IHJZ Real Housewives of Orange County / Watch What Happens Live / Celebrity Apprentice

I Hate Jill Zarin Real Housewives of Orange County & WWHL    Celebrity Apprentice

Andy Cohen  makes his three wishes every Sunday night on Watch What Happens Live I have three wishes too:

1.  I wish  Jay Mohr would take over hosting Watch What Happens Live every week.

2.  I wish Donn Gunvalson would take his wife Vicki and put her over his knee and spank her butt good!

3. I wish that Jay Mohr’s first guest on WWHL would be Gary Busey.

The Real Housewives of Orange County

Vicki Gunvalson is a hot mess!  Bravo’s longest running housewife seems to be the only one who can watch herself living her life on television season after season and still not see what is wrong with her behavior.

Ever since we met Vicki in 2006 she has been a working woman and admired for her work ethic by fans of the show.  Over the years it has changed from a woman who had a home office and was building her business to an obsession, she can’t see that this business has taken over her life and is ruining her relationships with her family.

Last season she insulted not only her cast mates but she insulted her fans by acting as if she is the only woman in the world who works as hard as she does.  This season it has become the only thing in her life that she has any passion for, her family, in particular her husband have become a nuisance in her life.  The divorce that Vicki is facing is clearly a result of her choices.  Producers seem to have no choice but to film and air this woman working because that is all that she does.

The show opens with Vicki making a great decision, she is spending the day with her family out on a boat relaxing, her husband Donn, daughter Briana and son Michael board the boat and off they go.  Soon we learn that Vicki brought along some of her employees and begins to discuss work.  Vicki becomes annoyed with her husband when he laughs at a joke that her son made.  Her perfect son isn’t in the doghouse for making the joke but her husband is for laughing at the joke.

Vicki’s face becomes a stone and what could have been a beautiful day with her family becomes a waste of time and money but worse, in Vicki’s mind it solidifies her decision to spend more time at work and less time with her family.  Vicki says she is respected at work but not at home and with that she justifies the ridiculous amount of time she spends at work away from her family.

Vicki’s daughter Briana seems to have learned to enjoy herself despite her mother’s attempts to ruin the day.  She works hard but is off work the next day so she has a few cocktails and is having a great time.  Vicki doesn’t enjoy seeing her daughter having fun, instead she warns Briana of the alcoholic DNA that she was born with, Briana tells us that Vicki does this all the time.  I can’t imagine why poor Briana wants to move away from her mother.

We learn that Vicki stays at her office until well after typical office hours and she tells us that she actually gets mad at midnight when she has to go home.  This is not a well woman.

Donn visits her at the office and you would think that the man was a delivery guy who brought her the wrong sandwich, he was interrupting Vicki, she treats him as if he is dog poop on the bottom of her shoe.  Vicki snaps at Donn that their dog cannot spend time at her office anymore, she shoves the dog’s things at Donn and turns her back on him.

Over the years We’ve watched Donn Gunvalson being kicked around and verbally abused by his wife.  So many reports of Vicki’s cheating can’t all be false.  He’s never so much as raised his voice on screen and always seems to forgive Vicki for the horrible treatment he has received at her hands.

It seemed last season as though she finally realized what an amazing husband she has and she planned a vow renewal and a beautiful vacation.  All those years of putting him down on camera and putting her work ahead of her husband seemed to be behind them.

Something has gone very wrong and my theory is that Vicki has lost all respect for her husband because he has retired and is enjoying staying home and relaxing, Vicki is telling us that she has to work this hard to keep her house out of foreclosure.   Vicki seems to view her husband’s lack of ambition as weakness.  Is Donn just a lazy man who refuses to work and lives off of his wife’s hard work or has he worked hard his whole life and ready to enjoy retirement? Either way this marriage is doomed.

The most talked about scene in tonight’s episode has to be Vicki’s inappropriate spanking of her office manager.  Vicki’s employee deserved a reprimand for leaving the office for lunch and not returning but a spanking is not the way to do it.  If Vicki is going to run a business, she has a lot to learn about employee relations and human resource laws.  When Vicki announced she was going to spank this girl, the employee gave a nervous laugh but that shaky grin turned to terror as Vicki got up out of her chair and walked toward her.  The look on this poor girl’s face was horror as she realized Vicki was really going to hit her.  Vicki apparently thought she could make it all ok by hugging her afterward and telling her it was “with love” that she hit her.  What?  I have a new found empathy for Vicki’s children and her employees.

Vicki’s employees all seem to be young, impressionable and inexperienced.  Vicki has been described as a control freak and this seems to confirm that, there is no one there to question her behavior.  Vicki would certainly not be able to treat a seasoned mature insurance agent the way she treated her office manager.  Her staff is all made up of people right out of college, she describes herself as “Mama Bear”, calls her staff “family” and treats them like children.  Anyone else see what she’s doing here?

Gretchen’s scenes tonight all revolved around her parents 40th wedding anniversary celebration.  We’ve been watching her plan this for what feels like years but it turned out beautifully, Gretchen did a great job taking her parents on a journey of their past beginning with renting a Ford Mustang just like the one her mother used to own.  Gretchen, Slade and the happy couple all went to the church where they were married and watched their wedding video then off to a winery to renew their vows.  Gretchen thought of everything and her parents looked really happy.

Slade Smiley seemed to think that Gretchen planned this day for her parents yet was envisioning her own wedding to Slade  but Gretchen tells us that she is still not ready to get married.  Gretchen’s dad tells Slade that Gretchen shot off her foot while cleaning her gun and is reluctant to clean that gun again.  Good analogy Mr. Rossi.

Peggy’s surgery went off without a hitch and her new breasts are all in the right place.  Peggy’s surgeon tells her husband that they’re never going to be 100% symmetrical but Alexis assures us that her doctor would have been able to make the magic happen much better.  Am I the only one who doesn’t care about Peggy?  Maybe it is because she seems to be just another filler Housewife that Orange County hired because they were down to just four housewives.  The revolving door of OC housewives has gotten old and tired.

I have absolutely no experience with breast enhancements but it seems to me that if Peggy’s husband could walk into an operating room and immediately notice that his wife’s breasts are two different sizes, it could be a problem.  I get it if they are a tiny bit off but it must be easily noticeable, right?  The surgeon insists that he has done his best.  Okedoke!

Alexis is going to make a complete season out of the fact that Tamra and Vicki brought mace to her Botox party.  Vicki has apologized and Alexis has accepted Vicki’s apology but Tamra’s text message explanation to Alexis wasn’t good enough and this is dragged out for another week.  Gretchen explains that it is simply a matter of Tamra’s poor comedic timing.  Get over it Alexis.  Alexis is not interesting so she’s going to create drama over the mace thing.  More to come on this next week…

Much of this episode was filled with Tamra’s trip to Spain with her boyfriend Eddie Judge.  There are very brief moments when I want to like this couple, Tamra tells us that Eddie has traveled the world and wants to show her the world.  Sweet, but Tamra manages to act like an ugly American visiting Europe, her vulgar mouth and constant references to sex make it difficult to watch.  Add to that Eddie’s inability to keep his lips off Tamra’s lips for more than thirty seconds at a time and the entire Spain trip is painful to watch.  Tamra is even seen pulling away from Eddie on a few occasions because the making out stuff just got to be too much!

The couple tried to recreate that famous scene in every romantic movie on the beach, the girl jumps into his arms and the guy picks up his bikini clad woman and spins her around, you all know the scene I’m talking about, but it turns out to be more of a “please don’t let me drop her” type of scene as Eddie loses his balance at one point.

Marbella Spain

Bravo shows us some of Tamra’s nasty low-class comments from the past as Tamra tells us that Eddie loves her for who she is and doesn’t try to change her.  Maybe a little bit of change wouldn’t be the worst thing for Tamra, eh?

Next week Alexis will confront Tamra about the mace in her handbag and Tamra freaks out because her ex-husband learns of her trip to Spain.

Watch What Happens Live

Andy Cohen welcome’s comedian Jay Mohr and Orange County Housewife, Peggy Tanous.  Some comedy is just what the clubhouse needed after the stench of Jill Zarin in that seat.

Jay Mohr was a breath of fresh air next to the stereotypical Orange County housewife sitting next to him, he was clearly holding back the dumb blonde jokes.

The game of the evening seemed fairly simply, Jay would describe women who have had breast implants and Peggy would guess their name.  Simple, right?  I’m not sure in what universe Peggy thinks that Charlie Sheen had breast implants but that was indeed her response to Jay’s clue.  The frustration that poor Jay felt came through as Peggy just kept displaying her stupidity all evening.

A twitter friend pointed out that Andy said, “pleased to meet you” to Peggy at the beginning of the episode and wondered if Andy wasn’t a part of the process of choosing the new Housewives or if he was merely trying to make it seem as though he’d not met her yet.  Andy did the same thing with the Beverly Hills Housewives when they first appeared on his show.  Had they really filmed an entire season without Andy meeting these ladies?

Jay Mohr did a great reading of a small portion of Luann’s book while impersonating Christopher Walken and admits that the Housewife that scares him most is Vicki Gunvalson, funny stuff!  He kept the show upbeat and entertaining, while guest Peggy Tanous’s comments seemed petty and childish in comparison.  She made a big deal over Alexis’ suggestion that her doctor would have been a better choice to perform her breast enhancement surgery.  If this is the worst thing Alexis does to Peggy, she should thank her lucky stars, has Peggy seen Jill Zarin in action?

Jay Mohr married to actress Nikki Cox best known for her role on Las Vegas seems to be the perfect guest to have on the show as they discuss breast enhancements.  Jay’s wife likes to display her surgically enhanced breasts every chance she gets too.

The controversy surrounding the WWHL Poll from Thursday night continues.  Jill Zarin lost that vote but now rumors are spreading that there was a problem with some of the votes cast by Sprint customers and that the voting was cut off after only 14 minutes.  Worse, Rob Shuter of Popeater now reports that attorney’s have gotten involved, that would explain why Jill Zarin posted then deleted voting problems on her Facebook page.  Really?  Attorney’s involved over a fan poll on an after hours cable TV show?  I wonder who brought in the attorneys?

Andy announced the new revised poll results on last night’s show, does it really matter?  Jill lost and was bitter, she still lost but now has cast a shadow of doubt over all these silly poll results.  Personally, I believe the original results.

Andy welcomes Sonja Morgan and David Arquette on Thursday night and Tamra Barney/Eddie Judge next Sunday night.

Celebrity Apprentice by Quincy

We are in the Trump Tower offices where Marlee Matlin is giving a gift of one million dollars to the Starky Hearing Foundation which provides services to the death and hard of hearing.  Many deaf children will be helped by this donation.   This is the largest donation to a charity in all of the seasons.

The team members meet with Mr. Trump outside in sunshine and 35 degrees to find that the sponsor of the next challenge is Australian Gold, a company that makes products for the skin and sun protection. Steven Hilbrink, his wife and the director of sales are there to help describe the challenge.

Melinda, the director, states that there will be a glass box 10’ by 10’.  They will be judged on creativity, brand messaging, and making the area around the box a part of the presentation in order to engage the public.

La Toya Jackson is the team leader for ASAP, the women’s team.  Mark McGrath is the team leader for Backbone, the men’s team.

Mr. Trump will donate $20,000 and Australian Gold will donate $20,000 to the charity of the manager of the winning team.

The men immediately decide their theme will be a pirates with treasure theme.  They will hire beautiful women and they themselves will pretend to be pirates. They wish that Hope, from the women’s team could represent them because she is the Playmate of the Year.

La Toya assigns Nene and Marlee to the creative committee.  They are to come up with suggestions for a theme.  She will send Hope to get the props.  Star will do the graphics.  Nene tells us that La Toya did not assign herself to any task. When La Toya is presented with ideas for the theme, she does not make a decision. The suggested concepts are on the beach and a person getting a suntan while delivering newspapers.

Both teams meet with the executives of Australian Gold. They are told that they need to use the products, they are shown some photos of previous campaigns, and they are introduced to Sydney the Koala Bear, the symbol of the company. Gary Busey tells the wife of the owner that he is “aroused “by the products. She does not appreciate this and the male team members note her facial expression.

The men are enthusiastic about the pirate theme and they assign tasks. Lil John is to babysit Gary and to pick up pirate costumes and props.  Lil John is unhappy. He says that he has to keep Gary out of the way of the other men so they can get the work done.

The ladies are getting palm trees, sand and will have painted models, male and female like the older ads shown to them by the executive. There will be banners with the product names and handouts.  Star complains that LaToya has no understanding of a budget.

Both teams go to the glass box/construction site.  The men give clear instructions that the box will be a damaged/beached ship and they beat boxes with chains to make them look old.   La Toya confuses the construction workers and when her team arrives they have to paint and they are not happy. They still are unsure of the theme.

La Toya calls the women who have gone to Lowes to tell them to bring 125 bags of sand weighing 50 lbs per bag for a total of 6,000 lbs. Marlee and Nene think this is too much and they ask Hope to confirm the numbers with La Toya. La Toya wants 125 bags. Nene says that if we win, the men sucked. On the way to set up the presentation, La Toya changed the theme to snow and sand. Now, some of the women have to get snow when they could help with the set up. La Toya has refused to allow Hope, the Playmate of the Year to be the model.  Hope offers and is rejected. La Toya wants Hope to help with the work.

The models are there for both teams.  The Pirates have attractive young women and a 3 ft. tall male actor dressed as a pirate.  He is carried to the site by team members. They have swords and make pirate sounds.

In addition to the gold painted models, Star Jones is there in a white fur coat as a part of the snow presentation. There are gold balloons and the products are placed on tables.

The women and men engage the public explaining the products and handing out free samples. When the executives arrive they have some experience promoting the product and she greets the executives.

There is a problem with Gary Busey.  He corners the executives from Austrian Gold and makes a pitch for himself as a representative for their company. They do not appreciate this, but are polite. Mark McGrath, the team leader has a problem with Gary who will not leave the executives alone. Gary actually pushes the team leader.  Finally, Gary is controlled and their presentation is completed.

La Toya tells the women that executives that the models are “Living the Gold.”

They return to the board room in Trump Towers to discuss their accomplishments. La Toya hopes they did well.  Nene tells Mr. Trump that La Toya was not a good team leader. She tells La Toya that she is 50 years old and that she benefits from the family name, Jackson.  Mr. Trump wonders why they did not use Hope as the model because using the Playmate of the Year for the product would be fantastic for Australian Gold.

Mark McGraff would have used Hope and he has a tattoo on his wrist that Mr. Trump does not like. Gary felt that they did a good job as pirates. Meat Loaf said they were outside of the box with the idea, “Treasure the moments, life is short.” Mark McGrath offers to be fired if the theme was a problem because it was his idea.  The other men want Gary to be fired because they are sick of listening to him. They also tell Mr. Trump that Gary used the word “sexual” with the owner’s wife in the instructions session.  Gary denies that he did that and he denies that he pitched himself as the spokesperson for the company.

The Australian Gold executives chose the women’s team as the winners of the challenge and La Toya’s charity, AIDS Project LA will receive $40,000. The executives did not like the Pirate Theme and they did not like Gary Busey pitching himself as spokesperson for their products.  The men did not use Sydney, the koala either. The women dressed Nene in a koala suit.  Their failure to use Hope as a model was discussed.

The women leave and after some discussion, Mark McGrath and Gary Busey come back into the board room to meet with Mr. Trump and his two children. Mark McGrath argues that Gary is a problem, but he had offered to be fired if the theme was the issue.  The pirate theme was not acceptable to the Australian Gold executives so Mark McGraff was fired.

Mark, You’re fired!

Mr. Trump admonishes Gary.  He tells Gary that he has to shape up and to watch his mouth.  Mr. Trump states that there were too many complaints.

Thank you Quincy!  Great job!  Lynn~

  1. HD says:

Hey Q. What is the tattoo that they guy had on his wrist and why didn’t Trump like it- just because it was a tattoo on the wrist or what it was a tattoo of?

    • LynnNChicago says:

I really couldn’t see what the tattoo was of…but I think it is just well known that Trump doesn’t like tattoos at all. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

      • Rabble Rouser says:

It was a nautical star. Mark McGrath is totally tat-ed up, he has full sleeves and a chest piece.

In the tattoo world, tats on the neck, face and hands- or very close to the risk are commonly called “Job Stoppers” because they can hinder employment opportunities.

    • error404 says:

just because it was a tatoo. They never discussed what it was, or even showed it on camera. Mark was making a comment and when he jestured with his hand, Trump just interrupted in that unprofessional terret syndrom way he has and went on a “I hate tatoos tangent” that just shows what a joke he is in real life business. It’s moments like this that make one understand why he always seems to have a soft spot for the crazy inappropriate apprentices that would be fired on day one in real life.

      • HD says:

I am sure more people sitting around that table had tattoos that just weren’t visible. Oh well.

        • error404 says:

Mark is a good looking guy who presents himself well, and was wearing a very nice suit at the time. His barely noticeable tatoo was no worse that John’s cowboy hat, Meatloaf and Gary’s penchant not to wear ties, or Lil’John’s dread locks. Trump’s a tool.

        • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

I have taz on my butt. lol I got it in 93. I love it cause no one can see it unless I have my bathing suit on. I think some tattoos are beautiful.

          • HD says:

Okay Baabee. LOL! I have four tats and multiple piercings. I just hide them all well. 🙂 I guess that guy thought his wasn’t going to be visible.

Lynn mentioned Brett Michaels and I am sure he is tatted up. I was having a conversation with this guy once and we were having a GREAT conversation. He was an older gentleman and he and I got into tats and he said he couldn’t stand people with him. I just smiled. Little did he know.

            • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

I Don’t think personal body art should have anything to do with a persons qualifications for work or anything else.
I would have another one if I could stand the pain again & afford it. Hubby has none & doesn’t want any. Most people have them to mark something happy or tragic in their lives. My first hubby refused to let me have one & when he died & I got one. It’s nobody’s business how people express their grief or their own style.

      • quincyil says:

I saw it. It looked green and had a pattern. We saw the palm side of the wrist and I assumed it was a permanent bracelet.
My impression was it was Native American. I can look this afternoon and see if I can see more.

      • alicia says:

I’m sure he wouldn’t appreciate it if my husband told his wife” I hate breast implants” in a business meeting. They are both artificial enhancements. It is amazing how many Europeans I saw at the animal kingdom hotel(@450 per night) sported tatoos, multiple tatoos.
I do think he probably will run a close race for the presidency,
on cnbc this morning he sounded very credible.

        • DJ Loops Fruit says:

seriously who would vote for that tool
Ps Jimmy has 14 tats including one on his skull that you only see if he shaves his head
Myself i would never get one dont like em and like most men have no tolerence for pain
speaking of which jimmy said the least painful was the skull the most painful was ankle

    • Noreen says:

Last year on the CA, there was an opening scene with Donald and his youngest son, Viscount, Duke, Barron or Prince (I can’t remember the kid’s name) and he is sending him off school and tells him “no alcohol, no drugs, no cigarettes and no tatoos.” I noticed he did not mention sex. I don’t care much for Donald, but he and his various wives have raised wonderful kids.

      • Lavalady says:

My 18 yr. old son just got 2 tatoos. Not sure how I feel about them. He is a surfer, so one is waves on his forearm, inside, below the elbow but above the wrist. And the other is on the arch of his foot. It says “In between dreams” the title of a Jack Johnson album. Sigh

  2. HD says:

Peggy-I thought it was just me but her breasts looked uneven on WWHL. That sucks to go through that surgery and still come out with breast that are uneven. I see Alexis made sure to get her dig in.

Vicki-Vicki has no respect for Don which is why she acts the way she does. Any time you lose respect for someone you can consider it lost. I did not know Don retired I thought he just was not working. If he has retired, now is the time to enjoy his life and I don’t blame him. I so wish I could tell Vicki, true life is not about the abundance of things. While it is nice to have nice things, those things should not rule us. Vicki allows her job or truly her need to have a certain lifestyle make her forget about the life that she has. She will never truly be satisfied because she is not yet satisfied with herself. This all probably goes back to her first marriage when she was not working and going through a divorce and she probably felt out of control and vowed never to give someone that much power again when it came to her finances.

Thanks for the new blog Lynn and Quincy!

    • Kukulet says:

I like Donn. I think Vicki was fortunate he put up with her as long as he did. I also think he should get together with Jeana. They clearly like each other. 😉

I don’t believe she “has to work” to pay her mortgage. She probably has to work to pay for all the other crap she purchases and expenses that SHE generates, like her office space, etc. If Donn retired with any kind of golden umbrella, it would probably also cover the mortgage payments and provide a comfortable, not excessive, standard of living. Donn hasn’t filed for bankruptcy since they split up, so I’m guessing he’s got some retirement income and is managing quite well without Vicki’s financial support.

      • katiecoo says:

Now THAT would be a great resolution–Don and Jeana. Oh boy. I find it absurd when Vicki talks about how she doesn’t get “respect” at home when she treats Donn like a servant–I guess the fact that he at times breaks out and wants to be treated like a family member, God forbid husband or basic human being is “disrespectful” to Vicki. As in “can’t find good help anymore!” mentality. It’s time for Vicki to move on from this show. And yeah she can take Peggy with her who’s just kind of an odd blank slate–not pretty, not unattractive, not memorable , not even as flavorful as “vanilla”. More like “plain yogurt”. She’s nice enough, just not interesting. Vicki on the other hand has worn out her welcome. Even Narcissists get boring when you are listening to the same broken record.

      • alicia says:

I think they are still paying two mortgages.

      • lovemamaearth says:

I think Don had started a new job in the last couple seasons so I’m not sure what could be golden. I hope he does well, whatever it is he does and I’d love it if he and Jeana got together too. I think they’d both appreciate each other.

    • quincyil says:

There was a discussion with the surgeon about a dent from the 20 year old sacs. I think that one had shifted and probably affected the breast tissue leaving scarring.

    • ilovelynn says:

and acceptance from that weird mother of hers that is always putting her down. I hope don finds a nice woman that appreciates him, who the hell would want vicki?

    • jillz68 says:

I am glad you mentioned the new boobs on Peggy. They DO look uneven. I even called my husband out of his office to take a gander.

    • cali says:

there’s this: “Not Money, but the LOVE of money is the root of all evil!” This encaptures Vicki accurately.

  3. error404 says:

Latoya dodged a bullet with this one. She made so many critical errors, just as many if not more than Niki made in the camping challenge, that I can’t for the life of me think of who she could have taken into the board room with her had they lost. Still, she obviously did enough right to win, so kadooze to her! The most correct thing she said all episode, was her disparaging critique of Star.

I often have trouble following Trump’s logic. I suppose it is “just business” but at times liek these, I have a hard time not thinking Gary is kept because he’s good tv and Mark let go because he’s normal and therefore dull tv.

    • LynnNChicago says:

I think you’re absolutely right, Busey is still there only because he brings the crazy.

Mark’s mistake was saying he should be the one fired, once he said that he looked silly trying to walk back from it and throw Busey under the bus. Once he said that he was toast.

  4. Andizi says:

Jillousy is a sore loser. The poll was 78% Ramona and 22% Jillousy. Come on Andy Cohen, don’t be a coward when Jillousy and Bobbeeeeee threaten lawyers! Grow a pair!

    • plainviewsue says:

I find it unbelievable that Jill and Bawbee might actually consider a lawsuit. She is just too much.

Jill, you are hated. Get over it!!!

      • ramonacoaster says:

Jill knows there’s always a poll on WWHL. What makes her think she’s bulletproof? That poll was designed to let the air out of Jill’s ego. I think Andy knew Ramona would win. Nobody likes her. It’s must be like high school all over again for Jill. And she will never learn why.

      • 7and7is says:

Plainviewsue…. Plainview LI?? me, too only I got stuck going to Bethpage high
oh BTW, I hate JZ, too

    • kbinldo says:

I’m still scraping my jaw off the floor with the whole “lawyers got involved” thing. I have a Sprint phone & have problems voting in the past, but not every time. I didn’t vote on Thursday (tho my instincts told me I should) because I was laughing too hard at Jill’s circus outfit to pick up the phone.

      • Nancy says:

So does everyone agree that the producers have Jill’s neck on a stump? Is Andy really happy about that? I’m still confused that they let Jill act like this. I would have fired her a** yrs ago.
        I CANNOT STAND THIS WOMAN!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. error404 says:

I wouldn’t be surprised if Andy never met these women. Correct me if I’m wrong, but my understanding is that these shows are all created by their individual production companies and then pitched to Bravo to accept (RHoAt) or reject (The A List) or in some cases (s4 RHoNY) send back for an overhaul. It’s the individual companies that hire, fire, edit unflattering etc… so Bravo probably has some influence, like if they said “Get rid of that crazy Bensiom chick before we all end up sued!” the production co would probably listen so that they can keep their show, but ultimately the decision to keep her on is their’s not Andy’s.

    • Kukulet says:

I think you’re right. Andy Cohen might manage the logistics of broadcasting each program in the Bravo slots once the show is accepted under the Bravo umbrella-hence “executive producer”-but the individual production companies are responsible for filming and editing the episodes that are broadcast.

      • quincyil says:

Yet, Andy was on an airplane looking at OC long before the show began. I think he gives the OK on the shows.

    • DJ Loops Fruit says:

he doesnt have teh final say unless he is listed as executive producer on the shows credits some o the housewives shows have him listed some dont
I think he is listed on Bethennys show

  6. NJ Bev says:

For the first time ever, I agreed with NeNe. The guys must really suck
for the girls to win…. LaToya looked really ignorant, no concept of a budget.
She was just hellbent on making the ladies listen to her commands and
    respect her.
I wasn’t even mad that NeNe yelled at her.

OT. I love that product, have been using it for years. smells like fresh oranges.

    • error404 says:

Nene needs to get the number for Meatloaf’s anger management classes. LOL

She had a valid point in being mad at LaToya, but as Star tried to reason with her during the Dionne debacle, choose your battles wisely. Nene’s OTT reaction just made her look a fool, and the validity of her point was lost in a screaming match, and now the B word is out of the box and can’t go back in. She’ll be labeled a bully until she’s fired, I’d bet good money on it!

      • VAgirl says:

I thought it inappropriate that she let her feelings be known during the task to Donald, Jr. Seems like she was hedging her bets in case the Women did not win and Don, Jr. would have thought NeNe knew that all along.

        • LynnNChicago says:

That is true, NeNe seemed to seek Don Jr out and couldn’t seem to tell him fast enough what a bad job LaToya was doing, it was unnecessary.

          • error404 says:

the exchange seemed to tell me that that was a regular habit and that Don was used to going to Nene to get “the real story” of how the team was getting along. Staff complain about their PMs to the boss all the time if they feel they have a bad PM.

          • DJ Loops Fruit says:

dont you think its game play on her part she was in it to win it

      Hi Beverly~
      How are you honey?
It’s nice to see you early. lol
Not typing a lot at once because hands are aching this morning.

      • NJ Bev says:

Hi sweetie pie-i did start early today! right after i posted
this morning the cable went ad i lost my internet. I was
pi$$ed!!! I had planned to spend the whole morning
catching up on the blogs. oh well.
We know you’re always up early-your garden must be
        magnificent!!xoxo

      • NJ Bev says:

Well, I hope I’m not repeating something already posted, but I read the whole thing
        and didn’t see it mentioned—
The New York papers had some interesting stuff to say about the RHONY-
Daily News states Ramona had a premiere party last Tuesday and Kim Granatell
tried to crash and Ramona told her to get lost.
New York Post says that at another party last week while watching WWHL
Sonja yelled out “Oh look at Andy! He’s had his eyes done! he looks so cute, there
I said it!!”” Andy says he’ll be happy to discuss the topic of facial work next week on WWHL with Sonja.
        Hope I wasn’t a repeat-I hate that!!

    • Nancy says:

Obviously LaToya went way over budget . So where does the extra money come from? Also what happens to the money that the loosing team made?
This is the first season I’ve watched so I don’t know all the in’s and out’s. Thx
And why is everyone so mean to LaToya? I like her. She’s a gentle soul.

      • error404 says:

She seems very nice. I think they are mean to her because it’s a competition and she is an easy target.

As for the budget, my assumption was that LaToya’s not very well stated direction was for Star to negotiate better and get what she wanted for the money they had. I have no doubt that Joe Jackson bullied all sorts of venders to do better than their first quote.

  7. BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

    Great Stuff Lynn & Q~
I have uneven breasts from having breast cancer & I can’t imagine going under the knife unless you have to. These women are amazing to me that have surgery after surgery & think it’s ok.
Will watch later in repeats. Thank you for all the dirt. lol

    • justanothermary says:

What’s left of my breasts is a pretty wonkie mess, but they’re all mine and the idea of undergoing ANY surgery simply for cosmetic reasons is simply beyond me. I can’t even imagine being that hung up on looks. I’d like to think I’m a lot more than just my physical body. Maybe these women were never taught their real value.

      • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

        Mary
Thanks for helping me feel better. I just wear big tops that I cannot wear a bra with anyway. Maybe if they stopped looking in the mirror and started listening to the people who still love them like our hubby’s their sense of what is truly beautiful would change. You are one in a million kid! 🙂
How are you doing? My hubby swear he cannot tell the difference & I tell him he needs glasses. lol He loves me just the way I am & would never want me to get surgery just to look better. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I think we are all gorgeous!
        Love & Hugs Mary
        Patty

        • NJ Bev says:

Patty, you and Mary are truly 2 of the most
          beautiful women I’ve ever known-

          • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

            Love & hugs

  8. Kukulet says:

Wait, wait, wait…I missed OC last night…Vicki actually spanked an employee? Like a swat on the behind-which is still inappropriate-or more than that?

HOW does this woman somehow manage to think that laying even a fingertip on an employee is in any way appropriate behavior for a professional office? It was bad enough watching Vicki repeatedly behave in ways that no one with any sense of dignity would, but that is so over the line, there aren’t even words for it. I hope the employee sues her ass.

Cannot STAND that woman. Never could. She doesn’t have a “work ethic”, she’s an obsessive compulsive controlling mess.

    • error404 says:

Hello… Jeff Lewis anyone?! Bravo has made a career out of following crazy inappropriate people around with a camera as they act out for attention and the benefit of TV. Bitch wants to keep her orange like everyone else. We can’t all have sex on tv with a stranger in a bathtub to keep our jobs.

      • Kukulet says:

I wouldn’t work for Jeff Lewis on a bet, but, as far as I can remember, we’ve never seen Jeff strike an employee, either. Not that his humiliation tactics are much better, but he hasn’t crossed that particular line.

        • DJ Loops Fruit says:

and sometimes when he dwells on somthing terriable he has said to someone he later apologizes
          i kind of like him
he always makes me laugh with some of his crazy antics but he has come a long way from that first season
and who ddint feel bad for him when his ex betrayed him with the buisness

    • LynnNChicago says:

She sure did! Vicki swatted the girl’s behind at least three times and the girl even cried out “ouch” – it may have not really hurt her but it certainly hurt her dignity. Completely out of line!

      • DJ Loops Fruit says:

if a man had done it to her can you imagine all the comments

        • HD says:

If a man had done it I might like it. 🙂

Honestly, Vicki should not have spanked the girl. I see what she was attempting to say in that she has known the girl since she was three years old and I could see my best friend doing that to my daughter playfully but in the workplace and on camera probably wasn’t the best situation.

Vicki seems to have a strange relationship with her employees. She wants them to work hard and then drinks with them at night which is odd to me. Seems as strict as she is about work that she would have very strong boundaries when it comes to fraternizing with employees.

          • DJ Loops Fruit says:

If a man spanked a female employee for doing something wrong ,you would like it ?
Im pretty sure you would be alone in this
most women would be up in arms and rightly so

        • kbinldo says:

Depends on the man, depends on the place, & depends on my mood. If I say anything further, I’ll have to put myself in time out. 😉

However, being spanked by your boss (male or female) in public, on the job, AND ON FILM is an absolute no-no.

      • AZ Girl says:

What was Vicki thinking? Do they just get so comfortable around the camera that they don’t edit themselves? Tamara in the bathtub and Vicki swatting her employee. Man, this show has gone downhill big time.

    • quincyil says:

The girl said, “No,” and she had tears in her eyes before she did it.

This is the same girl who told Bryan on the beach on that conference trip, that it was time to move on.

    • katiecoo says:

I guess they are setting up the “We are all happy for Donn to finally leave Vicki” scenario. Now HIS would be a book I’d read. “Life with Vicki”. He’s nice, attractive, sincere and fun. I hope he’s already met a new FUN mate.

  9. VAgirl says:

Thanks, Lynn and Quincy. OC is a Snoozfest. Tamra said last night that when you’ve had a couple of marriages and relationships, you just “know” when the right one comes along and that Eddie is her soulmate. I wonder what makes her think she “knows” he’s the right one since apparently she hasn’t gotten it right so far! And did you notice that most of Vicki’s workforce is not only young, but young males? Hmmmm…… Last, I wonder why Gretchen didn’t have a few of her parents friends at the ceremony other than herself and Slade? Did she have a reception afterward or a party where there were more people? I wasn’t paying that close attention when watching.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

I wonder what makes Tamra think she even has a soul….

      • Terry says:

I don’t have good gaydar but lots of people think this Eddie guy is gay and I have to say that I agree. I don’t know what he’s doing with Tamra but perhaps auditioning on reality TV for an acting job?

Also, I just don’t want to watch those two make out. It’s exhausting.

        • DJ Loops Fruit says:

hes so NOT gay and trust
          i have Excelent gaydar
          LOL
when i first met Jimmy everyone was telling me HE was straight
          I knew better

      • Rabble Rouser says:

        LOL-good one.

    • dsc60 says:

i was wondering the same thing about Gretchen’s parents surprise… where was their other children? Gretchen has a brother and a sister. no friends either? and Alexis made a comment that she was upset she wasn’t invited… there was no one there except for Gretchen and Slade? not much of a party.

  10. DJ Loops Fruit says:

being that they are getting (maybe already gor ) A Divorce wouldnt that be considered bad form
    LOL

  11. kbinldo says:

Really? They must have kept Gary because he brings the drama; IRL he would have been fired. Sorry Mark!

  12. AZ Girl says:

From what I see on film (which is little) Donn is a good guy. He may be lacking ambition careerwise but the economy is just now bouncing back. Donn seems to always be working on something around the house or in the kitchen helping with the meals. I know some women who would die for a guy like that. Vicki is an idiot. She is going to end up a lonely old woman with her business to keep her company.

    • quincyil says:

      He drinks a lot.

      • katiecoo says:

Wouldn’t you? I’d be going thru a case of Skinnygirl Margaritas in a week if I had to live with that Machiavellian Monster.

      • AZ Girl says:

That’s true but so does Vicki. They all do.

      • HD says:

Why do you say Don drinks a lot?

        • quincyil says:

He had a ticket for drinking on the water and the police went on their boat. That was in one of the seasons.

He had a drink in his hand while steering the boat last night and she was warning him.

That family shares cocktail hour with us on TV.

      • error404 says:

It is a common judgement of all the HWs. I sometimes shudder at how many times B&J rapsodize about getting crunk. But then also wonder why people seem to think Alex having a few too many at a party = she’s lying around in her bathrobe all day sloshed, screaming obscenities at her kids. LOL Bravolebrities like to drink on camera.

      • Nancy says:

        So does Vicki!

  13. WindyCityWondering says:

Loved WWHL – because Jay was an excellent guest! Peggy is so forgetable – and her breasts were wonky. Andy’s explanation of the Jill is a loser vote was not heartfelt nor sincere and I hope he has some payback planned for her. Bravo has lawyers so maybe they should start using them!
CA needs to lose Gary – good drama he is not! He should have been fired because he is not helping charities as much as he is trying to help himself – plus he was called out for his behavior with the client!
The OC is populated with women that no one likes and who can’t seem to get along with each other. Vicki thinks working absolves her from all the other areas of her life she has failed miserably in! And I am really tired of all the boobs!

    • error404 says:

Gary’s a liability. My favorite part was when they told Trump that Gary insulted the business woman with inappropriate remarks, Trump excused it as “Well, she didn’t complain!” LOL What an idiot!

      • quincyil says:

Trump is the king of inappropriate remarks.

      • Nancy says:

        error,
We need to remember that Gary just got out of Celebrity Rehab. It takes a long time for the brain to go back to normal. He also has a past brain injury. He shouldn’t be on the show and it really bothers me that Bravo exploits people like this. It’s just wrong on so many level’s.

        • error404 says:

but I think John Rich made a good point. He said that Gary acts all kinds of crazy during the work and upsets them all. Then, in the BR he suddenly snaps into calm focused sanity. John seemed to think Gary was playing a game… act crazy to throw everyone else off. Trump’s parting warning to Gary was “They can’t all be wrong about you”.

          • Nancy says:

They should consider themselves luck. You should have seen him in Celebrity Rehab. He walked around like he was one of the staff shouting these one liners. Can you imagine going through detox and have Gary shouting and all up in your face the way he does? I’m surprises he’s still living. I almost died laughing when I saw it.
Dr Drew had to step in and “control” the situation.

          • PaganChick says:

We have to remember that Gary Busey’s brain injury left him with significant portions of his brain having actually been removed.
His short term memory is pretty much shot. He may not actually remember anything that he said or did an hour before.
He is suffering from more than just an injury. He is suffering from a significant amount of brain damage which makes him a liability and I agree that he is totally being exploited for the sake of the drama.

            • DJ Loops Fruit says:

and also he suffers from hearing loss on one side as well
              he isnt acting crazy
he cant help anything he does

    • DJ Loops Fruit says:

The only woman on oc that i can stomach is Gretchen

  14. Jill is an endless source of comedy. Getting an attorney involved because of a silly TV poll is ridiculous. I hope Bravo realizes that they made a mistake by inviting her to come back to RHONY this season. She isn’t worth all of this trouble.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Thinking they already realized that and are paying her back. The whole I have changed and I own whatever will be shown to be a false statement – much to our delight, Bravo’s ratings and Jill’s dismay.

  15. plainviewsue says:

I thought Jay Mahr was a riot last night. But no one has commented yet on what he said Gretchen & Slade told him about Eddie being gay. Slade is truly the crap on the floor u try to avoid walking into. I love how Gretchen said last night that her parents taught her her integrity. Got to wonder what her parents REALLY think about her integrity!!

    • WindyCityWondering says:

IMO – Slade will say anything to keep other guys off the show.

    • NYCer says:

That was funny. I basically took it as Gretchen and Slade were trying to start rumors about Eddie, but it backfired because Jay Mohr said this was coming from the most sexually ambiguous guy in America. I’ve said that on IHJZ before–I get a gay vibe off Slade.

      • error404 says:

gay for pay more like it. Slade is a whore. End of.

        • Rabble Rouser says:

Funny you guys are saying that because just before I started to think of who Slade reminded me off; Richard Gere’s character in “American Gigolo” especially in the end where he was begging for his pimp to stop framing him saying that he would do “gay and kink”. Slade isn’t only a whore, he’s a needy and desperate one.

        • DJ Loops Fruit says:

          trust Slade isnt gay
          not even for pay

  16. WindyCityWondering says:

Watching NeNe last night I got the impression that she is aware she has no real talent – in entertainment or business and knows her days are numbered. It is time for her to bring her best shot – the top bully of the season.

  17. PJ says:

I think NeNe IS a bully. She didn’t just attack LaToya as a PM but attacked her on a personal level. NeNe is nothing but a bully, who is she and what does she bring to the table? The personal attack was just mean and unnecessary, it looked like pure jealousy. LaToya not coming back at her showed restraint and class, something NeNe does not have. If LaToya assigned NeNe and Marlee to come up with creative ideas and they had nothing, why criticize LaToya? It looked like they refused to help her because they wanted her to lose. If they didn’t refuse to help her then they are just as bad as she is because they had no good ideas either. The women have no concept of team work and in business it does take team work to be successful. That’s what I hate about the women’s team. John Rich didn’t agree with the pirate theme but he worked his rear end off to make it work; the men lost but did John or any of the men go off like NeNe? The men actually did a much better job than the women, too bad they didn’t win. I think it was very short sighted of the company to pick the women. At this point I hope a woman doesn’t win because I don’t like any of them, including Marlee. So what does Gary have to do to get fired? Trump has to be keeping him just for the crazy (ratings) because he clearly does not belong there. I do not like Trump’s choices this season; he’s just pandering for ratings. I think it’s beneath him. I can’t stand watching Gary for even one more episode. Get rid of Gary and all the women and let the three men left go against each other for the win.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Trump did his research – Gary isn’t a Choirboy. Trump came out and said he would have Charlie Sheen on his show….its about rating for him and exposure for the celebrities.

    • error404 says:

I agree with a lot of this. My only exception is: Nene doesn’t seem any less qualified than anyone else on her team. She was a better PM than LaToya and if Hope has any talent, she’s certainly managed to hide it all these weeks. It seems obvious that there is a cartel going on here, as Marlee Nene and Star shut LaToya out when Nene was PM, and then all ganged up on LaT when she was PM. It is after all more of a game show than a job I guess. Star’s greatest talent seems to be arguing her way out of being fired in the BR, so LaT was spot on in her critique. Did you see how hopped up Star got when she wanted to see how well Mark could talk his way back in after basically firing himself? Girl loves to argue. She must be nightmare to live with! Nene OTOH will always be her own worst enemy. Girl, how many times do you have to shoot yourself in the foot before you catch on to your self-sabataging ways. It’s like she’s got a fear of success.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

It is a show about raising money for charities – Richard left because he doesn’t have monied friends – neither does NeNe (Jill bidding $500 to get face time on the network doesn’t count). NeNe is known as a loud, in your face bully – if she didn’t bring that then she wouldn’t be there. Once she throws down she will be gone as well.
Star is there to argue but she has management skills and Trump likes to argue too.

        • error404 says:

But Star does make mistakes. She and Marlee have $$$ connections, which is why they will last. Nene’s implosion is an effort for attention before being fired, but perhaps a bit premature. It still boggles the mind why David Cassedy and LaToya don’t have friends who will pony up the cash.

          • floridagirl88 says:

LaToya was married for years to a man she would only refer to as her manager. It was bizarre and delusional. Who can be friends with, let alone married to, someone who can’t acknowledge the relationship. Would YOU want to be friends with LaToya? Cassidy left too soon to figure what was up with him.

            • Rabble Rouser says:

I know a guy who knows LaToya and he speaks VERY highly of her.

He really changed my perspective of her because before then I thought the only ‘normal’ known Jackson was Janet.

              • DJ Loops Fruit says:

                Janet Normal LOL
she is so far from normal it isnt funny
Latoya was the only family member that used to tell the truth about all the abuse that went on in that house that is till they cut her off now she seems to have drunk the family kool aid
anyone else recall when she used to say she believed Michael molested all the boys that claimed he did
and that it was because of Joe abusing them

            • Error404 says:

It’s hard to say, but her “marriage” sounded like a living hell and her ex is now blamed for all of the weird shit that was said about her during this period. The jacksons are an odd bunch for sure, but Latoya story is like a poorly written lifetime movie!

            • PJ says:

She was in a very abusive relationship with her manager/husband. That’s probably at the bottom of her only referring to him as her manager. Her family had to come and rescue her finally after she called police because of physical altercations. Her Mother told her brothers to go get her and bring her home.

Whatever you think of the Jackson family, LaToya’s Mother seems to be quite a lady so that must be why LaToya doesn’t sink to NeNe’s level. Her Mother brought her up to act like a lady.

              • DJ Loops Fruit says:

If she sat by and watched her husband abuse her kids i have no respect for her either
well at least she finally got rid of Joe

                • PJ says:

It is strange. They are still married but don’t live together.

                  • DJ Loops Fruit says:

could it have something to thier faith ?

does anyone recall when Paula Abduhl was thier choreographer for a sec supposedly one of the Jackson women walked in on Joe and paula doing a very different dance (wink wink) and supposedly kicked her ass every which way
i have no way of knowing if its true but have heard it for years

      • kbinldo says:

Loving to argue & watching arguments is an occupational hazard for attorneys. I always have to stop myself from cross-examining everyone I meet. 🙂

      • PJ says:

It would just be nice to see a group of women who could actually work together, instead of sabotaging each other. I hate to disparage my own race but come on, why can the men work together even when they have to contend with Gary and not the women? It’s sad and embarrassing. I like to think that my friends and I could manage to work together without slicing and dicing each other to pieces. In fact I’m sure we could.

Star does have arguing skills. Mark did make a mistake in saying he should go, that’s the kiss of death as far as Trump is concerned.

LaToya isn’t more qualified than NeNe but that isn’t saying very much.

        • VAgirl says:

PJ Did you mean you own race or gender?

        • DJ Loops Fruit says:

for the same reason most of the women on the housewives fight
women on the whole DONT seem to support each other

          • PJ says:

            It’s sad.

            • DJ Loops Fruit says:

I agree i would think that most women in general would want to support each other and maybe some do
i just have never seen it
like when you see these women on the court shows like judge judy and they are fighting over a man
anyone on the outside looking in can see the man is the one that was at fault and yet these women will tear each others hair out over him

    • Rabble Rouser says:

Not only is she a bully but she is a liar too.

She goes into this big tirade on how it’s not personal, it’s just business but then launches into full on personal attacks that have nothing to to do with anything and are little more than her opinion.

Then when LaToya walks away-because everyone knows you can’t have a discussion with that Moose- she goes even crazier.

There are only two opinions when dealing with someone like her, you walk away- or you take your shoes off and get ready to rumble.

Can someone summarize it for me please, I find that blog hard to follow.

        • quincyil says:

Sure: “I am Vicki’s ex husband affectionately known as the alcoholic who did not pay child support on “The Real Housewives of Orange County.” Vicki has not appreciated the attention that I am bringing to her so she wrote me a bunch of email which I published on the net. Vicki also did things to my girlfriend/wife.”

That is the jest of it.

          Q

  22. AZ Girl says:

Jill’s interns are MIA over at Facebook. There is some very negative wild stuff posted. One guy went haywire on post. O.K. Jill’s interns time to get busy and delete all the negative posts before your boss see’s them.

  23. PJ says:

How does Vicki keep from getting sued by her employees she is so inappropriate?

    • WindyCityWondering says:

IDK – do they sign some kind of waiver that allows inappropriate behavior? The whole sleeping arrangements in Seattle was skeevy as well.

      • HD says:

That was weird and quite honestly came off as a little cheap. Why pack all those people in the same room? It would seem Vicki at the very least would have had her own room.

        • California35 says:

Do we know the name of the company?

          • @tweatcyn says:

http://cotoinsurance.com/ This is the link for vicki’s insurance company. Someone should call and act interested in becoming an agent. See if it’s commission only or salaried employee position.

            • California35 says:

hhmm don’t give me ideas lol

I looked at the page and it does say “be your own boss…” So maybe it is what I was thinking.

            • PJ says:

I wonder if it’s one of those multi level things, where Vicki makes all the money and the people under her don’t make all that much? Can you just imagine having to work in the same office as her; the thought is making me break out in hives?

              • Rabble Rouser says:

I have a feeling it would probably what you described, someone sort of pyramid scheme.

        • DJ Loops Fruit says:

how can she pick whos turn it is to service her if they arent in the same room LOL

        • Rabble Rouser says:

Why would the hotel even allow that?

      • PJ says:

That looked like a case of sexual harassment waiting to go to court.

    • AliP says:

I am a Human Resource Director for my company. If one of my managers did what Vicki did last night I would have fired them on the spot. Someone needs to send that girl the number to the EEOC…

      • Nancy says:

Oh God, I hope you never come in to my Emergency Room.
Our motto is “What ever happens in the ER stays in the ER”
        So far so good.

    • California35 says:

I don’t think they are her employees. Not that it matters, she should not treat them that way. I think it is an “associate/self employed” type of thing. If they sell insurance they get paid and she gets a % of it. She leads them, guides them, teach them and makes them accountable. I don’t know how the rules apply to that type of relationship. If I am right that they are not her employees. Either way, I think it is WRONG to hit/slap and talk down to them in any way. Employee, or associate, or friend.
Do any one know if they are really her employees? Do they have a salary or just comissions?

      • Casey says:

You know what is really funny, it doesn’t really seem like her employees like her that much either. The fact is they have to have a level of respect for her since she is their boss and there is a promise to be on tv and go on paid for trips, etc. They are all so young as well. Bet she would never hire people her own age because they would not but up with antics.
I could not believe that she was not the one getting drunk on the boat with her family. Remember last year all she did was drink and party while on the boat. All she kept saying was she would rather be at work.

      • dsc60 says:

the one she spanked is her office manager. sounds like an employee to me.

    • DJ Loops Fruit says:

      she sleeps with them
for that alone i would sue LOL

  24. quincyil says:

    Hmmmm…….

This is a tweet from Simon van Kempen:

No but Bobby came up to me to discuss my tweets; what I said which was pretty heated needs to wait for the Reunion 😀 RT @mattarichards: @simonvankempen curious to know if @jillzarin apologized to @mccordalex tonight at the awards show for calling her a “f-ing bitch”

Bobby was told by Jill that Simon told people about her complaints that the bride held the wedding at Jill’s old Hampton house. Jill said something about …talk to Bobby.

The Zarins are two of a kind. Jill can say whatever she wants and Bobby will protect her.

It’s all there on twitter .

    • Jezzibel says:

I wonder if the truce between Simon and Jill had more to do with them agreeing not to plant stories in the press about each other(like someone did last year claiming Alex was going to lose her apple)during the run up to the premier, but it was game over when Simon watched Jill call his wife a f***ing B.
It also makes me wonder if he had not seen the episode in its edited entirety, I think Bravo(Shed Media) is sneaky enough to show the cast a rought draft of how the episode will go, but not the final product, so they get a honest reaction from the cast and viewers after the episode has aired.

    • error404 says:

He’s a total enabler and I for one am so over him approaching the other cast members and reprimanding them for daring to upset his precious Jill. They are all shown to be insanely polite to him on camera for inexplicable reasons. I would have told him to go f himself and the she-devel who blows him, years ago.

      • Jezzibel says:

Did Bobby ever try and approach Bethenny about being his wifes friend again? But he has no problem approach Alex and Simon over their supposedly “toxic” treatment of his wife…curious.

        • error404 says:

When they just showed up at Ramona’s uninvited in St John, he had a few words with Bethenny while she was getting her mani-pedi and Jill was freaking out and running to the car in tears. IIRC, he was basically just saying “she’s really cut up over this whole thing” as in you two should make peace, and B was saying “you don’t even know the half of it” as in no offense, but you don’t know what you’re talking about.

      • quincyil says:

My guess is Jill has a promise from Bobby that he will protect her. My guess is the lawyer that were involved in the changing of the numbers in the Bravo poll had something to do with the Zarins. Who else would hire lawyers?

Jill told us in first episode that she was going to be nice and minutes later the producers put “she is a F******Bitch… iin Jill’s mouth under the tent, I think the editors were in trouble with Bobby Zarin.

        • Jezzibel says:

The Zarins can lawyer up to hell and back, it still won’t sway the court of public opinion in Jills favor. Infact it might make her come off even worse.

          • floridagirl88 says:

That’s what I was thinking. This poor unpopular, immature, despicable woman needs to get a lawyer because people don’t like her. What a crybaby. No wonder she had no friends, has no friends, can’t count on any friends. I wonder, does she sue people when they no longer want to be her friend?!?!

Anyway, this calls for a I HATE JILL ZARIN!!!!! moment.

      • MichellefromNY says:

        Lol!! Love you Error!! Mwa

      • PJ says:

Maybe Bawbee doesn’t actually watch the show so he isn’t aware of how bad Jill is. 😉

      • DJ Loops Fruit says:

LOL at the she devil that blows him remark

        that was PRICELESS

    • quincyil says:

      from that article:

“What made you want to launch Skweez Couture?

I’ve always been very honest about my love for shapewear. I am at the age where I need it. I worked in hosiery for a long time and I have a lot of retail experience. I know this business. Shape-wear is never pretty and the idea started because I wanted to add lace to it. I almost died on a date once because my corset was too tight so I also wanted it to be comfortable.

      Care to elaborate?

Oh my god, it was so embarrassing. I finished eating and I couldn’t breathe. We stood up and I thought I was going to collapse. He had to loosen it for me! So everything has great elastic in it because of that. I’m very confident in my products. We just got picked up by Lord & Taylor!”

Oh, my goodness how much did she eat to have that happen?

      • quincyil says:

This came from a link, I might have hit the wrong reply.

      • DJ Loops Fruit says:

i hate to admit this but sometimes when i go out to eat by then end i feel so bloated
now this is funny cause when i eat dinner at home i never feel that way

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Jill likes to expand a story and maybe Bobby feels compelled to speak to the offending party only to find out she made alot of what she told him up.

  25. Night Light says:

From James Mc Nally on Facebook to Jill Zarin: You are one fake old lady . I don’t know why they say you look so good on the after show you look like a 50 yr. Old lady going to a Halloween party in a out date Madonna costume. Now you have a fashion line You went to F.I.T All. You fake d…o gooders .. Taking away jobs from people that went school for yrs. Your book sucks as well. You are so jealous of Bethany you would kill to have her life she real that’s why we the viewers Always like her . You are so fake you you have no real friends …when you talk it’s always how good you are as a person. When people have too say How great they are. They are usually the backstabbing c// ts that F// k everone over in life .,But Bethany got you good … One of my friends met you at a party . You told her you have a pretty face but if I where you I would not eat dinner for a year … Well who has the ugly 2 foot cow with the pig face you call your DAUGHTER . May be she should not eat at all for a year …. & May be if you where a better mother … She would be thin … You are just a self serving self absorbed unfulfilled me kind of women.

    • AZ Girl says:

I wonder how long before that is erased. Pretty funny

    • Nancy says:

Well, I think I’ve found my Prince Charming.

    • Jezzibel says:

      yowzaa!!

    • Jill’s “team” is too busy reading this blog and they are neglecting her Facebook page. ROFLMAO

      • quincyil says:

Is that Rod Schleter? guy the friend of Jill? She may be putting the information about hiring lawyers to scare America.

Perhaps, Jill thinks threatening people will silence them.

        • I think Rob Shuter spoke to Jill last night at the TV Land awards about the WWHL poll. It wouldn’t surprise me if she made up the story about getting lawyers involved because Jill likes to use scare tactics but I think the story is true. Bravo recounted the votes and Andy Cohen apologized for the poll results last night at the end of WWHL. I don’t think they would have reacted this way if lawyers weren’t involved.

      • ramonacoaster says:

I think you’re right. It’s been deleted now that they’ve read it on here.

    • quincyil says:

I believe that Jill would say this to someone and think she was being funny.

      • AZ Girl says:

That is what so sad. We know that Jill would say that to someone and think she is funny.

    • floridagirl88 says:

So Night Light, tell us how you really feel. (I liked your comments).

      • Night Light says:

I didn’t say it. From James Mc Nally on Facebook to Jill Zarin:
I don’t agree with bringing children into the mix but Jill didn’t hold back brining Alex’s children. Vicki and Jill are very fortunate to have such excellent daughters inspite of the poor example they give them. I think Don was filmed in a “I don’t give a hoot” attitude this season.

        • PJ says:

There is a shopping scene in season 1 I think. Where Jill and Ally and Jill’s gay husband (that’s what she called him although he has not been on the show for a long time) go shopping for Ally. I remember thinking that Ally was an over indulged spoiled little brat. Does anyone else remember that?

    • DJ Loops Fruit says:

they should have left Ally out of it
she has nothing to do with what a bitch Shrill is

      • OneMoreInBoston says:

Agreed. She also has managed to stay above the fray…except for random anonymous troll posts from an IP address at her college on this blog- but besides that- no issues at all with her. If anything, I think she’s a beautiful girl.

        • NJ Bev says:

I think that poor Ally suffers enough-imagine knowing
that people actually “hated” your mother? I think she’s a
very lovely young lady.(i have a daughter same age-
they ALL act like overindulged spoiled brats at that
          age-even the BEST of them)
Children should be off limits. no exceptions IMHO

          • quincyil says:

I think the Jacqueline Laurita’s daughter did very destructive things. Some of the kids from OC were in trouble too. If they are underage drinking on the show, I think we should be able to talk about it.

          • DJ Loops Fruit says:

            I Agree

        • DJ Loops Fruit says:

she is a very pretty girl
          beautiful face

    • TLM says:

That’s vicious, going after her daughter. Very nasty comments. That wasn’t necessary.

  26. Nancy says:

I love how Jill thanks her imaginary friends on her twitter.
Poor Ally. She doesn’t deserve this.

    • Kukulet says:

I was thinking that, too. Ally seems like a sweet gal. That poster shouldn’t have brought a slam against her into his message.

      • quincyil says:

It’s sad. I think Ally has enough pressure from her mom, she doesn’t need it from the public.

    • error404 says:

I don’t get all of the Ally love. If I didn’t know better, I’d swear she’s the inspiration for Meg Griffin on The Family Guy. LOL

She’s often shown on the show as lazy and sulky.

      • DJ Loops Fruit says:

she is a very sweet girl though
who wasnt lazy and sullen in high school
she follows me on twitter and has been very nice to me when she doesnt have to be
she never blocked me and never said boo about any of my shrill rants

      • sweet pea says:

I disagree with the “shown on the show as lazy and sulky” comment. She is barely “shown on the show”. When she is it is dealing with an overbearing mother or having to kiss up to her step father so he will pay for her visit to the “health center, spa, whatever they called it’. I remember when Jill forced her to model the clothes that they had just purchased that Bobby could see what he had paid for. Bobby was not interested and Ally was mortified. Painful to watch. I’d be sulky too. As for lazy…don’t see any justification for that comment. She obviously did well in school. Anyway, I hate to see anyone dis a child.

        • error404 says:

She’s not a child, she’s a young adult actively participating in public life.

Most teens have after school jobs. They aren’t dragged into their parent’s workplace for a few hours one day so they can get “a taste of what work is like”, and then sulk and complain the whole time.

Lots of teens get into good colleges too. I know I did, sans the endlessly expensive tutors and extra classes her parents bought for her to help her in.

I agree that we don’t know a lot about her. It just gets frustrating when people are allowed to form fantasies about how lovely a complete stranger is, but anyone who doesn’t drink the kool-aid is villianized. She’s a complete stranger and I’m sure her life will go on unscathed just because I didn’t buy into the sweet act.

          • VAgirl says:

I get what you’re saying, Error. Everybody seems to like Donn, too, but who’s to say he isn’t a lazy lush? Not saying that he is, but we don’t really know Donn, or Ally, or Avery, or many of the other ancillary players in what is know as the Housewives Franchise. When the parents choose to let their children participate, then they run the risk of complete stranges making sometimes false assumptions about them – good or bad. Now Jac Laurita’s daugter and the Countess’s daughter have kind of put their own selves out there for all to see. Hopefully, their antics were just from being young and immature and they will grow out of it.

          • Kukulet says:

Well, Ally might deserve to be called sulky and spoiled.

But “ugly 2 foot cow with the pig face”? That’s a little extreme. It’s not as if Ally has gotten on camera and behaved as vilely as her mother.

              • quincyil says:

I found the Rachel comment. It is on the Letter to Jill Zarin blog by Lynn on Feb. 6. Jill was late coming home from Costa Rica because of a mechanical problem of her jet. She was a pretty good sport about it in twitter. She even missed attending the super bowl and she did not complain. Well, she got back to NYC and settled down in her bed curling up with…her favorite blog, “I Hate Jill Zarin” by LynnNChicago. Pretty soon the usual off with your twitter heads started popping up in Jill’s tweet line and board members noticed it and they reported in. I noticed the reports and sent Lynn an email. Jill was home.

A while later, a post came from a rachel. Someone was very upset. Lynn looked at the email address and it had Sarah Lawrence. Jill had called her daughter at school and Ally signed into word press so she could yell at the people on this site.

Here is Ally Shapiro Zarin as…Rachel…

                rachel says:

                :
Jill must have called Ally and vented. Then Ally came here.

                • housewifeaddict says:

Eh – everyone is allowed to vent once in a while – even Jill’s daughter.

                  • DJ Loops Fruit says:

and serioulsy how does anyone know its her for sure there are a lot of people at that college it could be anyone

          • DJ Loops Fruit says:

well the tweets back and forth are what i base my opinion of her own
she doesnt know me from a hole i the ground and yet she has always replied has always been respectfull and sweet
most of the housewives them selfs dont reply
but i never feel dissed by it as some of them are super busy
            but a few do
and some of them are really really nice
a few of them even follow ME on twitter
            🙂

  27. Below is a link to an interview with Jill. She brings up Bethenny’s name again. Isn’t that a surprise?

    http://www.improper.com/blogs/getting-real/

    • Nancy says:

      What’s new for season 4?
Jill: It’s completely different. There was so much fighting and darkness. Bethenny [Frankel] was leaving to do hew own show. She wanted to just be done with it and start her life over and forget about everything that happened. Now the black cloud has lifted. This season was the most fun I’ve had filming yet by far. We fight, but it’s never dark. I miss my play dates with the other ladies when we aren’t filming.

“NOW THE BLACK CLOUD HAS LIFTED” No Jill you are still down here on earth with the rest of us. (sorry to say)

      • WindyCityWondering says:

The more she trash talks the more people will dislike her! She is the black cloud, nothing has lifted and Bethenny is far, far away from the toxic waste, formally known as Jill Zarin.

        • She claimed that she doesn’t want to talk about Bethenny. anymore The interviewer never even asked about Bethenny but Jill couldn’t help herself and she managed to get in a dig. A dark cloud? Really Jill? Leave it to Jill to blame someone else for the fight that she started last season. As far as I am concerned, Jill ruined RHONY and it will never be the same.

      • quincyil says:

Calling Alex those names and doing the up here down there thing won’t help Jill Zarin at all. Maybe, Bobby can buy her happiness.

      • error404 says:

        LOL!

OK, we only saw one episode, but Jill acted like going to that wedding has a curse that almost killed her. She was miserable the whole time, claiming the sight of Alex make her heart sink or some such nonsense, and then sulk like a miserable child all day. Now she’s claiming she’s never had so much fun!?!

She tells so many lies she can’t keep any of them straight!

        • alicia says:

I think Jill was just miserable to see someone living in her old house.. why was that house sold anyway if she has so much money ? It’s not like her condo in NY is all that.
I much prefer LuAnns townhouse which I think is near Anna Wintour’s townhouse . Probably in the 8 mil cat
vs. 2 mil for Jill’s condo. The recession had begun to hit the interior design industry and she probably had to bail.

          • error404 says:

LuAnn’s s1 townhouse was rented. Jill bought low and sold high and is still hoping to trade up. Her “Hamptons” house, like her apt, was in a less desirable location. She tried to sell the apt right after she sold the house, but with no takers. Bawby, like many a RH husband, got lucky in the RE boom and the upwardly mobile Zarins are looking to upgrade.

            • alicia says:

The market has hit it’s lowest peak .Why haven’t they upgraded by now? I don’t think they have as much money as they used to- commercial real estate has tanked and so has interior design. My family is involved in both of these industries. Sigh.

    • lovemamaearth says:

Jill is the black cloud. Nothing has lifted and Jill hasn’t changed. Thanks for the link.

And I agree that Ally shouldn’t be smeared just bec her mom’s a bitchy lying hag.

  28. Casey says:

Have any of you heard of Celebritycafe.com? Well there was an article about the RHONY episode 1 for the new season. You could tell they were an Alex hater and Jill supporter. Anyway, I wrote a comment about Jill, negative of course and it is not there. In fact there are only 2 or 3 comments seen and all bashing Alex. Do you think this is a blog started by Jills peeps?

    • VAgirl says:

I would not be surprised by anything from the Zarin camp.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

Ditto, in fact we have folks who come here that say Jill isn’t that bad and that A,B or C is worse. We snark on many people, Jill just owns the title of worst of the worst. Jill may feel some sense of satisfaction when one of her asshats post here.

    • quincyil says:

There are several blogs that do this. They say that we are not fair to Jill, but everyone here knows that I ran the subset blog, “I Love Jill Zarin” blog on the prairie by Quincy IL for weeks and weeks.

I don’t bother to leave comments when the blog does that. I never go back.

    • DJ Loops Fruit says:

      more likely by Shrill herself

  29. Casey says:

OMG – Luanne tweeted that she is doing a Ustream video on Wen night and asked all to watch. Then Jill tweeted to her – I thought you were doing a Ustream video with me on Thursday, no? Is there a fight brewing of did Luanne post the wrong date? This will be fun to watch.

  30. @tweatcyn says:

I agree with all of your wishes. Good ones.
OC is down to 4 wives and has to keep adding boring fillers like Peggy because most Orange Countians are too sensible and hardworking to agree to being on a reality show.
Eddy keeps kissing Tamra to shut her up and because they have nothing to talk about. The relationship is purely sex, that’s why Tamra has amped up the sex, to keep him interested. It’s all she has to offer.
Oh, and how could Simon not find out about her trip to Spain when she was tweeting all about it in real time when she went. She intended him to find out.
Lastly, if you missed my post yesterday, here is my new blog entry. What Would Bethenny Say (about Jill Zarin’s Bravo Blog). Enjoy: http://tweattwaddle.blogspot.com/2011/04/what-would-bethenny-say-susan-saunders.html

    • California35 says:

I read this and it is very funny 😛

    • Kokuanani says:

I was appalled at Tamra’s “I don’t have to tell Simon I’m going to Spain” bit.

Good grief, woman, you are the parent of two minor children. Even if your parents & Simon ARE taking care of them, what if some life-threatening accident occurs? Do you not want to be consulted if doctors are asking if they should amputate your child’s arm or take him/her off life-support?

We get it that you’re a selfish, immature bitch, whose mind is totally fogged from non-stop “shagging,” but step back and act like an adult parent for once!!!

      • Eve says:

Not only that…..but if she is away that long the kids should be with Simon. He has a legitimate beef.

        • Rabble Rouser says:

ITA agree with all of you

I can’t believe the audacity of this woman. Is she SO stupid that she thinks keeping the father of her 3 young children informed about the fact that she is out of the country and giving him the option of caring for them during that time is the same thing as asking permission?

  31. sweet pea says:

Hi all. Haven’t read the posts yet….I’m watching The Wendy Williams Show and she just said that one of her staff members was at the Charlie Sheen concert…show…debacle…whatever. The only celebrity the staff member saw there was….drum roll….Kelly Bensimone.

We have wondered how can Bobby stay with her, how can he stand her, how etc etc etc.

I have thought that he is a saint, now that he is probably like her, maybe a little bit of both 😛 Of course there is the idea that he loves her so much that he doesn’t see what we see (lol I can’t believe I said that with a straight face). Now I am thinking…we see how she is and what she does when she doesn’t get her way, or when she hates someone, can you imagine the HELL she would put him through if he wants to get a divorse or even show any signs that he is not happy with her??!! lol

  33. Vesper says:

I was blocked a long time ago from posting on Jill’s facebook page, but a friend of mine repeated my camel toe comment to her and it took 12 minutes for it to get deleted and him blocked. She must have “staff” monitoring it 24/7. Those poor ( and I’m sure grossly underpaid) minions probably laugh their asses off behind her back as they read those comments. “Can’t let Jill see THIS one!”

As I’m sure others have mentioned that two nights after Bethenny’s show where she wore her shapewear as a top to her party, now Jill does it on WWHL? Nooo…she doesn’t watch Bethenny’s show. Uh huh. Why are they BOTH selling shapewear btw?

Jill NEEEEEEDS those bangs desperately. I see she’s going bangless on the TV Land Awards too, and she looks AWFUL. Ages her about 10 years.

One last random thought. I don’t like Sonya anymore. She’s gotten way too full of herself and if she wears that damn golden brown ostrich feather number dress one more time, I’m calling PETA. Not a good look on her at all.

I looked at Simon’s twitters just now. There is one denying “the rumor” that he was fired.

I saw this on a page of google “Simon van Kempen.”

“After running Hotel Chandler for nine years, I’m sad to see Simon go but delighted that we’ll still be working together as we drive our business forward through social media,” said Shimmie Horn, owner of Triumph Hospitality.

    ttp://www.prweb.com/releases/simon/vankempen/prweb4297374.htm

The owner of a chain of hotels would not write that if he was not fond of Simon.

Knowing how hard Simon worked in Season Three, it’s hard to believe that he would leave that job for the hopes of starting a business in a bad economy when his wife does not have steady work. Maybe, the income from Bravo gives them the security the need to do this.

It’s just odd that it happened right after Jill did that to Alex in the last hour of the 3rd season reuinion.

    • Nancy says:

      He was fired.

      • DJ Loops Fruit says:

i dont think he really was as he is forever giving people good advice on places to stay on trips and things like that

    • WindyCityWondering says:

People can be given glowing recommendations for leaving a firm before they are asked to leave…..whatever the case, Jill publically tried to discredit Simon more than once. This would not be good PR 101 or otherwise

      • quincyil says:

They can, but would the president of the firm do it? Certainly, he would not want to work with Simon in the future.

Of course, when my husband’s clinic fired the long term administration, they let him quit and he said in the news that he was going to create a foundation for the clinic which was a total lie.

Simon is honest about a lot of things. He could have decided to grab the brass ring and go for it. His twitter is very firm.

        • HD says:

I don’t find it hard to believe that Simon would quit his job. I think he fell victim to the lure of the cameras and thought this was his time to break out and do something grand. Sadly, it doesn’t appear as if it is working.

A Comparison and something to think about. Everyone thinks Jersey Shore is trashy…I agree, however look at the similarities. The guidettes fight in clubs with others and btw themselves and scream and yell at each other. There is hair pulling and punches thrown. The HW fight with each other and btw themselves. There is hair pulling ( Danielle ) property damaged ( table flipping..Teresa ), bar fighting and even birthday fighting ( Teresa ) and screaming and yelling. (to many to mention ). The guidettes wear short, cleavage showing attire with big hair. Jill didn’t show quite as much cleavage but looked alot like the girls going to the bars on WWHL Actually Jills hair on WWH was a do that Snookie or Jwwow have worn ! ( how tacky ) Kelly’s dresses are just as short. The girls go out looking for muscled up meatballs in the bar. One word…Sonja. I have to say I at least respect the JS girls because they put on no airs. (also about 20 yrs younger than the HWs ) They call themselves meatballs, guidettes among other names. They know what they are and own it. Whereas the HW call themselves: trendmakers, socialites and have a fabulous group of friends. Oh yea, I bet the JS kids get more money per episode than the HWs so they may just have more money….and aren’t in foreclosure, bankruptcy etc.

I think there is a LOT more to the Vicki & Donn story.

From what little I’ve seen of him on tv I like Donn. Vicki stated recentlly that when they got married she was the needy one and Donn didn’t like it at all. She had to create her own life. I wonder if there is something bigger about Donn that we don’t know about.

I’ll bet if Vicki ends up in a new relationship all of a sudden she will find time to be home with her new guy.

  44. @tweatcyn says:

Hmmm, it seems Vicki is taking credit for the creation of RHOC in her book. Here is an excerpt. I wonder if any of it is true:

    Chapter Nine (Excerpt)
    OC Housewives
    The “Real” Show,
    7-10 Minutes or Less
A good man by the name of Scott Dunlap who lives in Coto de Caza had
always dreamed of producing a TV show about the privileged kids who
lived behind the gates of this community. There was a casting call for
these children, mostly college kids that were going away and then
    coming back home.
My son, Michael, wrote to the casting company executives letting them
know he wanted to talk about his privileged life. He told them he lived
in Coto de Caza when he wasn’t in school at the University of Colorado
in Boulder. When he’s home during school breaks he’s privy to a
beautiful home, a great bedroom and dinner on the table every night,
truly a very relaxing life of leisure. He went on to inform them that his
mother owns an insurance company, and works out of their house. He
added that I was the only mom he knew who worked. Well, NBC or
Scott Dunlap got this letter and couldn’t believe there was a woman
behind the gates of Coto de Caza who worked. They came over to my
house to speak with Michael, but he was back at college. They asked if
they could talk to me and then informed me of the letter my son had
    written.
They asked if I played golf, tennis, or racquetball. I just shook my head
and replied, “There’s no time for chasing balls here; I’m working ten
hours a day.” They questioned me and said, “You’re not holding the fort
down here.” I told them that I was the breadwinner and my husband
was okay with that. We have joint accounts that we put money into and
it goes out the other end just as quick. They questioned where I was
from, inferring that I obviously couldn’t be from California, because
women here don’t know how to work hard (their words, not mine). This
led to their filming a short clip of me and taking it back to their studios.
Bing! Bang! Boom! We got picked up. They began acquiring the other
ladies for the show. They had my story and wanted to bring in four other ladies who didn’t work. That’s when the show became The Real
Housewives of Orange County instead of the kids’ show, Behind the
    Gates.
Scott, with his new vision, found that there truly were some hardworking
women behind the gates. He thought most of the women just
dabbled in jobs, played at charities, and couldn’t really be the
breadwinners. Being friends with Jeana Keough, Scott brought her on
as an original member. One by one the housewives cast was coming
    together.
Laurie was working for me from my home office and that’s where Scott
met her. Scott, having produced plays, wanted this show to happen, so
he took the whole concept to Bravo, who bought it. Talk about
    manifestations of thought.
There wasn’t a big turnout for the casting call because no one really
cared to do the show. My mother and quite a few neighbors thought I
was nuts. I never really put much thought into the show. I figured we’d
do something fun, and never imagined it would sell, that we’d actually
be on TV. Here we are, five seasons later, and though the cast has
changed, people across the country are still interested in the stories.

    • error404 says:

Not a single word of it rings true.

      • DJ Loops Fruit says:

        because its not LOL

      • quincyil says:

Jeanna Keough had given interviews where she said that the show was about her and her family. Some producer lived in her neighborhood and loved the diverse people at Jeanna’s home.

There is another story from Andy Cohen that said he based the reality show on the TV show “Desperate Housewives.”

I bet there is a little truth in all of these things. LOL

    • HD says:

I read this a while back. I don’t know if its true or not. I don’t see the point in lying and naming people if it’s not true. Was her son already in college when the show first taped?

      • Lavalady says:

Hi HD. I went to look at Vicki’s bio. It says Michael is 25. This is season 6. Assuming one season a year, then he would have been 19 when the show started. So most likely in college?

        • HD says:

That makes sense if he was 19. That’s a pretty bold statement to make in a book if it is not true. Plus the guy’s name is spelled wrong. It is Scott Dunlop. Easy mistake but if he is a good friend seems she would know how to spell his name. Oh well. She’s on the show and is the original housewife.

      • mimi0210 says:

I thought on one episode they showed him packing to leave and she was acting all stressed about it like it was the first time he was leaving home.

      • Kukulet says:

No, her son wasn’t in college when the show first taped…and Scott Dunlap already explained, a couple of years ago, that he initially developed a show with Jeana Keough and her family in mind, and it grew from there into the Housewives concept.

This might be how Vicki got onto the show-my guess would be that she heard about the project that Dunlap and Jeana were working on together, got jealous, and got Michael to write in and suggest his mother be added. Vicki rode in on Jeana’s coattails.

          • error404 says:

“A handful of folks were anxious that “Real Housewives” would make Coto de Caza look bad to the outside world. ” Ha! I wonder how that handful of folks feel to have been proven right? Kinda bittersweet innit

          • Kukulet says:

Yeah, but there as another article-have to see if I can find it-that ran online a couple of years ago, with both Dunlap and Jeana Keough, and he said that it was watching Jeana and her family interact and all their social stuff that first gave him the idea.

            • Kukulet says:

P.S. Not that it matters…point is, Vicki’s taking credit for her and Michael coming up with the idea when they didn’t. 🙂

        • Kotagirl29 says:

Her son WAS in college. There was an episode in the first or second season when Vicki surprised him on campus. He was very unhappy to see her there acting a fool in front of all his friends.

          • Kukulet says:

Yeah, but in the first episodes of the first season, there were a couple of scenes where Vicki was helping him pack for college, and cutting his hair (she explained that she used to be a stylist) and nagging him about getting ready to leave for his first semester. I think Mike started college during the same month the show was first broadcast, and the scene where Vicki visited him was in the second season.

          • firepainter says:

Ha ha ha! That was a funny episode. She thought she was going to sit around and drink beer with his housemates and he was mortified.

      • error404 says:

“I don’t see the point in lying and naming people if it’s not true. ” That’s because you have integrity. If only Michaella and Terique thought the same way! LOL Some people just need to make shit up in order to feel better about themselves.

Sorry to say, but ITA with Kelly: “Why can’t women just celebrate one another?”. The whole “you’re not worthy because you don’t do an honest day’s work” vs. “I’m better than you because I stay home and raise my own kids” debate is so stupid and pointless IMHO. I think it’s great that Vicki is able to do as she wishes. Her constant need to belittle other women for not doing the same is appalling. It’s a sad day for all when freedom of choice is disparaged.

        • Jezzibel says:

my mom was a single parent, in the USAF, raising me in a succession of foreign countries. It was never easy for her, she worked on military hours, and raised me, with very little outside help.
So to me Vicki’s attitude is disgusting, but so are the women who have their spouse(or are separated but are still actively involved in their childrens life) but still need 2 or more nannies to do all of the childrearing they can’t be bothered with.

        • HD says:

@ Error-That is the one thing I dislike about Vicki’s work ethic-her constant need to remind everyone that she works. Pride goeth before the fall. I have no problem with women that have the luxury of staying home with their children. I never had that luxury and I don’t think I would have liked being a stay at home mom. However, I don’t lord that over anyone’s head as if they are less than because they don’t work. Now I will say to me, it’s one thing to stay at home and take care of your kids. It’s another to have 4 nannies and you are getting mani’s and pedi’s every day and sipping champange by the pool and tanning and eating and shopping. At that point you need to get to slinging some fries or something.

      Hey there in Toronto,
My son is traveling to Montreal this summer, and probably around the provinces, and although he’s very excited I’m a nervous nelly! He’s 22 but is going by himself, so of course I’m all worried. He’s been to Nova Scotia for a summer at St Ann’s, and then a semester in Moncton, and loves your country! From the scenery to the people he says are very friendly, he has nothing but good to say.

      • Kotagirl29 says:

Montreal is a beautiful city. He will have alot of fun. I grew up in Vermont, 8 miles from the Candian border. We were over the border every weekend. It was a blast. He will hit St. Catherine street and party (if he does that kind of stuff). Does he speak French? Montreal is a primarily French-speaking city. Tell him to try the poutine (if he didn’t already on his previous trips). Fries, cheese, and gravy – too die for.

        • Zoey says:

Hey there! Yes, I’ve heard it’s beautiful. Yeah, he does speak French but having no one here to speak it with, he’s afraid he’s losing it and can’t wait to use it. I will definitely pass on the info, thanks so much!

          • Kotagirl29 says:

I’m sure he will have a great time. Just make sure he takes plenty of pictures, the cathedrals are amazing. Well most of the old architecture is. Glad he speaks French, that will be a big help. Tres bien!

          • Toront0 says:

Sorry, Zoey. When I said below that he didn’t need to speak French I hadn’t read where you wrote that he does know some French. The Quebec French is a bit different as well. My daughters were in French immersion from Grade 1 and found the Quebec French different than what they studied in school in Ontario, which is the Parisian French. But they would still get to use it to an extent.

        • Toront0 says:

From my experience, he should be fine without speaking French. I have studied it – we all do – but I can’t actually speak the language that much anymore, and it isn’t a problem.

          • Kotagirl29 says:

I know, I don’t speak at all, well with the exception of a few random phrases, but it will be easier for him if he is staying for a length of time.

Someone else asked if he would defend Alex in such a manner and he said “no” that he would tell Alex that she was wrong.

This is why Simon and Alex have a good marriage IHO. Sometimes the ones that love you the most are the ones who reign you in. No one is perfect even in the perfect marriage. Bobby needs to grow a few.

I was reading Jill’s tweets. I don’t know why…maybe I like to punish myself. Anyway, Jill seems to spend a lot of time in bed. Don’t get me wrong because I luv a lazy day every now and then. I know she has said it was her families “thing” to hang out in bed.

Maybe if she got out of bed, got busy and didn’t have so much time on her hands to be thinking and thinking about herself, she’d probably be better off. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Jill’s lazy and nothing she does pans thru cuz she’s lazy.

I agree and brush that winter fur off. She could give the hair to Kelly for a fur coat that Peta won’t mind.

        • Zoey says:

This might sound weird, but in an attempt to power through the thickness of Kelly’s skull, I wonder if the scenario of say, her doggie Chief being donated to make someone a purse or coat would help her understand Peta’s stance? She would no doubt be appalled, but maybe she would ‘get’ it.
It’s a personal choice about to wear or not wear fur, I just wish she would understand the whole thing! Maybe I’m just dreaming….

          • Nancy says:

I don’t think Kelly would “get it” if we skinned HER alive.

Yes Jill that little jab is for you. In your next life maybe you should go after a man that ISN’T married. I’m sure you have a chapter in your “book” on that subject.

Does anyone know why some diamonds are 4 trillion diamonds as the center stone instead of one stone?

Is it considered a cheaper diamond or is does it have an old fashioned meaning?

    • AZ Girl says:

I think it may have to do with the cut of the stone. I am guessing

    • Kukulet says:

I think it’s a new fashion that started a few years back. It’s probably a little less expensive to have the four stones instead of one larger stone…for one reason, the four smaller stones could have more inclusions and it wouldn’t be as noticeable. Which makes for saving $$.

I don’t think it has an old fashioned meaning. I’m pretty old, and I don’t recall engagement rings of the past having that four stone setting.

Personally, I don’t care for it as much as the one stone setting, but each to their own. 🙂

    • LynnNChicago says:

Those 4 trillion diamonds are typically diamond chips, still real but tiny chips that are worth virtually nothing. Even if they put enough together to make a full carat, it isn’t worth as much as a single stone of the same weight. The Look is nice though, it is less expensive and unless you look really closely, sometimes you can’t tell it isn’t one stone.

If you look at her hair she has obvious extensions thru the back- the pieces are glossy and thicker- textured. Her hair to her shoulders is hers, it’s finer and wispy. So he’s adding highlights to the front part and adding extensions thru the back. Then he’s using a barrel iron on it. Extensions can make you LOOK like you have great hair, I wear them myself to bulk up my hair and get length that looks healthy not fried.

They should do what Jill does. Buy and wear a nice expensive dress then return it to the store and get your money back. It’s easy.

      • Zoey says:

Or sell them on Ebay unwashed. That last part is my opinion, as I just think that yellow silky number looks like someone sat down in it (wore it) and it wasn’t sent to be cleaned. I guess you get Jill’s old dress AND her cooties!

        • Nancy says:

There’s also a stain on the front of it. Who is going to pay $500.00 for that moo moo of a dress? It’s UGLY.

    • TLM says:

You’re right. It’s probably some new designer, since she and Simon pride themselves on it, but to me it looks like a totally cheesy dress you might find in a mall or sold in a store on the Atlantic City, NJ boardwalk. I could see the girls on Jerseylicious wearing that thing to a club. The whole dominatrix theme is tickety-tack.

I did notice Sonya getting extra mileage out of that cafe-au-lait colored feather dress, too.

can anyone clear this up- i think Error404- you seem to be in the know about this- but (and i know i am beating a dead horse but come on, this is what i am on here to discuss):
the HOUSE that the wedding was held at last week on NY: someone here said that Jill used it/filmed in it only 1 of seasons 1 or 2 and then another house for that other season. (Season 3 she stayed at Luann’s we know)-
But wasn’t Jill’s house that she filmed in for S1 and S2- the same house for each season? You mean to say J had 2 different houses she used?
So to clarify what i am asking- if J had 1 house that she owned, sold it but reserved it for summers of S1 and S2 – only 1 house was filmed with J in…. NOT 2 different houses? I just don’t feel like asking Bawby Z for an answer at this time.
I know this is minutia but i care about that because i clearly watch a lot of Bravo. thanks anyone!

    • error404 says:

The house was sold with the condition that she could use it for two additional summers.

She definitely filmed in it s1.

Simon tweeted that she filmed in it s2 as well, but I think he is wrong. JMO. I think the 2nd year of her use was up. I seem to remember her saying on RHoNY that the s2 house was a rental because she sold the other house. I also remember them being two completely different houses. That’s why I think Simon is mistaken in that detail.

s4 wedding takes place at the house she used to own and filmed in s1.

For Jill Zarin and husband, Zarin Fabrics czar Bobby, this year will be their last in the 7,300-square-foot Sag Harbor house on two acres they sold in 2007 – with a twist.
“They were asking $3.395 million,” says broker Amelia Doggwiler of the Southampton office of Brown Harris Stevens, who represented both seller and buyer. “My buyer offered $2.85 million.” So, Doggwiler says, “Bobby and I got creative. We threw in all the furniture (Zarin fabrics, natch), but asked for the house in June and July for two years.” Zarin said they’ll rent or buy in the Hamptons, depending on the market – and the deal.

        From another article:
“The Zarins bought the then-nearly new home in 2003 for $1.850 million.”

  75. ‘Housewife’ pulls an Al Gore
    ***********************************************
An episode of Andy Cohen’s “Watch What Happens Live” turned into a replay of the disputed 2000 presidential election for Bravo when “Real Housewives of New York” star Jill Zarin challenged poll results.

“Watch What Happens” recaps recent Bravo shows and includes star interviews. The uproar began the other night when Cohen asked viewers to vote whether they were on “Team Jill,” supporting Zarin, or “Team Ramona,” in support of Zarin rival Ramona Singer.

When the results came back in favor of Ramona, Zarin flipped her lid, according to sources, and demanded a recount.

“They had a problem,” Zarin told Page Six. “My initial reaction was surprise, based on my own fans and how they were telling me they supported me. That night, we said, ‘We don’t think these numbers are right.’ ”

Sources told us that Zarin went so far as to tell Bravo she was getting her lawyer to “audit” the polling numbers. But the “Real Housewife” told us she didn’t go that far.

“I didn’t call a lawyer at 2 in the morning,” Zarin joked, apparently meaning the hour when she’d have had to jump into action — although the show is over at 11:30 p.m. “To do that, I’d have to have the best attorney in the world, who’d take that call at 2 in the morning even if I wasn’t in jail.”

A Bravo rep admitted that the network did find voting irregularities but said the problem was not more widespread: “There was a calculation error. It has been corrected and won’t happen again.” The rep said votes were tabulated by a third party, not by Bravo.

Meantime, after all the drama, Zarin still lost. The recount moved her from getting support from 22 percent of fans to 41 percent.

Cohen went on the air Sunday and publicly corrected the tally, admitting that Zarin did not lose by a landslide.

    • Kotagirl29 says:

I saw that article. I just can’t believe that she admitted to threatening the network with her lawyer. How pathetic. I mean its not like the poll was for a presidential, or any other kind of important election or voting process. It’s a stupid poll on a silly little late night “talk” show. Guests and the audience are encouraged to get drunk for crying out loud. That woman really does need to get a hobby. PATHETIC!!!!

    • katiecoo says:

I wish Jason would cut his hair short again.

They were definitely made in Canada as of the taping of the show, which is where BEA showed them flying to last night. As to whether Jim Beam will change that or add other bottling plants, I don’t know. It’s possible the drink could be bottled in the US now to increase distribution.

    • quincyil says:

This article was worth reading. I can’t believe a rich women like Jill Zarin would do this. Shocking.

      • vilzvet says:

That was fun! I went on ebay and checked out several of the listings. I could never sell shoes in that condition! Some of the items actually got bids, jeans I think. And the sizes were all over the place. Also saw Jill’s book for $36.00! Keep dreaming. It wasn’t autographed or anything so don’t know why the seller would think they’d get that much for a used book!

      • WindyCityWondering says:

Considering the economy and all the people in NYC who need assistance – one would think Jill would donate her used clothes to one of many organizations…..sad, very sad.

        • error404 says:

Jill needs to sell at least one pair so that she can get some eggs at the diner. Last night she tried to sneak a lamb chop out of Ginger’s bowl while she slept, but ended up getting bit! But forget the rumbling tummy, Lulu’s coming over Thurs night, so she better hurry up and sell some shoes to pay that ConEd bill or there will be no elec to urinestream with.

    • TLM says:

I’m confused. Why is Jill having someone in Horsham, PA sell her stuff? Isn’t there anyone in NYC who does Ebay resale? Horsham in in the Philly area, near me.

      • TLM says:

Also, I agree it is unacceptable to sell shoes that have visible clumped baby powder and dirt on the innersoles. You can take a damp cloth with Murphy’s oil soap, or other leather cleaner, and clean this gunk off. I would do that even if I were dropping the shoes off at Goodwill. That’s a disgrace.

      Good morning, Baabee.

      • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

Hi Hannah! I posted up stream about tattoo and much I love them. I said it is personal & usually to mark something great or tragic & nobody’s business. I wish I could have more but they are expensive these days & Allan refuses to have one.
That’s all I have read so far~what did I miss? Did you watch BEA?

        • HD says:

Tattoos are very personal if you put some thought into them. I have spent a few nights at that site ugly tattoos and I just laugh and laugh. I have no clue what some of these people were thinking but I guess to them, it meant something. I love all my tats and I would get more but I have no other places to truly hide them when I am at work or a more formal setting. I ADORE alllllllll of my piercings! Most people would never think I was pierced anywhere other than my ears but I like that level of mystery! 🙂 And you are correct, it should have nothing to do with how someone performs in the workplace and it is no one’s business but I know people get judged for that all the time. So if anyone plans on doing something other than being a rapper or athlete, I would probably hide them. That’s just me though.

I just posted below you about BEA.

          • error404 says:

A friend once told me that getting tats was like buying art. Most people can’t afford the good stuff, so they often end up with junk.

  82. HD says:

I watched BEA on and off last night. Other than the drink not being made in the USA (sheesh what is anymore?!) I enjoyed the show. I know Jill took a little flack for making her sheets overseas so I will be curious to see how that plays out here.

Nevertheless, I loved seeing an idea realized! I remember as I am sure we all do, Bethanny ordering that drink all the time and telling the bartenders how to make it and now she is in a bottling plant seeing her dream in real life. What an amazing feeling!

I loved that she called Jason the new money man. LOL! Too funny!

I am curious to see how the conversation will go about Jason. Has he quit his job? Is he a stay at home dad? Is he really working for Bethanny? I am all for a husband and wife team building an empire. I am not for staying home and scratching your balls which it appears he does not do that. Thank goodness!

    • FlowerPower says:

I don’t know, HD, I’m betting he does scratch his balls. Just not on camera. 😀

    • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

Was that a private skinny girl jet I saw in preview? I can’t imagine a ball scratching man staying home to reap the profits never would have made it through the first day with Bethenny! Jason is great with Bryn & he can sneak her to see the grandparents.lol I think Jason would be a great stay at home mama, I mean papa. LOL He really is a hottie too. Better to have the papa home with Bryn than a babysitter since they don’t need the money? Is Gina still with them, I thought in preview she had some family stuff going on & she is now leaving in May.

    • error404 says:

Pride goeth before a fall. Why should he break his balls all day for some stranger’s profit, when he can be breaking them for his wife’s. I’m glad he seems to be getting over that caprice.

Kelly has a perfume? Too bad dumb doesn’t smell. She could bottle it for free.

    • Kukulet says:

No, she doesn’t have a perfume in the sense that a perfume was created with her name on it, like Elizabeth Taylor’s Passion, etc.

It’s Givaudin, not givardon-Kelly the journalist strikes out again-and they will make you a scent to your specifications. You know, you decide what florals, etc you want in your scent and they put a bottle or two together for you.

Givaudin also makes prepared perfumes for stores, including L’Air du Temps, Opium, Poison, and Obsession, but they don’t have one “inspired” by Kelly. I checked.

I shudder to think what it really smells like. And she must have coated herself with it, for the cab driver to smell it.

Thank you Kukulet. I don’t know if she appeared to lie but my goodness the way she worded that was like she had an actual perfume line!

      • Kukulet says:

Oops, sorry…Givaudan, not Givaudin. Made my own typo. 🙂

But I can spell “driver” instead of “drover” at least.

I was watching “After Lately” last night, it’s a pretend “reality ” show
based on the making of Chelsea Handler’s “Chelsea Lately” and
Vicki from OC was on. she watch actually pretty good. She played herself
at a Botox party at Chelsea’s house and kept telling Chelsea she had great idea’s
for a bunch of new reality shows. Chelsea kept telling her to wipe the blood
    off her face. funny show-

OT- ever have a night where you don’t sleep at all?! I never really fell asleep
last night, kept fighting it to watch TV, at 5:30 I gave up and cleaned.
Is this menopause? It was 80* here last night, (no joke), I just felt miserable.

I Had that the other night, still don’t know why! Ended up taking a huge nap the next afternoon. Pretty much made the whole day unproductive, but sometimes you just have to suck it up I guess. I need my 7-8 hrs or it ain’t gonna be pretty. LOL

It is hitting 92 by 3:oo here in s.fl. I’ve been waking up at 4:00 am and not sleeping well- is this early menopause ? I’m 47. Still cool in the mornings but I can see we are going to have another scorching summer.Between the heat and the thunderstorms I will be spending alot of time on the apple.

      • MoDee says:

It kinda sounds like it…insomnia, night sweats, hot flashes are all early signs of it besides the obvious (messed up cycle). Went thru early menopause at 38, now that sucks, but so much nicer now.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Change in the season could be the reason. Too much on your mind is more likely the culprit! At least you did something productive lol, I would read not clean.

I don’t think she looks younger but I do think she’s just acting more immature.
