I Hate Jill Zarin Housewives News by LynnNChicago
I’m in shock, I really am, I cannot believe that a grown woman can act this way. Cindy Barshop of The New York housewives continues to tweet about hangergate. On the slim chance that anyone has forgotten, Cindy accused Ramona Singer of stealing some coat hangers from her closet in Morocco. Ramona quite simply denies it saying, “I don’t even know where your room is”. I believe Ramona. Both Sonja and Alex backed up Ramona insisting that none of them took Cindy’s hangers, lets also remember that Bravo’s cameras would have caught the alleged theft since they were all filmed unpacking. 
Cindy went from saying that some hangers were missing to her newest story that her clothes were left all over the floor, so now they didn’t just steal empty hangers, now she’s claiming they took her clothes off the hangers, threw them on the floor and took the hangers. Is she serious? Cindy has been caught lying before, she told Kelly that Sonja was planning on inviting Ramona to their toaster oven cooking party at Sonja’s house then she swore up and down that she didn’t tell Kelly that Ramona was going to be invited. Bravo was sure to show us Cindy’s blatant lie on screen.
Cindy must realize that she’s completely irrelevant on the show and is trying to take this little thing and blow it up into a huge controversy to get more publicity but it is only making her look absolutely ridiculous! I think the important thing to remember here is that Cindy always looks like such a hot mess that I doubt she uses hangers anyway.

Cindy actually tweeted to Eva Longoria and Denise Richards asking them whose side they are on in the hangergate situation. Lucikly Eva was smart enough to ignore Cindy’s tweet, Denise just said, ”beyond crazy”. Denise isn’t stupid enough to choose a side or give Cindy any encouragement.
Congratulations Cindy, you did something stupid enough to warrant an entire entry on the blog. I imagine you feel justified now.

I’m sure that Bravo’s cameras were on hand to catch every special moment of the birth. If I am counting correctly this will be Bravo’s fourth housewife to give birth on camera. Jacqueline was the first in Jersey, then Teresa, Bethenny and now Kim Zolciak.
Congratulations too to Bravo for growing their housewives clan.
Million Dollar Decorators by Quincy IL
Bravo introduces a new show called, “Million Dollar Decorators.” Bravo will follow five high end LA decorators around in their “docu-series.” The decorators are Nathan Turner, Jeffrey Alan Marks, Mary McDonald, Kathryn Ireland and Martin Lawrence Ballard.
We find Mary in her office with giant red doors. When she was 20 years old she has a grand piano and oil paintings taken from her mother’s home in her apartment. She can spend $5 million decorating a home. Her male assistant brings her 4 dogs on one leash into the office and releases them. They run all over causing Mary distress, but she sees they are thirsty and gets them water.
Martin is on his phone. He went to LA to become a star and he became a star interior decorator to the stars. He has many famous clients like Elton John, Cher and Sharon Osbourne. Jim and Laura are his assistants.
Martin thinks he has 2 weeks to create a Hollywood apartment for Sharon Osbourne. He decorated her Malibu home and has done other homes for her so he knows her style, but she has requested modern this time. Sharon is going to be on a new show and she will want to move in when the show begins.
Kathryn has a line of fabrics and rich clients. She loves food, sex and decorating in that order. She is the mother of 3 sons: 21, 18, and 17. The boys have a father who is divorced from their mother and who is a good parent, but no one listens to Kathryn who calls herself a tragic mother.
Mary has a client Kendra who wants to put a grand piano in her house. Mary doesn’t want the piano, but Kendra’s husband does. Mary doesn’t care. Kendra shows Mary a guest house and Mary begins to get ideas about how to decorate it to make it go with the main house. Mary says, “Kendra’s house is my house.”
Martin receives a call from Sharon Osbourne. She needs to move in after 3 days, not 2 weeks. Martin tells her everything is under control, but it is not. The painters have just started. The dark wood floors are not dry. The dining room chairs are not made. The sofas are done and he has to buy art and decorations. It’s a major disaster according to Martin.
Nathan is from California and was” born and raised privileged.” When he was 19, he worked for an antique dealer and found his passion. His mother was not surprised and she noted that she knew he would love shopping on a big scale on someone else’s money.
The heart of Nathan’s business is his high end store. He travels the world looking for items that others will buy and use in their projects.
Jeffrey likes to decorate a room and then add one thing that no one would expect; he has a rowboat with oars on the ceiling of his living room. Jeffrey’s life partner and assistant is Ross Cassidy, a former model and designer from South Africa. They have a female white lab and she takes showers outside.
The designers are friends. The character Karen of “Will and Grace” is based on Mary who is rich and funny.
Martin is dealing with painters and moving furniture into the unfinished Osbourne apartment with a million dollar view. There are only 3 painters working and their employer thought he had one week to finish. Tomorrow 10 painters will be on the job. If they don’t finish, Martin will not hire them again.
In addition to Ross, Jeffrey has two assistants called Demetre and Dimitre @. They all are working on a restaurant with a nautical theme which Ross says is difficult to accomplish without a parrot and an eye patch effect.
Martin welcomes Sharon Osbourne into her new apartment and she loves it. He purchased a photo of the Beetles for $30,000 because he knows that Ozzie loves the Beetles and it goes with the color scheme. He spends $25,000 on a rug because rugs elevate a room. The leather chairs will be distressed and the bedding black on white sheets. He finds a zebra rug and that is perfect too.
Kathryn is throwing her own birthday party and her sons are going to cook. She invited 12 people. She knows there will be a cake brought by her friend and is not worried about the rest of the dinner.
Mary goes to Kendra’s house because Kendra needs to talk. Kendra tells Mary that they will finish the guest house, but she is getting a divorce and has to sell the house. The realtor would like the house to be more neutral, but Mary ignores that request. Mary cares more about the sale of the house than Kendra’s marriage ending.
Kathryn’s French house manager does not know anything about wine except how to drink it and she does not listen to Kathryn. The party will begin at 7 PM, but Kathryn is having a hard time getting ready. Her boys are in the kitchen chopping and dropping chips then putting them back in a bowl. They are to cook expensive steaks, but they did not clean the grill first. One on leaves and Kathryn does not want him to go.
In Nathan’s store, his assistant Tyler helps him find a piece of cloth from Kathryn’s collection. Nathan puts the cloth over his black lab and the dog runs all over with it on.
Christopher, an antique dealer, arrives for Kathryn’s birthday party as she is setting sunflowers on a French country table setting. Everyone is enjoying drinks and guacamole with homemade chips while Kathryn makes a late appearance. Mary tried to give Kathryn a gift. There is a cake with the torso of a woman with the cloth from Kathryn’s line of fabric that was worn by the black lab in Nathan’s store. The guests don’t know the history of the food so they have a wonderful time.
How could you forget Phaedra’s birth scene. It was priceless LOL!

Also, Jacqueline gave birth off-season and we got to see some home footage (I thought) so I didn’t count that one. I’d still count B though as she was a housewife.

People tweeted they loved Million Dollar Decorators. I didn’t find it interesting. I can spend your 5 million and make your house look good too. I’m more interested in the shows that decorate with little money and make big changes. All this over the top living is fakes as the Giudices. I think the house they decorated for Sharon is the one she’s forced to sell for back taxes.

I noticed the Jeff Lewis dark floors and cream walls.
My house if full of gifts from Middle Eastern relatives and I had not choice in the design. Everything came without any input from me. It’s not my favorite colors and I am forced to have off white walls because all Iranian houses have off white walls.
I once had a tiny green bathroom. Every time he caught a glimpse of that green, he would complain. So once he complained and I immediately painted it white. I was about to have a 10 1/2 lb baby boy and I was in a bad mood that day. You should have seen how upset the complainer got. ROTFL

Traveling with Middle Eastern people is always an adventure. They won’t let you call to confirm your reservations when they take you off the beaten path and you might have to drive 200 miles more with crying children to find a inn for the night.

That sounds a lot like travelling with Hubs. He’s one of those fellows who is genetically incapable of asking for directions or anything else. I got so mad at him in Costa Rica I told him if he uttered one word to me for the next 24 hours I was going back to the states and leave him to fend for himself. We were in the Osa at the time. He’s monolingual English only. I’m the multi-lingual one. I guess he knew I meant business, because I didn’t hear a peep out of him, but he somehow managed to deliver coffee and meals to me. I think he would have used a silver platter if he could have found one. Now that several years have passed, we can finally laugh about it. He admitted he knew not to push another button.
If there is a correct diretion and it’s opposite, my guy will take the opposite. We use GPS now.
He drives like a taxi cab driver also.

Bravo has a formula for formula shows.
This show has a huge cast. There are the decorators, then each of them have staff at home and in their businesses. They all interact.
Nathan’s store seems to be at the center, but Mary also has a store with her textile designs.
I don’t know why I thought they all had English accents, but even the guy born and raised in California seems to have an English accent.
Just so you know you’re not the only one, you’re not the only one! I finally decided that it’s not English — that they have a “bored” or “beyond-it-all” accent that now I want to copy in daily life. I just think it would be fun to talk that way.
Just keep Daaahling out of your new vocabulary. Countess Squash Blossom High Horse has taught us all how irritating that word can be! Darlin’ is still currently acceptable to my knowledge.

My favorite line from a french designer was “It’s not possible”. Imagine with an accent. I use it now when I don’t want to do something- it’s a good way to say “no”.
I would like to do a show showing what I could do with thrift store purchases and make a place look like a model home. During the height of the real estate craze in Florida, I was living in an apartment building that was supposed to undergo a condo conversion. I wasn’t interested in buying as the asking price was way too high, even at the time. I was in probably the nicest apartment in the building (location within the building, and view-wise) and it was shown many times. I decorated that entire apartment for less than $2000.00 including all furniture, area rugs, wall hangings, sheets and duvets, a huge aquarium, small kitchen appliances and wall art. All of the potential buyers thought that it was a staged model home. It was a two bedroom two bath apartment. It’s amazing the deals you can find. It was my first land based home after living on a boat for many years. Luckily for the real estate buying public, the building never went condo and 150 (it was a big building) potential buyers didn’t end up with upside down mortgages.

I sometimes Jeff Lewisize my kitchen. I have completely clean white Silestone counter that glisten in the morning sun. I like everything sparkling and empty. Jeff and I should be best friends.
I used to be friends with a woman who bragged she’s a minimalist. I guess that makes me a maximalist. Small house, not much storage, a lot of stuff.
My house has stuff because of my husband. I have a rule for myself. If I have to dust it, I don’t want it.

As long as you have good thrift stores in the area, take your time and it is amazing the wonderful items you can find. I’ve found some really expensive items that I guess they didn’t know what they were and I paid pennies for. Some of my sheets, Ramona would be willing to sleep on! I’ll pay $20.00 for a $600.00 set of sheets!

I just took a survey online…all about Bethenny and Bethenny Ever After. Asking all kinds of questions about the show, them personally, what I like, don’t like about the show, will I watch if they move to LA…do I think Bethenny is too mean, is Jason too passive? Am I glad they fired Max lol…..I believe I signed up for this through bravotv.com, their Contemporary Consumers surveys…I get surveys about once a week about all the different NBC owned/affiliated programming they have….
I’d like to think its a contributing factor to Bethenny et al being so successful LOL

Cindy was trying to make use the hanger issue to make herself relevant. She knows she can easily be dropped that is why she threw those parties and took the brunettes to the spa.
Cindy is OK, but she is not a Bethenny replacement. I never laugh when she makes comments because they aren’t funny.

I feel like the ugly, bad step-child who was sent to bed without my dinner. I mean do these people ever come out here and do book signing tours? We watch the shows and by the books, so what gives? Now I am going to go eat my poorage(sp?) and pout just a little………
Where exactly are you on the West Coast? I guess they are only doing the bigger cities like LA? We get at least 3 big authors a week here on Long Island, and they always go to the same couple of bookstores.

I think Mr. C is making all these shows to competetive. So one has to out do the other. Hence all the back stabbing, and I’ll show her attitudes. And with most of these women trying to “bring home the bacon” nowadays, I can sort of understand why they feel they must out-shine the other person. For example, T & joey is a sibbling thing, but then joey is jealous of the relationship of JJ amd joey’s father, when joey as the son feels he is no longer loved by his parents. This then started the war between he and T. T got the gig on the NJ show, and so it was yet another stab at joey & mels egos. Bethenny got her own show thus started the war for jz. jz felt if anyone should have a show first, it should have been her. But she would have left Bethenny in the dust and never shed a tear about it either. Had she not been so evil, she would have been with Bethenny, simply because Bethenny was a loyal friend. Then Alex got into some modeling gigs and all of a sudden she was the competetion for jz. Ramona has so many things going on too and doesn’t take a back seat to anyone, so therefore she has to be stopped at any costs. She has been made fun of, she has been labled as being rude, cruel and now her reputation is being tarnished as being a drunk. The lists keeps growing and will continue as long as these shows keep appearing, do in part because not everyone wan’ts to hear about hearts and flowers, but mainly people want to see blood and guts. Sorry if that hurt or offended anyone, but it is just plain human nature and we have all been guilty of this!
I don’t think the rivalry between the shows is that bad. I do think Bravo does encourage them to bring the drama if they want to keep their apple/peach/diamond/highway exit or whatever it is that the NJ women hold… but I think the specifics is all down to them, the housewives. Tamra chooses to trash her marriage/husband on tv. Lulu did not. Teressa and Joe choose to air their family’s dirty laundry on tv. Caro and Dina did not. Jill chooses to destroy people she is jealous of, Camille does not. etc…

I think the examples you have given, comes down to the haves and the have nots, IMHO. Those that have could care less, but the ones that don’t have are struggling to get there, by hook or by crook. Kind of like, “I am up here, and you are down there” if you get my drift. As in it’s us against them so to speak. But that is just my take on it. Or as is often said on this board, we agree to disagree…………

I watched Million Dollar Decorators last night as well. Except for the row boat hanging from the ceiling I could have bought all of the items from Homegoods, spent a LOT less money and had beautiful rooms. My husband and I furnished our condo from Homegoods, it came out so beautiful my sister and brother in law asked us to help them with their townhouse.
ITA Those “prints” at 30k could have been reproduced for under $300 with a lovely frame. In my neck of FLA, a print is a poster or pic that can be dressed up with framing. It’s not that serious folks. I was a fan of the HGTV show that copied expensive rooms called Sensible Chic. It can be done.
As for Kathryn Ireland, she doesn’t get out of bed for less than a million, yet refused to hire caterers for her soiree? How cheap and gauche! Imagine the disgust of those designers once they saw the “uncleansey” manner in which the guacamole and chips were made! UGGGHH I screamed in horror when that boy didn’t wash his hands and the other picked food off the floor.
Besides that kitchen nightmare I loved the show as I am a design freak! LOL I will look forward to watching this show.

You also can get a” glecay”,(not sure of correct spelling.)It is an original reproduced on canvas that looks like a real painting. My husband had several exotic and antique car paintings reproduced for our family room, they were pictures featured in a magazine. My p.studio did the on their machine, you just can’t try to sell them- it would be an infringement on the artist who originally painted them.
Hate to but in but it’s infringement anyway. It doesn’t matter if you try to sell it or not. Reproducing art you don’t have the rights to is copyright infringement. If the images were older images though and in the public domain then he’s totally okay reproducing them for private use. As to the kind of print you are talking about – it’s a giclee’ – it’s a type of printing, can be on canvas or paper. Either one. Just my .02

I also think she won’t actually say whether it is a charitable remainder trust or a grantor trust. She’ll just say that it has been set up with New York Community Trust. New York Community Trust does charge fees for administering trusts. I’ll be interested to see what she has to say. Also, charitybuzz is a FOR PROFIT organization.
I told my friend who doesn’t watch this show about this and he said that Jill has quite the ego to tell someone “for the privilege of dining with me I’ll let you pay for dinner and put money in my family’s trust.” He said that if the dinner were going to be on camera it is too bad you can’t win the dinner, write a check, stop payment on it, stand her up at the restaurant, then when she calls presumably on speakerphone you say “have dinner with that bi&@$, I don’t think so” and hang up. we had one in sussex county last year. an F2. it’s very rural up here so luckily it only did damage to a barn. they do occur, but nothing like you see in tornado alley. my heart goes out to all those effected so badly this year.

We’re in the tornado warning area. At one point all the hairs on my arm stood straight up. Very weird feeling. Then it passed. We haven’t really had much rain or anything. Just thunder.
it’s just getting a little windy here. the last “tornado” we had, some trees did fall. but compared to put west, NY tornadoes are like child’s play.
I was really surprised to see the damage in Springfield. We’ve had tornado warnings before, but, yeah, nothing like what tornado alley experiences.

I just checked out the Bravo blogs- and it’s a Teresa love fest. I really don’t get it, she and her husband are criminals yet people are responding to them like they are a hardworking couple who are in danger of loosing their house because they have to pay for their baby’s cancer treatments. I just don’t understand how this could garner sympathy.

People aren’t necessarily morons or forgetful about the horrid things Theresa has done in her life. I haven’t forgotten a thing, for example.
However, IN THIS PARTICULAR SITUATION?
I side with and have compassion for Theresa. Her brother (so far) is little better than an animal, and just as stupid as Theresa, but far more violent, and who knew THAT was possible?
Melissa comes across to me as a total spoiled brat instigator who IS jealous of Theresa’s TV time, wangled a way into Theresa’s show, and is constantly agitating her ox of a brute husband into hating his sister. She is completely UN likeable to me. At least as much as Theresa. Her alignment with Kim is also part of it.
The other thing I think people here ARE missing is that Theresa really does seem to be in real pain from this rift, while Melissa comes off as glorying in it, just relishing it, and provoking it as much as possible.
In no way does that mean I LIKE Theresa. I know it’s unpopular here, but if you read other sites, or even look at the Bravo vote? I am seriously NOT in the minority.
I want to see Theresa pay for the financial scams that she and Joe got into. I do believe it was mostly Joe, and Theresa was too stupid to know. What I don’t enjoy watching is a families pain on TV. I just don’t. I don’t want Theresa to “pay” by having her father and mother and kids have to suffer through family wars played out on TV.
And frankly? That is the ONLY reason they brought that viper Melissa on the show, and she is willing to do anything it takes for fame. So I don’t like her MORE.

I also do have SOME compassion for Teresa. I do think JJ was the primary lawbreaker in their situation. She is doing a lot of book signings and running all over the place(and mostly non resort type places) trying to promote and sell her products. That has to be physically exhausting and I think we are seeing the toll it is taking on her. I give her credit for going from a do nothing but spend woman to a get out there and work woman. She’s not the brightest bulb in the socket and deep down I believe she has finally figured out that the bankruptcy isn’t going to go well for them. They are going to be on the hook for a large portion, if not nearly all of the money they owe. JJ can’t legally drive, who knows what’s up with the Pizza Parlor? The IRS is either after them or will coming knocking on the door again really soon. She really can’t unload JJ until all the bankruptcy mess is completed, her brother is vapid, her sister in law is even more vapid (so far). I don’t envy any aspect of what she is going thru. The fraud he allegedly committed on the driver’s license issue could land him in the slammer. Assuming someone else’s identity is pretty serious stuff these days. I really think he’s going to have to serve some time over all this stuff. I don’t think it’s going to be a two week sentence either. I think we’re talking felony level things they are alleging. I have not seen any of the documents, so this is all just personal opinion. In Florida, if found guilty he’d be up poo creek for sure.

We’re finally seeing T acknowledge her financial and family issues and deal with them. She’s got a long way to go to prove herself, but if she does earn some money and pay off her debts, then that would be a great step forward. I have no issue with her selling her products – whether she wrote the books, created the recipes, etc. They all get help.
I don’t like her more or less than her brother – they both have major anger issues that they should get help for – but I don’t want to see any of them suffer.

I know exactly what you mean. My dearly departed mother made sure that she always had her own credit, bank accounts, automobiles, etc. She and my Wonderful Father were very close, loving, supportive of one another and were married until the day she died, but she made sure that if something had happened to him first, she would be financially aware and secure in her own right. Before she died, she made sure that he was aware of her finances, so he wouldn’t be in the dark either. It is a good lesson to ALL couples.
It was a yours, mine and ours kind of situation. It worked well for them. It is difficult enough to pick up the pieces just from the grief of losing a spouse/life partner without adding financial confusion into the mix.

Ewww- Joe Gorga gives Italians a bad name. The two Italian boys I dated in high school would never talk like this. Many Italian families are very, very conservative. Education was a very high priority, as each generation had to go farther than the last.
My husband just watched the NJ episode where Joe is discussing his need for sex. He is a developer and was amazed at Joe’s obvious lack of education. How can joe go in front of bankers or investors-it just does not make sense?

Here is why I don’t believe the latest Barshop claim that her clothing was thrown on the floor. . . If her clothing was thrown on the floor and she noticed the hangars were missing do we think she would have gone to the blondes or even LuAnn to complain that her hangars were taken or would she have gone and complained about her room being trashed and the clothing thrown on the floor?

I think the maid mistook her clothing for cleaning rags accidentally left behind, and then once she discovered her mistake, tried to put them back where she found them.

Hi guys, Everything is ok here. Thunder & lightening. Big lightening. Western MA got hit bad. There are thousands (52k) without ele, they showed Springfield on the news with debris flying all over. We’re on watch until 11 tonight.
Crazy lightning! We watched it for about an hour. It was like a fireworks display (just no color). It had passed us (couldn’t hear the thunder) but could still see the lightning like it was right on top of us. I’ve never seen anything like it.

On Deathby1000Papercuts there are some pics of Jillz and Jonathon and Jennifer Zarin. The sympathy we all felt was indeed calculated as that girl wears concealing foundation and contacts too! She’s no Angelina, but definitely won’t be stared at oddly when done up as she just looks like an average Jane. I know she still suffers from the condition, but she’s got her moments.

The BBC ran a very interesting series back around 2003 where they gave a half dozen or so “average” people video cameras and asked them to do documentaries of their own lives and then edited them for tv. First week was a teen girl who’s mom was in and out of rehab, another week was a midget/small person who lived on an island and didn’t know anyone like her, so she travels to a small person convention and meets others for the first time, etc… Anyway, one week was a woman with a similar birthmark who always wore concealing make-up, but she went around interviewing people, a friend who was raising a child with birthmarks who never hid them etc…and then one day went to the mall with the friend a child out in public with no make-up for the first time. It was very liberating for her, but not comfortable and she went right back to using concealant. It was very interesting.
anywho, bitch from hell that I am (notice I wasn’t raptured on the 21st!) I was about THE only person in america not all teary eyes over Jen Zarin’s speech. It was so much ado about nothing imo, like most things Jill Zarin. it’s like they threw this who fake party, trucked the poor girl out like a statue of the madonna at an Italian religious festival, and gave 5 minutes of thought to “bullying”, then ate overpriced lunch and bid on stupid stuff they don’t want or need. That would have sent them running. Nobody would have been around by the time the turned on the “ugly” lights. That’s what we used to call it when the bars closed at night. Last call had happened and it was time for everyone to clear out. The bright lights would turn on and suddenly a lot of the “cute” guys weren’t as cute as they had appeared in the dim light.

It continues to amaze me how this woman has the audacity to show her face in public after all the things she has done and said. She constantly makes a fool of herself everytime she opens her mouth, but even that doesn’t stop her. Her lies have been undressed and opened to all those who know her, yet she still carries on as though she is without fault(s). How does one look themselves in the mirror each day and think or believe they are so pure and innocent. the pool for Memorial Day and I said, it’s too early (because of the pollen).

The lightning was amazing. That T-storm was like watching the Pops on the 4th. And it just wouldn’t go away. I never lost power, it flickered but nada. The news is showing some horrif sites in Springfield. I’m very glad you’re well too Flower.
