I Hate Jill Zarin Big Brother / Project Runway July 30, 2010
Rachel is acting like an idiot, she is upset because she thinks that Andrew and Brenden worked some sort of deal behind her back. Brenden actually told her he loved her in order to calm her down (I can only assume he was trying to calm her down and didn’t really mean he loved her) Rachel isn’t buying it, she goes back to talking about game play and tells him that he’s playing with fire. Based on her fake hair color, she may be right. Kathy is playing on everyone’s emotion telling them that she barely has enough food to feed her family? Could Kathy be playing the group I mean, she’s a Deputy Sheriff, and while that may not pay a fortune, she should be comfortable.
Andrew starts to cry, has no one to talk to and feels like the outsider. He can’t take it anymore and starts to scream at Kristin. Andrew says, “don’t play me like a fiddle, I know you’re playing me, don’t do it anymore”. Andrew starts shit with Kristin, what an idiot! Andrew says Kristin is digging her grave and to be careful. Andrew is the one digging his own grave, apparently the pressure has really gotten to Andrew. The Brigade is talking about voting Kathy out because Andrew is putting himself in danger and that may take the heat off of them. Leaving Andrew in the house will make him the next target by whoever the next HOH may be. Particularly if it is Rachel or Brenden win HOH.
Big Brother interviews Matt’s wife about his lie – Matt told everyone that his wife was ill, a bone condition. His wife says that she was extremely upset and shocked, and doesn’t agree with his decision to use this lie for sympathy. His wife says he isn’t evil but I think he is evil. Kathy talks about how malicious it is to lie about a loved one being sick or dying and Matt vocally agrees with her. This guy is sick and I think he needs to be kicked out of the house as soon as possible. I so wish that he would be found out and even his buddy’s in the Brigade turn against him in the end!
Matt calls Hayden the weak link in the Brigade, he does say he thinks that Hayden and Kristin may have something going on or may be the longtime friends. It is time for the eviction voting and both nominees are allowed to plead their case to stay in the house. Kathy says she loves all of her houseguests, she talks about her family, her job, integrity and loyalty. Andrew completely lost his mind and starts to talk very quickly telling everyone’s secrets. Hayden and Kristin are snuggling under the blankets when they think no one is around, he mentions almost every name with some sort of comment and basically Andrew just took himself out.
All Eight houseguests vote for Andrew to be evicted from the Big Brother house, when talking to Julie, she asks him why he didn’t use the information that he had about Hayden and Kristin to try to get their votes, the light bulb goes off and he realizes that is exactly what he should have done but he never thought of it. Andrew is a doctor? What was this guy thinking? He went off on absolutely everyone in the room. He offended or outted every single person. I swear Big Brother manages to find the biggest idiots every year. Everyone hugs Kathy, she’s staying and they now all need to get ready for a competition.
The Head of Household competition results in Rachel, once again being HOH, another week of that voice like nails on a chalkboard! It will be interesting to see if she targets Matt even though she promised not to put him on the block.
The 17 designers are immediately put to the challenge upon arrival. The designers aren’t allowed to even see where they will be staying or put their suitcases away and there’s a very good reason for that.
They’re instructed that their first challenge will eliminate one or more designers immediately. They are told by Heidi to open their cases and take out one garment that will be used in their very first design. They will have only 5-hours to utilize this garment in their first design. As always with Project Runway, there is a twist, they have to pass their garment on to the person next to them and utilize their cast mate’s garment rather than their own.
Mood has come to the designers rather than the other way around for this challenge which is a great change in that there is no budget, they’re able to choose anything they want to use from the fabrics available. Casanova stood out to me right away as he chose the pants out of his suitcase that apparently cost him over $1,000. Why would someone choose those knowing that you were going to have to utilize the fabric for another garment? What the hell is with this guy’s little boy neck tie? If this guy is knocked out after the first challenge having given up his ridiculously expensive pants, I will feel a tad bit sorry for him.
Peach Cobb is the oldest designer at 51 years old and is actually a neighbor of mine, (although I don’t know her personally) she is from Lake Forest Illinois which is just a hop, skip and a jump from my home, Lake Forest is the home of the Chicago Bears training camp and some very famous sports legends live there, in fact it is the hometown of the late Walter Payton, as well as Michael Jordan and Mike Ditka. Located on the North Shore of Lake Michigan it is one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the Chicago area.
Kudos to Peach for following her dream at any age and making the cut onto Project Runway. I hope she does well! I don’t think that Tim was being fair by giving Peach all of the help he did, in fact, he basically told her how to deal with the challenging fabric that she ended up having to work with for her design.
The most annoying thing about some of these designers is when they interview about how poorly their peers are doing. When they mention the fact that they should be ok in the challenge because they feel that one or more of their peers are worse than they are is a cop out! Your design should stand on its own and not just be better than the worst one there. That is no way to win Project Runway!
While Heidi threatened that there may be more than one, McKell was the only one sent home in the end and I totally did not feel that was fair, I thought her dress was cute, it certainly wasn’t the best in the crowd but it was better than some. There was the unfinished, threads hanging outfit that should have been thrown off the runway!
I sometimes wish that Project Runway would bring back some of the designers who may have been eliminated prematurely, there seems to be so many of them that stick out in my mind. Maybe a whole season of 2nd chances would be a good idea?
Tim Gunn seems to completely disagree with the judges choice as well, he told her it was cute in the workroom. I feel that sometimes Tim gets a tad too overzealous while visiting the designers. He clearly helped Peach and in past seasons I believe he may have been partially responsible for some designers going home. His role is really unclear and I think that sometimes he takes it upon himself to say too much. I really do love Tim Gunn, I just don’t like it when he seems to change the outcome of the challenge. His comments have caused designers to completely scrap their project and start over, would they have done that if Tim hadn’t given his strong opinion? Maybe, maybe not. And so begins another season of Project Runway…
The next to last episode of Bethenny’s Getting Married aired last night and will be the subject of my next blog. For now I’ll just say, I loved it! SOB!
Until Next Time…….
