IHJZ The Fashion Show SWTS Air Date 12/21/01

The Fashion Show Week Six by quincyil

The members of both the House of Emerald and the House of Nami are showing signs of exhaustion. We see that the flirtation between Dominique and David has continued as they worked closely together for these weeks. The teams are awakened and told that they are going to New Jersey. The challenge this week is to take items from the Lost and Found of a train station and create a Fashion Collection reflecting a stylish weekend get away. The Lost and Found smells and Calvin does not want to touch anything. There are suitcases on the floor. The House of Nami has one suitcase with a green swatch. The House of Emerald has one suitcase with a blue swatch. Team members that get the colored swatches will switch teams. David leaves Dominique and the House of Nami. Jeffrey joins Calvin in the House of Nami. Neither is happy. The designers pick up belts, umbrellas, bicycles, sheets, hats, and articles of clothing that they feel they can convert. The House of Nami discusses their color pallet which will be greens and blues. The House of Emerald is every man for himself.

Collection Mood Boards

Laura Brown, an editor and a woman who buys clothes, meets with the teams and their moos boards this week. She shows concern over the collections and warns them to be creative within the parameters of the challenge. It appears that the designers are rebelling in their interviews. Each house will have to design and construct one extra look. Calvin tells us, “No problem.”

The House of Nami is sending the imaginary ladies to the weekend getaway in New York City. Eduardo tries to give some advice to Calvin and that is rejected. Dominique will use an umbrella to make a creative dress. If she leaves, she will leave because of a dress that she loves.

The House of Emerald’s destination is the Hamptons. Their ladies will go from the train to the beach. Cesar is working very quickly. Cindy tells us that it is “hard to speak to Cesar sometimes.” Cesar tells Laura Brown that his ladies will drink “martinis, margaritas, and vodka.” David mentions a leopard scarf. Laura tells David to” polish, polish, polish.” She says the words a second time as a warning to David. Cesar discusses a blue and orange swim suit. Laura warns him about the color orange. Cesar says that Black women look good in orange and they go to the Hamptons too.

Work Session

This is another 24 hour challenge for a complete collection and the times are showing stress. They will work until 2 AM.

The House of Emerald is functioning, but exhausted. David is trying to use a lot of props including a racket ball. Cesar is working furiously because he feels he has to come up with the extra designer option as his teammates will only be able to make their own design. He is making two swim suits, the blue and the orange on mannequins. David tells us Cesar works quickly. Cesar says swim suits are easy to make, “like taking a dump.” The team members tell us that because Cesar is so fast he has more influence over the collection. Cesar would like to be paid to teach his team mates. Cindy is having problems with the off white cloth as it is old and seems to fall apart.

The House of Nami is working hard also. Eduardo has Dominique try on his leather pants. She thinks she looks sexy and giggles. She is 21 years old. Jeffrey likes his piece and tries to give Calvin advice on the front of his piece. That advice is rejected. Calvin is done. He decided to become a designer at 18, went to Kmart to buy a sewing machine and became another success as he owns at least 3 designers stores in several cities. Calvin starts work on the 5th piece. He will not accept any input from team mates. They do not like what he is designing and they don’t think it fits with the collection. Calvin states that they other designers have no time to help with the 5th piece so “they love to like my taste.” Dominique has a converted trench coat and an under dress made out of umbrella parts. She wants a more creative design.

Model Fittings

House of Nami member Calvin states that he is “pushing envelope.” Calvin states “I should win.” Jeffrey has a jacket that shows a bit of silk hanging down as if this nicely dressed woman has her slip showing.

House of Emerald member Cindy is worried about the colors of the swimsuits and how they fit with the collection. Cesar will not listen to Cindy. David criticizes, but only in interviews. The team mates try to finish. David works in the center of the room while Dominique works at his side. They are “sharing.” After the work session David goes to see Dominique for yoga. The theme of this week is lovers torn apart by the competition.

The Fashion Show

The models walk a runway where there is falling water. Dominique’s trench coat and dress walks first. The runway show seems drab. Cindy thought that the House of Nami looks good and she is concerned.

Iman and Isaac are unhappy with both Fashion Shows. Iman states that the judges had to decide which house look was worse. Iman says, “You are not really ready for the runway.” There is no winner this week. The House of Emerald is the losing house. Dominique’s dress is the winning dress. She takes a pass on an extra $500 next week in favor of immunity so that next week she can be very creative. Isaac and Iman are impressed with Dominique. Isaac and Iman ask Dominique, “Who doesn’t deserve to be here?” She immediately says, “Calvin.” Calvin is told to go to the losing house with his dress.

The House of Emerald stands alone with Calvin on stage. Calvin is asked to explain his designs first. He is told to walk to the side. Cindy explains her dress next. She is told to remove items and her dress is criticized, but she is told to stand next to Calvin. The two designers left are Cesar and David. Cesar is told that his swim suits are awful and that the blue is better than the orange. His dress is criticized, but they like the patterns from sheets that he put together. David’s model has items removed and in the end, the judges find that David is “out of fashion.” David will be waiting for his love, Dominique. The lovers have been separated.

In two weeks “The Fashion Show” returns with Rachel Zoe and Johnny Weir.

Skating with the Stars by quincyil

The final evening of performance began with Johnny Weir shaking in a golden cage on the ice. He wore a spider like, see through top with black feathers on his collar. There were leaps and twirls to dramatic music. Three other skaters came onto the ice, two women and one man. They interacted with Johnny, the man even grabbing Johnny’s blade at one point in the performance. Laruieann, a judge and the choreographer gave Johnny a standing ovation.

We were introduced to Bethenny and her partner Ethan. Rebecca and her partner followed. Other contestants skate their best routines from earlier evenings. There was video of practice sessions and the improvement of all contestants was noted.

Bethenny was told by the judges that she had transformed herself into a pair skater. She wore a shiny red suit that she wore in the first evening of competition. Laurieann told Bethenny that she hit every piece of the dance and that she was “no underdog.” Bethenny said that she had the best relationship with Ethan and at times called him her ice husband. The technical scores were 8 7 8 with Johnny Weir giving the lowest score. The Artistic scores were 10 9 9 with the perfect score coming from Laurieann. Bethenny stated that she felt like a 10.

Rebecca made a point of telling us that she was injured. She said to Bethenny in an interview, “It’s ok, Bethenny, you still have 12 jobs. After Rebecca’s performance, the crowd gave a standing ovation. Her technical scores were 10 10 10 . Her artistic scores were 10 10 10.

After waiting for the combination of the public voting and the judges scores the trophy of to skates, a male and female, was awarded to Rebecca, who had skated as a child and had held this dream for all of her life. Bethenny, who had never ice skated, said that she was pleased and that you can do anything you want to do. Bethenny said that Rebecca was a true skater and congratulated Rebecca with a smile that appeared to be genuine.

The IHJZ/Lynn Hudson board was popping yesterday. There were rumors that our girl, Ne Ne, was pregnant. She’s 42 and going through a divorce. Ne Ne twittered that this was not true. I think she probably knows the truth in this. Members discussed the shows in real time so the discussion on last night’s board might be of interest also.

Lynn will be blogging on tonight’s shows. Thanks to everyone here for their help and support. I really do love this Lynn Hudson family. Q

                • quincyil says:

                  LOL quirky…

. A peculiarity of behavior; an idiosyncrasy: “Every man had his own quirks and twists” (Harriet Beecher Stowe).
                  2. An unpredictable or unaccountable act or event; a vagary: a quirk of fate.
                  3. A sudden sharp turn or twist.

My hands are stiff in the morning. It comes with age…

                  • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

I thought you might have meant that. I too am very quirky. Especially to all these Southern Peeps including my hubby. I am still a Yankee from NYC?! Ha ha ha
My hands have arthritis bad too so I know how you feel. I will be 53 in March.
How old are you if you don’t mind me asking & where exactly are you?

        • Is that the pink quilt you where talking losing about yesterday? I kept wondering what quilt did she lose?

  4. Blue Sky says:

Quincy, great job recapping all these shows & moderating the board too. All this, & you work at the hospital, take care of a score or more of horses, & your family…a real wonder woman! Kadooz to you Ramona style ; )

Oh Johnny Weir, we will be watching you in 2 weeks on the Fashion Show. LOL looks like you got the message from Bethenny’s fans & ABC to not be such a crappy judge on SWTS.

  5. DJ Fruit Loops says:

never watched it and i knew Bethenny would never win it regardless of how good she was
i saw on some other page that was describing her very gracious remarks about not winning and how good rebecca was a reply from some creature named Ginger ripping into bethenny for no apparent reason other then to start some shit
it sounded exactly like Jill which makes me think it really isnt but some jill fanatic trying to stir the pot

  6. DJ Fruit Loops says:

seriously doubt that NeNe is pregnant

    • Rabble Rouser says:

I hit into this site tonight. It’s actually pretty funny. And make sure you click on the links for the oh-so-classy pics of Camille. She’s so full of crap.

Cword is spread E. & you know whating ! Ick Ick & double Ick

    • quincyil says:

That’s the site that I looked at and mentioned yesterday.

Do you think the ladies in BH are more sophisticaled than the NYC ladies. They seem to have more money and larger homes, but they aren’t real socialites, right? If you compare to Chicago society, I think Mrs. Marshall Fields IV and our Zip are higher society than Mrs. Kelsey Grammer.

I cleaned house for Mrs. Wrigley (cubs, chewing gum, and Chicago Tribune.) She would never treat her guests as Mrs. Grammer did.

My mother said recently that when I was four I was in a Marshall Fields Fashion show for a hospital charity. My grandfather, a surgeon, was on the board of Grant Hospital. I vaguely remember a satin dress that turned pink and blue in the light and holding the hand of a lady while walking in bright lights. Who knew? I was Gia Guidice and I had simply forgotten after 54 years.

    • oh my God.
I can not believe this woman.
      Those pictures are horrible.
Does she not remember doing these,
or has she not been introduced to
      the internet?

She actually had the balls to call someone else “morally bankrupt”?

      • TLM says:

It wasn’t even just that she called Faye morally bankrupt. Faye was totally smeared by OJ Simpson’s legal team. I don’t know where she could have earned a living. I don’t know if anyone else recalls this, but they developed a bizarre theory that Faye was a drug addict and either owed dealers money or it was a deal gone bad, and that that was the reason for the murders. I think they even said she was part of a cult. Of course, this doesn’t explain why the dealers would have killed Nicole or Ron, but what did OJ care? He just wanted any theory that didn’t involve him. Meanwhile, this woman was portrayed as a nutcase drug addict/cult member to the world. I don’t fault her for posing for Playboy 3 years later when she probably had no money. Camille apparently thinks her spread-eagle on the rooftop of some building is superior to Faye’s Playboy issue (where she clarified she did not spread). Who cares about any of it, really, except that Camille is a golddigging hypocrite who’s accomplished nothing in life but to attach herself like a leech to a successful actor who happened to have a penchant for stripper types as well as a raging drug addiction. And she is a nasty person to boot. In my book, that is “morally corrupt.” Allison apparently also confused Kyle with Camille when she said, “You’re nothing…you’ve accomplished nothing” at the end of that dinner where Camille was right next to her and Kyle was across the room. Allison needs to adjust her tinfoil hat and her meds, and Camille just needs to shut the f up and go away.

        • American Idiot says:

You are so right, TLM. Faye was put through the ringer during the OJ trial. If she was in Playboy, so what. Does not bother me at all. As far as Camille goes, I am sure there are many more pictures out there of her, not just the ones posted here. I can’t stand her, her condescending speaking voice, her little girl mannerisms, her lies, innuendos and constant need to be better than anyone else.

        • LynnnSoCal says:

I just love when strong opinions are backed up with actual evidence! I totally agree with you. Camille isn’t all that bright and her vile tactics clearly show her morally bankrupt personality disorder. She’s in La-La Land!

        • Adgirl says:

There you have it. A complete recap of Camille’s life. Well done TLM!!

        • WindyCityWondering says:

Seems Camille can justify everything she does (look at all the suggestively morally corrupt photos) but has a different scale of justice for anyone she doesn’t like. She vilified Faye, she keeps insisting that Kyle is assaulting her and yet she lets her trained psycho spew nastiness at her “dinner guests”! A successful dinner does not include guests making a hasty exit nor cackling like crazed harpies with the guests of honor.

          • ches says:

IMHO, when you compare Camille’s pics with Faye’s, there actually is no comparison. Camille’s look like they came out of Hustler, not Playboy. Faye’s, on the otherhand, are actually quite artsy and tastefully done. I think the thing that really pissed me off about Camille was her judging Faye and Nicole Simpson’s friendship. If I was murdered I wouldn’t care in the least if my best friend made money from it. As long as she didn’t disparage my name or my family members, why would I care? You want your best friend to be happy and if you can somehow help, even in death , that’s a good thing. I don’t understand in the least why this would bother Camille.

    • TLM says:

Watching Camille having her nails done while whining to her mother about how hard her life is. My God, I can’t stand that skank. (Camille, that is. Her mom seems perfectly nice and I feel bad for her.)

  10. Wall St Lady says:

I don’t know what the judges expected. The houses didn’t sign up for an alterations competition. Making a “runway ready” creation by recreating old smelly clothes would be hard for any major designer much less our “not quite famous designers”.
I think this was the most
Ill conceived competition the judges could have dreamed up. Frankly I think it was conceived during a nightmare !!
I think both houses should have gotten a pass or the judges should have been required to find & wear an outfit for the duration of the show, acquired from those dusty suitcases in the basement of the station !

    • quincyil says:

The materials matter. I really didn’t like Dominique’s dress although it was creative. I like the work of Eduado and Jeffrey this week. Calvin and Cesar are both creative, self assured, and experienced, but I don’t think either will win now. Cindy, Dominique, Jeffrey and Eduardo have real chances of winning. I don’t think it’s about the money that they will have for materials in the end either. I think it was be working with what money they have. Isaac loves creativity. It’s hard to read Iman.

The show makes me want to run to Kmart and buy a sewing machine.

    • quincyil says:

It reminded me of Grey Gardens where Jackie Kennedy’s cousin Edie Beale, wrapped sweaters aound her head and a skirt used a skirt for a poncho because the house was full of cat food cans and feces. I, like Calvin, would never touch that stuff.

    • amia009 says:

Hey WSL Do you have your own blog? If so what is the link? I heard you did.

  11. error 404 says:

    Great recaps Q!

I forgot that JW was going to be on TFS next week. Blocked it out of my mind I guess. lol When they said it, Mr 404 immediately said “oh God, he’s so over-exposed!”

I assume that’s what one says only when they are sick of a celebrity. I never heard him say it about Kelly Ripa, and bitch is EVERYWHERE. I wouldn’t be surprised to find her waiting outside my front door today.

The challenge was interesting, yet only Dominique really embraced it. The others played it safe, even Eduardo who thinks putting men’s pants on a woman is radical out-of-the-box thinking. Fate is cruel, as Emerald was given one of Nami’s weakest designers (dave) and the superior Nami was given one of Emerald’s strongest (jeff).

Iman said on WWHL that Calvin wouldn’t still be there if he wasn’t talented, but I think at this point he really needs to focus less on being on a show and focus more on designing good clothes. Although I will have to give hem credit, of all the reality people who chose to play the villian, he can actually still pull off likable.

    • quincyil says:

It seems that Calvin trained himself and did not graduate from a Fashion Institute. I find that interesting. He seems to know about the types of fashion so he must be self educated. Sometimes the professional world looks down on creative artists who come from non traditional routes. Not in this show, Isaac and Iman both welcome diversity.

Ro and David were the weak members of the House of Nami. The camera would pan to them when Isaac would make comments about this. Now, they are both gone. Jeffrey has the training and talent to pull this off. Eduardo wants to win and he knows he has to think out of the box. Dominique is already there. Cindy is afraid, but she has the ability to create interesting designs and carry them off. She has an innate ability to put together collections too.

I have a feeling someone, not Calvin or Cesar, will be asked to be lead designer soon. They did this with Emerald in the beginning and I think the judges want the other people to step up to the plate.

The Fashion Show returns in two weeks according to my Satellite Dish Schedule. There is a new MM next Tues. I’m sure you and the board will be thrilled to hear that.

I think Johnny Weir entered the Fashion Industry lime lights when he argued for fur and other clothing options in the Olympics. He has a unisex aspect that appeals to Fashion Industry leaders too. I think we will be hearing about Johnny for a long, long time.

    • TLM says:

Will Johnny Weir be skating on there also? I assume they’re going to have to design him a costume?

      • quincyil says:

Johnny is shown sitting with Rachel Zoe and other judges. They have guest judges wheo share their insights so I think the materials to be used will include fur and feathers.

        • LynnnSoCal says:

I was disappointed with JWier’s bitchy attitude on SWTS. I actually looked forward to seeing him on Rachel Zoe. I’m over it, way too much of him lately. Not a very cute or pleasant him either.

    • 2Stupid says:

I think Kelly and Bethenny are alot alike in that regard. Kelly always says she wants to take all opportunities NOW so when they stop coming, she will be financially able to support her family. She really doesn’t take herself too seriously about “pimping” herself out. I think I maybe would be the same way, scared it would end any day.

  12. Wall St Lady says:

    Kitty what is pattyinhoptown ?

BTW next to children,I love kittys most. As a child I refused to wear PJ w/o cats on them. I drew cat pictures on my note book & anything in my sight.I has a cat on anything possible. All stuffed animals were Kittys. (too bad it was b4 Hello Kitty).
I even signed my name w/a cat stick figure attached.
To this day I have I have never sent a Christmas or birthday card that didn’t have a cat on it and I have lots of Hello Kitty stuff. I haven’t welcomed u yet so welcome !
I was telling you I have been kitty obsessed w/Kitty’s since I can remember & I like your moniker !

Thank you so much. Well Patty In Hoptown is short for Hopkinsville, KY
That’s what us locals call it. I have only been a local here for 10 yrs. 😉
I love kitties even more because we don’t have children so they make a great furry replacement. We have 4 now. We had 6 but 2 died over the past couple of yrs. 1 was 16 the other around 18!
Our kitties our indoors only & all fixed immediately. I have great kitty pics both animated & real. Happy Holidays To You & Yours~I will share whatever pics I have that you would like.

        • AZ Girl says:

Well done! Enjoy your winter break. Treat yourself to a spa day or something nice. You earned it.

  14. quincyil says:

SWTS seemed like a cheap, three ring circus to me. The two hosts on ice, the way the rink was designed, the three clow judges who wanted so much to continue being judges next season, the way the judging was half points from the three and half audiences calls…. it just reminded me of sitting in a tent and watching the clowns go around the circle.

I really am not a fan of reality shows. I watch the housewive shows because I am fascinated by women who wear designer clothes but speak like they just left the fish docks. If I was Jill Zarin, I would go to classes on how to speak English and try to learn manners before I claimed to be high society. It’s not the bank account, Jill. Money can’t buy you class…

    • TLM says:

I was really worried about injuries resulting from SWTS more than anything else. I think they were very lucky, considering what could have happened.

When Johnny M and Brooke fell last night, I was mortified. It was the way the fall happened, over the edge of the ice. Each one of them was catapulted like giant fish being slammed onto the ground by the tail. Since there really was no guardwall to catch them, they went right into an area where they could have gotten seriously hurt. Even when Johnny W did a slide on his knees across the ice, that rink was so small that I was nervous he, too, was going to slam into that tiny curb and maybe go over it.

I know they needed to fill time last night since there were only two couples performing, but they threw so much garbage in there including bringing back Sean Young and Vince Neil to “perform.” It was all these two could do to remain standing upright on the ice. I wanted to hand Vince Neil a tube of Ben-Gay and a hot water bottle and send him to bed. I didn’t watch Sean at all; I just couldn’t take it. Better they should have had Johnny W do a second routine, or the female host who’s a pro skater (I just can’t remember names!). It was weird anyway to have two nights in a row after doing the show once a week. And what was the point, for a star to win a trophy? They should have had the stars competing for charities, which would have been nice at this time of year. It all just made no sense.

      • Adgirl says:

“Ben-Gay + Hot Water Bottle + Bed = Vince Neil”? Heeehee. You messing with his rock stud image honey?? I’m sure he thinks it should still be “Tequila + 8 ball + Groupie = Vince Neil”.

It’s painful to watch these rock stars age.

        • quincyil says:

Apparently, all of my friends are aging. If you don’t see someone for awhile, it’s kinda shocking… I have some friend who were much taller than me who are now shorter than I am. That’s why I am working so hard to keep my skeleton straight and my muscles strong. I want to stand up and be able to climb stairs for a long, long time.

      • error 404 says:

Tanith Belbin… who’s much better skater than Johnny anway, but I digress…

  15. AZ Girl says:

Thanks QuincyIl for a great re-cap. Had to get to bed early and missed the Fashion Show so the recap is appreciated.

As for the pics posted of Ms. Grammer on a HVAC Yuck!

Remember when all the posters (including Lynn) were so frustrated and pissed at Jill Zarin for thinking that we (the audience) was stupid. Amazongate etc. This is the main reason why this blog was started in the first place. To “out” JZ for all her silly lies.

Now we have Camille with her “holier than thou” attitude toward the other BH Housewives and us as an audience. Camille’s history of posing nude is everywhere on the Internet but she insists that Faye Resnick is a tramp and she will not associate with her? Camille claims that everyone is jealous of her and her lifestyle.

Doesn’t she now know her pictures are going to materialize on the internet? Is Camille that stupid? Yes, she is and she lies. Her life is a lie, what she says in her interviews is a lie and she lives a lie with her marriage to Kelsey. Camille is JZ twin. Camille we “see” you. Yes the posters on this blog have you all figured out.

She is also a Kelly Bensimon going after people and claiming the others are bullies. Kelly has the same opinion of her ex Giles, the greatest photographer in the Universe who chose to love Kelly for a few short years and have two children and then dumped her on her rear. Kelly is going to spend the rest of he life being Mrs. Giles Bensimon as Camille is going to spend the rest of her life as Mrs. Kelsey Grammer.

I am only sad that Camille will be getting a good chunk of the Frasier money because of when she and Kelsey were married. I still doubt she will be able to maintain that warehouse she calls a closet that had enough clothes to fill a TJ Maxx store. I’ve seen a bunch of celebrity closets, but nothing remotely close to what that lunatic has. Well, at least she’ll save money on all the gowns she no longer has to buy for the red carpet. But who knows, Camille may yet wind up posing for “HVAC Honeys of Hollywood” to bring in a little extra cash.

What, what is there to be jealous of? Kyle’s friend Lisa has a bigger house than Camille, Kyle has a handsome husband (with whom she actually has a relationship and comes home at the end of the day) while Camille’s is unattractive, bald, and MIA. Kyle has friends and a nice life. So what can possibly be enviable about Camille?

      • T-REX says:

From the pics posted on the board today, Camillizilla can do a mean “dry hump” on some HVAC equipment naked! So maybe she thinks that makes her superior to others, just saying.

    Good morning everyone!

I do not watch the Fashion Show. I just could not get into it.

Once again I missed the Skating but I assumed the Rebecca woman would win. She was a beautiful skater. Bethanny came very far. To be honest, I didn’t think that she would make that far so she should be satisfied. Now she can go home to her husband and her daughter.

Thanks for keeping the blogs going, Quincy! I don’t ever do much in terms of the holidays. I cannot remember the last time I got a gift that was not monetary. I tend to buy my own things and my daughter is 15 and wanted a new cell phone. That was her only request. My husband doesn’t do Christmas at all. I plan on spending the day in bed watching movies or something. I doubt I will even cook. This is not a hardluck story or anything it is just how I choose to spend the holidays. They are not that big of a deal to me anymore. Soooooo I’m glad I have the blog and wonderful company.

    • quincyil says:

I believe that there is going to be a group here on the holidays.

I give money too, but my daughter was going to buy a play kitchen for my granddaughter and I said I want to buy that. The instructions to the grandmother were “not pink,” buy from Amazon, read the comment section because some people complain that the doors fell off the oven, and order right away. That was Dec. 9. So…grandma obeyed. She read comments. There was one play kitchen with fantastic comments all from grandmothers… Grandmothers bought that play kitchen for their granddaughter who loved it. Hmmmmm… I bought… It’s a walk in kitchen with a washer dryer and a tiny bar with a tiny bar stool. The four little girls in the one walk in kitchen looked very happy in the photo.

      • AZ Girl says:

Too cute! Do you have to assemble it Quincy?

        • quincyil says:

I think so. They just sent it yesterday and they required 2 day shipping. I’m hoping it’s on a truck going to the east from PA right now.

          • Adgirl says:

A tiny bar and barstool? What size are the shot glasses?

j/k it sounds so cute. I love Christmas for the little kids.

@HD we basically boycott the holiday too. Homemade pizzas here with everyone making their own toppings. I can’t believe my kids they don’t use tomato sauce on pizza. Blasphemy!!

            • quincyil says:

I think so. My granddaughter serves tea to her mommy, but she controlls the cookies and won’t share.

              • American Idiot says:

I have such a nice memory of my daughter and her little tykes play kitchen (green and yellow). She was serving breakfast to her stuffed animals and in front of Big Bird she put one cheerio. That just makes me smile, one little old cheerio for big bird.

              • Blue Sky says:

Years ago when my niece was little, she would “share” her m&m’s by biting them in half!

      • TLM says:

I have strong feelings about pink-free play kitchens as well. I prefer neutral colors since it is free of the visual message that being in the kitchen, cooking and cleaning are just things for girls and women to do. I like that increasingly the toy companies are marketing these to parents for BOTH boys and girls. Cooking and cleaning are part of basic self-sufficiency for all adults.

        • quincyil says:

My son in law does all of the cooking. My daughter works so she comes home and spends every free moment with the baby.

          • TLM says:

Quincy – I didn’t mean to sound like I was commenting on your family & hope it did not come off that way. A friend and I happened to have a lengthy discussion on the play kitchen topic over a year ago. I noticed you said they wanted non-pink but didn’t know if it was for the same reasons I prefer it.

            • quincyil says:

No, my daughter said “non pink” because we have having a new baby and it may be a boy. I bought my daughter Tonka trucks and the boys had access to any doll that they wanted in the toy box which was a giant purple hippo that my dad made out of wood. You feed the hippo the toys when you put stuff away. It was a brilliant idea. That hippo is in my granddaughter’s room and my dad who never saw our baby would have loved that.

  19. Good Morning everyone!

Good Morning All! Still raining, thunder storms expected. Quincy, your recaps are real accurate. I enjoy your take on the shenanigans of reality tv. We are close in age and I relate to a lot of your opinions and observations. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a discussion of the Bravo contract? I get the feeling some cast members were so excited to be on the telly they didn’t understand what they were agreeing to. Bravo is making major bank with these shows! Any thoughts?
I too am enjoying the holidays my way this year. No long drive to suffer through the toxicity that is my mum. We are staying home and loving the peacefulness. May you all enjoy the spirit of this giving season, Aloha

  22. California35 says:

I am glad SWTS is over!!! I am happy for Bethenny and Rebecca for being the last two standing. Great job! Both of them kept getting better. Bethenny now you can go back to your other 12 jobs — lol sorry I thought that was very funny that Rebecca said that. I am sure it was all in fun and games, both of them seem like they had fun.

    Quincy, great job again! 🙂

On a separate note — I never got my review after all. My boss won’t be in the rest of the week, so maybe next week?

Here is your Daily Horoscope for Wednesday, December 22

  24. American Idiot says:

With the holidays right around the corner, I thought I would mention this, as this year it hits pretty close to home. Whenever you think of someone who may be alone for the holidays, you often picture an elderly man, maybe a widower, or an elderly woman, whose grown kids live far away and can’t visit. What I am thinking about this year are the divorced moms and dads out there, who may be alone because they do not have their children for the holidays, due to custody arrangements. I know many divorced men and women remarry and go on to have wonderful blended families. But not all do. My twin sister has been divorced for 15 years, never remarried. This year she did not see her daughter for Thanksgiving, and will not see her for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. The reasons for this are too complicated for this blog. You always assume if someone has children they see them on the holidays, but that is not always the case. My sister will spend Christmas Day with me and my family, but will be alone on Christmas Eve. She does not want to come with me to my in-laws. (our parents are both deceased) If you know someone who may be in this position, possibly you could invite them for a drink or dessert. I know some people do not mind being alone for the holidays, but it doesn’t hurt to reach out to someone anyway, just in case they do want company, even just for an hour or two.

    • California35 says:

That is a nice thing to keep in mind American Idiot.

Many times I could have spend Christmas eve or day alone. Some of those times there were people I could hang out with, family or friends, but not pleasant to be with. Luckily there was always someone or a family that would invite me, and made me feel at home. That was very sweet, and I always remember that. Some times the people who you least expect it, need some company. We need to reach out…

    • quincyil says:

I will keep this in mind. I always pay attention to people around me and even if someone refuses to come to my house when I know they will be alone, I call them just to make sure they remember that they can come over anytime.

      • Adgirl says:

My first alone Christmas after the divorce was spent with my best friend. We grilled steaks and baked potatoes then went to The English Patient. We made an anti holiday so we didn’t think too much about our kids being with their “other” family”.

        • California35 says:

Oh yeah, going to the movies is one of my favorites also. Acting like it isn’t a holiday at all, but just a day off to enjoy doing things we like 🙂

        • quincyil says:

Lynn was mentioning that she wanted to have some topics for the holidays as the Bravo shows will be sparce. On Thanksgiving, Lynn was here with some board members and I will come on Christmas and Christmas Eve to chat with anyone who wants to chat.

          • California35 says:

            I will be here!! 🙂

I have this Friday and Monday off, I will be going to the future in laws Friday night, but that is the only plan I have to leave the house. I want to take time to take care of some very important cleaning and re-aranging in the house, but also some R&R. Where this site comes in 🙂

            • Buffywood says:

What a great thought American Idiot.

You don’t have to worry about my ex-husband, he will be here with us for Christmas. We alternate with Tiffany and on the years that I have her, he come up to spend the holidays with us. We have one of those 1 in a 1,000 relationships where we are still very good friends. We vacation together a few times a year and it makes things wonderful for out daughter. My boyfriend on the other had struggles with it at times.

              • American Idiot says:

That is great you do that Buffy. It’s not an easy thing to accomplish. My sister also used to spend part of some holidays with her ex and his new family, for several years in fact. She did it because she thought it was important for her daughter to see them all getting along. This past year has held some difficulties for my sister and her daughter, which resulted in her daughter going to live with her father. Everyone has adjusted, althought it was hard for my sister. Then, out of the blue my sister’s ex send her an e mail telling her she is no longer invited to spend any holiday with them ever again. That’s why she will be alone this year. Hard not to be bitter about it.

          • AZ Girl says:

I will be cooking all day Christmas but will check in between meals.

  25. T-REX says:

Camillizilla claims that her “meal-ticket”, I mean husband, wanted her to be on the show so he could run off to the other side of the country to get as far away as possible as to not have to deal wither her, oops I mean star in Broadway show. But I remember that when they were searching for cast members for the show that Mr. Grammer did not want his wife to be on the show, she wanted to do the show to be a “star” herself. Hmmmmmm! With all her lies and half-truths, and half hearing abilities makes you wonder if he didn’t try to shield her from the divorce being played out so publicly. Then he probably thought, what the heck I have had to live with this crazy bitch for 13 years, let everyone else see the hell I have been through.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Yes – having your husband “lobby” for you to be on a show you really don’t want to be on because you are a private person has more elements of lying than anyone can justify as truthful. Camille’s whole life is a lie so I guess it doesn’t really matter what she says or does.

  26. Adgirl says:

@California35, @LynnnSoCal How are you guys surviving the rain so far???

    • California35 says:

Well, the walks with my boboo at night are being affected. My poor dog has been deprived, and we only go outside when she absolutely has to go. I do try to make it up by playing with her in the house, but even she is a bit lazy on the rainy days.

Other than that, the drives to and from work have been fine. I am in a heated office all day, and if I stay in I am not affected at all. Thank goodness. Now if you ask me how I was affected by the rain growing up, it would be a total different story.

    • LynnnSoCal says:

I’m loving it! We really need it. Unfortunately, there seem to be a lot
of people on the road who just seem to go competely mental when they’ve got to drive in rain. I don’t get it! It’s water folks, what would they do with snow? I’m using the time to cook and wrap presents. Also visit the blogs. Enjoying the time off.

  27. Adgirl says:

If Kelsey Grammer did indeed believe that getting Camille a spot on RHBH would keep her busy so he could A) slink off to the escape hatch, and/or B) reveal what an awful c#nt she is, then it was not a well thought out plan.
Camille’s presence on RH only reminds me that Kelsey must be a complete windbag bore himself. Why did he marry her? He must have loved her. But what was lovable about her? It says a lot about him that he found her amazing enough to marry her and stay married for so long.
I have not heard one interesting or humorous thing out of Camille’s mouth. Nothing. I have handbags with more personality than Camille Grammer. They were married for a long time – what 13-14 yrs?? What did they talk about all day?? They could not possibly be having sex all of the time. Please. Even with Viagra there are times you actually have to spend with your spouse.
Instead of distracting Camille, or exonerating him, RH just reminds us all daily about what a louse he is and what whiney pretentious waste of human life she is.

    • California35 says:

I think they spend a lot of time apart, between his work and vacations. He started on a show very temporary. It didn’t suceed, and even he said that he knew it would not last, and that he shouldn’t have done it.I am not sure if before, during or after the show was done. I watched it, and it was ok, like other shows that are just ok, but also ok to cancel. Earlier, he was on X-man— I was very surprised to hear him there (since you couldn’t see his face). Any ways, my point is that he is always doing something weather we see him on our screens or not, so I am sure they didn’t spen that much time together.

      • quincyil says:

I think he’s going to be on a new show that has something to do with Chicago, but I doubt they will film in Chicago.

I saw them filming the show “Providence” which was on NBC. They filmed several times a year outdoors to make the show more realistic.

        • Adgirl says:

He is starring in a new drama as the mayor of Chicago who is secretly suffering from some sort of debilitating memory problem. His new production company put the series up for a kind of auction and there was a lot of competition from cable and network tv so it must be good.
If he is a method actor then he can “forget” the last 14 years of his life. “Who me? I surely never married her!”

        • California35 says:

Oh yeah? I will watch it 🙂

    • TLM says:

I never knew much about Kelsey personally but watched his shows. I have the feeling he was busy working for much of the time they were married, and of course he had his issues with drugs. When he was on Frasier, he ran his production company (which, despite what she says, I don’t think she had much to do with). I don’t think the marriage deteriorated overnight, and maybe part of the reason he stayed longer than he wanted to was the kids. It is hard for me to understand not so much why he was with Camille per se, but why Kelsey was drawn to that type of woman. Camille was not the first stripper-type he was with. It was so much at odds with his Frasier Crane character, the intellectual who liked other intellectual women. I think we all thought he was like Frasier in real life. I never would have pictured him doing drugs either. But he liked women like Camille and also had a very tumultous life before becoming famous. From Wikipedia:

“Grammer’s family life has been plagued by tragedies. In 1968, when Grammer was thirteen years old, his father, whom he had seen only twice since his parents’ divorce, was killed on the front lawn of his home in the U.S. Virgin Islands.[3] In 1975, his younger sister, Karen, was raped and murdered[6] after being abducted outside a Red Lobster restaurant in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where her boyfriend worked.[7] In 1980, his fraternal twin half-brothers were killed in a scuba diving accident.[8][9] Grammer has sworn to prevent his sister’s murderer, Freddie Lee Glenn, from being paroled;[10] in July 2009, Glenn was denied parole at least in part due to a letter Grammer submitted to the parole board.[11][12]”

Kelsey was born to a singer and a musician and coffee shop owner, however, he attended high school at Pine Crest in Florida, the same exclusive school Bethenny Frankel attended. Grammer then went on to spend 2 years at Juilliard. Not sure how his parents afforded that, or whether they were on scholarships.

      • California35 says:

        Wow – those are tragedies.

I didn’t know he had the drinking or drug problems until lately because of his wife. I hope he is not into either one now….Look what that gave him — this wife. It explains why he married her, not that he was “up here” and she “down here”, but it just doesn’t seem like a match. In the end, they dealt with each other’s problems (his addictions, and HER personality), so I won’t say poor Camille. Besides she got a LOT in return. Now about the children, whenever someone mentions them here, I cringe. I just don’t know what to say about them, but have a few things that bother me about the whole thing regarding them. She didn’t have them and she is not raising them. Is it all about $ or did she really want them? Did she ask for them or did he? I hope that we are wrong on that part about Camille. I hope she does love them and put their interest high in the list of her priorities. I hope they will be fine.

BTW – I want to clear up that I am not criticizing taking a surrogate or adopting or anything like that. If someone can’t have children and want them…I say go for it…

        • LynnnSoCal says:

I’ve got a very suspicious nature. It’s my opinion, however misguided that some types of women have children to guarantee future income. My heart breaks for the kids, they become victims. That said, I hope I’m wrong or Kelsey steps up and asks for full custody.

          • vilzvet says:

I finally got around to reading the People with Camille’s interview. She says the kids do not even realize yet that Kelsey is not coming home to them since he is still in NY doing the show. The article paints her are the perfect victim and Kelsey cannot be happy about it. She claims she did everything she could to save the marriage but he was firm that it was over. I do agree the photos of him and Kayte leaving the diamond store in NY while the divorce is still ongoing was rather rushing things.

      • Adgirl says:

Tragedy can do strange things to people. What a terrible string of sadness. The drugs and whoring don’t surprise or bother me much. He is fortunate to have a great talent to channel his feelings into.
However, I don’t know if having tragedy in your life makes you crave marrying strippers.

And, yes I think you have to be somewhat intelligent to “be” Frazier Crane for years, or do Shakespeare. So, that is what bugs me about the Grammers – Camille is so dull and lifeless except when being catty. Frankly, I think she is majorly stupid (regardless of books she reads or classes she has taken). What is there to fall in love with? It’s a mystery to me.

You know I was thinking that he was deep
in the disease of addiction. He certainly wasn’t thinking with the” big head”. Based on that and his penchant for strippers was love even part of the deal? When someone is that involved with drugs and alcohol, that is the center of their universe. I think when he got sober he got a rude reality check. Still, just because he’s not drinking doesn’t make him any less of an idiot. He doesn’t have marry them, especially as he’s not even divorced yet!

@ SC Even if an addict is not using there is a possibility w/o theraphy/grp support that the addict can b a dry drunk…IE still functioning in a clouded thinking way….that is how K could have linked up w/C……& stayed until he just couldn’t any longer. I remember when C was going /showing the H property & noted the 2nd Master Brm (on the far side of the house)as if this was always the situation b/c of snoring etc.Between work commitments etc I don’t imagine K had 2 spend 2much time w/C as of the lkast yrs. The other aspect is K has aged out of sex being the most important/obvious value 4 a partner, note his interview while in NY & saying how imp it is 2 b married to someone nice/kind….or some sentiment similar..IMHO

That’s so true about dry drunks. Dated one for years! I’m so happy to be out of it! Still, Kelsey is involved with someone his daughters age. What kind of conversations are they having? • vilzvet says:

The yogurts of today are unbelievable. Lemon Chiffon, Cheesecake, my favorite Peach, and Caramel, among many others. It used to be just Strawberry and Vanilla.

    • TLM says:

Maybe I should check that out, since at the moment I am tempted to raid the bakery section at my local Trader Joe’s. Desperate for portion control advice from anyone on the board…I don’t seem to be doing too well with it.

      • Adgirl says:

Stay away from TJ!! The food is delish and wholesome but high calorie.

OMG I am on Weight Watchers online and it’s awesome. I am a small person so I never really to lose many pounds but it is hard for me to judge on my own which foods will work in a diet. I exercise (walking, gardening) everyday but my metabolism is super slow so I have to watch my weight or my hips plump up overnight.
I have figured out via WW filling foods I like and snacks. For example I really like lean meat and it fills me up. It also doesn’t “cost” a lot of points so I can have a huge amount of chicken breast or turkey or a good size beef round steak or pork chop for dinner. I stay away from most starches like bread & pasta because I will still be hungry and I blew all of my points. I have mini red potatoes or popcorn if I need a starch fix. For sweets I have 10 cal jello or sugar free pudding. Grapes are a miracle.

Personally it’s easiest to just stay away from packaged foods. So, if you are a white person you will have to turn in your can opener to Phaedra.

        • T-REX says:

I am a WW follower of many years. Yo-Yo dieted for years but every time I went back to WW I did very well. I used to weigh over 200 pounds, was a size 20 through WW I am now a size 6 and 130 pounds which I have maintained for 5 years! I love the WW online tools they really help me track what I am eating.

          • California35 says:

T-REX – Good job!!! I wish I could loose and keep it off. I have tried diferent things that work, but then I go back to my old eating habits 😦 I was doing very well while reading Bethenny’s book. It didn’t feel like a diet, and I cooked every night. It is just hard to cook every night and eat at good times. I lost waight slowly and kept it off for as long I was doing that.
Years ago, I did WW and was very successful.

            • T-Rex says:

The new points system from WW is terrific! I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to make a “lifestyle” change in their diet and exercise routines for 2011!

IceNfire – It might also be dangerous. I read that they purposely looked for people with some skating background. Think of the injuries otherwise!!!!

  31. vilzvet says:

I think I’m going to be on a local TV show week after next. We were shopping in the St. James General Store, which happens to be the longest-running and oldest general store in the U.S., and I noticed a lady behind the counter being interviewed. When the guy was finished he asked if I would be willing to answer a few questions and my daughter urged me to say yes. It will be shown in NY on Verizon’s local Channel 1 and the show is called Push Pause. The funny thing is, due to its high monthly cost we just switched to the competition!. But my brother still has Verizon so we’ll go watch it over there.

  36. TLM says:

A relative of mine just discovered RHONYC airing now on NBC at 12 Noon EST during the week, and she’s hooked. It’s pretty funny since what she’s watching is about 3 years old. Today I saw an episode that happened to have so much in it, I didn’t remember it all happened in one show. It was the party at Zarin Fabrics that Kelly & Max attended (where she came in saying, “Hiiiiiiiieeee! Hiiiiieeee!”) and had a pillow fight in (that was also when Brad was fawning over Max, lol), the trip with Jill and Kelly to get Jill’s $16,000 handbag, Bethenny’s taking her baked goods to an A&P and being ignored by customers in the store, Ramona meeting with her skin care people and LuAnn meeting with her co-writer for the etiquette book. And Jill was shown working in Zarin Fabrics and sold two gay guys curtains. I totally forgot all that stuff.

Seeing this episode I realized we weren’t all crazy. Jill did seem at that time to be much nicer and down to earth. When Mario bitched about the tennis match after the fact, she just said ok and said to the camera it was easier to just say ok to him; I don’t think the later Jill would have let it go. Ramona and Mario went on and on about what Simon wore to play tennis, and they did seem way more irritating. And when Kelly and Max had the pillow fight in her store, Jill was mortified and said she would have expected that of little kids, not them. But even after that she was friendly to Kelly and went with her to the handbag place. I think it was later in dispute as to whether Jill paid for that bag, but I don’t think any discount she got was due to Kelly. In other words, I don’t think Jill was trying to be friendly to Kelly in order to get the discount, she was just being nice. Jill was also great as a salesperson at her store. I truly think that’s what she is good at and she should never have gotten away from that. I do think she just got carried away with fame, as Bethenny said, and really became a different person.

I don’t think Kelly says “Hiiiieee!” because she is intimidated by others, as she tried to say on the reunion. She made it sound like she feels she has to say that, or else the women would “bite her head off.” Yet there were many, many scenes on the show where she was greeting people other than the women on the show, especially men who liked her, where she greeted them that way. I think it is what I always thought it was — an affectation and attempt to seem like a little girl. It is Kelly’s version of Camille’s cutesy act put on for men, except that no one is buying what either of them is selling.

    • American Idiot says:

I know you wrote mainly about Jill and Kelly, TLM, but I have to say the scene where Bethenny is in the A&P selling her muffins was sooo funny. The woman who asked her where the rotisserie (sp) chickens were and the man who didn’t want to try a muffin cracked me up. She took it all in stride, and actually had fun with it.

      • TLM says:

I really felt bad for her there. She seemed so disgusted, I thought she was going to start throwing muffins at people. I felt they were turning people off by announcing that the muffins were vegan. People assume vegan food will taste awful and won’t even try things, and it’s so not true. I always wondered how she started the baking business and how come she made the decision to close it down just as it was getting exposure on RHONYC. Ultimately it seems to have been a great move for her, but I have to believe that it was difficult and expensive both to get that business off the ground and to close it down.

    • lillybee says:

Ramona was so right when she told Bethenny that Jill only liked her because she was the underdog. What happened in Season 3 proved this.

  37. California35 says:

TLM – I realized last night that California’s NBC has the NYHW reruns some time in the afternoon. I hit record 😛 I was surprised to see it there at all. I will be watching them now. Whenever someone brings up something from the old seasons, I wish I can watch them again, so now I can 😀

    • TLM says:

I guess local NBC affiliates run it at different times, since ours would be airing at 9am your time.

      • California35 says:

Yeah, I thought we were only off by two or three hours on real time I mean…hhmm

      • kotagirl29 says:

I live in two hours North of Atlanta and it runs at 4 pm here. It has been for months. They had season 1, 2, & parts of other seasons of OC. Season 1 of Atlanta. Season 1 and now season 2 of NY. I haven’t seen NJ yet, but I think they will keep cycling them until everything gets played and they will start over again. It has been interesting. Lots of things that I don’t remember and sometimes, like when I was watching re-runs of BH’s, I think Bravo re-edits. There have been snippets of interviews that I think have been added in after they see what is being said on sites like this. I have seen some episodes quite a few times and there is stuff said that I don’t remember from any of them. But then again maybe its just me.

This is my first time posting to this site. I stumbled across it a few months ago and check it daily. The posts are entertaining and sometimes educational. I have been a fan of the Top Chef, Flipping Out and the Housewives series from day one (and formerly Project Runway). I’d like to say Happy holidays from a “lurker” and hope to start contributing to discussions. BTW, my husband started watching the shows out of support (I watch his MMA shows reluctantly) and he has nicknamed some of the wives to keep up with who is who. He calls Kelly “the crazy tall one”, JZ is the harpy, Luann is man voice, NeNe is Sasquatch, Kim is smokestack and he can’t tell the OC ladies apart:)….it’s not nice but I’m happy he takes the time and makes an effort. We both love Bethenny, Ramona’s a hoot, Alex and Simon, Cynthia, Lisa V, we’re starting to like NeNe this season and feel that Kyle treats Kim poorly. We come from the school where non-blood family members cannot talk smack about our family without being taken to task. Again, happy holidays!

    • California35 says:

Happy Holidays to you too. I had been “lurking” for a long time before posted here. I still feel like a newbe….Welcome!! I like that your husband watches the shows with you, my BF would get too irritated. She does know I like to watch and is glad I found this blog.

    • AZ Girl says:

Welcome SoutheastVA. This is a great group and glad you came out of lurkdom.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Happy Holidays to you! My husband pretends he doesn’t watch either but judging by the questions he asks me – he is watching! lol

Please tell dear hubby that Sasquatch is Kelly Bensimon, or, to be totally correct, “Jill’s Trained Sasquatch.” We also think of her as our pet moron, Kellamity, Kellidiot, and KooKooPuff. Nene – well, I think I am the only one with a nickname for Nene and it is Geraldine. If you aren’t old enough to remember Flip Wilson, you won’t know why, but if you are old enough, well she’s a dead ringer for Geraldine.

      Welcome to the fun house!

      • SoutheastVA says:

Ha Ha! I’ll let him know that he needs to swap Sasquatch from NeNe to Kelly. I’m old enough to know who Geraldine is. That is too funny. Oh, I think he has a secret crush on Sonja. Thanks to all for welcoming me.

So… I think I will be blogging on Stargate Universe starting with the second half of this season. I loved the Farscape Board and when trolls and Syfy took it away from us, I was very sad. I loved the off topic, but still very relevant posts by so many people. I will sign up after New Years. If Star Trek movies ever come back, I will include them. Great job Quincy! The class didn’t act up at all while the substitute was in charge.
It so pisses me off that SGU was cancelled. I feel like they just started to hit their stride and it was getting really good. It seems Syfy is starting to distance itself from typical science fiction which is sad. Shame it can’t be picked up by a pay channel like Starz that is just starting to increase their original programming. I’m still holding out hope for a third SG-1 movie. That would be nice.

      • quincyil says:

Wow… I did not know that it was cancelled.

      • quincyil says:

Thank you for this information. I can’t believe yet, but I see that you are correct.

        • ches says:

You’re welcome. I really think the beginning of the end was the move to Tuesday. Going against the last few episodes of DWTS and then Election Night didn’t help at all. I also think the fact that it was so different from
SG-1 and SGA stopped some former fans from watching. I think if they had given it a chance they would have liked it.

    • jezzibel says:

Mike Dopud who played Varro on SGU is so awesome on twitter

    • jezzibel says:

And I’m not happy about Syfy’s re-imaging of BBC’s Being Human it is an amazing show and did’nt need to be Americanized, the only hope for it is if they use the title and the premise but have its own take on plots, character growth, development, then I think I might be able to watch it with out thinking its a bad rip off of the original.

If I described wife #3 for you, you’d accuse me of making things up… that’s how absurd it is. It’s always the same exact bs every single time: skanky damsels-in-distress who want to better themselves. Their attempts at divorce are a farce, like something out of a Noel Coward play. Well, more like an episode of “Sordid Lives”. LOL

Bro has never experienced tragedy, nor ever been on drugs. Some men are just idiots. Women like Camille are marital con-artists, and there’s a sucker born every minute.

This is exactly how my Sister-out-law keeps snaggin men! She finds damaged men with money, Husbands 2 and 3 left her plenty, but she has already run through that. Husband 4 she thought had money but she has run through his money and they are now on the verge of Bankruptcy and he makes more than 200K a year! She is now reaching her expiration age where men are no longer drawn to her antics. My opinion, once you get to be 45 with no skills or education those large “paycheck earners” are going to look for a “younger edition” no matter how much silicone and botox you shove in your body. I love the Sordid Lives reference I hope that they are going to have another season of this great show! Maybe Brother-boy can finally get out of the Institution and have a career as a Tammy Wynette impersonator at a great Club.

      • T-REX says:

I totally agree but now men with money aren’t interested in “used” baggage with all that plastic, that both Danielle and Camillizilla have morphed into. That’s why both are hanging around with younger boy-toys who are looking for fame or money by servicing, I mean dating them.

    • AZ Girl says:

And to QuincyIl especially for all her hard work keeping the blog going while Lynn was away. A big Thank you!

  53. quincyil says:

    Thanks everyone…

You know Bravo, Syfy, and NBC are all a part of NBC Universal and Comcast purchased everything. the Head of NBC Universal is going to leave and I bet the cancellations of a lot of shows has something to do with this reoganization under Comcast. Comcast will look at the bottom dollar. I think USA network is a part of this too.

We are going to end up with Bravo Real Housewives in every city because they don’t pay the ladies or give them any rights to residual payments. All the profits go to Bravo. If the women sells any books, Bravo take a cut. Bravo really owns those women because they can fire them and the women disappear from the planet. How many arm bracelets did Lynn Curtin sell this month?

I think Comcast is an awful company which could care less if people have good servic.
I wish we could send Comcast to China. I honestly do.

    • ches says:

Comcast is the absolute worst. Unfortunately, Comcast has a monopoly in the city where I live. Go into the county and you have a choice, but inside the city limits it’s comcast or a dish.

  54. icantstandthetoxicity says:

EXCLUSIVE: Kelsey Grammer Seeks To Protect Pension & Business Accounts From Camille
Kelsey Grammer has filed legal docs in his ongoing divorce with estranged wife Camille Grammer, seeking to protect his retirement and business accounts from any unauthorized withdrawals by his soon to be ex-wife.

The actor/producer formally filed the documents in Los Angeles Superior Court, naming his various pension plans and business accounts as claimants in his divorce, and by doing this, the parties won’t be able to make any payments without proper notice, or until there is a divorce judgment.

Kelsey named Equity League, Screen Actors Guild, AFTR Health & Retirement Funds, Screen Actors Guild, Producers Pension Plan, Gramnet Inc (Kelsey & Camille’s production company), and the Directors Guild of America.

The legal docs state that Kelsey is seeking “an order determining the nature and extent of both employee and non-employee spouse’s interest in employee benefits under the plan, an order restraining claimant from making benefit payments to employee spouse pending the determination and disposition of non-employees spouse’s interest if any, in employee’s benefits under the plan.”

The former couple married on August 2, 1997 and Camille filed for divorce on June 28th, 2010.

    • Adgirl says:

      Here we go!

I have been wondering about why, if Kelsey was seriously considering ending the marriage before he went to NY, why he didn’t quietly take take legal or financial steps earlier to protect his assests and himself.
Did he take any important documents or move accounts around before he flew the coop? What about the home xxx video collection?
      Seems so sloppy of him.

      • quincyil says:

It’s going to get very messy.

      • Had Enough! says:

That motion is just standard procedure. First, it would have been virtually impossible for him to hide most of his assets – lots of it is real estate, moving that kind of money and investments takes a lot of time. Second, she now replies with a motion for temporary support and maintenance. Third, if he did hide assets, her lawyers would be spending a ton of time and money digging them up. He might be able to hide some, but 58 mill is hard to bury.

        • AZ Girl says:

Standard procedure to freeze all accounts until the divorce is settled.
Also if the money is taken out of the accounts and over state line it could be considered a fraudulent transfer.

          • T-REX says:

I believe what this motion also grants, that when they divorce Camillizilla cannot have any monies from future earnings once they are divorced.

    • Kansas Girl says:

So she’s not an employee of their company, since there’s a non-employee and that would not be Kelsey. Caught!

      • BessiB says:

I don’t think that is what it is saying. It refers to the retirement plans – how much of an interest, if any, the non-employee spouse has in the employee’s plan.

    • boston02127 says:

Too bad Camille’s friend Allison didn’t see that coming.

    • AZ Girl says:

Kelsey is a dumb shit for not having a pre-nup.

    • BessiB says:

According to the CA SOS, Grammnet Inc was set up in 1990 and Grammnet Productions was 1995 – both before the marriage. So I don’t know that it is technically correct to call Grammnet Inc “Kelsey & Cammille’s production company.

(California is ridiculous – they do not have current officers and directors as part of the pubic record. But interestingly, there is a company that was set up in July of 2010 – Grammnet NH, Inc. Same agent, but different entity address.)

“When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years.”

Lisa seems an obvious care-giver type.. letting even the hapless Cedric mooch off of her. Her kids are grown and living away from home. A Christmas-Housewife Reality Dream

Posting first thing in the morning even though I know we are going to go to new blog soon, but I had to share this with the hope of erasing it from my brain. I actually had a HoWife dream last night. In the dream, I was staying with the two pre-teen children of some friends who went off on a mini-vacation. The boy was seriously ill but they needed a break and as he was stable and they would not be far away, they decided it would be alright to go away for a couple of days. He was in a hospital bed in their large rec room, and I was kept busy taking care of him and trying to keep the room in order. All of a sudden, I realize that CAROLINE MANZO and another woman were in the room talking. I shrieked CAROLINE MANZO and then ran over to her but mindful of the potential reaction of my IHJZ friends, I hesitated. Would you all freak out and hate me if I hugged her or greeted her warmly? So please don’t hate me (hey, it was liking I was hugging Jill Zaaaaaaaaaarin, which, I agree, would be unforgiveable), but in the dream, I decided to give a big hug and she was very friendly to me. We started to chat but unfortunately, because the windows were open, the entire neighborhood had heard me shriek CAROLINE MANZO and people came running. Caroline slipped out a back window and hid in the bushes. I tried to get people to leave. I found a Santa suit in the closet and gave it to her to disguise herself. I know, I know. A clown suit would have been more appropriate. But hey, this was an unscripted reality dream. Eventually, she got away and I went back to the rec room only to find out that I needed to call 911 because the boy was having a medical crisis.

Now I am off to call Dr. PYHU, because obviously I need to check into her clinic….

    • Blue Sky says:

Had Enough, this is dream needs to psychoanalyzed stat. You will need the opinions of at least 10 board members, then pick the one you like the best.

Okay, here’s my take on it. You are psychic, not like Allison Dubois crazy demon psycho, but the nicer psychic kind. So, Caroline Manzo is not so bad, she is sending you good vibes. However, while you are distracted by Bravo ho’wives sh*t, your best friend’s son takes a turn for the worse. Prescription: it’s time to get back to the people that matter the most in your real life. When they are all okay, please come back to LynFam & continue to entertain us with your posts. Uh oh, just thought of something else. Caroline may be tricking you into not posting all the crap the NJ ho’wives get into, especially the Teresa kind. Meditate, review your real life status, and please come back to post when you can.

Peace be with you…and with your family.

      • Blue Sky says:

lol, still can’t get that image of Caroline Mazo putting on a santa suit & that’s how she gets away from the screaming mob…ho ho ho!

    • error 404 says:

Ok, this is what I gleam from it:

      1. You are a nurturer/care-giver type, concerned with the well fair of others (taking care of friend’s sick son, finding santa suit to hide caro, etc…)
      2. You have really bad taste in housewives. LOL I won’t judge you, but please, Caro Manzo? I beg you to reconsider. LOL
      3. There is something/someone in your life that you feel you are neglecting. Subconscious or just nagging, but now you’re even dreaming about your neglect. Maybe you can’t help this person or thing, but feel guilty anyway because of #1 above.

It’s always an emotional juggling act: it’s great to help people, but some people just live in a constant state of needing help.

    Good morning everyone~
Just caught a bit of cartoon about our housewives tonight. Looks hysterical & I cannot wait to watch & laugh.
Just got my mama’s Christmas presents yesterday~we will be spending Christmas Eve with her again this year. She usually insists on cooking everything & since she has turned 80 has decided to let us order Chinese in. lol This will be so much better so I don’t have to worry about her overdoing it. It’s just me & Allan & Mama but we appreciate her & love her so much. She is also a fabulous cook/chef lol.
Finally heard from Allan’s brother for the first time in 8 months. He is so happy.
And I am still a little wary, but thrilled for my hubby.
    Q & Lynn & Family Here~
You all are the best people on the planet..;) Thank You All So Much For Sharing
    Your Lives With Us.
Peace Love & Laughter To All & May We Feel The True Meaning Of The Holidays 🙂

    • error 404 says:

My mom’s in her 80s too, and we always go to hers for Christmas eve. We do the cooking now, but she micro manages everything and so my “gift” every year now is not to blow up at all of the criticism. LOL

      • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

We may share the same mama lol
I do everything she tells me even at 53!
The more we try to help her the madder she gets so I just accept & do the peaceful thang~;)

  75. TLM says:

This morning I think I just saw the 20th commercial where another store put its own words to the tune of “Jingle Bells.” I shut the TV off. I think the ad agencies of the US need to get a little more creative.

  76. HD says:

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh I’m watching TopChef right now. Jamie is making me mad!

    • Rabble Rouser says:

I know, I think Blase was way to subtle with his prodding her. I would have said something like ‘What were you serving? Duck……and HIDE?’. “The fact that you are still here leaves me in STITCHES”

  77. HD says:

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh Baby Jesus loves me! I am off work today and the Scary Island Real Housewife is on!! This is the best gift ever!

  79. vilzvet says:

Heads up…as I’m making a pumpkin pecan pie the “Housewives Overboard” episode is on….ah what entertainment! Great to hear lines like Ramona’s: “If it’s not about Jill she’s not interested”…”If she’s not controlling the guest list she’s not interested” (paraphrasing). Yep, you got her number Ramona!

    • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

      I am watching too~
Should bake something but not sure what..

    • Blue Sky says:

Pumpkin pecan pie? Can you share the recipe. I’ve been getting recipes off the internet, like this site for pumpkin bread recipe

It came out really good with walnuts (big pieces, not chopped) added in. I baked some in a large muffin tin, and in regular sized loaf pans.

I’m thinking of trying the same recipe, but with more nuts (pecans & walnuts) & chopped dried fruit (apricots, prunes, pineapple, etc.) tossed in.

Relatives are coming over soon, still have to get the dang ornaments on the tree. It looks so good with just the lights ( and me so lazy!).

      • vilzvet says:

Blue sky, THAT is my website that I go to all the time (allrecipes)! The recipe I just made is “Pecan Pumpkin Pie I”, it is the first time making it but just took it out and smells great.

  80. WindyCityWondering says:

Good morning to all! I love the night time chatter – how do you ladies stay up into the wee hours? Top Chef was weird last night – how could any of these folks not bring their A game? Also watching Scary Island – what a treat! It smells like cat pee….

  81. HD says:

When Kelly gets the giftbag from Bethanny I always die laughing!!

  82. boston02127 says:

Watching RHONY again makes me despise Kelly even more than I could think possible. I also hate Jill for defending Kelly. I don’t see how anyone could watch this and not see what a horrible person Kelly is. Kelly is so jealous of Bethenny it just oozes out of her. Kelly’s all over the map trying to get every hateful word in towards Bethenny. I feel sorry for Kelly’s kids.

    • boston02127 says:

Also, it shockes me that Kelly came home from this trip and cried to anyone who would listen about her being bullied. She’s the bully. She’s a nasty mean bully.

      • HD says:

Right! That made me so mad! How could she possibly claim she was bullied? She started everything! Another delusional housewife like Camille.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Good times! Bravo is giving us a present…now if Camille could take hostess lessons from Ramona maybe BH wouldn’t be such a catbox (I’m sticking with the cat pee theme)! Kelly’s behavior at dinner could be used in a PSA about bullying…

  83. boston02127 says:

Sonja is a better person than me. I wouldn’t of tried to defuse Kelly, I would of quietly egged her on.

  84. boston02127 says:

It’s almost noon and I haven’t moved off the couch. I’m still in my jams, watching RHONY & being lazy and loving it. I did get up for a bowl of Ben & Jerry’s Cherry Garcia then ran right back on the couch.

    • OneMoreInBoston says:

girl- you need to recharge you’re batteries and take it easy…besides it’s a perfect snowy home bound day.

I’m doing the same thing as you, but I had Brigham’s limited edition Peppermint Stick ice cream for breakfast. (No calories if it’s xmas week right?)

So don’t hate me because I’m beautiful, hate me because my ice cream is way yummier than yours. lol!

      • boston02127 says:

OMIB—I added a half of a jar of maraschino cherries, chocolate syrup and a banana. Breakfast of champions!

        • OneMoreInBoston says:

you have chocolate syrup? AND maraschino cherries?
hold on- putting on the snow boots- be right over

          arghh…too much effort…

I’ll just have to eat mine naked. (The ice cream- not me)

        • Debbie says:

I don’t feel alone now. I have been doing the same thing. I hnow I need a shower but I’m in no hurry.

  85. boston02127 says:

    • vilzvet says:

LOL, she’s right! It’s on NBC daily in NY at 2 p.m., plus Bravo is giving us the gift of an all-day marathon. Stay in bed, Jill, it’s only going to get worse!

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Hope Alex and Cindy team up because they are both working mothers who aren’t afraid of their life choices. And that Cindy calls out the crazy KKB.

    • Rabble Rouser says:

You know what would make that Sunday taste more Christmas-y? Bailey’s Irish Cream over it……

I have a bottle chilling in the fridge that I am waiting to crack open after the kids are in bed tomorrow night- while I watch hubby build a toy kitchen as the kids are asleep.

My hubby’s side is Italian so tomorrow we are having a big seafood feast., except for the baby because she is allergic.

  88. WindyCityWondering says:

After watching RHONY – projection comes to mind. Jill can’t take her anger out on Bethenny anymore so she is transferring them all to Alex! As much as we snark about all the ladies of Bravo – Jill is still the one I can honestly say I hate! And knowing that the day is one with her behavior front and center and that it makes her mad is even better than ICE CREAM!

    • OneMoreInBoston says:

plus you won’t have to go on the ubiquitous New Year’s diet like me.

Anger AND no ice cream- the best diet ever

      • WindyCityWondering says:

        lol – I am not a baker, I am a cook!
Yesterday it was cabbage rolls (for my husband), lasagna (for my oldest) and today lobster mac n cheese (for my youngest). For myself I ordered prime rib dinner for Christmas day so I don’t have to cook!

        • OneMoreInBoston says:

ok- I’m way past boston’s chocolate syrup-I’m putting on my snow boots- be right over!

(am I the only one that sings “I’m too sexy for my boots, I’m too sexy for my boots” , a la Right Said Fred? because they are really not too sexy at all. Makes me look like I have cankles. ;-( )

          • WindyCityWondering says:

come on over – now my youngest is vascilating between lobster mac n cheese and lobster risotto! or tomorrow which will be dibs night (leftovers of all of the above).

        • Debbie says:

Baking is a science. Cooking is an art. I wish I was better at both.

    • TLM says:

For me Camille has way bypassed Jill. I’m watching her now gyrating courtside with the Lakers and the Kings mascot — isn’t this the woman who said to Kyle she was “so shy”? The shrinking violet also said on this episode that whenever her husband could get courtside tickets, she would go. Does anyone really think this is about Camille’s love of the game, or her wanting to be seen by as many people as possible?? What a phony. No more Kelsey Konnections for Kamille.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

No it is about “look at me”!
Camille is seriously within striking distance of Jill but Jill is still more devious, underhanded and spreads the hate more. Because Camille is now getting real payback via a nasty divorce I have to say Jill is still queen of mean.

        • twoile says:

@WCW may the powers that be not strike me dead 4saying that I think Shill is a bit brighter than Camiltoe & that makes her more effective with her hatefilled diatribes etc.

  89. lillybee says:

Watching season 2, I noticed that Bethenny had great relationships with Ramona and Alex. Also, Jill really dislikes Ramona. I don’t think that those two were ever friends.

Real Housewives of New York Season 4 Premiere Feb. 11
    23 Dec, 2010 | Author: admin | No Comments »
Simon van Kempen confirmed on twitter the Real Housewives of New York will premiere on Thursday, February 11, 2011. Thursday is important, speculation is Bravo does not expect the New York franchise to score high ratings without Bethenny Frankel, as reported by Reality Tea. Thursday night is known for having stiff competition from the “A-List” programs such as Grey’s Anatomy.

The Sunday night spot will go to The Real Housewives of Orange County , a confirmed ratings leader. No date for season 6 has been announced by Bravo as of this date.

Hi all! Quincy, you were absolutely awesome as first mate this week! I am caught up, and just want to say to each of you that I hope your holiday celebrations are what you want them to be…from happy solitude to joyful family gatherings.
Quicny, like you I am a grandma, and the greatest pleasure I have is spending time with my kids and those sweet little boys. We are about the same age as well…I am 56…your energy is inspiring to me. I am a caregiver to my mom and we visit my dad whenever possible (he is cared for in a nursing facility). Mom is driving me ’round the bend this week – I suspect she is anxious about me traveling. My brother is coming in from another state to stay with her until I get back Monday. I am lucky that both my sister and my brother “spell me”, otherwise I would go nuts. She is in dementia and tends to perseverate on various issues (all the while forgetting that she has asked the same question 15 times in the past hour).
Boston, reading about your loss recently of your beloved mother, I remind myself how fortunate I am to have her in my life. I thank you for your grace in your pain. You are showing me a better path. I try so hard to value our time together despite the challenges of dementia.
Error 404, you have given me many a good laugh in your blogs as well as here on Lynn’s board. Keep it up – we need your insights.
This morning, I watched the RHONY reruns…and visited Krazy Kelly Island once again. Kelly is really disturbing to watch even now, after all these months. I am wondering what antics we will be subjected to in the new season.
I’ve set the DVR for tonight, and I will read the recaps later. My son does not have cable (as a computer whiz he gets all of his tv off the internet and bypasses cable fees). I will have a “Christmas” present waiting for me when I get back on Monday. Until then, I will rely on you all to keep me in the loop.
Merry, merry Christmas to each and every one of you! I’ll enjoy reading the blog in Seattle.

    • BessiB says:

The RHONY reruns I get here on NBC is season 2 which I taped to watch during the holidays, since I use to be a “I am not going to pay for cable” snob before I got an HDTV and had only seen the internet clips. So I got to the the ‘Kelly vs Bethenny’ all the way through. Ramona & Mario were SO cute together – gossiping together & busting Jill’s chops over putting together a tennis game over the dinner table. I did not know that Kelly irritated Romona by writing an article that Kelly was introducing all the HWs to the fashion world.

    • HD says:

I wonder what lifestyle decision she made that they seem to be hyping so much…

      • zoekayla says:

Did I read that she is bisexual? I think that’s it…not such a big deal, but adds to her “story”

        • zoekayla says:

oops…maybe that is the new HW on OC…sorry

          • Adgirl says:

Yeah that would be a little much to add a gay/bi to two fanchises at once. Not that I have a problem with people who are gay/bi, but I really don’t want to hear Andy bringing up “swimming in the lady pool” every week.

    • Debbie says:

This has probably already been stated but, Now I understand completely why Kelsey would have wanted her to do the HW show. He now has some public support during a divorce that he had already planned to do. He is showing the world what he has been dealing with and why he cannot stand to be around her. Maybe even why she shouldn’t have the kids (If he really wants them).

  93. Scorpiosue1102 says:

Looks like Kelsey is cutting Camille from the money train.

    From Pop Sugar:

The divorce between Kelsey and Camille Grammer may have started as a private matter, but the split is growing more acrimonious by the day.

The 55-year-old actor, who recently proposed to 29-year-old Kayte Walsh despite still being legally married to Camille, is now trying to block his estranged wife’s access to his business and retirement accounts.

RadarOnline.com reports that Kelsey filed documents in Los Angeles Superior Court that will block Camille from accessing Kelsey’s assets from the Screen Actors Guild, the Directors Guild of America, Equity League, AFTR Health & Retirement Funds, Producers Pension Plan, and Gramnet Inc, the couple’s production company.

Camille, who appears on ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ recently disclosed that, despite the difficult nature of their split, she hopes to remain civil with her ex.

“I hope when the dust settles we can remain friends. I also would like to continue to work with my husband. I think he is a very talented man,” she told the New York Post.

The couple, who married in 1997, have two children together. Kelsey Grammer’s marriage to Walsh with be his fourth.

    • butterisafruit says:

I find some of these press releases amusing. Whatever they quote her saying is not really what’s going on in her head. Kelsey is probably having his snail mail checked for anthrax.

He should try to get custodial custody. Growing up with that woman as a mother will be like having Joan Crawford as one. I’d get my children away from her fast. As soon as those babies are able to talk she’s going to be pitting them against daddy and his new wife. And that girlfriend had better watch her back. I can see Camielle calling her friends and work place. Look how she’s hung onto Kyle and the pounding she’s giving HER.
She’s retaliating by taking business away from Kyle’s husband she’s probably doing something similar with the New York Twinkie.

  94. Adgirl says:

Does anyone else think Kelsey has been leaking these pix of Camilles?
I still can’t get over the one where she looks like she’s giving herself a bikini wax on the vent.
Dang, I crack myself up. 🙂

  96. nancy says:

    • OneMoreInBoston says:

@nancy-I saw the posts that you were referring to, and I also was a little concerned.

Noelle is taking care of two sisters , or a mother and a sister with cancer, (so sorry Noelle, I am not sure which) plus has cancer herself. When she goes for chemo, because she is diabetic, personally, I’ve never asked her, but personally I think it affects her more acutely.

IMHO- plus the holidays are hard on a lot of people, myself included. When I went to the supermarket (what is with supermarkets?) I burst into tears when I saw the olive oil my mother preferred on sale.

Christmas- it brings back powerful memories.

I hope Noelle knows that she may slip, but she’ll never fall- we’ll be here to catch her. Sending her love and surrounding with a white light of healing and protection.

It’s nice of you to be worried about her, that’s what a community is all about.

Camille never was a “very good friend” of Kyle’s so the intentional wounding of Kyle is not as deep as Jill’s onscreen and off screen attacks on Bethenny, or Alex.

Both Camille and Jill have done something I find unforgivable – trying to rob people of their ability to earn money.
Jill wants Alex cut from show (and is behind rumors of Alex being dropped). Jill doesn’t want people to film with Alex. Jill is probably behind the Simon is a “drunk” press report. At the reunion Jill claimed Alex was “spread eagle” in an erotic photo shot “at Simon’s hotel” presumably to get Simon in trouble with his employer. Jill tried to undermine sales of Bethenny’s cookbook and Alex & Simon’s book with fake negative reviews on Amazon.

So, far Camille has “fired” Kyle’s husband from handling future real estate transactions of the Grammer’s. But Mauricio has a huge number of clients to draw on already. For Camille’s scheme to really work she would have to personally buy and sell virtually every piece of expensive property in the Westside of LA for this to seriously damage Mauricio. I don’t think Camille is connected enough by herself to blackball him. But is she could she definitely would.

They are both incredibly vicious when jealous or angry.

    • Zoey says:

Hmmm, good question. Since Jill ‘makes’ friends, although she can’t seem to keep them, she is capable of some sort of feelings, however temporary. She shows she is easily capable of deep feelings of jealousy and meanness. Camille doesn’t seem to make friends, doesn’t seem to have a personality, any humor, or much in the way of being human, going on. I think Camille has something missing.

So…..I don’t know! Both are vile egomaniacs. Jill seems to love her daughter and family, and Camille just loves herself. This sort of makes me expect MORE of Jill.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Jill would never pay anyone to be her “friend” so IMHO the people she hurts she hurts more than those paid friends of Camille. Both Jill and Camille carry grudges too far, go after their enemies family (livelihood) and both think they should be the center of their franchise. And both act so surprised when public opinion is not favorable towards them. Can they share the crown of worst?

      • lillybee says:

Anyone else notice that at the beginning of the show Jill says “I run with a fabulous group of people.” not a fabulous group of friends or am I reading too much into this.

  99. hello, hello,hello-does anyone know where the new blog is, as well as “fearless leader”
    did i miss something?

    • quincyillinois says:

There were travel delays. I did not get an email until this evening so I didn’t know I should write something. I think Lynn will get back and watch BH.

Traveling on airlines at Christmas is something I have never done before. Lots of frazzled airline employees and passengers. I’m sure everyone will be glad when they get where they hope to go and home next week.

I saw that BH has a charity event and a Roaring 20’s party sponsored by Taylor. I wonder if they just did that for Bravo or if they have parties like that all of the time

  100. quincyillinois says:

I didn’t know until just now that Lynn was delayed.

Noelle, I hope that you are feeling better. If you ever want to comment on a post of mine, I would be happy to read your thoughts.

    • OneMoreInBoston says:

new hair style? Very becoming, I like you as a brunette.

    • so she’s ok ,right? thanks for the update Quincy, I’ll check later.
did you guys have snow? It’s cooold here, but no snow, and unfortunately no Christmas spirit either. hoping if we get a little white stuff I’ll feel a little “merrier?”
I don’t know why i feel this way-everything is done. food-done. presents wrapped -done. Christmas spirit…none

Beverly Hills is on tonite isn’t it?

      • Adgirl says:

Maybe you will be in the spirit after snarking on tonight’s epi?

      • klmh says:

Don’t mean to be a downer, but you have Xmas packages wrapped and I know they are for your loved ones. How lucky you are to have them in your life. You also get to cook for them. That was my favorite time, cooking for my loved ones. I really miss that so much. You are a lucky lady. Once you look around you, I bet your Christmas spirit will bubble forth and you and yours will enjoy a wonderful holiday together. God bless.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

BH is on tonight! Relax, sit back and enjoy all the work you have done – then you will be merry.

        • Sha2000 says:

          Hi all!
Haven’t been here much I know, busy season, but I wanted to wish you all a Happy Festivus & a very Merry Christmas! Tonight I am taking Windy’s advice above & getting ready to make a cocktail , kick back & watch what happens on Bravo on the dvr. Shopping & wrap done & the tree looks absolutely beautiful with it’s coordinating wraps & pretty ribbons (every year, I’m anal lol but I love how it looks). The cookies are baked, decorated & butt ugly (every year too, no matter how hard I try), but will taste just fine. The outside lighting is finished finally after starting Nov 27th, lol. And I have an Instyler wrapped for myself under the tree (thank you Susan, you always know exactly what I want lol), so hopefully 2011 will be a year of no fizz hairstyles. More importantly my family are all excited & in good spirits; the kids are bouncing off the walls & my husband seems content & relaxed to be off…all is peaceful & well. This morning I took my dog out & was greeted by a parade of deer, adults to a tiny doe walking through the woods behind my house, just a wonderful sight. Later in the day I was also able to visit a friend who is ill and put a smile on her beautiful face, which put a smile in turn on mine. To top it off right now, my sweet puppy & best friend of 12 1/2 years is happily snoring at my feet (& I absolutely love that she still chooses to be in whatever room I occupy) the cat has followed & is rubbing my legs & humming sweet mews to me. So I wish you all the same; happy family & friends & contentment, a holiday filled with beauty & furry loyal souls at your feet.

Merry Christmas & happy contentment to you all,

Hi everyone! Thanks for your concern….I just read the last few posts and noticed your concern. I went to sleep so late last night, and today has been one of those busy days at work. 1/2 day away from my desk, so was away from this blog. I am tired, but getting ready to leave the office. I will catch up with the reading when I get home….

    No worries 🙂

    • American Idiot says:

That’s good to hear CA. Looking foward to watching BH tonight. And don’t forget about the animation/cartoon thingy afterward. Seth and ______ watch TV.

    • quincyillinois says:

I’m glad everyone is doing ok.

The new hairstyle is a mac laptop. For some reason, the avatar changes.

I didn’t wrap anything, My daughter did that.

      • Rabble Rouser says:

Did the kitchen get there in time?

        • quincyillinois says:

It’s here and in two very large boxes. We will assemble like elves after the baby goes to sleep tonight Grandpa is going to help too and Grandpa is not that great with tools.

          • Rabble Rouser says:

Hubby will be doing the same tonight. Fortunately, he is pretty handy that way because when I was reading the reviews online of the kitchen we got, some folks said they really struggled with the assembly.

The part about your hubby not being great with tools made me smile and remember how Adrienne’s husband despite being a surgeon, had trouble with a necklace clasp.

  102. quincyillinois says:

The BH housewives are an hour later in the East. I already have a hard time staying awake for 9 PM Central. When the sun drops from the sky, I get so tired that I want to go to sleep.

    • I always get thrown off by the posting time on the site. I look and it says its 11, when it really is 12, my time. it has thrown me off several nights!!
It’s funny because i always think central time gets ripped off with the times that your TV shows are on, but I guess its all about what you’re used to.

  103. nancy says:

Very confused. I thought Noelle said Kat was not who she claimed to be. So enough of this. I wish Noelle the best and California too. Merry Christmas to all. You all are great.

  104. Camille=C–t.
    I do not like camille

  105. ches says:

OMG! Camille is such a totally calculating bitch. She absolutely knew Kyle was at that fundraiser when she texted her and just wanted to ruin her fun. She could have sent that text any other time but since Camille was supposed to be there she knew it was going on. Plus, even though she wasn’t there, she knew that text would make her the center of attention. It was almost like she wanted to humiliate Kyle in front of her friends. What a bitch!

    • Debbie says:

I actually pictured pyscho Camille hiding right outside the fundraiser, watching Kyle and when she saw he sit with her friends, Camille sent the text. Jealous bitch!! I know, I shouldn’t be so hateful.

    • TLM says:

My thoughts exactly Ches. She planned to yank the rug out from under Kyle at the fashion show and succeeded.

However, what a big buildup to nothing this episode was. By the end of it, Camille and Kyle are dancing together and hugging, with no discussion of the “text from hell.” I don’t believe it’ll be the end of the conflict for them by a long shot, but I’m getting as tired of this as I was of the Danielle vs. the Manzos fight. The thing I can’t believe is that this “feud” started out of whole cloth when Camille imagined something was said to her that was never said.

I guess we all can add “Why would anyone want to see you without Kelsey there” this to the collection of way-overly repeated phrases in Bravo history, ie., “you need to get a hobby.” I am already wondering how many more episodes are left where I have to listen to this. Hopefully Kelsey will dump Camille soon, which will finally distract this psycho from her warpath for Kyle. Or maybe she’ll decide that Kyle destroyed her marriage too. Who knows or cares.

The thing that was shocking to me was how it literally looked like Kyle aged about 10 years in 3 minutes when she was sitting at the table after that text message. It was like her whole face started to wrinkle. Then, at the 1920s party at the end, she looked like she was 25. She didn’t look like she had anything artificial done, she just looked younger. How did all that happen? Is this proof that that Heidi Klum serum really works? I’d rather hear about Kyle’s skincare than listen to one more second about Kyle and Camille.

The whole supposed “Lisa kicks Cedric out” fight was nonexistent. Turns out she was just angry he was 15 minutes late, and then she brings him to that stupid 1920s party dressed up as a woman. Everyone is all smiles. It looks like in the future Ken might raise issues about Cedric, but that never happened in this episode.

It seems like Bravo was really stretching things out with this one.

  106. did’ya see Adrienne? no balls . could not tell Camille that she “may even have been out of line” nothing…rolled her eyes to the camera and yessed Camille to death.
i am so disappointed in her, yet not surprised.

    • NMhousewife says:

Agree about Adrianne…the same with Taylor. She felt it was appropriate to call Camille and “thank her” for having them over?! I sometimes feel sorry for Taylor when I see her interactions wit hher hubby, but she is doing to Kim what Camille does to Kyle. She makes Kim out to be totally weird, and personally am not getting that out of Kim. She seems harmless. I hope she has some actual friends.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Was very disappointed with Adrienne’s lack of a backbone. Guess no one is going to check the big bitch boo!

      • Who gonna check her Boo,
        not me,
        not you.
its ok she’ll get hers someday

      • Ruby Newbie says:

I dunno if there’s any point in trying to reason with Camille. She is fixated on and obsessed with Kyle. Kyle this, Kyle that. Kyle, Kyle, Kyle! Get over it lady!

        • quincyillinois says:

I agree with Ruby on this one. You only add fuel to the fire when dealing with Jill or Camille….or Kelly. Walk away as fast as you can run. Bethenny and Kyle are in pain, but they need to know those ladies from a distance.

  107. Wall St Lady says:

When the BH HWs were asked who had extensions, only one of them said yes. Which one said yes ?

  108. Shep and Tiffany
    executive produced by KATHY GRIFFIN
    woo hoo!!

  109. NMhousewife says:

I’d much rather watch Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin than Andy and a singing Kim Zolciak for New Years.

Preview for next week’s episode, Camille trying her hardest to get Kyle worked up, gives her an etiquette book AND has passages circled. How is that taking the high road?

    • quincyillinois says:

Oh, that is terrible. You should never ever do that.

    • Rabble Rouser says:

If I were Kyle, I would give Camille a thesaurus or as Camile would say “The Saurus” and circle some alternative words for “pernicious” and “Machiavellic” (sic).

I am sure it’s not Camille fault, she was just taking the advise of ‘Always bring a gift’ she leaned from reading “Secrets of a Jewish Mother”.

  110. Wall St Lady says:

Camille takes the “high road” holding the devil’s hand.

  111. Adgirl says:

Accch. Camille and Kyle will never make up. Camille doesn’t want to be her friend, but if even she did, Camille doesn’t know how to be a friend to a female.

I am agog over the NY preview.
Was that Sonja asking Alex to leave her house??? WTF.
I am only speculating. now that Bethenny is on her way out, Alex is now in Jill’s gunsight and Alex has called her out on something (“You are a mean girl” part dux) at Sonja’s.
Jill doesn’t believe that she should have to acknowledge Alex, let alone socialize with her as a peer.
NY is my first love, BH is my second.

  112. Error404 says:

Camille always takes the higher road.

    I’m just sayin

    • Rabble Rouser says:

She is also self reportedly very generous and charitable….’you know’.

      • BessiB says:

She is “nice, and sweet, and kind to everybody. I’m very sweet, and I’m very generous, [?] take advantage.”

        Insert finger into throat.

  113. WSL i need to ask you a very important question. totally OT- when we get time, ….
husband and I want to start new home hunt in manhatten, my best friend just relocated
to chelsea. she left me 😦
my question is,,,,,,,,,,,how do i start the process? WHERE do i start the process? husband wants Upper East Side..me. i dont know
    my girlfriend wants me downtown.

havent started process and wont till mid Jan. help me….where do i start to look ,
and why.. what is the way to go?
would not have brought this up now……….but things may get quiet on board for a while..
also, i will always have a home in jersey.
any suggestions on how to start process?

  114. Amber...Real Wife says:

I’m commenting on last week. Living with Kelsey all of those years, Camille may just repeat his observations, as she so worships him and thinks he’s so smart and the best at everything. Somehow, the expression “morally corrupt”, doesn’t ring like it originated from Camille. Kelsey, most probably, commented on Faye once he found out she was a guest in his home. I don’t imagine Camille was up on the OJ trial, and even if she was, would she recall the gossip about Faye exploiting NicoleS’s death?
Much like he gave her an image makeover a la ElizaDolittle, she just repeats his “big words” and prays she uses them correctly.

    • TLM says:

My friend in college used to call that syndrome “borrowed wit,” but as you said, with Camille it’s not even concepts, just mere words. And so far, she has yet to use one of them correctly. The phrase is “morally bankrupt” and she said “morally corrupt,” which is actually a contradiction in terms, if you think about it.

Mauricio’s second languange is English, and in my opinion he is still a better speaker than Camille. I would rather listen to someone who speaks plainly, if imperfectly, and is genuine and kind, rather than someone whose speech is stilted and artificial and who puts on airs. I think Camille likes to think of herself as elegant and sophisticated (sorry for ripping that off from Sheree), but if I had to pick one word to describe Camille, it would be “grating.” I cringe every time she starts speaking.

  115. Adgirl says:

I still think no matter what Camille has done, and so far she has revealed herself to be a shallow mean spirited woman, Jill is hands down the meanest HW. Jill likes to pick on woman she thinks she can “destroy” while brown nosing women she needs socially.
And Jill’s brand of “destroy” includes social and financial anihilation.

  116. Agatha Cranky says:

Camille is gunning for Kyles husband so bad she can taste it. She is pulling more of her Dangerous Liasons style sabatoge on Kyle. The book with circled passages, to weaken Kyle and make her insecure and whinny with her husband thus becoming unattractive to him.
Then next week, inviting Kyle and family to play tennis because she knows Mauricos plays. Not inviting the other ladies, cause she knows Adreanne will not be caddy, so she can zero in on her prey. She knows she good at tennis and she can really sex it up for Kyles husband.
She’s not done with Kyle, not by a long shot. Camille carefully plans all her encounters to suit her need and madness at the time. Last weeks dinner. Planned and executed.
Now her new plan, since Kyle and Maurico were so classy to her tonight, she has set in motion another attempt at seducing and tearing apart Kyle’s family.
She is a Lifetime movie script in action. Right before our eyes. She plans it all! She has a replaying movie reel in her head of those stalking calculating woman from Lifetime Movies.
I have no doubt in my mind that Camille and Kelsey palor games were to fuck with peoples heads. This is how they got their rocks off.(one of the ways)
They set the stage for their own amusement.Humiliating their guests. Every time it’s on her terrra firma, I get the impression this is done all the time at the Grammer residents. They sit back and giggle with her stylists and other paid pals after the fall out..
Sick sick sick! I bet Kelsy got tired of that life, that’s why he said in one of this interviews that you can hope to be married to a decent person.

  117. Wall St Lady says:

Do you remember Jill sells real estate ? U could call Jill at Zarin fabric & I bet she would be your agent !
    And don’t forget,Sonya’s,Jill’s & Louman’s apartments r all on the market.
Do you want to buy or rent ?

    • that’s supposed to be funny?
So much for my living encyclopedia.
wow, everytime i begin to feel at home here, Whop!!
I should have known better, i got too comfortable.
What, do you actually believe that someone like me could not afford Manhatten?
      I’m signing off for a while……….
WSL. you should be ashamed of yourself,
it took a lot for me to write that and ask for your help and opinion.
      I’ll never do that again.
      wow, that hurt, merry nothin.

      • Rabble Rouser says:

Did that really hurt your feelings?

Maybe I am just totally oblivious to what is going on here because I really just thought she was joking. Maybe she thought you were being factious as the limited info on your post couldn’t really provide anyone with enough info to help a find a place for a serious search (townhouse or condo? sq footage? # of bedrooms? #bathrooms? parking? budget?). Maybe you thought you two could email and share details?

I just don’t see that Lee was setting out to embarrass you- at least I hope that is the case.

I’m sad to see fighting here for what on the surface seems to be misunderstandings.

        • It really did feel like a slap. I was asking her because who better to ask about how to start a home search in Manhatten? It is grossly overwhelming, my husband wants upper East Side, I would prefer to be by my friend downtown. Maybe there is an area I should just “begin in”
          I don’t know……..
I am looking to buy. don’t think it’s appropriate to list money#’s on board.
We own a home on the beach in N.J. so I will always have a home-base here for my daughter(who is not diggin the idea about a move into the city, but she’s in college now so..)
Maybe I wasn’t clear about my intentions 🙂 and EVERYONE on this board is so smart and I have always gotten the greatest advise from ya’all, always with the best intentions.
But..If you asked someone a sincere question and they told you to “go ask Jill Zarin” (ON THIS SITE!)
you might not think it were so funny………

          • Rabble Rouser says:

I’m sorry that you took it that way. I think sometimes when something is read, the tone that gets interjected has a lot to do with what is going on in our heads at the time and effects how we see things.

I know for myself on another forum, there was a lot of fighting and I would read something someone said to me- and would react badly because I was more focused on the under current of what was going on than what was actually being said.

Some old threads got dug up and it was interesting to see some of my reactions because when I read the original remarks now, they didn’t seem to warrant the response it did.

I can’t say if maybe there really was something to the remarks or if I was just reading into it but I guess it goes back to my head space dictated the tone more than the actual words.

So do get how two people can read something but see it completely differently from each other.

I thought your remark at the end about Jill Zarin was funny. I hope it was meant to be or that my finding the humor in it doesn’t undermine your feelings because that isn’t my intention.

All I know, is that I think you and WSL are two great ladies and I am hopeful you all will work it out.

        • OneMoreInBoston says:

RR- careful my darlin…it’s WSL here

      • Buffywood says:

Beverly, this was only meant to be a joke that’s all. A little dig at Jill for her Relator comment and the other housewives current financial situations. Wow, I wouldn’t know where to begin either. TONS of decisions to be made.

        • quincyillinois says:

Bev, I think it’s wonderful that you are going to the Big Apple just as everyone else does. I’d be willing to help you move, just to see a building in NYC. Every neighborhood is unique.

I have friends that moved from the NW hospital area in Chicago to the Gold Coast. I was so happy that she invited me to see the apartment. She has a view of Lake Michigan.

There is a problem when we type. How can we show kind facial impressions? Sometimes you forget the smiling face symbols.

          • Buffywood says:

I thought it was bad that I was up at 2, and then I see you up at 3? You are Superwoman. I hope you were up for a good reason. I was up because all week my 3-year old has decided to wake up a freak out every night.

  118. Kokuanani says:

Watching HW now. Camille is so vile; I just can’t stand her. I find that I’m waiting with delight over her getting dumped by Kelsey. Who’s she going to turn to — among the women on the show — for sympathy? Of course they’ll probably be nice and phony and “support” her. She doesn’t deserve it.

  119. Agatha Cranky says:

Lynn is there a reason my comments were not posted? I spent a lot of time on it. Thank you.

  120. ches says:

This article really must piss Patti Stanger off. She probably thought no one was keeping track.

    • BessiB says:

There was a joke about her on that Shep & Tiffany thing last night, too. Something about she saying she has a 99% success rate, then, someone saying just not on her show.

  121. Wall St Lady says:

For all their $$$ spent to rent 20s costumes, I thought they were generally ugly. Taylor’s dress was pretty & her figure perfect but her hair looked ugly.
Camille’s dress looked like something from a circus and her feather boa clashed with her dress and was off period.

    • Adgirl says:

Kyle’s look was a disappointment. Garish makeup (I know it was during the 20s too). and her wig… with her long hair hangin down the back? The guys didn’t look good either.

      • BessiB says:

Saw a clip on Bravo of Kyle and the Permanent Houseguest in the bathroom. Even Kyle thought she looked ugly.

        • klmh says:

Kyle’s moniker is her hair though, don’t you think? She is constantly tossing and messing with it and seeing it underneath that wig covers up her best asset as she perceives it. jmo

    • klmh says:

I thought Taylor looked lovely with her hair perfect for a twenties party. Thought the others did as well, but Kyle’s hair is so thick she couldn’t get it under the wig. I hate her. ( I have thin hair) 🙂 It was what it was, a costume party after all…

  122. Rabble Rouser says:

What on earth is going on around here?

I feel like I must be either dense or out of the loop because there seems to be upset words over very little.

    Am I missing something?

    • quincyillinois says:

As I watch the women trying to work things out in our reality shows, I think of the cyber world and the real world. A simple (yet perhaps stupid) statement that “red is out of style” got me kicked our of Quincy society…event the Alliance.. group of doctor’s wives. They wanted my membership fees, but I was told not to come to a meeting that I had received an invitation to. That should not have happened and years of repeated stories that were embellished over times should not have happened, but they did. An apology from me and being cordial to the angry people did not help. You can’t be friends with everyone as Kyle is learning. Maurico’s going to Camille in that friendly way must have hurt Kyle, but she just keeps trying to survive. I give her credit for that.

      • klmh says:

I think she was referring to what is happening here on the board. Some tension and misunderstandings during this busy time of year for all hopefully.

  123. Wall St Lady says:

    In the NYHW Alex says:
“She is a thug in a cocktail dress”. I bet she is talking about Kelly. Go Alex !

  124. California35 says:

So Is Bethenny in or out of NYHW? I am curious about that new wife, see the rest of the cast. Is Jill still on it? I am glad to know that show is coming back in Feb, and that it is still on Thursday. I watch Greys Anathomy, but Bravo shows the episode a few times on the same night so I can record both.

I got home and had to take care of a few things, like taking my booboo out for a walk. The rain stoped, and she had not been out for a long walk in a while. I have not watched BHHW or the new cartoon show. I hope I watch those early enough to comment tonight, otherwise I will wait until tomorrow.

Quicy said something about hanign out here for the holiday. I will be around 🙂 tomorrow – I have some cooking and baking to do during the day, but I will check in. I’m still not clear on the time I leave for dinner, but am free again the rest of the weekend.

I have some good news about work also. I am not sure of details because I didn’t get my review done, but my boss called me from his vacation to apologize for it. He also said that he will give me the review next week, and for now he can tell me that the review is successful. I was so happy to hear that (I was outstanding every year and successful is a label down, but based on the stuff going on I thought I was going to get slammed with “below” or “need improvement”). He called to my cell when I was offsite, and when I got in the office I saw an email that a key person had quit. I don’t know if that has anything tomdo with the change to a positive review, but it seems that it does a bit. @Beverly in New Jersey, Please do not be offended by WSL. Between posting from her BlackBerry, dyslexia, and a corny sense of humor, some things get lost in translation. I’m sure she meant no harm. Earlier this year when I was still new to this blog WSL attempted to make a funny that came off terribly racist. I was besides myself with rage. It turned out she had no idea her words were hurtful and after discussing it we were able to “hug it out” and move on. WSL has never intentionally insulted anyone that I’ve seen. We all goof sometimes. Please do not be upset and leave, I for one would miss your presence terribly. I’m sure it’s a misunderstanding. We are your friends here.

  126. Agatha Cranky says:

Thank you Rabble. I’ll try again.
Camille is gunning for Kyle’s husband she’s practically salivating. She is once again pulling her Dangerous Liaisons routine.
The dinner last week, planned and executed!
The book to Kyle with the circled passages, planned to weaken Kyle, make HER insecure and whinny to her husband thus making her unattractive to him.
The tennis match next week, knowing Mauricio’s is such a good player. This is after both Kyle and her husband out classed her at the Tyler’s party tonight. This was an opening for her, not to make up with Kyle, but to put on her sex show at the tennis courts. Inviting only Adrienne and not the other gals, because Adrienne is classy, not catty, she will observe, not gossip, and let Camille flirt with everyone’s husbands, including hers.
Camille has an endless dusty lifetime movie reel in her head. You know the script of giving your alcoholic best friend drinks to turn her husband against her? So she can come in and take over her husband, her house, kids and life, you know the script they show one at least once a day.
She’s a sick puppy Camille. She plans it all! I have no doubt that this Dangerous Liaisons parlor games were common place in the Grammar household. I think they liked to set up situations to mind fuck and humiliate their guests. You can bet, if any event is at Camille’s house, she has calculated her every move and her opponents as well, oops I mean her guests.
She analyzes, methodically and in detail everyone’s weakness to her advantage to set the stage. (No doubt how she landed Kelsey).
Then the next day laughs about everyone tearing them down and how could they do this to me in my OWN HOME kind of crap with her audience of stylists and pay pals, et al.
She is safe and in control on her terra firma, which leads me to believe these kinds of games, among other games, is what got her and Kelsey’s rocks off.
As she’s descending the stairs to greet her tennis guests, you can see this is what she does. In control, game, set match. She’s done it a thousand times!
She is one nasty woman. Empty so empty.
In one of Kelsey’s interviews, he said something like you can only hope to marry someone decent. Maybe he got so tired of the games that had once bound them together, all her Art of War, Dangerous Liaisons, Little Prince, Machiavellian or as she says it Machiavlliac bullshit, she got from him along with all other big words (big houses) she sprinkles in at all the wrong times.
I think these parlor games gave her stage to act and act she will.
But now that she’s national, what she could once do in the cocoon of her BH life, is on display for the world. Kelsey mind fucked her, set her up and she fell for it. These two were done before the show, he just played his hand the way he wanted changed the game on her.
These two remind me that an evening with them would be like Richard Burton and Liz Taylor in Who’s afraid of Virginia Wolf.
Thank you for letting me get this off my chest.

Thank you Rabble R, I tried posting it again and it did not go through. I was long, no links, could that be it?

    • Rabble Rouser says:

Could be the length, try doing what I did with my virtual north pole post that originally had three links in it. Rather than write everything out again, I just took the info from the post that was held in moderation and broke it up into separate posts.

I was trying to be funny about Jill I certainly meant no disrespect.Remember I have met several of the HW & u could legitimately meet Jill. Honestly I am excited u r coming to NYC & I hope our paths would cross.
Look at my post. The last line asked rent or buy ? I rented for many years & Kelsey G.rented before he bought. I don’t understand ur reaction could u explain.
Thank u RR & TLD for knowing & explaining my heart.

  131. Wall St Lady says:

Rent or buy,a NY luxury is to have a window in your bathroom or kitchen so look for that.
The difference between a co-op or a condo is significant particularly for down payments.
Co-ops require up to 50% down. Many of the new buildings r condos w/20% down.
I love a river view. Some like the Park or a skyscraper view. A town house has lots of space & a yard but no view & no inside wall windows.
Honestly,I have loved every neighborhood I have lived in; I think that happens to everyone unless u live in a remote place that has no shops or restaurants. All neighborhoods become home and each has an advantage. For instance I live 5 blocks from 5th Ave.& have a panoramic river & city views. Ladies on 5th Ave on Central Park love walking blocks to the stores and they love seeing the seasons change in the Park. U couldn’t pay me to leave my river. Also in the spring almost every weekend there is a HORRIBLE parade on 5th Ave that causes residents to have to thread thru 100s of people just to enter or leave their home. They cook smelly food & have drunk, loud but celebrating people for 8 hours parading. When it is over it is full of nasty trash & takes days to clean up.
I have only lived off 5th in the 80s & in Sutton Place in 30years. Most of my friends live there too.
    Bethanny lives downtown
Jill, Ramona, Sonya & Lou Ann live mid town. Jill lives 6 blocks from me but not in Sutton Place. She lives in a condo.
A Little birdie told me NYHW mostly film in town houses (which are privately owned) because most
co-op boards do not allow film crews in the building.
I hope that is a beginning in your search for a manhattan home. If u r buying it is a buyers market but things have started to move.
Rentals did not soften this cycle as when folks were forced to sell they had to rent & this kept prices strong.
You have a very big job ahead of u. If u look at the paper, the tel number will always b an agent. Often the add is a bait & switch. Most people have many Nyc real estate agents working for them unless u go to the highest end brokers who insist u only work w/ them. Ask the agent to tell u where their sales have been. Most agents have a focused area they know the best.
Let me know if I can help along the way.
    Congratulations !
    Good luck !
You r going to love NYC than ever

That neighborhood hasn’t changed much.On Madison Ralf Lauren has built a $50mil building across from their flagship store that is amazing. The Raveled Sleeve closed. That was always a Southern hang out.
Now 72nd &3rd has really changed. There is a Talbots & a Victoria s Secret. The movie theater is still there. Gracious Homes extended to 2 additional stores on the East side of the street.
Do u have memories of these. What do u remember ?

  135. lillybee says:

It was so long ago, in the 70’s. I really don’t remember much. I only lived there for a few months and then moved to the Village where I lived on Bedford St. That area was a lot of fun, great restaurants, great shops and very strange people roaming the streets. I really loved the Village.

    Good Morning and Merry Christmas.

I missed last night’s show. I couldn’t keep my eyes open so I’m going to
enjoy all the wonderful and excellent commentaries today.
I’m so glad I found Lynn’s sight way back in May it’s been a great outlet
for me through these months. You gals have left me laughing so many
times I have to applaud all of you for just being who you are. You all

They delivered hubby’s wheelchair this week. Which of course he detests.
..I love it. And he has daily therapy, O.T and P.T. on opposite days.
I did get to do some decorating but not near what I’m accustomed to.

Last year at this time I made some affirmations for the New Year. Three
years of taking care of hubby and his strokes left me drained, exhausted
and my body strained. SO I decided to change, I put sticky notes up
in key locations to remind myself. ……..”keep it simple”, was one and
the others “do not make more work for yourself”. “you don’t HAVE to do
    it ALL”.

It took a whole year to get into this new way of living and I have to say I’m
in a much better place this season. We’ll have a house full tonight, mostly
grandchildren, step kids and some fantastic neighbors. I’m not stressing..when
normally I would. If someone offers to bring a dish I say YES, one neighbor
offered to do the toy shopping, I said YES. Peopod is delivering the pies
and cheesecakes where normally I’d be the baker. I’ll still do a giant meal,
cuz that’s MY thing. I love to cook and play with all the kitchen gadgets.

May the blessings of the season be upon all of you. Be kind to yourselves,
don’t let others steal your peace. You’re better than you think. I’ve seen it
here and I’d be very lonely without you.

Thank you Lynn and her little Elf Quincy,

    Mary Ellen

Alex, Alex, Alex… There is a very fine line between sticking up for yourself and falling off a cliff. I wish Alex and Simon would read our discussions because it’s obvious ant most people prefer those like Lisa and Sonja who can listen, respond, and not go insane when slighted. I’m concerned that Alex went overboard this season. I saw the beginning of a possible problem when Alex would let her emotions reign and go after Jill for emails. Going to someone’s house angy and with an agenda is so Jill and Camille. It’s all about how this will work for the audience People prefer the underdog.
People dislike the aggressor in general. I think it’s because we all went to junior high and high and were the targets of the in girls. It’s natural to expect friends to be friendly, but all friends have moods. If a friend consistently looks for fault (and there is tons of fault to be found in Jill,) that is not a friend. Bravo is going to edit so why give them material to turn Alex into the bad girl of season 4? I think Alex and other ladies of Bravo should hire us as consultants for their behaviors on the reality shows.
They should ask during the season so they can make changes.

I bet we could control Bravo producers and manipulate them. We could use reason to help us make decisions rather than emotions.

  141. TLM says:

Does anyone else think Taylor used to work as an air traffic controller or football coach? Every time I watch that dinner at Camille’s episode, I am so impressed at the quick complexity of her arm motions and hand signals when she says, “You need to stand up and say ‘stop’.” It’s like a thumbs-up that goes into to “time out” signal.

  142. TLM says:

Just saw a promo for tonight on EXTRA, 7pm EST: “Real Housewife Camille Grammer on her $120 million divorce and first Christmas without Kelsey.” They show her trimming the tree with her kids, which is probably the most anyone has ever seen Camille with her kids. I wonder if they asked her where there four mommies are.

I joke, but truly I feel sorry for these kids. It is their first Christmas after their parents divorced, and their skank of a mother is using it as a photo op and I guess an opportunity to grab more money. I guess for her it’s sort of ad saying, “I’m back on the market, boys!” How about letting your kids have some privacy and heal, instead of sticking cameras in their faces? I guess this just reinforces Camille’s self-proclaimed anthem, “Screw you,” an addendum to her earlier anthem, “I am Jesus.”

    • WindyCityWondering says:

All the really good ones were running on their television during the ending credits – like Teresa and her cookbook. Alas – those were not PG rated. And I was surprised that Kathy Griffin was the producer too.

      • BessiB says:

Speaking of producers, I saw a tweet (I’m not on it but I read them from RCH and Bethanny’s website) that someone sent to Bethenny telling her they were watching Saved By the Bell and saw her credit. Bethenny said that she had forgotten all about that, but she was the assistant to one of the producers. So, the producer’s assistance gets a credit on a TV show, but Camille the Producer is not listed anywhere – even the IMDb.

I’m now wondering whether Kelsy cuts her a check (spending $) from Grammnet Inc and takes the compensation deduction, but all she did was make a few phone calls for him, and she thinks that makes he a producer. She met with some guy earlier in the season, but he came to the house, she did not go to the company offices.

    I have 4 alarms for 8am.
2 loud Black Berry and a TV bell
Last the TV comes on. I also sleep with the shades up & I get very strong Southern light.
That plan usually wakes me. WSM sleeps with a sleep mask. My goal is to shut everything off quickly so he can go back to sleep. If I didn’t wake up I think he might puss me off the bed.
So its pretty easy to get me out of bed.
    Naps ?
I haven’t had a nap since my mother made me !

    • Kansas Girl says:

You reminded me of one of my students years ago who had trouble getting to an 8:00 class on time. He slept through multiple alarms, even alarms across the room, and would only wake up when the sun shone in. Then he came up with the idea of putting a timer on a light. The light he chose was one of those bright study lights that almost shines a beam. He put it at the head of his bed, aimed at his face. He was never late again. But his solution always made me laugh because I can’t imagine the shock of a bright light suddenly coming on inches from my face. I think I’d be blinded and have far too much adrenaline to function well!

  150. quincyillinois says:

Dancing “the swim” to Glee….It works….

  151. TLM says:

Reason 296 why Camille hates Kyle and I love her:

Kyle not only does her own makeup, but does it much better than Camille’s, who she pays her “friend” to apply. I tried doing my eye makeup the same way Kyle did today, and it looks fantastic. Never thought to apply it that way! Thanks, Kyle!! Meanwhile Camille’s lackie keeps doing her frosted white eyelids that make her look even loonier than she already is. I wonder if Didi is still on the payroll.

    • BessiB says:

Well, since Camille shut down her twitter account and DiDi is following RealCityHousewife and Kyle on twitter, I think maybe she is.

      • quincyillinois says:

Dede is following real city housewife? I think she’s doing intel for Camille.

Do you think they google IHJZ?

        • BessiB says:

Well, she seems to read RCH – Didi asked her what she did for a living and commented that she was talented. So they may cross reference to IHJZ.

    • OneMoreInBoston says:

      How funny are you?

    TLM what did u do w/makeup ?

    • TLM says:

Check out the scene where Kyle has someone come in to do her blowout, (I believe it was in preparation for the Dinner From Hell). Kyle is applying her own eye makeup. I just followed the pattern she used and the colors she used.

I’ve never been shy about makeup, and in fact used to do makeup for friends, but I couldn’t seem to make the “smokey eye” look work for me. It just wound up being too dark overall and looking like a mess. At the same time, I don’t like overly fussy eyeshadow patterns. Hers was perfect for me. My lids are a similar shape.

      • quincyillinois says:

I watched her too. I think Lisa does her own makeup too and it’s beautiful. I’m sure everyone will be surprised that I do my own makeup and hair. I like pony tails.

    • Sha2000 says:

Add more of the base maybe? Cream cheese or yogurt or whatever you used. I’m not a cook but I bet that will tone it down & you’ll have more.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Can you start over? In my experience, too much garlic will always be too much garlic…..I made a garlic chicken once and we were tasting garlic the next day!

    • nancy says:

excuse all my typo’s. Trying to get everything ready and this mess happened.

    • butterisafruit says:

Sometimes adding another flavor can help. You can chop a small tomato and add it or snip some chives.

    • TLM says:

It’s kinda like they say on Top Chef… don’t try to save something bad… start over.

Did you use raw garlic cloves? If so you will be better off if you microwave garlic cloves for just 5-7 seconds (until translucent but before they burn), then unpeel and mash them. Once you use raw, it’s pretty much impossible to make it milder. Raw works well in some things, but only if used sparingly.

  158. Wall St Lady says:

Quincy us oldies can’t leave out The twist, the fish, the watussi or the shimmy.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

You could try cutting your existing recipe in half (save half for later – NYE is around the corner!) then add to the existing base the non garlic ingredients as called for in the recipe. You should end up with something very close to what you were aiming for to begin with. Good luck!
