I Hate Jill Zarin Real Housewives of DC – Finale Watch What Happens Live

Do you suppose the Salahi’s keep a diary of their lies so that right before they’re interviewed they can go back and check their “notes”? Just the way Jill writes down who owes her and when someone forgets to call her on her birthday, Michaele writes down each story like a …um I don’t know, maybe notes for a future novel? She keeps her notes and refers to them regularly so that they become the only truth in her pretty little Barbie doll head. The facts and the truth are no longer her reality, she’s brainwashed by her notes and her husband.
This couple no doubt skirted the system somehow. There is more to the story, a White House social secretary lost her job and the White House hasn’t officially closed the book on this incident.

Another first for Bravo’s housewives series, we actually see dates on the screen to show us the timeline of events through the aftermath of the gate crashing by the Salahi’s.

Unfortunately this entire episode was simply the reaction of the other housewives to this security breech. The wasted time watching the senate hearings was completely unnecessary, we’ve seen them plead the 5th for every question asked including the question, “are you here now today?” The reaction of Mary, Lynda and Cat was predictable and there was no need for us to see it.

Perhaps not so predictable was Paul Wharton and his two cents. He attempted to support Michaele Salahi while putting the entire blame on Tareq Salahi. As the group watched the senator finally turning his questions to Michaele, Paul seemed to think that this would be the perfect moment for her to disassociate herself with her husband and throw all of the blame on him. Sorry Paul, I hope someday you can get married if only to figure out yourself that Michaele could not possibly have chosen that moment to ask her husband for a divorce. I do love that Paul gave his insight into Lynda who married into money while judging Michaele who did the same yet choses not to wait tables to support herself.

I don’t think she wants to disassociate herself with him anyway, this woman is clearly enjoying the ride this man has introduced her to since marrying him. Whether she is aware of the extent of his sham life that he’s dragged her into is irrelevant, she is there, taking part and living the same faux life that he is living!

This couple seems to think that last night’s episode completely cleared their name and showed that they were, in fact, invited to the White House. We watched as the person at the first checkpoint scrambled in front of the cameras to find their names on the list, best we can tell, their names were not found at this first checkpoint but they were sent through anyway. Possibly this person at the first checkpoint was intimidated and convinced by the cameras and by their wardrobe that the Salahi’s were, in fact, supposed to be there. Hoping that if this were not the case, they would be caught at one of the next four checkpoints?

Many people who have been to the White House have declared that it is impossible to crash the White House based on the stringent security process, yet do not release the Salahi’s as innocent either. Having never been to the White House, I have to assume that this couple knew the process and that those phone calls and emails between them and Michelle Jones, who was later asked to resign her position at the White House, were not sufficient to allow them access to this State Dinner.

I do not think, as the Salahi’s do, that this episode completely cleared their name, if that were the case, why wasn’t this footage released to Congress as they investigated this gate crashing? This is an embarrassment to the United States, to the Secret Service and to President Barak Obama. Not one apology from these two morons, even if they truly think that they did nothing wrong, do they not owe apologies to President Obama, the people of the United States and Cat Ommanney?

As a result of this incident, Cat was uninvited to the White House Christmas Party, an event she was obviously looking forward to and her mere association by way of Bravo was a disaster for the rest of the cast! Cat’s husband is an official White House photographer for Newsweek and was embarrassed by this incident. The White House doesn’t care that this couple weren’t friendly with the Salahi’s, the fact remains that they’re all cast mates. Cat’s husband Charles publically announced that he completely regrets his involvement in this show.

If Lynda, Mary or Stacie had any aspirations of meeting President Obama or being invited to any event at the White House, they can kiss them goodbye! Life is a trade off, they do get to be Bravo Housewives but will never be guests at a White House function. I hope this season was worth it, because a Season Two of this series is still not been confirmed and most likely won’t be confirmed for a while, if at all.

Michaele’s behavior at Stacie and Jason’s home was a bit like a hyperactive rat in a small cage, she was up she was down she was putting her coat on she was flipping out! The fact that she wouldn’t even entertain for one moment telling her “friends” the Turners how she feels and what has gone on is a good indication of guilt in my book. She claims to have been instructed to remain silent by her attorney. Too bad her attorney didn’t tell her not to crash the White House because she listens well to this attorney.

I was disappointed in Jason’s behavior, he was a bit two-faced calling Cat rude after she left the house, and telling the Salahi’s that it was best that she left. Yet after the Salahi’s left he welcomed Cat back in supporting her completely. What was the goal of the Turners inviting the Salahi’s to their home in the first place? They were clearly disgusted by this incident, yet they invited them claiming they were not going to attack the Salahi’s. The Turners were curious, they wanted to discuss what happened, get the Salahi’s side of the story or this was all set up for Bravo’s cameras? It was obvious that Michaele and Tareq were not going to say one word about what happened, even though Jason tells us that it seemed as though Tareq wanted to talk about it, I disagree, he is too calculating and devious to spill it while the cameras were rolling.

The Turner’s had no intention of spending the evening talking about their decor, their trip to Paris or the welcoming fire. They merely brought up the subject of the White House crashing a bit more subtly than Cat did, but they wanted answers just like the rest of the country. Jason was honest enough to tell Tareq Salahi that he had a scarlet letter on his chest and that he has brought shame onto the Salahi name. Having none of it the Salahi’s completely disagree and prepare to leave, since the angry Cat remained out in front of the house talking on the phone with Lynda, the Salahi’s slinked out the back door.

Jason’s parting words to the Salahi’s are “think about what I said” (regarding their shame) which was a bit of a joke, as we know the Salahi’s have no intention of thinking about Jason Turners words or in fact anything that the Turners had to say.

Unlike the other Housewives series, this group is slow to update their blogs and as of this morning, only the one who has something to prove has posted a blog. Michaele takes this final opportunity in her blog to talk about the “incident”, you know , the one that she was instructed not to speak about. The other ladies only posted their blogs about last week’s show a few days ago so they’re running about 5-6 days behind.

The scene including Cat and her husband Charles was uncomfortable, there is tension you can almost see on screen as they discussed the Salahi’s stunt and how it affected Cat and Charles. I doubt that this incident alone ended their marriage, but I’m sure it didn’t help to solidify their relationship. It is clear that Charles is much more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it, and is hesitant to say anything at all while wearing the microphone. It is sad to watch a marriage crumbling.

This was a disappointing series finale as each Housewife gets their obligatory final head shot with verbiage appearing on screen with a final few words revealing, well….nothing.

What an anti-climatic ending to Stacie’s story of the search for her father. We see a few words on the screen telling us that she has spoken to him on the phone and looks forward to meeting him someday. Really? That’s all we get? These damn Salahi’s took over the entire two final episodes and the rest of the housewives were resigned to taking a back seat, becoming second string, supporting cast to these two morons!

After the drama we watched as the Turners searched for Stacie’s birth father, we deserved more than a few words on the screen! It would have been nice to watch the reaction of the Turners when they finally got the information they were looking for and Stacie was able to speak to her father for the first time.

We learned nothing new last night watching this couple walk through one security checkpoint at the White House and clearly unimpressed, the investigation has not yet been closed by the White House. This may be one of those incidents that we never get a clear resolution, it could remain an open but dormant investigation simply because there is no way of resolving this issue. No criminal charges have been brought against the Salahi’s and most likely none will be forthcoming.
The good news is that this couple is still, after over a year, talking about their Winery Oasis re-opening but nothing happening. Tareq Salahi’s father passed away on Wednesday of this week and out of respect for this man’s death, the Salahi’s felt it was appropriate to appear on a cable television talk show hosted by Andy Cohen to discuss a reality television episode.

Watch What Happens Live

The Salahi’s open the supersized show (45 minutes as opposed to the usual 30 minutes) and not until the very end do they even mention Tareq Salahi’s father passing away less than 24 hours prior. Just when you thought that this couple couldn’t embarrass themselves any more than they already have, there they are sitting with Andy Cohen reading them questions off of little blue cards.

Cohen did ask Michaele Salahi about her claim of being a Redskins Cheerleader. She lied once again as she’s already been on Access Hollywood and thankfully Billy Bush has more balls than Andy Cohen and pushed the issue. After several follow up questions about the subject, Michaele finally admitted that she did some marketing and promotional activities for the Redskins Cheerleading organization and then was asked to join the alumni, as a PAYING member. This is something that I could do if I wanted to pay for it, anyone can! This is one of the ways the Cheerleading squad earns money for their expenses, travel, uniforms and incidentals needed by the Cheerleaders that the Redskins organization would rather not incur. As we learned in Chicago, the Honey Bears Cheerleaders were financially unsupported by the football organization and were forced to disband due to lack of funds. I would suspect the Redskins Cheerleaders find ways to raise money to support themselves and this alumni association is one of the ways to support themselves. Michaele Salahi paid for the right to be associated with the Redskins Cheerleaders and I’m sure that until the White House incident the alumni association was happy to have Bravo’s cameras there for added publicity.

Has anyone else noticed that Cohen doesn’t listen to the responses of his guests? As the guest is responding, he is flipping though his blue cards trying to find the next question to ask. Instead of listening and possibly throwing a follow up question or maybe just acknowledging what has been said, he’s on to the next idiotic question. I think they try to find the most inane questions to throw at these people. Not one mention of Michaele’s recent announcement that she suffers from Multiple Sclerosis for the past 17 years or how they feel about the resources the government were forced to use to investigate this situation, how about just an apology to Cat, who was banned from attending the White House Christmas party creating a lot of tension in her marriage? Anyone home Cohen???

Was there an agreement prior to this appearance by the Salahi’s regarding what can and can’t be discussed? Did this couple dictate the terms of this interview? It sure seemed like it! Not one mention of the bombshell dropped just days ago about the MS? That alone tells me that there was a previous discussion about what would and wouldn’t be asked. Why would Bravo and Andy Cohen agree to anything like that? The Salahi’s clearly wanted to be on Watch What Happens Live simply to be able to say that this episode cleared their name.

Personally, I would have much rather watched NeNe for the entire 45 minutes with a short statement made by Andy Cohen at the beginning, it would have gone something like this:

“The Salahi’s were invited here tonight to discuss the series The Real Housewives of DC and their part in the White House incident, however, they refused to discuss certain subjects and Bravo producers decided that we would not agree to their demands. Therefore the Salahi’s refused to appear here tonight”

Seriously, who needed who more last night? The Salahi’s were so desperate to get on television yet again that they appeared on this low rated show the day after they lost an immediate family member.
Michaele Salahi even hinted about another damn book that will provide more information about this White House incident. Really Michaele? Do you think we’re going to believe one word that comes out of your mouth from this point forward?

Apparently they’re also still desperate for money as the Salahi’s tried to sell their autographed photo on Ebay:

On to the fun! NeNe Leakes of the Real Housewives of Atlanta provided the comic relief for the evening, including the outfit that almost dared her breasts to fall right out of that dress. I just wanted to reach through the television screen and yank up that dress to bring her boobs up to the appropriate place on her body.

Attire aside, NeNe, much like Bethenny Frankel tells it like it is and holds nothing back, I absolutely adore that trait in Housewives and in fact all celebrities who appear on talk shows and spills the beans!
Andy Cohen, again, could do a better job of giving his guests a platform but he did attempt to get NeNe to give her true opinion of Kim Zolciak by playing her song, “Google Me” and revealing an old high school photo of Kim.

I honestly think that NeNe and Kim have made a private lifelong pact to not speak ill of each other because NeNe wasn’t biting, but NeNe was quick to talk about her newest nemesis, Phaedra Parks. Calling this new Atlanta housewife “Fakedra” and unladylike, we got confirmation of what we already knew, NeNe is not a fan. Nene tells us that while she did grow up in the same city as Phaedra, they did not attend school together or in fact even know each other back in Athens Georgia. Phaedra implied that the two of them knew one another pretty well in their childhood, NeNe disagrees.

Again Cohen could have explored that a bit more, asked about some of the other cast. I’m curious as to what NeNe thinks of the other newest Atlanta housewife, Cynthia. Reports that NeNe delayed Cynthia’s wedding by demanding hair and makeup prior to appearing at the nuptials could have been discussed. How does NeNe feel about the departure of Lisa Wu Hartwell? Is NeNe’s relationship with Kandi better than last season or does the tension continue into this season?

Rather than testing NeNe’s knowledge of celebrity noses, how about asking what fans want to hear NeNe talk about? Speaking of noses, there wasn’t any question that NeNe had a nose job but I don’t think that she was comfortable with Andy blurting it out that way when she hadn’t publically admitted to having it. Cohen has absolutely no couth or manners here, he throws NeNe to the wolves by catching her off guard with this subject. Yet he walks on egg shells with the Salahi’s?
I don’t think it was appropriate, women who have procedures done to improve their looks, or at least make them feel better about their looks have the right to privacy. Without prior mutual agreement of this topic, Cohen had no right to throw that out there. Even as Andy is asking NeNe to identify celebrity noses, it is clear that she’s uncomfortable and upset with Cohen for this indiscretion. It was completely unnecessary and almost seems as though it was meant to humiliate NeNe and it was uncomfortable for everyone, including the viewer.

We all know that Watch What Happens Live could have come up with some other stupid game for NeNe to play that didn’t involve this sensitive subject. Andy Cohen’s stock just keeps plummeting!
The self-indulgent Cohen chooses to give his Mazel of the Week to the previous jackhole that stole his Buddha statue from his home’s deck. I don’t know about all of you, but I couldn’t care less about a statue that may or may not have been stolen from this man’s back yard. Andy, you are the host and an executive at Bravo, this isn’t about YOU!

The poll this week concluded that 89% of the audience found Michaele Salahi to be plastic rather than fantastic. The most predictable outcome to a poll to date.

We learned that NeNe intends on being an Indian for Halloween, and that next week will include all six of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Watch What Happens Live. Where will they put them all on that tiny stage?

Next Thursday, Bravos lineup will include the first part of the Real Housewives of DC reunion show, the premier of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and another new episode of Watch What Happens Live.

    Hi Lynn!
I believe Jason originally thought Cat was rude because he expected answers from the Salahi’s. It seemed like he genuinely liked them and thought they were friends. He was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt until their behavior confirmed the worst things people were saying about them. I hope so anyway.

NeNe Leakes – I can’t help myself, there is something about NeNe that I really like even though I don’t always agree with her behavior. I think she would be great fun to hang out with in small doses.
I also think she has a smoking hot body but as someone mentioned a couple of blogs ago she really needs to wear the proper undergarments. She needed a better (or any) bra with that dress! And it was distracting that she kept looking to make sure her breasts hadn’t tumbled out.
I don’t know why she doesn’t just cop to the obvious nose job. Can’t she claim the deviated septum like Ashley Holmes? When I first saw the photos I thought it looked weird but I’m getting used to it now. She’s a beautiful woman either way.

    • tweeterlaura says:

distracting? Nene’s dress? the expansiveness…the expectation of those girls tumbling out was VERY distracting.

it probably says something about my character; of all the housewives, for a girls night out i would choose nene and or kim.

so over the salahi wackos, they certainly derailed rhodc.

my mini rant this morning; is there no end to the shameless promotion of themselves- dina and teresa with twitter fan pages for their offspring. right lexi’s page is kept by a 14 year old, and i am the mona lisa. guess the ages of the giudice girls? that is creepy twitter stuff. amazing these “wonderful” moms would allow this. why am i not surprised.

      • error404 says:

No way. I’d pick Sonja, or even Ramona if I had too. They went to that shoe party for like 5 minutes, Nene caused this head-spliting scene that was embaressing even for the ghetto, and then they left. Not my idea of a fun night out!

        • Rabble Rouser says:

Ramona would have been my pick until she got all slap happy-I like Sonja but I wouldn’t want to give her to get into a car with her.

While NeNe might be amusing (like a cartoon) in small doses, I think over all she is a pretty vile person.

As of now I would have to say, I would go for Jenna from the OC.

  2. Night Light says:

Completely off topic, why is Patty the matchmaker working to set up the Manzo brothers? Are they millionaires? Every time her commercial comes on I change it. She is so abrasive and unlikable.

Back to RHODC, I like Paul and Cat they can recast the rest. I think he was very honest in his explanation of why he thinks Michaele is still with Tareq. There are many people out there that once find themselves wealthy will fight tooth and nail to hold on to it once they loose it. It might also explain why Tareq’s mother doesn’t like her. Every RH franchise has a delusional member Michaele fullfills that role here.

Now Nene, I unfortunately, have a family member that behaves in the exact same way. It’s sad because I love her very much but her inability to have self control puts me in a position to have her at arms length. Yes, those people are fun but you just never know how they are going to behave. I have sat in restaurants, theatres, family functions where it has desolved to those moments where Nene goes off on Dwight. She never did that to me but was my guest on a couple of ocassoions when she behaved that way and to say I was mortified is an understatement.

    • error404 says:

Nothing that happens on Patty’s show is even remotely real. This way, instead of giving sleezy sex-toy sellers 5 minutes of free publicity, they can give 2 of their budding “stars” 5 more minutes of exposure. Besides, what girl isn’t dying to go out with guys who throw food at the wall for fun, and whose’s biggest dream is to open up a stripper car wash some day? Isn’t there a line around the block for catches like this? Oh, and the domineering hateful mother-in-law is just an extra perk. Too good to be true, right?

      • quincyil says:

I was thinking about reviewing Patty’s show so that people here could throw tomatoes and rotten eggs. I really don’t care for her, but bashing Patti could be fun.

  3. plainviewsue says:

Hey Lynn. I commented on Andy’s Bravo blog, but I am sure that it won’t be posted. He should be kicked off as host of this show. He doesn’t ask any of the important questions; it’s almost like he just wants to make sure that he is liked. When the lying Salahis said they were vindicated, I was thinking what they hell are they talking about!!?? The first checkpoint their name was clearly not on the list, and the woman told them to walk thru and wait while it is checked out. They just kept on walking. We don’t know what happened at the other checkpoints. In a snippet of the reunion, Michaele says nobody gets fired. The couple is so delusional it is really scary.

Personally, I loved watching the other women’s reactions to the hearings.

Let’s face it. Andy is in love with himself. Just like Teresa and Jill, he has become addicted to fame and the lure of celebrity.

    • quincyil says:

I think the other women felt they needed to react to the Congressional inquiry in order to prove that they had no association with the Salahis. They were distancing themselves and in a way distancing Bravo.

So two more weeks of the DC reunion. I know the women will be harsher than Andy.

I have known people in the real world who do believe there own lies. To see it played out for weeks on the screen was of interest to me. There is true pathology there on the parts of both individuals. Somehow they have found the perfect match. At first I thought Michaela was the victim of her husband, but no longer. She may be the mastermind.

      • jillz68 says:

At first I thought Michaela was the victim of her husband, but no longer. She may be the mastermind.

The above is exactly what I started thinking last night. I always thought creepy T was the mastermind but I think I was wrong.

  4. Waxdiva says:

Agree: The RHODC finale was a total waste of time for the most part. I did notice that Tarmac was starting to get nervous and sweat a bit in the limo as they were driving to the WH. He knew they weren’t invited, but the Salamis go by the theory that if you look and act like you belong there, others will believe that you do.

Disagree: WWHL is too short on time for Andy to get into it with the Sa-liars about their many indescretions. Was there ever a WWHL that Andy did ask real ‘investigative reporter’-like questions? I didn’t get the vibe that Andy was dancing around the Salamis. They have a prepared squirrely answer for any question throw at them and in the short period of time on WWHL, there was no point in going ’round with them. I hope that he drilled the Salamis on the WH crashing and their other crap on the reunion show that will be aired next week.

As for NeNe’s nose, I found that segment funny. Despite NeNe not acknowledging her new appendage, everyone in the world can plainly see that she had rhinoplasty. Interesting, she’s not embarrassed about her boobs hanging out and down to her lap and her dress up to her ass, but she’s gonna get up in Andy’s grill if he notices that she has a new nose? I could understand if NeNe were a dainty, etiquette-abiding, cottilion-attending woman, but she’s an in-your-face rough type. Her before and after pictures have been plastered everywhere on the net.

    Sorry, that’s not her!
    That was close…oh…HERE SHE IS:

  5. Waxdiva says:

    Why am I being moderated?

  6. TT in OC says:

Sorry ladies and gents, off topic.

Boston, got your message from last blog. I am assuming I need to sign up with wordpress.com first. However, I have problem registering and according to the error message it’s a security issue. Any suggestion?

    • TT in OC says:

Hey Boston, I finally got it. For some strange reason, my laptop won’t let me sign up so I switch to my hubby’s. Thanks for your help.

      • Need a Hobby says:

You may have security software and/or browser settings on your laptop that impede the sign up process. Just a guess. Cookies and scripts are the usual common issues if security settings are tight.

        • TT in OC says:

@Need a Hobby, you are a genius. I just brought and installed a new security software and I suspected that has sometime to do with it. That’s why I switched to my hubby’s laptop.

  7. quincyil says:

No one asked about the Salahis leaving before the dinner took place, correct? I haven’t had time to watch WWHL. That is important. Why go to a dinner and not sit down to dinner? Why did they leave suddenly? I think the White House found out about the intrusion in the Post the day after the event. Somehow, they left and no one was suspicious?

I wonder if Paul Warton was invited to the reunion and if the women are still friendly with him because that is one honest man.

Stacy and Jason are regular people who are honest and hard working. They expect that the rest of us on the planet are like themselves. It’s not true, but I like their naivete.

I’m glad someone said that the voice talking to Cat on the front porch was Lynda because I didn’t get that on my own. This is why a blog and comments are so helpful. I thought it was odd that she went outside and didn’t leave. Michaela must have known she was filming and talking about her when she decided to go out the back door. I also notice Michaela talking with someone in the kitchen for a second when Jason was having the conversation with Tareq. I think that woman was a producer trying to get Michaela back into the living room for more confrontation.

Mary was still mad at Tareq over the face book investigation and their accusations against Lolly and her friends. You’d think she would want to confront the Salahis as Cat did.

On a fashion note, nice belt on Cat. She wore that belt for the entire season. It must be a designer belt, right?

    • vgirl511 says:

I think Michaele said that she had a MS ‘flare up’ and thats why they left the dinner! Not sure, but I think I remembered hearing that and wondering if people who suffer from MS really have ‘flare ups’.

      • Waxdiva says:

        Yeahhhhh…McHale had a MS ‘flareup’… uh, ok…

Both McHale and Tarmac went to the Hays Adams and had cocktails after they darted out of the WH dinner. Alcohol always helps a ‘flareup.’ Yeah… AND they stiffed the bartender!

        • quincyil says:

I always go to a bar and have drinks after the Sun has a flare up.

I do want to note that the family doctor supposedly diagnosed Michaela 17 years ago and it’s such a horrible disease and so shameful that it’s been a secret all of these years. (sarcasm…)

      • jillz68 says:

Yes you do have flare ups. You can be healthy as a horse for years and then have one. I have had 4 flare ups over the years and they are awful. I know for ME, I couldn’t walk straight without help and would often just pitch over to the side
which is a very odd feeling. I also had horrendous headaches and couldn’t keep food and often water down. I also felt
odd like I was on a combo of booze and pills. That description doesn’t really do it justice. I also have a very hard time
forming thoughts and conveying them to others. Another time I had awful eye pain and couldn’t move my eyes left or right, the sight went out in one eye, and lights were unbearable.

She would have been somewhat believable about MS had she not said
she was suffering a flare during the dinner. That part actually pissed my husband off because he knows what I have
been through and what they are like for me and others we know with it. I was waiting for her to try and describe the meds that one takes for MS. That could have been another area where she didn’t do adequate research before she claimed to have a
disease that I know far too well.

        • quincyil says:

Does the flare up last for a while? She had drinks at a bar across from the White House that she didnt’ pay for according to reports. Would some one so sick that they had to leave the White House go to have drink? That seems odd to me.

          • jillz68 says:

Flare ups can last a long time if not treated. When it is happening you need to see a doctor and they will put you
on a course of intravenous steroids for 3 days. That is the only way to get the inflammation down. You certainly do not want alcohol. When I needed the steroids I needed to have a ride home. They also can make you very sick to your
stomach. The other symptom I forgot (not sure how!) is extreme exhaustion. Once you have the steriods though
they can make you VERY hyper and not able to sleep so the doc usually gives you ambien or something like it.

She is SOOOO full of shit that she had a flare up during the dinner.

    • nathania says:

agree on all points. Especially about Cat leaving. The producers obviously asked her not to leave, they wanted more drama with Cat confronting them. So the Salahis fled out the back door in stead of confronting Cat out front. This must have been what happened the night of Stacie’s party as well. We have talked all this time about Bravo producers being in on these scenes but with these two instances in which Cat was obviously asked to delay her exit until something further in the scene could happen I am thinking ‘director’ here, in addition to producer. Cat standing out in front of their house is ridiculous as her standing into the hallway crying into her children’s embrace at Stacie’s party.

Stacie’s line about them leaving was hysterical: “They go in the front door of the white house but they leave out the back door of our house.” I’m still laughing about that.

  8. Adgirl says:

More Keeping it Klassy with the Salahi’s:

Tareq says in the Daily Beast that Cat and Charles had a sex problem that broke up their marriage.

He also claims the Washington Post had it our for him due to unpaid advertising bills and the writer was dating his polo competitor.

The article is rather long so here’s the link:

Now that this season is over, Bravo should just dump DC while they have the chance. It doesn’t work on so many levels. Outside of the Salahis, this cast was b-o-r-i-n-g. Howives and politics don’t mix. Real Howives don’t have social conscience, either. When I want political debate, I’ll turn to a news channel or C-Span, thank you very much. And when I want to indulge my guilty housewife pleasure, I expect to see total mindless inanity, dammit!

  10. Waxdiva says:

Posers! Someone needs to check out NeNe’s ‘charity.’ This is from ’08, but people don’t change all that much…and in the video NeNe has her old nose:

  11. Melinda says:

It was so frustrating to see the Sahlahi’s on WWHL!!! Vindicated??? So a lowly security guard at the FIRST checkpoint lets them through…….uh, we didn’t get to see checkpoints 2-4…….where Tariq probably said, “oh we are the Sahlahi’s and we already passed through the first checkpoint, how could we have gotten here if our names weren’t on THAT list?” and then America’s Cup Polo, blah blah blah until the other checkpoint monitors just sent them through because NO OTHER human on the planet would do what they did! They were dressed appropriately and since Tariq (and it seems Michale) actually believe their delusions, they probably came across as telling the truth to the checkpoint monitors. UGH……I still think they are full of crap because the White House would NOT have made a big deal about this had it not been what it seems.

the finale was so-so…….agree with you there………will miss Cat the most of all!

    • realminkey says:

Taraq always has the strangest expression on his face when he’s not talking. Devious, but with something else added. Can’t describe it, exactly. She, on the other hand, goes from looks of surprise to manic happy enthusiasm. The two of them are definitely a case study in sociopathic behavior, that’s for sure.

  12. emily says:

Nene gave an interview to tv guide where she talks about the new housewives and if she still talks to Lisa:

TVGuide.com: Do you keep in touch with Lisa now that she’s off the show?
Leakes: No, I don’t talk to Lisa at all. I didn’t get to know her until the second season. We were really cool, even though … Look, I’m a very good judge of character. I should win a damn award for being a good judge of character. I get you right away. I get it. And so, as Lisa and I hung out more, I got her. That’s all I can really say. I got her. I got who she was. I was OK with who she was, but we could not be good friends. We could be friendly, and work together and even have a drink together. But as far as me crying on her shoulder or telling her secrets, I wouldn’t.

I wasn’t so happy with Nene after Monday’s epi, but she really did win me over last night.

    • Jen says:

Yes!!!! Thank you for posting this because in this interview she claims to have known new housewife Phadedra (sorry to lazy to scroll up and look at correct spelling) and didn’t she say diff on WWHL? Geez almost every HW is a liar

  13. emily says:

Some bonus clips are up on bravo for Rhodc. Here is a clip of Cat with her father as he is getting ready to go to the White house christmas party with Charles. Originally I thought they were both disinvited, but apparently just Cat, and Charles took her father instead. It’s a cute clip of the girls with their grandfather:

    • quincyil says:

I watched it. I’m glad her father went. It’s kinda sad that she was punished for the actions of her cast mates. I wonder if Bravo tried to help her at all in this. If I was being punished unfairly, it would really hurt me that my husband went to the event even if it was business related. I’m not sure my husband would do that. He’s pretty loyal to me.

      • LynnNChicago says:

I doubt that Bravo would pull any weight with the White House, in fact them going to bat for Cat might have hurt the situation even more.

In this situation, I would have insisted that my husband attend without me. I wouldn’t want him to miss out, at least he could enjoy the honor of being invited to a State Dinner, he earned it.

        • quincyil says:

Charles did earn it. I give Cat credit for being filmed and supporting her father going to the event.

Bravo is NBC and GE. Those are powerful entities. The head of GE is an advisor to Obama. Cat had done nothing wrong other than work for Bravo’s subcontractors on a Bravo show. Cancelling the invitation is a huge insult. I’d be crushed.

        • Mel2 says:

Sorry Lynn but there is a world of difference between a WH Christmas Party and a State Dinner. Charles was invited to the Christmas Party.

      • Need a Hobby says:

Cat had her own issues that probably came up in a WH background check……that little tabloid item she gave the Brit media about her alleged involvement with a member of the UK’s royal family, for example, probably was one of the factors. Cat has her own claims to notoriety. Not just being associated with a reality show and the Salamis.

        • quincyil says:

I also read some of those things including some issues with vendors in Spain. Hollywood stars are often worse than Cat and they prance into the White House.

          • Need a Hobby says:

Hollywood stars have more money and visibility than Cat, donate and raise money for political campaigns, and sometimes actively campaign for candidates.

Cat’s nowhere in that league. There’s no upside to having her around.

        • Jules says:

Cat really shouldn’t complain too much – afterall, she had some rather uncomplimentary things to say about Obama not RSVPing for her wedding. I thought at the time she was saying those things that the President wouldn’t be very happy with Charles when he heard what is wife was saying.

  14. Duchess of Dryer Lint says:

    Two things.
    1. Tareq clearly says to Mickey in the limo “Once we get through that receiving line we can relax”.
    2. does anyone know the significance of the “tent”? Mickey mentions several times that they are to be in a heated tent on the lawn, and not in the actual White House itself? I thought that if you were in the tent it meant you would attend the opening coctail hour, and greeting ceremony, but not the dinner itself—the dinner is served in the State Dining Room at those functions. Initially they were claiming to be invited to the dinner, then they go out of the way to mention the tent several times, so I thought they were clarifying for the cameras that they would NOT be at the dinner, just the opening reception, to cover their butts about not having a place to sit and eat. Am I wrong about the way it works?

    • OneMoreInBoston says:

part of confusion of that night was they moved everyone from the tent, as was originally planned, because of the weather.

    • Mel2 says:

Tent question…there were 300+ guests for this State Dinner. There is no way the dinner could be held inside the WH. However, the cocktail reception was inside the WH.

      • TEB says:

Yes- they absolutely can have 300 people for dinner at the White House. They have a huge ballroom in it. I’ve seen it.

        • Mel2 says:

Are you talking about the State Dining Room? I didn’t think that could hold more than 150 seated guests.

        • Duchess of Dryer Lint says:

I still thought I remembered reading that because of the number of people invited to this (it was the first state dinner of the new presidency, so they wanted to include as many people as they could to “thank” them for their support during the campaign) that it was kind of like a 2 part thing. Some were invited for the “greeting and reception” in the tent, and then others for the dinner as well. You did not get a place to sit in the Dining room unless you got the BIG invite, not the invite for the tent. I don’t know why I remember that, except that I think some big campain contributors were pissed that they got the LITTLE invite, and not the other one. I swear there was a story about it. Either way, the Salahis were not invited to either.

          • American Idiot says:

I believe you are correct, DDL. There were two events, the welcoming ceremony, and the state dinner.

The written invitations were for the dinner. The Salahi’s claim they received an e mail inviting them to the welcoming ceremony. They were NOT invited to the dinner. In the e mail printed publicly from Ms. Jones, she clearly states, she cannot get them invited to the state dinner, she might be able to get them invited to the welcoming ceremony.

            • OneMoreInBoston says:

OK-so that explains everything a lot more. After almost a year, the details were getting fuzzy.
(I can’t even remember what I had for lunch! wait did I have lunch?)

  15. quincyil says:

    From Michaela’s blog:

“To read all details about what really happened surrounding the White House, and the betrayal by the Democratic party, you can read about it in the Book “Cirque du Salahi: Be Careful who you Trust.”

I knew it. The Salahis were in contact with the Democratic fundraisers when they were requesting invitations to this dinner. They expected payback for the Oasis Winery fundraiser for Obama. It would be interesting to see how much money they raised and I’m sure that is in public records somewhere.

Both Republican and Democratic Administrations run on donations. I know our Ambassador to Urugray under Bush II and I know how much money he donated to the Bush campaign to get such an honor.

The Salahis felt betrayed by the Democratic Fundraising arm failing to get that piece of paper/invitation in to their hands. I bet they were really strong arming Paula Jones for weeks before the event. It actually makes me feel better about the Obama Administration that they didn’t buckle to the demands of Tareq Salahi and actually give him the invitation.

The list checker at the gate, looked under pressure when she could not find their name. It really didn’t look like there were procedures in place with a second or third person to look into a person arriving who was not on the list.

I don’t think that the Salahis had confirmation on the invitation for a single moment. I think they felt entitled to attend the event because of the environment of DC where money flows from hand to hand and promises are made with whispers. We get to see some of the back door deals in this. I bet that is why no charges have been filed. The Salahis might know more than their ghost writer wrote in that first book in the series called “The Adventures of Michaela and Tareq in Disney Central, DC.”

    • Amber...Real Wife says:

I wouldn’t believe the DemParty betrayed the Salahi’s by not inviting them to the dinner, as I wouldn’t believe they had an invite. Real or imagined, no invite was given. These people know which names to use, the names of the big players in politics. Once met, no matter how fleeting the encounter, the Salahis consider these people friends and will name drop and make all believe they have a friendship with these big whigs.

    • Adgirl says:

Paula Jones? Wasn’t she one of Clinton’s bimbo eruptions?

I think the Obama employee was Michelle Jones but I maybe incorrect and too lazy to look it up.

  16. It's Hot In Texas says:

Andy said that Ben Weiner was going to interview NeNe after the show. So… he is still infatuated with Ben??? NeNe called him a mini-Andy!

    • Waxdiva says:

Ben Weiner is Isaac Mizrahi’s cousin. Woo-hoo!!

      • Need a Hobby says:

Seriously? Well that adds a bit of explanation as to why Bravo took up with this kid. Not just some random kid who happened to be a fan. His family has connections and Bravo connections.

        • Waxdiva says:

          Fo reelz! They cousins.

          • Need a Hobby says:

I remember when Ben’s mom came to Andy’s defense and said she knew Andy….and it sounded like some pre-existing relationship. That’s when I thought the kid wasn’t just some random enthusiastic “fan” and there was more to why Andy was having him featured on his show.

The Mizrahi connection kinda confirms that. He’s still the host of The Fashion Show, Bravo’s attempt to replace Project Runway, which is coming back for Season 2 in November.

          • realminkey says:

Hey, the “real” housewives are fake, so why not the “real” fans?

I always kinda thought that little Weiner (heh) was suspect.

            • Rabble Rouser says:

It came across as ‘suspect’ in more ways than one.

If they want to trot Ben out on a Bravo show they should have waited for something much more benign like his Uncles upcoming show.

  17. TT in OC says:

Lynn, great recap. I was surprised by Jason’s two-faced behavior as well. Unless …. the Turners has a hidden agenda. It seems like the purpose of the gathering is to find out more about the crash. Therefore, Jason critized Cat to make the Salahis at ease and more willing to talk although I personally still find it distasteful.

I read that Jason is not working and was wondering what he used to do for a living.

  18. quincyil says:

I had a visceral effect when I watched the DC show last night. We only saw a few minutes of the sari walking down the path, but I still feel upset this morning. I think it has something to do with 9/11 frankly. In the last few days, we learned of alerts in Europe for Americans traveling. The thought that Salahi could get into the White House and so close to our President just frightens the hell out of me. In my opinion (First Amendment for Tareq’s benefit,) Tariq is a sociopath and can not be trusted. I still can’t believe that he was not prosecuted. Heck, people who toss things over the fence at the South Lawn are arrested and prosecuted. BTW, I absolutely love my freedom under the Constitution to give my opinion of Tariq and Michaela Salahi. I’m sure the love it too since they use the Fifth Amendment for their own benefit.

  19. Olivia says:

Personally, and not that anyone cares, I find the entire DC cast bereft of any interest.

With one exception: I truly admire Paul Wharton for taking an active stand in pointing out the stupidity of Lynda’s positions and for standing up for gay rights. He made his case in each instance with clarity and purpose and I applaud him for his resolve. Of the entire cast, he stood out for having principles in the face of those phonies.

As for the others, not so much.

    • quincyil says:

I respect Paul Warton also. This is a real person living in an unreal city.

    • OneMoreInBoston says:

yup-completely agree. the whole thing was a snore- could barely make it through each episode.

LOVE Paul Wharton though. I predict we’ll see more of him soon. He gets it.

MSNBC once again proves they are the crappiest … this is a new low for these guys!

      • MAMAZ says:

I read the article and it says nothing about an affidavit. In fact it states that they did NOT receive an invitation:

“They continue to insist they were invited to the dinner by Pentagon official Michele Jones, who did communicate with them about the party, but ultimately did not secure them an invitation.”

      • Need a Hobby says:

    LuAnn is eyeing Broadway!

For months there has been speculation that Countess LuAnn de Lesseps from the Real Housewives of New York was eyeing various on and off Broadway shows and now her rep has confirmed to RadarOnline.com exclusively that the classy brunette is indeed eyeing a stint on the stage.

    PHOTOS: Hot Celeb Moms

“It’s something she’s very interested in and she’s had a few meetings for a couple of potential Broadway projects including Chicago and La Cage Aux Folles. It’s something she’s definitely looking into,” her rep told RadarOnline.com, adding that the Countess has met casting directors for both shows.

“She’s very adventurous and wants to try something new.”

However, her Broadway debut is on hold at least until the fourth season of Housewives finishes filming. “They’re filming now so she can’t consider anything until after filming ends, which will mostly likely be towards the end of the year or January,” the rep added.

PHOTOS: The Hottest Stars From Reality TV

“She loves Broadway shows and has always had an affinity for the theatre and Broadway and an affinity for singing,” the rep said. “But it’s all dependent on availability.

“So this is something she wants to consider and pursue and hopefully with the right show, at the right time and the right availability dates it will happen.”

PHOTOS: Reality TV’s Hottest Housewives – How They Get Sexy

Besides her love for Broadway, the move to the stage signals LuAnn’s foray into a new version of herself and her life. “She’s intrigued to try something different and start a new chapter in her life.

“It would be a challenge and the Countess loves challenging herself. It’s eight performances a week and it’s a tough grind. It has to fit in with her schedule, but it’s a challenge she’s up for.” LuAnn looks to other stars that have used their non-Broadway stardom to propel their stage career. “She finds it very intriguing especially nowadays when projects on Broadway are continuing to include actors from all genres of TV, film and music and they’re able to do limited engagements. Chicago has been one of the shows that has used many different people over the years.

“The appeal from the producers is TV has such a huge fanbase and The Real Housewives have a huge fanbase and I think they realize she would be a good fit and bring in a different audience.”

PHOTOS: Kim Zolciak Poses In Her Bikini

Additionally, there are a few other ideas and offers for potential appearances on stage, but her rep would not elaborate more at this time.

LuAnn recently signed with Ultra Records and is planning to release her next dance single “Chic C’est La Vie” around the air date of the new Housewives, which is slated for an early 2011. She is also planning on shooting a music video for the single as well.

I think Michaele Salahi is just as manipulative and smarmy as Tareq. She’s 3 or 4 years older than him and would do anything for fame. The pair of them deserve each other. Last night on WWHL I was amazed at the way she kept jumping up and down like an over excited oompa loompa one moment and then saying how “devastated” she was at her Father in Law’s death the next before reverting back to an oompa loompa on speedballs. You can’t act Michaele, so don’t give up your day jon. Not that you have one. Seriously, they are vile, smug scammers and I would love to wipe the smug grin off Tareq’s mug with a knuckle sandwich. And I stick with what I said before – if Michaele has MS then my arse is a kipper. The Salahi’s have the depth of a pancake.

  26. shamrockblonde says:

thanks Lynn, as always – it is only through you that I could stand this installment of the Housewives – this is one franchise that I hope does not return – in all honesty, I feel as though Bravo – Andy Cohen in particular – used this particular franchise as a way of promoting and showcasing his own political beliefs – from the racism to the gay rights issues these things seemed to take front and center stage in almost every episode – I agree with realminkey – if I want news, I will watch Fox news – I want to see mindless drama, clothes and shoes – the only good thing I saw on this franchise was Mary’s husband – he’s a keeper – the rest – every last one of them – out – but Cat gets a hug on her way out – I just did not care for it at all –

    • Adgirl says:

I watched the last 15 minutes of the DC Housewives and 10 minutes of Watch What Happens live and I was done. It was so boring to me and it went no where. Lynn, I’m grateful to you. I can always come here and catch up on your sometimes incredible insight. What also makes your blogs awesome are the comments of your guests. I REALLY enjoy your blogspot. Thank you, Lynn!

  28. stanbo says:

I cannot stand the Salahis, but coming from a different view, they should be thanked I think for showing just how easy it was for these tools to get as close as they did to the President. Just imagine if they really wanted to hurt him! Not that I condone what they did.

You know, I am going to miss the DC girls, minus Michaele. I think they have good hearts. I love Cat. And Stacey. And, well, even the other two. Maybe because I’m from DC. I like the fact that their cattiness so much more subtle….

But Nene! Her big girls trying to bust loose aside, I thought she looked FABULOUS on WWHL. Gorgeous makeup, and love her new hair. I predict this will be Nene’s comeback year and she will be liked again (not that I ever stopped liking her). Glad its her and not Jill, who I predict will go down in history as the most despised housewife for all seven (it is 7, right?) franchises. Well, I will ALWAYS hate that blonde christian bimbo from OC the most, but that’s just me….).

    • quincyil says:

I saw a photo of Nene with purple eye makeup and I swear she looked like Nefretiti. I do think she needs help with styling because she doesn’t know what size of clothing to purchase. Hiding flaws, makes assets more beautiful.

I was told by a makeup artist at Georgette Klinger years ago to be careful with makeup. She said that I could focus on my eyes or lips, but if you do both it detracts. Nene has fantastic eyes so she is smart to show them off.

She is who she is. I tend not to be around many loud people so she is not my cup of tea. She’s perfect for Hotlanta so I’m glad she got the gig.

    • Need a Hobby says:

Yeah, I thought Nene’s head & face looked good. But her head looked disproportionately small to her body. Her attire on WWHL perhaps not the most felicitous to complete the look she achieved above the neck. (That and my envisioning the camera crew ready to hit the deck if the seams on that dress gave way and all of Nene sprang forth in the studio.)

RH Atlanta certainly not the “classiest” show in the RH series, but it brings energy and laughs. To me a relief from the pretense of the other shows. Nene’s got humor and if she can keep the ego monster in check and use her wit and humor, she could indeed make a comeback.

I don’t know how much of this little dust up last spring where allegedly Kim & Nene tag team Dwight will make it on the air, but this blog had me loling:

      • MAMAZ says:

There is something likable about NeNe. Yes she’s loud, and inappropriate but I still like her. Not sure why. But I agree that she needs a stylist. She’s beautiful and has a great body but she needs to learn how to wear the right clothes.

couldn’t she just be that blonde bimbo from the OC? – she gives Christians a bad rep – hopefully everyone is aware that not all Christians are as ignorant or self serving as she is – faith is not something that you have when it suits your purpose – it is something that is as much a part of you as breathing –

I wish true Christian faith got as much coverage as this self-involved clueless mess of a woman – maybe then if people got to see true examples of what being Christian – and what I mean by that is someone who has faith, be it Christian, Catholic, Jew, Protestant, Baptist or what have you – then maybe the idea that it is a bad thing, a foolish thing, would be less –

    /rant off/

sorry – had to get that off my chest – *hugs the entire board*

    • OneMoreInBoston says:

I ***cannot*** stand proselytizing of any type, whether it is on TV or in real life.

      • MAMAZ says:

Preachin’ to the choir! I don’t want to be too judgemental but she seems to be using Christianity as her television identity rather than have any deep heartfelt faith. I wouldn’t worry shamrock, she is such a caricature I doubt if anyone would confuse her for the genuine article.

  31. MickeyMouth says:

Finally caught up! Thanks for the write-up. VINDICATION!!!!!! – Those two are seriously cracked.

    • MAMAZ says:

Where is the INVITATION? The one they claimed to have, the one Tareq said you don’t bring to the event because you would frame it or laminate it as a memento. I guess it’s not back from the framers yet. If they honestly had an invitation show us. If not then why did they say they had one?

  32. Duchess of Dryer Lint says:

The VINDICATION is a joke, I agree. Did anyone else notice that what Tariq was referring to when he said that was NOT that they were indeed invited, but that they had used their real names? He says it several times, “We used our real names, real ID’s.” “You can clearly see we used our real names” “We never used anything but our real names”. The vindication he is referring to is the “proof” that it was not a criminal act, in the sense that faking your identity and assuming the name of someone actually on the list would be. They cannot prove they were invited, only that they did not lie about their names to get in. It is another side step of the whole truth. Yuck.

    • JKW says:

I said this in the last blog. I think Tariqs vindication comment (which is bull ) was in reference to the 1st checkpoint ( whatever they are called ? ) stating she didn’t have their name. First she told them to stand to the side then she said to go ahead and they could figure it out up ahead. Apparently no one caught it or they thought since they got through the first check point they were ok ? However, their name was not on the list…but she did tell them to go ahead to I assume the next checkpoint.

    • Kansas Girl says:

Reflecting, I think they feel “party-crashing” means going in through the kitchen or by some other means. He not only repeatedly said they gave their real names, but also said something about not going over the wall. I think in their minds, the fact that they apparently gave their own names and walked in means they didn’t crash the event. They seem to find it kind of honorable that they didn’t crash (by their definition). This would explain why they threaten to sue anyone who uses that term about them. So they were vindicated because the film shows they walked right in.

I’m not saying I approve. Or that I share their very narrow definition of the term.

    • nathania says:

I caught that, it’s just like Teresa Giudice saying “I have a lot of investments in my name.” It means, “in this particular instance, I actually didn’t lie.”

    • Savannah111 says:

Of course it’s a joke, my take on it they are so known to do crazy shit like this, well not as serious as this but point being they are known to be fakers, posers, plastic not fantastic and they’ve had months to think of something anything they can try and put a spin on it, but what the fools don’t realize is we’re all watching the fools on our TV’S.

  33. shamrockblonde says:

thanks Mamaz – I just can’t stand thinking that someone watches her and thinks to themselves – “well if that’s being a Christian I want no part of it” – because I agree with your assessment of her entirely!! –

#2 did I dream the conversation michalea had with someone a couple episodes ago at a dinner(she didn’t eat!) about being in India for three weeks and how wearing a sari “was all about the wrapping of it”? also, did anyone notice how her make up guy acted when he helped her put the sari together? probably because she didn’t pay him or tip him when he finished with her face!
ok, back to my lurking position now. great blog as usual lynn! 6 stars from me!

    • Need a Hobby says:

Foghorn’s so full of shit. She conspired to go after B, in external media outlets for months and not just in the footage she so generously provided Bravo. She didn’t anticipate the backlash, that’s all, and is now trying to pass herself off as a victim. She was pretty cocky in her interviews and appearances on TV shows (cue the video) when she was just so sure the audience would be on her side as she portrayed B as a villain. She didn’t realize she made B actually look sympathetic and vulnerable. Plus Jill was probably an ass to the production company and Bravo so they were unlikely to do her any favors when they had all that great bitch video from her. Brilliant, just brilliant. Hoisted with her own petard.

When the backlash hit, she backtracked with mea culpas, admitted she tried to hurt B AND her new Bravo show, and tried the “I wanna make up” ploy. That didn’t work either. So she’s been playing “the victim of a network conspiracy” card. This from the woman who self righteously proclaimed for two seasons that blaming editing is bullshit. So now she blames editing and anything, anyone she can possibly think of. Then publicly backtracks in the press because Bravo still probably contractually owns her ass. Wash, rinse, repeat. Classic foghorn tactics.

Actually, Lisa as a person is probably far more interesting than the foghorn. Certainly more professionally accomplished in her own right. She probably does make for less than exciting “reality” TV in the Bravo/E! etc. mold. But JZ herself isn’t exactly one of the Kardashians no matter how much she tries to garner public attention.

Jacqueline is not happy about Ashley’s relationship with Jonathan Cheban.

Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Jacqueline Laurita is fuming over her daughter Ashley Holmes’ budding romance with celebrity publicist and The Spin Crowd star Jonathan Cheban, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

Laurita was an expected guest at Wednesday night’s The Spin Crowd finale party in New York City but was a no-show after news of Cheban’s relationship with Ashley went public.

“Jacqueline doesn’t approve and was a little concerned about her daughter spending time with Jonathan,” a source close to the reality television couple told RadarOnline.com.

“Jacqueline wanted to go to the Spin Crowd’s party and didn’t want Ashley to attend.”

RadarOnline.com exclusively reported that the pair were seen locking lips at the star-studded opening of La Scala Boutique in Harlem just two days earlier.

“They were in the corner making out,” the source said of the unlikely couple. “They were all over each other.”

Although she was on the guest list, Jacqueline never showed up at the Spin Crowd finale party.

“It caused some tension, but Ashley really wanted to see him and went to the party anyway. She actually avoided the red carpet walk to be less conspicuous and went in a back door.

“When Jonathan was asked about their relationship, he mimicked a zipper across his mouth and smiled.”

Catch the finale of The Spin Crowd on Sunday at 10:30 pm ET on E!.

    • MAMAZ says:

How old is this guy? Ashley is only 19 and a very immature 19 at that. I’d be concerned too.

    • realminkey says:

What is his ethnic background and religion? Besides age, that could have something to do with it. But then again, it could just be that he’s such a creepazoid, even Jacqueline can see his smarminess far outweighs his D-list celebrity status.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

sneaking in the back door?? what a little skank, no wonder Jacq doesn’t want to be around Assley – why don’t you take away all her enabling toys and toss her out – Iron Hand Jacq, Iron Hand!

  38. Jen says:

Nene lied on WWHL if she claimed not to know Phadrdra (or however it’s spelt) because in interview on realitytea.com she says they went to same HS and P told nene she admired her- so she lying somewhere

    • MAMAZ says:

She said they went to the same HS but not during the same time. NeNe was a cheerleader and very popular, Phaedra would have known who NeNe was even if they didn’t know each other.

      • Need a Hobby says:

My recollection is that Nene said they did go to the same HS at the same time. But that she didn’t know P. Which is entirely possible if the school is large enough.

        • Jen says:

But Nene claims in the TV Guide interview Phaedra TALKED to her and said ‘i really admire you’ while they were in hs so obviously that at some point knew each other and Nene states it in TC Guide article. It’s not me assuming that knew each other bc same hs, nene said it, so…. Why diff story on WWHL?

        • Savannah111 says:

Need a hobby, I live in the Atlanta Ga area and Athens isnt that big at all.

I remember her saying they did go to school together but she was a couple of grades ahead of her and at that time she wasnt the person she claims that she is today, the southern bell. She also went on to say that they never spent any time together.. Nene made it seem like Padra was saying she really knew Nene and Nene is saying she didnt really know anything about her.

  39. kit says:

I don’t give a rat’s stinking ass about poor Cat’s disinvite to the WH Christmas party. In fact, it’s absurd that they blame the Salahi’s for it. Hm, national security was at risk, the President potentially in danger and all this social climbing, marble mouthed idiot cares about is that she doesn’t get to meet Obama? Yo, Cat, newsflash, you’re on a cheesy reality show full of embarrassing drama. You probably would have been un-invited(if she ever was in the first place)anyway given your own atrocious behavior on the show. God, she can’t get out of my country fast enough. Back to Britain with you-time to stick your tongue down another royal’s throat for publicity!

    • OneMoreInBoston says:

      no shit- right?

That’s all she could take away from it? That SHE was dis-invited?

Stupid rant at them at The Turner’s house too. Impotent rage. More likely about her crumbling marriage because her husband doesn’t sharpen her knives, then the Salamis.

No the sharpest knife in the drawer? bwah haa haa!

      • kit says:

Yes, I love how she’s so disgusted by their behavior. Please. Cat stinks of climb-through-the-air-vent-to-get-into-a-hot-party desperation. Cat’s a massive fame whore, just like them. Only, she’s less successful.

      • Savannah111 says:

Exactly and don’t forget that Cat was also very disappointed that he didnt attend their wedding or some function she thought that they president of the United States should have been there. She said that it one of the earlier episodes.

        • LynnNChicago says:

Actually she was upset that he didn’t rsvp, not necessarily that he didn’t attend. With all the assistant’s he has, he could have at least assured that they sent an RSVP.

    • vilzvet says:

I’ve still to watch the episode, caught some of it, the closing scenes at Staci’s house, missed the whole White House part because of the Yankee game. I have a question though about Presidential security. When we see him on vacation with the family, we see him going into local shops, etc., mingling with the locals. Isn’t that considered as dangerous as letting potential assassins into the White House? I find it hard to believe that locals are patted down before they walk into an ice cream shop the President is inside. What is the protocol?

      • Adgirl says:

I’m sure her snogging or shagging one of the Princes then selling her story to the UK paper had nothing to do with the WH’s distaste of her.

        • Need a Hobby says:

Exactly. Would have been a diplomatic faux pas. A small one, perhaps, but still not a good idea along with her other baggage.

  40. kit says:

Oh, and good riddance to this franchise. Please, Bravo, ax this boring disaster! Thank god Atl is back.

    • Amber...Real Wife says:

What saddens Cat the most? She won’t be able to trash the WH christmas party! She couldn’t insult the hosts, spirits, food, guests, service or decor. SAD for her. She so planned on showing the HW’s and viewers how bored she was with all the pomp and circumstance. LOL

    • boston02127 says:

  42. GG says:

I’ve been reading the blog from time to time and have not commented previously. Just wanted to comment to TT and Quincy about their curiosity about Jason Turner’s employment status. Jason is co-owner of a management consulting company. The website is: http://www.tysonpmgroup.com/. Both he and Stacie have always been, and continue to be, employed either in the corporate world or in their own businesses since their graduation from the University of Virginia (Jason) and from Howard University and Harvard Business School (Stacie). I think it’s fun to try to get to know the housewives and speculate about what they do and why they do it, but just wanted to clear up the facts on the employment question. Thanks for the interesting blog.

    • Raquel Papel says:

Wow, thanks for the info GG. I love them, they are such a cute couple and I hope they can stick it out w. all the cameras in their face.

    • OneMoreInBoston says:

nice piece-she comes off really well.

Unbelievable that the Turners were not shown changing their mind about gay marriage. I wonder, had it been shown, if they would have influenced others to change their minds too?
Seems almost irresponsible not to show it.

      • nathania says:

I know…I feel cheated they did not show that and that they did not show the conclusion of Stacie finding her birth father…this was really touching: “When I first spoke to my birth father he was overjoyed, crying and so thankful that I found him and was completely open and desiring to have a relationship and welcome me to the family.” I am thrilled someone posted this article, I love Stacie and think she is a good egg. Of all the Housewives shows DC is the *least* boring to me and the one I would be most likely to watch again. I can’t really stand the pecking order/clucking hen/ drama b.s. that goes on in most of them any longer, now that I know that no matter who is in the right or who is hiding what Bravo has their preconceived notions about who will be assigned to the villain role and who will ‘win’ and ‘lose’ despite what the truth is.

    • realminkey says:

I still say, she’s as boring as the rest of them.

  43. GG says:

    You’re welcome Raquel !

  44. Amber...Real Wife says:

Surprise, surprise. BRAVO chose to let us believe Stacie and hubby were still against gay marriage. They showed Mary re-thinking her stance but not the Turners. I guess since Mary didn’t have a good argument against it, they showed her as pliable. It’s good to know that they have changed their minds and can support gay marriage and still be of strong faith.

    • Jen says:

Just to defend Bravo for a minute, RHDC was not aired for almost a year after taping finished so maybe things changed, like Stacie talking to her dad or their stance on gay marriage, after filming so Bravi could only throw in written at end

maybe the turners changed their minds after it aired and they got backlash for not supporting it too

Alexis grew up in Hannibal. There are a lot of Baptist Churches around here. Missouri is almost Southern even though it’s next to IL where I live.

      • Raquel Papel says:

Quincy, I was in a wedding in Quincy once, loved the town, hated the wedding, turned out to be a disaster and did not talk to the bride for five years. Anyway, I had to fly into Missouri and passed through Hannibal, beautiful area. I could not believe my ears when I heard Princess Fakeness say that she was different there because she wore makeup and dressed up.

        • quincyil says:

People wear make up here, but not clown make up.

The family was lower middle class from the description of the location of her home. I saw the obituary of her father online in the Funeral Home site.

Hannibal has wealthy homes on the bank of the Mississppi. Quincyans have more old money. I know those people, but I’m not in the “in” group. Because I paint and enter contests, I cross their paths.

          • Raquel Papel says:

They quicyans were horrible to me. I had a rotten time. I was snubbed by the other bridesmaids and I was alone the whole time. Have never seen anything like it. • OneMoreInBoston says:

I call them HOLY ROLLERS- like they will steam roll right over you with their holiness

      • nathania says:

I call them con artists. Religion, terminal/debilitating illness, T&A whatever, all can be used as grifts. My sister in laws both are sociopaths and both are the praying in public religious kind. Mainly because of them anyone who makes a big show about their faith immediately falls under my suspicion. Religion is a particularly insidious con because it is used as a way to quiet the suspicions of people who should know better.

    • AZ Girl says:

That prayer that Alexis did in the restaurant in SF last season was just embarrassing. It went on and on and on. Everyone at the table were trying NOT to break out into laughter. It was almost like she believed god was sitting there eating a shrimp cocktail while she was praying.
Personally my relationship with god is a private matter between me and him/her and not the media or the public.

  47. quincyil says:

I know I am being awful, but I just don’t think Michaela is a raging beauty. She’s emaciated and has bleached hair and fake extensions, but her face is not pretty to me.
I don’t know what she looked like when she was young, maybe she was more attractive.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

her front teeth are capped and whiter than the rest – which gives her a Buggs Bunnyesque look…..but those rangy extentions are the worst and especially when she whips her head around!

    • AZ Girl says:

This is bad I apologize. Her skin is terrible. Close up it looks like she had a problem with acne in her early years. Lines on her lip indicate that she may be a smoker. She also has a voice of a smoker.

      • OneMoreInBoston says:

I don’t think the lines around her mouth are from smoking, but from the caps on her teeth. She is constantly overcompensating by pursing her lips around them causing the lines.

        • OneMoreInBoston says:

I thought she looked pretty good last night though- rested. Not at all like she was grieving

            • Raquel Papel says:

All her teeth look like they need some work, her front ones need to be filed down. I find them rather distracting. and yes, when someone close to me passes away the first thing I think of is let me go on a show.

Andy looked like he was confused by them during show. Everytime he asked them a question, he would look at them in disbelief when they answered. At least that is the way I saw it.

  48. Savannah111 says:

Quincy or anyone, I haven’t gotten through all the posts yet, so I apologize if I’m asking a repeated and already answered question.. 63. Miss Anthrope says:

What bugs me most in terms of the RHDC show being associated with the Salahi White House fiasco is how Charles could have been fired for what they did. In fact, I’m sort of shocked that he wasn’t. He’s a White House photographer and was on a television show with the 2 of them and they crashed a White House party. That’s insane. They clearly did not care that their actions were going to negatively affect other people. Just so long as they got their jollies by being photographed at the White House, it didn’t really matter. That makes me sick.

These 2 are as stupid as the Giudices. Why on earth these people commit criminal acts with a camera crew following them is completely beyond me.

I watched the extended previews for the reunion and it looks like Michaele really lets her true colors show like we’ve never seen before. Between the fake crying and backhanded comments about Cats marriage, I think we are in for a real treat. I especially am looking forward to her denying that anyone was fired as a result of her crashing the White House.

Big Love was good for the first 2 seasons. This last season really put me off. It’s way too far fetched now. Actually, it’s not just far fetched. It’s ridiculous to the point where it borders on being camp in the same way that shows like 90210 are camp. A shame because I really liked it in the beginning.

My favorite is Mad Men, hands down. But my favorite show ever might be Carnivale. It still pisses me off thinking about how they let that one die.

    • flippy says:

Just started watching Mad Men this season and find myself really getting hooked. But I gotta say love me some Brenda Lee. About 2 weeks ago I called in sick to work and watched the marathon build up to the season finale. That was a good day!

House is my favorite that is airing now. All time favorite – West Wing

I like a lot of shows but “Saving Grace” was the only one I worked my schedule around.
Started watching the HW stuff cause I was stuck at home during the latter part of NY. Found Lynn’s blog and got really sucked into the whole thing past and present.
Oh really like PR too and NCIS is a given ’cause Mark Harmon is HOT!

    • WindyCityWondering says:

I like Destination Truth (Josh Gates) and NCIS (Mark Harmon). Then again I can leave the Weather Channel or Foodnetwork on and be happy!

    • nathania says:

my favorite right now is Income Property on HGTV. I don’t know why, I just love watching them gut those basements and then the reveal when they show the finished property and the owners always want to move into their new rental property.

I love Holmes on Homes too, it’s an hour so I can’t always watch it all the way through. I also like Yard Crashers and Curb Appeal, The Block.

My all time favorite shows are Alias, Roseanne, and WKRP in Cincinnati.

I used to like Criminal Minds but now I can’t stomach it for some reason. I went through the same thing with Without A Trace, loved it at first and now I don’t care for it.

I think The First 48 is a really good show too. I will watch just about any CSI Las Vegas or NY that is on…I really can’t stand David Caruso so Miami is tougher but I still watch that one. There is one that is centered around a morgue in Los Angeles that I can’t remember the name (it’s name for the road that it’s on) that I like.

What is funny to me is as much time as I spend posting here and thinking about the RHO franchise I don’t count them amoung my favorite shows. I don’t know why. I did love Bethenny getting Married and hope it continues to be as funny as it has been, she is a mess (in a good way). I also like Life on the D list with Kathy Griffin.

      • MSU Chicago says:

Doesn’t anyone watch Dexter, on Showtime? It is an excellent show.

BTW, I have been reading this blog for months now, but have never posted. The reason I like this blog the most, is because of the different opinions. I appreciate that people that have empathy for Danielle, from NJ. I have always thought there were shennanigans going on because of the ganging up on her. In my opinion, from season 1, she was the most real. Ok, there may have been too much sex talk with her, but at least she was honest.

I did like Jill (eek), the first season of NY. Watching her decline is amazing. I cannot stand her! That is the reason I love this blog the most! I have enjoyed renewed Ramona from day 1. Thank God she has redeemed herself on the show. Gotta love the crazy!!

Anyway, in the future, I may not be the most frequent poster, but I have been an avid reader and will continue to do so. If I may offer my opinion on one thing, please stop the grammar police. I understand that people are posting from their blackberries, iphones, etc., but it gets ridiculous when people are being bashed for their grammar, while the accusers are not proper with their own grammar themselves. I may be wrong by stating this. It may be the ladylike way for the posters to state their disagreement with the people that they do not agree with. Maybe it is the lady way to disagree?

BTW Lynn, I am a Chicagoan as well. I live in Lincoln Park. I think it is awesome that the forefront blog on the Housewives comes from Chicago. I am sure that you agree with me when I think there should never be a Real Housewives Chicago! We are a real city, but unfortunately I know people who would love to be on a Housewives show, as I am sure you do as well. I shudder to think of it!!!

You can’t understand Michaela’s thoughts. Usually, you can follow someone’s logic or have similar emotions, but everything about her is off. She controlled Tariq at Stacy’s home post crashing. She controlled WWHL. I wonder if Corrine Salahi was correct and her hatred of Michaela justified. Her son might be controlled by Michaela. I think she wanted to social climb (which is normal) and she thought Tareq, the poser, was her ticket. She is the one wanting all of those purses and shoes. She wants to fly first class to Paris on the drop of a hat. Tareq can’t say, “No,” to Michaela as she states that people don’t say, “No,” to her.

I am just as disturbed by Michaela as I was by OJ.

        • OneMoreInBoston says:

Yes…we’re starting to see her true colors. I really dismissed her at first because I thought she was such a light weight. hello…sparkles?!?!?!

Shows I wanted to like but couldn’t get into:
    Sons of Anarchy
    Breaking Bad

I don’t know why I didn’t care for them – it seemed to be more about the atmosphere or tone of the shows rather than the content.

    • MAMAZ says:

Breaking Bad is hard to watch but it’s a great show. The writing is excellent and the camera shots are very creative.
I love the Dexter books but the show, eh, not so much.

Oh, and As Time Goes By is my all time favorite tv show.

    • Agatha Cranky says:

Zipit I love Dame, shes beautiful, but I think she did have a facelift. If you notice at the beginning of As time goes by, the pic of her on the piano, her face is very different. Whoever did her work, did it so subtly as not to impede on her artists pallete. Her eyes were more hooded then. I’m kinda noticing that in myself these days.

There are some photos of the DC housewives. For the owner of a modeling agency, Lynda makes some poor choices for her body type. I am super critical of my photos, but I look better than Lynda.

  74. quincyil says:

I am only 5’6″ and I am 20% body fat. I don’t know how Nene can walk in 6 or 7 inch heels. She’s a large woman and has rolls of fat on her back. Lipo on the stomach helps, but that is a lot of weight on her toes. All of these women wear outrageous heels. Bethenny was in heels at 8 months of pregnancy.

I am not into pain so I go for 2 inches at most. My feet are healthy and there are no bones or toes curling up like Jill Zarin.

  75. quincyil says:

Since it’s Sat., and every one is sleeping in… I googled “Michaela” and saw a photo that I touched on with the mouse. It’s the NY Social diary and if page down there was a photo of Michaela and a man. The article claims this man was also at that Party and he was a third gate crasher. He must know the Salahis because in this photo Michaela was not in the red sari/linea. The article claims he is a party event planner and knew how parties work. I wonder how he is related to the Salahis and if he told them how the White House security works so they knew that getting through the first check point was the key to entrance. Remember the kiss as they walked away from the first secretary. They knew something at that point.

I wonder if they aren’t being charged because the Secret Service had gaping holes in security and it would come out in a trial. This man also had the same attorney that helped the Salahis at the Congressional Inquiry.

    It just makes me wonder…….

There is a whole culture that revolves around sneaking into or crashing events. I heard a guy on the radio talking about it once. He was writing a book. There are people who sneak into the concerts, political dinners even the Superbowl. The thrill is not in attending the event but sneaking into it. A lot of these people know each other or at least recognize each other. They will not rat each other out. The man mentioned getting caught and escorted out while another notorious crasher watched.
They are all ages, from all walks of life.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Wondering if they also sent a letter to Bravo Andy before their appearance on WWHL? The questions for them were all pretty lame and Andy didn’t seem inclined to make any connection with them (even though they brought the drama to RHODC) and didn’t follow up on anything.

    Thanks for the great blog.

The Salahis are psychopaths, just as Tim said. And I’m not surprised that Diane Diamond wrote a flimsy book on these people. What is that saying, again: Water finds its own level.

I’ve been digging around the net becauae I am a 1000 pound woman with no loved ones (according to TRE the troll) and came across this website; http://voices.washingtonpost.com/reliable-source/2010/08/time-travel_and_old_news_dc_ho.html

Never realized the extent of the Salahis sketchiness. I loved a comment that described how Tareq told his scarecrow wife to call the police after the repo man came to get the keys to the illegally bought Aston Martin and then claimed that the repo man was threatening and abusive to them.

This couple makes me want to punch them. Michaele loves to say that people have physically attacked her (poor Whoppi had to deal with that and so close to the death of her mom, as well as an unsuspecting lawyer)when that wasn’t the case. Maybe after she gets her ass kicked for real, she’ll be able to tell the difference. I don’t condone violence but the scarecrow doesn’t understand the difference between a tap on the shoulder and a punch in the face. This couple brings out the worst in me.

Michaele and Tareq are “stunt queens,” a new description I learned curtosey of RHOA. They make a living by pulling stunts. Such a complete waste of space. Losers.

Michaele is the the ringerleader, imo. She is duplicitious and pretends to be so nice when she is the mastermind. She reminds me of my fiance’s sister. Crazy and unwilling to understand that everyone knows when they see a fraud and looking like a scarecrow with natty blonde weave and orange skin is not a cute look for the 40 plus set. Michaele is just an EPIC FAIL. Try again, please.

    • AZ Girl says:

Whoopie ripped Michaele and Tareq to shreds after the taping. According to Whoopie in her response to the “hitting” charge, Tareq was filming the fight with his phone camera which really set her off. I wished the media would just keep them off the tv then they would go away.

    • Raquel Papel says:

I use to think Mick-Hale was the victim, but after watching the finale and WWHL, I too think she is the mastermind. So much so, that looking like the victim is part of her plan (just in case). She is obviously the smarter of the two, and is the queen of manipulation all the while, making it seem that she is nice and just loves everyone.

  79. WindyCityWondering says:

NeNe is not all that – watching her go all hood rat on Dwayne at the shoe rodeo. First, why would she repeated call out the fact that her husband alledgedly borrowed $10 grand from him (talk about putting your business on the street) – but then she only offered him $500??? And I am sorry to say but her new nose doesn’t fit her face just like that dress on WWHL didn’t fit her body. Calling her a lady is like calling Jill Zarin a good friend!

  80. emt2 says:

I agree that NeNe face looked nice but it didn’t look right w the rest of her body. She was like a pinhead and her legs were just too greasy and her boobs looked vulgar.

She got into Dwights face and looked like a rubbernecked chicken. It was so fake and her alliance w Kim and Sheree is laughable.I heard the secret tape where Greg stated that he went into extreme debt bc of NeNe and I tend to believe that he and Dwight made some kind of deal–maybe not 10 thousand but something. Nene just bothers me more and more everyday. I want to like her but she disappoints me everytime with her hoodrat behavior. She likes to get into people’s faces, wagging her finger and snakingh her head. One day she will get in the wrong person’s face…

    • WindyCityWondering says:

It would take two, ok, three of me to equal one NeNe – but seriously if she did that personal space invading, trash talk yelling, snakey head, finger pointing at me….she would be one hot Atlanta mess on the floor with a 911 call to boot. She can use the gifts God gave her, I’ll use the guy with the badge and the gun. She is the poster girl for bullying!

    • OneMoreInBoston says:

Nope- that girl knows how to pick her victims. She’s street enough to know who to leave alone.

    • Buffywood says:

I don’t watch the Ho Wifes of DC, but I saw the scene with NeNe and Dwight this morning. What the hell do you do in that situation? Dwight handled himself very well, but seriously form a legal perspective what are your options. He tied to touch her to get her out of his space and she said “Don’t put your hands on me”. If in the same position I am afraid I would push the person or god forbid throw a punch. In either case now I can go down for assault, right? Or at least get arrested for the courts to “sort out later”.

      • Buffywood says:

        Correction Ho Wives of ATL

      • WindyCityWondering says:

You would have self defense on your side – what NeNe does is physically menacing and you would fear for your safety….you would tell her to back off and that would be that – game on. Plus she is stupid enough to do it in front of witnesses! IMO she would not handle herself very well in front of the authorities.

        • Buffywood says:

It still would have cost me some $. First defense attorney fees, then civil attorney fees and a new nose for her because without a doubt I would have broken it. Dwight is a better person that I.

  83. AZ Girl says:

Lynda’s blog is up on Bravo. She implies that both Micheale and Tareq were on one side and four other ladies on the other side during the taping. Her blog states: “I was proud to be sitting on Andy’s couch next to three beautiful women.” So the seating was the ladies on one side and the Sahali’s on the other side. Lynda also implies that she let the Sahali’s have it and she states it was the longest reunion taping ever.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

The fact that none at the reunion would sit with the Salahis speaks volumes! Through this season we saw a polarization that unfortunately could not have been avoided because the Salahis could neither apologize or accept responsibility for their actions/lies.
The fact that Bravo devoted so much time to the Salahi story is interesting. They must have had lots of other footage they could have used on the other wives – but we had to see these parasites get ready and then via new outlet footage assault the (our) White House! They can say they were vindicated but they will remain villians because no one at this date can accept that anything that will eventually come out will justify their actions, the wasted time and money spent on the hearings or the stain they have left by their antics!
IMO, they are equally to blame and they did this together – the only victims that were manipulated in this scenerio were the people of the US. While the Salahis will learn nothing from this, my hope is that Bravo did.

  84. Kip says:

I was watching some bonus clips on Bravo online this morning of the RHODC reunion and it looks great. They all seem to really give it to the Salahi’s full barrel!
