I Hate Jill Zarin RHONY Final Word – LuAnn June 27, 2010

I Hate Jill Zarin     Real Housewives of NY-Final Word, Luann de Lesseps  June 27, 2010

I think that if anyone “renewed” this season or actually made the biggest change, it has to be Luann.   Luann went from a poor me, my marriage is over, I was dumped by a Count via email, my 16-year marriage is my business and I am the only one who can talk about it, to well…happy!

Luann opened the season already pissed off at Mario for something that he said weeks earlier and pissed off at Bethenny for a comment she made the previous season about Luann not paying her way.  She thought Bethenny talked behind her back, which was true.  Luann said in her blog after the first episode that Mario said “Countless” TO her, when in fact, we find out that he said it to someone else and never meant for Luann to hear it.  Not to debate whether or not Mario was right or wrong, but rather how Luann handled the situation.

Luann made a huge deal about Mario’s comment, another issue that was clearly saved for the camera’s, something that could have been resolved weeks before that.  According to Ramona, she spoke with Luann just a few days before the yacht party, yet Luann never mentioned Mario’s rude comment.  Luann was apparently upset enough to harp on Ramona about it on the yacht and cause unnecessary drama.

Luann claimed she only wanted an apology, she told Ramona to have Mario call her, yet when he did make that call and personally invite Luann to come to his home on Labor Day to discuss it, Luann refused to confront Mario.  We know that Jill’s grubby little fingerprints were all over that one, but Luann should know better!   Luann, didn’t you write a book about etiquette?

Luann’s meeting with Bethenny was surprising to start off the season, at the end of the previous season, it didn’t seem like there was anything for these two to talk about.  Bethenny certainly seemed overly aggressive and angry with Luann and it wasn’t really clear why.  I was a little taken aback with Bethenny’s interview comments like she needed to shower after the “fake hug” and the “drag queen” comment, there was just a little more anger than seemed necessary.  We later find out that the meeting was originally scheduled for the day before and that Bethenny had to drive 90 minutes to make the meeting more convenient for Luann.  So after Luann cancels the original meeting, she makes Bethenny come all the way to Luann’s local restaurant.

I think that now that the season is over, looking back, Bethenny was at the end of her rope with Luann’s passive aggressive comments.  What prompted the “drag queen” comment was Luann’s underhanded comment about Bethenny’s Skinny girl car.  Luann clearly didn’t get it, when Bethenny tried to explain that people walk around with designer names and don’t get paid for it, Luann tried to make Bethenny feel embarrassed about her “branded” car.  That is typical Luann, she gives backhanded compliments and she belittles people with a smile and a giggle.  Luann, didn’t you write a book about etiquette?

Luann’s allegiance to Jill was clear in the first episode, watching the two of them together was like watching two high school girls making prank phone calls over summer vacation.  Luann showed how immature and self-centered she is by her enforcing Jill’s anger toward Bethenny.  Luann didn’t give a shit about Jill, she just wanted to be Jill’s new BFF with the thought that she would be the show’s new sidekick to lead housewife, Jill.

When Jill and Luann had Bethenny on speakerphone, Luann encouraging Jill to lie about who was there in the room was pretty damn childish!   What struck me most about Luann was her behavior after confrontations that Jill and Bethenny had that Luann witnessed.  After the speakerphone incident, rather than allowing her friend, Jill, to talk about her feelings about the call, Luann had to go into her own experience with Bethenny.  Again, after the meeting at Ramona’s, Jill was clearly distraught, her friend Luann adds, “she didn’t even say hello to me!”  As if that was the most important thing that happened in the past few minutes.  Not that it matters, but Bethenny didn’t have an opportunity to say “hello” when the first thing that Luann said to Bethenny was, “did you want to talk to Jill or did you want to talk to me?”  When exactly was Bethenny supposed to say, “hello”?

It is always about Luann.  If Luann was truly a friend to Jill, she would have been trying to help Jill to do what is best for Jill, not what is best for Luann, Luann wouldn’t constantly be infusing herself into the relationship between Jill and Bethenny.  Without Luann being by Jill’s side encouraging and giving her opinion of Bethenny, things may have turned out differently.  Better or worse, Luann did have influence over the relationship that Jill lost.

I don’t think that the “friendship” between Jill and Luann was real at all!  It was a television friendship of convenience.  They were not friends before the show began to film and now that filming is over, they seem to have gone back to casual acquaintances.  We know that the housewives make a big deal about getting together, Kelly even posted a photograph on Twitter last week because she had lunch with Jill.

Luann has definitely turned around, at the reunion she seemed happier, more relaxed and even showed a sense of humor.  Nothing Luann said at the reunion was in any way relevant.  What Luann didn’t say was more relevant than anything that came out of her mouth.

First Luann refused to answer the charges that she and/or her ex-husband were unfaithful during their marriage.  The fact that she didn’t deny it says it all.  You either refuse to respond, or you deny it.  If you refuse, you are admitting to the allegations, right?

The other question Luann refused to answer was whether or not her ex-husband does not like Jewish people.  Even Andy Cohen made a funny face because of Luann’s non-responsive answer.  Again, the refusal to really answer pretty much answers the question for us anyway.

Luann is pretending to be the classy ex-wife who would never say anything negative about her ex-husband out of respect for her children, yet she was able to find ways to slam the guy against the wall without getting attacked for outright slamming him.  After all it was Luann who brought up how her ex, Alex would be “shocked” that she was dating a Jew.  More passive aggressive behavior and yet, she took no slack for it at all.  I am not saying that it is alright if Alex de Lesseps is a bigot, however, it coming from the hurt and bitter Luann, it may or may not be true.  How fun for her to be able to slam her ex-husband and soil his name without him being able to do anything about it.

Luann started off the season firmly and confidently on “Team Jill” even asking Alex whose team she was on, her blog read:

“I honestly do not know whose side Alex is on and neither does she. She tries to stay neutral but is clearly having a difficult time”

By the time they filmed the reunion, Luann denied being on “Team Jill” and has clearly begun to distance herself from Kelly, turning her digs from Bethenny to Kelly.  Luann questioned Kelly on her behavior on St. John, she said that she told Kelly not to go on the trip to begin with causing Kelly to roll her eyes and look at Luann with disgust.

Luann is a beautiful woman, I will give her that, however what Ramona was using as an “example” was true, it seems like we see Luann in the one-shoulder dresses all the time and her casual wear include the same suade tan colored boots.  I have seen her in those same boots at least one hundred times.

At the beginning of the season Luann was constantly looking for reassurance that everyone thought she looked great, she was looking for compliments from anyone from her daughter’s friends to her former housekeeper/nanny, Rosanna.  Throughout the season without even really noticing, Luann became more self-confident and no longer seemed to need to hear how great she looked at every turn.  Whether it was just time healing her pain, finding a way to record a pitch poor song or if it was due to finding a man to love, Luann has changed and renewed, more than Ramona has.

I am not a fan of Luann’s, in fact I firmly believe that she’s just a “filler”, she’s dull and boring and with the one exception of affecting Jill’s relationship with Bethenny, Luann added nothing to the show whatsoever.

It’s difficult to tell whether or not Luann is a shoe-in for next season.  She’s an original cast member, a plus on her side, she’s not a fan favorite, good reason to dump her.  She’s a constant if other changes are made, a reason to keep her.   Dumping her would allow for new, more exciting housewives to come on board.

Until Next Time…

Yes I agree, LuAnn definitely “mellowed” by the end, however, her behavior for the season was atrocious!! you hit the nail on the head…..PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVE!!! at least Ramona, Bethenny and now Alex tell it straight, not underhandedly!

I wouldn’t miss LuAnn at all if she isn’t on the next season ……….. just sayin 😉

    • tuzentswurth says:

She was VERY passive-aggressive, very back-handed, under-handed, manipulative, condescending, interfering and self-important. I thought Bethenny hit the nail on the head when she said “I don’t like you, I think you are a snake.” Those were my sentiments exactly and she was blown off appropriately. Luann, in her own self-importance, didn’t even hear it or “get it”. She thought B called her a “skank”, so it went right over her head. (Luann is not real bright either, imo). Luann’s behavior was classless and right in line with what we consider “snake-like” behavior in a human. No disrespect meant to actual snakes who do have their legitimate place in the REAL ecosystem. That would be as opposed to the “abstract ecosystem” that exists in Kelly’s head that includes verbs.

    • sophie says:

I imagine that she’s praying to the heavens on high that she’s renewed for next season. I think she needs the attention…and if what I saw on the financial worth of the housewives is correct…she needs the money in order to maintain her position. Jill is worth 30 million+…and Luann only 2 million.

I prefer to see her go. She’s irritating, and not in a “gee, I can’t wait to see what she pulls next” kind of way. Just a “ew, Luann’s on…think I’ll go check my email” kind of way.

  2. NYCer says:

    Thanks for the blog!
One thing that I remember differently is the scene in central park – I thought Jill asked LuAnn if Jacques was Jewish and then Jill said something about how Alex would feel about it. From that I concluded that he really must have a problem with Jewish people if Jill knew about it before knowing who Luann was dating. Not as a deliberate slam by Luann against her ex.

Another sign of Luann’s lack of self-confidence at the beginning of the season was that ridiculous fake dating storyline with Courte. Clearly they were friends and she asked him to fake date her so she could keep her real and budding relationship with Jacques under wraps. Jill even said at the reunion that L had been blushing about Jacques “since September” which would have been the start of the season. And Courte’s amazon bio included a mention of his “appearing as a love interest on” RHONY- can you believe these people and their publicists? As if any legit author would include a line about a bad date he once went on in his bio.

    • TLM says:

September is when Yom Kippur falls, and it was around that holiday when Jill met L in the park and she was talking about Jacques. I am not sure the Coerte thing was entirely fake, but clearly he liked her more than she did him. Definitely she was grateful for the attention.

  3. JazzNightOut says:

Good morning, Lynn. Glad you blogged on LuAnn.

Regarding the call from Mario to LuAnn: before LuAnn could even react to the
message, Jill jumped to interpret it for her by saying that he meant “Bring it on.”
In other words, Jill made sure that LuAnn didn’t see any positive in Mario’s call; she insinuated her take on it for LuAnn. Perhaps if LuAnn had not had Jill there when she listened to the message, she might have heard concilation in the message, or maybe not. Jill made sure she didn’t.

The other comment I have is that at the Reunion, LuAnn did call Kelly out on her instigation of problems in US. V.I. with the other women instead of going along with the “program” of staying off their radar, not that they were gunning for Kelly. In fact, is was Kelly gunning for them. I saw LuAnn at the reunion as not supporting Kelly in her dilusions, by directly bringing up her instigations, and not supporting Jill by not saying anything. She, however, did laugh at put downs toward BRAS.

I agree she is a nonentity on the show. I don’t like her passive aggressive hauteur and don’t enjoy her storylines, even in the previous seasons.

Do you think her attack of Bethenny in the opening episode this season was support of Jill’s strategy against B? LuAnn did film with her when we now know that Jill wanted all the ladies to not film RHONYC scenes with Bethenny to set B. up for failure in her new show.

  4. DJ Loops Fruit says:

im on the fence regarding LuLu
while she isn’t as mean spirited as Jill or as insane as Krazy uh i mean Kelly
she does a lot for the gay community maybe if they showed some of that and less of her
BROMANCE with Jill i say bromance because honestly couldn’t you see these two actually being drag queens they both have mannish quality’s
i really hate the idea of them losing an original cast member however if one had to go id have to agree with you as much as id rather see Jill go they need her for the drama

  5. AlternateReality says:

I think it will be interesting to see how much luann has changed. Will she continue to tag along behind the “I just had a bad day” jill or seek to surround herself with people who derive more satisfaction from their lives.

Will luann continue to try to make sense of kelly? We know that Sonja and luann were friends prior to the series, I wonder how she fills jill with all her screaming and vicious venting at parties will go over? Sonja is not a vindictive person. She will not be pulled into any jill-isms. She will hold a great deal of sway over luann’s decisions.

Season 4 just may be the most delicious yet. jill has said one thing true…she cannot change. Filming with people who are relatively happy and at ease in their lives such as Alex, Simon, Ramona, Mario, Sonja and now luann can do nothing but trigger the greedy, hateful little jill who is obviously a very unhappy little person. HA!

  6. AlternateReality says:

Still wish jill will pull another boner of a pr mistake. Could it be that we have been so successful that she is finally laying low..HORRORS!

  7. AlternateReality says:

BTW…everyone know how easily jill is triggered. For those of you who haven’t been blocked, please post on her website. I can tell to some answers she has left to negative posts before she’d delete them that she goes bonkers over negative posts.

Just trying to raiser her from her PR Sleep…btw jill…how did the pantene thing work for ya?…did they tell you that you just didn’t have the face?

  8. ramonacoaster says:

Great blog once again, Lynn. Luann never bothered me that much. I guess because the “countess thing” is so dull and boring it is easy to ignore her. She is a “never let them see you sweat” type of person and I can respect that but it would have been more interesting to see how she handled her divorce and the relationship with her husband before the divorce papers were filed. She doesn’t owe that to us but as a character on a reality show she would have stood out more instead of being filler. Oh well, c’est la vie!

    • LynnNChicago says:

Please notice that not once do I ever refer to her as “countess” and I never will 🙂 lol

      • NYCer says:

I did notice that and tried to follow your example!

Jill was tweeting last night about “my countess” so I guess she is still claiming her as a team Jill member.

        Maybe Luann has always enjoyed
stirring the pot. In the first season she was the one reporting back to Jill that Ramona had a cooking class party that Jill wasn’t invited to (the ultimate insult in jillworld).

      • desertgal66 says:

Thank you for not referring to LuAnn as “Countess”. That just irritates me, so I don’t do it, either. It’s a courtesy title, for one thing, and, secondly, last time I looked, we lived in the USA-a country founded by people wanting to leave hereditary privilege behind.

LuAnn said at the reunion that, after sixteen years of marriage, she “earned” the right to be called “Countess”. Hell no she didn’t. Since when does any length of marriage give anyone the right to hold themselves above other people with some fraudulent title?

Ms. DeLesseps. That’s your name, baby. Deal with it.

        • LynnNChicago says:

GREAT BLOG HEADER! Thank you so much! Its a big hit!

        • TLM says:

I thought that remark about “I deserve it” was odd as well, since she has always said it’s just “fun”, “people have fun with it,” etc. Andy C said it would be a Catch-22 if she remarried, but honestly I would think she would be happy to leave that all behind. If you can be married to a younger man who you have a great new life with, who cares about being called Countess? I actually would think she would have grown to hate that title by now.

      • talltank says:

She shouldn’t be referred to as “countess since there is no nobility in France and her title isn’t valid. Also, if her ex ha(s/d) a relationship with a non-caucasian I do not believe he would have a problem with Jews. Her new beau seems like a nice enough young man, but I don’t think it’s a lasting liaison.

    • error 404 says:

Is she a “never let them see you smoke” person too? Everyone keeps making fun of her smokers voice, yet it’s amazing she can pull off a Jackie O of never being caught with a cig. Or did she quit?

  9. JazzNightOut says:

I have a question re: BGM?

Do you remember when they were in Atlantic City and everyone was chatting in front of the fireplace? Jason started explaining how B. thought she was so slick when they were not monogamus (sic) and she was dating other men and then she would get home and call Jason and he thought, well that date didn’t go well. If you remember, can you tell me what was said? I only got part of it. It sounded cute and showed how Jason understands B. really well.

  10. desertgal66 says:

    Great blog, Lynn!

Not sure if you saw this on the last blog, so reposting it – new banner possibility:

(If you choose not to use it, I won’t be offended. 🙂 )

LuAnn: Well, I would give her more credit for ‘protecting’ her ex husband and kids if she didn’t use that as a reason to not discuss subjects she brought up in the first place. She needs to stop opening the door.

I didn’t get the sense that Alexandre DeLesseps is as much anti-Jewish as much as he would be shocked that LuAnn, as a Gentile, would date someone who was Jewish. It’s worth noting, though, that Jill had a similar reaction, with her comment about “saving Jewish men for her Jewish girlfriends.”

As for her comment about Bethenny’s “surfing” crack last season-LuAnn did have a point. Bethenny shouldn’t have made the comment about always having to pay. But, LuAnn should have just let it go. She puts way too much emphasis on meaningless wisecracks. Same with Mario.

It was interesting to see a sweeter side of LuAnn emerge, in the scenes with Jacques, and it was also interesting to see her distance herself from the bitch couch during the reunion. I do think LuAnn tries to be tactful, but she trips over herself with the passive aggressive behavior.

If Bravo does bring LuAnn back next season, I hope they expand her storyline to include something interesting-and I don’t mean her “singing career”.

    • JazzNightOut says:

Your banner looks great as the header for Lynn’s blog; it is sophisticated AND pokes fun at Jill. Her face looks like a child who just had to eat her vegetables and is beginning a tantrum.

    • Jenni says:

Love your banner, such a good job! How did you do it? Is it a photoshop thing?

    • Char212 says:

I love the banner too. You did a great job with it!

    • desertgal66 says:

Thanks, all! Glad you like it!

Jenni, PhotoShop is a great program, and I do use it sometimes, but I also use a program by Corel called PhotoImpact. It’s a lot cheaper than PhotoShop, and it has a huge amount of tools that are very similar to PS. It’s also very easy to learn and use.

You can see some of the graphics I’ve created with PhotoImpact here: http://www.dianapow.com/index.html

      • Jenni says:

WOW, your site is so interesting! Will be spending some time there!!!! (thanks for the info on the program you use…)

        • desertgal66 says:

          Thank you!

My site needs some serious updating, so be sure to check in a month or two and see what’s new. 🙂

          • Char212 says:

I wonder when Lulu will realize that when you have to ask for an apology instead of waiting for the person to apologize on their own isn’t really an apology at all. She does it all the time too. Even on the reunion show something was brought up (and I can’t remember who) about someone doing something that she didn’t like. She said she went to that person and told them about it and they apologized. If I have to drag an apology out of someone I don’t want it.

            • Jules says:

It was when LuAnn said that she asked Bethenny for an apology, and she obliged. She probably would have done the same thing to Ramona when she said those things to Jill on the phone Labor Day, but then they would have had to admit that they had purposely put her on speaker, so tha LuAnn could overhear the entire conversation. LuAnn doesn’t like to get caught being classless.

      • Squirrels says:

is there a mac version of photoimpact? I switched to a macbook, so my PC version of photoshop 7 is no bueno now, and its soooo expensive, I don’t want to buy it at that price.

      • Dani says:

Desertgal66, love the new banner excellent job.

    • error 404 says:

Lulu is too insecure to expose her real self on the show. She more than anyone pretends. Sonja by contrast, may not give it all up, but her true self comes thru. Lulu really hid behind the Countess persona for the first 2 seasons, even if it did backfire, it was a mask she could wear. She really struggled this season until she put on the fake “singer” mask.

    • Need a Hobby says:

Kadooze on the banner, desertgal! Well done. 🙂

    • toile says:

love the new trmt on the banner great job!

  13. KookADoodleDo says:

If LuLu is asked back for next season, I think she will gravitate towards Sonia. Sonia runs with true society people & being a divorced Mom also, they have more incommon than LuLu has with Jill.
IMO, after the Jill fiasco this past season, all of the women should steer clear of her to “maintain” their place socially. (All except Kelly!) I do not believe she was ever a member of NYC society bigwigs & is simply an old, shriveled model who once was married to a photographer. I had never heard of Kelly before the show & I am sure I am not the only one.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Kelly was just another model freak until she married Gilles – his name (which he should take back!) was and is her only claim to fame.

    • Zee says:

I agree – Sonja seems to naturally exude the grace and elegance that Lulu seems to think she has the corner market on (NOT!) and has a quiet sense of humor that doesnt come across as ‘trying so hard’. You either giggle at her comments or just let em go. Lulu could learn a lot hanging with Sexy Sonja.

    • toile says:

There is quite a disparity between Sonia’s reported net worth @ approx $34 mil vs Luman @ $2 mil…which I expect would have an impact on the social activities afforded & maybe the common denominator of single parenthood would not overcome.

  14. WindyCityWondering says:

Good morning Lynn – great subject today!
LuAnn has never been an interesting housewife – filler is a good word to describe her. Maybe she felt she could bring her titled airs to the show, Bethenny never bought it (most of the viewers were not impressed either). Maybe she thinks passive aggressive banter is chic – it comes off as bad manners. Bethenny apologized to her very sincerely for the snake comment at her engagement announcement – LuAnn congratulated her and then brought up the snake thing again! She was very much looking to ride on Jill’s scenes as her sidekick and she really did keep the grudge alive between Jill and Bethenny. What has always bothered me the most about her is that for trying to appear to be a classy lady – she comes off as a gossipy, judgemental wannabe with less manners than the entire cast put together.
So paraphrasing Jerry Seinfeld. Is this the best NY can offer? Hell no! Trand her to another team please!

    • Jules says:

I think the most annoying thing about LuAnn is that inspite of the fact that she is gossipy, and prone to alot of her own bad behavior, she stills feels the need to callout everyone else when she thinks they have been rude, or mean, or whatever. While most of the ladies have their faults, the seem to give each other alot more leeway before calling someone out on the carpet. LuAnn needs to learn to at least adopt the policy of those that live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.

  15. Lynne..

FLOVE the header pic!! That is a face that only a mother can love.. HAH!

Great analysis on Luanne, You either have a memory of an elephant or you have all the episodes still on your DVR. I forgot about some of that behavior.

Actually after rewatching some of the episodes and season 2, you catch alot more that you were not looking for. Especially Jill. I dont mean to nit pick, but I think Bethenny certainly made Jill likable diffusing her rhetoric with wit. Jill lost a valuable friend in the fame game.

    I’m Just Saying..

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Totally agree! I never liked Jill, ever – but when she was with Bethenny she was tolerable and a great foil for B’s wit and banter. Now we just see the nasty hag she really is!

  16. RileyKitty says:

I really think Luann thought she made a good choice backing Jill. I know a lot of people say they saw Jill for what she is from the beginning (congrats to those of you who are that astute, I didn’t love her or hate her the first 2 seasons) but she WAS a fan favorite. What these dumb asses don’t seem to realize is, we are fickle viewers. Our love for reality characters can turn on a dime. Even though I have always liked Bethenny, her biting, sarcastic humor isn’t something everyone understands. I don’t know how many comments on sites (like TWoP) I have read where people had unrational hatred for Bethenny. So Lulu probably thought she was picking the winning team when she decided to back Jill up.

    • kokuanani says:

Maybe Lulu was reading those comments on the TWOP boards, not realizing that Evil Strega was deleting the negative ones re Jill.

  17. Olivia says:

Bravo will probably keep Lu Ann as the bridge between the Sonja and Jill interactions. Although how anyone can seriously want to be in the same room with Jill now that her treachery from this past season has been exposed is worth noting. I remember scenes where Jill was introducing both Bethenny and Alex to Lu Ann which indicates that they did not know each other prior to the series, and Lu Ann introducing Sonja to both Jill and Kelly as an old friend.

Ramona has no love for Lu Ann. It will be interesting to watch how Jill manages to “lure” Ramona back into her circle as it may become more evident that Lu Ann will stick close to Sonja and let Kelly go by the wayside. Jill will always need an “ally” in her games and she won’t find that in Alex. Ramona is ripe for the pickings since she gives in each time and since her “renewal” may base her “umpteenth forgiveness” on that alone. Jill will surely want to rule the roost once again and befriending Kelly alone just won’t do it. She will weasel her way through that opening by using Ramona as the “weapon” based on Ramona’s friendship with Sonja if I am judging Jill by her past acts.

Lu Ann may be a dull character but she fills the role of the “link” between several members of the cast. Personally, I do not think any one of them truly likes or admires any of the others but if they are to remain on this series they have to at least “pretend” to a friendship based on their actual presence for the sake of the show. I also see Alex, should she return, as filming almost all of her scenes alone with the possible exception of perhaps a few with Ramona.

Getting rid of Jill and Kelly would be an all time high but Bravo is all about the ratings. I just don’t feature another season of watching Jill tear into Alex, or watch her parade her “treasures” across the landscape for us all to salivate over. Lu Ann does not draw the crowd and any scenes with Kelly are just to painful to endure.

I am only making a guess, but I think it will be Jill exercising her claim to be Numero Uno against Sonja with Ramona playing a crucial role. Alex will be sidelined and Lu Ann will be placed in the middle. Just my thoughts.

    • error 404 says:

there are a lot of triangles going on. Lulu and Ramona coaster hate each other, but they have Sonja in common. R is the long lost bff. Lulu is the more current friend.

for all her puppet master aspirations, Jill really is the outsider this coming season.

  18. AlternateReality says:

I believe that Alex and Sonja have bonded already and since Silex really are active in the charity scene unlike jill who uses it to schill her own importance, they will be doing alot of filming together.

  19. AlternateReality says:

Another thing I found interesting. Luann had no idea that krazy was asked to leave and escorted off the island until the end of May? How out of the loop can one get?

    • Olivia says:

Because she was lying. She knew the seriousness of what happened on the island at that luncheon with Jennifer Gilbert. She said “I heard Kelly had a breakdown” so it only stands to reason she was very much aware of the circumstances involved. And then listening to Kelly explain away the events, she was smirking and making jokes right along with Jill.

Lu Ann is an example of the passive/agressive type. She sits back and watches just enough at a distance to be able to play the “who me?” card as she goes about the business of inserting the jibes when it suits her purpose. She loathes Bethenny, took the side she felt would offer her leverage by “supporting” poor, abused, misunderstood Jill. If what they said was true, then I am sure she was one of the first people contacted by Jill and asked to refuse filming any scenes with Bethenny so she was in it from the beginning.

She made a bigger deal than necessary by taking on Ramona and Mario because she also saw an opportunity to put herself squarely between Jill and Ramona by making herself the “victim” of a random remark. By refusing to absolve Mario, she was able to score points with Jill who in turn took up her cause.

She made this her mantra the entire season and made herself look even more pretentious if that is possible.

      • error 404 says:

She was the very first one to film with B. Lulu needed to have a lot of air time to stay “relevant”. She, more than Silex, was in danger of losing her apple. She provoked B at their meeting. Her intent was to get B to lash out and look bad. It almost worked. Even Lynn is saying B looked bad. It was a set up, I feel convinced.
Plan: provoke B into saying nasty things and people will be so sick of her they won’t watch her show.

        • Need a Hobby says:

Yes, because the purpose of the meeting according to Lulu was to “clear the air” due to B’s ‘behind the back’ comments about her. It was the beginning of the pile on for B. And B was like “WTF?”

So B said, ok I’ll tell you to your face then. And at the fashion show, she did. LOL.

Later in blogs and the reunion, B says she regrets hauling off on Lulu. But that she felt justified at the time although she doesn’t now. (Earlier B thought Lulu was interfering with her relationship with J….later she realized it was all Jill’s machinations and Lulu wasn’t really a factor.)

      • tuzentswurth says:

roflmao…She is pretentious! What was it that Basil Fawlty called the titled guests at his hotel when everything fell apart and they were leaving??? He was shaking his fist and calling them something like “toffee nosed puss pockets”. I don’t remember the whole quote but it is hilarious.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

You are far more interesting and have more character and depth than Bethanny and I am surprised that she would be offered her own show and not you. I really hope you get your own show….between you, your Mum and your sister – it would certainly make for an interesting viewing.

TigrrLily was outed on Facebook as being one of Jill’s pseudonyms. Geez, Jill, you can’t resist posing as someone else and paying yourself compliments even on your own website?

A show with you, your mother, and your sister? Ugh.

Someone will have to let me know if the comment gets deleted. I’m not going back to her site. One visit, and I feel like I need to take a very hot shower.

Does Jill really have an army of fans? I think it is more likely that she has hired people at minimun wage to fight her war in cyberspace.

    • Need a Hobby says:

Yeah, Jill was floating the idea of a show about her family early last year if I recall correctly. Of course she wanted her own show. When Bravo/Shed chose Bethenny as the RHONY breakout star, J went BSC.

I don’t remember the nick, but I do recall J was busted using a sock (one of many) on FB when one of the “fans” was answering a critical post & was defending Jill but slipped & went from talking about Jill in the third person “she” to first person “I.”

    • toile says:

      GIGO ;0/

  24. Olivia says:

If Bravo comes calling, Jill will accept. Her entire off season so far has had her doing battle on the blogs, Facebook, and Twittering in an attempt to lay out her own case and place the blame for her transgressions elsewhere. She is desperate to return.

What I see happening, and this is my own opinion, is Jill making a “comeback” by being nice to everyone around her. Even perhaps to the point of “forgiving” Alex. She is desperate to gain back those “fans” who saw a vicious Jill pull out all stops in defaming Bethenny and since she took those hits her aim is to rectify her behavior by turning over a “new leaf”. I cannot imagine anything less sincere, or more boring, than watching this Witch grovel for attention as we all know it is based on nothing more than her drive to remain a viable presence on t.v. This is what she lives for.

Because if it is merely a repeat of her going after Silex than it just won’t work. It will only be a repeat of past performances which is getting rather stale. Jill does not wish to be seen as the “bad guy” and she is fighting against that image even up to today. Should she return, and I would bet my house on the fact that she will, she will appear to be more humble but it just won’t wash. We know her for what she is and a leopard just does not change its spots that readily.

She is in the business of redeeming herself and there will be enough support out there from those who will blindly accept whatever bullsh*t she throws out there.

    • Quincy IL says:

I think you are thinking like a kind, logical Human being. Jill doesn’t have the ability to be nice. She has to hate someone, blame someone and try to harm someone. It’s in her nature, like those spots.

      • toile says:

That is soooo true but remember Ally is going away to college….Jill will make this her full time job!!!!!!!!

    • kokuanani says:

On a related matter, do you recall that bizarre “walk in the park” that Jill & Luann took [the one where Luann arrived via her very own rickshaw driver]?

My recollection is that Jill was explaining Yom Kipper to Luann, and saying that since the primary element of closing out an old year and moving to the new was “forgiveness,” Jill had to “consult her list” to figure out whom she was going to forgive.

Now my husband is Jewish, so I asked him, “Honey, isn’t the point of Yom Kipper that you are supposed to reflect on the errors you’ve made during the past year, and then ask forgiveness of those you’ve wronged? The point isn’t you forgiving others, [unless, of course, they ask for it], right?”

He say, yes, of course, and that the whole idea of someone “consulting her list” to weigh whom she should forgive was totally at odds with the idea behind Yom Kipper.

Again, in Jill’s mind, it’s all about her — who offended her, that is — not actions she should take to ask forgiveness for her many wrongs.

      • Lolo says:

Thank you! I remember at the time thinking “I think she has all this backwards”.

And anyway, shouldn’t she forgive everyone?

  25. Jenni says:

@ Boston- I have been debating asking for your advice for quite some time now. I have finally decided to “just do it”. I am so impressed with you, helping your mother through her illness, working, going to school, keeping up your relationship with your bf, and of course your intelligent and insightful comments here. I wonder how you find time to do it all, but that is not my question. What I am wondering is what your Mom has said/done in order to help you continue to live your own life to the fullest and ensure that you keep working towards making your future the brightest it can be, rather than become a victim of depression or fear for her condition? How does she help you to see that she does not wish you to sacrifice your future in order to help her? Trying to figure out the best way that a mother can help her child through the type of situation which you are living through.

Sorry to be so off topic, but would love to learn from you!

  26. dickens says:

(First time commentor with two observations)

At the Reunion, Luann’s answer about the Count was that he would be surprised that she was dating a Jew. That sounds to me like she is the anti-semite; otherwise why be surprised that she is dating a Jew?

On the last episode, at Luann’s musical debut, when Sonja asks who is going to Ramona’s renewal ceremony, when Jill says she doesn’t know, Luann is quick to jump in with (paraphrasing), “Well if someone kicked me out of their home…….” Even that late in the game, she was still trying to stir the coals imo.

    • kats2 says:

Yes, you’re so right. Luann is a total instigator. I always knew she would side with Jill no matter what and I believe they are friends off the show, but a real friend would kick Jill in the ass for her behavior and point out her errors. As a friend who is looking out for her best interest, this is what Luann should have done. Bawby did it to a certain extent, he told Jill she was wrong to cut Bethenny out of her life like she did. Luann was not thrilled when Jill told her what Bawby said.

All of these women are so jealous of Bethenny they can’t stand it. Anything Bethenny touches turn to gold and they just can’t compete. Watch the lost footage episode again at the PETA billboard unveiling. All the women who were there and you know the ones that were not couldn’t handle it. Sonja is the only one that had the balls to say it.

At the Reunion, Luann’s answer about the Count was that he would be surprised that she was dating a Jew. That sounds to me like she is the anti-semite; otherwise why be surprised that she is dating a Jew?

LuLu is one GINORMOUS CHICKENSHIT. She never takes a stand on her own…she leaches onto whoever she thinks has the most power and then supports them with passive/aggressive remarks. I have no doubt she supported her husbands’ anti-semite remarks to keep her marriage because of the perks it gave her. If she was living in WWII I she would have turned in her neighbors to the Nazis because she is one GINORMOUS CHICKENSHIT. Bethenny called her a snake because she is one! Her saying she doesn’t take sides while taking one proves the point. I hate passive/aggressives! I’ve had a ton of them in my life and you have to be on constant vigile and call them on it…it’s exhausting and sickening and so CHICKENSHIT. Gawd, I hate cowards!

      • desertgal66 says:

Ah, but worth noting is that Jill clearly made an anti-Gentile remark in the park (“That means I can’t save him [Jacques] for my Jewish girlfriends”), so she is equally guilty of prejudice.

        • Quincy IL says:

Also, Jill will only allow her daghter to date Jewish men. It’s in her book and she has made comments over time that we could find and post. Bethenny is carefully straddling the two world of Jewish and non Jewish in NYC. She is the one person without those hangups.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

Gotta think that making the statement about the surprise her exhusband would have in her dating someone jewish – means that over the years she echoed his “feelings regarding the Jewish People” as silence implies agreement. LuAnn stays busy in other people’s business to deflect interest in her own life choices.

      • LynnNChicago says:

I think she used the word, “Surprised” when what she really wanted to say was “appauled” but she couldn’t be that obvious. She had to get her point out there without seeming as though she was a shrew trying to slam her ex. Another example of her passive aggressive behavior.

    • CheriPie says:

I wondered that too, if it wasn’t her that had the problems with Jewish people and that was why he would be surprised…….wonder how Jill feels about that.

Maybe if everyone backed off with the hatred Jill, Alex, Simon, Bethenny et al would be able to put everything behind them and move on. This continual she said, he said is ridiculous. They are supposed to be intelligent adults but the continual back and forth on blogs/Twitter/Facebook/websites from supposed fans on both sides is just plain silly. Yup Jill is great. Alex and Simon have constantly been rude to her. Enough is enough, unless anyone who comments actually knows any of these people personally for more than 5 mins then there is no point in taking all this so seriously. Altering posters’ comments to make them supportive of J is reportedly what JZ does on JZ’s own web site. (When they’re not just deleted.) Also the use of sockpuppets. The cross pollination between the two sites, “Gwen’s” blog and JZ’s website, has been evident from the beginning: “Fans” on JZ’s site linking to G’s blog to make sure JZ’s “fans” know about it. The sockpuppets shilling the book and the bedding line on both sites. The use of J’s talking points on G’s blog.

If it looks like a duck, sounds like a duck, and just happens to be shilling a book and a yet to be released bedding line as it waddles about, it’s a JZ production.

  30. error 404 says:

Countless Lulu is the type of woman who can’t feel complete without a man.

She starts out the season manless and mean, petty, meddling and vindictive.

She ends the season all smiles and well wishes because she’s boinking a $$ boy with a french accent. Ooh la la. Not as $$ as the “Count” but she doesn’t have to force back vomit at the idea of bumping uglies with him.

People are hard on Lulu. I’ve read several times “She was Countess #$, what did she expect?”. I’d have to say after 16 years and 2 kids, I can see how she was tricked into thinking she was “special” and”the one”. A divorce is harsh. Yet people, with Ramona as their main spokesperson/covergirl, just had to rub it in her face. “Hahah! I knew your marriage was a sham!” etc… I know that Lulu’s phoney aires and condescending passive agressiveness hobors this, but really, it’s small to gloat. Taking pleasure in kicking someone when they are down is small. “I’m sorry, it’s declasse”.

She starts out rehashing old petty greviences because she’s divorcing and rehashing the past and what went wrong. Gosh, can you imagine, Bethenny with a hot guy and Lulu jilted. It’s like upside down world for her. Considering all the advice she gave B last season, it’s clear she considered B a relationship retard, and look how everything is backwards now. “No, B is suppose to be the loser, not me!” Lulu knows that in her heart of hearts!

Homeless, guyless, her job on the line (a NY housewife with no NY address).. Lulu’s adrift.

Jill, being the vampire she is, latched her fangs into Lulu. She promoted and prompted both “feuds” all the while telling the cameras that Lulu was now all alone like 100 times. Talk about passive aggressive. “Poor Lulu. She lost her $$$ man. Let me come with my $$ man and freeload at her house and tell her how sympathetic I am that she has fallen so low in status. I’ll even get her to confront B with a message”.

Shaken and insecure, she latches onto Kiki of all people. Sure, on paper Kiki is also divorced w 2 kids, a fabulous party girl about town showing people divorce isn’t death. But Kiki’s best friend is a lampshade, and the womanchild can’t relate to another human being on any level. Lulu needs friends and instead she gets a zombie who cant even throw crakers on a plate right.

Thank God for Sonja! She’s like a liferaft and Lulu is drowning. Which is worse, stepping in shit in Sonja’s yard, or stepping in shit on the phone with Jill’s put downs about how Lulu can even do an invite right? “FU bitch, I have more class in my little finger than you have in your whole fat body. Size 1 my ass! Money can’t buy you class, my friend”.

After delivering her last message for Jill (“who made you god?”) she’s out. By Jen’s party she’s not following Jill to no pantry. Let Krazy Kelly have that shit. Lulu would rather have Courte lick her face than lick Jill’s ass anymore. She’s getting her mojo back.

    • desertgal66 says:

      Good points, error 404.

The main reason I have more compassion for LuAnn, as opposed to Kelly and Jill, was the way her marriage ended. Okay, yes, she and DeLesseps probably had an open arrangement within their marriage, they were probably both unfaithful, and, yes, they had been having difficulties for a few years.

That aside, it was clearly an arrangement that both agreed to. The scuttlebutt was that DeLesseps didn’t even have the decency to inform LuAnn in person that he wanted to end the marrige-he did it via email. And that’s pretty damn low. Irregardless of the situation inside their marriage, she was still the mother of his children and his wife of sixteen years. Whether you like LuAnn or not, she deserved better than that, for the sake of common decency, if nothing else.

I think LuAnn’s self esteem and sense of identity took a serious hit as a result of that. I mean, I’ve been married over 20 years. If my husband did that to me, even if we were having problems, I’d be devastated. Even if I wanted out of the marriage myself, that would be a crushing blow to my self esteem.

I think LuAnn was still reeling when the cameras went up, and her passive aggressive behavior, which had always been apparent, really kicked into high gear.

Homeless? Hardly. What about the house in the Hamptons? In this financial climate, I just can’t work up any pity for someone in her financial state.

She also invented this whole fake persona around her being a “countess” with class when she really is just a judgemental snob who films as little as possible with Silex because she sees them as somehow beneath her. Do as I say, not as I do is her motto. Total hypocrite. Ugggg. I’d like to see her just disappear back to her insignificant life.

      • error 404 says:

Their fabulous town house was a rental, which apparently even Bravo didn’t know. Homeless as in NYC homeless. It’s not called “The Real Housewives of East Hampton”. Lulu knew her place on the show relied on finding that “pied-a-tere”. It’s even a major point in her season ending update.

        • ecanter says:

I don’t need a lecture on the title of the show or what went down with Luann on the show. Some of your post seemed to try and garner sympathy for her, and you stated that she was “homeless”, not merely lacking a nyc address. Homeless means without a home – any home. I was merely addressing the fact that your usage of the word was in fact incorrect as regards Luann.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

Titles don’t play here in the states. She always points out the differences between European vs American culture. She should move to Europe but I have a feeling she wasn’t that well received there.

      • Bosandi says:

She is really a sad case, truth be told. Luann has taken no time to develop herself other than riding on the countess carpet for 16 years. It’s pitiful that her only shtick is “class” (her book & song). What does she have and who is she if she’s not the epitome of class? Surely the Cancer Society wouldn’t approve of anything less.

Jill is a mama to Kelly’s inner child. At the reunion, when Kelly started going off on the others, Jill told her to stop it. IMO once Jill can no longer control Kelly she will get rid of her asap.

    • kitkat says:

absolutely! The rules of her game were written in the 7th grade.

  32. kats2 says:

Watched the Lost Footage episode again – that scene when Luann and Sonja went to Kelly’s house is hysterical.

It’s like Luann and Sonja were visiting a petting zoo, you get to check out how the animals live, what they eat, you can get close but you don’t want to get too close. They are still animals and there’s only so much interaction and time you can spend with them.

    • Quincy IL says:

Kelly’s first attempt at a party is a tray with a few snacks out of packages. It seems sad to me.

      • Need a Hobby says:

Don’t forget the jelly beans. 😉

      • WindyCityWondering says:

what were those round things? please don’t tell me that was cheese! it looked like bagels that she cut the mold off of….

          • duchess of dryer lint says:

They were donuts. Mini donut gems, cake donut gems to be exact. I froze the screen because I was curious to see what all she had put out. donuts. and jelly beans.

    • boston02127 says:

@kats2–OMG visiting a petting zoo! My sides hurt from laughing after I read that.

    • Laurie in Detroit says:

Somebody — How in the H did Kelly get that house in the Hamptons and also the NYC apartment. That house is FABULOUS!! She was only married to Gilles for what, about 6 years? He’s a famous photographer, but come on, is he really worth Billions of dollars , half of which he could give to her?? Or does he still own these places and let her live in them until the girls are grown perhaps? Anybody have any inside info on this??

Another thing I’m wondering: Why is it that Kelly goes off on a tear if Alex or Bethanny say the most little inconsequential thing, but Luanne and Jill can smirk and make fun of her while she’s sitting right there, and she rolls her eyes, but otherwise says nothing to defend herself again those two. What the H?

  33. Katiecoo says:

I kind of turned around in my attitude about Luann by the time the reunion was over. For a couple of reason s (I’ve posted before so please forgive the redundancy):

    1. I do give her some leeway for going through HELL at the time they were filming, publicly, humiliatingly and I do think, unlike Jill and Kelly, she has a conscience and was horrified at the reflection of everything on herself, her kids (vs. the constant denial/blaming we see from the other two heads of Crazy).

    2. When someone is vulnerable, they are more suseptible to the manipulation of a Narcissist like Jill. It was a perfect pair, someone needing a shoulder and lost in the world and a puppet master. I do think she showed some signs of “getting it” at the reunion about how Jill so inappropriately set everyone up to villianize Bethenny over the “cancer scare” which was based on a 100% LIE. I just have this gut feeling that Luann gets that now and feels kinda bad about it-she seemed VERY tuned in to Bethenny during the reunion.

    3. I saw a new and improved Luann come out around her new romance and I couldn’t help but soften and be happy for her.

Next season will be break it or make it for me with her. If she sticks around Jill, forget it. BUT if the show were to show her in her new budding romance and he seems charming and interesting…doing fun things , staying clear of the Kelly/Jill craziness, I could just like her alot again.

Please don’t throw any daggers….and Lynn you NAILED it with the comment about what was more important were the things she DIDN’T say at the reunion…RIGHT ON!!!! Nailed it!

  34. Adios Lunatic says:

I didn’t like the sit-down with Bethenny this year that resulted from the surfing lesson that Bethenny had to pay for. LuAnn had to know Bethenny’s financial situation was not as good as the rest of the women and regardless of who asked who to participate, LuAnn should have volunteered to pay her share — if Bethenny said no that she was taking care of it, then that’s the end. But no, LuAnn just assumed it was being taken care of. So, if I was Bethenny I probably would have vented to whoever was around and the camera, too.

I promised to post the Houston Gay Pride Parade footage if it was uploaded to KHOU.com and it has been. Andy is in this piece throughout — to see footage go to KHOU.com and click on Gay Pride Spreads Across Houston since I can’t seem to figure out how to post. Not a single picture or mention of Andy in the Houston Chronicle.

    Gay Pride spreads across Houston

HOUSTON—Gay pride took center stage Saturday for the 32nd straight year in Houston’s Montrose area.
Trevor Eade, Pride organizer, said in addition to the popularity of the annual event, the fact that the city elected an openly gay mayor is proof the Bayou City is gay-friendly.
“Having Mayor Annise Parker at the helm of our city just goes to demonstrate that as a city, we will vote someone into office and it isn’t just about sexual orientation,” Eade says.
The evening parade was expected to bring a crowd of almost 200,000 and is listed as one of the city’s top ten annual events.
Freddi Jensen said she’s glad to see so many people show up to support the community. Her son was killed in 2008 and she started a non-profit group to push acceptance.
“Healing Out Loud is here because my gay son was murdered two years ago,” said Jensen.
Andy Cohen of the BRAVO network made an appearance as Grand Marshall for the parade along with Mayor Parker.
“I just kind of always thought of Barbara Bush and the former president, her husband and the Bush dynasty, which isn’t you know ,doesn’t have the most progressive record,” said Cohen.
Cohen was excited about his first real visit to the country’s fourth largest city.
“I wanna meet a cowboy. I want some barbecue. I wanna meet Barbara Bush and I wanna shake the mayor’s hand,” admits Cohen.
According to the Houston’s Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, Houston is listed as a destination place for the gay community, and there was no more proof than Saturday’s parade.

    • error 404 says:

His fixation with Babs Bush is “creepy”. She’s the most dowdy FLOUS ever. She even makes Laura look hip and cool. Politics aside, I could see a gay icon fixation with Nancy Reagan. Girl had a ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ fabulous vibe to her, even if she was vomit inducing on so many levels. But Babs Bush? My Grandma had more panache, and she wasn’t such a bitch either.

      • Adios Lunatic says:

It was certainly not Andy’s best moment and he tweeted basically the same thing before getting here. I was shocked at how much press he got from the CBS affiliate until I looked at the past Grand Marshalls — he’s clearly the most famous.

I was a little disappointed not to see him on a float (not even sure that’s what they have here) — THAT would have been priceless!

      • Squirrels says:

        Isn’t she in Maine anyway?

        • toile says:

Yep! The ME former white house is where they live full time.

        • Adios Lunatic says:

They keep a home in Houston as well. She has all of her medical stuff done here including the many hospitalizations for heart issues. George HW Bush’s official office is still in Houston.

  35. WindyCityWondering says:

LuAnn has never been an interesting cast member – from the Queen of Manners we see every rule broken! She gossips, stirs the pot and stands back with overkilling surprise just waiting to say I told you so…… she is a parasite – latched onto Jill.
Kelly really doesn’t like her and it shows during the season but becomes very evident at the Reunion. Consider also that she never fessed up to agreeing not to film with Bethenny, the look of surprise that crossed her face when Jill threw her under the bus about Alex’s kids climbing up someone (on Bravo’s staff) leg and her longing looks at the other couch, she has come to the conclusion that she backed the wrong team!
So if she comes back she will still be boring, still be commenting on other’s lack of manners, still gossiping and bringing up ancient history, still being a passive/aggressive stirring the pot bridge between the light and the dark. She will parasite herself to Sonja, try to make amends with Alex (rising star) and hold Ramona (Mario) at arms length and “help” Jill find her good girl. Kelly will see this as wronging Jill and become more openly hostile towards her. IMO LuAnn really doesn’t have a place in the dynamics and will remain filler if she returns. The main reason I don’t want her to return is I can’t stomach anymore of her singing dahlings!

  36. Adios Lunatic says:

@RileyKitty — thanks for posting pictures of Ryan and Riley on previous blog. They are too cute. Hope Ryan is all better soon — he looks like he’s taking things well.

  37. CuckooforCocoaPuffs says:

Kelly has always been exactly the way she is now:

    NYT – 2006

This one is interesting because it was after “Scary Island” but before the season aired – DO NOT HAVE ONE NIGHT STANDS!

    • error 404 says:

that’s the nicest, most “normal” interview I’ve ever read with Kiki.

I get what she is saying, but ugh “It’s an amazing opportunity for them to develop visual integrity. ” Please, someone send this girl one of those toilet paper rolls with the daily vocabulary words on it! She was being genuine and making sense until she just had to insert that one stale “PR lingo” sentence in there. Kiki, hire them full time. You just can’t keep using the same 5 sentences they gave you in that one meeting over and over again for 5 years!

      • dickens says:

New Yorkers are synthesizers and she was busy synthesizing all that info for her book. She used a form of that word 3 times in that interview!

Jackie O would be so proud.

Re making the show, she says, “If I can make you think, then I have done my job.” Well she did a good job making me think she’s a lunatic!

      • Jules says:

Really, really, really, really, really, really………………………..

    • desertgal66 says:

Her style icon is Jackie Onassis? FOFL! Jackie’s style was classic, elegant, and conservative. Kelly dresses like a 15 year old aspiring to be an amazing soft porn star when like she really really graduates from you know like high school.

“It’s an amazing opportunity for them to develop visual integrity. ” Oh, give us a break.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

Yeah the Jackie O as my icon was wonky – So maybe she just likes pictures of Jackie, but that doesn’t mean she has to dress like her. Because Jackie O was like yesterday and I am like today…….

      • CuckooforCocoaPuffs says:

More word salad – you don’t “develop visual integrity” by observing art!! I’m too lazy to count, but my guess is that this article would have been 1/2 as long if they excised the word “Amazing”.

      • error 404 says:

Well, It’s “amazing” because only NYC has museums. No other city, town or village in the US has museums or art galleries.

And “visual integrity” is important. When Teddy draws those phony fake lines, like a quarter round sun in the corner of the page, it just drives Kiki over the edge. She goes into a Van Gogh like rage and then Teddy pouts and just writes complaints on a pad for the rest of the day.

Kiki recently saw a pic of Jackie O snapping pics on the street for a magazine she worked for. Kiki ran right out an did the same for Gotham only with a modern twist. Jackie probably wasn’t cutting edge enough to ask children to describe their underwear under their pants. Maybe a little picture? Huh? No?

        • desertgal66 says:

Oh, wow, I’d completely forgotten about that picture of Jackie with her camera as the inquiring reporter. It really does make you wonder if Kelly is imitating her in the same way she imitates Bethenny, doesn’t it?

Okay…I admit, you don’t have to dress like someone to have them as your style icon. Although…Jackie did practice the “less is more” rule, and Kelly does wear less of everything-less fabric, less skirt, less neckline…

  38. Zipit Zarin says:

Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful. ~ Proverbs 27:6

  39. Kokuanani says:

    It is always about Luann.

Is narcissism contagious, because it sure seems like Luann caught it from Jill.

I’ve never seen two people who were so “it’s all about ME.”

    Nice new banner!!!

  40. Kokuanani says:

My opinion of Luann’s staying on the show is based on priorities:

First, I want to see Jill gone. Even more than Kelly [see below], Jill is a detriment to the show. Read the last 15 blogs here if you need specific examples.

Second, I’d like to see Kelly go. The reason I rank Jill’s departure over Kelly’s is that both the Housewives and we can ignore Kelly. Yes, she’s mentally ill. Yes, her ramblings drive everyone crazy. But she’s basically powerless. And stupid.

Jill, on the other hand, aggressively attempts to control every situation. Everything is about her. She sucks the air out of the room, and all living things die. Get rid of her first.

So that leaves Luann third. Yes, she’s narcissistic, dishonest and passive-aggressive. I’d love to see her dumped. But since it’s unlikely that Bravo will dump THREE of these tarts, I’ve got my wishes and priorities in order, and there they are.

    • error 404 says:

true. And Bravo may feel the same too.

      1. Jill is trying to control Bravo and the show, which she thinks is hers not theirs. Ratings aside, it must be hard for powerful network executives with their own egos to put up with the yenta that keeps taking credit for all their work.

      2. Well, Kiki is a liability and their lawyers are probably always at them to fire her before she burns someone’s house down or stabs Bethenny in “Self defense”. But everyone has learned how to just daydream about tomorrow’s menu while she’s rambling on about god only knows what, so in a way she is harmless, you’re right.

      3. Lulu is the class clown, and even if they dumped her they’d just replace her with someone just as bad. Hello? Have you ever seen RHoNJ or RHoA? “This is NY’s best?” No Jerry, but NY’s best is too smart to “willingly put their heads in this toilet bowl”.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

No way would Bravo take out all three – LuAnn would be the most likely one to leave because she really doesn’t add anything to the show. Kelly should go because she doesn’t fit in and is a joke now. Jill will likely stay so she can redeem herself but that means she needs a fresh start with someone.
A new housewife could be a new friend for Jill – or she will end up like Danielle (none of the cast will film with her and Teresa likely got a bonus to fake a fight/showdown) – isolated and marginalized and uninteresting to watch.

    • twoile says:

      I whole heartedly concur;0)

    • Jules says:

Okay, I think the best way for me to describe the difference in the way I react to Kelly, Jill, and LuAnn is as follows. Kelly makes me want to yell, Jill makes me want to kill, and LuAnn makes me want to vomit. It’s as simple as that.

  41. boston02127 says:

@jenni-You make me sound like I’m a saint. I’m not. She’d be the first to tell you that at times I’ve “given her a run for her money” as she would put it.
My mom can still talk. Her speech is very poor thou, doctors, nurses and some relatives can’t understand her. We do still talk. I can understand her most of the time. Her illness began to show in 07 and has progressed very fast since then. When you see someone who has been so good to you loose the ability to hold a small cup, something in you just kicks in. When I learned about PSP it scared me so much and still does. Most people with PSP end up in a nursing home. Knowing that keeps me going, I don’t want her to go to a nursing home. I’m not as strong as you’d think, I break down and cry all the time. I do have an aunt that lives close by that helps out and my grandmother comes every other weekend and I pray a lot. I really don’t know how to answer your question other than she has always told me I have two choices in life. Right or wrong, plain and simple. For many years she’s told me, “you have to wake up every day and look at yourself in the mirror” meaning, be a good person and do what’s right. The most important things for her are family, doing what’s right and treating people how you’d want to be treated. I’m just doing what she would do for me.

    • error 404 says:

Good for you! You made a decision and stuck to it.

I don’t know what I’ll do. Luckily I’ve yet to be forced to as my parents are still in good health for their age.

My Mom spent much of her middle age caring for a dying aunt who didn’t want to go to a home. It was really draining and I think my mom has some resentments. She always says she wants to go to a home.

Oen of my aunts was recently put in an assisted living apt, and all she does is complain about how she wants to be home. My Mom can’t stop raving about how wonderful the apt is and how that’s what she wants is she gets sick. I know for a fact that it’s costing my cousins a small fortune and it’s probably draining their kid’s college funds dry, all the while their Mom complains complains complains. There’s no winning.

  42. Squirrels says:

Anybody notice Kelly’s title for her Bravo blog?

“Kelly says a final farewell to fans and is ready to finally move on.”

    Oh, please say it’s true!

    • WindyCityWondering says:

@Squirrels: wish much? lol you know Kelly has little control over her vocabulary choices!

    • kats2 says:

Dare to dream. But she has nothing else going on, can’t feed the kids on old modeling pictures, her name or the new feather duster jewerly line.

    • CuckooforCocoaPuffs says:

I think Kelly is getting her own show of some sort, not necessarily on Bravo. A few weeks ago she tweeted that she had something amazing to announce soon. Followed somewhat later with a 2 day trip to LA. Followed by a weekend in Vegas with Guiliana Rancic….. It also makes sense that Jill would still be hanging out with her if she knows this – Jill doesn’t want to be left behind and will, at this point, attach herself to as much “fame” as she can.

      • kats2 says:

I thought her big news was her stupid feather jewerly. What there’s more? She also tweets about bullying and we know that never happened. I hope Kelly is just trying to create the illusion that she has a lot going on. But the following has me worried.
        Kelly’s latest tweet –

Gaypride 2010 was amazing. Tks gmhc and whole foods for having me on the float. Woooooo

She’ll be back in the Hamptons with her only real friends (her horses) very soon.

Kelly on a WELLNESS float is a joke.

        • kokuanani says:

I’ll bet the horses wish they could join Ginger and run away: they’re probably fearful that she’ll bring more of those pancakes when she returns.

Guiliana did a story and interview with Kelly because Kelly’s psycho scenes had recently aired, now Kelly thinks G and Bill Rancic are her best friends…Nope!

For the Racic’s that was business, not pleasure. G is just SO nice to everyone, especially when she is trying to get a story, Kelly doesn’t realize it isn’t real.

During the Lost Footage Episode at the end Jill said she was now on the LX New York Show and she made it sound like she was a regular host that will be on the show, right?

On the shows website they have a list of all the hosts of the show and Jill is no where to be found in the line up. I did a search on the LX New York site for Jill Zarin and the following link is what came up, but this of Jill having her stupid book promoted with other HW’s in attendance. So it doesn’t like Jill is on this show at all. Can anyone confirm?

LX New York is a live, daily, lifestyle show produced by LX.TV, airing weekdays on NBC 4 New York. The show features fashion, beauty, celebrity interviews, cooking, arts and tri-state area stories.

From there, he went to the West Coast, hosting various radio and television shows.

Maria lends her knowledge of pop culture and all things celebrity to LX New York.

    • Squirrels says:

Well, since it is an NBC affiliate, could be they felt obligated to put her on, even for only 10 mins. That said, she talks all over the guests and other hosts. It’s not a pretty sight.

      • kats2 says:

You’ve seen her on this show? Was she actually hosting as she claims she is?

I think this is just to get back at B for actually doing co-hosting on the real Today show some times. J will never give up counting and comparing.

      • I Can't Stand The Toxicity says:

LX New York is one of the worst television shows that I have ever seen. It is even worse when Jill is co-hosting.

        • Dani says:

Did anyone else notice that on the lost footage segment that when Jill said she was co-hosting on LX New York she looked straight at Bethenny when she said it? It might have been my imagination because I really hate Jill Zarin.

    • Need a Hobby says:

She said she was guest hosting on the show, which she has done. Not a regular gig. And that could dry up if she does as poorly as reports here have said.

    • Jules says:

I believe that what Jill actually said was that she was going to be a regular guest host. From that, I took it to mean that she would fill in as needed.

  44. I Can't Stand The Toxicity says:

Here is another interesting comment posted on Jill’s website by Lisa W…..Hmmm. You will see that there is another mention of a spin-off show featuring Jill and her family.

GREAT, I’m gonna order the book on Zarin Fabrics, thank you, cannot WAIT to get it. I was waiting until something like this offer since you don’t have an appearance in Houston any time soon.

Look forward to more updates from the Zarin world! Enjoy your weekend and blessings to you all. I hope to see you on housewives, it’s the only reality show I watch. But I understand if you don’t want to come back becaue of devilish Alex, not sure what her deal is but, I have to say I don’t really care, ha ha! And there ya go!

Now, with saying that I would like to see a Bravo spin off of the Zarin household! It could be you doing work at Zarin fabrics (gay friend and all y’all were a hoot!), fundraisers, charity (celeb) fashion shows, you in the hamptons, events, friends, travel no one liners needed! I think your life is interesting and someone should give you your own deal. But Kelly and Luanne their personalities just don’t jive with yours very well, for TV I mean. And kelly is kinda ummm… fill in blank! Life and Times of a Jewish family… Zarin World what a show name! ha!

Gotta go order my book, luv to you all!

Oh that is too rich! Posted by Lisa W. with a great suggestion for a show by Jill and her sister Lisa WEXLER! This one is a classic!

    • dancekrazy says:

Oh, my heavens! This one wants to see a spin off starring the Zarin household.
      Can you just picture it?

      1. Jill awakens in full make up, oversized eyelashes. and hair in a gorgeous negligee. Bobby set alarm early and ran to fabric store half dressed. Ginger peed on Zarin’s bed. (Ginger gets stressed when she has to sleep with Zarin, just like Bobby)
      2. Ginger pooped on the kitchen floor and Jill has to clean it up (Ginger gets stressed when Zarin is awake)
      3. Jill gets dressed, takes Ginger (poor thing) to ZARIN’S fabrics. Ginger pees on the $1,500. a yard silk fabric. (Ginger gets stressed when Zarin is in the store)
Asks Brad to clean it up.
      4. Walks to car and gets in. Ginger poops a little on Zarin’s new fur coat. (Ginger gets stressed when Zarin is holding her)
      5. Jill goes to Sak’s, maxes out her “diamond” card (only to return all the clothes post-wear, in next week’s show). Ginger pees on the VIP floor’s new $100,000. Persian rug. Jill sneaks out before anyone notices. (Ginger gets stressed when Zarin is the one at the other end of the leash)
      6. Jill goes home and pretends to cook—-banging and clanging the pots and pans, smashing and crashing the dishes and glasses. Crappy lamb chops go to Ginger, no one will eat them. Ginger gets “the runs” on Zarin’s dining room carpet. (Ginger gets stressed when she has to eat all the junk Zarin gives her)
      7. Jill calls Dr. Linda, the vet, her assistant, Brad, Zarin’s friend with her dog, and of course, the camera crew. Ginger poops all over Jill’s living room. (Ginger gets stressed whenever she thinks about her next day on earth with this woman.)

  45. lina says:

This might sound harsh, but I never thought Luann and Alex had a “real” marriage. To me something was off. As a viewer I never got the feeling that luann and alex loved each other, I got the impression they cared of one another but the only reason they were together was maybe the children and the reputation. If you look at Alex and Simon or Ramona and Mario, you can clearly see that they love each other to the fullest.

    • kats2 says:

I agree, I think the “Marriage” was in the nose dive formation for quite some time. He’s been married 4 times what would anyone expect.

      • Squirrels says:

Seems he just keeps em long enough till he finds something more appealing.

        • WindyCityWondering says:

That seems to be his MO, it was LuAnn’s first marriage so she had different expectations.

    • desertgal66 says:

Hard to say, though, since we never saw LuAnn and Alex together in happier times. By her own admission, the marriage was already going south when she started filming RHoNY.

I did notice one time, last year, when they opened NASDAQ together. There was a little boy who came to ring the bell with them (I think he was handicapped, and represented some charity?), and while they were waiting to go onto the floor, LuAnn was talking to the boy and gave him a cuddle. Alex was watching her in a tender way-perhaps it reminded him of LuAnn with their kids when they were smaller-anyway, it was a nice moment. It made me think, after they split, that there probably was a time when they had something really good together. But, nothing lasts forever…

    • error 404 says:

Please, by the time we “met” them on TV, they’d been married 14 years. I think it’s really a stretch to say the marriage was never “real” just because we hit it on it’s last legs. It also bugs me when people say Lulu should have known because she was wife #4. I know the count is old, but surely his previous 3 unions didn’t last 16+ years each. Now, if Lulu’s marriage had lasted only2 or 3 years, maybe I’d buy into all of the digs. But a 16 year union with 2 kids is not something I feel the need to trivialize. Of all the things to pick on Lulu for, and there are a lot, this one just seams really mean IMO.

      • CuckooforCocoaPuffs says:

I agree. The marriage was on it’s last legs when the show started. It’s not fair to judge based on only what we saw.

    Jill’s tweet:
interviewed @jenniwoww vinnyguadagnino,@yorandyjackson ,@NickCannon@kiklet,@countessluann last night for @lxnewyork. Will be on this thur about 1 hour ago via web

Jill’s big important job interviewing the above people.
    Let me pick this apart.

    J-WOWW (that’s right 2 w’s…cuz that’s how the ghetto girls roll)
J-WOWW is from the TV show The Jersey Shore. She’s cheated on her boyfriend (who is a married man). She loves to get drunk and get in fist fights.
She just launched a line of clothing called Filthy Couture. Classy! I’m betting Bloomie’s won’t be carrying JWOW’s clothing.

Vinny Guadagnino– He’s also from the Jersey Shore TV show. He’s a man slut or tries to be. He’s 21 with no job. Likes to hang on the beach all day and get drunk every night. Rules to life he lives by are “GTL” which mean gym, tanning, laundry.
(total husband material, hold me back)

Nick Cannon—–Pretty much living off of Mariah Carey. He’s had a few D-list comedy movies. He’s on America’s got Talent.

Look out Oprah and Barbara……Jill Zarin is close to a new prime time slot.

    • Squirrels says:

How, of all people can Jill pull off an interview? At some point it will end up all about her. She’ll add anecdotes of herself which have nothing to do with the subject at hand. Of course interviewing Kelly this way may be a good thing.

      • kats2 says:

One person from here (just one) needs to watch on Thursday and report back to us.

        • Squirrels says:

Often there is a link to the show. Not always from the show itself, sometimes from bloggers (who are no longer allowing the queen to clog the airwaves with BS).

      • Jules says:

Jill has terrible grammar. Example: At the luncheon after Scary island when Kelly is asked to explain what happened, Jill says “I know, she knows, and she don’t know.” She makes these type of grammatical faux pas all the time. Thank god I don’t have to watch her.

    • error 404 says:

Oh. I thought it was J-WOWW because one of the other phone-sex girls already had J-WOW as a name. Or maybe she just misspelled it.

  47. boston02127 says:

It’s like Kelly is 13. This is her tweet:
Someone just asked for my number while I was on the gmhc/whole foods float
I didn’t bother copying her last tweet. She tweeted about how the parade was.
She said it was…..what else…… “amazing”.

  48. kats2 says:

So Jill is in full force tweeting and pic sharing mode. The comments people are making on some of the pics are very funny.

  49. janelady says:

  50. kats2 says:

Do we know where Jill is staying this summer, did she get a new house in the Hamptons? She asked Kelly Cutrone (sp?) if she needed a place to stay so I assume she has a house with extra rooms. Pics of her and Luann doing the Hamptons benefit circuit. Luann still wearing purple dresses.

    • boston02127 says:

@kats2– I saw that she was tweeting to Kelly Cutrone. I can’t for the life of me see the two of them being friends. Kelly Cutrone is such a no nonsense type person.

      • kats2 says:

I know I just don’t get it. Perhaps Kelly was doing it to help with her new show. If she ever actually stayed with Jill I’d be surprised. I wonder what Kelly Cutrone thinks of dingbat Kelly? You know she has an opinion.

        • Adios Lunatic says:

But remember that Kelly Cutrone has a PR company — maybe Jill and Kelly have decided the Kardashian’s guy isn’t getting it done and now they need People’s Revolution help — gratis, of course.

  51. boston02127 says:

I just noticed that Slobby doesn’t have his wedding ring on. Also, what happen to Jill’s mothers advice of never wear black, always wear the brightest color.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Bawby is losing weight – sign he is getting ready to go wife shopping….

      • kats2 says:

        Good catch about the ring.

We need a Hamptons insider to deliver the gossip to us about what’s really going on.

  52. kats2 says:

    Based on this pic

Luann looked better with Cort (Sp?) But she has the same hair style as Jac

    • boston02127 says:

I wonder if you smashed the two of them together if you’d get one nice looking guy? Sorry to say but I doubt it.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

What an odd trio – when does Frenchie have to go back to school? Corte looks better in this pic than when he was on the show.

    • boston02127 says:

What are the chances you meet two guys with such odd names? What ever happen to names like Danny and John or Joe? Leave it to Luann.

      • kats2 says:

HA! @ “When does he go back to school.” Good One!

BTW – from an earlier topic regarding Kelly stating she was working on a few things she couldn’t talk about. . . I’m sure arranging to have her ass the Whole Foods float was one of them. In Kelly’s world that is a big deal.

      • Squirrels says:

“What ever happen to names like Danny and John or Joe? Leave it to Luann.”

        They end up on RHWONJ.

        • LynnNChicago says:

Hey Luann was married to a “count” the next person she’s with is going to be someone “big” like that…..oh wait, thats Kelly’s line

  53. Adgirl says:

I don’t know if Alex is a bigot. I think he expects LuAnn to raise Noel (the future Count) in a traditional Christian fashion.
Alex probably doesn’t give a shit about who LuAnn screws. Just don’t convert the household to Buddhism Judaism or Scientology.

    • kats2 says:

I think from what we have seen and heard on the show that it’s safe to say something is up. I not only think he is a bigot but also think he is a male chauvinistic pig.

Think back to the scene of Alex playing tennis agianst Luann. . . He was a total asshole and couldn’t handle losing to her. She folded like a cheap suit because he was ready to lose it while the cameras were rolling.

The dude is a classless pig.

      • FreeCupcakes says:

Was that Season 1 or 2? I remotely remember seeing that but it’s been a long time.

        • kats2 says:

          I think S1

          • twoile says:

So glad you mentioned the “graceless loser” I remember the look he gave her & she literally did fold. I wondered then what the punishment could have been if she didn’t, b/c she looked a bit timid.

    • Squirrels says:

She would need to convert and right now it is not going to happen. She knows what side her bread is buttered. She won’t give that up without one hell of a security guaranty.

At this stage of my age game, nor would I.

    • Quincy IL says:

When parents divorce, they take the risk that someone new will be close to their children. We see Allyson being uncomfortable with Bobby. Being a good parent requires that we think about the children first, not ourselves.

  54. Sick of the Trolls says:

The Amazon troll is now posting “hate” posts against Alex and Simon and “for” Jill using names from here, and from Sucks, and Amazon, quoting them as if they are support posts on Gwen’s blog.

Meanwhile, negative votes for any positive reviews of Silex or Bethenny books are all over the place. Last time I looked, for example, one of Lynn’s reviews had two “not helpful votes. I gave it a “helpful” vote, but so much attention is being paid to Jill’s book, people aren’t noticing the trashing going on for reviewers of Silex or Frankle books. If you find the reviews helpful, don’t forget to vote!

    • Olivia says:

Amazon should just pull the plug on that page altogether. It has become nothing more than a blistering site revolving around Zarin, her relatives, the p.r. team, and a few Jill holdouts.

Hard to believe anything of value being printed over there now.

    • MickeyMouth says:

That is the silliest crap I have ever read. Well that certainly changed my mind. I wil never again read a review written on Amazon.

      • CuckooforCocoaPuffs says:

Unless it is written by someone like Alana C.

      • Sick of the Trolls says:

The REVIEW is fine. The troll comments are not.

I always read Amazon reviews before buying something I am not sure of. I learned a lot about breadmakers that way. ha.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Jill’s book tanked well before these “book wars”! LuAnn’s book tanked too but you don’t see it in the “book wars”! Bethenny’s books are in another category all together. Kelly’s books are well, on Kelly’s coffee table…… The real target of this war is being waged against Alex&Simon, who are in second print (woo hoo) so Jill is like pissing into the wind here………….and we all know what that would smell like!!!!

      • Quincy IL says:

What a life Jill Zarin leads. She goes to war because someone else is selling books. That is so sad. That is so Jill Zarin.

Obviously, Jill is a very sick person. Money can’t buy you class, Jill. Bobby Zarin has to be an idiot to stay with Jill Zarin.

  55. Olivia says:

You got to love the insanity of Kelly who claims to be such a private and shy person. She must have callouses on most of her fingers by now as she “tweets” away advising one and all of her every effen move!

She is close to twittering “I saw a bird today!” what with most of the other inanity she has chosen to send out to the world by way of “interest”.

  56. dancekrazy says:

    Hey, Lynn
Just to add to your assessment of LuAnn’s friendship with Zarin—notice how she jumped from Zarin to Sonja when it came to the “cocktails and couture” party. She essentially cut jz out, when she was originally using the words “us”, and “we” when she and Zarin were on the bed talking about that fundraiser.
LuAnn goes where the real class is and latches onto it.
Remember the creepy (redundant) faces Jill was making when she was talking on the phone to LuAnn in Sonja’s garden? Even when Jill was talking about the e-vite,”… yeah, I can see you didn’t put much thought into it…” She was so jealous of Sonja’s becoming the co-star of this event. And, of course, Zarin had to add (when they asked if they should invite Bethenny), “Well, I don’t see why you would when she called you a ‘snake'”, and “I like to keep my circle tight”, and “It will change the dynamic.” JZ cut B. right out of that party, but I think that was more of a strategic move on LuAnn’s part than her caving into Zarin’s desires. Zarin had already said she would invite her friends from the Sak’s event, so LuAnn needed to stay on the good side of Jill to get those people there with lots of clothing in hand.
It seems, though, each time we’ve seen LuAnn with Jill, it’s because LuAnn wants something from her, whether it’s information, gossip, rich friends with clothing, etc.
One last comment about LuAnn and Zarin and apologies:
I wonder if Jill ever apologized for upstaging LuAnn at her book appearance by speaking loudly, commenting over LuAnn, texting when she was being introduced, and out and out embarassing her by saying, “Does anyone have a brother for LuAnn?” This infraction seems alot more serious than the “countless” remark.
Thanks, Lynn, great blog yet again!
I think LuAnn will definitely form a closer bond with Sonja and the others, rather than Jill. Just my opinion.

    • Squirrels says:

” She [Jill] was so jealous of Sonja’s becoming the co-star of this event.”

WOW…. how smart is Sonja? She came in mid season and realized from the get go she needed to make a fantabulous splash. What better way than to host a charity event in her obviously much more superior home?

Jill must be wearing colored contacts. Her TRUE eye color has to be devil red by now. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

  57. WindyCityWondering says:

Alright everyone – I have ranked the famewhore as follows: 1-Jill, 2 Kelly! LuAnn is wishing. Sonja is accepting. Alex is learning, Bethenny is thanking and Ramona isn’t playing.

    • CuckooforCocoaPuffs says:

It depends on your definition, I think. Jill and Kelly want to be famous for nothing, like Paris Hilton and Kim Kardassian. Bethenny wants her fame to launch a “brand”, like Martha Stewart. I think Alex and Simon just want to use the fame/infamy to provide a great life for their family. I think Sonja and Luanne are catching on to that same idea – some money of their own, independent of alimony and child support.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

Good analogies for Jill and Kelly! I ranked Jill first because she seems to need fame for some kind of personal validation. Unfortunately, she will never get as much as she needs.

        • CuckooforCocoaPuffs says:

There isn’t enough attention in the world for JZ to feel that she has it all. Nothing is ever good enough for her. She could have paparazzi photographing her going to the bathroom every day, but if someone else also got attention, she would be miserable.

      • Squirrels says:

Makes perfect sense re: B and Martha S. Why would she try out for the show if she didn’t admire Martha’s business savvy?

    • I agree with your assessment. Ramona benefits from the housewives, but now that she’s launched her own jewelry line and cosmetics line, she doesn’t need the show like Jill does who hasn’t done anything. I mean, writing a crappy book doesn’t count! Kelly is trying to use her “fame” to advertise her charitableness and launch her jewelry line. LOL! Not doing too good there. 😛

  58. MickeyMouth says:

@boston02127 – I posted some info re Kelly’s charitable giving on the previous blog, but I don’t think you saw it. Here’s the link to my post: https://lynnnchicago101.wordpress.com/2010/06/25/i-hate-jill-zarin-real-housewives-of-ny-lost-footage-june-25-2010/#comment-28092

    • Thanks for the links MickeyMouth. There are nothing up at the moment for sale, but the 4 jewelry ended auctions didn’t sale. Does she need money that much that she can’t donate 100% to charity?

      • Squirrels says:

She could give 100% and still come out on top, IF she donates 100% of the net vs. gross. The desktop jelly bellies would be a legitimate business expense at that point. Plus her salary…. Plus her private car…. Plus her personal ankle lojack gps system so she can find her way to her daughters’ school … oh and home.

No doubt the list goes on.

      • MickeyMouth says:

I think she now sells most of her stuff on her website (with no mention of charity that I can find at her store). She does provide a link to her empty eBay store where partial proceeds go to charity. But yeah, 10% on a less than $200 item. 50% on items under $100. And, she only sold 26 items. I can raise more money throwing a beef and beer at the local VFW hall and no one has ever called me a tastemaker.

At least EBay monitors charitable contributions through Mission Fish, her site provides a link to PayPal to make a donation but how exactly is she influencing the donations? I mean I can supply this blog with at least 15 links to PayPal where you can donate to various causes does that make me more charitable?

I tell you one thing her website is the definition of vain. Dozens of pictures of her posing. It’s sad.

        • WindyCityWondering says:

That’s it! She does everything so she can have her picture taken! She misses being a model so much she will lend her name to anything as long as there is a photo shoot involved. How charitable!

  59. error 404 says:

hey, who’s this in the skinny girl smart car with B?

  60. HD says:

I get what you are saying in the blog Lynn, however, I do not like Luann and her constant digs. She has done this since she has been on the show so I think it is a part of her personality which I find very unbecoming. Just say what you want to say and don’t pick, pick, pick all the time. The Countless does not get a pass from me. I still don’t like her and her need to poke at people with underhanded compliments and digs.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

@HD I have to agree – she has always been into judging, correcting, backhanded compliments – she’s got a bad case of the I’m better than you, therefore I can do all of the above!

    • LynnNChicago says:

Hi HD! I apologize if you got the impression that I like Luann in any way shape or form, because I don’t at all! 🙂 I tried to be fair and gave her credit when it was due (very little) but I would be quite happy to never see her and her condesending ways ever again!

      • Gypsy says:

Amen. From the first time I saw this woman the phrase “pretentious bitch” came to mind and my mind has never changed. She adds nothing to the show, imo, and is very boring. Bravo may have her back but only because she has a title, as phoney and pathetic as it is.

        • WindyCityWondering says:

IMO the only reason she was casted was because she had a title.

          • error 404 says:

No. A fat ugly Countess with even a legitimate title would not have been cast. Lulu is a former model and TV presenter. Her ability to dish out unsolicited advice, none of which she herself follows is Reality TV gold. Combine all that with her lacksidasical mothering skills and penchant for spending more time out drinking with the girls than tending her home and she’s got Bravo Real Housewife written all over her! lol

      • error 404 says:

I’d miss Lulu! Once I compare her to anyone to any other HW from the other shows, and I think losing her would be a comedic tragedy. Same with Ramonacoaster.

  61. error 404 says:

    seems appropriate for today!

  62. Someone posted a link to a new article interview with Alex and she says that Jill doesn’t have anything else besides the show so that’s why Jill has all that time available to her to plot her schemes. The article also stated that Alex was writing a book about the dark side of the housewives shows, but I’m not sure if that was in reality or a joke.

Can anyone help me find that article link again? TIA! 🙂

I don’t want to register with them to post my comments because it will be the last time I click on one of their loser articles! God they must really love Jill (because she paying Mike V or she is blackmailing him!) Anywho here is my comment to the hater!

I should have known not to click on this blog – this is truly one of Jill Zarin’s morons trying to destroy Bethenny once again! I should really look closely at which article I am going to click on to read! Whoever the hater is that is writing this stupid blog should really get a sense of humor! God it’s her first season – she is nervous, pregnant (hormones duh), getting married (stressful duh), and very busy trying to run a business! What do you what her to be – a boring dumb unicorn sunshine and roses moron like clueless Kelly? Or do you want her to be a fake liar like your pal Jill Zarin? I find Bethenny very entertaining – I will surely be watching – flaws and all! Now you go have lunch with kookoo Kelly and Jealous Jill while we bust a gust laughing and having fun as Bethenny Frankel entertains us with her wit!!!! Now just because you pissed me off – I sent my husband to buy a couple bottles of B’s skinny girl margaritas!

Every time I see Jill, I think of Gloria Swanson’s “All right Mr. Demille, I’m ready for my closeup.” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOLypkY8LMc

I don’t know how many of you have seen it, but it’s a classic.

    • Quincy IL says:

You are so correct with that comparison.

The photo of Jill on her facebook page is beautiful. She looks like a movie star. She said it was untouched, but it seems like a different person in that photo.

      • desertgal66 says:

Well…it is a very good portrait. Whoever the photographer was, he did a fine job. And he may very well have only done a light retouching, if he did any.

BUT, looking at the portrait objectively, a) Jill has enough makeup troweled onto her face that it would take an infrared camera to find her real face underneath; b) the portrait was shot with a diffused lens of some type; and c) Jill is backlit with diffused lighting.

All of which certainly helps to hide any flaws. Even Gloria could look…well, not good, but human at least, with all that going on.

Oh, and a portion of the sale of her song goes to children with cancer. What portion? Half? 10%?

She’s not my favorite character, but I’m hoping Sonja can bring her down a little.

  72. Lynn, where’s the poll you tweeted about? I clicked on the link, but it took me to my dashboard. Guess the link isn’t working right.

Somebody watching DESIGN STAR in HGTV?

They just show ZARIN FABRICS! But they did not buy there…

    • boston02127 says:

@cusi–Did Jill jump out from behind a bolt of fabric and yell BUY MY BOOK, AND GET A FREE KEYCHAIN!

    • Jules says:

cusi77 – Two weeks in a row they have shown the front of the Zarin Fabric Store on Design Star. I would guess that Jill offered them some kind of a deal on fabrics to try and recoup the business they have lost from her running her mouth, and alienating everyone on the face of the earth. I would give her a dime of my money after her atrocious behavior this season.

      • Quincy IL says:

I noticed that also. It won’t make me run to Zarin’s for fabric though.

It seems the people from flyover country are dropping like flies in “Design Star.” We must not have sophisticated taste.

Off topic. I was shoveling the stall in the barn and thinking about “Class.” I decided that I am a higher class than Jill and I was filling wheelbarrels of manure. What does that say about my opinion of Jill Zarin?

        • kats2 says:

I Apologize in advance for the rant and this is not directed at anyone here. It’s just that term “Fly Over” bothers me. I really do not like that term “Fly Over” states, country whatever. I can’t stand snobs who have no clue but are quick to judge it. It’s all the fly over states that keep the magazine and companies in business LA and NYC can’t do it alone. I think people should be proud of where they live and where they came from (I am) and I think it’s a shame when people mock other places because it’s different or simply because it’s not a fashion capital. Most of time I find it’s people who have never even experienced other places and are not well traveled that make these comments. I’ve been lucky to have traveled many places throughout the world and I’ve learned not to judge or discount a place before actually experiencing it for myself. I agree Fashion is amazing, but it’s a small part of life and if you really want to judge fashion go to Europe, it makes NYC look lame.

          • error 404 says:

Is that a mid-west term? In the NE, the states are all so small, we use “drive thru states”. I do agree with you. Someday I am going to stop in Delaware and check it out. I swear.

OT but i love the map of the US. It’s like an art project that someone started on the right, all detailed and small scale and complicated. Then as time was running out the states keep getting bigger and more regular until finally, with the deadline looming, by the time they got out west it’s just huge squares thrown on the page. lol

            • kats2 says:

My understanding is that some NYC and LA snobs created the term and it was used to describe all the places they wouldn’t lower themselves to visit. You know that attitude of NYC and LA were the only 2 places in the US that mattered.

Parts of it were funny. I’m surprised Jill and LuAnn joined in the food fight, but hey, not their clothes, so why not. Kelly came across with all the excitement of a floor lamp, but not so bright. And was that a poppy seed stuck in Ramona’s tooth? Otherwise, all the yammering gave me a headache.

      • dickens says:

I noticed that about Kelly, too. And she’s supposed to be so much fun and so spontaneous. Knowing they were going to film a food fight, she couldn’t think of anything to do but stand there holding that stupid piece of paper (recipe card?) in front of herself.

I hope she doesn’t return. Honestly, she adds nothing to anything.

        • WindyCityWondering says:

agreed! Kelly looked like a stick figure – she wanted to model in front of the camera – she kept trying her various face poses while everyone else was having fun with the shoot. Loser!

        • emt2 says:

I thought that Kelly was more reserved because that was when her domestic abuse arrest became public. Ramona went up to Bethenny and started gossiping about Kelly and the arrest during the shoot.

It’s interesting to see dynamics. Luann is really annoying and she likes to hog the camera. I don’t think she was happy being next to Kelly in the photo.

Jill and Ramona have a strange relationship. Why was Jill whispering in Ramona’s ear as if they were in middle school?

Alex definitely had the most things thrown on her during the food fight.

    • Jenni says:

Jill definately pours that pile of flour on Alex, and I am not sure but I think she is aiming at her with the pie as well. Hmmm.

      Bethenny – second to Luann
Jill – so the ugly duckling of the group
      Alex – looked awkward
      Kelly – a total bore
Ramona – thank god she got her hair cut and stop doing that one side up deal

And below the “Kelly is a man” story, this gem, from within a story on “which Bravo characters can carry a show?”

Jill Zarin seems to think she has enough “star power” to carry her own show, which is the underlying reason for her complete, all-consuming jealousy of Bethenny. But really, what does she do except cause drama, wear ugly clothes and sell fabric? Not to mention the fact that we’ve seen enough dog shit to last a lifetime!

@twoile–PSP is Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. It is rare brain movement disorder caused by damage to certain nerve cells in the brain. It is very hard to detect in a person. You can have PSP for years before any symptoms begin to show. The first symptoms are usually falling. People with PSP tend to fall backwards. Patients with PSP lose their eyesight, mobility, have trouble swallowing, have very bad balance and lose their speech. The disease progresses very fast. A high percent of people with PSP usually lose the battle because of lung infections due to the problems with swallowing. There is no cure for PSP.

Lynn, The new banner is great. I saw someone suggest it and it speaks volumes about you that you recognized a great idea and gladly embraced it. You’d never fit in on the right hand couch! Good for you! AND, yes, thanks for never using “the title”. The ‘title” is inappropriate and ….yes, oh wait, what did the French do about their ” nobility” some time back….hmmmm, let me think. Titles can’t buy you class either. Hey sounds like a great follow-up song. Titles can’t buy you claa-ass, titles can’t buy you cla-a-ass, everybody’s s#*t smells,…..the same!

  81. Squirrels says:

So Lynn, which shows do you plan to blog? I can’t keep reliving NY for umpteen months. The new ones are upon us, and I don’t want to fall behind.

    Help me Obiwan, help me…..

    • LynnNChicago says:

Top Chef, and Bethenny’s Getting Married? for sure. Try as I might I can’t seem to stay away from RHONJ. I haven’t seemed to be able to get into the Art Show, but Possibly Double Exposure, the photography show may become interesting. We’ll see what else Bravo has to offer.
Big Brother is starting next month and I’ve done the final word on two of the seven NY housewives, so the remaining ladies will be fillers in between blogs about all of the other shows. Any other suggestions?

      • Squirrels says:

How bout Kathy Griffin: My lIfe on the D List. It’s a complete romp. Kathy’s attempts at climbing the celeb ladder are pretty funny.

Yes, Kathy is crass and abrasive, but she sees the world with a keen eye. Her insight is refreshing and makes me laugh out loud. The kiddie beauty pageant was a hoot particularly when she got runway tips from the 4 year olds.

      • Laurie in Detroit says:

It doesn’t HAVE to be a Bravo show, does it? MadMen starts up again in late July. How about that one Lynn? VERY juicy.

    • desertgal66 says:

I vote for Lynn blogging about Top Chef and BGM. RHoNJ-well, if Lynn blogs about the stupidity of that show, I’ll gladly read it, but I won’t miss it if she doesn’t.

I’ll also throw in my vote for Flipping Out, because I think that would be a fun show to blog about.

And if Jackie Warner has a new show, I’d like to see Lynn blog about that. It irritates me that Bravo appears to have offered her a new program after her nasty remarks about the cancer survivor last year, and her attempt to make her assistant take all the blame. So, I’m hoping Lynn will take her future show to task, because Warner really doesn’t deserve any second chances.

  82. TLM says:

So funny you picked this photo of JZ for your banner — I was just watching one of the reunion episodes last night & thinking this should be the image!! I got so sick of JZ feigning innocence and making this face each time, only to then turn around and admit she did exactly what she was accused of, and make the obligatory apology to Bethenny and no one else.

I thought it was funny that Double Exposure has been advertised like crazy on Bravo, but that no one in the last couple weeks (that I saw, anyhow) had mentioned it on the blogs. Personally, whenever I see those ads or ads for Work of Art, I mentally tune out. It just doesn’t interest me at all. Those two on Double Exposure remind me of the Miami Social crowd (maybe that’s how they came to Bravo – wasn’t one woman on Miami Social a photog?) and I feel the same way about Work of Art that I felt about the interior design show Bravo did, a waste of my time. (And I *like* interior design!!!). I felt all of the judges on that show were pretentious as hell and carried away with their own importance, especially that nutbag who was fond of wearing ball gowns on top of jeans or t-shirts. Wasn’t her name Kelly, too?!?!??? She always looked like she was just let out of a mental hospital.

    • Ellabean says:

Oh TLM – – Great summation of that old interior design show on Bravo. I thought the exact same thing – – hated it ! – – and I also love interior design !

And agreed – totally tuning out that art show – – – absolutely no appeal for me from those commercials.

      • Ellabean says:

Wait – and what was the saying they used when they eliminated an interior designer….” you’re designs aren;t good enough” or something like that ? What was t now ? It was soooo hokey – ‘ala “pack your knives and go”.

Hey – wouldn’t it be a hoot to have Andy Cohen eliminate Kelly next season and say: ” Take your crazy and go”.

To Jill: ” Take the hole in your chest where your soul should be and leave !”

  84. AlternateReality says:

I think she is doing it for the hamptons…I’d rather see Luann do it if they need a housewife.

    • vilzvet says:

There were photos of her today in Newsday, our Long Island paper. Wearing that hideous long sleeve black shirt thing in 90-degree weather holding the LX microphone with that JWoww person, in addition to shots of Luann, Nick Cannon and Randy Jackson at the same charity event.

      • Olivia says:

This is her whole reason for being. She actually thinks of herself as some important celebrity with a “fanbase” dedicated to following her every insignificant move. She will go wherever the spotlight is located just for the opportunity to get herself on t.v.

Obnoxious does not quite due her justice since it is so overworked in trying to describe her behavior. The only punishment is for someone to pull the plug on her microphone for keeps. As bad as she is now, one can only imagine how she would behave if her level of “fame” grew bigger. All out of proportion to say the least!

Just watching her on that clip where they gathered to throw food, her mouth had to be the one heard, her instructions followed, her jaws working overtime to be noticed. That clip was several years old yet the “real Jill”, demanding the camera be on her for the majority of the time is what fed her belief that she indeed was the “standout star”. Pathetic.

    • AlternateReality says:

      eat me.

    • Jules says:

Now watch how this works so you can educate Jill. You make your comment – we are grownups here, so we let it stand and it doesn’t even bother us. Lynn does not feel the need to delete comments from people that either don’t like her, or agree with her. She is a grownup too.

Lynn doesn’t chose to have a blog that pretends to have a fan base it doesn’t have, nor does she need to delete the negatives comments, or makeup fake names for herself, and post fake reviews.

Do you think Jill is smart enough to grasp this? Do you think Jill has the ability to do the right thing? Do you think Jill can possibly keep her mouth shut when she knows it is the smart thing to do? Time will tell, but I don’t think the answer to any of these questions is YES.

    • tuzentswurth says:

I didn’t have time to read all the replies yet, but Lynn, since you mentioned Big Brother, I might be watching it too.
I see that it starts on July 8.

I quit watching it years ago, but since Comcast took my Bravo away.
(unless I add another appliance to my tv)-
I only get about 5 stations and CBS is one of them.
I like that it is in “real time”–and I may even try the 24-7 online thing that they have.
They have a free trial of that so I’ll definitely try it.
Who knows? maybe I’ll get so wrapped-up in it that I end-up chipping-in on a banner plane?
Is anyone else thinking about watching BB?

    • Char212 says:

I’d love to participate with other BB fans.

  89. Jules says:

Based upon what I saw this season, I don’t believe that at the heart of her, Luann has really changed – she is still self-centered, and when ever possible makes every situation about herself. While I agree that it is true that Luann’s attitude has changed, I do not believe that it really signals a change in who she is down to the core of her being. It is easy to be nicer when you are happy, but what really defines a person is who they are when the chips are down. She is still petty, and pretentious, and I think it masks an underlying lack of self confidence, and self esteem. For me to perceive a real change in LuAnn, she has alot more work to do.

Even at the Reunion show when asked about the proper etiquette regarding placing people on speaker phone, while she was able to admit that it is proper to let the caller know they are on speaker phone; unfortunately, I think she was only able to do so, because she felt that Jill was bearing 100% of the responsibility for that choice. Yet, we see repeatedly through the season that Luann eavesdrops on conversations, inserts herself in situations that are really none of her business, and in general is a busy body. In short, I do not believe that anything has really changed in Luann, it is simply a matter of a few things having changed in Luann’s circumstances.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

IMO Jill threw LuAnn under the bus about Alex’s boys behavior (climbing up a producer’s leg) so LuAnn threw her right back by not admitting she prompted Jill not to tell Bethenny that she was there while Jill had her on speaker phone. Someone with real class would have admitted her part in that juvenile phone scene.

    • error 404 says:

Nope, she didn’t change. None of them did really, we just perhaps got to know them a little better. For all her ReNual talk, Ramona is still exactly as she always was. Good point about it being easy to be nice when you’re happy. R has never once really had a down turn in 3 years, and let me tell ya, if this is her when happy, I’m scared to see her when the chips are down. Yikes!

      • Olivia says:

Agreed. I always see Ramona as one step away from hysteria. If she has a disagreement with someone she has a difficult time keeping her tongue under control and lashes out in a most unflattering way to make her point.

To me, she has always been a minor league Jill, willing to stomp on anyone who she feels threatens her position or who may get in her way. Pump her up on the Pinot Grigio and she you have a tiger by the tail.

    • Laurie in Detroit says:

And why the heck didn’t Andy call her out on that? Andy went way too easy on Luanne. I was waiting for him to say “well the audience is just sayin’, Countess, that you wrote a book on etiquette and you’re always calling everybody else out on bad manners, and you yourself did some despicable things this season. What say you, hmm???” I wanted to see her squirm a little, and it didn’t happen!

  90. anutha hata says:

If I really wanted to, it would be simple to get the machine to watch Bravo, but since the train wreck known as RHONJ, and the hot mess of RHONY, and after thinking about it, I don’t even want to be tempted to watch DC.
1)- These are not real people.
2)- They don’t even do a good job of imitating real people.
3)- Their membership in the human race is even questionable.
4)-The continuing display of ostentatious, no matter what the cost, is disgusting.
(I got sucked into that with our girls from Atlanta. -with the ridiculous that is Kim. Too bad they got rid of the only woman of that group who was at least trying to really be philanthropic, and they made a joke out of her efforts.)
5)-Yeah-the “money” thing just bugs the heck outta me. The last straw is the beast known as Teresa, and the pig that goes by Danielle. I think that Kendra & The Kardashians are gorgeous eye-candy, but that’s all an illusion also, since I discovered that they all use the same fake eyelashes & make-up artist & for about 15 dollas I can buy my own eyelashes from Steven Moleski who does all their make-up.
I just don’t want to support the “illusion” of wealth, which is just a throw-back to what sent this country into the current financial trouble. What they are depicting is not where I want to be mentally, or financially. (doing whatever you have to do in order to maintain the illusion of having $$ to throw-away on designer crap. That stuff is not important to me and it never has been. Wicked witch Jill and her attempt to make a watch a status symbol capped that off for me–who wears watches anymore?).
-the only style-thing that I have taken-away from ALL of my HW-viewing, that I didn’t already know, is something I learned from Sonja-the “pillow-chop”, and the fake eyelash thing from Kim in Atlanta, (another of Moleski’s clients).
The fact that the Housewives franchise does not have even one HW that I can think-of, who I would consider “thrifty”, or “frugal”, is the bottom-line, although the words money-grubbing, cheap, whoreish fits more than one.
Yeah I know its “entertainment”, but making home-makers, women & mothers, all appear to be foolish, (at best), gets old after awhile.
I still have hopes for Bethenny! So, I’ll catch-up with her on a marathon some time, and if they get rid of Jill & Kelly I may return for season IV.
Well-I guess I wrote my manifesto here.
The real test will be tonight, will I be able to avoid watching NJ? Just thinking about giving Bravo another set of eyeballs to affirm their decision to promote the likes of Danielle & Teresa, will help my choice.

Something I’ve been thinking about bringing up here.
The fact that Lynn has not monetised this blog.
            Is her business.
And, making it “non-profit”, as far as I know, also keeps her far far from the harms-way of lawsuits.
Not that I have anything against Lynn monetising, just that I do understand that it would increase her risk, but I don’t have a problem with her earning for putting-up with us.
(and I know the numbers change).
            And again-it IS Lynn’s perogative..
BUT-I know that on my measly little Blogspot, I am owed about 4 dollars from Google Adsense right now.
Of course I won’t see a cent, until I reach the ten dollar threshhold.
I have, according to Google, about 6500 views.
Using that as a ballpark, I’d say that Lynn could hit the ten dollar payout threshold in about two days.
(some days she gets 10,000 visits)
So-another ballpark, but underestimating, I’d guess that at minimum, using adsense, Lynn’s site could generate at least twenty-five bucks a week in Adsense.
IF Lynn ever gets the chance or inclination to run ads here on a NON-PROFIT basis, (they would not have to be “non-profit” ads, the revenue could be donated to a non-profit)…
I would like to suggest that this condition that Boston’s mom has, would be a really worthwhile cause to donate-to?
Or, even a scholorship fund for Boston, or families affected?
It sounds pretty much like an “orphan”-disease, more than cancer, which really does get a lot of support, and why I haven’t mentioned it here before..
OK-I’m rambling & babbling, but Lynn if you have a chance or questions about Adsense etc. please comment.
I’ve been thinking about this for awhile, and for the record, I did lose a family member myself to a brain disease, and these diseases could use some help in research.

Kelly is not just a skank and crazy but mean and nastly also….due to some outsized jealousy. So suprising that she doesn’t realize how ugly that makes her appear.

Saw Guillianna with kelly and her feather line. The line was layed out on a table and looked ridiculous. I am being serious. She is selling a single huge ostrich and crystal earring for 100.

This is stuff one can make oneself. On lower broadway, there are several stores with jewelry fixin’s and beads, feathers, crystals. What is she thinking? 13. I may have more money than God, but I know where I came from and eat thrifty from a toaster oven.
        14. Love who you are. Fuck the haterz.

Wow I really like Sonja! She tells it like it is and with elegance and you can tell she is very smart. Sonja is the one who should write a book on class, she talks the talk and walks the walk. I’d buy it.

    • Sonja is a class act. She sure did put Jill and Kelly in their place.

Thank heaven that I am not in the same market that broadcasts this show as I would be pulling out my hair by the fistful having to endure that horrid voice talking over and interrupting everybody she is “interviewing”. Like a cat in heat.

With her book, she was imitating Bethenny. With the t.v. gig she is imitating her sister in CT who has a daily radio broadcast. With her jewelry buying she is imitating that awful Vicki from the OC franchise. She is a study in imitation.

Please, someone yank that microphone out of the hands of Jill Zarin before we all go crazy!

  95. kats2 says:

Totally off topic – Good God the real news is very depressing I just can’t read it.
It’s nice to have this on-line place we can come and chat.

Check out this tidbit from our fav gal at hamptons.com; doesn’t she just sound so very busy (and gag-worthy)??

“Would you ever consider doing your own television show without the other girls?

I have been approached by a few production companies about my own talk show. I just signed with CAA and they are helping me figure out what is next for me. I like being on a show but also enjoy behind the scenes. I am working on a few TV pilots, am the Brand Ambassador for Kodak, writing a book, buidling a newsletter forum for special sales and events (sign up for my newsletter at jillzarin.com), working with
chictini.com on a fashion social network and so many other projects I can’t talk about yet. Everyone says I should have my own talk show and might consider one after Ally goes to college, though Bobby wants to travel so we have to see if I can do both.

Are you happy that Bethenny has a boyfriend and has a bestselling book out because you seem to root for everyone to be happy?

No one is happier for Bethenny than me except maybe Gloria? We (my family) root for all the people we love! “

  97. AlternateReality says:

Not for anything, on the food fight clip. jill talks about branding herself…

    That went up in smoke!

And talk about loud and crass. She takes the cake.

  98. AlternateReality says:

the comments on jill’s blog are so obviously written by her. One says how wonderful she is for putting Ramona’s poor behavior behind her and going on with the friendship.

    This woman is a pitbull.

  99. Just saw a tweet that Bethenny now has 200,536 followers. Jill Zarin 81,484.

Jill blew her chance to ride any coattails for sure! Infamy is forever Jill.

    • Jenni says:

Most of those are probably just folks that want to see what outrageous stuff she comes up with next….

      • That’s what I was thinking too Jenni! LOL! Jill’s facebook is roughly 40 to 50 thousand (haven’t looked in a while). And many of those are just keeping track of her shenanigans.
