I Hate Jill Zarin Million Dollar Listing / Watch What Happens Live
Million Dollar Listing Week Six By Quincy IL
Josh Flagg is with his dog, Godzilla, when the phone rings. The call is from a friend Jason who is extremely wealthy. Jason has a home in Hidden Valley which is 45 minutes from Beverly Hills. The home is on 20 acres of land. Josh F goes to the home to see the property and the maid is not expecting him. She walks through the house with him. The house is 10,000 sq. ft. It has 6 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, state of the art theater, and saltwater swimming pool. The master bedroom has a large sitting room. There is wood paneling in the library and marble in the kitchen. Josh F thanks the maid and will call the owner from his car.
Madison and Heather are leaving a store called the County Market with lunch which they eat at a picnic table. Madison receives an offer on the West Hollywood penthouse in the Russian neighborhood from Christie, the agent for a potential buyer, Dmitri. The offer is for $775,000, but the house is listed for $995.000. The owner Julian is under a great deal of pressure to sell. Madison calls Lydia who is worried about the low offer.
Josh F calls Jason the seller of the Hidden Valley home. Jason wants $13,000,000. The commission would be $387,000. Josh F believes the price should be $11,000,000. If the house sits on the market, he feels Jason will lower his price.
Josh A is in a dark suit with a white shirt. MIkey , Josh’s assistant, arrives dressed casually with his baseball cap on backwards. Josh A has a potential buyer of a $10,000,000 to $20,000 000. A representative of the foreign buyer will arrive by private jet and have one day to look at the properties with Josh A. Josh A thinks this representative can purchase the home without input from the owner.
Josh F holds brokers ‘open in Hidden Valley for Jason’s house. The menu includes macaroni with a special cheese, truffles, watermelon with balsamic vinegar reduced, lobster and chicken curry. He eats during the showing. He shows the pool to a broker and offers the broker food and drinks. At the end, he holds his stomach with his hand to show that he is very full. He thinks his feedback from the brokers’ open house is good.
Josh A meets the representative of the very rich foreigner on the tarmac as the representative leaves a small private jet. The representative is in a plaid shirt and jeans. Josh A comments about his clothes in the interview.
Madison has gone to Lydia’s office and she is worried about the reaction of Julian the seller to the low ball offer. Julian wants to listen to the call from Christie, the buyer’s agent. Julian gets upset and refuses to go below $825,000. Julian states that this is a gift. He walks out of the negotiations very upset. Madison thinks the deal is dead.
Josh A has driven to the top of Beverly Hills to show a $12,000,000 house to the representative. The house is 15,000 sq. ft. It has 9 bedrooms and 9 Bathrooms. There are two master bedrooms. There is a 2 story guest house. The house is made for entertaining and there is a 15 ft projection screen that drops down from the ceiling. The house has canyon views. The representative wants a 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms house with a large area for the staff”, but he is not interested in this house. They end the tour leaving the listing agent a bit upset that she was not allowed to show then entire estate. Josh A likes to be respectful of the agent’s time, but the representative is in a time crunch because he has to leave in 5 hours.
Josh F has gone back to Jason’s house to wait for a possible buyer and his agent. The agent is having trouble finding the listing. Josh F discusses the location of the car with the buyer and agent several times and we see him waiting inside and outside. Finally, a call comes cancelling the showing as the buyer got stuck in traffic and has to return to the city. Josh F says that they should not stand people up.
Josh A takes the representative to a gated community, Beverly Park, to see a $19,500,000 house. The house is 20,000 sq.ft. The entrance is huge with large glass windows. There is a 12 person Jacuzzi, an infinity pool, a panic room closet, a guest house and a basketball court. Normally, Josh A can tell if someone is going to buy, but he is unable to read the representatives expressions.
Josh F is with his grandmother in her Penthouse. (Josh’s grandmother brought polyester to the USA. She owns a lot of commercial properties in LA also.) His grandmother is 90 years old. She tells Josh that he should write a book about selling real estate, he objects saying that he is only 25 years old, but decides to write the book.
Josh A is at home and his “girlfriend” Heather (Madison’s assistant) shows up for dinner. She tells Josh A that she wants to go back into selling real estate. She worked as Madison’s assistant for 2 years, but she is a licensed agent with 7 years of experience. Heather is tired of driving from West Hollywood to Malibu and wants to work with Madison, but from West Hollywood where she lives and knows the homes. If her suggestion to Madison is not accepted, Josh A will try to get Heather a job with one of his friends in West Hollywood.
Josh F goes to the Four Season’s Hotel and check in to write his book. He wears a white robe and tries several times to write. He calls his mom and gets some help. He sold his first house from a high school English literature class classroom for over one million dollars.
Josh A is calling and leaving messages for the representative. He is asleep when the representative calls from London with an offer of $15,000,000. That is $4,500,000 less than the listing price. Josh tells his dogs that it is early and goes back to bed.
Heather and Madison are in the Malibu office when a call comes from Christie with a counter offer on the deal for the West Hollywood penthouse. The offer comes by fax and it is for $825,000 and the deal is accepted. The commission will be $24,750. That has to be shared with Lydia. Madison is upset that Heather told him that she wants to sell in West Hollywood. Madison asks Heather if Josh A has anything to do with this.
Thanks Quincy! Great job! ~Lynn
Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen
Guest: Bethenny Frankel
I think that Andy really and sincerely likes Bethenny, he knows she’ll always be entertaining, she’ll always answer every question honestly and he seems to enjoy her company.
The poll question tonight was “Do you think it is a good idea or a bad idea that Jason works with Bethenny”. I love how Bethenny is always calling Andy out on these poll questions, the are rather lame sometimes and most of us can usually predict what the response would be. Bethenny was sure the audience would vote that it was a “bad idea”.
Bethenny explained that Jason is really good in the areas where she is not so good and they compliment each other well. Andy used the “Ying and Yang” description.
Andy’s three obsessions this week:
1. The face that scares me every time I see it, one of the Miami Housewives’ mother they call Momma Elsa. Andy showed a montage of her and it is definitely cringe worthy and a bit scary. Another great reason not to watch that show!
2. Bethenny’s relationship with her baby nurse, Gina is really cute. Andy showed a clip of the two ladies at the spa and Gina asking about a vagina wax. Gina is hysterical without even trying, she keeps a straight face while making everyone laugh. Bethenny was very lucky to find Gina, Andy and Bethenny agreed, they couldn’t have cast the role better if it were a scripted show.
3. Out of the NBC archives, Andy pulled Bethenny’s last moments on Martha Stewart’s Apprentice, Ole Martha was pretty rough on Bethenny and basically told her that all of the things she was doing would not get her anywhere in this business. Yet as Bethenny pointed out, all of those things were perfectly ok for Bravo! Bethenny added that sometimes when you meet your hero, it can be a bit disappointing.
Bravo released a video of some scenes from Bethenny Ever After with producers commentary, you can view them here:
Bethenny was asked by a viewer about her relationship with her in-laws, a subject that was a major focus for the first two episodes of her show. I think she answered it the best way she could without giving anything away. It sounds like they’ve come a long way since those scenes were filmed and have worked out a plan that everyone can live with. Bethenny simply said, “we’ve graduated from that a bit”.
Bethenny explained that it is difficult to go from zero to sixty in the family department and while this is the family that she’s always wanted, they also have to understand that it is a whole new world for her and it takes time to adjust. Jason’s parents watched Monday’s episode with Bethenny and Jason and I’m sure it was uncomfortable at times but I think it’s great that they’re open and honest and discuss everything freely rather than keeping it bottled up.
A viewer asked Bethenny if she and Jason discussed the “moving to California” comment that Jason made at dinner with his parents. Her response was perfect! We don’t relive that stuff, we just move on. I’m sure Jason knows it wasn’t the best comment to make so why beat him up over it, particularly when Bethenny’s made plenty of her own.
Of course Andy had to ask Bethenny about Jill Zarin and her comments that their friendship wasn’t real, it was just a TV friendship. I love Bethenny’s first reaction, she took her Mardi Gras beads and hung herself with them. “Beating a dead friendship” was a good description as clearly Bethenny was finished talking about Jill Zarin. It seemed as though Bethenny found it easiest to just agree with Jill, “yes, it was a TV friendship”. Moving on…
Andy showed a preview clip of The Real Housewives of New York featuring Ramona Singer interviewing assistants for her company. The always inappropriate Ramona talked about their attire and their skin rather than focusing on their ability to do the job she was trying to fill. It was rather funny and Bethenny’s only remark, “yes, she’s renewed!” Cohen laughed.
Next question for Bethenny was who does she miss the most and the least from the cast of The Real Housewives of New York. She chose Ramona after viewing that clip as the most missed and no surprise that she missed Kelly Bensimon the least, calling her “scary”.
Andy and Bethenny talked a bit about NeNe being on Donald Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice. Bethenny’s advice to NeNe is to “go for it” and “focus”. Telling her not to get sidetracked but just keep shooting for her goals.
*** Spoiler Alert *** Celebrity Apprentice
The news coming out of The Apprentice is that NeNe quits rather than waiting to get fired. I haven’t seen every episode of this show in the past but I think I recall this happening once before. Quitting is typically not an option and really paints the contestant as a coward. Usually someone who quits knows that they’re about to be fired and feels as though quitting would be less humiliating. We’ll have to wait and see what happens with NeNe and the Trumpster.
Bethenny was asked if she felt that she was too hard on the people of Jason’s hometown of Hazelton, Pennsylvania. While she admitted she was a bit rough, she also acknowledged that she said what she thought and felt at the time. Bethenny added that if her show was full of all sweetness and light, the show would be pretty boring. I have to agree with her.
Bethenny acknowledged that she’s getting good and bad feedback from the show but she understands that certain things will be taken differently by different people. What some find offensive, others find funny but she is just telling it like it is, from her perspective.
Bethenny asked if she dyed her hair, she admitted she gets the gray hair dyed but that she is wearing her natural hair color. Next question, who is the “bigger bitch” Martha Stewart or Johnny Wier. Johnny wins hands down! Asked what percentage she would say she compromises with Jason, Bethenny said 32%.
Andy Cohen’s Mazel this week was awarded to the world’s youngest Grandmother. A young lady who gave birth at 12 years old to a baby girl, that baby girl gave birth at 11 years old making her a 23 year old Grandmother.
The Jackhole this week, a dog named Cosmo who ate his masters toes while he slept. The dog’s owner apparently had Diabetes and his toes were deteriorating fast so the dog was doing him a favor? Where does Cohen find these stories? Moving on…
The Poll results were predictable 62% felt it would be a bad idea for Jason to work with Bethenny. While it wasn’t the landslide Bethenny thought it would be and I doubt it will affect Bethenny and Jason’s working relationship, Andy felt the need to get public opinion. There you have it, Watch What Happens Live for Tuesday night. Next Tuesday Andy welcomes Kathy Griffin, another funny lady who doesn’t hold back, and is a Housewives fan!
Tonight on Bravo, Top Chef All Stars! Lets hope they actually eliminate someone this week. I personally think that the most talented chef’s are already gone, but I am hoping that Carla and Richard end up in the final two. Carla is somewhat inconsistent and Richard has gotten pretty arrogant this season but this is what we’re left with.
If you haven’t seen it yet, the new preview for The Real Housewives of New York is pretty good!
I think I know already based on these previews that I’m not going to like Luann again this season! If you keep watching the next video on the Bravo site is the newest NY housewife Cindy Barshop taking us on a tour of her home and meeting her twin baby’s. Take a look.

All ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Cast Are Back for Season 2
It seems after Camille and Kim both confirmed they would not be returning for another season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, they’ve both been convinced to do it, I’ll bet it wasn’t Kyle who convinced either one of them. She would probably prefer if they both left the show.

More legal troubles for the Giudice’s, apparently the brilliant Joe Giudice wasn’t the first to coin the term “Happy Wife, Happy Life” and putting it on a t-shirt and marketing it wasn’t the best idea. Poor Teresa!
Finally, this is a pretty funny link posted by a few people on yesterday’s blog, in case you missed it, Michaele Salahi is at it again, anything to get on TV:
