I Hate Jill Zarin The Real Housewives of Atlanta

I Hate Jill Zarin    Real Housewives of Atlanta

BREAKING NEWS:  Dispite her denials last night on Watch What Happens Live, today Life & Style Magazine announces that Kim admits she is pregnant.

NeNe Leakes, like many real housewives is realizing that if she and her husband divorce, she’s going to need some sort of income.  Unlike most real housewives, she takes a meeting with people who can put her in front of the cameras as an entertainment reporter on Channel 11 news in Atlanta. NeNe has the right attitude and  enthusiasm for the job, as she explains her aspirations. She knows the entertainment industry and even has some connections. She’s plans on interviewing some of the biggest names in the business and really only asks for a corner office with a window in return. The folks at Channel 11 offer NeNe a cubical and invite her to join a brainstorming session with all the players at the station.

NeNe tells us that she’s never held a real job before, these shows really do give kids the wrong idea about life, she made it look pretty easy. A job interviewing celebrities on the air for an Atlanta local news channel is not exactly in the cards for most housewives. NeNe plans on interviewing some of her neighbors including Monique’, but her dream interview, Tyler Perry is her goal and so the station pairs her with an award winning photojournalist and a producer as NeNe assures them that she’s not a diva. I hope that we see more of this storyline going forward. I can’t wait to see NeNe interviewing the big celebrities!

Sheree is featured in tonight’s episode beginning with a party for two of her children who are having major milestones in their lives, her son is beginning High School and her daughter is moving on to Jr. High School. We finally meet Sheree’s ex-husband Bob Whitfield, the man in season one who was supposed to provide Sheree with her seven-figure settlement in the divorce. I guess the ratings for The Real Housewives of Atlanta are drawing people who would probably never otherwise agree to appear on the show, and for good reason. Bob Whitfield is made out to be a jealous ex-husband as he’s shown trying to listen in on Sheree’s discussion about her new boyfriend, “Dr” Tiy-E. You can read about the fine doctor’s credentials here:

NeNe attends Sheree’s fun party even partaking in the go-karting but channeling Vicki from OC and screaming the entire time that she’s on the track. I hope that Bravo was exaggerating NeNe’s blood-curdling screams for the show because that was ridiculous! A grown woman screaming like a little girl can be most irritating.

Sheree also hosts a card game as the gang all gets together to play Spades. Lawrence, Kandi and her mom, Cynthia and Peter, Lisa and Ed, all get to meet Sheree’s new guy but it’s NeNe who recognizes him as the center of an Atlanta scandal years before. It seems the fine doctor who leads the group in prayer prior to playing cards was the subject of discussion in Atlanta when he claimed to be a psychologist and his credentials were questioned. The group questions his education and Tiy-e explains that he attended Southern Illinois University, Eastern Illinois University and then oops, we learn that he actually got his PhD on line. Kandi appropriately questions if getting a PhD on line is even possible.

Next week Sheree will actually confront the good Doctor about his education and claims of being a real doctor. Kandi visits Phaedra at the hospital in Augusta Georgia where Phaedra is preparing to give birth to her baby boy. During Kandi’s visit Phaedra’s doctor stops by to check on his patient and confirms what everyone already knew. Phaedra is in fact a full 40-weeks pregnant and is at full term. Doing the math quickly in her head, Kandi realizes now what everyone has been saying all along, Phaedra was pregnant when she got married… Kandi informs the group at Sheree’s card party that she heard the doctor with her own ears, restoring faith in Atlanta’s ob/gyn community. As much as Phaedra tried to sully her doctor’s reputation by spreading those rumors that the he planned on inducing labor at 7-months. I was starting to think that it was Phaedra’s doctor who got his license on line.

Kandi must have inked a sweet deal with Bravo as she’s filmed with friends and family at her clothing boutique, Tags with family and friends celebrating her birthday. Kandi’s now promoted her music, including her release of her new CD and her clothing boutique.

Lisa Wu Hartwell is seen here as well along with Sheree and Kim’s big entrance that included a large gift wrapped in pink with a gold engraved gift tag. For something that would have fit into a medium sized gift bag, the wig inside this large gaudy gift is another indication of just how self-centered Kim Zolciak can be. I’m all for Kandi losing that shocking pink Woody Woodpecker hair but this wig wasn’t the answer.

Cynthia and Kim took a back seat tonight as we see them only as guests at a party here and there but the star of tonight’s episode is new mommy, Phaedra Parks. I don’t know who this woman’s friends are but whoever has been whispering in her ear about childbirth seems to be a bit morbid. Phaedra talks about maternal….maternal….wait, maternal….death, yeah that’s the medical term, maternal death. What has this woman been drinking?

After weeks of being missing in action, Apollo makes his return to the show checking into a hotel in Augusta Georgia near the hospital. The couple is joined by Dr. Lue and his wife as they discuss the birth of Phaedra’s baby and enjoy the lovely snacks provided by the hotel. Dr. Lue asks the couple what their own birth weight was as Phaedra once again shows her ignorance and repeats that Apollo was born 3-months early and weighed over 8-lbs. Confirming that Phaedra has no clue about giving birth, Mrs. Lue gasps at the unlikely announcement of an 8-lb preemie.

Phaedra Parks’ facial expressions are priceless, she cannot hide her emotions about anything as we see her squirm and complain about absolutely everything, the size of the bed, the view from her window, her mother’s lack of mathematical skills….ok I made that last one up but it’s clear mom’s ignoring the obvious. Atlanta socialite, attorney Phaedra Parks was, in fact, pregnant when she got married breaking mom’s rules! The experience of childbirth is a bit different for every woman, I would imagine, but I have never heard the word death uttered so frequently in scenes of a live, healthy birth as with this crazy woman. Childbirth is the closest you’ll come to death, she explained. I was always told that a sneeze was the closest you’ll come to death but what do I know. I never knew I was so close to death as I gave birth, in fact, death never even crossed my mind once. This woman is morbid!

After several hours of blissful epidural laced labor, Dr. Lue concludes that Phaedra is going to need a C-section and begins to prepare her for the fact that she will be a mother in 30-minutes. Accompanied by her husband Apollo and her mother, Phaedra experiences the miracle of childbirth. She is obviously pissed off at the people who’ve previously described it to her as “beautiful”. It is nothing of the sort, in fact it involves blood and pain. Liars!!!

One can only hope that this baby is blessed with a compassionate, kind and caring father because I don’t see any maternal instincts in Phaedra. Writhing in pain, Phaedra is crying ouch and ooooh as the doctor delivers her baby boy, I almost cried witnessing this woman calling her newborn baby boy, “gross!” But most touching had to be when she described her baby as “Chinese looking” but assured us that it was definitely her baby because there were no other pregnant women in the room who had just given birth.

What a relief!

@Kandi: I was frowning cuz I asked if there were any other grandchildren & she said no I’m the only 1 married. As if people never have Kids before marriage… Ummm she was talkin to me & I have a daughter & I’m not married obviously. Not proud about it but it is what it is.

@Kandi: I totally explained the Tardy 4 The Party royalty situation in detail on my blog on BravoTv.com a few weeks ago. Its #2long2tweet

@Kandi: Response about royalties @Kandi http://www.bravotv.com/the-real-housewives-of-atlanta/season-3/blogs/kandi-burruss/music-and-mistakes

No tweets from Atlanta’s newest housewives this week, both Cynthia and Phaedra limited their tweets to just one announcing the show would be on tonight.

As I write, none of the ladies blogs have yet to be posted, if you haven’t yet read last week’s, there are a few that were finally posted include Kim and Kandi but several are still missing.

Happy Monday!

Until Next Time…..

I guess Phaedra’s mom is just going to go on believing that stupid story and ignore what the doctor said, lol. Too funny. I think I heard everyone on twitter scream at their TVs at the same time. BUSTED!!!!!!

    • Ruby Newbie says:

I don’t know if it’s arrogance or ignorance that made Phaedra think she could pull off a lie like that on national television! You gotta be kiddin’ me?!? Or maybe it was just a shameless attempt to get as much airtime as possible. Maybe she manufactured this storyline. I dunno. Still trying to figure out if she’s really that crazy.

    • Zoey says:

I can’t believe someone would rather be thought of as really, really dumb or a really deceitful person to make up Phaedra’s story, rather than be thought of as having sex before she got married. Her ideas are screwed up. Her poor kid…

  2. Tonia says:

Just got a tweet from CNN that Kim Z told life and style she is 3mos pregnant

  3. WindyCityWondering says:

Thanks for a great blog Lynn.
Must admit that Phaedra’s birth scenes weren’t as horrible to watch as I thought they would be. The baby is adorable and I wish we would have seen Apollo’s reaction. I also wish that Phaedra gets hit by a mack truck full of maternal instinct!

  4. Wall St Lady says:

I can’t stand Phaedra but I don’t think I can judge anyone who’s going through labor. I’m sure plenty of people say and do strange things. It is an intense situation and a huge physical and emotional stress. Not to mention there are drugs involved. Everyone reacts differently. I’ll hold someone accountable for what they say under normal conditions, but not while they are in labor or being cut open. I think to say it’s just mind over matter is hurtful to other women. Maybe it was mind over matter for you, but each person is different and each woman’s anatomy is different. I don’t have any kids but I personally can’t imagine not making a sound during childbirth, and I don’t see any special nobility in that. I have screamed over far less!

    Hi Tim
I haven’t seen u here Befor. I am glad u r here. We love strong opposing thought provoking opinions. But in Quincy’s case I know she was just sharing her opinion. Quincy is a hero & example of unusually fine character. If u stay around u too will come to admire & love her. She does many things that are amazing and often way off the beaten track but always with dignity and honor.
She rides horses & cares for them including shoveling manure. She is a 1st rate award winning artist. She repairs statues for churches out of the goodness of her heart. She is married to a world renound Dr. From the middle East yet leads a unique but unpretentious life. She has raised 3 lovely ,professional children that were as academically outstanding as they now are professionally. Recently she was gone for a week to paint and clean an apartment for her son so that it could be sold. I can guarantee if I had her financial success and our age(5mumble mumble) I wouldn’t have lifted a brush (not even for the Pope).
    But that is our Quincy.
It doesn’t surprise me at all that Quincy went natural. She is an example to us all that it is still possible to do many things many of us don’t do.
I never had children but I believe it is best for the baby to avoid drugs unless there are sudden complications. It doesn’t surprise me at all that she would personally make a sacrifice that; in this day and time, most mothers don’t choose(I sure wouldn’t ). Once she walked miles after a terrible ,scary act of nature to feed & check on her mom. And don’t let me forget ,every Sat.she does her mom & several of her mom’s 80yr+ friend’s hair the old fashion way, with curles then under the dryer.
I can promise u not one single person on this blog took offense at Quincy’s comments about her birthing experience or took it as an offense to any one who took a different path. We all just marveled at how cool she continues to reaeal to us that she is.
Personally I was inspired by learning but another amazing experience I got to see thru my very dear dear Quincy’s experience.
I hope u hang around so that u too have can experience the very cool lady that the LynnFam truly loves from the “sticks” of Quincy Il

WSL, is that you? Your green quilt is throwing me off.

BTW, I just posted AB chocolate chess pie recipe on boston02127’s blog in your honor. If you get a chance, I would love your mother’s lemon chess pie recipe!

      • American Idiot says:

WSL it sounds like you – but I almost didn’t recogize you. You changed your hairdo. Good to see you again.

        • quincyil says:

          It’s her. I am positive.

WSL, I am glad that you are posting here again. It really bothered me that some people who really didnt’ have our board’s interest at heart, would decide that you should go away.

Lynn’s rules are so simple. Don’t attack fellow posters. We can all agree to disagree without starting the Kyle/Camille dinner conversations and attacking each other on personal levels. It’s easy to do this. Put “in my opinion” or “in my experience.”

Life is so short. Enjoy it.

      • Where is bostons blog at? website? Also, did you all notice last week episode (I think it was) when Phadrea said that all her other sisters had kids b4 they were married? So what is the big freaking deal? Why lie when you know your on TV & know from experience from watching other house wive shows that Andy has no mercy and laugh at you on WWHL along with everyone else. As an attorney you would think you should re0search the show to determine if it will hurt your rep. .
I can’t understand why they would let Sonja join when she claimed she never watch RHNY before either. I like her dont get me wrong. BUT WTF? U never watched b4? I would never do a show with out watching at least an episode first. LuAnn supposedly was her friend so you mean to tell me that LuAnn for got to tell her but told every one else to watch? You know Ms. (Mrs. at the time) Proper said “watch me on tv I’m on a new reality series.
Anyways, I will leave you all with a joke. Hope not to offend anyone.
A guy calls his buddy the horse rancher& says he’s sending a friend over to look at a horse.
His buddy asks, “How will I know him?”That’s easy,he a midget w/ a speech impediment.”So, the midget shows up ,& the guy asks him if he’s looking for male or
        female horse. “A female horth.”
So he shows him a prized Philly.
“Nith lookin horth. Can I thee her eyeth”?
So the guy picks up the midget & gives the horse’s eyes a once over. “Nith eyeth, can I thee her earzth”? So he picks the little fella up again,& shows him the horse’s ears. “Nith earzth, can I see her mouf”?
The rancher is gettin’ pretty ticked off by this point, but he picks him up
again & shows him the horse’s mouth. “Nice mouf, can I see her twat”Totally pissed at this point, the rancher grabs him under his arms& rams the midget’s head as far as he can up the horse twat, pulls him out &slams him on the ground. The midget gets up, sputtering & coughing& shocked.PerhapthI should rephrath that; Can I thee him wun awound a wittle?

    • TLM says:

On the previous blog I said I never directed comments at Quincy…pls see all my comments toward the end of that blog.

    • TLM says:

WSL, I don’t recall when I started posting but it’s been at least 8 months, maybe close to a year? Been here a while.

I stay away from individual confrontations…my comments were directed generally since I saw a few comments that seemed to take the same position on “mind over matter” childbirth. I skim through most comments and I didn’t even look at who originally brought it up. I wasn’t aware it was Quincy until she commented on my comment. LOL.

      Have a great Thanksgiving!

  5. American Idiot says:

I was not able to watch Atlanta yet, but am enjoying all the comments about the show. And about some people’s birth experiences.I had two very large babies, 8lbs 8 ounces and 9 lbs 11 ounces. Both vaginal but with epidurals and episiotomoys (sp?)

But I am going to make a confession here. When they were born (90) and (93), I made the very unpopular decision to not breastfeed them. I got alot of criticism, more with the second baby because breastfeeding had really grown in popularity by then. But my kids were and still are healthy. They hardly every got sick or had to go to the doctor. Not breastfeeding was the right decision for me. But like most things major in life, I received alot of unsolicited advice.

    • LynnNChicago says:

I can relate to that, I actually gave birth in the 80’s the first time and honestly cannot remember being offered a choice. Immediately after giving birth (not in a birthing room, but a regular delivery room) I was returned to my room and the baby was taken to the nursery where he was immediately given formula.

    • cdnfillie58 says:

I did the same too (72) (75) and both my babies were 9-8 and 8-15. I had to have them both induced cause they didn’t seem to want to come out anytime soon, my son was 3 weeks overdue and my daughter, well let’s just say I told my ob-gyn she was coming out on that date come hell or high water. Hated being pregnant. And to comment on the last blog about Phaedra’s reactions when you first see your new baby, I kinda can relate (slap me now) but after 27 1/2 hrs of labour, I actually felt (for a split second only) pissed off that he had been so stubborn about coming out….kinda turned my head away when they showed him to me and promptly went to sleep. 😦

    • ches says:

I breastfed my oldest 2. The first for 6 months, but I was 2 months pregnant and was just too tired to continue. On top of it she was starving. The second I tried for 3 months and gave up because she was also constantly hungry. When I was pregnant with my last, the woman who lives behind me asked me if I was going to breastfeed him. I said no way. I had to listen to her basically call me an unfit mother, tell me he would be small, sickly and suffer from failure to thrive. I am typing this waiting for my 6’6″, never been sick a day in his life, son to come home from college. Ha ! Proved her wrong!

  6. LynnNChicago says:

    From Twitter:

@Kimzolciak We are happy and excited to announce that Yes we are expecting. 🙂 http://twitpic.com/3966lh

I feel for her daughters, worse than that I feel for the baby daddy who will be tied to this woman for the rest of his life in one way or another, Kim can also look forward to financial support for at least another 18 years.

    • housewifeaddict says:

? Isn’t watch what happens LIVE? Silly girl, why lie one day, and announce the next. What’s to be gained?

      • LynnNChicago says:

I think she had to allow Life & Style to make the announcement, she probably got some $$$ for that exclusive.

        • housewifeaddict says:

I actually haven’t had my coffee yet – and am now remembering that she didn’t deny it last night – just ducked the question with “why do people think I’m pregnant, do I look fat? There was never a no. 🙂

          • quincyil says:

You are right about her comment. I thought it was a denial, but it really wasn’t. LOL.. Gosh, we will get to see Kim deliver. I bet there were be a party going on in the room.

            • Powell says:

Yeah. She’ll have “tardy for the party” blarring. Hopefully we won’t have to endure a Phaedra type baby shower.

    • Rabble Rouser says:

If I were that guys mother, I think I would be in tears over this.

  7. AZ Girl says:

Thanks for the re-cap Lynn. This time change just kills me. I can’t seem to stay up for the new episodes and then Sunday’s re-runs are during football games. Hopefully I can catch up.

As for Phaedra she is a trip! Obviously she has brains because she passed the bar but she flunks basic manners. I could never EVER consider a new born baby “gross”. It is such an amazing experience even with the pain. Trust me I was no hero like Quincy. Stuck it out as long as I could and then got the epidural.

I can’t figure out Sherrie. She is beautiful and has a pretty decent personality, why is she even bothering with the fake Dr. dude. He just reeks of bad vibes.

OT: Someone on TVWOP posted Camille’s Playboy pictures. She was heavier and her legs are really thick. They are not very good. Weird panties.

    • error404 says:

Phaedra probably passed the bar online… a service Dr Ty-ie’s university of love probably offers. That girl is dumber than a box of pet rocks.

I still stick by my theory that Phae’s really a stand-up comic. It’s really the only thing that could possibly explain the nonsense that comes out of her mouth.

    • klmh says:

I don’t know about then and now for her, but the pic of her in a bikini in Hawaii showed one fabulous body. imo

  8. WindyCityWondering says:

I can’t believe for a nano second that Sheree didn’t know about Dr Tyee being a broke ass poser – this is Ms Money over Love! Guess any storyline is a good storyline for this “actress”.

    • housewifeaddict says:

I was wondering that myself. Doesn’t she have internet? But that scene actually struck me as pretty sincere – especially NeNe’s reaction – which was priceless.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

And it was fun watching him sweat and explain over and over again about his “credentials”…..

  9. error404 says:

What’s with all the pregnancy lies on this show!

Kim is pregnant? How? A miracle of science I suppose. They seem more like the type of family that Brielle is preggers, but they go away to visit an “Aunt” for 6 months and then return with a surprise late in life baby for Kim. Grandma then raises the baby as hers, with sister/mom Brielle getting her GED.

    • American Idiot says:

Error, that sounds like an episode of Teen Mom.

      • error404 says:

LOL! I’ve never seen that show, but actually know people who did this!

        • American Idiot says:

Try “16 and Pregnant”. After one show, any teenager who thinks having a baby is glamorous will most definitely change her mind.

          • Rabble Rouser says:

I think it has the opposite effect. All those girls on Teen Mom are ‘celebrities’ now…..just like those idiots on the “Jersey Shore”. Being a moron on MTV pays off.

            • American Idiot says:

I agree somewhat. The girls from “Teen Mom” are all from the first year of “16 and pregnant” and yes they have become somewhat famous. But the girls after that first year, who are/were featured on “16 and Pregnant” during the second and third season have all had difficult times. Most start out thinking that life with a baby and boyfriend will be wonderful. They talk of weddings, apartments, finishing school, going to college. Almost all are very disillusioned by the time the baby comes. Sure, they love their babies, but for the most part the boyfriends disappear, they don’t finish school. They have no money, and almost always wind up living back with their parents. Almost every one of them in the final head shot says they wish they had waited to have children. That it really is too much for a teenager to handle, and they miss their old lives, their friend, their schools. So while Teen Mom may have made teenage pregnancy glamorous, I don’t think “16 and Pregnant” does. After watching, I feel so sad for some of the girls, because the road ahead will be difficult for them.

    • Zoey says:

That reminds me of Jack Nicholson’s story. From what I’ve read, his ‘sister’ was really his mother, and his ‘mother’ was really his grandmother. He never knew until after they had both passed away. I like how he responded when asked about this. He said something like ‘Show me a dame that can keep a secret like that and I’ll show you my kind of gal.’

    • LurkerAlso says:

Pardon, but did we ever get Kim’s real age? She was “29” a couple years ago according to her. Does that still stand?

If so, I don’t consider 31 “late in life.” LatER, since she has two older daughters 🙂

I always thought she seemed WAY older than she claimed, though. Anyone?

  10. error404 says:

Will Phaedra’s mom still live the lie? Of course! We all know “Christians” are best at stubborning clinging to lies that have no scientific proof! I have no doubt that Phaedra’s 8lb 7 month premmie was born on a flat world God created just before he molded Apollo from clay and then took a rib out to create Phaedra.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

      it’s a miracle!!!

    • LurkerAlso says:

Error, I didn’t care for that comment, and I doubt I am the only Christian on here who feels this way.

      • Zipit Zarin says:

I didn’t appreciate it either LurkerAlso. We all DO NOT know that Christians are whatever “stubborning” clinging is. I’m so sick of people getting away with making ignorant claims about Christians that they would never even think to make about any other group. Try any other group in that sentence and watch the fur fly but you and now I are the only ones to take umbrage. It’s pathetic. And error, take a gander at Dinesh D’Sousa in debates. He takes on Christopher Hitchens and Richard Dawkins and they lose. Just to name a few. And don’t try to say you said SOME Christians. You lumped them all together. Hmph!

  11. error404 says:

    Kim is 32.

Oh… My… God!!!! If I looked that old at 32, I’d stick my wig in an oven!

btw… baby daddy just turned 25.

    • JazzNightOut says:

      How old is Brielle?

    • quincyil says:

If she stops drinking and smoking, this miracle baby will probably help her health. We may also see her real hair because in pregnancy your hair grows thicker.

      I bet she’s enjoying eating.

    • Zoey says:

I agree, I just cannot believe she’s 32. My guess would be 40-45.

      • LurkerAlso says:

        I agree, Zoey! 🙂

      • KTinCT says:

Kim was in my high school class freshman year (she transferred after that year) It was for the school year 1992 – 1993 at a Catholic high school in CT. I will be 33 next month so 32 is accurate for her age.

        • Rabble Rouser says:

Thanks KT. I think I remember a few years ago her age being verified because no one could believe it. She doesn’t age well.

Do you have any stories about her?

          • TLM says:

I have said this before but I actually think Kim’s heavy makeup and the wigs age her. She basically is wearing stage makeup every day.

          • KTinCT says:

No, she definitely doesn’t age well. Unfortunately I don’t have many stories about her, none of the guys were really interested in her but her hair is a completely different story. I mean, we were 14 or 15 years old at the time and her hair was huge! I wish I had a scanner (I mostly use my iPad) because I have my freshman year yearbook and the girl probably had stock in AquaNet. She actually signed ,my yearbook with the words, “oh my God, look at my hair!!”.
Other than that, she was actually a nice girl, just liked to be the center of attention. She was loud and all, but harmless. Never nasty to anyone.
And definitely had some work done to her chest.
Wish i had a scanner to post the yearbook pic….

          • KTinCT says:

Also, since I can’t post the yearbook pic, the only route I can give you is to look for East Catholic High School in Manchester, CT for the freshman class of 1992-1993 and you might somehow be able to see her pic yourself. Her hair is huge 🙂

    • KTinCT says:

Kim was in my high school class freshman year (she transferred after that year) It was for the school year 1992 – 1993 at a Catholic high school in CT. I will be 33 next month so 32 is accurate for her age.

      • TLM says:

KT, my question is, how does Kim have an accent like she’s from Texas when she grew up in Connecticut??!!? I don’t get it…

        • quincyil says:

I think it’s a combination of CT and ATL and the result is TX. I go to CT now and the people in Manchester where Kim grew up sound like Midwesterners. She went to U Con for nursing and that is 10 minutes from my daughter’s house. I’ve driven past it many times.

        • KTinCT says:

Thanks for the backup, quincyil! And, TLM, I only stated she attended the same school as myself in CT for one year. I have no idea where she grew up or went after that year.

    Any Tudors fans here?

Remember when Catherine Howard’s former bff came and asked for a lady in waiting job, and Queen Cate was all “I don’t think so” until Lady Dede was like “Oh? Remember all of the secretes we used to have before you married? You wouldn’t want the King of TV sitcoms to hear about them, now would you?” and viola, Lady Dede was made the Queen’s hairdresser/bff and got to go to all of the King’s red carpet events.

    I’m just sayin…

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Interesting theme and I can see it in Atlanta…none of these women are discreet and there are probably way too many secrets to go around!

    • quincyil says:

I saw it too. Sat. night I wrote a guest blog with that same theme and sent it to Lynn. wow… when you read it you will laugh… We have like minds.

I love the Tudors and all of the movies on royalty.

    • JKW says:

I loved the Tudors. I remember that scene very well. It was the beginning of the un-doing of Catherine Howard. I wish they would continue it with Henrys kids.

    • twoile says:

Love, love, love historical dramas & the Tutors was/is no exception. I could feel C.Howards sense of intrepidation when her ol’friend arrived. The costumes 4 the series were/are “outstanding”! The ending was sloppy vis a vie the fantastic treatment up until the last episode. Do U like the Boardwalk series? I find it to be high quality as well & love the historical references, again the costumes are wonderful.

  13. T-REX says:

Okay, one can conclude with Kim Z’s pregnancy:
Big Poppa has been “fixed” because if he had not been, Kim would have been poppin out some “little poppettes” to keep his money.

Also, Football player money is not like Basketball or even Baseball. While you make Bonus money for making the playoffs, it’s no where near other sports. Also, in order to make the “yearly” payout plan for the NFL you need to be in the sport actively for I think 7 years, but not exactly sure if that’s changed to 5 years. While the NFL tries to help with your finances, a lot of players go “broke” after their NFL years unless they have very good money managers and most don’t. So, while Kim may be trying to trap this poor guy for the next 18 years she may find that down the road the money isn’t there.

    • TEB says:

I thought the same thing. He may not have the $$ in 5 years (especially if there is an injury).

    • Rabble Rouser says:

Exactly, the same way Sheree found out Bob’s money is GONE- and Lisa (although still with her hubby) had their BIG house fall into foreclosure.

      • T-REX says:

I have a good friend that played in the NFL, he is “vested” and receives a yearly check, he also helped work with Rookie and even established NFL players on how to manage their money. A lot of players don’t leave college for the NFL with a College degree, so their prospects for employment become very limited once they are done playing. They don’t understand that the money runs out, a lot of them just ignore the advice given on how to manage finances and wind up broke.

        • Ruby Newbie says:

I know the NBA and pro tennis have mandatory classes where they teach you about everything from money management to dealing with golddiggers (for real!) Wonder if the NFL has that and was Kroy sick that day?? LOL

          • T-REX says:

Probably TMI for the blog, but they are also told to wear a condom and to make sure not to leave it. Sorry if that made anyone go “Ewwwww”

            • Rabble Rouser says:

It wasn’t TMI- but how sad that they are even told not to leave it. But they aren’t wrong in that act of diligence.

I actually remember years ago there was a infamous child support case where the the ‘couple’ didn’t even have intercourse…..(now I hope this isn’t TMI) but there was ejaculation. Allegedly, she went to the bathroom and…er….spit it out….and inseminated herself.

Her lawyers claim that the semen was a ‘gift’ for her to do with as she pleased.

  14. SpunkyMonkey says:

I feel sorry for Phaedra’s kid. I mean, his mother’s first impression of him is gross? I cried the first time I saw my baby, and I can honestly say that I have never been the emotional, mushy, touchy feely type. And the whole thing about the doctor…he’s the only one she’ll let near her vajayjay? Um, gee, has she not had any prenatal care prior to this point?

    • Rabble Rouser says:

I think that this pregnancy obviously wasn’t planned; and while many women (and their partners) can delight in a ‘surprise’ pregnancy Phedrea wasn’t one of those women. She was so caught up in lying about when she actually conceived and treating it like a dirty little secret that I don’t feel she ever got to enjoy it.

      • quincyil says:

She’s pretty experienced, but I guess it can happen to nurses.

      • twoile says:

It looks to me that “P” was very frightened of the whole “birthing” process & either didn’t avail herself of “Our Bodies Ourselves” information or listened 2 the “country” stories as if true to some degree……..remember the “fear of god” IE purity, had its attending fables (w/ religious slant) to keep us in line, …….very similar to the actual “fairy tales”. Nothing has quite the impact as the hand/word of God instilled at a young age.

  15. skogsstig says:

Thanks to the poster beezer over at Twop, here’s another view on “Dr.” Tiye’s “credentials.” Good for beezer. 🙂

    >>Hold the phone. On “dr.” Tae-bo’s little cv that kittycat so kindly linked, all the schools he kept naming at the card game are listed. Except… it apparently took him 2 years to get a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, one year to get a Master’s in “counseling” psych (which is normally called clinical psych, in my experience, and absolutely takes longer than a year, though I suppose anything’s possible if one worked really hard, packed in classes like crazy and went someplace that didn’t require a thesis or serious externship), spent a single year in a Ph.D program, dropped out and then got his Ph.D from the esteemed Ashwood in… a year. In, again, ‘counseling psych.’ There’s generally clinical and there’s research, the latter you can get a Psy.D instead but ain’t either going to be done in a single year, or two.

A-ha. I just went and looked. Eastern Ill. has an MS available in clinical psych, which requires a year-long internship after completion of coursework, which is pretty usual and precludes what he claims he did – and they have a ‘counseling’ degree which is 48 credits, so even with summer classes, ain’t doing that in a year either.

I’m not even getting into the stupidity of claiming he got a BA in Poli Sci (and I wonder about that too, my school gave me a BS in it) or anything else in two years. I don’t care how many AP classes you take or intro shit you test out of, that’s just not happening.

I think the side eyes Lisa (I think Lisa’s a little nutty but I like her and it’s nice to see her back around) and Candy were throwing his way – not to mention Nene’s hilarious visceral reaction to him – were totally justified.<<

    Well reasoned. I'm with beezer.

  17. TrueLifeDiva says:

    My thoughts:
I come from an ultra conservative Apostlic faith upbringing and my grandfather was a pastor for 60+yrs. My mothers youngest sister got knocked up in college without the benefit of marriage. My grandmother immediately announced the “miracle” of the upcoming virgin birth. Everyone else in the family said,”Whatever.” We never corrected her out of respect, just changed the subject when grandma brought it up.

I will give her a pass on her comments on this episode. Everyone is laughing at her “close to death” comment but I’ve heard it before. Not in America but in other countries women are at high risk during pregnancy and labor. Phaedra should have done some research and she wouldn’t have been so scared. As for the “gross” comment, drugs. My mother was high risk after three miscarriages and I was born prematurely following a car crash that knocked my mom unconscious. When she came to, the nurse tried to hand me over telling my mom to breastfeed me. Moms reaction was to slap the nurse and roll over! Drugs make you act weird:-)

I hate the fact that she hires make up artists, wears a full weave, bought an Astin Martin, and spends lavishly on herself. The reason I hate this is because whenever her two youngest children appear on camera they look a hot mess. Her sons hair is never cut and rarely combed. And her youngest daughter is always shown with old, frizzed out braids. You can hook yourself up but the kids get overlooked? I dislike Sheree for a lot of reasons but to neglect your childrens grooming while selfishly spending top dollar on your own is selfish.

  18. TEB says:

I really am starting to believe that Phaedra is ‘acting’ for the cameras to get the most airtime. I don’t think anyone can be this crazy. Its just too much and it reeks of celebrity-seeking. I think she is probably a pretty smart lady. Unlike KKB or Camille who have relied on their looks to get ahead and developed into a narcissist (sp?) after being told how beautiful they were their whole life. Those two are crazy and I dont think they are acting. They aren’t smart enough to pull that off.

    • error404 says:

Ok, this is what I don’t get about Reality TV “acting”.

When you see a scripted comedy, and the couple acts all silly when the wife goes into labor, we all laugh because we know it’s scripted comedy.

But when it’s a reality show, and they “act” all stupid and/or crazy, we don’t laugh with them. We don’t. Not int he same way. “acting” on a reality show is about he dumbest idea any one ever had, and the housewives how have claimed that they do it, are all universally hated by the public, so why? Why?

I laughed 100x harder and more often over the fool that was “Frasier” than I ever did or will over Camille.

      • TEB says:

I agree with you Error that its a really dumb idea- but I think that is what is happening with Phaedra. I personally would never agree to be on a reality show for this exact reason. You can be an actor and play a ridiculous character and the masses will love you. You are on a reality show and make a foolish comment and you will be hated. Look at JZ. She was loved, got cocky, got real jealous and now is hated. Jealousy is a natural emotion to have but when it is dramatized and broadcast to millions- it can have quite the ripple effect.

    • icantstandthetoxicity says:

I think Phaedra is going out of her way to convince the viewers that she is the “classy” one but it’s not working. Her “act” has turned into a comedy routine and I don’t think that was her intention. LOL

      • TEB says:

toxicity- I sure hope this is the case, but for some reason I think this is her ‘persona’ as Q mentioned. Its too calculated to me. Of course, it could be the editing wizards at Bravo, too.

        • justanothermary says:

It’s exactly a combo of the two. Fakdra thought she would come off classy and smart but Bravo saw comedy gold and went with it. I’d bet she is REALLY pissed off by the edit she got. However, just the fact that she’s trying to pull off this “classy belle” thing is enough for me to not like her.

    • Ruby Newbie says:

I’m suspicious she may be working an angle. Maybe she wants to be a big attention grabber, feeling she can parlay that into spin-offs for herself and her clients. I bet if she got her own show, she’d suddenly regain her sanity.

    • Rabble Rouser says:

I am not African American but can only guess she’s giving her community a bad name.

I think she is giving HERSELF a bad name- I would hope that people wouldn’t hold her up as the epitome of the AA community and make judgments of other black women based on their perceptions of her.

As everyone here knows, or maybe doesn’t know , our WSL has been the subject of much commentary and debate both here and on other blogs.

Some posters on other blogs have even questioned why I (me? like I’m anyone?) would associate with her. WSL just sent me this, and this is why I absolutely adore this lady. She is an absolute hoot with an indomitable spirit:

“A lot what I needed to know about life, I learned from Noah’s Ark:

    1 : Don’t miss the boat.
2: Remember that we are all in the same boat, all have the invitation
3 : Plan ahead. It wasn’t raining when Noah built the Ark.
4 : Stay fit.. When you’re 600 years old, someone may ask you to do something really big..
5 : Don’t listen to critics; just get on with the job that needs to be done.
6 : Build your future on high ground.
7: For safety sake, travel in pairs, and use God’s plan.
8: Speed isn’t always an advantage. The snails were on board with the cheetahs.
    9: When you’re stressed, float a while.
10:Remember, the Ark was built by amateurs; the Titanic by professionals, but the architect for the Ark was the Almighty.

11:No matter the storm, when you are with God, there’s always a rainbow waiting.”

sending you love WSL…so happy you’re back

I didn’t know any of that. I think she is a good friend to me and I hope to be good friends to many people also. Why are so many people interested in the members of this board? We are becoming mini celebrities and before you know it, we will be asking for first class plane tickets and free fashions from designers. Actually, I someone would give me both of those things I really wouldn’t mind having my name slung around from board to board. Heck, I lived with that in my own town so having it happen in cyberspace makes cyberspace feel like home.

I’m not up to speed either. But, I try to scroll past the controversy. People can get really disturbingly weird online. I remember one nameless website where people were threatening to call the cops on each other, trying to find out who people “really” were and posting actual names and addresses and inviting other posters to harrass them in “real” life–waaaaay over the line. It. Was. Crazy. I got a chill up my spine just thinking otherwise normal seeming people could go all out crazy over silly cyber beef. I wasn’t involved in all that, but it scared me enough to just keep a low online profile. Never know who you’re chatting with…

Is there no chance that the opposition might let us call a truce since it’s the Holiday Season? There should be some negotiations possible that would end this. They ended wars in the past and many of us don’t want the fight. We didn’t even know they were at war.

Thanksgiving is a time of thanks and Christmas is a time of peace. If they think about this, I am going to look for a holiday truce every month for the next hundred years.

    • Rabble Rouser says:

Those other people can squawk all they want, in the end they are just spinning their wheels.

First they were saying she was a fraud- and now they are proven wrong they are just grasping at straws. They say things as if they are some sort of allegation (like with the key chains) but it has no legs or merit. In exchange for a $50 donation to fund Lynn’s radio show, you will get a key chain as a gift. Uh huh….and the controversy is?

Like I said in another post, she has managed BILLIONS of dollars in other peoples money over decades. She is a highly sought after and respected professional. Her integrity above reproach and has never been comprised when there was substantial amounts of money at stake, I’ll be damned before someone tries to comprise her credibility over what would be chump change on Wall St. That being said, I know no one here believes it. We know that the keychain was nothing more than a sweet gesture to help a friend, it doesn’t matter how creative those vultures try to get, it will not be made ugly.

What it boils down to is some people attract the likes of 16 year old girl from Down Under- or “Publicists” who can’t even garner interest in themselves and their own crappy tv shows…. while others attract the movers and shakers of wall street, lawyers, artists and poets, the muses of successful people ….it must suck to be ‘some people’.

      • quincyil says:

I respect WSL so much. I respect Lynn and so many others here. I’m not into fighting. I see people getting sick and having to fight terrible diseases every day. I want to help them. I don’t have the inclination to fight.

        • Rabble Rouser says:

I know what you mean, I mentioned before my daughter has some very concerning health issues which is why I don’t have the time or the energy to keep up with all the on line drama. I try not to take exceptions to things that are said online. Even in my personal life I can let a lot of things slide…..but I have my limits.

When I see people mucking about someone I care about…I will throw down. I see a difference between fighting and fighting back.

          • quincyil says:

Everyone has some problems in their life. To carry vendetta’s over a blog or support from someone online not being there for a few hours when the person was at work and not online seems excessive to me. I’ve seen women in the real world become upset over less than this.

They may be reacting to other issues. Transference and projection are common issues in cyberspace and in real housewives. People don’t realized that they are doing it.

    Great blog as always, Lynn.

Thanks for breaking the news here that Kim is actually pregnant. I had been hearing rumors and now I saw the link you posted. That was good gossip.

Everyone here probably knows my thoughts on Phaedra already. She is a board certified liar. If being dumb was a job, she would be the CEO. I have never seen anyone like her and I will not give her a pass for her blatant stupidity and lying.

Her mother-get off your high horse. Your daughter got pregnant before she got married and she was sleeping with an ex-con. Who gon’ check me, boo? Your daughter is like most women in the world, they like attractive men that can put it down in the bedroom. Phaedra is NO exception to this rule and just got caught up in a lie that NO ONE cares about but her religious parents. Who cares! I got pregnant at 19, wasn’t married and wasn’t thinking about getting married! Yip-pee-ky-yay! Life goes on.

    • quincyil says:

I agree. Let’s just all live our lives.

      • Kansas Girl says:

Quincy, I keep thinking about your post of some time back where you suggested Phaedra was raised in a somewhat restrictive environment and lived a kind of fantasy life in her head. I still think this fits. I wonder if her mother gave her pregnancy advice that over-rode the medical information she got from her doctors. She did say the baby would be raised “country”, which is surprising from someone who tries to be a refined lady. She’s an interesting puzzle of contradictions.

        • WindyCityWondering says:

Phaedra has her own world of her creation and the one she came from. It has to be difficult to make the two work together. Seeing her mom at the hospital explained alot about our puzzled, contradictory southern belle. I loved how Apollo just ducked under his headphones – he is both cute and smart!

        • HD says:

One thing Phaedra said which made think a lot about her when Kandi said you can have a baby and not be married. Phaedra said, “you can’t talk to my mom about anything.”

Classic. Her mom probably put this pressure on her to be the perfect little Christian girl/woman. Phaedra is an attorney to the “stars” (at least in ATL) produced a TV show on BET, probably does a few other things and I think she thought this would be a MAJOR disappoint to her family. She is supposed to be all that and a bag of chips and she ended up single and pregnant like so many other women. So that is why she created this lie.

I wish she would have woman’ed up and let it be what it was. I was pregnant at 19, I was the first to go to college, I got pregnant in college (I graduated on time as well) and yes, I didn’t want to disappoint my family but damn, the truth was the truth. Wasn’t any need to create a lie. That is why I have issues with her.

        • quincyil says:

Every one of the above posters are correct. I agree with you about Phaedra and her mom. I think the mom may have been raised like this also so I really don’t blame her for the predicament that Phaedra found herself in.

When we were young, there used to be a saying that “only the good girls get caught.” I just googled this and it comes from an Ann Rand novel. She was popular when I was a freshman in college.. so early 70s

What it meant is women who are inexperienced with sex which was was the 50s generation of my mom defined as good girls were the ones that accidentally got pregnant. Phaedra’s parent being ministers and seeming to be very conservative probably think like this.

So… this leads me back to Kim Zolciak getting caught.
Hmmmm…. Ann Rand idea may not apply to Kim Z.

        • TLM says:

Yes, I heard that thing about taking a 50-cent piece for the belly button and the baby “being raised country” and I thought, does this woman have multiple personalities?? After all that talk about unsophisticated people eating Spam out of cans and being beneath her way of life. Totally bizarre and contradictory.

Bethenny is skating next…I feel bad that she has to skate last! It sucks waiting around over an hour.

HD, I was wondering if you keep a journal? I was forced to start writing by an art teacher who wanted us to draw and think about art every day. She wanted us to write every day too. As a writer and poet, you must see ideas like photographers see photographs and painters see compositions. I am surrounded by creative people and I love eating and sharing with them. I love being out of the box with compositions that people look at and wonder why it works. Enigma….. I love letting people come to conclusions without spelling it out.

          • HD says:

@ Quincy, I truly do. I have journals EVERYWHERE and I see ideas for books or short stories every single day. I wish I just had the time to sit down and write them all out. It is like my mind is always thinking, “that would be a GREAT story.” I am a firm believer that every life has a story and that is the story I like to tell, why people end up the way they do, what makes them the way they are, etc. I love to talk to people that we often over look because I am always so curious about their story. People are so interesting and I just try to find a way to tell their story.

            • quincyil says:

I am an observer too. That’s why I watch the real housewives series. I loved psychology in college.

In the 70s the remnants of the college coffee houses with poets from the 60’s era were still in Chicago and Urbana. I’d go with friends, but the poetry was rambling. I like putting the words together in such a precise way that an idea bursts off the page with a single sentence. In high school, I loved Hemingway.

Literature is our history. My husband purchased courses from the Learning School: European literature, Russian literature, American literature, and German literature. I listened to the tapes and bought the books. Tears flowed down my face when I read “Beloved” by Toni Morrison. You are so lucky to have the skills and the gifts that you have. I am so glad that you came here to share with us.

      Does Phaedra’s son have cousins?

I only ask because Phaedra said hers was the first kid because she was the only one married. I assumed this to mean she had no nieces or nephews, but hubby thinks she meant that the family doesn’t recognize the other kids because they were born out of wedlock.

    Here’s my favorite joke:

Jennifer’s wedding day was fast approaching. Nothing could dampen
her excitement — not even her parent’s nasty divorce. Her mother
had found the PERFECT dress to wear and would be the best-dressed
    mother-of-the-bride ever!

A week later, Jennifer was horrified to learn that her father’s new
young wife had bought the exact same dress
as her mother! Jennifer asked her father’s new young wife to
exchange it, but she refused. ‘Absolutely not, I
look like a million bucks in this dress, and I’m wearing it,’ she

Jennifer told her mother who graciously said, ‘Never mind
sweetheart. I’ll get another dress. After all, it’s
    your special day.’

A few days later, they went shopping and did find another gorgeous
dress. When they stopped for lunch, Jennifer
asked her mother, ‘Aren’t you going to return the other dress? You
really don’t have another occasion where you
could wear it. Her mother just smiled and replied, ‘Of course I do,
dear. I’m wearing it to the rehearsal dinner
    the night before the wedding.’

Excerpt from my blog about the first time My dad saw me, It’s not only Mommy’s people! LOL!
when she was presented to her father by a proud nurse he asked “What is wrong with her, is she going to live?” Apparently no one had ever explained to this bastion of manhood that the birth canal can do strange things to the shape of a new born’s head, and most babies are a dark purple pink hue when born. Also, the babe was bawling her head off (and I have been loud ever since!) and thus the new father was certain she was in pain. The Princess,(my mother) heavily medicated as was done in those days before “natural” childbirth, laughed so hard she caused the doctor to slip up and required extra stitching in an area needles are never welcome.

Great recap, Lynn, once again. I liked that comment about the 8lb preemie. That was priceless. As for Sheree, men might want to f**k her, but she has shown herself to be a golddigger and a prudent man won’t go near her. Kim had to go younger and find a naive one to insure her future money stream. And what’s with Dr. Tyie’s hairdo? What is that crap in the middle of his head? Someone on another blog called it a landing strip!! If he just got a decent haircut and stopped pretending, he might look less shady. I like that the girlfriends all called him out on his lies. Looks like he will have to get a day job like the rest of us.

        • HD says:

Hmmmmmmmmmm…thinking…thinking…can’t think of anything so far. I did read an article online today that says she is totally in love with her baby and it has changed her or something like that.

    • Rabble Rouser says:

I’ve had two labor that were over 24 hours- the last resulting in a c-section, even with the drugs and the dementia I would have never called one of my babies gross.

But when I had my first daughter and my sister, my brother, dad and BIL came soon after delivery (we were still in the delivery room) my sister saw my daughter (who was a beautiful newborn- pediatricians thought she was a c-section baby because her head still looked perfect) took one look at my daughter and went off about how they should have given her a bath (she was still covered in vernix) and how gross it looked.
I think I got off lucky because she said after when her and her hubby were in the hall there was a man holding his new born- and she told me how ‘ugly’ it looked. She said it (he/she) looked like E.T. with a football shaped head and eyes that were popping out.

I can see how someone could say that about someone elses baby- or admit that about there own well after the fact. I just don’t get saying it at the time.

Great blog Lynn, thanks like always. Thanks to everyone as well for their comments, what would I do with my spare time (Translate: work day) with this to read.

    Long story about ugly babies.
When my brother was born my dad got an emergency leave to come see him and my mom for 24 hours. When he got to the hospital he went right to the nursery. When he saw my brother he said he was thinking my god this is the ugliest baby I have ever seen. Of course he never said anything to anyone. He had to report back to base and then returned 2 days later. When he went back to the hospital he went right to the nursery again. My brother was so much better looking this time he was so relieved. When he went into see my mom he confessed how he felt after the first visit. He was going on and one…”I kept thinking there is no way you and I made such a bad looking child”. My mom sat there silently listening to him go on and on. When the nurses brought my brother back in my mom still never said a word. My dad looked down in the bassinet and at then my mom… he said “Damn same ugly baby”. Apparently they had just moved his bassinet in the nursery. The family use to tell this story when I was growing up and both my mom and dad would swear this was true.

It is holiday time and the Christmas music is now playing. I find myself both very happy and very sad at the same time.

      • klmh says:

Haha. My daughter was the most beautiful baby in the nursery. My son however was homely as hell. But that made me fall in love with him more (a face only a mother could love!).

Christmas is always very hard for me. For some reason all the memories of Xmas past haunt me from the day after Thanksgiving until after the first of the year. Then there’s the guilt for not giving the kids the Xmas’ they deserved while growing up because I was so depressed. UGH. • justanothermary says:

I have three beautiful grown sons. They were justanothervirgil’s kids from a previous marriage but we got custody and later I adopted them. The boys were 5, 3 and 1 when I met them. The middle boy was beautiful but the oldest was kinda funny looking and the baby was the ugliest baby I’ve ever seen. He was almost laughable. He has grown to be very handsom, but mannnnn – what an ugly baby. I was talking to the hub’s mother one day and asked her about it. Even the child’s grandmother said “he’s was kinda hard to look at.”

  37. TEB says:

When my first daughter was born, she had a stork bite (birthmark) on the center of her forehead. I knew it was there and that people would notice. When people pointed it out and asked ‘what happened?’ (so rude, right?!)- I would tell him it was her Harry Potter birthmark and when she was old enough she was headed to Hogwarts (i said this with a straight face). It shut them up pretty quick.
It faded over her first 9 months just like the doctor said it would….

Kelsey Grammer’s daughter competed in the Miss California Teen USA pageant this weekend — but she didn’t drop her famous papa’s name to get ahead in the voting!

TooFab was there as 18-year-old Greer Grammer strutted her stuff at this year’s competition, where she was representing Thousand Oaks, Calif.

Though she said she’d love to pursue acting in her private one-on-one with the judges, we’re told Greer never once mentioned that the “Frasier” star was her father — and nailed the interview without dropping his name.

Grammer placed in the Top 10 out of 96 contestants, but when it came time to announce the Top 5, she didn’t make the cut.

At 18, this was Greer’s last chance to take the Miss California Teen title — but can compete for Miss California next year.

    Hi all!

Just watching rerun of RHOA, and notice the difference between Kim and daughter Ariana vs. Teresa and daughter Gia.

With Teresa it was all “Do you love it? Do you love it?” Gia: “……” “I LIKE it.”

Kim Z redoes Ariana’s room (was this partly a First Communion present, it looks like they just came from that?), and the interaction between mom/daughter is actually very sweet and kind of touching. A seems genuinely grateful to the point of starting to tear up, she tells her mom she LOVES it, and thank you and gives her a real hug.

I know Kim is inappropriate, crass, etc. in front of her girls, but (as with Nene), her ridiculousness has won me over. I literally can’t help but like most of the housewives of ATL.

PHAEDRA So the truth finally came out, she was 40 weeks confirmed by the doctor and the blind man said “No Sh*t Sherlock!” lol Her mother’s face was priceless, because she knew Phaedra was full term but the charade was up. After all the secrecy and traveling to a different part of Georgia to “hide” certain facts, the doctor tells Kandi and millions of viewers the obvious. They could’ve stayed in Atlanta if they’d know the doctor was such a big mouth. LOL

SHEREE I’m sure she was encouraged to date as her storyline was boring and many mentioned she must be gay or asexual as she wasn’t actively dating. Choosing fakedoc with the moonroof hairdo was a hurried mistake. Someone obviously didn’t like her very much when they set up that blind date. She let her guard down and unfortunately it was a charlatan who was behind curtain #1. She’s not that great an actress and she looked genuinely hurt, betrayed and humiliated. Because of her golddigger reputation i’m sure many enjoyed her being fooled. She’s since mentioned fakedoc wanted her to drive him around because he didn’t rent a car and that his friend was present during the home cooked meal. I guess you get what you pay for.

TLD Absolutely agree. She is horrible. She’s got hairdressers and makeup artists and her daughter’s hair looks like that?! On her graduation day!!! While she is coiffed and styled her children are dressed little better than urchins. Shame shame shame!

According to TheYBF.com, the former “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star is developing a show that’s all about her…mostly. The as-yet untitled project will follow DeShawn as she loses weight, leads her non-profit organization and runs her own production company.

The series will be a family affair as the show will also feature DeShawn’s sisters and her mom.

While no network has announced that it’s picked up the series, there’s word that Bravo might be interested in airing DeShawn’s show some time next year.

This would make DeShawn the second “Real Housewives” alum to get a spin-off. Bethenny Frankel, of “The Real Housewives of New York,” starred in her own series titled “Bethenny Getting Married?” earlier this year.

  61. TLM says:

Just saw Bethenny skate. It did seem tentative yet she did more spins than anyone. Her hair & makeup looked good in the performance, which is why I couldn’t understand why earlier in the show she looked like she was made up by a drag queen — eyebrows drawn abnomally high, with blotchy blue eyeshadow and sparkles and artificially waved hair. All of a sudden her hair was smooth and eye makeup looked normal. Weird.

  62. emily says:

Johnny Weir is friends with Jill right? that 4 he gave Bethenny was really awful.

I’m gonna vote for her now!! http://www.abc.com

    • housewifeaddict says:

Yes – I think they are friends – she has some information about him on her blog -and then I found this:

“Stars, Stripes and Skates (a benefit to raise money for The Heritage Foundation of 9/11) held its eighth annual ice show in Danbury, Connecticut on September 26. Jill Zarin of The Real Housewives of New York City, a reality series broadcast on the Bravo network, was a special guest and introduced Johnny Weir. (photo above, Jill with emcee for the evening Frank DeCaro, host of Sirius OutQ satellite radio)

First, let me say this — she can skate! I know, I know, what does that mean? That means the lady knows some technique — she knows about edges, the proper entry into a spin, proper arm positions, and sort-of proper body alignment. I really was impressed. Second, she was warming up during the day with the performers in the show, who were doing the run-throughs of their programs. I don’t know if that was the best time for her to make sure that she still had her moves. With skaters like Johnny Weir, Miki Ando, Nobunari Oda and Derrick Delmore going 100 mph doing their triples, I don’t know how distracting Jill’s presence was. Unfortunately, I think Miki’s coach, Nikolai Morozov, decided that it was very distracting, she was cutting off too much of the ice, and that she must leave the ice asap. The rink already was smaller than normal due to the much-discussed (at least on the skating discussion boards) matting placed on the ice to allow more VIP seating. There was a bit of a verbal altercation (reportedly Nikolai screamed “Who is she!?!”) and Jill’s skating career was cut short.”

    • TLM says:

I’m not sure Jill was ever friends with Weir — they were at the same event, but they appeared to have no interaction if the RH film was any indication. It seemed like Jill was just name-dropping.

      • housewifeaddict says:

This was his quote from the article I linked to above:

“With NYC neighbor Bethenny Frankel already tweeting about her practice sessions, we wanted to know if he’s a fan. “I don’t watch the (Real) Housewives of New York,” he (Johnny Weir) confessed. But, “I’m a good friend of Jill Zarin. I always say that when someone asks me about Bethenny, but no, I’m open to all. I don’t show favorites in any way.””

        • TLM says:

Interesting. Johnny was very charitable to all contestants… I really thought he would be more critical. Who knew Dick Button would be such a hardass?!??

  63. KTinCT says:

Ok, so I responded to a few posts earlier and got a few comments back which felt great. I am a long time lurker and have yet to comment (just replies). Love this blog and would comment more but I know that I cannot match wits! All you who post say exactly what I would want to say and do an amazing job at it! I am going to try and join your ranks because I love all that is discussed here! It might be a little while before I get the guts to post again so everyone please have a happy and healthy Thanksgiving holiday 🙂

  64. Noelle says:

Who watched skating with the stars?

    • JazzNightOut says:

I did. Just voted 5x for Bethenny. Surprised at judges’ voting 😦

      • Zipit Zarin says:

I did and voted 5 times for Bethenny too. Only watched Bethenny and Sean. I really can’t stand these shows lol. It’s like The View…only watch when someone I like is on.

      • Deana says:

I like Bethany but I have been a Rebecca Buding fan much longer so I was glad she did so well. I did think the judges were harsh on Bethany score wise although I thought she was second only to Rebecca {ducking for flying popcorn AND inserting a sheepish shrug :)}.

        • Deana says:

Let me add her spins were great but her dancing was a little awkward but if she makes it and works on her rhythm and relaxes she could get great.

        • lillybee says:

I have to agree, Rebecca was great. Her arabesque was very good and very hard to do. And she did remember to point her feet.
I missed it, but how did Johnny Mosley do?

    • Dani says:

I am watching, and Bethenny is up next. I hope that she does well, however, I am concerned after reading some of the posts here. I will vote for her just for getting out there and skating. I can’t believe with all that she has going on in her life that she took this on as well. I will be cheering her on tonight and I hope that Mr. Weir’s relationship with JZ does not reflect in his score for her.

  65. TLM says:

I confess I don’t understand the point of DWTS or SWTS – are they doing this to win money for charities? Otherwise, why do stars need to win? Do they get paid for this? It’s like the stars’ version of American Idol, I guess?

It looks like Bethenny and Ethan got slammed…they were 2nd to last in the scoring. I did think their music was exceptionally bad and put them at a disadvantage to the other contestants. If it was the original “right round” song it might have been ok, but this version was lame-0-rama. Did anyone else agree?

    • housewifeaddict says:

I guess they are all trying to stay on TV a little bit longer and get some exposure. I don’t think there is a donation to charity attached with DWTS – I can’t think of them ever talking about it – but I haven’t watched in a while.

    • cc in Miami says:

I think the judges slammed them because Bethenny was a little stiff and the choreography was a little choppy. Although they did some impressive tricks, this might have irritated the judges who would have preferred to see smooth technique. I also think Bethenny got slammed because she has great potential, but didn’t live up to it in tonight’s performance.

In any case, the show is a little tough to watch, but I will watch B.

      • TLM says:

Agreed on the stiffness. If I voted it would have to be for Jonny Mosely and Rebecca Buding & their partners. I was surprised Vince Neil was as smooth as he was. I did have higher hopes for B since she rollerblades, surfs & is advanced at yoga. Hopefully she will get more comfortable.

  66. LynnNChicago says:

Judges really screwed Bethenny on SWTS She needs your votes!

  67. dsc60 says:

in DWTS they get paid $20,000 per episode. and if they win, they get the coveted mirror ball trophy! it also seems that show can re-ignite some of the stars careers. most are b-list celebs at best.

  68. Zipit Zarin says:

    Where do you vote online?

  69. Dani says:

I just voted for Bethenny 5 X, I feel badly for her. I thought she looked great and did a great job skating. I also thought the judges were a little harsh. She looked beautiful and the spins were fantastic.

  70. Adgirl says:

Giggy The Pom (Lisa’s little dog) has a blog on Bravo:

Well helloooooo, I am finally after all these weeks being allowed to woof my own opinion!

I know for mistress to take a trip without me it has to be something she really wants to do…because to dump my little doggy arse, in Beverly Hills, while she was jetting of to New York is something that does not sit well with me.

Now remember I have sweet pillow talk with mistress every night, and I really do have the inside dog track. Mistress was upset with these ladies.

Now, as I take all of you into my confidence, I have to be doggone sure that mistress will stay unaware of my little doggy blog.

What a muddle you humans create when you probably could have just sorted it out with a good old growl and a snap at the heels. But, oh no, the blonde with massive knockers would not let it go…like a dog with a bone she held on really tight, and the other one, the Demi look-alike, oh she just got in deeper and deeper. Mistress was angry that the tall skinny one, blowfish I think she calls herself (she said that on my dearest Andy’s show), had created this little fiasco. And the Witch Mountain sister, where was she? They come from the same litter right? She should’ve jumped right in there and put that little pooch straight.

I remember mistress calling Ken (he’s the guy that lives with us. . .he shares our bed. . .husband, I think that’s what his title is). She called him and barked down the phone that she missed us and regretted going, oh dear. Love mistress, but she didn’t have to get herself into this CAT fight when she could’ve stayed at home worshipping the ground I never walk on. Oh well, cheerio as mistress would say. . .till next time, woofy.

Love from your favorite little Gigolo.

Is that dog even alive? It looks like a taxidermy creature!

    • TLM says:

I can’t get into a blog in the voice of a dog. Reminds me of people who write thank-you notes for baby gifts in the voice of the baby. Grates on me!

    • error404 says:

He’s absolutely wrong. My dog had an ongoing feud with her “cousin” that lasted years until her “cousin” got dognapped. It rivaled Teresa and Melissa’s feud.

Her Bad: my dog, for whatever reason, likes “chill” dogs. Old dogs are her fav, and she hates puppies with all their nervous energy and poor motor skills. If you get up in her face, she will go all Nene on you like you’re Dwight. Who’s gonna check her, boo?

His Bad: her “cousin” was an idiot. He’d jump in her face, she’d growl and snap, and like 5 seconds later he’d jump in her face again like he had no memory at all. It was like a bad comedy routine. Camille kinda reminds me of him.

    • emily says:

It took me a lot of trying. couldn’t do it through facebook or twitter so i had to sign up to abc.com and log in. it seemed really screwy to me so i tried voting for some other skaters, thinking it was a big conspiracy and bethenny was the only one the votes weren’t going through for. Nope just a crappy voting system.
I did get in 10 votes by phone-land and cell.
I’ll be more prepared next week, make sure to be with friends during the voting hour so I can use their phones too.

      • JazzNightOut says:

Thanks, Emily. I voted 5x on all my phone lines, but didn’t get thru online. I need patience, lol, and I knew that before last night!
I will be more mellow next week and start voting online right away. I was just so surprised at the judges’ voting and felt I needed to help Bethenny all I could. She wasn’t the best, but she was better than the scores indicated.

  74. Adgirl says:

I couldn’t vote either. Let’s try again tomorrow.

In case anyone is thinking about RHBH I should mention that Camille’s book The Art of War was written by Machiavelli as in Machiavellian (not Machiavelli-ICK).

    • quincyil says:

I knew about that book, but I believe the only reason that she would discuss her reading list is to show us that she is educated.

      • Adgirl says:

I’m sure Camille wants us to believe she is educated or smart (there are tons of smart people who have never been to college). However, she gives herself away when she doesn’t apply “street smarts” which is another way of saying applying critical thinking to her issue with Kyle. The simple question of “why would Kyle say … xyz” would display intellect.

Camille wants the world to buy into her hypothesis that Kyle would blurt out to a Camille, a co-worker she doesn’t know well, an inflammatory statement “…who wants to know you without Kelsey…” is just, well, stupid thinking on Camille’s part.

        It’s Machiavelli-ICK.

        • quincyil says:

I love literature, but “The Art of War” 1520 seems an odd choice. Is this a trend in the fancy folk/trendy society? The “Girl with a Tatoo” was mentioned to Kelly Bensimon, and I had not heard of it either.

          • quincyil says:

I can not understand why Camille Grammer is reading “The Art of War.”

It’s a Socratic discourse based on the understanding of a sixteenth century (1520) Italian prince. He discusses fire arms and compares the military to a roof over a palace.

I have half a mind to order the book from Amazon just to see why she would want to make sure the we knew she was reading it.

There is another book by the same title by a Chinese author Sun Tzu.

This book was written in the 6th century, but modern analysts have applied his theories to business and management practices.

Is it possible that the book she is reading is the one by Sun Tzu. She is interested in business and management.

If you look at Amazon the cover of the Tzu book has a Chinese symbol and an abridged book had a dark cover. The book on Camille’s table was whit with blue letters.

If someone is going to a good sized bookstore and has an extra few minutes, I’d like to know more about that book on her table.

            • Kansas Girl says:

I was curious about that too, particularly when the camera zoomed in on the cover. I wondered if Bravo was trying to show us something — a special edition? (Simplified? LOL) There was another name under the title, which made me think it was different somehow.

              • MickeyMouth says:

                It’s the “for dummies” edition.

              • Zipit Zarin says:

I think she’s pretending to read it because she’s saying “THIS IS WAR!” and yeah it’s the one by Sun Tsu. It’s the definitive book on, well, the art of war.

                • HD says:

I agree with ZipItZarin. There was no way she was really reading that book. I think she wanted to APPEAR really smart and strategic or something.

                  • American Idiot says:

And someone put little sticky notes sticking out of the top, like a college student who was reading it for a class would. Maybe she stole it from someone on the crew.

            • American Idiot says:

Q – Real City Houswife has a new blog up with a great shot of Camille holding the book in front of her. It is yellow and red. RCH say it is the Sun Tzu version. Hope this helps.

        • AZ Girl says:

I have a feeling that the producers had to put that book “right side up” before filming. HA!!
It’s like um…..Camille…the book. What? what’s wrong?? Camille the book is upside down. Oh! I looking for the pictures.

        • error404 says:

It seems obvious to me, and I’m sure Camille too, after the NY trip that her marriage was officially over. I think she was reading “the art of war” in preparation for her divorce, where like most wronged women, she was determined to take him to the cleaners.

          • error404 says:

I Still think the Kyle fight was a fire in the lobby started to distract people from the marriage problems.

Seriously, in the real word, if a real friend had come over, the talk in that kitchen would have been all “Oh Nick! I think Kelsey’s found someone else! I swear she was there too! You should have seen how cold and distant he was to me, and really, he practically pushed me out of the dressing room like I was a crazed fan! Dede’s found a private detective to follow him, so I guess we’ll earn the truth soon enough. Oh God, what am I going to do!”

            • TLM says:

It all makes sense now. Nick and Kelsey are having an affair. Nick was hiding in the dressing room closet! LOL.

            • MichellefromNY says:

I think that she is one of those people who try to project themselves as being superior to others in any way possible. Be it intellectually or monetarily. She uses complex vocabulary fairly often to show off her “intellect” yet her grasp on the true meaning of those words is extremely limited, thus making her use of those complex words awkward. It also highlights her true ignorance of the english language because she’s just showing off how many words she knows without using them entirely correctly. A truly smart person would not over-use complex words because they would understand that the words you use must actually make sense in the sentence and most complex words don’t actually apply to everyday conversation.

The same thing with the book. She probably read it but I highly doubt she truly understood it. It’s like those girls in high school who read only literature because they thought it made them look superior by showing off how smart and cultured they are.

Honestly, I think she is trying to make herself out to be the “geeky smart one” to hide up her extreme sluttiness 🙂

              • girlygirlnyc says:

I completely agree. Kelsey seems to be quite intelligent (excluding life choices) and I bet she hears him use these big words and tries to use them too.

Crazed fans often mimic behavior of their idols.

PSP is a rotten disease, it’s taken so much from her. It was very hard to listen to the doctor because my mother knows what is going on and she cried. Prayers for her would be very much appreciated.

I missed Bethanny skating last night. I can see DWTS because at least I am on a hard floor but if you tell me to do that stuff on ice in ice skates, I would politely say no. I would certainly end up on the floor so I applaud her efforts to even try to do it.

Bethanny always seemed like a carefree dancer on Real Housewives but on ice I guess that is different. I am going to try to find it online so I can give an honest opinion.

From the consensus here what do ya’ll think? Good job, not so good, okay….

    • error404 says:

She looked stiff. She did a lot of difficult stuff, and it seemed at first view like she had the hardest routine of all the celebs, but she needs to relax so it doesn’t look forced.

That said, I was shocked by the low scores. I thought she got hosed. I can’t really comment on the couple that finished first, as they were so dull my mind wandered during their routine. But I really don’t see how she was worse than Sean Young, who also looked stiff and unrelaxed. Oh well.

Hubby thinks they kept her scores low because they think she has a rabid fan base that will blow up the phone lines with votes, so they were trying to level it out with a sort of bell curve. I guess we’ll see.

      • TLM says:

I do think the judges really sucked up to Sean Young and I’m not sure why. She was ok, but just ok. Yes she’s older, but it should be an even playing field. I feel there was too much emphasis on her film career and not enough on her skating. That rountine was like the skating equivalent of Sheree’s dance.

        • error404 says:

my fav was when Dick said “and I loved you in….. that movie” LOL

well, at 80 with a head injury, I’ll give him a pass for forgetting his lines, but I seemed so staged.

In my opinion Bethenny did a good job. She was a little stiff, but I would be too if I had to do the “death spiral”. She certainly should feel good about the job she did. She is second from last going into next week. I think she should be in third place. She was much better than Sean and the Motley Crew singer (Oh God, I’m so old I don’t even know his name)(and of courser, Jill, who fell on her a$$ at her skating party, after being so bragadocious). She should be proud of herself.

      • Had Enough! says:

I did think she was stiff but no better or worse than anyone else. I think she should have a SGM before she hits the ice next time. I have to say I love her honesty, “OK so we sucked and we have to do better next week.” So much better than the mind-numbing blah-blah platitudes that usually come out of the mouths of these contestants. Bethenny – relax and go for it. Let your fantastic shine through!

      • Had Enough! says:

Honey, I am old too, and I didn’t know who he was, but Motley Crue has been around since 1981. Dude is almost as old as me…

    • WindyCityWondering says:

IMO – Bethenny and Ethan did the most together skating/spins, etc. Their dancing was choppy but the energy was there and you could see that B was really trying as opposed to being lead around the ice. As for low scores – they will improve because she is taking it all in and she is in it to win it.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Camille is both insecure and jealous – a very dangerous combination! What she doesn’t realize is just how irrelevant she truly is! Hopefully, she will take some of the money she earned from being Kelsey’s wife and get her body and face fixed. Then she can start her new career as a broke down California cougar.

  85. American Idiot says:

I was able to vote for Bethenny 5x’s this am online, but can’t get through on the phone lines. I’ll keep trying. You can vote up until 3PM today.

    • American Idiot says:

Went back to Skating with the Stars websit. You can vote online up until 3pm today. Phone voting ends one hour after the shows airs.

  86. 2Stupid says:

Did anyone think that maybe Johnny Weir doesn’t like Bethenny because of what she said about Rachel Zoe last year too? Maybe this is a case where Bethenny’s snarky comments have caught up with her. I do think that Johnny saying he is good friend with JZ is telling a little bit. However, I honestly think he doesn’t really KNOW JZ and has little or no details about what happened between Bethenny and JZ (and probably could care less). He probably has met JZ a couple of times and decide he like her. Heck, we all were a little fooled that first season!

    • error404 says:

Well, Johnny is also “friends” with Kathy Griffin too, and she has snarked on way more celebs than B ever got a chance to. Also, the marks from all 3 judges were low. IIRC, JW and DB gave her the same scores.

Skating is funny because they really do dwell on the fake aspect of it. Basically you’re suppose to be running a marathon in a gown and full make-up, but never sweat or slow down or get out of breath. Letting the audience see that you are indeed working your arse off is cardinal sin #1. Running a marathon is suppose to look like a leasurely stroll in the park you may abandon at any moment should you get bored with it.

Somehow, they seemed highly offended that she looked like a housewife trying to skate for the first time.

My Dad died 5 years ago on this day. I went this morning and placed a grave blanket where he rests.

I laughed the entire time as my pops was screaming in my ear @what a total waste of money! That was so him.
Thinking of you and best wishes for your Mom. xo

I haven’t posted anything on Lynn’s blog for a long time, but I’ve been lurking whenever I have a chance. Sometimes I think I need a recap of all the great comments in order to keep up!

On the issue of “Dr. Tiy-e”, I can no longer lurk and I must speak. A commenter above referenced another blog in regards to his “credentials”. I completely agree with that poster that there is no way he finished the degrees he claims to have in the length of time he states he attended school. Notice that he states in his “credentials” that he attended Southern Illinois University’s counseling psychology program from 1994-1995 and that he was a “candidate only”. That is completely false! You cannot be a “PhD candidate” until you have finished all of your coursework and finish your dissertation proposal defense. I looked into SIU’s program and it is a minimum of 4 years for just the course work! Even if he came in with a master’s degree (which I highly doubt he got in 1 year as he claims), he’d still have at least 2 more years of just coursework before he’d be a PhD “candidate”. This fool must have had some of the same math teachers as Phaedra did in elementary school because neither of them can add worth a shit!

Also under the “credentials” section on his website, he lists his “certifications”. I looked into these certifications and let me assure you that pretty much anyone who has finished their BA or BS can go and get the same “certifications”. They mean nothing! He has absolutely no credible “credentials”! In the real world where real educated professionals practice real mental health or relational treatment, you have to be licensed in some capacity. Without a license, you cannot bill for your services and therefore you can’t be paid. I don’t know about you guys, but I like to be paid for my work. These sad “certifications” he lists mean nothing in terms of being able to bill for your services. He might as well just start making up new certifications to make himself feel better. No license, no business.

I would love to see the entire segment of the RHs grilling “Dr. Tiy-e” and his pitiful explanation of his credentials. I know it was heavily edited, but from the bits we were shown it is clear to me that this man is not only reckless in his lies but he just might face some legal trouble over what he has said on camera.

If you claim to be things you are not, the actual licensure board of your said profession can take legal action against you that starts with a nice little cease and desist letter. You cannot claim to be a “psychologist” if you do not have at least a master’s degree in psychology (which he obviously doesn’t have because you cannot physically finish such a degree in one year’s time as he claims to have done). You cannot claim to be a “marriage and family therapist” as he did on camera unless you specifically have a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (which he does not). I wouldn’t be surprised if he got a letter from the Georgia Marriage & Family Therapist licensure board very soon!

Notice that he does not list any clinical experience. He hasn’t practiced any where because he does not have the actual credentials to! He lists “related professional experience”- but those are also complete lies. He lists he was an “associate professor” from 1997-1999 at one university and from 1999-2004 at another university. There is no way that is true! He didn’t finish his fake PhD until 1999, so he couldn’t be in any tenure-track position before 1999. Furthermore, an “associate professor” is the rank before you are a full professor. No one, and I mean no one, goes from getting their fake PhD straight to “associate professor”. You have to be tenured and there are other ranks he must be promoted from to become an “associate professor”, none of which can take place in a 2 year time span! He is completely lying about his position with both universities and there is no way either of those could true given the time span of employment he lists. If either of those universities hired him and did not insist on signed and sealed copies of his college transcripts to verify his educational claims before his first day at work, they must be the worst universities on the face of the planet! I obtained my graduate degree from the same university that later employed me and I still had to hand deliver signed and sealed copies of my transcript before I could start my job!

Sorry for my long post! I realized no one may be interested in what I’ve said, but I had to get that out of my system. We all already know he is a pathological liar and no detailed proof is really needed, but I figured some of you might be interested in the specifics of what makes him a liar.

Hi Mimi – This is a well written, well researched post, so congrats to you for all the hard work. Would you consider moving it over to the new blog as well? More people might see it there. I am sure you will get many responses if you do.

(I would do it for you, but I don’t know how)
