I Hate Jill Zarin What Is Jill Zarin Up To? March 11, 2011

I Hate Jill Zarin What is Jill Zarin Up To Now?

The New York City Housewives have got some time on their hands.  You know what they say about idle hands and getting into trouble.  Their show was scheduled to be airing right now so they most likely planned their lives around that.  We know that they had some premier party plans to cancel but interviews and television appearances sometimes will go on as planned regardless of Bravo’s stupidity.

The ladies can’t talk about the show, they can’t discuss what has aired since nothing has aired so what is there to talk about?  The weather?  Fashion?  Medical issues?  Not Jill Zarin!  Jill is determined to link herself to Bethenny Frankel forever it seems.

Jill doesn’t talk about her current cast mates, her husband or her daughter.  Jill’s favorite topic of discussion is Bethenny Frankel.
Jill recently spoke to Rob Shuter of Popeater, here’s what she had to say:

“The truth is, I don’t even remember being friends with her anymore, you know, when I see her picture and when I see her on TV, I don’t even remember our relationship. Which kinda says something.”

Really Jill?  We know you have a bad memory but we also know you have every episode saved on your Tivo and watch Season’s one and two on a regular basis.  You remember those episodes?  The ones where people actually liked you.  That should refresh your memory of your friendship with Bethenny.

Bethenny was there for you when that damn husband of yours got you that brand new crappy car that wouldn’t even support your I-phone.  She was there too when you slammed Simon VanKempen in the New York Post, calling him a drunk, remember?  Bethenny was right beside you too when you tried to get Alex booted off the show.

Bethenny was the one you laid in bed with talking about your future and hers.  Bethenny’s hopes and dreams of having a thriving business, a loving husband and a child.  She talked about all of the things that she now has but you weren’t part of all that because you’d rather scheme and plot against people than celebrate their accomplishments.

Rather than sending Bethenny a Congratulations card, you sent her a one-star horrible review on Amazon.com, no sweet email when her baby girl was born, rather you sent a tweet hours before the baby was born announcing that she had a baby boy.  Instead of celebrating Bethenny’s new show, you tried to get cast mates to refuse to film with her. Rather than supporting Bethenny’s accomplishments, you made a list of her crimes against Jill Zarin.  What is wrong with you Jill Zarin?

Now you’re doing the talk show circuit and you’re pushing that horrible book on everyone again!  Your sister sounds ridiculous telling people that the book has been translated into several different languages yet it hasn’t hit the New York Times Bestseller list, and your sister wrote a whole additional chapter, why?  Your family has suddenly become experts on “Bullying”.  Were you a bully as a child?  Were you bullied?  You’re certainly a bully now, we saw you bully Bethenny, Alex and Ramona last season.

On March 9, Jill Zarin Tweeted the link to the new trailer for The Real Housewives of New York no less than six times, she tweeted it to Cindy, to Sonja, to Kelly, to Ramona and to  Alex and just in case anyone missed those five tweets, she tweeted it two more times just to her followers in general.  She absolutely had to be the first to show her cast mates the latest Bravo release.  I’m honestly surprised she didn’t tweet it to her old fake friend Bethenny!

It is clear to anyone paying attention that Bethenny has moved on from all of this Jill nonsense, why can’t Jill move on?  She was most relevant when she was bullying Bethenny, people talked about her most when she was behaving badly, is she trying to bring all of that back to the forefront?  Jill has “real” friends in Kelly and Luann, right?

In the newest preview for The Real Housewives of New York we see Jill saying, “I can change, I have changed”.  Which is it?  Can you change or have you changed?  I can’t wait to see the change in Jill Zarin!

Ramona may need more armpit botox yuk!

Similar to Ramona’s renewal, I don’t expect Jill to change and become someone that she’s not.  The change that I’d like to see in Jill is pretty simple, stop being so vicious to people.  Show some empathy and sympathy for people.  Take a deep breath before you speak, count to ten and think before you open your mouth.  The constant biting, vicious words have to stop but more importantly Jill needs to stop trying to ruin lives, ruin careers and stop trying to go after people’s livelihood!  If Jill would simply put herself into other people’s position for just a moment, she wouldn’t be so mean and so cruel to people.

If Jill would treat everyone as if they’re someone she cares about, even if someone hurts her, talk it out.  Don’t plan and scheme and plot against that person.  Just be nice Jill Zarin!  Can you do that?

I don’t expect Jill to become a doormat and let people rip her apart, certainly defend yourself, certainly avoid people who are negative in your life but attacking everyone and hitting below the belt makes you look petty and small not to mention vicious and mean.

Bethenny recently appeared on Watch What Happens Live where she was inevitably asked about all of Jill’s recent comments about their friendship, absolutely flabbergasted as the rest of us are, Bethenny clearly didn’t want to talk about it.  Jill’s digs at Bethenny stating that Bethenny will ask interviewers in advance not to bring up Jill Zarin are probably true.  Jill is too blind to see that Bethenny’s refusal to talk about Jill is more to Jill’s benefit as Bethenny could easily get a lot of mileage out of making fun of Jill.  Jill keeps bringing it up as a slam at Bethenny but I believe that Bethenny is doing Jill a favor by trying to stay off the subject of their “Friendship”.  Would Jill prefer if Bethenny brought up all the horrible things that Jill did to her last year?  Does Jill want Bethenny to slam her the way Jill continues to slam Bethenny.  Because I’ll tell you one thing, Bethenny is way better at it than Jill is.  Bethenny could really rip Jill a new one but good and would be well within her rights to do so.  Yet Bethenny would rather avoid the subject which is the classy thing to do.

As Bethenny tours the country making personal appearances, Bethenny refuses to say anything bad about Jill Zarin, she flat out tells the audience not to ask her any questions or try to get her to slam Jill.  Her reason?  She insists that they were at one time friends and Bethenny refuses to say a bad word about a friend, present or past.  Yes, that is a class act and Jill could take a lesson from her ex-friend Bethenny!

This is a site announcing the return of the Real Housewives of New York, it includes a poll asking which NY Housewife you’ll be rooting for this season, I think the results speak for themselves:  (please vote for anyone but Jill Zarin!)

Now I don’t want anyone to panic, but Jill may just unfollow you on Twitter, she may find you uninteresting or disloyal so I suggest you all get on Twitter and entertain Jill Zarin and fast!  She tweeted this the other day:

@JillZarin:  Cleaning up Following list this week. if I don’t think interesting or your not a real friend..I am taking off list. Too hard to read 652!

They say you can judge people by the company that they keep, take another look at Jill’s very good friend Patti Stanger.  At the beginning of this video, Patti Stanger is talking to Jill Zarin on the phone, they’re talking about Bethenny and her new show:

This web site did an interview with Jill, her sister Lisa and her mother Gloria, you may have to search in the bottom right corner “Jill Zarin” to find the article and video’s but they’re worth watching.  The first video is priceless, especially if you watch Gloria’s face while Jill tells a story and Lisa interrupts the entire time….hysterical!  This family has some REALLY twisted thoughts about life.

Auntie Savvy (r) with Jill Zarin

If anyone has purchased and/or read the new chapter of Jill’s book on Bullying, I’d love to hear from you and get your take on it, I haven’t seen or heard anything about it yet.

Bravo has release two more previews of The Real Housewives of New York

It is a wonder she has any friends. Surely even her friends can see what she is.

    • VAgirl says:

It’s killing Jill that Bethenny won’t talk about their past friendship. If Bethenny would talk about it, then it would keep Jill in the spotlight and “relevant.” After all, what else has she got going for her? Keeping the people of Japan in my thoughts and prayers today.

  2. BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

Kelly looks like she’s about to jump out of her skin. I have always thought drugs could be part of her problem as well.
Jill ~same same same. She just gets more disgusting as well as some of her family.
    Sill love Bethenny 🙂
Have had weather channel on all morning~
So hard to watch. It seems everyday some new terrible disaster.
    Hope people get to safety.
    Peace Love Hugs

  3. vilzvet says:

Awesome blog, thanks Lynn. Watching Andy Cohen right now co-hosting Regis and Kelly. Waiting to see if he mentions NY at all…

  4. WindyCityWondering says:

Fame does not agree with Jill – it magnifies behavior that is loathesome, petty and cruel. IMO, there was no way Jill could truly change fans’ perspective because she would have to be genuinely happy for someone else’s good fortune with no strings attached. Toxic is as toxic does and Jill is one big hot mess of vile viciousness!

  5. Olivia says:

She is 50 yrs old. There is no reason to believe she will ever change. She is who she is: a loudmouth, insufferable, wholly absorbed moron who is incapable of behaving otherwise. She will never see herself as others do because she has created her image in her own mind and that image is all that counts.

Look at her. Posing like a 20 something every time a camera is present. She can’t get enough of her own image. It’s what drives her to every event where she can be photographed that spells “I am important” to the rest of the world. She clings to her fantasy since without “Housewives” she does not exist. She tweets nonstop to validate her existence. She leads a useless life outside of this show and it has become her anchor. Without it she have very little to offer.

There is nothing charitable about this woman and it shows every time she opens her mouth. There is nothing kind, compassionate, or forgiving about her behavior since she has shown time and again the lengths she is willing to go to achieve her perception of success. Her loyalty begins and ends with Jill Zarin as those who have gotten in her way have learned. Her behavior offscreen sums her up perfectly. No blow is too low if it summons the publicity she needs as the oxygen of her life.

Calling upon her to change her ways is a call out to the wilderness. She is perfectly satisfied with who she is. It is the rest of us who call her out that offends her since she feels that we are incapable of slobbering on the admiration she works so hard to achieve.

There is very little to admire in Jill Zarin and it is her offscreen antics that provide that summation. Asking or expecting her to change is a futile plea. Ain’t gonna happen!

    • skogsstig says:

As always, Olivia: beautifully reasoned and written! I’ll clap. 😉

    • cusi77 says:

      Amen, Olivia!

    • Nancy says:

My gosh you write well. You sum her up perfectly. Maybe you can answer this question for me.
Clearly all Jill wants is to be adorned by people. One would think this blog would help her in this area. But no. I wonder if their is any real mental illness going on with her. If yes then why didn’t we see before S3? Of course we saw bits of it but NOTHING like she is now.
I used to think her only quality was being a good mother. But now I’m not so sure. Clearly she didn’t have Allison’s best interest in heart when she married Bobby. Doesn’t she know that Allison is going to grow up thinking her mother’s behavior towards others is correct? It breaks my heart that she has changed her last name to Zarin. Too bad her real father could step in.

      • Powell says:

OMG!!!! You see it too. I was just thinking the same thing, maybe Jill needs therapy. Does anyone know why her marriage to Ally’s father ended? Was there some sort of abuse? Maybe after that relationship she is now trying to compensate. You know, “no one will ever treat me badly again. I’ll get them before they get me” attitude.

  6. viki55 says:

Jill is ahead in the poll on that amny web site. She must be directing all her minions there! Please go vote for anyone but Jill. I picked Ramona. Vote early and often (if it lets you)!!

    • LynnNChicago says:

      Alex is in the lead…

Alex McCord — The social climber (233)
LuAnn deLesseps — The snob (7)
Jill Zarin — The mean girl (90)
Ramona Singer — The feisty one (28)
Kelly Bensimon — The drama queen (8)
Sonja Morgan — The party girl (20)
Cindy Barshop — The new kid (53)
      Results not scientific

  7. BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

    I picked the new girl~Cindy~lol

  8. Olivia says:

Would I sound like a “mean girl” if I say that Gloria, Lisa, and Jill are three of the most obnoxious people ever? After watching that clip I would find it difficult to choose which one was the most unlikable. Could “Mommy” appear more condescending?

“I, I, me, me” is about all I was getting from that piece of crapola that just stole another 10 minutes out of my life that I will never get back.

    Hamlet’s trio of witches.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

You are not mean! lol They are truly difficult to take when all together.

    • LynnNChicago says:

      Not mean at all…honest!!!

      • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

        I could not watch video..
Have to wait to be much stronger~
        Great blog Lynn as usual~xxoo

    • twoile says:

      @ “O” ITA! Tweedle dumb tweedle dee & froggy yuck X’s 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Powell says:

I really don’t understand Gloria and Lisa. When we were introduced to Gloria in I don’t remember which season, she showed empathy and seemed very wise. The last season Lisa seemed to be a smart lady saying to Jill not to be surprised if Bethenny didn’t want to speak with Jill after what happened between the two. I think that Jill pushes her mom and sis into being in total agreement with her. I also think that they feel they owe Jill, because didn’t Gloria get a gig writing an advice column and now Lisa is more well known. Jill does have that attitude that if people don’t back her up then their not her friend so I guess it also applies to family.

  9. Olivia says:

Question: Did or did not Lisa say that she had to wait 11 years to have her first baby? If so, then how was she only 26 when he was born suggesting that by subtracting 11 from 26 she was supposedly trying to become pregnant from the age of 15!!!

She clearly says that she was 26 and Jill was 22 which is confusing me if she is claiming that 11 year try. Jill even mentions that Lisa was close to going to a fertility specialist when she finally got pregnant.

    Did I hear this incorrectly?

    • viki55 says:

I would love to listen so I could answer but I don’t think I could stomach hearing them so early in the morning. Gonna have to wait till after I have something to eat to avoid the dry heaves;)

      • Olivia says:

Not sure if I heard it correctly but if so then this is just another big fat lie. The sound on my computer is low but I swear I heard them mention that it took her 11 yrs. Which makes no sense!

This was mentioned so that Jill could claim ownership to the “greatest aunt” in the world meme. And it appears when they are talking about Aunt Cookie that Gloria may have some issues of her own with her sister as she rolls her eyes and gazes out the window in a sheer sign of boredom.

        • NormaJean says:

Olivia, she said it took 11 years to have her 2 children. I guess that means that it took a long time to have her 2nd child.

          • Olivia says:

Thanks. I knew I had heard the mention of 11 years somewhere in that mishmash. Your theory then makes sense.

            • NormaJean says:

Lol, I listened just to get an answer to your question. They were talking so fast and of course over top of each other, that it was hard to hear what she was saying.

              • Olivia says:

Hysterical to watch as Lisa and Jill were so intwined with one another on the couch, kissing, hugging, stroking one another as Mommy sat as far from them as possible but still within the camera frame, looking bored out of her gourd.

Which may explain much of Jill’s attitude since it appears that she has been striving most of her life for Mommy’s approval and falling short each time.

What we know about Jill can be traced right back to Mommy’s knee.

                • LavaLady says:

It was a little creepy watching Jill and Lisa hug, stroke, and clasp each other like that. A little overkill in my opinion. Why was Gloria there? She was very detached. Also, I think I heard or at least heard it implied that Gloria K. was NOT a good aunt?? She mentioned she never got thank yous because she never sent cards to her neices and nephews??

                • OneMoreInBoston says:

Olivia- COMPLETELY agree. Once I saw Jill’s mother and how she behaved to the rest of the family- I could see where some pf Jill’s BS behavior came from.

        • twoile says:

@ “O” I heard the same 11 yrs, needless 2 say the 3 of them shave off a few yrs……Glo w/her face lift etc.

  10. Sha2000 says:

Real Housewives of DC: The Salahi’s talk ‘bullying castmates’ tonight on 20/20:

So I guess accusing a cast mates daughter of a crime she didn’t commit publicly on camera doesn’t count for bullying?

    • Sha2000 says:

Oh & there’s a short part where they talk w/B.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

The biggest bully on that show is Tarq! Their combined behavior/lies created a reason to avoid them but bullying? Seriously, bullying?

  11. NormaJean says:

Ok, this cracks me up! Take a look at Ramona in the group picture. There’s a large visible sweat stain under her arm! I guess her procedure to fix that didn’t work very well, lol.

  12. klmh says:

Oh, these poor people in Japan! I am watching CNN and can not believe the devastation. The water and debris coming into fields. This is awful. We are supposed to fly into Kahalui, Maui tomorrow afternoon, but there has been a 7 ft wall to enter the city at least 3 times since this began. The airport is at about 0 altitude as well as the car rental agencies and Im sure they have been affected. Hope all are safe there…

    • HD says:

I cannot believe the devastation. It is always crazy to see the devastation that water can bring. I find it fascinating that something such as water is needed to sustain life on one hand and on the other far end of the spectrum can take life so easily.

It seems the world has just been devastated with so much horrible weather. Mother Nature is a force to be reckoned with. My daughter goes school with a girl from Tokyo. She said, “I am going to ask her if she heard about it.” I said, “don’t do that. Of course she has heard about it. She has family there. Ask her if her family is okay.” So funny how you can have connects, albeit small all across the world. Devastation like this touches everyone. I pray for the families.

Does anyone know if this has hit Hawaii?

      • Sha2000 says:

They estimate IF it arrives at 11et…that would be now. My friends mom was due to go back to Japan Monday, but her family is mainly in the south I believe. I’m hoping everyone is okay. I cannot imagine her suffering any more loss than she already has.; her daughter last week, her gentleman friend last year and her son a few years before that…too much for anyone let alone an older woman. I’m not Japanese but I’ve become friendly with my friends group of Japanese girls since our shared experience of visiting her daily in hospice & her passing…I’m worried for all their loved ones. I’m going to call soon and I hope there’s no bad news.

      • Powell says:

It’s incredible!!! It looks likes special affects for a movie. I pray the world never has a disaster like this again.

    • quincyil says:

I see google is warning people… That is so smart. A lot of people use that as their homepage. That is where I learned about this tragedy this morning.

      • HD says:

I just watched a video of the buildings swaying from the impact. Thank goodness they were designed this way. My goodness!

  13. OneMoreInBoston says:

Lynn- thank you SO much for including the devastation in Japan and the tsunami now (?) hitting Hawaii.

I am saying prayers for everyone, but I am particularly worried about our posters on the Western coastline: please check in with us when you can…very worried.

    • LavaLady says:

Yes, I am trying to think of our CA posters, there is CA35, mimisfbay, LynnSoCal. It’s hard to remember everyone’s name, but I know some people knew about the BH restaurants on the show, so there are more. Stay safe all our CA friends.

    • Brigid A. says:

Thank you all for your concern and prayers for those of us on the West Coast. I am in SoCal and trying to stay updated. Newport Beach (Orange County) is closed due to dangerous undercurrents and probably more beaches will be closed. Earlier I heard the same about Santa Monica but I’m not sure of the status now.

A dear friend of mine has extended family in Japan and we’re praying for their safety.

    • Rabble Rouser says:

Hi all, I don’t think we are in any real danger here.

I am actually in a beach city things seem to be normal other than the beach being closed. At my 3 (almost 4 years olds) preschool, it was wear pajamas to class and eat pancakes day, so I don’t think there was really a “high alert” or anything.

  14. quincyil says:

    I loved your blog, Lynn.

Sometimes, I wonder why I visit a blog concerned with a TV show. I think I was so shocked by the many behaviors of Jill Zarin that I thought it just couldn’t be true. When I read the short posts of her fans on facebook and see the adoration of many of them, I just can’t understand why they can’t see what I see in Jill Zarin.

I agree with Olivia, Jill Zarin is almost 50 and there is no hope that she can become a better person.

I have an online friend who met a lady that went to Jill’s Chicago event with Lisa. Jill did say a number of negative things about Bethenny during that event and afterwards. Why is ok for Jill do say these things times one million? Bethenny addressed the issues in their friendship with Jill. Jill said she was sorry and now she slams Bethenny non stop.

When I read the opinions of people on this blog and read the reasons that they give for their beliefs, I feel like I am not alone in thinking badly of Jill Zarin.

    • Olivia says:

“When I read the short posts of her fans on facebook and see the adoration of many of them, I just can’t understand why they can’t see what I see in Jill Zarin.”

And the same can be applied to Teresa whose fans keep repeating “we love you!” even after the news of her excesses were exposed.

Some people are just in awe of “celebrity”. It defies logic.

      • quincyil says:

At the beginning of Sonja’s time on the reality show, I liked her. I liked the way she handled the nasty comments of Jill Zarin and that she was trying to be humorous. After seeing her in the clips at Bravotv.com, I don’t care for her anymore.

I think the men and sex thing is over done. Instead of a socialite, she reminds me of an old west floozy. When she is in the French custome and she leaves over showing her rear, I was in shock. It doesn’t look attractive.

Does anyone remember the Season One Reunion where the Countess and Jill Zarin sat on the stage looking down on Alex when Alex had nude photos placed on the net against her will? I do. Then we find out the Ramona’s best friend is a Playboy Bunny, the Countess has some ads during her short career as a print model that seem provocative, Kelly becomes a Playboy front cover despite the wishes of her younger daughter, and Bethenny (who was also silent that day) had a role in a movie with nudity.

I remember Jill Zarin saying that this was not the way they wanted the RHNYC to be portrayed on that couch in the Season One Reunion. Now, we the the top socialite Sonja Morgan saying she want a man to F her. Gutter snipes say these things on national TV, not socialites.

I have the thought of Jill Zarin modeling her girdles with lace for Bobby on Valentines Day thanks to Bobby and the Wall Street Journal. It is not a pretty thought either.

        • Olivia says:

Because she seemed to have supported Bethenny during last season’s debacle Sonja earned “points”. But that DUI and now her admission to what she wants in a man are cringe worthy. She has skated into Danielle Staub territory.

However, in all honesty, I had my own impressions of her when it was disclosed that her former husband was 30 yrs older at the time of the marriage. Kind of a lot like the recent Hugh Hefner engagement to a woman 40 yrs younger. Doesn’t pass the smell test when considering that he was a member of the wealth Morgan family which may account for the “love” that bound them together.

Also the fact that she has a 10 yr old child to consider when making these statements on national tv tells me more than I need to know about Sonja Morgan.

      • LynnNChicago says:

Facebook is controlled completely by the page owner, so if anyone posts anything negative about Jill, she will delete it immediately creating a sense that her page is full of love and devotion by fans.

Twitter, because these “celebrities” can’t control it, has a more accurate picture of how viewers really feel about the cast members.

        • quincyil says:

How are we supposed to make head or tails out of twitter? It seems like chaos to me.

          • DJ Fruit Loops says:

Twitter is so easy to use your onlly allowed so many letters so each post is small and simple

      • Rabble Rouser says:

I want to add Kate Gosselin to that list.

    • PJ says:

But don’t you ever wonder just who her fans are? I wouldn’t put it past Jill to pay people to leave nice remarks for her.

  15. Mimisfbay says:

Watching the news and talking to my granddaughter in Santa Cruz. She is at UCSC and very scared. The university is on high ground but they are evacuating coast and low lands. I called a friend who lives in the city on 46th Avenue she is getting dressed to head out of the city. Mayor Lee in SF was just saying that the city is prepared for unexpected activity because undersea earthquakes are unpredictable. We live with anxiety out here because we grow up with earthquakes.

Crescent City is north of SF and they usually get the big waves. They are trying to close off access to the beach in Pacifica in SF area. They are watching the area around Half Moon Bay. We do have very high waves there in the winter. The Mavericks surf competition is held in that area because the waves are huge.

Okay, one observation from TV is that it sure looks like the ocean pull back is dramatic but that is what happens prior to a tsunami. The waves in this part of CA is supposed to be 3 feet…

Golden Gate Bridge hasn’t been closed so they must not be threatening. Believe me they would have closed the bridge.
    Thanks for your thoughts Boston!

    • Sha2000 says:

Hi Mimi, glad you are safe & I’m keeping your granddaughter in my thoughts, I’m sure she will be okay. I have a good friend from childhood in Walnut Creek, I know thats further in land but are they predicting EQ’s there too??

      • Sha2000 says:

        From NPR on FB:

“If you’re on Twitter, NPR’s @acarvin is live-curating tweets related to the quake and tsunami. Please keep sharing your eyewitness reports, too, including links to photos and video you’ve taken. Thanks!”

        Good info for updates

      • Mimisfbay says:

No earthquakes here just the one on the Japan fault 8.9. The undersea fault is where the largest quakes happened. Walnut Creek is inland no problem there.

We are worried about the tsunami waves from Japan here in the bay area. We have currents from Japan but the tsunami actually hit Hawaii and is heading here. The waves are 2 – 7 Feet. Vewy Scawy.

Thanks for thinking of us. I see that Half Moon Bay and Pacifica have voluntary evacuations. Lots of people in pajamas with coats over them at shelters. They are expecting surges and high waves in both of those areas. No surfers out today…big sign. Keep in mind that we have waves over 15 feet during the Mavericks. These aren’t like normal waves but they just reported 7 foot waves off Crescent City.

      thanks for checking in-
I lived in San Franciso as a child- it was my understanding that CA is on different “plates” than Japan- but that the Pacific NorthWest- ie:Oregon is on the same plates as japan, so they are more vulnerable (?) I’m no expert though…

    • Crisanna says:

What struck me is that she had on a “Team Jill” shirt. She just knew everyone was going to be on her side in that argument. She really had no clue how ridiculous she would look wearing that shirt. I don’t remember Bethenny having “Team Bethenny” shirts made or wearing them. I could be wrong.

      • HD says:

That shirt is from her fight with Ramona.

        • Crisanna says:

OK, thanks. I didn’t remember that. She still looks ridiculous, IMO. She’s a grown woman wearing a shirt like that. Did Ramona have one too?

          • HD says:

I cannot remember. I want to say she did at the reunion (I can’t remember) but this all came about from the tennis match and Jill busted out this shit on the reunion. This is when Jill and B were still friends. So it has nothing to do with her at the time. Now, if she is wearing it, I am sure people can assume what she means.

Good Morning. Havn’t had a chance to read this blog yet as I’m glued to CNN watching Japan earthquake and tsunami newsfootage. I went to Japan in 2007 for 2 weeks and it was the most beautiful and lovely country. I spent my time in Narita, Tokyo, Kyoto and Fukuoka. Didn’t make it to northern Japan where today’s trajedy takes place. My heart just breaks for them right now.

Before I knew of this, I posted my new recap of Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior. If you want a distraction from the bad news, please come over here to read my blog. Now I’ll go back up thread to read Lynn’s always fabulous blog to find out what kinds of shenannigans Jill has been up to.

    • OneMoreInBoston says:

      now they say 1000+ dead

      • @tweatcyn says:

I’m sure it will be even higher. Fortunately, no losses here in California, except for one stupid photographer near Oregon border who went on the beach to take pictures of the waves. Darwin’s Law strikes again.

  20. Mimisfbay says:

Boston they just did a report on the plates and the Pacific Plate has Hawaii, CA and OR. They were talking about HI, NorCal and OR so; unfortunately, we are on the same plate.

Santa Cruz got hit by surge large enough to lift boats off moorings. Not sure about people but looks like everything is ok. They are saying they won’t know for hours. There you have it.

  21. Miss Katherine says:

Clearly Jill has not changed. I’m sure Bethenny’s refusal to speak of Jill is to protect her own image (rather than seem bitter, though how could she be? she has the baby, husband, and career she always wanted….) rather than Jill’s.

I’m more worried about Sonja. She was so likable last season, but her sex talk is excessive! She has a daughter I believe! To speak publicly and proudly of having casual sex not only makes her Sonja look bad, but it could really hurt her daughter.
From the clips I’ve seen, her screaming at Alex seemed VERY Jill.

I’m a bit worried about Luann too. I know I’m in the minority, but I’ve actually generally liked her pretty well. (But I used to like Jill too so….)

Kelly’s insane and so I’m not even going to remark on her.

I’m really looking forward to see Alex and Ramona. I really love those too. Cindy doesn’t seem too bad, but time will tell.

    • error404 says:

I heard that in one of the clips Sonja tells Cindy that there is a pecking order to the RHoNY cast. Ewwww! That alone may have turned me off La Morgan. I hope she meant something like “in Jill’s eyes” and not something she herself believes.

  22. error404 says:

Jill is a walking talking train wreck. The way she keeps alternating between begging B to take her back and then angrily claiming she better off without her when B refuses is worse than the most damaged of celebrity divorces. Jill’s an emotional hot mess.

Totally off topic, but just want to share. After reading all about Lynn’s wonderful adventures in NYC, and the warm welcome she received from all the DC housewives, specifically Cat, I sent her a tweet. I was not her biggest fan while the season was airing, and seeing her in recent photos, she has a light and sparkle in her eye that I didn’t see before. Now that we know what she was going thru in her life, I understand her more. I basically sent that same message to her over twitter….To my delight, I had a DM in my “inbox” (hee hee) this morning from her. I could actually hear her lovely accent in my head as I read it….Anyhoo, I am floored that she took the time to message me in response to my tweet. But, it shouldn’t surprise me, because obviously her fans are important to her. Just ordered her book! I’ve read all of the HW’s books, but other than Little Kids Big City, I checked them out of the library. I want this lady to make some $$$!
I also let her know that Lynn was part of the reason my opinion had changed about her….
Anyhoo, I generally consider myself a “viewer”, but Ms Cat has made me a “fan”.
    Say it with me….”BOLLOCKS!”

Also, I haven't read any posts, but I hope everyone's loved ones are safe and sound. My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Japan.

  24. Amber...RealWife says:

Like Lynn says, Jill needs to hitch on to Bethenny in order to remain relevant. She’s angry B refuses to speak of her, feeling it denies her publicity. Bad or good, at this point any talk of Jill by Bethenny would make headlines and bring Jillzilla back into the limelight. Her sister and Mother are also annoying. The sister probably received more attention as the studious one, while Jill was constantly searching for her Mother’s approval. Mother being happy is something she’s managed to torture her daughters/family with, as she seems to be a tyrant who would make life miserable if she were unhappy. She did give B some good advice, even if it was espoused by millions before, across all nationalities and ages. Let it go. Be happy. Get Cash! LOL

BTW does anyone know of the movie “The Girl Most Likely To” with StockardChanning? It is somewhat like JillZarin’s story and that’s why I think of Jill as MiriamKnight, who was a plain jane that was constantly tortured and harassed by her classmates. She has a car accident and gets reconstructive surgery. She then extracts revenge on her unknowing classmates. It’s a dark comedy/drama and a cult classic as it was a made for tv movie in the 70’s and was released on dvd a few years ago. It’s a must see and it is JillZ!

  26. Mimisfbay says:

Hey Shaa boats are capsizing in Santa Cruz and lifting off the moorings. Nothing like poor Japan but the current underwater is moving at something like 500 mph. It is really scary that we are seeing this so far from Japan.

    • Sha2000 says:

We just lost our friend last week & I would hate to learn that they would suffer any more heartbreak.

      Glad you are okay.

  27. Adgirl says:

Wow. News of the earthquake and tsunami are just awful. Terribly sad and frightening.
That was a huge earyhquake. Every number is 10x the last, so 5.0 is ten x a 4.0. The “ring of fire” around the Pacific Ocean has generated gigantic quakes lately. Chile’s was huge too, a 8.8.

I feel awful for the people of Japan. It seems that every few years they have a natural disaster to recover from no matter how prepared they are. Very sad.

  28. Adgirl says:

I’m sorry to say that I believe there will be tens of thousands of deaths in Japan. Unbelivable the scope of this disaster.
Some of the photos look like Hollywood disaster movie scale. There will be aftershocks for days and weeks too.

  29. WindyCityWondering says:

It sounds like the tsunami activity on the west coast will be ongoing over the next 12 hours with some inland warnings (northern California – Marin County/Napa Valley) due to the ground already being saturated from the rains – everyone stay safe and check in when you can!

    • Adgirl says:

I think the news people are “awfulizing” the possible effects to CA. It hasn’t rained that much this year. Most of north CA is quite hilly on the fringe by the ocean and inside the Bay Area so there won’t be gushes of water flooding our state.
Hawaii is really quite southerly. Southern Cal is actually tucked under towards the east from San Francisco.

I feel perfectly safe even if a few boats get smashed in a marina.

      • OneMoreInBoston says:

good- I was a little worried about you.

      • Mimisfbay says:

Ya may want to see what is happening in Santa Cruz Adgirl. No joke, the water is surging and although it isn’t wiping out an entire city it is ripping through the harbors. One dock has been wiped out. Rain is not what causes a tsunami, earthquakes are what cause them. 700 square miles of ocean lifted up and we are getting some of the tsunami waves here. Santa Cruz is getting hit right now. SCruz is getting the worst of it. People missing and killed in Crescent City.

        • Adgirl says:

I’ve seen on tv the waves surging through the harbors, haven’t heard of anyone verified missing. That would be scary!
There are bunches of people standing on bridge over SC harbor watching every surge coming in and wrecking boats. Ridiculous.

After watching Jill/Lisa/Gloria video – Jill really wants to be mommy’s favorite, Lisa likes rubbing Jill’s nose in the fact that she is mommy’s favorite. But if you look at Gloria you can see that she doesn’t particularly like either of her daughters!

    • error404 says:

I can’t. I can’t. I just can’t. I tried. I did. I got thru like a minute of the first video and by the time they got around to “Aunt Cookie” I’d had had enough. I just couldn’t. No.

Anyway, sorry. I wanted to see what made it seem like Gloria didn’t like her girls, but I just couldn’t stomach it. I wanted to see because the opposite always seemed true to me regarding Jewish parents. All the ones I know just seem so OTT in their gushing, always acting like their kids are the best kids ever, always rhapsodizing about these plain average people like they were all geniuses bound for greatness. I know it’s just cultural differences, but I sometimes works my nerves. They’re like the polar opposites of “Chinese Mothers”. Both love their kids, but just show it differently.

      • Mimisfbay says:

Me too! I tried to watch and they were all talking over each other and Gloria? Such distain for her daughters. Can you stand it? Like you, I was repulsed and turned it off. They are not like people I know.

        • Nancy says:

Why in God’s name do they think video’s like this will IMPROVE their book sell’s? Am I missing something?
          “Mother’s not happy!”

      • WindyCityWondering says:

Well it wasn’t easy to watch! Now I sort of see how Jill gets that if it is not about me then I am not interested attitude. I bet they want Gloria to be all gushy over them and they go into these interviews wanting to show how much they clearly love and adore each other and have a Mother of the Year kind of mother but Gloria doesn’t play along.

  31. kbinldo says:

Jill knows that the only reason anyone is interested in her is Bethenny, so she keeps coming up with ways to include any mention of B in whatever she does. If she didn’t, no one would pay any attention to her at all.

  32. Chattycat says:

I don’t know about anyone else, but I was a little surprised that LuAnn’s numbers were lower than Kelly’s. I fully expected Kelly to be the smallest, but I guess that says even more about LuAnn if she is coming in under the crazy Kelly.

On another note, Lynn. I just watched the video you had linked to your post with Patti Stanger and Kim. I have seen it before, but each time I see it, it reminds me how much I hate both of them. I think it would be a great idea to do the same with The Millionaire Matchmaker when it comes back as we are doing with the Miami Housewives…ban it…not watch it. I did not watch it last season after I had watched the video of her trashing Bethenny, and I was kind of disappointed that you had someone recapping it. How about next season we don’t watch, don’t talk about, don’t recap it….just ignore it totally. Maybe Bravo will see the errors of their ways and put Patti and her show where they belong….in the big bins in the back of the building called the TRASH. Trash should go where trash belongs!!

    • Adgirl says:

I have to agree. Unless a HW is on Strangler I wouldn’t mind if we skipped the recap or discussion.

    • Powell says:

Oh you can already count me in on no watching Matchmaker. I didn’t watch this past season because she made such a big deal out of having a I believe “90% success rate” and then her engagement to Andy exploded!!!! Their engagement broke up because she wanted kids and he didn’t? They were together for 9 years. Wasn’t she suppose to know this?, and isn’t this one of the tips she gives to her millionaires? If her own relationship failed because she didn’t take her own advice, how can she take those millionaires money?

  33. Adgirl says:

Calif. man swept out to sea taking tsunami pics

This bothers me. Someone taking photos places himself at risk and now the Coast Guard has to look for him. I’m sure the man didn’t mean for this to happen, but it still bothers me. I hope he is OK.

    • klmh says:

He’s not the only one Im sure. Warnings along the coastlines warned people, but you saw them walking, jogging and waiting. You just can’t fix stupid.

    • Mimisfbay says:

When I was a kid, a loooooong time ago there was a tidal wave (tsunami) alert and a traffic jam with gawkers on the Great Highway! I am sure that is why they closed it today. What can you do? It’s like the people tying themselves to palm trees in Florida during hurricanes. Orrrr putting numbers on their backs to jump off the GGBridge.

  34. Terry says:

I’m not here to defend Jill Zarin, but to offer a hypothesis.

Perhaps Jill is speaking the truth when she says she doesn’t remember being close to Bethenny. Jill is a narcissist, and people like her have a very shallow emotional range. This is why they seemingly get close to people very quickly and then discard them without a thought or compunction very quickly. In Jill’s mind, no one, including Bethenny, has made an emotional imprint, since Jill is incapable of having one.

Narcissists’ brains are organized differently from others’. The seat of empathy functions poorly (if at all), as demonstrated by brain scan studies.

Jill is intelligent though, and I’m not saying that she’s forgotten hanging out with Bethenny; I’m positing that she’s forgotten any of the shallow emotions of friendship, tenderness and so on that we would expect her to have (and cherish).

    • quincyil says:

That was fascinating. When I was young, I had a “friendship” like that. It was very difficult as the “friend” was constantly jabbing me at the times that normal people would feel joy for you like the birth of a healthy child.

I have watched this former “friend” run through many relationships. I always wondered what was going on there.

You have made me think. Thank you.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

When Bobby said to Jill don’t throw Bethenny away – that lends itself to your theory. Easing out of a friendship is much different than “cutting it out like Cancer” because in the former you are aware of the other person’s feelings.

      • quincyil says:

It’s also normal for friendships to ebb and flow as your lives change. When Bethenny went on the road and had to give time to the new relationship with Jason Hoppy, a good friend would have understood and waited in hope that the friendship would adapt to the changes taking place.

    • Adgirl says:

      @ Terry.
I’ve always thought Jill’s behavior was akin to a possessive boyfriend who gets dumped. There is no “love” lost and mourned, just Jill’s anger at being rejected by her possession. At first Jill tried to cajole and then beg for Bethenny to return. When that didn’t work Jill brought out the artillery to “kill” her escaped prisoner.

      • error404 says:

Yes! But your forgot the first step: be banished and beg to be let back in. If only B had begged one more day, then Jill would have forgiven her. But the ungrateful bitch decided she didn’t need Jill. The audacity!

Stockholm Syndrome relies on the prisoner believing they need the captor. Cat and mouse games of punishment and then generous forgiveness are the norm in abusive relationships.

        • error404 says:

the fight over liquor ads at the s2 finale was brutal, but by reunion time it was all tears and handholding on the couch. B was punished, and then forgiven. Blech. B is lucky she got out alive!

        • cusi77 says:

Error_ So true! If it was not for Jason in B’s life, she would never had been objective about how abusive relationship JZ gave to her.

      • Terry says:

That’s spot on. I wonder whether all narcissists are abusive in this push-and-pull manner.

Are narcissism and abusiveness linked or are they distinct traits that can be co-occurring?

      • Terry says:

Oy, Adgirl, that made me shiver. I think you’re on to something. I had not considered Jill’s attempts to assassinate Bethenny’s character and minimize her accomplishments. Jill really does seem to be on a vendetta; as you put it, to kill Bethenny.

If Jill were behaving solely out of narcissism, she would have forgotten all about Bethenny very quickly.

Or, could Jill’s reaction be explained by Bethenny’s popularity vis-a-vis Jill’s? Meaning, does Jill have to be the queen all the time or else crush anyone who outshines her?

    • OneMoreInBoston says:

wow- Terry- very interesting points…explains quite a bit doesn’t it?

      • Adgirl says:

I wonder if Jason had not appeared on the scene if Bethenny would have had the strength to walk away on her own.

        • Powell says:

Probably not since in my opinion she looked at Jill as sort of a mother figure. She needed a mother to be proud of her accomplisments, a mother to guide her, since she didn’t get that from her own mother.

    • PJ says:

If Jill is a narcissist, and it seems to fit her, then she was never really friends with Bethenny. I think Bethenny thought they were really friends, so on Bethenny’s part the friendship was real. But Jill only makes “friends” with people she feels superior to and once Bethenny became independent with a successful career the “friendship” was over. Jill can’t tolerate anyone who is supposed to be her “friend” being more successful that she is. When that happened and Jill was no longer top dog to Bethenny’s underdog, Jill couldn’t take it. Jill ended the friendship and now she wants to play the victim blaming Bethenny. But Bethenny tried to mend things, this is all on Jill.

      • Terry says:

Oy! I had a friendship like that. In retrospect, the woman seems more like a histrionic though.

It was very painful when I realized that her referring to me as her best friend didn’t mean that she was loyal or even respectful.

    • @tweatcyn says:

Ding Ding Ding! Another winner. You nailed it.

    • Powell says:

      Great points everyone!!!!

  35. tweatcyn says:

Look at Jill posing in the picture on the couch where she is pushing her hair up. She really feels beautiful. Who poses like that? I think models do, but Jill was never a model.

  38. quincyil says:

Lol…. wearing ivory to a wedding… Jill Zarin says.. Ramona and Alex were rude to the bride.

I should be careful with colors because years ago I said, “Red is out of style” and got kicked out of the Quincy society. I was googling the question, “Is it ok to wear ivory…?” Many people said to ask the bride because it is so close to white. Then I noticed another question, “Is it ok to wear black to a wedding?” LOL… Jill wore black with sparkles to Ramona’s renewal. It seems that some old timer think black if for funerals and they have issues with wearing black. Then, for fun I googled, “Is it ok to wear red to a wedding?” Ramona wore red to Bethenny’s wedding. Some people have issues with red because it represents passion.

Ramona is 2 for 2 here. LOL..

    • Rabble Rouser says:

I know I would never wear white or ivory to a wedding, especially a garden wedding where the brides gown might be a little simpler as opposed to a big ornate ball gown style.

    • @tweatcyn says:

The Chinese and Indians wear red (bride). White stands for death in their cultures.

    • Terry says:

Wow! That’s a lot of rules. Those Quincy people seem very tough.

I don’t care what people wear to anything usually, but I live in NYC where people have green hair and such.

The only thing I’d consider unseemly at a wedding would be something that shows too much skin.

      • quincyil says:

I have seen green and purple hair here too.

Mind you everything I am saying is with responsible adults that use protection) OUTSIDE OF THAT DO YOU!!! Sonja is old enough where she does not have to answer to anybody. Kids grow up and her child(ren?) will know that was my mom and how she would talk. I feel her. She wants a man that effs her well! I FEEL YOU!!! I do not come down on her for saying it. Too many women are STUCK in sexless or boring a$$ sexual relationships that do not fulfill them AT ALL and they just ride the boring wave so to speak. Us, as women, need to speak up for what we want in the bedroom. That is why Charlie Sheen can go on national TV with two women that you KNOW he is screwing and that is not the headline. Let a woman do that and she is a whore. Sonja better get hers and I do not object. Let the sexual liberation kick off right here, right now!

I don’t understand why Jill is this way. She has a great life. Here she goes again saying she wasn’t friends with someone. If Bethenny’s career hadn’t taken off the way it did including het getting her show and meeting Jason Jill would have still been apart of B’s life. If B would’ve been like what Ramona called struggling and alone B would’ve still been her “project”. Why can’t Jill just be happy for B? Jill’s constant need to speak negatively of B in the media truly only highlights her need to “keep score”.

and… this is why we gather here at this website. We can’t understand why Jill Zarin behaves in the way she behaves either.

Jill is probably never happy. She can receive 350,000 dollars in jewelry and still be sad that Bobby didn’t add on the ring in the window. Jill Zarin can have a great apartment, but she a better one.

Jill Zarin saw that the person she claims to have invited on her reality show, Bethenny, become more successful and more popular than Jill Zarin and she wanted more than a line in a book thanking her. She wanted a piece of that pie. If someone invited Bethenny on the Today Show, Jill Zarin would call the Today Show and ask why she wasn’t invited to be on that show with Bethenny.

It’s a race. Bethenny pulled ahead. Jill tried to tether Bethenny to Jill Zarin and Benthenny left a message for Jill on Jill’s phone. The message was, “You really need to get another hobby, Jill.” Then Bethenny went on to explain her statement, but Jill did not play that for her psychic, her “friends,” or America.
Bethenny told us that in the reunion of season three and in articles as the show finished the season.

Jill Zarin says that we don’t know who she is. I beg to differ. I know Jill Zarn bettter than people that I have worked with for years because Jill Zarin shares her thoughts in the show, in blogs, in twitter, in articles leaked to the press, and in interviews.

I actually know Jill Zarin better than I did my husband when I married him as both my husband and I were on our best behaviors during that courtship. rotfl…

You have stated it quite eloquently!!!!

IMO Jill has a valid point when she says we don’t know her. We see and hear a percentage of what makes her the person she truly is – we see untoward behavior, pettiness, jealousy and her brand of relationships. Maybe we have only seen the surface and beneath that is much worse!

        • Powell says:

OMG!!! Much worse than we’ve already seen? I hope not. How could anyone stand to be in her presence if she’s much worse???

        • Sha2000 says:

As I’ve said many times I don’t follow JZ at all…no offense to anyone but, when I see posts on her I usually scroll by & don’t read it at all (maybe that’s why I don’t get why people are so fired-up over her). All that said, I did read that she’s claiming there was no friendship w/Bethenney; okay then why is she wearing a “team Jill ” shirt in that pic? Lol! I’m surprised her Jewish mother’s wisdom didn’t teach her that denial rarely works for anything, especially in the age of video tape:

          • vilzvet says:

Oh stop being a buttkisser ET! What a joke that clip was, LOL! Did Jill really think she was going to be invited to that wedding?!

          • Nancy says:

The “Team Jill” T-shirt has nothing to do with Bethenny. It was born out of the tennis match she had with Romana during season 1 (or 2). Our lovely Jill was trying to humiliate Romona but it didn’t work. She only made herself look like the fool. We’ve seen that movie before Jill.)

    • Terry says:

Jill seems to have narcissistic personality disorder. Those afflicted have little capacity for empathy (the seat of empathy in the brain is somehow impaired), need constant validation from others, believe they are special and better than others, have a sense of entitlement, have shallow emotions, and a bunch of other symptoms. Therapy is helpful only to an extent, as it doesn’t seem to be possible to grow empathy, among other limitations.

In short, Jill’s personality is deformed. The cause could be childhood abuse or neglect, or not.

      Jill will not change.

I totally agree with all the truthful comments everyone has made about Jill Zarin . I still can’t believe that she went from being my favorite housewife in the first season to the most hated housewife in the last. Bethanny rocks and so does Alex. Ramona is OK in my book too. The rest of them are publicity mongers that are like sharks that feed off the media with Jill as their captain. Your right the woman is too old to change and never will . She deserves everything she gets in life. She will never know the meaning of a true friend . So she better hold on to Bobby cause he is the only one that seems to want to put up with her vile behavior. She is so pathetic that I actually change the station when her nasty face comes on the tube. bravo better watch out, they may start to lose viewers- she is just another Danielle in sheeps clothing.

  47. Terry says:

I can see — very clearly– that many, many people dislike Jill Zarin. While I’m not a fan of hers, I don’t think she even approaches Alex McCord in the vile department.

I’ve never, ever seen Alex McCord do anything out of friendship or regard of others. When she stood up to Jill on Bethenny’s behalf, she did so in a very calculated move to get on Bethenny’s good side. Alex does everything she can to get invited to parties and social events without contributing anything. She acts like she’s wonderful. She is not wonderful: she is unimaginative, calculating, a user, has bad taste, named her kids pretentiously, lived in a dump but vacationed in St. Barths and the Hamptons, and so on. I hate her. I truly detest that woman. She has no redeeming value whatever.
