I Hate Jill Zarin Top Chef Just Desserts and More

I Hate Jill Zarin    Top Chef Just Desserts              Nov 11, 2010

Just four chef’s left and with the exception of Zac and Yigit they don’t like or respect each other too much.  This episode had a whole lot of Danielle interviews complaining about Morgan, you can’t really blame her, he does seem to be an arrogant bastard.  Morgan has no love for any of his peers so it’s a safe bet he won’t be buying a round of drinks for them with his thousands of dollars in winnings.  Morgan describes Zac as a selfish little brat and threatens to take all of his shit and throw it in the garbage. Wow! Zac tells us that Danielle can’t cook and she looks like Marilyn Manson.  Not quite the love-fest we sometimes see on Top Chef.

Yigit has a decent shot at the title but something always seems to go wrong leaving him just short of the winning dish.   Last week his  sculpture made of sugar shattered and this week another catastrophe leaves Yigit just shy of the prize once again.

The Quick Fire Challenge allowed us to learn a little bit about each of the four remaining contestants, with a room full of Godiva chocolates, the contestants are instructed to create four of their own version of chocolates inspired by four significant events in their lives, the final one being the one golden moment in their life.
The winning chef will be awarded their very own signature chocolate sold at Godiva stores nationwide, two hours later there are cute little boxes with four different chocolates in front of each chef, well, except for the perpetual victim, Yigit, he has just three.

Yigit describes his golden moment as the day he met his man and Bravo provides a photo of the two of them happily posing for the camera, they look eerily alike.  With only three of four complete, the judge immediately writes him off as one of the bottom two without any feedback on his treats.

Danielle talks about her father when describing the baseball shaped candy but her golden moment is when she started her own business and Gail seems happy to have learned a bit more about Danielle.  Chef and Judge Francois seemed happy with her chocolates.

Zac’s golden moment was his folks and their 35th wedding anniversary but he fell into the bottom just ahead of Yigit because he at least did have 4 offerings.

Overdramatic Morgan describes one of his chocolates as inspired by his experience on Top Chef Just Desserts and goes on about how it is crushing his soul?  What?  If winning all that cash is the price for your soul, it explains why he’s such a jerk and he should probably just throw in the towel now and go home.  The judges
are impressed, not by his overdramatic speech about his soul being crushed by Bravo, but by his chocolate inspired by the birth of his son and he wins the challenge.  One of his creations will be sold in Godiva Chocolate stores nationwide, and Morgan gets no royalties from that, sounds like a great prize!  I’ll bet they are selling like hotcakes.

The fact that Morgan shows little to no emotion and doesn’t seem to get excited or even the least bit happy about his win is really starting to grate on the other chef’s nerves.  That just seems to be his lackluster personality, he seems like a deputy downer all the time not even a little smile for the Quick Fire win.

An elderly gentleman enters the Top Chef kitchens and describes how he met his wife over 60 years ago and instructs the chefs that they will be creating an Anniversary cake to celebrate his 61 years of wedded bliss.  The fact that his lovely bride was absent should have been their first clue that she was someone that they were familiar with, alas they’re all shocked when Sylvia Weinstock arrives to join her husband and provide the chef’s with a bit of personal information so that they can become inspired.  The
couple met on a beach, spent time with a grand piano (don’t ask) and have three daughters and six grandchildren.  Now get to work chefs….

Danielle decides that she is going to have grey icing to mimic Sylvia’s dress color, I guess she never saw Steel Magnolia’s because everyone knows that grey icing is reserved for Armadillo shaped grooms cakes.  In the end, however, the design elements that she added like piano keys and pink flowers along with her inventive flavors give her tonight’s win and $15,000 in her pocket.

Yigit’s cake was beautiful but as soon as he cut into it he realized that there was a problem with the texture and he seemed disappointed in himself as he put a mess on a plate to present to the judges.  The details that he incorporated into his design beautifully represented the happy couple but alas, taste is necessary to take the win and Yigit has been slowly falling apart at the seams since his beloved Heather was eliminated.

Morgan had the winning presentation by adding a sculptured grand piano to the top of the cake, the judges agreed his was the best designed, they seemed to enjoy the texture and flavors as well but 2nd place is never enough, is it Morgan?

Zac must have been channeling Walt Disney as he created this over-the-top wedding cake straight out of fantasy land and Sylvia is not impressed, she describes it as “not elegant enough”.  Besides being wildly childlike, the judges don’t care for the flavors and Zac has prepared his final confectionary for the season.

Judges table was a bit strange tonight, as the judges allowed Zac to complain that Morgan isn’t excited enough to be there and seemed to suggest to the judges that choosing the next chef to go home should be based on who wants to be there the most and who smiles the prettiest.  It seemed as though Zac just became desperate when he realized he was most likely to be eliminated and was grasping for anything that could save him.  If we’ve learned anything from years of watching Top Chef, we know that the judges could not care less about attitudes, behavior or whether or not there is smiling going on.

Chef Tom Colicchio, had he been there, would have shut Zac down for even daring to describe Morgan’s robot-like reactions to his many wins.  It makes you wonder if maybe this type of back-biting and criticism of their fellow chef’s goes on at judges table often but ends up on the editors cutting room floor.

It was a shame that Zac went out like that, he couldn’t really go on the attack for Morgan’s dishes as he is clearly a talented chef so he went after his stone like demeanor. As Morgan said, that is just who he is and he can’t pretend to jump up and down like a little girl when he wins, but I’ll bet he’s smiling on the inside.   Zac had to know that his complaints about Morgan’s reactions weren’t going to sway the judges so it would have been smarter to defend your dish rather than go after another chef and leave on such a poor note.

And so we’re down to three and I still don’t think that Danielle deserves  a spot in the top three, but there she is standing in a spot that should have been held by Erica or Heather.  Heather was a cold hearted bitch, much like Morgan but she seemed to be infinitely more talented than Danielle and Erica seemed to have it all, talent and a Zac approved smile.

Danielle, Yigit and Morgan will battle it out next week for the win.  It may be a bit early to talk about another season and I haven’t heard any ratings results from this version of Top Chef but it seems to be a more relaxed version of Top Chef and I really like Gail Simmons in Padma’s role on the show.

Head Judge Johnny Iuzzini just tries too hard and is completely
forgettable, maybe a change is needed there but I’d watch the series again if Bravo chooses to renew it for another season.

Who’s going to win it all?  My personal guess at this point is Morgan, although I’d much prefer if Yigit got it together and stopped making excuses for his blunders and take the win.

And now, Wall St Lady has given us her story of her experience with The Real Housewives Of New York, Simon VanKempen,  fabulous husband of Alex McCord.

When I first spoke w/Simon on the phone for 45min.  (I called
about Lynn’s radio show)  I was delighted that when I said I was Wall St. Lady he knew who I was.  He had just read my post about Jill living “under” the 59th St Bridge.  He said he often reads Lynn’s blog but usually just searches it using certain key words!

Simon said he would love to advertise & be on Lynn’s radio show but not until later when they stop filming.  Alex was running out to film but he put her on the speaker phone to say hello.

Simon told me something I want to share. He said reality TV is just that, real life and you don’t get to separate your on and off camera life.

I asked if he was “mobbed” by fans. He said not so much in NYC but a little when they travel.

Simon told me that when the show was cast Alex got a part on a show about NY Mothers w/kids. Bravo changed the title just after they completed filming.

They did not sign up to be, aspire to, or pretend to be socialites.  They had a contract so they decided to go w/the flow.
Alex is a trained actress and so was used to being directed and they naively fell into some traps. She may have made some statements or looked in the paper too hard to find her picture but she was attempting to fit the story line, trusted the producers and hoped they knew best.

They were hurt that these facts never came out. He said Bravo knew their house wasn’t finished & it had  fit perfectly w/the Mom story line.

Simon said the only set up ever for filming was his appearance for the girls night at Jill’s. This was done at the very last min.&  he was told he must accompany Alex.

He said they had recently filmed at the restaurant across from Jill’s building: Guastavinos, named for the chef. The city spent $30mil to renovate it&  it has the actual walls as the structure
under the 59th St. Bridge. Under the bridge was once an open air market. The ceilings are 4 floors high and are made of stone. It is very cool & I like to go there especially since it is 4 blocks away. Sorry for the digression.

Simon is such a gentleman. He is also extremely charming & w/his ozzie accent u can’t help but love him. Simon  is exactly what we already know on TV.   No pretensions.

Wall St Lady

Wall St Lady also met Alex and Simon shortly after their
lengthy phone conversation.  You can view
the photo of that meeting here:    http://wp.me/PVOhN-95

Over the summer Alex and Simon visited Chicago as part of their book tour and I was lucky enough to meet with them as well, you can read in detail all about that evening here:  http://wp.me/pVOhN-1x

My experience with this lovely couple was much the same as Wall St Lady’s, they are down to earth and lovely people.  There is no fake nonsense, they don’t hide who they are or what they’re all about.  They love each other and are great parents.  While I met them in a group setting, Wall St Lady was lucky enough to have more one on one time with them, met their children who I’m told were extremely well-behaved and she even toured their amazing home.

I admit I’ve been lax on my “I Hate Jill Zarin” duties and many of you may have already heard about and discussed the $15,000 Jill Zarin earned for speaking at The University of South Florida.  The link provided her includes an email from Director of the Center for Student Involvement at the school and explains the relationship between Jill Zarin and Charlie Crist.

Hug a soldier today – Happy Veterans Day !

Until Next Time…..

Regarding Amazon: They are also selling “Understanding Loved Boys and Boylovers.” I cannot believe they think this is okay. I will not buy from them until they stop selling this garbage.

  2. error404 says:

    “Guastavinos, named for the chef”

What chef? Guastavinos is named after the vaulted tile ceiling that supports the bridge anchorage. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rafael_Guastavino
No offense to whomever is the chef, the food is tasty.

  3. error404 says:

The judges liked the look of Morgan’s cake? I missed that. I could have swore the chubby chocolate guy singled out Yegit’s as the most attractive, and Johnny just all out trashed Morgan’s at the judging table. I could have swore they said things like “generic” and “too simple” too, or perhaps that was me! LOL I thought it looked like any cake you could find at any corner bakery.

    • Jane says:

I hope Morgan wins – but you are right – they did think his cake was too simple and didn’t they describe it as dry? I thought they also did not like the chocolate he invented for his son – the chubby chocolate guy labeled it too sweet….maybe I heard wrong. Either way – Morgan deserves to win. Yigit is cracking under the pressure and Danielle is too annoying!!! Going on and on about Morgan last night – she is just plain crazy!

      • error404 says:

See, I thought she was really funny in her talking heads. And there wasn’t really a lot of judgement either, just comic description.

Contrast that with Zac’s desperate plea at the judges table, which was a judgement against Morgan, as well as being said in the wrong place at the wrong time.

        • LynnNChicago says:

One of the judges liked Morgan’s design, in fact said it was the “best presentation” but I don’t think that they all agreed with that.

        • Jane says:

You’re right – it’s just personal…I just don’t like Danielle. I don’t think she really has the same ability the other two do…Zac was desperate – I wish the judges would have done more to shut him up!

  4. MickeyMouth says:

I think Morgan deserves to win. From what has been presented to us he is the better chef. He may not have the winning personality but he has the winning dishes and that’s all that should count in this type of competition. IMHO of course….

Thanks WSL for your accounts of your encounters with Alex and Simon it was very interesting.

One thing stood out to me and made me wonder? Simon states that the he was told he must accompany Alex to Jill’s dinner. Then could Kelly be correct in stating that she was forced to go on the VI trip? It makes you wonder how much the producers influence.

Hug a veteran today! I know I have!

    • LynnNChicago says:

I think the difference between Kelly’s claim that she was forced to go was that Andy Cohen said at least three different times and posted it on Twitter that she was NOT forced to go. Andy hasn’t come forward to dispute what Simon is saying. The other thing is that the way Simon explained it to me was that producers didn’t make a big deal of it, they just told Simon that it was perfectly ok for him to go and encouraged him to go and that they fully expected Ramona to have a negative reaction to Simon being there.

      • MickeyMouth says:

I just wondered since Kelly is extremely inarticulate in voice and in written word, if she was strongly encouraged to attend. That probably would not define forced to anyone but Kelly, but it may have a ring of half-truth to it. Considering the production staff isn’t above manipulating certain situations.

        I don’t think I trust Andy.

        • LynnNChicago says:

I could see that, she was probably strongly encouraged to go not only by Bravo people but probably her own people, knowing that the more air time she receives the better. It may have felt like being forced to Kelly. They may have even told her that her place on the show could be in jeopardy if she didn’t go and that may have felt like she was being forced as well.

        • error404 says:

I don’t trust Andy either, but OTOH I consider Kiki a proven pathological liar, so…

          • MickeyMouth says:

She is like Chicken Little or The Boy who Cried Wolf. This instance here could provide some benefit of the doubt but her own behavior keeps anyone from buying it. I personally don’t think anyone put a gun to Kelly’s head to attend the VI trip, however I do believe she can be manipulated. Example: Jill

    • error404 says:

Simon is IMHO very coherent and understandable. Kiki, not so much. I really think it was one of those Kelly misunderstandings, like her agent kept telling her she had to go in order to stay relevant on the show and somehow in the twisted inner-workings of her half brain, that became “the producers forced me to go”.

    • error404 says:

I find this show harder to understand than Top Chef somehow. When they say something is too salty, or that the red pepper is too overpowering, or that the meat was so tender it melted in your mouth, somehow I feel like I know what they are saying. On Just Deserts, they talk about texture, A LOT, and I just get lost in the details. I get the big picture, like how they oohed and awwed over how delishous Danielle’s cake was, but when it comes down to the nitty gritty of “Morgan’s cake was too dry” vs. “the texture in Yegit’s cake is off”, I’m lost.

      • MickeyMouth says:

I think we talked about this before how subjective the descriptions on these shows are and how misleading they are to the viewer. I wonder if because this is the first season these judges don’t understand that they have to literally described the taste to us viewers if they want us to agree with their decisions in the end.

        • JKW says:

What makes it even tougher is that alot of times they don’t agree. Some love it and others find faults with it. Sometimes the tastes are to strong and sometimes to weak. There has to be flavors they don’t like…so how do they judge something that isn’t their favorite or that they don’t like. I notice Hubert Keller disagrees with them quite a bit. Is this because he is a Chef and not a Pastry Chef ?

      • quincyil says:

I started watching the show a few weeks ago because of Lynn’s blog. When she show the cake on the plate, there is a tiny bit of ice cream. Did they have to make that ice cream too?

        • JKW says:

Most of the time they do make their own ice cream. That explains some of the strange flavors that I have never heard of.

  5. LynnNChicago says:

To all of the WONDERFUL, AMAZING women and a few men who post on this blog:
Yesterday I posted a short comment about how much I appreciate you all but it really only scratched the surface of how I feel about all of you.

I have yet to talk about myself much on the blog so I hope you’ll bear with me for just this once.

In my life, I’ve managed many teams, I’ve had full careers in two different industries, banking and real estate and have had a lot of really talented and intelligent people working with me and for me. I was taught by a very successful and creative boss early in my career that you should always surround yourself with the best and the brightest people you can, teach them everything you know and aspire for them to someday be qualified to perform your job. That is the definition of success, to be able to inspire others to be the best that they can be.

I have been lucky enough to have the ability to form my own teams and have been very successful using this formula. It naturally carried over to my hobby, this blog and I’ve been lucky enough to meet some amazing peers who are talented writers and have also enjoyed blogging.

Never did I expect to be associated with the group of people who have gathered here to discuss reality shows, politics, religion, health and beauty and a whole lot more. I can’t think of a topic that hasn’t been discussed here. Many of you have said that you are always learning new things here and that is true for me as well, I learn new things all the time here from the amazing and highly intelligent group of people who are kind enough to share with all of us here on this blog.

I am humbled by all of you, I’m so impressed with you all, I’m grateful every day that all of you who contribute here have found this site and I’m at a loss as to how to express my gratitude to you all. I really enjoy reading your posts and am so thrilled that you all keep coming back and enjoy being here because obviously without all of you, this would all be meaningless.

It is almost impossible to explain what this blog has become to people who haven’t experienced the love and support that exists here. I have watched you all encourage one another through life’s challenges, share advice and support and we even witnessed a cancer survivor here being sent wigs to wear by another poster here, while going through cancer treatment. Where else on the internet is this possible?

I don’t care anymore if people don’t like the name of the blog, I don’t care that people don’t understand it, the only important thing is that the people who come here on a regular basis, or even every few weeks, or as often as you’re able to come, you all get it.

And so “Thank you” doesn’t cut it not even if I typed it in all caps, it would cut it but it’s all I’ve got…
I truly do love you all!
    Lynn xo

And, as error404 said, it is indeed an ongoing party. Some folks stop by for a bit when they have the time and inclination, others regularly plant themselves firmly on the couch since they don’t want to miss anything. Sometimes some have a little bit too much to imbibe perhaps (metaphorically or otherwise) and get a serious case of the giddies which can make for good fun and late night singalongs. And sometimes an unruly guest comes by, eventually makes a mess, passes out on the floor and has to be carried out.

Thanks to our host Lynn, without whom this gathering place wouldn’t exist, and to the rest of the folks at Lynn’s party, who share observations, stories, information, caring and support, and a lotta laughs. 🙂

I’m so glad to hear of WSL’s interactions with Alex and Simon! I was wondering how she met them.

Love Alex and Simon! I think they are a couple my husband I would enjoy being friends with. I admire their close marriage, devotion to their children, and the fact that they are kind people. Even during conflicts, I never saw them be mean to anyone.

It’s so interesting to learn that Simon showing up for the Girl’s Night Out was a manipulation by Bravo. So did the others not know this ahead of time, and they were hoping someone (Ramona) would have a dramatic reaction? I guess it’s proof that some of the scenarios in the housewives shows are a set-up by the directors.

    • housewifeaddict says:

I love it when we get behind the scenes information. Thanks WSL.

    • quincyil says:

Simon and Alex took the heat for that for ages. So strange that the women wouldn’t accept that the producers told him to attend and let it go.

I wonder if the fights with Ramona were really Ramona’s intransigence. I want to like her, but she has had her moments.

      • KellitaM says:

Yeah, I’m still not sure how I feel about Ramona. There are times that I like her, but she has proven to be incredibly insensitive and has no filter with what comes out of her mouth. And I always cringed when she starts with the braggadocio about how hot she is.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Bravo sets the table and the housewives bring the food and we get the dessert!

    • Need a Hobby says:

Somewhere some time ago Alex said, IIRC, with the producers encouraging that both Alex & Simon attend, Alex contacted Jill after the initial invitation and discussion to check if it was indeed OK to bring Simon, and Jill said yes. So it wasn’t as if Simon “crashed” the party as portrayed, the producers wanted drama and they got it.

Another classy act by Gretchen and Slade, accusing Vicki of faking her operation. Come on people she’s real – she gets ill. Of course, who would blame Vicki for not wanting to go to Alexis’s fashion show. Another whiny fake-boobed hypocrite.

Actually this is the one franchise of the HW series that I have barely watched. I can’t tell these blond big boobed plastics apart – and they come and go too quickly for me to care. But I do know enough to realize that Slade is slimy and icky,

Gosh, because she was bleeding from the colon, she missed the launch of a clothing line by Alexis Bellino. Are they nuts. She was bleeding and needed surgery.

Another clothing line from a housewife that can’t sew, draw a design, or read a pattern.

I am announcing the “I love Lynn” clothing line! I can draw, use a scissors and a needle and thread so I will be producing a line of fashion. The launch party is this Sat. so I had better get to work right now.

      • Kansas Girl says:

I’ve got a sewing machine and can sew without patterns (mostly), so send your drawings on over!

        • quincyil says:

We need to have a plan for our fashion line… a theme…

I bet WSL and Mamaz have some great input…

Something for fancy restaurants, trips to our friends art/charity events, and something for those times that we need to sweep our barn floors. I think pink is out… What goes with dust from the fields?

          • American Idiot says:

And something comfortable for those of us who sit at the computer all day.

          • Kansas Girl says:

Well, we know brown is not an option. 😀

          • MAMAZ says:

Ohh quincy from barn to restaurant can so be done!
I’m really into flannel right now. I’m thinking of a long flannel skirt with a couple layers of lace peeking out. Swap those DuBarry boots for a pair of high heel Fryes. And when you remove the barn coat you have on a bustier. Will that work for you?

And you all better be there bleeding colons or not!

            • quincyil says:

I think that description would work well for me. rotfl… I think my husband would enjoy it too.

My mom thinks that the Chinese have a secret plot. She says that they make bras uncomfortable to punish American women. She has lots of theories.

        • Zoey says:

Oh my gosh, teach me, pleeeaaase?? I have a sewing machine but it doesn’t like me. Or it’s possessed. The bobbin from Hell…

I’ll help sew by hand, though. I can use a mean glue gun and iron on tape!

          • MAMAZ says:

Sorry, that should be YOUR mom. I am not myself today!

          • quincyil says:

I have seen them sew the models into dresses because they were too tight and the zipper was take out. I don’t know if the model had a glass of water or what.

          • Kansas Girl says:

I took a class once where they taught us to adjust the screw of the bobbin case so you could shake it and it went down just a bit. (Hard to describe) If it hit the floor it was too loose. That was sure freeing, as I can now fix the bobbins.

A friend from Costa Rica calls them bobbits. I SO want to call them that.

    • Zoey says:

Wow, Slimy and Gretchen never cease to amaze me with their nerve. Can’t stand either one.

      • MAMAZ says:

Zoey – Sewing is really easy but you have to have a decent machine. The inexpensive models will give you nothing but trouble.
The trick is doing exactly what the pattern says even if it doesn’t make any sense. Don’t overthink it, just do what it tells you to do.

  9. Zoey says:

I must be missing something in Top Chef Desserts, because I just don’t see where the anger and such harshness toward Morgan is coming from. No, he’s not a lovable character, but I think he’s likable. I have seen him react to what other’s have done or said, but I don’t see him starting much of that.

I think he’s probably immature and he’s not a ball of emotion, true, but I’ve seen Zac say some pretty ugly things about others, as well as Danielle. They are jealous and insecure, and that is not likable. Yigit is very talented but other than be devastated over Heather leaving I haven’t seen much personality.

Anyhow, I am not a staunch Morgan defender, just a viewer who kinda likes him and enjoys his skills. Maybe I’ll re-watch the season, maybe I missed some things.
And as I’ve said before, I think Bravo does a terrible job in casting mostly bores on their shows rather than folks with humor and more personality.

    • error404 says:

the whole cast just seems so high school. I think a lot of “stuff” goes down in the loft that’s just too stupid to film… although how Danielle taking cereal into the bathroom was “viewing worthy” I’ll never know, but a lot seems to hinge on childish cliques; “team diva” vs. Morgan being friends with weirdo Seth.

      • JKW says:

I don’t know if Morgan was friends with Seth. I think when he had his breakdown he was decent to him. I think in other circumstances he wouldn’t be such a douche. I know if I had to put up with team Diva when the 3 of them were there…I would probably shoot my mouth off also. Those 3 were just obnoxious. Morgan knows Yigit is his competition and even he said he wanted him to finish the Quick Fire. He didn’t want to win with Yigit being disqualified. I hope Morgan wins.

Error…my theory is that Danielle uses the fiber cereal to soak up the grease on her head. And why is she not wearing a hair net ? Damn.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Morgan isn’t an emotional guy – the other contestants are. He is arrogant but he does have talent and that is what this is really about! And as a fan of desserts, I have such a hard time with this show because whether or not the chefs hit the mark with the judges – I want to sample everything!

      • MickeyMouth says:

“I want to sample everything” Yes! And this show more than Top Chef. Some of those Top Chef dishes are a little to fancy for me. But dessert, what’s not to love, lol!

      • error404 says:

he seems very emotional to me. He’s the only one who got all teary when describing the story behind his chocolates. I think he works hard at keeping control, which is why he was the only one who could deal with crazy Seth. I think he saw a younger version of himself in Seth. I also think that his IMO overreaction to the others taking stuff, or talking smack is indicative of his barely contained emotionality too. I mean, yeah I could see gettign ina back and forth with Danielle about plastic wrap, but to end it by calling her a stupid @#$%.. really? I think he’s got a lot of rage under a very tightly contained exterior.

        • Need a Hobby says:

I’ve noticed that in his talking heads, when Morgan is pissed about something, he uses violent imagery. What he’s going to do to others, etc. He’s wound a bit tight, IMO.

    • Rabble Rouser says:

I think they all rag on Morgan because is the biggest threat.

Zac’s last ditch swing at Morgan at the elimination table was pathetic and sad, I could beleive his complaint was pretty much that Morgan is a gracious winner. Just because someone isn’t boastful, it doesn’t mean they aren’t satisfied. Morgan time and time again proves he is just as gracious a loser than winner- and was the first to congratulate Danielle.

It seemed to me that the judges couldn’t get over the audacity of his argument either.

I think Danielle is a weirdo and despite being able to pull the rabbit out of the hat, I don’t know why she is still around. If a dark horse was going to come in and take the lead in this entire competition, I would have wanted it to be Eric.

      • error404 says:

yes, but I know the feeling too… when someone’s work just seems really blah to you but the critics just eat it up like you’re in some parallel universe. They go thru this in a vacumn and then on tv, it all looks different. I’d eat his cakes, but I wouldn’t share an apt with Morgan if I could help it.

    • American Idiot says:

That is the worst picture of Teresa I have ever seen, and there have been plenty.

      • housewifeaddict says:

There are a few on her blog that are very unflattering. All I can think is whey would she post those of herself. T’s words – okay I left out the “As for their reports, apparently”:

“I am a jealous, party crashing, punch-throwing, family-hating animal. At least when I’m not clipping coupons while crying over how Caroline now hates me and my husband is cheating on me. ”

Hmmm -nothing about the money you owe T?

  12. housewifeaddict says:

Hmmm Dina on another show? Guess she can’t stay away from the spotlight.

The ladies from ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’ know how to stir up trouble on their own turf, and now the ladies we love (and love to hate) are bringing their over-the-top drama to Bravo’s ‘The Fashion Show: Ultimate Collection.’ In an episode airing later this season, Teresa Giudice and Dina Manzo hit the runway in a fashion “make under” challenge and ended up being more than the competing designers bargained for. In the episode, the contestants must try to accommodate Giudice and Manzo’s outrageous demands without losing their own distinctive vision. Will there be table flipping? We’ll just have to watch and see.

Designer Isaac Mizrahi and supermodel Iman, who co-host and are judges on the show, sat down with PopEater to chat about the “prickly” ‘Housewives’ personalities and why Iman’s husband, David Bowie, is staying far away from the catwalk.

    • error404 says:

Last night someone lectured you about the way you spoke to a troll. This person did the same thing to me twice a while back when I was dealing with a prolific troll. Please know that this person is VERY misguided. Don’t take their scolding to heart. Anyone who repeatedly defends trolls has got something wrong with them, not you. Keep your head up, girl!

I was thinking about multiple personalities. I guess if there are enough personalities inside your brain, you really don’t need friends. Just a thought .. a very strange thought.

        I love Kat.

        • klmh says:

I suppose the reason I wrote that, and it took me a while to think about starting a feud, was that this has happened way too many times on this board. I really enjoy the other posters that enjoyed their bashing the new girl on the block. There is something to be said for this type of behavior to a new poster. Someone comes on board and one person doesn’t like her/his post, so the “troll” word comes out. Then another jumps on board and the snark and cruelty begin. Just sad to me.

          • OneMoreInBoston says:

@klmh- I’m trying to understand your point of view, but I guess I just don’t see the pileup on new people that you do.

We usually go out of our way to greet and acknowledge new posters.

When we disagree, I can’t remember one time that a new poster was called a troll.

But when someone comes here and is abusive to others, whether they’re new or not-that’s what I think is sad!

I think we can all agree that the signs of a troll are:
            1) hostility towards other posters
            2) changing identities
            3) links to nonexistent blogs to bolster their credibility
            4) the ability to disrupt the blog with their own agenda

Only when these criteria have been met do I call anyone a troll.

          • American Idiot says:

Sorry, klmh, but I disagree with you here. New posters are always welcome on Lynn’s blog. I have seen it many times. I would not classify NiceGal/Iloveanimals as a new poster. She was a troll, pure and simple. All the signs were there.

As I stated before, I believe she came here or was sent here to try to get Lynn to change the name of this blog.

            • housewifeaddict says:

Remember the scene in RHWNJ on scary island, where everyone finally figured out that Kelly was crazy and decided to stop arguing with her – that’s how I felt about the exchanges over the last few days. At some point it just became sad. I don’t know if coyoteflower is the same person as Nicegirl, but I agree many of the characteristics were the same. I didn’t feel like she was new to the blog, and I was glad when Kat called her out on that last insane post – and thankfully that was the end of that. It was the same way I felt when coyoteflower finally stopped posting a few weeks ago – relieved that we could continue on normal conversations, without all the accusations and attacks.

Now I wouldn’t mind hearing from Rainbow once in a while LOL.

          • quincyil says:

I am not good at picking up on troll like behavior, but from the start, that was not a nice poster. Something was off. She was repeating the posts of others in her long posts, but saying it was her life. I think that some long time people here saw that this was one person who has come multiple times. I think they were correct. With experience and a good memories, they mentioned the patterns of speech that I too remembered.

Because of the previous night’s information, everyone was on the edge. Only Lynn is a rock. LOL… I am more like lumpy clay.

          • klmh says:

Granted, I give everyone a lot of chances. Things happen in our lives and sometimes we come across too harshly. Yesterday she felt she was being criticized harshly and it got worse, and by last last evening, I agreed. She was in defensive mode and to me the last thing she needed was to be bashed again.
I have been on the receiving line of being called a troll here. I am perhaps more sensitive to recognizing snide remarks made to first time posters if they are in general disagreement with the regular posters here. No one, well almost no one, wants to come back to that type of reception.

            • OneMoreInBoston says:

I actually didn’t think she was a troll, until she mistook my little fairytale about ANOTHER troll to be about her. So bizarro because absolutely nothing I wrote pointed to her AT ALL!

Then I started to think her defensiveness was a guilty conscience.

              • klmh says:

I guess I’m stupid, but I didn’t get your fairytale either. I was trying to put different people in different places throughout the tale and just couldn’t get it straight. I don’t know who Wolfie whoever is, but I suppose it is a real troll on others sites?
                Ha! Duh from me…

              • klmh says:

And as you may have noticed, when I feel threatened I don’t back myself into a corner, but come out swinging. She may react the same way, but a bit more robustly!

              • Zoey says:

I don’t know her or have any reason to defend her, but I thought you were talking to her. I was very confused when you said you weren’t.
                Let’s just all start over!!!

              • OneMoreInBoston says:

no you’re not stupid- far from it. I had to be careful because I didn’t/don’t want to “out” WSL’s real identity.

There was a troll here. Lynn took the unusul step of banning the troll.

The troll sent an email to Jill Z. that WSL was stalking her, and included WSL’s real identity.

JZ and JZ’s publicist(?) called WSL to tell her that someone named WSL was impersonating her on Lynn’s site. Pretty freaky right?

Imagine sitting in your office at work and a call gets put through from Jill Zarin?

Well, JZ let WSL know who was the rat. And lo and behold, it was our banned troll.

              • JazzNightOut says:

It was the defensiveness AND the trying so hard to convince the blog that she was innocent that gave her away BUT the talking down to posters the first night rattled my teeth.

            • American Idiot says:

This the last comment I am going to make on this topic, because I have said everything I wanted to. And I think it is time to let it go.

You have been on this blog a while, klmh, and I am surprised you are defending NiceGal/Iloveanimals. To me, it was apparent she was up to no good from the get go. I understand you want to give every poster the benefit of the doubt, but, imo, she did nothing to warrant your support.

          • Zoey says:

I can see a bit of what you saw, but I haven’t been here long enough and there’s a lot of back history.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

@TLD and Kat – it is apparent that you have more experience with trolls and how to handle them – I appreciate that and the fact that you are defending our community from them – warriors both – thank you and I am learning from you both as well!

    • OneMoreInBoston says:

      Agreed with some caveats:

I think it’s admirable to want to give everyone a fair shake. And also admirable to defend others from attacks here.

But I think it’s possible to bend over too far backwards to accomodate everyone here, even trolls.

Kat’s feelings are valid. If she is/was angry about someone on this blog, how is that not as important than the person she’s angry with?

      • klmh says:

I could be dead wrong about Nicegal and I do appreciate you and the others post’s to me, approaching me and not snarking between each other.

    • MickeyMouth says:

No problems at all. Go back and read the admonishment.

After expressing her belief to be a better person, chastising others and equating others posts to a mob mentality she added that it was “imho, of course…”

I just find that a catchy way to end an admonishment of other posters.

      • American Idiot says:

OK, I am so glad someone brought this up. I am guessing you are talking about the post from kmlh at 7:34 am today on the previous blog.

In her post, she asks “Do you think you know who a troll is beacuse of the way they construct a sentence?”

My answer to you, klmh, is “Yes, I do”

        The poster in question:

        1. Changed her name and avatar several times.
        2. Wrote in run on sentences, had poor typing and grammar skills, (not the ususal mistakes we all make), and used no paragraphs.
        3. Shouted at other posters, while continuely telling us how nice she was.
        4. Tried to join in on several conversations, without know what was actually going on.

Yes, I believe NiceGal and Iloveanimals was a troll. She does not have the best interest of this blog at heart. I believe she was sent here by someone to try to get some posters to agree with her that the name of this blog should be changed.

And since she was not here for the right reasons, I have no problem with any poster calling her out.

        • error404 says:

“3. Shouted at other posters, while continuely telling us how nice she was.”

so… Teresa Guidice was posting here? LOL

        • klmh says:

Did you notice she wrote to Lynn and Lynn answered per personal email? Nicegal also mentioned financially supporting her in her radio efforts and I cannot imagine a troll doing this, can you?
She may not have the most eloquent writing capabilities on this board, but feeling attacked at her first posts makes one defensive.

          • OneMoreInBoston says:

@klmh? her first posts were so abusive that they were deleted!

Anyone can set up an email and a PayPal account. I sell on eBay and I see it all the time.

For me, the jury is out whether or not NiceGal/ILoveAnimals is a troll or an asshole. Regardless, she was incredibly rude.

            • WindyCityWondering says:

Said poster also claimed to be a long time reader – yet didn’t pick up on this community’s style of discourse. I was offended by her challenging Lynn to answer her. Who does that???

              • Duchess of Dryer Lint says:

for me the jury came in when she posted that she had changed her name/avatar because she thought Lynn had banned her from the blog, AFTER she posted a very long rant about it being Lynn’s blog and only Lynn could tell her to go away. If she thought Lynn had banned her then why was she still trying to post? Just very strange.

              • klmh says:

                Sorry, I didn’t notice that post…

          • American Idiot says:

I will let Lynn address your first question. Yes, she did say she supported the podcast financially, in fact she yelled at us, many times, to READ THE PLEA, calling way to much attention to her donation, making sure we would think her legit. I am sure some of us have donated to Lynn, but have we posted about it, no. She is not defensive; she is a troublemaker, with an ulterior motive.

            • klmh says:

Guess that’s how some people react to being threatened…

              • OneMoreInBoston says:

I agree with you. That IS how some people act when threatened.

It may also be that he/she is legit and only read Lynn’s blog but not the 500-600 comments per day that are generated which is why she didn’t quite fit in with our style.

I don’t know if this person was a troll or not. But I do know that their behavior was abusive and out of line, from the very first posts, so much so that they were deleted.

This poster came here looking for a fight. And you’re right, it could be some terrible things are happening in this person’s life to make them act out in this way.

But I believe the larger community’s well being is more important than the well being of one poster. If this poster was alienating and insulting others, troll or not- they have to go.

              • MickeyMouth says:

                Who threatened her?

              • quincyil says:

No one threatened her. Her first posts went unanswered and that angered her to the point of screaming. She was demanding that we obey her. That is not new girl on the block behavior. This board welcomes reasonable people every day. People disagree, and their opinions are accepted. I see it here every day. There is nothing wrong with this community.

              • Duchess of Dryer Lint says:

What, klmh, when threatened you change your name and avatar and then come back to try again? No one threatened her.

There were so many posts that day, and many deleted by the time I began to read, and just a lot of hints about what was going no, but not too much information – so I didn’t start thinking Nicegirl was coyoteflower until the WSLs poem and subsequent posts, but she sure seemed to act defensive. I think the order of the posts – where new posts can be added up-post where I rarely go back to read – all adds to the confusion. So I’m going to chalk all this up to the confusion, and some people jumping to a conclusion a lot earlier than others. But at this point I think we can all agree that when someone gets abusive enough that Lynn deletes their posts, they can’t pretend to be victims.

              • klmh says:

MickeyMouth and quincyil, how would you feel if you wrote a short post and then posters come out of the woodwork and tell her they would like to kick her ass, laughing at her “behind her back”, calling her troll. Anyway, I can go on, just read what was written last night. That is threatening to me.

              • housewifeaddict says:

But @klmh – that short post came after all the rants and deleted posts. No one reacted to what she said in that specific post – it was just like “the song that never ends, it just goes on and on my friends,” you get the point.

              • MickeyMouth says:

I would feel bad if it happened in that order. But it didn’t. She was questioned why she was volunteering a name change to the blog. And, bam she came out swinging! She told posters to shut their hole and called them ignorant a-holes. She gave absolutely no one the benefit of the doubt that posters kept trying to give her. That included the poster she initially had issues with. She made all those comments before Kat in humor or frustration made her comment. It was so bizarrely passive aggressive. Claiming to be a victim while attacking others is often troll behavior.

              • klmh says:

I try to keep timelines straight, but I think housewifeaddict probably summed it up best. There were so many posts and I simply didn’t see some of hers. I knew she was upset and ranting, but just passed the content by. I knew Lynn had removed some posts but I thought they were from someone else, not Nicegal. They were listed as anonymous.

            • LynnNChicago says:

For the record, I have not received any financial support from Nicegal and she has not asked for an address to mail anything.

              • Duchess of Dryer Lint says:

And there you have it. The main point she was using to justify her rant is a lie. Thanks Lynn.

              • housewifeaddict says:

                Another piece of the puzzle.

Is she the same IP as coyoteflower?

              • klmh says:

Well, there ya go. I was WRONG. Damn, I hate writing that…

                Nicegal, you stinker you.

Sorry to all the posters that defended their position well. You win!

              • JazzNightOut says:

There it is in black and white. There was a white heat to her posts that does not happen when someone is sincere.

              • LurkerAlso says:

And even if she HAD given support, there is nothing worse than trying to jam it down our throats and demand that she have her way/be given carte blanc just because of it.

                Sounds like a true mess.

            • quincyil says:

klmh, I have many times replied to your posts telling you that I agreed with you because you made the comment once that no one here ever agreed with you.

I made a mistake about a song in “West Side Story” last night and a bunch of my fellow board members had belly laughs at my error. Lots of people disagree with me. It’s ok.

I was the new kid on the block at one time. I think you are unsure of yourself, but I can’t imagine people would think I was a troll, because I am not aggressive. That’s the thing about these individuals, they want control. Normal women and men posting here don’t demand that. It’s a sign that something is wrong.

Honestly, I have tried to be a friend to you here. You might not have noticed, but others will back me up on this.

              • klmh says:

              • klmh says:

Oh, its a long story about the troll moniker. I think it was OTAY that started it, but the word was picked up and used by others as well.
But, Im not unsure of myself. If that was the case, I wouldn’t still be here.
I am a very lucky person and love and protection have always been there in my life. I simply feel the need to protect those that I feel are unjustly being hammered. I do seem to lean toward the underdog in situations, and this is how I viewed Nicegal. Live and learn. I will try to refrain from detrolling someone for at least 48 hours next time though. Watch and wait is my new motto!

              • quincyil says:

I was taken in by that person and by the person discussed last night. I can be naive. It’s probably true that my nature is to be Pollyannaish.

I want to be friends with everyone here. If someone needs a hand, I will offer mine.
I said the first night that I thought something was wrong and it was.

              • Need a Hobby says:

Sorry, Quincy, I know the West Side Story thing was just a slip of memory…we all have them.

I don’t think anyone was laughing at you. The vision of a mash up of WSS and Fiddler on the Roof, though, was funny.

              • quincyil says:

It made me happy that people could laugh. We all need to laugh at our mistakes. Senior moments are funny.

  17. Wall St Lady says:

    Hi Mr Error404
I said the thing about “Guastavinos. The 1st week it opened I went to a party there. I could have sworn when I asked the man who was the head staff person he said it was after the chef ! Is “Guastavinos Italian ?
The food revolves around a large iced table w/fresh fish (head on)& many other raw sea food.
    Simon said they filmed there.
I appreciate ur correction. Nothing like saying something stupid in cyberspace. One of the things I love about Lynn’s blog is that stupid gets corrected pretty fast.

The 5th Ave Veterans parade is gigantic. All traffic blocked. I need to leave b4 I have to walk home.

    • error404 says:

did you ever go to the “whispering arch” in Grand Central outside of the Oyster Bar? It’s a cool trick, and a nice Guastavino cross barrel arch.

      • Duchess of Dryer Lint says:

See, now here is my thing—I walk into a restaurant and a fish head is staring back at me, I am leaving. Maybe it is a wierd Ohio thing, but I never did like my food looking back at me.

        • Kansas Girl says:

LOL! I’ve been known to cover it with a napkin or turn the plate so it’s looking at someone else. But then I’ll do anything for good fish.

          • quincyil says:

Hmmm… There was a Maywood, IL., Jewel T that had the whole pig head in the meat department. I couldn’t go into that section. I lived on yogurt.

            • Duchess of Dryer Lint says:

Yup. I just eat it. I prefer not to be reminded of where it came from. Niave, maybe, hypocritical, very possibly, but true all the same.

        • error404 says:

Ha. I know a lot of people like that. Me, I grew up around seafood… shucking quahogs and eating them raw..yum!

    • Kansas Girl says:

Is the restaurant kind of an off-shoot or play on the former market place that was there? The “iced table” makes me wonder.

I’m feeling just a little vindicated for saying a couple days back that the noisy old bridge is beautiful architecture. But then I’m a sucker for old buildings!

WSL, you continue to make me curious about life in the city. How do you (or anyone) get to work? Subway? Taxi? I love your descriptive bits, as I am terminally curious about life in other places. Case in point — never occurred to me that you’d not be able to have garbage disposals, but of course that now makes sense. Thanks! Glad you’re back and survived!

      • error404 says:

there’s a super market there too, with probably the world most beautiful supermarket ceiling! lol
and a Conrand’s, but that’s in the basement.

  18. shamrockblonde says:

Lynn – thanks so much for those beautiful words – they say that what you put out in the universerse comes back to you – if that is true, then much love, respect, laughter and courage are surely on their way to you and your beautiful heart – I don’t get here very often, but whenever I do, I find an open door, a welcoming hug and warmth that comes from being in the company of loved ones – thank you so much for all of that –

as for TCJD – I think Morgan will win – his personality is not the best, but I have to say that most of the contestants fall very short of the caliber of person that I have come to expect on these shows – think last year’s Top Chef – the brothers, Kevin, that very nice woman whose name I cannot remember – they all helped each other even though they were in a competition – they respected each other and wanted only to compete against the best – even in defeat they were graceful and humble – this group needs to take a page from their book – but as far as talent goes, and talent alone, I would have to say that Morgan is the clear winner –

    • housewifeaddict says:

I’m rooting for Yigit. He annoys me less than the other two. But I’m just not feeling this series.

  19. TrueLifeDiva says:

    @MickeyMouth, okay gotcha! 😉

  20. Duchess of Dryer Lint says:

I may not know a troll from the bridge they live under, but I do know when something isn’t right. I NEVER comment on that kind of stuff, but yesterday had to ask a few questions because the poster in question just was not making any sense. I was honestly trying to figure out WHAT she was talking about, and why she kept contradicting herself. Then, cdnFillie dropped her fortune cookie and I don’t care who you are, that was funny. It is one of the few times I have actually hit a giggle fit that would not stop. Then Kat, sweet, gentle, wonderful Kat, OMG for our Kat to drop the whup ass bomb–I had to comment and I had to laugh. Sorry if I offended anyone, but my record on this blog should speak for itself. I am not normally one to jump in, but again, that was some wierd stuff.

    • quincyil says:

from day one… Something was wrong…

      • Duchess of Dryer Lint says:

Thanks Quincy! I respect you sooo much so for you to say that means (in this particular instance) I was not off base! It is very reassuring to know that the hamsters on the brain wheel occasionally hit the right speed for me!

    • WindyCityWondering says:

my trolldar was going off as well but I to lost it with the fortune cookie/kick your ass combo

      • Duchess of Dryer Lint says:

I am not exaggerating when I tell you I literally laughed until I cried and it hurt! Granted it was late, and I was brain fried from studying, but seriously–that was too much!

        • WindyCityWondering says:

          a good laugh is priceless!

          • MAMAZ says:

I don’t know if Nicegirl is wolfietulips or not. But I’m with OnMoBo, it doesn’t matter, she was rude.

The first time most people post here it’s just a little hello, a thanks to Lynn for providing a much needed laugh and maybe weigh in on something that has them really irritated. I think it took quite a bit of nerve for someone to come on as a first time poster and start making suggestions to Lynn on how to name her blog and run her webcast.
And as Duchess pointed out for someone so sensitive to the word hate she was pretty free with BITCH and WHORE.

So a warm welcome to all newcomers who are genuinely interested in participating here. And for those looking to spread dissent and instigate trouble – move along.

I am grateful to Jill Zarins over the top unjustified and bogus attitute resulting in me finding this fabulous circle of friends. Its been wonderful and other than checking for emails, i spend WAYYY too much time here I know. But “Who’s gonna check me Boo?” only my dog. I wish I could hug my vietnam veteran today but you all know the story on that and my other veteran who still serves, my only child Kevin is currently stationed in Quantico Va and I am in Fla.. I will send him the (((hug))) anyway. Pray for our current service members and their families as you know its hard to watch them serve when sometimes they are vastly underappreciated. My sons is close to his 20 years after this term, but will probably continue in the service due to his rank and position. Happy Veterans day and Happy Thursday sisters and brother in the Lynn Family.!!!

    • American Idiot says:

All the best to your son, and all who serve. I am happy to see Veteran’s Day is getting the attention it deserves.

    • DarkSonnet says:

I am truly appreciative of all the service people who have served, are serving now and will serve in the future. The gift they give is immeasurable.

Much appreciation for both your & your sons service,. may you both be long lived, healthy& happy.

      • MAMAZ says:

jeang – You must be very proud of your son. My father was career military. My husband is retired military but still employed by the DOD.
Having family in the armed services isn’t easy. There is a lot of sacrifice that civilians aren’t really aware of.
Many thanks to all our vets.

You have every right to be proud.

I will add Kristin to my prayers.

I have heard and read of this before, but I still don’t get it. Funerals of fallen soldiers are no place for this type of protest

I would be very honored to live in a town like this.

I remember reading about this. My father was both in the Navy and the Marines. I have a huge respect for anyone who’s job is to put themselves in harm’s way to protect me and my rights. God bless your town and the family of the fallen soldier. God bless all those who protect us.

What a wonderful community you live in. I am glad they were able to enlighten these people what love really means! You would think the pastor of a church would know already.

      • Kansas Girl says:

Westboro is not a normal church. It’s a hate group, a family, and they use religious status for protection. Really an ugly situation with brainwashing and apparently some violence. (Many articles online about the truth behind the group.) An embarrassment for the entire state.

    • twoile says:

I read about the towns reaction to the “asshats” & was very impressed, continued blessings for all.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Happy Memorial Day! Not everyone gets Veteran’s Day off – weirdly enough – public (like courts, post offices etc) services, some banks do. Stranger still is the school districts that have the day off….too bad they aren’t learning about Veteran’s Day!

      • justanothermary says:

I’m a Postmaster with the USPS so I have the day off. My father, nephew and husband have all served and I have the greatest of respect for all our vets. Thank all who have served and pray for the families of the fallen.

  25. Adgirl says:

It’s Veteran’s Day! Thank goodness for the brave men and women who protect our rights and freedom. Thank you!

When my kids were little we used to spend July 4th in the Sierra foothills. One town hosted a giant parade down their main street.

A huge crowd from all over the county would line the street. Everyone was given a small American flag which they waved wildly during the parade. The parade itself was a lot of fun – everyone from the area who belonged to an organization or owned a uniform was in this large parade! Boy Scouts, 4H kids with goats, nurses, marching band, Rotary club, little girls in tutu’s all participated.

The highlight was the veterans walking in their uniforms. The finale featured a WW l vet in a vintage convertible. He gently waved at the crowd. Everyone was crying and waving their flags as the old guy passed.
That was one of the most moving experiences of my life.

    • quincyil says:

I think this intelligent discussion has made the board stronger and more resilient. This is an open place. When new people pop up, many posters say, “Welcome, please stay.” We all want Lynn to be successful.

Now, if WSL, will tell us more about NYC, I would be in heaven. We could discuss my road, which got tar last year for the first time in 200 years, and the neighbors calves that ended up in my yard last night, but I think restaurants with 4 story ceilings and fish that come with their heads on the plate are more interesting. Of course, the calves eating my last flowers of fall could be of interest to people from Kansas.

      • Duchess of Dryer Lint says:

as long as you don’t leave the heads on the cows when you serve them up I am good to go!

      • Kansas Girl says:

You talkin’ to ME? LOL! We have cows that eat flowers too.

I’d love to hear about NYC and Quincy too. I’ll contribute life in a college town where you just never know what those kids will come up with!

        • quincyil says:

Kansas has a lot of history just like NYC. We had a relative working at Boeing in Wichita so we went to their zoo and the old town. Great fun.

We have Hannibal and our town in quite historic.

NYC has history, literature, and huge number of ethnic restaurants. We could send WSL out every night to sample the food for us. There was a Cuban restaurant near Times Square that I loved.

We did notice that our WSL is not afraid to use the Brooklyn Bridge and visit people outside of Manhattan. It amazes me that people from NYC, like Ramona, have feelings about other parts of their city.

I understand that Sutton Place is highly regarded and that the area where Jill lives less so. Kelly and Betheny live in Soho, but the Countess didn’t like that area.

Sonja has a town house and it’s worth 10 million. I guess a garden in Manhattan is very expensive.

Ramona wanted a prewar apartment and settled. It seems prewar is better.

          It’s interesting to me.

I’ve walked all over Manhattan. The Fish Market area smelled awful. I wouldn’t buy an apartment anywhere in that area.

          • American Idiot says:

My daughter has gone to college in NYC for the last 3 years and she loves it. She is always exploring and finding something new – $1 sushi, $5 manicures, sample sales. She has seen the Kardashians filming and also Gossip Girl. But no housewives, not yet anyway.

          • OneMoreInBoston says:

Sometimes I see overzealous NYC landlords/management companies that own property up in Boston describe apartments here “as prewar”

            Which war boo?

            Whole damn town is prewar!

            • quincyil says:

I think WWII….Sutton Place had an architect that built in the 1920s and 1930s according to Wikipedia. It makes sense that people would put more money into those places before the depression.

          • Zoey says:

I wonder if you don’t smell it after a while?

          • error404 says:

“pre-war” is a very specific NYC RE term which means a multi-unit elevator building built of concrete construction in the 1920s and early 30s.

on the plus side, they usually have large bedrooms and huge living rooms, and are often sunny. One thing that drives me crazy about them is they all seem to have tiny closet sized kitchens. Totally rediculous to have a liv rm the size of a football field and a kitchen too small to fit more than one person at a time in IMO.

          • Kansas Girl says:

I find the NYC neighborhoods confusing. Finally discovered maps that label them, but of course that doesn’t help know which are “in” or “out”.

I hate to admit how much time I’ve spent with Google and Bing maps lately. It’s like being there. Well, kinda.

Quincy, I have relatives in the Kahoka & Keokuk area. Fam history there since 1840s.

            • quincyil says:

Wow…the Black Hawk War was fought when your family was there. You have to google it. President Jackson was a monster. Honestly, it’s a part of our history that has not been taught in school. Up and down the Mississippi right in that area are markers. Lt. Lee who later lead the Conferacy surveyed the river for the US government. There are the remnants of an old fort. I hope you can take the Great River Rd sometime and see where your family lived.

              • quincyil says:

Confederacy… this computer is loading slowly because there are so many posts so it’s going in and out of phase like something you see in Stargate Universe.

              • Kansas Girl says:

I’ve visited. A cousin still lives there and showed me all the sights. There’s a book too. Yes, they were involved in the Black Hawk War. He was a politician. A county is named for him. There have been 6 people in the family with his name (before and after him), a rather unwieldy name. One cousin said “Thank God that tradition died out!” when the last one died without passing the name on. Many tales about that family. My grandma went back every summer for the fair (and to show off her city girl manners, LOL).

      • Dawn says:

I was out driving today and was entranced by the vision of a foal heartily sniffing a sitting cow. It was like a scene from a Disney movie for me. The baby seemed to be saying, “what are you?”

        • Kat says:

This made me laugh out loud. I hope the foal finds his mama.

        • quincyil says:

I’ve seen abandoned foals nurse from goats, but never a cow. Goats will take just about any baby in. They are the adoptive moms of the animal kingdom.

    Can’t wait for tonight’s episode:

Kyle Richards is no longer interested in settling her ongoing feud with ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Camille Grammer.

“I just kind of learned to say to myself that everyone isn’t meant to be friends,” she says.

On tonight’s episode, the bad blood grows thicker when the well-heeled women travel to Broadway for Kelsey Grammer’s opening night in ‘La Cage Aux Folles‘.

“This is where all the drama kicks off,” Kyle told xfinityTV.com. “My problems with Camille started off camera and we tried to address it and fix it on camera…but it all just went wrong.

Set your DVR to record ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’

“All the drama was because she said that I said something that never came out of my mouth. And I was really upset because it was something that was offensive to me and was attacking my character.”

I have been accussed of saying horrible things to one very important person in our society. I actually said, “Red was out of style.” Our JC Penny was having a lot of pastels that month. I was univited to a beginning of the year doctor’s wives auxilliary after the board of said auxilliary was told of my evil words.

BTW… who looks under a table to see if someone has red on when they make huge statements like “red is out of style” anyway. rotfl…

I quietly quit that group and they didn’t get my one hundred dollars a year membership fees for 30 years, which would be 3,000 dollars now.

Apparently, people hear what they want to hear. I’m with Kyle Richards on this one.

      • JazzNightOut says:

I am too. Camille just added the comment about her not being important without Kelsy there to bolster her ‘schick’ for the show. Why would Kyle say that about Camille’s trip to Hawaii; didn’t even follow the conversation they were having.

        • JazzNightOut says:

          can’t spell “schtick”.

          • Amber...Real Wife says:

I agree with you both. Nutty people hear what they want to hear. They are quick to misunderstand your words and even quicker to spread the “comments” to others. You can’t convince them otherwise so you just don’t bother.

      • Rabble Rouser says:

I am leaning towards believing Kylie too- not that I think Kylie is necessary above saying anything mean or catty but the context Camille framed it in just doesn’t make sense. They are taking about Hawaii and actives to do there= then BAM out of nowhere Kylie zings her?

If Camille had said something like, “We are going to Hawaii because it’s a nice break from the paparazzi” and Kylie responded by saying “Why would they care about you without Kelsey around” I would be more likely to believe it (and also agree) .

  28. Jessie says:

I don’t post much (maybe 3 posts total in what feels like at least a year!) but I will say what really keeps me here, other than the mutual hate of these housewives, is that I can read and understand posts. If you go to the bravo blog comments or those message boards it is illegible and you can’t read it.

I’m a refugee from TWOP, and those posts are mostly legible, but I know here I can get the whole story and the truth and opinions of others that I can read and understand with mostly respectful comments or opinions. I still hate Jill but I hate Teresa more, and here is where I can have those feelings and feel justified in my compete disgust on what happens in these shows.

I don’t agree on some posts, and I totally agree on others. Most of time here it is a great clash of opinions with many solid facts and reasons for their feelings. But I will also admit the “trolls” to me are great entertainment and while I understand regular posters frustration I can’t help but love when it happens.

The last few days have been great for me with the renewed Jill talk and the behind the scenes gossip. I just wanted to give my opinion now on why I lurk, why I stay, and why this place means so much. (Also that wolftulip thing was made of genius that was posted on the last blog…i laughed so hard after being able to translate the wolftulip (I think that was the reference) and it was great.) I was lurking for that one and at first I’m like this poor girl and actually felt some anger towards the ones she was accusing…until the whole story came out! now I realize what is here is not all there is in the cyberworld and feel bad it is spilling out in ways that Lynn has to defend.

I think is why I feel the need to post this long ass message. I love it here and feel that it is time for the “lurkers” to come out in support too!

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Hi Jesse – very nice post!

    • quincyil says:

I am glad you are here. I hope you laugh with me when I screw up.

    • OneMoreInBoston says:

I thought “wolftulip” was almost too obvious when I wrote it! Like people would roll their eyes.
But it surprised me how many people didn’t make the connection.
Which is a lesson in a way.
People have very, very short memories. Which is why, sometimes, good people get duped by the same bad people over and over.

      • American Idiot says:

I have to admit, OMIB, I didn’t get it right away. Someone said the clue was “in the name” and then I got it.

Just want to say thank you to you, Lynn and WSL for keeping all the members who post here up to date with that whole situation. You didn’t have to; you could have just kept it a secret. But you knew some of us were curious, wondering, and worried. And so you let us know what was going on.

I find that very admirable. So thanks again to the 3 of you.

      • quincyil says:

I got wolftulip after someone else pointed it out. At my age, there is a time delay, but eventually that word comes to mind.

      • Jessie says:

I KNEW who you were referencing but could not for the life of me remember her name. Then I’m like ok wolf and flower….than it just hit me (thank god cuz that probably would’ve made me nuts trying to remember).

Thanks for all the positive responses! I worried bout stirring up trouble to bring up again, but I believe 100% that everyone here is interested in others comments and would like us “lurkers” to come out more. I’m going to make that effort. It is easy to read, analyze and judge…but it is harder to put your opinion out there to be read, analyzed and judged. I hope I can “expose” myself more and look forward to it.

      • housewifeaddict says:

        @ OMB
I have an awful memory, and was too lazy to hunt back through the posts to make the connection – but I began to pick up on the gist of things as more people commented. But Nicegirl sure picked up on it quickly LOL.

    • American Idiot says:

Jessie: “now I realize what is here is not all there is in the cyberworld”

So true; and so nicely put. Post more, you write very well.

    • MoDee says:

Hello…my name is MoDee and I’m a closet lurker, too.
whewww, so good to get that off my chest. Just like you, I really enjoyed all the drama going on with the troll yesterday and the smackdown of said troll (is that bad of me to say?) Now, if only that would happen on Bravo once in a while!

When NiceGal came on, I knew something was up, but thought to self, maybe Lynn knows her from Twitter or something for her to get so personal about her radio show, Carly Hall, and changing blog name, because no one comes on here first time posting and say something like that without knowing the atmosphere. It didn’t take long to figure out that trolls were invading and I was going to have an entertaining day…I didn’t know that my enjoyment was not entertaining for other people, so sorry WSL , Lynn, and anybody else that got caught in the crosshairs. But I have to say that YOU LADIES ROCK!!! I have never laughed so hard at reading a blog. Just please don’t judge other Missourians the same as CoyoteFlower/KirksvilleMo. We’re nothing alike!

@ShamrockBlonde….Westin is beautiful and so are the people. So sorry for your friend’s husband, my heart goes out to them and praying that all will be right for them someday, and peace be with them.

    • KellitaM says:

Yay for supportive lurkers! I was one, too, for a while.

    • Kat says:

      Welcome Jesse!

      • Zoey says:

        Hi to Jessie and MoDee!

        • JazzNightOut says:

Welcome to all lurkers; we all were lurkers at the beginning.

          • Zipit Zarin says:

Hi Jessie and MoDee 😀 Yeah, JazzNightOut, we were all lurkers at some point. And I agree, that while trolls are a PITA it’s highly entertaining. Gotta admit. The best part is them thinking we’re stupid…like Foghorn does (could that be why they support her?)

  29. Duchess of Dryer Lint says:

Like I said, klhm, I never (well, almost never) put my .02 into a drama filled situation, and when I have it is usually trying to be a peacemaker. I simply wait it out and see what reveals through the posts. When nicegal changed her moniker and then explained she did it because she tried posting under her original and it did not go through, so she thought she had been banned it confirmed for me that her intent was to stir the soup. That is when the fortune cookie got dropped and Kat finally got fed up. I hope you will always be here to defend any position you take! I personally enjoy many of your posts. The diversity of this group is what keeps me coming back, and I actually hate when drama takes over. Especially when I am playing catch-up and trying to figure out what in the hell is going on!
We can ALL agree on one thing—WE LOVE LYNN AND THIS BLOG! (see, no “hate” there! LOL)

  30. housewifeaddict says:

This is a nice summary of some of the newer housewives. I’ve got to say I agree for the most part.

I especially liked this take on Phaedra:

“Phaedra, The Real Housewives of Atlanta
In no way is new Atlanta housewife Phaedra likeable, BUT her overly-materialistic, judgmental personality makes for outstanding television. The entertainment attorney hates it when people judge her ex-con husband, Apollo, for his past (“it was a white collar crime — he’s no different than Martha Stewart!”), but seems to spend the majority of her screen time judging others and/or bragging about her many accomplishments. “

  31. WindyCityWondering says:

@klhm – thank you for giving the benefit of the doubt and for your tendencies to support the underdog.
On another blog I witnessed names being stolen, truly nasty attacks and it was unpleasant for everyone. After having a troll bomb lobbed at me, I was upset but I didn’t respond (and boy did I have some excellent remarks rattling around in my brainpan!). Eventually without an audience or interaction trolls do go away.
And a thank you to those who know when something is truly off with a posting or have that deja vu spidey sense warning system go off. None of us come here to attack each other and what happpened yesterday was unfortunate but also a blessing in disguise. Together questions were asked/answered, humor was used and it made us stronger as a community. We didn’t turn on each other, we didn’t go ballistic, we understand each other better and best of all – we all still hate Jill Zarin!

    • oldcrone says:

      Very well put!

I don’t know if klhm saw my other reply to her up the thread, but I was duped also by nicegal/iloveanimals. I don’t have a radar for trolls.

Anyway I couldn’t leave klhm hanging as the only one. I too was duped.

I am amazed at how every one worked this whole thing out. You all are my favorite site!

    • klmh says:

Well said. I’ll try not to jump in and save the day, when its night time. Appreciate your patience with my naiveté…

      • American Idiot says:

That song from Saturday Night Live just popped into my head. When Andy Kaufman plays a record on the record player and sings the line “Here I come to save the day”

        • klmh says:

Mighty Mouse on the Captain Kangaroo show. But you’re probably too young to remember?

Here I come to save the day!”
That means that Mighty Mouse is on the way!

Yes sir, when there is a wrong to right
Mighty Mouse will join the fight
On the sea or on the land
He gets the situation well in hand

So though we are in danger
          We never despair
‘Cause we know that where there’s danger
          He is there!
He is there! On the land! On the sea! In the air!

          We’re not worryin’ at all
We’re just listenin’ for his call:

“Here I come to save the day!”

That means that Mighty Mouse is on the way!

          • MAMAZ says:

I was just thinking about Andy Kaufman today. I heard that REM song on the radio with the line about “Andy are you goofing on Elvis” and I got all misty.

I’m really emotional today for some reason!

          • American Idiot says:

I did not know that. I always thought it was an SNL song.

Good for you and your memory.

I know who Captain Kangeroo and Mighty Mouse are, of course. But you’re right, I think I may have been too young to watch them.

If you’re a lurker dropping in to say hello and expect a warm welcome you’ve come to the right place. Heyyyy MoDee!

I didn’t mean the bridge is ugly. But u woulnt want a RR track 50 feet from your home. Its very noisy w/cars roaring 24/7. I will send a picture taken from my window in my apt. Of the bridge. At night it twinkles and is a beautiful view

    • OneMoreInBoston says:

do you wave to the trollies below?

      (sorry, couldn’t resist!)

    • quincyil says:

We like the photos of NYC. If you see something of interest, let us look too.

    • Kansas Girl says:

      Looking forward to your picture(s)!

I know what you mean about living too close to the tracks, and yes that would be annoying. I visited someone once who did, and it was not a restful night. They say they hardly heard the noise after a few weeks! Where I live, the tracks are about a mile away, so I only hear the hooting at night when it’s still — and love the sound. (BTW, in all this searching, one of the real estate articles about JZ’s apt said it has a view north, east and west, so she must not look right down on the bridge.)

      • Dawn says:

My son lived in Chicago and the el went right past the window of his apt. Every time that I spoke with him on the phone it would go past multiple times during the conversation and I would forget and say, “what was that?. ” When I stayed overnight, it was difficult to acclimate to the noise but he appeared not to even notice it.

thank you so much – all of you – but I should explain that Kristin and I do not live in the same area – I live in NY – actually on Long Island, but Kris and I have been friends for a number of years now – and I love her town too!!

thank you again for all the prayers and the support – I will be passing them on to Kristin – and it may sound corny, but I am so very proud of all of you – thanks again – *hugs the entire board*

  37. housewifeaddict says:

Here are some photos of our BH ladies:

    • housewifeaddict says:

I like Lisa’s dress – but her tights are a little too fussy with the dress detail. I do agree that Adrienne looks good in the photos, less plastic and swollen. Poor tay tay – not her best look.

      • klmh says:

The first thing I thought of when I saw the hose is that she’s trying to cover up some varicose veins that can’t be excised or injected. I have no fashion sense though…

        • MAMAZ says:

Textured tights are very in right now but I agree they were too much with that dress.
Camille really does have a fabulous body.
Taylor must take fashion tips from KKB.

          • American Idiot says:

According to Hoda and Kathie Lee, hosiery is the new must have accessory this fall/winter. I hardly wear dresses or skirts, but some of the hose they had on their segment were too much. One model looked like she had paint spatters all over her legs.

  38. housewifeaddict says:

Looks like Jill invited Alex to her fundraiser for anti-bullying – perhaps this was the cause of the back and forth tweets. Seems like everyone was there but Sonja. I’m not naive enough to think they’ll ever be friends – and with all the stuff going on here in the last few days I don’t think JZ has changed – but – deep sigh – wouldn’t it be nice if she was at least trying to be pleasant to her co-stars. It’s better than refusing to film with them.

    • quincyil says:

Did Jill ever state her reasons for championing this particular charity?

      • housewifeaddict says:

Didn’t it all start after she did the PR mess on any twitter bullying – and she realized/was told that she was being ridiculous and needed to find a real case of bullying to stand behind. Not that I’m complaining, any celebrity bringing awareness to a real issue is okay in my book – even if it is a little self-serving as well for them.

        • quincyil says:

Bullying has gone on since the cave men days.

It just seems to me that Jill is a bully. She certainly acted that way in season 3.

          • housewifeaddict says:

Agreed she acted like a bully season 3, and even season 1 & 2 (against Ramona – remember Team Jill).

      • housewifeaddict says:

        Here’s another article:
Jill is determined to make the world safer for today’s youth and her fellow Real Housewives have her back!

But I’m always glad to see that Alex is also quoted – and always has something interesting to say:

“The self-esteem issues that kids and teens experience often stay with them for life, and in some tragic cases, cause them to end it,” adds Alex. “I was one of the lucky ones that never had bullying problems, but there are many adolescents who do. While Simon’s and my 5- and 7-year-old sons have special computer classes and socialization exercises in school, today’s teens didn’t get that experience from a young age. Most young adults grew up with the internet as the wild west, and there have been too many online showdowns that have resulted, at best, in hurt feelings and, at worst, in tragedy.”

        • quincyil says:

I bet Alex is correct. High school could be so much worse if bullies attack sensitive youngsters. It wasn’t all that much fun in my day.

      • Need a Hobby says:

Jill had been portraying herself and Kelly as “bullied” on Season 3 by the other women on RHONY. Then she portrayed herself on the internet as a victim (neglecting her own online bullying of others).

Then to gain some legitimacy, she jumped on the real anti-bullying campaign since it then had media attention and she could get some too that too. (Even on that “wear purple” day, she still managed online to make it all about her, though.)

        • WindyCityWondering says:

ironic how both Jill and Teresa jumped on the antibullying/suicide bandwagon at the same time….

  39. housewifeaddict says:

I’ve been looking back at old blogs, and am thinking it’d be fun to see how long everyone has been here, and how they “discovered” the site. I was surprised to see so many of you were commenting back in May.

Me – I’ve been here about a month, maybe two. I heard mention of Susan Saunders/amazon-gate on the reunion show, googled and read the story – began to solidify my dislike for Jill, then kept googling, found a mention of this blog, read some posts and comments, and was hooked.

    • American Idiot says:

Was this blog around when Jill announced the birth of Bethenny’s boy on her facebook? I’m thinking that is when I got so fed up with Jill that I went looking for a blog. I know I was reading, probably not commenting, during the Hubpages era.

    • buffywood says:

I am not sure how long I’ve been here, but it has been a little while. I was a lurker for a while and a total Blog virgin. My first post was actually calling Lynn out saying she ruined my life as before I found here blog I was blissfully ignorant and happy with my well balanced life. Since seeing her blog my job had suffered, the house was a mess, and the laundry was piling up… yes I was addicted and it was all her fault!

      • California35 says:

Something similar happened to me, instead of reading a book or a magazine I read here :-P. I don’t really have much time, but some times I go to sleep very late just to catch up 🙂

    • lillybee says:

I came here when TWOP was shut down over the Amazon stuff that Jill pulled. Been here ever since.

    • KellitaM says:

I started lurking around September, and commented a few weeks later. I happened upon this blog when it was referred to by one of the HW’s tweets (I think it was Danielle). I had been reading all the comments on the Bravo blogs previously, and was surprised by how many fans people like Teresa had. I thought, “Doesn’t anyone see the same things I see?” So I was delighted to read the intelligent discussions on here. It’s been so fun, and addictive.

    • AZ Girl says:

I found out about Lynn’s blog at TWOP. Someone posted something about Lynn’s blog when Amazongate broke. How everyone here had found out about Jill posting book reviews under Susan Saunders on Amazon.com. Man… that was one crazy day.

      • vilzvet says:

For the life of me I don’t remember how I found this place! I never read TWOP so it wasn’t linked from there. It’s driving me crazy if I really think about it, LOL. I only ever read about the Housewives shows on imdb.com. A few times I would post Lynn’s link over there so posters could find this place.

        • Zipit Zarin says:

I was reading the boards on Bravotv.com and that led to Lynn on the Hub Pages right before she moved here.

Hi everyone! I have been coming here since who knows when. By the time I read the posts though, its been a while so I any coment from me would be too late. Also, many times you guys said what’s on my mind, so no need to say it again. Lynn thanks for this blog, I enjoy each of them. I’m a fan of most of the people you are fan of, and dislike about the same people you dislike :-P. I do see tv as entertainment only so I don’t get all emotional over any of it, BUT many times I have something to say and no one to say it to 🙂 then I found this place 🙂 although I don’t say anything, I see that many think the way I do about certain events or people. If someone could please let me know that you can read my post, I will appreciate it very much. I can see it, but would like to make sure.

    Thank you all….

Earlier I posted about how I found this blog – and asked others to do the same. Some mentioned hubpages and an earlier blog, and since I’m home today, it’s raining, and I’m bored, and I wanted to read more of Lynn’s great blogs, I googled:

    hub pages lynn chicago

Let’s just say that led me to some of the missing pieces to this puzzle that’s perplexed me in the last 2 days.

And all I can say is – if you are a celebrity and try to sell your apartment, and it gets listed on the internet under your name with your address, and you don’t ask the real estate agent to take the listing down even though you claim you don’t want your address on the internet – even months after the information was posted, don’t blame others for your address being on the internet!!!!!

  48. Katie says:

Well haven’t read all the way through but wow that debate about trolls was lengthy. OMB &KlHM for hashing it out with both respect and conviction. The problem is you are both correct 🙂 I’m sure everyone here has experienced both judging someone on false assumptions and giving 2nd3rd 4th chances to those who did not deserve them.

The truth is none of us know why some people make odd trollish posts here. They maybe mentally ill, manipulative, bored or a combination of each. Some people have difficulty integrating and interacting in social/public settings, and the same can be true in cyberspace. There is one individual who has caused quite an uproar who I believe is also very ill. There are posts on a site not pertaining to anything housewife/media related from the same person that are  very disturbing and sad. I have no doubt that this person suffered a difficult past and continues to suffer today. But unfortunately part of their pathology is a self-fulfilling prophecy that includes manipulation and ultimately destroys the relationships that they want so deeply to attain. The fear of abandonment, coupled with pathological behavior often leads to the isolation they want so desperately to avoid. Although many of their comments may be deeply distasteful, I don’t think it is in anyone’s best interest to taunt or mock them. IMO it isn’t necessary to humiliate them and banish them. They should be held to the same standards as others but ostracizing them only proliferates the cycle.

That being said, impersonating a known controversial figure using poor grammar, and manic rants is relatively easy. It is no coincidence that some of the blogs with the largest number of comments are on days when things deviate from the norm. If I had a blog I would have troll Tuesdays to spice it up. 🙂 I am always skeptical whenever people “know” who is behind something in cyberspace. It could be a fan of a hw, one of the former commenters of the blog or someone who merely enjoys lighting a match and watching it burn.

Anyway, who a good kikilet tweet?

    Happy Veterans day.

      Troll Tuesday, lol.
Many good points Katie. I’m sure nobody wants to add to anyones pain. I think this particular troll just managed to push all the right buttons.

    • klmh says:

Enjoyed your post. Tuesday is a good day for me, but I have to wait 48 hours from first post before I open my yap again.

      • Kat says:

Don’t feel that way Klmh. There is nothing wrong with sticking up for the underdog. Quincy does it too and I love that about her.

      • Zoey says:

Lol. That was self-imposed klmh. Hey, how about one of your good jokes?

        • MAMAZ says:

I admire sticking up for the underdog just be careful it doesn’t bite you in the ass.

        • klmh says:

          Here are two for you:

          A couple is lying
          in bed. The man says,

          ‘I am going to make
you the happiest woman in the world.’

          The woman replies,
          ‘I’ll miss you.’

‘It’s just too hot to wear clothes today,’
Jack says as he stepped out of the shower, ‘honey, what do you think the
neighbors would think if I mowed the lawn like this?’

‘Probably that I married you for your money,’ she replied.

      • Katie says:

KLMH I hope you keep yapping:)

Not to beat a dead horse, but just wanted to say that since all that has come out about yesterday, I wish I had not commented on what’shername’s post about this blog’s title. What I wrote about was anecdotal and not meant to buttress the idea.

For the record, I love this place and don’t care what its name is.

    • American Idiot says:

I wouldn’t worry about it, dickens. All is well now.

    • MAMAZ says:

No worries. A respectfully posted opinion is always ok here even if it’s not widely shared. It wasn’t NiceGirls thoughts that were offensive, it was her delivery. 🙂

  50. klmh says:

You are so right. I was on Lynn’s hubpage but I considered it the same as it was so easy to transfer to this site. Still Lynn’s blog, but a different site. I have also posted a few times on RHW, but that’s it.

  51. MamaCat55 says:

Long time lurker, first post! Have to say you all are a ballsy group of women (that meant in a GOOD WAY!) Like people who see the BS and aren’t afraid to call it out! Check out the website probably more than I should but enjoy it tremensely and seeing all the give and take. (Quincy-ever hear of the QCA???) lol Keep it up gals and guy-keep us in the know! (My family laughs at my use of !-can’t help it….lol)

  52. MAMAZ says:

quincy – Sorry we busted your chops so bad about the West Side Story stuff. I hope we didn’t hurt your feelings. It was meant as a gentle ribbing, all in good fun.

BTW, you keep referring to yourself on here as old but I don’t get that vibe from you at all! You seem very youthful.

klmh – Thanks so much for posting this. Such a powerful message. Shedding tears for my Dad right now. He passed away a long time ago, but he was in the Navy – during the “big one” – WWII.

      • Zoey says:

My dad too, AmerIdiot. Navy Seabees. They were such brave men.

      • klmh says:

Mine was in the Army Air Corps during WWII as well. Tears too.

        • klmh says:

My father didn’t talk much about his years in the Army. He was a flight surgeon based in Maine. The only real story he told was about receiving the men from the Battle of the Bulge. Funny, I was going to relate a story, but I’ve written way too much on this blog today.

Glad you all enjoyed this as well.

    • Kansas Girl says:

Thank you for this. I’m going to share it with a Vietnam Vet I’m Facebook friends with who has been posting all day. This is very touching.

RE: JZ/USF and $15,000… I posted my original email to USF in the comments section, but thought I would also post it here:

    Sent: Friday, October 29, 2010 2:05 PM
    To: Gerber, Kristie
    Subject: Question

    Dear Ms. Gerber:

I am writing this email out of curiousity. I am a big fan of the Housewives franchise on Bravo TV and just read an article re Jill Zarin lecturing at the University of South Florida. Your name was listed as the person who arranged Ms. Zarin’s appearance.

Would you mind sharing with me the reason you chose Ms. Zarin to speak with your students? I thought of the many ‘housewives’ who would have the best life experience and business acumen and Jill Zarin falls near the bottom of the list. Kandi Burruss, Lisa Vanderpump, Bethenny Frankel and Vicki Gunvalson have far more life and business success than Jill Zarin. I just don’t understand why and how her appearance came about and I hope you don’t mind sharing your logic as to your choice.

I am not a media person nor connected or affiliated with an organization that is for or against the ‘housewives’ or Jill Zarin. I am just a housewife (really!) who goes to the source when I have a question and not one who relies on rumors.

I appreciate your time in responding and look forward to your reply.

    Thank you.

  55. error404 says:

haha I actually can’t wait for tonight! I don’t know, it seems to me that Kyle would cop to stuff if she said it. Isn’t her tag line something like “I’m not afraid to speak my mind” and she certainly doesn’t hold back with her sister! Add to that that it’s such a silly thing… it’s not like she accused the kids of not being Camille’s or something really awful. I;m placing my bet on ‘Camille’s like Kiki, and thinks she heard it, just like Kiki was sure Bethanny admitted to bashing her kids in the press.’

    • emily says:

ITA and it makes me wonder, hmmm, what other similarities do Camille and KKB share???

    • American Idiot says:

I think Camille is inventing drama where none exists. Kyle probably said something very ordinary like “Oh, you’re going to Hawaii without Kelsey?” and Camille heard something entirely different.

It is such a silly think for Camille to go on and on about.

Looking foward to seeing what develops tonight.

    • JazzNightOut says:

I think Camille made it up to play off her ‘storyline.’ The conversation they were having (Kyle and Camille) doesn’t even lead to that comment from Kyle. Camille is trying to instigate more ‘storyline.’

      • MAMAZ says:

And how about the reaction of the women in the preview? Kim is so shocked by Kyle calling Camille a liar she covers her face with her hands! The other women look equally shocked! Seriously? Calling someone a liar is harsh but it hardly requires the use of smelling salts in the aftermath. You’d think she just told Camille she was pregnant with Kelsey’s baby.
Wouldn’t you love to sit them down with Danielle Staub, Kim G, Teresa, Ramona, NeNe Leaks, Kim Z and Sheree? Oh the horror!

        • JazzNightOut says:

To say nothing of Jill Z. being part of the conversation = high volume screeching.

          • MAMAZ says:

I would love to see Camille dancing at a club with the Bellino’s, lol. Alexis would accuse her of hitting on Jim and all hell would break loose.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

I agree – she made it up so she could “act” instead of just “dance”.

    • Zoey says:

Hm, some good points there, Error. I think you’re right, that is Kyle’s tag line, and just like Kelly, Kim has that paranoid vibe about her.

I still think Kyle has fake hair/hair extensions, although no doubt she has some healthy, shiny, beautiful natural hair. I told her as much on Twitter and she swears it’s all real!

Wulftulips HA! I burst out laughing at my desk. Thank you One More in Boston for your humor.

I agree with the post above about similarities in the troll posting. The first post seems to be really long and pushing an agenda of some sort. Then we question the the post the attack comes. Usually with ALL CAPS as if we are being screamed at. That is when I get suspicious.

Looking forward to tonight HWOBH. Keep posting the recipes on Boston’s blog. I plan on trying a few of those this weekend.

I’ve recently heard a lot of debate about which is correct, y’all or ya’ll. No doubt it’s y’all but I’m used to ya’ll, so I’m not changing, right or wrong. MWebster is not the boss of me.

    2. If anyone has any yummy soup recipes, I would so love if you would share them. I could eat soup every day of the week! I will do well when I lose all of my teeth…

    3. I would love to hear a joke from klmh. ‘A troll walked into a bar…’.

    4. I’ve forgotten point number 4….will get some wine and be back. My mom always said if you forgot something it couldn’t have been that important, but that’s SO not true for me. Ya’ll?

I love making soup – especially in the fall but my husband gets so frustrated because he likes it and wants me to make it again but it’s never the same twice, I start with onions and throw in whatever I have in the kitchen 🙂

My grandmother used to say a good cook never makes the same soup twice!

        • Zoey says:

Lynn, glad to know that happens to all of us!

And WWW I like your grandmother’s saying! It is frustrating sometimes when you can’t duplicate a recipe. Now I’ll just think of it as genius!

We call it hamburger soup in my family. Onions, hamburger, and whatever’s in the fridge or freezer. I’d say it’s delicious, but that brings Phaedra’s face to mind and I don’t want to think about what she was talking about. (Sorry — need brain cleanser now)

        • quincyil says:

I have some Iranian dried vegetables that make wonderful tasting soups. In one, you add yogurt just before your serve. Tons of nutrients. With bread, it’s a great dinner.

          • Kansas Girl says:

What’s it called? I’d like to try it if I can find some here.

            • quincyil says:

I will look at the packages, but I buy them in a world food store in St. Louis. If you live near a big city, all of the Middle Eastern stores have them. I have several really good Iranian cook books. I could put some recipes on Boston’s site, if she will give us the link.

The food is very healthy, easy to make and fun. Great for parties too.

          • Zoey says:

@Quincy, I’m not familiar with Iranian veggies of any kind. Like Kansas girl I would love to know more.

        • TLM says:

I am a vegetarian and especially in the fall, I like to get put my food processor and makes several pureed vegetables. They are very versatile and can be frozen so you don’t have to throw out your fresh veggies. You can eat them as-is, thin out for a thinner soup, use as sandwich spreads, on pizza, or as a “pesto” in cooked pasta. The ones I did this week were:

          cauliflower & yellow onion
          Broccoli & red onion
butternut squash, sweet potato & yellow onion
          spinach, kale & yellow onion

I steam the veggies and then blend in the processor with a little safflower oil and kosher salt to taste. The cauliflower is an amazing substitute for mashed potatoes!!

      • Tootsie says:

“I start with onions and throw whatever I have in the kitchen”. Oh God, the poor dog.

    • Kat says:

Zoey you are too funny. Webster ain’t no boss of me neither!

    • dickens says:

Zoey, thank you so much for pointing out the proper spelling for y’all. Seriously, I don’t know why I hadn’t thought of it before. I’ll try to spell it right from now on but, I also prefer the looks of ya’ll. For some reason it looks more like it’s pronounced to me (in NC).

I love some of the random things you’re apt to learn on this blog.

      • American Idiot says:

Hey, dickens, do you live in NC. Just visited UNCW with my son last week. Had a really rainy day, so couldn’t do the tour. A little disappointed in that, but he is going to apply.

      • Zoey says:

Hi Dickens. The way I found out how to properly spell it was by putting my size 8.5 shoe in my mouth! A friend asked me to proofread an important paper for him and in doing so I told him he misspelled ya’ll. He ever so politely said, uh, I think that’s how you spell it. I thought, boy is he wrong. Ha! Joke’s on me.

But I agree with you that how we say it doesn’t match how it is properly spelled. But we don’t necessarily talk how we write, so…I have friends that are foreigners who try to speak the way things are written and it’s just so off, ya know?

My son is into languages and grammar and I learn a lot from him. I used to be a stickler for grammar and spelling and am surprised that I’m getting sloppy and forgetful about these things as I get older!

        • dickens says:

Zoey, I’m just glad no one ever challenged me on that spelling or I might also have egg on my face.

American Idiot, you were half a state away from me. I live in the lower piedmont region near Charlotte.

Unlike Jill I don’t take a Bently around town.
My office is a 30min walk from home. Most New Yorkers walk when ever they can. A cab takes 15min but it may take 15min to find one. In bad weather u may not find one at all. Then u better know how to use the subways. Today u can buy a monthly public transportation pass. I used the subways exclusively to get to work downtown for my 1st ten yrs in NYC because they r fast & 90% cheaper than cabs. I have never used buses around town cuz they r slow but u use the same tokens/pass card as the subway. For a ride up Madison or down 5th to see the store windows ,would b my only use for buses.
The bus exception was the Wall St. Bus which had only about 4 stops then got on the FDR Dr.& went to the bottom of the downtown financial district. I took the WS bus when I could afford it after the 1st 10years. That WS bus was 1/3 the cost of a cab. It took the same time as the subway & less than a cab but allowed u a seat & 30 min to do your work uninterrupted. Bad weather didn’t stop it & I loved time to work vs hanging on a strap & trying to read ur paper. A cab was hard to find at 8:30am and the ride was often like a roller coaster & many cab drivers “new to this country” drive like the cab is a go cart & make me seasick.
20years ago when I married WSM he forbid me to take the subway & I haven’t been on one since.
He invested in a new limo co. so we r very blessed because its hard to get a limo account unless u r a big co. Or use a limo 2xs a day. A limo is almost as common as a cab on the NY Streets & they cost about 2x a cab. We pay the same as customers. Our main benefit is we can always get a car even in bad weather.
Sometimes thinking they r doing a favor, the limo dispatcher will send a stretch at no extra cost. We r always embarrassed & if we have time ,which we usually don’t,we send it back. Once in a rush ,a white one like the Salami’s car arrived. We were more than mortified. We found a cab & told the dispatcher to PLEASE never send a WHITE stretch EVER !
Since the economy has been bad we have cut the limo use by 75%

BTW we do not own a car in NYC !
I have a 9 year old car in Fla
    w/20 000 miles.

    • Kansas Girl says:

So the image of a NYer going out and immediately hailing a cab isn’t true! I suspected as much! Are subway stops frequent enough to make them useful? I ask because in my little town we have 2 bus systems, one owned by the city and one by the university. The transfer point for city is downtown and for university is on the main campus street. All buses cross campus and passes are interchangeable. (It’s like a hub with routes radiating out, but to transfer you have to go to the hub.) So from my house I could take the bus to work. But I’d have to walk way over there, then go downtown and wait 20 minutes, and then catch the bus to campus. A total of 40-60 minutes. I can walk in 20. (I drive because of knees, and that’s also 20.)

When they say they’re hiring a car on HWs, does that mean a ccar from a limo service? I remember Bethenny seemed to have rented a car for a vacation. I figured you’re not tooting around in a Bentley! You’re much too sensible! I was just thinking the other day that tho it’s more expensive to live there, one expense you do not have is car ownership.

It’s very sweet that WSM won’t let you ride the subway.

Thanks for the info! I have a better mental picture now. I’m sure I still have questions. I always do. 🙂 (What do you want to know about Kansas?)

      • Kat says:

How do you feel about the Big Red? 😉

        • Kansas Girl says:

I’m embarrassed to say I have no opinion at all. They’re very good for the economy and when it was rumored they were leaving there was panic. A friend lives near enough to hear the practices with the cannon — sounds like thunder. They take up all the rental housing in the surrounding area. As you see, I don’t have much to say about them. (You meant the Big Red One, right?) I’m feeling like I should learn more and GET an opinion!

          • Kat says:

I meant the Nebr football team. 😉 You don’t need an opinion on football, lol. Best to you with your studies.

            • Kansas Girl says:

Oh. LOL! The real question is how do I feel about KU’s team. Or lack of one. That new coach isn’t going to last long.

    • AZ Girl says:

I want that car in Florida! 9 years and only 20,000 miles. “Little Old Lady from Pasadena” is now ringing in my head.

    • TLM says:

I was just in NYC recently because I had to be there. I used to dream of living there when I was 18, but that was a long time ago and now I find I cannot wait to leave. As fate would have it I was in a cab to Penn Station and it drove right past the Hotel Chandler. Wasn’t that Simon’s hotel?? It’s true that everything is there, but it’s all such a jumble and everything is a nightmare to get to. Penn Station was also a zoo. When I got on the train I felt like I truly got the last bus out of Dodge.

It’s nice that the incident has actually created more participation on IHJZ.

  63. Anyone else think that someone scheduled the Giudice’s Federal action for July 14, as some kind of ironic reference to Marie Antoinette/Bastille Day?, or am I reading too much into it?

    • AZ Girl says:

      HA! Off with their heads!!!!

    • quincyil says:

I think that the Giudices don’t know what Bastille Day means.

      • Adgirl says:

I just finished a book called Paris in the Terror and was shocked to learn about how crazy/nutz/scary/violent the Revolution was, and how many years it went on (and on and on). Literally out of control.

That has nothing to do with the Giudice’s but the Bastille Day comment reminded me about how important it is that we all try to get along especially if our politics differ.

        • quincyil says:

It was horrible for fifty years or more. All revolutions are like that. The Russian…. The Iranian… All of South America… chaos..no respect for life or laws.

We were very lucky that our leaders tried to have a structure in place, but there were riots in our early years too.

I don’t want government to get too strong, but it can’t be weak either. We walk a narrow path.

          • error404 says:

I found this to be one of the most interesting parts of that John Adams mini serious a few years ago. Adams and Jefferson differed over the French Rev because it was too chaotic and violent for Adams… an interesting perspective considering they had just recently engineered their own revolution.

            • Adgirl says:

And they are intimately connected. If King Louis hadn’t spent so much money on our revolution France wouldn’t have revolted.

    • MAMAZ says:

That’s great. Off with their heads!

      • And don’t forget this one, “Let them eat cake.”
Look at all the similarities, Didn’t Teresa describe her decor as, “French Chateau”?, or something like that?
The Marie Antoinette sushi at her wedding Baptism,
(oh-and the fact that they called the baby’s Sacrament of Baptism a Christening, irked me. ),
Those insane pantaloon outfits that the children wore in Italy, I think were named, “Marie Antoinette”,
The fact that Marie Antoinette was criticized for financial excesses & looting the National Treasury…. I really think that someone in the Justice Department had a sense of humor there.

        • klmh says:

When my brother and I were about 11 or 12 (twins) we told his friend that we have a sister that lives in our attic. We kept it up for about 2 weeks. He would come to our house to see if my brother could come out and play and we’d say no we have to go feed “Sarah” in the attic. About 2 weeks went by and one day the police came to our house and to speak to my mother. We got in so much trouble! LoL!
To this day when I see his friend he askes me how Sarah is and we laugh. My mother never laughed over it thou.

    Promo for Teresa’s class:

“Whether you want to get on a reality TV show, write a book, start and run a business, change career, this inspiring evening with a woman who has 377,000 online followers will get you going in the right direction.

“Teresa will talk about marketing yourself, dealing with difficult people, working with the press, and she will share juicy details about what goes on behind the scenes of the Real Housewives of New Jersey.”

Yes Teresa – tell me how to work the press LOL.

    • Kat says:

Maybe Teresa can teach us about fraud, perjury, and simple non felonious lying.

      • MickeyMouth says:

I thought she might teach a lesson in etiquette, fashion, make-up, grace or grammar. All her strong points.

But you’re right she probably has more knowledge on fraud and perjury 😛

        • California35 says:

I understand that people need to do what they can to earn some money, and she needs to earn money…but come on!!! Get into something you KNOW or have experience on..ay 😛

Everything she will be teaching is listed here… AND the 2 hour class will be moderated by Rob Shuter, so you know the questions will be soft ones reviewed by him before Tree answers. Check out this link (it’s my blog), all the info is there and you might get a laugh out of it:

        • Zoey says:

If it’s a 2 hour class, after she shares her vast knowledge what are they going to do for the last hour and 45 minutes? Better bring a book…

          • Waxdiva says:

Here’s just some of what you’ll learn… How to:

cheat a business partner, smile while your car is repossessed, be your sister-in-law’s worst nightmare, know the exact time of the month to crush tomatoes, hide a canary diamond ring, get your ‘fans’ to buy anything, max out credit cards, deny knowledge of owning property, start a fight, lie through your teeth on a daytime talk show, let your friend take the blame for starting a fight, fake your degree, get free trips to It-ly, sign real estate documents, avoid court-ordered auctions, make your husband think he’s handsome, get free clothes, believe your husband’s DUI stories, sprint in a country club, hide your parents in the basement, know your tanning machine settings, make pizza dough, accept a canary diamond ring, scam the federal government, make your friends babysit, try to speak I-talian, avoid bill collectors, drive an architect insane, get discounts for paying cash, find hideous door ornaments,…. and there’s more on my blog…

the most popular line, for me anyway, is the Lexington line.

I loved that dress and wondered about the cloth. It looked thick and it seemed to stand up on it’s own. The design was perfect for the theme of the party.

        Hi Error, mon amour!

I am doing great. I needed a little time out.

Thanks to you all of you who asked for my whereabouts.

Thank you dearly Lynn, for this magnificent place you have created where we find fun, love, compassion, appreciation and all of the above!

I read a comment last week in this forum that hurt my feelings and I prefer ed to remove myself for some time. I am back
        No hard feelings.

I want you all to know that I am Mexican and I would like to explain a tiny bit about Mexico.

Mexico is a Country of many contrasts and contradictions.

Imagine just this reality… the wealthiest man in all over the world in 2010 is Carlos Slim Chelu, Mexican… and there is, at the same time, a lot of poverty that I personally have seen SO CLOSE with my son -He is a Lawyer and founder of a humanitarian society who goes to the poorest Indian communities around the Country with Medical help as well as food, clothes and education in how to cultivate their own food with hydroponics “Not just giving them fish, but teaching them to fish”.

I have suffered during my childhood discrimination for not “look Mexican”. I have lived in several Countries and Cities where for being Mexican I was considered “exotic”, In the USA I have never feel discriminated for any American. I blended in this culture like fish in water.

I found in this Country the love of my life and the peace of my heart and mind.

        • Zoey says:

Cusi I’m glad you’re back. I’m not feeling very articulate tonight, so I’ll leave a better apology to the wordsmiths here, but I want to say so very sorry your feelings were hurt in any way. Hug, and sorry again.

    • TLM says:

Camille is completely delusional, and what’s sad is that she really thinks her little girl act (“I’m so shy” — yeah, right, that’s why you do deep lunges on the tennis court for your friend Nick to see, and dance like a stripper for your friends’ husbands) is actually believable, or believed by anyone.

I wanted to punch her lights out when she said to the camera that Kyle lost her cool, “And I won.” She lost her cool because she was being accused of saying something she never said, and which YOU said you had gotten past 20 minutes before, you moron!!

With everything she complains about, I’m tempted to do a Tamra Barney and tell Camille, “You’re such a f***in’ victim, aren’t you.” The scene where she says she has 30% more work than the other women? Really? I thought it was more like she has 80% less than each of them. And it was priceless when she said, in all seriousness, that preparing to go to Hawaii was “A lot of work…I have to pack and call the house manager and…that’s it.” Wow, that IS a lot of work, Camille. I’m amazed you aren’t an alcoholic. If each house has a manager, WTF is she “managing”? They do all the work. All she has to do is call up and ask for whatever she wants. Literally all this woman had to do was pack a bag and step into a limo, and I bet her assistant even did her packing. When they got to Hawaii, the nanny was playing with the kids and Camille was stepping into the ocean in her bikini for a swim, then lying on a lounge chair talking about how she is “taking charge of her life”. Yes, Camille, you’ve been oppressed beyond belief. Prisoners in Abu Ghraib have nothing on you!

I’d love to see how “independent” this chick is without the Kelsey Kash.

  70. HD says:

Well everyone added their two cents so I am gonna give my nickel worth.

The name stays! And who is anyone to suggest that someone change the name of something they have created? The name is perfect and quite honestly that is the way a lot of us found the site.

TROLLS-This site is open to everyone. However I feel that any forum works like the world works. You don’t step in to a forum like your poo don’t stink. It does. Everyone’s does. Come in, present yourself if you choose to and don’t come in slanging insults. Also, this is just the REALITY of the situation and people may not agree with me but I have been in forums, ran forums, etc….”leaders” will ALWAYS emerge. We all have read Lord of the Flies. It happens in ANY group. No, Lynn does not have moderators but if there is some pure chaos going on why would someone let chaos continue? That is ridiculous. If I see something going on that is distracting the TRUE course of the board, I am going to speak up. I really don’t care who likes it or hates it. No, I am not a moderator or any of that but why let confusion continue to reign on a site when all our “anger” so to speak needs to be directed towards Jill?

Another thing…Concerning WSL…if you know who she is GREAT, if you don’t, you don’t. I logged in as HD because I didn’t want EVERYONE knowing who I was. Not because I am rich and fabulous (well I’m fabulous but not rich) like WSL but I do have a “little” public persona and the things we discuss don’t need to be blared for everyone to know such and such said this and she/he is connected to this person in real life. Like the old saying goes, “don’t air your dirty laundry”. WSL or ABC, DEF, GHI, JKL,MNO, PQR, STU, VWX, YZ should be able to post here without people trying to figure out who is who and out people and cause issues. Come on we are a “net family”. Leave it here and walk away. Don’t go telling everyone’s business.

Now I said it and who gon’ check me boo? 🙂 Just kidding but that is how I feel. I have seen forums, GOOD FORUMS, go to hell in a handbasket with gasoline drawers on because of some drama. Let’s keep it light here and remember why we are here..BECAUSE WE HATE JILL ZARIN!!

    Love ya’ll!

Yesterday I did see a question to you about when you were “preforming” or something and them a reference to your website. It did get my curiousity peeked I must admit.

Nice summary. It really doesn’t matter who anybody is in the real world, in here everyone is a “someone”.

      • buffywood says:

Oh and for the record… I am a “nobody” to anyone else besides myself, my family, my friends, and my pets and hopefully this LynnFamily; and that is absolutely fine with me.

    • Zoey says:

So, HD, you’re saying……we’re not…..a….’real’ family? Don’t tell the children.

      • HD says:

LOL @ Zoey…if I know anything about forums some of us are closer and have shared more here with the posters then we have with our “real” families. 🙂

        • Kat says:

I think over time as people become better acquainted with each other and feel comfortable they/we do share more and more. It is natural. We are social animals.

Caution should be taken though with personal information imho. There are people here who I would trust with my identity. I am noone. But I’m leery online.

Free disposable email accounts and Lynn are great ways to get in touch. My free email shows my IP in the header info. That leads to my internet provider and city and state. I’ve posted my location and I don’t care who here knows where I am.
Some people are more internet savvy than others and I’d hate for someone to get hurt in real life.

I have yet to meet a regular poster here who I didn’t respect, well okay maybe one or two…. LOL
My point is simply that we are a great group and it is possible to make online and offline friends but just be careful.

By stating your age if your BDay is on the BDay list then your DOB is known. Information gets out sometimes without much note.

I’ve accidentally found real names of 3 posters here and figured out one name on purpose because I felt it was a game. I think I know two more but one is a person who probably misleads on purpose… wulftulips.
One person’s name I accidently ran across had a pic they used here and posted the same pic somewhere else using their real name. I recognized the pic. It was as unique as my cat avatar.
I’ll never use this information. I can’t unlearn it though.

JMO, don’t use the same username for all sites you visit.
“Kat” is commom and generic. Others are distinct and can be searched. That can lead to other sites, profiles etc… And as mentioned avatars that are unique stand out. No big deal if you only use a username/avatar for a few like sites to be recognized.

Just thinking out loud. I don’t mean to tell anyone how to conduct themselves. Just take care.
(I just wanted to make a long post. 8) )

          • California35 says:

Thank you Kat, to post I need to put my name (California35) and email address. I worries me to give the email address. Can posters it?

            • Kat says:

Only the blog owner can see your email address when you post. I assume the IP address is visible to Lynn too but wordpress may not make it available.

If there was an “I Hate Jennifer Aniston” blog (maybe there is, I have no idea) does anyone think JA would give a shit? Would her “fans” be creeping around on it to cause trouble? Would they be contacting people demanding the name be changed?
    I think not.
Reality stars attract some odd fans who probably think they can “befriend” a celebrity by sticking up for them. A sort of stalkerish state of mind.

Sooo, July is the BK trustee case about the fraud? What is the US atty case about? Was their BK thrown out or is it still progressing somewhere?

      • Need a Hobby says:

This is part of the bankruptcy process. Objections can be filed to the bankruptcy discharge of debt, which is what both the bankruptcy court appointed trustee (Sywilok) and US Trustee’s Office in the DOJ have done. They independently filed complaints against the Gs with the bankruptcy court to deny the G’s bankruptcy discharge (T’s “fresh start” or a clean slate if you will). The basis for the complaints are nondisclosure of assets, false statements under oath, etc..

The court can grant the Gs bankruptcy but deny T’s “fresh start,” the discharge of debt. The court also can dismiss the bankruptcy case altogether.

Sywilok’s complaint was filed first, so apparently it’s up first on the schedule. It would seem likely though, as HE indicated, that the two complaints might be heard together since the allegations are essentially the same.

  87. deehub says:

A lesson that should be taught in all schools . . .

    And colleges

Back in September, on the first day of school, Martha Cothren, a social studies school teacher at Robinson High School , did something not to be forgotten. On the first day of school, with the permission of the school superintendent, the principal and the building supervisor, she

removed all of the desks out of her classroom.

When the first period kids entered the room they discovered that there were no desks.

    ‘Ms.. Cothren, where’re our desks?’

She replied, ‘You can’t have a desk until you tell me how you earn the right to sit at a desk.’

They thought, ‘Well, maybe it’s our grades.’

    ‘No,’ she said.

    ‘Maybe it’s our behavior.’

She told them, ‘No, it’s not even your behavior.’

And so, they came and went, the first period, second period, third period. Still no desks in the classroom.

By early afternoon television news crews had started gathering in Ms.Cothren’s classroom to report about this crazy teacher who had taken all the desks out of her room.

The final period of the day came and as the puzzled students found seats on the floor of the deskless classroom, Martha Cothren said, ‘Throughout the day no one has been able to tell me just what he/she has done to earn the right to sit at the desks that are ordinarily found in this classroom. Now I am going to tell you.’

At this point, Martha Cothren went over to the

door of her classroom and opened it.

Twenty-seven (27) War Veterans, all in uniforms, walked into that classroom, each one carrying a school desk. The Vets began placing the school desks in rows, and then they would walk over

and stand alongside the wall… By the time the

last soldier had set the final desk in place those kids started to understand, perhaps for the first time in their lives, just how the right to sit at

    those desks had been earned..

Martha said, ‘You didn’t earn the right to sit at these desks. These heroes did it for you. They placed the desks here for you. Now, it’s up to you to sit in them. It is your responsibility to learn, to be good students, to be good citizens. They paid the price so that you could have the freedom to get an education.

    Don’t ever forget it.’

By the way, this is a true story.

    • icantstandthetoxicity says:

I thought the same thing. She has about 124,000 followers on Twitter. They may have combined her Twitter followers and her Facebook friends. That is the only explanation I can come up with.

      • Zoey says:

I read somewhere recently that you can ‘buy’ Twitter followers, like a large number or lot. That made me think back to when I first went to Kelly’s Twitter page and saw the random people that she follows and what they say to each other. It didn’t add up.
        Just sayin’ maybe that’s how?

  91. Imseasquared says:

Did I just hear Camille complaining to her mother who has cancer that her (Camille) having to deal with her mother having cancer is SOOOO difficult for her, especially without Kelsey being around? Is it possible for a human being to be that self indulging?

    • Zipit Zarin says:

YES! You did hear that! I was amazed..she spent maybe a whole minute on her mother’s illness before talking about herself. Unbelievable!

    • Zoey says:

Imsea, I was thinking the same thing! Camille is whining about having the gene and POSSIBLY one day getting cancer, to her mother who HAS the cancer! Wow. This girl is a piece of work.

And why isn’t she staying with her mother during this time??? Or vice versa. Her mother seemed so sweet and just listened to her daughter complaining about being sooo tired due to the time zone changes from Hawaii (such problems!).

    • kbinldo says:

Yes. And if anyone wonders why she didn’t understand what Kyle was saying, it’s because she wasn’t listening….

    • housewifeaddict says:

That scene made me so sad – I was almost feeling sympathetic to her, and then she started talking about herself again. Her mother seemed great though.

    • MickeyMouth says:

No words, absolutely no words regarding Camille this evening. http://wp.me/pWaBw-nz

  92. Zoey says:

Wow, I just saw a clip of an upcoming WWHL. Brad from Rachel Zoe makes Andy look positively macho!

  93. kbinldo says:

Camille = passive-aggressive narcissistic spoiled whiny bitch

    • Zipit Zarin says:

She’s good isn’t she? Saying she won because she stayed calm?? Yeah, she made the whole thing up and won because Kyle has emotions about it? What a sickening bitch.

      • kbinldo says:

Yeah, the one who stays calm is usually the one who pushed the button, stirred the stuff, caused the problem in the first place. Kelsey Grammer is not my favorite person, but dammit, RUN KELSEY RUN!!!

        • housewifeaddict says:

Camille’s smirk was very Danielle-like. Not to excuse Kyle’s outbursts – she was also out of line.

        • Zipit Zarin says:

Note to Kyle. “NEVER be in a room alone with Camille. Ever. Always have a witness from now on.”

          • Zipit Zarin says:

The first conversation (that it’s all about) was off camera. Funny that, huh? Luckily the second one was on camera and the audience does know the context of why she said “Don’t be insecure.” It was meant to be a reassuring comment, not an insult. DUH And, btw, if a person isn’t insecure they would simply say “I’m not” and move on, thereby proving it. That whole schpiel “I’m so shy!” over and over was such crap in the first place. If she’s shy I’m mother effing Teresa. Yes, all shy people go on reality tv shows, wear bikinis on camera, dance in clubs like they are a hooker on a pole, etc etc. Yes, she’s good at working my last nerve. She won. What a pile a manure.

          • Jinx says:

            Zipit Zarin

You took the words right out of my mouth.

      • error404 says:

It’s typical shit stirrer stuff… pick the hot head and just push them until the blow up.

        • as i was watching this unfold, it was like deja vu, ala Jill Zarin vs. Bethany again. Smug Camille, all passive aggressive, setting Kyle up (i don’t even really like Kyle)
watching Kyle’s brain short circuit as this woman makes up an imaginary altercation.

I had to check and see if you all felt the same way. 😉

          • Zipit Zarin says:

            I’m loving Kyle about now.

            • Zoey says:

I have a question- don’t you think the ladies who know Kyle should have said something in defense of Kyle’s integrity?

It became all about whether she said it or not, but I think a big part of what angered Kyle, and would me, is being accused of saying something so mean.

I think if her friends would’ve come to her defense, as in saying Kyle would never say that, we believe you think you heard that but no way, the group would’ve squashed Camille’s fire.

Bottom line I think Camille made it up and is trying to ‘hijack’ the show. So far she’s doing it.

              • Need a Hobby says:

If nothing else, IMO someone should have told them as politely as possible, look obviously you’re not going to settle this here but the rest of us want to enjoy our meal so knock it the hell off. Or more bluntly tell Camille to drop it or sod off and give her something real to be upset about.

They may not like confrontation, taking sides or being overtly impolite but F that
when there’s a major brawl breaking out during a meal IMO.

I would have told Camille to drop it when she started up. I don’t like aggro during a meal. Unless the food’s bad. Then, considering it’s Bravo, I would have started throwing it and, assuming I had millions in the bank, tell the restaurant to bill me for the meal and clean up. And a big tip for the staff. LOL

              • LynnNChicago says:

HI Zoey! When I watched the previews for next week, it looks like Kim does just that. Trying to defend her sister, Kim may have tried to blame Taylor? Based on Taylor getting upset it looks like maybe Kim accuses Taylor of getting Camille all riled up again after everyone left the suite?

              • MickeyMouth says:

@Need a Hobby “Then, considering it’s Bravo, I would have started throwing it and, assuming I had millions in the bank, tell the restaurant to bill me for the meal and clean up. And a big tip for the staff.”

Have you been taking Teresa’s Learning Annex course? 😉

          • DarkSonnet says:

By the end of the episode, Camille was actually making my skin crawl. She appears to be slightly more than just passive-aggressive.

What was the very odd look of her eyes during the height of the confrontation in the restaurant? Whoa….

@Zipit – I agree with your above posts concerning this situation.

        • Need a Hobby says:

Yup, stir up shit and then stand back and play the victim. Drama.

  94. Wall St Lady says:

Both the Bk attorney I talk to and the US BK atty have accused MM Ape of fraud & r trying to block the Apes from getting the Bk they filed for. Hadenough thinks the 2 cases will b combined. The up coming Dec 14 2010 date is a pre trial by the local BK attorney.

    • Adgirl says:

Wow this sounds so serious. How many people actually go to jail or serve time for this kind of fraud I wonder.
How much you bet they pull the old Teresa just signed what Joe told her to?

  95. Zipit Zarin says:

I can not stand Camille’s voice. I would have left her because of that voice alone. Either that or go psychotic and murder her because of it. lol

    • cusi77 says:

      Ha! Hysterical!

      • housewifeaddict says:

And her face. What is with it – too much botox? Very very strange.

        • Zoey says:

I think Camille and Kelsey sort of look alike. Both have a whole weird face thing going on. Maybe the mouth?

        • MichellefromNewYork says:

She definitely has way too much botox. When she raised her brows, there was some crinkling at the top of her forehead while the rest of the forehead was abnormally smooth. A lot of women I know who OD on botox have this look. It’s almost as if the lines travel up the forehead. I just think it looks wierd and everytime I see it, it reinforces my desire to grow old naturally and never have any cosmetic procedures done. EVER.

      • Zipit Zarin says:

        Hi cuzi! You were missed!

    • Adgirl says:

I doubt he spent a lot of time in deep conversation with Camille. And in the positions they were usually in he wasn’t studying her face either.

What is wrong with Andy Cohen and his completely inappropriate jokes about Jiggy. Note to Andy – it’s not funny. Jiggy is a little dog.

Brad and Jessie are great guests!!!

  98. housewifeaddict says:

I have to say that Kelsey seemed great with his kids. Yes I know he’s the best actor in the universe, and he knew the cameras were on, but that was a heartwarming little pillow fight (well until Camille awkwardly joined in). Kind of forgot how annoyed I was about her whining about only having a 3,500 square foot apartment in NY. OMG that’s huge – way bigger than a normal house. What is wrong with this woman?

  99. error404 says:

OK, did anyone notice that whenever Camille repeated the thing she claims Kyle said, it sounded like a voiceover and they never once showed her face saying it, even though she repeated it several times. I’m now convinced that this accusation was something much worse and they are somehow covering it up. That’s my paranoid conspiracy theory for now and I’m sticking to it!

    • Zipit Zarin says:

No but I don’t have tivo or whatever that’s called so I can’t rewind.

    • housewifeaddict says:

I dunno – we saw the other conversation and the context of the insecure comment, and that was relatively nothing and Camille went bananas. I think she’s trying her turn at acting and making herself relevant – Danielle-like.

    • TrillianAlice says:

I agree error 404, the words are not clear, ever, on what Kyle said. (or didn’t say)

      • American Idiot says:

I agree too, error. It sound like blah, blah, blah whenever Camille relates the story. Very strange. You are a good sleuth; you will get to the bottom of this.

    • KellitaM says:

I also noticed that it sounded like a voiceover. That was weird. Hmmmm

  100. Dani says:

Camille does have Ramona eyes. She is also passive aggressive and I felt sorry for Kyle in the restaurant. I think Kyle lost it because there was no other way to get her point across to Camille. I felt bad for Camille having to live in a little 3500 sq ft apt for a few weeks. Can you imagine what that apartment must be worth?

    • housewifeaddict says:

Her blog is up on Bravo. She tries to throw Kelsey under the bus for the apartment size comment – big time. This woman is delusional big time.

      • Zipit Zarin says:

He was on drugs when he married her, correct? teehee

        • Dani says:

I am going to have to go to Bravo to read Camille’s blog. It doesn’t surprise me that she blames Kelsey. I am sure he kept telling her it was to small for her and the family to live in, because he didn’t want her there.

          • MAMAZ says:

The lights on a set are very different from the lights in your home or restaurant. Some people’s eyes are very sensitive to them. That’s why so many of the people we see on TV have “Ramona Eyes.” I have a friend who is a news anchor and his eyes look like that on camera but not in person.

  101. Zipit Zarin says:

I also like Kyle for having naturally aging eyes.

  102. Adgirl says:

I know I am late to comment on Top Chef – but Zac’s cake reminded me of Hung’s quickfire creation that the tall guy (who my husband loved to call OneBall) said looked like a diorama project for 3rd grade.

  103. boston02127 says:

I haven’t posted for the past few hours because I had to drive to California and smack Camille. Blech, I can’t stand her. I can’t even stand the way she moves.

Also, do Kyle and Kim have the same mother & father?

  104. Zipit Zarin says:

Welp, I read Camille’s blog and copied mine and error’s posts and pasted it. Hope the screener gets a laugh because I doubt it will get posted. We’ll see. It looked like this:

I must say you have it all. You have Ramona’s crazy eyes, Danielle’s sh#t-stirrer ways, Kelly’s narcissism, Kim Z’s laziness, Michaele’s persecution complex, Tamara’s obsession with being considered hot, Michaele’s vague and obscure hints of serious illness, and Jill’s bragging about all her hubby buys her and her family! “I feel good!” “Well, I’m glad Kelsey found a good doctor for you.”
Wow, being a trophy wife literally saved your mom’s life!

  105. jeang says:

I agree, when she was going off on Kyle and acting all smug, it was like watching Jill all over again. Disgusting and both are dillusional POS.

    • TrillianAlice says:

It was more than smugness, it was king of spooky and insane looking. She freaks me out. Yes, I agree very strange face on her at the table.

      • klmh says:

Maybe the botox? I’m trying to figure what is wrong with the upper part of her face. Is it lack of color, hair, I don’t know. But she has a killer body.

        • housewifeaddict says:

Reminded me more of Danielle in her little voiceovers – or at the reunion. Jill has more emotions in her face.

  106. Kat says:

The blog is really slow for me and a tad wonky.

  107. JKW says:

But if you watch Camilles talking head shots…she does kind of the same thing. She says whatever and then tilts her head and gives this odd smile. It’s almost like she is embarrassed or an apologizing for what she said. Or maybe she thinks she it’s cute ? It looks very phony. At least no one flipped a table so classier than NJ.

  108. MSU Chicago says:

Geez, what can I say about this epsidoe of BH? One, is I love Lisa, especially seeing last week’s episode. I think I love her the best. Her husband is also very charming. About Camille, I do not know what to say. I think that all they ladies and gents that comment on this blog, are probably not Howard Stern fans. I am being presumptuous, and forgive me for that, but I am, and proud of it. That being said, I have heard Camille on his show. Just to let you know, I am not siding with her. I think she is ridiculous. On the Stern show, she never took the credit of Kelsey’s sobriety, as she currently does. If I correctly remember, she was an advocate for IBS, actually the talk about that was funny, in an advocate type of way. I also knew that she was a “dancer.” I wish I remembered if it was stripper or not, because I do not. I have a problem with her bitching about the NY condo. She did not grow up rich, even if she did, she isn’t the only person who did, so deal with it! OMG, she did have Ramona eyes, but I appreciate Ramona eyes, not Camlles. I love Kyle. Call that crazy out! I do not belittle the posters that love Camile, but my goodness. watching this episode, I actually felt bad for Kim. Obviously she has had it rough. None of of us has been in her shoes, Thank God, but I feel for her, because she is whack1

  109. MSU Chicago says:

Sorry about the long post, especiallywhen it my friend!

  110. Kat says:

Noelle, where have you been? I miss your nocturnal posts.

  111. TrueLifeDiva says:

@Kat, hey girl:-D how are you today? It’s 4:49 am in my neck of the woods. Up pretty early.

Followed the hundreds of posts yesterday and I’m glad KLMH apologized to you. It was like pulling teeth to get her to see the obvious but in the end she finally acknowledged the troll was indeed a troll. I never got an apology in my situation. Matter of fact KLMH even included my FAMILY when slamming me in defense of that nutjob CoyotteeFlower/KirksvillMo. So while I’m glad you two hugged it out, I will keep my distance from KLMH and her uninformed judgmental ways. Way too obtuse for me. And luckily for me, this is the internet and I can just scroll past her comments :-). Seeing her argue with EVERYONE yesterday gave me some vindication, but it also gave me a headache. Today is a new day and I’m ready for some fresh snark! 😀

    • Kat says:

@TrueLifeDiva your post caused a great dialogue. By the time I got here so many things had come to light… I’m glad I read the posts here first instead of hitting the reply button.

I went to RTea. Wow. WTF! “open threads”???
Trolls have been busy. I’m fairly certain the person will be back.
I checked out twitter. HolyBatScat !

Thank you lady! You have had my respect for a long time and I’ve never seen you post an ill word until you were attacked. When you see the same thing again and again you develop skills. You have them.

And thank you to everyone that offered me a break for my very direct comment. I appreciated your posts.

    • klmh says:

Glad you got that off your mind and am happy this will be a new and better day for you. I don’t know your family and can’t for the life of me figure out what you’re talking about, but since you are addressing this to someone else, its a mute point. If you have something to say to me, please do so. I won’t miss the post that way.
I made a general apology and admitted my error. I also wrote that those who explained their thoughts to me did so in a positive way, and I appreciated that as well.
I supported someone you didn’t think I should, but Im not going to ask for your permission to voice my opinions or concerns about the treatment of new posters to this blog. I am going to wait 48 hours and try to keep up with the posts. No excuses, just mis-steps and misunderstanding on my part.
If you are in need of a hand written apology for something I have already apologized for, with the way you have handled your post to someone else, gossiping about me, nope, not gonna happen.
And no worries about you not reading my posts. It will be a two way street.

    • viki55 says:

Just IMHO but this type of post is childish and unnecessary. Please take your own advice and treat today as a new day instead of starting it off with passive aggressive attacks where the issue as already been put to rest. There is no need to advertise your intention to ignore someone, just do it and stay sweet:)

    • OneMoreInBoston says:

I was thinking a lot last night about a comment that the wise and wonderful HD said yesterday about Lord of the Flies and this blog.

IMHO, you are an alpha female. I believe that because I know I am an alpha. (What the hell are we going to do when we get married?)

IMHO @klmh is an alpha female too. That means we all want to be top dog and without even meaning to we jockey for that position. That can lead to a clash of personalities.

I know for myself, sometimes when I am in the middle of a proverbial duel to the death, I am completely mystified as to why I am fighting. But I HAVE to. It feels like it’s in my DNA, like there is some ancient warrior blood in my veins.

My beautiful darlin girl, you and @klmh are much more alike than you realize.

It seems that you are holding onto a grudge. I’m not going to tell you to let it go, because if you’re like me you will bristle and rear up on your hind legs and kick me to death.

Use your alpha female, warrior instincts to fight the good fight for those that can’t fight for themselves, not for a border skirmish with another alpha.

      Sending you love.

  112. error404 says:

The producers blog says that Kim was there for the unfilmed comment and has her own version of what was said… Hmmm

We’ll see what happens next week, but if Kim accuses Taylor of stirring Camille up before dinner, she’ll only be saying out loud what crossed most of our minds. And if it’s untrue, wouldn’t Taylor just simply deny it, not threaten to beat Kim up “Oklahoma style”. Whatever happened to customer service? lol

    • American Idiot says:

In Lisa’s blog she says that she (Lisa) finally gets to the bottom of what happened after everyone went to “refresh”. She says it comes out in a later episode.

      • MAMAZ says:

        Camille Grammer
        Worst Housewife ever
After only three episodes I dislike her more than Jill Zarin, more than Danielle Staub, more than Teresa Giudice, more than Kelly Killoren Bensimon, more than Tamra Barney, more than Alexis Bellino, more than Vicki Gunvalson, more than Phaedra Nido.

        • Scorpiosue1102 says:

          Ditto. She is completely unlikeable.

          • housewifeaddict says:

Phaedra is unlikeable in a likable sort of way – like the crazy cousin you love to laugh at. Her drama is all in her head. And she knows it. Camille – urgh.

            • MAMAZ says:

“Unlikable in a likable sort of way.”
I know what you mean. She’s the Atlanta housewife we love to hate.
I just want Camille to go away.

            • kbinldo says:

Phaedra at least comes across as a carnival side-show/Rose Parade float so at least there’s something enjoyable to watch. Camille makes me want to throw stuff at my TV.

  113. boston02127 says:

Have a good day everyone. 🙂

  114. vilzvet says:

Wow, when was Kelsey Grammer’s little interview filmed?? It had to be right around the time he met his new lady and was firmly in NY doing the show. He almost seemed apologetic for the firestorm to come. I did love seeing his kids, I believe he is the bio dad? His first and only son so far is adorable, so is his daughter. I believe he has 3 daughters altogether but I could be wrong. Two are grown?? The apartment in NY was beautiful, loved the kitchen, it does sound like it is very big but when you consider the sizes of other celeb apartments in the city it actually isn’t, LOL. But who told Camille she had to bring a house manager and more than one nanny, I really think the kids could have had their own rooms, sheesh!

  115. JazzNightOut says:

The funniest part of the show last night was Lisa’a attempt to get the hypnotist to have Kyle quack like a duck when she fastened her seat belt. She is a kick.

Can’t figure out why Camille has gone after Kyle. Does Kyle appear to Camille as her greatest threat on the show or the most vulnerable? Or is Camille just a paranoid narcissist?

    • JazzNightOut says:

BTW, I think Kyle is correct when she says that Camille projects her insecurities onto others. And she had the flirtation with Nick all by herself. Nick never responded to her come ons.

      • Scorpiosue1102 says:

Totally agree about Nick. He seemed uncomfortable with all her sexual innuendo’s. For some reason I don’t think Nick’s wife will be happy with these innuendo’s when she seems them. Also, to learn that Nick and Tricia have a baby and Camille still keeps up with the “look at my butt” crap that girl’s do in high school is just too much.

    • MAMAZ says:

Because she knew she could push Kyle’s buttons.
Kim would have wilted, Lisa would have calmly told her she was wrong , Adrienne would have stared her down and Taylor would have beat her ass. She knew she get get Kyle to go off and Camille’s Staublike mind she would come out a winner.

      • housewifeaddict says:

I’m glad she didn’t pick Kim. Kim is too vulnerable. I don’t want to see Taylor fight with her.

    • error404 says:

I think it’s because Kyle’s the hot head and most likely to kick off and attack if provoked. If Camille pulled this shit on Lisa or Adrianne, they’d probably lust laugh in her face and move on. I’m convinced it’s an orchestrated manuver by Camille to start some drama and gain some sympathy/relevance.

Or, as Camille herself points out in her blog, she arrived in NY knowing that her marriage was in serious trouble, so big mouth Kyle may have just been in the wrong place at the wrong time as Camille’s whole world was crashing down around her and she was striking out like a wounded animal.

      • JazzNightOut says:

Yes, I think you are right about the marriage. Her failing marriage has been at the bottom of her comments all along. She is overcompensating for the insecurities its failure has brought up in her. I think that is the source of all her behavior, especially her sexual provocation. What a mess.

And I agree, Mamaz, Kyle straight forwardness would give Camille the most bang for her buck in a rumble. Da dat de da da. An attempt at West Side Story’s Jet’s theme music.

  116. ilovelynn says:

hi kat and waxdiva, it’s nice to be missed!

I posted this on rch: my daughter went to the grand opening of the new disney store in times square last tuesday and she said kkb was there. I told her kkb would go to the opening of an envelope! anyway, she said everyone thought kiki looked awful and old!(and “leathery”)

  117. Scorpiosue1102 says:

Camille nailed the coffin last night in the amount of disgust that I have for her and it wasn’t even about the argument. It was all about her mom having cancer. It is very understandable for people that have jobs, kids, etc. to not be able to be half way across the country to help out their cancer stricken mothers. It’s another thing when you have multiple homes with house managers, nannies and disposable income. Sooooo instead of visiting and helping your mother you go to Hawaii and COMPLAIN at how hard it is to plan the vacation. For real? I don’t know their relationship, but if she’s willing to film an interlude with her mom she must have a relationship with her. Also, she can’t live in a 3,500 sq. ft apartment for a year even though her sick mother is in New Jersey. She is just awful.

On to the whole argument with Kyle. I do not believe Camille at all. From what we’ve seen of Kyle she has no problem telling someone how they feel i.e. Kim. I don’t see Kyle as someone who would say something and then deny it. Camille was just relishing how upset Kyle was getting. It is very hard to argue when something was not said at all. To me, I think Camille wants people on her side at any cost and will not hesitate to throw anyone under the bus. Camille also loved telling anyone and everyone what was said. Lastly, the most telling thing about this whole thing was Kyle’s talking head where she said that getting on Camille’s bad side could hurt her husband’s business and she wouldn’t want that to happen so why would Kyle put her husband’s business in jeopardy….well, she wouldn’t.

  118. WindyCityWondering says:

I have to remind myself that these women are not life long or even casual friends – they were thrown together for this show. Cams is insecure and self serving – going after a remark about holiday plans and turning it into something hateful doesn’t happen amoung “friends”. Would we ask our friend who is going on a trip if her husband or children were going too? Of course!
IMHO Taylor stirred that pot between cocktails and dinner. Kim did/said something too because she looked very scared that something was going to come out at dinner that pointed to her behavior. Neither of them tried to diffuse the situation or support either Kyle or Cams. And Lisa was the only one who just wanted to have fun!
We have to remember that these ladies are not really friends and some more so than others are very insecure in their little BH fantasy world.

You’re right about the whole them not knowing each other as a group. It’s very six degrees of Kevin Bacon. Taylor and Adrienne are friends. Adrienne and Lisa are neighbors. Lisa has known Kyle for years. Kyle and Kim obvious and Camille got on the show just because she’s the wife, soon to be ex, of Kelsey Grammer. Let’s be real if she wasn’t she wouldn’t be on there.

I think Camille is just a horrible person the way she was asking her mother about the treatment she was getting for her cancer then changed the subject back to her and her “fake troubles” was DISGUSTING to me.

@Kat, you and a few others on this board know the truth about what I’m saying.
I love how people can read something with a specific reference and not understand it if it didn’t happen 5mins ago. If I called someone a name twice, lectured them on how to live, and disparaged their family in a blog… I’d remember it a month later. Talk about short attention spans. I guess lecturing people frequently causes you to forget details. And for anyone else who has an opinion,”IMHO”, refrain from commenting unless you know what you are talking about. You knew what I was refering to in BOTH situations. Johnny-come-latelys who don’t know the back story really should shut up. JMHO 😉

      I posted this upthread:

@OMiB, will take your advice to heart and give it much consideration. As you told someone recently “I don’t suffer fools gladly”. I’m happy at least you and Kat get me 😉

I get you, my beautiful alpha. Stay strong and classy.

      Sending you love.

@TLD I went searching on the blog and couldn’t find the posts you are referencing. I searched 10/13 forward till wulfie was gone. But… Jeepers made a nasty post to you that was deleted. Could it have been in that post?

I do remember that fiasco, but I don’t recall klmh posting like that to you. That is why I went looking.

Unfortunately it was wulfie baiting you that caused her to expose part of her M.O. You took hits. It is difficult for me to read wulfies pleas without getting frustrated and angry again.

  122. TrueLifeDiva says:

@Kat, during that situation, the beast lamented to any who would listen that I called her the “B” word. At one point I replied, “And you still are one.” This is where the other person in question joins the fray by calling me a name and makes a reference to my family. They then follow my comments further down and repeat themselves in hopes of getting me to respond in kind. It was obvious they didn’t know what they were talking about, simply focused on one word and not seeing the hysteria that followed. They also didn’t notice this person was soon banned. They didn’t consider the ridiculous farewell rant that clued even the most casual observers in to that fact that she was a crazy troll. Maybe those posts have since been deleted by Lynn. But seeing as it was less than 3wks ago, still fresh in my mind. I don’t quickly forget going off on someone, so I’m confused by the amnesia being displayed by my attacker. Seeing a similar blind attack on you brought it all back. If someone is going to be a crusader, they should at least have their facts straight. And admit when they are wrong. But thank you for your support.

God morning, everyone! I am home today recovering from some bad food last night. I enjoyed catching up (as always). Kat, you said the funniest thing the other day – you said, “what a load of Zarin!” Funny!!
So, answering the question of when I found y’all, I go back to the hubpages. Like many others I found my way here through Jill/Susan’s bogus review on Amazon. You know, I find it hugely ironic that Jill actually sent many of us here! I’ll bet she regrets mentioning the blog.
Loved the fortune cookie. I agree that there is a certain tone to troll-text.
I enjoy reading posts from the regulars, and I especially appreciate how the lurkers have come out to play yesterday and today. Welcome to all of you (even thought it is Lynn’s blog, we all feel so at home we feel like co-hosts in greeting and supporting new contributors). Real City HW and Stoopid HW, I also enjoy reading your blogs. Thanks so much to Lynn for keeping things so open here. So unlike insecure Camille. I see a really odd, almost pathological glint in her eye when she is asking questions in her little girl voice. It actually changes into what I think she calls innocence mode, but the “act” never reaches her eyes. I have seen that same phenomenon in other celebrities eyes. Sort of a cold calculation…
Anyway, I am going shopping in a bit – I have to find something sort of dressy to wear to a “do” Monday night, but I will check in later to see how the day goes in IHJZ land.
    ((((HUGS)))) to all!

Morgan scares me. He seems creepy to the point of being a psychopath. Did anyone else catch him saying to the judges that he “hoped he could hold it together” as he explained his chocolates? He said this while not changing expression from his usual smug, supercilious look. I think he’s trying to manipulate the judges and his fellow contestants. If I were his fellow contestants I would watch my back. He showed absolutely no remorse for elbowing Heather. In fact he seemed proud of himself.
