what ballet instructors who are serious expect from their students. Kind of like an athlete playing thru the pain.

  63. Adgirl says:

Cedric is what near 30? Perpetual teenager. I wonder if he truly believed he would lose Lisa if he moved out. And look, he made such a hash of it he did lose her.

    • justanothermary says:

It would have had to take a lot for LVP to disown Cedric. Maybe she found out his “story” is less than totally factual.

  64. boston02127 says:

I don’t like Kyle more & more. I can’t put my finger on it (yet) but there’s something about her ways I don’t like.

    • DarkSonnet says:

      Completely agree, Boston.

    • NMhousewife says:

Mostly I like Kyle, but the more she puts down Kim, the less I like her. I have yet to see Kim do one evil, selfish thing to any of the other ladies. She is overall pretty meek (kim), and a dominant personality sees that here is someone they can feel superior to (Kyle), and then Taylor sees how Kyle treats her and sees it’s okay to belittle Kim herself.

If Lisa had brought up Kim as the person who stirred up Camille in NY rather than Taylor, Kyle would not have hesitated to get angry right away. I think Kyle likes Taylor so much and is more forgiving with her because Taylor sort of hero-worships Kyle and her marriage.

      • error404 says:

ITA.. next week is going to be rough to watch. Lisa has been getting passive-agressive digs in toward Kim all season long, and the horrible things Kyle says to Kim are 100x worse than any of these supposed “wrongs” Kim is always doing.

      • Boston, Kyle rubbed me the wrong way on the first episode.
she was a guest of Adriennes at the kings game. Adrienne owns
the team, owns the team, and Kyle is jumping up and down
cheering for the opposing team in Adriennes face. I don’t know about you, but as a Jets/Giants fan if i come up to the Patriots
stadium as a guest of the owner, I will not be screaming in his face
WOOOOO every time a NY team scores. as a guest and a lady, I keep me mouth shut. maybe even pretend to be ok or happy for other team. as their guest, its the right thing to do.
        I think she is self-absorbed.

        • boston02127 says:

Bev… I noticed that too! I thought that was so rude of her. Even if she wasn’t a guest of the owners, it’s a hugh no no. I think you’re right, she’s all about herself.

  65. boston02127 says:

Kelsey put Camille up in a hotel and didn’t want her at their apartment! If that was my husband I’d be banging on the door of the apartment and saying what the hell is going on. There’s got to be more to this story of Camille just finding out.

Also, he came to the hotel & she tried the dress the dress on for him. She said I love you and he said it back to her. He’s an ass. I’m sure his new girlfriend loved that.
I think Camille is trying very hard to play the poor me card. She HAD to have known .

    Also, what’s with Andy’s glasses?

    • DarkSonnet says:

I think it was over before he left for California. Or at least, strong indications that things were not going well. I remember when he was packing she said “I will get your shirts and help you pack” or something similar and he seemed genuinely shocked when she said it. He had an astonished look and he turned rather abruptly to look in her direction.

I don’t believe a word that comes out of her mouth at this point.

      • boston02127 says:

@DarkSonnet –I’m watching WWHL now and I was just thinking the same thing. I don’t believe anything she says.
        She’s a Jill Zarin.

        • DarkSonnet says:

She and Jill share the personality trait of never being truly sorry for what they said/did, just being “sorry” that they received negative reaction to it.

          Snakes of a feather….

    • Adgirl says:

They were both blowing smoke for the camera. What a couple of fakes.

She’s a pain in the butt. Why did it take him 13 years to figure out how to dump her and after all that time the best he could come up was this???

  66. boston02127 says:

I think Kelsey is just as scummy as Camille. He should be thankful for his big bank account with that big pumpkin head of his.

  67. boston02127 says:

I know more about my neighbor’s marriages on my block than Camille knows about hers.

  68. lillybee says:

If Kim wants to go back to acting, she better work on getting a few more facial expressions. Right now, it seems that she only has one, devastated.

  69. dancekrazy says:

I thoughtI’d had it all figured out with regard to the ladies of RHOBH. Loved, loved, loved Kyle; was cautious of Taylor; thought Adrienne was sort of a “nasty” wife; thought Lisa was fabulous; and, wasn’t certain who was going to be committed first Kim or Camille, to the Kelly Bensimmone Rest Home. But, boy did this week change everything around. I was only correct about two of them, and the jury’s out ’til next week. I find Kyle to be unkind to Lisa (her closest friend) in favor of Taylor which is very interesting. Allison “cocktail”may not have been so far off stating that she was the “ringleader”. Why were they both laughing when Lisa asked about what was said when Taylor and Camille were together? Is it possible the Taylor stirred the pot, and made matters worse?? Lisa looked totally hurt when they were answering her questions in a puerile way. Also of note, Kyle mentioned “NewYork” three times in the presence and earshot of Camille. Don’t know if I trust Kyle any more, nor Taylor–it’s Taylor’s way to get into the entire circle.
Adrienne did meet with Camille to hope that she would “reach out” to Kyle, so she does seem to be the arbiter.
Kim seems to “keep her mouth shut” when it’s her sister who is at risk, and I had to ask myself why? But could it be true, is it possible that Kyle DID day moe than just, “Who’s going to Hawaii with you?” Kim also seems to be developing a personality for the screen. So let’s gt back to Camile–google her! There is lots there, especially in the 90’s. Trust me, she did a good deal more than pose for Playboy THREE YEARS after the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson. Any woman who refuses to bear children via surrogate, and why, to save her figure, I look at with a jaded eye. Seems that those kids have ZERO connection to her: I guess with 4 nannies and house-managers, why bond with mom. She’s got my vote for the committment to the Kally Bensimone Rest Home. I think Kim will be okay.
Next week we have a super-sized episode (finale) of RHOBH, with Taylor and Adrienne to follow on WWHL This finale looks promising, and since the reunion show was taped already, I have to assume that Taylor or Adrienne weren’t castigated.

ABOUT JILL ZARIN: Just in the previws, she again becomes her old self of NORMA DESMOND (wanting her “close up”, Mr. De Mile”), saying in a fake tearful voice, “I DON’T WANT THIS”. Oh, no! Not another season of this—DRAMA QUEEN.

ABOUT RHODC: I honestly hope that the CRASHERS, GRIFTERS, and Heaven knows what else, didn’t spoil it for Mary, Linda, Cat, and Stacey.

    Everyone have a wonderful 2011!

    • error404 says:

“Loved, loved, loved Kyle; was cautious of Taylor; thought Adrienne was sort of a “nasty” wife; thought Lisa was fabulous; and, wasn’t certain who was going to be committed first Kim or Camille, to the Kelly Bensimmone Rest Home.”

I actually think you were spot on from the beginning.

Kyle: I still like Kyle even though I’ve been calling her out as a bitch since the get go. I think she says catty things all the time. That doesn’t make her a villain, as unlike Jill and Camille, she’s not vindictive and doesn’t try to get revenge by losing people their jobs etc… She basically a good person, who likes to snark. I think she and Lisa share this trait. I also think that Kyle’s excusing Taylor because Camille shouldn’t have reacted that way was also excusing herself. I’ve said the same thing for weeks now. Even if Kyle did say that thing to Camille, it’s no excuse for Camille’s reaction to it.

Taylor is a two-faced manipulative bitch. She most resembles Cedric. Yeah, I’m sad you had a crappy childhood, but that’s no excuse for continuing that passive-agressive bullshit into your adult life. Just because you were victimized as a kid doesn’t mean you have to play the victim for dramatic effect the rest of your life. Taylor is so put upon, no body ever gives her what she wants, nothing is ever good enough, and everything is always everyone else’s fault but her own. Poor little sad girl going home form the party early with cake because mean old daddy won’t treat her like a princess. You live in LA, get some therapy already!

Adrienne treats her husband like crap and if she wants to believe this is how all marriages are, that’s her problem. I’m more concerned with why someone so rich looks like a $10 hooker from Sunset. Get a real stylist honey.

Lisa is fabulous. She’s also human and has some qualities that bother me, but who here has a friend that’s perfect in every way and never once gets on your nerves?

Camille is bonkers and also comes off as fragile. Her grip on reality is a very tenuous one IMHO.

Kim is also a bit meek. She’s not KKB cray-cray, but as much as I complain about how awful Kyle is to her, I can also see how on a daily basis, Kim’s kookiness could grate on me. I just think she and Lisa are total opposites, and it’s a shame they don’t try to understand each other better. When you compare Kim to some other washed-up child stars, she does seem like the model of sanity. But I still contend that stage mothering is a form of child abuse and I’m not wishing to be a Richards sister anytime soon.

  70. Kat says:

    Good morning everyone.

  71. error404 says:

Who else here is actually old enough to remember Kim Richards?

I used to be a fan. My sister and I watched “Nanny and the Professor” religiously. It’s too bad it never got a 2nd life via NickatNite or one of those channels. I wonder how it holds up.

I was just rewatching the witch mt series on TCM the other week. So campy! But I loved them way back when.

I don’t remember Kathy at all, and Kyle is one of those kid stars that once you’re reminded of what she was in, your like “oh yeah” because you remember there was a kid being babysat in ‘Halloween’ but you don’t really remember her. She was no Drew Barrymore.

I still think a lot of the underlying tension between the sisters is because Kim was actually a real star, and Kyle was just some kid who was in a few things. Who knows.

  72. THALPAL says:

Marcel was cracking me up with all his “gangsta” talk and movements when he actually looks more like an Amish trying to act tough
