IHJZ Watch What Happens Live with Bethenny Frankel

I Hate Jill Zarin Watch What Happens Live January 8, 2010

Andy Cohen hosted Bethenny Frankel on Thursday night’s Watch What Happens Live, she looked great in her little black dress drinking her Skinnygirl Margarita along with Andy.

Andy’s usual three things he’s obsessed with started with Anderson Cooper’s declaration of love for Camille Grammer which had to make you giggle. Coop has an amazing sense of humor and declares his love for the most hated housewife, Camille made no comment on Anderson’s statement, not surprising since it was meant to be a joke.

Number two on Andy’s list was Ken Vanderpump and little Giggy the dog. Andy noted that rather than the pet and his owner looking alike, these two are dressing alike, which is a bit creepy and kind of stupid but as Andy flashed the pictures on the screen, there they were dressed in the same colors and similar clothing.

Finally, Andy played back in slow motion the kiss from his New Year’s show with Tamra Barney. The clearly intoxicated Orange County Housewife, didn’t just give her boss the typical respectful New Year’s kiss, she wanted to make out with Cohen just like she had done seconds before with her boyfriend. This wasn’t even a Camille kissing Nick kind of thing, Tamra slipped Andy the tongue and Andy went for it too!

Bethenny was appropriately shocked and Andy kept reminding her that she had just watched the kiss in super slow-motion making it look even worse, but seeing it live was bad enough.

Andy was scheduled to fly out to Las Vegas yesterday to join Tamra and Gretchen Rossi at The Consumer Electronics Show for Bravo, due to bad weather his flight was cancelled.

Tamra mentioned during that show something about Andy making all the money, then yesterday she tweeted this:

@TamraBarney: It won’t be the same without you, don’t you have a private jet yet?

Even a California blonde should know that if a commercial flight was grounded a private jet has no shot of getting out in bad weather. Tamra seems to be a bit miffed that Andy makes more money than she does, she certainly brings it up a lot.

Andy asked Bethenny what she thought of Cedric’s story on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and it was obvious that Bethenny does watch the show, she simply noted that Cedric could probably benefit from some therapy.

Bethenny spent a little time plugging her products, they were drinking their Skinnygirl Margaritas, she talked about her new Cleanse that just came out and her upcoming speaking tour – details of the tour can be found at BethennyLive.com. I hope she is taking Bryn and Jason with her on the tour, she really does seem lost without them.

Bethenny confirmed that she would like to have another baby, initially she seemed completely against it but she admitted to Andy that if she were younger, she would have a houseful but at 40, she did say she’d like to have at least one more. Hopefully she and Jason are working on that now.

A caller asked about Bethenny’s friendship with Jill Zarin. First she said that the status was, “no” and added that she hadn’t seen Jill since the filming of the reunion. That didn’t surprise those of us who have been following this story, and as Andy and Bethenny thanked the caller she added “I don’t like Jill anyway” I know how you feel, caller.

Obviously Jill was watching as she tweeted to Andy the following morning that she tried to call Bethenny 7-days after filming but never got a return call. I’m surprised she didn’t note the exact date and time of the call, I’m sure it’s in her notes somewhere.

Andy and Bethenny discussed her gig on Skating With The Stars and they both noted that Johnny Weir “Hated” Bethenny, there was no question about that. Andy even played the tape of Weir’s speech telling Bethenny that he didn’t want to watch her skate anymore. Andy reminded everyone that he was in the audience the night that Bethenny’s competitor, Sean Young fell on her ass twice yet still received higher scores from the judges than Bethenny.

I really wished that they had discussed the other two judges, it is clear that Johnny hates Bethenny and I think we all know why, but what the hell was with that Laurie Ann chick and Dick Button? Did Weir convince them to be extra critical of Bethenny before they even began filming?

Weir still had one or two fans after this fiasco, his unprofessional behavior and childlike antics were so evident, I doubt he’ll ever be offered another gig like this on a major network.

A first for Watch What Happens Live, Andy brought on a mystery guest and disguised their voice, allowed Bethenny to ask some questions and then guess who the mystery guest might be. I’m not sure if Bethenny was already drunk by that time but she didn’t seem to “get it” until 2 or 3 questions in and she wasn’t able to identify that the was the mystery guest from Bethenny’s past, Kyle Richards on the Skype until they revealed her face.

Bethenny and Andy filmed an after show, as always and both seemed to be quite tipsy by that point, you can watch the 2 part after show here:

Cohen seems to truly like Bethenny and he clearly enjoys having her on the show. They confirmed that her reality show, “Bethenny Getting Married?” will have a season two with a new title, “Bethenny Ever After” coming very soon to Bravo.

As much as I adore Bethenny, her love for Kim Zolciak is nauseating, Bethenny admitted that she hadn’t watched much of the Atlanta housewives this season. Perhaps Bethenny hasn’t seen just what a selfish horrible bitch Zolciak has become. Bethenny mentioned that she did see the scenes of Phaedra giving birth and calling her baby “gross” which made her angry.

One of the questions during the after show to Bethenny was if she’d agree to be Kyle’s wingman at a dinner party thrown by Camille Grammer. Now that, I’d like to see but Bethenny didn’t seem very open to the idea.

Until Next Time…

Two articles in the NYT today. Saturday Jan 8: One about Andy Cohen that man about town. The seconbd, a review of shows about animal trainers. Evidently Jill is on one of them with Ginger, who licks Jill in a nostril four times. It so grossed the reviewer out she could not watch the rest of the show.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Jill always manages to show her gross side and then can’t figure out why no one thinks she is fabulous! lol I’m remembering when she filmed the nose cleaning wonderdog episode and let it slip….like it was RHNY for a nano second until she got busted! And she wonders why she is “hated”????

      Here are the links:

That was posted yesterday by Had enough (I think!) and is quite delicious in it’s snarkiness on the authors part.

This is also a little snarky about Andy- it paints him as being very insincere.

      • error404 says:

it does? When i read it earlier today, it seemed to go out of its way to say it’s not an act and that he’s been exactly how you see him on tv since he was a little kid. It seemed the opposite of “insincere” to me.

I thought the best part was when they, IMO very accurately described his face as both letting the housewives believe he likes them and letting the audience know he too is laughing at the wives. To me that sums the whole RHof______ franchise up perfectly.

        • Zipit Zarin says:

Amen error! about his face summing up the franchise perfectly. Andy delights in life and has no problem living it, to paraphrase Chewbacka’s opening line. Which brings me to what I thought of whilst reading it…it reminded me of Kelly! Only Kelly is trying to mimic Andy’s life with her zooming in late to parties and zooming out cuz she’s just oh so busy and oh so FABULOUS and has oh so many people to see. Kelly doesn’t delight in people around her; she thinks everyone delights in HER dazzling self and are privileged to have HER around THEM. It says everything about Andy that celebs want to be around him because he’s a grounding influence and everything about Kelly that no one wants to be around her. Unless they are filming and they have to be.

Anyway, love love love this article about Andy. I’ve always wondered how he does that thing where he’s letting the audience know he laughing AT the housewife yet the housewife doesn’t pick up on it. I always thought the HW did, but was under contract to endure it all no matter what and play along. Who knows at this point but the article, at least, shines a light on Andy being his real self. Or did it? (eyebrow wiggle) LOL

          • OneMoreInBoston says:

hmm, maybe I skimmed it too fast? I thought they were making fun of him. I better go back and look

I was a little upset that Simon had tweeted early yesterday, not realizing that a caller asked B about Jill, that B should get over it; it is the past, she’s happy with her life now. He backtracked when the wonderful tweeters let him know that she didn’t bring it up; she was just answering a caller. Are Simon and Jill best friends now? Did he forget what Jill said to Alex and how she was treated by her?

As I told Lynn yesterday, because of my tweat to Jill about her tweat to Andy, I am now officially blocked.

As Bethenny said to Kelly on Scary Island “You can’t handle the truth!” LOL.

Can’t wait for B’s new season!

    • klmh says:

I think most men can let go of some things easier than women, including friendships. I really don’t think Simon meant anything by it, and I think all of us would agree with him if she had been the person bringing the relationship up again. He realized it was a question from a fan and backtracked.

  4. error404 says:

Johnny Weir has an almost fanatical fan base. I was shocked to see on skating sites the next day comments like “Good for Johnny, he really gave it to whoever that whinny woman is! Johnny rocks!” etc.. Whatever. We’ll probably see much more of him on reality tv, as skating seems to be “done” with him. At this point, the only steady skating job is Stars On Ice, and he’s never been invited to join once. I think Scott Hamilton must hate him or something.

As for B and Kim Z… I’d cut her some slack. IIRC the question was “which housewife would you pick to spend time with, Phaedra, Camille, Danielle or Kim?” and seriously, who in their right mind wouldn’t pick Kim out of that sordid group of bat shit crazy bitches? Danielle would probably stab you, Phaedra seems incapable of even ringing the door bell without insulting her host first, and Camille will either give you an insulting gift or suddenly claim you insulted her with some made up thing only the voice sin her head heard. Kim will probably do no worse that get drunk and talk about noting but herself for a hour. We all have friends like that anyway.

    • buffywood says:

I would totally pick Kim out of that group as well. After several drinks just think of all of the info you could could get on the rest of the Atlanta HW. Kim would be entertaining, the rest would be frustrating.

    • TLM says:

Stars on Ice promptly told Johnny they weren’t extending an offer to him after the Olympics because he wasn’t “family friendly” enough. That incensed me. Somehow ABC thought it was ok to put him on at 8pm, and the world didn’t blow up.

Little kids all over the world have met Johnny and he’s inspired another generation of skaters. I’m just sick of the skating world’s BS and glad he took them to task for it.

      • error404 says:

This is life and I fail to see why Johnny is suppose to get special treatment none of us do. SOI is, was and always will be Scott Hamilton’s pet project to employ his friend’s and suck ups. Steven Cousin’s is Scott’s fav golf buddy, and a long time SOI staple despite being skating D-List. Is it right? No. Is it exactly what we all face when job hunting? Yes! It’s not just blanket homophobia, as Scott had no problem hiring Toller Cranston for years, and would probably wash John Curry feet like Mary Magdalin if he rose from the grave. Johnny wants to say whatever he wants, yet somehow have no one ever get upset by it. He needs to grow up or shut up.

        • error404 says:

sorry for the rant. :0 I like Johnny as a skater, but as a “personality” his crafted PR double talk has driven me crazy for years. He’s a step above the housewives that way. lol

        • aquamarinecandy-o83 says:

I agree, also Scott was very good friends with Rob McCall and Brian Pockar, both gay, both skated on the SOI tour and unfortunately both died of AIDS in the 1990s.

I think there is also management issues with IMG (management for many skaters on SOI) and other management companies for other tours. I remember reading somewhere that Isabelle Brasseur & Lloyd Eisler got major heat from their management company when they skated with Stars on Ice and Elvis Stojko’s tour during the same year (Brasseur & Eisler were represented by IMG, I believe, and Elvis by another company). I remember they could no longer skate with the Elvis tour after that one season. I’m sure Lloyd Eisler probably told them to F off at some point….lol He was never one to shut up about anything!!

        • Nancy says:

They don’t want the spotlight to be on Johnny more than they want it on themselves!

      • lillybee says:

The same thing happened to Rudy Galindo. He still stakes beautifully but is only coaching these days.
I think the rule in skating is that it is ok to be gay but do not come out of the closet.

        • error404 says:

to be fair “He/she still skates beautifully but is only coaching these days.” can be said about a lot of skaters these days. Speedy killed Pro skating, and there are a lot of skaters out of jobs, not just the gay ones. I also think what Aqua said about applies to Rudy to… IMG is like a cartel. Rudy is a 3 time national champ, a world medalist and had a very lucrative and lengthy pro career, so it’s not so easy to put a label on exactly how he was discriminated against. Many of his pro programs were very “gay”, yet there he was, on national tv in tight silver pants and a sheer top, strutting to YMCA, and we all loved it!

I love you dearly BUT first please know I’m no fan of John Weir either. (what ever his name is) I think that he’s a jerk . LOl real quick let me point out Jeff Lewis’s remark last nite it was hysterical.
    @JL_Jeff_Lewis Jeff Lewis
Who would have thought Johnny Weir is gay? A 100 pound ice skater with a lisp worse than Cindy Brady. Shocker.
12 hours ago Favorite Retweet Reply

That’s coming from a gay man lol so haters don’t even go there.

Anyways, yes John did make the re-mark that he didn’t care to see Bethenny skate BUT lets not forget what Bethenny said the week before that. She didn’t care what the judges thought, she wasn’t skating for them and there was a huge back stage fight too. I know alot of ppl like Bethenny and anyone who knows me knows I don’t like her for I guess personal reasons. My hubby was in the horse race business still is a bit aside from owning his own business with his brother he does the Morning Line for the Meadows and a few small race tracks. But he knew her Dad well, let’s just say there is 2 sides 2 every story. One more thing real quick, I know it seemed aweful that he didn’t want B to see him when she came b4 he died but he was the type that was a proud man and didn’t even let his best friends or anyone see him long story i can get in to that some other time. I know I wouldn’t want ppl 2 see me that way being their last memory of me.
Anyways, I can just see her yelling back stage with that loud voice of hers that just carries and annoys th e hell out of me. Also, I heard there was a rule that no alcohol was allowed and during this argument (which the way I understood it was that judges & competitors aren’t allowed to communicate at all during taping of the show except when on the floor when being judges) the week b4 he made the comment she stormed back stage and started to rip John a new ass (which I would of love to see I really don’t like John Weir either) but as she was doing someone said what are you drinking she said, “a skinny girl margarita” C’ mon B ur not exempt from the rules.
As far as Laurie Ann, I have seen her on other TV shows such as “Making The Band” and she is a bitch lol. I thought she was tame on SWTS. Go back & watch her on past episodes of making the Band 1, 2, 3 and 4 on MTV. I felt bad for them poor girls. (Competition Show she was the dance teacher & choreographer)
I loved it when Diddy (formerly known as P. Diddy, Puff Daddy, Puffy and some other goofy names lol. But his real name Sean John Combs HE fired her ass and said “You don’t talk to me like you talk to them get the *uc* out of here ” But of course she was back 3 episodes later and she did say sorry for thefirst time in her life I think she looked so uncomfortable. She claimed it was for ratings and editing about the blow out but everyone else who was there disagreed. I will say she is a gr8 dancer & choreographer but that attitude ruins it for me.

      • HD says:

        That was a juicy post!

Where the heck have I been that I missed a backstage blowout with B and Johnny?!

As for LaurieAnnn-I watched Making the Band and she was tough. She didn’t take any stuff and on SWTS she was more tame from the little bits that I did manage to watch. That show was so boring to me I could hardly remember when it was on. I only tuned it to see Bethanny and often I missed her and would have to watch it online.

        • Zipit Zarin says:

Yeah, where the heck did you get inside info on B and J in a verbal fistacuffs backstage and why aren’t you sharing the link!? 😛

          • kotagirl29 says:

I remember reading the article about Bethenny reaming Johnny a new one. The story I read didn’t say anything about slurring or drinking. It said that she broke the rules by engaging with the judges at any time other than on stage. Ah, I just found the article.

            • Justtomakeulaugh-bkaAMIA says:

I didn’t say sluring, I said she was drinking I’ll find the article.

                • kotagirl29 says:

Okay you didn’t say slurring. I read the article you posted and it said she had a drink in her hand, but doesn’t say if it was alcohol or a bottle of water. I find it hard to believe that she was running around drinking margarita’s after she just finished skating. I think because its a tabloid they were inferring that she was drinking by the way they phrased it, but didn’t come right out and say it. I am pretty sure if she was running around drinking alcohol after skating we would have heard about it. But even if she was what difference does it make? She is over 21.

                  • sophie says:

Bethenny is also very sarcastic. And into self promotion. I think if she were truly asked this question, she’d indeed reply ‘skinnygirl margarita if she had a glass of milk in her hand.

            • icantstandthetoxicity says:

@kitagirl29 I remember reading the People.com article right after the backstage incident happened, Bethenny even tweeted about it. I am a Bethenny fan and I am a little biased but I think the tabloid websites (Radar Online, The Improper, etc.) are exagerrating a bit. I don’t think Bethenny should have approached Johnny Weir backstage but I don’t think it was a bad as the tabloids are saying that it was. This is Bethenny’s tweet about the backstage incident:

              Bethenny : OMG.after show I told judge:dude,I don’t take personally.this is silly.I’m40&on skates.who cares:he said he’s feeling it is personal.

              • BessiB says:

They are exaggerating. It is not reasonable to think she was screaming the words have have attributed to her, unless she was at a distance and raise her voice to be heard. Bethenny does not talk softly on a good day, so they took the boisterous way she talks and slanted it. She is not ‘respectful’ enough for them.

    • error404 says:

      That is funny.

Anyway, the one thing B and Johnny do have in common is, both are publicity whores, attention whores, etc.. They may not like each other, but this IMHO highly exaggerated and embellished account of the exchange will be lapped-up by both under PR 101: there’s no such thing as bad press.

The one thing I will disagree with you on is the part about breaking the rules. Please, B didn’t break down a dressing room door in a drunken rage. The two were obviously in the same room at the time, and I highly doubt B was the only person present with a drink in her hand. Seems like the rules were two very lax rules.

Also, just to play devils advocate. The article never said she was drinking alcohol. It said she had a drink in her hand, and when questioned she said it was a SGM. It’s not a uncontested fact that it wasn’t water, nor is sarcasm out of question when it comes to B.

I will also say it’s kinda IMO funny that you take the father’s side. I’m not a B apologist, I agree she can grate, but like with Tamra and Simon… 2 asses don’t make a saint. I’ll probably continue to assume they were both to blame for what went down.

  7. buffywood says:

    Good morning everyone!
For those of you with New Year’s resolutions, be mindful this weekend. I know for me I tend to fall off the wagon on weekends. For example, tomorrow I know I will eat and drink myself silly. I will be tailgating and going to the Eagles playoff game. Go Birds.

I had to comment on Pryingforthecure’s post from last night. First let me say how sorry I am for the battle your child and your entire family is facing, it is just heart breaking. As for the constant basking of the characters, I don’t agree per se that there is constant bashing and clearly Bravo only allows us to see a small portion and that portion is of their choosing. Personally, there are just a few select characters that I discuss. Many of the women are wonderful, and those who faults who own up to it are to be respected for it.

I guess you could say that I am pretty aware of who I am, faults and all. I have control issues. I loved the line from Parenthood the other night when one sister said to the other “Get your control issues under control”. She could have been speaking to me. I lack patience, for some reason some things just “put me over the top” for no reason, I am too independent, the list could continue. But the fact is; I know this about me. I have issues with some of these people who try to portray themselves as something they clearly are not. It is people like Teresa “I am so rich and nice”, The Salaharis and Camille “I am perfect, worship me, you are just jealous” that drive me nuts. When Camille said in that interview that “I can’t stand watching myself” instead of taking ownership of her behavior she excuses it. If these women didn’t act like they are all that and a bag of chips or as my dad would say “Their shit doesn’t stink”, then there would be nothing for us to say.

I mainly come here for more of the off topic disucssions as I get to intereact with so many different people (race, geographic location, backgrounds, sexual orientation, etc) that I find both eye opening and educational at the same time. There are some fantastic posters here and Lynn has provided a safe haven for us to excape our own realities for a little while.

      I like your post Buffy,

I do understand and agreed in part with prayingforthecure, but I do come here for the fun if it. We don’t hurtnthe housewives by taliking about them, they are hurting themselves wi their actions. We are just commenting on them. We talk about all of them, but not all our coments are negative. We also talk about the things we like about them, we talk about our lives, about our opinions, etc. I come her for the escape, and to meet with people who have the same interest on the shows or the wives. I like that all coments, pro or againsts are welcome and that we all can go back to our lives as usual. I also learn things here. This board brings so many personalities and points of views and personal anecdotes that I enjoy 🙂

      • HD says:

I agree. Go ahead and shoot me now but quite honestly, the friendships and relationships formed here are a by product of this site. (Which is fine of course and not a bad thing) However, when I googled I hate Jill Zarin, I was not googling, “I need to find some friends.” I was looking for a site that talked about Jill Zarin and all the horrible things she has done. I have one bestfriend in my life. I am 34. I doubt I will find another one like her.

This is a site where we talk about the Real Housewives. None of them are curing world hunger. They chose to be on TV and with that comes criticism, love, etc. If they don’t like it, don’t do it. If you (general you) don’t like the show, don’t watch it. If you don’t want to read stuff about the housewives behavior, here’s a novel idea, don’t click the link to read about it. It is really very simple.

If I don’t want to participate in something, guess what, I don’t. A lot of that type of talk has been going on lately and quite frankly it is redundant and old. No one has a gun to their head to click on this site. And although we should be respectful, no one has to come here to find a best friend. We will agree, we will disagree and life goes on. In the big scheme of life, none of it matters if Had Enough or TLD or WSL or whoever, agrees with me. (Just threw random names out) What to do I care? What are the odds that I will ever meet these people? Chances are none. Do they pay my bills? No. Do they feed me? No. Are they are part of family? No. Why would I truly care what someone across the nation thinks about something I said on blog? Short of being downright rude, who cares?

I am not an insensitive person at all but some things just need to be put into perspective. It’s a blog. Let it be what it is.

These are just MY thoughts in general with all that has been going on.

        • Zipit Zarin says:

Thanx for typing my sentiments for me HD. hehe

I have to add one thing and it’s not meaning to start a rumble…I just have to say it because it went unaddressed. Attacking Quincy (Diana) after she left and wasn’t here to defend or address what you threw out there is BULLSHIT. There, I said it. I’m done.

        • Duchess of Dryer Lint says:

Well, I can only speak for myself, but one of the best things about googling I hate Jill Zarin was not only finding a place to snark about the housewives, but finding a community of diverse, funny, friendly (for the most part) and wonderful people that I actually do enjoy chatting with and I do think I have formed some cyber friendships on this site. It was a nice warm feeling to have people welcome me back and say that I had been missed over the last couple of weeks. I actually enjoy the off topic posts and getting to know the posters here. I really do care about Boston, and Mary, and WSL, and Had Enough, and many others here. I am blessed with friendships in my “real world” that have lasted many years, some for 30 years or more, and now consider myself blessed to have found a group online that seems to be unique in the care and respect we (ususally) have for each other. They don’t pay my bills, or feed me (although Boston’s recipies help LOL) but they do make me laugh and sometimes cry, and for that I am a bit richer in my heart.
Go ahead and call me Pollyanna, LOL, I know that I am an eternal optomist and that can be annoying to some. I own it and am okay with it. I may not lose sleep over someone on here getting upset with me, but there really are quite a few that I am glad to “know”.

          • HD says:

All that is wonderful! Please don’t get me wrong. Friendships, relationships here are great! Trust me, I would not have shared my pregnancy or eventual miscarriage with the people here if I did not feel friendly towards all the people here. This is a great place. However, I just have not lost focus that this is a *blog* about Bravo shows. I did that once in a forum. Then all hell broke loose! Honnnnnnneyyyyyyyyyyyyy, IT WAS BAD!!! I vowed never to do that again. I keep the internet/blogs/forums in their place and in perspective and nothing really rubs me in a bad way. *kanye shrug*

The friendships formed here are wonderful and that is a great thing but if something rubs you wrong, pause and say, will this matter in my REAL life in 24 hours? Odds are no. This is a blog.

Duchess, you seem to be one of those people who have a grip on the internet/forums/blogs. Healthy cyber friendships but your day is not spent losing sleep over something I post. That is what I am talking about.

        • buffywood says:

When you see on the Bravo blogs and the individual blogs as well all the comments like “Camille we love you, ignore the haters” and Jill “When are coming to my city? Now THAT would be a dinner party… inviting Bethenny to be Kyle’s wingman. Bethenny’s appearance would have to be a surprise, though, because IMO, Cami wouldn’t show up if she knew Bethenny would take part.

  9. WindyCityWondering says:

It has been awhile since Andy had an interesting WWHL – Bethenny actually has real conversations with him! She knows her shows (spot on about BH taking the franchise to a different level) and she isn’t afraid to snark. Best of all, she didn’t shy away from either Wier or Zarin questions.

  10. Noelle says:

I know I’m going to get in trouble for this but, I think B was trying too hard to be funny on WWHL and I wasn’t impressed.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Bethenny but I think it’s wearing off for me somewhat!

    • Kellita says:

I gotta say, I agree. I love Bethenny to death, but she seemed a little nervous and tried too hard to be witty. She was very high octane that night, and I was getting a bit of a headache from her. Maybe it’s because I was tired. My husband thought the same thing, though.

      • WaxDiva says:

What was her problem on WWHL? Was she even there? Every time Andy talked with her, he had to repeat numerous times because she would just look at him and ask him to repeat… and even after that, she couldn’t comprehend what he said. Bethenny was tweaking… wonder if skinny girl margarita’s do that to ya???

    • HD says:

I gotta watch it again. The only part where I really laughed hard was when she said, “there’s taxes, death and Camille,” when Andy had that silly poll which everyone knew Camille was the one that needed to know how to act in certain situations.

I don’t really LOL at Bethanny (or much) but I like that she is so witty and seems to just have so many one liners. They are not fall on the floor funny but I just like that she is so quick with them.

  11. sammyjoesmom says:

I think Bethenny is Andy’s favorite housewife. Does anyone remember at the reunion when Kelly was talking about Kellade and when they panned to Andy, he looked at Bethenny and gave he a double head nudge? Like, “Get her” “Go after her for stealing your idea.” I hope I am not the only one that noticed it. That is just one example that I can think of.

    • HD says:

I noticed it. I thought it was funny.

    • Zipit Zarin says:

Yep, she’s his fave and most people’s. She’s brilliant and is in on the joke of it all with him. Snark is what the whole franchise is MADE of so I’m not apologizing ever for snarking here. The HW’s snark at each other, Andy passive-aggressively snarks at them while winking at us, the audience, and Bethenny has the best one-liner snarks in the history of the universe! I love it, we all love it or we wouldn’t be watching it or spending our days dissecting it. So there 😀

      • kotagirl29 says:

Of course she is Andy’s favorite. She is Bravo’s newest cash cow. And I really think Andy just wants to be on TV and be famous and what better way than to be friendly with the most popular housewife.

        • BessiB says:

Is it the business relationship the primary reason he likes her? Seems they are much more friendlier. I’m just thinking that Andy also flew across to sit in the audience of DWTS – more that once, I think – and that is totally unrelated to Bravo or NBC

          • kotagirl29 says:

He was at SWTS so that he could be on TV when it wasn’t Bravo. I think he likes her, but I also think that he visited Bethenny so he could get the exposure. He is a programmer who wants to be a star and what better way to do that than to show support for Bravo’s most popular housewife. Maybe its just because I don’t really like him, but everything he does seems like just another opportunity to expand his own career in front of the cameras.

            • IMJ says:

I have a feeling Andy might have his own Bravo talk show of some sort coming up. Dont forget he did get his start in tv as an actor.

    • California35 says:

I noticed that! Like “did you hear that?” lol. They just exchanged looks, and Bethenny didn’t go for it.

I think Andy doesn’t like Kelly, or wants to bother with her. Shr never makes sence thoig and we dnt like her lol. By the way, we still don’t know what happened at the scary island…I am surprise how it has not come out.

I agree – I think Andy likes Bethenny, but how can he not? We all love her :-P. No, seriously, he is making Bravo lots of money, she is successful at Bravo and out of Bravo. She has a business, a purpose an opinion. It isn’t just drama, gossip, jellesy, bragging, kissing ars, etc. There is real conversations with her. Ok maybe that is why I like her 🙂

    • sammyjoesmom says:

I mentioned it cause I thought it was funny. I almost wished Bethenny would have pounced on her but then she would be stooping to Kellys level and been called a bully even more. I LOVE Bethenny. I hate Jill Zarin and Kelly.

  13. Amber...Real Wife says:

To me, it seems like Adrienne has little patience for her husband and his injuries. She may be the only female child in a very macho family and probably despises whining, especially in men. Her children love to rough house, and she must be encouraging them to learn to defend themselves. However, the roughhousing seems to be targeted at their father and his prostheticly enhanced nose! 3 broken noses in a short span or any span is too much. Her minimizing his injuries, probably encourages the children to use little care while playing with dad. Adrienne is one tough girl, so it surprises me that she’d pick such a soft man. Or is that why she picked a soft man. Hmmm.

CAMILLE, IMO, can’t possibly be the most hated housewife ever! FOR WHAT??

For believing she was insulted and not believing otherwise?

For deciding to take her business elsewhere because she’s argued with and been insulted by the vendor’s wife? (It’s her right and Mauricio knows it! Many would do the same, from dry cleaners, corner stores, pizza places and chinese restaurants. Think King of Queens)

For having a contractually obligated dinner party with her friends who had her back? Who wouldn’t want their girlfriends with them for back up if someone else has back up too?

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I KNOW she’s also an attention getting hooker, who loves to dance sexy to get the other hubbies to look at her. I know she prefers the company of men over that of “jealous” females. I understand she’s self-centered, with a god complex and has the wit and intelligence of a door knob. I get it. But the most hated housewife ever? GET REAL!! Camille was after Kyle. That’s it!

Camille is childsplay next to the BEAST FROM THE EAST…JILL ZARIN!! I mean don’t we remember the list? She outright lied and made up stories to gain sympathy to destroy a fallen friends reputation. Jill used everyone to attack, forcing people to chose sides, using the media, planting stories daily. She tried sabotaging a network show because of revenge, that was employing people in this economy. She accused employees of impropriety so they’d be reprimanded or fired. Poor Camille can’t hold a candle up to Jillzilla.

    • nancy says:

No, CamelToe can’t hold a candle to Jill. She pays someone to do it.

      • Amber...Real Wife says:

LOL I forgot to mention that one! Thanks.

For what…being a nasty bitch who is about to make $50 million in her divorce settlement, plus receive child support?

LMAO That is one lucky MTVdancing, exhooker with a heart of gold!

      • HD says:

Nancy girl that was funny! LOL! Only she pays 4 people to hold it. LOL!

      • WaxDiva says:

DD gets paid to hold all candles in the Hawaii house… Cameltoe pays Allison DooBwah to hold candles in the ‘bu house. ‘Cause poor Allison has fallen on hard times … last report (true) is that she was seen reading in a mall for $20 a pop.

        • Amber...Real Wife says:

OMG I wonder did she “know that”! LOL

        • Rabble Rouser says:

Now way- that is hysterical. Her site makes it seem like she was only doing big venues with big ticket prices.

        • BessiB says:

Well I googled that and was disappointed. I hoping to see her to be sitting under a tent, wearing a scarf and big hoop earing, with a crystal ball on the table. 😦

    • buffywood says:

Sometimes I find myself a lot like Adrienne, especially in this situation. Now I have broken my nose twice. Once by my own knee and yes once by the back of my daughter’s head. She was around 3, sitting on my lap facing away from me and I was tickling her. Her head came flying back and BAM. I grew up in a house where “weakness” was look down on. My dad would ask me “Are you hurt or are your injured” and there was a difference. Since this is how I was raised it was “normal” to me. I found/find that both my ex-husband and my current boyfriend act like the world is coming to end when they don’t feel well. I need to make a conscious effort to be more companionate and sympathetic when either doesn’t feel well, it just doesn’t come naturally. When my kids are sick it is a whole different story as they are kids. Who knows what happened in the rough housing, maybe she warned him in the past thus no sympathy. I can tell you that my boyfriend knows the story of Tiffany breaking my nose and when he tickles Garrett and he gets kicked in the “man parts” I have no sympathy.

      • error404 says:

I’m not so much concerned with the wife’s lack of sympathy for the husband.. that’s their business. What trouble’s me is that BOTH parents are teaching their boys that it’s ok to be wild. It’s only their problem now, assuming the kids are well behaved in school, but someday they will be unleashed on the general public. We do really need 3 more Brody Jenners running amuck?

    • error404 says:

“CAMILLE, IMO, can’t possibly be the most hated housewife ever! FOR WHAT??”

Um.. for being the most insanely self centered ass on the planet? Seriously, please name for me one single time this woman opened her mouth and something evil didn’t come forth? LOL

Sorry, I’ll give Camille 3 entire seasons before I’ll pronounce her less hate worthy than Jill. By the end of season 1 of RHoNY, Jill seemed like mother frickin Teresa by comparison.

      • Zipit Zarin says:

        I heart you 😀

      • Amber...Real Wife says:

I can’t see her being a stupid silly catty insecure spoiled housewife making her the worst housewife ever. Jill has her beat by a mile even if it took many 3 seasons to notice. Jill was doing shady shit since the beginning. She just hid it better before the fallout in season3.

Camille taking businesss from Mauricio was as singular action. How many houses were they going to buy or sell that year in this economy? Mauricio works for Hilton, he’ll be alright. Was it shitty? Absolutely. Within her rights? Yup.

Jill sabotaging B’s show, effected many, from those choosing sides in the battle, to the production people hired for the show. Her comments on the Silex photos and accusing Simon of being a drunk could have had him fired. Jill went for the jugular, and tried to take folks livelihood from them. No matter how stupidly evil Camille is, Jill is so much better at being evil as she takes no prisoners.

        • Anne says:

Mauricio does work for Hilton & Hyland, but all of those listing are based on relationships. If it is perceived that Kyle attacks people they would be less apt to place listings with Mauricio. Hilton & Hyland is a Christie’s affiiliate and has almost all their listings with Hollywood related people, so appearance means everything. Losing any high profile client is bad.

Also, these houses are much less impacted by the economy than broader market. They are effect, but to a lesser degree. It is not as if you can get a mortgage for a $100M residential home. This is cash relationship business there are plenty of bankers, wealthy foreigners, and entrepeneurs who still buy these properties at the right price.

          • BessiB says:

Oh, OT, but interesting: I heard a radio pod cast a couple of weeks ago with Kyle and she said her husband just had one of his best years.

Lynn thank you SO MUCH for writing about WWH with Bethenny. I missed it on TV and didn’t even record it. I am looking for the rerun, and set to record the WWH coming up even whether the info says she is in it or not. The listing doesn’t clear that up some times. Any ways, when I read your blogs you make me imagine how everything went on a show. Thanks!!

What’s this about the clence and all those products? I looked up her website and saw the items and prices. I hope ther will be more details as how long and how many items in the packages. At this point, I would buy or order anything until I know more about them, but I think the items or some of the items are not ready yet. I will have enough time to get more details, and I do trust that whe will sell good products (good for us and that will work). Having said, I home they do work, not only for the sake of us who buys her products, but for hers too. Books with advice and recipes it’s one thing, but we prepare our own food and we do our own work, to sell the actual product to eat is different. I am wishing it all works…you all probably figured by now that I am her fan :-), so you know I am saying this as a concern and good wishes, not as hate.

I’m not saying they don’t work or that they are bad for you, but I don’t see the point of having to suffer through that staying near a bathroom and pain for a day or two. Also, there are other natural ways, should I want to clean my stomach.

  16. The Bethenny/Johnny Weir fight:

She may have appeared gracious after being beaten by TV star Rebecca Bundig in the Skating With the Stars finale on Tuesday night.

But behind the scenes, reality star Bethenny Frankel was wreaking havoc with the others backstage.

In an explosive outburst, Bethenny’s victim was Skating With the Stars favourite Johnny Weir.
And Bethenny was allegedly caught in a backstage blow-up with the judge.

‘She came running over with a drink in her hand and started harassing him,’ a source told RadarOnline.com

‘She angrily yelled at Johnny that she was a grown woman on ice wearing pigtails and sparkles and that she doesn’t take the whole thing too seriously.’
Apparently the 40-year-old interrupted a conversation Johnny was having with two other crew members from the show and lashed out.
‘Johnny was backstage just talking to his friends, stylist Avo Yermagyan and designer Traver Rains, and you could tell by the look on their faces that they were stunned by her outburst,’ the insider explained.
‘It was embarrassing to watch because the skaters are supposed to be respectful and maybe even woo the judges, but that didn’t seem like Bethenny’s agenda.’
Getting herself more and more worked-up, Bethenny started to scream at the innocent judge.
‘She said some nasty things that weren’t funny and then kept screeching louder and louder, over and over again, ‘you can’t take a joke!’
The show’s protocol makes it clear that contestants are not allowed to correspond with the judges.

I missed that tidbit. Thanks for sharing!

Pigtails and sparkles. 🙂 I didn’t like that outfit so much. I could see this happening but I see it in a different way because I am seeing it through her personality on the show and not like a huge yelling argument. Maybe I’m bias but everyone knows I am one to call B on the carpet.

      • Zipit Zarin says:

Agree, and one thing Bethenny isn’t, is stupid. I highly doubt that’s how it went down.

        • BessiB says:

Nah, if the ‘source’ saw it that way, they were just having a Camille moment.

Saying what she said over and over, yes. Being angry over it, no.

    • Scorpiosue1102 says:

Isn’t this some ish??? I posted the article in its entirety as a courtesy instead of posting a link. If you would like to research the ‘source,’ let us know who it is. From what you posted: ‘She came running over with a drink in her hand and started harassing him,’ a source told RadarOnline.com. That is why I quoted “a source” and did not put it as a source.

The snark and the nastiness was not necessary in response to my post.

I got what you were saying 🙂

Absolutely my thought. Remember Jill getting booted off ice by Russian coach while skaters practicing for Olmpics?
Wasn’t Jill’s “good friend” Johnny Weir the reason she was there in the first place?
AND, doesn’t Jill have some sort of direct pipeline to Radar (or is that Perez)?
At any rate, Jill. Fingerprints. All. Over.

I hesitated to post this cuz I don’t feed pigeons cuz
    When u do
    they keep pooping &
    don’t go away.

I have a friend who lost 2 children

    Sue(not true name)
Started on WS & was an immediate star. She bought a SH house that was always filled w/fun &guests. She only had a sister as both parents died when she was 15. She was a DC deb and fortunately had a trust that paid for great schools. Sue chaired & founded Jr committees for at least 10, NYC & SH, charities including helping to start the NYC Ronald Mc Donald House. She was/is one of the most joyous & out going people I ever met. She knows how to make getting a shot fun.
One of her parents was the child of a NYSE co founder & she was left shares of that co. To make a long story short ,family guardians stole the stock and took ,the over site, of her ,retarded from birth, 2nd sis w/a trust dedicated to her life care. The statue of limitations was over by the time the girls understood what happened to their wealth. They were told the retarded sis died. (15 years later they found that sis & r close again).
Sue got tired of a mean WS & switched careers she joined one co it was on the cover of Business week & weeks later went bankrupt along w/most of Sue’s savings. She is not married & her one sister lives in Canada but is estranger cuz Sue refused to sue again, the family members that stole from 15,14& 13 year old, parentless girls.Sue is not married. Due to poor health she is very overweight and had lives with some serious issues.
Several other careers including a WS come back failed. She has a consulting co.
So where do u find Sue most often, The Ronald Mc Donald House. She was excluded as a board member b cuz she can’t contribute the $100 000ish expected. She spends an enormous amount of time begging anyone she meets for $ or stuff for “her kids”. She can b seen w/her kids, many w/drips on wheels,& some in wheel chairs missing limbs, many w/caps over bald heads. She takes them to baseball games & plays. She needs transportation & tickets. Recently at Yankee stadium, she had the attending kids & their recently passed friends, names on the billboard ,flashing a personal welcome.. Every year she does a beauty padgent where each child wins a title. She does a graduation ceremony and celebrates one more year of life knowing many won’t make the traditional graduation ceremonies back in their hometowns. She always has the kids march thru the halls. They gather around the beds of the kids too sick to leave their beds. She does all this by raising the $$ ,or often at her own expense, for costumes & cake.
U might not know but most kids come from afar & unless the parents r very rich r left w/o family as they battle cancer. When parents visit ,Sue loves on them as if they were her own blood. Sue helped found an emergency flight service from a group of pilots w/their own plane. She often gets parents flown in & gives up her own bed.
At Christmas she not only organizes a party but gets a much needed item for each child wrapped & distributed by Mrs. Clause (Sue).
I don’t know how she does it when although there r stories of life, there r many of her children who die each year. Its like having the 2 children she lost die over & over each year. Meantime she is the greatest consoler & advocate to the parents & she takes them to dinner & then skips meals for her self. Board members sometimes treat her like an employee not the volunteer she is and ALWAYS take credit for what she does. Remember she helped found their fund raisers 20 years ago. They don’t give her a ticket to the fund raising events. If I gave her the $$ she wouldn’t spend it on a ticked. She would rather buy winter coats & graduation caps for her kids.
I mention all this as a response to our precious poster w/2 ill children and I hope Sue can be an inspiration to you. Sue ONLY believes in miracles and she tells stories of many. She loves her kids and refuses to loose sight of her goal of joy for today and arms around the children & parents & the hope she won’t let go of.

I have a question that might sound dumb, but really puzzled me. Why did the NYTimes reporter characterize a middle-aged woman wearing a “Searle” coat as a typical Andy Cohen fan? What is that supposed to mean? I have two of those coats and although they are very nice, I am not aware of anything particularly distinctive about them. Do they make me a walking caricature?

    • klmh says:

Well, I had no idea what a Searle coat was, so I looked it up. Those coats are darling! If I get inspired by the diet posts here and get to business, I am going to reward myself with one. I have added it to my fav’s list. Tx!

    • Waxdiva says:

I bought two at N-M in Chicago. They’re great coats… nothing that says ‘middle age’ when you see them. What’s that NYT person talking about? I think I’ll send her an email and find out what she meant…

      • MSU Chicago says:

I think what the writer wanted to convey is that Andy is appreciative of his fans and will treat them equally, from the creepy guy whispering sweeet nothings into to his ear, to the well dressed woman in the Searle coat. Possibly the middle age was inserted to show range of fans, i.e., Ben Weiner, creepy guys and put together women. At least that is what I took from it.

It was a flattering article, I am sure Andy is a happy camper.

WAY OT here but I just have to ask. I consider myself pretty level headed and don’t buy into the who conspiracy thing in regards to the government but.. I have to admit that a small part of my brain (very small part) is wondering about these massive bird kills offs and mass quantites of fish dying. Does anyone else have that small little voice saying is something else going on?

    • error404 says:

Mr 404 does. Me, I just don’t feel like I have the time and energy to invest in conspiracy theories.

    • Justtomakeulaugh-bkaAMIA says:

Yes I do too! I love & respect all animals or some say ‘creatures”

    • klmh says:

I honestly thought it was some kind of poison some farmer put out to kill pests in the field. I don’t believe a sound was able to kill 5000 birds in Ar. I haven’t heard about the testing of birds found in LA yet though.

Took this quote from the WSJ:
“On average, between 160 and 200 such “mass death” events in wildlife are reported to the federal government each year, according to the USGS.”
      B.S. I dont believe it.

Black birds and red wings don’t eat fish, no connection unless the water was poisoned. But only one type of fish was involved in the kill, so there goes that theory.
Im not sure we’ll ever be told what happened.

      • buffywood says:

In April there was a large fish (menhaden or bunker) kill in South Jersey where there were thousands of dead fish and they said it was probably extraordinarily low levels of dissolved oxygen – the result of higher air and water temperatures. Did this make national news? They have the same reason for the big Louisiana fish kill back in September. And then this week : The Maryland Department of the Environment says an estimated 2 million fish have been reported dead from the Bay Bridge south to Tangier Sound. Black birds in AK, 80,000-100,000drum in on the Arkansas River, how many fish in Louisiana? I’ve studied Oceanography in college (as a minor) and participated in a few research studies in the Chesapeake Bay. I can’t help but think something is going on.

    • twoile says:

My observation is that now that there is instant world wide infomation sharing we are aware………b 4 we only knew what happened in our own back yard so 2 speak. No to fireworks though, birds don’t fly at night ‘cept owls.

    • Rabble Rouser says:

I’ve read all kinds of things from secrete government testing- to the signs of the end of the word- to they are just unrelated events with their own possible explanations.

A response to posters asking where I got “inside info” lol posted earlier about B yelling at johnny weir, drinking etc.

Thanks for telling about cover of NYT arts section today. Mom is thrilled! She saw it too! http://yfrog.com/h2ikgjnj

I guess this is why our country is full of kids who are all self-confidence and no skills. They were told they were geniuses for making #2.

Now that there is one happy singer! I wonder who wrote the lyrics…

    • klmh says:

OK, so I am on a 3G dealy that allows me to download 5 gigs/mth. If I go over my limit, my bill shoots up up and away! So, I opened to listen to Mr. Lalala. I kept waiting for something to happen, and he’s still singing lalalalala. I have wasted megabites listening to plastic man singing lalalala! Too funny!
Who did his make-up? Probably the one that wrote the song…

Is anyone going to Treetrunk’s Learning Annex class on Monday??? You know, the one where Rob Schuter from Popeater is the ‘surprise’ guest.. but really, he’s the buffer between the inquisitive class and Tree… Rob will be reading and approving the questions for her.

I’m a little surprised that she hasn’t called it off… she’ll also be in the Poconos:

    Saturday, January 22, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
    Mount Airy Casino Resort
Includes a private tasting menu and wine pairing in Mount Airy’s high-end Italian restaurant, Le Sorelle Cucina and a complimentary copy of Giudice’s book “Skinny Italian.”

    @Zipit Zarin,
We usually talk much later…I have a free afternoon(I detest afternoons as much as I detest Jill!) It’s a day we’re alive and that’s always good! 😉

First off – Thanks so much for “sporadic mall singing” link! You provided me something to offer to our troops…. (overseas)…. a touch of home! Courtesy of you!…I really hope you like ‘Zipit zarin’ cause you own it and baby…they lovveee youuuu!! And so do Iiiii! I hear they like the ‘zipit’ part more then the zarin…imagine? hmmm…
When I get a copy…will you autograph it?! xo

    • Zipit Zarin says:

Awe, that’s so great that you did that for the troops! My youngest brother leaves in two weeks to go BACK to Afghanistan. Gen. Petraeus asked for him specifically to be on his “team”. He’s honored and all that but his wife and 3 children and 8 siblings and parents are still going to miss him and be worried.
So, again I’m so thrilled you thought of doing that!! I’ll cyber autograph anything for you, babe 😀 Yeah, I love the Zipit part too. Too bad Zarin won’t do that. Freakin moron. Love you! xoxo

    • Noelle says:

      And secondly-
I like you for being you and explaining the word pernicious. I think……

      • Zipit Zarin says:

You know, that is a huge thing being liked for being who you are. Not expected to change. Woot! And pernicious is a great word…too bad I’ll always think of Camille when I use it from now on. Not that I used it a LOT, but….LOL

  29. klmh says:

Lord, I hadn’t heard of any of these incidents. I haven’t been able to find anything about blackbirds being found dead in Alaska, or other bird kills in the U.S.
Fish are a different kettle, so to speak. That was bad. Sorry. I understand fish kill because of pollution and/or oxygen depletion, on a tiny scale. We have koi and I lost some family pets, 3 footers, due to a pump problem. Hard lesson to learn.
Thanks for the news about the fish kills, but they are prevalent at times, especially during the change in seasons, in our area as well. The thing that concerns me is why just one type of fish? Could it be as simple as the layer in the water they reside being deprived of O2?

    • klmh says:

read post above. Somehow is slipped…

    • Had Enough! says:

Low oxygen levels occur in hot weather, not cold weather. The cold weather is thought to be responsible for the mass kill in Maryland, most of the fish being juveniles (lower body mass, less body fat) and the fact that the Chesapeake Bay is very shallow (it is actually an estuary, not a bay). With shallow water, it doesn’t take as long for the cold weather to drop the water temperature throughout the water column.

The Arkansas situation has been attributed to the birds being startled by fireworks. Diurnal birds generally do not fly at night and when panicked, they will start flying but will fly into obstacles and into one another. Or even into the ground. The Arkansas fish and game people have reported that all they’ve examined so far show blunt force trauma.

      • klmh says:

Sorry, with all the other stuff yesterday, I missed this.
Blunt force trauma isagonna happen to anything when something high in the sky falls to the ground.

    • buffywood says:

Sorry… the AK was meant to be AL. In the one in New Jersey he fish affected are most shallow water dwellers and in summer when you have higher then normal temps, sunny days, and little rain those are the most affected. As for the Chesapeake bay, the bay itself has been going through major changes over the last two decades. change of height of the water table has affected salinity and currents, temp, etc. its really interesting. Could any of this be PB related? Who knows. I just found the whole thing a little odd and a small part of my brain these these all could have some related underlying cause.

  30. Had Enough! says:

Just for today, can we please re-name this blog I Hate Sarah Palin? I mean to be honest, I always hate her but today I have a very special reason.

SarahPac.com had a map showing the names and districts of Democrats they wanted to defeat in 2010, with the Districts marked with spotting scope cross hairs and the words

    “Don’t retreat, instead- RELOAD!”

Giffords Tea Party opponent wrote is even worse. Jesse Kelly, went even further with the violent rhetoric. Kelly’s campaign held an event called “Get on Target for Victory in November.” Description: “Help remove Gabrielle Giffords from office. Shoot a fully automatic M16 with Jesse Kelly.”

We don’t know yet if the shooter today in Tucson was a Tea Party/Palin follower, but if he/she was, well then I hold Sarah Palin and her followers directly responsible.

    • WaxDiva says:

Damn right— reload! That’s all I’m saying here. I wouldn’t go near a political conversation on this site… politics have no place where Real Housewives are concerned.. the two just don’t mix.
Lynn… can you make that a rule???

      • Had Enough! says:

If Lynn makes such a rule, I will follow it. Until then, I will continue to assert that if Jared Laughner was motivated by the Tea Party rhetoric, then we should hold Sarah Palin responsible for the shooting of 18 people and the death of a nine-year-old girl.

        • WaxDiva says:

Had: Your statement is simply illogical and totally ridiculous.

Yes, I’ve Had Enough of this particular thread.

          • Had Enough! says:

So much for the don’t attack other posters. What is the point of asking Lynn for a rule if you don’t want to follow the one rule she has? Quincy – does your lifeboat have room for one more? I am out of here.

            • First, I did not ask Lynn for a rule. Second, I did not attack you, nor anyone else.
Third, and this may be going around on boards, please read and then read again the thread.
Fourth, no need to bother Lynn for such a trivial matter… and no need to make it into a mountain.

      • Zipit Zarin says:

Darn, I was hoping you’d elaborate on the “Damn right – reload!” But I agree, if we go there this will be an entirely different place.

        • Had Enough! says:

Lynn is normally not around on weekends. She actually has a life. But I will try to reach her to see what she says. ZZ – you and I do not share most political views, though considering what you have told us, you are remarkably tolerant and I respect you for that (and otherwise just love you and your participation here). I’d be shocked to learn that you wouldn’t be worried or worse if you learned that this shooter was motivated by outrageous and irresponsible rhetoric. So I take your comment to mean that you just don’t like the idea of political discussion here generally? And I can certainly appreciate that and agree. Ordinarily I wouldn’t raise a political issue. In fact, I don’t think I ever have. But this situation is not ordinary. It is extraordinary and I am quite sure that every one of is us upset and alarmed.

          • HD says:

I do have to agree in so much as saying, this incident right now has shocked us as a nation and it does not have to be political but lets just pray for her and her family along with the others that have died or that have been injured. This is not a time to politically masturbate but a time to pray for families whose lives have forever been changed by this tragedy.

            • Had Enough! says:

Thanks for helping me to make a tough decision, HD. It’s been nice knowing you and I never expected such sharp words from you.

              • HD says:

Did what I say seem sharp? I was agreeing with you in saying, you mentioning this here was not politically based but this is a tragedy that has rocked our nation this afternoon so you posting it was not strange or uncalled for. I was also saying we don’t have to make it political, we can just mention it and be in prayer so that way it not turn into a big political thing. I thought you mentioning it was appropriate. I wasn’t trying to be sharp. If you took it that way, my bad but it was not the way I meant it.

Please refer to my post upthread. This falls right in line.

                • Had Enough! says:

                  politically masturbate

                  • HD says:

@ Had Enough, I’m a writer! I use colorful language. I can’t help myself. We always say poetically masturbate, blah blah blah. Sorry you took that the way you did. You of all people should know you and I never had any issues. Why would I start today?

                  • twoile says:

Offensive not colorful at all, as a writer I’d expect that your vocabulary would be so much wider.

                  • Candace says:

You are the one who brought the off topic subject up.

Daily Kos would be a good place for you to find like minded people who might be interested in your jackass theories.

                    • OneMoreInBoston says:

My you have been a prolific poster today!

Thank you for sharing your opinion, and again, welcome to the Lynn family!

            • buffywood says:

I took HD as saying let’s not argue to political motivation now, simply prey for the families. I didn’t even know this had happened until you posted about it HadEnough.

              • Zipit Zarin says:

I didn’t either buffywood. I had to go to the drudgereport.com to read about it. I usually read up on all the news with my morning cuppa but today I came here first.

              • HD says:

Thank you, Buffywood. That was EXACTLY what I meant!

          • Zipit Zarin says:

Yes, we are probably polar opposites in the political arena. I have no idea what motivated the guy and no one else does either at this point since he’s not made any statements that I’ve heard or seen yet. To my mind the rhetoric coming from liberal college professors who push their progressive agendas is more to blame than Palin’s slogan. <–That sentence right there needs backup, sources, footnotes etc and I'd be willing to do that but this is a Housewife board so I'll leave it alone. Thank you for noticing my restraint cuz believe me, it's hard to hold back sometimes. 😀

    • klmh says:

She is a frightening personality! I can say with gusto, I hat Sarah Palin! Notice is the lack of an e there, so its not complete hate.

      • klmh says:

My response was too quick. I didn’t read the post from Had Enough, and thought Palin had done something else beyond beyond, as usual.
Palin is a loose cannon and who knows what she will say next? The idea of making anyone a target in spotting scope cross hairs is asinine and goes beyond the pale, no matter the politics or personality.
She is “fair game”, pun intended, as far as Im concerned.

    • HD says:

      Jesus take the wheel!

I am waiting for details but something tells me there was something political about this shooter…

      And that slogan…don’t retreat reload…sigh…

      Lord help me.

      • HD says:

@ Had Enough…I hope you understand what I was saying. I was saying, in my colorful way of saying things, we (meaning all of us) don’t have to use your post as a way to break down the Constitution and did Bush really win the election and is President Obama a US citizen? I was saying, what you posted was okay, NOT political because this is an event that has rocked the nation. Just like 9/11 or whatnot. How can we NOT talk about things like that?! So you posting that was appropriate. A congresswoman is fighting for her life shot more than likely by a fellow American. It is all over the news. How can we NOT mention it?! So I was AGREEING with you. And I was also saying, we (everyone) don’t have to turn it into a debate. You see what I am saying?

        • Had Enough! says:

Yup. Thanks for taking the time to explain.

        • twoile says:

          She has lost the fight(

          • klmh says:

Who has lost the fight? I just heard from Gifford’s surgeon the bullet went thru, surgery is done, and she is responding and he is optimistic in her recovery, although it will take 24 hours to know for sure…

            • HD says:

I think Twoile meant that in terms of thinking Had Enough and I were fighting. Which we are not. Sorry to burst, Twoile’s bubble.

@ Twoile, if that is what you meant, please stop instigating. I have no issues with Had Enough. I have no desire or need to fight with anyone on this blog. I am not here to amuse or entertain with drama. Perhaps you have picked the wrong person because I am not the one. I am fine and I assume that Had Enough is fine. If not, I am sure *she* would easily speak to me without commentary from the sideline. Thank you.

            • twoile says:

Wish I could remember which newspaper on-line that had the “breaking news” hope they & in turn I was/ were wrong.

        • buffywood says:

I think we can all agree that a tragedy happened today. I feel for everyone involved and my prayers and with them and their families. I think we can agree there was a slogan in a campaign that was morally reprehensible regardless of whom it was for, and If (that’s a big if) this slogan was somehow a factor is this tragedy there should be consequences.

      • lillybee says:

People and this applies to politicians should remember that words have meaning and I want to see a much more politer political discourse in this country.

  31. klmh says:

Sorry, didn’t make myself clear I guess. Fish kill can be a result of several things.

Actually, I am a birder and am aware of the species and the reports about the bird kill in AR and LA, but I find them hard to believe, hence the discussion we are entertaining ourselves with this afternoon…

    • buffywood says:

I am with you. The issues with the birds do concern me more. I’ve seen some strange thinks related to water and the species that live in them and it is a very delicate balance. I understand (pretty well) how it can be affected and the results.

  32. Adgirl says:

When did this become a political blog?? I come here to escape real news and politics.

BTW- has it occured to anyone posting ANY political opinions that there are many people who could be deeply offended?

I notice that a few of the enthusiastic political posters are the same people who become extremely upset about anything they believe is an insensitive statement.

I’m just saying tolerence is a very broad term and should embrace everyone.

    • HD says:

What the hell is going on around this place lately? I’m so lost. 🙂 Someone help me. It seems like everything has turned upside down in a matter of days. I just don’t know what the hell is happening lately. I feel like I am in the Twilight Zone.

      • California35 says:

I thought we could talk about anything here…we can agree and disagree with respect…it is up to us if we want to coment or not, etc etc. Politics can bring some discussions that since, I am not involved or educated about it, I stay out. But in no way am I offended or upset or anything.

        But no fights please 😦

I have been in and out today – cleaning, etc. I am happy to be able to come in to coment “live”. I still have other things to do, so I will be signing off.

I hope all of you have a nice rest of the day —

      • kotagirl29 says:

I’m with you HD. Maybe I don’t get as bothered as others because I enjoy a good debate and have been known to take the other side just for the fun of it. I always play devil’s advocate because I think a good debate gets you thinking. I just don’t understand why there is so much sensitivity. Not everyone is going to agree. So why can’t people agree to disagree and move on? Isn’t that what everyone said Camille and Kyle should do? We are all entitled to our opinions and if we chose to express them that’s all fine as well. But don’t get angry or hurt because someone disagrees with you (general you).

See even there I felt the need the qualify “you” so that no one would get mad thinking I was pointing a finger at them. I have been reading this blog from the beginning and have been both a lurker and poster and I think it is kind of sad how a good discussion site seems to be turning into boxing ring. If someone doesn’t agree with me that’s fine, I’m probably not going to lose any sleep over it. I don’t expect everyone to agree with me and I don’t expect to agree with everyone else. That’s the beauty of an opinion, it doesn’t to be the most popular, heck it doesn’t even have to be accurate. Its just an opinion and everyone is entitled to one.

        • HD says:

@kotagirl29-I am not bothered by much of anything online. What you said I could not have said better.

      • nancy says:

Agree, HD. What the heck is going on? Let’s get back to the reguler snark, diet info, family issues, school, etc. Leading the song now: ” We Are Family “

    • klmh says:

You bring the HW to task for their actions, and behavior. Palin is an individual who has put these horrendous remarks on the table, as has Jessy Kelly, to destroy their opponents. She is responsible for her remarks. She can also be judged here, as in individual, as well, imo. Please note, she does not represent the republican party!

    • MSU Chicago says:

I agree with you tolerance is a very broad term and should embrace everyone. This is some 22 year old nutbag who went on a rampage. Maybe this is some young punk who thinks he knows everything? Have you ever spoke with a recent college graduate that thinks they know it all because they have a Political Science degree? Oh the pain. I can say this because I have a Political Science degree. Snark intended.

I think of this blog in the same manner as a bar, and the rule of bars is – Never discuss politics or religion, because it will never end well. It is too subjective.

    • mnsue says:

wow, I came back on after months off. I really think I was on here very early. Didn’t comment that much. I am scrolling down to see if people noticed how unsurprising Jill’s behavior just was on Me or Dog. Narcissistic, closed mind, materialistic.
Anyway- noone asked but: I don’t like anything Sarah Palin says politically but I also thought some criticism of her show was too much.
But I’m with those who think this isn’t the place for it. I remember conversations veering towards politics a couple times and stopping.
Jill Zarin is a character to us. Palin is a political figure. You will never win a request to get a bunch of people to temporarily state I hate Palin here….its about this character Jill Zarin etc (and because she’s a character that’s part of why I’ve always thought the name was ok)
I will never vote for Palin but there’s no point so early on this tragic day making that direct a connection to her. Her map with targets was reckless, yes. Let the dust settle and if you must, vent on a political blog somewhere.

      • mnsue says:

Oops I forgot, a little early blog trivia…..I think it was Quincy Il. Both of us were commenting as “Sue” and I pointed that out to her. I became mnsue and she, the amazing Quincy.
        That was early!

        • OneMoreInBoston says:

I was lurking on the blog way back then. I think you may have made a teensy little mistake.

Quincy has always posted as Quincy. She has never adopted any other ID.

You must have her mistaken with another sue.

But anyhoo, so happy to see you posting again! Welcome back to the Lynn Family!

  33. Wall St Lady says:

Wow. The above thread rocked my emotions and my heart went into my throat. We came together to discuss Ho Wives, not politics. There(politics)we have broad degrees of values & opinions. I tried to understand why I felt so nervous w/the interactions b’twn posters & it dawned on me that we r a family of choice and seeing sisters fuss & not knowing the outcome made me very nervous because I am emotionally invested. I was so happy to see the goal of being “eager to believe the best” and reconciliation overrode being “right”.
LuMann’s book probably mentions the standard ,don’t discuss politics or religion at a dinner
Party if u want to b polite.
I avoided mentioning religion for the first months on this blog. Today I have a list of 15 people who have openly mentioned their faith in a way that I identified with. I was inspired by HD’s call for prayer for the big picture & for her fellow posters.
I don’t know how to end so I may continue later.
I leave u, thinking how much I “love” my cyber sisters and how I hate seeing posters who know each other well, too quickly not be “eager to believe the best” (1Cor:13)of each other and jump down another’s throat. This seems crazy when the purpose of the blog is to express opinions. Are we too close or too sensitive?
Dear Quincy slipped near her barn on concrete and has a concussion.
She is over the 24 hour period & should recover but is in a lot of pain. She was out, w/her face in the snow for an unknown period of time.
It’s not really my place to blab but I am happy to say there has been sweet reconciliation regarding the “dust up” concerning Q recently. Reconciliation is a good thing for us all I believe it makes God very happy.
LynnFam is a good place & we can/should feel safe here.
Lynn said that outsiders love to see us fight & leave.I hope these outsiders see what we really r :
Let’s try to “b eager to believe the best” of posts from known Lnnfamers don’t sit right. Let’s continue to defend & stand up 4 each other (such a blessing, suck wind trolls I know u r jealous !)
    Let’s not feed the trolls.

We/LynnFam “have a good thing going on” !

WSL –When our personal spirituality is mentioned here on Lynn’s board, so far, no other poster has heckled our private beliefs, or the figurehead/organization of our faiths. I’m OK with us discussing it as long as we are kind and non-judgmental.
The first time someone decides to dump on Buddha, Zeus or the Pope …..

Ouch!!! God Speed to you girlfriend! Do we need to buy you an NFL helmet? They make them extra strong now!
I volunteer to send you a Pittsburgh Steelers one!! The little star logo thingy will be cute on you. 🙂
      Go Steelers!

      • buffywood says:

Agirl, I have to respectly disagree… Go Eagles! I actually do like the Steelers though.

Get well Quincy, if it is an Eagles helmet you prefer I have one here that I won at an action. It is yours if you need it.

  34. Obsessed with RH says:

This is totally off topic but I just had knee surgery on Wednesday..all went well, I had a medial meniscus tear but now I get to read the blogs all day and not feel even one ounce guilty for it while my hubby does the household errands and everything else I beg him to…ha ha! I’m going to milk this as much as I can! Just thought I’d share!!

    • HD says:

Glad all went well. Enjoy milking it. 🙂 I would do the same thing.

    • Rabble Rouser says:

I know- I felt like the Queen of Sheba went I was really sick in bed with hubby at my beacon call- MIL even came over and made dinner.

I hope you heal quickly and well

    • Zipit Zarin says:

I love it…even the MIL served you 😀 Hope you mend as soon as you’re tired of being served hehe.

      • Obsessed with RH says:

Wow….mil serving me? Hell would have had to freeze over first….but I’ll take the hubby for the time being…it is so strange though because the neuroses in me keeps saying oh, what about the laundry, or maybe you should do this or that…but I literally can’t…amazing how you cant shut off the brain! Thanks for the recovery wishes 🙂

    • twoile says:

@OwH Glad u r recouperating well & guiltlessly:0) so very important too. Take care

    • buffywood says:

How do you say good for you and sorry in the same sentence? Ouch, I had surgery both my knees at different point. Milk it as long as that cow can produce!

    • mnsue says:

omg that is funny (not your injury) MILK IT definetly!
Get well soon but yes, let people wait on you.

  35. klmh says:

Whether this man has anything to do with the tea party or not, Palin is not off limits. I’ve learned something today. I had no idea that on her website she marked districts with spotting scope cross hairs and the words “Don’t retreat, instead- RELOAD!”
I also learned what J. Kelly said,“Get on Target for Victory in November.” and “Help remove Gabrielle Giffords from office. Shoot a fully automatic M16 with Jesse Kelly.”
I have learned more than I can understand, and that is how anyone with a supposed political career could use these frightening, incendiary words and phrases to advance their agendas.
This type of rhetoric is unconscionable.

    • klmh says:

      To ZipitZarin, response above:

      • Zipit Zarin says:

klmh, I’m done with the topic. If all the angst from talking about it today on the board didn’t prove politics shouldn’t be discussed, I dunno what will convince.

        • klmh says:

If we are not here to discuss, and to learn from others on this board, are we here to hold hands, sing Cumbia and then bash the housewives? Is that it?
The title “political” isn’t warranted for this topic, in my opinion. This is a discussion about two individuals that made threatening remarks to their opponents. They should be held responsible.
          The end.

          • kotagirl29 says:

I have to disagree. The title political is warranted because we are talking about politicians. If it was a CEO of a fortune 500 company we would discuss it under a business heading. And given the strong emotions that Sarah Palin garners, it isn’t any wonder that any discussion involving her can get a little heated.

With that said, while a I don’t agree with the “re-load” sentiment or the m-16 comment, you can’t really blame them because someone else decided to go out and shoot someone else. The shooter is the guilty party. Period. He chose to pick up a gun and go on a rampage. Sarah Palin didn’t tell him to and she didn’t force him to, he did it all on his own. Whatever happened to being responsible for your own actions?

            • Zipit Zarin says:

            • klmh says:

Exactly. That’s what I am saying, be responsible for your own actions and words!

            • klmh says:

Im not blaming anyone other than the man who pulled the trigger.
I am coming from a different direction. I did not know about Palin’s or Kelly’s remarks. I feel it was a great point of discussion, whether you enjoy the topic or not. Some people on this blog have learned something we might not have known about these two people. Their words speak volumes. Words can certainly affect people and do. Whether that is the case here today or not, is not known at this time.
              Read my posts.
These two people to me are not politicians in that they are not running or are not holding office. Their comments and convictions are not sacred and should not be prohibited from discussion.

            • mnsue says:

Its political, for better or worse, its political. After losing friends and gaining friends on facebook during the ’08 election; stating something that you think transcends politics…..its political.
Sorry klmh. I hate her rhetoric, but its political and I have to side with others that its too early, even with any fb stmts the killer made. I don’t agree with Fox News but people who do don’t agree with msnbc.
Its political, and can end friendships, and this blog is for venting about stupid housewives. (and yeah, I know community 🙂

              • klmh says:

We can agree to disagree. I will leave this topic with this:
MSNBC talks to Rep. Gabrielle Gifford about the death threats, vandalism and harassments. Aired 3/25/10.
“Sarah Palin has the crosshairs of a gun sight over our district and when people do that, they’ve gotta realize there are consequences to that action.”

          • Candace says:

            Obama is an asshole.

            • OneMoreInBoston says:

Candace, I haven’t seen you post before.

Thank you for contributing your opinion.

              Welcome to the Lynn Family!

            • kotagirl29 says:

Well Candace, that is your opinion and you are entitled to it. Just like I said in an earlier post. I may not agree, but I do respect your opinion. Personally I think all politicians are assholes. Whether they are currently active in politics or not.

            • Toront0 says:

Candace, why would you bring Obama into this right now?

    • error404 says:

      I’m undecided.

OT1H… I don’t think this is the forum for political discussion.

OTOH.. Palin holds no office, and is in fact currently a reality TV star.

    • Sha2000 says:

Well said as usual klmh. As I recently said on RCHW blog (and sadly got verbally attacked for saying it):

“I do not check my conscious at the door; I am aware that words can hurt especially words that are typed for the world to see indefinitely. ”

…after the sad events in AZ yesterday, I honestly don’t know how any sane human being can’t agree with that statement now. Yes, hateful rhetoric is unconscionable in any forum.

      • klmh says:

Your quote said it all, thanks.

      • WaxDiva says:

        Sha: Unbelievable.
If everyone else here wants to see Sha’s enlightening comments, go over to RCH and read the entire thread. Honestly, I just cannot believe she/he/Sha would drag something over here.

YOU were not verbally attacked… YOU were the verbal attacker, not the other way around. YOU need to read and then read again what YOU write and what YOU wrote… word by word, and then sentence by sentence… and then read again and again and again until you GET IT.

I really just cannot believe that you would drag your crap over here and try to rehabilitate your words…and YOUR words were truly nasty…unbelievable. Again…. read what YOU wrote!!!

        • OneMoreInBoston says:

          Wax Diva:
How is sha2000 opinion crap? So sorry, but I’m just a teensy bit confused.

It almost sounded for a moment as though you didn’t want sha2000 to post here?

          • Waxdiva says:

OMIB: Your ‘momentary’ conclusion is incorrect.

            • OneMoreInBoston says:

“Unbelievable…”I really just cannot believe that you would drag your crap over here”

What else am I to infer from that type of hostile comment?

Please, dear, educate me, whatever did you mean then?

              • Waxdiva says:

OMIB: No need to go into it any further. You were incorrect in your ‘momentary’ conclusion. Hostile? You’re pretty thin skinned. You can educate yourself by reading all on the RCH site. I will not comment or discuss any further.

                • OneMoreInBoston says:

sorry, how am I thin skinned?

Why would I go to another blog to understand your hostility to sha2000 on THIS blog?

So sorry, dear, but you don’t set the parameters for what I “need” and “don’t need to go into” in a public forum.

If you choose not to defend or discuss your comments I can only conclude it is because you cannot defend them.

        • klmh says:

What happens on RCH stays on RCH. Oo, I like that. Have you seen “The Green Mile”? Its on about every two days somewhere…

  39. Shylurker says:

It has been mentioned several times that this site is a blog about reality housewives on Bravo. Other TV shows on Bravo have been discussed; not all being about the housewives. Skating With the Stars has also been mentioned. I personally prefer not to delve into the area of politics, religion, racism or sexual orientation. Sarah Palin has a reality show on TLC. Is she exempt from discussion? I would like to know how the other posters feel. I would be interested in others opinions of Kate Gosselin, too.

    • Rabble Rouser says:

SP shouldn’t be exempt from a general discussion based on what opinions of her on her reality show.

As for her politics- it starts to become a slipper slope- I don’t want ride.

      I HATE Kate Gosselin..

      • HD says:

I haven’t watched Palin’s show for reasons I won’t discuss here but I never watched it.

As for Kate, I always thought she was mean to her husband in the very few shows that I saw. When they got divorced I was not surprised. She always seemed like she could not stand him.

        • Zipit Zarin says:

I never watched KG’s show either. Everything I’ve ever seen or read about her is her whining/bitching about something. A black hole of gimmiesomethingtofillmyvoidbutIhavenoideawhatthatissoIwillalwaysbemiserableandtakeeveryonenearmedownwithme.

          • Adgirl says:

A few years ago my daughter suggested we watch Jon & Kate plus 8, when the kids were really young. It was cute then. I didn’t find her obsessing over organizing unusual because that is how every single mom to multiples behaves (The Dillys come to mind). It wasn’t till later after Jon quit his job that things got icky between them. I couldn’t watch after some incident at a market, she screamed at him or something. It was awful.
I have to say Jon is incredibly immature too. Another example of extreme personalities that married each other and it failed.

        • Rabble Rouser says:

I don’t watch SP’s show either, primarily because I don’t find her all that interesting in addition not being a big supporter of the TLC network- a residual effect from Kate Gosselin.

KG was so mean to Jon, in another forum we would really get into it (which is part of the reason, I run for the hills here when things get too heated) and the group of J&K supporters would say they had such a fun relationship and it was part of their banter-while the camp I was in maintained, it wasn’t normal or healthy and would end badly.
When J&K split, they sided with Kate and said Kate had to boss him around because he was so lazy and unmotivated etc- without seeing that she picked him. If she wanted a driven man- she should have married one.

    • BessiB says:

I have no use for either of these women, have never watched their shows, and refuse to. So discuss among yourselves.

  40. Rabble Rouser says:

I am not really going to get into what SP and the TP may have done to influence this lunatic other than saying I have seen anything to support that suspicion.

As HD said, my only concern at this moment is for the victims and their families- and I offer up prayer to them all.

  41. Shylurker says:

Error, Sorry, I was busy with my post and did not see yours.

  42. Adgirl says:

WSL – I replied to you upthread.

  43. Pantry viewer says:

I haven’t read all the above. I saw enough to know I don’t want politics on this board. I do not care for sp. And the shooter youtube, he is obviously crazy.

  44. Adgirl says:

    I’ve learned something today.
I don’t like political discussions/lectures here. I live in the most vocal political city in the country.
If I can’t leave it outside of this site then I can’t come here anymore.

    • Zipit Zarin says:

I’ve been going to a political chat room for over 10 years. It’s blood sport there. I love it. You really have to have your chops down to survive. I liken it to being a gladiator using debate as your weapon. I’ve learned a whole lotta skills that are useful in real life there. This board is a whole nother universe and I love it as well. The twain should never meet IMHO.

      • Adgirl says:

I think that’s very cool. I find it rather stressful in general to discuss politics because I live in such a political environment. While growing up here were a lot of political assasinations, kidnapping and terrorism (mostly bombings) right here.
Oh, the riots were a riot too. We still have them. My brother helps organize them. He’s an authentic anarchist.

I don’t talk about politics too much away from my house because it is a blood sport. No matter what one’s opinion is there is always someone looking to one up you. Sometimes I think it is used to belittle people. That’s not ok here on IHJZ.

        • Zipit Zarin says:

Holy crap! Where do you live? (don’t tell) A chat room compared to THAT is no blood sport. Wowzer. I feel like such a piker compared to you 😀

        • Zipit Zarin says:

I have one brother that was CID in the Army, another that is a liberal/progressive that thinks Jon Stewart is Walter Cronkite (well, actually that analogy that I just made up is quite accurate since old Walt pretended to be non-biased too) and another who is a Phd at the Air Force Academy teaching history and now going back to Afghanistan. The liberal brother is good friends with Sheehan, this guy http://www.contracostatimes.com/nation-world/ci_17000422?nclick_check=1
who he met doing consulting in the geek world of computer security. All I know for sure is that life is complicated.

          • Adgirl says:

            It’s in the USA!
            Think… think… sounds like bezerk-ly …

            • Adgirl says:

I didn’t mean to imply I have to dodge bullets to go to the market today. It was incredibly dangerous and unstable when I was growning up. A few months ago there was a huge riot in the neighboring town that my brother organized. It was about a trial verdict. Lots of people were arrested for vandalizing stores.

              • Zipit Zarin says:

Ah, Berzerk ly. Gotcha. I lived in Detroit burbs for 10 years. Every Halloween people would burn their own homes down because…well, they were stupid and listened to some nutjob telling them some lame crap. I just shook my head and couldn’t believe they were dumb enough to be such rubes.

              • Adgirl says:

@Zipit Zarin it is indeed a small and complicated world. Viva le Difference!

        • twoile says:

@Ag You deserve a respite & glad u find it here, verbal jousting is prety timid vs the actual. Peace:)

  45. it’s 8 pm EST. jill and ginger on animal planet now

    • BessiB says:

I just came home and clicked to it. I just came in with it underway, but they were just going into Zarin Fabrics and Bobby’s son was saying what a pain in the ass the dog was in the store, then it showed Jill and that lady walking into the store and Jill saying, “This is my store”.

Now wait a minute. That store has been in the Zarin family for a couple of generations now, has survived Bobby’s last divorce, and last I checked NY is a separate property state. So where does Jill get off calling that store hers? I am going to stretch and guess that Bobby’s Kids Probably Hate Jill Zarin.

Yuck! And Jill’s dog is disgusting.

      • BessiB says:

This is hard to watch, Jill does not give a shit about what is best for that dog, Jill just wants to do what is best for Jill. Hoping she turns that around, but she had dog trainers in there before.

  46. Kat says:

    I hate Jill Zarin.

    • Zipit Zarin says:

LOL I turned the tv on to check it out…that voice, the FOGHORN. Couldn’t do it. Click.

      • Kat says:

I think Animal Planet is a fitting habitat for Jill.

      • neroes says:

Actually it’s hysterical. Jill has a party for Ginger. One guest walked in and pooped on the floor. Now Jill is chasing the guests out of her bedroom. Please someone in NYC go and rescue poor

        • Adgirl says:

          Was it LuAnn that pooped??

        • BessiB says:

          1. It was not clear to me who did the pooping. Jill just blamed the other dog.

          2. If it was the other dog, it probably would not have pooped in there if Jill’s dog had not already shit all over that room before.

          • neroes says:

One of the guest dogs pooped when he walked through the door. Jill got mad at her friend and asked her why she didn’t walk the dog before she came. Later Jill had to put Ginger in the bedroom. Ginger was getting too hyper. Apparently someone opened the door and the other dogs ran in. I think Ginger made that poop. Jill was mad and wanted to know who opened the door. She made everyone leave. “THE PARTY IS OVER.” Practically kicked them out the door. Typical Jill.

            • Zipit Zarin says:

And Foghorn doesn’t get why she’s hated. LOL

            • BessiB says:

I just saw the bedroom part. So if the other dog had already pooped when it first came in, then it really would have been marking in the bedroom, IF it had been the offender.

But Ginger has pooped in the living room for sure, as we saw on Housewives. So the other dog may have been marking ( not that that is acceptable – at all).

              • BessiB says:

oh, and and I saw where Jill was taking Ginger back to the bedroom, come back and sit down, then get up again after other dog had headed back:

Who could this mysterious ‘someone’ have been? Who was in her apartment that she did not know about? Looked like the crew was till in living room.

    • sofi says:

We have come full circle today. Thank you for getting us back on track!

  47. Adgirl says:

Speaking of Animal Planet …. check out this cute porcupine with the Big Apple Circus. He was passed out in his pen. The vet figured out he has low blood sugar so he’ll be ok.

What’s funny is the cone that usually goes around the animal’s head is pointed the other way to protect the vet from the pointy quills. LOL.

  48. Wall St Lady says:

What I concluded tonight, is that mayb some one here, should start a political blog. I would love to b challenged in my political knowledge. If we kept Lynn’s only rule : no attacking it would be a great place.

    A lighter topic
Did anyone cook something yummy for the week end ?
I am making Quincy’s quiche. I am also making TLD’s pie.

      Hi WSL,

I hope you don’t mind me asking…I know that you live in NYC and am wondering if you know of anyone who will attend Teresa’s class (yes, I said “Teresa” and “class” in the same sentence) on Monday night? I think this is the first time she will be in public since Juicy was found guilty.

      • I made a peach cobbler and ate half of it, but please don’t tell
Buffywood-that’s just between you n me, ok?

        RE Tree’s Learning Annex Class:

According to her facebook page, there are still tickets available. She is still hush-hush about her surprise guest, but we all know that it’s Rob Shuter from popeater.
He’ll be there to censor any questions that might embarrass Tree… What a joke! I really hope someone reading this goes and reports back… along with video!

I saw Mrs Ape’s face on the cover of the Learning Anex’s magazine in Oct. They have famous speakers
    On a very regular basis.
I am only motivated to go as of today. I imagine they r sold out so I will have to figure out another way in (friend of friend connected). If I can get a ticket I would have to carry a small trash can.
It may snow again big time ; this could prevent some ticket holders from attending.
    I’m gonna try.

    • Sparkles says:

Thanks, WSL — I hope that you can make it and give everyone a report! Apparently it is “almost sold out,” according to Mrs. Gorilla. She announced on FB that she is bringing a “very special guest” that is not a HW. (I have to laugh because one of her commenters replied, “Is it your criminal husband?”)

      Who can it be?

I hope that this doesn’t come across as political because I do not mean it to be political but I find it heartbreaking that the little 9 year old girl who was killed in Tuscon today was born on 9-11-2001.

    • Adgirl says:

That was not political. It was sweet. And it’s sad … the poor child’s mother & father have been through so much already

If you forcefully speculated it was Al Gore’s fault, or a plot by Aztec separatists or Ross Perot inflamed passions in weak minded people to destablize our government, that would be political.

  62. WSL says:

Teresa Giudice is a best-selling author, TV star, and successful businesswoman not to mention a great cook, and a mother of four.

In her Learning Annex seminar, moderated by Popeater gossip columnist Rob Shuter, Teresa will tell you how to have it all. Whether you want to get on a reality TV show, write a book, start and run a business, change careers, this inspiring evening with a woman who has 377,000 online followers will get you going in the right direction.

Teresa will talk about marketing yourself, dealing with difficult people, working with the press, and she will share juicy details about what goes on behind the scenes of the Real Housewives of New Jersey.

Teresa is a hero to modern women because of her fabulous style, her positive attitude, and her effusive love for her family. Even in the chaos of childrearing, working, and filming a television show, she still makes time to make homemade meals.

Teresa Giudice is the author of Skinny Italian, a New York Times bestseller and the star of Bravo’s Real Housewives of New Jersey. Her latest book The Italian Family Cookbook includes 60 more Giudice family recipes from the shores of Sala Consilina with an emphasis on preparing, serving and eating meals with the ones you love.

Guss who is gonna cause a dust up ?
Suggested ?s. I may only get one shot. Oops ,that may not b politically correct. How about ,I may be able to only ask one ? B4 either Teresa throws a desk at me or Jo throws a pizza in my face. Or the Apetts bite my heels.
So I will need to ask hard & fast.
Also, I am going to b in a room w/a bunch of morons, present company excluded, who paid $20 to learn from their hero,
Ms Gorilla. These morons may not take kindly to a non hero worshiper like my self.
I going to take a hit for the LynnFam.

    • lillybee says:

You are braver than I, WSL.

    • California35 says:

      I meant to reply here.

You are going? I am sorry for you, but I will be waiting for your report.

Thank you for taking one for the team 🙂

    • Adgirl says:

WSL – Learning Annex?? What a brave soul you are with a tummy of steel.
I will be chilling a martini for you. I’m sure you’ll need upon your return. Shall I leave the entire decantor in your fridge?

      LOL. Have fun my friend!

      • justanothermary says:

I truly cannot believe this moron is actually going to go through with this “class”. What kind of “modern” woman would be so stoooopid??? She claims she didn’t know about all Juicy’s monkey business then claims she’s smart. She writes an Italian cookbook (yea right) then gets busted on tv for not knowing how to make pizza dough. She butchers the English language and does “speaking” engagements. This woman makes my dish rags seem interesting and engaging but no one is paying to hear them speak!

        GO GET HER WSL!!!!

    • Sparkles says:

WSJ, how exciting! Yes, that is certainly taking one for the team! We DO need to think of the perfect question, perhaps about the recent court ruling?
Regardless whether you can ask a question, however, it is exciting that this board will have its Education Correspondent on the scene to provide coverage of this unprecedented learning opportunity.

I have thought: You know how Teresa is now saying she will bring a “very special guest”? It occurred to me that she is afraid of the questions she will get, especially after the court ruling, so she is going to bring one of her daughters to sit on stage with her so that people will be less likely to ask tough questions out of sympathy for the child.

      • Sparkles says:

Oops, I mean to say WSL, not WSJ. Though I’m sure the Wall Street Journal will cover the event as well.

        • justanothermary says:

I truly don’t know why, but Tre just really gets my shorts in a bundle. Does she really think she has it all or that she is some kind of a role model? Does having it all HAVE to include having criminal charges brought against you? Hell, having it all might include a prison record for this woman and she still continues to wander through life with her head so far up her ass she has to cut a hole in her belly button to she where she’s going! UGH!!!!

    • error404 says:

T does have it all! She’s got a mansion, a foreclosure notice, a husband, a mistress for her husband, a bitchin ride, a ticket for driving it w/o seatbelt on, a law suit, a court date, a fist full of fake hair… what else could I girl want?

The marketing part should be short and sweet:
      A. Be born in an age where people are obsessed with talentless trash like Snookie and Paris.
      B. Hire a real “ambulance chaser” PR person who’s willing to stoop so low, he’d win any limbo competition.
      C. Take any shred of dignity, humility or civility you may have and chuck it. Self respect is for losers!

      • BessiB says:

” Teresa, I have a marketing question. Even with A, B, and C, how can you possibly overcome your credibility crisis, or is this not the goal? “

    • twoile says:

@WSL Fantastic! Looking forward to your report.:0) Tx for taking 1 for the team/fam.

    • Anne says:

You would actually waste time to go to that event? Hmmmm…something doesn’t sit right. If you find Teresa so vulgar and uncouth then why grace her with your presence? It actually makes you look worse from a class perspective. Food for thought…

I dislike Teresa, but I wouldn’t waste an hour of my time or let other ridicule me in any social setting and I live in Manhattan. If one goes to such an event, then you open yourself up to the consequences which are rightfully served at that point. I would think twice, if I were you because it doesn’t demonstrate you are a better or a more intelligent person by gracing Teresa with your presence or your banter. Your quips will be lost and you will only receive the groups ire, which will be deserved by placing yourself in such a position.

I know The Learning Annex and they love controversy and you will only be putting more money in Bill Zanker’s pocket by causing a stir. The more drama he has at these events is portional to inviting speakers back. It creates marketing and he loves that.

      • BessiB says:

For the sole purpose of coming back her and giving us a by blow and by blow account. We want to know exactly how she pulls this bullshit off. Although, we are clued in that all the questions will be screened. Are

        • BessiB says:

people REALLY interested in her fabulousness? It is so incredible. Sometimes y0u have to see it for yourself.

          • Nancy says:

The one question I’d love to ask her is how she plans on sending her kids to college?
(Yes I’m assuming colleges out there will take them)

      • Waxdiva says:

Ann: Hmmm… What CONSEQUENCES are you speaking of??

I hope that WSL wasn’t thinking of wearing a sign reading “Rep of the IHJZ Website,” ’cause that would immediately label her an anti-fan of Tree, otherwise, how would anyone pick her out of the class or know who she was??
Second, oh my… I wouldn’t even blink an eye if I were listed in the Blue Book and found out that WSL attended this ‘event.’ Big deal. However, as a member of the DAR… now THEY might be a little offended if WSL attended because Tree is only second generation American and her wedding was not announced in T&C, nor held her reception at The Maidstone or a private NYC club (they’re private, can’t name them), or even Ciprianis.
As for the LearningAnnex PR… they didn’t do much of a job for Tree’s class… there’s still tickets available.

    • Prayingforthecure says:

I am thinking that in order to avoid potentially unwanted questions, they will have everyone write their questions down on some sort of note cards as they enter the event and then at the end of Teresa’s presentation, only a few of the questions that are written on the note cards will be answered. They will probably claim that due to time limitations that they don’t have time to answer all of questions (aka any undesireable questions). Or, they will have people planted in the audience that will ask only predetermined questions sort of like some politicians are known to do.

  63. California35 says:

You are? I’m sorry you, but will be waiting patiently for your report.

Cal 35 what brought u to Lynn’s blog and when did u first post or lurk ?
In July I did a daily google alert on Teresa. After she filed & I learned of all the people she & Jo stiffed I wanted to follow them & hope to see Justice done. Lynn’s site came out & I looked & have been here daily since then. When I first posted,I was so happy, some thought I might be a troll & didn’t talk to me.
What r u doing up so late ?
    I drank a soda w/caffeine & should not have.

    • California35 says:

Hi WSL – I am sorry I missed your post. I kept coming to see if anyone was still awake, but I must have stoped just before your wrote this.

I’ve always been a late sleeper, even asince a little girl I have bee the last one to go to sleep at home. My mind wonders and it takes a long time to bring it to a sleepy state. With TV, books, and not the net I keep entertained. Theproblem is in the morning, and I wish I can sleep some more. I have tried harder to go to sleep at about 10-11, to help me feel more rested but I don’t try on the weekends.

I came to Lynn’s blog back when she was on the other place (can’t think of the name). The NYHW was still on, and I kept wondering what was going on between Bethenny and Jill. I kept thinking that I would find something about the real reason Jill was acting like that tours her. I sslo thought that maybe just maybe they would make up tours the end of the season, and that all they were (or Jill was) doing was trying to creat drama to make ip at he end. I looked and looked for things with their names, then came across with IHJZ. I though it was funny but also got info I didn’t know about the Jill that I didn’t know. I kept coming and am still here. I didn’t post for s very long time, I had never posted on a blog or even spend time on one (I did look into another one long before, but not about TV or anything like that.. And it didn’t have many posters or updates). There were three main reason why i didnt post…I felt insecure about my writing skills and there had been a period when posters critized the writing in others, so I was even more insecure. I was nervous to be acused to be a troll simply because I didn’t explained my self correctly or because I would agree with the wrong poster. The third reason is that I was always late for the party… I was always behind, even reading every day I couldn’t catch up.

I finally got the courage to write, still a bit behind, but am here. Now when someone addresses me directly I feel like I am part of this group. I like it here!

By the way, I am not sure if I started coming her when I was Finishing a English class or after I was done, but I do remember that I though it was wonderful I found this place to be able to read different writing styles also.

WSL – Thanks so much for asking, and Sorry again for responding until now. I hope you still read this.

      Have a wonderful Sunday.

      • @Cal35. I enjoy reading your posts. and you have a very good writing style. 🙂

      • Rabble Rouser says:

cal- i was sure your posts were acknowledged or at least i felt you part of this group and discussions. i am sorry if that wasn’t conveyed strongly enough for you because i value what you bring to the table. as far as i am concerned, you are in the ihjz family

Now, that sounds good! I’m nursing a cold that just has to be gone by tomorrow so I can talk to, oh, about 55 students tomorrow, one right after the next. You guys are keeping me entertained between naps.

I woke up to silence. We only had about 1/2 inch of snow last night, but at 9 a.m. there was not a sound outside but a few birds fussing over a bird feeder. Amazing. Tonight we’re to get up to 12 inches more, but I suspect Monday morning will not be as peaceful as everyone digs out and gets to work.

  68. WSL says:

I added a bagel w/cream cheese & salmon for WSM cuz I woke him up. He said that, although I love my LynnFam,I can’t make noise & wake anyone up to play with.
He said he would go with me to meet Ms Ape. That way we might get 2 questions in & he can protect me if Teresa,Jo or the crowd gets ugly. He is so sweet; I am glad I renewed our contract on New Years day & decided to keep each other one more year.

    • California35 says:

Does that man have a single brother? LOL! As they say in the movies, “I want what she’s having.”

  69. justanothermary says:

I’m totally off topic (seems I type that lot) but I haven’t slept and I need to get over my up-thread Tre rant so I gotta share this story.

Anyway . . . I have this neighbor, Doug, very nice guy, big tree hugger, blue-collar to the core, you know the type. He has a huge yellow lab who sleeps in the middle of the street in front of his house. We all know this a simply drive around him when necessary. So, I’m at the City Counsel meeting last week listening to all the locals discuss the latest bake sales, basketball games, etc. and it come up that the City has been unable to paint the lines down the middle of the street in front of Doug’s house for years because of the dog. After much disucssion it was decided that, since the dog has been there for years and it doesn’t seem to be any real safety risk, we’ll take the finances allotted for painting the street and get a few new flags for the fire hydrants that get lost in the snow. Some of them are looking pretty shabby. You just gotta smile.

My Isabelle doesn’t lie in the road, but she and one neighbor play this game: Izzy is sniffing about in the yard near the road, neighbor drives by and seeing little dog near road slows down, this get’s Izzy’s notice and she picks her head up, this causes the car to slow further, this really peeks Izzy’s interest and she moves closer, seeing this the car stops at which point Izzy decides “Oh, they must want to say hello” and enters the road, a few seconds pass, when neighbor fails to lower window and say hi, Izzy gets either insulted or bored and returns to her lawn pursuits, neighbor drives away.
It’s like a comedy routine I watch over and over from the front window.
btw, most cars just drive by at a normal speed and the dog never pays them any attention, sticking to her lawn activities.

      • California35 says:

    Hi Mary !
My Daddy raised hunting dogs. We always had pointers, setters, labs
& y ma ra mas(sp). There was always at least one set of puppies.
When I moved to NYC in 76 we had one litter of 11 yellow labs.
I asked Daddy if I could have one. He was called Duke, cuz, like john Wayne he was big(6’5″)and a man of few words. He replied to my request: I would shoot it first. (He didn’t want any big hunting dog living in a NYc apartment!)

    • justanothermary says:

I know my Jake (yellow lab) would not be happy in an apartment of any sort, but Tucker (pekepoo) would LOVE to crap on JZ’s floor!

  71. justanothermary says:

WSL: You just gotta get to Tre at that class. If I could only ask her one questions I would ask her why she continues to flaunt her conspicuous consumption in the faces of the people and families she and Joe have harmed and what she thinks would be a proper remedy for those families. But if you ask her that you’ll have to be prepared to explain what conspicuous consuption means.

    • justanothermary says:

Hell, just ask her where she keeps her conscience and tell her to pull it out, dust if off and put it on. It would serve her well in light of her Karmic future.

It wasn’t until Sparkles asked last night about Aps lecture that I thought about it. I orderered on line & was surprised to find availability. I want u to know IHJZ was my first email posting and Ms Ape’s ticket purchase is my 1st on line credit card use !

Ann,I have never been to the annex & always thought it was at NYU in a seating capacity of 40ish.
I learned its at the Hilton at 53rd & 6th at 7pm & I have been to business conferences at the Hilton. I plan to call tomorrow cuz the phone message the hours r M-Th. Since u say u have been there, what is the seating capacity ? Are the seats 1stcome,1st serve ? What was the last speaker u herd there and when was it ?

I am certainly not going to mention IHJZ. I am also not concerned about the crowd. I once went to a Life Spring family meeting as a for my newly “converted” brother in NYC. I was the last of 300 people standing as the leader was able to control 299 people to commit to being back on a particular date & then sit down representing their promice. People said my blank is getting married & the leader, after condescending badgering, got them to realize they were in control of their life & could come if they wanted to. This promice was being extracted early in the secessions . I was on the last row. As the leader pulled his act on me ,I insisted that I refused to make a commitment to anything that I had not fully reviewed and I didn’t have enough information to in good conscience commit to b back here on the date everyone else had committed to. Then several people stood back up & he used another BS line to try to control me. I said Life Spring is like a religion that works for some including my brother but I already have a religion that works for me and that if his course’s teachings didn’t line up w/my faith which is my truth I wouldn’t commit to being there until I judged the Life Spring program. More people stood back up & he told me I wasn’t open to new truths & should leave. I did leave but so do 25 others.
So no Ann,I don’t fear the crowd 🙂

    • California35 says:

You are brave!! Good for you on not committing to anything you don’t feel comfortable with or don’t believe in – No matter the pressure.

WSL I answered your question earlier, I hope you don’t miss it.Sorry I answered late.

    • Sparkles says:

To Anne’s question – I was the one who raised the topic of the Learning Annex with WSL by asking if she knew anyone who is planning to go. And all joking aside, I am not suggesting WSL or anyone else make a scene — nor do I think that WSL (who is a successful businesswoman) would truly do so. I do think, however, that it would be interesting to get a report of the event. We all watch the shows on TV, read stories and write about the HWs, including the ones we don’t like. The event is inexpensive and if it were in my town I might go out of curiosity and for a laugh.

    • twoile says:

@WSL Good 4 you I had a similar experience while hesitantly attending an “Est” mtg the forrunner to Scientology…..several of my “bright” friends brought me to the mtg & joined in when it was time to commit & pay. I declined & was chastised from the podium as I stood my ground etc, was not invited back:)

  77. WSL says:

I don’t like the politics of George Soros. Once at a meeting that I was told had the highest security of any meeting in NYC outside of the UN because the attendees were leaders from emerging market countries who came to try an get investors for their 3rd world & better countries. George Soros & George Russell were the moderators. I was on the front row of 100 attendees. I was given the mike (the 2nd time to both Georges anger). Any way I asked questions that did not support their agenda & was pretty much dismissed by the Georges. But I began my 2nd question w/a solution option for the attendees. When we broke for coffee at least 10 attendees tracked me down & we exchanged cards. George Russell arranged for me to be at his lunch table to “watch” me. I had already communicated my “option/solution” so I was my charming WSL self.
As a matter of fact Mr. Russell (chairman of the on of the largest investment management consulting companies) ,gave me his card & we later kept in touch.
Once again,Ann, I am not afraid of a crowd because my convictions lead me not my feelings.

Enjoy yourself! Sit back and just soak in all the wisdom coming from Tree’s endless abyss of life experience, deep philosophical thoughts and, just for you WSL, I hope she touches on her astute financial dealings/accomplishments.

Being a Scandinavian, I also understand and can read Norwegian and Danish – And I have, over the years, come to very much appreciate the many different ways of speaking English. 🙂 The different regional accents in this country just add to the richness of the language.

Well I am sure u feel more confident when u see me butcher the English language ! I have gotten better by being here but my BB doesn’t always scroll back properly so I can check my sentences & punctuation. Thank Jesus for spell check. But if u can’t spell anyone sometimes after 5trys I give up & just put (sp) next to the world to acknowledge I know its wrong.
I was always quick w/letters. But other than letters I never wrote anything. I feel like I am writing a letter to u. My grandmother & I wrote till her death. Matter of fact, when I returned from her funeral,I had a letter in my box from her.
She always said that”letter writing was a dying art but not for well brought up ladies.

I never said ,nor do I think Tree is vulgar. Like Dolly Parton she is a character. It is not my style to dress like them, though I bet both have a Channel pocketbook or two. I love Dolly and have always defended her uniqueness. I am also known for singing loudly !
    “Here u go again,
    looking better
    than a body aught to,
    And shaking me up so”
Tree isn’t vulgar maybe tacky to a St John clad 50+ year old
But she is a THIEF to me.
Profiting at the expense of innocent victims w/o remorse is scarry.
We have a culture of Bernie Madoff thieves who have become
    Hardened to those they hurt.
    That behavior is Vulgar.
I believe the bankruptcy laws need to be changed & I hope the public’s outrage at the flaunting of wealth in the midst of a bankruptcy request will prompt some changes in our legal system.

    • WaxDiva says:

WSL: Tree et al ARE theives. Maybe the problem isn’t so much the laws, but enforcing the laws… for example, their personal property was to be auctioned to earn as much as possible, but they ended up paying the Court a little over $50,000 for their belongings. AJ Wilner, the auction company, was so overwhelmed by the response to the auction that they started weeding out the rubberneckers by requiring a $300 deposit to participate and they were still overwhelmed by THAT response. (I put my $300 down!) The auction was called off and somehow the Joo-dices wrangled the money to pay for their own stuff.
My point is this: had the auction proceeded, they would have made much more than $50,000. Usually the auction house takes 30%,…they may have negotiated their take with the Court, who knows… but even if they took 40% they would have passed the $50,000.
They’re supposed to be paying their creditors and the auction would have produced money…. a lot more than $50,000… but the final decision was made (don’t know for sure, but think it was Judge Morris Stern) and the auction cancelled. Just an example of how gray the area of enforcement can be…

Alas, I have no recipes, just stuff in the frig and freezer. Justanothervirg works at a place where they make sauces for restaurants like Olive Garden and Red Lobster. No generally my tastes, but he brings home lots of freebies. There was a cheese soup base that I used, I had some frozen hash browns in the freezer along with some broccoli and cauliflower. I had a lot of left-over ham and before you know it, I had soup!

I had a lot of kids and a little budget when I was young and learning to cook. Nothing gets wasted around here.

  85. WSL says:

skogsstig how do u keep them straight ? Do u have the same accent for all 3 & when do u use each ?

    • skogsstig says:

      It’s not really that hard…
*Swedish in overseas calls with the family, here with Scandinavian friends.
*English at home, with family & friends, professionally and at leisure.
*German less frequently, alas, so it’s a bit rusty. (But I can still watch German movies without having to read the subtitles, yeah!)

What happens, typically, when while in a gathering of people using their home language and a person who does not know that language enters the space/room/gathering, is that everybody automatically shifts into English. Doing otherwise is considered very impolite.
The only “trick to it” is to “use it or loose it.” I’m told, after all these years here, that my English now sounds decidedly American, and when people ask where I’m from they usually ask what part of New England that might be.

You have a very rare condition, which causes your testicles to press on your spine and the pressure creates one hell of a headache. The only way to relieve the pressure is to remove the testicles.’

Joe was shocked and depressed. He wondered if he had anything to live for. He had no choice but to go under the knife. When he left the hospital, he was without a headache for the first time in 20 years, but he felt like he was missing an important part of himself. As he walked down the street, he realized that he felt like a different person. He could make a new beginning and live a new life.

    He saw a men’s clothing store and thought, ‘That’s what I need… A new suit…’

He entered the shop and told the salesman, ‘I’d like a new suit..’

The elderly tailor eye d him briefly and said, ‘Let’s see… Size 44 long.’

Joe laughed, ‘That’s right, how did you know?’

‘Been in the business 60 years!’ the tailor said.

Joe tried on the suit it fit perfectly.

As Joe admired himself in the mirror, the salesman asked, ‘How about a new shirt?’

Joe thought for a moment and then said, ‘Sure.’

The salesman eyed Joe and said, ‘Let’s see, 34 sleeves and 16-1/2 neck.’

Joe was surprised, ‘That’s right, how did you know?’

‘Been in the business 60 years.’

Joe tried on the shirt and it fit perfectly.

Joe walked comfortably around the shop and the salesman asked, ‘How about some new underwear?’

Joe thought for a moment and said, ‘Sure.’

    The salesman said, ‘Let’s see… Size 36.

Joe laughed, ‘Ah ha! I got you! I’ve worn a size 34 since I was 18 years old.’

The salesman shook his head, ‘You can’t wear a size 34. A size 34 would press your testicles up against the base of your spine and give you one hell of a headache.’

    New suit – $400
    New shirt – $36
    New underwear – $6
    Second Opinion – PRICELESS

excellent with sentence structure, and punctuation. I was
awful. Yet she and I developed a great friendship with our
letters. She also introduced me to stamp collecting. I can
honestly say my extensive philatelic collection is because
of her. She died 20 years ago and I still have her letters in

Jac Laurita and her daughter, Ashley, posed for pics for NoH8. While I believe people can change, I find it odd that NoH8 would use pictures of some of the very people who demonstrated “hatred” (even if we can understand why they “hated”) on their respective shows. Perhaps they have all truly changed their ways but if the next season reveals continued poor behavior instigated by anger, then having those involved in it as part of a campaign against hate will definitely send the wrong message if it already hasn’t. In fact, to me when looking at some of the other faces of NoH8 makes it almost a joke of a campaign with no credibility. That is a shame.

Thanks. Actually, I have a son who is 18 and a daughter 15 who have the genetic disease. I have another son who is 9 and another daughter who is 5 who have not been tested but I do not believe they have it as they have not demonstrated any symptoms.

          • OneMoreInBoston says:

The tests must be invasive if you haven’t had them tested yet.
So scary to have to monitor them to watch for a disease.
My heart goes out to you.

            • Prayingforthecure says:

No…it is a simple blood test but it costs anywhere from $300 up to get them. My daughter started showing symptoms first when she was about 8 or 9. She began to be off balance and was clumsy. At first we didn’t think it was more than growing pains but after awhile it was obvious it was much more. Thinking it was in her feet due to high arches we started with the podiatrist and used inserts in her shoes and that seemed to help. After awhile it was obvious that it was more than that and were referred to a neurologist. First one, couldn’t find anything horribly unusual and more time went by without any true answeres. Finally, a second neurologist who also couldn’t find anything but said “I’m missing something” and requested full evaluations from a neuromuscular specialist and it was that doctor that ordered the blood test. She said it was either Friedreich’s Ataxia or Charcot-Marie-Tooth, neither of which I had ever heard of before. My daughter tested posted for Friedreich’s Ataxia. Because both parents must carry the gene, we had my oldest son tested because my two oldest children are from a previous marriage. My two youngest children are from my current marriage. Unfortunately, lightening struck us twice and my son tested positive as well. I have not had the youngest two tested due not only to costs but also the likelihood I would marry two men who also carry the same gene would be unusual though not impossible as it is estimated that 1 in 100 people are carriers of the FA gene. Anyway, at this point the younger two have not shown symptoms yet. Trust me, I would know the symptoms if they appear now and would get the test but I have enough on my plate as it is. Maybe that is cowardly on my part but other parents in my position with children who are from same mom and dad have also taken this approach. Plus with pre-existing conditions and health insurance, I don’t want to invite unwanted insurance battles.

              • butterisafruit says:

Praying, I don’t think you’re cowardly at all. I think you’re remarkable. Your children are fortunate to have you. You know what you’re doing. If not, Lynn, if you read this, will you please remove the the video and link for me. Also, I do spend time reading this website as often as I can. Usually, I am able to read it in the late evenings after my children go to bed. Sometimes I get a chance to read it if I take a lunch at work but I don’t take a lunch very often. If I’m not able to read the site during the week then I spend time on the weekends catching up while I do laundry or while the kids are doing their own things. Add to that the fact that in Kim’s house the men/women/lovers seem to come and go so, Sweetie may be the one person who is always there, always dependable and the only one actually doing what she says she will do, when she says she will do it.
