I Hate Jill Zarin  The Real Housewives of New York – The  Blogs

First I have to thank Mrs. Ramona Singer for a shout out in her blog to all of us here at IHJZ!  If you want to receive Ramona’s Newsletter, go to her Web Site and you can sign up at the bottom left:  http://www.ramonasinger.com  Thanks Ramona!

I think that Ramona is sending a message to Jill Zarin with her shout out but I don’t care, use me anytime Ramona!  lol  That said, I thank her for saying she enjoys the blog too!  Ramona and Mario are off to Italy for a week, I hope they enjoy their trip very much!

On to the blogs…

Kelly Bensimon –

Kelly said absolutely nothing of value as always!  She told viewers that some of her cast mates think that Money can buy you Class.  We know that isn’t true!  Kelly clearly has some money, Bravo pays her (although we all know she’d do it for free) and her ex-husband pays her to shut up and go away.  She travels, has a home in the Hampton’s and clearly wants for nothing.  Nope, no class there!

She also tells us that she’s never gambled in a casino before….seriously?  This woman really is a 14-year old boy….er kid!  She rambles on selling her wares, I think she may have more crap for sale than Jill Zarin does.

Ramona Singer

Ramona said:

LuAnn kept getting very testy and defensive with me. I hate when she makes her digs. So, when she was being snarky again with her inference to my marriage and relationship with Avery and everything else, I gave it right back! I was not going to be bulldozed by her.

I love this!  As I said yesterday this was my favorite scene in the show.  Luann is known for her digs, subtle and otherwise.  In this instance Lulu grabbed the wrong housewife for her close up.  This fake woman with the fake title steamrolled over Alex just a few weeks ago on screen but she didn’t have as much luck with Ramona.  Ramona knows how to do battle and Luann is no match for Ramona.

I am really glad that the Blondes (and Cindy) didn’t participate in Luann’s video, we’ve talked about many reasons why they were well within their rights to opt out but something that the ladies discussed that is so important, that stupid video is going to be out there forever, not just a few weeks, forever.  Who wants to be tied to those evil bitches (Luann, Jill and Kelly) long after the RHONY is over?  Being on the show is one thing, they don’t have any control over the cast but this ridiculous video is optional and they made the right decision.

Alex McCord

My entire life, I’ve been of the mind that the “C-word” is one you don’t say. To use it about yourself is to prove it doesn’t apply to you. Using that word about someone else makes you seem aspirational, that the person to whom you refer has something you wish you had, etc. Not good either way. Would I go so far as to say using the  “C-word” is thuggish? Not sure. At any rate, I don’t want to be attached to a song about “cl–s” lying within the soul. When she’s ready to stop with the pretension and have fun doing Kurt Weill or Foxy Brown, great.

I get what Alex is saying although spelling the word is going a bit far…and then spelling it with letters missing as if it is a swear word is completely unnecessary.  However, her message is clear and it’s true.  Luann likes to talk a lot about class yet it is clear she has none.  Jill doesn’t know what the word means and has never been anything close to “classy”.  Some may have difficulty attaching the word to Ramona but if you look at her business sense, her mothering skills and the fact that she mentioned my blog in her Newsletter, I say she’s class all the way!  (LOL)  Cindy and Kelly can’t even be mentioned in the same sentence with the “C” word.

If there is one Housewife on the New York cast that has class, it is Alex McCord!  I guess that is very un-classy of me to say that based on Alex’s statement but I don’t care!

Alex talked on the episode tonight about her upbringing, having read her book, I knew that she came from wealth.  There are wealthy people in every state of the union and Kansas is no different.  Alex’s family had several homes and even one in The Virgin Islands but as she said, she rarely talks about it on-screen.  Alex probably had the most affluent lifestyle growing up than any of the cast members but is the most down to earth and kind woman on the show.

Alex mentioned Sonja’s breakfast with Cindy…I think we can all agree with Alex here:

Oh, and that phone call. If you have breakfast with a friend and a conference call, you can’t do both. Switch the time, have brunch on a Saturday, do the call in the car on the way there — something. What Cindy did was disrespectful and rude. Was she trying to show Sonja she’s busy? Nothing she said on the call sounded urgent. Yikes.

Sonja Morgan

I thought Alex’s hair and makeup was the best ever by the fire pit with the family and her friends. Just stellar. She does have a point about class being something better not spoken about in certain situations. Grace under fire in this group should suffice!

Sonja has an interesting writing style, she gets in her digs without actually mentioning the person she is talking about, but we know, don’t we?  Ya gotta love Sonja!

Ramona’s lunch with LuAnn is a disaster. As far as being a parent, my view is no one is perfect, and what is important is that your children know you are there for them when they need you. Why is LuAnn so upset Ramona doesn’t want to do the video? I would respect Avery’s point of view. Furthermore, there is nothing wrong with Turtle Time on vacation! Oh no, then she brings up the fortuneteller again. Boy oh boy, these girls really can give it to each other.

I have to disagree that the lunch was a “Disaster”  I thoroughly enjoyed it!

LuAnn deLesseps

This woman is a horrible bitch!  She complains that Alex would not attending her stupid video taping then says it turned out just the way she wanted it to.  Passive aggressive much?  Who the hell cares, your video is a joke!  Where are the “digs” at Sonja for not attending?  You can stop sucking up to Sonja, Lulu, she was digging at you!  I think the jig is up, Sonja’s not a fan and neither am I!

I love the way Luann flat out refuses to talk about the accusations of cheating between her and her ex-husband Alex deLesseps, you know the guy she got the fake title from and the last name that she continues to use.  She doesn’t say it isn’t true (the cheating part) she simply says she doesn’t want to talk about it and it’s nobody’s business.  Hit a sore spot huh?

Cindy Barshop

Why is this woman still on the show?  They dumped Jennifer Gilbert well before the season ended last year!  Cindy admits that she was rude to take a business call in Sonja’s kitchen but then goes on to defend herself.  She adds that Sonja wouldn’t be quiet during her call and complains that Sonja was wearing pajamas.  That is what I call a fake apology / admission of fault if I ever saw one.  Go away Cindy!

Jill Zarin

Did you all know that Jill was in England?  Hey guys!  Jill was in England, she even has photos and if you sign up to receive her Newsletter like 50,000 others have done she’ll send you the photos.  What could be more exciting than to view Jill’s vacation photos.  Wow Jillsy, do you have some home movies we could watch?  Please?

Jill tells us that she’s going to leave it up to us when considering parenting styles and Ramona vs. Luann argument.  Holy hell, what do we do now?  Jill isn’t going to tell us how to think or feel about a situation?  I don’t know how we will be able to decide how to think on our own without Jill’s input.

Jill says she was in shock watching Alex and Simon talking about Luann, this woman who uses more foul language than anyone on television (ok maybe Jerry Springer’s guests have used more vulgarity)  is suddenly upset about the “C” word?  (not class)  Let’s see, Lulu’s been on the show for 4-years and I think by episode two, Luann has been called that word attached to her fake title.  NOW Jill is shocked?  Has she been living under a rock?  Her fake outrage at foul language is laughable!

Jill goes on in her blog thanking the stylist, make up artist and hairdresser, who would like to bet me that Jill got all of these services done for free in exchange for a shout out in her blog?  Allegedly.

All the blogs are posted, unusual for this group but it’s nice for a change, finally as the season comes to a close … just one more episode – the finale will air this Thursday but don’t get comfortable because the reunion episodes and probably a lost footage episode are still to come.

And now a special treat, for me anyway!   Another great blogger kindly offered to add her perspective to Big Brother, there is certainly a lot going on and the show airs three nights a week so the more the merrier in my blog……

Evil Dick’s Departure – Big Brother by Paige Taylor

Hello fellow Big Brother Fans!  Is it safe to say that the million-dollar question on everyone’s mind is “Can Jordan tell time without Jeff nearby?”  Oh, wait. Never mind.  We know that she cannot.  I guess the next question probably would be “What happened to Evel Dick?”  Well, I’m sorry to say that I don’t have answers- yet (yet being the key word.)

He offered no reason on his twitter feed (http://twitter.com/#!/EvelDick) other than teasing us all to go to his website (http://www.rtvzone.com/) and watch his video which offered not much of an explanation either.

He said in his video, “I wasn’t kicked out, I wasn’t put in jail, and I wasn’t diagnosed with cancer.” He went on to say that, “none of his relatives were hospitalized, injured, or killed” and said “this isn’t some kind of lame publicity stunt aimed at promoting [his website] rtvzone.com”

Given that I do agree Evel Dick does “breathe and live for Big Brother” per his daughter Danielle who is still on the show and has been given a golden key because of Dick’s departure, I think that we will find out the real reason for his leaving right about the time of the finale.  Dick is nothing if not a mastermind at manipulating the masses.  Therefore, when all the attention of the Big Brother finale is abuzz, Evel Dick will surely try to bask in the sunlight that is Big Brother again.  While a friend probably did have some emergency that pulled Dick away from the show, I have zero doubt that Dick will use this to his advantage.

What say you? What are your conspiracy theories about Evel Dick’s leaving and the possibility of him using this to his advantage for later?

Thanks Paige, great job!  I am fascinated by Dick leaving the game, it had to be pretty serious for him to leave the way he did.  His daughter Danielle told us that he is obsessed with all things Big Brother and that it has become his life being a Big Brother former contestant.  (she did point out that it is sad)  What made him leave?  He shed very little light on the whole thing.

* Please note Mags (Maggie Reynolds, Jill’s cyber-assistant) that I didn’t use any of Jill Zarin’s personal photos, I didn’t quote directly from her stupid blog and since you’re babysitting Kelly too, I didn’t use her’s either.

Mags and I have an understanding now so I can call her “Mags” but don’t try this at home.  Maggie is trying her best to get my blog shut down, I’m sure Jill has offered her a great big fat bonus if she’s successful.  Wait, she hasn’t Mags?  You need a better manager!  hahaha

Mags tweeted to me today, I was all a-flutter!  She told me that Jill’s name is trademarked and that I should check the laws.  I’m no lawyer but then Mag’s isn’t either!  Jill Zarin isn’t a lawyer but she plays one on TV along with a doctor, dentist….you all know, we’ve been over this already.

Anyhooo… Enjoy the blog while it’s here, my knees are shaking!  haha  I kid, I kid!

A funny Tweet from Simon:

SimonvanKempen “We needed a crap scene, so since Kelly left we had to improvise” Was @JillZarin being unintentionally funny?

*Simon please don’t report me to WordPress for quoting your tweet, ok?  Don’t give Simon any shit for “mean tweeting” it was funny!

Worth repeating:

Jill is pushing her daughter into the spotlight now….it’s not enough that Jill begs celebrities for gigs on their show’s, now she is begging people to interview her daughter:

  1. I had a comment about the 16th bday parties..where was Victoria’s father during her party? Quite interesting he did not show up for such a special event.

    • JillhAter says:

      Good morning everyone 🙂
Jealous Jill, THEY ON TO YOU GIRL!
      http://digitallife.today.com/_news/2011/05/17/6660877-real-ny-housewife-jill-zarin-poses-as-fans-online

Here is one scenario. Evel Dick is cast for BB but has a medical issue. They try and try to find a better replacement duo but they can’t.
After a few competitions they monitor him and he needs to leave.
When Dick returned from the house he started tweeting. This is BS and other grumblings. Almost signaling that whatever the situation is it’s not that bad. (just interpreting)

When Jeff mentioned that Dick was missing he almost seemed to be composed and he appeared to act surprised.

Perhaps Dick told Jeff if all of a sudden I am gone…

      • happygal says:

Live that you always post the best links…. I think Evil Dick arranged this whole thing… He knew he was going to leave… and figured out a way to set up his daughter to have the 4 week pass-

        • blondieDana says:

I don’t think Dick could have known what BB would do if he left. They could just as easily brought in another old player to be her partner, it was still too early in the game to matter.

    • I don't have my notes says:

Neither did her brother, Feliz Navidad, or at least he wasn’t shown on camera.

  2. boston02127 says:

I ♥ Ramona and always have. I also think she keeps getting more and more pretty too. I can’t believe Jill is younger than her. Jill looks old and washed up next to Ramona.

I also think it’s a joke that LuMann would bring up turtle time in comparison to her weekend mom life. Big difference from a fun vacation to ignoring your kids. LuMann has nothing on Ramona. She should pray Victoria ends up even a tiny bit like Avery, I don’t see that happening thou. Avery is heads above Victoria.

    • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

Hi boston~the preview of next weeks show is about Ramona taking a pregnancy test?
I thought she was too old for that…;)

      • maggie_01bklyn says:

I have a feeling that it is menopause. I respect and admire Ramona, she is one hot pistol.
Especially this season I love how she zeroed in on LuMann. I am not a fan of the way Ramon and Sonya behaved when they first arrived in Morocco. I wanted the State Department to reach in and revoke their passports. Then the brunettes showed their true personalities, LuMann is indeed real ROYALITY.. She is the Queen of camels.

        • dsc60 says:

i agree about the menopause. i thought i was pregnant a few times before i knew that time was upon me although it did happen very young for me so i was not even suspecting that. still, i can definitely understand mistaking the one for the other.

    • I don't have my notes says:

What do you think the odds are that Victoria went up and politely thanked her party planner at the end of the night the way Avery did at her party? Slim to none I’d say. Vic was most likely snorting coke in the restroom after her mother left the scene to shag her French boyfriend. But it’s ok, as LuLu said, they don’t serve drinks to the under aged so she could leave them in the good hands of those working the late shift at a night club. That’s supervision right?

      • boston02127 says:

Victoria is a mess. She’s looks so burnt out and dirty looking all the time.

      • TLM says:

Exactly what I was thinking. Luman wasn’t leaving because “the kids don’t want an adult around” (and who cares if they don’t? Aren’t you a parent and in control of the situation? It’s too damn bad if they don’t want adults around!), she was leaving because I’m sure a hotel room was already booked for them, or they were going back to his place or hers. It’s always been about Luann, and this was no different. Way to use your kids as an excuse yet again to serve your own desires, Countless!

Alex – umm, which “c” word are you talking about, when?? You and your husband happened to use a C-word most people think is thuggish in the same breath as your stilted discussion about the word “class”? Cuckoo! Kurt Weill and Foxy Brown – HUH??? Gotta love Alex with her obscure references that bring conversations to a screeching halt. I’m too bored to even Google these people and see what the connection is to her latest school marm-like speech.

Did Alex forget the many meanings of the word “class” and that it doesn’t always need to be spelled out? A class is a group you attend in school for instruction, it defines socioeconomic groups, like “upper class,” “upper middle class”, and “lower middle class”, and it defines a distinct group of things, as in, hallucinogens are a certain class of drugs. She only objects to the use of “class” when it’s used to describe a set of behavioral traits. I would think someone who is as excruciatingly precise as Alex would have distinguished that from its many other uses. I don’t say that I would have stuck around to *listen* to it, mind you, but I’m surprised she didn’t distinguish it.

Mostly, I’m sick of Alex and Simon telling everyone in so many words, just how CLASSY they think they are. Use the word or not, Alex and Simon, you’re still offensive in your behavior, naked social ambition and enormous delusion that people aspire to be like you, and that you’re right and everyone else is wrong. I don’t care for the others in the cast either, but I have grown increasingly tired of these two and am sick of their BS.

        • maggie_01bklyn says:

          Just don’t agree… Sorry

        • MaggieG says:

Alex & Simon have been growing increasingly tiresome to me, but that aside, most women would consider c_nt an offensive word & not too classy (which they infer they are by not using the word class). Do these people even listen to themselves?

          • simon not Alex called LuMann that and it is actually true
            more power to them
i would rather see Alex & Simon on tv then look at lulu and listen to her boring obnoxious silliness
when she was discussing what her song mean to thepeopl making the video all i kept saying is how old are you lady
then i realized who i was talking about and realized that is NO lady
now i know why Jill is still friends with her
the Countless is the only person living that can make Jill look good

        • smompy says:

I think they often come across as pompous, but I don’t really recall hearing either of them calling themselves “classy” or anything like that. They generally complain about LuAnn who constantly tells people how classy she is, and in their complaining they can sometimes make it sound as if they feel they’re in fact classier than LuAnn…..which, let’s face it, they are, and so is almost everyone else….but have you ever heard Alex say, “I have class” or “I am classier than so and so”? LuAnn says it constantly. Jill says it quite often. Sonja implies it a lot. Ramona actually says it too once in a while. Kely is nuts so I’ll leave her out of this. But I don’t remember Alex or SImon making that kind of direct statement. Even when she was talking about the message in LuAnn’s video (about LuAnn’s allegedly having class) I didn’t hear ALex say, I have more class than her. She didn’t even say “I have class.” If she HAD said something like that followed by the C. U. Next Tuesday remark, then I’d agree she was being hypocritical. But she didn’t do that. Also, unlike LuAnn, Alex wasn’t saying those things directly to LuAnn’s face in an effort to make LuAnn feel inferior…again, as LuAnn herself does to Alex and others constantly. She was having a general discussion with her husband and brother in law and a friend about the whole concept of “class” and expressing her feelings about it, so to me it’s kinda apples and oranges. And lastly, I know some people get highly offended by that C word, but here’s what I don’t get: Neither Simon nor Alex actually SAID the word. They hinted at it, yes. And so have about a million other people, including many commenters here. It’s a natural and easy joke to make considering that Lulu puts that pretentious title “COUNTESS” in front of her real name all the time….of course people are going to notice the similarity between “count” and the C. word and then joke about that. Especially considering how snooty and mean and condescending LuAnn acts.

Personally, there is no single word that has much power over me, but even if I were highly offended by that word, I wouldn’t be nearly AS offended by someone hinting at the word in a joking manor than I would by someone calling me that name outright…..the way Jill directly stated that Alex is “a fucking Bitch” for instance. I mean, really, is the C-word SO powerful that even a joke about it or a play on words is considered akin to some sort of hate crime too? LuAnn has called Alex a “weirdo” and worse. Actually, much worse IMO. For Alex to simply explain to the people in her own backyard that she understood Simon’s stupid joke by announcing that he meant “C.U. Next Tuesday” just doesn’t seem all that offensive to me….not nearly as offensive as it would have been if either of them had said flat out, “LuAnn DeLesseps is a C#NT” . Then again, I don’t attach much power to the individual words being used, as I feel that the overall message is the main thing one should consider. But that’s just me.

        • kitkat says:

TOTALLY agree! Total BS. Alex always tries too hard…but, I will say, she IS a good sport, and that’s a nice quality in a friend. Up until this horrific music video, she always showed up when invited and was never afraid to look foolish (which was often.)

        • Powell says:

I understand what you’re saying but Alex is using “class” in the context the Cuntess is always using it. I don’t understand why LuAnn likes to talk about “class” so much because peple of NY society such as the Morgan’s & others of their time didn’t find t very tasteful to discuss clagss because if had it therw e was no need to discuss it.

        • Karen says:

Couldn’t have said it better myself TLM
I can’t believe the coment about the O in countess was taken so casually by Alex and I can’t believe no one has adressed it or apologized. It was so un..’classy’ of Simon for saying it and Alex for letting it go (in other words agreeing). It was totally uncalled for trash talking.

    • happygal says:

So agree- Ramona is coming into her own- Lumann is an idiot- what mother or parent leaves kids at 16 unattended in a club location… There is no way those kids didn’t figure out how to have booze- No parent leaves as the chaperone and just expects the service people to have the responsibility. As to the comparing parental skills- From the first episode, we saw Avery- more conservative than mom… and so it would not be unusual for her to remain true to that as she grew up… But there is a very strong family unit there to see- all three work well together and i think due to Ramona’s past- that was her goal more than anything else – to have a safe and secure family… what she never had.
Lumannn on the other hand – does want to be friends not parent and everything we have seen and learned about the kids show that- She loves to run away form parenting- and i think the kids were more attached to the housekeeper they use to have than Lumann-

      • maggie_01bklyn says:

What i don’t get is Kelly’s Kids wanted nothing to do with the Playboy shoot. How embarrassing was that for those poor children. LuMann’s son strongly objected to his mothers first video. No kids wants to see his mom on a bed with 6 men. That video will be played every time someone wants to take a swipe at her kids. Finally how does laying in a bed with 6 men equate to “CLASS”

        • happygal says:

Exactly- doing these video are a joke! I am sure she is not making any “real” $$ on them and she is too self absorbed to really see that her doing them is a joke and destructive to her kids-

  3. BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

Thank you for the blogs & pics~ 🙂
I actually saw this episode last night when it was on earlier. lol
I loved Ramona in this one too & Alex & Sonja. What is with Cindy being such an ass at Sonja’s home? I am looking forward to the end of this season. Can’t wait to see reunion shows.

    • vilzvet says:

Can’t wait for the reunion shows either (there will probably be at least two!) We know it must not have been a friendly scene between most of them since in real time they are posting blogs and tweets that indicate otherwise. (Like Ramona’s fantastic comment on THIS blog!)

    • the season finale is next week
i know everyone says menopuase for Romona but i was really wishing she was pregnant
i loved her this entire season it was her best ever
they tried to make her look crazy or drunk and she came out looking better then all of them

  4. VAgirl says:

Good morning everyone. It’s a nice, cool, non-humid morning (probably won’t stay that way for long.) We just took the dogs for a walk and had breakfast. Good start to the day. Hope everyone has a great one. Thank you Lynn for getting up early this morning and posting the blog. There cannot be anything you posted this morning that Mags would have a problem with.

    • happygal says:

Wanted to say Happy Belated Birthday VAgirl- didn’t hit the web till very late last night- Hope you had a wonderful day- Also writing was great by you…

    • degroohj says:

I cannot believe this whole debacle regarding what is able to be written about on the internet. I took the liberty (get it?) to look up Maggie Reynolds publicly posted twitter account (as I don’t have twitter), and one of her tweets says something to the effect of, “the first amendment applies to the government – not the private sector.” Is she joking? A bill of rights is a list of the most important rights to the citizens of a country. In the United States, the Bill of Rights to the US Constitution “limit the power of the U.S. federal government,” where, “these limitations serve to protect the natural rights of liberty and property including freedoms of religion, speech, a free press, free assembly, and free association, as well as the right to keep and bear arms.” In other words, such amendments protect the natural rights of citizens without the fear of the government (i.e. courts) limiting these rights. As much as it may be hurtful for a public individual to hear and read criticisms from a public audience, it’s a fundamental right that we as a public have been entitled to. Does Barack Obama have his name trademarked? Would it matter if he did?

Maybe it’s time for Miss Reynolds to retake a high school civics class…

      • dsc60 says:

i’m confused… is mags trying to insinuate that one can’t talk about jill because her name is trademarked? wouldn’t that be jill’s worst nightmare if no one could talk about her and all the good she does (yeah right)? wait, does anyone ever say anything nice about jill? i don’t remember if i ever read anything like that. but i digress… or is she saying we just can’t quote her? or we have to run everything by her? i don’t understand at all what she’s trying to imply but i can’t think of anything that makes any sense – certainly nothing legal or illegal. geez that woman gives me a headache… Lynn, i don’t know how you do it… God bless you.

      • Powell says:

This is all because jill wants to be liked by everyone. I don’t know about her mom but my mom taught me that everyone doesn’t have to like you.

  5. boston02127 says:

GTG, work…. blah. Have a good day everyone.

  6. Kelley says:

Before I even start I should say I am not at all an Ashley fan. But..I’ve been thinking lately about her wanting to live closer to or in NYC. There is so much more to the story and with the Manzo boys and Caroline and Jaqueline tweeting all the stuff about BLK water, Chris Laurita’s venture, well, that got me thinking. When Ashley asked about moving was at the same time that, I believe, Chris L. set the boys up in an apartment (In Hoboken granted, not NYC but close enough) and gave them jobs working for him. Ashley had to be thinking, what about me? She probably thought she could work for her stepdad part time and still work at the Lizzie PR job. Also, the boys, I think, at that time, were expected to get their own show, not just webisodes. She wanted to be the third person, not Greg. Also I think that is the reason Chris bought her the car, because maybe he felt a bit guilty about the whole thing. I also think Lauren is really upset that she wasn’t the third person and that’s what she’s really upset about, not that she’s not seeing her brothers so much. Anyway, that’s my big theory! Still not a big Ashley fan but I understand her a bit more.

    • Okie Folkie says:

Do you mean Lauren? Lauren is the sister of Albie & Christopher. Assley is their cousin. I used to like Lauren quite alot, but she is becoming annoying, IMO. I just dont get her “I hate girls” line. Up until that point I always liked Lauren….not s’much now.

  7. nappykink says:

Don’t know if this has been posted yet…Taylor Armstrong from bev hillsfiled for divorce from russel the love muscle! Finally.

  8. If you had it like this says:

I posted this over on RCH’s blog and I think it bears repeating over here in light of all the “hate blog” discussion that’s been going on over there and here (and elsewhere).

I feel you Designdiva! I love all the HW sites too! I like reading the comments almost as much, actually, maybe more these days, as the show. It’s like a really fun and harmless blood sport! I think lots of people feel that way and the Housewives stir people up and push people’s buttons for various reasons and then people discuss it at work and start blogs and Bravo’s ratings go up and up every year. And so you gotta have the Jill Zarins on there and also the BSC ones like Danielle(although, RIP) and also the ones like Alex and Simon who some find goofy and annoying but lots feel protective over. It can’t be all Lisa Vanderpumps. It can’t be all likable characters and that’s why I’m not that offended by IHJZ. I think we all know that probably 99% of people who say “I hate” something don’t mean it in the way that say, terrorists hate America or the brothers Gallagher from Oasis hate each other(for the three people who may follow that band)! When I say I hate onions doesn’t mean I want to destroy all onions. Wait, bad example. Maybe I do. That would make my life ordering at restaurants so much easier! Now I’m just getting ridiculous. Which is what all this is. Ridiculous, silly fun.

  9. Just out of curiosity, has Jill been reporting you for quoting her blog? I noticed that you did not directly quote it. If so, she’s dead wrong (not that that would be a first). It’s completely legal to quote ANYTHING you want, so long as you do it in the proper manner, and there isn’t shit that Jill can do about it.

She really needs to grow a thicker skin. I have never seen any other reality tv star become so hypersensitive to criticism. This is what she signed up for. It’s not as if the show is about a group of Quakers churning butter. If she can’t handle the negative opinions then she needs to get her ass off the show, because it clearly isn’t doing her any good on the emotional front.

That said, the reunion is only a few weeks away. We already know that they laid into Alex (SHOCK!), but I’m really hoping that Luann is gonna get pummeled by the viewer questions. She has a lot to answer for this season.

    • happygal says:

I agree- Jill Zarin get over yourself- The comment that Jill Zarin has copyrighted her name is a joke- Who does she think she is Michael Jordan? Beyonce? I mean really- If you put yourself out there- then suck it up- own it for real- Not like your BS comment and just understand people are going to judge you and you may not like what they say-
It would be soooo wonderful if once- the Blondes just nailed the idiots and there was some satisfaction for the viewers.

      • dsc60 says:

i wouldn’t care if she was a Michael Jordan or a Beyonce… people can’t copyright their name to protect themselves from others opinions or even to protect themselves from being quoted! i’ve never heard of such a thing and i very seriously doubt anything like that exists in any legal fashion whatsoever. i have so much doubt that i would never put it in jail for murder, manslaughter or even lying! oh geez, i’ve been watching way too much on that dang CA case.

    • blondieDana says:

If the same people that control the blog comments control the reunion questions, I expect to hear alot of softball bullcrap questions.

      • happygal says:

I know- they will be sh*t and no satisfaction at all- I have really lost all respect for Andy… Jill has his balls in a sling

        • andy really has nothing at all to do with the blogs on bravo

          • happygal says:

The respect thing I was talking about was how on the reunions, Andy will not follow up on something and really get the person to own up- He pretends that he is “equal”in his supporting of all of the wives but his behavior shows different, in my opinion – all this season he has tip toed with Jill/Lumann and Kelly- but has pointedly bought into the theme of “drunk ramona and bad taste in clothing Alex- I understand he may not be in control of the blogs at bravo- and i also understand his need to keep all the “wives ” happy- I just get a little frustrated when there are live situations and he back pedals because he doesn’t want to upset jz or Lumann

        • Powell says:

That’s why they need a guest blogger @ the reunion.

  10. ChiTownRocks says:

Great blog as usual. As for the whole Countless Lucifer thing. Cat O summed it up best on her twitter, when she said that “Those with class, don’t talk about having class”. I couldn’t agree more with this. The only thing money brought is woman was a title, she shouldn’t even have and can’t get through her thick head that America doesn’t recognize titles. Of course, she will never remarry, that would mean giving up her precious title. I can almost hear her in a corner like that hobbit from the LOTR’s trilogy screaming “Precious Precious” in her man like voice.

  11. shiny14 says:

I’m another newbie who found your blog thanks to Jill’s husband mentioning it on the show. What a delightful discovery: I wish I’d known about it since it began!

I can’t believe that Jill thinks patenting her name for products means no one else can ever mention it in a title. Maybe she now thinks she can tell people she doesn’t like that they can’t say it either. She will be “the one whose name must not be said” when what she really wants is to be mentioned (ie praised and noticed) all the time and to be “the one who must be obeyed.”

    • Kansas Girl says:

      Welcome!

    • happygal says:

Welcome from one newbie to another! You are so right about the patent thing… doesn’t fly and she really doesn’t know what she is talking about… oh wait… she never knows about what she is talking about when she is an “authority on any given subject” … what was i thinking….

    • Indy501 says:

      Welcome!

    • Denise says:

Yes, exactly. As if we can’t say, Ford, Keebler, Black and Decker, etc., etc. She hasn’t got a clue, does she?

      • Okie Folkie says:

Welcome! YES, I believe we will now know Jill as “The Reality non-Star Formerly Known as………………” 😉
        Glad you found us!

        Thanks again, Baawby!

        • shiny14 says:

Wow! Specific welcomes made me grin and really feel part of this group already.
“She who must be obeyed” is how British TV’s Rumpole used to refer (groaningly) to his overbearing wife; I wonder if that’s how Bobby really feels. With more coffee before posting, I might have even typed the quote correctly 🙂

  12. Error404 says:

Quote from gather article : ” Zarin wishes that her husband Bobby had been more involved in the situation, as he may have been a mediator between the two. ”

Um, no. Although bawby did given surprisingly good advice over pizza that one time, he made it crystal clear in st John that he sided with his wife. How is that an impartial mediator? Bawby has proven himself numerous times to be jill’s biggest enabler.

  13. Error404 says:

OT but I just read that they reinstated don’t ask don’t tell again! Ugh, what’s with the on again off again decisions.

    • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

      Hi Error~
I still love our Pres. but wish he would make a law & stand by it. It is not fair to you or anyone else who is gay to not have the same rights as everyone else.

      • kbinldo says:

The President can’t “make a law.” Only Congress can, & as long as the Republican party is controlled by BSC religious fundamentalists, all this DADT & gay marriage drama is going to continue.

    • When I first heard this I honest to goodness thought it was a joke because it makes no common sense. And while I don’t want to get into politics, I believed when O took office by week 2 we’d have had an executive order and end of story. Makes me INSANE that it is has been this long and just a lot of back and forth. I am now shaking with anger and it is way too early for a drink!

      • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

Midwest~that’s what I meant. Sometimes I don’t go into details because it’s hard to type with arthritis. Thank you for correcting me all of you..:)

    • Rhetorica says:

Error, I may be wrong, but I think they want to make sure all the training is done. So its on the original time line.

      • kbinldo says:

How hard is it to train the folks in command “You can’t discharge or pick on someone because they’re gay”?

        • blondieDana says:

Exactly! You learn that in the sandbox, honey!

        • Rhetorica says:

kb, im with you! But some of the “training” has been reported as just gay bashing & jokes by the trainers with gays & lesbians sitting there quiet cause they cant speak up! Can you imagine? So sensitivity training HAS to begin from the non coms & officers or I’m afraid there will be trouble & maybe voilence. My son was in Iraq @ the beginning of the war & said they were on such a tight rope that much of the misconduct happening now would never have happened then because the leaders wouldn’t put up with it. Hope this makes sense.

          • Peggygee says:

Gay rights have progresses little under Presidents from either side. It’s up to us to call our congressmen, sign petitions, educate are children and to stand up for the rights of our fellow human beings. Government has no business telling any adult who they can or can’t marry.

        • Mommy Smurf says:

My husband is in the military and I believe they need EVERY bit of the training. Otherwise they will have a ton of backlash. My husband is an Army Ranger and we are stationed at Fort Benning, Ga…..not the most gay friendly place (my husband is against dont ask dont tell). With that being said, if they don’t do extensive training, I honestly believe that it could actually be more harmful to the homosexual men and women enlisted. People have to be trained in order to know what is and isin’t acceptable behavior. For example, say someone gay was being harrassed or picked on, if the harrasser is not thoroughly trained on the issue then he/ she can use that as an excuse…..which then opens the door to a shit storm of problems for the military. *****disclaimer******** I am on strong pain meds still….so, if this doesnt make sense sorry!

Thanks for the link- First- As a person of this faith- This blogger/fan/ worshiper of Jill makes me sick! She has NO perspective of Real life and how to observe this person_ Zarin- Zarin is Everything i cannot stand- She she is pushy, cheap, must be in the limelight, insecure, and down right mean- The joke is all of those traits could be anyone or any faith ( think of those that go to the funerals and picket, etc) so to say people are down on her because of her faith is not the case- Yes there are always going to be people who are against faith- no matter what it is- and that is wrong and not what our country is founded on- But to use that excuse for the repeated behavior she does, day in and out is appalling- And to claim she doesn’t read the blogs or care is horse sh*t- Why then does she have Mags( I must hunt down any reference to JZarin to destroy the writer named Lynn) Reynolds trying to shut down this blog, hmmmmmm –
Sorry I just get worked up-

      • kbinldo says:

If someone actually said “I hate Jill Zarin because she’s Jewish,” I would be the first in line to pound them flat with a baseball bat. That is wrong. But to equate “hating” someone because of their behavior that you’ve witnessed (because it was put on film & then TV) with anti-Semitism is also wrong, because you’re now playing the “victim” card to shut down discussion.

        • happygal says:

Exactly… and by doing that – you feed int exactly what you would not want- It is so frustrating because there is hate about religions- all religions and for her to cling to that is such a crime- i am so sick of her victim this and I am a big person that- she is a self hating person period.

          • Rory P. Bellows says:

why can’t lynn use this blog to counter mags and evil jill (BB referemce) i mean its straight from the horses ass…..

    Good morning and Happy Saturday!!!

Great recaps from the show yesterday and from the blogs today. I only read the blogs (todays only about the blonds) and will be back tonight to read the rest. I am enjoying my time away from work, but will be back home tonight… And will catch up with all.

Glad the blog is here where I can find it and we all can come over.

“See” you guys later – California.

  16. Mel says:

Jill is using Mags as a sound piece, since jill can’t respond to Lynn directly. The more Jill attempts to stop the site from posting or demanding other castmates from not communicating with Lynn…the bigger the blog will be. The funny thing is, Jill treats Ramona and Simon like dirt, and then expects them to do her the favor by not bringing attention to this blog? Many celebrities have blogs about them that are not in the best light…..they ignore it because they have alot going on. D-list celeb like Jill is digging her self in deeper by trying to battle. The blog does not hurt anyone and has many other shows and discussions beyond Jill Zarin. I get that she does not like the name of it, but once you put yourself on TV there is no turning back. You get the good with the bad. It’s funny how she single out only simon, yet many housewives have givin interviews / tweeted with Lynn.

    • Scorpiosue1102 says:

I hope Lynn’s blog gets bigger and bigger despite all of Jill’s pitiful attempts to stop the blog. What Jill does not get that if she was a decent human being there would be no blog. Jill reminds me of those kids that put their hands over their ears when they don’t want to hear any kind of bad things. She thinks that if she closes this great blog that all this will go away. WRONG! Even if this blog went bye bye, which it won’t, people would find a way to voice their dislike of Jill.

    • Need a Hobby says:

If Jill was really smart PR wise, and she isn’t, she should have regarded the blog’s name as a joke and played along with it or played it off. She could have showed that she had a sense of humor about herself (even if she was faking it) and indeed looked like a larger person, rather than the petty vindictive grudge keeper that she appears to be on the show. She could have treasured her real fans (apparently there are some) and perhaps won others over by at least not taking this shit so seriously.

She could have taken a few lessons from Bethenny. Someone attacks B on Twitter, she responds, if she does at all, with a joke. Someone once said, “Your face is ugly” & she responded, “You should see my ass!” LOL Just plays it off and keeps on going, recognizing that not everyone is going to love, love, love her and there will be critics or even “haters.” B’s smart: she’s not trying to beat her critics into submission or silence, she just focuses on promoting herself, her brand, and showing appreciation to her fans.

But that’s not Jill. She’s not that big of a person, who sees the bigger picture and knows that’s what’s really important. No, she picks these little battles to fight—on the show and in real life—and doesn’t see how much that diminishes her. As well as reinforcing the image of the scheming obsessive petty and very small person we see on the show.

Jill could have been a fave on RHONY if she continued to play the funny, self-deprecating yenta we first saw. We could laugh at her foibles, she could sheepishly admit she was wrong. Bethenny brought her down to earth, gave her some perspective and good advice and showed Jill could laugh at herself. But when Jill turned against Bethenny and fraudulently played the victim, that was the end of the reasonably sympathetic funny Jill. Instead of recovering, Jill continued to repeat the behavior that led to her drop in popularity, both on the show & in real life. She can’t let go of petty slights and loses sight of her goal, which is to not only be famous but to be liked, to be popular. So apparently desperate to be famous and popular, she continues to do the very things that led people to dislike or even loathe her. You can’t force people to like you Jill and you can’t silence thousands (a very conservative estimate) of critics. Just let it go.

The more you try to screw in real life with the “little unimportant people” you evidently disdain, the more you reinforce your negative image and appear the bully. And ironically, the more you and your minions threaten them, the more important you make them. Don’t you get it? You don’t put out a fire by feeding it more fuel. But Jill feeds on conflict, and demands vindication even when she’s wrong. And she doesn’t see how that sabotages her other need to be popular and liked. She’s her own worst enemy. Own that, Jill.

      • dsc60 says:

excellent post! you absolutely hit the nail on the head over and over. it goes back to season one when Ramona “had to pay” because she didn’t invite jill to a small dinner party. But Bethenny kept neutralizing jill. Bethenny is gone. jill chased her away because of an imaginary injustice she felt Bethenny committed against her. jill blew it and continues to do so. jill is her own worst enemy. and her being Jewish has NOTHING to do with it.

  17. vilzvet says:

Here is the check off list that Jill was filling out at her FREE doctor’s appointment:

    Mood swings
    Anger (ya think?!)
    Depression, “a little” she wrote
    Attention deficit
    Poor attention
    Nicotine cravings
There was nothing about alcohol on the list, darn….

Remember how Kelly has complained and blamed Bethenny for putting her in the press all the time. Well this past week, Kelly was on Page Six of the Post nearly every day! She’s selling her “jewelry” today out in the Hamptons.

Unfortunately Maggie Reynolds blocked me (shocker), but she needs to know that she is as big a moron as her boss.

    • I suspect that Jill was the gossip leak for the stories about Kelly in Page Six but of course, Kelly blamed Bethenny. Kelly is under the impression that Bethenny is the only person on the planet who dislikes her. Before Jill became BFFs with LuAnn and Kelly, there were quite a few items about them in the gossip columns. That stopped all of a sudden……Hmm. I wonder why?

      • MaggieG says:

My recollection about the leaks regarding Kelly are different than yours. I remember that the leaks in question were the negative stories (people rarely object to free publicity in order expand their platform) & actions that were considered unfavorable to her ability to earn.
During one of the reunions the accusation was made that Bethenny tried to convince some of the other Housewives not to film with Kelly, which Bethenny acknowledged as true. Since even Ramona denounced Bethenny as “a media whore” the information that the viewer was provided seemed to add up to Bethenny being the instigator.

        • Indy 501 says:

The year Kelly was on bethenny already had her foot out the door. After the way Kels treated her im not surprised that she may have lobbied other hws.

Media whore? Product to market marketting = multi millions. Id say smart cookie.

          • ms molly says:

Ditto!! Bethenny was trying so hard to get her brand out there, she didn’t have time to cook up stories about someone else.

        • and yet most likely the source was none other then Jill
Bethenny had way too much on her plate to worry about Koo KOO
let alone plant stories that involved her children
it all came out on scary island again which showed that all of it was in koo koos head

        • dsc60 says:

the way kelly treated Bethenny the first year of course she told the others not to film with her. i can’t blame her for that and yes, she did admit it. that doesn’t equate to Bethenny putting kelly in the press. i have a feeling Bethenny couldn’t have cared less about kelly. and i’m sure if Bethenny did put her in the press, she would have proudly told her she did.

        • Need a Hobby says:

As I recall both Jill and Bethenny wanted Kelly off the show. It wasn’t just Bethenny who didn’t want to film with Kelly, it was Jill too. It wasn’t until later when Jill needed an ally against Bethenny that Jill cozied up to Kelly and became her “bestest bff.”

Well I spent some time last night researching Copyright Law…. I was once sued in Federal Court for this…. I did Architectural Designing…Construction Plans and On Site management for years…
I WON….and dint even use an Attorney….I always wanted to be a lawyer but chose a different path..
So on to the rest of the story..
JZ CANNOT COPYRIGHT HER ” NAME ” in fact no one can….BUT she could trademark it…but there are pitfalls with that also…..
I found this statement to be the best…
    Quote:
[*]As a public person can I trademark my name in order to censor sensitive negative comments about me?
Trademark rights in a term do not give you the right to police other people’s use of the term. They only allow you to object to a “use in commerce” that is “likely to cause confusion” among consumers as to the origin of goods and services. Essentially, this boils down to stopping a competitor from using your name in a way that somehow misleads people about the origin of the relevant goods and services.

So, no, it doesn’t help you do anything about negative comments by anyone.
    Diva

    • JillhAter says:

      Great post!

    • Duchess of Dryer Lint says:

That is what I saw last night, too. Jill’s trademark applies specifically to candles(?) and loosely encompases her connection to Zarin Fabrics as well. If you were to use her name in a context that confused consumers (if you started selling candles or fabric) then the trademark would apply. But not in this instance.

    • So, as long as it is clear that when I say ‘I hate Jill Zarin’ and the reader understands clearly that ‘I hate Jill Zarin’ it is legal for me to say/type/whatever that I hate Jill Zarin?

I really just needed to get that out.

      • Thedesigndiva says:

YES… Freedom of Expression is not censored by Trademark Law or any other Law… At least this year in America…..

        • degroohj says:

Diva, that is very impressive that you were able to defend yourself, without an attorney, regarding trademarking. Stay away from shapewear, candles, and bed linens Lynn!

The US Constitution and its amendments protect the fundamental rights of citizens in this society. It’s what makes this country what it is. This is the same Constitution (and amendment in question) that protects the freedom of assembly and protest of the very controversial (and IMHO vial) Westboro Baptist Church and its protests of funerals of our fallen soldiers. Their rights were protected when legally challenged under the constitution. Immoral…IMHO yes. Unethical…IMHO yes. Illegal…no. Entitled…yes.

If the families of our fallen soldiers could not challenge this right (despite the obvious emotions and drive to do so), neither will Jill Zarin or any other public figure who detests what the public is saying about them. Sucks for them, but very true… As Caroline Manzo would say, use the experience to see yourself the way others may see you and learn from it…

You poor dear, but you fought the good fight and won. You’re obviously a really smart woman. My deepest sympathy on the loss of your son.

Your “legal” opinion on the trademark issue is very clear. Sounds like the only possible way for Jillousy to object with any legal grounds is If Lynn were making money from the blog and if the site appeared to be “I Hate” (by) Jill Zarin…..(tee hee) a phrase that fits her attitude, of course.

    • moneycanbuyyouass says:

As a former corporate paralegal I had the opportunity to dabble a bit in trademark law. It is a fascinating area, IMHO! A couple of cases I always enjoyed were the the following, I don’t have the exact references as I am no longer in the legal business:
Hallmark v Haulmark. Hallmark, we obviously all know, Haulmark makes trailers. Haulmark won as they were not competing for the same goods/services. Another one was Bookbinders (Restaurant) v Bookbinders (Restaurant). The original Bookbinders sold his restaurant and its goodwill ( i.e. name) then turned around and started up a new restaurant somewhere nearby. The court found in favor of the original owner because his name was Bookbinder and he is entitled to use his own name. That is why companies can really get stuck in branding products if the don’t due a thorough due diligence and make sure they have not chosen a name already in use that could cause confusion.

    • What it basically boils down to is; if you use Jill Zarin’s name to market something (in other words, make money off her name) she could pursue legal redress. If you use her name to say that you think she is a narcissistic, jealous, social climbing arriviste that real New York Society matrons wouldn’t bother to look down their noses at, well, she just has to put up and shut up. Especially so being it is true.

  20. heykatgo says:

Learning about Alex’s fairly affluent upbringing was quite interesting. Certainly her manners and intelligence indicate someone who was brought up well and in a cultured environment. Compare this to LULU’s more humble upbringing and it is quite ironic. Alex is the one person LuLu has constantly attacked for being a wannabe and social climber. Now, as it turns out, Alex may be the one lady out of them all who grew up in a higher social society than her castmates. There’s a poetic justice there. LuLu refers to Alex as a social climber and aspirational but who is the one clinging to a paper title that she married into and is now divorced from? She claims Alex and Simon are trying to use her (and the others) to better themselves. LuLu darling- you are not a member of high society. You are a somewhat broke ex-wife of a count who pays casual attention to her children and has a rep for sleeping around. How many members of royalty have invited you to their clambakes since the count dropped you?
And if “beauty, class and elegance lie within the soul” than you have none of these because, it is obvious, you have no soul.

Side note- Kelly has been appearing less and less as the season goes on. I seriously hope this is a phasing out process and she vanishes forever.

    • moneycanbuyyouass says:

heykatgo – Your post here has had me thinking all day about Lulu. She obviously did not start out on the same rung as Alex yet she perceives herself as someone who has been of higher status for some time. I have also been thinking about her discussion with Ramona where Ramona served her up and aced her out!. Lulu has spoken of her siblings (5-6 of them?) and what a tough hide she has. I don’t see it. I think her siblings may have got the best of her. I see a hurt little girl who chooses “flight” over “fight” . She may try to land a punch or two, but she’s so ready to run that her punches don’t reach their target. She has done this with everyone she feels is beneath her. I think Alex takes time to boil as she tries to reason things out. To many this comes off as weakness but really, I just don’t think she gets that bent out of shape – she simply isn’t that threatened. The same is true of Ramona. She is confident in herself, so go ahead and fling the mud, but it ain’t going to stick. Confidence is key my friends, elegance eh, not so much!!!

      • dsc60 says:

i like your last line… but i’m thinking that luann and elegance isn’t even on the same page. IMO luann comes across as offensive. it isn’t elegant to look down your nose at someone or to think you can, should or to even want to.

      • heykatgo says:

I agree. Alex strikes me as someone who is very intelligent and well educated. I think it’s her educated manner that make some think she is pretentious. Being cultured and educated, and appreciating those things, does not make one pretentious. She comes off as one of the most down to earth and insightful of all the housewives. Because of this, she does not fight the same way. I don’t see her as weak during arguments. She just has a hard time processing crazy (which is primarily what she has to deal with). During arguments she continues to state her case in a calm rational tone even when the other person is yelling or being a nut. If Alex were truly weak she would just run or sink to the same level. To quote Bethenny “just because you yell louder doesn’t make you right.”
She is not weak- she just won’t sink to LuLu or Kelly’s level. Ultimately because i think she doesn’t care enough.

    • Just like her new BFF Jill, the “Countess” is a narcissistic, jealous, social climbing arriviste at whom real New York Society matrons wouldn’t bother to look down their noses to acknowledge. You can bet that she was, at best, “tolerated” when she was married to that Euro-trash Count. Probably the reason he dumped her. Went and got himself a woman ‘to the manor born’ – well the palace actually. You know, born with a title and some flavor.

As anyone with real class knows; the only person shallower than someone clinging to their family’s faded glory is the bottom-feeders that glom onto them.

  21. A fantastic recap as usual. Thank you Lynn. Does anyone here have any idea why Jill sets her target on Ramona? Is it pure jealousy that started before the show began? Is it that when the show first aired, Ramona was the first housewife that they focused on? Is it that Jill wishes her husband were traditionally handsome? I am so curious because the longer I watch this show the more I see that mean girl focus never leaves Ramona for more than a few minutes. And Jill’s Bravo blog this weeks is no different. She leaves the subject of Ramona briefly and then takes a u-turn and goes right back at her. Is Ramona the real alpha girl and that drives Jill crazy?

    • plainviewsue says:

Jill, in her twisted brain, blames Ramona not only for her split with Bethenny, but for pretty much everything that goes wrong in her life. I think she sees Ramona as the biggest threat on the show because not only is she beautiful, she married for love (not security), is an excellent businesswoman, has a beautiful and thin daughter (which is so horrible, cos Allie is a beautiful girl. Too bad her mom referred to her fat ass on television for all to hear) and truly has a huge circle of friends.

Jill’s attempts at business have all failed.

      • AF says:

Speaking of Jill and Ally – Jill’s interactions with Ally really disturb me sometimes. I do think she loves Ally, but it’s been clear to me for sometime that she wishes Ally could be thin. Which I find so nauseating because it’s not like Ally is lazy and over eats – she has arthritis for christ’s sake! It’s not like it’s easy for her to get up and work out for three hours every day, like I’m sure Jill is able to do.

Ally’s probably going to be a little overweight for the remainder of her life because physical activity is hard for her. But, it’s not like she’s a cow. She’s a beautiful and intelligent young girl. But I don’t think Jill always sees that.

However, given Jill’s own mother, her behavior regarding Ally doesn’t shock me. After seeing the way Gloria treats Jill, it’s obvious that the mother-daughter dysfunction was passed down to Jill. I just hope Ally doesn’t turn out to be as screwed up as her mom…

        • Ally is a beautiful girl! I think she is so pretty. She reminds me of the daughter of a friend of mine. That girl is also not stick thin and truthfully she is so pretty and sunny looking it makes no difference whatsoever. In fact I think it adds to her charm because she looks sparkly and warm. Victoria is the girl I worry about. She is desperate for someone to pay attention to her.

        • happygal says:

heykatgo- you are right on- i wrote about this when i saw how she was in the store shopping with her. Jill is doing exactly what her mother did to her- (DIDN’T tun out well)
It is very disturbing to show that behavior today as we have all learned to be negative about body image does tremendous damage- and i think that this totally started with Ally at an early age, Jill would not have been able to help herself not to- The good news is that Ally seems to know her mother’s buttons, knows how to push them and now in college, will have the freedom to discover herself- I wish the best for Ally and hope zarin get’s off her back- Well one can only hope…..hahahahaha

        • Rose Colored Glasses says:

The comments Jill made about Allie on the school shopping trip were so insensitive and unkind.

        • Kansas Girl says:

I’m not sure arthritis prevents physical activity, or at least many types. I’ve got a friend with rheumatoid A and she’s a star tennis player. Seems like the key is to keep doing it regularly to keep the joints active.

I do think some of the medicines may cause weight gain, and I’ve wondered if that’s affected her as she’s grown. But basically, Jill makes very poor choices in Allie’s clothing. In different clothing, she’d look totally different. Allie does better when she does the choosing. She is, as so many have said before, stunning. And she seems to have a good sense of humor too. I find myself liking her very much when she’s on.

      • happygal says:

I totally agree with plainviewsue- Jill is very jealous of Ramona- and i think the new producer of this season was besties with the mean girls- that also takes into play how the show was driven to make it out like ramona was a “drunk” etc- Ramona mentioned the “producer” in her newsletter last week in reference to how the shooting schedule had changed to more late nights shoots- causing the conversation between her and Avery-
I really think that Shed Media and Jill?Lumann etc have a vested interest – somehow and this has caused this whole episode to have this negative slant against the blondes-

      • cabbie413 says:

On the last #rhony reunion, Bethenny mentioned Jill sending her daughter to fatcamp on camera. I didn’t watch Season one so I had to go back and see what she was talking about, since I never noticed Ally much on the show at all (being a late comer to the show)

Now during the opening credits, Jill’s daughter has on an awful dress. It doesn’t flatter her figure AT ALL and I’ve seen pics of her many times wearing short skirts that only bring attention to her tree trunk legs. You’d think Jill and/or her stylist would help Ally find something that’s figure flattering.

Now her mom has said to “squeeze her fat ass” while shopping and called something else she put on “disgusting” ..all this on national tv. I feel sorry for her.

For some of the comments I’ve read here, I just wanted to say that being thin doesn’t automatically mean you’re Pretty. and Being plus size doesn’t mean you’re ugly or unwanted. Ally is cute, she just needs to find something that is flattering to her figure

        • AF says:

Yeah, during the first season, Jill sent Ally to some kind treatment center (I don’t remember what Jill actually called the place) in the hopes that it would help Ally with her arthritis. When Ally came home, the only thing Jill could say was, “OH MY GAWD ALLY, YOU’RE SO THIN! YOU HAVE A WAIST! OH MY GAWD!” To be fair, Ally did lose some weight and she looked wonderful, but I can’t recall Jill saying, “Oh, honey, how do you feel?” As in, was Ally in pain, did her joints feel better, etc. For Jill, it was just all about Ally’s outward appearance.

I think this is why Bethenny referred to the place as “fat camp” – because Jill was so focused on Ally’s weight at the time (and seems to be now as well).

Ramona and Jill have always been competitive. For 2 seasons people enjoyed, but were confused by Ramona. After Jill’s hatchet job last year- her popularity plummeted and Ramon’s grew. If there is a primary star of RHNY it is Ramona. Love or hate her- she is a big character and personality. Plus she is a very successful business woman- which Jill is not. Mostly I think it is because Ramona knows Jill well enough to call her out on her bs and expose Jill for who she really is. The whole plotline of “is Ramona a drunk?” was ridiculous. Obviously she said Pinot Grigio ten million times this season because she was promoting her own wine and wanted to be seen drinking and enjoying it. Much like Bethenny would always ask for a Skinny Girl drink.
      Jillousy

      • cabbie413 says:

Just wanted to say that I think RAmona competes with herself–she’s a businesswoman so she wants to move up business ladder. Jill is competitive because Jill doesn’t like who she is so she tries to one-up someone to make herself feel better.

The competition is really onesided – Jill starts it all..really, it’s all in Jill’s head because she has no self worth.

    • Indy501 says:

I pretty much agree with Plainview Sue. Mario and Ramona have been married a long time (19 yrs) and it is obviously a love match. Avery is their child…=simpler family dynamics than Jills. Remember the emphasis on Bobby and Allie’s shaky relationship in S1? Jill never discusses how long she’s been married to BZ. I’ll bet it’s under 7-10yrs.
In the Jewish Journal article she shares that her first marriage lasted 10years, she was single mom for @3 years but she never mentions how long she and BZ were married.
Does anyone know anything about Bobby’s first wife?

*Ramona is a self-made woman. To start and own your own company in the garment business is no easy task and the day to day negotiations alone will build your strengths.
*Mario runs a family-owned jewelry business. Their specialty is wholesale religous jewelry manufacturing. (having been in the business myself….he ain’t making peanuts). Branching out to True Faith with Ramona was a natural…he knows the jewelry biz and she can market and promote it…Brilliant.
*They own tasteful and elegant homes. Park Avenue & Southhampton
      * Ramona seems to have a fabulous circle of friends, outside of the show, that have appeared on camera. Jill?
      Hello? Anyone?
      * Ramona is a pretty woman, with a rockin’ body.
I could go on. But I think that Ramona’s demeanor the first couple of seasons was that of a high-strung filly being let out of the gate. I think that she as enough self-awareness that she was trying to find her footing and kept missing the mark. I think that she found her footing the last couple of seasons.
Ramona tried to broker the peace between Bethenny and Jill. Remember who got in the way? LuAnn. She kept encouraging Jill to leave Ramona’s apt. Every time Jill was snarky LouAnn was there. Jill doesn’t have a central core….she is not true to herself.
She can be swayed by anyone and anything. Women swayed by other women is a topic near and dear to my heart. But I digress.

Have a great day. I’m hoping to get to the pool if the sun comes back out. I closed a big and tense deal yesterday and deserve the rest.

    • lola says:

It is pure jealousy. Ramona has everything that Jill doesn’t. Obviously Ramona has some clout otherwise the ladies would have torn her to shreds like they tried to do to Alex. The fact that they all seem to “forgive” Ramona lets me know that she has some standing in NYC just like Sonja. Ramona is successful in her own right and has a sexy husband who dishes it as well as he can take it. Jill hates Ramona but never went at her like she did Bethenny. Ramona has some clout.

    • It is probably because Ramona is a businesswoman in her own right. Everyone knows Jill had to marry her money. The only thing Jill can claim about business is that she is always at the ready to stick her nose in everyone else’s.

    • Please see the above.

    • dsc60 says:

i’m sure it’s jealousy and many of the reason that have been mentioned. however, i mentioned before that during season one, it was the first or second show, Ramona had a dinner party and didn’t invite jill. because of it, jill said about Ramona – “she’s done.” it’s very sad that i could even think someone could be so petty to carry on about something so trivial for years but if anyone would do it, it’s jill.

      • dsc60 says:

what’s even sadder is that jill probably would rather have us think the above is the reason instead of the truth which is she’s jillousy of Ramona.

“BUT if she doesn’t reign in Simons mind set she won’t get any closer to the top”

I am beginning to agree that Simon’s constant attention seeking antics (wearing skirts and long priestly like robes? Oh Simon you’re SO unusual! *yawn*) will eventually hold Alex back – but is also holding *him* back.

Sometimes, the RHONY ladies just bitch and moan to hear the sound of their own voices- and sometimes they have a point. Simon has rubbed almost every single one of them the wrong way at one point or another- and Alex is the one who takes the brunt of the backlash.

I know that Simon calling LuAnn the Countess with the “O” in front of it really, really bothered some here- I’m still mulling it over. Regardless, it was said on national television with his children present. At the very best it is a misogynist term.

Simon- I know you read the blog- Time to crank the “EDIT” knob all the way up, and filter your words much more than you do.

IMHO Simon and Alex don’t seem to know to quit when they are ahead. Simon says something many consider ugly, as in the offending reference, when they held the higher ground. Alex explained this weakness that she and he share, of basically liking to overdo whatever thing they are doing that goads people. Thus the fashion choices as explained by Alex. She and he share this, without realizing how often they shoot themselves in the foot.

        • TLM says:

She doesn’t get it. She thinks they’re being bold risk-takers, when they just look like fools. And they always have to shove it in peoples’ faces that they wear expensive designer clothing. I hate to keep comparing to Bethenny, but she’s actually proud to tell people when she finds things at Old Navy or J Crew or Target. Alex acts like she would rather die than buy things at any of those places. I see her as not unlike Luann in many regards. Maybe that’s why she has such distaste for Luann. Does anyone remember Alex telling the Countess, “You’re listening better now than you were before” and Luann saying, “Oh thank you Alex, I didn’t realize this is Alex class and you’re the teacher.”

I believe that people essentially don’t change. I was watching Bethenny last night when she was on Martha Stewart Apprentice, way before so many things changed in her life, and she is the same, down to earth, hardworking person. The only difference is that it seems she toned down her language a bit. And likewise, Alex and Simon are the same pretentious, desperate attention seekers and famewhores we saw in Season 1 whom no one could stand. The only thing that changed that temporarily was Alex standing up to Jill, but even when she stood up for Bethenny at Ramona’s event and at Jennifer’s apartment, I feel she made a fool of herself and personally I feel she jumped on the Bethenny situation to get more camera time, even back then. People can say I’m crazy, but that’s how I see it.

          • Rose Colored Glasses says:

Remember the over the top clothes shopping with excessive references to titanium AmEx and six figures spent according to Simon in S1 (always wondered where the decimal point was on that cause just saying they looked foolish) People who genuinely have either abundant money or class should not need to announce it. In doing so the people on these shows only reveal financial and social insecurity. Whenever any of these women on these franchises go overboard you can expect setbacks will follow. Hence the pratfalls of Luanne, Taylor, Camille etc. nevermind the actual grifters Salahis, Giudices and other wannabee debtors. We on blogs get to be the Greek chorus. That’s why it isn’t a guilty pleasure or hateful to comment on IHJZ. This is a necessary chorus of common sense, comedy, support and goodwill sought out by people who question the avarice and self delusion of the paid participants.

            • dsc60 says:

when you naturally like someone you tend to overlook things you may not overlook about someone you dislike. i’ve heard people say that Bethenny does the some of the same things we complain about with others we don’t like – but Bethenny wears it all better. Alex’s pretentiousness is more palatable than luann’s. Alex doesn’t look down at others or think others beneath her, luann does. that alone makes a difference.

              • happygal says:

dsc60- you have it so right- We take all things into consideration of the people we like and look to understand and forgive- especially if they own up to the things we question.
Alex seems to me to be the girl who was smart, mannered, exposed to the arts and culture at a young age and also had parental expectations of how one behaves. I do not think she was part of the popular set but more the artsy set- and that continued as she matured. She and Simon go together well… but they both in the first season really did seem like they wanted to be in the society columns etc… and got called out for it- They have there niche of friends, love there lives, children and each other and over all are a very strong family- there is, though, this stuff that Simon just can’t seem to stop- he becomes very over the top- about everything… and i don’t know if it is his background and where he grew up, his occupation of catering to the well to do in the hotels he managed or what- the one thing i am sure of is that he loves her dearly- and that really seems to bother the 3 witches….

              • TLM says:

I felt Alex was looking down on people in the suburbs when she did that sneer in S1. I happen to live in a suburb, and I fail to see how that makes me inferior to her, less sophisticated or knowledgeable.

To be fair, I didn’t know why Bethenny was so freaked out at Hazleton, or why she felt it was so out of her realm. It just seemed like a typical small town, and she’s lived all over the place, and by her own admission she’s been around seedy characters at the racetrack growing up. I think she was laying it on thick to be funny, but I thought some of her comments were over the top and insulting to people who live there. Jason’s friends didn’t look or dress especially different from people in NYC. In fact, they were far more well-groomed than Nick, whom Bethenny immediately loved. In the end she redeemed herself when she cried at Jason’s friends saying they would be her friends/family/roots, and she hugged them.

I don’t know what it is about Alex. I find a certain stiffness and coldness to her that she can’t seem to drop, and for me that makes it impossible to feel close to her. It makes everything she says feel like an affectation to me. When Bethenny had just told Alex she was pregnant, Alex said that people may not think of Bethenny as being very motherlike, and I found that ironic since that’s how I always felt about Alex. I could very easily see Bethenny as a mom before she was one, but I could not believe Alex had 2 kids; she never seemed to me like she would be into having kids, or being a Mom, and even when I’ve watched her engage with them, she seems more like their school teacher than their Mom. She just is so stiff all the time and doesn’t exude warmth. That’s just my take…I only speak for myself.

  23. JZ implied there was something wrong (pornographic) with R rubbing Mario’s feet. Now I feel like the worst babysitter in history as last night we were babysitting a friend’s 7 year old and we were all in our pj’s, watching cartoons, and I was rubbing hubs feet. Do I need to confess to her parents? Have I confused her as to what is appropriate in terms of two adults in a committed relationship? Will she grow up to be a foot rubbing philanderer?

    • Silly Jilly just mentioned that massage scene because she is trying to twist the story around to make her “gotcha having double standards” point. If you look at the two scenes (Money Can’t Buy You Class video vs. Ramona massages Mario scene), there is no comparison. In one LuAnn is writhing in bed with four men (one of whose head is inches away from her crotch) and in the other Ramona is flirting with her husband of what? 19 years?

What disturbs me is that Ms. Zirconia is going after a teenaged girl’s wish that her mother not do something embarrassing. And it is not like it is not believable that Avery would be embarrassed. From moment one of this show Avery has proven to have a far lower threshold for embarrassment than the housewives.

I found a photo of Avery from the first time she appeared on camera, when Ramona is choosing outfits for the Hamptons and Avery is disgusted/skeptical of her choices. It perfectly captures a teen girl’s 100% certainty that her mother is nuts. (But now we know for sure after that adorable essay that Ramona is her hero). I love Avery and Ramona, too.

    • By TIM ROZGONYI, St. Petersburg Times
What is the best thing to say to two young newlyweds starting a life together?
Well, given that marriage is just about the biggest, scariest and most amazing commitment one can ever make (second to having children, of course), perhaps it would be good for this father of a newly minted bride to share some words of wisdom from people who have been married for years.
    1) If you think she’s beautiful, tell her.
    2) Make dinner together. Eat dinner together. Go to bed together.
    3) Your fantasy life should revolve around your wife, not your football team.
    4) Life is short. Say “I love you” at least once every day.
    5) The more time you spend trying to change your spouse, the less time you have for improving yourself.
    6) One of the sexiest things you can do in bed is to serve your spouse a nice breakfast.
    7) Talk to each other, not at each other. And really listen.
    8) It doesn’t matter what you think you’re fighting about. It always comes down to a choice between fear and love. Choose wisely.
    9) Write this into your wedding vows: “I promise to faithfully replace the toilet paper whenever I use the last of it.”
    10) Do things together. Do things apart.
    11) Career, personal goals and family are important, but nothing is more important than your relationship.
    12) The cruelest question you can ask a husband: “Notice anything different?”
    13) Be your spouse’s biggest cheerleader.
    14) If you’ve truly forgiven your spouse for something, you’ll never bring it up again.
    15) Your wife doesn’t need to know that you think that chick across the street has a great figure. (Not that there’s anything wrong with noticing.)
    16) Be spontaneously ridiculous and unabashedly silly. Make your spouse laugh. It nourishes your souls.
    17) No one person can give you everything you need.
    18) If he forgets your anniversary, don’t freak out about it. If he forgets your name, do.
    19) “What can I do for you, honey?”

    • Mookies1mom says:

I like that list. Mookie’s dad has this one down pat. “Be spontaneously ridiculous and unabashedly silly. Make your spouse laugh. It nourishes your souls.” I love it when he is silly and I can always count on him to make me laugh!

      • Nancy says:

        Mookie,
I agree. My husband and I laugh together all day long.
Our professional life at times is an on going nightmare so we need
an outlet. We might need help with #42. I do snuggle with Emily (pug)
more than I do with George but that’s not going to change. (Trust me
        George gets plenty of attention.)
        How old is Mookie now?

        • Mookies1mom says:

I can’t imagine the things you see at work! I had some pretty rough days when I worked in the mental health field and laughing really helps let go the stress of the day. We need help with #42 as well! We both snuggle with Mookie before going to sleep so Mookie gets double the attention, even if he doesn’t want it sometimes! Like George Mookie’s dad gets his full share of attention. I call them “my boys” and both of them don’t like getting a shower of kisses but they get them anyway. Usually with a stern statement of “how horrible it must be to be so loved”! LOL! Mookie is about 5 years old now. We got him from a rescue and he hasn’t stopped talking since! How old is Emily? Pugs are just so cute! I had a friend growing up that had a pug. She was so sweet, loved everybody, and wanted to sit in your lap so she could smother you in kisses!

  27. cabbie413 says:

At this point in taping..and prior, I think Luann still wanted to be in the circles that Sonja rolls in. Luann is single, even thought she has Jacque, but trust me, if someone richer came along, Luann would be ALL OVER IT. This is why Sonja has been off of Luann and Jill’s chopping block – they want her connections and want to run in her fabulous circle of the uber rich.

People, including myself at one time, accused Alex and Simon of being social climbers, MAINLY because that’s how Bravo packaged them to us. Now we see that it’s Jill and Luann who are the social climbers. They marry their station in life, or suck golden **ck as Cindy stated — unfortunately for Cindy she was unknowingly referencing Jill and Luann.

    • MaggieG says:

Sonja is charming so I hope she does still run in her fabulous circle of the uber rich.
The uber rich seem quick to distance themselves from those who experience a reversal of fortune. I remember Sonja & Ramona both mentioning that while they’ve known each other since their single days, they lost touch during Sonja’s marriage into the mega wealthy J.P. Morgan clan. It is the type of heady circle where they own their own islands & homes worldwide (which allegedly she cannot visit or inhabit now) so not necessarily compatible with Ramona’s circle. Old money types seem to not lend themselves to having their lives scrutinized by the general public.
Her first season she recalled running into Kelly when she & her crowd would yacht out to the Caribbean. This season while discussing possible destinations for the girls’ trip she points out to LuAnn that some European cities are a bit pricey. Not sure how that blends in with royal company or the movers & shakers whose names she’s always dropping.
But she’s a pistol, for certain.

  28. Rhetorica says:

I grew up smack in the middle class but my HS had some wealthy families. And the mean girls, always let us “poor” people know how beneath them we were. I remember talking to my daddy about it & he said, “People with money don’t talk about money”. Sorta like class.
Yeah, I still call him daddy.

    • Nancy says:

      Rhetorica,
Did you get my reply from yesterday?
Oh I wish I still had my “daddy”. I was only 38yrs old
when he passed away. He truly was my hero.
We don’t talk about money in my house because
their isn’t any money to talk about.
      Have fun this weekend. 🙂

      • Rhetorica says:

Nancy, I did! But I didn’t see u back on. You did what I wished I had done! I wanted to be a dancer but daddy said no so that was that. You should be proud you accomplished all you did – & have. My daddy passes when I was 39. Way too young. When my doc asked if there was any history of Alzheimer I just said we don’t live that long!

  29. michelef says:

Forgive me if someone has already addressed this – I think that when Ramona was mentioning a few times about Luann being a weekend mom she was actually warning her. She probably heard things and suspected that Victoria was up to no good and could use some more supervision. Similar to when she told Bethany that Jill likes the underdog.

speaking of dogs, I once had a neighbor who had a dog named Maggie Reynolds! Seriously!

    • happygal says:

I may have read here- This source of all the posters is so through 🙂
It seems that the episode with Victoria happened while Jill and Lumann were filming in AC-
Now The meeting with Ramona is just before that time, also Ramona had heard Avery write about how she feels she is her role model in that great report (by the way- the whole report is in the newsletter by Ramona and it really is an in depth report) so I think with that recent love from Avery, Ramona felt strong in her parenting and relationship with her daughter- She was able to stand firm and call out Lumann with her part time parenting-

      • WindyCityWondering says:

IA – my take was Ramona warning LuAnn that teenagers need the parent to be around even if they are not engaged in an activity together. Ramona knows the time is short before her daughter goes out into the world and it is very precious to her. In LuAnn/Victoria scene – Victoria is playing her mom big time – use my manners, be quiet and agreeable and she will be gone soon!

        • Nancy says:

I don’t believe for a second that Ramona accidentally
re-tweeted that video of Victoria. She just couldn’t
take any more of LuMans crap.

          • kellynnola says:

I suspect that Ramona might have known about Victoria’s behavior through Avery telling her things about her.

          • BessiB says:

I believe her when she says the RE tweet was an accident – not like it could not be traced back to her. But I think she was definitely trying to send it to Lulu.

        • michelef says:

I get what you mean and agree, but to me it seemed like Ramona had the info and was trying to tell Luann without telling her, ya know? Instead of coming out any saying “I hear that your daughter is on drugs” or whatever. Perhaps trying not to betray a confidence?
I totally agree with you also on Victoria playing her mom! There was a girl like that in my high school. (I guess there is one in every high school)

    • BessiB says:

Now that you point that out, i agree. Too coincidental that Ramona kept telling LuLu she thinks moms should be around more, yada yada them within a few week, BAM. That may have been so for a few years, when Ramona said something to LuLu about how she would never send her kid off to boarding school.

I don’t see anyone who knew LuLu would come out and tell LuLu about rumors heard about Victoria. First of all, because it is gossip, and second of all, LuLu denies everying – such as stuff about her and her husband reported to the press by multiple sources.

Kids talk, and Mama’s hear, and a lot of times Kids talk to their Mamas. Ramona knows lots of Mamas out in the Hampions whose kids go to school or hang in the crowd – those towns are small.

We’ve learned there is no prenup.

    • Nancy says:

What I thought was interesting was that doesn’t LuAnn have
any friends? Jill had to call her husband and her step son to fill in
      for “friends?”
That should be a clue LuMan! Also notice that Kelly and Jill
now spend weekends together in the Hamptons? What happened
to all those parties they WERE getting invited to? Obviously
Alex and Simon are climbing up the ladder and Jill, LuMan and KooKoo
are going down the ladder. Shame, eh?

      • Indy501 says:

Guys, catch the comment at the beginning as she’s putting her shoes on and quips, “they’re a little bit like HERMAN MUNSTER, but I like it.” Coincidence or not? Knowing Bethenny, I think not!

Do we need to tweet the link to Kelly so she will finally KNOW that Bethenny is a chef and not just a cook?

      • TLM says:

Kelly would just turn the conversation on its head and say something nonsensical like she always does, showing that she doesn’t get it.

        • vilzvet says:

Thanks for the link; I missed Denis Leary on the show and this is good stuff. Bethenny did state she bought a new place in NY right around the corner from wherever Denis lives. Did you notice how Joy Bitch Behar completely ignored Bethenny in her visit to the dressing room?

          • Nancy says:

Isn’t she awful? Is she friends with Jill?
That would explain a lot. If not what’s her problem?

Why is everyone now saying Bethenny sold her
brand for 100 million. What happened to the other 20 mil?

            • AF says:

I have no idea if Joy is friends with Jill or not, but I’m guessing that Joy treats Bethenny badly because she doesn’t take Bethenny seriously on any level. Obviously, I’m just making assumptions, but I really feel like Joy views Bethenny not as a serious business woman, but as a celebrity reality star who rose to fame and fortune the easy way (through reality television). Furthermore, I think the fact that Bethenny is now worth millions pisses Joy off because, as I said above, Joy probably doesn’t think Bethenny worked to earn her millions.

And, I say all of this as someone who neither likes nor hates Joy Behar. I’m neutral when it comes to the woman.

            • BessiB says:

              Nancy: It is just rounding.

    • burghgirl says:

Just watching this tiny impromptu clip illustrates just how AUTHENTIC Bethenny is… her quick wit and natural charisma is infectious ( in a good way 🙂 ) If you even try to imagine any of the other RHWs doing such a adlib interview- it would be painful – but she makes you want to see more. I really wanted to slam the door in Joy’s face for rudely breaking in and even more rudely ignoring B. You can tell that Denis had genuine affection for Bethenny and it will be nice if and when she gets her own talk show to see how she does…I think once she gets the hang of not talking too rapidly she will shine.

      • happygal says:

burghgirl- you beat me to it- You said everything i was thinking- and so well, i might add! Jill keeps trying and failing to be the voice- but only Bethenny had that ability to just say the stuff we were all thinking and laugh with us not at us-
She was so excited to see Dennis- That, JZ, is how people react when they really are happy to see someone… not the slimy smile and bared teeth you make….

        • BessiB says:

It also shows that Bethenny is not so full of herself that she would not drop an interview ‘all about her’ and kick it to someone else.

Oh, and look closely at the face Joy makes as she turns away to leave. You can’t see it full-on, but it is not pretty.

    • mimisfbay says:

That was fun! Great find…who knew she cooked for DLeary. I love that she is so self effacing and funny. The shoe comment was hilarious.

I don’t dislike JBehar, at all. Not that she would give a damn. Her lack of interaction with BF and her refusal to acknowledge her when they were filming her as co-host speaks volumes. I love that BF basically ignores those who dislike her and moves on. What the hell does she care if Joy likes her or not? Hey, not everyone is gonna love you…NEXT.

That is what grown ups do Jill and Maggot. We ignore and move on; we don’t try to grind the other person into dust, stamp our feet and hold our breath. Eegads she has just ruined the HW’s for me and I just really hate Jill more than ever for disrupting my guilty pleasure of reading IHJZ. Yes, Jill Zarin I hate you, so sue me. Mags keep notes and write a book about your experience working for she who must not be named, hey, maybe Lynn Hudson will let you interview her.

    • BessiB says:

Thanks for the links! Enjoyed the Bethenny & Dennis clip – so fun.

  35. brooksy says:

Calling a woman the “c” is like using the “n” or “f”-always unacceptable, meant to degrade and requiring an immediate, unconditional apology. I like Simon, but he needs to back down on this….

    • I missed the episode – but if he really said it – yuck. It’s a awful word – much worse than what Jill called Alex at the beginning of the season.
I like Alex – but class is not a dirty word – yes LuLu has made a mockery of the word, but I doubt anyone else cares much about it.
This blog has really gotten under Jill’s skin – and that makes me laugh. But I’m sorry that Lynn has to set up a new site. That’s a lot of work.

I have decided that from now on when I post about (you know who) I will refer to it as the “SHE DEVIL” and therefore I am not bullying, stalking, trademarking issues and or anything else the moron can come up with. I make this a promise to Lynn.

    • How about “She who must not be named” in deference to the Harry Potter movie coming out 🙂

    • Rose Colored Glasses says:

Jeepers using the actual words has the advantage of keeping new people finding the blog because even our posts can show up in any google search and boosts the blog in google.

      • Rose Colored Glasses says:

Furthermore it underscores the stupidity of Mags and Zarins attempts to single out Lynn cause we all will be infringing on the non existant exclusive rofl trademark.

        • Nancy says:

Lynn will never back down. That’s what is so funny.
Jill actually believes that she’s going to win.
          Not going to happen.

          • Rose Colored Glasses says:

Irony is with the new site, Lynn’s blog may well exist when the current cast is no longer on the show. How the worm will have turned then.

            • jeepers1941 says:

Geez you guys, I am sorry.
But on a good note I finally found the site for tvtime at TVTIME101.com, so I feel better now, but thanks for the responses.

  39. kellynnola says:

Jill has been swearing a lot, especially this season. She can’t even own up to that? If had said- “I have a bad mouth too at times but we should all try to reel it in,” then I could respect that.

    • TLM says:

So has the Countess… there were too many to keep track of, but she called someone a “diva bitch” and said “what the hell was that?” this season. The old Countess never said anything like that. You know she would have said, “What the heck?” and never said “bitch.” Another example of a castmate trying to be Bethenny, and it doesn’t work. The funny thing is that she acted all prim and proper when talking about hair removal. BFD, it’s hair removal Countess. Get over it.

  40. WindyCityWondering says:

This season’s RHNY production company has changed the dynamic of the show and given us the worst in all the housewives and confirmed what many thought about some of them since the beginning. Jill’s manipulations are transparent as are her feelings towards her castmates. LuAnn is shown as the broke down, pretending wannabee she probably always was (even when she was living the life, I bet she was the brunt of the hibrows jokes). Kelly is shown as a very handled, very medicated, still scary and demented individual being used by Jill. Alex found her voice but never lost herself or established herself without the Simon spin. Ramona will always be the one who sees the best in others and believes in friendship, loyalty and forgiveness – but will never be a pushover. Sonja is watchable but I wish she would come out of her past and look at the future as an opportunity to reinvent herself. Cindy was a joke addition and never really wanted to play the HW game or be accepted as a castmate.
IMO – Bravo can wrap this stinky mess up and deposit it in the trash – new season, new cast – because I really can’t watch these particular women another season.

  41. mich_in_mich says:

Does anyone know when the RHBH season begins? It will be interesting to see if the sophmore season will bring any changes in behavior. I know it was reported earlier that Taylor and her husband split. I’m never happy over news like that and I do feel sorry for their daughter, but truth be told I really dislike that woman. Maybe it was the unhappy marriage that made her lash out, only time will tell.

    • Scorpiosue1102 says:

Aren’t they still filming? I just saw pictures of them in Hawaii a couple of weeks ago. Hmmm….curious timing if you ask me. Looks like Taylor thought she needed a bigger storyline.

  42. Indy501 says:

Yeah, little girl’s 5th birthday next year at Chucky Cheese. Lifestyle change.

    • Nancy says:

Thanks for the laugh. Good one.

    • AZ Girl says:

That was the most bizarre birthday party for a little girl I have ever seen. I do believe Taylor does coke. I thought that all last season and even now with her extreme weight loss even more. If I had a dollar for every lonely rich woman in BH or Brentwood for that matter who has nothing to do but workout, do drugs and shop I would be a rich woman myself. This is why I LOVE Lisa Vanderpump. She runs a business and is real.

      • kellynnola says:

Doesn’t Taylor work? In something like marketing or advertising?

        • Rose Colored Glasses says:

I thought she said that she and Russell were business partners which can mean financial subterfuge allegedly 🙂

      • mich_in_mich says:

I thought the same thing about that birthday party. It was all about Taylor and not the birthday girl :(. I love Lisa Vanderpump as well, the only thing I’m alittle disappointed in was that she had lunch with Jill. Although Lisa scores points for begin able to keep food down while looking across the table at the screw.

        • mich_in_mich says:

          oops i meant shrew lol

        • AZ Girl says:

One of the personality traits that both Lisa V. and Cat share is that they give everyone a chance at first and then they make their own assessment. I don’t know if it is British “thing” or not but I do like that about them both. Yes LIsa had lunch with Jill but have we seen any other “get together’s” since. No. Jill would be tweeting about it. In fact her bestie Gastrieneau.(sp?) has not been in the picture lately at all.

Here was my first post…maybe the HWS who read this blog will inderstand the meaning behind it

    October 13, 2010
” True friendship does not seek usefulness or pleasure to facilitate its survival. Its roots spring from the grounds of trust and understanding, fed by torrents of commitment and compassion. The result is the tree of life itself. If nurtured properly with love, it blooms into paradise. One may humbly eat its fruit and never starve.”

Yesterday on PBS, the discussion was on Japanese cooking. As the food “aficionado” was describing the fish set in front of him, he said that when he stuck his fork into the filleted fish, it moved. Thinking he hit a nerve or something on a newly killed fish, he began again. He then realized the fish was still alive. The fishes eyes were open and staring at him. That is supposed to show the freshness of the fish. This is considered a delicacy.
I have mentioned on this blog that I will never buy a Japanese car or anything else, if I can help it, because of their whaling and dolphin killing. I am now so angry at these savages, that I will no longer try, I will do without.

    • Nancy says:

      klmh,
Where have you been all of my life?
I am in the begging stage of applying to be part
of the medical team on The Sea Shepard. Did you watch
it last Friday? It was a sad one. How did you get interested
in this cause? i’m so happy you started to post again.
Lynn watches The Whale Wars too. 🙂

      • Nancy says:

        beginning not begging

      • Mookies1mom says:

I watched last night and was so sad that they were unable to locate the remainder of the lost crew. That must have been some storm for the Navy to abandon the search. Just really sad.

        • Nancy says:

When I saw the Sea Shepard with all the ice on it and the size of those waves
I actually thought for the first time “Maybe I don’t want to do this.”
I’m sure Paul Watson was sad as he knew these men. At least they died
          doing what they loved.

          • Mookies1mom says:

I was surprised at the build up of ice that was allowed to happen. I thought they would have gone out and broke it up. The size of those waves was really scary! This past winter we got to -15 but I can’t imagine being in the middle of the ocean at that temperature. It would think that it would feel colder on the water. I’m sure it was upsetting to Paul Watson. You could see how it really touched everyone on the ship. Are you still considering doing this?

      • klmh says:

I can’t watch those Nancy. It just makes me so angry, but we donate to whale and sea life causes.
Good luck on your dream to help these magnificent animals. I get so sea sick, its something I could never do.
Thanks too for the welcome note. I am going to try to be more careful about my posts though. I think Im making sense, but I guess not!

        • Nancy says:

          klmh,
Our dream would be both of us doing this together.
George is an Internal Medicine Doc and I’m an ER nurse.
I’m sure we could be a great team. Our dog Emily is 17
now so we can’t do it together right now.
p.s. You did nothing wrong. 🙂

          • Rhetorica says:

Nancy, just another side of your talents. I cant watch the show, sorry. My hubs does tho. Im one of those who raises money and gives for a cause but cant see the suffering. I think l told you l was a candy striper for about two hours & had to quit. (dating myself)

            • Nancy says:

              Rhetorica,
Your husband seems like a great guy. 🙂
Don’t worry about your short Candy Striper career.
I wouldn’t be able to work at the ASCP. Too sad.
              *************************************************************
How is your pain? Try to space out the oxcy’s.
It took me a very long time to feel “normal” again
once I stopped after my knee surgery. Many
patients get hooked on opiates after an orthopedic
surgery. IMHO that drug is destroying a lot of lives
in this country. And causing deaths from overdosing.
              Lecture over now. ha ha

  45. klmh says:

    Sorry, heard this on NPR…

    • Nancy says:

      klmh,
What really gets me fuming is if they (The Japanese)
say they are doing “it” for research where are their studies? The
one that was open for viewing was…”Whales eat fish.” I kid you not.
I’ve done research and it’s all for public viewing.
Show us the money you animals. (and no I’m not talking about the Whales)
Do you know that Whale meat is served in their public schools?
      They make me sick!

      • OneMoreInBoston says:

        huh?

How is this any different than taking lobsters and throwing them alive into a pot of boiling water for a New England dinner?

Lobster rolls are served in schools here- why are the Japanese being singled out as “animals”?

I understand being a vegetarian and also about animal rights, a few Peta videos was all it took for me to swear off of beef and chicken for the rest of my life- but the direction of these comments is making me uncomfortable.

        • klmh says:

Im not a vegetarian in the strict sense. I am against throwing a live lobster into a boiling pot. Sometimes they scream, did you know that? Have you seen experiments by scientists about octopus intelligence?
Here’s something to chew on OMIB:
          http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1256228/Do-fish-feelings-Its-slippery-question-science.html
Kill the fish first! Bring it to the table alive if you need to, but kill it before you torture it!

          • OneMoreInBoston says:

            hello?

it’s horrible ALL OVER THE WORLD.

The Japanese hold no more of a special place in hell than *anyone* who hurts animals, mammals or not.

I object to singling out one group of a certain ethnic heritage for attack.

            • klmh says:

What? That is not what I wrote about. My purpose in writing about the NPR segment is that living fish are being served on a platter! Read the first post.
What I love and want to protect are whales and dolphins. What I am horrified by is the savagery shown by those who serve up a living creature to be further tortured by knife and fork until death. It is being eaten alive! Don’t try to put words in my mouth. I had that done once before a few weeks ago, thank you very much.

        • Rhetorica says:

I am against animal cruelty of any kind & put my money and time where my mouth is. But look at the root word if humanity. Let’s not use words like savages, etc.

          • klmh says:

I used the word savages, and sorry, if a human being treats another living thing like this, they are savages, like it or not. If the shoe fits, so to speak. But you don’t have to use the word if you don’t like it.

            • Rhetorica says:

I hate to belabor this, but words are powerful. Look at the comments about the word cunt on this blog. Describe the behavior; dont condem an entire group by such a vitriol word. Besides, you my be offending real savages:)

            • Rhetorica says:

I hate to belabor this but words are powerful. Look at the discussion on this blog about the word cunt. Speak about the action and condem that but dont use such a vitrolic word addressing a group of people. And to dismiss it by saying, if you dont like, dont say it is like a racist telling another not to use the n word if they dont like it.

              • LynnNChicago says:

The “C U Next Tuesday” word will throw your post into spam every time.

                • MsJxn says:

Lynn, I have alway’s respected this site as a talk about housewives,…now it has gone against all of your rules,…ie,..politics,…it is becoming offensive to many here,…but, most of us don’t speak up,…well I will,….STFU!!! and keep to the subject of THIS board please,…I am sure you all “special interest” groups have your own blogs,..please find and use them.

                  • klmh says:

If you don’t like what I said, don’t read my posts. Many subjects are discussed on this blog. The idea of allowing an living creature to be sliced open and served on a platter while alive was unknown to me until 2 days ago. I had no idea something like this would be accepted anywhere in the world. I put this on this site to inform others about it. No politics involved. This is a cruelty issue.

            • Rhetorica says:

I hate to belabor this but words are powerful. Just look at the discussion about the word cunt on this blog. You can condem actions but shouldn’t label a whole group of people. And saying don’t use it if you don’t like it is like a racist telling someone don’t use the n word if you don’t like it.

              • klmh says:

You obviously didn’t take the time to read my post. I’ve explained myself several times here. I am not commenting on Japans stance on the killing of whales and dolphins. I have taken a stand on not purchasing their products because of this. My viewpoint and no name calling to Japan. Just my stance on their products.
My post was about the savages that allow fish to be filleted and served up to eaten alive. If you feel it is alright to do this to any living thing, well, shame on you. I can and will always condemn any group that is cruel and kills inhumanely.

        • Nancy says:

          OMIB,
The difference between a lobster and a whale is that whales are mammals.
I’m not for killing any animals including lobsters. The Japanese fishermen are (#1) lying about doing “research” – they are doing it for financial gain.

As mammals, whales have certain complex behaviors crustaceans don’t have. Whales are highly intelligent animals and probably have consciousness. They live in families. The young need their mothers. They show emotion.

Do you know how they kill the whales? Watch an episode of the Whale Wars for me.
First they harpoon them. If they don’t bleed to death they drown them. If that doesn’t do it they electrocute them. Do you still have a problem with me calling “them” animals?

          • klmh says:

I think OMIB was speaking to the fish being eaten alive…

            • OneMoreInBoston says:

              NO, I wasn’t.

I was talking about singling out one ethnic group as “savages” when systematic slaughters and abuse against mammals AND fish happen everyday ACROSS THE WORLD and ACROSS ALL ETHNIC LINES>

              • Nancy says:

                OMIB,
As you probably know I’m Canadian. You know the reason why I don’t live in my Country anymore? It’s because they bludgeon the seals to death with a piece of wood with nails in it. They don’t die quickly let me tell you. They too are animals IMHO. I don’t single out one ethnicity to another.

              • klmh says:

A savage is a person that is cruel. Anyone that eats a living creature while still alive is a savage.
My decision to boycott the Japan comes from my passion for whales and dolphins. My horror is that someone can actually allow a living creature to be served on a platter, filleted and stabbed with knife and fork until death takes it. What’s next? With the overpopulation of dogs and cats, are they the next on the agenda? Cat surprise, with eyes open, nerves severed and sliced from stem to stern?
Nope, those that abuse living creatures are savages. Period!

              • Pghemtchick says:

While I disagree with killing whales (and a few other creatures), I agree with OMIB on this one. To single out one ethnicity and call them savages is a bit off when it’s done in several countries. It doesn’t make the slaughter right, but branding one ethnicity is wrong IMO. As I’ve stated before, I have a college friend displaced by the tsunami/meltdown/earthquake. I was pissed at him for eating whale, but that was his option after the rice and oranges ran low. Will I hold it against him? Nope. If he buys it, I will. PS, he’s American for now lol. Pretty sure he’s seeking permanent citizenship there. That’s a different political story tho, I digressed. Where is the outrage at the Danish for the slaughters in the Faroe Islands? Sea Shepard was there last year for the “Grind”, where whales are stabbed several times in the head and mutilated. Pregnant pilots have their unborn calves ripped from them. I won’t go on because it makes me ill. It’s just not one culture. Just happens that the Japanese are the poster children on whaling and dolphin slaughter and capture. If I’m not mistaken Sea Sheperd has had a Japanese female on crew, who hid her face so her family wasn’t hurt. So, she’s Japanese, is she a savage too?

                • OneMoreInBoston says:

                  OMG! THANK YOU!
yes this is exactly what I mean- said so much more eloquently than I did.

                • klmh says:

The savages are those that take a fish, fillet it live, put it on a platter and serve it. They allow the fish to suffer. Cruel, savage, inhumane. This is a so-called delicacy served in Japan.
It is your choice to condone this practice, but I don’t and never will. I love God’s creatures and treat them with respect. I understand eating a fresh fish, but take the time to kill it before you dissect it. Please.
Japan’s policy on slaying sea mammals could be changed with economic pressure. This is the route Im personally taking. It had nothing to do with the word savage. It was not intended to encompass Japan as savages.

                  • Nancy says:

You’re absolutely right. So lets all of us keep our head in the sand
and pretend this torture isn’t happening.
Thank-you for clearing this up for me.

                  • Nancy says:

                    klmh,
Are you beginning to think we are talking a foreign language?
No one takes a stand anymore. It’s so much easier to let
the other guy take care of it. I’m speechless. That God
                    for people like us.

      • klmh says:

With the slaughter of 10’s of thousands of bottle nose and other dolphins for dog food, and the thousands of whales killed annually, with over 50% of them being pregnant!, outrage should be the world’s reaction. There should be a backlash against this country and reducing or hurting their economic position in the world could and would make a difference in their murderous ways.
We are tree huggers and things like this get us riled up pretty badly. Since whaling was resumed by Japan was when we jumped on the “no buy” Japan wagon.
We have koi and they are not dumb. They are our pets and what these horrible people are doing to these creatures is just wrong. I guess the only wish I could have for these chefs that serve animals and fish alive is that they are treated with the same disrespect right before they meet their maker, filleted with eyes open and mouth moving and silent.

        • Nancy says:

          klmh,
The reason I don’t move back to Canada
is because of their seal hunts.

          • klmh says:

God, that is another story! So sad.
Let me know what happens with being on the medical team of the Sea Shepard. How wonderful it would be to be able to do it with your husband.
Appreciate the note above too. I didn’t think I did either, but she took it wrong. I really didn’t understand the stress she was under with twitter because I don’t tweet. Hope she is ok, and it sounds like she is ,with that new grand baby.

  46. ATLmeetsNYC09 says:

Taylor picked a pretty bad time to announce her divorce. Her news isnt going to get much attention considering the news that JLo and Marc are getting divorce.

The divorce announcements on Friday afternoons and evenings are pretty interesting. I suppose they do this so that the news hopefully dies down by Monday morning. However, the 24 hour blogs and websites make this more difficult.

What I find interesting about JLo and Marc is that they didnt even separate. They went from married to (BOOM) divorced. No separation, just the big D.

    • Nancy says:

I’m sure “Taylor” is steaming mad about this. Taylor and her stupid
low life husband are grifters. Nothing more. I hope she gets dropped
from the series. She needs to check herself into the Rehab that they partly
      own in Malibu.

  47. kellynnola says:

I forgot to mention this on here, but 2 weekends ago I was invited to a private tent by some of my interior design clients at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans (where I live). While I was there, I hear a loud, obnoxious voice at the tent across from me that I swear I had heard before. I take a peep in, and it’s NENE LEAKES. I could hear her from a mile away in what sounded like an argument with someone. She was loud, boisterous, and rude.

    • Okie Folkie says:

OH, I’m so sorry Kelly! To have NeNe thrust upon you in such a manner with no prior notice should be against all laws of our land!

I have always, always, always wanted to come visit your fine city. Close as I seem to get is watching “Treme”. I love that show.

      • kellynnola says:

Everyone I know tells me how great Treme is, but right now with a 5 year old I only have time for a few shows. Soon, RH might be switched with Treme if it doesn’t improve.

        • Okie Folkie says:

OMG! If I had to choose, it would be Treme, it sure would. Not even a second thought. Its really good. They hit everything (in my minds eye) that is Nola. The food, the tunes, the beautiful neighborhoods. Everything, IMO.

Plus, this second season Tom Collichio (sp?) Eric Rippert and other famous chefs have made guest spots. I really want to visit.

IF you do find time to catch it, let me know what you think of it, OK? I’d like to now from someone who KNOWS, if its pretty close to what they are showing.
It seems like they are spot on.
After the storm, we had at least 3 families relocated from Nola, just in my tiny lil neighborhood. So sad, still sad.

Still so sorry you hadda endure that loud mouth giant! 😉

  48. Error404 says:

Ok, confession time. I took Simon’s joke too literally and though he was dissing lulu by calling her common irsh working class. Alex was banging about her oil fields and “countess with the o moved to the front” just sounded like Luann O’Cuntless to me. Sometimes I’m too literal.

    • BessiB says:

I took it about the same way since he said ‘Move” not Remove” I’m not that bent out of shape at all over it. It’s a lame high-school kid’s joke

  49. smompy says:

What I’m about t write is in no way a defense of LuAnn or her parenting skills…because I frankly haven’t seen her demonstrate any…but just for the sake of accuracy, Victoria’s Sweet Sixteen party was not unchaperoned or unsupervised. There were adults there, including but not necessarily limited to LuAnn’s sibling(s) and Victoria’s grandmother. LuAnn’s real reasons for leaving the party notwithstanding, those teens were not abandoned by the adults, and since I’ve heard no reports to the contrary, I’ll assume they did not go wild or get into any drug-fueled sex orgies.

Also, even overlooking the fact that it wasn’t Victoria’s decision to be thrust into the spotlight and open her life up to public scrutiny (nor was it Avery’s decision for that matter), I still can’t see a reason to keep negatively comparing Avery with Victoria. Ramona does seem to be a more involved parent than LuAnn, from what we see on the show, that is, but in all honesty, we don’t know much about these kids’ lives at all. Victoria seems to be more of a “party girl” and Avery seems to be more of a “good girl.” Then again, appearances can be deceiving. Despite what these kids’ brief appearances on Bravo and various “news” reports may seem to suggest, we may not have a totally accurate picture. I know that when I was that age, I used to act like Perfect Avery while my parents were around and then turn into Wild-Ass Victoria as soon as they were out of sight. It may not be public knowledge now, but who’s to say that Avery and her friends have never experimented with drugs or snuck out of the house too? And even if Avery were a perfect angel who always behaves herself while Victoria has some bad habits, I still dunno how adults can get any joy out of trashing a teenage girl like that. Calling a teen whom one has never even met “dirty” or’ trashy” or whatever? IDK, it somehow feels like watching schadenfreude in action. Not only is Victoria still a kid, but she also has self-involved LuAnn for a mother and a philandering, absent clown for a father. To each his own, of course, but personally, I say give the poor girl a break! I’m sure her life is difficult enough without the added benefit of knowing lots of people across the interwebs are calling her ugly names and saying she doesn’t measure up to this image of the perfect teen, as portrayed by Avery Singer. And if Avery is actually as nice as she seems to be, I bet she doesn’t appreciate being used in any way to hurt or tear down Victoria. From what I’ve seen, the two girls appear to actually like each other.

I realize this probably sounds incredibly preachy. Sorry! Carry on:)

    • mich_in_mich says:

I don’t think you came off as preachy. I agree with all your comments.

    • Rhetorica says:

smompy, nicely said. Labeling teens as good, bad, trashy, nice is short sighted. They can take on each of those traits in a mannet of hours:)

    • OneMoreInBoston says:

      Nope sorry.

No breaks for hurling racial epithets while high and then giggling about it on film. Avery’s not doing it, I didn’t do it and I’m sure any well raised well adjusted teenager is not nor will do it.

Luanne raised a filthy dirty little pig who ought to be ashamed or herself.

Rather than trying to cover it up, or sweep it under the rug- she should have put Victoria in a PSA to apologize.

      • Rhetorica says:

OMIB, I agree 100% with you but I don’t think we should call her names here either. Make sense?

        • Nancy says:

          What does mannet mean?
Did you get my reply to you from yesterday?

          • Rhetorica says:

Typo! matter of hours yes! I replied above to two of your posts. We are here we are here we are here! Horticultural hears a who reference.

        • OneMoreInBoston says:

Was she called names? I didn’t see that.

I know I’ve seen Ashley form RHONJ called Ass-ley or PotHolderHead or simply The Hat- but I didn’t see any name calling to Victoria.

If she was called names, ITA, she *is* underage and I don’t think it’s right to call a kid, no matter how vile their behavior, names.

Someone said she looked trashy- and that’s their opinion. If her mother wasn’t parading her on a reality show, she’d be hands off to all of us.

          • klmh says:

            Your post above:
“Luanne raised a filthy dirty little pig who ought to be ashamed or herself.” Sorry OMIB, I love ya, but this is funny.
            I love our little discussions…

            • Nancy says:

              klmh,
Thank-you. I thought I was going to have to

            • OneMoreInBoston says:

              oh…I get it!

              *I* shouldn’t call her names!

okay, you’re absolutely right-sorry I’m about as subtle as a Mac truck and when someone so nicely reprimands me it goes right over my head.

That’s me and klmh get along- she doesn’t pussyfoot around me.

          • floridagirl88 says:

And we all wished she would just brush her hair!

      • smompy says:

Oh, please don’t be sorry! Your opinion is as valid as mine. BUT, I will point out that these so called racial epithets are used by a lot of “musicians” and celebrities today, without apology, and repeated by a hell of a lot of kids. If you type the particular phrase (without bleeping anything) into google video’s search, it will return pages and pages and pages of examples of music videos containing that exact phrase and worse. I also didn’t use that language as a kid, but when I was a kid things were quite different. Hip Hop and gangsta rap, etc. have affected American culture and speech. Whether we like it or no, that’s a fact of life. So Victoria’s use of that phrase doesn’t automatically make her some sort of klansman, and it doesn’t even mean she’s not well raised or well adjusted. Lots of kids do use that sort of language and mean nothing by it. And how could you possibly know that Avery has never done the same thing? Never mind, I’ma answer that myself. You can’t. Just because you didn’t see Avery doing something means she never did that thing? Nobody can really know that except for Avery herself…or possibly her friends.

I would say that LuAnn herself is a dirty pig and I’ve said before that I wish LuAnn had used that situation in a positive way instead of acting like it never happened, but I myself feel that it’s not very mature or classy or decent to attack a young girl with vicious words like that, especially when we don’t really know the kid. To me that’s no better than people calling Teresa’s kids horrible, ugly names. I HATE Teresa, but doing something like that to her kids is still way too low for me!

i realize this is a very late reply but i do want to go on record as saying it’s completely different for someone of that race to use the “n” word and take it for themselves, however, it is OFF LIMITS and should be to anyone and everyone else (and that includes 16 year old white girls). that is one word that is hurtful beyond words. any word that it used against a minority or a race of any kind in a derogatory way should NEVER be used by outsiders. period. end of story. and yes, i hate the “C” word also but it’s simply not in the same category as what i stated above. doesn’t mean it should be used however, or at least used and liked.

    • Nancy says:

I like Victoria. She just needs a little more direction in life.
She will find her way. It’s hard growing up with just one parent.
      They both will do well.

      • FLG says:

Hopefully Victoria will find a school that suits her. It has been reported that she has allegedly “quietly” withdrawn from not one but TWO rather exclusive private schools. The first was Miss Porter’s school, which could be well understood as I believe that occurred around the time of her parents separation and divorce. The second was from the Ross School in the Hamptons. There are conflicting reports that I have seen as to whether or not it was directly connected to the YouTube video incident which Ramona tweeted to Countess Let’s Make a Talkie Video High Horse. (deny, deny, deny) I believe Ramona intended to DM that tweet to LuAnn Can’t Sing High Horse, but made the same mistake as the congressman with the fitting last name and accidentally made it a public tweet. I don’t see Ramona as the type of woman who would willfully use a co-worker’s child as a weapon. I do think she would quite rightfully want to bring that incident to the attention of the child’s mother, as well she should. Note to self: When contacting any parent regarding possible bad behavior of that parent’s child, do it via direct person to person phone call, private text, snail mail, email or facsimile! Do NOT use social media. 8)

        • BessiB says:

I said back when I saw the video that if I had received a tweet like that, I would send it directly to her mama. So a have always believed that doing it publicly was probably an accident, and then Ramona said that it was.

          Noted.

    • Error404 says:

I think the reason why bravo compares Avery and Victoria so much, and I do believe the comparison is a big reoccuring storyline over the years and not just something we here made up, is because the girls are very different and really mini reflections of their mothers. Me and silex seem to be the only people who remember that the foundation of this show is manhattan moms.

Lulu took the short route to nursing school. Ramona went to college. Lulu modeled a bit, did some Italian tv, partied around Europe. Ramona obviously loves to party too, but also worked hard in one field and achieved the independence she craved. Lulu married the good life she craved. Even on the show, lulu ventures are more shallow and short lived than Ramona’s who could easily be second right behind bethenny as hw who made the most of their 15 minutes.

Avery enjoys dance and tennis, etc.. But seems very serious and book minded. Even ramona’s attempts to push her toward acting or modeling were rebuffed. Victoria seems to enjoy fashion and design, which her mom pushes her toward. Although Victoria also seems very strong minded, we never see her directly contradict her mom or show any signs of independence on camera.

      • happygal says:

        Great post- ITA

        • vilzvet says:

As of recently and maybe still to this date Victoria was also very interested in riding. It’s a pasttime that requires alot of dedication and time so hopefully she is still involved. She might have had to stop if only for it’s high expense and maybe her father is not bankrolling their former lifestyle and they’ve had to downgrade their hobbies.

        • BessiB says:

          Me, too.

One of the most CLASSIC scenes: LuLu counseling Victoria and her friends on table manners with Victoria slouched there chewing with there mouth wide open. (It just have been the first time in her life Victoria was hearing it.)

Also, I don’t know Smompy gets her information that the grandparents and aunts were in charge of chaperoning. That party and that kid is the parent’s responsibility. So if it were true, then that really does not change the situation: Luann is still punting her parental roll to someone else. If something would have happened to on of those kids, the judge is not likely to accept the answer, “Well, when I left, everything was fine, and my mother was there.”.

Anyone else note that after the dougie lesson last week, that the last thing you hear is Avery saying something like: thanks so much it was really fun? (Also consistent with the theme)

hi everyone just a few comments, first Bethenny and Denis Leary love how Bethenny talked about cooking therefore working for Dennis, she’s not pretending she’s to the manor born just cause she has more money then all of them now. Also spent some time in Washington DC recently, went to the Newseum, excellent history of the role of news reporting in our country, we are free to say what we want about our nations leaders good or bad yet Jill thinks she is too good for criticism. People need to realize if they put themselves in the public eye they better have a thick skin.

  51. zanne says:

This may be a preachy article directed at our “dear” Jill. I always have the TV on when I am on the web. This afternoon I was on msnbc and a story caught my interest because it was from Oklahoma (Live there now) Anyway it was about a preacher and his family. Their house was broken into and the father and mother were killed leaving the two kids with two bullets in each of them. They manage to get help. The story goes on about their lives and mostly the son’s. After several tries at finding his place in life he ends us in the Oklahoma Senate and in his second year gets a victims rights bill passed into law. The first one in the nation for the victims of crime. He then faces the man that killed his parents and forgives him. He figures 3 terms is enough for the senates. Ends up in California going to writing for movies school (whatever that is called ) He writes the movie of his life and produces it. It is now on DVD and I just ordered it. Name is Heaven’s Rain . If I knew how to do it and if she would actually read it I would send it to Jill because I can’t think of another person this should relate to than Jill Forgiveness is what she is lacking. Ok I’m finished. Hoped I didn’t bore you but just had to discuss it with someone who I felt my need for Jill to relate to the story,

    • sony4ou says:

I am from Oklahoma also, where are you? I am in Claremore

    • Error404 says:

The trouble with Jill is she’s a narcisit and will hold grudges for years for anyone who dares to slight her, but always shruggs off her own faults as ” oh well, nobody’s perfect”.

You are all my super-human heros!

Anyway, I have always liked Ramona. The only way she’s been really crazy in my eyes, is crazy like a fox. Out of the whole bunch of them, she was the only accomplished and established businesswoman to begin with, and now, besides Bethenny, she’s the only one of the group who has used her new-found fame to grow her own actual enterprise. She’s not pitching bullshit like owl necklaces (lawsuit), stupid books, tacky girdles, 80s Madonna rip-off videos, etc. Ramona is taking her considerable prior experience and current exposure, and selling viable and marketable products. I say, more power to her!

Plus, I also think she’s Turtle Time kind of fun.

    Hey Ramona, you’re OK!

I don’t. This is Jill we are talking about.
She probably pays her in shirts, worn shoes and used underwear.

          • OneMoreInBoston says:

No I don’t. I think Mags is acting like Jill’s pitbull to get a reputation as a good assistant and then move onto a bigger better deal.

Have you ever heard of an assistant (!) taking on this type of a role? She’s attempting to shut down a blog that is critical of her employer. This is a job for an attorney or even a manager- but a personal assistant? While misdirected, I admire her chutzpah.

            Mags has balls.

She’s going way above the call of duty and I hope she can move on to more lucrative and productive employment in the *very* near future..

            • shadowsmom says:

Well, it looks like Danielle Staub could use a good assistant or perhaps Speidi? Two for the price of one. Otherwise, I can’t imagine any real celebrity finding her skills what they are looking for.

When Jill Zarin fades away like the rest of the fauxlebrities Maggie will be looking for a new job unless her skill set includes wiping up tears and installing a rubber room for Jill’s temper tantrums when she wakes up and realizes no one really cares or likes her and few wants to deal with her except those that Bobby pays to pretend they do.

  55. Error404 says:

Poor Cynthia, everything she does on this show seems to backfire badly.

She signed up supposedly to promote her muff mowing shops going national, then just dropped the ball and dwelled on petty bickering for weeks on end. I really think the whole breakfast conference call was a last ditch desperate effort to get the word out. She mumbled something incoherent about the call being important because it was about branching out in Atlanta and la. Apparently, bravo has 0 interest in following this story line so she has to squeeze it in where she can. Backfire. Sonja wouldn’t give her even a 5 second shout out. Sonja gives strangers she meets at the gym more time to shill their business than Cindy, who she shut down in seconds and showed up as pushy rude and creeepy. Do not mess with the blondes or accuse them of hanger theft, they will cut a bitch. LoL

    • OneMoreInBoston says:

      hilar-i-ous.

It’s true too, isn’t it? It all went downhill after Hangar-gate.

      • Error404 says:

I wish you knew more about them or could dish!

I still suspect Cindy is to barely there as Jill is to zarin fabrics.

Zarins will probably always be there supplying discount fabric in bulk to chains, but all of jill’s effort to glam the place up seem to fail miserably.

Depilatory places will probably be around for some time, but all of Cindys focus on vajazeling etc… Just seem to make a mockery of the whole thing IMO.

        • Nancy says:

          error,
          Totally OT…
Who do you think should have won the gold in Nagano,
          Michelle or Tara?

          • lillybee says:

Michelle, but I probably just me. Tara could do the hard jumps but with very little air. If I remember correctly, her edge work wasn’t that good. But the judges loved her.
Michelle was a more musical skater. Her spirals were wonderful.

            • Nancy says:

              lillybe,
You could be a skating judge. The reason Tara’s jumps don’t
“get air” is because she was a roller skater before she changed to
ice. Roller skates don’t have picks so they jump out instead of up.
Tara was also a lot younger and smaller than Michelle so she had an
advantage. It’s simple physics. That’s why they changed the age limit
              to 16 years.
IMHO Michelle is/was in a different league all of her own. 🙂

          • Error404 says:

In error world, Kwan won both Nagano and slc. I don’t know why people keep saying differently. I know what I saw, and I saw her win both times. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

        • OneMoreInBoston says:

Cindy actually is a pioneer- I know it doesn’t seem like it, but the whole MedSpa business is very dry and well, medical. She made it fun and sexy and cool- she went in a way different direction with it.

Even before RHONY I had heard of Cindy and of course Completely Bare- it is an industry standard. I have a client who is a plastic surgeon in SoHo who’s little MedSpa was not doing too well. She brought me in to make it more spa like and more like “Completely Bare and places like that”

This whole industry is filled with Cindy’s. They start off slightly altruistic- just making ladies feel good about themselves right?

And then the mega $ hits, and they think it’s because of them and their skill set but really? It’s the industry. They’re all self absorbed MANIACS and they all have eating disorders. Because they work around women all day they lapse into this unprofessional sort of girlishness- like telling Sonja to be quiet- Cindy really expected her to be alright with it.

I know a lot of Cindys. Crap. I may be a Cindy.

          • happygal says:

Not to sound dumb… but what is the difference of a “medspa” and a regular spa- where facials and waxing are done- i have been to Burke Williams and it was lovely-

            • OneMoreInBoston says:

MedSpa regulations differ from state to state but typically require physcian oversite as they use lasers for laser hair removal and skin rejuvenation , and offer injectibles like Botox, Restalyn etc.

Some are straight up medical and you can’t get any other services but medical services and some blur the lines between Medical and spa- offering manis, pedis, waxing, and as with Cindy: Va-jazzling.

          • smompy says:

Nope, you couldn’t be a Cindy. Cindy has neither a personality nor a sense of humor. I don’t know whether it was Richard Lawson or Brian Moylan who came up with it, but when I first Cindy described as a zombie, I thought, “THAT’S IT!” There’s just nothing behind those cold dead eyes of hers.

        • BessiB says:

Oh, wow, I’m going to disagree with Error: No Jill will probably not always be supplying discount fabrics. I don’t think she ever really was.

She may have shown up at the store to boss people around, and showed up there for the cameras ( recall that on that occasion she said “see, I really do work”. which means that everyone else knew that she really didn’t). All the glam up came to get something started for the show, but unfortunately they are not showing the vacant space now. And they are not showing jill upstairs bossing or ‘making suggestions” – my guess is because Brad is no longer there and Bobby’s son does not have time for her, given that he really does supply discount fabric in bulk to chains.

Ok, now back to agreeing: You have touched on the problem with the vajazeling thing. It is a mockery, people probably do it as a goof, and it definitely is a fad which will fake sooner rather than later.

    • Kansas Girl says:

She should have just told Sonja enthusiastically about her business moves, instead of taking a call. And where the heck did the assistant come from? Did she come with Cindy? Let herself in later? That was odd. If Cindy showed up with the assistant in tow, how would she explain that?

    • kdf says:

I know I’ve missed it – what is the deal between Cat and LuMan? Was it on a WWHL episode? Because I live overseas, I can only get RHONY through Apple TV and WWHL isn’t an option. If we know for sure that Cat would take on the Brunettes, I’m all for her showing up, but I sure would hate it if she turned on the blonds – although Ramona and Sonja could probably stand up for themselves.

      • Nancy says:

        kdf,
Cat cannot stand LuAnn. She thinks she’s two faced, rude, a sh*t disturber

the Royal Wedding week and it was WWll. I LOVED it. We are praying that
she joins the NY Housewives as she will not tolerate Jill, LuAnn, Cindy and Kelly

        Where do you live?

        • kdf says:

Thanks, Nancy. I would LOVE to see Cat on this show tormenting the others!

I live in Northern Japan but am hesitant to say so since there is some stuff going on here about the Japanese and whale hunting. Let me just say that I don’t eat whale or dolphin and if I could get to Southern Japan in September to protest the dolphin catches and slaughter, I would do it.

My issue with the Whales is that the fishermen are killing the Whales for profit
not for research. Secondly the way in which they are killed is unspeakable

I just putting this out again here re: Jill.
I have really seen a difference since last season or the last 3 seasons on Jill’s social life during the summer in the Hamptons. I know I have brought this up before but I think it is telling. Jill’s tweets as Lynn brought up are daily and about her every move and who she is with.

Summer’s before we would hear about Jill’s get together’s with the other housewives in Hamptons at all the charity events that take place i.e. LuMann, Ramona, Kelly and Sonja. They kind of ran in the same circles as everyone else. One specific “Bestie” was the Gastrineau’s. (Marc’s exwife and daughters).
O.K. not a peep about them this summer. She tweeted them when she was heading to Vegas and LA. Still we did not see if they got together.
Latest Hampton invite. Maybe a dinner with Kelly and her kids????? WTF?
Jill can’t even get a play date for Ginger with Paris Hilton’s dog. Kathy Hilton is not responding to Jill at all.

As Quincy said before Titanic ship “Jill” is going down. She tweets that she is England with Robbie Williams? Where did that come from? I am not even familiar with Robbie Williams. Seriously. I listen to Lady Gaga, Lynkin Park etc.

No one in the Hamptons is having anything to do with her. She is tweeting “MOVIE NIGHT” at the Beach Club? Tweeting “Lisa with dog” on a boat????

Hey Jill is lonely and it shows. She is being shunned by everyone. Shunned so badly she had to go over the “pond” to get relevant.

I know IMHO but she really has been demoted. B-listed if she is lucky.

    • TLM says:

Kelly tweets about the most mundane, stupid things on earth that no one in their right mind would care about. It sounds like Jill is following her lead, although that’s weird since Jill herself last year said no one could understand Kelly’s tweets. I fully expect the next one to be “Broke a nail? Use clippings 2 decorate greeting cards! #diykelly”.

      • Nancy says:

or that she is going to glue them to her baby rocking chair.

      • AF says:

LOL! It’s so true – Kelly *would* come up with something stupid like that and she’d be soooooooo proud of herself for coming up with the idea. She’s such a hot mess.

      • JillhAter says:

        LOL!!! her and those hashtags!!!

AZ Girl, i think you are right – She first was dropping names and parties all over the place…. now, not so much. Maybe all of these “with it ” people are not liking the Jill she has become and just are not that into her…. hahahahaha

    • Need a Hobby says:

I remember reading a blog by a NY social scene reporter a year or more ago. At first he seemed to be IIRC somewhat supportive of Zarin and her legit “social” connections, but as time went on he was more critical of her. Her behavior on and off the show apparently was having an impact on her social standing. IIRC he was suggesting that she was turning into a “goat rodeo” (my interpretation) and whatever status she had in NY society was greatly reduced as a result. So Jill’s left to hang with the Kellys and other D listers.

      • OneMoreInBoston says:

For everything Jill tries to do, she achieves the opposite affect.

It’s almost like Jill needs to pull a George Costanza Opposite Day.

For the rest of her life.

        • Need a Hobby says:

Exactly! I posted a big ass post above, but that’s the point: she manages, by her own behavior, to achieve the opposite of what she wants.

    • BessiB says:

Kathy Hilton would not be involved with her own sister in connection with Kim’s Bravo activities, but Jill thinks that Kathy will hop on board with connecting up with another Bravolebrity to give Jill street cred?

THIS is why some people find Jill’s tweets so fucking annoying.

    • Cheri says:

If you go back and read the comments made to simon’s blog on the time line this past week you will see a post from Gemini who according to her post is someone in the know in NYC and she said that Jill has been left off of a few high placed invitations and the doors are slowly closing on her as the true socialites are tiring of her ways (or something similar to that) I wish she had said alot more or would come here. I would guess that what she said is true and that’s what us happening in her fabulous circle of friends. I think her post was also the one that made mention of wishing lulu really knew what was being said behind her back.

  60. TLM says:

One minor point I meant to make earlier as a correction to the blog – Lynn, I don’t think they dumped Jennifer Gilbert before the end of the season. Wasn’t the finale episode Ramona’s vow renewal ceremony? Gilbert was there, and made that remark about “Opinions are like a********…everyone’s got one” and criticized the party planner for having liquor there too early or something.

    • Nancy says:

She was a rather strange one IMHO.
I did love when she went into her own pantry
to fish out Jill and Kelly though.

      • Rose Colored Glasses says:

Lol, probably why she wasn’t asked back since her completely normal reactions aren’t the stuff of rhony. It was like breaking the fourth wall and suggesting that high drama would not normally take place in the pantry lol! Manufactured crisis among the canned goods while a guest at a party?

    • BessiB says:

I think in essence they did dump Jennifer. She was suppose to be introduced mid-season as a new housewife – like Sonja. Jennifer, in an interview, talked about how much filming they did, but speculated that she just was not exciting enough.

  64. TLM says:

Questions seem to continue on the blog about copyright vs. trademark/servicemark vs. right to publicity vs. defamation. These are all separate causes of action.

Defamation: From lectlaw.com: “An act of communication that causes someone to be shamed, ridiculed, held in contempt, lowered in the estimation of the community, or to lose employment status or earnings or otherwise suffer a damaged reputation.” It gets more specific than that, but I don’t want to turn this into a law school textbook. Defamation has two interesting features: If you can prove the truth of your statement against the person, it’s a complete defense to defamation. It is also legally impossible to defame a person who is deceased, even if you tell lies about them.

Some were also mentioning a right to publicity, which is also a distinct claim from copyright.

A copyright pertains to AUTHORSHIP of a “work” – something the copyright holder himself or herself created.

A right to publicity concerns the value of one’s name (and a name is not the same as a trademark), which represents a person and their identity, which could be misappropriated by others for financial gain.

Here’s a quick example that should show the distinctions between these different interests.

Let’s say I use an Associated Press photo of Snooki from the show Jersey Shore, and put the photo on tee-shirts with the phrase “Jersey Shore” on it to sell on the boardwalk, all without permission.

If MTV has trademarked (or servicemarked) “Jersey Shore” as a TV show title, I have infringed MTV’s TRADEMARK, and they can sue me for trademark infringement.
I have infringed Associated Press’ COPYRIGHT because I’ve used the photo they created, and they can sue me for copyright infringement.
And Snooki also could have a claim against me for the RIGHT TO PUBLICITY, since I’m using her name for financial gain, and she clearly is the figure I’m referring to on the shirt. And she can sue me for misappropriating her image.

    I hope this is helpful.

    • Rose Colored Glasses says:

On defamation, an exception is generally made for humor (even unfair) when aimed at a public personality, I believe. It is so smart for public folks to have an ability to laugh at themselves. Lynn’s blog is funny because JZ’s grandiosity is ridiculous. Even the title IHJZ is funny because it exaggerates the significance of JZ. In refusing to take BF’s sage advice to get a hobby JZ left open the opportunity for many here to have a very fun and funny outlet for commenting ( often has nothing to do with JZ.) Fortunately we know not to take ourselves or her too seriously. As to TLM’s post well done. Right to publicity is vital. Mostly what is happening here is humor and the rest is the kind of free speech that is so clearly protected. Consider carefully Jill minions do you really not understand? Every post that I or anyone else puts here could begin with IHJZ which is completely within our rights and would skyrocket on Google. Consider also that your most recent volley at this blog (Bobby mentioning a tag that when Googled has led many people to post positive response) backfired as has WordPress shutdown. Jill, when the emperor had no clothes the innocent children laughed.

This recipe was included in Jill’s “exclusive” newsletter. Though she credited the magazine, I don’t see anywhere that that it was copied and published with permission:

Here is a great recipe for a Tropical Cucumber Salad from Eating Well Magazine

        Ingredients

        3-5 teaspoons fish sauce

1 teaspoon freshly grated lime zest, plus more for garnish

        2 tablespoons lime juice

        1 tablespoon canola oil

        2 teaspoons light brown sugar

        1 teaspoon rice vinegar

        1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper

1 medium English cucumber, cut into 3/4-inch dice

1 avocado, cut into 3/4-inch dice

1 mango, cut into 3/4-inch dice

        1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Makes 4 services, about 1 cup each

        Preparation

Whisk fish sauce to taste, lime zest, lime juice, oil, brown sugar, vinegar and crushed red pepper in a large bowl until combined. Add cucumber, avocado, mango and cilantro; gently toss to coat. Serve garnished with lime zest, if desired.

Whatever happened the very important Creaky Joints charity Jill supported? Is it defunct or has Jill stopped being involved did they kick her out… just wondering about Jill’s bottomless capacity yp plug her “enterprises” and her pay-to-plug-on-twitter but what charities is she hands on with now?

      • Adgirl says:

Hey Nancy, We spent the day walking in SF. Up Market to Castro then across Divisadero then to North Beach where we hung out at Vesuvios (Jack Kerouac ‘s fav bar). We ended up at Schroeder’s in the financial district for a plate of German potatoes. It was a lot of fun – and a lot of walking!

        • MKValle says:

That definitely was a lot of walking!

          • Nancy says:

            Adgirl,
Did you have fun in San Fran? We live pretty close to the Castro district.
I love North Beach. I would live there if they had more parking. When Emily (pug)
was younger the surgeon I worked with would beg me to take Emily so he could
take her to North Beach because she was a “Babe magnet”. I of course said NO.

Ok, after that law lecture I’m ready to return to the far more fun topic of SHOPPING (and I’m sure Simon’s ears have pricked up as soon as I wrote that, even though I’m writing on a blog and he’s 2 hours away. LOL.)

I picked up a couple of pairs of aviator-style sunglasses today at Fashion Bug, and with a discount they came to about $10 each. I have to say, I don’t get why people would spend $100-$400 on sunglasses, at least in this style. There are styles that are so distinctive that I admit I would spend $450 on if I had Oprah money or Bethenny money, but as far as I can tell, aviators are aviators. I’m pretty picky and I have to say that I’ve looked at Oakley, Ray-Ban and other premium brands in aviators, and I fail to see enough of a difference to justify it, especially since it’s a 70s retro revival and a fad that may be gone next year. The last time I saw lots of people wearing aviators, CHiPs was still on the air and The Pina Colada Song was in the Top Ten.

The only thing I worry about is that the UV protection may not be 100% as stated on the earpiece. These cheap sunglasses are all made in China, but to be fair, so are a lot of the more expensive ones. Thoughts?

    • Adgirl says:

I adore aviators! I’m going to find a Fashion Bug here. Thanks for the heads up, I did buy my daughter a pair of classic Ray bans for her birthday. She wears them every day and they are very cute. $100 dollars and she feels special.

      • TLM says:

Most of the FB (that’s Fashion Bug, not facebook, LOL) glasses are way too embellished for me; most have little sparkly crystals or some type of design on the earpieces, but I liked these because they were plain. I got one pair with white earpieces and one with black.

My thing with sunglasses is that they’re so easy to put down and forget about, and I would have a heart attack if I lost a pair of glasses that were over $25, let alone over $100 or $200. I do wear my sunglasses year-round, which would justify spending more, but I’m too neurotic about it. I actually have a pair that cost me $25 but are worth a lot more, and I stopped wearing them because I’m constantly obsessing over where my sunglasses are when I have them with me. So I thought it would be good to get a couple of cheap pairs that were comfortable. Oh, hell, I’m sure I’ll obsess over these too, since it’s just hard for me to find both a style I like and one that’s comfortable. So on the basis that it’s hard for me to find replacements, I obsess over even $10 glasses. LOL.

  73. Mommy Smurf says:

I commented on Bravo….I’m sure it will not be posted…..anyway, someone commented on Ramona having Turtle Time, which in their opinion is worse than a “classy” video, and could not understand Avery being embarrassed about the video and Ramona choosing Avery’s feelings over the video. When on the other hand they stated Ramona was not worried about Avery’s feelings during “turtle time” and such…..basically calling her a hypocrite. (Im on pain meds so bear with me…..cuz in my head this comment makes sense!). So, I commented that I’m sure Avery (just like EVERY teen) is always embarrassed by Ramona, but I believe the Ramona actually went to Avery and flat out asked her if she should do the video and Avery said it would embarrass her….well the blogs are going crazy about how that could embarrass Avery with all of the other antics Ramona has been invovled in. Well, I blogged on Bravo that I believe the route of the embarrassment stems from the fact that the song is beyond cheesy with middle aged women dancing around like idiots COUPLED with the complete lack of self awareness that these women display…..they seem to think they are actually Klassy and Kool! Now think of how you were when you were Avery’s age…..would you DIE if your middle aged mom was in a music video “thinking” she looks cool…..when actually it is so embarrassing to watch that you can’t make it all the way through (i was too damn embarrassed that I honestly have only seen a few seconds). Now imagine Avery’s friends asking her about it…..how.freaking.embarrassing. Okay, lets picture Avery’s haters….goodness gracious she will be tortured. So, let me sum up the novel I just wrote, I think she was mortified at the thought of her Mom dancing around in a cheesy video while trying to act cool……like the moronic brunettes! ******disclaimer******** I was under the influence of Percocet (kidney stones) when writing this so be nice…..cuz like I said, in my head it made perfect sense.

    • Cusi77 says:

Mommy Smurf_Take care, sweetie… that must be really painful! I believe you you are taking painkillers but your comment makes A LOT of sense! Every teenager feels embarrassment when we, as a mothers do practically EVERYTHING, “Turtle time” is one of my favourite moments of the women having fun! It has become in our vocabulary like “Having a good time”. Even without knowing that they were going to be walking and dancing crazy, Ramona had the example of Lulu with 6 men in bed… what was next? What ever! Lulu has been so mean to Ramona the entire Season… what to bother in appearing in her video with her flugly singing? Morocco and late for dinner, this is not the Plaza Hotel… hell! No, way! I applaud Ramona for saying NO!

      • smompy says:

Makes perfect sense in my head too. I was sort of assuming Ramona was just using Avery as an excuse, but you’re probably right that she went and asked her specifically if she should do the video and Avery probably said Heck NO. And that gave Ramona an honest way to stay out of it: “my daughter did in fact ask me not to.” I can’t imagine any 16 year old girl telling her mother to do something like that video, unless of course if she wanted her mother to make a total ass of herself. Therefore I do like to imagine Noel & Victoria saying to LuAnn, “Mommy, you sing so beautifully, you should really share your gift with the world every chance you get” and then laughing their butts off when they watch her pathetic videos. ‘Cause I mean, LuAnn has probably embarrassed them so much already that they’re almost immune to it now and would rather just laugh at their mother’s idiocy along with the rest of us. That’s how I like to imagine it anyway.

      • Mommy Smurf says:

Thanks so much! Yes, I just have to wait it out until they pass….ouchie! I have had them before so I know the drill! Thanks for your well wishes!

    • Mookies1mom says:

You made perfect sense. I think all teenagers get to a point that the way their mother breathes is embarrassing. But why would Avery want a her mom in a video making a fool out of herself like the brunettes did?!?! I know I wouldn’t, if my mother were still alive.

Hope you feel better! The only time Mookie’s dad asked to go to the doctor was when he had kidney stones. Neither of us knew what was going on with him and he asked me to call 911 because it was the middle of the night. Are you going to try to pass them or have some other type of treatment? Which ever way, I hope you feel better soon!

Besides, working for WSL would be pretty much a dream job for a smart young thing, wouldn’t it? Heck, if Maggie doesn’t want it, I’ll take the job. (I’m not so young and I’m bad at math. That wouldn’t be a problem would it? LOL 😀 )

I caught Jill stalking me in San Francisco last week.
She must have a lot of frequent flyer points she needs to use up.
        Lucky us. 🙂

All I will ask is that whenever it is decided that a switch is happening to a new site (TV Time) or whereever, a link is provided so I can find you all. I had a hell of a time finding the blog over there and am glad to see we are here at the moment! Keep the technically challenged in your hearts and take us with you, please!

    • Mookies1mom says:

We wouldn’t dare think of leaving the Duchess behind!

I just finished re-reading the comments top to bottom and apparently I missed things that were posted after I went past. Sigh. Maybe this time it will go faster.

      Nite, TDD!

Well, I have to go deal with whatever Mookie is crying about now! (Poor guy is very sensitive.) Chat with you all tomorrow! Have a good night/morning everyone!

  80. FLG says:

Just a quick update. We’re still packing and so far so good. Hubs got a lot done today. He’s handling all the heavy stuff. I’ve been working the phones regarding utilities, coordinating, etc. We will be happy when we get to the new place. Why is it, when one is exhausted, it is so hard to sleep? I hope all is well with you!
I really enjoyed talking to Carly and Lynn Thursday evening. I miss spending time laughing with all of you! Just a few more weeks and things should be back to normal for us! What ever “normal” is….
I love the idea of a get together!
WSL, nice to read posts from you again. I was lurking when you were posting before and always enjoyed your take on things!
Sweet Dreams and a happy rest of the weekend!

    • Adgirl says:

FLG I’m excited about your move (by proxy). I love the adventure of reloocating. You and hubs sound like a perfect pair. Does hubs call you hubs too? So cute!

    • Nancy says:

      FLG,
Isn’t it exciting about California schools teaching homosexuality history.
It’s about time. Come back soon. 🙂

    • BessiB says:

How ‘full circle”. Back on the Apprentice days, Bethenny did say she aspired to be a heath-Martha-Stewart.

  81. Adgirl says:

    Jill’s Bravo blog (an excerpt):
“On tonight’s episode you see me having a brain scan. I was actually surprised to find out that my memory is above average. In hindsight, I guess I do have a pretty good memory. ”

An elephant never forgets. Wait. That is really mean. Elephants are cool.

  82. LynnNChicago says:

Hi Everyone! It is midnight here in Chicago and I just got an email from those dedicated hard-working chaps over at WordPress telling me that Mag’s strikes again!

As Jill interviews saying that she “ignores the haters” (that would be us) her assistant is not only paying attention to us, she’s spending all of her time contacting WordPress and filling out forms and filing reports – I really hope Mags is getting paid well, wouldn’t it be funny if she was an unpaid intern? Poor Mags, she’s so misguided, she’s so naive and she’s so well….stupid. Sorry Mags, I hate to call you out but I had to. You’re defending the queen of all evil, the bitchiest of the bitches and the most hated housewife in Bravo history.

And so the “I Hate Jill Zarin” blog will move to a new site, a site controlled by the bloggers, not the host, a blog that does not break any laws (as this one doesn’t break any laws either) but will remain “I Hate JIll Zarin” and will be MINE and mine alone (along with my partner Imajustsaying) we will fight on and there is nothing that Mrs. Zarin or her minions can do about it.

Keep in mind that re-posting Jill Zarin’s tweets is not illegal or against any rule or law, but WordPress sees the report and immediately takes action.

I got a wake up call about using Jill’s tweeted photos, a very good friend told me that I was posting her Twitter photos and she actually looked GOOD in them, of course she’s not going to tweet crappy photos of herself! What was I thinking, I’ll just use the ugly photos of Zarin that are not hers. It makes my life a whole lot easier too! Thanks Mags!

So hang in there guys, there will be a blog tomorrow, just not here! It probably won’t be until around noonish, so in the meantime we’ll loiter here to chat.

Thanks for the 3.1 million hits WordPress but if you’re going to cave to the Zarin camp, we’ll take our business elsewhere!

Oh and FYI, the comments will run the same way as they do here!

I just hope FLG can find us once he’s finished moving! 🙂 lol

Have a great night everyone! I’ll post the new blog link tomorrow around noon. 🙂

    • IceMeNot says:

What’s the frequency, Kenneth? Whoops! I mean, what’s the link Lynn?

Will it be at the top of this blog?

    • vilzvet says:

Awesome! Can’t wait to go to the new place!

    • Shannon says:

I’m so happy for you Lynn. You won’t have to deal with this WordPress nonsense anymore. I love how you don’t cave in to a BULLY like Jill.

    • Kats2 says:

      Lynn,

It’s better that you move and don’t have to deal with such strict silly rules. I’m so happy you’re not ever going to change the blog name, it will always be easy to find. Jill the loser or Mag’s her loser minion win nothing, if anything they make us want to spread the word and support you even more. Can’t wait to chat with you over at the new place.

      Good Morning Jill and Mag’s!

      • BessiB says:

The rules are not the problem,
The problem is that WordPress blocks first and asks the questions later.

    • TLM says:

Lynn, is there a way to migrate over the archives to the new site?

  83. VAgirl says:

See you tomorrow (or should I say later today?) Lynn, New place, same snark!

  84. Adgirl says:

Since we’re moving I guess I should leave all of my misspelled typo comments here. Lynn, I hope WordPress gave you a nice going away party.

  85. VAgirl says:

This is for WordPress. Goodnight everybody. Or should I say Good Morning?

Good night everyone – see you tomorrow.

P.S. Hi everyone I hope to be around to coment on real time –

This Jill Zarin method of operandum. As I heard her personally tell many people at store.
“You don’t know who I am..You will be sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
but Ma’am we aren’t allowed by law to accept used underwear as returned merchandise.

She didn’t care about anyone but herself. YOU GROSS PIG JILLOUSY
PAY YOUR MONEY AT ESTABLISHMENTS AND KEEP YOUR FILTHY UNDERGARMENTS AT HOME

Seriously, 3 visits to attack people at one store with the most hysterical entrances and water spilling theatrics.
JIll Zarin go swin in a pool of filth. You miscreant.

PEOPLE WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER YOU FOR YOUR HIGH HANDED THREATENING WAYS.

      I hope yo

  88. BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

    Good morning~ 🙂
Glad to hear that we are all going to share a new home soon.
I was thinking about why we find JZ to be the most horrible person in the world & for me it is because she seems to have everything & it’s not enough. Some people in this world like disabled Veteran hubby & me & mama are on fixed incomes & would love a day where we could wake up & not have to worry about anything. She is wasting her life to me & that is where the outrage stems from. I would still rather be me than her any day of the week.

    • boston02127 says:

Good morning BaaBee—-I’d rather be your friend than hers. And you’re right, she’s never happy and is wasting her life.

      • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

Thank you boston~we are friends & I am so very blessed to have you honey. How are you today? Just fed the bunny & he or she is getting big. lol 😉

        • boston02127 says:

Hi BaaBee, I’m doing good. Nice quiet morning. Thx. It’s going to be a hot one here today, I already have the shades down blocking out the sun.

When that bunny is big enough, you’ll soon know if it’s a he or a she. If it’s a she, you may get baby bunnys visiting. 🙂

          • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

I was thinking & hoping that was the case boston~wouldn’t that be great?
It’s been so hot & humid here too. If we go anywhere it has to be before 10 am.

    • Error404 says:

      Good morning all.

Jill is unhappy because she lacks what we all have.
      True friends.
      A forgiving heart.
A marriage that is about more than the exchange of sex for $
      A glass half full

I see us Internet strangers compliment and support each other in a way you never see the cast of RH do. Bravo is all about women behaving badly.

  89. FlowerPower says:

Blessings on your move, Lynn! May your blog live long and prosper.

  90. boston02127 says:

    Good morning everyone. 🙂

I was reading Mags’ tweets. She has less than 100 followers. This blog got more traffic since Bobby mentioned it on the show.

  91. boston02127 says:

Jill is still tweeting/begging to Paris & Kathy Hilton for a play date for their dogs. What an desperate idiot she makes of herself.

    • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

Did you see when she was on It’ Me or The Dog? The woman who stars on the show spent a lot of time shaking her head & rolling her eyes. JZ spends about as much on her dog per year as we spend on ourselves..:P

      • boston02127 says:

She spends as much time with her dog as Luann spends with her kids. Ha ha

I’m betting her cyber asst. job includes taking care of that poor dog and cleaning up it’s poo and pee all around Jill’s apartment.

Help!!! I need an intervention – this Blog is becoming all-consuming (just ask my husband). My house is an absolute mess and I think I see the Hoarder’s Production Team stopping out front!!!!

My house is in desperate need of of cleansing as well 🙂 lol Dust bunnies abound!
      Moneycanbuyyouass~just ask Bobby!

      • Error404 says:

We’re cleaning and cleansing now that never-ending guests are gone. It’s all burning sage and sweeping with birch branches chez nous. Man that marriage had a lot of negative energy!

        • BaaBee Loves Kitties says:

That’s hard to deal with. We burn incense here.
Every time I tell hubby it’s time to clean he pretends to start crying. lol

    • Error404 says:

Don’t forget to give your ihjz friends a shout out on camera!

Don’t they like let you go on ihjz in a fancy hotel for two days while they clean your house for you? Or is that just the Necie Nash show?

      • moneycanbuyyouass says:

So, rather than burning sage, should I just do a “controlled burn”?!!!

    • Shannon says:

You and me both! lol Between work, Big Brother & this blog I never seem to have time to clean. I think it’s time to call in a back up for a few months. lol

  94. Kats2 says:

    Good morning 🙂

    Happy Sunday!

    I watched NYHW last night,

Ay stupid Cindy rebasing breakfast at Sonjia’s. I can’t believe her!!! And then even after all, she is the one mad at Sonjia.

Ramona and Luanne, good for Ramona….I dont care if it was out of place or whatever, stupid Luanne deserves what Ramona said, and I am glad that even Launne kept makinher condescending questions and interrupting, Ramona still got a word in to tell her off. Of course Luannee still made her exit a la ” I don’t have to take this, and I don’t have to pay for the bill” (again).

Next weeks preview – Ramona pregnant? We would have heard more on it by now, but who knows maybe they are keeping it very private so there is a real surprise on te show, since there hasn’t been anything surprising — well here’s was something REAL surprising and exciting — the mention of this blog 🙂

I’m about t watch WWHL since I also missed it the other night,

I hope we all have a nice Sunday!

one last reply… to jill and all others that think the people here have no life simply because we comment on a fantastic blog… jill you can keep your jet setting, party going, fantasulabo life full of equally wonderful *cough* friends *cough* all to yourselves. i’d much rather not be hated by an entire country and beyond, to not have to have assistants to do nothing else but try to police the internet for negative comments about me (who obviously can’t even come close to catching them all since they are sooooo numerous) and try to worthlessly get a blog which i inspired (need i say more), to not have fake friends or call people friends when they are nothing more than people i love to stab in the back and “mean tweet” about, to have a much older, pathetic kiss-ass husband who enables my bad behavior which doesn’t actually help me one bit, to be on a television show which proves forever all of the horrible things about me and my pitiful life which includes but is in no way limited by the aforementioned. no thanks. i’ll take my non-pretentious, uncomplicated, love and joy filled life and my wonderful boyfriend and true blue friends, family and neighbors and PRIVATE life. we all have problems, i certainly have my share, but the difference is i deal with mine like the mature adult i am. keep your sad, pitiful life jill – i absolutely do not want it (and don’t know anyone else who would either). it’s not worth ANY amount of money. but it is funny that one good thing you did is bring together a group of people who not only care about each other but who share their disdain for you. “the time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.” btw, this is not goodbye.

    • Blythe says:

Oh my gosh, I didn’t see that video of Luman and the men lying on a bed! Poor kids!

I had to crack up when Sonja was doing her burlesque number and Jill said to someone next to her that her daughter would have a fit. HAHAHAHAHAHA! Like she could even pull something like that off! She is far too homely. Now THAT would be something funny to see!

  100. Kitty says:

First of all Kelly is so jealous of Bethany Frankel’s success. She claims she is so “nice”. She is a 12 year old in a woman’s body. She must have cut a deal with Bravo to not focus on her craziness instead they focus on Ramona. Jill is nothing but a 2-faced loser that can’t get over the fact that Bethany wants nothing to do with her. The Countess is a man in a woman’s body. Cindy, please leave the show, you are so boring. Ramona, Alex and Sonja are a hoot and I thoroughly enjoy them.

  101. Blythe says:

I agree with every sentence there.!
