IHJZ A Holiday Message

IHJZ My Message to all of You!

A year ago I didn’t have a blog, I didn’t care to have a blog but I was a fan of Bravo’s shows, always have been. The Real Housewives of Orange County started this mess and will always have that little place in my heart simply because they were the first.

It was back during Season two or three of Orange County that I began to get frustrated with Bravotv.com and their Housewives blogs. Leaving comment after comment and never seeing them posted was really maddening. I’ve said it before, if viewers take the time to “click around Bravotv.com” as Andy Cohen asks us to, and then read the Housewives blogs, sign in and leave a comment, they deserve to be posted.

Obviously not the vulgar, vile people of the world and we know they exist because they’re all over Twitter, but those of us who have real honest opinions deserve to be heard.

I asked one of my sources if the Housewives at least got to see the comments posted that weren’t actually published on Bravo’s web site and I was told, “no, those go into the web’s black hole never to be seen again”.

But it wasn’t Orange County and my posts to Vicki and Alexis that really prompted my blog, it was New York and Jill Zarin that forced my hand. I felt the need to write to and about Jill Zarin and a kind friend by the name of Terry Aley agreed to post it on his blog as a guest blog. The rest, as they say, is history. Terry encouraged me to create my own blog and here we all are. Thank you Terry!

Eight months later, the blog is doing very well, we’ve talked about practically every Bravo show that airs but more than that we’ve talked about illness and treatments, baby’s being born, beauty tips, work problems, fashion, family issues and anything else you can think of. If you’ve talked about it with your girlfriends, it’s been discussed on this blog. My only rule when we began was to be kind to other posters, I didn’t see the need to add any other rules for readers who were adult, grown women (and a few men) and it has been very successful. I’ve posted the number of “hits” the blog gets and no one believes it anyway so I won’t bother but Quincy can attest to the numbers as she has complete access to the blog’s stats, but honestly does it really matter?

There are many successful blogs out there and I read as many as I can, I know that you all do too and I try to support other bloggers out there because why not read them all? It’s fun to get different perspectives and there are some really talented, funny ladies out there writing blogs. Real City Housewife, RealOldHousewife and Imajustsaying to name a few, but more than great bloggers, these are amazing women, all three of them and I love them all!

We’ve had people come and go, we’ve had people upset with me or with other regular posters on the blog but overall, I really believe that I’m blessed every single day because of the group of people who’ve gathered here to read and chat and post with each other. Those that have left, upset with me, I truly apologize as my intent with this blog was never to anger anyone. (well maybe Jill) What I wish for those “haters” of my “hate blog” is peace and the ability to move on.

Hate will only hurt you and your life will be miserable, seriously, move on. No one is forced to read or participate in the blog. Honestly, I wasn’t even sure if anyone would read what I had to say about the Housewives. What I never expected was the amazing group of people that gather here regularly and I’m so honored to know every one of you.

Quincy IL, I don’t think you have any idea how much your support has meant to me, particularly these past few months. Your guest blogs are not only expertly written and insightful but having a second person helping me write a daily blog is helping much more than you know. But recently you went above and beyond by taking on the responsibility of managing the blog for three days while I was out of town. I’m so grateful that you agreed to do that for me and I know that everyone who reads and comments on the blog feels the same. I’m so glad you’re here and I and thankful that you were so kind as to help me when I really needed you most, you never hesitated you just jumped in and were amazing! Thank you doesn’t really cover how I feel but I hope you know how much I love and admire you! I do Thank you Quincy!

I have listed all of the regular posters on the blog and you can find them here:

http://wp.me/PVOhN-gh

They are in alphabetical order and my goal is to write my personal message to everyone, that said it desperately needs updated with many more names and I need to get back to my messages because I have so much to say to you all. I promise to get back to that and update everything including my personal messages from the heart.

That said, I do have to mention a few people who’ve been unbelievably supportive and have been “behind the scenes” on the blog helping and advising me.

Had Enough
Wall St Lady
True Life Diva
One More In Boston,
Kat
Boston02127

These women have truly become my friends and I love you all with all my heart. I am so grateful that you all found your way here and chose to stick around because your support and kindness have at times really helped me to keep this blog going.

I want to say in particular to Boston02127, you’ve been through more this year than most people have to endure in a lifetime and my heart goes out to you. I truly wish I could give you a hug and tell you that everything is going to be alright but even that isn’t going to ease your pain. The only thing I can tell you is that time does help, your first Christmas without your mom is going to be very hard but please know that I’m here if you ever need to talk and I know dozens of people who read the blog are all with you in spirit at this time. I love you and I’m thinking about you every day, sending you peace and love.

True Life Diva, Kat and One More In Boston, you are all so much more than just people who post on this blog, you’re all amazing and loving women who add so much more than just your opinions and thoughts to this blog, you have no idea what you all mean to me! Thank you so much for everything! Just knowing that you’re all here with me makes me feel so warm and fuzzy, I mean that!

Wall St Lady, what can I say to my biggest cheerleader and supporter. I’ve never known anyone like you, I’m so impressed by you and everything you do for others and I’m honored to call you my friend.

Had Enough, you know…I don’t have to say it. I love you xoxo

I know that this was a very selfish blog and I’m sorry but I hope you’ll indulge me for just another minute while I just thank God for my family, my amazing husband, my 10-year old son who makes me a better person. My older son and daughter, watching them raising their own families makes me so proud to call them my children. It sounds like I just won an Academy Award, doesn’t it? I feel like I did with all of the blessings in my life.

Thank you!

Until Next Time…

I love this blog and all of you! Merry Christmas!

I’ll be sneaking over here to peek at what you guys are up to today between pizza crust making. We decided to make pizza crust blanks for each person and provide about 30 toppings so everyone could custom make their own pizza. My brother is a vegetarian, my son has gout, my daughter doens’t like red sauce etc so everyone gets to be unique today.
We rolled out a test one last nigt – what a mess. So now I need to make a dozen this morning and precook them so they aren’t 1/2 baked this afternoon.
Then we are watching Slumdog Millionaire.
    No gifts!!

I put out extra bird food today and the squirrels are fat and happy eating it all up.

I hope you all have a a fun day and are spending it with loved ones. Some of us have lost people and pets this past year – my heart and prayers are with you.

In anticipation of all the caloric foolishness I’m about to partake in, I found a video of the Zumba samba jam of the year. My Zumba teacher plays an 8 min. version that leaves me gasping for air. Put your speakers on blast and shake your “jelly” as hard and fast as you can to this song. It’ll really get that heart rate up! 😉

It seems NY will start in Feb. I am really wondering about the comment from Sonja about the manners of Alex. At least, it really looks like Alex to me. Simon isn’t concerned as he tweeted something about this.

Sonja looks down right exhausted in some photos on the net. I hope she is doing OK.

So… who do you all think fell off the camel? I think it was Kelly Bensimon.

        • Sparkles says:

I voted for Theresa as my least favorite. It was a hard choice, especially with Camille in the running, but the lavish spending w/o paying the bills really gets me.

    • California35 says:

      Merry Christmas 🙂

Her Liza beat Bethenny to #1! like her so I’m ok with that…but did you see that three wives beat Jill? Camille as the winner. I admit she came to my mind before hitting Jill’s name, but I’m sure it is because Camille’s fresh in everyone’s mind.

    • LynnNChicago says:

I admit it was tough but I have to stick with Jill Zarin as least favorite.

    • Scorpiosue1102 says:

I have to say that I voted for Camille. She has surpassed Jill in my dislike category. Also, as much I as I love Bethenny, I had to vote for Lisa Vanderpump. She makes me want to watch RHOBH.

Lynn, I work from home through my computer. When I’m not working I’m surfing from site to site. I probably spend between 12 to 15 hours a day on my computer and your blog is the first place I go to everyday. I just want you to know how important this blog has become for a lot of us, even the ones who don’t post much. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and everyone on this blog.

  15. quincyillinois says:

I have a lot of quiet time as both my granddaughter and pregnant daughter are into naps. I found an article on Golnessa from “The Fashion Show” where she states that Gretchen Rossi actually had on two pair of spanx. Her waist rear and thigh measurements were all reduced two inches. Gretchen loved it when Golnessa said that she had the same measurements as her mannequin which was set up for a model. Gretchen knows designer clothes and had 50% of the input into the design for the show. Gretchen seems smart to me so surely she knew that the measurements were off and the dress was to be skin tight. Why would she not wear two layers of spanx on the fitting day? I think she was afraid that cameras would show her in spanx. She had really lacy underpants on with not nylons when the tear was in the designer dress. Apparently, there wasn’t enough cloth for a new panel and that is why Golnessa put in that ugly side seam that the judge’s hated. I looked all over, but Gretchen didn’t apologize to that girl for doing that. I didn’t like the bottom of the dress. I thought the site where the bottom connected at the knee looked like something I would do so I knew it was not good. Amazingly, Golnessa loved the dress before it ripped.

    • AZ Girl says:

Two layers of spanx? How could she breath? She is so vain. Personally, I just thought Gretchen wore 2 layers of makeup only.

  16. Had Enough! says:

The other day, our brilliant HD pointed out that Bethenny’s endless whining about being tired (despite having an assistant, a nanny, a husband, etc.) is getting tiresome, especially when compared to the real hardships of impoverished women who work dawn to dusk just to feed their children.

Well, at least Bethenny really does work hard. If you really want to puke, here’s the Christmas complaint from a wealthy woman who has round-the-clock nannies, two very expensive homes, does nothing but bop around Miami, Vegas, and numerous other towns, goes to bars nearly every night, and spends most of her time looking ridiculous and annoying the living crap out of us:

“To all the single mama’s out there, no one said it was going to be easy, but the love from the kiddies is priceless. We’re in it together.”

Bitch. Please. There is nothing hard about your life. Nothing. Nothing. Do you hear me? Nothing.

One of these days, when the child support checks are gone, you might have reason to bitch. But not now. Right now, you don’t even actually take care of those kids. I don’t doubt that you love them, but there are so many women who would love to have the luxury of staying home and taking care of their kids full time. You can do that, but instead, you spend half your time jetting about and tweeting. An occasional video or tweeted photo with the kidlets to try to make it seem like you spend most of your time with them.

    • quincyillinois says:

She doesn’t seem to be able to lure another man into her web.

    • JazzNightOut says:

I have to admit that I voted for this particular woman for ‘least favorite’ housewife in the poll linked above. She just irks me all over. Love Lisa, but voted Bethenny for ‘most.’

    • quincyillinois says:

about Bethenny….. I think the traveling westward affected her brain.

      http://www.britishairways.com/travel/health-sleep-effects/public/en_gb

Scientists have looked at jet lag and circadian cycles. They discovered that flying affects the brain. Flying west affected the brains of flight attendants more than flying east. The brains had a loss of brain cells from non stop flights.

Bethenny also has insomnia. When Bethenny met Jill in Dec. of season 3 and Jill asked Bethenny how she was Bethenny said that she was getting good “sleeps” amazingly. Jill said that was good. It was obvious that Bethenny had insomnia and had discussed it often with her “friend” Jill.

Bethenny also was dizzy from spinning and this was a problem during their practices.

I think Bethenny had brain issues during the entire season of SWTS. I bet she was miserable, but she still kept trying.

      • JazzNightOut says:

Thanks, Quincy. I feel protective of Bethenny; she is a little younger than my son so I suspect it is ‘mommy syndrome.’ She has heart, lots of it. She just keeps going no matter what. I think with Bryn, she is learning to protect herself a little more so she can have what she needs to be a good mom to Bryn. What you wrote makes a lot of sense to me.

        • quincyillinois says:

I read that she had tried to talk to Johnny Weir after a judging and the discussion didn’t go well. I think exhaustion after skating also affected her thinking.

I tend to look for reasons when it comes to the way people act. If only we were all perfect….. Alas… no one is….

    • HD says:

Thank you, Had Enough. You get it. Of course I came to this site because I could not stand Jill and who didn’t like Bethanny? She was witty, a self made millionaire, of course she made skinnny magaritas which is right up my alley and I really related to her story because I had a difficult childhood. So I love Bethanny.

But the constant whining I just could not stand. It seemed every skating show it was something about her leaving her husband and her daughter. Which I know is hard but of course a choice that she made. My question to her would be, “what part did you play in all this?” Most people do things because there is some type of pay off.

For the person that made the quote about being a single mom and how we are in this together, I think some of these women are delusional. Kind of like when rich people say they are broke because they only have 5 million in the bank and not 10. I know some hard working single mothers, I was a single mother and even though I am now married I still feel like a single mother. Being a single mother is HARD work and it is very hard when you do not have the financial means to do many things. Her message of single mother unity just does not come off genuine.

As for Bethanny, I still like her but if I have to hear her talk read whine about all that she has to do and how tired she is on BGM2 I will not watch it.

      • OneMoreInBoston says:

        ((((HD))))

    Merry Christmas, Lynn!
I found you through a link to your first Terry Aley blog, and have read daily ever since then… First the NY Times, then IHJZ. Don’t know what that says about me. 😉 Many thanks for the daily entertainment!
And many thanks to Quincy, as well! How she can take one for the group and watching the lovely Ms. Stanger at “work” is beyond me – but the blogs are great.
To all the posters: I wish you all the best now, and in the coming year!

I found this on another site, and would like to share this with all of you:

“In the midst of this Season of Light,
    may we all discover
    the Gladness of the Solstice, which is Hope;
    the Spirit of Hanukkah, which is Freedom;
the Joy of Kwanzaa, which is Unity; and
the Heart of Christmas, which is Love.
So it may be, and blessed be.”

Benediction, Christmas Eve service, 12/24/10, at the First Unitarian Church, Shaker Heights, Ohio.

  18. LynnnSoCal says:

Lynn, Thanks for taking time on Christmas Day to send us a personal message. No, it’s not selfish. You give us all so much! Lots of laughs, supportive, positive peeps, a place to share so many OT thoughts and ideas. I get so much enjoyment from your take on all the RHOBravo kerfuffle. I’ve also become quite fond of our group here at IHJZ. Your work is so appreciated! I can’t believe its been a year? Really? Well, here’s to another, whatever it may bring. with aloha, Lynn

  19. ★ ★ ★ MERRY CHRISTMAS LYNN!!!!!!!! ★ ★ ★
(I’m totally replying to the first comment so my message can be at the top!!)
And Merry Christmas to all the posters, and all the lurkers, and even the haters who still stop by to read whats going on here (Hi JS!). I hope everyone has a wonderful happy fun merry Christmas filled with love and laughter!
    To all those going through a hard time – It will get better. It always does. It’s just the way life is. I have a friend who says;
“Life will always balance in the end. However bad it is right now – that’s how good it’s going to be later on, and the amount of sadness you feel now, will equal the amount of happiness you will feel later.”
(He also says the same but opposite during happy times, which is a huge downer).
Merry Merry to all! So glad we all found each other. Like I told Lynn – at least Jill Zarin is good for something!

  20. Kokuanani says:

Lynn, I came to your blog via TWOP. I never did much on the Bravo blogs, having the same experience of never getting comments posted.

TWOP, however, was a different kettle of fish. I got “repremanded” again and again, “banned” a couple of times under a couple of different names, all because of not “obeying the rules” set by the BSC “Strega.”

I really longed for a community where I could comment and enjoy the comments of others, without any of the “you’re banned because you attemted to post during the show” crap. Your dear blog created such a spot, and I thank you for it.

I don’t watch Bravo shows other than the Housewives, and even then, only NYC, BH and OC. But I can scroll through comments related to the other shows, and enjoy the comments and stories from familiar posters.

Thanks again for all your work. Just so you know, this is NOT like Jill’s misguided end-of-the-year “forgiveness,” which she thought meant that SHE should enumerate all the people SHE thought had wronged HER [and “forgive” them], rather than the TRUE meaning, which is to ASK forgiveness from all the folks you may have wronged. Since, of course, in her own little “mind” Jill has never “wronged” anyone — only been wronged — she never could understand the true meaning of this.

I have a lull between meals and I wanted to pass along a new recipe I had at brunch. It is Paula Deen’s “The Lady’s Perfect Scrambled Eggs”. They were amazing and I highly recommend them. You can get the recipe on Foodnetwork.com.
Ummm….Sorry QuincyIl. these eggs are NOT low fat or low calorie. But they were really good. Yum…
Back to the kitchen for round 2.
Oh….Sunny and 73 today. You are welcomed to hate me 🙂

      Hi AZ –

After all the rain, we had we had a beautiful sunny day yesterday. It was cold, but there was no rain. Today started like that, but it is now cold, windy and cloudy. I am just glad I am home and not have to drive anywhere. I’m glad it has been nice and sunny for you. Pls remind me – what state do live in…AZ or CA?

      • AZ Girl says:

Born and raise the first half of my life in Culver City, CA. Then I was transplanted to the Chicago area (North Shore) for part of grade school and high school. Left for AZ to go to ASU. Out of state tuition was so cheap back then and I wanted to get my degree. I had to work and no car so it was the best choice. I have never left AZ since. My kids are now attending AZ university’s.

        • California35 says:

Thank you AZ… I thought so, but now I’m clear why I though you were from CA. I grew up in CA, and am still here. It sounds like your move to AZ was a good move 🙂

I have spent all 60 of my Christmases in this weather, 70’s today in central Florida so even though its not snowing or cold, its the Christmas that I know. I am so grateful and fortunate to have found this site earlier this year. Same reason due to Bravos editing out the landslide of negative comments on Jill. I got so frustrated one day I just typed in I hate jill zarin and yippee, here is was. Of course back then it was a different format, but I was home at last. Thanks to Lynn and this entire family of wonderful women and men for hearing us out and supporting each other. Like someone above said “jill zarin is good for something” amen to that sister.

I was just surfing and googling trying to find information on the people from
“The Fashion Show.” I had discovered that some of the artist on the Art Competition were on Facebook speaking out about their castemates during the competition so I thought it would make an interesting blog if the current Fashion Show designers were doing the same.

Low and Behold, I found a web site organized around our Fashion Show guest blogs.

    http://fortminorfansite.com/article/i-hate-jill-zarin-the-fashion-show-millionaire-matchmaker-guest.html

LOL…. They give the name of IHJZ and full credit to our site.

Honestly, I look around for information all of the time to bring here. It made me laugh to think other people find our information. rotfl…

    • Buffywood says:

Does this mean you now are a syndicated hobby blogger?

      • quincyillinois says:

No, just a syndicated guest blogger. I imagine a computer did this. They probably are organizing the universe and we don’t know it.

        • TrillianAlice says:

This is fascinating news. Wow, Lynn did you ever imagine, I am so happy for you.

Quincy’s blogs are always first rate, also.

          • quincyillinois says:

Deep in the bowels of the internet, there are elves searching for input. Before we know it, it will be a Brave New World and we will be subject to the whims of computers. If there is a war with the Terminators, I will be in the front lines as I have gone to Grandma bootcamp for over a year now and my core is as tight as Bethenny’s during an over the head spin. Of course, I will have to work a tad harder when I get home because me granddaughter keeps sharing half eaten cookies with baby slobber on them. We are trying to teach her to share, but I’m not sure this is the way to go.

BTW.. the tankyu… is aready in place

Hi Quincy, I like what you said about Bethenny – regarding insomnia etc. She works a lot and has a lot on her plate. Some one said before that she can slow down, or she takes on too much. I do agree that she is in control on what to do and what not to do, but I also inderstand why she takes on a lot. She has been single for a long time and has been trying for a long time to have success… For those two reasons she was probably used to acept any opportunity that would come her way. Because she needed the money and becaus she didn’t have to worry about anyone else but herself (and cookie) to make decisions. Now that she has so many opportunities and challenges, she can’t say no. She had been waiting and working hard to get where she is now, so if she didn’t say no before how can she say no now? She is also taking care of her personal life as a wife and mother, and hopefully some time for herself. My hopes are that she has a plan to slow down once she reaches wherever is her goal, and then have more free time for her and her family while her empire keeps making money. She can’t completely stop, but she can slow down. She updates her fans about her busy days, but she also mentions her family, sneaking in some excercise and rest. I wish her to continue with success, and can’t wait to see her 2nd season where we might see some behind the scenes of what she has been up to.

Merry Christmas all fellow poster, bloggers and lurkers. Lynn, thanks for taking care of everyone, even on a holiday. Hope everyone is enjoying their day/evening.

I found Lynn right after Jill announced Bethenny was having a boy. I was reading the Bravo message boards pretty regularily, but didn’t like them too much. I must have followed a link to get me to blogspot, and I have been followoing IHJZ ever since

Looks like the East Coast is going to get some snow tomorrow. Our plans are most likely going to be cancelled, but oh well, more time to read some of the links I have not gotten to yet. Take care everyone.

Merry Christmas everyone and Happy New Year!
While being homebound I really thank you all for entertaining me this year. I mostly lurk and occasionally give an opinion. I enjoyed trying to “discover” the real name of Wall St. Lady. It took many days of research and multiple clues from her but I finally figured out her identity and felt very computer savy for my accomplishment!

I started watching the HWof Atlanta this season due to you all and I can’t find anything to like about any of them. I wish I could but they seem so over the top. Actually, they are clueless. I can’t figure out how they have survived in Atlanta. It always seemed like a tough city to live in to me.

Thank you all and best wishes, hugs and kisses!

    Hi Ione !
I have missed u ! I am so happy to know u have been lurking cuz I was worried about u. I was worried u would miss ur birthday party Ap 21st. Please let me hear how u r. My mom is house bound too. I hear regularly all the things she misses so I know its not a choice u make.
I hope ur have a Happy New Year !

      Hi, Wall St. Lady!
I will definitely be here on my birthday. These ladies (and some gentlemen) have kept me company while trying to find a way out of this medical nightmare. Such wonderful, kind, intelligent people. To think, Lynn started this site a year ago and it has opened up so much more for her and others.
I will always be grateful I found you, Lynn and the others.
      Happy New Year!

    From Bethenny —

Holy ice balls. Skating With the Stars combined with my businesses, marriage, baby, finishing my book and filming my own show, was insane.

I took on more than I could handle, and as women, we tend to do that. Sometimes saying no means yes. That said, I got through it, I gave it my all, and it made me a stronger person. Plus, it made my marriage stronger. Jason, Bryn and Cookie (and my dedicated assistant Julie) supported me the whole way through, and it was no picnic. I am so grateful to them, and I would do anything for them.  I learned from Jason that this is what marriage is about.  I also cannot be remiss in thanking you, my incredible, loyal fans. You literally carried me through this experience, which was the most difficult of my life.  I tried to skate for you guys and not pay any mind to harsh comments from the judges.  You inspired me, kept me going and made me want to make you proud each week. I went from not being able to come down that ramp to actually being able to skate. This, to me, reinforces the notion that anything is possible. Please just come from a place of yes!

So, the holidays are upon us. Do me a favor: don’t stress or beat yourself up trying to avoid indulgence.  Decide how to indulge. Every day, choose one indulgence and do it in moderation. Today, make it a small bowl of cheese popcorn. Tomorrow, a gingerbread cookie. You can have it all, just not all at once.

To handle cocktail parties, always have a sensible snack beforehand so that you don’t grab at the first thing you see. Also drink water or club soda before or between cocktails. Drink clear liquor or Skinnygirl cocktails and try to drink no more than two.  Don’t beat yourself up if you exceed that (um, like I did last night), but do try.  Also, at those parties, fill up on the boring healthy stuff like crudités, then move on to other healthy choices like shrimp cocktail, and then allow yourself to have a small amount of the very special indulgent items that you don’t often see. Don’t invest in neon cheese cubes that you can afford to eat at home.

I promise that if you don’t binge and beat yourself up, you will be fine. Or you can always become a semi-professional ice skater and be able to eat whatever you want.  I suggest the other route though. It’s less stressful.

As far as exercise is concerned, I suggest doing fun things, and it’s a great idea to keep switching it up. Go cross-country skiing or ice skating or take a brisk walk in the snow!

Let’s enjoy the holidays and not beat ourselves up. We’re adults and can handle anything.

If you feel like you need a refresher course in how to unleash your skinnygirl without dieting, read Naturally Thin again. It will get your mind where it needs to be.

I’m so excited for Bryn’s first holiday season. As you can see by our holiday card, we’re having fun with it. This picture was taken in the Skating With the Stars wardrobe department, where I smuggled in Cookie with a baby blanket.

I also recommend a hideous Christmas sweater party. This was a riot. We found our sweaters at a vintage store.  Being an idiot is really the most fun way to go.

I love you all! What an incredible year this has been, and I have loved sharing it with you!

    xo,

PS – I take to the road in January to visit you all across the country for a SKINNYGIRL NIGHT OUT! Bring your girlfriends, bring your mom, or just buy someone a ticket as a holiday gift! I have listed the cities for you with links to purchase tickets! Can’t wait to see you!

This incident took place after the show on 12/6. The timing of the article is interesting. Bethenny tweeted about it and I assumed she was talking about Johnny Weir even though she never mentioned the name of the judge.

What happens in DC affects our lives even here in farmland USA. I think it would be hard to create a politically driven Real Housewives in our capital without offending suburban women who carry around little bags of dog poop or people who need health care, but don’t want their rates to sky rocket. In Washington, DC, someone is going to be the loser so a housewives series is going to offed someone.

I’m being quiet when it comes to the Cat O book. I doubt that Cat can be truthful and I’m just going to wait for the blank to hit the fan. Her former in laws have hired lawyers BTW.

      • twoile says:

@Q Very interesting Re: former in laws…wait 4 next installment:)

I think the book had a lot more in it when it was with the American publisher and our dear Cat freaked because she realized that everyone was know what she blabbed.

I am thinking about writing my autobiography. It will be full of sex…. animal hubandry…. like the time I thought a big buck had gone insane in my back yard, but he was really having sex with a doe. Things like that… Rich Amon will be very impressed. Ah… I was in a zoo when Elephants were doing it… so my book is going to have really big sexual encounters.

Well…..I now weigh about 500 pounds. I haven’t stopped eating since about one this afternoon. I had a ham dinner at my aunts and dessert, candy, sweedish meatballs, cheese & crackers & all kinds of goodies. My b/f only got off 4 hours from work because it’s his first year on the fire dept. and he’s been stuck with most of the holidays this year. We went to his parents house & had pasta then ate a turkey dinner. They do the big pasta dinner first then the X-Mas dinner. They had great desserts too. I took plates home from both houses. I’m so over stuffed but to be honest I could go for a cup of tea and a cannoli.

This was a great appetizer. A square of cream cheese, carmel & granola. You put the cream cheese in the center of a plate and pour a little carmel over it then sprinkel some granola on it. Then you cut slices of apple and put them around the cream cheese. It sort of looked like a flower before everyone started eating it. So good. I didn’t want to look like a pig but I felt like taking the plate in the bathroom and eating it all.

    • klmh says:

That sounds interesting. Are you going to put that on your recipe site?

Thank you Lynn for the fantastic blog! You should just know that you’re the first place I go whenever I need to vent about how awful jill/teresa/camille is after watching an episode of the real housewives. My poor husband had to sit through episodes with me so that I could vent to him and he’s very thankful I found this wonderful lynnfam so that he doesn’t have to watch it with me all the time lol.

I just finally caught up with the beverly hills housewives cuz I spent the past few weeks taking care of my new baby at my parents house and they don’t have a tv. Thank god for DVR! So my baby just turned three weeks old and is getting cuter by the minute! And I’ve been getting no sleep and am exhausted because our little boy wakes us up at odd hours of the night. So I’m very happy to be back–back at home and back with the lynnfam venting about the housewives!

Anyway, a belated merry christmas to you all and thank you all for everything!

Just wondering — are you trying to ironic or hypocritical when you say : “Hate will only hurt you and your life will be miserable, seriously, move on.” ??

    • Shannon says:

No, it’s not. If you really knew anything about this blog you would know that.

    • TrillianAlice says:

You must not read Lynn’s blog, I have never come across a nicer group of people and I have been on the internet a long time.

Some people don’t really read the blog or posts. I call them hit and run posters. We used to have that on boards in 89. It’s nothing new or innovative.

    • LynnNChicago says:

Is it? Have you read it?

    • Blue Sky says:

Most of the people here are “sick” of Jill, it’s not totally hatred as you seem to think. Sick & tired of the way she treats her “friends” & tries to hurt their reputation(s) and even their income. So you don’t leap before you look, try reading more & then posting. You might be surprised at what people are saying on this board.

    Thank You So Much Lynn~
I found this place after I couldn’t stand to wait & see if Bravo would post my comments about Jill as well. They didn’t of course.
I lurked here for a long time before deciding to post because I thought it would be the same that there would be a waiting period and then I saw what people were writing & the respect everyone had for each other how much fun it was. I wanted to be able to express my opinion about our HW’s especially the one’s that drive us crazy~JZ lol
You’ve Come A Long Way Lynn~before I found you I thought about doing my own blog about how much I hated what Jill was doing to Bethenny but didn’t think anyone would read it~ironic eh?
Kisses & Love To You & Quincy & All Who Help You With This Marvelous Place To Come & Be Ourselves..
    Peace

  57. quincyillinois says:

Both Lynn and Terry A had mentioned that there were some pages of Cat O’s book online. Guess what? The book cover that the publisher shot and her husband’s cover are not there. It seems Cat O could not get along with her publisher. That original book was not her voice so she self published. Hmmmmmmmm…

Here is a paragraph that she is sharing with America.

Her life was supposed to be perfect, having swapped the English countryside for a manor house in the Mediterranean sun. Complete with husband, kids and animals she lived the paradise dream — until a chance meeting with a beautiful married Swiss banker was to suddenly turn her heart inside out and challenge everything she held dear. She crossed the line of her gilded cage to rendezvous across the world to be with him, leading to explosive consequences that were impossible to predict. She could never go home.”

Read more at the Washington Examiner: http://washingtonexaminer.com/blogs/yeas-nays/2010/12/ommanney-denies-prince-harry-rumors-promotes-book#ixzz19Da1cDca

So… Cat O thinks that leaving her gilded cage with two small daughters and a husband to have an affair with a handsome Swiss banker has unforeseen consequences. She must be blind as a bat because I can foresee those consequences from half way across the planet. It’s only unforeseen to someone who looks at herself in a mirror 24/7.

I don’t see how they can save the DC franchise.

    • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

I did not know that Q~
It always amazes me how people over the age of 30 have the jingle balls to do something like that~I know quite a few people who are having affairs & they are my age. It’s bad enough when we do it when we are young & stoopid~:p
But I would rather be alone than share my spouse with anyone~I want to ask these people why don’t you just get divorced & you can do whatever you want without hurting anyone.
How are you today sweetie~I am laughing because I didn’t realize when you quest blog you use Quincyil~now it’s Quincyillinois~senior moment lol
Our Christmas was sweet & quiet but filled with great chinese food & love.
My mama gets better with age as I hope I do~we actually heard from my brother & Allan’s brother~no word from my sister’s or hubby’s.

      • Kansas Girl says:

I’m chuckling at your comment about people over 30. Yesterday I had lunch with a couple in their 50s who have married each other 3 times. It seems that just when things settle down, she finds a “better” man and runs off. And then he takes her back. They looked at each other with loving eyes and said “You’re the best thing that’s happened to me this year”, but she then added her laundry list of their relationship problems. (And we examined our fingernails and didn’t comment.)

        • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

Kansas Girl~I say over 30 to give them a little time to get whatever they have to get out of their systems. lol
I will be 52 & my hubby 54. I remember in my 20’s whenever I went back with someone I had broken up with it never worked. I just think it’s crazy to know what you are doing to other people when you cheat & you still do it.
The people I know are the ones I am talking about. They are 50 or older & their main reason is money. That is why they stay married. They would rather be selfish & cheat.

    • TrillianAlice says:

Yes, Cat did not have a very good reputation before she left England and when it was announced she was going to be on Bravo’s show, well, there was quite an uproar about her. She was seen as a bad representation for Britain.

      • quincyillinois says:

I think the royal family does a good enough job representing Britain with antics. LOL. I hope the younger generation does a better job. Talk about reality shows. Can you imagine being a royal in that fish bowel?

      • TrillianAlice says:

Well, that last sentence of mine sure makes lots of sense. Sorry, I was in the middle of a conversation and trying to type my post and it shows. She was seen as a bad representative. I am not sure if anyone read the British papers about her but they were horrible. Some people did not like her at all.

So, Quincy, did you read the book?

        • quincyillinois says:

I don’t think it’s out yet. I may buy it and review it for the board. I really don’t trust her completely.

  60. TLM says:

So Philadelphia is supposed to get an enormous blizzard starting this afternoon which will only get heavier as it gets later. Mayor Nutter just gave a press conference talking about preparing for this armageddon, and then without missing a beat, says, “for anyone attending the Eagles game tonight, please take public transportation.”

Seriously?? Basically they just said, “If you don’t have to go out, don’t go out…unless you’re going to the Eagles game.” God forbid they should postpone a football game in the name of safety. Why is the game going in in contravention of all logic?? And our public transportation system here can’t even seem to handle a light rain without major delays, but you’re going to tell thousands of drunk, crazy fans in the middle of a blizzard to depend on them to get home? Good luck with that one. I’ll be sipping hot tea, on Ebay, and vacuuming.

    • vilzvet says:

Yes NY is also in a blizzard warning; we could get 10-16 inches. It’s already starting out there.

    • TLM says:

Just got back from the market. It is the calm before the storm of shoppers. Some people there were actually claiming there won’t be any snow, and it’s all just a hoax. This happens every time snow is predicted: there are the people who panic, and the people who deny reality. And they all seem to converge at the market. Today, it was also the usual assortment of people stumbling around the day after Christmas.

Ever notice the guy in the market who has a small cart, is in his late 50s or so and looks like a total psycho loner? I periodically notice someone like this wandering around and try not to make eye contact, but I do sneak looks at the cart. Invariably it reflects what I imagine to be a serial killer’s diet: huge bags of potato chips, a bag of candy, soda, a loaf of white Wonder bread, and neon-pink cake or cookies. And a pound or two of ground beef. That’s it. While I wait for the person ahead of me to check out, I start to imagine the sad place these things are being dragged to. I always picture a barely working black-and-white tv in the living room, and a tattered La-Z-Boy chair in front of it with a folding TV table, where I imagine pretty much everything gets done: lists of notes being scrawled, dinner eaten, toenails clipped, threatening calls to radio stations made. Maybe I watch too many movies, but I would bet at least 50% of this is true.

Well, time to hunker down and wait for the snow. And what better way to do that than to analyze infomercials? Has anyone ordered the “Perfect Brownie” pan on those nonstop infomercials? I’m seeing it on tv now for about the millionth time. I have a friend who’s addicted to infomercial items. I never buy them, but I actually just love to watch the commercials. There’s something strangely fascinating about items that purport to solve every problem in your life for $14.99 or $19.99.

Just saw the first ad for Million Dollar Listing. Looks like Chadbot is finally gone. Whatever will we do without Chaddycakes, Veebeecakes and Starleecakes? My guess is that sales of Pepto Bismol will drop across the nation. Sweaty Josh and Gay/not gay Madison are back. And who else are they adding? Why, another Josh, of course!

OMG I must be a serial killer because that sounds like an awesome way to spend a snowstorm Sunday. Of course I would have to have ice cream too. The ice cream stops me from making the threatening phone calls to radio stations. LOL!

Has anyone here actually bought that Brownie thingy? I always want to when I see it because then my life would finally be complete, but I really don’t eat Brownies, I’m all about the ice cream. Stops the murderous rampages…

        • TLM says:

LOL Boston… you were missing the visual of the guy with the cart. Picture Michael Douglas in “Falling Down.” 😉

          • Adgirl says:

What good are the chips and hamburger without beer? Maybe your Cereal Killer is tailgating the Eagles game at home.

            • Buffywood says:

TLM, where are you from? I saw the same press conference, and since then it was announced the Eagles game will be postponed until Tues. I am glad as I feel like crap but there was now way I was going to miss that game.

Yes I am one of the idiots that was headed down to the game.

              • TLM says:

Yeah, they finally caved and canceled a couple hours ago. I’m not into football at all, but even if I were, I still would have been stunned that the game wasn’t canceled after the city declared a snow emergency and flights had been canceled in and out Philadelphia International.

I reorganized my coat closet today and I feel completely invincible. (Yes, I am an organization geek like Bethenny.) I also saw the Wonder File today on TV and was mad that I didn’t think to mass-market it, since I had that idea a few years ago. I may actually wind up buying one. (www.buywonderfile.com). Mainly I’m excited that I now have a place to store my vacuum cleaners now.

Off to post more stuff on Ebay. I’m also a dedicated Ebayer like Bethenny. LOL. Got a much-needed heavy duty winter coat. I have my eye on a new watch as well, which I’ll splurge on if I can sell enough stuff. Anyone else into Ebay?

@TLM I’ve tried it a few times & would love to learn the best techniques(if there is such a thing) for selling. Have successfully purchased several items. In both selling & buying each I have encountered dubious practices (1X only ea). I now have some Photo art that I purchased several yrs ago via PBS auction that I would like to sell any suggestions? • klmh says:

Yep, I usually buy, but have sold there as well. You never know what your stuff might bring! Guess one of my best was a first printing of Maltese Falcon I picked up at a auction. I have also found some great things there too. How about you? Any good stories?

    Happy day AFTER Christmas!

Wonderful post, Lynn. You deserve all the success that you’ve had in 2010 and more in the year to come.

I’ve had a ‘glitch’ recently and haven’t posted as much as I’d like, so am not up to speed on what everyone’s been going through. I’d just like to say that I hope everyone here stays well and happy.

Can I read what you just wrote? Yes, I see it.

If you meant can you read the article with Gregg, no…he is in a radio studio giving the interview. I think it is pretty solid that they are going to get a divorce from the way he is talking.

          • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

Thank you~I think it’s a shame the divorce will go through but as I said I think maybe it’s better than to be with someone you don’t want to be with.

            • HD says:

I agree. I always wonder if its the fame and the show that ruins these marriages or would they have went downhill anyway without the lights, camera and action?

              • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

                It is probably both.
It may also be a way for people who would have had to stay in a marriage a way out.
I cannot imagine what it would be like to have my life under a microscope under the best of times never mind the worst right?
                lol 😉

LOL… so… I’m bored again and looking at cyberspace. I visited real city housewife from her link here. (I still thinks she looks like that movie star whose ancestor, John D. Witherspoon, signed our Declaration of Independence.)

I noticed that Reese (she really looks like Reese) had a twitter link to someone called PattiStinker. PattiStinker thinks that Lynn should blog about Patti Stanger rather than have a guest blogger. rotfl. a guest blogger…who really only writes what Patti and her crew say and reminds the planet what they said and did on previous shows.

I may write a guest blog about real city housewife and give my reasons that real city housewife is actually an American movie actress living in LA. Have you noticed that there is never an “eh?” on any of her posts? Very suspicious. I watch a lot of Canadian sitcoms.

    • OneMoreInBoston says:

wow- I really did laugh out loud again. That’s pretty funny. Just keep an eye on her, quincy, I don’t completely trust the lack of “eh’s” either…

      • quincyillinois says:

I’m going to keep two eyes on her. She’s gorgeous, intelligent and funny. Canadians are incredibly polite. They have boats loaded with excellent manners. I try to pretend to be Canadian when dealing with European members of international web sites. I have xeroxed copies of the Maple leaf that I tape onto my suitcase when I travel.

Canadian in Montreal hold anti government protests on Saturdays. They all have balloons. The police warn you when you are going into your hotel and they give you the exact hours of the demonstrations. Everyone plans their day around the protests. The balloons were great and they sang too. It was like the 4th of July parades in Quincy except we like the US and they don’t like Canada.

Hey Everyone! Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays to all of you! sorry if I worried you–it has been eventful around here the last few weeks and I just have not had too many moments to myself. This morning it is quiet and I finally had a few hours to myself and am now officially caught up. I will be doing some deep cleaning over the next couple of days, but should still be here, checking in a bit more regularly! I missed you all and the blogs! I am touched that you were looking for me—gave me a warm fuzzy glow and then a bad case of the guilts LOL! I really am okay, just dealing with some issues and some personal demons and did not want to post until I was in a bit better frame of mind.
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday, however you celebrated, and am happy to see we all seem to have come back healthy and safe!

      • Duchess of Dryer Lint says:

HA! And I was thinking of you day before yesterday–I went to Sam’s to buy my deep freeze items for the month and they were running this special where if you signed up for a membership you would get a free cheesecake. I was in a “mood” so just to kill time while my hubs was parking I was giving the manager some hell because I am a loyal member and I want my cheesecake too! You popped into my head and I just started laughing and walked away from him. I was thinking “You just wait until I tell my buddy I was denied free cheesecake simply because I already joined your stupid club. She is gonna come down here and whup you good!”
        🙂

Duchess missed you…glad you are back. Christmas was stressful for us, glad it’s over.

My dog Ceasar is a big goofy German shepherd who thinks he is human. I put a half bottle of red wine out in the garage (where the dogs spend some time, they also come in the house but prefer the garage, even now in winter). It was up on top of some stuff, I thought out of reach. But no, somehow one of the dogs got the bottle down, managed to get the stopper out, but they didn’t break the bottle. The dogs didn’t lap up the spilled wine either so I guess they don’t imbibe. I’m really impressed that the bottle didn’t break. So Ceasar must have grabbed the bottle in his mouth, because if it had fallen, it would have broken. Now how in the world did they get the stopper out?

I have been shuttling down yummy treats but they still won’t let me play……so it’s me, my laptop, the dogs and a fire in the fireplace!

Watching the Bear’s game and you guys are getting some more snow. It makes me sleepy just watching the snow fall on t.v.

  70. Andrea says:

Very interesting post. It’s worth thinking about it.

  71. Adgirl says:

Wow did you guys have a good holiday?? How many of you are secretly relieved it’s over?

I escaped another uncomfortable family day by putting on a movie (Slumdog Millionaire).
This prevented the inevitible political conversation. My brother is (seriously) an anarchist. He organizes and participates in all kinds of events. Frequently the events devolve into riots. He doesn’t see that perhaps this is antisocial behavior. And who cares if someone becomes upset when their store, home or car are wrecked (capitalist sheep!)
My husband is a mid-west small town boy who is conservative and outspoken.

There are other dynamics too, but let me say that typically I dread family get togethers, but I feel forced to host them because our family is small and my mother expects them.

    So glad it’s over.

    • quincyillinois says:

LOL… we just sat around and talked to a 16 month old. She babbles non stop, but we think we are hearing words.

      • Adgirl says:

LOL, I’m sure your 16 month old’s utterances are more sensible and interesting than my family’s!

        How was the kitchen received??

        • quincyillinois says:

She played for hours. The other grandmother sent 90 pieces of plastic food and the set came with 120 pieces. My daughter will be picking up 210 pieces of plastic food every night. That should keep her in shape for the delivery in July.

Everyone here including grandpa take long winter naps after the tryptophan feasts so I end up being quiet for hour after hour. There is no barn or animals. It kills me through out food that the cats would eat.

          • knocknoc says:

what do you mean no barn, no animals……..

              • quincyillinois says:

In IL with her mom and brother. Sister and her brother hollow out caves in the hair for winter accomondations. When you take the bales away in the spring you find the “rooms” and “hallways.”

                • quincyillinois says:

                  hay… I don’t know why I wrote hair..

The cats live in the hay…
in winter… In summer, they sleep on top of the hay.

    • boston02127 says:

@Adgirl —I was counting the hours for the holiday to be over. I tried to make the best of it but I’m so glad it’s done with.

    • TLM says:

@Adgirl I try to remind myself that scenarios like the one you describe are playing out all over America as we speak (esp. with people snowed in who thought they were going home today). In fact, I’m sure the reason so many of my items were viewed on Ebay was that people were escaping their families by getting on the computer. LOL. Frankly, I would not want to be in a house with certain family members. But I do miss being invited over to friends’ homes to hang out and look at the tree, watch TV etc., like happened when I was younger. But I’m single, and everyone my age is with their respective family units. I had hoped I would be invited by different people regardless — kind of like Gary on thirtysomething, for anyone who remembers that show — but no one has. A friend complained to me about the parade of relatives he thinks are crazy that would be coming through his home the past few days, and I said I’d love to hang out if he didn’t mind one more crazy person (jokingly). He said sure, then when it came to specifics backed out of it by saying he didn’t feel well. I certainly don’t want to be a pest to anyone, but I figured years have gone by where I didn’t ask to come over, so maybe people thought I wasn’t interested in doing so. I guess all I can do is ask. Anyhow I’m sorry about the tension, but it sounds like you sidestepped it with the movie. Sounds like that was a good plan!

I agree with you about Kim. I don’t think Kroy would have been interested in her if she wasn’t on TV so he might want to be in a reality show too. They might be the perfect match.

I don’t think that Kim has been wise with her money. Her children will be grown in a few years and those child support payments will disappear.

    • OneMoreInBoston says:

Lynn, while I agree with almost everything you say about Kim, I just like her. I don’t know why, maybe she’s just so OTT and so unapologetic about it- I can’t dislike her. Even though you’re right on target with your observations.

it was good business for the DJ, NeNe, and kandi to “let” Kim use them- and they all got more publicity because of her.

sorry- quincy- no victims here, other than her kids.

    • HD says:

I pray they do not give that woman a show! However if they did it might be interesting. Kim is always finding herself in situations that add a story line to the show.

    Lynn,

To echo many of the sentiments above, I want to thank you for creating this blog and all of your hard work. I truly enjoy seeing a new blog every day and can tell you that this has become a highlight of my day. You have an amazing gift and I’m so happy that you finally got the platform to display it. Thank you so much!!!!

  76. Adgirl says:

    Interesting blog about Kim.
I don’t dislike her as much as others do.
Personally, I find Kim outragous, cartoonish, self absorbed and profoundly lazy. I don’t find her to be as mean spirited as some people do.
My memory is a little fuzzy but I have the impression that NeNe was the agressor last season over the Tardy song and NeNe also set up the wig tugging meeting at the restaurant with Sheree.
NeNe can be aggresive and a bully when she sets her mind to it. She has a big temper.

I think Bravo makes $$ whenever Kim or LuAnn’s songs are sold so Andy’s pushing them on WWHL is part of their integrating and pushing Bravocentric products.

Kandi knows all about Kim is and her griping this year is silly. Unless Kim had a motivation transplant she is not going to work hard for anything. Ever. Remember the hairdressing school?

Bravo is probably underwriting part of the brief tour Kandi and Kim are on.
I don’t feel bad for Kandi in this situtation at all. She is getting huge exposure as an artist and producer on ATL. In fact that is pretty much her whole storyline on ATL. That and Beef Curtains.

As for Big Poppa & Kroy. I don’t believe in dating married men. I don’t believe in dating much if you are a single mother.
Kim deserves to be dumped on about dragging her girls through a series of relationships.

    • quincyillinois says:

Those girls are a product of the home of Kim Zolciak. I wonder if the person paying child support/father/grandfather is watching Kim spend all of that money on herself. I bet he tunes in every week and keeps notes.

  81. TLM says:

What is the deal with Adrienne and Taylor’s husbands on RHOBH being late? Aren’t the men usually the ones trying to rush women along? Actually, it was the same with Juicy Joe taking his sweet time when Teresa was — hello — GOING INTO LABOR? Is the notion that women take longer to get ready, or delay everyone else a fallacy?

Just saw the teaser for RHONYC. I am really not sure I can watch another season if Kelly is there, and they’re already showing Jill crying again over something, which is just irritating to me. I’m not really interested in Jill, Sonja, LuAnn or Kelly, and I think I was only interested in Ramona and Alex to the extent they were involved with Bethenny. The idea of Alex fighting with Jill or Sonja is about as interesting to me as watching paint dry. Doubtful that the latest housewife is going to keep me interested in the show either. Oh, I’m sure I’ll eventually wind up seeing all of it, but I’m not really excited about it or looking forward to it. It kind of has become another DC franchise. It sort of begs the question, with all the dynamic women in NYC, many who own their own businesses, can’t Bravo find one who is sharp-witted like Bethenny — but has her own style — to add interest to the show? I guess this is what Bravo thought it was getting when it brought Kelly in, but boy was that a wrong number.

I think the Morocco trip is beyond contrived and seems to have been based on the second Sex And the City movie. To me these trips beg the question, why is Bravo trying to make this show into something it isn’t? The name of the show is the Real Housewives of NYC, not RH of Morocco. I thought the idea is that the women are in their city, and that’s what makes it unique. I would rather they showcase things around the city than take these trips overseas. And I really don’t want to see people getting nauseous on a trip or going insane like we saw last season.

Personally, I don’t understand how any legal department at NBC Universal gave the green light to bring Kelly back for another season. This is clearly a woman with deep psychological problems, and there’s no indication that anything has changed, or that she sought any kind of treatment. It’s actually offensive to me that they would extend an offer to her after what happened last season.

    • Had Enough! says:

It reminds me a lot of the Jenny Jones program, where they didn’t screen the guests for mental stability, and then put them together in unpleasant situations. They had an episode called same-sex crush, where one guy confessed to a friend of his that he was secretly in love with the friend. The friend, who had a history of mental illness and substance abuse, later killed the guy who confessed. The victim’s family sued the producers and won a $25 million judgment though it was later overturned on appeal by a Michigan state court. However, I think today the result would be very different, especially in New York. If Kelly hurt herself or someone else, I think it would be very likely that Bravo and Shed and NBC/Universal would be held liable. Unlike the Jenny Jones situation, where they had no reason to know this guy or his background, Bravo and Co. have had plenty of evidence of Kelly’s instability and problems and really should think twice before putting her back on the air.

Can you imagine what would happen if ZAAAAAAAAAAARIN turns on her? Vicious bitch ZAAAAAAARIN? KooKooPuff would disintegrate.

I completely agree! What the hell is next- full on physical violence out of her? Attempted suicide? will they be happy about the ratings then?
it just seems so opportunistic and voyeuristic, lets see what the crazy lady will do next! Meanwhile, she needs some meds, and a quiet padded room instead.

      • klmh says:

Could not agree with you three more. This lady doesn’t need to be exploited for her mental illness. I just feel I’m peaking into something that should be addressed privately and don’t think the show is going to be something I can watch. She embarrasses me just watching her and its so uncomfortable.

        • Debbie says:

I agree with you guys about Kelly. I remember being really freaked out after watching that “Al Sharpton” episode. I felt then that I wish there had been some type of warning and that Andy, handling the whole thing as a joke was in poor taste. I lost any repsect I had for him and Bravo after all that.

      • Bea from NJ (@sweeetbea on Twitter) says:

OMIB “lets see what the crazy lady will do next! Meanwhile, she needs some meds, and a quiet padded room instead.” Well said .. we see much of this everywhere .. esp. on Twitter 🙂

    • WindyCityWondering says:

It will be interesting to see if Kelly lasts the whole season – the leash better be very short! From online reading, Kelly is worse off camera than on camera….without Bethenny there – whose gonna check her boo???

Ok I cannot stop watching this-I’ve watched it a million times. 1972…Italian star Adriano Celantano. You’ve gotta watch . Seriously. It’s a cross between Fellini and DeLaurentis. The choreography reminds me of what I was sneaking into Studio 54 dancing in the 70’s when I was still in high school:

      • Blue Sky says:

Wow, where was I in the ’70’s – that is some sexy dancing! Out in the Midwest, we didn’t have discos with dancers like that.

      • Kat says:

You made me think of Jennifer Beals in Flashdance and Patrick Swayze & Jennifer Grey in Dirty Dancing. I’m in the wrong decade of course… but thanks for the memories.

Rich Amons stated in twitter that “Inbox Full” by Cat Ommanney is hot.

    http://catherineommanney.com/inboxfullexcerpt.pdf

Is a link to the online hype….

It’s a diary/ journal never meant to be seen by anyone other than Cat O

I may buy it….for the team …. I have to see if it’s available anywhere.

    • quincyillinois says:

That sounds familiar… Her issue in her first marriage was her husband worked too much. That’s right, marry successful men and then be surprised that they work all of the time. She also says that she was a trophy wife to Tom, her first husband. I am a trophy wife too so I know how hard that is. Dusting all of the kids’s trophies is a real chore.

      • Adgirl says:

That would be a trophy mom. LOL.
Does Dr Quincy have any golf, tennis or other doctor-like sports trophies? Maybe you gave him one for the first and only time he shoveled snow or manure? LOL.

        • quincyillinois says:

Oh, no… this man doesn’t play sports. He is so weak. When I was 10 months pregnant with a 10 lb 5oz baby boy, he asked me to move boxes of heavy journals to our truck and take them to UPS for Rockford Med School/U of I’s library. I did it too. I am the work horse… in our family.

    • TLM says:

I think Rich Amons is hot… and he’s from Philly and used to go to the Jersey shore in summer (per Lynn’s interview). Bummed that I never met him!! Ha!! But I can’t deny he and Mary are the perfect couple. I know she wasn’t everyone’s favorite, but I adore her.

  86. American Idiot says:

We are having a mega snowstorm her in Northern New Jersey. Six inches of snow with alot more to come. High winds and sooo cold too. The whole family is home, and no one is going anywhere. Kind of nice to all be together for the second night in a row.

My dog is having a hard time doing his “business” I’m trying to clear a spot, but he wants his nightly walk, so I may have to brave the elements and take him.

Hopefully we won’t lose power. Going to check and see if Atlanta is on.

  87. Pantry Viewer says:

Hey everyone – long time no see! Hope all is well.

Okay, the commercial for RHONY that’s out now, I really don’t think that’s Alex that Sonja is fussing at and telling to leave, is it? What do you all think? I think the hair is too blond to be Alex. The shot of Alexing say she’s just a thug in a cocktail dress, I’m assuming is trying to make us think she’s speaking of Sonja, but I’m hoping not.

    Opinions, please?

Oh, and Jill crying in the car – UGH! That face she’s making as she is crying like a cow looks just like the picture of her on the banner of our site here 🙂 And LuMann’s boyfriend? I could so care less! I can’t stand fake LuAnn and don’t care to watch a moment of her. So can’t stand to watch Jill or LuAnn or Kelly – not sure if I’ll make it through this season!

    • HD says:

I was thinking that hair was too blond to be Alex as well. When Alex said thug in a cocktail dress or whatever, I am just not thinking that is a bad thing. I think something happened and Alex was using it as a “compliment” to one of the women in the group. Bravo always pulls us in with these clips but I am on to them.

I really think Bravo might be trying to bring on the drama since Bethanny is leaving and the whole show was elevated with the Bethanny vs. Jill feud. With no more feud, they have to create some drama. Quite honestly like you none of the women are that interesting. I hate Jill, Luann is blah and who cares about her boyfriend, Kelly is crazy and never did anything interesting, Alex is okay but she is very normal so in terms of reality TV there is not a lot there. The only person other than Bethanny that I really like is Ramona. Hopefully the new woman adds some spice to the show but I have a feeling this might be a manufactured season.

I could be wrong though and drama and catfights might happen. 🙂

      • HD says:

When I said “quite honestly, like you” I meant that in terms of Luann and her boyfriend. I started watching TV and not paying attention fully.

        • Adgirl says:

          Hey HD, great remarks.
I really hope that wasn’t Alex that Sonja called rude. I can’t imagine Alex being rude, however she did go out of her way to call Jill a mean girl at that never-made-it housewife’s cocktail party with a pantry last season. So maybe Alex could ruin a party if Jill was involved.

Actually, I was kind of hoping that was Allison Medium Drunk in a blond wig forecasting divorces at Sonja’s until Sonja throws her out.

          • HD says:

I am reading what I wrote again and soooooooooo cracking up!!! Pantry Viewer please know that I was NOT saying that you were not interesting! Please! 🙂 I totally bombed that sentence.

@Ad Girl- I totally forgot Sonja in my list. I like her as well. She seems to have an interesting life. I cannot imagine Sonja and Alex having words. Honestly, I cannot imagine Alex having words with anyone. Even when she said “mean girl” I thought why all the fuss? Honey if I was on that show mean girl wouldn’t have been the highlight of the night, me telling Jill to STFU would have stole the night! LOL!

            • Adgirl says:

LOL. I only wish that Alex could have run over to the pantry and locked the door or shoved the refrigerator in front of it.

              • Pantry Viewer says:

LOL! No worries, HD! I didn’t read it that way at all 🙂 AdGirl, it would have been SO awesome had Alex shoved the frig over the infamous pantry door! We can dream!

        • TLM says:

Yeah, I mean I’m happy Luann found happiness after having an empty marriage, and with a younger guy to boot, but somehow I just can’t get interested in her relationship. And I don’t want to see her sing, or to see that weird albino producer dude anymore.

    • Kansas Girl says:

I just saw it again. It looks like she’s talking to a blonde in a black dress. It’s not clear who the blonde is, but in the next clip, Kelly is getting out of a car with someone else (I was looking so hard at Kelly, I don’t know who the other woman is), and Kelly has on a black dress. So, my theory is it’s Kelly. I’m watching all the reruns tonight, so hoping it’s on again.

  88. Mookies1mom says:

Well, I’m late to the party. But I hope everyone had a wonderful day yesterday. I had my first ever white Christmas so that made it even better! I hope everyone has a great new year! I have been playing catch up because I went into some kind of psychotic baking thing for the last 2 weeks. My husband was sweet about it saying that I wasn’t psychotic, just dedicated.

I do read the blog everyday and many thanks to Lynn for bringing us all together! I love your take on the Housewives and then the discussions that follow are something I look forward to everyday.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy new year!

    • Blue Sky says:

Isn’t it amazing that 1 can of 29 ounce pumpkin puree makes 4 or 5 loaves of pumpkin bread? My family got sick of eating pumpkin bread! Yesterday while shopping at the grocery store (when a blizzard hits, you have to get to the store fast here in NJ because all the milk, bread, eggs etc. will be sold out fast) why did I buy 2 more cans? It is like a disease, lol.

      • Blue Sky says:

And Happy New Year, hope your holiday was super too. For at least the last 3 blogs, I’ve been posting holiday messages…can’t wait for the holidays to be over already.

Trying to see my sister & her family is becoming a joke. Now with the blizzard…may not see them until next summer!

  91. TrueLifeDiva says:

@QuincyIl, ENOUGH! You are not the wedding planner. There are TWO brides here and you keep forgetting I have a say in this. I’ve sat quietly by while you’ve made choices without consulting me.

    1. Everbody getting drunk… I don’t drink but have you made arrangements for an organic juice bar? (No bananas I’m allergic) How rude!

    2. In a barn? I only wear 6″ stillettos. How am I gonna do “The Electric Slide” in my slingbacks in a barn?

    3. WSL will be singing at the reception with Kat and Noelle as backup singers.

There is no way in hell I’m allowing that SLORE Kim Z. to ruin my perfect day! Enough is enough Quincy. I didn’t mean to yell but you are getting out of control. Next thing you’ll have Danielle pole dancing at the bachlorette party and Sheree designing the dresses…

    • quincyillinois says:

You forgot Kentucky’s finest bourbon in the tire. The stilletos are no problem in the barn. The main part of the barn where I keep the 5,000 bales of alfalfa hay and the tractors, wagons, trailers and two trucks is cement. I will move all of that out and power wash the floor, walls and ceiling. It’s going to be clean, have no fear.

This is going to be a lot nicer than the dinosaur Atlanta wedding or the Four seasons wedding with that silly stage. We are a loft and a very nice stairway for you to walk down in the white gown. We have water features… tanks with fresh water for the horses… Your guests can go into the tanks and splash around when they get sufficiently drunk.

The wedding of a life time…..

      • Adgirl says:

“Water features … tanks with fresh water for the horses…” LOL. We used to put fish in our horse’s water troughs to eat bugs. Funny to watch the fish nibble on the horse noses.

        • quincyillinois says:

LOL… I can just imagine all of the board dressed up in Anne Oakley costumes. Theme wedding…

          • quincyillinois says:

shhhhhh… we have two brides…it’s going to be harder to plan a wedding…. Have you ever watched the Bridgezilla show on tv? If we are succesful with this wedding, we may get the Slade and Gretchen gig….

      • Had Enough! says:

I will bake a wedding CHEESECAKE!

    • TLM says:

@Twoile Responding down here since the thread was getting so narrow! I would go on Ebay and do some searches for the artwork you are looking to sell to get an idea of what category to list it in, and what the average asking price is. You can then either set your price lower to be competetive, or have a reserve price to guarantee the minimum you would accept. You can price it higher than comps, but also add a “best offer” option. These are all different strategies for pricing, but you have to decide what’s right for you and what is the rock-bottom price you will accept. Usually people think what they have is worth more than it will actually bring in the marketplace. On the other hand, once in a while I have posted things I didn’t really expect to bring much, and there were bidding wars over them. It’s an ongoing education. 😉 The toughest thing for me to do is under-price things when I personally remember what I paid for it and I still think it’s an amazing item. But if the goal is to sell it, then it’s only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it.

I wouldn’t want you to undervalue your art, though. If your artwork is rare or you aren’t sure of its value or who the artist is, you may be better off getting an appraisal and going through private dealers instead of Ebay. Art isn’t my area of expertise; I sell clothing, shoes and bags mostly. Good luck!!

  96. I am not a hater says:

I am sure you will delete this. You say you post everything but you lie. You are such
A hypocrite it is crazy! How can you say you hate “hate” and author a hate blog. You know by now that housewives arw scripted so why still hate on Jill? Did she do something to you? She should. She should sue you for every penny you have. Let wall street lady pay your legal fees. But Jill has way too much class and doesn’t care about little people like you who fall in love with desperate people on the I ternet with zero real life. Poor thing. You really think bloggers are real friends yet you have never met them eye to eye? Know the names of their kids or have anything in common except hate blogging. I hope dina sues you too! Hah!

    • LynnNChicago says:

No, I never said I posted everything – I delete moronic posts like yours but its the holidays, so have at it.

What exactly would Jill and Dina sue me for? Blogging about Top Chef and Real Housewives of Atlanta? Show me the hatred in my blogs you moron! Why do you think they haven’t sued me? They recoginze it is just the name of a blog you moron.

Jill has class? Now I know you’re delusional you moron.

Since you’re here I guess that makes you just like the rest of us, no real life? Did I mention you were a moron?

    • Rabble Rouser says:

Sue Lynn for what exactly? There is no law saying you have to like someone.

If Jill is on a scripted ‘reality’ show, does that make HER and not Lynn the big fat liar.

Jill Zarin is just a big bully who’s figure skates are tied to tight. But not for the fact that she married Bobby, she would be working at Bed, Bath and Beyond (not that there is anything wrong with that) and unable to hustle people for 16k purses or nag her poor husband that her new SUV doesn’t have a docking station for her I-pod.

    • TLM says:

Does anyone else think this sounds like Kelly Bensimon??

  97. jeang says:

Is the loony bin giving out weekend passes? So sad, all that frustrated anger and too impotent to do anything about it. You can’t sue someone for expressing an opinion, it’s called freedom of speech. Most of the HouseWives are too busy avoiding foreclosures or hawking products on Twitter to even worry about us…or YOU.
And as the young kids say, “Boo Bitch Bye!”

  99. Adgirl says:

Remember the Pinky Promise. Silence is golden.

  100. Adgirl says:

OT for real. Have any of you ladies ever built a shed from scratch? I priced the ones from Home Depot and they seem ridiculously expensive.

  101. Adgirl says:

    Uh oh. Mommy is mad!

  102. TrueLifeDiva says:

@AdGirl, don’t limit yourself to sheds. I got two examples:
Years ago I was going to give my Godson a rabbit for his birthday. All the rabbit cages at Petco seemed small and expensive. I had a large cage in mind like the one I had for my guinea pig, but it was custom built. Well, I turned a corner and found myself in the Ferret section. The cages were larger and cheaper. I bought a large two-story ferret cage for less than a small rabbit cage.

I was remodeling my condo and wanted custom closets. When I priced them it ran $2500-$3000 each and I had three to redo. Well, I did some research and found a cheap system with the elements I wanted at Kmart and Target. I assembled the shoe closet, drawers, and shelves myself. Then I had a handyman reinforce it all with stronger laminate boards and got three custom closets for just under $1,000.
Sometimes you gotta think outside the box.

    • Adgirl says:

      TLD thanks for the ideas!
I like to do things myself but I don’t know how to use a circular saw and I’m afraid I’m little scared of them! If my husband were a doctor who could reattach stray digits then I might learn how to use the saw. My husband is useless around the house (although he has other charms).
I love it that you figured out how to get what you wanted without the price tag!

I live in a mid-century modern (A Don Draper era ranch house) so I really don’t want to put a metal shed in my yard. The modern style shed plans are too large and they cost around $8000 to build, so I’ll have to design it myself. I was thinking about going to the salvage yard and buying a patio sliding door to start with. I have all winter to think about it.

      • Buffywood says:

AdGirl, circular saws are easy. I’ve gutted and completed two rooms here. Building a shed is not that difficult. I wouold definately price out the supplies first though. You would be surprised have pricy lumber has gotten these past 2 years, you may be better off with a pre-built.

Where are you from? Here in PA we have the Amish that build great sheds that are pretty cheap. Is there any “country” near you? Any group that would make them cheaper than you could get at home depot?

        • Blue Sky says:

Or you can buy salvaged wood or just pick up wood from a site where they are demolishing a building. Recycling may get you a free shed, check it out!

        • Buffywood says:

As a follow-up, my house in PA is in the suburbs and to put up a “permenant shed” I needed a permit. I got one of the Rubbermaid ones I I love it.

Have never seen lightening in a snowstorm. Be safe WSL :)xoxo Give WSM my best! xo

    • Kansas Girl says:

It’s called thunder snow around here and it’s not unknown. The lightening lights the snow and it’s kind of pretty in a different way than usual.

This sounds like the storms we had in the midwest last Christmas. We got snowed in for Christmas. Wish I’d had Lynn’s blog then to talk to! We all said we were grateful for Facebook to keep us entertained.

    • quincyillinois says:

Lightning is common in all storms. It’s the lower temps in the air near the earth that makes the snow and ice, but it’s warmer up in the clouds. I watch it all of the time. You are hearing the thunder because you are so high so you notice the flashes. I watch the sky 24/7. I am your personal warning system.

      • quincyillinois says:

I want to start a forensics division at IHJZ where we collect these drive by posts and compare them to the stars twitter. Twitter is the more real utterance of these women because their blogs are sometimes ghost written. Someday, it we could make matches between Susan Saunders or Dina’s hairless cat and these posts through the use of modern science.

There are the nice posts that come and are insulting, but so nice about it that I actually let them stand when I had my moment in the sun last week. The think they fool Lynn, me, and the board, but there is not a single fool here.

I thought that there might be a number of attacks while Lynn was away because there were twitter discussions about this. It really didn’t happen as the entire board had their radar systems turned on and the couple of “iffy” posts were ignored. I answered because I wanted them to know that I was checking the board.

Whenever people feel slighted, they can react negatively and in an unexpected way. No one can see our emotions here and it’s hard to convey emotions through the written page although some great authors and some of our great posters have learned how to do this every day.

What amazes me is “drive by posters” complain about the use of the word “hate” in the title of the blog, but their posts are filled with insults and venom. Do they not see the irony in that?

I don’t blame Jill Zarin for hating this site. She is the only reality star with a successful blog and board discussion that has the name of a Bravo reality star in it. There were no “I hate Danielle Staub” web sites born to my knowledge. Jill probably thinks she has been singled out and punished for her bad behavior when her friends have behaved badly and not punished. If Jill reads this site and sees the reasoned conversations from intelligent women, it would bother her more as it’s much easier to discount the twitter of mobs.

So…. Lynn…. Let’s keep the hits in a special forensic file. It’s going to make a great blog someday. I love science, don’t you all?

        • Blue Sky says:

Yes it truly is ironic that if Jillzilla could read this blog, then get a very good therapist, there might be hope for her to see exactly why we dislike her behavior so much. Do the people in her close family/friends circle all behave like her, so she’s validated for her behavior? Or do they just keep their mouths shut…something for all of them to ponder. Is it right to marry a man only for money? And give blow jobs for jewelry – she talked about that on the show! Ewww. Keep that to yourself, Jill. Is it right to be so jealous of a co-star getting her own show that Jill tried to ruin Bethenny? There’s plenty more. Jill did try to “change.” She hired public relations people. Please, your personality comes from your heart Jill. Until you change that…all the PR in the world won’t help you.

Sonja married for money, but somehow because she does show a good heart, we don’t dislike her for that. Sonja does care about people, she’s not as selfish as Jill. I loved that Sonja saw how crazy Kelly was on Scary Island, and she got the other ladies to realize it too.

          • quincyillinois says:

After watching the episode where the car was not good enough for Gloria and they would rent new cars…. I thought that Jill is a product of her family. I think everyone accepts that tone from the women and they placate them. We have women like this in farmland USA too. They are everywhere and that is why discussing Jill rings with so many women.

  105. TrueLifeDiva says:

@AdGirl, I just had a thought. Draw up your own design on the internet. DIY.com, HomeDepot.com, etc. Then place an ad on Craigslist for someone to build it. Either name your own price (based on hrs of work) or take bids on the job. There have to be some out of work or retired handymen/woodworkers in your area who could use the work. Actually gettings bids on the job might be the best idea and maybe you’ll get some suggestions on how to perfect the design of your “shed”

  106. Wall St Lady says:

    Ad Girl
Just some “out of the box” thoughts inspired by TLDiva.
Did u think to check pre fab sheds on line. Also look at Doll houses & Dog houses !
What u plan to do in that shed ?
I hope its not to beat the Ho wives or Lynnfam Haters.

    • Adgirl says:

It’s to house my collection of exhusbands. LOL. Not really.
Although, now that I think of it my husband still has every single text book and his notes from college. I could put those in my new shed.

Actually, I have accidently become the recepticle of of my 23 yr old son’s things (he lives here) and he has a lot of camping equipment stored under the house. It gets damp in there and it’s just not good. He is joining the Conservation Corp so he will be gone for a year.
My closets are bursting and I need space.

      • quincyillinois says:

Check out paid storage if it’s only for a year. We would pay for storage in summer in RI for our daughter’s things. Sheds will be the same temp as the weather and you might get mold. Also…ask relatives… they might have some space since it’s temporary and he is doing this to help America.

  107. klmh says:

    Adgirl:

Every year we go to the home and garden show in town. Some of the sheds there look well made but Im not sure they are the same at Home Depot. You can buy a nice one for less than one thousand though, I believe. Anyway, here is a page to look at if you are interested.
We were in a predicament similar to yours and were even considering adding to the house for more storage space, which would have been around 80 thousand. For more closets. That was the duh moment and so, we ended up cleaning out the closets! We also took one of the rooms and built a 2X8′ closet out from the wall. It reduced the room size just a bit, and it was my husband’s first adventure into this type of carpentry, but he did a pretty darn good job.

Of subject and silly. I’m watching Shep &Tiffany again. The apartment is so like my lasp apartment. Books, couch, stall on one side. In addition I also had the DVDs. I know that probably is the way many living rooms look like, but here is what got my attention the most… The paintings!! I have those! 😛 sorry I did say silly 😛

  109. California35 says:

I’m sorry I missed the talk about NY 😦 I was looking foward to it, but I was out. I likes what you had to say, I hope Sonja didn’t tell Alex to leave, I wonder who that blond is though. So those two Jill and Kelly will be back .. Ugh how can that be, Jill didn’t want Alex there but she will be in it…plus she looked so bad in and off camera on last season, how can she show her face again? Kelly if not before, but surely after “scary island” showing how weird and Loony she is. About boring Luanne, I guess could have a story line with her dating and NOT be around Jill. Still, I could care less… So basically, I will be focus on Ramona, Alex and Sonja. As well as who ever new girl who joins the show. I hope not that party planer who no one liked!

    • TLM says:

It looked to me like Sonja did tell Alex to leave; I watch TV a lot on my computer on Windows Media Center, so I can rewind if I need to (it’s the best feature!!). I have to say I thought Alex’s outburst at Jennifer Gilbert’s house last season was in such poor taste, as was the outburst at Ramona’s skincare launch. Both times she should have taken Jill aside privately to voice her opinions. At least she did that at the Saks party. If she was doing another one of those freakouts, I wouldn’t blame Sonja for cutting it off and asking her to leave.

    • LynnNChicago says:

Nope, no Jennifer Gilbert, the new housewife replacing Bethenny is a woman named Cindy Barshop, she owns a string of salons that are famous for bedazzling the vajayjay lol

Good morning. Snowy & windy here. Quincy are you still in CT?

    • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

How much snow did you get Boston?

    • quincyillinois says:

Yes… 6 to 10 inches, but this house is on a small mountain and the wind really whips. This is the first time I have been East in winter. We like to take vacations with our daughter as the center of the trip.

Our youngest moved to St. Paul, MN. It’s our plan to visit there in summer too. You can imagine why we thought that would be wise.

    • quincyillinois says:

Sure… she can forgive Kelsey for all that he has done, but can’t forgive Kyle for supposedly saying, “Why would anyone want you without Kelsey.” That makes sense to me.

      • quincyillinois says:

BTW, see what I say about walking away from stupid statements by women? If Kyle, he simply stated that she did not say that every time she was confronted, Camille and her posse would have absolutely no ammunition. It was the “get thee to thy therapist” comments that are affecting Kyle’s life and her husband’s occupation. Think Kelsey would care about the “without Kelsey” statement? No… that would be complimenting him.

Yep…… we dig our own graves when it comes to cat fights. Step back…. think… tell them that you are submitting their posts to the IHJZ forensic file for further analysis and walk. Do the same in the twitter wars. Delete future attacks…they had their chance to be reasonable.

All web sites should develop our strategy.

Not the Reese Witherspoon web site though… I may be posting my thoughts there as soon as I figure out how they are getting those thousands of legit email addresses. I am watching over that pretend Canadian girl, eh?

Jon Gosselin Gets a Job, and It’s Not a Reality TV Show

After months staying out of the limelight, Jon Gosselin has finally landed a real job and gotten his life back together.

Morning Boston~we had about 4 inches 2 days ago~I was just thinking it will be 60 here on Friday~that’s my day to volunteer at the VFW Club. What’s it like where you are?
I still have some family in NYC but I am Hopkinsville, KY now.
Most of our snow is melted already.

  114. TLM says:

There’s one person whose perspective on Camille I have really missed, and it’s Bethenny’s.

Since Bethenny famously tweeted she was “wondering if I’m the only one who can’t get over the self-important nonsense that is rachel zoe,” and said she found Teresa “whiny and unintelligent” and thought Luann should “get over yourself” for her rules on how to be addressed in front of limo drivers, well, what do you think she would have to say about Camille? Come on, Bethenny, throw us a crumb!

Actually, B will be speaking in Philadelphia January 21, and I would bet this will be a question from the audience. I’d love to go, but unfortunately it’s not in the budget right now. I think tickets are around $75.

Don’t know if someone already posted this, but apparently Bravo is nervous about B’s limited appearances on the new season of RHONYC. If I were Bravo, I’d be nervous too. http://www.realitytea.com/2010/12/20/report-bravo-is-worried-about-bethenny-frankels-absence-on-nyc-housewives/

    • quincyillinois says:

They really hit her back in interviews and the reunions over the years, but they were doing the same without out laughter.

Bethenny stopped reviewing other shows on line too. Too many angry phone calls, I’m sure.

Criticizing the stars will have to be our domain. We are strong and we can take their complaints.

      • Had Enough! says:

I have a feeling that Bethenny really is coming from a place of yes and positive since Bryn was born. Avoiding toxicity doesn’t mean just avoiding Jill Zarin. It means not creating toxicity, either. Yes, toxicity with a dose of humor is a bit less toxic, but it is still not good. It is like people who write something nasty or cutting in an e-mail and then end it with a winky or laughy emoticon. I think Bethenny realized that not everyone appreciates her humor, and more, that it was not always humorous, and that it was more often than not gratuitous and totally unnecessary. Why should she make a comment about Rachel Zoe? What was the point? Who asked her? So one thing about Bethenny is that she is self-aware (to the point of pain) and I think she just took a hard look at herself and what she was doing and decided to knock it off.

        • quincyillinois says:

I think she was commenting on society when she was mentioning Rachel Zoe more than Rachel Zoe, but Zoe would never pick up on that.

If we live in Kelly Bensimon land, no one would make comments about others except Kelly. It is ok for Kelly to tell us about a model eating out of a can of tuna fish but we should not discuss her diet/exercise which she submitted to a magazine.

Jill Zarin makes really nasty comments about many people, but she is also allowed to do that. I could list them, but it’s Christmas time.

        • TLM says:

You’re right, but I just miss her comments. I am sure she’s discussing with personal friends, just not the press for the reasons people stated here. But I bet it will come up in her live appearances, and I can’t imagine her watering down her opinions there.

      Who is Miss SnowFlake?

  118. TLM says:

Gretchen has to pay $40K to her ex, apparently, and Simon Barney has filed Chapter 13 bankruptcy (see link below). I still don’t understand why Gretchen has to pay her ex, and it’s been so long since all that started, I don’t know how she slandered him. If he was the ex she was talking about on the reunion show for RHOOC, she never said his name.

How interesting is it that both Vicki and Tamra, who sat together and scorned Gretchen 2 reunions ago, are now both divorced. I’m a natural cynic, and even I didn’t predict that.

At first I thought there would be no way Gretchen could afford $40K, but apparently she is selling handbags on shopnbc.com for $350 a pop, still has her makeup line, and is selling clothes from her closet and things from her house online. Her website redirects people to Ebay. I thought her bags were very disappointing and did not at all warrant the prices she’s charging, but if people will pay it, more power to Gretchen, I guess.

    http://www.realitytea.com/2010/12/24/gretchen-rossi-asked-to-fork-over-40000-to-ex-simon-barney-files-bankruptcy/

    • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

      Hi TLM~
I always thought Vicky wanted something more than friendship from Tamra?
Maybe they can share a place..lol
I think that’s why Simon wanted to keep Tamra away from her.
Maybe both housewives will be happier now.
My niece is gay & has been married to a woman for about 12 yrs & they live in Vermont & are extremely happy.

      • TLM says:

Didn’t know if you were kidding, but I don’t think there was any romantic interest between Tamra and Vicki. I think the issues were pretty much what we saw on camera: Simon was controlling and Vicki was concerned for her friend. In Vicki’s marriage, I think she just couldn’t pry herself away from her business. She felt driven by it and I can’t say she was wrong, since she was pretty much the only solvent OC housewife by the end of everything (with the possible exception of Lauri). I think divorce was a positive thing for Tamra but I was saddened by Vicki’s split because I thought things were really working out for her and Donn.

        • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

          I wasn’t kidding~just a thought.
I was saddened by both break ups but I also thought Vicki
was just as mean to Donn as Simon was to Tamra.
If it wasn’t televised how she treated him they might have been able to get past it.
How many times can you put work before your spouse if you are alright money wise but just want more?
I would rather have more time with my spouse than more money or a bigger house, car etc.
After losing 2 husbands, one to cancer & one to a heart attack, that’s just how I feel.

        • quincyillinois says:

TLM, there were discussions like the one at the end of the season at the hotel where Vicki wanted Tamara to chose their friendship over Simon I think that it’s wrong for a girl friend to do that. It’s selfish. Vicki only thinks in terms of Vicki. When her daughter is sick, Vicki thinks about how this affects Vicki’s work and Vicki’s need for her daughter. The daughter is a very intelligent and normal person, who see this and has learned to deal with her mother.

          Anyway…. I see what B loves kitties is talking about… I don’t think it’s sexual…. it’s possessive though.

          • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

            Thank you Q~
            How are things your way?
Vicky also broke the rule of friendship when she brought up what Tamra had told her in confidence.
As long as people are happy & don’t hurt anyone in the process, whatever people choose to do is fine with me.

            • quincyillinois says:

Vicki was hurt when Tamara would go with Simon’s wishes. A wife needs to do that because her relationship with the father of her children should be more important than a TV show or a on tv friendship with another Bravo star.
