I Hate Jill Zarin Watch What Happens Live and Other Housewives News

Watch What Happens Live Air Date December 9, 2010
Andy Cohen welcomed another one of his housewives, Taylor Armstrong of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills along with Celebrity Chef Rocco DiSpirito. With the big glass coffee table missing in action, the trio were fun and easy with no drama and only a very few awkward silences. They were even better during the after show, which is typically true of all of WWHL episodes.

Andy’s blog after last night’s show along with the aftershow with Taylor and Rocco:

Taylor was immediately put on the spot and was asked about her scenes in the episode about her living in an abusive home and her charity work. Taylor was a bit emotional admitting that it was difficult and hurtful but she felt it could be helpful to put her story out there and show that people can survive and even blossom after a tragic childhood. Using Bethenny’s line, Taylor said that this was what they signed up for and they agreed to open their lives up to viewers and Taylor was determined to do just that.

Andy quickly lightened the mood by diving into the alcohol and the viewers’ questions.

Andy announced on tonight’s show that next week will be a full week for him, I hope Bravo is giving him a nice “Holiday” bonus because he’s doing five nights straight. Beginning on Sunday after The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Andy will be joined by NeNe Leakes and her biggest fan, Anderson Cooper. The son of Gloria Vanderbilt, Anderson’s career has really skyrocketed from his days of hosting The Mole, which was when I initially fell in love with him. He now hosts his own news magazine, “Anderson Cooper 360” on CNN and hosts the New Year’s Eve countdown each year as well.

Cooper is also a Bestselling author having penned Dispatches from the Edge his personal memoir detailing his life and work in Sri Lanka, Africa, Iraq and Louisiana. This man doesn’t just report the news, he makes a difference by letting the world know where and when help is needed then he gets involved.

For some odd reason, Cooper has a surprising attraction to the housewives programs and more specifically is a big fan of NeNe Leakes. I guess it is more surprising that this busy professional actually has time to watch Bravo’s Housewives. At 43 years old, Cooper has never been married but has expressed a desire to have a family and children. NeNe is in the process of a divorce after all…

Back to Watch What Happens Live, Andy’s three things he was obsessed with this week was first, Taylor’s cotton candy scene that actually happened three weeks ago that we know Andy only brought up so that he could torture Taylor with the slow motion footage. Taylor’s response, “maybe we should renegotiate my contract”. Andy’s comeback, “what does your contract have to do with anything?” Oh Snap Cohen!

The second Andy obsession was Kyle getting a bikini wax on this week’s episode, I don’t think the shock was so much her getting the wax but that she had an audience. I found it funny that people seemed outraged that her daughter was in the room, but nothing about the cameras??? I think that since the cameras were in the room, her daughter would have seen the waxing anyway, right?

And finally Andy’s third obsession of the evening, a preview of the dinner from hell in Beverly Hills next week showing all of the ladies ripping each other’s heads off and Taylor finally stands and yells, “Enough! ENOUGH!!” This was obviously just Andy’s way of showing a preview for next week’s show.

Taylor had a few moments of that annoying, “stay tuned” when questioned about whether or not Snowball the puppy was still part of her family and she was asked about her relationship with Kim Richards, another “stay tuned” response. I’ll allow them two per show but after that it’s time to answer the damn questions. They can’t get into trouble for giving story lines away if its Cohen asking the questions.

After his obsessions, Andy inquired as to what is the material that has been inserted into Taylor’s lips? Her lips have been a heated topic of conversation all over the internet, she readily admitted that they’re not natural (while we know nothing on her face is natural) but Andy seemed to think that it may be a piece of plastic that would make her lips hard and uncomfortable. Taylor decided to answer Andy’s question by kissing him, I guess she didn’t get the memo that Andy’s gay. He was either being really kind and diplomatic or he really did enjoy the kiss, he even asked for another.

I was waiting for the next morning tabloids to report that Andy and Taylor where in the back of some dark seedy bar in New York making out until 2am, with Andy begging to see Taylor’s breasts, but unfortunately no one caught them. Sometimes I wonder if Andy is a closet straight guy.

Rocco DiSpirito looks good but in my opinion could just sit there and look pretty without saying a word and it would have been the same show. He didn’t add much to the conversation and Andy didn’t even let him play the game Taboo, he was the buzzer holder just in case Taylor said a Taboo word.

I wonder sometimes if Rocco chose not to play in case he was outted as not watching Bravo’s shows since the majority of the questions related to Bravo programs.

And so we will probably overdose on Andy Cohen next week, with Watch What Happens Live episodes five nights in a row, his endless lists and nightly poll questions, his Mazel of the day and slamming back cocktails. His guests were announced so quickly, there was no catching them all but I was able to note that Thursday night will feature Kyle Richards of The Beverly Hills Housewives and Denise Richards who is no relation to the Richards sisters. I searched Bravo’s site for the WWHL guest list for next week but wasn’t able to find one.

Bravo is reporting that Sonja Morgan is launching a clothing line, not a lot of details are provided but here is the article on Bravotv.com:

In another Bravo article, NeNe Leakes reveals that she’s “Done” with Kim Zolciak (again):

Kim and NeNe are just like Lucy and Ricky or Fred and Ethel or Roadrunner and Wiley Coyote. These two are friends, then they’re not friends. It is the strangest dynamic on the Housewives because it truly seems that these ladies are friends to each other’s face but then they interview and they only see that portion at the same time as we do (or a day or two early). But basically they think all is fine until they hear the snarky backbiting that takes place after the cameras are shut down and those brutal talking head interviews take place.

We read on the blogs that they called each other after the show aired and apologized, cleared the air and all is forgiven. Sometimes they go too far however, it truly seemed as though Kim was blindsided by Kandi when it came to all the talk of the royalties for “Tardy For The Party”. It seems as though it was never brought up in person but Kim learned that Kandi was upset about the money when the show aired and Kandi told the audience rather than telling Kim.

NeNe and Kim seem to be completely fine on screen but when you hear those talking head interviews NeNe really lets Kim have it, not that Kim doesn’t deserve exactly what was thrown at her, but the fact remains that to her face during filming, everyone seemed fine and friendly with Kim. At some point possibly they all learned what we all knew, Kim is just not a nice person!

It happened as well with Sheree and NeNe, they were all good together on screen. NeNe attended Sheree’s Dancing With Atlanta Stars fundraiser yet in those interviews she laughed and joked at Sheree’s expense.

It’s not only NeNe and Kandi, it’s not even only Atlanta, the blogs tell the story of many late night phone calls and hurried apologies once those talking head interviews are edited into the shows. It appears as though all of the friendships between the Atlanta ladies have been dissolved. It is interesting however, as they each appear on Watch What Happens Live, they rarely have a bad word to say about one another, maybe that pact from Season Two’s Reunion show is still in full force and affect. The good news is that I think they will all agree with the majority of fans, Kim Zolciak cannot sing!!!

Bethenny Frankel, on the cover of Redbook Magazine and announcing new dates every day for her tour that she will begin after her Skating With The Stars gig is over. The dates, locations and ticket information are posted on her web site along with recipes, videos and fun stories. Bethenny has one of the better Housewives web sites.

  1. Blue Sky says:

Hi Lynn, just started reading your blog. Umm, I think Anderson Cooper is gay…so that kind of explains his fascination with Nene & the ho’wives. I adore Anderson Cooper, watch him most nights, & also enjoy watching him on New Year’s Eve, with another fave of mine, Kathy Griffen. (ducking!) Griffen has become a little annoying lately, because of her success I would guess. She is no longer on the “D-List” but is bff with Cher & other celebs. I just lover her biting humor, & when she & Anderson Cooper are together it is just devine, imo!

    • Blue Sky says:

Loved your blog yet again Lynn, & the podcast with Tabatha was very informative, you did a great job interviewing her. Can’t wait for the Sonja Morgan podcast.

I find Andy’s flirting with women (& men!) really fun to watch. He likes having his “flings” with certain women, like Kelly Rippa, Sarah Jessica Parker etc. And he loves their husbands too, hehe! Although usually Andy does annoy me, lately his guests have made him better (taken him to a higher standard, challenged him to do better?) and I will be taping those 5 in a row WWHL. Might even drink some caffeine to stay awake for Anderson Cooper (hope I’m not disappointed, as I love love AC).

    • TLM says:

It is an open secret that Anderson Cooper is gay, and has been for a few years now. http://gawker.com/5392766/anderson-cooper-is-a-giant-homosexual-and-everyone-knows-it

      • TLM says:

I meant the secret has been open for a few years now. I’m guessing Cooper has been gay for 43 years. 😉

  2. AZ Girl says:

Good morning everyone. Off to hike Superstitions Mountains. Catch up later.

    • Blue Sky says:

Wow, you are dedicated to exercise, good girl! While you are there, maybe the ghosts in the mountains can tell you why RCH is being visited by a ghostie!

  3. Had Enough! says:

So I love AC too! and it has to be asked: Is showing up on WWHL the functional equivalent of coming out? I actually don’t get why he doesn’t just get it over with, unless his position is that one’s preference is irrelevant to what he does and no one’s business. Which I actually agree with, and can’t wait until we get to a place where no one asks because it really DOES. NOT. MATTER. Anymore than it matters if the newscaster is: female, Jewish, Hindu, black, purple, green, or polka-dotted.

Now it has to be said. THIS is brilliant: “I was waiting for the next morning tabloids to report that Andy and Taylor where in the back of some dark seedy bar in New York making out until 2am, with Andy begging to see Taylor’s breasts, but unfortunately no one caught them. Sometimes I wonder if Andy is a closet straight guy.”

    • Blue Sky says:

I don’t want Anderson Cooper to ever address his situation, because I agree, it has absolutely nothing to do with anything. Someday, if he chooses to have a family, then that’s his business too. Brian Williams never brings up his personal life (to my knowledge) when he’s on other shows, like Jon Stewart’s show. Another great show is Rachael Maddow…she kind of makes me think she is the lesbian Jon Stewart at times. She had Jon on her show, it was quite a fencing match between them. As I’m watching one show, during commercials I skip around, so usually don’t see all of Rachel Maddow. But she’s very good, imo. (ducking again..!)

I tape a few shows, then watch them later, like Jon Stewart, Wendy Williams, Saturday Night Live, some Bravo shows. Did anyone catch Saturday Night Live last week with Robert De Niro? It was good, but a little disturbing too. I’m thinking of the bar scene, with “who do I have to screw to get a drink here?” Also, not sure if P.Diddy realizes it, but they spoofed him pretty good. His 2 songs were awful, imo. I’m old, but am a fan of Eminem, Jay-Z, (hate Little Wayne with a passion!), and some others. Having a teenage son…I hear way too much rap music. You can watch a lot of the shows on hulu.com:

Stewart had Bill O’Reilly on his show, & they had a good talk! scroll down in the last link above, if you want to see it.

    • TLM says:

I think when the question has been posed to him in the past, his reason for not saying one way or the other is that he feels he would become the story, and as a newscaster he wants the focus to be on what he covers rather than his personal life.

  4. TrueLifeDiva says:

Taylor eating coton candy reminded me of footage I once saw of a snake unhinging its jaw to swallow a pig. And the snake eating the pig was sexier.
I wish Andy would get some Crest White Strips already. His teeth match his skin. Yuck!
About to eat breakfast and then head to the gym. Bummer part is the gym I go to is located in a major mall in town. Finding parking amongst all the holiday shoppers is a mess 🙂

    • Blue Sky says:

Hi TLD, good for you for getting your exercise, and good for those shoppers getting the economy going by spending $. California desperately needs the $ from state tax … as Cali is broke. Paying sky high pensions to state workers is just part of the Cali mess! Please buy “made in the USA” if you can folks…if you are ordering gifts on the internet for family, try these childrens’s toys:

      • Had Enough! says:

The actual payments to California’s retired state employees are not sky high and are not the problem. The problem – in California, Illinois, NY, and elsewhere – is that the politicians didn’t listen to the actuaries when they were told how much they would need to pay out over the years and so they didn’t put enough money away. This was compounded by the fact that they made unduly optimistic assumptions about rates of return. So it isn’t that the payments are too high. It is that the pension funds themselves are running dry because of a combination of underfunding and the poor economy. Don’t blame the workers.

And on top of that, California’s Prop 13 has really deprived the state of property taxes by prohibiting reassessment except at time of sale or new construction, and by keeping the rates extremely low.

  5. Blue Sky says:

This is OT, but very shocking news/ Bernie Madoff’s son died from an apparent suicide, found dead today. Just terrible, this entire Madoff mess. It’s been obvious that Madoff destroyed documents, then tried to pin all the blame on himself, to protect his wife & sons from prosecution. Did his son die from shame of what his father did, or was the investigation closing in on him as well? So tragic.

    • vilzvet says:

      From the NY Post:
Bernard Madoff’s oldest son Mark was found dead in the living room of his SoHo apartment this morning — hanging from a black dog leash on the two-year anniversary of his father’s stunning downfall, police sources said.
Officers were called to 158 Mercer St. around 7:30 a.m. after Mark’s father-in-law reported the grisly find — the younger Madoff, 46, hanging fully clothed from a black dog leash attached to a pipe in the apartment ceiling.
His 2-year-old son was sleeping in a nearby bedroom and was unharmed, as was Grouper, their labradoodle.

  6. MickeyMouth says:

I am so far behind in comments and blogs. Congratulations on the podcast interviews. :0)

    • Ruby Newbie says:

Me tooooo!!! I wanna read everything but time never seems to permit.

Congrats on the interviews, Lynn. Not too shabby. You’re carving out your own little niche on these here internets. LOL But really, it’s smart. The internet is the present and the future. Stake your claim, girl!

  7. plainviewsue says:

Did u read about Jill’s surprise party? Supposedly, Bobby gave her $350,000 worth of jewelry. $350,000!!!! Can a fabric store really be that successful????

I’m sure she had some complaints about it.

    • Blue Sky says:

hmm, wondering just what she did to deserve $350,000 worth of baubles. Ugh, need brain bleach stat! So tacky to know the amount spent, and very disgusting that they don’t blab about what they give to charity. If they were smart, they’d keep their mouths shut about their high end gifts, and do more for charity. Jillzilla just can’t figure out what to do to improve her image. Keeps us in business tho!

    • twoile says:

      Insurance appraisal ?

      • Blue Sky says:

Here’s a report of the bash…love the comments! 35 carats of diamonds, good grief.

        • lillybee says:

Luann sang Happy Birthday. I hope no one’s ears started bleeding.

          • TLM says:

The Countess should have sung “Money Can’t Buy You Class,” but that’s sort of obvious.

That event sounded psychotic. Alex in bedsheets? Luann wearing some old headdress? And Jill was presented with a painting of her and her dog??!?

Jill looks more unattractive in every photo I see of her. She needs to rethink the bangs and long hair. They just aren’t flattering the way she wears them.

        • AZ Girl says:

OMG! Alex arrived in a caftan made from the fabric of Jill’s linens line.

          • JazzNightOut says:

I thought it was Simon; it said VanKempen so I was seeing Simon in the bedsheets, which is funnier to me. It would be like Simon to do that; you saw what he wore to Bethenny’s wedding. I actually think Simon is one of the funniest, most honest people. I follow him on Twitter, and I am never disappointed; often amazed and admiring.

    • boston02127 says:

Too bad owning diamonds couldn’t make you pretty or nice.

      • Blue Sky says:

so true Boston. Love seeing your 4 leaf clover…hugs to you!

I can’t even imagine owning so many carats of diamonds, even if we had the money…I’d rather endow a scholarship fund & help orphans in Africa.

  8. LynnnSoCal says:

Anderson Cooper is gay and has a longtime partner. He doesn’t discuss his personal life. It’s kind of way old news. Nice article in Nov. issue Vogue magazine. As for Andy, I think he’s just a born flirt and will flirt with anyone regardless of age, gender, or preference. I adore him so find it difficult to fault him. I want him for my personal “Gay”.

  9. BessiB says:

I found this, looking for something to do on this beautiful, sunny, 75 degrees day today..

    • Kansas Girl says:

You just soak up that weather! Here it’s 24 and falling to below 20 tonight. What they call light snow (it’s white, if that’s what they mean) is blowing in the 31 mph wind. Lovely!

  10. HD says:

From the footage that Bravo showed for upcoming shows Nene and Kim get in a huge fight on Kim’s tour bus. I am not sure about what but it looked like it was about to get physical. I think these women try to appear like they are above the madness after the fact of the show. After watching Jill implode after her season I am sure they don’t want to suffer the same fate.

Kelly got a big taste of in yo face with Bethanny’s magazine cover. 🙂 I loved that.

    • Blue Sky says:

That cover was awesome, so great that Kellidiot’s ex was the photographer. Loved it! Sending hugs to you HD, good to see you here.

      • Adgirl says:

NeNe and Kim have been fighting ever since Tardy for Party became a reality.
Two aging showgirls fighting over the last pole.

  11. HD says:

I meant to say Kandi’s tour bus.

  12. Had Enough! says:

    NY stores to avoid today:

“ny xmas shops to hit: uggs, wink, intermix, jcrew, opening ceremony, uniglo, madewell, marc jacobs, marc by marc jacobs, and…..”

Anyone want to guess why? By the way, I apologize profusely for falling down on the KellIdiot Alerts yesterday. I can only take so much of her before I want to jump into the river, and it is way too cold to be jumping into the river these days.

    • Golden Girl says:

      Lol! let me guess….. KellIdiot?

      • Had Enough! says:

Yup. Waiting for an endless stream of tweeted pics …

It must drive her crazy that I never tweet her so she has no idea who I am. She’d have to block nearly all her followers to keep me from reading her tweets. Such a moron.

  13. Amber...Real Wife says:

That upcoming kerkuffle looks like a tre-licious fight! I know violence is not the answer *wink wink*, but these ladies look like they need a good cuffing! (Frasier Crane circa 199?)

I can’t stand it when Nene uses the old “don’t talk to a sister/black woman like that” excuse. You should respect all women, regardless of race, especially a hostile, violent woman, with no self-control, who is about to beat you into a coma! Race, age, finances, status, and location have little to do with it, as Nene, NaomiCampbell, TMANGuidice, ZsaZsaGabor, Liza Minelli and Bjork are all sisters in the same maniacal club.

  14. Golden Girl says:

I just read over at RT that Alexis and Jim from OC filed for bankruptcy protection! She was also on her Face Book page talking about how Christmas is almost here and she had a lot of shopping to do; what pigs.

    • Had Enough! says:

      Here’s the petition: https://ecf.cacb.uscourts.gov/doc1/973141646250.

It is a Ch. 11 (reorganization) for a company called Global Marine, Inc.

The schedules, including the list of assets and the list of debts, is due w/in 14 days of the filing date. At this point, there is only one creditor listed:

      9200 OAKDALE AVE
      CHATSWORTH CA 91311

and it is apparently a secured creditor, because the filing says that there are no unsecured creditors.

And per this article, the mortgage is held by….CHASE.

AND it took some doing, but matching the details and photos from the sainted Mama (realestalker) with the Redfin listings, I believe it is 2672 Circle Drive, Newport Beach. You can check it out on Redfin and see if you recognize any of the interiors from the show. The stair case looks right, but I really don’t remember much about that house. The assessed value matches the assessed value on the tax bill. Not just the total but also land and improvements. So I’m pretty sure this is the right house.

Unfortunately the property tax bill doesn’t give the owner’s name … apparently that info is protected by California privacy law. So I can’t see if it is Bellino or this Global Marine. And I can’t find anything conveyed to Global Marine or Bellino in 2007…could very well be that they re-conveyed it after they purchased it…

      • TLM says:

Maybe Jesus Barbie and her King will be prayed for by members of their church, just like they were when they joined the show by some unknown threat of force.

    • AZ Girl says:

I thought that Taliban Jim had a judgment against him for being involved in a sports memorabilia scandal. I believe federal charges for selling fraudulent sport memorabilia with a bunch of crooks. Jim also had a popular restaurant in Newport that went bankrupt. The guy is slime. I bet Alexis wish she had picked a better “cash cow”.

  15. TrueLifeDiva says:

Hey Lynnfam! For all of you who follow any HouseWives on Twitter or FaceBook and they respond to your comments, please ask your favorite Bravolebrities to be interviewed by Lynn. Her podcast is really starting to take off and the more name recognition she gets, the easier it will be to get the “big dogs” on her show. It’s a win-win situation. The HouseWives get to promote their show and open up to fans and we get to see them from a more intimate point of view. Let’s get the word out and rustle up some HouseWives for Lynn to interview!!!

    • Had Enough! says:

Well, TLD, can we please make ONE little exception? Please do NOT tweet our fave moron to ask her to be on. Please pretty please?

    • Need a Hobby says:

I was thinking, since Lynn interviewed Tabatha, she should have a link to T’s book at Amazon.

Since Lynn can’t have adverts on wordpress, perhaps links to HW merch should be on Lynn’s podcast page either by creating a podcast page on blogspot where adverts are allowed or on the pageants podcast page, with any proceeds supporting the podcast.

For example, it would be interesting if some folks who listened to the podcast actually preordered Tabatha’s book. Same with any others with merch who may be on the podcast. It’s more advertising for them, which is why they do interviews anyway. Just a thought. It might not result in much $ but it’s worth a try.

      • OneMoreInBoston says:

That is a very interesting idea.

there was another blog that tried that- unfortunately there was so little traffic on that particular blog no one bought anything.

It is a good idea- as long as Lynn’s content won’t be compromised or affect her posts. i

i.e. if she’s got a link to purchase Tabatha’s book, and then Tabatha got involved in some type of a scandal, does that mean that Lynn won’t be able to comment negatively?

Lynn is very fair to everyone so what if she takes a wait and see approach to the scandal but it is viewed as sucking up to a celebrity for $?

It could be a great idea to generate revenue but a bad idea from a public relations standpoint.

Very interesting idea though….hhmmmm…thinking how to leverage this idea in the best way possible….

        • Need a Hobby says:

I was thinking synergy with ad placements, as an experiment. Frankly, I think we’re talking pennies so I don’t see how Lynn’s editorial independence would be or appear compromised, whether pennies or a few dollars.

Not, I think, a problem for Lynn. She’d have control over whatever ads she wanted to place. Whether ads for bravolebrities’ books or John Deere farm equipment. Maybe she can toss in a few ag reports for her rural readers, LOL. 🙂

Lynn had amazon ads for Bethenny’s merch on her blogspot site, as I recall. Maybe Silex’s book too, IIRC? Same thing, essentially. And if someone uses a link to buy something else on Amazon, not the item advertised, it still counts if I understand correctly. Some organizations and sites I know have links to amazon so if people use that link to get to Amazon, the site gets a small % of the purchase cost, regardless what they buy.

Just tossing that out there. Tom & Lorenzo (Project Rungay), for example, have a very popular blog and they have ads & a donation thingy too. I don’t think they’re making big bucks out of it, they still have day jobs, but the ads may contribute a bit to their expenses. Which is better than nothing.

          • OneMoreInBoston says:

It’s an amazing idea- very entrapenurial. (no way no how am I going to be able to spell that at this time of night lol)

All of the HW’s are shilling something so it actually may be a way to sweeten the pot for them to come onto the show for an interview.

  16. meadowwood says:

Lynn, your blog on the RHBH states “…her live-in housekeeper didn’t just quit, she snuck out in the dead of night taking all of her belongings with her and didn’t give Kyle any notice or even say good-bye to the children. This must be a rough place to work.”

I just watched this again and didn’t hear Kyle say her housekeeper, packed up and snuck out in the dead of night, etc. The dilemma was that she was sick and couldn’t cover for the Monday woman. Where did you hear she snuck out without saying goodbye to the children?

  17. TrueLifeDiva says:

    @Had Enough!
I didn’t think Leather would be a problem since she’s “up here” and we are all “down there” 😀

  18. Interesting post about prop 13 in California. It keeps property taxes artificially low and deprives the state of needed tax revenue. Not that I’m one for higher taxes; however, we don’t have that luxury in Texas.

    • Had Enough! says:

ya get whatcha pay for … in my area, people care about good schools, good county services, etc … so they don’t fuss about the property taxes … but now with the economy in the terlit, we don’t get good county services anyway …

California had a ton of revenue from other taxes (income, sales, corporate) …. now that so many people are unemployed and no one is shopping, income and sales taxes are way down, corporate tax is way down … they were able to skate by because they had so much other revenue … but no more …

      • Adgirl says:

Had Enough, where do you live?

        • Adgirl says:

Prop 13 only covers property that was owned at the time the initiative passed. All change of ownerships since then are standard rate. It’s been something like 30 years.

          • Had Enough! says:

The rate never changes. It is always 1% of assessed value. The assessment increase is limited to 2% of the base assessment, which is the assessed value when you bought the house. The only time the assessed value can rise more than that (i.e., to the true market value) is when you sell or when you re-build. Now that means that for most of the past 30 years, real estate taxes lagged far behind market value except on properties that were sold. Since the huge real estate bust, the assessed values are probably much closer to market value and it some cases, probably upside down.

  20. AZ Girl says:

Just caught up and watched last week’s BH. Now that we know Taylor’s history it brings to light why she has had so much work done. The desire to have everything in her life “perfect”because of her past.
Russell has no clue and it is really sad. Taylor needs someone who will nurture her and Russell is not a husband that will do that. My impressions of Taylor has now done a 180. Good for her to take the risk and make this public.

    • klmh says:

When Andy asked her about the amount of cosmetic surgery done, she said not much, other than the lip enhancer and some Botox on the temples, isn’t that correct?
She has lovely eyes, like a doe.

      • AZ Girl says:

I really think she has had cheek implants. But who knows. Her birthday party for Kennedy is now making sense. Giving her daughter everything she did not have and being excessive with the party.

        • klmh says:

I may have heard it incorrectly, but I think she was talking about her mother being abused, as in domestic abuse, not her. It obviously affects the children tremendously as well, but its not directed at them, but at the spouse. I thought she said that’s why kids blame themselves, because of the parents fighting and abuse. Did you hear that part? I only watched it once, so I could be wrong.

          • Kat says:

I always think when parents fight and abuse is involved the kids that see and hear the abuse are victims as well.

            • klmh says:

I agree, but the abuse isn’t directed at the children, ie sexual, or mental toward the children specifically. Emotional trauma or abuse definitely. What I mean to say is that she was not the target, but got caught in the cross fire. Is that what you heard?

              • klmh says:

Forgot to add, and is a victim as well…

              • Golden Girl says:

On seeing the abuse part I think thats what makes her disfigure her face and her need to change her name. She is so insecure about her past and is trying to cover up the hurt instead of dealing with the pain.

              • Kat says:

I heard the show once and honestly can’t recall her exact words. I remember thinking it explained her face. But that is just how I think.

          • kbinldo says:

It was her mom, but Taylor said her first memory is of her mom being abused. Wasn’t clear if it was her father or a subsequent boyfriend/husband. Looking back on it, it’s probably why she was so insistent on Kim ending the fight, then standing up & telling everyone to stop. Too many bad memories being brought back.

    • Golden Girl says:

I think she had her breast done as well. But then Andy did cut in a lot and didn’t let her finish.

    Re: Lynn’s podcast.

I’d like to hear Lynn interview Simon and Alex aka SILEX. Seeing as they met a while back and had a great time at the book signing, it would be interesting to be a fly with an earhorn in the room. lol

I’d also enjoy Nene and Kandi from Atlanta. Lynn hasn’t been too harsh on them, (Not that there’s anything wrong with that!) 🙂 (disclaimer) Nene could explain her camera balls and Kandi could advertise her upcoming album. OOPS did that drop already?

Gretchen in OC is my favorite, even though she has questionable taste in men. She is a pretty joyous young woman. I’d love to hear Lynn ask the q’s about Slade and what he brings to the table/bed. Jeanna and her side of the melee would be interesting too.

In BH’s we have PinkyVanderpump and Cedric. Those two are really characters and I wonder what Lynn would ask Ceddie the Moocher?

Lastly the big get, the whales, Bethenny and Andy. I mean if BenWeiner can get on the show and interview housewives, I think Andy should go on Lynn’s show as she blogs all things BRAVO!

Camille really works my nerves. Did you all see on the video clip of the dinner when she mentioned taht woman Faye doing Playboy and then Kyle says, “didn’t you do Playboy?” Camille says yes and then Kyle says, “when?” and Camille says, “I did the ummmm…lingerie edition. Like she is really thinking. You know when you did the damn Playboy session. Like that is something you freaking forget! She knew exactly when she did it. She just felt stupid because she was trying to bring up that woman doing it and she did it as well. Kick rocks!

I do not wish ill will on anyone but the more I see this woman the more I can see why Kelsy packed his bags and moved to New York. I don’t condone having an affair at all but I can see why he wanted to leave. She is nuts and likes to stir up trouble.

    • JazzNightOut says:

When I watch Camille, I understand Kelly more. As in, I think Kelly is as mean and antagonistic as Camille. Camille uses the same rationales as Kelly does; Camille just sounds a little more intelligent than Kelly because Kelly uses 60’s terms. Both are not smart (dumb!) and not nice. And both know exactly what they are doing.

      • Had Enough! says:

Funny, I’ve been wondering about that – is Kelly as mean as Camille? I am not sure. I agree that with Kelly, part of it is the dumbness, so it is hard to tell. But I don’t think she is always mean. I think she has a mean streak. Whereas Camille is clearly a vicious bitch 24/7.

        • Adgirl says:

I don’t like Kelly because I think she is a dimwitted snob who is desperate for male attention. I never thought she was intentionally mean like Camille.

        • Mimisfbay says:

Kelly was scary and actually how I found Lynn’s blog. I was convinced that the woman would be taken out in a straight jacket and hated Jill.

Obviously Camille and Kelly are self absorbed but Kelly is basically pathetic. On the other hand Camille takes self absorbed to a new, creepier level. No sympathy for a woman who is incredibly manipulative and, you are so right, a mean bitch. Who can blame Kelsey G? Oh, I guess that is also speaking of the self absorbed. Actually see similarities in JZ and CG. They both want to crush others like bugs. Amazing that they do this in front of cameras so they must think others see the world as they do, no?

        • floridagirl88 says:

I think Kelly is stupid. Camille, however, is mean, devious and hateful. Not to worry, you get what you give so we only need sit back and watch karma kick her bony ass. I’m beginning to hate Camille as much as I Hate Jill Zarin!

Camielle never appeared in Playboy Magazine as a Playmate. She tested for Playmate and was rejected. Most playmate rejects photos go into Playboy Newstand Specials such as Book of Lingerie, Girls of Summer, Girls Next Door, etc.

She is probably jealous that the other woman is prettier and maybe appeared in the actual magazine.

Playboy is pretty strapped for money and they own all rights to Camille’s photos. It wouldn’t surprise me if all of a sudden Camille announces she’s doing playboy. It will be ala Kelly Bensimon. New Cover Shot with old photos inside.

    • Adgirl says:

That is why Camille hates Kyle. Kyle is the pretty one, prettier than Camille.

When he got angry, he was a real jerk. Just struck me as an arrogant person. I really didn’t care to see him after that. And yes, his hair looked very weird. Reminiscent of Kim Jung Il.

Hello all and greeting from my silent white domain. We got about 22 inches of snow (so far) and now the wind is kicking up. There were no sounds of hunters’ guns, no bells or laughter from the near-by school and no sounds of movement from the town’s main drag. The snow has effectively stopped life in a little MN town, for now. I know it sounds strange, but I cherish these days. They are few and far between in this age of go, go, go so I believe they are to be cherished. Tomorrow I wall have to dig a path to where I think my car is parked, find my car (it’s out there somewhere), go the Post Office and write and email explaining why I pulled my mail carrier from the streets (it should be obvious, but alas, it’s the government), clean the snow from my deck and get on with it. Tomorrow is suck HUGE, but tonight, it’s beautiful.

Cusi, your link reminded of something I thought of this week when Al Roker was introducing a piece on the Today Show and used the word “caregivers.”

When did “caretakers” all become “caregivers”? It just dawned on me that people are using this new term, and it drives me crazy in the same way some people tried to turn “handicapped” into “handicapable,” a movement which mercifully seemed to fade away. I don’t know why “caretaker” suddenly became a sinister word…as if anyone thinks they are taking care AWAY from people? Care + taker = one who takes care OF another, not one who takes care FROM another. But we all know this already.

I know it probably seems petty and stupid, but perhaps some of my fellow writers on here can relate??

      • Had Enough! says:

It is an American expression. Apparently, it is meant to distinguish between someone who is hired to take care of a thing, or place, or person (like the caretaker of a building) and a person who has a personal connection to a person needing care.

Boston@o2127 & HD, I echo all of the lovely sentiments on this blog to you each. My feelings run deep for both of you. A very wise pastor once gave me good advice about pain. I was sharing with him about an issue I was dealing with. I told him perhaps I did not have the right to be feeling the pain since I was better off than so many others…that there was so much real pain in the world, it made my problem seem almost silly in comparison. He was quick to tell me that “Pain is pain. It’s not about comparing one pain to another. It all hurts and is valid for the one who feels it.”
I know each of you has great pain, and I wish more than anything that you get some peace from the love washing over you from the community on Lynn’s site. You both lost a loved one and will always remember that loss, but hopefully the pain will ease with time.
Top Chef – Jen acted the fool. She knew she was going, and she decided to lash out. Eric Ripert’s response (posted earlier) was on point – it was wrong for her to behave that way. I also agree that the undercooked eggs in the frittatas should have trumped her error in not adequately seasoning her hard egg (which was, at least, safe to taste).
RHOBH – I am embarrassingly looking forward to the comeuppance of Camille. She is worthy of a “great fall”. I think the reunion show may end up being the best episode of the series!
RHOA – I just can’t get Nene’s behavior from Season 1 out of my head. I think we are seeing a carefully constructed Nene 2.0 this season. I like this Nene, but I don’t think she is real – that will take some time. Same with Sheree. Phaedra is just comically stupid. Some have suggested that she was give the “diva” role, and is trying to portray that. If so, she is abysmally bad at it. Kim is on my ____ list right now, smoking while pregnant and teaching her daughters that the way to a good life is hooking some guy with a baby.
MM – PS is a skank – no other words need apply. Damon from last week is truly creepy. I would have feared for my safety with him! Judith Reagan should be interesting to watch.
Fashion Show – I may even watch this one live, I want to see it so much! Teresa as a client…Calvin may implode!
WWHL – You know, I tune in each episode and leave disappointed in Andy’s refusal to follow-up. He half-heartedly responds to the ridiculousness, and then says, “OK” and moves on. He should, for once, push until he gets a real answer.
Sorry for the extensive post – I had a lot of catching up to do.
I hope everyone is warm and safe this morning. Have a wonderful Sunday – “see you” in Atlanta tonight!
PS – Lynn, your empire continues to grow 🙂 Congrats on the podcasts and your AC status. It’s an honor to watch the birth and development of a professional blogger (wink). Love ya!

My heart hurts for the Madoff victims, the Madoff family and the honest people in Madoff’s industry whose integrity is soiled.

I am glad that our paths have
Bless You & those you love !

    • TLM says:

I don’t know that the son was being selfish. For someone to commit suicide, especially with young children, they must have been in incredible pain. Mark Madoff also has a wife and a 4-year old daughter. Everything seems to have pointed to Madoff being innocent of what his father did — he worked on the legitimate side of the business — but he was still under investigation, and his wife wanted to legally change her name and the names of the children due to death threats and other harassment. It sounds like either he felt bad about what his father had done, and thought he would never be free from that stigma, even if he was innocent. It is a shame he did not get psychiatric help or reach out to a friend before taking his life. He, his wife and 2 kids are yet 4 more casualties of Bernie Madoff and his greed.

      • Wall St Lady says:

        U said
        “4 more casualties” & that’s what I meant.
I have suicide in my immediate family and I say selfish because the loved ones never stop hurting & wishing they could have done something, anything, to have prevented the suicide. I certainly acknowledge Mark’s pain, &shame, that made him feel he couldn’t go forward.
But his action ,according to suicide survivors was
“A permanent solution to a temporary problem”.
I do hope people who hit the depths of depression know there is help.
I also want them to know that their death which will bring permanent relief to their pain, will bring unending pain to their family. I have always said of my family member who took his life ,that it was the meanest thing he could have done to us and I do not think his intention was to punish us for the rest of our lives. He would have been 60 Aug. 18 & died at 17. I cried all day. It hasn’t stopped hurting.
Mark’s children will always wonder why he didn’t love them more than the problem. I know he was in a state so painful he wasn’t thinking of anyone else & his act was selfish to me.

        • klmh says:

Mark was obviously sending a message to his father by killing himself on the 2nd anniversary of his father’s arrest. It was preplanned for this date, and I can’t imagine the pain and suffering Mark went thru these past years.
I’m just wondering how its affecting his father. Does he feel he has killed his son, which he has, but is there remorse? Does Bernie have remorse for ruining thousands of peoples lives with his ponzi scheme?

          • Wall St Lady says:

            I wonder too.

          • OneMoreInBoston says:

I think even sociopaths are capable of some feelings. Didn’t Ted Bundy worry about what would happen to his wife when he was executed?

Mark Madoff had not spoken to either of his parents for 2 years. And remember it was Mark and his brother who turned their father in to the authorities.

I am not to concerned about, Bernie Madoff, it appears as though he is thriving in prison, has no remorse and is still defiant. Con artists are always survivors.

I wonder and worry about his wife. She has been very publicaly ostracized, even her hairdresser refuses to see her.

Now one of her precious children has died at his own hand, and her husband of decades will be in prison for the rest of his life, leaving her almost less than a widow.

She may have been arrogant, she may have been rude, but I cannot imagine she knew her husband was running a Ponzi scheme, when even the SEC didn’t figure it out for years.

So many lives ruined, all for greed.

How much better off everyone would have been if Bernie Madoff had just decided to become a dentist, garbage collector, or a truck driver.

Happy Sunday! Let’s start with a photo of KellIdiot wearing normal clothes, chest out-thrust, Sonja in a less-than-flattering dress (too short), and Steven Tyler (realitytea.com).

Contrast KellIdiot, the former model, to the photo of Bethenny in normal people clothes. How is it that Bethenny is so much more comfortable in front of a camera than the former model? And then one photo below that, Kelly goes out in public wearing a schlumpy cardigan – the kind that looks good on no one – over leggings and riding boots. And then a couple of photos below, with Jill. This time she’s wearing a huge white sweater (again, with the sleeves way too long), some randomly draped black fabric, leggings, and the weirdest Daniel Boone, laced up suede boots with fringe.

Have to admit that LuAnn looks fantastic in that gray dress. Great style, shows she has a great body.

Continue scrolling for some major crazy-face from Ramona, Taylor looking good (except for the lips) on a ski trip, Camille looking mean (LOVE THE CAPTION: “Jilted BH Housewife Camille Grammer attends the opening of Babakul”), followed immediately by a photo of Kelsey and Kayte.

    Pictures worth a thousand words.

Anyone want to bet on Kikilet’s first morning tweet (other than “morning tweeters” or “morninggggggg!”?

It is Sunday, so it may be about the crappy pancakes she makes for her kids, who then have to make their own because she can’t cook. She just makes those stupid videos to compete with Bethenny. Who can cook. Because she is a chef, not a cook.

Or it could be about last night’s dinner. So deeeelishhhhh!

Or a tweet of a photo from one of the many bars she went too last night even though she doesn’t drink.

Or from one of the stores she graced with her presence….

The dangerous part when she does pancakes is when the horses have to eat them! Remember her beloved horse George died? My story is those pancakes were the cause and I stick with it!

OK, here it is: the cooking routine…

“Mornin. Baking holiday cookies, and tree trimming. Getting festive. “Chief, dont eat the ornanments. sit.”

Thanks everyone, again. 🙂 Today is a better day. Each day is a little better which is great.

This weather is crazy. Here we only have enough snow where if you sneeze one good time it would be all gone but the city acts like a HUGE blizzard has just happened. I am from Colorado so I have seen snow and lots of it so when I see them freak out I am thinking, really? Calm down! LOL! There isn’t enough snow outside to make an ice cube. For those that really got some snow stay inside and relax. Whatever needs to be done you can get to when the storm breaks.

    Re: Rocco
When Taylor wouldn’t answer if she stirred Camille’s pot, Rocco kept inserting “ok, that means yes!” lol

Re: Rocco – is it just me or did his face look bloated? I don’t think the rest of him was but he looked botoxed and perhaps “filled.” I suspect it’s in anticipation of his new cooking contest show on Bravo starting next year.
