Blinded Me with Science

Quick Fire

The five remaining chefs are in their own kitchen which has the most modern equipment, but they are not allowed to use any of the technology that they know well. They are asked to us a microwave for their quick fire and they are given 5 minutes to come up with a breakfast for two female comedians, Francis and Angela/Frangela. For $5,000, they have to make something hot.

Hugh shares that his family has a microwave in 1976, but some of his friends weren’t allowed to visit his house because of radiation fears.  Naomi’s life has been microwave free.  She looks for bacon, eggs and shallots.  Tracy dumps the egg whites which she does not enjoy working with and saves the yolks. Tracy uses sliced bananas on her plate. Floyd is planning a bacon spinach soufflé.  He is concerned about the eggs not cooking correctly.

Hugh predicts that no one will make a fantastic breakfast using the microwave, but the women love his bacon and he is delighted.  Mary Sue and Floyd have been the finalists together in the quick fire 3 of the 8 times and Mary Sue wins again.  Floyd is disappointed.

Elimination Challenge

The chefs meet 5 scientists in lab coats because they will demonstrate scientific principles in the second challenge of the day.

 They will study:

  1. Elasticity /Naomi/pizza dough
  2. Browning of food  /Floyd/ beef milliard reaction (browning)
  3. Viscosity/ Mary Sue
  4. Acidity/ Traci/citrus acid
  5. Emulsion/Hugh/vinaigrette

The chefs shop at Whole Foods and at the last moment, Floyd realizes that he doesn’t have his beef. Mary Sue has extra in her budget so he runs back and throws the order to Hugh who gets it to the check out with 4 seconds to spare. This was a group sport for charity.

They will use Bunsen burner for their heat sources and a variety of glassware used in high school science labs. Traci will work with tuna and lemon. She does not use the heat sources. The others have difficulties controlling the temperature of the heat source and there are concerns that they won’t be able to get the temperatures of the oils high enough.

Naomi makes pizza, a favorite food of high school students.  The scientist talks about the glutens the different dough and they discuss the elasticity of melted cheese.  Floyd has a science background with a Masters of Biochemistry, but he disappointed his father when he decided to become a chef rather than a physician or scientist.  He wishes that he father could see the success that he has found as a chef. Floyd pouches beef with a special broth. Hugh has a tiff with his scientist when the scientist tries to do what he was asked to do by the producers and instruct Hugh in the science of emulsions.  Hugh makes mayonnaise because kids like it and they don’t know that it is in fact an emulsion.

Naomi takes charge of her scientist who does everything Naomi asks.  Naomi loves her scientist.

The three judges are James Oseland, Curtis Stone and Ruth Reichel. The guest judge is Padma Lakshmi.

The chefs meet in the dining area at tables where they instruct high school students in groups and serve the foods they created. The students are enthusiastic and they really like the pizza. The students learn and taste while discovering that both cooking and science can be fun.

Finally, the judges have mini lessons and taste the foods.  James does not think Hugh’s concoction is a mayonnaise, but Hugh’s scientist defends Hugh and Hugh’s emulsion.  Hugh served fried okra, tomatoes with fennel, and left over bacon from the quick fire challenge. (No, he probably made fresh bacon, he is a real chef. LOL) He uses a cornmeal breading that will be a problem with James.

Mary Sue taught viscosity by cooking and serving Dulce de leche, churros, chocolate mousse, and café’.  She had concerns about using a beaker of greece, but it turned out OK.

Naomi taught elasticity by creating calzone truffles with mozzarella cheese, chanterelles, arugula and balsamic gelee.  Ruth said it was gooey.  Not good news for Naomi.

Floyd, the scientists and chef, made a spiced beef with mushrooms, asparagus, and fried potatoes.  (I am still upset about Floyd cooking on top of a toilet while racing down a highway in a recreational vehicle a while back.  Biochemists (Floyd) and Microbiologists (me) have issues when it comes to the public and food safety concerns. We are going to talk someday.)

The chefs stand before the judges who are sitting behind science lab tables. They love Floyd’s broth, but Mary Sue beats him again for first place.  Padma loved Mary Sue’s viscosity test. (Padma is so intelligent.  I am not surprised.  She was married to Salman Rushdie.) Mary Sue’s charity receives $10,000.

Hugh, Traci and Naomi stand before the judges for elimination.  Traci did not attempt to do more with the many acids found in their well-stocked kitchen.  Naomi’s pizza bread and cheese were examples of elasticity before cooking, but after there were issues.  Hugh did not make the grade and he was sent home with his knives. He encouraged the other to stay friends and be supportive of each other. I am going to miss Hugh.  Hugh has won $15,000 for his charity.

(I loved this Science Fair concept.)

Jill Zarin apparently read the blog about the Zarin Family Trust questions.  Not only did I get an anonymous email that I will share right here (below) but she also changed the beneficiary of her auction from the Zarin Family Trust to The New York Community Trust.  Isn’t that fascinating?   Here’s the email that I received today:

Hi Lynn,
You have one of the funniest blogs online!!! I love reading your blogs they are
hilarious!! I was hoping to dig up some dirt on the Jill Zarin trust after
reading your post but sadly I found out that is is legitimate. I did some
research and discovered that it is not a private trust for Jill Zairn at all, it
is a charitable fund that is managed by The New York Community Trust. The Zarin
Family Fund as it is called is a fund that is for charitable giving only and
part of The New York Community Trust.

www.nycommunitytrust.org

I found out that this is something called a “Donor Advised Fund” and people set
these up when they give a lot of money to charity and want a team of advisors
who are experts in philanthropy to research the organizations that they want to
contribute to so they can be sure that they are giving to a legitimate
non-profit organization. I was hoping to uncover something more juicy but it
seems that Jill was smart in this instance and set up this as an informed way to
give her money to charity.

I called the New York Community Trust and found out that when people set up a
fund with them for charitable giving usually the fund is in the name of the
family, hence The Zarin Family Fund at the New York Community Trust.

I was given the following contact information for the person who oversees the
Zarin Family Fund at The New York Community Trust if you want to further
research it:

Gay Young
Director, Donor Relations
The New York Community Trust
909 Third Avenue
New York, New York 10022
212-686-0010 Ext. 377
212-532-8528 Fax
www.nycommunitytrust.org

There you go! Wish it was something more scandalous!

This email was sent anonymously.  I haven’t contacted the person named in the email and I don’t intend to, I’m guessing the author of the email was Jill’s assistant Darren or Darryl whatever his name is or one of her other minions.  Allegedly.

Jill’s Twitter has been going non-stop, she seems to be addicted to Twitter, lets take a look at a few of her Tweets:

Jillzarin

If you use foul language and curse I will block you. Twitter has young people reading it. Grow up!
It takes a lot less than foul language to get you blocked by Jill Zarin, all you have to do is follow me 🙂
Aolyouvegot is one of those sites run by AOL that interviews celebrities, sort of like TV Guide on line does, they recently interviewed Jill and AOL Tweeted the link.
@aolyouvegot @JillZarin likens @BravoTV‘s “Real Housewives of New York” to summer camp…minus the bunk beds: http://aol.it/kkU41Z
Jill Responded to Aolyouvegot, she said:  “Follow me!”

Jillzarin

Behind the scenes in Morocco! http://bit.ly/kuXNax #BradBoles
@seanhannity  Tweeted:  “The mistreatment of these women subjected to virginity tests is horrifying.”
Jill Responded to Hannity:  @lisawexler and i want to come on show and talk about it!
Jill is forever begging people to be on their show, what makes her an expert on anything?   Why would anyone want her opinion?
@JillZarin:  Please follow @SkweezCouture We want to get to 1000 followers today !!!! xoxoxo

JillZarin:
Getting mixed reactions about #trueblood maybe I should do a poll!!!
Apparently someone told Jill that True Blood is a good show and recommended she check it out.  Instead of just watching to see if she likes it, she has to make a big deal about it and “do a poll”?   This woman is an absolute jackass!

Jillzarin

Thinking about posting samples of packaging ideas for you guys to vote on. WOuld you if I put on facebook tonight?

Jillzarin

Please help me choose packaging for @skweezcouture http://www.facebook.com/jillzarin

Jillzarin

I just posted @SkweezCouture packaging on Facebook but they are NOT final. I will probably use combo. In Macy’s and Lord and Taylor soon!

Jillzarin

Have u ever seen a cuter face @realgingerzarin?? http://twitpic.com/55a4b7
In a word:  YES!

@ParisHilton “I am so overwhelmed by all your tweets to me about my interview with @PiersMorgan tonight. I love you all so much, thank you for your love!”
Jill Responds to Paris:  Great job. Tell mom to call me if still in nyc?
Jill can never ignore a celebrity tweet, she just has to stick her nose in everything!  Paris never responds to Jill.

Jillzarin

I am almost at 140,000 followers. WOW! And around same on Facebook. Cool that they are around same. Most people have much more twitter?
To be exact, Jill has 139,396 followers on Twitter, if she wouldn’t block everyone she’d have a lot more!   For the record, Bethenny has 535,607 Twitter followers.   Jill has 134,088 “friends” on Facebook.  Bethenny has 638,129 “friends” on Facebook.   Bragging about followers and friends is not cool Jill.

Jillzarin

Don’t forget to sign up for my newsletter at jillzarin.com I will be answering certain accusations made about me recently.

Jillzarin

Some people are so jealous and obsessed. Im flattered and my team say its good for brand.
I wonder who Jill is talking about?  For the record I can say with all sincerity that I am NOT jealous of Jill Zarin, nor am I obsessed with her.  I am jealous of Bethenny though! 🙂

Jillzarin

Waiting for ear doctor to flush out wax! I can make candle out of it there is so much!
Absolutely disgusting and way TMI Jill Zarin, what were you thinking Tweeting this?
Some Crazy Jill Fan said:  Jealous people who don’t even know they are jealous are so tiresome. Bravo to you Jill Zarin!”

Jillzarin

They know and have no soul
See above for the record, who would want to be Jill Zarin?  Seriously, she’s the most hated housewife and doesn’t recognize that celebrities run from her, she has no sense of humor, she isn’t funny at all, she’s not kind or empathetic, she lies and cheats to try to get ahead but is too stupid to get away with it.  Jill pushes herself on people, begs to be on TV shows, I honestly can’t think of one positive thing to say about her.  Who on earth would be jealous of this?    Ironic that Jill says her haters have no soul, Jill truly doesn’t have a soul.
Bingo! I have a million more google searches for Jill Zarin because of haters . I get paid based on it. Hah!
We know you do Jill Zarin, it’s all about the Benjamins, and you assured that any search of “I Hate Jill Zarin” is also directed to your site but don’t worry, they find me anyway.  You’re pathetic!

@JillZarin:  Meeting hugh jackman in 10 min. Excited!RT @Team_Jill_AUS “If only there was an Aussie auction for dinner with @Jillzarin xx http://www.charitybuzz.com/catalog_items/263182″

That was a sad attempt at tying in Hugh Jackman with your stupid auction.  I’m sure that I’m not the only one who noticed that Jill changed the beneficiary of her auction, it is no longer “Zarin Family Trust”.   Fascinating!

Don’t forget to bid on Jill’s auction, but you’ll have to buy her dinner!  haha

I really like it when Jill meets celebrities because we know how she acts and you just know these celebrities are absolutely mortified by her behavior.  They probably treat her like a crazed fan and then get away from her as quickly as possible.  Hugh actually looks a bit frightened.  Jill’s plastic surgery is so obvious in this photo, poor Hugh.

I can only imagine this poor guy is thinking to himself, what the hell am I doing here with a Reality Show Housewife?

Some other interesing Tweets:

mccordalexAlex McCord  Tweeted:

@ramonasinger NO, at that level of accommodation they always unpack 4u. It was very unfair of

LuAnn & they offered 2help us all.

A viewer said: I love @ramonasinger standing up for @SonjatMorgan on #wwhl`@bravoandy

@SonjaMorgan responded:

Thats what frds r 4 , noone is perfect
Idiotic Cindy Barshop just keeps making things worse:

CindyBarshop

@DENISE_RICHARDS omg everyone thinks u said I was crazy I think next time I will direct message 🙂
Nobody cares if Denise thinks you’re crazy Cindy, we all think you’re crazy!  You should always stick to DM’s if you’re going to act like a Jr. High student.  It’s ironic, isn’t it that Cindy mentioned on the show that the Blondes were acting like they were in High School.   This is the mother of twin 18-month old babies and owner of a successful business?  Oh and don’t forget Kelly was very impressed that Cindy once worked for IBM.   Even IBM’s Human Rescource Manager can make mistakes sometimes, just like Bravo’s casting people.
Why is Bravo having such a hard time finding some decent housewives?  Orange County has been a real problem, they’ve been through a lot of failures including this season’s newcomer Peggy Tanous, now New York cast Cindy Barshop.  What were they thinking?
Note to Bravo, just because someone has twins, doesn’t make them interesting.  Cindy’s business isn’t interesting either, did you even speak to her?  Her personality is so dull and she’s is such a complainer!  It makes sense that Kelly, Jill and Luann like Cindy, she’s not a threat to any of them, she isn’t fun or lively, she isn’t more attractive than the rest of the brunettes, she is really just a waste of a Housewives paycheck.
Ramona is in wine selling mode, she’s only tweeting about her appearances.  Her schedule of appearances to meet her and buy her wine can be found here:   http://opiciwines.com/ramona/
Ramona will be in Chicago on June 14, I’ll be there to meet her and welcome her to Chicago!  Hopefully I can get some good gossip from her too!
Ramona had her twitter war with Jill last week, she seems to be focusing on her tour even though Cindy continues to act like a big baby on Twitter with her constant nonsense about the hangers, Ramona is ignoring her, which is the way to go.
We’ve known Ramona for almost four years now, for the show and her cast mates to paint Ramona as an alcoholic is appalling!  The public can be so easily swayed and I can’t believe how many people are so rudely tweeting to Ramona that she’s an alcoholic.  It’s clear to me that this is just another case of Bravo editing.  Every time Ramona has a glass of wine in her hand or a cast mate mentions Ramona’s drinking wine, Bravo is sure to air it.  It seems to me that Sonja drinks more than Ramona and we’ve seen Sonja tipsy just as much as we’ve seen Ramona tipsy.
The blondes are definitly the fun crowd, Jills’ idea of a joke is asking if she looks like a bumble bee because she’s wearing a yellow t-shirt.  Luann responds, “well if I put wings on you”.  OMG falling down laughing, I can’t imagine the exciting fun the Blondes missed out on the first day in Morocco.  LuLu noted that their peace and quiet was gone as soon as the Blondes arrived, I think what she meant to say was the funeral was over and the boring brunettes were all fully prepared to be mortified by anything Ramona or Sonja had to say.  Luann complained when they arrived, then she complained when they went off on a fun outting without her.  Luann was going to bitch no matter what they did.
Reading @Bethenny ‘s book! Love it.. She is on w/ us fri  http://lockerz.com/s/106596379
Tonight part two of the Morocco trip on the Real Housewives of New York.  Stop back tomorrow for the IHJZ Blog.
Thanks to Boston02127 for the great hysterical photos!
Until Next Time…

Now, it’s my turn to be confused. “Burn book” … what is that?

I was hoping that they would teach about the city of Marrakesh and the people, but it seems that the interaction of the women is all the editors care about. Our minds are a terrible thing to waste.

  4. V-NY says:

awwwww Jill is so generous; she is indeed a philanthropist. I never once thought her trust was suspicious because she is a law abiding citizen. Her sister is a lawyer!

She’s a good woman inside and out and loves helping people in need. That is how society has benefited from her kind, caring and gracious heart. People who recieve from her are lucky because they were touched by her benevolence. Jill is a positve force in NYC society!

13 Hours Till RHONY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO TEAM JILL!

    • error404 says:

but Lisa actually went to law school, right? I mean, she’s not a “lawyer” in the same way she and Jill are “doctors”, right?

      • Golden Girl says:

        OMG LOL error!

      • V-NY says:

Yes, Lisa went to NYU school of law. However, Lisa’s knowledge spans many fields beyond law.
Some Jewish people like to educate themselves further then what school requires. I was impressed by how much she(Jill) knew about teeth! It’s one of the many secrets( of a Jewish Mother) that she bestows to the viewers and ultimately the world. They call themselves dwds- doctors without degrees because they have to know everything about everything in the field of medicine and dentristy. If you need a good doctor, ask Jill and she’ll direct you to where you need to go.
In fact, I have been reading my Biology textbook from my undergraduate studies in order to follow in her example. I felt it necessary to relearn the major concepts of biology because it is paramount to ensure that I have a healthy body.
Generally, Jews value education over everthing else; that’s why Jewish knowlege spans all major fields; they are scholars. She sets a good example for viewers both Jewish and gentile.

        • V-NY says:

Lisa can practice in both NYS and Connecticut; it’s also quite obvious that she passed the Bar exam.

          • Amber...Real Wife says:

And here I was thinking it was money! LOL I KID, I KID 😛

Well well well. If it isn’t Vincenzo or Vinny2cenz! Long time no post, good to see you back as there wasn’t enough love to the goddess of (two pounds of bologna in a one pound bag) SqueezCouture.

            • V-NY says:

I love the 2 lbs of baloney in a 1 lb bag!! Even though we disagree about Jill, you always make me laugh Amber!!!!! Your comments are too cute. lol.

I like Vinny2Cenz too!! That might be my new name here. As long as people recognize the V in my name, then they’ll know it’s me.

              • Amber...Real Wife says:

That was your Mob name I gave you. You should love it! 🙂

But if you continue to annoy the hens i’m gonna call you YakovSmirnoff as a wannabe jew who is hitting the bottle! LOL

                Glad you like the moniker.

        • MsJxn says:

OMG!! You are so right!! I knew someone else like this, and rather than recognizing her wisdom and knowledge,….we referred to her as a KNOW-IT-ALL. Different perspectives I guess. Some how I don’t see JZ hitting the books,…or googling anything but this site and her own name,….I think she was just “gifted” with all of this knowledge. Hummmm,..Now I get it.

        • boston02127 says:

Well…thankfully for that bit of info. Without Jewish people, the world would be an uneducated shit hole.

          • Sparkles says:

I will assume that your joke is not intended to belittle the Jewish peoples’ significant contributions to civilization, including in the fields of science and medicine. The Jewish culture certainly does emphasize education, and Jews have won more Nobel prizes than any other ethnic group. Given that Jews comprise less than 1/4 of 1 percent of the world’s population, their accomplishments are impressive, including the theory of relativity (Einstein), the polio vaccine (Salk/Sabin), psychotherapy (Freud), etc.
But I think you are just kidding around, I’m sure. 🙂
            Cheers!

        • klmh says:

You are the best laugh I’ve had today! Tx!
I do take you you are jewish, no?

    • boston02127 says:

@V-NY —I’m not sure if you’re serious, kidding or being sarcastic with your “GO TEAM JILL” on this board or if you’re just a ball buster.

There is a site out there for Jill lovers, you’d have about 12 other people to share your love for the vile pig she is on that site cuz nobody here can stand her.

      • V-NY says:

Listen, I do have some negative comments about JZ too. I just don’t care to share them because we all make mistakes. She has many lessons to learn;however, everyone has many lessons to learn in life. Change does not happen over night. Jill can turn her lessons into a positve experience because when it is all over, she’ll be a butterfly.
Also, the other blog is not well known yet, and I prefer to discuss all the housewives in one big megablog. Go Lynn!

        • Debbie says:

          V-NY,
You can’t be serious? You actually made my blood boil with your statements re:JZ.
“It’s one of the many secrets( of a Jewish Mother) that she bestows to the viewers and ultimately the world.”
You must be kidding. Tell me you’re kidding, please?
That book of dreck that she had published along with her condescending attitude and appalling behavior are an embarrassment to Jewish Mothers everywhere. If anything, she’s managed to fully conform to the opposite side of the Jewish Mother spectrum.. Overbearing, nosy, ill-mannered, vile, loud-mouthed and manipulative.

          • V-NY says:

I have another book called,”Raising a Child with Soul.” It’s a very good book based on Jewish wisdom. As for SOJM, Some of the advice is very good, and some of it isn’t the best approach for me. I don’t think Jill, Gloria Kamen, or Lisa represent all Jewish women and mothers alike. I am sorry that you feel that way about Jill.

            • quincyil says:

Jill tweated recently that her haters (I think she means Lynn and the rest of us here) have no souls. My interpretation of this statement is we are animals.

You are using this site to get your thoughts out because Lynn has a lot of hits.

I may be wrong, but I think this is what you are doing.

              • V-NY says:

Quincy, I really like reading all of your posts regarding your husband’s culture. I like how you are a multidimensional poster, and you try to educate us beyond the housewife realm.
I also find that many of your posts to be intriguing and quite refreshing. I value your insights.

You frequently say that opinions are welcome, and this is a free opinion zone, but do you really practice or believe those posts?
Don’t I deserve the same respect and courtesy as a person who has something negative to say about Jill?
Wasn’t this blog created because Bravo usually censors the comments on its website? My comments on a Bravo blog never appear either! This particular blog does not value censorship, so therefore all comments are welcome, including mine. You are entitled to whatever you think of me, but I do value you with high esteem.

I also think ravenous paranoia about what I do and who I am is a little old at this point in the game.
Also, to make a point, my posts about the other housewives are generally positve. Yes, I do like gossip and that’s why I enjoy this blog because of all the extra behind the scene gossip I get to read and the insight that is also provided. I may not agree with Lynn a hundred percent of the time, but since this is her blog, I believe that the least she deserves from me is respect. I also believe that all of you deserve the same respect as well. I may not always agree with your opinions about Jill, but I am not going to attack people because I maintain that respect is a integral part of the creation of this blog.

I just want you to be clear. You don’t agree with Lynn or the people here, but you are using this site for your own agenda.

I did not show you disrespect, but I will tell you that I think you are very disrepectful of the majority of the people here.

BTW, I read the comments that you wrote about people here on your twitter when you left before.

Feel free to comment, but know that I realize that you have an agenda.

I generally just skip your comments so they don’t bother me. It’s only when you get into discussions with others that I read the threads if I am watching the board.

                  Q

                  • V-NY says:

You can call me disrespectful or whatever you want. I never said a negative thing about anyone here on my twitter. I even recommended people to this site. I did not even have many followers.
If you don’t like me or my comments, then you don’t have to respond. You can carry on the way you did before.

Just because someone disagrees with Lynn and the majority does not make them automatically a troll ,an assistant to Jill, someone with an agenda, or disrespectful.

There may be people who do share my opinions, but they may be afraid to state their opinion.

A lurker who reads this blog found me on FB and she said that she used to post, but unfortunately she felt attacked when she posted a comment that may have differed with the majority. Is that fair to someone just because they see things differently?

                    • quincyil says:

                      No, it is not fair.

        • lovemamaearth says:

That’s all true, V. But Jill has been shown things she needs to learn and change, yet she continues to repeat them all, saying she can’t change, that she is who she is. No one HAS to change and obviously Jill doesn’t want to. She’s on a TV show to be talked about, and we’re all talking. She’s apparently thanked us for upping her pay.

I mean, I like bethenny and Alex and ramona, but I don’t create posts about them pretty much comparing them to a saint! I thunk u just come up with what u think of a post that will get the Jill haters going and then sit back and see how many responses u can get. I hate that I even responded this time…it won’t happen again! Lol

I still don’t get your love for Jill Zarin, but in my memory or at least my perception, I recall you talking about many things beyond JZ. If I remember correctly, you came on board around RHOA.

Maybe I am being naive, but I just don’t see you as a disruptive force on this blog. I think many of the usually posters at one time or another have locked horns. Normally, it blows over by the next blog but in your case since the discourse is over JZ, it tends to surface a bit more.

            • V-NY says:

@RR: I think you are just more open to others and their beliefs. There is nothing wrong if someone is less tolerant of others. It is just a lesson in their life.

    • skogsstig says:

Vinny – I find YOU endearing, Jill not so much. Just do me a favor. When you watch her tonight, please keep in mind what she said int the Aol video:

“I’m Jill Zarin from the Real Housewives of New York City. And you’ve got…conflict resolution.
The premise of New York City was never for all of us to be Kumbayah friends, but it is about alliances. So I have a couple of friends. And this season it is about the brunettes versus the blondes. Everybody talks about talking behind each other’s backs and gossip and I mean, really, the premise of the show is to talk to each other and to talk behind each other’s backs. So when the women start saying “You talked about me” and “You talked about me,” I think it’s so RIDICULOUS because that’s what the TELEVISION show is about. A bunch of hypocrites. I make the analogy of Real Housewives like summer camp and some of the girls you get along with all of the time and some of the girls not so much and some of the girls you sort of want to throw out of the box. But since you know you’re coming back next summer, you can’t, and you have to try and get along. I miss some of my girls. I miss the brunettes, and you know what? Caalll me, we got to have lunch.

I think the biggest lesson I learned from the show is to have a higher tolerance. Don’t be so sensitive and to let things go. Last year it was hard for me, because I was holding on to a lot of anger and resentment. I mean it is what it is. I don’t apologize for that. I felt what I felt. So this season I think I’m a lot more mellow. Except for when it comes to RA-MOONA.”

Kind, caring, gracious and benevolent? I’m sorry to say I don’t see how that fits with her statement above, but let’s see if we see that tonight. And let’s see if she’s “mellow” when interacting with any of the blondes.

  5. boston02127 says:

Does anyone know when (date) the Zarin Family Fund at The New York Community Trust was established?

  6. FLG says:

This is an interesting feature of Donor-Advised Funds:

    Flexibility and Privacy
Donor-advised funds also offer account holders some additional flexibility and help protect their privacy.

There is NO REQUIREMENT FOR ANNUAL DISTRIBUTIONS from an account at a Donor-advised fund, while foundations ARE REQUIRED to distribute at least 5% of their assets each year.

  7. FLG says:

The privacy issue is one that catches some philanthropists by surprise. Many are unaware when they set up a foundation that its tax forms will be made public, exposing details of the foundation’s operations and even some personal information. No such information is available for accounts at donor-advised funds.

  8. TEB2350 says:

To quote Bethenny- Jill can’t get out of her own way. She really is pathetic.

  9. housewifeaddict says:

Well I am glad that Jill has either now set up a charitable trust – or modified her family trust into a charitable trust. It would have been extraordinarily unethical to “raise” money for herself in the guise of charity diner auctions, etc. If the articles and comments on this site caused her to do the right thing then GOOD.

If it was already a charitable trust – then she should have said that right up front. Since she didn’t – many people (including myself) are going to hold on to the opinion that the money wasn’t going to charity until people started asking questions.

    • T-REX says:

Well leave it to JZ to make herself look important when she isn’t. I looked at the Trust website and there are hundreds of Family trusts that are a part of this charity. While the charity looks like it’s a good one, and from what I read it is, but it’s also a place that one would place a Family Fund to get their name recognition out there, since there hundreds of family trusts listed. We don’t know how much monies have been donated to the NY Trust from the Zarin Family Fund, they are just listed as being a donor.

      • quincyil says:

That’s what I thought too. The Zarins are donors. I think Jill using trust in Zarin Family Trust was a mistake on her part.

    • alicia says:

I only support a charities that I’m really familiar with. Living in palm beach county we are approached frequently for donations. “The hole in the wall gang”
charities established by Paul Newman are wonderful. We have one in Eustis, florida called”The Boggy Creek Camp”. It was established so families with ill children can take a break from treatments and enjoy a camp- type atmosphere. They organize it by the type of illness the child has so they can have other children to relate to. Anyhoo- if you have extra$$$ please send it to this camp- not Jill Zarin. Everytime I have alittle windfall I try to give it to them. Thanks for listening!!!

      • Suzieq says:

I donate to something similar…Kidd,s Kidd’s….ran by a local radio station DJ in Dallas. They r very open with the fact that there is One person who gets paid (she does all of the book keeping for the charity) and the rest is 100% used for the charity….sending terminally I’ll kids and their families to Disney world. I don’t have very much money at all, but every year I give money for this. I like trusting that my mOney is going to the cause and not in someones pocket. I can’t imagine donating to a profit charity. 😦

        • alicia says:

Good for you! Let’s give to some of these charities directly, instead of counting on celebrities to pass on the money. I did see a mention of CharityWater in vogue yesterday, wasn’t that the charity Kelly twittered about?

        • codystl says:

Suzieq – I used to live in Dallas and miss Kidd Kraddick in the morning. Are Kelly and Al still there?

          • Suzieq says:

Yes they r!! They r always rotating through a couple of “kids”, but the main 3, Kidd, Kelly, and al are still there. Love them!

    • twoile says:

      @HWA, ITA!!!!!!!!!!!

      • MAMAZ says:

Yeah, I’m still not buying JZ as a great philanthropist.

        • quincyil says:

Luann made a comment aobut blood and money for donations. I think it’s expensive to go and be seen at all of those charity events. Jill’s Creaky Joints charity cost Ramona $5,000. Ramona bought a table and invited Sonja Alex and friends to one event. I am sure it cost Ramona thousands for that table.

  10. Caitlin says:

Thanks for all the great research and hard facts on JZ, Lynn and Q!!! And the best “payback” for the Jill Zarins of the world is to carefully compare what she says she is about (which you posted above – thanks again) with what she actually says and does on the show. In this respect, Jill is her own very worst enemy, and what we might have to say about her pales in comparison to how she makes a hypocrite out of herself time and time again. At least she is reliable in that respect! And I agree about the outrageous character assassination of Ramona – it is infuriating that they (the Bravo editors) feel they have to twist “reality television” in this fashion for “entertainment” purposes. It is not entertaining to me – and I have good company here it seems. Moreover, this tactic insults my intelligence – aaarrrggghhhh!!! More Jill/Luann/Kelly/Cindy tonight…… my poor stomach. And I thank you, again, for this wonderful venue. I get more entertainment and information here than on all of Bravo programs combined!

    • quincyil says:

I didn’t do any research until after all of this was out. I just googled that New York Community Trust as anyone can do.

I google and read Jill’s Tweets becasuse she is a reality star on the program we write about.

  11. FLG says:

Let’s play make believe for a few moments. I decide that I’m paying way too much money in taxes and have holdings that are subject to long term capital gains taxes. (HORRIBLE SITUATION, BTW.) So I decide to set up either a foundation or a donor-advised fund. I don’t want everybody in my business, so I choose the latter. Let us further pretend that Hubs and I have a daughter (never happening, since we are both gay guys). She’s a lovely creature named Kally. Kally is young, educated and energetic. She is genuinely interested in the ways of the world and wants to do something productive with her youthful life. So she starts up a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Now she elects herself CEO/COO of this organization. Now Kally kind hearted as she is cannot live on air alone, so as the CEO/COO, she is allowed to be paid a salary. Now kind hearted, energetic, lovely Kally doesn’t have any money of her own so I, concerned, loving, gay daddy-big-heart-big bucks direct that my donor-advised fund direct its attention and money to kind hearted Kally’s 501(c)(3). Well, as things would turn out, one of the things I failed to teach kind hearted Kally was how to live frugally. So she has to give herself a big raise in salary. With her 501(c)(3) she is allowed to do that. It eats up about 80-90% of the 501(c)(3)’s available funds, but kind hearted Kally does pony up the remaining 10-20% and gives it to another 501(c)(3) charity. Now this defies all recommendations for overhead costs that should govern anyone else from donating to Kally’s 501(c)(3), but it is all perfectly legal.

    • housewifeaddict says:

Yes – which is why most people donate to legitimate charities – for instance on Celebrity Apprentice – all of the charities they pick have been around for a long time.

It defines logic that Jill thought she could get away with this. Even the link on the Charity Buzz auction to the Zarin Family Trust does no where – other actions on that site benefit real charities.

Do I believe the Zarin Family Trust will give to real charities – yes – only because of the public pressure now on it.

Do I believe it wasn’t a charity until people started asking questions – yes.

      • FLG says:

But please remember that as a donor-advised fund they are not REQUIRED to make annual distributions.

        • FLG says:

Now, that can be a good thing as well. It does give the donor-advised fund time to grow its nest egg, perhaps suspending donations during times of financial losses, etc. Flexibility can be a good thing. I have also seen it not work so well and be used for self serving purposes. I am not accusing anyone of anything. Just examining some possible scenarios.

        • housewifeaddict says:

Oh don’t get me wrong – anyone would be a fool to give them money and expect it to go to charity – however public scrutiny may tip things in a positive direction.

Basically I’m saying I’m glad she got busted, and she’s be a fool to try to keep up the charade. But I totally understand your point that given her past history – we can expect her to be a fool and try to keep the money for herself and there are legal loopholes to help her do it.

    • Caitlin says:

Wow! Entirely plausible, and I’ll bet it happens more often than we know. What makes matters worse is that we’ve had so much “deregulation fever” over the last several years that people could get away with this sort of b.s. ad infinitum.

    • butterisafruit says:

That’s a great explanation. You’re really good at this, Thanks.

I knew there was a way for it to be legit but still unethical.

    • T-REX says:

Exactly FLG! Seen it before too! That’s why many times you will hear when a tragedy has occurred, earthquake, floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, etc. from folks is to be wary as to where you send your charitable donations. I know that our Local TV stations have done exposes on the subject and you would be surprised at how many 501(c) charities give a small fraction of their donations to actual charity. 501(c) charties I believe are obligated to tell you what percentage of their incoming donations are spent on actual donations and what is spent on Staff, legal fees, etc.

      • FLG says:

Plus how large their “nest eggs” have grown, monies never having been distributed to the suffering people for whom those donations were intended to benefit. I have been in earthquakes, tornadoes and a lot of hurricanes and I have yet to receive the first ice cube from any charity.

        • quincyil says:

I listen to political talk shows on the radio. I think I remember a discussion when Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi were in Congress passing tax laws and they both had these trusts. At the time, in one year for a million dollar trust, Hillary had only put out less than ten thousand..which could have been nothing, but that was the box the accountant had checked.

I bet Republican and Democratic elected officials do this.

Jill is not a positive or admirable example for emulation. To Jill, her fans are only numbers by which she measures her popularity. She is the NY housewife who begs on a regular basis for fans with promises of super secret, exclusive information! She lies, she trys to damage other peoples’ reputations and livelihoods and refuses to take responsibility for what she does or causes. Smart people spend their time avoiding people like Jill. You can’t love her, you can’t trust her and others’ good deeds don’t go unpunished.

    • T-REX says:

Yep, and look at her book, never made it out of the toilet, she does not have “book signings” set up outside of Synagogues, only the NY/NJ area, doesn’t even have a second book deal, no one wants to ready about her! Bethenny has book signings and even a one-woman show that is “sold out” everywhere she decides to speak. Bethenny is not begging people on twitter to notice her, and does not update every single moment of her life, nor does she “pretend” to know everything under the sun like JZ. JZ is her own worst enemy, she tries too hard, but tries in all the wrong ways to be liked.

      • housewifeaddict says:

I read your first sentence, and all I could think of was the episode of Seinfeld where George took the book to the toilet to read, and it got tagged by the store and he had to buy it. OT – but it game me a laugh.

This is but one way that the rich in this country are retaining their wealth. I am quite familiar with the story that I related above. I have personally seen the above situation unfold. I thought you all might want to consider it as just one of the many possible outcomes of what wealth and charity can be in this country or ours. I would also like to remind everyone that an auction operation, while distributing money to charities can also be a FOR PROFIT organization.

    • housewifeaddict says:

As far as your last sentence goes – I don’t have a problem with that. The auction company provides a service and can charge a reasonable fee. It would be no different than a YMCA (non profit) hiring a company to coordinate an event. But the proceeds raised from the event should go to the non-profit.

      • FLG says:

I agree, as long as the salaries paid to the executives are not excessive.

        • FLG says:

I wouldn’t give money to any organization who’s CEO was responsible for the largest dot com failure in US history. Especially when that organization is a FOR PROFIT one. Hubs lost many poo loads of money during the day trading craze. I love him dearly and he wanted to “invest” my money for me. I politely declined and because of that we will be having to retire on my tiny nest egg. He has been very good to me and I don’t know of many people who would take on a spinal cord injury survivor as a “spouse”, but when it comes to financial matters he now defers to me.

With that being said, people aren’t going to like this, and you may not either, but when you say things every time someone comes to Jill’s defense, or how you just read that email above, then say “it must be Jill’s assistant” is making you look ridiculous.
You know Jill, she wouldn’t anyone complimenting you, your blog, ANYTHING.
The Jillousy does have fans. I’m sorry but I’m the only one who has the balls to tell you this.

    • Amber...Real Wife says:

I don’t think Lynn was ridiculous to believe it could be Jill’s asst. sending the email. It was very informative and gave the impression that although it was trying to get dirt on Jill, they were trying to appease Lynn at the same time. Of course Jill has fans, many visit and post here daily, but why choose to be anonymous. Her fan base is quite rabid, why not declare themself to get the love of JillZarin? It sounds like a plant, made to silence the inquiries into the Zarin trust issues even providing numbers to verify.

On the other hand if it was a Lynn poster, why so shy? They could’ve identified themselves to Lynn and i’m sure Lynn would’ve protected their privacy if desired. It was a little suspicious so i’m going to agree with Lynn. It was either an employee, family member, friend, or known fan, but definitely with Jill’s permision if not her behest.

    • kitkat says:

WHy do you feel the need to tell us this? I don’t believe she has any fans besides her family and friends. “I’m sorry but I’m the only one who has the balls to tell you this.” WHY do you need to go on a “I Hate JZ” blog and post this? I don’t understand your purpose…and I for one, agree that the email was written by an assistant of The Evil One. She does nothing all day but plant phony stories and post under phony aliases all day.

      • vilzvet says:

I’m with you guys, our fave expression applies here: “This has Jill’s grubby fingerprints all over it”.

        • MAMAZ says:

Sorry if I’m stopping you from patting yourself on the back or scratching your balls, whatever it is you’re doing. The not all trolls are JZ/assistants idea has been pointed out many times.

Some trolls just want to cause trouble. They aren’t really for any side. If you wanted to cause trouble on an I Hate Jill Zarin site of course you would pretend to like JZ. Not all trolls that post here really like JZ. Not all of them are asstistants to Shrill. Lynn isn’t suggesting they are. Lynn has access to the ISP info of the posters here. She may know more than you think.

      • kitkat says:

I AGREE! NO fans for Jill Zarin! NOPE! She can’t sell books, she can’t sell bedding, she can’t sell herself as a host on that stupid “news” on NBC New York (LX New York, I think). SHe is such a fool, she went and crapped herself BIG TIME the same year she had a book coming out and all these great ideas in the works. After her 1st season, she really could have been someone in media, but she crashed and burned on an UNBELIEVABLE level. I don’t think she has ANY fans besides her immediate family and very few friends.

  19. T-REX says:

Since I don’t want to respond to the inter-loper above. Question I have been pondering, why do trolls come to blogs, boards, etc. and make up a name that clearly gives everyone the heads up that they are here to stir up trouble? Seriously, do you folks really think that’s clever? It’s not, just an FYI! It makes you look ridiculous and I sometimes wonder how these folks made it out of the 8th grade since they are still there mentally.

    • FLG says:

      Good one T-Rex!

    • WindyCityWondering says:

As Kelly would say, “Trolls are part of the ecosystem!” – we can ignore them, bait them or play along with them. Causing chaos is their goal and sometimes they are amusing. I just won’t feed them but know we have fabulous troll slayers that deal with them for us.

      • FLG says:

            • Mookies1mom says:

Being from the south as well, I know what you mean. But “bless your heart” has sooo many different meanings depending on the context in which it is used.

ROFL Well that does change the demographics of Jillzy’s fans from age 12 to 14!

      • quincyil says:

FLG, will you be my BFF. Honestly, is you will just move the prairie and into the old farm house down the lane from me, my life would be wonderful.

        Q

        • FLG says:

I very humbly accept your generous offer Empress. We are now officially BFF’s. I’ll have to check with Hubs regarding the farm house, but it would suit me just fine. Do you have any good thrift stores in the area? I’m sure I wouldn’t want to put our Florida decor in a lovely farm house and I’m not so good at schlepping these days…..

          • quincyil says:

There are tons of antique stores and thrift shops. There are auctions all of the time where big city dealers come to buy dishes and art.

I will help you fix up the farm house. We can gut the inside and make it any style that you like. We are the children of a builder so there is nothing we can’t do when it comes to construction. People go to St. Louis and Chicago for weekends so you can easily find crowds if you wish to be in crowds.

If you are happy and I am happy our hubs will be happy. Of course, we will ignore them a lot and have fun shopping with each other. LOL.

            • FLG says:

I like that plan a lot! Hubs likes to tinker with remodeling too, so we can wind the hubs up and let them do their thing and:
              a shopping we will go,
              a shopping we will go,
              high ho the merry o,
              a shopping we will go!

  21. AZ Girl says:

@ V-NY a/k/a Vinney: I understand that you like Jill and want to give her a positive spin. I find your love for Jill interesting when there are so many examples of Jill’s behavior which show that she is just not a nice person. Examples that are on film and thanks to Bravo shown on a regular basis.

She is a person with an agenda. An agenda to promote “Jill” as much as she can. To do so Jill uses those around her i.e. Kelly, Luanne, Bobby, Allison, Lisa and her mom. For those who are not on “Team Jill” they are taken down. For example, Bethenny, Simon, Alex and Ramona. She plants nasty lies in the papers and calls them profane names. I have never call any individual a “F###king B##tch” ever and especially in public AND ON FILM. Why do you think this is cool?????

Some day, as a fan, your path will cross with Jill’s and I hope you are not shunned by Jill which she does so often to those to recognize her. No person should treated like Jill treats others.

    • V-NY says:

      Hi AZgirl
      Ty for your post.
I understand why you dislike her; however, I dwell on the positve aspects of her personality and the good that she has done. It’s not my goal to convince people that she is a good person; I try my best to see the good in everyone. After I judge(Which I do as well), I try to see where I can change and do some inner work. Because when I and judging someone else, I am really looking at a mirror.
I called Caroline controlling a couple of days ago. You know what, I can be controlling too. I am aware that can be like that. I also thought she thinks she is superior to everyone, and guess what? I act that way at times too. I know that these are my lessons in life to learn. I also know that I have yet to fully release some of these behaviors.

I gg tho. I can’t keep up as I used too. These eyes need glasses!!!

      Have a wonderful day everyone!!!
      peace
      Vinny2cenz-haha ty Amber.

It takes chutzpah to admit one’s personality flaws, and I am grateful that I can look at my flaws and laugh because I can change them.

So, when I look at Jill, I see a broken inner child that needs healing. Love is the path to healing, and it mends all wounds. When we truly love each other, the world will be a better place.

      • quincyil says:

Well, that was very helpful in understanding you, Vinny. I wish you would have said this a long, long time ago.

        Q

      • quincyil says:

Vinny, you explained your reasons rather just stating facts that we interpreted differently. This is the way to deal with this board and with the people in your own reality. It will help you to understand yourself and the reactios of others to you.

        Good job…

        Q

        • FLG says:

Loud Applause to Vinny and Empress Q!

        • V-NY says:

I have alot of love in my life. I have a caring family and some wonderful friends. We do have our differences, but eventually we learn from each other, and we move foward. And by reading your posts, I’m sure that you are a wonderful lady with a big heart. I am sorry that Jill offended you by her comments. Perhaps writing a lovely email to her will change things.

  22. butterisafruit says:

Considering Jill’s reputation, I have no doubt it was her or her staff.
Look at the disgrace she made of herself on Amazon. Faking names
    and trashing known critics.
And who else has this information anyway? This is the first it’s
been publicized, It has to be her. They can come up with all the
corny little quips they want. Despite her constant affirmation,
She doesn’t “Own” anything she does.

    Anonymous Thy Name is Jill

BTW the writer didn’t give a source for her information, just a
site to compete in the auction.

  23. quincyil says:

I would like Jill Zarin to apologize for this:

    Jillzarin Jill Zarin
They know and have no soul RT @NicholeRhodes “@Jillzarin jealous people who don’t even know they are jealous are so… http://tl.gd/ar74ip
    18 hours ago

I study history and this business of saying that some other Human being has no soul always leads to destruction. The Nazis said it about the Jews in the Holocaust. That just breaks my heart right there.

The Israeli soldiers said it to a doctor here in Quincy from Palestine when he was a boy. That leads to 60 years of death and destruction. If you think a child is less because of his parents, how can you deal with him as an adult.

Animals have no souls so anytime one group of people feels the need to be superior to the other, they say these things.

    All people have souls.

Jill is probably the meanest of all of the reality starts under Bravo contract, but I would never say that she has no soul.

    • VAgirl says:

Quincy, I hope Jill apologizes for it, but I don’t think she cares who she hurts really. She rationalizes everything she says and does.

      • quincyil says:

I think Jill feels superior to others and that doesn’t bother me because a lot of people do that. She never does any deep thinking. She uses obsenities and insults and then gets upset when someone calls her on a statement that she made and is on film.

I don’t think someone is less than me because of their race, religion, education, culture, ….. I truly believe that we are all related. When people like Jill become famous, they have a responsibility to do good. Yet, we see the things she does to others and we know these things are bad.

I would love to have a conversation with Jill Zarin. I would love Lynn to be there. I think Jill should have said she was wrong to do what she did to Bethenny and Alex and then gone into therapy to try and become a better person. Bobby should get rid of all of the PR people and send Jill to a retreat for mind, body and soul.

        Q

    • Christine says:

Quincy, ITA about Jill but I want to believe that my dear, sweet and loving hooved and pawed ones have the purest souls. God just couldn’t make these creatures as wonderful as they are only to leave them in limbo. JMHO and I have a deep need to believe in this.

      • quincyil says:

When the Catholic Church said there was no Limbo, I was devestated because growing up, our priest told us that our animals went to Limbo when they died and we could go to heaven, but drop down into Limbo to visit and play with our animals. It makes the loss of animal easier if you think you will be with them again.

So..heck with the modern Catholic theology…I say they are in Limbo and everyone can go and play with their pets for eternity.

        Q

        • twoile says:

@Q, I 2 was taught similarly & choose 2 believe that heaven wouldn’t b heaven if one didn’t have all forms of loved ones.:0)

        • Nancy says:

          Q,
God wouldn’t have made the relationships we have with our pets to not have us reunited with them in the after life. Period.

      • Mookies1mom says:

I believe that my dear Mookie and his sister have more soul in the tip of their tails than Jill has in her whole body. They don’t hold grudges unless it dinner time.

    • FLG says:

An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth……..
That road leads to a blind and toothless society.

Do I see Jill as a broken child? Yes.
Do I see her doing the work to mend the break? Not so much.
Do I see Bethenny as a broken child? Yes.
Do I see her doing the work to mend the break? Absolutely.

Similar situations, different approaches, different outcomes.

      • quincyil says:

In Bethenny’s case the people around her hold her accountable for her behavior. Jason and Julie have stopped her or told her to get control. The therapist does the same.

Jill is surrounded by people who enable her behavior and in the case of Bobby, encourage the behaviors. I think Jill’s sister tried to deal with Jill and for a time they did not speak, but now she just pats Jill on the hand and supports her.

I grew up broken and I read a lot, married a mature Human being and listened to him. Being a parent helped me become a better person. Being a granmother makes me want to help all of the children on the planet.

        Q

      • Mookies1mom says:

Absolutely! Right on the mark with that statement.

    • Di says:

      Hi Q,
Please don’t let what JZ says effect you too much. She doesn’t think before she speaks. She’s thoughtless. I personally wouldn’t care what she says because you know she’ll say the exact opposite soon.

We don’t need JZ’s approval. In fact we’re in really good company if we’re her next enemy.

PS. Thanks for all your recaps & posts. You always have great info.

      • quincyil says:

It’s not that she said it about us or me. It’s that she could think of a Human being in this way.

I see atrocities all over this planet. Slavery exists today too. In each case, the person with power thinks the person the wish to harm is not equal or of value.

I saw that in the Susan Saunders attacks at Amazon and was shocked. Who does that to someone?

    • Nancy says:

      All animals have souls.
Do you not think that? I’m confused.

      • quincyil says:

In the Catholic Church the soul was first given to Adam and Eve to distinguish them from God’s other creations.

All animals have their own life forces. I think we can call that animal souls and be safe when it comes to philosophy and religion.

        • MsJxn says:

JZ has a soul,…as every human God created,.with the gift of free will,…….what JZ lacks,….is personal insight, and a conscience.

  24. Rabble Rouser says:

For some reason, the audacity of Jill Zarin tweeting Sean Hannity about the ‘virgin checks’ and wanting to be on his show to discuss it, really…really infuriates me.

Who does she think she is? Why does she think she is an authority on everything?

I really don’t want to get too political here but if there is going to be a meaningful discussion about it, I want to hear from the voices of Muslim women who have been subjected to this. These women aren’t just victims but political activists, who want to be heard. How dare Jill Zarin try to stand in front of them and exploit them even further in her quest to promote herself.

This is a total repeat of her anti-bullying campaign where it was nothing more than a facade to get her into the spot light, create another chapter in her stupid book- not to mention her little twit-ers harassing anyone who Lynn interviewed saying how they were pro-bullying by being associated with a hate blog- at the same time they were running a smear campaign (even though it was weak, pathetic and never got of the ground because no one was buying into their crap) and insulting Simon on twitter.

Good grief, every time I type JZ’s name, I feel like I need to take a bath. I can’t stand her.

    • quincyil says:

I have not heard about these Virgin checks and I certainly don’t know about many things. I do know people from many Middle Eastern countries though. I never heard about this from the many friends I have.

This is the kind of comments that makes my husband mad. Bad things happen in every country. There are bad things happening here like child abduction and sex slave industries that Oprah mentioned in her final show.

I think this is a passing phase for Jill like the anti bullying conference/fundraiser. She’s probably an expert like her family are like doctors and dentists.

    • Suzieq says:

That is amazingly well put. How can ANYONE watch and listen to this horrid women and like or side with her in any way?? I always get so so so angry that she can get away with the things she does….I think she should be very grateful that she’s not a real celebrity…because if she was, she would be called out on ALL of her horrible behavior by all major media outlets just like real celebs do.

      • MAMAZ says:

3 sentences. An entire thesis of wisdom.

If Jill does choose to enter into the discussion, I hope she befriends them better than she did her gay brothers and sisters. While she talked about her “gay husband” to the cameras, she hosted a fund raiser at her Hamptons home for for a closet case governor under which gay rights in Florida was set back at least twenty years. Yes Charlie Crist, I am talking about YOU. I personally saw you and Mark Foley in gay bars in Coconut Grove. Have I ever seen you pick up a gay boy? No. But to sign into law bills that prohibit gay marriage, civil unions and the adoption of needy children into loving homes by gay couples. Hypocrisy thine name is Jill Zarin and Charlie Crist.

    • quincyil says:

I wrote about this ages ago and I don’t think you were here. My mom had 5 babies in 7 years and she almost died with blood clots. My dad has to work two full time jobs and my grandmother had sever heart trouble and died so my mom was in real trouble. Two female coworkers who happened to be gay saved our family. They took care of my mom and all of us small children. To this day we all say that we would not have made it without them. My mom could have died trying to take care of us and she is 79 and healthy today.

I think I knew from that time, that it’s in your heart that matters. My mom spent her whole life trying to help people in the Post Office and in her non work like. I am so glad she had friend to help her when she needed help.

      • FLG says:

Thank you for reposting that for me. I was born in the South and remember segregation. I saw with my own eyes the actual signs at water fountains and restrooms. I personally witnessed churches that refused to admit African American members, but employed them as janitors and handymen. Luckily my parents began my education about hypocrisy then and there. Everyone was welcome in our home. I can’t being to tell you how many straight neighbors we’ve had over the years that seem amazed at “how normal” Hubs and I are. I have a short fuse when it comes to discrimination based upon labels. It’s shorter than Cedric’s.(I couldn’t resist that reference! Sorry Cedric.) When we went through hurricane Wilma, I helped deliver buckets of water from the swimming pool to some of the older ladies who lived in the building, so they could flush their toilets. It was an eleven story building. They certainly didn’t care about my sexual preference when I carried the water up the stairs because the back up generator had run out of diesel fuel and the elevators weren’t working.

I never thought about the problems of the older people in those apartment buildings.

Our Walmart is collectting for Joplin. I asked the truck driver taking stuff there what they need and it was simple stuff like diapers, baby food and things for kids so I went to the baby deptment and bought stuff for the shipment.

One guy gave tarps and rope. He thought people might try to save some of their belongings. That was so smart.

It sounds your parents are/were wonderful people who’s open hearts allowed them to embrace all kinds of people. I have to wonder if Charlie had them as his parents, would he still be the same or would he be closer to the man you are who is not afraid to love himself and his partner.

Some of my gay friends have been in relationships longer than my marriage. I can’t imagine the sheer gall of someone implying that a straight relationship should have more validity. As I typing this,I am thinking of one friend would would talk to me about her relationship with her partner and some of the issues they were having. Some of the issues and challenges mirrored those of other friends who are straight.

I find it so sad and troubling that even today, there are gay people who while aren’t closeted still feel like that have to be discreet because their might be backlash. Like Josh Flagg, who only ‘officially’ came out last season because he was concerned that it could hurt him professionally.

It’s hard to imagine that someone wouldn’t hire an agent because they are gay but at the same time they probably would have any qualms about hiring a gay decorator. Josh as been accused of stealing from his clients but fears his orientation will hurt him more? That makes me so sad.

The point is he got elected as Governor as a “single man” because many gays thought they had a “friend of Dorothy” in office and he would work to repeal the offensive legislation against Gays in our state. Does anyone have a theory as to why Jill bothered to do the fake apology to Alex? I think it was all part of the strategy she worked out with the rest of the evil pack. I beleive it was just another way to get Alex out of the way. As long as Alex was attacking Jill, Alex was relavent. Jill neutralized her. With Alex out of her way they moved on to the next stage of their plan, attack Romona. Jill is trying to ruin Romona the same way she tried to ruin Bethenny only now the numbers helping her are in her favor. Why would the horse faced newbie turn against Romona so quickly if in fact it was Romona who brought her into the group? This doesn’t make any sence to me. Jill had to convince her that she had to stick with Jill to be on the winning side. The only thing that makes sense is that they all know Romona is not coming back next season. What’ca all think?

    • FLG says:

By making up with Alex, I think it was part of Jill’s “I’ve changed” bus tour, with the added bonus of reducing Alex’s relevance. It seems to me that EVERY move Jill makes is calculated. Like a game of chess. She thinks she can play the game as well as Moshe Czerniak did. She can’t. She uses the other girls as pawns to help shield her as “Queen”. That hasn’t worked out too well for her either. Thus the Bethenny conflict blew up under foot like an IED. This season she totally planned to convince everyone that she had morphed from caterpillar to Butterfly. The trip to Australia was a break to double check strategy, giving her an edge to change courses if needed. Now her explanation is that they are supposed to back stab, but she always goes for the jugular, when lopping off a fingernail would suffice.

      • MAMAZ says:

And don’t forget she issued an it’s Alex or me ultimatum. When Shed put Alex on this season JZ had to pretend to accept her or admit that they called her bluff and she backed down.

Hi, not able to post with links today. I was goofing around and googled Franklin Lakes Newspapers. Check out the one for Bergen dot com. Has an article about Carolines new handbag line and another one talks about the wives showing up for a charity run, however it sounds like they were really only there to be filmed. I wonder if this will be shown this season?

I think the physic was wrong. Let’s see if @KellyBensimon gets pregnant & married within a year.

    • VAgirl says:

I think it’s in response to this article. Kelly says she’ll be preggers and married within the year and that she’s really really not a jealous person. Yeah right.

      http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20499163,00.html

      • VAgirl says:

Oh and she seems to be comparing herself to Kim Kardashian. Isn’t there at least a decade’s difference in their ages? Also, she looks like she has an adams apple in that picture. Sorry I usually try not to comment too much on people’s pictures/looks, but she just grates on my nerves. She and Cindy Barstool are just too easy to comment about.

      • PaganChick says:

Well, I guess she has to compare herself to Kim Kardashian otherwise she runs the risk of sounding envious of Bethenny and there is no way she could have that!

        • vilzvet says:

Wow, she thinks Kardashian is “unbelievable”?? That is a low bar. If you didn’t watch E you would have no idea who she was. And Kelly, you have six months to get someone to sleep with you, still be fertile and walk down the aisle.

      • Error404 says:

I’m just speachless. As soon as I read “Kelly thinks too much” my jaw dropped open and never snapped shut for the remainder of the article. It was just one “OMG she did NOTjust say that!” after another.

        • Rabble Rouser says:

For some reason, the sentence about Kelly thinking to much caused me to have a flash back of a Simpson’s episode where Homer was on a jury and looked to be deep in thought- but what was really going on in his head was the jingle from the cat food commercial ‘Meow, meow, meow-Meow, meow, meow-Meow, meow, meow”

        • FLG says:

When I read that line,(about Kelly thinking too much) I knew there was something rotten in Morocco…………..and I knew Ginger’s innards had nothing to do with it.

    • T-REX says:

Yep, same logic used by a lot of “teen” moms, get knocked up and the guy will marry you, while some of the guys did, as I can attest to my Reunion website, only 1 couple is still together after pulling this stunt in highschool.

      • T-Rex says:

Who would date much less marry the loon? Oh, I know – the guy riding the unicorn, shooting rainbows out his rear end and throwing back gummie bears and jelly beans with wild abandon! Maybe Kelly should ask the forture teller where she can find him…..

      • MAMAZ says:

I’m sorry but Kelly seems so sexually repressed I can’t imagine how she ever got pregnant with the two she already has.

        • alicia says:

It seems very telling that Kelly would want to emulate Kim. She sees herself as being in her twenties. You are in your forties chicka ! Get real!!! She had her chance to marry a guy her own age and make their fortunes together. Instead, she chose someone famous who was already established. I saw this happen alot when I went to college in Boca Raton- older guys residing there would pick off the prettiest girls and wisk them off to their Mc Mansions on the water. One of my friends in middle school met the inventor of Natilus gym equipment. She was 15 and he was in his 50’s. She married him at 18 and divorced him about 13 years ago. The May/December scenario never seems to work out. Interestingly, he did teach her how to fly jumbo jets and she still has a love of flying to this day.

  31. Kukulet says:

FOFL!! Kelly not jealous of people? She wants to skin Bethenny and wear her like last year’s Versace.

I’m always baffled why people like Jill and Kelly retreat behind the “Well, you’re just jealous of me” excuse. Which part of their lives are we supposed to envy? Is it the part where even strangers are repulsed by them? Maybe we’re “jealous” of their personalities?

That must be it. It must be true. We all must have unknowingly spent our entire lives praying to become paranoid narcissistic schizophrenics. Please, Lord, make it happen soon so we too can live in apartments in New York that looks like they were designed by Timothy Leary during a bad acid hangover.

    • quincyil says:

When you are in a discussion and someone like Jill throws the jealousy card out, you have to go back to your basic argument withou emotion and ignore that comment. That “you are just jealous” comment is their brain shutting down. They may be realizing that they are actually in the wrong so the try to run away with an insult.

Camille Grammer must have read a lot of self help books, because the person who “wins” in a discussion is the person who stayed on topic and did not allow herself to become emotional over a slight.

      • Amber...Real Wife says:

So as crazy and baiting as it appeared, Camille was probably right in her fight with Kyle. Kyle did either say it or infer the why are they filming in Hawaii if Kelsey’s not there. I always believed it as Kyle was very quick at the mouth and considered herself queen from the start.

        • WindyCityWondering says:

Kelly is not jealous of the person who put in the effort and hard work, but she can be jealous of what that person achieved without giving that person credit. This way she is not a hater. Her belief system is not that of a normal person.

        • quincyil says:

Yes. Camille was using her skills.

Camille took offence in Vegas, but it might not have been what Kyle said, but a reaction to body language and innuendo. We have all been with someone that conveys their inner thoughts without words. People do it with their eyes, movement of their hands, turning away, knodding the head. I think Kyle was thinking about her own need to be with Mauricios when she is on vacation with the kids and sharing that in some with with Camille who was already threatened by the change in Kelsey Grammer even if she did not know he was cheating. You can feel it when a man pulls away from you long before he leaves.

It’s going to be interesting to watch BH this year. I think Camille should call Lynn and the people of the IHJZ board for advice. I guess it’s too late because that show is almost in the can.

    • Sam says:

But Kelly admits that she’s jealous of people. In speaking about Kim K. in the People article she says, “”I’m not that jealous of many people – I’m just not a jealous person – but the fact that she’s so happy and engaged and found true love, I’m jealous. I am.”

So if someone is happy and in love, then Kelly is jealous of her , which means she wants what that person has — which is why I don’t think it’s a coincidence that now that Bethenny has a husband and a baby, Kelly is saying she’s going to get married and pregnant within a year.

(And there’s no way I believe that the “Moroccan” fortuneteller came up with those “predictions” on her own. She probably came straight out of Bravo’s casting office, script in hand.)

      • MAMAZ says:

I wouldn’t trade my life for Jill’s, Kelly’s LuAnns….Hell I really wouldn’t trade my life for anyone elses.
I like my life. Even with some of the bad stuff I’ve had to deal with. It all made me the person I am now.
        Nope, wouldn’t change a thing.
I don’t want to be them.

    • @home says:

“wear her like last year’s Versace.” LOL This is one of my favorite quotes in all of HW history. Most of the ones I like came from Bethenny, but that one I have to give Dina credit for. If only she had more to show for tv and could provide the fun commentary for Jersey.

    • kitkat says:

Don’t forget Teresa…wasn’t that her brilliant opening? Something like “People hate girls from NJ, but they’re just jealous”.

      • T-Rex says:

Yeah! Jealous that Teresa-Zilla spends money while they are going through Bankruptcy, that laundering money through his construction business failed(ok allegedly), bought the Pizza place to then run the “dirty money” through(allegedly) that doesn’t produce pizza, and they don’t even know where it is located unless film cameras bring them there.

  32. Kelly Anne says:

Lol! I’m an interior designer and I think it is hilarious how Jill and Kelly think they have good taste in decorating. Way over the top and gaudy.

I personally think Ramona has the best decorated apartment in NY and best house in the Hamptons. Sonja’s is nice for Park Avenue, and I hate to say it but Luann’s isn’t horrible.

As for the other shows, there are only a few houses I think are tastefully done. Lisa, Adrienne, Camille, and Sheree’s home (surprisingly), I think are well decorated.

    • quincyil says:

If you are watching Million Dollar Decorating, I hope you take the time to comments on those homes. So far, the general concensus is the celebrities are paying a lot for things we could find at thrift shops.

      • Kelly Anne says:

It was particularly hard for me to watch because I have decorated with very similar pieces for a lot less. When I have clients coming to me who are on a budget, I find furniture that adds up to less than $500 sometimes. My personal belief as a decorator is that if it looks the same why not save the money?

I think the general public is over watching the ultra-rich spend ridiculous amounts of money on television for things they don’t need.

        • Error404 says:

ITA it’s kinda odd they still aired MDD after PIH bombed so badly. People are so over stupid rich!

          • kitkat says:

I think PIH bombed because people who aren’t pregnant just aren’t interested in watching other pregnant women. WHen I was preg. I couldn’t get enough “Baby Story” on TLC, now I would rather watch grass grow.

            • Suzieq says:

I never thought of that but, you’re so right!! I obsessively watched baby story and any other pregnancy show when I was pregnant….5 years later and I have not watched one episode again!

    • Error404 says:

The only thing I find hilarious about Jill and Kelly is their insistence that they ARE interior decorators. Neither one could find their own wayhome from a store! But that won’t stop them from selfproclaiming themselves “home decorating queen”. They really are infuriating.

RHNY, Cindy Barslop is the only who never bothered to decorate her home. Everyone else did and they are all well decorated, even if they are not our personal taste.

What drives me crazy about ramona’s places is they’re so flavorless and dull, so unlike the singers themselves.

Kellys and Jills definitely reflect them: kooky Kelly and gaudy new money Jill, so brad and whomever does kellys place are doing their jobs.

Lulus is nice and kind generic, like thefaux contess herself.

Silexs place is nice but like them tries too hard. They really like edgy over pretty in their clothes and apparently in their decor as well. Blood red walls make an impact, but how many could live withit every day.

      • Kelly Anne says:

I agree. I can see why you’d think Ramona’s is flavorless and dull. I don’t think it’s that great or beautiful, but compared to Jill and Kelly’s it is.

        • Kukulet says:

I love parts of Silex’s house. I’m not a fan of the red walls, and that room I would happily live without, but their kitchen is gorgeous and the rest of the house is not bad at all.

What I find wrong about MDD is that there is a strong difference between an interior designer and a decorator. Anyone can call themselves a “decorator”, but interior design is backed by education, experience, and training. The folks profiled on MDD seem to be “decorators” in the looser sense of the word.

          • Error404 says:

I think it depends on what you need. Sure if you want to design your interior and how it flows, hire a designer. But if all you need is someone to tell you which pillows would match your couch, whynotgo with the person who just has a natural eye for it?

            • MsJxn says:

ITA,….You can’t be educated on taste,…either you have it or you don’t. Some things, like safety features, yes, an education is required,…but you can’t educate taste or fashion,…some people have it….others want it,…but don’t have it.

            • Kukulet says:

I agree with you on that. But if I want someone to find me the best bargains for my dollar, I’ll take an accredited interior designer over a self styled decorator.

Not that I would hire either. I am my own interior designer slash bargain shopper-along with chef, bottle washer, in house doctor, and accountant. 🙂

            • FLG says:

But who do you call when you need Trigger installed in your living room? I can assure you there are no listings in the yellow pages for that………..

      • lillybee says:

I really liked their bedroom, very zen.

      • quincyil says:

Red is easier to take if the room is dark and I think they keep the curtain drawn the the street windows all of the time.

The kitchen and master bedroom are great, but I don’t like the dark tiny rooms for the boys.

I guess living in the city the boys are lucky to have their own rooms.

        • Kelly Anne says:

I really love Alex’s kitchen cabinets and modern sink. Thought it was excellent how they transfused their living room colors to allow it to flow into the kitchen easily. Open space is a hard find in NY.

          • quincyil says:

I think I would forget about the dining room and make it a large living space. Those Brownstones only get light from the street and the back of the house so I would change the windows in the front using reflective glass so they can have them open without people seeing in.

I know dark wood floors are in style, but I am not fond of caves. My ancestors moved out of caves and into huts long before the average cave man.

    • alicia says:

I cannot stand that ceramic rooster on her mantle. Tacky! Roosters should be delegated to the kitchen. Check out the design blog “Urban Grace”. She has a really hip southern design sense.

  33. LOLing says:

I am not a Jill fan (to be honest, I find Ramona more repulsive..actually to be extra honest I don’t like any of them except Alex and the “old” S1 Sonya). However, I do like to defend even the lowliest of HW’s when warrented…so on this one I respectfully call “foul”. 🙂

These types of trusts are totally legal, totally legit and are quite common among people with $$. My best guess as to why the name was changed on the event was b/c the blogosphere got a hold of it and were making a todo. Not worth the hassle, besides the money all goes to the same place anyway, so it really doesn’t matter how it’s worded.

To be fair, if you aren’t familiar with these things it would probably give you pause, but this is a legal entity. They are actually good b/c it allows the donor to actually give 100% as opposed to other orgs that give maybe 70 cents on the dollar due to admin costs. B/c these trusts are able to make $$$ with their principle (which is why they are “managed” similar to a work 401(K) or other investments) they can stretch their dollars farther. Plus, this may have been set up by someone other than Jill. It’s Zarin FAMILY not Jill Zarin. Probably Bobbys father or mother when they passed (just a guess, they may be alive for all I know!) If someone of considerable wealth dies, they can create a charitable trust with their assests (some or all). This passes less of an estate tax burden onto their heirs. Which is win-win. You save on taxes and charities benefit. Don’t forget, the reason the wealthy pay so little in taxes as a percentage is b/c they have access to the right lawyers, accountants and $ managers to help them do so. Which is 100% legal and the reason that loophole exsists. If their was no charitable benefit, people would not give as generously and it would hurt us in general. Many of these trusts fund the arts, without them a lot Museums would not be able to be free (“suggested” donation not withstanding).

As for a salary being paid, whoever manages the trust is legally able to draw a salary. Trust management is a JOB. It requires the same attention as any asset portfolio. Normally, a lawyer or acountant does this. You have to have knowledge. A family memeber (if they have the background) is certainly able to manage and collect a salary, but quite often they don’t. Also, a family member can collect a % age as maybe a co-executer, but wheteher or not Jill does this is not proven, only speculated on. Much as I dislike Jill, I doubt she makes a penny of it. She benefits in other ways.

By other ways, I mena charitable events are de rigeur in NYC. Charities are sort of an entree into society, which is why many people rep, support and start them. Now is Jill ever going to be on the Board of the Met or something? No way! That’s Astor territory (and as I mentioned, Jill being Jewish keeps her off some of the more exclusive posts. I don’t mean any offense by that, it is simply, sadly true even today. WASP’s are very, um, particular) But in any event, it is a way to get your name out there, build a network of social contacts etc. So it’s win-win again. JIll gets the social life, charities get money.

I know, I know…Jill doing good, not possible! But, it’s like that old episode of Friends when Phoebe wanted to do a self-less good deed (like letting a bee sting her). They don’t exist! There is always some benefit to you somewhere, somehow. In any event, this is like the Teresa’s cookbook hubbub…a disliked person following protocol and doing what many have done before, but hating the person wants to make us find bad in everything they do.. Nature of the beast I guess! 🙂 However, I want to take bets on how many calls that poor director of Donations in the email is going to get. I know Lynn is not calling, but someone will. That poor person listening to 100’s of voicemails ranting about Jill Zarin! They deserve an after work drink for sure. LOL.

********CAUTION: Opinion ahead. JUST AN OPINION!! No attack.*********
Someone on Twitter called Dina Manzo demanding explainations about Project Ladybug. Which brings me to one last point. Just b/c these woman are on TV does not mean they “owe” the public explainations of private financial matters, if they choose to, fine, but they should not be forced or harrassed. I understand that charities collect donations so yes, you should have the right as a donor to make sure it’s on the up and up. But really, studying documents and making inferences when chances are you are not versed in the legal, financial and general functioning of a charity, is taking this TV thing to far! If you don’t trust or like the person, then don’t send them money. It’s that simple! It’s really not anyones job outside of the federal, state and local agencies to monitor that charity. I think it’s really just taking reality TV to a level it should not go to. JMHO, not meant to hurt, attck or point a finger at anyone…simply my opinion, agree, disagree or agree to disagree, but understand I am stating an opinion,, not meant to be taken personally. 🙂

    • Error404 says:

      ITA
The world is full of legal scams.
Anyone who hands their $ over to either Jill or Dina without asking for proof of where it goes is a fool IMHO. With all of the legitimate established charities put there, I wouldn’t give either of these two liars a dime to make a phone call.

      • LOLing says:

This is very true…I do agree. Now, do I believe that Dina Manzo’s charity is a scam? No. Do I believe this trust is a scam? No. I truly don’t, on either front. Now, do I have plans to donate to them? That’s also a no! Simply b/c I have no interest in donating to them. I have my own causes that I support and I am not going to support a charity simply b/c I watch Bravo. Some people would, but not me. Nothing that they do is local to me so why would I? However, if anyone here is looking to donate to anyone, may I suggest The Ronald McDonald House? Forgive me if I seem to be soliciting, but hey, I have a forum, why not? 🙂 I have gone to many events there, it is totally donor and volunteer supported and it is a truly beautiful place. I have met the people there (at the Camden, NJ house..many of the kids and pregnant women I met there were being treated at CHOP-Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia–a top notch hospital) and you can’t help fall in love and write a big check. Or volunteer your time. Washing dishes, cleaning, making dinners, donating food..there is a range of options. What they do is amazing and if anyone reading this blog has a local RMD House, PLEASE go there and consider helping. If you don’t leave in tears, you have no soul! (I kid..sort of !!) Although I can only speak of Camden, NJ not other homes. I hope they are all so weel run and beautiful places of love, support and kindness.

        • Error404 says:

I don’t think they are scams. I think their main purpose is to bring press and attention to Dina and Jill.

          • LOLing says:

I agree. The Zarin Family Trust and PLB exisited b/f the shows. Well, at least PLB did. RHONJ was filmed in 2008 but didn’t air until 2009. In S1 they showed a PLB function. So, for sure, part of the motivation to do the show was to promote Charity or business (how many ppl go to Zarin fabrics out of couriousity? Lynn did!! She took a pic! :)). PLB in particular. Lets face it, Caroline Manzo did the show to promote The Brownstone, which was already a sucessful business. Many of my North Jersey freinds have been there and rave about it. This was before the show. Now it is 100 times more popular…even Bethenney knew this forum would promote her. I don’t fault that..

I guess my real beef is when it goes outside normal blog, message board or Twitter discussion. There is a person on Twitter, Bravo Maxine (AKA Tweet Maxine) that posted a phone number for CA CPS for the few followers that actually believe her crap. She claims she already called them. Why? She dislikes Tamra, so she wanted to report her and have her followers do so as well. BMax thinks that Tamra must be a bad mother b/c she makes, lets face it, questionable choices on TV. I draw the line at this stuff. It is too far beyond what Reality TV should be. Same w/ charity stuff. When people take that extra step and start “reporting” and so forth…to me that’s just too far.

          • quincyil says:

I don’t know. Dina must have had her charity before the show even if she only filed for the correct state numbers when people complained.

If they use their stardom to help, that’s good. Jerry Lewis really helpe MD kids. I think the lifespan of those kids was really increased because of his charity.

            • FLG says:

To Alleged Zarin Trust Anonymous Letter Author:

You stated: “I found out that this is something called a “Donor Advised Fund” and people set
these up when they give a lot of money to charity and want a team of advisors
who are experts in philanthropy to research the organizations that they want to
contribute to so they can be sure that they are giving to a legitimate
non-profit organization. I was hoping to uncover something more juicy but it
seems that Jill was smart in this instance and set up this as an informed way to
              give her money to charity.”

I disagree with parts of your statement. To me, the main reason for forming a “Donor Advised Fund” is so the grantor can maintain control over and/or guide (advise) who receives the monies that the grantor’s fund doles out. Directly from NYCT website ” the donor recommends the organizations to receive grants.” Otherwise you would choose another type of fund and allow NYCT to do all of the decision making. They manage four types of funds. Also, I have not seen evidence that it was set up by Jill Zarin, at this point in time. Besides your statement that it is a “Donor Advised Fund”, I have seen no evidence that is in fact the case. The minimum time a fund w/ NYCT has to be in effect is five years. I have seen printed evidence from NYCT that the Fund was a donor in 2009. Is Jill drawing attention to the Fund? For Sure! Is Jill using it to draw attention to herself? In my opinion, absolutely! Does the existence of the Zarin Family Trust improve my opinion of Jill? No Way. Do I think you are well informed in what you are saying? I’ve got to give you a big zero, nada and zilch on that, too. Actually my opinion is your alleged letter is that it is somewhat odoriferous. In my opinion, with the exception of your statement that it is a Donor Advised Fund you could have saved your phone call and that persons time by simply reading the FAQ section of NYCT’s website: http://www.nycommunitytrust.org/GivingatTheTrust/GivingFAQs/GeneralQuestionsAboutGiving/tabid/488/Default.aspx

              Respectfully,
              FLG

PS: The italics were nice, but I think I probably need to thank Lynn for the font.

  34. Rusty says:

Lynn – I loved your blog today. TONS of great, juicy info. ISHJZ (I still hate JZ).

  35. SweetValley says:

Has Kelly even spoken before about wanting another child? It came out of nowhere to me. I often get the vibe she wants to BE a child, not have another one.

    • viki55 says:

She mentioned it a few times. Once was when luann, Sophia and Kelly where having drinks in the hamptons, last season I think.

    • 2Stupid says:

Does anyone else other than me think the now talking about having a baby and getting married is sparked by Bethenny’s success after doing so? I mean I know it is universal to want to be married, and I think about having another child all the time (I’m 39!). It just seems another way of her emulating Bethenny, but acting like it is completely her original idea. Bethenny mentioned wanting a child since one of the first epiodes. I know I am very cynical!!!

      • viki55 says:

You are right, it is all about Bethenny. It’s getting like Single White Female….creepy!

      • Error404 says:

It could just as easily be inspired by Cindy Barslop and her miracle of science twins. But Kiki’s been bangin on about hubby and a kid since she arrived on the show and probably even before that. The “broken toy” said they were engaged even though she denied it.

        • 2Stupid says:

I don’t think Kiki thinks about the ticking clock because in her mind, she is still in her 20’s. You are right, she has been going on about it a while. None of us should forget she is a Midwestern, truck driving, no drinking, pure, one night standless girl!!!!!

    • Error404 says:

OMG she never shuts up about it!

  36. Mimisfbay says:

Wow, not much response to TCM and I, for one, really liked your blog. I enjoy the show except for the really stupid challenges like the bus episode. I am not a scientist nor am I a microbiologist but ewwwwwww on the RV bathroom thing. I am so glad you mentioned it because I even had problems with them using petrie dishes and other equipment in a high school science class. Why, oh why can’t we just watch these amazing chefs cook? Do I really care if a top chef can use a toaster oven or a microwave?? Puleeze. I feel sad that we never see them really compete using wonderful ingredients.

I like million dollar decorators but I am one who loves decorator show houses. It is a thrill to see what a really creative top designer does when given a room and a theme. That being said the designers on the show work for clients that have unlimited budgets and hire them to create fabulous rooms. They mention sources for art and furniture but, sorry, you can’t get an original Picasso at Home Goods. You can create a room that has a similar look but original works/pieces are not at Tuesday Morning or Home Goods. These designers are not going to dig around in TM, Marshalls and HG. IMHO! I remember going to Harrods and seeing room after room of furniture and art costing more money than it costs to buy an expensive car. Things that were so beautiful that it made me realize that the rich are truly different. There are people who insist on objects that are perfect and unavailable to most of us.

Q, so glad you admire Padma’s smarts she is beautiful and brilliant. I know lots of board members don’t like her I like and respect her. She has written some pretty terrific cookbooks too. Long before TC she was famous in her own right.

    • Golden Girl says:

I normally enjoy TCM but this season is just not doing it for me. I agree that Q did a great job on the blog (thanks Q). I liked the first season when they were respectful of the chefs and didn’t have them do those silly challenges. Like you I couldn’t care less about seeing if they could cook in a microwave I want to see them cook what I cant.

    • lillybee says:

Top Chef Masters is such a bore this year. The chefs need to be able to cook in normal kitchens with much less gimmicks.

    • quincyil says:

I recognized that she understood the chemistry of cooking from the few comments that made it into the show.

I did one cooking show when Lynn was on a vacation and now I picked up this one, but I always like the people over time.

I miss Hugh. I want to go to his restaurant and hand out.

      • quincyil says:

My grandfather had one of the first microwaves in 1970. We couldn’t make eggs and now 41 years later, the chefs still haven’t figured that out. I would put a bowl of water and boil it and keep pouring the boiling water over eggs and I bet that would work. I would have my scientist friend doing that while I was doing the other stuff.

I would not put bread of any kind in the microwave either. I think you can bake in a microwave, but that is iffy.

I reheat foods all of the time in the microwave and I also use it to defrost. I often will use the microwave to start a baked potato which I will then put in the oven with the other foods that I am cooking to finish.

I will “nuke” a turkey leg with a few minutes of the microwave before sending it out to an outdoor grill also because it cooks from the inside and the grill cooks from the outside and the two processes balance each other if you are careful.

I don’t like coffee or tea from a microwave. I like to brew those. Move over, Sonja Morgan, Q actually brews tea and pours it in glass cups according to ancient Iranian customs.

        • Nancy says:

          Q,
When I was doing research at UCSF the PI used to try to get me to stand in front of the microwave and threatened to push the start bottom because I have a pacemaker.
It was all in fun. (Their fun!)

          • quincyil says:

Well, that is an issue for some people.

The flashing blue lights affect epilectics too. Walmart had blue light specials years ago. People complained.

Any flashing light can cause problems for people with issues..even police/fire lights.

        • lillybee says:

For coffee, I use a melita filter cone and use the microwave to heat the water to boiling. I do not cook in it but will use it to reheat and defrost.

          • quincyil says:

I have the special dishware for cooking in the microwave. I just never use them. I like baking and grilling, but not frying.

I never use a bunsen burner for cooking, but I have used them for sterilizing probes before plating speciments on Petri dishes.

        • dsc60 says:

i hate to tell you but it’s not true that a microwave cooks from the inside out. i just saw a show on cooking myths and that was one of them that they covered.

  37. Nancy says:

IF Jill’s “Trust Fund” was on the up & up why did she have the need to defend herself?
She doesn’t do that with all the other “issues” we are accusing her of?

    • butterisafruit says:

      Exactly Nancy.

It’s all too suspect. She feels threatened and needs to fix it.

This what you get when you try to destroy others, it eventually all comes back.

  38. snarkarella says:

    Question:

Since we know Jill is delusional (among other things) why is she pissed at Ramona and expects an apology? I’m thinking about the preview for tonight’s episode. Is she still harping on the St. John trip from last year when she arrived UNANNOUNCED and Ramona didn’t let her stay? Or has Ramona committed some other heinous crime since then? JZ’s tiny mind works overtime to start stirring so much shit up I may have missed something.

    • Nancy says:

Jill Zarin will NEVER EVER forgive someone who (in her mind) crossed her.
Jill will be in WWlll until kingdom come with Ramona, Alex and Bethenny for this.

    • viki55 says:

Perhaps for the way Romona confronted her about Jennifer’s comments at the party? Jill felt ambushed once again. This really is like a repeat of last year. Jill can’t come up with anything new.

    • T-REX says:

JZ keeps a handy-dandy “score sheet” tucked away. She can pull that out at a drop of a hat and explain that while someone apologized for 9 different infractions according to JZ, she will certainly bring up the 1 time you didn’t, be it 3 weeks, 3 months or 3 years previous. Good lord look how long she kept that Voicemail from Bethenny on her phone. She apologized numerous times, but then JZ would play it for herself, and others, then I guess B was supposed to make another apology since JZ re-activated this on her list everytime she played it.

    • plainviewsue says:

According to TV Guide, it says it’s all about Scary Island. Jill is quoted as saying that Ramona expected an apology at Scary Island, Jill said there is nothing to apologize for, and she wants an apology from Ramona. Jill will never change. She never takes responsibility for her actions. NEVER.

  39. OMG DISGUSTING(traci) says:

OMG, I can’t take it no more. I don’t reply often b/c, well, really no reason, I read and move on but nothing personal at all. I have 10 blogs I read and love you all equally. I’m anti social maybe?
However, Now, I am disgusted and grossed out. Lynn and Q, PLEASE next time when you post tweets from Jill zarin, for those of us who aren’t on twitter, please do a “WARNING” or something lol, If JILLZY decides tweet about “enough wear wax to make candle” or anything having to do with liquids coming out of her body.
EWWWW, uhhhh, I just literally gaged.
JILL ZARIN, what is wrong with you? Next time just tell us what your yeast infections smell like. (NO DON’T PLEASE) Just as gross as telling us that you have enough ear wax to make a candle. Didn’t you ever hear of a baby blue booger extracter? You put warm water in and flush your ears? No, wonder wy there is a blog called “I hate Jill Zarin” Now it should be called “Jill Zarin, you are so foul”
Sorry if I grossed yall out wih my example, buits just as gross. lease don’t be mad at me lol.
    Jill is so disgusting.
Lynn & Q, god bless you two lol.
    Traci

    • quincyil says:

      LOL….. I swim therefore… I use the baby blue booger extracter…

Jill should swim and then see how plugged your ears can get over a summer.

      ROTFL

      • OMG DISGUSTING(traci) says:

Yeah, then she won’t have enough wax in her ears you know the rest. brb gagging

      • Nancy says:

A part of me wanted to ask Jill if I could have her unwanted discarded wax so I could put it in my ears so I wouldn’t have to hear her anymore!

        • FLG says:

Save that for Countess Squash Blossom High Horse’s next single. I fear the release date is approaching,

  40. FanofLynninTexas says:

Long time reader new to posting. I’m a Housewives junkie since the beginning of OC.
Lynn & Quincy and all of you bloggers thanks for keeping me up to date.

    • quincyil says:

Welcome. I hope you are getting excited like me over the Marrakesh adventure.

Simon van Kempen said he makes an appearance in Marrakesh on the twitter. We know he was home with the boys so I don’t know what he is talking about.

He also has another webisode that Lynn allows me to blog on Sat. I have those short films as my very own and I won’t share them with Lynn.

      Q

      • OMG DISGUSTING(traci) says:

Q, please don’t think I am trying to be a troll by me sticking up for Ginger. I just feel bad for an animal who don’t have a voice per say, to protest having Jill Zarin as an owner. Hopefully, by my explaining poor Ginger situationm maybe you and lynn realize that Ginger is a victim of (IS Ginger is a him/her?) master Jill Zarin and to keep in mind. xoxo

        • quincyil says:

The dog is suffering. I think she has some problem with her leg too.

She can’t help it if her owner didn’t not train her properly.

  41. OMG DISGUSTING(traci) says:

One more thing, JILLZY, I would rather hear foul language, than hear about foul things come out of your BODY. I just might join twitter and give you a peice of my mind you nasty thug.

    • Nancy says:

      OMG,
I wouldn’t go into the Zarin’s basement if you don’t like dealing with “stuff” that comes out of ones body. Yuck!

  42. Logan says:

I’m looking forward to seeing more of Morocco tonight. Best part of the whole thing!

    • 2Stupid says:

There is a part of me that is really kind of dreading it. It’s like last year, where it is so dark and painful. I don’t mind the bitchy and two faced stuff, or passive agressive stuff really. However, when you start really going for people’s jugular with personal stuff, it is hard to watch. It is like the last episode of BH’s, I couldn’t watch a second time. Watching two sisters really expose personal issues was hard to watch. The NJ stuff doesn’t seem to bother me that much. I guess because I don’t think eithter Teresa or Joey have good character. Contrasting, I think Ramona has good character, and it galls me Jill and her brewd desparaging her. I thought Kyle and Kim down deep are good people, and I hated to see them do those things to each other. Does that make sense?

      • Logan says:

Yes I agree that limo scene in RHBH was so intense. It brought back painful memories of the worst fights I’ve ever had or witnessed in my life. I get what you’re saying how it’s hard to watching because they have good moral character.

        • dsc60 says:

it sure was. BH was on the other day and when that scene of that episode came on i just had to change the channel. even the reunion was hard to watch with taylor harping on kim every chance she could about her “mental state.” sickening.

      • Golden Girl says:

ITA 2stupid. I think tonight is going to be about JZ and her flunkies giving Romona a hard time about what that fake fortune teller said about there being “another woman”.

  43. OMG DISGUSTING(traci) says:

One more thing, JILLZY, quit whoring your dog out. You know why Andy loves Giggy so much you gel lish (lol, gel ish) peice of garbage? b/c he has a medical condition and Lisa sets a good example that just b/c the dog has a condtion youc an still love it the same. Some one needs to tweet this to her. I am so tired of her trying to move Giggy out of the spot lot for Ginger. I won’t call Ginger what everyone else does b/c I love animals and feel bad for Ginger . Damn it Jill, you lways have to make it about you.
Lynn, Im sorry for the bitchy responses but that woman is working my nerves.

    • quincyil says:

I would rather have a dog with alopecia than one with a nervous bowel. My guests prefer that too.

      • OMG DISGUSTING(traci) says:

Lol, yes, but, if I got a hold of Ginger, he would have a stress free life and wouldn’t be shitting his self. I foster dogs of all, breeeds and medical issues. It’s amazing when you give an animal the “proper enviorment” and treat them like dogs and not humansm you transform them in to “dogs”. Lol, I get what your saying though 🙂 It’s Jill’s fault though.

        • Nancy says:

          OMG,
Thank-you for that as I’ve been saying the same thing for yrs now. Let me have Ginger for a month and we will see a new Ginger.

          • Nancy says:

            OMG,
Do you watch “Whale Wars”? It’s on the Animal Planet channel. If not you should check it out.
I’m actually thinking of signing up for a month.
Not sure I could leave my dog for that long though.

          • alicia says:

Ginger needs to spend some time with my Japanese chin dogs, Amber Lynn and Diva. They would teach her how to behave like a Palm beach socialite dog behaves. She would have to learn to dance on her back legs, etiqueitte in outdoor restuarants, fine grooming and last but not least, cheering up the elderly ! Oh, and the fine art of napping with mommy- we call it a “chinappa”.

      • FLG says:

OMG ain’t it the truth! Hubs and I have a cat with anti-social personality disorder but at least we don’t have to clean the carpets hourly.

  44. Amber...Real Wife says:

I enjoyed MDD and look forward to watching the show. Rich people will always over pay as they don’t mind giving these decorators an open wallet and they shop without conscience. These looks can be replicated at antique shops, yard sales, on line, homegoods, tjmaxx etc. I’ve also seen the higher end pieces in Horchow and RestorationHardware at a fraction also. It can be done, but you have to work it!

I purchased my new build a year ago this month after 1.5 year of trying to get good deals on short sales which would fall through. During that limbo period I watch HGTV daily and only a few months before closing did I find this site which helped me relax from the stress of my housing and Jill! LOL I’m still decorating to this day but do we ever really stop?

My grandmother was 83 when she left us and had just purchased new end tables a few months prior. Her gossipy 75yr old cousin told her that her younger husband’s new wife or family would just be using it when she was gone, and my grandma said “That’s fine, but where am I supposed to put my glasses and my teeth while i’m here?” 🙂 LOL

BTW that was 15yrs ago and he never remarried. He was her 3rd husband and she was his only wife. She was a firecracker and the best!

  45. OMG DISGUSTING(traci) says:

    Lynn and Q,
My only request of you two is to find some compassion for Ginger. Wouldn’t you two be mean and shit your self constantly like Ginger does if you had an owner like Jill Zarin? As Casear Milan would say, you have to look at the Dog Psychology of it. Look how that idiot jill atd on “Its me or the Dog”
I would rescue that poor thing in a heart beat. Jill has Ginger trained to lick her nose clean. The poor dog is traumatized. Notice how the poor thing is always shaking?
By all means, say what you want about Jill, but please try to have compassion for that poor dog. Ginger is a victim and I hope you think of that before you say things about the poor thing.
Please don’t be mad, just think about it.
    Your Ginger;
*Jillzy is your owner (i think the compassion starts there)
    * Your trained to lick Jillzy;s nose clean (pleasing your master)
*You hear that hgh piche “BAAAWWWWBBYYY” voice 24/7 and yor breed already is known as “nervous”
*Your owner is always “pimping you out”
    * Your owner Jillzy stresses you out to the point to where you can’t control your bowels so you shit your self constantly
I can sit here all day and say why I feel bad for Ginger
So, as a reader and fan of you ladies, maybe before you say things about “Ginger” keep in mind that Dog’s can’t pick their masters who they work so hard to please, and its so obvious that poor Ginger needs to be on Xannx b/c of how Jill is.

    • Nancy says:

Except for ONE time…I don’t think Jill walks Ginger at all. In 4 yrs I’ve seen it once. And of course it was on film. For me the point of no return was when Jill prostituted her dog out on “Its me or the dog”. Jill had NO intentions of doing anything the trainer had told her to do. NONE! She just wanted the film time.
It was disgusting. She is disgusting.

  46. quincyil says:

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/05/31/jill-zarin-reveals-the-tr_n_869067.html

This is a short video of Jill where she talks about her cast mates and calls them hypocrites for saying that she talks behind their backs. Jill claims that this is a reality show and that is what reality shows are all about.

The Kardashions don’t do that, right? I think they live their lives.

Why does Jill have an issue with this website if it’s ok to say anything behind someone’s back? It seems that we are just doing what Jill does except we watch her on a show that Bravo pays her to film for that purpose.

    • T-REX says:

Exactly, Bethenny has her own show and isn’t talking behind anyone’s backs on her new HIT show, oh wait and isn’t that a Reality show. In addition, B didn’t say anything behind someone’s back that she wouldn’t say to their face, uhm hey wasn’t that the same Reality show you are on JZ. She is just so delusional, hey you lunatic JZ, you film on a reality show, have been for 4 seasons and guess what, it’s all out there, all of your lies, half truths and hypocrisy.

    • Kukulet says:

Jill’s just trying to cover up for the “Alex is a f**king b**ch, socializing above her station” comment.

That, and the fact that she takes shit stirring to a whole new level.

      She’s ridiculous.

  47. OMG DISGUSTING(traci) says:

I sorry my key board keys are sticking. I haveto hit them hard. Wow, I am going to have to view my posts before posting. I’m not illiterate. 🙂 lol

    • Arya Stark says:

Time to get a butter knife and one by one remove the keys for a cleaning. I had to do that the other day. It’s amazing the crap that accumulates in a keyboard!

Hint, do them about 8 at a time so the are easier to put back. Just gently wedge the tip of the knife under the bottom of the letter and wedge UP, they popout.

      • OMG DISGUSTING(traci) says:

Arya Stark,Thanks 🙂 As soon as I can stop gagging from reading about Jill ear wax. Who says stuff like that? That just shows what a dirty person she REALLY is. Selling her dirty toe imprinted shoes on eBay. Ugghh, Disgusting.
p.s. i bought the “cleaning presurized air duster” from office depot, hope it works. kids always have drinks at computer when mommy not home. I may just get a new one and put my for down tothe old ma and tellhim to put his foot down.

        • Kukulet says:

Can of pressurized air always work for me…you’ll also be amazed at how much stuff blows out from your keyboard.

          • Arya Stark says:

It’s good, but removing the keys is better. It’s really easy, except for a couple that have little wire things, just pay attention when you take them off.

The air blows some stuff out, but it unfortunately can also blow things UNDER the keys, making them stick even more. Tipping the keyboard over and burping it can also help.

  48. AZ Girl says:

Lots of great comments today. Great job on the blog Lynn and Q.

My hope is that Bravo does start from scratch and re-cast all of the NY housewives. I do love Ramona and Alex so maybe there is somewhere for them to go and do their own show. I would watch.

Jill has obviously worn out her welcome. She is so transparent with her facebook and tweets. She constantly needs to be relevant 24/7. Ear wax? really Jill. Why do you think we need to know this? Next are you posting your daily BM? Why does she think that we need to know her minute to minute activities?

All of us here are doing what normal people do. We work, care for family and try to survive natures surprises. Meanwhile up in some apartment over looking a bridge in NYC is Jill. Alone… tweeting….waiting for responses from someone she does not even know and when she does get that response it makes her happy. The same rewarding feeling that most of us get when helping others in time of need.

Can’t get any more miserable than that.

My prediction is that Jill will fade away slowly but surely.

    • Nancy says:

Isn’t that the truth. She must be very lonely.

    • Rusty says:

Fingers crossed that your prediction comes true.

    • 2Stupid says:

From your mouth to God’s ears! She will go kicking and screaming, Trust. There will be a lot more planted stories, trying to make her relevant. Eventually she will throw everyone she knows under the bus. I don’t think she has a conscious. I mean does she ever stop and think about what this must be doing to Avery all the accusation she hurls. Of course, she had no problem highlighting Ally’s weight issues on nat’l tv.

      • Nancy says:

Jill Zarin’s “bottom” in life is going to be when SHE put’s her shovel down. Not a second before that.

        • Logan says:

I do think Jill is very lonely. She might get to go to lunch or an event for a couple of hours out of the day and show face for 15 minutes at Zarin Fabrics so people will think she works there, but for the most part she is probably alone and not very happy. She only sees Bobby at the end of everyday so her remaining time is where she stays on the internet tweeting and monitoring herself on the web.

There is no jealousy people feel her, it is pity filled with disgust.

      • Logan says:

Ditto. Jill is going to spend the rest of her life wondering how she got to such a miserable place. Where will Jill be 10 years from now when no one cares about her? She will be saying Merry Christmas to her friends in in rehab and wondering what might have been if she had been a nicer and better person.

        • PF says:

It would actually be great if Jill sat down and thought about where she will be in 10 years because she may not have HW’s after this season to rely on.

  49. Arya Stark says:

Hey guys, don’t let the troll derail you. Ignoring also works.

Meanwhile, has Jill published her latest newletter lies yet? Those are always funny, but I rely on you to post them here, because I want nothing to do with a site she runs.

    xoxo

      • Lavalady says:

        Kelly’s”In the Mixx” interview:

Kelly says “I’m like really just ya know, it’s really like ya know, like I’m just really, really, I’m like, ya know. It’s just, ya know, really, really, like, ya know. And so on……….. and so on………. and so on.

  51. codystl says:

I haven’t read thru all of the comments yet so this may be a repeat. I still think there is something fishy with the Zarin Family fund. So, if I attend an charity fashion show hosted by Jill and I pay $500 for a ticket. That money is then deposited into the Zarin Family Fund? Do I still get a tax deduction? How do I know that the money was actually delivered to the organization that was advertised? Then, if the Zarin Family Fund makes a sizable donation to a specific organization, like birthmarks, do the Zarin’s then take all of the credit?

  52. PF says:

The thing is, Jill has been caught so many times pretending to be her own fan, that no one believes it when someone comes to her defense. Jill should thank herself for that and stop trying to convince people that she has changed. She hasn’t changed. She won’t change. And why she won’t is because she doesn’t feel like she has done any wrong. She is who she is….and that is why I and thousands of other people don’t like her.

  53. OMG DISGUSTING(traci) says:

How do you get pictures to come up by your name? Like Boston has a four leaf clover? I see some have a face on theirs?

IDK. I already had a wordpress blog before I joined here, so when I did, the pic I used on my blog just automatically appeared.

    • boston02127 says:

      @OMG DISGUSTING(traci)

Find a little pic that you have saved on your computer. Or you can go online and find a pic. Once you have the pic u want go to the top left of this page where it says “My Account” click on that.

Once that page is open look to the right where it says Change My Gravtor”
click on that. It will open another page. Click on the first “blue line” of instructions and it will walk u thru.

  54. Nancy says:

Remember this date. Bethenny is pregnant! (IMHO) 🙂

    • Error404 says:

Are you pulling a Jill? Lol

      • Nancy says:

OMG I didn’t think of that.
I can tell just by looking at her body.
We women just know these things.
Mind you I have no children (that don’t walk upright) but I’m an expert (kidding) at this. I want to be just like Jill Zarin when I grow up.

    • quincyil says:

I knew it when I saw all of the loose clothing.

  55. Nancy says:

    Quincy,
If your husband wasn’t allowed to listen to Opera while living in Iran how did he become such a fan? I’m interested.
Ask him to listen to Villa Lobos for 8 Cello’s and Soprano. It’s beautiful. AT UCSF we have a orchestra for all people involved in Medicine and and we played this piece last year.

    • quincyil says:

He came to America in 1972 and the Revoltion was in 1979. His family has dvds and cds. They are smuggled in from China. They also have smuggled TV Sat. dishes and are addictd to the BBC shows. The satellite police come and take their dish every so often and the pay a fine. Then they buy a new dish. I think the police take hose dishes home and use them or sell them. Iranians are very into business.

      • Nancy says:

Thanks. Do you still play the piano?
I think your husband and my husband would like each other. They have a lot in common. What area of medicine does he practice? (If I may ask)

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Jill can’t be nice because it is against her nature – Ramona saying Jill had a lot of venom makes perfect sense – you can keep nastiness at bay just so long and then thar she blows! Oh goody – Zarin all over our tv screens! lol

  56. Error404 says:

Stupid question: why do hurricanes have names (Hugo, Katrina, etc) but tornados don’t?

    • Arya Stark says:

Hurricanes last longer. Tornadoes that actually touch down often only live for a couple of minutes.

    • quincyil says:

Short lived event where we watch hurricanes form and move from the ocean for weeks.

I will name the tornadoes for you from now on. The first one is going to be called “Error 404” from there we will just keep counting…”Error 4o5, Error 406 Error 407 into infiinity and the end of time.

    • AZ Girl says:

Q is right. National Weather Service names the hurricanes so they can track them. They alternate yearly women and men’s names. They start with “A” and go through the alphabet. One year they started with “Z” and went forward. There is a great article on line about who is chosen to pick the name.

    • boston02127 says:

I think it’s because there are so many tornados compared to the amount of hurricanes. (i’m guessing)

  57. BostonGirl says:

    Go Bruins………

  58. BostonGirl says:

Nancy: A tied series would be good, don’t you think?

    • Nancy says:

I’m just goofing on you. I would love a 7th game Stanley Cup. I really don’t follow the Canucks as I am a Toronto Maple Leafs fan through and through.
My dad was a NHL Ref so when relocated to LA I became a LA Kings fan but the Leafs will always be my #1.
Last night’s game was a nail bitter. Did you see it? Right before the winning goal was scored I thought the Canucks were off sides but I couldn’t see both of his feet to know that for sure. Can’t wait for Saturday to see game 2.

  59. boston02127 says:

From Jill’s blog one year ago. June 11, 2010.

Here we go! Everyone looks great! ( I have to much blush! But I took some off later!)
Alex…I am in Brooklyn? Made no sense…she made no sense! I did nothing to her to deserve her mouth. Maybe she was worried Jen Gilbert was replacing her? After all…she has 3 small kids, works and lives a fabulous life? We were in Jen’s house…Alex saw the writing on the wall. She keeps saying I am in high school. Really…ever see a mirror? The show is high school. Let’s be honest.
Simon wasn’t there and notice..she kept her kids OFF the show. WHY??
Did you see Bethenny or Ramona apologize EVER to Alex? They clearly planned the reunion together. They were very rehearsed. I heard Alex say in the back she had to get all her “points” in. She had notes. Throwing stones lately?
Alex..LIAR..you never tried over and over to do ANYTHING. We are not friends. OVER. Why keep rehashing it.
I do fight back..I don’t need to be DIRTY.
WE ALL talk to the press. Are you kidding?
I said the “ugly comment” after the season. She never heard until APRIL. Don’t use that excuse. Please.
    .
    .
Yeah, she’s changed, she’s trying. (eye roll)

  60. Arya Stark says:

Jill’s newsletter is apparently a fail this week.

I checked her tweets, she promised one but has no tweet announcing it. The new episode is about to air. Ooopsie.

Oh, and the Team Jill person isn’t Jill. Not enough grammatical errors or nastiness. An employee? Possible.

  61. BostonGirl says:

Nancy: Had tickets last night so I missed the game. Who knew our Bruins would make it into the finals…it’s been 39 years since this town has seen a Cup thanks to Bobby Orr, a fine Canadian gentlemen who inspired generations of hockey kids here in Boston. My husband said it was a great game & our guys played well. Fingers crossed! You sound like a great hockey fan. My Dad (family from PEI) never missed a game either and he went back to Eddie Shore, another fine Canadian. Enjoy the games!

    • Nancy says:

      ditto 🙂

        • Nancy says:

          Lynn,
You must have been in Heaven during the 1980 Olympics when the USA Hockey team beat the Russians as a lot of the players were from Boston.

          • butterisafruit says:

My hubby and I cried for an hour after that game. One of the players was from the town next to us. I knew his cousins. We had a ball when he came home. I swear his family partied for a year.
But that was an experience for a life time. Just watching it unravel, was something I would never forget. I can still see the tears rolling down my Eddie’s cheeks.

            • Nancy says:

I was on tour with Holiday on Ice at the time. We had a few American’s on that tour and they were crying as well.
The rest of the company didn’t get the significant of what that game really meant.
I guess you just had to be an American that day. I’m Canadian but I got it. I don’t think in my life time their will ever be such a “sports” moment like that again.

    • FlowerPower says:

BostonGirl, my family (mom’s side) is from PEI too! (Dad’s side from Quebec.)

    • housewifeaddict says:

I was in Montreal the year they won the Stanley Cup in 86. They were’t at home, so we watched in a sports bar, and everyone poured out St. Catherine’s after they won. I’ve since relocated to the west coast – so I’m good with rooting for the Canucks – but I also went to grad school in New England – so the Bruins were my home team for a time as well.

So I’m happy either way – but it’s time Canada brought home the cup. No Canadian team has won since 1993!

      • Nancy says:

We were in Montreal the day of “The Rockett’s “funeral.
It was crazy. They really loved him.

  62. T-Rex says:

Bethenny Pregnant! I hope this is true! As the previous blog comments I have made, I have said this may be a part of her new season. I am not a psychic, but by JZ rules, I play one on this blog! Princess Quincy and Queen Lynn can attest that I made the “call” that B may be preggers, and I had said that since filming would take place in June she waited until into 2nd trimester to film. Of course According to JZ rules you can’t just put the information out there until you tell her first! LOL!

    • Arya Stark says:

      I heard it’s a boy.

      :lbf

      • vilzvet says:

I hope so but in checking her twitter to look to possible clues she does mention having “a drink” the other day in Atlantic City which I assume to be alcoholic, so we’ll have to keep wondering!

  63. LynnNChicago says:

    Interview w/Melissa Klein Ramona Singer’s Ex-Assistant http://goo.gl/fb/3Y0RX

  64. mariareads says:

Hi all! I’m very excited to see tonight’s episode of RONY. Husband is away on business and I had surgery 2 weeks ago so I have been stuck in the house. It’s almost funny. Sometime life just kind of dumps sand on you. My beloved 4 year old Mac Book went kaput 2 days ago and the a/c in the kitchen area popped and went out just now!
I’m taking this as a sign not to fly anytime soon LOL! ~ Hope everyone is OK after the hellish storms that have ravished our country over the last 2 weeks. I’m praying for everyone. I really do feel for all and can’t imagine the hell people are going throuh.

On a Jill note (think wrong note in the middle of a not so good song) I’ll just say this:

Jill is the girl nobody liked as a kid. It shows.
    Jill is jealous.
    Jill is two faced.
Jill is obsessed w/ what people say and think about her. Guess what Jill? You can’t control that. Your behavior has earned you the status of most disliked housewife.
Jill is not a good friend.
    Jill worships money.
    Jill lies.
    Jill swears.
Jill has a bizarre need to be the best, when she is mediocre “at best”.
Jill is so envious of Bethenny Frankel that she has gone a little crazy.

Yes, Jill, that is Bethenny on the cover of Forbes. You will never be there.

I am so amused by Jill and her childish antics. It really makes me laugh. I don’t hate her, I just know what a negative human being she is. Life is tough for her because she will never stop trying to be better and richer and younger etc. What a waste of precious time.

And shame on her for trying to paint Ramona as an alcoholic. She’s just jealous that Ramona has yet another business venture via the pinot grigio line. So envious. Doesn’t she know envy will eat at you until it kills you?

Rant over. Freshly showered and in cool jammies w/ my home made decaf iced tea and wonderful smelling clean sheets (WAMSUTTA not JZ!) I’m the queen of my abode and happy to have the life I do. I miss chatting with you all. I hope to have a new computer on Saturday.

  65. LoriOkie says:

I know this is random, but Ramona has 99,000+ followers on twitter. I would love to see her have more followers than the evil jz. Perhaps this makes me petty and “so high school” but I think Ramona is getting a raw deal this season. It’s really awful to imply that someone has a drinking problem on a freakin television show. Ramona is not my favorite housewife, but she is sometimes fun to watch and NEVER boring. I hope she continues to gain more followers and surpasses Jill.

  66. Nancy says:

I love the fact that Ramona isn’t taking the Kelly bait and joining her on the crazy train. I have to give her the thumbs up because I wouldn’t have been able to do that.
A+ Ramona you are a better person than I.
(I’m watching the episode of Jill’s charity luncheon.)

    • boston02127 says:

I’m watching too. Did you notice Jill contradicted herself about the wine. They were talking about what Darren had asked for and Jill interrupted and said “everyone was suppose to bring something for the gift bag”. Then she said it was for a silent auction.

      • boston02127 says:

Also, when Jill was introducing her step daughter with the birth defect, she said: I’d like to introduce you to my step daughter (name) who’s beautiful inside and out. ??? If she was introducing Ally would she say that? I doubt it.

        • Nancy says:

As Dr Phil would say…”How’s it working for you Jill?”
Didn’t she learn anything from the Bethenny saga last year?

  67. Adgirl says:

Hi Everyone! Are you all ready for tonight’s show? I might skip it like I did last week. NY has gotten so dark and frankly, I find it a huge bummer. Not escapist “aspirational” viewing at all. I’d rather watch real estate porn on HGTV than get depressed over how nasty the women can be to each other.

As far as Jill goes, I don’t “hate” her. I hate her attitude toward people she has decided aren’t going to fawn over her. I don’t people who go out of their way to hurt others. I don’t like how she tried to undermine Bethenny, Alex, Simon and now Ramona’s careers. Because that’s what I think she is tying to do to Ramona now – she wants Ramona’s wine to bomb.
Equally, I don’t care for Jeanna on OC spouting off to the press about Tamra Barney’s divorce. If you don’t like her then that’s OK with me- but why do you have to go out of your way to grind her down?
I don’t understand Vinny’s need to argue about Jill’s better qualities as an excuse for her meaner activities. Jill is every color of the rainbow, or every climate on earth. She is sunny and warm to people she wants to impress and keep close or ice cold like a murderous blizzard to those who have fallen out of favor.
I’m pretty sure “Live and Let Live” is not her motto.

I will read eveyone’s comment on the board. Enjoy the show!

    • Adgirl says:

I also hate how Vicki G threw Donn under the bus. For some reason I still like her, especially compared to the rest of the OC cast.

  68. Adgirl says:

OMG this story is getting looney. LOL.

  69. jeepers1941 says:

I hope no one will object, but wanted to move this thread here at this point.
jz is a tormented soul. She does not deserve the attention she is getting and I for one as just as guilty and others by providing her with it. She does not care if it is good(?), bad or ugly, as long as she gets the attention. She actually thrives on this stuff. She is being talked about, she loves it. Look at what they are saying about “me” is all she is concerned with.
jz entered her downfall when she went after Bethenny Frankel. That was the blow for many of us. When she continued to make an even bigger and total ass of herself on the reunion at the end of last season, she sealed her own death warrant. Now she does the same thing in this season. Change, no way is she changed, she just has a bigger group of people, rather they are real or not!

    jeepers1941 says:
    June 2, 2011 at 12:45 am
Well that was certainly a very interesting picture and that was taken just 4 yrs ago. Seems as tho Jen looked pretty happy compared to how they showed her on the HWNY show just a few months ago. I wonder how jz feels about that pic now coming to the surface? She will stop at absolutely nothing to put her spin on things, even to using family members as it would appear. Bobby needs to step up to the plate and put an end to her antics.
JILL ZARIN, YOU ARE BEYOND DISGUSTING and on your true judgement day, you will be punished for all of the terrible and horrific deeds you have done to so many others. May God have mercy on your poor demented soul.

It continues to amaze me how this woman has the audacity to show her face in public after all the things she has done and said. She constantly makes a fool of herself everytime she opens her mouth, but even that doesn’t stop her. Her lies have been undressed and opened to all those who know her, yet she still carries on as though she is without fault(s). How does one look themselves in the mirror each day and think or believe they are so pure and innocent. Is she so consumed by all the hype from the media coverage she gets, that it has blinded her from the real truth about herself? It really is very very sad not only for her, but for us the public too.

  70. FlowerPower says:

Well, I won’t be watching live, but I will record the episode. I’ll see how much of it I can stomach before deleting. I’ll definitely read the blog and comments!

When I get too upset, I think of what Lynn said in one of her blogs (paraphrasing): Of course Jill has fans, Charles Manson has fans.
So, her having supporters doesn’t mean that any of the lies she tries to tell about herself are true. It just means there are some people out there who embrace her kind of crazy.

Ugh. I just deleted a paragraph and a half on my thoughts on JZ. Trying to wrap my head around her contradictions made my brain explode. I have to go clean my keyboard now.

  71. NJ Bev says:

OT- I know this is lame but can someone tell me what
    a “Kanye Shrug” is?

    • butterisafruit says:

well I didn’t know either NJBev. so I googled hehehe.

When Kayne took the mic from Taylor Swift then did his thing, he handed it back and shrugged with his arms out and hands up a bit. That’s a Kayne Shrug!

  72. Kats2 says:

Hi Everyone! Get ready for the crazy fun.

Lynn – it must feel great to be so important to receive such emails. Jill’s greatest fear is that your blog will go viral and get even more attention. I’m telling you she loses sleep over it. Think Perez Hilton. It makes me want to drive people here so your numbers sky rocket. Let us know what we can do to help.

We all also have to get as many people as possible to follow Ramona on twitter and Facebook. Buy her wine and buy SPANX.

Power to the people – the good people

    • FLG says:

It is so nice to hear that phrase “Power to the People!” I haven’t heard it since the sixties. I like the addition the GOOD people! It reminds me that the people of America rose up and ended a war. It’s nice to be reminded that we can band together and make change happen. Good change.
