Real Housewives of Orange County / Watch What Happens Live  by LynnNChicago

Ding Dong the Terrorist is dead!  Congratulations to our US Military, lots of love to you all and come home safely!   Andy was a bit out of sorts on Watch What Happens Live as he found out just moments before going live, as we all did, that Osama Bin Laden is dead at the hands of our military!

That’s the good news, the bad news is he was left with just Alexis Bellino as a guest.  I can just see the scrambling to figure out how to fill a half hour show with just her brilliance to guide us.  Of all days that Andy schedules a newsman to be on the show, what are the odds?

Alexis actually did ok on the show, she did her best I suppose.  That didn’t make it any more interesting, unfortunately as she was never meant to carry the show as the only guest.

Alexis Bellino

Let’s start with The Real Housewives of Orange County, what a disappointing episode but the season has really played out to be filled with boring ridiculous interactions as well as behind the back high school comments.

This entire episode was one dinner party, in comparison The Real Housewives of New York have 5-6 events or parties in each episode.  Did they really think viewers would enjoy watching these women all act like teenagers for an entire hour at one dinner?  Each of the five women all acted like idiots at one time or another during this dinner, it was merely different levels of stupidity.

Peggy was the hostess, she and her husband insulted …er hired the celebrity chef on last week’s episode.  Peggy invited all of the Real Housewives and their spouses to her home for this 4-course meal with wine pairings.  I suppose in Peggy’s mind since she surrounded this group with fine wine and high end dining, they would behave themselves, she couldn’t have been more wrong.

As the guests arrive we find that Slade hasn’t escorted Gretchen, she brought her assistant and Jim Bellino chose to stay back and Alexis brought her assistant.  Peggy was unhappy and disappointed that they didn’t come, I don’t know why she cared or why she acted surprised, she knew well in advance that these two men wouldn’t be attending.

Alexis and Gretchen arrive without their men

In Slade’s case, Gretchen told the crowd that he was spending time with his children, of course Vicki and Tamra have their own theory.  Slade was recently in the press for being in trouble with the law for not paying his child support.  The mean girls just assumed Slade was too embarrassed to show his face and didn’t want to answer any questions about the situation.  Who cares why he didn’t come, just enjoy the fact that it was a Slade-free evening, shall we?

Jim Bellino chose to stay home because he doesn’t want to film with the mean girls and for once I have to agree with Alexis’ husband.  It is unfortunate because he seemed to be the only husband at the reunion last season who was willing to speak up against the mean girls (Vicki and Tamra).  Peggy pretended not to know that Jim was not joining his wife at this dinner from hell but we learned on Watch What Happens Live that Alexis told Peggy 5-days before the event that Jim wouldn’t be coming.

Alexis was distraught because she had to answer questions about where her husband was and why he wasn’t joining the gang.  Alexis claims that having to lie the minute she walked in the door greatly upset her, you know her being Christian and all.  This was a little white lie because to tell the truth would have caused an even greater uproar and possibly would have hurt feelings.  Jim simply chose not to be filmed with these horrible women and I actually admire him for that.  He isn’t looking for screen time like Slade or like Peggy’s husband Micha.  Don’t get me started on that guy!   He’s like one of the gossipy women!

The insults flew fast and furious across the dinner table as Gretchen joked that Tamra found Eddie through an escort service.  (Sort of makes you wonder, huh?)  But Tamra heard Gretchen’s comment and shared it with Vicki (who sat these two together anyway?)  Peggy needs a Ramona lesson in seating charts 101.

Peggy was upset with Alexis for breaking down and crying in the bathroom but we all watched Eddie and Tamra making out like they are in high school behind the Fieldhouse, that was way more offensive to me!  Eddie is very immature and apparently that appeals to Tamra since mentally she is the same age.  I think Gretchen said it best, “We get it, you’re in love, Get a room!”

Well Behaved women of the OC

Vicki was her usual awful self all evening, she concluded that Gretchen must be jealous of Tamra and Eddie but I think that Vicki is the one who is jealous of Tamra and Eddie because her marriage is falling apart.  I can’t imagine what the problem is, Vicki slams Donn to the wall every chance she gets.   It is clear to me that she doesn’t even like the guy, never mind love him.

The two couples begin to talk about having children, apparently Eddie would like one as he has none of his own, Vicki chimes in that Donn has no biological children either and Vicki tells us that she wanted a boatload of kids but blames Donn for not having any kids.  Donn explains that when they first got married they were merely trying to survive and they had Vicki’s two children to raise, so it just didn’t happen.  When Eddie asks how long the couple have been married, Vicki responds, “Sixteen LONG years”.   Donn calls her a bitch and as usual, he’s right!

Peggy shows off to Gretchen a gift from her husband, a pair of honking diamond earrings to match her honking breast implants, and presented to her for …. Oh I don’t know, surviving the surgery?  Gretchen tells us she would gladly get breast implants if in the end she got those huge diamond earrings.

The dinner discussion turns to children and Tamra, with the fresh news that Slade is being sued for not paying child support, blurts out, “You should always take care of your kids!”  Gretchen knows and Tamra confirms that she is referring to Slade, yet Gretchen remains composed and goes to find Alexis who has been gone for 20-minutes at this point.

Alexis freaks out just as dinner is served, apparently she can’t eat without her husband sitting next to her.  Maybe she had one too many cocktails or maybe she couldn’t take the mean girls anymore but she spent almost the entire dinner in the bathroom sobbing uncontrollably.  Gretchen joined her trying to calm her down and Tamra,  ever the troublemaker, ever the mean girl, ever the one who laughs at other people’s misery, convinces Vicki to go to the bathroom so she can listen at the door as Gretchen tries to calm Alexis and convince her to return to the dinner table.

One thing I have to agree with Alexis about, since Tamra really had no idea why Alexis was crying, her laughing and being cruel was uncalled for.  Vicki speculated that Alexis and Jim had gotten into an argument causing Jim to stay home.  If that were the case, as Vicki said it happens to every married couple, why harass her further?

Peggy arrives outside the bathroom door, now leaving the dinner table half empty and tells Tamra, who claims to simply be waiting to use the bathroom yet has hear ear glued to the bathroom door, to go upstairs and use another bathroom, Tamra is giddy with excitement at Alexis’ misery.

The host and hostess

At one point Alexis’ assistant/date for the evening is told to go and check on Alexis, he politely says he will go and powder her nose for her, which was clearly simply his way of excusing himself from the table.  Vicki loudly explains how she applies her own powder at the dinner table and step by step takes us through how it’s done including how she snaps it shut and replaces it in her purse.   Apparently Vicki hasn’t read Luann’s book either and shows her ignorance once again.  Has anyone read Luann’s book?  I haven’t found anyone but we’ll keep looking.

Peggy shows compassion for Alexis by telling her to get her act together and re-join the dinner or just leave!  Channeling Jill Zarin, Peggy couldn’t care less that her guest was upset, or why she was upset she just wanted to pull off the perfect dinner party.  Peggy’s instruction to Alexis of “Leave!” just upset Alexis even more and she remained in the bathroom until dessert was served.

I’m not saying Alexis behavior was appropriate, simply that none of these women knew why Alexis was sobbing uncontrollably in the bathroom and so Tamra and Vicki laughing at her and Peggy showing absolutely no compassion just proved what horrible women they really are.

Peggy is supposed to be Alexis’ friend yet when Alexis returns to the dinner table, Peggy picks a fight with her about how often they get together as couples or have play dates with their kids.  Apparently it is all Alexis’ fault that they haven’t gotten together in several months.  It takes two for any kind of an argument, Alexis explains that she has been busy and clearly Peggy has been busy with surgery, recovery, and accepting a pair of huge diamond earrings.  Just a side note about those earrings, I’m no expert but those looked to be at least 2-3 carats each and had to cost well over $10,000.  Didn’t this couple just short-sale their house?  I’m just sayin…

After dinner the entertainment for the evening was introduced, a friend of Peggy’s who was touted as the next Sade sang a beautiful song as the couples danced and as Alexis and Gretchen made complete fools of themselves.  They grinded on each other laughing and yelling loudly as this poor woman tried to sing a beautiful ballad, Bravo does tend to edit these things to make them appear worse than they are but they could have shown some respect for the woman’s singing.

Alexis is finished crying, has had her face re-applied and now appears to be completely drunk and acting like a complete fool.

The mean girls leave first in their stretch limo, Vicki and Tamra continue to gossip about the evenings events and Vicki’s husband Donn joins in wailing and mocking Alexis, “I can’t eat my asparagus without my honey by my side”!  If looks could kill, Vicki would have wiped Donn out with one glare.  No one can understand why Vicki is upset with Donn, he was just doing what Tamra and Vicki were doing.  You could see the realization on Vicki’s face that Donn did nothing to deserve Vicki’s wrath and where she would have typically reprimanded Donn like a school kid, she realized he actually did nothing wrong and turned her disgust of her husband into a “I’m so tired” moment.  The limo ride got uncomfortable at that point thanks to Vicki.

Mob Wives  by Quincy IL

Drita Davazo and a friend go to a salon for manicures and pedicures while they discuss the problems of being a mob wife and raising children who miss their fathers. Drita never had a comfort zone. She lives like a gypsy living in 11 homes.  When her husband was arrested, the government took everything from her.

Karen Gravono shares her life story with a writing couch who tells her to keep a journal and go to the places of significance to her when she was growing up. Karen tells the couch that she wants to share the pain she felt growing up and being punished for her father’s snitching.  She mentions 19 tombstones and feels the pain of being the daughter of a murderer.  When her father was first arrested, she sold drugs and became a gangster herself.  She turned her life around and wants to share her story in her book.

Karen Gravono is researching her book.  She returns to the former office of her father who was in the construction business.  Everything that the contractors required was controlled in that office.  One half of the men who worked for her father are in prison.   Karen then returns to the modest home where she grew up to find that the house is exactly the same as when she left.  She shows us the escape route that she used when she wanted to go out late at night and tells us that once she met her dad in the doorway and he had a gun.  He thought someone was breaking in.

Rennee Graziano offers her son, AJ, a peeled orange.  She tells us that AJ’s father and she separated when he was very young and the father has spent many years in prison so AJ grew up without a dad. She tries to get AJ to share his feelings and he refuses.  Renee tells him that he is masking his feelings and some day he is going to blow up. He says it has not happened in 16 years and will never happen.  He walks away from her.  Karen says this hurts her.   She asks for a hug and finally he hugs her.

At Drita Davanzo’s home, Drita and her 9 year old daughter are scrapbooking.  They are creating a gift of photos for her husband, Lee, an imprisoned bank robber. The daughter enjoys the creative projects, but does not wish to visit her father who is 6 hours away in a federal prison.  She does not like to wait in the prison for her dad either.  Drita understands and does not insist that the girls visit him. Drita cries in an interview and wishes she could take away her daughter’s pain.

On the TV, we see the US Attorney General, Eric Holder, announcing a major arrest of members of the Cosa Nostra.   The FBI arrested 127 people in the early morning and it is the largest number of arrests in a single day in FBI history.

Renee begins to cry and yell.  She says more than 100 men have been arrested.  She asks AJ to watch TV with her as she becomes more and more distraught. On the news, we hear Eric Holder say the arrests were made in 4 districts of New York and New Jersey.   800 State, Federal and local law officials were involved in the arrests.  Renee is worried about all of the children that will be affected by these arrests.

Sarah, AJ’s father’s girlfriend, calls Renee on the phone.  AJ’s father has been arrested at 5 AM.  They had no notice that this would take place. Renee states that they usually know something is going to happen.  AJ’s father is on probation, so Renee knows that he will not get bail. She asks Sarah questions about the search warrant and where AJ’s father was taken, but Sarah does not know.  Renee calls a lawyer to help her ex-husband and she frets over the effect that this will have on her son.

Renee calls Carla Facciolo at the gym to tell her the news.  Carla is not surprised as this is how it always happens.   Carla tells us that families are torn apart, but no one cares because they are criminals who should go to jail.

Drita calls Renee and says that she is watching the news and that she will come over after her mother arrives.  Drita has a 3 year old in the home.  Renee says it is not necessary.   The doorbell rings and to Renee’s surprise, Karen is there.  Karen and Renee had a huge fight, but Karen heard of the arrests and knew that she had to be there for Renee.  They have a discussion and they don’t want to continue fighting.

Drita is also listening to the news and she too worries about the children who are frightened during the arrests.  This had happened to her family as Lee was arrested in her home at 5 AM.  She said that the streets are full of cops and that they break down the door then enter with guns in their hands.

Carla is finished at the gym and she visits Drita. They share their own experiences and call Renee who tells them she is too upset to have guests.  When the phone conversation ends Renee tells us that Karen was the only one who cared enough to visit her.  Drita senses that she and Carla should have been with Renee during her time of distress.

Karen is in her apartment working on her book. She places a telephone call to her brother and they share their experiences as children of a mob boss. They talk about him having guns and counting money in the bedroom and say that this was normal to them.  Karen’s brother said that he did not know the crimes of his father until he was arrested in 1990, but Karen reads a passage from her book and she knew as a child that he was a murderer when a man was killed outside of her father’s night club.

Renee goes to see her therapist, Kelly, because her friends were not here for her and she needs to talk.  Renee feels like a lost child.  She has pain and depression.  She feels isolated and has anguish. The therapist listens, but we don’t hear her response.

The Celebrity Apprentice by Quincy IL

John Rich was the winning manager last week.  He presents a check to St Jude’s Children’s hospital.  He has won $649,900 for his children with cancer and other diseases.

There are three men left in Backbone: Lil John, John Rich and Meat Loaf.  There are four women left in ASAP: Nene, Star, Hope and Marlee.   Lil John and Nene become the project managers.  Nene tells us that she is going to try because this is for charity.

The project this week is to create a hair styling event. They will provide two stylists and 4 models.  The Products name is Biosilk and Biosheen.  The audience will be professional stylists and educators.  They will be graded on brand messaging, showcasing the product and presentation.

From the start,  Nene is  complaining about Star Jones.  Nene states that Star had a strategy and that Star has bad intentions.  Nene thinks Star wants to throw Nene under the bus.  Star states this this is not “The Real Housewives.”  Nene yells at Star and asks, “Who are you? I will take you! Where is Barbara Walters, Miss, I am so educated.” There are more threats from Nene.  Star says, “I don’t do threats.” Everyone is upset.

The men begin to plan and they decide to invite Nikki Taylor, a former model and a former member of the women’s team.  They feel she will know more about hair than they do.

Women's Project Manager

The women come up with the theme: “Shake your beauty.”  After a tense start, they begin to shake their hair and dance.  The room becomes warmer and friendlier.

They meet with Farook, the owner of the American company that makes healthy hair products without ammonia and is safe for the environment.  He stresses that we should buy American products.

La Toya Jackson returns and confronts Mr. Trump. She wants and explanation for her firing. She was unable to defend herself in the board room because she had lost her voice due to laryngitis. She felt that she had been sabotaged by Star and there was no reason to fire her.  She asked to come back and Mr. Trump would give her the answer to her request in 24 hours.

The men are dancing and having a good time. Their concept is “Feeling Good in America.”

Men's Project Manager

Lil John takes the models to Lord and Taylors and has no problem buying clothes for them.  He is shown in the aisle with his ladies following him.

The women will use the models that they were given by Mr. Trump, hire dancers and model hair styles themselves.  Hope and Marlee go to Lord and Taylor to buy the clothes and they are unhappy as they don’t know what Nene wanted them to purchase.  They discuss buying Nene a dress and wonder what her size is.  Hope worries that Nene will get angry if they buy her an extra-large dress.

The men arrive at the salon first and discuss how upset the women will be when their former team mate Nikki Taylor arrives with her three fashion model friends to help the men’s team.

Nene arrives and kisses the men.  The women and models have hair styles designed by stylists.  The women give the stylists input, but the men let the stylists do their own thing.

Nene continues to bash Star verbally and says, “ Star has a fat brain.”

Nikki Taylor

Nikki Taylor arrives to help the men and it does have an effect on the women.  Nene warns Hope not to be friendly with Nikki as she is on the men’s team now.

Both teams start their rehearsals and the women seem to be more in charge.  Lil John believes in spontaneity.  Meat Loaf would prefer to plan and practice more.

During the women’s practice, the stylists seem to take over and they admonish Star which makes Nene happy and Star unhappy. Star felt that Nene did well on stage, but took a back seat when it came to running the show.

The presentations are made and both teams stress the healthy products which are made in America. The women have a dance team as well as models.  Hope seems stiff as she carries the bottles of product and wears very large hair.  She does not know how to walk according to Nene.

The teams return to the board room.  Nene sets a combative tone.  She attacks Star nonstop. Star is called a back stabber and pushy. Nene claims that Hope is under Star’s spell. Mr. Trump feels that Hope has been under the radar in order to survive.  Marlee said that sometimes Nene scares me and then she became more specific and addressed the behavior before the challenge began.   Marlee does respect Nene and they have become friends. Star was more afraid that she would not maintain her dignity and Nene questioned her on that statement. Nene said that most people don’t like Star and there was silence.

Lil John felt his team did great and that they all participated well.

The judges felts that Nene was weak as a Master of Ceremony.

The men won and $40,000 will go to the United Methodist Children’s Home.

Mr. Trump surprised the men with a new team member, La Toya Jackson.  He said this was the first and only time that he would bring someone back as one of their team mates had to leave for personal reasons.

The four women sit in the chair and discuss their issues once more.  Nene feels that hope is an intern and Star will get rid of her next week.   Just as the show was ending, NBC announced that Osama bin Laden was dead.

In order to find the outcome, I read the net:

“In the midst of the argument, Marlee was ultimately sent out of the boardroom, leaving the two fighters and the more quiet Playboy model (who, as it should be noted, is the only one of them to not lose as Project Manager). Nevertheless, Trump played the same ol’ game as always and fired the person who created the least amount of drama. Hope is gone, and now we have Star and NeNe on the same team for another week.”

So Hope was sent home and the battle between Nene and Star will continue next week.  by Quincy IL

Thanks Quincy, greast recap!  I too was a bit disappointed in NBC for cutting into The Celebrity Apprentice with just 10 minutes left when ultimately President Barak Obama didn’t take to the podium until close to an hour later.  Yes, this was great news, Osama is dead but 10 minutes later the news would have been the same.  Do you think Obama told NBC to cut into Donald Trump’s show on purpose?  hahaha  Kidding!!!

I am really enjoying the Celebrity Apprentice, I think Hope should have gone home long ago, I was thrilled to see LaToya back and telling the same story as NeNe.  While NeNe lost her temper and therefore loses some credibility, everything she was saying, while not articulate, was accurate.  Rather than repeating the same thing over and over “Backstabbing”, I would have liked to see NeNe provide examples of what Star has done.

There’s my two cents on CA, can’t wait until next week!  LynnNChicago

Until Next time…

Thanks for the recap, Quincy. Looks like Karen is the only one of the Mob Wives who realizes the true effects of the mob life on family members. The others are still mired in that life, but even they are realizing that it’s not a good life like they thought in the past. Fascinating look at mobsters family life. After Ne Ne lost it and went off on Star for no apparent reason, I changed the channel. Don’t like either of them, but Star seems to be able to keep her cool, which will serve her well. I think one of the men will probably win.

I couldn’t imagine living that life. I thought Renee was the strong one but she seems to break down quite a bit. Her son seems like he is just over it. I am confused on one thing though, are her and her husband(?) divorced or seperated?

Also, wasn’t that the huband that she calls to the bar next week? So apparently he gets out of jail.

I didn’t watch CA. Thanks for the recap. I think I will only watch when Nene gets fired or walks off the set. sigh…she should have stuck it out.

  2. okeydoekey says:

    Quincy IL great job.

Just learned who won CA. Nene was her normal moose self. I was expecting more extreme behavior. Screaming at people is her baseline. She is so crazy to be able to act out then forget about it and expect everyone else too. I guess this is her relaxation technique. I loved when Hope was shopping and wanted to buy Nene an extra-large. Nene would have killed her. I can’t wait to see her as a grandma.

    • quincyil says:

Hope said in an interview last week that the exchange between Nene and Star was more extreme. Hope said that Star hired a personal security guard. I don’t know if it was to protect her while on the show or afterwards.

Good morning. This is off topic but I have to tell someone. Since my mom died (six months yesterday) I have been asking her to send me a sign so I know that she’s ok and that we’ll see each other again. I always added “let me see a hot air balloon” and I’ll know it’s your message. (we both loved watching hot air balloons)

This morning at 6:30, I was out walking my dog and a hot air balloon is over our heads! It shocked me. It was yellow with a big smiley face on it. I started crying I was so happy to see it. I know it sounds weird but I’ve asked her about 40 times to let me see a hot air balloon and that will be your message to me.

I’m so light hearted right now. I’m still crying. (happy cry)

Boston, what a lovely story. I believe, as you do, that our loved ones do send us signs. When my mother passed over I asked her to send us a sign. My sister and I believe that sign is a car with one headlight. Oddly enough, whenever I am worried or anxious I see that one headlight. When we are coming home from a wedding or graduation or event that she would have loved – there it is. I wish you lots of hot air balloons, you have an angel watching you.

I am a faithful reader and an occasional poster but I could not let this go without a comment. I lost by best friend on 11/14/10. His birthday was on 11/25/10. I did not think anyone would remember his birthday so I went the the cemetery on the 25th with a Happy Birthday balloon. As I stood at his grave I told him I wanted him to do something for my birthday which was a week later.

I am an avid birdwatcher and on my birthday there was a HUGE Cooper’s hawk sitting in my dogwood tree not 10 feet from my house. It was looking in my kitchen window. I told it to sit there while I got my camera. After I took it’s picture it gave me one last look and flew away. I have say the hawk had the most impressive red eyes I have EVER seen.

May I just say that the dearly departed do contact us but we need to be aware. Did you hear a song on the radio that brought back a memory of a loved one? Maybe an old movie that you both loved? Have you found an old picture and then had a sentimental moment….yes it is them contacting you.

A very good friend of my comitted suicide and on the 1st anniversary of his death as I was crying a river, a boquet of flowers was delivered to my house by mistake. I firmly believe they can see you from the other side. When unusual thing happen smile and say Hello. If you are so inclined talk to them. Amazing things will happen.

I’m so sick of Trump and the cheesy challenges of this show: what the heck does hair have to do with flag waving yaya patriotism. Give me a break. The men’s idea was so stupid and the ladies hair shaking was better, but the clients picked the more pro-american campaign. Oh brother. You’d never in a million year suspect that Trump is pretending to run for president as a conservative! LOL

Nene’s outburst was so weird and unprofessional, but Star didn’t seem surprised or even phased by it, which is also kinda weird. It certainly worked if the idea was to throw Hope off her game. Star also didn’t have a problem throwing Hope under the boardroom bus and telling Trump to keep Nene despite all of the attacks. I think we’re being played.

The whole LaToya come back also seemed really staged and looked more like LaT reading a script than it being her idea.

I apparently have no sense of humor or taste. I was horrified when Lil John yelling in the middle of L&T that he was pimping the models.. I would have quit right there if I was one of those women. His MC job came off as “ghetto” to me, but the clients loved it. I guess I just don’t get Lil John.

Ramona Singer could have done a better job modeling hair than Hope D… girl better blame editing because every week the Trumps ask her a direct question and she always comes back with a blank stare. No idea how she’s lasted this long.

Marlee does blow with the wind though. Last week she said PM Star should stay and LaToya should go because she was the weakest player, but this week she said Nene should go because she was PM, and weakest player Hope stay. Which is it Marlee? Get rid of whomever Star wants gone this week? LOL

      • quincyil says:

However told Hope to walk out on the stage with her arms extended with the product like that should be fired.

I want to thank everyone for their kindness and opening their hearts to me. I did a lot of catching up yesterday. The priest said Sat, that flowers will whither and die but kind words and prayers live forever. And I thought of you, because he was right. I had you with me.

  8. butterisafruit says:

Thanks for the recap on Mob Wives, Quincy. For some reason I am really absorbed with this show. You did an excellent job. Sorry I don’t watch C.A. Trump and Dr. Phil are not allowed in my house

    • quincyil says:

It’s the cycle of violence from the parents to the children and their children that bothers me. If we could find a way to change their thinking perhaps we would have less crime.

The women seem concerned with their own kids, but I wonder about the children whose parents are the victims of their husbands’ crimes. Those children suffer also.

Lynn watches Mob Wives also so she will probably comment on her blog later. When it comes to these shows, I feel more comfortable sharing my opinions with the rest of the people on the board.

      • butterisafruit says:

I so agree. When she was going on about how the children were scared and they storm the house blah blah. Never bringing up what horrors THEY inflict on others. It’s all their own doing.

        • BlueSky_Forever says:

Agree with you Butter & Q, they bring it on themselves. The way they talk to each with the yelling & intimidation. That’s passed on to the next generation too. It takes a lot to stand up to someone that is bullying you & has a designated hit man ready.

          • quincyil says:

They grow up with crime and they don’t know any other way of life. Somehow, they have to change the home environment.

  9. kbinldo says:

Sheesh. I was wondering who got canned. NBC cut out right as Nene was making a damn fool of herself for about the millionth time in that episode. By rights, Hope should have been gone eons ago. However, I couldn’t believe Trump let Nene go on & on & on & on in front of the client.

On a side note, Farouk ran in the Democratic primary for Governor here in Texas. I have also used his product, Biosilk, & it is wonderful. 🙂 He’s very much a stickler for having his products made in the US (specifically, Texas).

    • error404 says:

ran as a Dem, but wasted no time in throwing his support to the Rep candidate once he lost the primary. Curious, no? I didn’t realize he used a rapper in his promos though, no wonder he loved Lil John’s stage presence.

      • kbinldo says:

I either missed that or forgot about it. 🙂 Regardless, I have used his products before & they are good. I got Biosilk at a JC Penny salon, btw. I think you can also use it on your skin. It smells good & makes your hair (& skin) very soft. 🙂

  10. vilzvet says:

Question re: Bin Laden…do you think the sharpshooter will ever be identified? Or will his privacy have to be protected forever? I would say that since it was such a small group of soldiers firing they know exactly who got him.

    • quincyil says:

I would protect him and his family. I would never tell anyone the US did it.
I really don’t think this is over.

I was thinking that we will probably never know who these Seals are at least not for a very long time. I think their lives would be in jeopardy if we did.

  11. quincyil says:

Do you think everything is ok with Alexis and Jim? Just one year ago, they were joined at the hip, now she makes two trips to NYC without him. I think that is a big change in a short period of time.

    • butterisafruit says:

I think Vicki was right. The may have had a fight. I can’t think of any other reason for her to be so emotional. She obviously relies on his approval. And I can hear him telling her how she’s abandoning him, and she should stay home.
      He’s dreadfully domineering. She thinks it’s love..bull, it’s control.

    • HD says:

I think their marriage is okay. I guess he really does not want to be with all the women because he is on next week’s show when it is just he and Alexis dealing with the dresses.

He comes off as very controlling to me but it seems to work for her and what she desires in her marriage. Marriage is such a complicated thing and what works well in one would never work in another. It would seem that you could go out to eat and not have a nervous breakdown because your husband is not there to eat with you.

      • katiecoo says:

My hunch is they were involved in a conflict. The nonstop texting, the over reaction. I think he was probably not happy she went without him, let her know, she felt pressure to be there cuz of the filming and voila, big ol’ power struggle.

Wonder how he felt later when he saw her behavior on film–the drunk dirty dancing? I bet that was an interesting moment between them!

        • nathania says:

vicky is probably right about the fight.

it would be hysterical if Alexis lied about lying, re: why she lied or what she lied about. I just don’t think she’s as pure intentioned as she makes herself out to be. It’s important to her to have the perfect marriage, at least in appearance, so her husband not being willing to come would be unthinkable to her because he should be demonstrating that he goes to the ends of the earth for her. And with Jim, it seems he gets a bit of a thrill about abusing her publicly, chiding her about her spending and her easy life, and now he’s not willing to show up to events with her. I think Alexis has a bit of an ego and something like that would be hard to take, that her husband doesn’t care that it appears he doesn’t worship at her feet and told her ‘go alone if you want to go, I ain’t going’. Those implants were supposed to render him unable to refuse anything I suppose.

Wow! What a night last night. OC was ridiculous. If I were Peggy Feniger I would be pissed. Dinner with wine pairings by Peggy Feniger and these morons are acting like children. Alexis is starting to feel the pressure of what is happening to her off camera. I think she knows she has to do the filming of OC for money and that is not cool. Don was not nice last night. It really bothered me that he was joining in with Tampra and her mean girl antics. Listening at the bathroom door is just wrong.

    • vilzvet says:

That food looked glorious. I counted around 24 table settings so there definitely were some peeps there that were unknown to us.

Oops I meant Trampra. Freudian slip.

      • butterisafruit says:

I thought it looked great too, vilzvet. I would have loved to have a seat at the table. When she served the fish with the pepper flavoring I wanted to dig in.

  16. housewifeaddict says:

    Great recap Lynn,
Didn’t that dinner seem to go on forever? It was probably 4 hours long, and we got almost a full hour of it. I think you nailed it about Eddie seeming immature. The way they were dancing reminded me of a high school dance and my first boyfriend – all hands and so insecurity he had to show that we were getting close.
Vickie’s meanness to Donn was difficult to take. I wonder if she is upset because he’s out of work. They never talk about it, and I assumed he was retired until a few episodes ago. That whole voice over about him not adopting her kids was very strange – isn’t their father alive?
Only Gretchen showed a normal and decent side, and even had some coherent thoughts about her future with deadbeat Slade, and his lack of getting his own life under control. She’s right in that we don’t know the full situation, and the internet could be full of misinformation, and also right to acknowledge that he needs to figure it out before they move on to another phase in their relationships. I’m all for second chances, but he does seem to be a famewhore leech – and if she wants something else, she should start looking.

    • vilzvet says:

Someone mentioned a possible Vici abortion in the previous blog, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Vicki’s Bravo blog states she had her tubes tied at age 34 to avoid an “oops baby”. I think she regrets it now, as Donn seems to be an excellent stepfather to those kids.

      • quincyil says:

That rumor came from the blog of Vicki’s ex husband. I remember reading about it there.

      • nathania says:

My feeling is that Don can do no right because Vicky has all those young male coworkers on the brain. She’s being soooooooooo stupid. They will just squeeze those big boobs of hers a couple times and that will be it. Does she really think any of them are going to date her seriously? Plus, she has been on this show for six years and she is a ‘not nice’ person on almost every episode. Most of the men whom she would be dating will have been divorced at least once and Vicky is a “first wife” type and doesn’t try to hide it so its’ unlikely that she will last long with any many her age, most of them go for a kinder, gentler (and younger) second or third wife. I believe she will end up ruing the day she ever let Don slip away.

    • quincyil says:

Slade owes a lot of money and I think that is why is does not try to get a job. Everything he earned would go to his child support and he does not want to give that money to his ex -wife (does he have more than one ex-wife?).

      • Maryla says:

the two kids are nearly a decade apart. I’m guessing two different baby mamas.

      • nathania says:

        idiot.

I was under the impression that nowadays you either go to work and get money taken out of your check at that point, or you go to jail and make liscense plates and whatever little money you earn doing that goes to the kids.

Gretchen is sliming herself badly by association with Slade. Tamra is working, the guys on million dollar listing are working, why is Slade not even trying. It must be like thousands or tens of thousands of dollars.

The stupid thing is, he is getting a full ride with Gretchen, so now would be the PERFECT TIME to get it together and pay up. He doesn’t have to make rent or bills. Some guys paying support are so strapped they barely have a dime left after room and board for themselves and then the support payments.

      • twoile says:

        @Q he has #2 ex’s=)

  17. jeang says:

I cannot for the life of me believe how incredibly stupid Krazy is on twitter. Of course she tweets about how she loves Vegas and Vegas loves her and then showcases about 6 bikini pics of herself, yet again. Then to top it off another insult this time referring to a Japanese food supply/restaurant as jap food. Unbelievable.

    • quincyil says:

I don’t want to wear a bikini in Vegas, but I love Vegas. I love walking and feeling the party atmosphere.

    • AZ Girl says:

Something is really wrong with this person. She is 42 year old hanging out with 20 years olds at a Vegas club celebrating her birthday. Taking pictures with people she does not know and will never see again. Meanwhile..back at the homestead there are two young ladies that need parenting. Well may be it is best that she is in Vegas after all.

    • Where are all of Kelly’s “friends”? She is celebrating her birthday with a bunch of strangers. I don’t see her “real friends” Jill, LuAnn or Cindy in any of those pictures.

    • nathania says:

      “jap food”

okay…someone needs to seriously call her out on these comments. She’s like the Archie Bunker of the Housewives. Maybe Countess Sasquatch can educate her on it.

    • ihearttalavera says:

Vegas is the perfect place for Kelly. In most places, it’s too loud to carry on a conversation.

  18. TLM says:

I wouldn’t give Jim Bellino any credit for refusing to appear. He’s just tired of facing criticism about his obnoxiousness, and once again he was obnoxious in not accompanying his wife and ducking out of an obligation. A pattern for him perhaps…?
    Ditto for Slade.

Alexis is a basket case, and something’s not adding up here. Last season ended with the announcement she was working for her plastic surgeon; does she cry every day at work there, too, because Jim isn’t there? As an aside, I hope the woman who does all the actual work so that Alexis can claim she’s a “dress designer” quits on her after being treated with such little regard. Alexis will soon see how long someone with no sewing or design skills lasts as a “designer.” No one should be treated that way.

Gretchen would have been better off by herself than with that freak show she showed up with. He must be Destin’s (of Patti Stankass fame) little brother. Finally it seems the Slade story came out. All along, Gretchen has been skirting the issue, and we now know Slade has no job, as everyone thought, and he isn’t paying child support, as everyone thought. He’s been lying all along. It’s BS about him not being able to modify child support. Methinks it’s time for Slade Slimey to move out and find another reality star to hitch his wagon to. Or why doesn’t he host a game show like his ancestor, Guy Smiley?

    • And didn’t Gretchen try to defend Slade by saying he would be hit with contempt if he went to court asking to lower his child support? That is ridiculous! He is just burying his head in the sand by ignoring his obligation. He disgusts me!

    • Miss Katherine says:

do you say freak show because he appeared to be a homosexual?

      niiiice

  19. jeang says:

I believe Bravo has gone full circle now with the Real Housewives of which ever city. They started out to show us how the “haves” live with the parties, shopping, trips, money, etc and now with all the broke ass bitches they look more like the “have nots” and are mean, ugly, plastic, fake, prostitution lookin and acting whores. All they ever do is shop, argue, travel, argue, have fake cooking parties, argue or meet for lunch to argue. Karma is a bitch Trampra and Icky, just you wait and see what the future holds for you two ugly on the inside and out whores.

  20. Christine says:

This is completely OT but it is important to me. Today is my husband’s 65th birthday. I want to let everyone know that I am proud to be his wife of over 32 years and to have him as my friend for nearly 35 years. As anyone who has been married for a substantial period of time, it can be both the hardest and easiest job there is.
When I watch these self-absorbed wenches marvel at someone being married for 5 years my jaw drops. Five years of marriage means that you haven’t even taken the training wheels off yet.
I watch the Housewives (all cities) and pinch myself that I have had the very good fortune to have found a solid human being who truly has my back and believes that I hung the moon. So, to my very dear Jerry, the moon only got there because you held the ladder.

Christine, I don’t post here often, but I had to post and tell you that what you said about your husband was very sweet and loving as I feel the same as you with my husband of 28 yrs. There’s nothing better than being with the one you love and feeling so at peace with yourself to just watch TV, fall asleep, or talk all night long about something trivial or not, etc. …..Just keep doing what you’re doing.

    • butterisafruit says:

      Happy Birthday Jerry!!

Christine, you nailed it. They are such a dissapointment. I’m sure everyone of us watch and find the behavior very disturbing.

I do believe there are more kind people than there are bad. It’s hard to keep saying that with what goes on with the local news. But, to me, people are genuine, they care, contribute, and help each other. Maybe these reality shows are watched because they are so outside the norm. They border on pathetic. You want to take them one by one and shake them.

    • Mookies1mom says:

Tamra listening at the door beats DasBoot and Jill’s phone stunt. She is just so awful and IckyVickyPollard is not any better. She played lookout while VDTammy devilishly enjoyed Alexis’s pain. Gretchen really was concerned for her friend while I was quite surprised at Donn’s behaviour. He was obviously ten sheets and a quilt to the wind cackling like an old gossipy hen. Peggy wins the grimey for worst performance in a backyard dinner spoof acting offended by Jim’s absence yet knew before hand. She has really thrown her lot in with Icky and ClamyTammy. On the road haven’t read about CA as I want to watch it. I don’t know who lost but I think it’s the one where Nene goes bsc. See ya later

    • error404 says:

IDK that’s a tough stunt to beat. My fav part was when B flat out asked if anyone else was listening and Jill and Lulu lied. Nah, still 100x times worse than listening out side a door to try and find out why someone is crying non stop for no apparent reason IMO.

  22. PJ says:

NeNe screaming and acting the fool in front of the client was disgusting and absolutely inexcusable. In any other situation she would have been fired on the spot. NeNe does not have the goods to last five minutes in the real business world. Trump is keeping her around simply for ratings. Whatever Star is doing that upsets NeNe, Star is a good player and a good business woman, NeNe could not have done the show without Star. NeNe is playing to earn money for domestic abuse but NeNe herself is an abuser, NeNe is a verbal and emotional abuser, how hypocritical

    • error404 says:

I know, I thought Trump was going to fire her right there and then, it was so off the hook.

Other than that, I actually disagree with everything else you said. Nene lasted 8 entire episodes before having an episode of her own in episode 9. She actually does a pretty good job as PM, better than most of the women who she’s outlasted I would say. And if anyone should send Trump a mini-muffin thank you basket for keeping them on the show just for ratings, it’s Star, who makes one huge mistake after another. Every time she’s the creative force behind something, the clients just hate the hell out of it. Good in business my ass. The only thing she’s good at in squiring her way out of being fired.

The charity thing is ironic, but I think Nene is like Ramona. After years of abuse, they won’t take shit from anyone anymore, and they both have a habit of totally going overboard in defending themselves against bullies. My fav Star moment thus far is when Trump asked Marlee who she thought he should fire, and Star kept trying to whisper the “correct” answer in Marlee’s ear and Marlee was just like “I’m deaf ya dumb bitch” LOL

      • PJ says:

I have to disagree with your last paragraph. NeNe isn’t in a mode of “I’m not taking it anymore” NeNe is an abuser which is totally unacceptable no matter what the circumstance. Remember how NeNe talked to LaToya, it was uncalled for and inexcusable. NeNe IS the bully, she wasn’t defending herself. If NeNe felt the need to defend herself the boardroom was the place not in front of the client, it just isn’t done in the real business world. Had this been a real business situation I have no doubt that Trump would have fired her on the spot.

As for NeNe doing a good job, I have to disagree with that. I think this is not the first time a client has mentioned that NeNe was weak as far as they were concerned. NeNe was out played by a smarter player and doesn’t like it. NeNe was going on and on about real friendship, just exactly who is NeNe’s real friend? After treating LaToya like dirt she then 1) makes up with her and 2) then tells trump to fire her and 3) then claims she is a loyal friend but Star isn’t so 4) it’s really star’s fault that NeNe 5) turned against LaToya in order to save herself. Please!

I don’t know what you mean about Star, she IS a successful business woman in real life. NeNe is on a reality TV show, what else does she do? Star will go on with what she does long after no one remembers NeNe. What exactly will NeNe do after Atlanta is over?

A person who is so close to exploding all the time is not strong; they are weak, very weak.

        • error404 says:

That’s very interesting. I’ve never once heard of any of these businesses that Star is so accomplished at. She, like Phaedra Parks, likes to remind us every 5 minutes that they are lawyers, it’s just a shame neither is known for any actual lawyering. Both have made very lucrative careers out of going on tv and talking about lawyering, as opposed to other tv law pundits who are actually also accomplished lawyers with famous cases under their belts. I guess I didn’t get the memo about Talk Show Co-Host being on a higher evolutionary rung of the ladder then mere Reality TV Star, but like all things Star, her superiority to others is “truth” because she repeats it often and loudly.

          • PJ says:

If all Star has ever done is to graduate from law school and then to do TV hosting/news type jobs, yes it is far superior to being a loud mouthed bully on a trashy reality TV show. But please excuse me for giving my opinion I didn’t know I needed to check with you first.

            • susan says:

Bet you cannot tell me what Star has done except be on The View and pimp her wedding. And being an attorney is not such a big deal. There are good ones, bad one. honest ones, manipulative ones. I am an attorney and it is no big deal trust me.

              • PJ says:

Read the following comments. Being an attorney is a much bigger deal than being a stripper, in order to become an attorney you have to go to law school and pass the bar. If you remember John Kennedy Jr. had trouble passing the bar, where did he go to school? It is a big deal, sorry. There’s a whole list of things Star has done and I could list a few of them besides being on the View.

              • lovemamaearth says:

Star had the talk show on CNN or CNBC I think. I’m not a Star lover, but she has accomplished quite a lot without ridng on family coattails.

            • error404 says:

don’t switch things up. You said she was a better business person. Now all of a sudden she’s just better because she is better educated. I get it: Star is a better person that Nene IYO. Just because you can’t argue a point effectively of back up your strong statements, doesn’t mean anyone is claiming you have to ask before speaking. Then again, twisting things to make them seem in your favor while pretending to be some sort of victim does go a long way in explaining your Star fandom. LOL

              • PJ says:

I don’t know what your problem is today. I thought you were aggressive and I really don’t feel that you are all that effective in arguing a point. You state your point of view very strongly and often, but it doesn’t mean you are correct. Why don’t you enlighten me about how fabulous a business woman NeNe is? I didn’t comment here to argue with you, you commented on what I said and I responded.

My original point was simply that NeNe is not a business woman. NeNe’s antics would not be tolerated in real business. Star has had a long career doing different things which include being an assistant DA. Star would fit into a real business situation, NeNe wouldn’t. You stated that Star didn’t do anything except be on the View, you were wrong.

I think NeNe is wrong to make such personal attacks in a business situation. NeNe needs to stick to the facts about the task at hand, not attack Star’s character and reputation outside of the show they are on. Even Trump stepped in to defend Star, because NeNe was wrong going in the direction she was going in. I don’t feel NeNe is really a strong player, if you do good for you, I don’t care. I don’t really care who the better person is, that has never been my point. But Star is certainly the most well educated of the two. I haven’t seen Star going on the attack like NeNe either.

I’m sorry you misinterpreted what I said or what my intent was. I meant no harm. If you go back and read you will see I never said any of the things you are now claiming I did. Let’s just drop it, I came here to discuss a TV show, not get into petty arguments over nothing.

                  • PJ says:

“it’s just a shame neither is known for any actual lawyering.”—your words. My reply—Star has indeed actually worked as an attorney.

I agree, I have no desire to argue but if I’m attacked I will stand up for myself and your comments felt very much like an attack. In all fairness, I also think you misinterpreted me. But thank you for calling a truce.

                    • error404 says:

                      Yes, complete misunderstandings. LOL

                      I meant
“known” = famous for, widely known to have done. Most people IMO have no idea that Star worked for a few years in Brooklyn before turning to tv. Unlike Johnny Cochran, Leslie Abramson, etc… Star and Phae are not famous for any high profile cases like OJ or Menendez Bros.

                  • PJ says:

In reply to your comment below I actually did know that Star practiced law before becoming a TV personality:

“Star Jones earned a BA at American University, got her law degree at the University of Houston, passed the New York Bar and went straight to the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office. After three years in general trials, Star Jones moved to the Homicide Bureau, where her work earned her a promotion to Senior Assistant District Attorney in 1991. Star Jones was one of the attorneys D.A. Joe Hynes personally selected to prosecute high profile and community-sensitive cases. Star Jones gained attention in court with a number of highly publicized victories. In one case Star Jones became the first New York Assistant District Attorney to obtain the maximum sentence for a 13-year-old defendant tried as an adult in the murder of another teenager. In another case Star Jones won a 66-year prison term for a serial sex abuser known as the Bicycle Rapist, after other lawyers had failed to get convictions in four other cases”.

Nene’s husband tried to helpher helping her son with homework and the math question was about %ages and Greg asked would you rather have one half or one third. Nene looked stumped and said depends on what it is. ROFL Nene didn’t even know simple math.

          • klmh says:

Thought you might find this interesting:

Star graduated from American University in Washington, D.C., and earned her law degree at the University of Houston. Before she turned her eye to the entertainment industry, she was a former assistant district attorney in New York state.

Compared to Nene’s former stripping job, Star wins, jmo. I do though, put a lot of value into an advanced education.

            • susan says:

About Star – Neither of these schools are so hot. And lots of not so hot attorneys become Kings County assistant district attorneys. Just saying …….

              • klmh says:

She practiced in the state of New York and had to pass her boards to practice there.
I find it interesting that you’re knocking those particular schools. Is there some information you have about Houston’s law school? Even if it isn’t on the scale of, lets say, Yale or Harvard, they also don’t cost 250,000 to attend.

              • klmh says:

Susan, I took the time to look at the U of H ranking. You can find it here.
                http://www.top-law-schools.com/houston-college-of-law.html

                • PJ says:

Remember Star was born in 62 which would put her in college around 80, and law school around 84, so what was the ranking of the universities she attended in those years? The schools seem good now but may have been better then.

                  • klmh says:

Gosh, I thought 59th was impressive and look at the costs. Much more reasonable. My nephew graduated a few years ago from one of the biggies and the cost was 250,000.

                    • PJ says:

I didn’t mean it wasn’t impressive. I guess I didn’t say what I meant very clearly. In response to the person who criticized the schools, I was saying that back in the 80’s they may have even had higher rankings. I’m in agreement with everything you said.

            • PJ says:

I agree completely education is very important. I remember that Star was a prosecutor before going into TV. I don’t know anything about the two universities mentioned but law school is challenging and there are different kinds of students and prosecutors. I’m sure any county could have not so hot attorneys but that doesn’t mean Star was not so hot, nor does her choice of universities mean she didn’t get a top notch education. Hands down much better than being a stripper, in my opinion.

        • lovemamaearth says:

==NeNe is an abuser which is totally unacceptable no matter what the circumstance.=

I agree. Nene’s bullying is one reason I quit the Atlanta HW.

          • PJ says:

I completely agree. There is NEVER any reason to act the way NeNe does. If NeNe moving next to Star after Star moved away from NeNe and screaming at Star in front of Trump and a client was not an act of aggression I don’t know what is. I believe NeNe is quite capable of violence.

            • lovemamaearth says:

I watched part of the Sheree and Nene ganging up on Kim rerun and Kim goes over and sits at another table and Nene comes over and yells over and over until Kim leaves the other table. Then there was the wig pulling. Kimlaughed it off in the reunion but it wasn’t funny whatsoever. It was violent and barbaric and those women should have been ashamed of themselves. Instead, they thought they were worthy of higher ratings. Bedlam.

When I was watching The RHOC I had another one of those moments ( just like RHONY when Sonya kicked out Alex) were I just felt I could not watch anymore. It became too gut twisting like the ER used to be. Watching Tamra listen at the bathroom door while someone is in obvious distress was just too much. I wanted to reach through the screen and chock her. I really dislike this season. Why does she care so much about Slade? She says she is in love so why spend time dredging this stuff up.

Maybe it is me but I noticed something last night about Eddie. I think he is more controlling then we think. I can’t put my finger on it but I can just tell something is not right. His smile is irritating me lately.
Another thing I noticed, Tamra always looks like a little troll sitting at the table. All the others tower next to her. Is she that short? Please take a look next time. I noticed it on the reunion couch as well.
Peggy is another one that is getting on my last nerve. She wants Vicki and Tamra to like her but just wait till they chew on her and spit her out.

    • Eve says:

I agree with you….I don’t really think much of Gretchen or Slade but I just do not like Tamra. She seems to relish in gossip and the problems that others have. In her blog this week she indicates that she has inside information about Slade……why? Who cares? Does she feel so important about that info just like when she had inside info about Gretchen and her love life.
Tamra is just creepy and I hated watching her last night.
Peggy IS really annoying and so is her husband.
I think Tamra will have a big shock about Eddie at some point. Just don’t know what it is yet but I think it will come soon. And I agree about being controlling. Do you notice how nasty his expression gets when she says something he doesn’t like……….

      • Katiecoo says:

Yes I’ve seen that nasty expression. I think he’s VERY aware of the cameras there and loves playing to them but that nasty face does peek out and I think she’s still got the “controlling man” magnet activated and we will see that relationship crash and burn for similar reasons as Simon.

    • ihearttalavera says:

I realize most people (including my mother) hate Tamra. What I see in Tamra, rather than that she’s a mean girl, is that she tries to call people on their shit. She was always very honest about her marital problems. She knows Alexis is having problems and trying to hide it, and she is trying to expose that. I know it’s probably not the nicest way to act when somebody is upset, but Alexis’ smugness about her marriage kind of warrants Tamra’s reaction. A wee bit. No?

Ditto regarding her “mean” behavior toward Gretchen. The reason why she hated Gretchen is because Gretchen was cheating on her sick fiance. Whether she actually cheated or not, it seems like she didn’t really exhibit appropriate behavior for someone with a dying significant other. After that, Gretchen tried to act like Slade was the greatest thing since sliced bread. I think Tamra’s just sick of these other women not owning up to their shit.

      • kotagirl29 says:

I feel like she did with her foreclosure, her divorce, the aftermath of her divorce, the fake boobs, her family and most other things in her life. No?

            • klmh says:

Her relationship with Fernando, or whatever her name is, the way she answered her when questioned where she was with her American citizenship? Not realizing how she treated Vicki until she saw it on film?
I don’t know. I can’t stand her and maybe its the people she has to deal with, along with herself, that makes her so hateful and cruel.
You simply can’t trust her as far as you can throw her, as she said about Jeana. Fits her to a T as well, imo.

              • ihearttalavera says:

I don’t know about the citizenship thing. I may have missed that. It looks like she’s going to come clean about the Fernanda thing next week.

I definitely do not agree with all that she does. I just like the way she can laugh at herself and she seems able to admit her mistakes. Unlike JZ, I feel like what-you-see-is-what-you-get with Tamra, and I like that quality. But I do understand that most people don’t like her.

As for her foul mouth. I was watching Bethenny this evening and she has quite the foul mouth too. I totally love Bethenny, and it doesn’t bother me at all. But I was wondering if people complain about it or not like they do with Tamra. I’m new and haven’t been on the BEA board. People are probably way more tolerant though because she’s so much more likable. Oh, and has a waaaay better sense of style. 😉

                • klmh says:

I agree with you about the ability to laugh at yourself. Keeps things in perspective. I guess the problem comes when you laugh at others when something goes wrong in their lives. No sympathy, empathy, caring, nurturing, nothing.

Star sitting there loooking all innocent until NeNe says she is doing that on purpose was just too funny!!! I don’t think she is an “abuser” ….I was abused and I feel the same way she does when I see people being taken advantage of.

great blog as usual, I have just 1 min. post my 2 cents before running back into jury duty…but this is really important. I will bet my diamond earrings that Peggy’s diamond earrings are FAKES! As fake as her ugly boobs. Phoney.

  27. Mookies1mom says:

I can’t believe these women last night. Gretchen is finally saying what we have all been saying. Slade needs to get a job and work out his stuff. Knock me over with a feather. But at least she was decent to the over-dramatic Alexis.

I think Donn was drunk by the end of the night. But wouldn’t you be looking for some kind of escape if you were married to Vicki. She shouldn’t have talked about what happened years ago because it seemed to me that she was just trying to get her digs in to Donn. Then she gets mad at him in the limo because he was acting like Tamara and Vicki had been all evening. Whatever. I hope Donn finds someone that appreciates him and loves him for who he is.

Tamra and Eddie this isn’t prom. Full on make out sessions should be done somewhere other than in front of everyone at a dinner party. Nobody wants to see that. But, I’m pretty sure she wants Simon to.

Peggy just wanted the perfect dinner party. She should not have invited the other housewives then. We all know they can’t behave. She just wanted to show off. And diamond earrings for getting through your breast enhancement surgery. Really? I guess the next time she has a cold and lives she’ll expect a diamonds as a reward.

Either there was something else going on with Alexis or she needs to grow a set. If I was not able to control my emotions I would have apologized to Peggy and left. Not spent most of the dinner in the bathroom and then emerge for dessert and drinking, which she seemed to be a couple of sheets to the wind by the end. My husband and I enjoy each other company a lot but life happens. When we were in the process of moving to where we live now he came to town a month and a half before I did to find a place for us to live and start his new job. Meanwhile, I was a 24 hour drive away from him. I packed our entire place by myself, got our cats ready for the move and dealt with the movers. Then drove over 10 hours after the movers left to meet my husband at his parents home. Then we proceeded to drive an additional 18 hours together to our new home. Did I miss him and wish that we were in the same zip code, let alone state? Of course, absolutely! But we were doing what was right for our family and it would not have happened if either of us had crumbled. If Alexis can’t manage dinner without her husband how does she make it through the day at work? Makes me wonder how many hours she actually puts in. Probably just enough to cover her latest surgery.

Whew! I feel better now that I got that off my chest. Stepping off my soapbox now and putting it back in the closet.

They were pretty revolting. The thing is Tamra is 43? These are not teenagers. Her behavior is trampy and low class. Almost as if she is desperate. But that one is ugly inside and revels in the misfortune of others. That’s a sad soul.

I heard someone say the other day that it’s ironic that they call it reality tv because it is anything BUT…

Woah….I enjoy reading ur blogs on NY, but it is very hard to read ur OC blogs because it seems like y obviously favor Gretchen. U talk about trashy “Tammy sue” and her comments all the time but then u just blogged that gretchen said she would gladly get a boob job if it meant getting those earings……..she actually said “I would gladly fill my nana’s with gravy”.
And u made a comment and seemed to agree with her and friends comment about escort service…..how is she not considered a mean girl also???
And it seemed obvious why Alexis was crying in the bathroom ALL night, so I would have told her to just leave too. She had to be the center of attention!
And I believe she lied about him not wanting to film with the other girls…I think she just made that up!!!

    • kotagirl29 says:

And Gretchen was first heard commenting to her escort that the bitches are hear after Vicki and Tamra showed up and a few other things. I said it last night, but it bears repeating. All the women have faults. I think that they all acted up a bit at the dinner party. But Gretchen was not without fault, she was whispering and snickering as well. None of them acted as one should when invited to someone’s home for a nice dinner. But, I don’t think that listening at a door is a capital crime. I have eaves dropped on conversations in my life. And yes, Tamra swears. So what? She is not the only woman on Earth who does. Just because you curse like a sailor it doesn’t mean you are automatically trash. I don’t believe Slimey was at home with his kids, I do believe he was avoiding confrontation about his recent appearance in court and the tabloids. I have never liked Gretchen, there is just something about her that bugs the crap out of me. The holier-than-thou Bellino’s bug me too. I am obviously in the minority here, but I like Tamra, Vicki doesn’t bother me and neither do Peggy and her husband. Just my two cents

    • LynnNChicago says:

I wouldn’t say that I “favor” Gretchen, I’d say she is the lesser of Five Evils. I cannot stand Vicki and Tamra, I think Alexis is fake and wants attention. What little I know of Peggy, I haven’t found anything positive there. Gretchen can be nice, her filling her nana’s with gravy was a JOKE, I took it as one anyway. I’ve said in many of my blogs that none of the OC ladies have many redeeming qualities, including Gretchen. She’s always sort of taken the hits in the past, she said she’s not taking it anymore, she’s going to fight back so she’s going to suffer the consequences and be just another OC mean girl.

If you think that Alexis made that up about Jim not wanting to film, what would be her reason? Alexis said several weeks ago that Jim isn’t in this season much because he didn’t want to be around Vicki and Tamra, I think that he sees how bad he comes off when he argues with women and I think he can’t help but argue with these two because they are morons. That doesn’t make him the good guy, but he was right last season and Vicki was wrong. (again my opinion)

SuzieQ – I could go on and on in the blog covering the good and bad of everybody we seen on screen but the blog would be 18 pages long and it’s really too long already. I just hit the main points that i think are important, you’re welcome to provide your opinion just as I’ve given mine.

We don’t always have to agree on everything…hammer away at Gretchen, I’ll hold your coat! 🙂

      • Okie Folkie says:

I’d read an 18 page blog of yours or Qunicy’s, Lynn! I know, I know….you probably dont have enough time for 18 pages. But I do! hehehe!

      • Suzieq says:

        Lol…I’ll hold ur coat!!
But why are the trashy things that Gretchen says a “joke”, but the trashy things Tamara says r not a joke??
I’m kinda the same….I don’t like any of them but I actually find Tamara the most likable of the bunch…which isn’t saying much!!
And I love how I voiced my opinion against yours and u replied and weren’t rude to mean to me and didn’t kick me off your blog. I’m glad u started this and I think u do a great job. 🙂

      • Christine says:

For some reason I think that Jim’s not wanting to be filmed has more to do with what I would call the “Joe Giuduce syndrome”. Given that Jim Bellino’s businesses and income are questionable at best, perhaps he has been paying attention to the Giudices’ legal woes and has decided it is better not to have too much camera time.

    • ihearttalavera says:

Gretchen is just as inappropriate as Tamra, if not more. It’s just that Tamra is on, as my friends and I call it, the love crack (thanks to Eddie) so she’s times a thousand right now. Gretchen is miserable right now so she’s a toned down version of herself and Tamra is happy, so she’s super hyper.

  29. Golden Girl says:

When Alexis started crying didn’t she say something like without Jim here I don’t know what to say or how I should act? What was with that? I also thought it was a little petty of her at the end of dinner to say twice “ok let’s go pick up Jim in the limo and go out!” that had to bother Peggy not that i’m a fan of hers either.

    • Mookies1mom says:

She did say that. It made me wonder how did she act before Jimbo was around to tell her. Uhhh, they all drive me nuts!

    • ihearttalavera says:

Yes, I thought nobody else caught that. She also kept saying when she was crying hysterically that she didn’t know what to do because he was her best friend. I actually think they broke up that night (if you can call it that for married couples), or he said he was leaving. During the text messages or phone conversations in the bathroom, they must have made up because then Alexis was happy and dirty dancing by the end of the party. I used to behave the same way. When I was fighting with my boyfriend WHILE I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL. She would have been better off staying home. I do not see that marriage lasting too much longer.

    • ihearttalavera says:

Short version… by saying “without Jim here,” I think she was actually saying “without Jim.” As in they were no longer going to be together. I think. The whole thing made no sense.

  30. Sammysmom says:

My 2 cents. I loved that our President cut into Chumps show. I think Nene is a bully and is verbally abusive to others. I may sound creepy but I would date Donn in a heartbeat. I love how laid back he is but gets things done. He knows how to work hard and play hard. Happy Birthday Terry!! Congratulations Christine. Couples like you give me hope that I will find my soul mate someday.

    • ihearttalavera says:

Don could be your soul mate!!!! I think every week when I see him (except for last night when he called Vicki a bitch) what a great catch he will be for someone. I think everybody who posted here is right that he will find someone right away. Could be you!!!

  31. Mimisfbay says:

Ah, where to begin? RHOC and the dinner party…who behaves like that? Alexis should have excused herself and left the party. Her behavior was deplorable and someone should have called the limo and sent her home to the ever creepy Jim.
The preview of him slapping her on the bum shows him for what he is.

Donn just can’t win and certainly continues allow himself to be denigrated by Vicki. I do hope that the poor guy has a nice life without that self-absorbed wench.

CA was interesting and not just because of Nene’s outrageous behavior. Her raging in front of the client was just awful. To watch the other team members trying to weigh the two players value was fascinating.

Loved Boston’s post about the balloon…so sweet.

  32. susan says:

Thanks for yhe wonderful recaps. I no longer watch the OC ladies so this was just enough for me. As for CA, I have disliked Star since her days on The View and wish she would go. But I am almost certain that won’t happen because her manipulative bitch ways keep the ratings up and the show would be even more boring than it currently is without her.

Peggy needs to get a better group of friends for her next dinner party. These people are all animals. Gretchen was the only person who showed a little class for the most part. What a waste of Mary Sue’s talents as chef on these people and the young lady who sang was very good, but if I had been her, I would have left. Peggy was a bad hostess for not telling her guests they were rude and inconsiderate. But seeing she also lives in a glass house, what can you say. She would have been better off to hold a dinner party at a crack infested biker bar, Tamra would have really had a great time then, for sure. I’ll take the Fernandas any day over these idiots.

As for Mr. Trump, I can’t stand this man, so I don’t watch CA, but these HW shows are off the wall, they are comical to a point, but when they are meant to inflict pain on someone who is not able to handle their own affairs in private, they have no one to blame but themselves.
One has to ask themself, why do we as viewers really enjoy watching these train wrecks? Ah, are we truly any different than they are. Are we so sure of ourselves, given the opportunity , we would not behave any different than they are? Human beings act out for many reasons, some for love, some for money, some for fame and fortune, some for the “look at me now,” some for the power and privleges, and then there is this as well, “low self-esteem?” The list is long but you get what I am saying. So why do we snark, snort and rag on these people? For myself, it is an escape from the real world, I like reading, this blog site has been a blessing for me as I am house-bound and I live alone. Posting on this board, I have had some ups and some downs.
I have also had the opportunity to see how people interact with others, about all the things going on in our world. For this I am grateful to all, thank you all……Jeepers

    • klmh says:

I wonder if it is the hostess’ job to put people in their place and tell them they are rude and inconsiderate? Not so much, Im afraid… I thought she was rude to Alexis though, and am wondering about their “friendship”. I’ve also thought about A. time being taken up with her children, because the nanny numbers are all by gone. That has to be taking a toll on other things in her life, imo.
I loved the crack infested biker bar idea though, it would have been more fun to watch!

      • klmh says:

        sorry, but not by

      • jeepers1941 says:

        Klmh,
I take from what you have said, if you were to have a dinner party like this couple had, you would condone the bad behavior of these guests, in your very own home? Well not me, my home, my food. I would not be rude about telling them to knock off the bs and start acting as adults, otherwise get the hell out of my house, as the hostess they have insulted me, period.
As for the other comment you made, “sorry, but not by.” May I inquire as to what you were referencing that to? I pray it isn’t what I am thinking of now!

        • klmh says:

Next to the last sentence, first paragraph, but, not by. “nanny numbers are all but gone”.
No, that’s not what I said. I, like you, thought it was just another dinner from hell. What I meant to say is that a hostess at her party cannot and should not tell her guests they are rude and inconsiderate! There are many ways to lead your guests into positive conversations. You can ask someone to leave, you can ask someone to please choose another topic of conversation, you can pull someone aside and ask them to restrain themselves, or ask for help from others there, but why insult your guests?
If you have a party, you can do what you will to your guests. I don’t care. Simply put, I was brought up to respect those that I invited to my home. Its common courtesy in my neck of the woods. But, please feel free to demean and criticize your guests. Its no skin off of my nose…

          • jeepers1941 says:

            Klmh,
I stated I would not be rude about it. But to each his own. TY for the input tho………

            • klmh says:

“Peggy was a bad hostess for not telling her guests they were rude and inconsiderate.” “I would not be rude about telling them to knock off the bs and start acting as adults, otherwise get the hell out of my house”.
Lets just agree that what is rude to me isn’t to rude to you…

  34. Queen Butter Bean says:

I just checked out the NBC website – they’ve got the last night’s entire episode of CA on…

I’m definitely not a fan of Nene and the thing that annoys me the most about her is that she ALWAYS talks over everyone else and then accuses them of doing the very same thing she herself is guilty of doing.

I will be so glad when that woman no longer graces the airwaves and goes back to the ATL to be a pretender.

    QBB

  35. Queen Butter Bean says:

Is there any place to watch last night’s episode of RHOOC? Can’t find it on my TV nor at Bravo.

    TIA

    QBB

  36. Asd says:

I’ve had it with Nene and all her abusive yelling. I don’t think she’s any better than the other ladies. In fact, I think her temper has been detrimental.

  37. Butters'Mom says:

It is nice to read all your stories of long and happy marriages. Makes me have hope. I have been with Butters’Dad for eight years and though we are not legally married we r in our hearts. Though happy they got Osama, Butters’dad was mad they didn’t anounce it earlier as waiting for the President cut in to our cuddle time.

  38. vilzvet says:

Here is a comprehensive timeline of Slade’s money situation:
    http://tvtime101.com/2011/03/10/another-dose-of-morning-smiley/

    • Mookies1mom says:

This is directly from that article.
-The IRS levy has made it impossible for Slade to meet his child support obligations,
So, let’s say that Slade got a job does the IRS get paid first or would his child support get paid first? Or a combination of both? It appears that the IRS was garnishing his wages starting back in June 10, 2008 and left him with “$172 a week”. I guess the IRS getting their money first is more important than having him pay his child support. That’s sad for his children.

    • klmh says:

Goodness, that was an interesting article.

I have no idea about Ca. law and marriage, but would Gretchen become partially responsible for Slade’s debt if they got married, or would she marry into that debt at the time of the marriage?

I know Ca is a no fault state, but don’t know how debt is considered before the marriage. Does the spouse take that debt on?Anyone here know?

Sorry I asked it two ways because Im still having trouble understanding what Im writing!

      • Golden Girl says:

She would not be responsible for his past debt or child support.

        • klmh says:

          Thank you.

        • BessiB says:

That may not be quite true. CA is a community property state. Any income of Gretchen’s during a marriage will be considered in assessing his child support. I believe the court would only exclude her income to the extent she has children of her own.

So, he would be expected to pay his support from his share of her income.

          Same difference.

Yes, great story Boston. I had to tell my best friend and she loved it. Her mom passed away two years ago and their thing is colored rocks. You would not believe the crazy places these colored rocks aka her mother show up in. I truly believe. So happy for you!

  41. Adgirl says:

    RHOC. Ugh.
Who else thought Alexis was crying hysterically at the thought of eating real food?

  42. VAgirl says:

Happy Birthday Jerry and congratulations to both Jerry and Christine on a long and wonderful marriage. I can relate as I have been married 38 years in July. I was 18 and my husband was 21 so sometimes young marriages do last if you are willing to do the hard work and not give up easily. I raised to great young women and consider myself very blessed.

Now about the Ne Ne and Star controversy. Here’s my two cents. Ne Ne obviously didn’t have the educational that Star had. Star became an attorney and had the opportunity to make a big conbtribution using her skills as an attorney. Did she? No, she became a tv-celebrity and concentrated on marketing herself. Ne Ne also came from not much and is also a tv-celebrity and concentrates on marketing herself. Which is worse? Hmmmmmmm Don’t like either of them personally, but at least Ne Ne didn’t waste her talents and education like Star did. Just my opinion.

Oh and Boston. Glad you had such a wonderful morning and hope you aced your exams today.

    • VAgirl says:

      Oops two instead of to.

    • error404 says:

Well, we heard it before at the RHAt reunion: Phaedra who also doesn’t let 5 minutes go by without reminding everyone that she’s an educated lawyer who chooses to waste her time stalking fame on TV, told Nene she has nothing going for her other than RHAt. I guess there’s a whole movement out there of well educated fame whores who are forming some kind of labor union to try and push out non-labor reality TV fame whores who lack the higher education required to publicly gravel and beg for attention. LOL

  43. Bloshka says:

I watched so that I’d be prepared for the recaps. I’m sorry I did and don’t intend to let that garbage into my brain ever again. What a bunch of animals.

Only one saving grace: it was kind of fun to see Donn all soused.

  45. Vesper says:

I am not feeling Peggy AT ALL. She is a such a bore. Peggy was the best thing to happen to Alexis however, as it has made her so much more likeable this season!! Talk about backstabbing, the minute Peggy made her way onto the show she has tried to throw her good “friend” Alexis under the bus time and time again.

Don’t you love these women that have to point out their expensive jewelry, rather than just be understated about it? I can’t believe Lynn left out the nauseating moment of Peggy pointing out they got Micah a Breitling watch to match his Bentley.
YAWN. Those two can match the Salahi’s for most annoying couple!

    • vilzvet says:

I suddenly really miss Beverly Hills. And only 2 weeks to go before Jersey!

    • ihearttalavera says:

What about the annoying husband who present them with the jewelry on tv? Like when Micah gave her the earrings right when she came out of recovery and she was barely coherent. Too damn much!!! I always wonder if they can deduct it from their taxes as a business expense if they give the present on air.

  46. Duchess of Dryer Lint says:

Okay—I give up. I am turning here as I know I can count on this board to help me with what is apparently impossible. I need a Pork Carnitas recipe that is as authentic as it can get. All the ones on the internet are not what I am looking for. To be specific, there is a restaurant called El Jinete that makes the best in the world, but they will not give up any of their little secrets. I am trying to find a “home” version and not having any luck. Anyone on here have any recipies for this dish?

  47. Mookies1mom says:

Wish I could help you but I don’t have recipes for that.

  48. lillybee says:

The OC women are so classless.

    • boston02127 says:

So true lillybee. And what amazes me is they must watch themselves on TV and they don’t seem to try and be better people. They seem to get more and more ignorant & miserable.

  49. AZ Girl says:

Well Jillzy is at it again. About an hour ago she posted on her JillZarin.com site is a link for a new Jill Zarin Fan blog.

    http://teamjillzarinfans.blogspot.com/

It is enough to make you want to hurl. There is a link on the right side that flashes back and forth from “I am Famous” “Follow Me” which I assume is a link to her Twitter account. Enjoy!

  50. okeydoekey says:

How come Alexis gets a pass from talking about her reality. Andy didn’t ask her about Jim’s chin implant, his possible felony and how they had to sell their house at a loss.

Someone posted a link earlier about Slade. Thanks. Didn’t know he had his license taken away and a judge had to tell him to find a job not in entertainment. What a loser.

    • boston02127 says:

okeydoekey—In Massachusetts if you don’t pay child support you can’t renew your drivers license. Is that why the judge took his license?

      • okeydoekey says:

Boston– yes that is why he lost his license. I had no clue that could happen. Slade should be thin then from walking or have a strong thumb hitchhiking. I would love to see her drop him off to art class like a kid.

    • Okie Folkie says:

I think Andy was just sooo happy that Bin Laden was killed. He was clearly pre-occupied, and probably getten drunk.
I dont think he even wanted to be there w/Alexis, he did go down to Ground Zero after the show was over.

    • ihearttalavera says:

      Possible felony?

    • AZ Girl says:

Did we not see him driving on the show recently? I may be wrong. Maybe last season when they were going to Palm Springs.

  51. val says:

If Peggy has an annual dinner party, who does she usually invite each year? Didn’t she just meet everyone who she had there last night?

    • ihearttalavera says:

I thought the same thing when I was watching. You could tell by the amount of plates being served there were other people there. They not really caught on camera. Probably too embarrassed. 😉

    • tinselkitty says:

I admit it, I paused to count the plates. There were 16, total. Ten were taken by Housewives and their plus ones. I couldn’t tell if Peggy’s friend Jessy Kyle was there as a guest or just to sing but she had a plus one with her. There was also Mishel and her plus one. Based on these numbers, every other year’s “exclusive dinner party” probably could have just qualified as dinner at the Tanous house.

It’s okay, I realize how ridiculous it is to pause to count the plates. I will forever live with the shame. 😦

I read a lot of books on this subject after 9/11. My opinion is this war will never end. It’s thousands of years old.

        • Kukulet says:

Which war? The war between Muslim extremists and the nation of Islam? Or do you mean American military involvement in the Middle East?

If the former, then you’re right-it will never end.

If the latter, well, we can only hope. Perhaps someday the realization will sink in with our leaders that our soldiers are fighting a war that can have no winners, and withdraw American military involvement. It didn’t sink in with Vietnam, and it hasn’t sunk in so far with the Middle East, but there’s always hope.

if any of you are like me and fill out sweepstakes online be aware that these people sell your info to 3rd party companys who in turn share your info with other companys

this just happened to me where on my moms phone bill was a new monthly charge of 15 bucks
she shows me the bill and says what is this

i told her its got to be a mistake call them up and see what they say
they told her I agreed to a subscription to thier service for digital d/ls and she was believeing it cause she knows about my radioshow and stuff
it got to the point we were screaming at each other because she wouldnt believe that i didnt
i did research and found out this company has 100000’s of complaints since 2007 for consumer fraud and showed her and she finally apologized
one of the complaints was from a 17 year old girl who got thrown out of her moms home because she wouldnt believe her
my heart breaks for that girl

there is nothing worse then being accused of doing something you know you didnt do but having it be your own mother makes it a hundred times worse
