I Hate Jill Zarin Bethenny Ever After

I Hate Jill Zarin            Bethenny Ever After

Tonight’s episode revolved around Bethenny’s 40th Birthday party and opens with her meeting with Shawn the party planner to hear his ideas and taste some food for her party.

Shawn’s wacky ideas are all denied by Bethenny, they were  a bit out there.  Surely Shawn knew it was not Bethenny’s style.

Jason’s parents came into town to spend time with their granddaughter and to attend Bethenny’s birthday party.  While the party was no surprise, the people who love her are trying to create small surprises for her in secret.  Jason and Julie call Bethenny’s best friend in Florida and fly her in to come to the party to surprise Bethenny.
Jason’s parents get Gina in a bit of trouble when they tell Bethenny that they’re taking Bryn for a walk but Baby Nurse Gina arrives back home with the baby just 10-minutes later.  Bethenny is clearly annoyed yet they briefly abandoned their granddaughter to prepare a surprise for Bethenny.  Jason had purchased a dress form that Bethenny liked and Jason’s father restored it as a surprise for Bethenny.
Throughout all of this fun Birthday planning Bethenny found time to devote to her skating routine for Skating With The Stars.  Along with her partner Ethan, they choreographed their routine and then lunch to talk about a few of the other contestants on the show.

Bethenny mentioned that she didn’t know who Vince Neil is, but I’m sure he could say the same thing about Bethenny.  She called Rebecca Budig “that soap girl” and noted that she was aspiring to be a professional figure skater in her past.  The two talked a bit about Sean Young and Jonny Moseley who they met in Los Angeles during a promotional photo shoot for the show.

Preparing for her 40th Birthday party was almost as traumatic as the party itself for Bethenny as she tried on several dresses but was unhappy with each choice.  Bethenny found comfort hugging her dog Cookie for a few minutes in the back of her closet.  She looked so vulnerable at that moment.

I thought that the talk Bethenny had with her make up artist really helped viewers to understand what Bethenny was going through.  I completely understood, sometimes you just want to forget that it is your birthday, there is either a build up to it and that inevitable let down or it is completely forgotten making you feel even more depressed about the whole thing.  I completely relate and never look forward to birthday’s.
Bethenny’s party was attended by Ramona and Alex along with their husbands.  Ramona seemed to want to help, she could see that Bethenny was stressing about her birthday and tried to offer advice, Ramona Style.  It didn’t really seem to relate to what Bethenny was going through but you have to give Ramona props for trying.  Loved Ramona’s mini Turtle-Time dance…cute!
During the party Jason began to make a speech, this is where it all went  downhill.  The dress form that Jason’s father had restored was presented to Bethenny but it was covered with a photo cut out of Bethenny’s face and a Skinnygirl apron so you couldn’t really see the dress form at all.  Jason explained that his father had lovingly restored it and Father in law got a big hug and a thank you from Bethenny.
Here’s where it got a bit strange, There was a brooch clipped to the apron that was apparently a gift from Jason’s parents, and there were diamond earrings in the apron pocket, a gift from Jason.  How would she know that if he hadn’t told her?  Already embarrassed Bethenny thought the presentation was over when Jason told her to look more closely at the pin on the apron and to look in the pocket.  More embarrassment.  Jason took complete blame, as he should but he meant well, oh and there was more.
Bethenny broke down crying and brought Jason into the bathroom in an attempt to apologize for her behavior, she felt that she let everyone down and had disappointed his family.  It was obvious that the crowd enjoying the party couldn’t hear Bethenny’s mini-breakdown in the bathroom as we see them all continue to mix and mingle but because Bethenny is miked we can only hear her and Jason.  It was over in minutes and the couple went back to their guests to enjoy the rest of the party.
The party seemed to be an overall success but as the Hoppy’s discussed it later back home, Jason realized that he wasn’t really listening to Bethenny when she tried to tell him about her birthday concerns, his heart was in the right place but this scene reminds us all that this couple are still newlyweds and don’t know everything about each other just yet.
Finally the best part of the show as this amazing family spent Bethenny’s birthday just the way that she wanted to, in bathing suits, sunglasses and soaking in a tub together.  It was really cute to see them all together like that, even Cookie was sporting a pair of shades and joined them in the tub.

And over in Twitter world:

Poor Simon, he took offense to what Bethenny said about him liking to get bombed.  I didn’t find it offensive, of course, I’m not Simon.

I think it was just Bethenny being Bethenny and saying exactly what is on her mind.  She was nervous about her birthday party and I think she felt that casting Simon as the fun guy who likes to get drunk and have fun wasn’t a bad thing but Simon took it negatively.  I personally think it is all an attempt to get more attention.

oh,so I like 2 get ‘bombed” do I, @Bethenny ?Those that live in glass houses ought never cast the first stone.Still I wish you a happy 40th!

@SimonVankempen:  Twas a cheap shot which let’s face it is her MO. While I admire her success it shouldn’t come at the expense of others. #LookInTheMirror

Yet just an hour earlier, Simon was excited for us all to see him on Bethenny’s show:

Who’s watching @Bethenny Ever After 40th? I think you’ll see @McCordAlex, @RamonaSinger, @BravoAndy, @JakeSpitzNYC & perhaps a glimpse of me

A viewer tried to talk Simon down from his opposition to Bethenny’s comment saying it was just Bethenny trying to be funny, Simon responded to that comment this way:

@SimonVankempen  W/@Bethenny there’s always an underlying message

@SimonVankempen:  She said it an interview not to my face, so I saw it 1st time tonight.

*Side Note:  Andy Cohen did confirm that he was at Bethenny’s birthday party, but obviously off screen.

I feel as though Simon is creating a big stink over nothing, if he claims that Bethenny’s “MO” is taking cheap shots, why was he at her party?  Why does he and Alex appear on Bethenny’s show every chance they get?  I have a feeling Simon’s days on Bethenny’s show are over.  You know  O-V-E-R.

Possibly it was over well before the show aired and Simon knew it so he is making Bethenny look like the bad guy.  I get the feeling that the friendship between Alex and Bethenny is also over.

We’ve had a few hints over the past few months that Simon has shifted his loyalty from one side to another.  I guess it is ok for Jill Zarin to tell the newspapers that Simon is a “falling down drunk” but if Bethenny says that Simon likes to get bombed at parties, she’s the bad guy.

It isn’t going to be easy for Simon to get fans to adjust to his new public stand against Bethenny.  This is another great example where it would have been better for Simon to remain silent.  Most fans would have taken Bethenny’s comment to mean that Simon likes to drink and have fun at parties.  There isn’t anything wrong with that, Jill’s quote “falling down drunk” was much worse.  Does Simon have a drinking problem?  I wouldn’t have thought so until he made such a big deal about Bethenny’s comment,  his drinking has come up more than once on Bravo, and he was clearly hammered at Bethenny’s wedding, but that is another blog altogether.  Have Alex and Simon made a complete turn to the dark side?

@BravoAndy: I was at @Bethenny 40th bday party and it was NUTS. Find out what happened at 10!

I hope you guys are watching! I’m anxious to hear what you guys think. I know someone has to relate with me!

WHY AM I TORTURING MYSELF and watching this???as if my stomach wasn’t feeling terrible as it is!
Only 22 minutes until this torture is over.

I think Bethenny is being way too hard on herself, she wasn’t nearly as bad on the outside watching as she clearly felt on the inside.

I can already see the Bethenny haters ripping her apart for this episode but I didn’t think that it was nearly as bad as Bethenny thought it was, she is human after all and while she didn’t seem freaked out about the age of 40, she clearly still has issues when it comes to her parents but I think she’s working through them as best as she can.

    I rest my case.

I’m torn because I feel sorry for Bethenny but I’m also losing my patience with her. She as life by the balls but creates drama and misery over nothing. She says that birthdays are always hard for her. Since she knows this, why not tell Jason that she wants a family birthday celebration with a cake in the apartment?

All those people were gathered there for her birthday. She needs to learn to suck it up. I wonder how long Jason is going to put up with this stuff. He’s really trying hard to please her.

    • error404 says:

It always cuts both ways. This is a least the second time this season that Jason has had to pull B aside afterward and apollogize for his behavior. How much longer will she put up with that? Will 3 strikes be out? I personally think not, but who knows.

      • LynnNChicago says:

I agree, they are still newlyweds and they’re both going to make mistakes, they’re still getting to know each other but they seem to be so in love and forgive each other.

I think they’re going to be together for a very long time.

        • Sammysmom says:

I don’t know why, maybe I am flaky, but I keep going back and forth with Bethenny. I adore her but I wish they would show her happier for all her success in love, life and business. I guess it is hard to have it all, and I so don’t, so I can’t understand it.

people no matter how rich or successful are bound to have good as well as bad days
having an entire life filled with neglect from ones parents is bound to take its toll on her

        • lovemamaearth says:

I think they’ll last too. If I’d taken on all that B has taken on in such a short time, I’d be hiding in the closet too but for a lot longer.

        • DJ Loops Fruit says:

I agree lynn anyone can tell they are crazy for each other
Love the scenes with the baby
          they always make me smile
loved the closet with “the boo boo”
just shows how real she is

      • Noreen says:

Bethenny spent the previous show begging Jason to let it be small and simple. My 40th birthday was great until my best friend decided everyone had to go around the room and say something about me. I thought I was going to die. And that is only half of it. I had friends fighting over who was having the party. My sister called one of the friends and said my siblings were flying down my birthday weekend and could the party be then and she said no because it did not work for her calendar. It may sound nice, all these people caring about you, but it was a nightmare. For my 50th, I am throwing the party: pizza, salad and beer and that’s it. I totally understand how Bethenny felt.

        • kbinldo says:

For my 50th, I’m going on a cruise & anyone of my family & friends who want to go with me, can.

my 40th my sister called me up NOT to wish me a happy birthday but to tell me her fridge was on the fritz and could i store her food for her
my 50th which should be a landmark my entire family did nothing
Jimmy and i went out to eat but no matter what i was super depressed that not only did they do nothing but had forgotten again it was my birthday
the only relative that ever did anything special for me passed 2 days before my birthday 9 years ago
i still cant think about her for more then a minute w/o breaking down
sorry for the long post the birthday eppisone was very relatable for me

          • humbruh says:

It hit home for me too DJ Loops. B hasn’t yet dealt with the neglect issues with her parents. She’s never been ok. She has used her snark/humor & constant work as a cover but now that she has to deal with the dynamics of family relationships (ie. Jason, the in-laws, Bryn) the armor is beginning to crack.

I don’t agree with her being a bitch at all but I get her having a meltdown regarding her birthday. My dad made the choice to not be around for a huge chunk of my childhood & that’s part of the reason why, even in my 30′s, Christmas is a hard time of the year for me. Because celebrating the holiday is important to my family, I focus on trying to put a smile on their faces so I don’t go inward & have a meltdown like B did. I wasn’t able to get to the point were I don’t get depressed until I dealt with the issue & that involved having an open & honest conversation with my father. Thank God I did because there would be no way in hell I could have a functional relationship with a man or my own children had I not. Shutting him out would have hurt my well being more than it ever could hurt him.

We know from last season B went to see her father before he died & he was still being a prick. I’m wondering if she actually told him everything she was feeling or if she held back because she’s obviously still holding on to stuff. If this therapist were worth half the redic amount of money we know she’s paying him & getting him in free publicity, he would be encouraging her to get her feelings for her mom off her chest while she still has the chance to do so. I’m not saying she’s gotta let her in her life but get that shit out so she can be free of that anger cause it is consuming her & effecting the folks around her.

I do think her reaction was genuine & not staged, just from the look on her face. From personal experience, it looked like she was doing her damnedest to try & hold it all in when she really just wanted to stay in bed & have a good cry. I will be pissed if they are “setting up” a reunion because there are folks out there dealing with real emotions like these. This would be a great opportunity for her to show some growth.

that being said i wouldnt have it any other way that is how you grow

    • quincyil says:

She was going over the edge in her apartment when crying, hiding in the closet and being hard with Gina.

Jason is a little dense when it comes to reading his wife. I’m sure he will adapt and she will try to suck it up as time goes on.

    • mariareads says:

While I agree with you in some ways, I have this little nagging voice in my head saying that there is something terribly wrong here. That reaction to a birthday was intense and you could see from the look on her face and the crying during the day that there is something very scary about that birthday time. Her mother has the same birthday, her mother seems to have been a pretty bad mom-if a mom at all. Maybe it was all about MOM and not the kid at birthday time. Maybe there is something worse that went on on that day. Dad used to send a check. Kids are easy to damage with those kinds of things year after year. I’m in no way making excuses for her behavior but if you listen to the last show she said she really didn’t want all of this. Nobody seemed to hear. I’m going through a horrible, horrible time right now and I know that if I voiced some of it people would say things like: she has a great husband, lives in a great house, her kids are great blah, blah, blah, but I’m going through a terrible time anyway. Things and success don’t always take care of emotional pain and fear and damage. I guess that’s why I’m cutting her some slack. I never seem to have a good birthday myself and choose to ignore it most of the time except for letting my immediate family give me a gift and we have cake. Anything else just seems to make me sad. And I have no idea why. Maybe Bravo was pushing this 40th BD thing. They need story lines-and if they think it will bring on the drama, they will go for it. JMHO.
I think B is badly damaged. She needs lots and lots of help from professionals. That said, some of us go through life damaged and we fake it and keep moving. Maybe that’s the best she’s going to be able to hope for.

      • error404 says:

I’m so sorry to hear you are going through a rough time. I’ve been depressed before and you could have your wildest dreams and not be able to enjoy it and be helpless to stop yourself. It sucks.

Everyone reacts to things differently and you only have to talk to two siblings to see two completely different views of the same childhood. B is IMO a survivor and very functional for someone with childhood issues. The battlecry among fans for her to just flip a switch and “get over it” are a little shocking to me.

        • mariareads says:

Thanks so much Error. You are really so very kind. I’m not into drama much but I would by telling a lie if I said I was doing OK. It will pass, there will be resolution and I will be OK, but being on the internet during the day helps me out and chatting about what we watch, see, think-lifts my spirits. My stuff is based on fear of a some medical issues that can’t be diagnosed and the anxiety and depression of being overwhelmed is exhausting. I guess that’s why I try to cut people some slack. Sometimes we all go through these miserable times and, hopefully, we learn a little compassion and understanding from our own situations. I’m so interested in life and have so many things I love to do and truly, I’m very blessed and I know it. I have no complaints but I sure as heck am anxious as all hell. You are so kind to find the part about me and respond. I hope I can do the same for someone else very soon. Let’s all be happy today LOL!! No worries!

Focus on the positive people in your life and don’t give up on yourself! Keep fighting for the best anwsers and the best treatment. I’m glad I was able to get the proper

@ MariaReads – Sending hugs and prayers your way.

      • BlueSky_Forever says:

Agree with you Maria. B is very damaged. She is getting better-I see it on her show as she behaves so much better now with Jason, Bryn, even her in-laws. She’s taking us on her journey. Her book seems to be her way of saying, here’s how you can change your life. It’s her gift to us, what happened to her along the way as she overcame the hurdles in her life to success & happiness. I just hope Jason never ever gives up on her.

        • mariareads says:

BlueSky-remembering that these shows were filmed a while back, time has passed and I’m sure things are progressing for her and her family. I would have killed for inlaws like the Hoppy family who seem to go along with whatever will make their son’s family happier and better. Didn’t have that so much but nothing is perfect. Had my own parents who loved me so I can’t relate to that family of origin thing. Maybe now, after biting off too much and getting past it, this year has been better and sweeter for their family. I watched B on Imus this morning and she seemed composed, looked relatively good and was less snarky but more humorous-if that makes any sense. She was careful. Maybe that’s something new in her life. More cautious with those words. Anyway, maybe there is less pressure and less stress so that she and her little family can operate with less drama over the little things like a trip to PA for 2 days. But what would B be without the snark? Pretty damned boring. When she’s “on” and funny, it makes me laugh! Then again I have always like acerbic (who knows if I am spelling that correctly or using it correctly) comedy. Not cruel but edgy.

          • BlueSky_Forever says:

hope you are doing better Maria, you know we will be praying for you!

B looked fantastic on Lopez the other night, plus she was very funny. She makes a great guest, I think she was very good on Ellen’s show too.

Hope she does the View & really wows ’em.

          • BlueSky_Forever says:

I can’t stand the View, so I dvr’d it & then skipped to the part with RHONY. So funny, Jillzy was next to Sheree, someone noted yesterday she always manages to sit next to the host lol. Jillzy gave such a canned explanation of last year’s fight with B. So she got called out for the show being fake ’cause Jillzy thought it wasn’t a “real” fight, it was a “show” fight. lol Jill will never get it. Jillzy says this season “we will see the real Jill.” Yup I bet we will & we will still hate you Jill!

            • Laura says:

I suppose it was normal that Bethenny was mentioned no less than three or four times during their little segment today. I just watched it and it was hysterical to me that all the women still talk all over one another, even in a talk show setting. Nothing changes with these women, eh?? I can’t ever see Jill redeeming herself for her past behaviors. What a slug she is!

PS – Maria, even though we don’t know one another, I’ll be saying prayers for you. Your pain is intense and it made my heart hurt to read your words. Best of luck to you.

          • vilzvet says:

You will be just fine Maria, I know it! P.S. Turning off The View is a start to a good day. I always watch Price is Right instead, in fact, I sent away for tickets. I have a plan to go to LA in June…God willing. Hope you have a nice day.

      • DJ Loops Fruit says:

sorry to hear that you too have these feelings about birthdays
i bet there are more of us out there then we know

    • Sha2000 says:

Yes but if the was no drama (relevant or manufactured as in most of these “reality shows”) it would be quite boring. Who wants to just watch her go from venue to venue, party to party promoting her wares? Not me. Bethenney, HW’s, MDL, MMM, all the same Bravo formula…inject drama real or fake.

      • HD says:

Very true, Sha. That party was a Bravo thing. That is why that party planner was involved so he can stay in the limelight for his show.

Bethanny has some unresolved issues that she needs to seriously get a grip on. She probably thought she was okay but when you have cameras following you and the media and your mom in the press dogging you and the list goes on and on it probably is hitting her like a ton of bricks. Get some help child! And learn to live!

        • WindyCityWondering says:

The party reeked of a Bravo event, which included Shawn, Alex and Ramona. Bravo Andy was even there (thankfully off camera)! Bethenny has been to enough Bravo events to know she had to expect the unexpected!

          • TLM says:

Andy Cohen tweeted that he was at the party as well, even though we didn’t see him on camera. So it seems it was a Bravo event. I have to think Bravo was paying for it, too, which begs the question why there was this rigid limit on the guest list. The only reason I can think of is that B just did not want it to be too big an event.

        • Sha2000 says:

Hey HD, the party planner is getting a show?

      • DJ Loops Fruit says:

actually i would enjoy watching it
there is a new reality show coming up about people that clip coupons and spend little to no money grocery shopping
        many would find this dull
        im not even joking
sure a lot of us LOVE the drama myself included but sometimes its just too much
i love Bethenny ever after but mostly for teh happier non dramatic moments
my fave parts are the times spent with the baby
oh who could possibly stay in a bad mood too minutes after a Bryn Sighting

    • lkgolfnut says:

I think it is brave of B to show us her life warts and all. Even though it is uncomfortable for both the viewers and her own new family. Her birthday blues, looked more like grief to me and may have been as big of a surprise to her as it was to everyone else. She has been stuffing all her unhappy childhood feelings down into her gut for years and just blasting forward concentrating on her work. She had said last year when she started seeing the therapist that she would typically only see a therapist when she was already in crisis as a quick fix. Well now that she knows herself better and she found Jason and was having a child she decided to work on her issues before a crisis. It’s not to big of a shock to see her breakdown because she is finally unpacking all of her insecurities about motherhood and marriage. We only see a few seconds of her therapy sessions, if she is really working on herself (and I think she is) all of her emotions are going to be closer to the surface and it will be harder to fake a smile and that everything is O.K. when it is not, than it used to be for her when she just ignored her feelings. I think that she is doing a great job working on herself, even with the breakdown, she quickly saw how it was affecting others and she stopped right then to say she was sorry and clarify her issue with her husband. You know it’s easier to act happy when your sad, but when you are feeling grief, that’s a tough emotion to pretend your not feeling.

  3. HD says:

Well shoot…I gave all my good points on the last blog. LOL! I always try to wait to comment because I know a new blog is coming in the morning but Simon just pissed me off last night.

As for BEA-she just has some deeper issues she needs to deal with.

    Thanks for the blog, Lynn!

  4. error404 says:

It will be interesting to see if B can keep her magic formula. Sure, we all loved her when she raked her housewife castmates over the coals, but will we feel the same if she starts snarking on her D-List co-stars of DWTS? These people do have fans.

    • HD says:

That will be interesting because when she spoke about her partner and his Olympic thing I thought ummmmm you might not want to mention that. The Olympics is not something you just wake up and decide to do and if you miss the chance you think oh well I can do it again next year. For some of these atheletes that have one shot. (Not saying that was the case with him) I just thought she should have not said anything about that. He probably relives that moment in his head enough.

(BTW, Error I am not sure if you read my last response about the social media thing. Just wanted to be sure so you know I am not down on social media as a career and of course I know that is a REAL job and HIGHLY LUCRATIVE! I just don’t think its Simon’s job.)

      • error404 says:

I did and I responded. I didn’t take it personally at all, but I’m glad you clarified. I was afraid it was one of those sweeping generalizations like “Lawyers are all cheats!” etc.. Glad to hear I was wrong. And I sorta agree about Simon. Perhaps he does have clients. Or perhaps he’s just calling himself a SM Consultant so he can twitter all day like his new bff Kelly. LOL We’re cool. 🙂

Beautiful Blog Lynn~I don’t know what to make of people anymore. Going to watch Desperate HW’s, I mean NYC HW’s on The View at 10am here. Probably won’t be able to watch whole show.

    • Sha2000 says:

Hey lady! Hope all is well today…..

      • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

Hi Susan~it’s absolutely beautiful here today. How about you?
Watching the pew as I call them live. Waiting for NYC HW”s.

        • Sha2000 says:

Good, thanks. At the car dealership, iPad battery running low & I don’t know when My car will be finished.

          • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

Hubby is taking our car in tomorrow to have work done on AC. I knew they would be last on pew. lol
            Glad you are ok.

  6. Noreen says:

The last seen with B, J, B & C in the tub was adorable. These are happy people.

    • Sha2000 says:

They had the dog with their infant in the bath tub? Were they actually bathing?
Or just in there having fun? Hmmm, without seeing it, makes me wonder what were they thinking?

      • Noreen says:

LOL – I thought the same thing – wet dog does not smell so great. But then Bethenny is such a clean freak, I doubt Cookie every stinks.

        • Sha2000 says:

          Still, yuck!

          • VAgirl says:

They had their bathing suits on.

            • Lavalady says:

              And sunglasses!

              • Sha2000 says:

Still! Dogs walk without shoes as you know, Manhattan streets are filthy even if they look clean. People are nasty & spit on the ground, other dogs pee and poop and it’s part of the bacteria on the ground that the dog steps on…I’m willing to bet the pads of a paw are the dirtiest thing on a dog (like shopping cart handles) and you put the dog & it’s paws in a tub w/your infant????? I LOVE, LOVE my dog but I would never do that.

              • TLM says:

I think Bethenny needs a bigger place. I feel claustrophobic half the time watching them in that apartment, and the bathtub scene felt that way, too.

I have had a burning question about the show and apartment that will probably seem stupid, but here goes.

Where the hell are Jason’s clothes???

Bethenny has the entire walk-in closet in their bedroom, and a room off the kitchen that’s supposed to be a pantry is filled up top to bottom with her shoes and handbags. They aren’t in the nursery closet, which she showed on the Bluefly commercial. I wonder if there’s a 4th bedroom that isn’t shown on camera. Has anyone else had the same thought?

  7. cdnfillie58 says:

Thanks for the blog Lynn. But I think I’m going to stick to just catching her on talk shows and such from now on..not so much BEA. IMO..she knew when she was getting her makeup on she was about to lose it, and so did Jason and Julie. Things should have been called off right then and there. Drama drama drama..1st time I’ve been disappointed in Jason too.
Oh yea…and she needs to fire the therapist of hers cause it ain’t working for her.

    • Sha2000 says:

Yes thanks for the blog, enjoyed it. I didn’t watch last night, I skipped and watched Eat,Pray,Love on demand…I thought it would be cliché but it was actually only so in the Italian scenes, good movie and I stayed awake which I can’t seem to do w/Bethenny! Question, in the blog you said that Bethenny is “only human after all” ( as a response to her emotions), can’t this same thing be said about Simon? Maybe his remark was spurred on by his being hurt by Bethenny’s comment ? Maybe? And how do we know he didn’t comment to Jill privately or dropped it because he thought she’d be unreceptive? Prehaps he just expected Bethenny to be kinder? I can’t think of one person I know who would be flattered by being basically called a lush in public let alone on tv, be it in jest or not, it was uncalled for.

    • DJ Loops Fruit says:

therapy doesnt work in a short period of time sometimes it takes eons
      depending on the person

i had intensive therapy for close to 10 years over an incident that happened in my teens
      it did eventually help

  8. plainviewsue says:

I tweeted to Simon if he’s been drinking the Jill Zarin Koolaid. I don’t get why he even had to tweat about this, and for those of us who have become “fans” of his over the past year, are clearly annoyed.

As for Bethenny, it was hard to watch. I agree with Sus. Everything is going so fantastic in her life; if Jason wants to do this for her, just smile and have a good time. If she truly can’t, then I think it’s time for a new therapist.

Jason is so patient; I hope he doesn’t run out of patience.

    • NormaJean says:

Therapy is a process and takes time, sometimes years to work through trauma. As for Jason, he didn’t care how Bethenny felt about having a party. He pushed this on her because he loves birthday parties and thinks she’s not “normal” if she doesn’t feel the same way. Why should she have to suck it up and celebrate her birthday the way Jason wants her to? Maybe Jason should suck it up and let Bethenny have the celebration she wanted.

      • Sus says:

It does seem like Bethenny and Jason weren’t on the same page about the party. However, it was done. The people were there. They had the cake and gifts. Why not just be nice and thankful for how thoughtful everyone is and talk to him later about how she felt. Maybe she needs Xanax for those moments when she freaks out. I felt embarrassed for her.

    • VAgirl says:

And I hope she doesn’t run out of patience with Jason when he keeps trying to make her “normal.” It works both ways.

    • 2Stupid says:

I think part of the problem is Bethenny doesn’t believe she deserves Jason. She was having the party to please him, she mentioned several times. I know Bravo was probably pushing it too, as well. But you can have everything and still be sad about things in your life. In my opinion, she tried to put on a brave face and go along with it. However, she feels that she is not normal because she didn’t have a great childhood. Then she marries someone who had the ideal childhood, and really cannot relate to Bethenny’s loveless world. I know many here have mentioned she didn’t go hungry, and I agree she should have gotten over it by now, but when you feel that your parents don’t love you it leave a big dark hole. Just because you went on nice vacations, and were sent to exclusive schools doesn’t make you feel better when you are alone on holidays or spendinwith other people’s families.

      • 2Stupid says:

Sorry about all typos. Trying to work and hang out with you all.

      • katlg says:

    • Nancy says:

I can only wonder what Jason’s parents were thinking?

      • Sus says:

I was wondering that too Nancy. I bet they were asking themselves why they can’t go to their daughter-in-law’s birthday party and give her a gift that she admired a while back without there being histrionics from the birthday girl.

    • DJ Loops Fruit says:

maybe the comment about drinking could hurt his chances at getting another job

  9. Sg says:

Now Simon is the villain because he was offended by Bethenny’s rude comments? I see how it is. This delusional ass kissing of Bethenny needs to stop. It seems anyone who has any sort of conflict with Bethenny suddenly becomes an enemy of this blog and anyone who likes her suddenly gets worshipped. Just like Simon was worshipped up until last nights episode!

    • HD says:

Well I ain’t never worshipped him and anyone on this board can tell you I have always said they are a normal (read boring) couple. I have said since day one they were social climbers. I have said since day one Simon is always involved in housewife stuff when he needs to focus on himself/career. My thoughts remained the same when he YET AGAIN got involved in the whole Kelly Twitter name thing. I stand on everything that I have said. If I am nothing, I am consistent about how I feel.

Also anyone else can tell tell you since day one, I hold B to the task for whatever I feel like. I don’t wear Bethanny colored glasses. If she does something foul, I will politely say it.

Lynn is pretty free about us stating our opinions and although I don’t always agree with everyone here, no one has ever come down on me for it and I can be pretty vocal (to put it a nice way lol)

      • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

I felt bad for Jason, Hannah. He was simply trying to make new memories for them so she would stop having bad birthdays. I guess since I am a party girl the whole thing is over reacting to me. I thought the presents were very thoughtful as well. The cake was a little crazy but all in good fun.

        • HD says:

I do feel like Bethanny could have sucked it up but watching her cry when her friend made the comment, watching her “yell” at Jason while she was getting her make up done, then watching her “breakdown” in the bathroom, I got to thinking, this is a huge deal for her for some reason that we are not privy to. Because most people would just suck it up. (I would have.) She has a real issue with this that she needs to resolve.

I feel bad for Jason often. To me he exist in B’s world. They are newly married and have not found a way to converge their lives. Right now, his life, to me, is Bethanny.

      • TLM says:

LOL @ Bethenny-colored glasses. I guess they would be red, her signature color. Which is almost rose. ;)~

I still went to the forum, but just had to skip over all of the OTT bashing with so many people claiming then now hated Peggy’s guts, etc… Apparently, it’s how a lot of people are.

      • Sha2000 says:

Got to bring my commit above down here, on the subject of Simon:
Question, in the blog you said that Bethenny is “only human after all” ( as a response to her emotions), can’t this same thing be said about Simon? Maybe his remark was spurred on by his being hurt by Bethenny’s comment ? Maybe? And how do we know he didn’t comment to Jill privately or dropped it because he thought she’d be unreceptive? I do have to agree that the idolizing of Bethenny is a bit much, that said, whatever floats your boat, if the subject were Bono, I’d be gushing on his virtues too.

      • Sha2000 says:

Hi Lynn, you’ve got Simon’s ear, why not ask him for his take on the matter? Why as you said you feel that he was easier on JZ than BF? Let him answer the question, I’m sure he’d be more than willing especially since he’s visited us here before.

    • VAgirl says:

Who’s been worshipping Simon? He’s always wanted to be a NY Housewife (for what reason I’ll never know) and now it looks like he’s finally gotten his wish. Good luck to him!

      • HD says:

        LMAO!! VAgirl that was funny!

        • quincyil says:

Actually, I found an article when researching Lynn and my version of season four. In it, Jill Zarin said that one thing that upset her was one “housewife” came between her and Bobby. What interested Lynn and I was the “housewife” in quotes. Why quotes? Was it really not a housewife from the series? We thought it might be Simon and we came up with a few other ideas so we incorporated that into our story.

Someone came between Jill and Bobby for sure. Jill is a yenta and she can’t keep a secret. That would be the ultimate sin in Jill Zarin’s book. Bobby is the source of her wealth. Jill has issues with Simon and Alex, Ramona, and Bethenny. On Scary Island when Bobby talked to Bethenny, she said that she wanted to talk to him about all of this. The “housewife” could refer to her as she is no longer a cast member, but I just don’t think Bethenny would cut off Jill and go to Bobby. She said to Jill that going to Bobby during the fight would be disrespectful. I don’t think Ramona would go to Bobby. They know each other, but Ramona would go to Jill directly.

In this modern world, people use quotation marks for a lot of things, but in my mind it meant that the person was not really a housewife of NYC.

          • quincyil says:

interested Lynn and me… grammar police called. No… I thought about it ….

            What interested….me… was…

          • OneMoreInBoston says:

            hmmm…maybe like a “regular” person?

Which regular person do we know that also knows Bobby?

And maybe visited Zarin Fabrics to say hi? Or maybe knew Bobby’s family?

So I wonder if that that regular “housewife” lives in NYC?

BTW- NYC has beautiful views doesn’t it?

    • Kukulet says:

Oh, please. Speaking of delusional ass kissing, when do you plan to remove your virtual lips from Simon’s virtual butt?

Okay, he was offended by Bethenny’s comment-although it was mild compared to Jill’s “falling down drunk”. I get that. He made his point. Now put down the Jillaid, blow it off and move on, Simon. Turning it into a Twitter debate is just stupid. He’s probably said some mean things about her, too, but we don’t see Bethenny whinging on about it.

So he likes to drink at parties? Stop the presses. No one’s ever done THAT before.

      • Sha2000 says:

Do we know he didn’t comment to Jill privately or dropped it because he thought she’d be unreceptive? no.

        • Kukulet says:

Of course we don’t. What is your point? How do you compare commenting to Jill privately to posting a public rebuke at Bethenny?

          • Sha2000 says:

Well if JZ is as bad as everyone claims, he knew the nature of the beast and backed down or they settled it in private. Bethenny has a reputation for being nice right? Maybe he expected more from her. Who knows? I think a mountain is being made out of a mole hill, and frankly whether he tweeted or not in response to what was said on tv in defense of his own character is none of our business.

            • Kukulet says:

“Bethenny has a reputation for being nice, right?”

She does? I thought she had a reputation for being downright snarky and thoughtless at times. Did I miss something?

“…frankly whether he tweeted or not in response to what was said on tv in defense of his own character is none of our business.”

Seriously? HE put it out there for people to read, so it follows that people are going to comment. That’s the main point of a social network.

              • Sha2000 says:

He made a public response to a comment made on tv. He has a right to defend himself in my opinion, our questioning his motives maybe not so much….my opinion.

                • Kukulet says:

“Public” being the key word. You put something out for the public to read, the public is going to comment and speculate. That’s just human nature.

Of course, Simon has the right to defend himself. I get that. I just don’t necessarily agree with his method of doing so. Was it wrong for Bethenny to make a comment like that on a national television show? Yes. As always, Bethenny could have been more discreet. So, because she abandoned discretion, Simon should also? He’s certainly smart enough to know that rebuking her on a public forum just adds fuel to the fire.

Two wrongs never made a right.

      • HD says:

“So he likes to drink at parties? Stop the presses. No one’s ever done THAT before”

Okay! They all like to drink. They wake up drinking, the go to bed drinking. What is the big deal? He is the one that made it an issue and why it is still being talked about. A hit dog will holler and a guilty pig will squeal!

    • OneMoreInBoston says:

SG- “This delusional ass kissing of Bethenny needs to stop”

      Why? cause you said so?

Is the world not turning on it’s axis? Do lives hang in the balance?

This is a blog- we’re not curing cancer here.

I’ll continue with my “delusional ass kissing” for now. But thanks for sharing!

    • Noreen says:

I don’t think anyone on this board is delusional about Bethenny. I think the comments here are all over the place and well stated. And I like Simon and Alex. I stated on the previous blog that I wish B and Alex were truly friends, but I dont’t think they will be. I just think Simon over reacted. She did not say he was falling down drunk, she did not say he drank, she did not say he got bombed. She said she hoped he would get bombed to lighten up the mood.

      • DJ Loops Fruit says:

exactly i dont think B meant to hurt his feelings and who knows what was going on in his life at that exact moment
thats the biggest problem with social networks once you say something you cant take it back
people say hatefull hurtfull things that they DONT really mean in real life all the time but once you say it online it becomes fact forever

  10. Sus says:

There are lots of people in the world that have horrible childhoods. They get beaten, not fed, not loved, etc. At some point you have to just to move on if you want a happy life.

Maybe her parents did the best they could in their own circumstances. Did they intentionally set out to have a child and hurt her?

Bethenny has a beautiful daughter, a devoted husband and a good career. I’d like to know how long she has been in therapy. She needs to let go of the bad childhood and concentrate on raising Bryn differently.

    • 2Stupid says:

I have to say if you haven’t been loved unconditionally it is hard to love your children unconditionally. You want to, but you some how feel inept. You really do learn alot from your parents growing up. I wanted to be more involved than my parents were, but still sometimes revert to the bad behavior my parents used. Why do you think abuse is usually cyclical. Being a parent in general makes you insecure, but if you come from an unuturing environment you are even more insecure if you are going to be a bad parent. I know I am projecting my own feelings, but I do see a lot of that in Bethenny. I think maybe that is why Jill can turn on her so easily. Jill came from a secure home, maybe a little too controlling by Gloria, but still close. Jill couldn’t relate to the idea of feeling you are alone that Bethenny has experienced. I don’t think Jason can really comprehend or understand either.

    • error404 says:

Sorry, but I don’t share your concern or really understand exactly what it is. She’s married, got a kid, a job (a really good one in fact!), friends, goes out in public, socializes, etc… what exactly are these failures to get over it that you think she has. She very functional. Extremely so in fact. She’s not a drug addict, sex addict, shop lifter etc… or any of the other ways people act out when not dealing with issues.

Sorry, but I think people need to get over the “she complains too much!” complaint. Some people are just whiners. B has always been a whiner. It’s like a pressure valve for some people. Complaining lets off steam and makes them more able to deal with pressure, and she certainly in under pressure. She’s doing a life’s worth of living in one year, all under a microscope. I just understand why she’s suppose to have had a complete personality transplant just because some dude put a ring on her finger.

      • Noreen says:

ITA! Love Bethenny because she isn’t perfect and admits it, owns her mistakes and does not kiss ass to anyone.

      • 2Stupid says:

My point, which I guess I didn’t make clearly, is that Bethenny hang ups stem from her lack of a healthy upbringing. I am mainly referring to the comment that she made to Jason, about being overwhelmed by all the family stuff with his parents, and her being made to feel like the crazy one. I think she can be insecure about the fact she is now in a commited relationship, with a family (extended) that seemingly adores her. She wasn’t upset that whe was uncomfortable at the party, she was upset that she may have embarrassed Jason and didn’t seem grateful. My point was they come from 2 different backgrounds and are having to learn how to see things from each others’ perspectives. I actually think Bethenny is trying harder, and being more successful at it than Jason.

        • error404 says:

I agree that her worry over being “abnormal” is because she hasn’t exorcized all her demons. But I also think it’s fed by his attitude that he’s “the normal one”. I know I’m in the minority here, but with regard to Jason “normal” = “stupid and dull”.

He is Guy Richie to B’s Madonna IMO. Maddy was “abnormal” because she worked out everyday. Guy was “normal” because he spent every night down the boozer with his mates. I’ve spent most of my life running as fast as I could from “normal”.

    • DJ Loops Fruit says:

but who is to say when they HAVE to move on
till its happening to you ,its not really fair to say
and obviously from what we see B is Raising her daughter in the complete opposite way as her parents raised her
ive never seen a child that seems so happy and filled with unconditional love

  11. BlueSky_Forever says:

Simon is such an idiot. He’s making a big deal out of B’s comment about his drinking? Looks to me like he’s just trying to justify his changing relationship with Jill. Wow, that’s not going to win Silex more fans. Really makes you wonder about that weird blog post Lynn got here over the holidays, about would Lynn be friendlier to Jill if Jill became friends with Silex? So now I have to watch RHONY to see how Silex gets along with Jill ! The plot thickens…!

      • quincyil says:

I don’t think Simon will like this conversation.

I think he and Alex are card holders in the Jill Zarin club now and it makes me sad.

  12. WindyCityWondering says:

IMO, Jason’s intentions all along were to make her birthday party his kind of party to show Bethenny what a normal party should be….he never really listened to her explain why birthdays were not easy for her to deal with and what made her uncomfortable (surprises) he just plowed ahead. The dress form speech was so awkward – it was a family centric gift, the guests didn’t get it anymore than Bethenny did and the presents should have been given to Bethenny at a private family celebration where she would be at ease and free to express her thanks. The bathtub party was so cute and Bethenny’s smile tells it all – she has a family and that is enough for her!

    • VAgirl says:

I think he learned his lesson with that one. If my husband would have made that big speech and gift production to me at my 50th b-day party, I would have been mortified! Just food, drinks and good dance music would have been better. I think she would have been OK with that.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

ITA – Jason added pressure instead of the understand/support Bethenny needed. Hopefully, he learned that his way isn’t the only way even when he thinks his intentions were good! We are watching them figure it out – awkward at time but never without love.

  13. Chi1111 says:

Lynn, I enjoy your blogs, but get out of Bethenny’s ass already! She can so no wrong in your eyes. This blog should be called I adore BF!
Basically any housewife that block you (because you tweet nasty things to) you are so nasty to. There is so much hate in your blogs, I hope your son doesn’t read them. Just admit it, you were wronged in your life by someone like JZ, and now it’s pay back.

It’s Lynn’s blog and her Twitter account. She can handle them any way she likes. If you don’t care for it, go fiddle with your own.

MOST of us are wronged by someone like JZ in our lifetimes. That’s the way it works. It’s not like many of us ran afoul of Mother Theresa’s vindictive side.

You came to a blog called “I Hate Jill Zarin” and expected rainbows and cupcakes, maybe?

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Well I guess Jill found a way to get her two cents in! lol

    • skogsstig says:

Chi – You wrote, “There is so much hate in your blogs, I hope your son doesn’t read them. ” …
Here’s how Merriam Webster defines hate:
a : intense hostility and aversion usually deriving from fear, anger, or sense of injury b : extreme dislike or antipathy : loathing

I do see critique of behaviors here, even dislike of behaviors – but nothing extreme or intense. So if you read it as “so much hate,” how is it you also write, “I enjoy your blogs?” Pet someone with one hand and smack with the other?
The meaning of “hate” is being diminished by over-use…

    • LynnNChicago says:

WOW you’re way off, I don’t know anyone like Jill Zarin, never have and hope to never meet anyone like her. (btw I love when you people pretend to know everything about me)

I tweet the TRUTH to the nasty housewives, deal with it. Whether they block me or not, I call em like I see em. I’ve said things to Jac Laurita, she hasn’t blocked me. I think you got it a bit backwards, they block me BECAUSE I say the truth and they don’t like it.

      • Chi1111 says:

You are right about that, but you seem to justify ALL of BF’ actions. That’s all. Plus the HW I was referring to was Tamara.

You used to write such nice things about Silex, now that he has an opinion about how he was treated by BF, everyone including you are dogging him.
Didn’t they invite you to their home?? How many times has BF?

It’s funny, bravo perhaps would hire someone like you to blog for them, but you’re one sided.

        • quincyil says:

You have a lot of concerns, but I don’t think they are founded in facts. I have seen many blogs by Lynn that criticized Bethenny. I think Lynn calls them as she sees them. I don’t always agree and I feel free to disagree with Lynn at any time.

The golden rule here is you don’t hit another poster over the head with a baseball bat in your comment. You give your opinion and back it up with factual information if you know the facts and feel that this will support your argument.

Don’t worry… if Lynn is wrong… a lot of people here will say so and Lynn has no problem taking the hits.

      • Whiteheat18 says:

U know how much I love your blog. Just keep doing what you’re doing. Ignore the haters:)))

    • Nancy says:

Who peed in your Cornflakes today?

    • TLM says:

Are you saying BF is Lynn’s BFF? LOL.

  14. LeaLea says:

In Simon’s defense, I think he reacted the way he did becuase his drinking became an issued on RHONY. Remember a couple of seasons ago when Jill made some comment in the Post about him being a drunk? Given this history, I could see how he could take offense to Bethenny’s comments. I believe, back then, that it might have affected his job or something (I can’t remmber totally), but Bethenny’s comment kind of poured salt in the wound and brought up a rumor that I think he’s worked hard dispell. Just my opinion. And besides, he is entitled to his opinion. Just because you may not react the same to somethign doesn’t mean he isn’t allowed to feel what he feels.

  15. WindyCityWondering says:

Been thinking about Simon’s weird tweet about Bethenny’s comment on his getting bombed and giving her some diversion from the birthday bash. He was drunk at her wedding. She was drunk on the boat after her breakup with Jason 1.0. IMO, drinking isn’t the issue – he likely had planned out some kind of speech for her birthday and his scene was just a welcome to the party. He didn’t get enough face time and was resentful. It might not be wise to disrespect Bethenny as she is known to support people she likes (Nick, Shawn, even Max got another chance) and he may have cut off a future opportunity – she is into social media after all.

  16. marcy says:

simon who????? that drunk is lucky he was even invited…slobbering idiot…no job an internet wife and no future,,,bethanny should avoid losers like that

  17. FlowerPower says:

Simon posted a link on FB to some of Alex’s new modeling pics. I didn’t like them very much (except the top one), but I’m not big into fashion.

  18. Mel says:

    Hi JIll Zarin….i mean Chi1111.

This blog was started by someone who wanted to express her opinion, sorry if her opinion does not fit your standards. Everyone here is free to state how they feel regarding the housewives, shame on you for attacking Lynn for expressing herself. She always free reign for comments to either agree or disagree with her. If you don’t like what you see, why are you on this site?

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Could the reason Chi1111 is so hatefully cranky is because it is so hard to blog when your lips are planted on Jill’s massive a$$!

    • Obsessed with RH says:

Well said! I’d like to add that there are many people on this blog who aren’t “worshippers” of Bethenny and are the first to call her out on negative behavior. The reason JZ takes the cake and thus this blog is named after her is because her actions are dripping with malice and ill-intent and it is so obvious she seeks out people to use them for her own gain or take them down for her own selfish motives (This is my opinion but I believe many of us share this). Regardless of your feelings for B, or Alex or any of the other housewives, JZ is alone in that category and this does not mean that we worship Bethenny.

    • LeaLea says:

Are you just looking for someone to argue with? I’m not attacking anyone. And shame one me for giving some insight into why I think he reacted the way he did. And how dare I disagree with someone else’s opinion of someone’s behavior. Are you serious?

  19. TLM says:

Well, I see from the photo at the top that Kelly’s still doing her scoliosis pose. Did anyone see the preview where Jill says there’s nothing to worry about with Kelly, and then cut to this nitwit making “snow angels” in the sand on the beach? Oh yeah. Nothing to worry about.

This review of Pregnant in Heels, from Media Life Magazine, was priceless. Love this guy. http://www.medialifemagazine.com/artman2/publish/TV_Reviews_21/-Pregnant-in-Heels-and-not-so-pretty.asp

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Another Bravo bomb! What is with the sneak peaks of less than interesting offerings from Bravo’s Mistake Vault?

    • error404 says:

      That was LOL funny!

I still feel that Andy’s job is on thin ice. He’s need another BH type hit, because he’s been putting out a bunch of misses one after the other lately.

      • quincyil says:

Andy should ask all of us to Bravo to form a focus group to decide what shows will make it on Bravo. We should also find a new name for Andy. I think Beauford is a good branding name.
Beauford Cohen…. it has a ring to it and it would set him apart. It’s a strong name too. The people in the South will love it.

      • VAgirl says:

I still think Bravo should merge Patty Stanker’s show with some of the Housewives to match them up. I think it would be hilarious to see Patty try to find someone for Vicki or Kelly or Sonia.

      • Sha2000 says:

Thin ice? He’s made millions for Bravo that have created a pop cultural icon (yes lol HW’s love them or hate them, poke fun at them-whatever they get attention) and it’s focus is international now with shows in Greece, UK, Canada, Spain. If he’s such a failure why the expansion.

..if anything I bet Andy is getting a promotion.

        • DJ Loops Fruit says:

he already got one he went from ex producer to vice president of original programming

      • DJ Loops Fruit says:

you couldnt be more wrong if you tried to be
his job has never been so secure if it had been why would Bravo let him bring out new shows

didnt you see how much the veiwership went up from last year to this in that press release

    • kbinldo says:

Gee, how could I not want to watch a show about spoiled, bitchy women who expect hair & make-up to be done perfectly in the delivery room? Think I’ll pop in a ST: Voyager dvd & watch a few re-runs instead.

  20. 2Stupid says:

I don’t tweet, but some of you that do I would love to know if Bethenny will let Shawn plan Bryn’s party. I really like Shawn and would like to see him continue to show up on Bethenny’s show. Also, to the poster upthread about Bethenny helping people she likes, I think she was instrumental in getting Rosie her concierge a show. I mentioned on the other blog, I watched the preview last night. However, both my children’s name were insulted by the yahoo couple that needed a focus group to “brand” their child. In my family, we like the name to be somehting that honors or reminds of family members. Of course I am not a social climbing couple in NY.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

When they went on and on about branding their child I had visions of their family crest being cattle branded on the baby’s bottom! A baby’s name is special to the family and they lost sight of that simple fact.

      • 2Stupid says:

Yeah it reminds you of those people who went with trendy names, Tiffany in the 60’s, which is my sister’s name. My mom thought she was cutting edge. I don’t even want to go into my name, I’ll remain mysterious on that. I can say I have rarely if ever, come across someone with my name, and it most certainly is not a family name LOL.

        • ImaJillHater2 says:

What really made me shudder about this couple is how they have their unborn child’s life already mapped out for him.

No consideration for this child’s likes & dislikes and areas of interest. So this kid will be in therapy about 20 years from now.

  21. Whiteheat18 says:

If Simon felt offended by Bethenny’s comments, he should have texted her instead of venting his outrage on Twitter.

    • I agree with you, he should have addressed Bethenny privately. I think the entire cast of RHONY is hostile towards Bethenny because she has distanced herself from RHONY. I think Simon’s tweets were just the tip of the iceberg. I predict there will be more digs and nasty comments about Bethenny from the RHONY cast in the future.

      • error404 says:

Lashing out rats from a sinking ship perhaps? It’s not B’s fault that the show sucks without her. How many of us feel we owe it to our old job to keep them profitable. We leave. We move on. But their new spat of B bashing only cements the “it had to be totally reedited because it was unwatchable” rumors.

      • Sha2000 says:

He has a right to defend himself to a comment that was made on tv; we should be questioning Bethenny’s motive for saying something nasty publicly about someone not Simon….the way I see it.

        • HD says:

I don’t think her comment was nasty. I think it was just a comment. If she said, you know Simon’s a drunk so he’ll be knockin’ em back at the party. That would have been nasty.

When B and Jason were on the rooftop drinking, before they started, she said, “let’s get bombed” and he said, “okay.” I don’t think she views that as a nasty comment.

I think how Simon took it made it bigger than it was. Just like when she said Ramona had 46 pinot grigios on the yacht. Do we really think Ramona had 46 pinot grigios? Or when she said she wanted to suck a buzz from Ramona’s vein. No harm no foul.

        • Kukulet says:

And I’ll repeat what I said upthread:

When someone puts a comment out there, knowing the public will read it, then those readers will comment and speculate.

          • quincyil says:

Simon is more sensitive that a lot of people. He knows that this is on TV and he cares about the public perception of him, Alex and the boys.

I think he was actually have a nip last night and got carried away.

            • Nancy says:

If Simon really care about how people view him on TV, then don’t get drunk at Bravo functions!

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Where is the fun in that? Simon wants attention and a private message would not get that – now he has an opportunity to “explain” himself in his blog!

    • AZ Girl says:

      Absolutely right on.

  22. error404 says:

OK, I hate red velvet cake. There I said it! Now you can all go back to your obsessive Bethenny worshiping but I refuse to eat the cupcakes. Too busy drinking the Kellaide!

    • Sha2000 says:

Me too! No flavor it’s just red & red food coloring is not the healthiest thing to eat if I remember correctly. Fad cake like teramasue (or how ever its spelled )was for awhile.

      • Sha2000 says:

Sorry iPad battery is going….no time to google the spelling!

      • error404 says:

This is my issue. I tell myself that it’s just chocolate cake with red food coloring in it, so it should taste good. But it tastes like crap. Bar none the worst version of chocolate cake i’ve ever had! Devil’s food, German, flourless, etc.. I can’t think of a chocolate cake that tastes worse. It’s awful! I consider chocolate on of those things that’s impossible to ruin, but somehow red velvet cake manages the feat. lol

        • quincyil says:

I have a niece who went to Jr college for a two year degree in baking. She hates red velvet cake. She won’t let her children eat it because it takes so much dye. Why does Bethenny, a natural food chef like it so much?

        • Kukulet says:

What you eat now is a bastardized version of red velvet cake. It was originally called “Waldorf Astoria”cake, after the hotel of the same name in New York, and there were vanilla and chocolate versions both. The original recipe called for buttermilk which, along with the baking soda, brought out a red color in the cocoa that was used back then. The original recipe was way better, and a lot more chocolatey, than the usual “red velvet cake” we find these days.

James Beard changed the recipe to include red food coloring back in 1972, and that’s the one that is widely used now. The original recipe doesn’t really work now if you want red cake, because cocoa is now dutch processed, which makes it react differently.

          • Sha2000 says:

Makes more sense now, why its so bland. Thanks

          • Nancy says:

Is that really your cat? I had a cat (Howie) that looked just like yours. Brings back good memories. I found him in the trash can at my hospital. We brought him to the ER to warm him up, even started an IV. He lived to be 13. I miss the little guy.

          • error404 says:

Wow. I love learning new trivia!

        • Sha2000 says:

Tres leche, that’s a tasty cake. Tasty & fattening!

        • DJ Loops Fruit says:

are you sure its chocolate im pretty sure its a white cake dyed red

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Was that a red velvet roman candle birthday cake last night? It was truly ugly.

    • LynnNChicago says:

LMAO Error – ok no Red Velvet Cake for you, you know its the only kind we serve here because it’s Bethenny’s favorite and we’re Bethenny ass kissers

  23. OneMoreInBoston says:

I’m not quite sure what to make of this latest twitter dust up.

I like Bethenny. I like Silex. I particularly like Simon. yes I know all about his um…ambitious style? but I still think there is something likable about him.

And I like both of them because they’re smart. And savvy. They get it.

So why would Bethenny say something insulting , and why would Simon respond in anger?

Personally, while I think B. is likable, IMHO she may have just a lil evil streak in her (like all of us) and she deliberately was trying to push Simon’s buttons- why?

In the past Simon has taken the ribbing about his drinking in the good natured spirit it was intended. Nothing good natured about his reaction this time- why?

It seems to me, there is more going on here than meets the eye. It just seems like much ado about nothing…on the surface.

    • error404 says:

ITA. It’s the tip of an ugly iceberg most likely.

    • AZ Girl says:

I agree OMIB. Simon’s tweet was uncharacteristic of him. I am surprised at his reaction. Simon is usually the first to poke fun on himself i.e his clothes and what he wears. But I remember that cab scene 2 season’s ago when he was trying to surprise Alex and got upset at the driver. Simon does have a temper.
I personally (as you all know) hate twitter. I think it is worse form of communication (yes, AZ Girl we know). A tweet is usually sent as an emotion reaction to another’s comment without edit.
Something is or has happened between Alex, Simon and Bethenny that we are not privy to.

      • AZ Girl says:

emotional not emotion….still recovering from the basketball game last night 🙂

      • WindyCityWondering says:

It could be something as simple as it is part of their friend contract with the Queen of Mean….take jabs at Bethenny and I won’t take any at you…..

        • AZ Girl says:

Well I hope you are wrong because a contract with the devil herself can bite you in the butt later.

        • OneMoreInBoston says:

you know windy- I thought that too.

Go after Shrill’s enemy to prove loyalty so she won’t come after you.

Sort of like giving an offering to the Incan goddess of death or she’ll cut off your head and play soccer with it.

well, let’s see if that’s the case.

Bethenny’s friendship killed at the altar of Public Relations.

      • marcy says:

simon is drunk and a nasty one…and hes so bloated from the booze

    • BlueSky_Forever says:

Maybe B is tired of Silex trying to get on her show, be more “friends” than she wants. I would side with B on this one. Silex is having tough times. Simon lost his job, maybe Alex isn’t making enough money…who knows. Silex admits to social climbing & I don’t think B cares about hanging with the “upper crust.” Personally I’m tired of all of them – Silex, Jill, Luann, Kelly – except for Ramona. Ramona’s crazy is still entertaining. She was giving B good advice last night about how to handle too many demands. Ramona said something very wise, that the opportunities will always be there. Bethenny seems to worry that she will miss out it she doesn’t do everything. Clearly Bethenny needs to learn how to balance her work & family so she doesn’t miss out on Bryn & Jason. Hopefully she will slow down & enjoy the fruits of her labor with her family for once.

    • Nancy says:

I think Simon does have a drinking problem and because he doesn’t have to show up to the Hotel anymore I bet he’s drinking more now and Bethenny’s comment was a little too close to home.

  24. VAgirl says:

    • WindyCityWondering says:

We can only pray that the editing gods do their job to show her as she really is and not how she thinks she is…..again!

  30. VAgirl says:

I can’t stand Joy Behar, but I did like how she kept calling them out about whether it’s staged or real. Jill lied again when she said her fight with Bethanny was to create more drama for the show. Yeah, right.

  31. Sha2000 says:

Chocolate? It tastes like very bland vanilla to me. I’m still stuck here, iPad dead on to my phone now, thank goodness waiting for the car is boring!

    • HD says:

I knew this show was going to bomb and be just plain stupid. Who wants to sit around and watch a bunch of rich people act dumb when it comes to their kids? Being a new parent means you get advice from family and friends but you pretty much have to figure it out. I promise some people have too much damn money because they use it in ways that are so stupid. In this economy with parents struggling I am not about to watch some rich, new parents stumble over themselves racing to the finish line of stupidity!

  32. Sha2000 says:

Well I’m still waiting since 9:30 arghh! On to having to use my phone now, and it’s freezing here and I’m getting hungry…still better than driving with my window motor broke and the window down I guess.

  33. PJ says:

Wow! You were hard on Simon. Simon has a right to his feelings and this isn’t the first time Bethenny has mentioned his drinking. I think his point was that Bethenny drinks too so why call him out all the time. The way she said it was insulting, she wanted to see him get bombed for her amusement. I don’t know why disagreeing with Bethenny or taking issue with something she says means turning to the dark side. We all have friends who irritate us from time to time. The fact is Bethenny does take cheap shots; she is usually pretty funny so she gets away with it, but she does it. If Bethenny can dish it out she should be able to take it. Simon and Alex have not been on Bethenny’s show that many times and I’m sure Bravo wants them to be on or they wouldn’t be on.

As for the breakdown. Jason shouldn’t push a BD party on Bethenny but she gave him mixed signals. She went to see the party planner and she picked the menu and went over the guest list with Jason. If she really didn’t want a party why do all those things? She could have just said no, lets keep it to family, but she didn’t do that. Once Bethenny was at the party she could have been gracious, at least to Jason. She didn’t do that either. I felt bad for Jason because Bethenny isn’t normal and there IS a normal. It only makes Bethenny feel better about herself to believe that there is no normal, but it’s a load of garbage. I am a fan of Bethenny’s but she needs to change. I understand where she is coming from but she still needs help. What is she going to do if Bryn wants to throw her a party one day jump out a window? The time to freak out was before the party was planned not at the party, she stepped all over Jason and this kind of thing will eventually damage a marriage. Bethenny seriously needs help.

    • marcy says:

thanks for the input JILL go back to bed bath and check those sheet sales

    • Kukulet says:

“…this isn’t the first time Bethenny has mentioned his drinking. ”

When else has she mentioned it?

      • viki55 says:

She mentioned it at her wedding, in front of everyone.

        • LynnNChicago says:

She mentioned it at her wedding because Simon started YELLING at the top of his lungs as she was trying to cut the cake with her new husband. Simon made it impossible for her to ignore him.

She said he was wasted, and he was.

          • BlueSky_Forever says:

that outfit he wore to B’s wedding said it all. Half skirt? So so desperate for attention Simon. I stopped following him on twitter because his tweets were stupid. Sometimes I like Alex, usually when Simon is not around lol.

          • Sha2000 says:

I don’t remember that, I believe you but I don’t recall it, was it shown or on her blog?

            • Sha2000 says:

Being smashed at the wedding that is…

            • BlueSky_Forever says:

In BGM? at her wedding Silex & Ramona & Mario were there. Simon’s outfit was strange. Maybe in the video vault you can find a clip of him from the wedding. He even said something like “half a skirt, half a man?” & he was so drunk. Blech.

              • Sha2000 says:

Thanks. All I remember was the kilt…I’ll look. BTW, I think wearing a kilt when it’s not expected (they were not in Scotland and to my knowledge Simon is Australian) is one upping the bride in a way (beautiful bride! Forget the bride, look! There’s a dude in a skirt!) isn’t right & his wife should have pointed that out before they left their home. The tweet to defend himself though, is still alright in my book.

                • Crimson Rain says:

For what it is worth mcany Australians are of Scottish decent. It is rather common for Scots to wear kilts to formal or even semi-formal occasions. I know, my husband is from Scotland – full Scottish blood, and he wears a kilt on occasion – a formal full dress kilt for formal occasions and a lesser kilt – everyday kilt for more casual occasions; both in his clan taratn. I think that they are sexy as hell 🙂 But not as sexy as the accent!

Maybe Simon is of Scottish decent, who knows? My son wears a kilt every now and again. He has two – dress and casual. I think he looks cool. He is, however, only Scottish by proxy – he IS Irish though – about 75%..

                  • Crimson Rain says:

                    Sorry about typos, Yikes!

                  • PJ says:

There is nothing wrong with wearing a kilt. My sister has a son adopted from China and in China they don’t differentiate between boy colors and girl colors so for a boy to wear bright pink is perfectly acceptable. People have different cultural expressions and tastes. People also tend to see things differently in European countries than they do here. Simon’s mother may be Scottish and wearing a kilt may be something he doe because of his heritage. With a name like McCord Alex is most likely Scottish or maybe Scots Irish. So what’s the big deal? Some people are way too judgmental.

                • kbinldo says:

Men of Scottish descent are known to wear kilts on formal occasions.

                  • Sha2000 says:

Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against kilts or Scottish traditions! For the record I’ve traveled well and I am open minded and respectful of all cultures. That said, my opinion on the kilt…this is a guy who’s been photographed wearing red patent leather pants & purchased a burlap “feed” (I am aware of the back story, message & philanthropy attached to the garment-good intentions) bag gown for his wife to an event. My point is, his fashion sense leans towards the avant-garde and prehaps that is a worse offense than drinking at an event that alcohol is served…in this case the wedding. Why make a fashion statement at someone else’s wedding? May be I’m wrong, just how it appeared given his fashion history. Also for the record, my husband wears pink shirts too, not unusual….red patent pants, not yet.

            • WindyCityWondering says:

He matched the cake at Bethenny’s wedding and he wore the kilt/skirt to Ramona’s renewal ceremony – he is one hot mess plate o fashion!

I don’t recall that happening at all.

Lol, me either! Seriously, all I remember is a bride peed in a can at the Four Seasons. Nothing else. I bet she regrets filming that little gem.

    • VAgirl says:

Not sure that I agree you are a fan of Bethenny’s and not sure I agree that you know where she’s coming from, but I respect your opinion. And she is getting help. Have you read her book? It might help you understand where she’s coming from better.

      • PJ says:

I do understand her but I also understand her husband. If she went to the point of letting him have a party for her she should have been gracious to him at the party. It’s not like she didn’t help with the party. Otherwise she should have stopped the party before it happened. She has to be in control and that’s a problem. Micro managers push people away and drive their loved ones crazy. She needs help for the sake of her family and she knows she needs help or she wouldn’t be seeing a psychologist.

Being a fan of Bethenny does not mean that I agree with everything she does. I don’t agree with the way she handled herself at the party and I don’t think she liked the way she acted either. I felt bad for Jason. The people in life that tell you the truth are your real friends not the yes men. A yes man is no one’s real friend.

If this board really is a place where you can state your opinion, then why are some so critical if you state an opinion that is different from others? Calling someone Jill when they give an honest opinion is just stupid, unless they say something really terrible like the person who posted saying that Lynne was ugly.

    • LynnNChicago says:

PJ There have been several things pointing to Simon and Alex turning to the “dark side” this is just the latest in a long line.

Simon and Alex are both (in my opinion) trying to prepare viewers that they’ve made amends with Jill. The “test” of how viewers/fans will react seemed to be the Twitter incident with Simon helping Kelly on Twitter. Fans weren’t happy about it and if its true that Alex and Jill are all good now, I personally don’t think that fans will like it.

I may have been hard on Simon but I think he was a hypocrite, he tweeted basically, “look at me, I’m on Bethenny’s show. yeah!” then when she made a small joke about him he turns on her. What Jill said about Simon’s drinking was a lot worse (IMO) than what Bethenny said. Simon saying that Bethenny’s got hidden reasons behind everything she says was also trying to make Bethenny sound calculating and vicious.

      • PJ says:

Fair enough. I hope it’s not true because it will be disappointing if it is. I agree that Simon should have just made a joke of it and then he wouldn’t get this criticism. But I have to be honest with you what Bethenny said would have hurt my feelings if it had been said about me. How many times have we seen Ramona sloshed, and has Bethenny ever called her out like that? I think Simon was happy to be on BEA and then when he realized what was said about him behind his back and he was hurt. That’s a perfectly human response.

Yes I completely agree that what Jill said was worse but then everything Jill says is mean and you expect her to be mean. I can see how what Bethenny says would hurt worse than what Jill says.

The fact is that we tend to put these people into a box so to speak, and if they act in a way that isn’t in keeping with the box we put them in then we get upset. But they are not one dimensional they are real people. For that reason I want to wait and give Simon a chance, to see how this season plays out and to see why he may have made certain choices that may prove to be unpopular. Who knows at the end of the season of RHNY I may agree with what some are saying. But I’m going to wait and see for myself.

        • quincyil says:

I think his reasons are valid.

I also hate knowing that he is with Jill Zarin.

I am conflicted about the whole mess.

          • PJ says:

I hope he just made peace with JZ not a friendship. He may have felt pressure because of not having his job at the hotel anymore and he needs this job so he played the game. That’s just speculation of course but that I could understand. Sit back it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

        • Kukulet says:

“How many times have we seen Ramona sloshed, and has Bethenny ever called her out like that?”

C’mon, seriously? Bethenny has called Ramona out a number of times about being sloshed. “Ramona was on her 46th Pinot Grigio since lunch”, “Ramona’s renewing her vows, she’s renewing her buzz, etc”, “I want to vampire her ass and suck the buzz out of her veins”. And so forth. All of which are no more or less offensive than what she said about Simon – the difference being that Ramona never went into a tizzy about them.

    • Nancy says:

      I agree with you.

  34. HD says:

Of course the day I am off they would be showing Miami. Murphy’s Law.

    • viki55 says:

Hey girl….I might have missed it…..what were the contest results??

      • HD says:

Hey Viki. I didn’t win but my good friend did. I posted on the blog a few days ago and thanked all of my Lynn Fam for voting for me.

        • viki55 says:

Well dang, but good your friend won! I haven’t been able to keep up lately. I know what you mean about the day-off Bravo watching. I got lucky last week and got to see last season NY, would have sucked had it been Miami!

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Miami has a vibrant, multi cultural personality, many accomplished, wealthy, interesting women and so much more to show viewers than many other locales. Bravo should have left this franchise on the shelf because IMO, they didn’t capture Miami or give us housewives worth watching!

      • Sha2000 says:

I think they got half the cast right, Kristy, Adrianna, Larsa need to go and in that order!

        • alicia says:

I was surprised to learn that Christy is a special education teacher. I have volunteered in my friends’ class and that takes a whole mess of patience. We never saw her supposed “store”, either.
Adrianna should have never moved in w/ her boyfriend.
The constant begging for marriage was sickening. The man better want to marry me more than I want to marry him. I on this will concede to JZ point LOL.
Larsa is incredibly spoiled and always concerned about looking cute. Give it up girl, there will always be some 20 year old cuter than you !

          • Sha2000 says:

“He hung-up on my face, he hung-up on my face!”
“Why did you hang-up on my face?”

Hmmm, no. He hung up, no face involved.

“My shorts aren’t short, tee hee hee”

Right. A quarter inch higher is for hookers.

Everthing that comes out of her mouth is so snotty, yuck!

Jill Zarin is retweeting Simon van Kempen…

    RT @SimonvanKempen Don’t forget to tune in now for @TheViewTV to see @McCordAlex, @RamonaSinger, @CindyBarshop, @JillZarin & @KellyBensimon
    7 minutes ago via Twittelator

She must get he tweet thread so you know she is in heaven today enjoying the hit on Bethenny.

This is more evidence that Simon and Alex have moved into the Jill Zarin camp.

I bet you will never see Simon and Alex on Bethenny’s show again.

    • VAgirl says:

They don’t really add anything to B’s show anyway, IMO.

      • BlueSky_Forever says:

He detracts from Alex imo. Kinda sad, because sometimes he has been witty & fun to watch. The rest of the time not so much & when’s he’s drinking it is painful to watch.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

I like Alex one on one with Bethenny but Simon does nothing for that dynamic. Alex and Simon have much riding on this season as they are smart enough to know it is likely the last – and there must be some Bravo party line they are towing. First he helps out Kelly and now he slams Bethenny. Maybe Alex wasn’t home when Simon tweeted last night because common civility is a good thing.

  36. TLM says:

Given a choice, I’ll take the dog, Jill!

Ok, no I won’t. But I would take Ally out of that crazy Liberace, Versace, La Cucarachie apartment.

Why is Jill wearing an evil eye necklace now? Oh, that’s right. Jill is angelic, and she needs to keep that outside evil away. But check out how when she greets Victoria, she insults all other dog trainers. Oh, hell to the no! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mxnvodhd240

Jill said in the clip that “when I come back, I want to come back as Ginger” because Ginger has a great life, sleeps until she wants to get up and does whatever she wants. Excuse me, but …how exactly is that different from Jill’s present life? Oh, that’s right, Ginger didn’t turn on her best friend and stab her in the back. Ginger however, was humiliated on national tv like Jill (when she pooped all over her apartment).

    • TLM says:

Ginger pooped all over the apartment, that is. Brad pooped all over it when he did the redecorating.

  37. boston02127 says:

Great blog Lynn. Thanks. I enjoyed BEA last night, esp the end.

About Simon–I’ve never liked him. He’s too much of a girly man. I don’t know what Alex sees in him. I stopped following him on Twitter because of his non stop tweets. Does he have a real job? Last night if he would have tweeted “who doesn’t like to get bombed at a party” it would of ended there, but he becomes defensive when it comes to the subject of his drinking. Must be a reason why….it’s called a drunk.

Gotta fly. Will catch up later. 🙂

    • LynnNChicago says:

Good point, I agree if Simon had played it off as a joke that’d have probably been the end of it.

    • FlowerPower says:

I agree, Boston. He could have handled that differently and it would have been over. Cracks me up though that what he tweeted made some people say he must have been drunk when he was tweeting. LOL. And implying that Bethenny had some deeper meaning just made me wonder what we didn’t see–that is, what does she know about him that we don’t. He kinda fanned the smoke and yelled, “Hey, look, there’s a fire!”

    • quincyil says:

I don’t think Simon is feminine. I think it’s cultural and he is more British than you know. He was raised in Australia, but born in Great Britain and his first wife is in Great Britain.

My dad and brothers are men’s men with the hunting and sports thing happening. My husband is more like Simon. He loves classical music and would never touch a gun.

I see people as people and they can do whatever they want to do as long as it doesn’t harm someone else. So…Simon likes fashion. A lot of men like to dress well. Simon gets attention from the red leather pants, the half kilt, and spangles. He is doing it for the attention.

      • Miss Katherine says:

i agree it could be a cultural thing, but my dad is british and during the few times he’s walked in on RHONY and seen simon, he’s been appalled.

  38. WindyCityWondering says:

I loved the getting ready for Skating with the Stars part – she has a fun relationship with her partner and the little good luck necklace from her friend was sweet. So hoping we get a talking head on the Johnny Weir channeling Jill Zarin judging behavior….Bethenny tried so hard and for him to dog her week after week really pissed me off.

  39. I wonder what happened to Simon’s web show. Originally, it was supposed to premiere in February, the same date that RHONY was supposed to premiere. As of last week, Simon didn’t know when his show would be available on Bravo’s website. I wonder what’s going on with that.

    • quincyil says:

It’s coming. Simon tweeted that he didn’t know the date, but it will be in the NYC time frame.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Well, Shawn has a webshow running with BEA – maybe Simon’s show will start up once RHNY begins. While I love his blogging style, not sure I want to watch/listen to him pontificate on any subject. If his show gets into RHNY then I definately won’t watch as his opinion and constant trying to inject himself into RH is Kelly Creepy – and I would feel that way no matter whose camp he is in!

  40. Rumorfix is claiming that Bethenny is going to get her own talk show. I hope this is true!

    • quincyil says:

She’s been talking about it a lot and that was why she wanted to move move to LA. They can film a talk show in LA or in NYC so it will be interesting to see if she goes out there.

If Jason’s parents are retired they can visit often.

      • quincyil says:

BTW… Jill’s bubble just popped. She was having a great day retweeting Simon and enjoying Bethenny’s controversy with Simon. Now this. rotfl.

I think Bethenny should invite all of us to her show in NYC. We will wear cloths, not too much makeup and have group photos taken.

        • indy anna says:

Quincy: How about having our t-shirts with Bethenny sayings by then and show up in them, en masse? “Bethennyites take over NYC” will be the headlines. What great fun to finally meet each other.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

She now has the funds to be bicoastal. Jason and his parents have some hard choices to make now. Next season of BEA will be interesting.

        • quincyil says:

I bet they will film the next season right away so she can leave if she is going to move to LA.

3 seasons of a reality show is long enough.

          • vilzvet says:

Yes, congrats to Bethenny, I’m sure this is accurate since a company name was mentioned, and I would think she is absolutely going to film this in LA. Her wish is coming true!

        • alicia says:

She should buy a home that has a guest house for the in-laws.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

hmmmm….that explains the recent we work together remark on Ellen. Wonder if she will do something along the lines of Rachel Ray – talking and cooking.

      • quincyil says:

That should be interesting. I am not a fan of talk shows these days, but I will record Bethenny’s.

    • error404 says:

ha! I read this quickly and thought you wrote: “Ramona says B is getting her own talk show” LOL

If I know B, s3 of BEA will be all about preparing for this new talk show. Yeah, she isn’t exactly lying when she says she show is just about her living her life, but really it’s all just marketing and promotion that she’s smart enough to get paid for instead do paying for. If it’s true, who wants to bet the new show premiers right on the heals of BEA’s finale?

  41. Amber...RealWife says:

Simon’s defense is suspect only when he said there’s a hidden message. Au contraire, it was quite obvious. You like to drink and get bombed like countless other party guests including Bethenny. Due to editing we only saw her comment on Simon. Do you think she didn’t say the same about Ramona, Jason’s friends and her friend Teri if she’d known she was coming? B’s in the booze business, she’s not against drinking and was just being funny. Simon could’ve easily said “Says the Margarita Queen, or Says the girl with the Margarita IV, or she drinks so much her blood type is Margarita, or Skinny Girl Diet… Sensible breakfast, plus 2 Liquid meals Margarita Style!” followed by Happy 40th birthday! See no harm, no foul. You make a funny and clear your name. B would’ve laughed it off! But I agree with most others, the bloom has fallen off this rose and it seems the friendship is on life support or the plug was yanked like they would a lawn mower! O V E R Just like any typical friendship that starts on the job and dies off when no longer working together. Nothing nefarious about that folks.

    • Nancy says:

It is obvious to me that the RHONY have all united. Deep down they have come to terms that without Bethenny they really don’t have a show. This is how they are dealing with it.

      • error404 says:

ITA. I can smell the desperation. While I have no doubt that the former co-workers have grown apart as we all often do, most people don’t unite with their co-workers to slag off the former friends just because she left. The harder they try to convince me that RHoNY survived B’s departure, the more I’m convinced it didn’t.

        • WindyCityWondering says:

ITA – they have hyped it too much and tried to say it was good before retooling it. Smells foul to me.

      • Amber...RealWife says:

Bethenny needs to do the Tony Montana/Scarface soliloquy … “I’m the Bad Guy!” She’s moved on, has her own successful life and is being hated on because she didn’t come back to a toxic situation where Jill, Kelly and Luann are against her. Why go back when she has a new husband, baby, her own show, a powerhouse brand and millions in the bank? For an ulcer the size of Poughkeepsie? “Adios lunatics, See you on the red carpet!” said Bethenny as she left smoking hot skinnygirl footprints in her wake.

    • OneMoreInBoston says:

I actually disagree. (I know Amber big surprise right?)

I don’t think they were ever real friends I think that they formed an alliance. They both have chosen tp break that alliance because they are forming new alliances. Who are those alliances with? Simon’s is with Jill, and B’s? not sure maybe moving onward and upward and feels like her association with Team Silex may damage her in some way. Maybe just trying to move past the RHONY.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

When you throw a traumatic event (Scary Island) into the mix the shared experience can bring employees closer together into an alliance. The dynamics of RHNY changed with Bethenny leaving and alliances shifted. Truthfully, I don’t give a rat’s ass who Simon has an alliance with – if Alex doesn’t have her wingman then shame on that famewhore husband of hers! IMO, Jill had a big hand in Simon’s “career” change and while I wish he was insulated from her influence for his family’s sake, he is a butt kisser if I ever saw one.

      • Amber...RealWife says:

@OMIB I agree! Shocking right? They were “work friends” whose job was to interact at social events. Therefore they were compelled to invite each other to private events some wouldn’t invite all their co-workers to. Also because the crew was so small, any non-invite or declined invitation was a definite slight and cause for drama.

  42. Nancy says:

Did you see what Shrill was wearing on The View? Did I tell you she would be sitting right next to the Host? She really does think she’s the star. Bravo needs to medicate Kelly every time she’s on the promo tour. Better yet put her into a “I love me” jacket and just let her sit there.

  43. WindyCityWondering says:

Loved last night when Bethenny had her don’t know what to wear panic attack – her wearing her Skinny line cammie was priceless. Jill had to be unhappy. So maybe JIll demanded that her new friend Simon do something about that girl. Then, he gets offended by the getting bombed remark and off goes his silly twitter tantrum.

  44. OneMoreInBoston says:

When my brother and I were a teenagers, we used to play this game: What If Everything Wrong is Really Right.

What if Bethenny really is calculating and vicious?
What if what Jill said in that one article is true- Bethenny wants to erase the RHONY from her resume?

now, does Simon’s reaction make more sense? kinda does to me.

Don’t worry- I still hate Jill! Well maybe just really dislike her…

    • 2Stupid says:

Does she really have that many warm and fuzzy feelings from her castmates. I thought Ramona was very sensitive to her father’s death last year, but other than that, they were mostly viscious. Jill’s behavior last year would erase any good memories I had with her. I would be grateful for the platform to market my products, but I would kind of want to leave in the past as well.

      • Nancy says:

I think we are all forgetting that Kelly really did “go Postal” on her. What do they expect? Of course Bethenny’s is glad she’s out of there.

    • error404 says:

Except the end result is the same. She won and they are the silver medalists whining about how the gold medalist isn’t all that. Even if it’s not how you feel, the 2nd place finisher always has to pretend to be happy to be the runner-up or else the public will turn on them just as they are turning on the RHoNY cast. They have no control over B being 2 faced or manipulative or a cheater. But they do have control over how they react, and they are being sore losers.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

Being a sore loser is not an attractive character trait – especially when you want the public to accept you and/or your products. How hard is it to congratulate Bethenny in public and then go home and privately trash her?

      • Nancy says:

You are wrong, Cookie got the Silver.

    • Kukulet says:

I don’t think Bethenny wants to “erase” RHoNY from her resume…she did it, it helped her, it was a great stepping stone…but she’s clearly moved on. Why should she continue to revisit it publicly or privately? For her, it’s yesterday.

  45. 2Stupid says:

Read Zill’s comment at the end re Bethenny wanting to remove RHNY off her resume. This is the crux of all of their problems with Bethenny. They are bitter that RHNY was a mere stepping stone to where Bethenny wanted to go. She’s not looking back and they all know it and can’t stand it. I bet Silex is bitter as well, especially always having to defend the show being good without Bethenny.

  46. Kukulet says:

Okay, I’m really interested in creating a t-shirt with Bethenny sayings on it. But I need help to gather the best sayings. Can you all post the ones you remember?

  47. Simon’s latest tweet:

    • KookADoodleDo says:

Is Simon trying to drum up drama just to bring attention to the season premiere?? The comment made last night on BEA was no different than the many comments that cast members have made about Ramona and her Pinot.
The subject of his alcohol consumption seems to be a sore spot for him. Hmmm I wonder why??

    • WindyCityWondering says:

The remark with his calling Bethenny out MO style – implys justification for what he tweeted. As far as that making him Team Jill – hmmmmm, maybe speculation here just hit too close to the truth. Simon does read this blog. Simon is intelligent. Simon realizes that being nice to Jill will likely make it easier for his wife to film with the monster but in the end – no way does he like or trust Jill.

    • PJ says:

I agree with Simon. People can be so quick to jump to conclusions without really knowing what’s going on.

  49. WindyCityWondering says:

Watching Bethenny at the end of Reunion Part Three – she sincerely thanked RHNY, Bravo and Andy for everything – that doesn’t sound like someone who wanted to erase anything from her resume. Now Bethenny is going into season three of her solo offering for Bravo. If anyone wished they had an eraser it should be Bravo and it would be Jill being erased! Honestly, if Bravo had gotten rid of Jill (and Kelly) I would be truly curious and interested and eager for this season!

There are some things I have gone through that made me uneasy about my birthday and about New Years and Christmas (and other non holidays actually). Focusing on those holidays, I know that I can’t enjoy them as much as others do, I do try and I actually doing much better about them. I actually don’t even talk about it anymore, I am now to explain also that I SOOO GET Bethenny. I am also uncomfortable with being center of attention so add that to my reasons.

I know that with the new life and the new people she has now, she will do SOOO much better about her birthday and other things.

I wouldn’t be surprised if poor Bethenny was worry there would be some kind of surprise related to her mom or something like that. I also wouldn’t be surprised that she was having a hard time ONLY because of the whole HUPPLA about her birthday. Maybe if there had not been a party, she would have had a nice day without or with less bad memories in her mind.

I also think that Jason was insistent on having the party because it was the big 40, and as her husband he wanted to do something special. He kept thinking that B’s problem wasn’t that bad, so I agree that his heart was on the right place. Either way, I don’t think she will have a party like that again.

I LOVED the creative way of celebrating her birthday in the tab – that was sooo cute. I was thinking that if they had done that first, have her enjoy her day her way with them only first. Then later have the party, even on a different day. She could have been more relaxed about the big party.

Okay, if I keep writing I will use up my lunch break and I want to go back to read the comments 🙂
    Thanks again Lynn.

P.S. What’s up with Simon? And how good of a friend is the girl who Jason flew in for the party? Both made unnecessary comments to or about B. Not licking them right now.

  53. Adgirl says:

I hate birthdays too. I totally get Bethenny’s reaction. But I felt terrible for the Hoppys too!
Bethenny’s mom probably became angry if Bethenny expected attention on their mutual birthday. Bethenny witnessed her friends having wonderful fun on their birthdays but the message to Bethenny is she doesn’t deserve the same treatment at home.
I think Jason is an awesome guy. His parents are saints (although they are understandably needy). I’m sure they all were shocked & hurt by Bethenny’s reaction to their gifts. Her emotions are way out of their league. The Hoppys create situations that they think will make Bethenny feel normal & loved but it always backfires for being too intense.
It bothered me when Bethenny totally ignored the brooch. Jason’s mother must have picked it out, or maybe it was a family heirloom. Carol always seems to get dumped on the most.
I hope Bethenny is showing us all of this behavior so we get to see them in season 3 learning to accept and accommodate each other without the hurt feelings.

    • 2Stupid says:

I thought she went up and hugged Mrs. Hoppy later and thanked her. I saw her thank Mr. Hoppy for refinishing the dress model. She did say some very nice things about them in her blog.

      • California35 says:

Yes, she did 🙂 I thought it was nice of her to do that becuase they meant well. She was feeling bad because she wishes she was enjoying her birthday more for them. That was sad 😦

  54. California35 says:

I agree about Jason being normal or not. I am not saying he is not, but what is normal really. It depends on who we are too. For example to me Bethenny could be the normal one because I identify more with her than Jason. I need to clear up that I like Jason, and I am happy for B. In no way I am saying he is not normal or that I don’t like him. I like him and his family very much and I am glad B has love and attention from all of them. I hope they all understand her and don’t get tired of her., not because she is bad but because she is different then they are. Ay! I don’t know how to get out of this one now…lol I like them all – but who says what is normal?

  55. elisa says:

I think Jason has good intentions, but I think he’s offensively opinionated and insensitive. From the beginning, he insists B’s party is his too because they’re a couple. I totally, profoundly disagree. Everyone can have their own birthday, Jason. In his toast, he says B didn’t want a big deal, but he’s her hubby so damn it, she’s getting one. I realize he was trying to be sweet and generous. But that was so like Cynthia’s proposal–all about the hubby and disregarding of the wife’s feelings.
I know he’s trying to be a great hubby and I appreciate that. But he just doesn’t seem to have a clue that B is entitled to her feelings, perceptions, wants… He seems incredibly arrogant and clueless. I hope he figures it out.
As for B being whiney, etc, again I disagree. I thought she was incredibly open in considering Jason in the planning. And I thought she fought her feelings valiantly and tried to enjoy the party. But she failed. I do not hold that against her. It bothers me that in her show, developed to showcase her life, she is called whiney for talking about her experience and feelings, both good and bad. Seems really unfair.

    • OneMoreInBoston says:

there is a weird dynamic with them sometimes.

      B. acts like she hit the jackpot when she met him- and while Jason’s a great guy, I think HE hit the jackpot with her.

      • California35 says:

I agree and I have tried not to say anything — so now I did 😦

But I do understand why she is saying/thinking that. She was probably so over the guys she was meeting that she was done. Then she meet this nice guy, who is also attractive, who is also understanding, etc etc…that she thought FINALLY!

Then of course time goes by and they need to learn and understand and try and yada yada. I think that she still thinks she is lucky, and she is. He could have turned out to be a crazy lunatic laughing at her when she crys or fights with her when she whines.

Going back to your coment 😛 I think they are both very lucky. They both are doomed 😛

        • OneMoreInBoston says:

very lucky and very doomed? LOL

well as long as there’s hope for them…

          • California35 says:

lol I was just writing too much so I used that word to make it shorlol
Meaning they are both lucky because they both have great qualities and they both give each other lover, etc.
Domed…I meant they both have things to work on, they both things the other has to get used to.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

Jason did hit the jackpot and so did his parents – Bethenny gave them a grandchild and married their son (two things they never thought would happen).

    • California35 says:

      Agree 🙂

    • Zoey says:

I think I agree with you; well said.

  56. If you had it like this says:

Guys, I don’t think Simon and Alex have moved over to the “dark side”. I’ve said it before..they have to film with them and if JZ was apologizing then Alex is a gracious enough person to accept it. If she didn’t she would be behaving just like JZ! I don’t think there’s any love lost between Alex and Simon and JZ. I noticed Jill tweeted photos of her and KooKoo and Cindy and Ramona tweeted photos of she and Alex today from the View. I think there is still a divide between them but they have to play nice. Bethenny has had the luxury of having her own show and she doesn’t have to make nice with Jill or ever see her again. I don’t think we want to see the kind of ire from Alex and Simon that we see from the Jersey girls like Caroline and Teresa. I think Jill and Kelly and Luann still despise Alex and Simon. I think Alex and Simon simply tolerate them. I noticed on the View today that Ramona said that Alex really defended her in Morocco and went after the brunettes. There is still a coolness between the two camps, IMO.

As far as Alex and Simon and Ramona being on BEA, I’m sure it’s producer/Bravo driven. I doubt they are inviting themselves to Bethenny’s events. I do think Simon likes to get “overserved” on occasion but I doubt he’s an alcoholic. His marriage and their children seem to happy and well adjusted for him to be an alcoholic. I have to say, that if Bethenny had made fun of me the way she has always made fun of Simon I would probably get sick of it. If you like Bethenny’s personality you’re going to say, that’s just B and her sense of humor… if you don’t like her you’re going to think her behavior is assholish.

    The end. 😉

    • California35 says:

I hope they didn’t move to the other side, but I can imagine that they have to tolerate the “other side”. They work together. I also hope they are not being attacked constantly either by the other side.

The Simon and Bethenny thing, who knows why Simon made the comment.
He could have done it just to get attention, because he was in a bad mood, because he is concern people think he is a drunk, because he has heard one too many joke about him, who knows. I didn’t like it. I took what B said as a joke, maybe if she had also included someone else in the joke, Simon wouln’t have taken it as bad. Like Simon and Ramona get lit up, or Simon and Jason are fun when they drink. I thought that is what she had meant…that she needed something to take her mind off the stress or tension.
I agree with what you said “If you like Bethenny’s personality you’re going to say, that’s just B and her sense of humor… if you don’t like her you’re going to think her behavior is assholish.” I was thinking I was in the middle because I like Bethenny but I also like Simon.

      • If you had it like this says:

Yeah, I like Simon too. He and Alex have grown on me over the seasons. I’ve always been hot and cold on Bethenny since the first season. Sometimes she absolutely cracks me up and sometimes I think she’s a neurotic jerk who tries too hard to be funny by making jokes at other peoples’ expense. That kind of humor is not especially witty to me. It’s like shooting fish in a barrel.

I do think Alex is going to get attacked by Jill’s henchmen, Kookoo and the Countess, this season. I just hope she can defend herself without breaking out in hives this year!!

    • PJ says:

Even if you like someone a lot sometimes enough is enough. Bethenny is funny but she can wear thin.

  57. lovemamaearth says:

==I guess it is ok for Jill Zarin to tell the newspapers that Simon is a “falling down drunk” but if Bethenny says that Simon likes to get bombed at parties, she’s the bad guy.==

I suspect that’s why it’s a touchy issue with Simon, just like birthdays are touchy with B.

    • PJ says:

Maybe Simon doesn’t care what Jill says. Because Jill is mean and she says mean things. Maybe he expected more from Bethenny.

  58. terry aley says:

Cynthia Bailey is doing modeling for a plus size website! Bills don’t pay themselves! 🙂 http://tinyurl.com/4xt3zue

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Good for her! She is a striking woman but she looked so out of place in that swimsuit show and she looks fine in these photos – and bills don’t care how they are paid.

    • HD says:

      And? What’s wrong with that?

  59. California35 says:

I am placing some order for gifts to send on behalf of the company. One of the baskets is full of chocolates….I keep thinking, can I please send myself one 🙂

  60. AZ Girl says:

Alex just tweeted something about “she needs to own her behavior etc” I am assuming that she is referring to Bethenny. Someone on Twitter help me on this.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Ramona managed to get plenty of face time on last night’s episode – and we even got a nice shot of Mario. Simon got a talking head shoutout but Ramona didn’t. So whatever slight Simon and I guess now Alex perceived is getting to be annoying. It isn’t their show, it isn’t even a HW show so maybe they need to reflect on that fact and be happy that they were there because Andy had a guest list and was crossing over familiar faces right before RHNY starts airing!

She’s talking about Jill on the View this morning. Jill was saying she thought her fight with Bethenny was a ‘wink wink” fake fight. BS. Alex was just saying she needs to own her behavior before she can change. I am telling you guys. Alex and Jill are not buddies.

      • butterisafruit says:

I think you’re right. Alex is holding her ground. WTG Alex.

      • LynnNChicago says:

take a look at the video from The View that I posted a few comments down

      • PJ says:

I completely agree. I don’t for one second think that Simon and/or Alex have become friends with Jill. They may have made peace so that they can all film together without Kelly having to be locked in a padded room and Jill foaming at the mouth over having to work with them, but that’s all.

    • NormaJean says:

No someone asked Alex if she thought they were too hard on Jill on the View.

    • AZ Girl says:

Thanks everyone. I appreciate clearing that up.

  61. BambiBaby22 says:

I am thinking that maybe Simon got so upset over the comment made by Bethenny becuase he thought they (alex and simon) were closer to Bethenny than the others that she has been snarky about (like when u convince urself that ur snarky friend only talks about OTHERS behind their backs and would NEVER talk about u behind ur back)
On Scary Island, it seemed like B and A were pretty close and perhaps over the next weeks or months Alex opened up to B about certain things that Simon does (drinking?) and Simon never expected it to be brought up by B in public. If that is the case, I can see how Simon would be offendedd.
This is JUST a theory, I have no sources to back it, it is just a theory.

  62. caustic broad says:

OMG! OMG! Lynn, I hope I am writing this in the proper place as I am so freaked out right now, and I am usually a reader of your blog rather than a writer, but I am soooo hoping you will be blogging about the new show “Pregnant in Heels” I taped Bethenny at 11:00 I thought, because there were too many things at 10 PM for my DVR to handle and rather than “Happily Ever After”, right now I am watching “Pregnant in Heels” and OMG, OMG, OMG, these people are NUTS!! I am only like 10 minutes in to it and I had to pause to see if you wrote about it today!! I am sure someone here has mentioned it already, but I didn’t have a chance to read everything here, or even your Bethenny blog yet. I do not have ANY children, but OMG I can’t believe how disconnected this couple that Rosie is working with is! I have more sense than these people that are 4 weeks away from their due date! Please Lynn, you have to write about this insanity!! I really can’t believe what I am watching!!! OMG!!

    • LynnNChicago says:

YES! Actually Quincy will be writing the re-caps but I already have my comments prepared after last night, that was unreal!

      • caustic broad says:

LOLOL! Thanks Lynn. At least they came around by the end of the show, but the baby namers?? Wondering if they will ever be invited to any more parties after people watch this. They seem a bit Salahi (sp?) when they speak with such superlatives about themselves! Love your blogging Lynn! Thanks for so much entertainment. Can’t wait until Thursday night. I fell in love with IHJZ last summer during RHONY. YOU ROCK!

      • TLM says:

http://www.samanthaettus.com is the one who says in her bio that she was the “first to open an agency specializing in personal branding.” She’s also a columnist for Forbes and a Harvard grad. But I guess none of that qualified her to choose a name for her own offspring.

I would think her inability to take on that task, since she herself is the client and a self-proclaimed branding expert, would be bad for business for her personal branding agency.

  63. error404 says:

Oh dear God up in heaven! Catching the tail end of RHoMi, They’re being treated to this really lovely day on an organic farm with a celebrity chef and they are all acting like the most ignorant bitches, I just want to puke. Between all of the whining and complaining, one of them actually asks “What does harvest mean?”. Are you f-ing kidding me?! Why does Bravo think really stupid mean people are entertainment?

    • alicia says:

I wonder if this was filmed during our incredibly hot summer last year. It could have been unbearably hot that day- especially out west where the farms are in Miami. Truly you feel like your brain is being boiled. Even Lea brought a portable fan so she knew what to expect! But they should have sucked it up
and pretended for the sake of the hosts.

      • error404 says:

Well, yeah, but I also think (hope!) that they were kinda kidding. Otherwise, hot or not, they were horrible. The really annoying one married to the ball player at one point says “Why would I pick vegetables when I can just buy them in the store!” LOL

    • Sha2000 says:

Right Error…who asked? I remember thinking “what”????

      Well said Alicia!

    • error404 says:

Kelly: “and if anything goes wrong, I stick up for them”
      Jill; “Huh?”

LOL and once again, Jill Zarin speaks for a nation!

    • AZ Girl says:

What the heck was Kelly talking about????? Why is she not able to following the conversations?

    • Kukulet says:

      Alex looks really good.

But, OMG, Kelly is stupid. She’s just inane.

“The hair removal is a-mazing. Seriously. You realize you used to spend all this time in the shower, and now you’re wondering, ‘Why am I in the shower?’ It’s in-credible. A-mazing.”

Just out of curiosity, how does a Brazilian hair wax translate to not ever needing a shower?

Go wash that greasy, ratty mop you call hair, wackadoodle. Please. We’re begging you.

      • LynnNChicago says:

But what did you all think of the Alex/Jill kissy face?

        • error404 says:

ha! As soon I saw it I thought “Oh that’s what Lynn meant by her ‘don’t watch after eating’ comment!” LOL

        • AZ Girl says:

For the show. A tease for the upcoming season. Why they think this is going to breathe life into the HWONY without Bethenny is really strange. Everyone is looking a little desperate to keep this show from being DOA.

        • California35 says:

Alex speaks and Jill makes face ugh.

It is so exausting trying to listen to these ladies. One is trying to anwer the question and two others are talking to each other at the same time. Can they do it on their own time? Show some respect….Kelly just
bla bla bla … wow this was just behind the scenes so they probably didn’t think it was that important…but still they were being recorded.

          • If you had it like this says:

I know, right?! Jill always makes faces when Alex talks! It’s like she has zero respect for her and then she fake air kisses her! And silly little sweet Alex plays along… seems like Alex just wants to get along with people.

        • Kukulet says:

I kinda need a shower myself after that one.

You know, I’m all for burying the hatchet and letting bygones be bygones when someone is genuinely making an effort to improve shoddy behavior…but I don’t see where Jill is doing that.

She’s constantly sniping and trying to provoke Bethenny via the media. She’s never owned Amazongate. She’s removed herself from blogging on Bravo-unlike the other housewives, who put themselves out there to take the lumps. She still blocks people on Twitter-a lot of them simply people who also follow Lynn but have never said a bad word to Jill. She deletes any post on Facebook she views as even slightly negative. She’s still whining about last season being the result of “editing”.

And she recently dismissed her disgusting behavior towards Bethenny last season as being “faked”. Well, which is it, Jill? Was it “faked” or a result of “editing”? Can’t be both.

The fact that Jill hasn’t apparently changed at all off camera pretty much indicates that we aren’t going to see any changes on camera, either. So this kissy kissy attitude towards Alex – I ain’t buying it. I hope Alex really isn’t, either.

        • PJ says:

It looked fake. They have no respect for one another.

        • firepainter says:

      • OneMoreInBoston says:

Kelly was talking about Laser Hair Removal. Because even if you get a Brazilian wax, there is still regrowth so it’s not completely smooth.
So if you want a completely hairless feeling, you still have to shave “down there”

      • TLM says:

“Just out of curiosity, how does a Brazilian hair wax translate to not ever needing a shower?”

Come on, isn’t it obvious? Brazilian hair wax is to not needing a shower as one-night stands are to unprotected sex.

See? When Kikilet is allowed to speak, it’s perfect.

    • If you had it like this says:

OH.EM.GEE. What a bunch of fake BS! Honest to God, Kelly is just off her rocker. When she starts talking about how Ramona and Jill have known each other for twenty years even they start laughing right in her face. She just makes stuff up. It’s unreal. Ramona is something else. She said Alex looked horrific season one! You gotta hand it to her for saying it right to peoples’ faces!

Alex looked happier than I have ever seen her before. Radiant smile.

I am glad she is happy. I really think Jill Zarin won. I looke at all of the evidence and the people that this blog supported are now with Jill Zarin.

      • caustic broad says:

What?? people who supported IHJZ are now fans of Jill Zarin. or are you kidding Quinc? How or why would that have happened? Kinda been out of the loop a bit here, I am not understanding.

        • Kukulet says:

No, Quincy said “the people that this blog supported” – in other words, people such as Alex & Simon that Lynn and others here supported when Jilly was shrewing them.

        • quincyil says:

The people this blog supported in June and July were Simon and Alex. I did a lot of research and I believe that Alex made an agreement with Jill Zarin before Christmas and Simon is now at peace with Jill also.

Lynn and this blog supported Alex and Simon right after the reunion when Alex and Simon were really angry with Jill Zarin. Now, they have moved on to have a form of an alliance with Jill Zarin.

I keep hoping that I will see something to make me doubt my conclusions, but everything that goes on just confirms them.

          • I agree with you Quincy, I think Simon and Alex have crossed over to the other side.

          • caustic broad says:

I know what you are saying but I think once the viewers start to watch the season and how everything starts to unravel, things always seem to shift. Jill Zarin will never change, she’ll always be an annoying yenta who thinks the world owes her a living and if Alex and Simon are that fickle, then they deserve the Jill Zarin treatment -the talking behind their backs in her interviews which she will surely do. JZ, Alex and Simon and frankly all of the casts of the RH franchises, obviously their days are numbered, as is RHONY (I just CAN’T wait to see what they’ll be doing when the show ends…LOL) but Lynn will be adored by who ever she blogs about. Lynn will certainly be around longer than RHONY. It’s really a pity that reality “stars” don’t realize the power of the internet let alone the influence of a fan/blogger. Not that I think Lynn ever has played favorites, but I believe most people would agree, that she calls em’ as she sees em’ and is fair and equal, unlike Shrill Zarin and her idiot puppets she employs to watch dog her Facebook page.

            • quincyil says:

I think Lynn is honest and plays no favorites. I really liked Alex in Season two and three. I actually like her now even if she had to make peace with Jill to survive.

I hated that fake kiss out of the blue in the video though. I have dealt with people like Jill over the many years. They never change.

Speaking of…..I got one in my email today:

An old married couple no sooner hit the pillows when the man passes gas and says, “Seven Points”. His wife rolls over and says, “What in the world was that” The man replied, ‘its fart football”

A few minutes later his wife lets one go and says, ‘Touchdown, tie score” After about five minutes the old man lets another one go and says, “Aha. I’m ahead 14 to 7”

Not to be outdone the wife rips out another one and says, “Touchdown, tie score” Five seconds go by and she lets out a little squeaker and says, “Field goal, I lead 17 to 14”

Now the pressure is on the man. He refuses to get beaten by a woman, so he strains real hard. Since defeat is totally unacceptable, he gives it everything he’s got, and accidentally shits in the bed. The wife says, ‘What the hell was that?’ The man says, Half time, switch sides.

I can understand Simon being upset with what Bethenny said about him get drunk. It was not a nice thing to say, but I don’t think Bethenny said it to be mean. I just don’t think she gets “it” sometimes. She reminds me of a 17 year old boy who just says things, even about his friends, and doesn’t think about what comes out of her mouth. Also, I don’t think Twitter is the place to vent your frustrations. Simon should have called, e-mailed or texted Bethenny to talk about it. That’s just my opinion.

Funny how it’s got everyone talking about all of them 2 days before the premier of season 4 ;).

I will put comments on the board like usual. I really enjoy being a member of this discussion board.

Oh, HD, I just saw your comment on earlier blog and I am so sad that you lost. I know, a friend won but I so wanted you to be the winner! You will always be a winner here.

I could relate a little to Bethenny last night. On my birthday I get nervous when people sing happy birthday to me. Sometimes I get so nervous to the point that I tear up and hold back crying. Being the center of attention makes me nervous.

  72. boston02127 says:

HD–I got my Shea Butter today in the mail. It looks like cookie dough. It’s marked 100% natural. I have it on my elbows now. I like it, no smell and not greasy.

    • HD says:

I am cracking up! Cookie dough! Yep! That’s the real thing. Now you know you only need a LITTLE BIT! Don’t go lathering it all over you! 🙂 A little goes a longgggggggggg way. Just take a little bit, smooth it over your face AT NIGHT so it will soak it while you sleep and trust me, just trust me, in about a month girlllllllllllllllllll your skin will look so refreshed!!

    • vilzvet says:

You would love this place in NYC right near Penn Station called Lush (www.lush.com). My daughter the aesthetic student always has to buy something there if she is in the city. They make all different types of soaps, etc. for different types of skin, some perishable and have to be refrigerated. Sounds like your cookie dough. Great stuff.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

So now Teresa is a “fashion writer”? Seriously? These two won’t stop bilking others even if they are put in prison!

    • LynnNChicago says:

WOW whoever wrote that article clearly doesn’t have a good understanding of the English language, it is an old article and written by someone who has no idea what they’re talking about.

How Teresa got on the show is still a mystery? No it’s not! lol Teresa is a “fashion” writer? No she’s not! The entire article is way off base, other than slamming Teresa which I support 100%, they haven’t got any facts straight.

  75. Zoey says:

I can’t believe I actually watched the pregnant in heels show last night, and didn’t hate it!
Watching the Miami housewives now trying desperately to stay alive! It’s just a bicker fest. Andy has little control. I kind of am enjoying watching Adrianna make a fool of herself since I find her so terribly conceited. I’m not rooting for anyone but I guess I don’t dislike Marysol.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Had my fill after 5 minutes – low budget “reunion” for a failed franchise. Didn’t any of their parents teach them to be quiet when someone else is talking?

  76. Zoey says:

Maybe Simon is encouraging all the talk of alcohol issues (we’re talking) and is setting the stage to go on the celebrity rehab show. Not sure if he’s actually a celebrity, but if what’s-her-dc-face could get on it I suppose he could too.

  77. Nancy says:

Simon is smarter than all of us put together. He is laying down the foundation that he does have a drinking problem and we fell right into his trap. He knows when Dr Drew hears of this problem he’ll be invited to Celebrity Rehab and get paid 250 thousand bucks for 3 weeks’ work. For Simon this is like hitting the lottery. He gets paid well AND gets to be on TV. After finishing rehab he will be asked to go to “Sober House” and make another $250 thousand and of course be on TV. I wish all of this was a joke but it isn’t.
When Dr Drew starts helping homeless addicts in down town LA I’ll be impressed.
To me there is something wrong when addicted celebrities get paid that kind of money to receive help when us “regular” folks can’t get treatment because it’s too expensive.

    • Zoey says:

Geez, they get paid that much? Wow, I didn’t realize that. If he really does have a problem, he’d be a fool not to sign up! Maybe he could also talk Kelly into getting some help.
I live for the day, probably one day far into the future, if ever, when people near and far will hear this huge, unexplainably loud, explosive ‘GASP’, and it will be Kelly, somewhere, finally ‘getting it’. An ‘Ohhhhhh, I see’ moment.

My sleeptime meds are kicking it so I better sign off….I might not be making too much cents, ha…..g’nite.

      • Nancy says:

I forgot one thing…if these celebrities relapse they get to come back for another $500.000. I’ll relapse for that kind of money.

  78. California35 says:

Ok I am thinking, and I know it is too good to be true, but hear me out.

There are SEVEN wives, we don’t want Kelly or Jill ther any more. They both did hints at affect Bravo, yer they are both back. We don’t understand WHY? But they are syllable coming back….what if….. They will be on only forna few episodes, or one only. I thought of that before, but they have been in pictures and they all went to Morocco, so my suspicions went away. Now for some reason it came back to me. What if Jill’s comment about redeeming herself (sorry Ramona said that not her) about coming back to show the real her (although we have seen e real her, but moving on). Basically her intention is for us to change our mind about her, and we will like her. Things still don’t work out her way, so she … Wait for it!!!! Quits!!! What donyou think. Remember that she says that she “can’t do this” that “she didn’t want this”. I am sooo hoping that she will quit on camera, making history, making it a shoking moment on the show, and that in her mind is great TV, and gives her this idea that she was in control.
Of course, she needs to be part of the interviews about the show because she had to act as everything is still the same, to make sure her quitting is a surprise.

Ok – my dream is over….

Oh and Kelly, she is probably not going to have much camera time.

  79. Zoey says:

Yeah, these folks on Baby in Heels or whatever this show is called, must be either be actors or this is scripted….Can there really be people like this?? If so I’m sooo glad I’m not them.

  80. Vesper says:

I saw a really fast glimpse of Andy at B’s party standing by Ramona, or right behind her during awkard toast.

Love the way Bravo tried to make it look like her guests COULD hear B wailing through that closed door, they showed people glancing that direction and making odd faces of concern, whispering to each other, but it was just random shots they threaded together. Kinda mean..

So Lynn, why do you think the friendship cooled with Alex and B since the time you met Simon and Alex?

    • error404 says:

I know! That was classic Bravo. Their tag line should be “mountains out of molehills!” LOL

I also love their other classic device. They edit a clip and release it.
Person A: “I was in a car accident!”
Person B: “What a stupid bitch”
then we spend days discussing “WTF is wrong with person A, person B could have been killed. So rude!” etc…
the show aires and it’s like
Person A: “I was in a car accident!”
Person B: “OMG! Are you ok?”
Person A: “Yeah, I’m fine. Some woman was talking on her cell phone, not wearing her glasses, not looking where she was going, and plowed right into me after having three cocktails with lunch.”
Person B: “What a stupid bitch”

I hate when they play us with cheap tricks.

Bethenny Frankel Getting A Talk Show!
“According to new reports, Frankel signed a deal with Telepictures, the prod company behind Ellen & Lopez Tonight, and her show is currently in development.”

    • California35 says:

Nice!!! She has been a guest in both a few times. Both Ellen and George seem to like her and they treat her well 🙂

    • quincyil says:

I wonder if people here have any ideas for Bethenny’s show. I think she would listen.

  83. DJ Loops Fruit says:

off topic please sopmeone tell me you watched miamis reunion live
Ive never laughed so hard in my life those women were going NUTS
oh how i wish Mama Elsa was there

    • quincyil says:

I watched it and I like Adriana and Lea Black. Andy had no control.

    • quincyil says:

Did you see that they went after Momma Elsa after that dinner party. She really tried to get out of the conversation, but Larsa would not stop. I don’t think Momma Elsa was drunk at that party. She has an accent and speaks slowly because of age.

I think Miami has the potential to be just as big of a train wreck as NJ, Altanta or OC. I like Marisol, but she is quiet. I think we need some ladies as housewives and the difference is good.

Adrianna was right. If everyone had been honest that show would be bigger than BH.

I loved the gallery scene with Adrianna. I have a lot of friends who are artists and you really don’t import someone from France if it is a one man show. On the other hand, the artist needs to have his art ready for the show.

I wish my paintings took seconds and I could get money for dripping paint onto a canvas.

I love art. This was a great addition to the housewife franchise. Andy already kissed them goodbye, but I would watch the women again.

      • DJ Loops Fruit says:

heres the thing Andy hasnt really kissed them goodbye i have it on good authority thatt they are preparing season 2 as we speak
i wish more here had watched the entire series as it really was much better then NJ & DC combined

yes andy did lose control last night
was sort of fun watching him with that face of a deer caught in the headlights LOL

        • quincyil says:

You can’t control women when they are upset. They will say and do anything.

Andy looked frightened. When the camera would go to his face, I laughed. You did this Andy. You gave these women one hour on Scary Island. LOL.

I liked “Pregnant in Heels.” It’s a different demographic this time. This show is directed towards grandmothers with young grandchildren. Any baby is interest to this demographic. We want to buy polar bear rockers and easy to fold strollers.

Andy went for grandmas living in the prairie with this show.

        • error404 says:

” it really was much better then NJ & DC combined”

Ha! That’s setting the bar mighty low IMHO. LOL Diabetes may be better than cancer, but I still don’t want it.

    • Kellita says:

I watched it. What a low-budget circus! They just kept screaming over each other. I wish Andy could have made them shut up when one was trying to answer questions. He looked like he had no control and could care less, and was just biding his time til the hour was over.

Marysol is the only likeable one, imo. I cannot stand Adrianna (is that her name?)- the loud one who kept dropping F-bombs.

      Buh-bye, Miami. I won’t miss you.

      • quincyil says:

I am going to adopt Adrianna and become the Lea Black of this board. Error404 will love the nude outfits that I will wear in my gravatar.

I think Bravo failed to advertise this show and when they inserted it into the NYC slot, they hurt the show.

        • error404 says:

Yes. Still enjoying the lingerie photos in the barn you PMed me. 😛

        • Kansas Girl says:

You can totally do a Lea Black, but you’re going to have to start saying “I don’t care what anyone thinks of me!” to preface every remark.

Will you be wearing your nude outfits over other clothing?

          • quincyil says:

That is the beauty of this nude clothing fashion, you can swear sweat pants and an old tee shirt under these fashions and people still think your are naked. These New Yorkers are absolutely brilliant.

I have some really great photos from 40 years ago, Error. I can take them out of storage and share them with the planet Earth now. We call these vintage fashions and they are popular again.

I have swim team photos from the U of I competitions too. 1971.. Racey…suits…. rotfl.

Hey, if Kelly Bensimon can share photos 20 year old, I can share photos almost 40 years old.

    • Kansas Girl says:

I loved it too. It was like turning loose the wolves. Andy should do that for all the reunions. I laughed all the way through. Nothing much got resolved, but then it never does. So to heck with filming for hours and editing. Andy saved a lot of editing money by doing this and it was every bit as entertaining. I loved how they immediately went after each other, talked over each other to the extent you couldn’t understand any of it, defended themselves and each other even when it wasn’t their argument, “misunderstood” (or avoided?) questions by totally answering something else, and Adriana having to be bleeped for long strings of cursing was just icing on the cake. I loved it.

  84. VAgirl says:

Good morning, all. No I didn’t watch Miami reunion or any of the Miami shows. Sorry. I’m glad Bethenny is getting her own talk show. Maybe she can get a more manageable schedule that way and won’t be going hither and yon all the time and can have more “down” time. In her book I noticed in one instance where she said “when” she gets her own talk show rather than “if.” Maybe she already knew something we didn’t. LOL

    • HD says:

Bethanny is getting a talk show? What the hell did I miss?! Uhhhhhh I hate being out of the loop!

      • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

I am always out of the loop too. Is she going to have 2 shows at once now?

        • HD says:

I thought she might be getting a show when she was talking to (read fawning over) Rachel Ray. 🙂

      • VAgirl says:

Yes, it’s upthread. The same company that does Ellen and Lopez Tonight is developing it. I think she’ll probably do a quick 3rd season of BEA (maybe the storyline will be about her preparing for her new show) and then do the talk show afterwards. I think BEA may be over after season 3. Just speculation on my part.

        • HD says:

Okay. I just saw it. Good for her. Do I have feelings about it, of course I do. Do I rain on parades, of course I don’t. More power to her.

I do agree and I would HOPE AND PRAY that BEA is only one more season. Enough is enough. You know sometimes you gotta let people miss you.

    • error404 says:

Still nothing from B. Just two gossip items on online sites. The Perez article just said it was being produced, it never mention what network if any was entertaining picking it up. I wonder how Andy feels about losing one of his biggest stars? I don’t think Bravo does talk shows.

As for “Do you think Bethenny deserves a talk show?” … I think she deserves it just as much as anyone else. Unless Joy Bayar and Wendy Williams are some kind of talk show nobel scholars that I don’t know about. Did Tyra Banks have a Phd in talkology? Most hosts seem to be former stand up comics, so….

  85. dsc60 says:

kelly is going to be on the nate ferguson show. it’s on now 3pm EDT on channel 5. i’m going to TRY and watch if i don’t get ill and have to change the channel that is.

  86. Powell says:

I don’t think it was the Big “40”. If she didn’t have Jason and Bryn, then it would’ve been the issue. On the previous episode when Jason said he’s always live his B-Day parties it just brought up the fact that her parents didn’t make a fuss over her B-Days. Just bad dysfunctional childhood. She’s never experienced family making a fuss the way Jason and his parents do.
Now Simon just needs to climb off the ledge and relax. He knows B was only having fun and teasing him since he is the life of the party. Maybe B should just apologize and say she wasn’t trying to be mean. Maybe he’ll calm down.

    hi all!

love this blog! found it last time this year when i could not believe my eyes and ears
that someone like JZ and the Kray is actually ON TV!!!! I actually googled I hate JZ and found this blog!
Love the blog and all of you. I have never commented (dont want to admit my reality tv addiction :)).
    Three things:

    1. Someone PLEASE make the t-shirts with Bethanny’s comments!! Will buy all of them.

    2. Should Virgin islands sue BRAVO and/or KrayKray or JZ for calling it Poison island/Scary Island?

    3. I like Jason….but the bday party…..he was trying to be a “housewife husband”…..just a little bit, no?
I LOVE the fact that here is (finally!) a young, good looking, gainfully employed person married to a HW….dont do the Reality TV shit, Jason honey!! Have your own life!! Thanks for sharing your personal life with us. But dont make the show your business. The best part is that you provide the *outside*, normal person perspective on these
narcissistic shows!! Please stay a little outside… please?

Lastly, the day that Jason quits his job to work with/for B……..I think I am sort of….done. B has used, and should use this intrusion into her life to get her career to the next level….but two people promoting their business on TV???? Its like that horrid decorator/flipper couple with 8 kids that were on ….last year??? Insufferable.

  89. prof addicted to reality tv says:

oh my word!! you need to start real time tweeting on this blog!!! 5 mentions of B within the first 5 mins of S3………………I need people to talk to!!!

  90. prof addicted to reality tv says:

I cant even watch WWHL………..its physically painful to hear JZ. I will borrow a phrase from KrayKray…………”She has knives on her tongue”.

  91. prof addicted to reality tv says:

So….the latest story from JZ…………the producers have turned against her and put words in her mouth. Words that she said to *them*….not to the camera. Ok. The words were terrible. Why were you saying them to anyone?
