I Hate Jill Zarin Blogging the Reality Shows July 17, 2010

I Hate Jill Zarin                   A Blog about Blogging                    July 17, 2010

To be honest, I don’t have time to read every blog out there about the shows that I watch, I try to read the ones about my favorites like Bethenny’s Getting Married and the few about Top Chef.  I would read as much as I could about The Real Housewives of New York and am keeping up with the Teresa Giudice debacle.

Unless someone has unlimited time, why would they watch a show that they do not like with a star that they clearly have no love for?  Worse than that, why would they take the time to sit down and write a long blog about it?

Personally, I have absolutely no interest in the Kardashians, for example.  If I see a blog about them, or their show is on, I skip it.  I don’t see any point in wasting my time reading or watching anything about these women.  The last thing I want to do is sit down and watch an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians and then sit and write about them.  I just wouldn’t do it.  I suppose that is why I’m so confused about why others do it with Bethenny?

Do people hate Bethenny so much or are they secretly jealous of her life?  Personally, I think it is the latter.  You can be obsessed with someone to the point where you watch everything they do, follow their lives and want to “be” that person.  Are these the people that these celebrities should fear?  Are they dangerous?  Maybe some people genuinely do not like Bethenny the same way as I do not care for the Kardashians, but they’re watching Bethenny and writing blogs about her.  Isn’t that strange?

I believe that there is a happy medium.  I like Bethenny, I am a fan of Bethenny’s and I enjoy watching her, reading her tweets and watching her on talk shows or the morning news shows.  Sure, I’d like to have her talent, her wit, her figure, and certainly her money!   Do I want to “Be” her?  Nope!  I have my own family whom I love and adore, a career that I really enjoy and I live in the best city in the world!  I wouldn’t trade it for anything!

When a writer / blogger critiques every moment of an hour long show with absolutely nothing good to say, something is wrong!  I would bet that even I could watch the Kardashians and find at least one or two redeeming qualities about the show.  Writers who criticize absolutely everything that Bethenny says or does are just not right in the head.  They’re not observing the show for what it is supposed to be, entertainment.  They’re watching with the intent of ripping apart a woman that they do not like, why?

I know that similar observations could certainly be made about my blogs detailing the Real Housewives of New Jersey.  The fact is, I liked Season One of the Jersey girls, I really did.  I watched every episode, the reunion, the lost footage and even the special show all about the table flip dinner.  This season it has absolutely gone downhill fast, so why am I still watching and blogging with almost all negative observations?  It is like a train wreck that I just can’t stop watching.  It is infuriating and frustrating and I truly want to find a redeeming quality about the Jersey girls, I want to be a fan.

I guess I watch to see what is going to happen next, what lies will come out, what unbelievable thing will go on.   In comparison to Bethenny’s show, we know what happens, she gets married and has a baby, there are no big surprises coming so for you haters, there’s nothing to see here!  If Kim Zolciak or Teresa Giudice had their own show, for example, I guarantee you that I would not watch it!  I don’t like either of them and have no desire to see any more of their lives than we already do on Real Housewives of Atlanta or New Jersey.

I want to trust that what these women show us on television and talk about in interviews is the truth.  In so many cases, it comes out that much of it isn’t true.  It amazes me how many housewives have been caught in lies.  In fact, I think more have been caught lying than have not.  That may be a bit of an exaggeration.

One thing that cannot be said of Bethenny Frankel is that she lies.  When people question her version of her childhood it only shows their own ignorance as we have not yet caught Bethenny in a lie.  Even her step-father has backed up her story of the tough way she grew up, her mother hasn’t said a thing, unless you count the National Enquirer and let’s face it, you can’t count on that rag!  If Bonnie did come forward to make a statement, it would have been picked up by many news outlets and her face would be all over the internet with her quote.  She would have chosen to speak with a legitimate news source, not the Enquirer.

Bethenny haters question why her mother hasn’t come forward to dispute Bethenny’s accounting of her childhood.  It doesn’t surprise me that the woman doesn’t want to relive her mistakes.  There may be many reasons for her silence, possibly she realizes the mistakes she has made and feels that the best thing she can do for her daughter now is to let her live her life and let her shine.  She may feel embarrassed about the way she raised her child and not want to face public scrutiny.  Maybe she is angry about Bethenny revealing so many details about her childhood but has no defense.  We may never know, we may never see this woman in an interview explaining her side, but in the meantime we’ve never been lied to, that we know of, by Bethenny so we have no reason to think she is being anything but honest about her childhood.

What exactly would be Bethenny’s reason for lying about her horrible childhood?  To get sympathy?  I doubt people buy her books and watch her show because she had a shitty childhood.  Bethenny’s popularity is not based on pity or sympathy.  We like her for who she is, not for where she came from.   Who would want to put all of that out there if it weren’t true?

So many Housewives that have been caught lying and therefore cannot be trusted in anything that they have to say like Teresa Giudice, Jill Zarin, Danielle Staub, Kelly Bensimon, NeNe Leakes, Lisa Wu Hartwell, Kim Zolciak, Lynne Curtain, and the list goes on and will probably grow!  They lie about their finances, they lie about their actions their relationships and their past.

Maybe it is just the way that it feels as though Bethenny puts it all out there, tells it like it is and doesn’t seem to hide anything, but I truly don’t think she’s lying about her childhood.  Possibly sometime in the future we’ll have all found out she was making fools of her fans by lying to them but for some reason, I truly don’t think so.

I suppose the haters will continue to watch Bethenny’s show and they’ll continue to blog about her and her show, as long as they’re watching and talking about it, they are adding to the show’s success.  I feel a little sorry for these people to be honest, because they’re wasting their time watching and writing about a TV show that they don’t particularly enjoy.  For all of those Jill fans out there, I can say with confidence that Jill Zarin is watching Bethenny’s show.  I can think of hundreds of things to do rather than watching the Kardashians!  I’m sure everyone reading this blog has a show or a celebrity that they don’t like and don’t waste their time watching, right?

    I could not agree with your sentiments more, Lynn. It makes no sense to me either. If I don’t enjoy something, I tend to avoid it rather than squander my precious time wallowing in it. Anyone that spends their time so stupidly, deserves to be miserable.

    • twoile says:

      Absolutely, right on target Lynn, enjoyed your synopsis….how true why wate time on shows one does not like……unlikely……jilous….likely or someone who is jilous.

  2. boston02127 says:

    Great blog Lynn. So true.

  3. error404 says:

    It really does baffle the mind. Frankel is out on that limb, and if she falls, it will be her life that ends up shattered, not the viewers. So why all the anger? Why the need to constantly knock her marriage as fake? “A reader says that Jason has already moved out.”? Really Ilana? Watching her show has so damaged your life that you’re gleeful at the possibility of her marriage failing? I’m so sorry that your remote is broken and the off switch and channel changer don’t function any more, but doesn’t calling a repairman seem like a healthier option than rant-blogging?

    • boston02127 says:

      error–I left you a message at the bottom of the last blog. I had trouble posting on your Beekman blog.

      • error404 says:

        thanks for posting, sorry about the snafu. Hmm… I’ll have to get “tech support” (mr404) right on it.

        Feeling very Kathy Griffin this morning. We’re suppose to go to a rally in Albany supporting gay marriage rights, but right now I’d rather just sit on the couch sipping coffee and reading “I hate Jill Zarin” lol

        • Olivia says:

          Amazing isn’t it that Argentina and a number of European countries have no problem with granting gay couples the right to marriage yet here in the US, where we are supposed to be more “enlightened”, cannot seem to get past the prejudice. Disheartening.

          • kats2 says:

            It’s all very disgusting. While I’m sure there are people who can think for themselves and unfortunatley just don’t feel it’s right. I think that is a very small group compared to the mass of people who support it and don’t see it as an issue at all or really any of their business. But I seriously believe the “leaders” who are so against it, are really just using it as a political way to win votes and control for other things. You can take any topic or situation in the world and if the evil few that have a “leadership” role/voice can use it to accomplish their personal mission – they will (and some of them are actually gay). But they prey and manipulate highly religious, highly patriotic, less educated, older people to lock them in and basically brain wash them. (It doesn’t work on most, but it works on some people, specifically when the topic is beaten to death)

            If FOX NEWS on one of their regular shows started saying that the color Orange is not Patriotic , it’s not on our flag is it? Jesus never wore the color Orange. It’s an evil color. While the majority of the world would just laugh, there would be a shocking amount of people who would stop wearing Orange, eating oranges, and want a ban of the color Orange in schools.

            Sad but true.

            • Quincy IL says:

              Gays should get married and serve in the military. This is a small city in the Midwest and it’s very open to all people. If there is predjudice, you sure don’t see it in the public square.

              • Gays have always lived in a marital state and served in the military. It has just never been acknowledged or legalized before. I heartily agree that giving a piece of paper to them making it legal will not stop the entire world spinning!

            • twoile says:

              Is that why prisoners wear orang jumpsuits?;0)

            • Snarkella says:

              Thanks kats2. I wanted to say something similar but chickened out. Good for you!

            • tuzentswurth says:

              Legality vs. religion needs to be removed from the gay marriage issue. Legally, marriage is a contract and any citizen should be able to enter into said contract if they choose. Leave religion out of it ala separation of church and state.
              Religions can make whatever “rules” they want. Nobody has to join that church if they don’t agree……..but if you are a citizen here, Why can’t you enter a legally binding contract if you choose?
              All the hoopla just doesn’t make sense to me. Could we just grow up already and mind our own business?

          • Scorpiosue says:

            Totally agree Olivia. Funny how the best relationships in my family are the gay relationships. My uncle and his partner have been together the longest. There is nothing good about a partner not being able to receive benefits or to not be able to be bedside in a hospital.

            • Ellabean says:

              A heart agreed nod with all of you on gay rights and gay marriage be accepted in the US. I thought the same thing when I heard about Argentina.

              In many ways the US is still an adolescent compared to the rest of the civilized world.

        • Squirrels says:

          Why not get rid of marriage licenses all together and have the legal (paper in your hand) ceremony be called “Union”. Seems to me quite a few are hung up on the word “marriage”, but not the concept. If, regardless of gender, everyone has a legal union (and I’ve heard it called that in many many ceremonies), then the word marriage would fall away over time. Yes, you would still say you are married, but in the eyes of the law, you have a union that no one can piss on. Protection for couples should cross all sections of this country.

          <<< Polyanna shall now get off her soapbox, and probably fall out of a tree, dammit.

          • Ellabean says:

            But Christian far right fundalmentalists’s heads would explode. They are waaaaaay not ready for that. Hey we just got a black president. And their Tea Party heads are exploding.

    • Need a Hobby says:

      Illana Angel wrote that “a reader says that Jason has already moved out?” That’s really lame. So she’s just passing on unverified gossip from unknown others as if she has no responsibility for doing so? So throw any bit of fabricated sewage at her and she’ll put it on the net and associate her name with it? Apparently so.

      Ilana Angel apparently has gone off the rails….she even criticizes Bethenny for talking about herself and her concerns during her session with her therapist. Isn’t that rather the whole point of going to a therapist? To work through one’s issues? Someone should go to a therapist and discuss Keynesian economics instead?

      While there’s a lot one can criticize about Bethenny with varying degrees of validity (as with anyone, really) this kind of bizarre criticism shows to what ridiculous lengths some people will go to find something to criticize. That’s reflects more on the author than the subject of the piece. I previously suspected perhaps Angel was moving into performance art with her columns, since they appeared to adopt a peculiarly skewed point of view IMO, but she appears quite serious about it.

      • MickeyMouth says:

        If Ilana’s reader is correct that Jason has moved out, did Bethenny get his mother in the separation. Why else would Bethenny be tweeting pics of his mom. I mean a reliable source like Ilana’s reader would be more in the know, right?

        • Rabble Rouser says:

          Silly rumors like this don’t take much to get off the ground. Jason could been seen leaving the apartment with an overnight suitcase for a business trip and all it takes is one suspicious and bored person to make more of it than it is.

      • error404 says:

        Am I the only one whom, whenever I read something like this from an anonymous source or “reader” etc… just automatically assumes it’s Jill?

  4. Olivia says:

    Did I read somewhere that the book that Bethenny was writing when she got married was a “tell all” rather than another cookbook? I wish I could remember where I saw that piece but if memory serves it was sometime around January that this was reported.

    Why would she lie in the first place about her upbringing? Unlike Danielle, for instance, who apparently has peppered her past with refutable testimony that what she invented as her life is not true, Bethenny would have served herself better had she claimed more of a relationship with a father who was considered a champion horse trainer and grabbed onto his coattails to make a name for herself. She appears to be a product of a couple who should never had children in the first place and who ignored her emotional needs in favor of themselves. Even as an adult, it is difficult to override this void which may have sown the seeds of her drive and inability to make a commitment as she frankly lays out in her narrative.

    I may be a “sap”, but when she was on the beach watching those little girls romp with their parents close by I saw it more as something she would have liked to have happened to her but never did. Her emotions were all over the map due to her hormones being out of balance but her desire for “normalcy” is at the root of much of her behavior. This is what draws me to Bethenny more than anything.

    You are so correct in pointing out that the slams she has taken are out of whack for what this show represents. True, she can be abrasive at times, but overall she is a deeply conflicted person who is genuinely nice. She has difficulty believing in her luck and the fact that someone could love her. Perhaps I am playing Dr. Phil here with no credentials to back it up, but Bethenny seems to draw much empathy from us who see her as vulnerable and worthy of affection.

    I happen to like her. Warts and all.

    • Snarkella says:

      Me too!

    • OneMoreinBoston says:

      Once again, Olivia, I completely agree with your insight:

      “I may be a “sap”, but when she was on the beach watching those little girls romp with their parents close by I saw it more as something she would have liked to have happened to her but never did”

      I too saw in her, the regret of her “lost” childhood by identifying with those little girls playing.

      I almost could hear her vow to herself …”my child will NOT grow up like I did” as she wiped her tears away.

      I guess I’m sappy too, but that scene really hit me.

      • Ellabean says:

        Re: Bethenney’s next book – Not a tell all, but more of a motivational book (yes not a cookbook). It’s called , “A Place of Yes”.

        ,,,did ya catch that Kelly …? Huh ? Did ya?

        What do you want to bet that Kelly is penning her inspirational tome right now. It’s going to be called,” A Place of Cartwheels: How You Too Can Celebrate…Me.”

        • Snarkella says:

          Love it! And I propose a national holiday — “Kelly Time.” And we celebrate by eating jelly beans and wearing feathers, then we sit around the table and give thanks to Kelly for teaching us how to authentic. After all, it’s all about Kelly, right?

        • Buffywood says:

          I chuckle a little everytime I see the title of her book. I have a 2 year old son and some days everything that comes put of his mouth is “no”… The family joke is that “Garrett is coming from a place of No” today! We all laugh and then he says “No”.

    • Tootsie says:

      You go girl, you have it down pat. There is more to Bethenny than some people see. She is a complicated, deep woman with conflicts. Yet, she has been able to make a career for herself and a marriage. Why someone would want to say the marriage is on the rocks is beyone me. Some people just don’t like success stories I guess.

  5. MickeyMouth says:

    It’s strange the amount of hate Bethenny draws. Maybe this is “normal” in the reality world. It”s different from the Zarin/Guidice detractors who have been caught in actual lies or criminal behavior. When it comes to Bethenny they seem to make things up. They should blog a different show or better yet turn off the TV awhile.

    • error404 says:

      yes. If “I hate Jill Zarin” had been created after season 1 or 2, I could see the comparison. But it wasn’t created until season 3, when Jill’s behavior on and off the small screen went way beyond “Her nasily voice annoys me” gripes.

      • Snarkella says:

        I agree error. Jill became jealous of her so-called best friend, then set out to discredit her with outright lies and an assortment of mean-girl-high-school antics. Who does that? It is one thing to go off on an enemy like a lunatic but Bethenny was a good friend. Who can defend this behavior? And who can every really trust Jill again? Even Bobby must be sleeping with one eye open.

  6. boston02127 says:

    @Olivia–This is a link to her newest book. It only gives a fews hints about what it will be about.

  7. boston02127 says:

    I was just reading Kelly’s tweets. She has a new video about surfing on there this morning. I don’t want to post it here and clog up the blog. It’s not worth watching. The point is that she seems like such a lonely person. Looking at the time of her tweets and her pictures, she seems to always be alone. I’m guessing that others can’t stand her either but I wonder if she realizes that she’s always alone.

    • Olivia says:

      Sometimes Kelly seems more to be pitied than censored. Spending hours twittering nonsense to a bunch of strangers leads to the acceptance that she indeed is probably a very lonely soul.

    • error404 says:

      I think it’s on purpose. I think she’s a loner at heart. Social situations seem to make her uncomfortable. I think the sadness comes from her unfulfilled romantic relationships. I think she really wanted to be Robin to Gilles Batman, but instead found herself alone in the bat cave too much. Kiki does everything half-ass including her relationships, so until she learns to truly commit, she’ll end up disappointed. And that’s my dine store psychology for the moment. lol

      • Snarkella says:

        Lonely Kelly wants to be celebrated by the other women. She’s got it all ass-backwards. When you learn to celebrate others, then, oh my, you suddenly find them celebrating you in return. Kelly will always be lonely until she learns to put others before herself. But you know ol’ Kel — she’s on Planet Kelly, having Kelly-Time, and drinking the Kellade.

    • kats2 says:

      I agree Boston. She is very lonely. She talks of an amazing group of friends but there’s no proof of it.

      • Quincy IL says:

        She’s going to Mohegan Sun and Vegas with somebody. She also has a close friend in common with Sonja.

        Unless…these “friends” are hairdressers and makeup people like Danielle’s only “friend” on the planet from season one NJ.

        I think Kelly is lonely, but she’s also on planet Kelly. The electrical wires occassionally buzz…

        Jill interacts with family and she seems to have some long term friends. She is self centered and those friends rotate around Jill the Star, but she does interact.

        • kats2 says:

          My understanding is that those events are paid gigs, where she will be seen and photographed with other paid gig’d people. Who I’m 99% sure they are not her friends just basically working together to promote where ever they will be.

          Kelly will post pics with them and tweet with them and in Kelly’s mind she will be friends with them but that’s not really the case.

          I have never seen one pic of Kelly lunching or hanging with a person that she states is her friend from school or a family member (ex-husband and kids don’t count), a BF , a Date, etc. . . Out to dinner with GF’s – NEVER

          It’s very odd to me and I hope it’s not the case.

        • Jules says:

          I don’t really remember seeing Jill with any longtime friends. The only people I remember seeing her with that have know her for awhile are her family members. Even Ramona doesn’t really consider Jill that kind of close friend, but just more of a social friend. We see Alex, Bethenny, and Ramona hanging out more with other people outside of the real housewives cast during episodes than we do Kelly, or Jill.

          • Jules says:

            I also think Jill is one of those people that comes on strong, so a newcomer is going to like her because she is welcoming, but I think the longer you know her the less you like. After knowing Jill for awhile you begin to see her for who she really is, and the friendship dies out. This makes her anger, and she strikes out because she does not give without expecting a payback. I was always taught that you give with the expectation of nothing in return.

    • Scorpiosue says:

      You know the funny thing about Kelly is that in season 2 she said this “I am more off the map than on it.” Boy, how have things changed. She doesn’t just want to be on the map she wants to be the map. There’s a sense of desperation to be liked and accepted that Kelly has. She cannot be happy by just being.

      Personally, I think Kelly is doing all of the You Tubes to show that she would be great (in her own mind) to have her OWN reality show. Bethenny gets her own reality show and now we have all these You Tube videos with Kelly. Stalker much.

    • Squirrels says:

      Hahahaha !!!! Ok… Her “foam board” is indeed the easiest to get up on. But not so much because it’s foam…. Because it’s an 8′ longboard that distributes wt much better than a short board. It’s easier to catch a wave and maneuver. You can’t cut well with them, but you can just roll w/ the wave.

      So Kelly, right after your lesson, hop a plane to Cali, or better yet Hawaii. THAT I’d pay $ to see.

  8. HD says:

    I really don’ t read about that show other than some of the links people post here and I didn’t know the dislike for Bethanny was that heavy. (I will have to look around the web today since I have a free day.)

    I did state some things on the last blog…I guess I might fall into this category…there are some things I love and some things I don’t like about the show. Even some of my most favorite shows I love I don’t enjoy them all the time. I’m rambling…oh well…satchels of gold…

    • Buffywood says:

      I replied recently to your post on the last blog… I agree with your views and I believe a lot do as well.

    FakeNBake Teresa’s tweet-
    Yesterday, I shot a commercial for Sizzle Tans in New Jersey! Love Love Love them and can’t wait for you all to see it!!
    .
    Pssst Teresa—With all the money you owe, you should probably think about endorsing something a lot bigger than a NJ tanning salon.

    • Pat Johnson says:

      Who are the people seeking her endorsements? Jaybus, you would think that they would choose someone with more looks, credibility, integrity, and “truthiness” to stand behind their product.

      What’s next, Theresa extolling the “goodness” of BP?

      • Squirrels says:

        I don’t think a lot of people read the Wall Street Journal, nor do they twitter or read blogs. Therefore, it is quite possible the owner of said tanning salon has zero idea she’s in financial trouble. No self respecting biz person would jeopardize their livelihood to help out some grifting scum-ho-bag.

        This is the one area where PR 101 definitely does NOT work. No biz wants to hitch their reputation/advertising wagon to a loser.

        I suspect the owner will find out sooner or later and if wise, pull that hair extension…. I mean plug.

    • Wendy says:

      The tweet should be sent to the bankruptcy court so they can seize that paycheck to pay the creditors. At least it would be a little something.

  10. boston02127 says:

    Ashley’s tweet: LOL i love being the only girl at a party ❤
    .
    So do strippers Ashley!

  11. Char212 says:

    Bethenny was on the Today Show this morning and she looked great. She certainly didn’t look or act like a women whose husband moved out. Some people can’t stand seeing someone happy it seems. I watched two episode of the Atlanta housewives and decided that it wasn’t for me so I never watched again. I mean, who does that?

    Another great blog Lynn!

    • tuzentswurth says:

      I tried two episodes also, that is as far as I got. Dumb AND low class! For some reason, Bravo tried to do the same with all RH after that. OC got dumber and trashier as did NY. Then they pulled out this NJ crap.

  12. boston02127 says:

    (from zap2it)
    Just as Danielle Staub threatens to sue her castmates after Monday’s (July 12) hair-raising episode of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” her exes are announcing they will be suing her in two separate cases.
    Her ex-husband, Kevin Maher, tells Zap2it his attorneys will file a lawsuit against Staub, her book’s alleged ghost writer and its publisher, Simon & Schuster within the next two weeks for “lies” found in her book, “The Naked Truth.” And her ex-boyfriend, Steve Zalewski, has filed a defamation and harassment suit against the housewife for alleged lies she told surrounding the sex tape they made together.

    According to Maher, the two men hoped their suits would hit together. “Steve and I were working together,” he tells us. “We wanted to sue her on both coasts at the same time, but my lawyer was too busy and Steve beat us to it.” In January, Maher’s attorneys sent Simon & Schuster a letter. It informed them that he was suing Staub in Los Angeles County Superior Court and that if the book contained anything untrue about him, he would pursue legal actions against them, too.
    “The lie that she told about me was that I beat her in a cocaine stupor for days,” Maher says. “And then when the police showed up, I confessed and then I went to prison.” He adds, “I was never in prison in my adult life. Period.”
    Zalewski’s case was filed in Morris County, New Jersey Thursday (July 15) according to RadarOnline.com. It revolves around statements she made on the Bravo show about being taped without her knowledge. Zap2it spoke to Zalewski about his sex tape with Staub back in April when we were the first to report that a second tape was floating around. “Pretty much the stuff I have I’m not even in,” he told us. “It’s all stuff she sent me. I wasn’t even there, you know, she filmed herself kind of thing.” He told us that aside from a few scenes of Staub giving him oral sex, the footage is mostly of her alone shooting herself doing sex acts. She would then send the video to him on his cell phone. “Danielle Staub constantly makes statements about my client that she knows are false and that continue to damage his reputation,” Zalewski’s attorney, Nase Naumoski, told RadarOnline.com. “We want to put a stop to it.”

    Their all such shitty people. It goes to show that birds of a feather fly together.

      Oh what tangled webs we weave! These people will regret the day they agreed to be on television if they don’t already.

      • Snarkella says:

        I agree. Why do they go on television with so many dirty little secrets? I really have no dirty little secrets, but going on a reality show would scare the hell out of me. I’d be afraid people would find dirty little secrets I didn’t even know I had.

      • cusi77 says:

        I agree with you Char – They sold their souls.

    • Capiche says:

      And they admit that they collaborated with their lawsuits! Idiots! Which judge is going to take any of them seriously now? Not to mention, suing someone because she spread some rumors is ridiculous in and of itself. I really need to know what Danielle is doing to these people that have their heads spinning like this. It’s crazy. She’s making them look and sound crazy. What are her special powers???

      If they just allow Danielle to self-destruct, they would come off so much better. Instead they muck it up with her and sling mud at each other until they’re all covered. She has really brought them down to her level and keeps pushing them further as she now attempts to rise above the nonsense she started. She has skills.

      • Kokuanani says:

        Clearly they never heard the old adage,

        “never wrestle with a pig. You both get dirty, and the pig loves it.”

      • Squirrels says:

        Libel is libel. However, you have to prove you have been severely damaged by it. Don’t know if co-workers snickering counts, but who knows what the guys have been through on this. I suspect her husband would have a greater case, since if he ever filled out a job application and didn’t disclose a conviction, he could lose his job.

        Who knows. Dunno if I care. Oh well.

    • kats2 says:

      I don’t like Danielle at all but here’s the thing – I think when it comes to the kind of stuff she’s doing it’s all very well thought out and she knows how far to go without going too far to get in trouble. It’s all very proactive moves on her part. While all these other people are in reaction mode to her moves and it’s knee jerk law suits, and petty stuff that will not hold up in court.

      Yes they are all vile but Danielle is calculating and smart about the vile things she’s doing.

      I’m willing to bet my lunch (well not even because I don’t really care) that Danielle dropped the chargers before and knew she was going to wait to see it all play out and press charges again. She planned to become a lesbian and release her lesbian song, she planned the whole body guard thing before the season, she sucked stupid Ashley into her web and now has her exactly where she wants her. While she is vile, she is at least playing a smarter game and these other cast members are so falling for it. They have no control, they are obsessed with hating Danielle, it consumes their day to day life.

      And while the other HW’s have all these stories about Danielle and all the bad stuff that she has done, they have NO PROOF and nothing so far has been against any law.

      They are all so screwed, they are out of their league. Caroline said “We will never lose to her” Honey, you have already lost. You can’t win this one and just the fact that you, Teresa, Jac, Ashley can’t shut up about her, she is the core to your job, and you are playing her game – game over.

      • Capiche says:

        And note that all the bad things Danielle has “supposedly” done is off-camera while they are captured like raging banashees chasing her down in a country club and stalking her while the cops are called on them! I would be amused if it wasn’t terrifying and sad. In the end, they may end up more phsyically dangerous than Danielle because, while we mock her stupid lawsuit, there is a proven “gang mentality” that enables otherwise sane people to do some crazy shit. Danielle is insane. But she’s not stupid.

    I wonder what Danielle’s priest must think of all these revelations. Since she claimed to be so “spiritual” and attends Mass every Sunday, she seems to be feeding him a lot of his weekly sermons.

    Since this series has begun she has been exposed as a coke whore, poll riding, paid escort who has been taped performing sex acts and has “starred” alone in her own sexting e-mail with Steve. She admits to having phone sex and propositioning a date for a bathroom encounter. She produces a book whose content, while sensational, has been subject to containing all sorts of lies and tops it off with her latest “lesbian” love affair and we have pretty much summed up Danielle.

    I’m Catholic and I can’t see my priest agreeing with my brand of “spirituality”. It’s “sackcloth and ashes” time for her.

    So there are actually people out there that are finding FAULT with Bethenny’s Getting Married?? Good grief……..you are right, how much time do these people have? do they have no life at all?

    I watch a LOT of tv….especially Reality Tv and I have a family……so I don’t have time to read all the blogs (just love yours…and a few others) but I wouldn’t waste any time watching a show I didn’t like and then writing about how much I didn’t like it…….

    ugh…..

    • WindyCityWondering says:

      How true! When I have the time to watch a show then I want to enjoy it. And as for blogs – those filled with crazy hate don’t appeal to me. This blog is a forum and community where I appreciate the various views, snarky comments and the laughs. If I am not entertained then I am somewhere else doing something else and that is life.

  18. Calling you out Lynn says:

    Lynn,

    I love your blog, but you seem to contradict yourself.

    You stated “I can think of hundreds of things to do rather than watching the Kardashians! I’m sure everyone reading this blog has a show or a celebrity that they don’t like and don’t waste their time watching, right?” The same could be said about you.
    Why do you blog about a celebrity (Jill) you don’t like?

    Also, you said, ” I feel a little sorry for these people to be honest, because they’re wasting their time watching and writing about a TV show that they don’t particularly enjoy.” You write about Jill, cant stand to watch her on TV, yet take the time out of your day to create a daily blog about her. Kinda tongue in cheek, huh?

    • boston02127 says:

      If there was a “Jill” show, I highly doubt we’d watch it. Jill just happens to be on a show we all enjoy.

      • MickeyMouth says:

        ditto

      • Char212 says:

        I agree with you Boston. You took the words right off my keyboard.

        Lynn likes watching the housewife shows and it just so happens Jill is on one of them. She doesn’t like the Kardashians so she doesn’t blog about them. With that said, if one of us does watch them we are free to discuss it here on Lynn’s blog. I could see your point if every blog Lynn has written was solely about Jill but that’s not the case.

        I’m glad you asked the question though, just in case others were wondering too.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

      Don’t confuse the title of this blog with the contents of the posters. Jill is a nasty person on a show (and her vile behavior off show as well) we all watch and learn about. Other topics of Lynn’s choice come up and are discussed – off topic is also allowed. So if you can’t enjoy the banter here, you have the option not to read it, comment on it or call anyone out on it. Just saying!

    • Snarkella says:

      For me it’s not a contradiction. It’s only natural to want to defend someone you like (Bethenny) against someone who is trying to do her harm (Jill). There is no way to do that without examining the behavior of both parties.

    • Jules says:

      Lynn likes the RHONYC, as do the rest of us here. The problem is, we don’t like Jill, and we don’t like that fact that she has made a show we really like alot less fun to watch because of her nonsense this season. We would like to see her gone from the show, so that we can enjoy it as much as we did in previous seasons. Plus, it apparently is completely lost on you that Lynn’s blog is not about Jill everyday. Blog here run the gammit from BGM to Top Chef, etc., so you should know of what you speak.

      • Ellabean says:

        “Calling” – when did you change your screen name? And what’s up with that picture?

  19. Duchess of Dryer Lint says:

    I rewatched the “March Madness” episode of BGM last night, where she tries to get Jason to get up from the game and help her plan the wedding. Am I the only one who got a little pissed at Jason during that scene? She had ligitimat and real complaints, and was clearly frustrated. She verbalized very clearly that she needed his input about the menu and his parents and friends likes and dislikes because she didn’t know what they would like. He wanted to watch the game. He says to her “You are just pissed because I am sitting here watching this game” (while you pull your hair out trying to make decisions regarding people whose tastes you don’t know but I do) and when she says yes, that is true he immediately brings up the whole “Page six” thing and all that goes with her celebrity. To me it just stunk of manipulation and his way of ending the conversation. “I would get involved but this thing is more about your business than my dreams, and I just suffer through it. I never wanted to be famous”
    What is that—the best defense is a good offense? He had no excuse for his lack of involvement and when she is literally begging him for help he falls onto the one thing he knows will shut her up–She is famous and he was not before he met her? And she is supposed to feel go guilty about it she just shuts up and gives him what he wants?

    Okay, HELLO? You knew who she was when you met her. You knew her life when you dated her. You signed contracts or they would not be filming you. You sit in an apartment, reaping the benefits of her efforts. Perhaps this is why she wanted a VERY small wedding. Less publicity and more about you two. YOU told her it needed to be larger. YOU told her YOU wanted the whole wedding scene. So, yes, she is planning alot of this for YOU, as she said! All her friends (except her maid of honor) are from the area the wedding is being held in. YOU have the large out of town contingency. Get up off your dead ass and help her!

    I was just really bothered when he brought up that the wedding was more for the benefit of the viewers and she needed to focus on the fact that the wedding should be about them. How much more focused can she be on them when she is busting her ass trying to make it what HE said he wanted?

    I just really did not like the feeling I got from that moment—Huge red warning bells.
    Or am I being over sensitive?

    • Scorpiosue says:

      I kind of see your point, but Bethenny also knew how much he loves basketball (remember the scene on RHONY, I think, when they were moving and they were discussing that the basketball was not going to be on display?) Though I think Bethenny was rightfully frustrated because Jason was watching basketball, but Jason was also right in that scene when he said (paraphrase) “So you’re going to let me order the cake? I don’t think so.” Bethenny is very type A and wants things done her way i.e. badgering Shawn about the cake, the cotton candy at The Four Seasons, table settings, etc. She’s going to want to have her fingers in all the pots.

      For me, I think you need a more laid back person to be with a type A person otherwise it’s WWIII.

      • Duchess of Dryer Lint says:

        if he says that, then fine. but to throw the whole fame thing in her face (and he has done it before) is what got me. It was like he had no other defense for not answering her questions about the menu and hotel situation and so he just fell back into what seems like it is becoming a crutch for him. “Poor me, so unwillingly famous, and it is all your fault” I don’t know, like I said, bad taste in my mouth.

      • Snarkella says:

        I agree SS. I love Bethenny but I sided with Jason on this one. When I need to speak to my husband about something important, other than the house being on fire, I wait until the game is over. I hope Bethenny comes to realize that sometimes you need to give the man you love a little space.

      • Squirrels says:

        Jason was a star basketball player in HS and college. He’s as hooked as it gets without becoming a coach himself.

        • Ellabean says:

          Yes, Jason was a college Basketball all American.

          Sorry, disagreeing with you here. Have you ever tried to get a husband to look away from the TV during his favorite sports playoff? The house would have to be on fire.

          I found that scene very very very real.It made me smile.

          Tip to Bethenny – you communicate before the game – and you ‘work’ it out. “Game on at 3pm , honey? Okay then we talk at 2:00 pm.”

      • tlm says:

        A girlfriend of mine and I are very “type A” and opinionated. She married a type B guy, and truthfully that’s the kind of guy I am looking for, to be a calming influence and balance. But you take the good with the bad. The same women who wanted the “B” guy will often be frustrated that they wish he did more to help, or were as on top of things as they are, or were more ambitious. But they aren’t…if they were, they wouldn’t be a type B person, or calming in other ways.

    • kats2 says:

      Duchess I don’t know if you are or not. I thought that if anything on the show was planted or staged it was that “heated” moment. I mean it was so easy for them both to point out his friends and her show thing. That whole exchange didn’t impact me one way or another.

      The show is setting them up finacially for life, anyone who does what B does would be stupid to not use the show to brand her products that is all part of their financial future and success.

      I would kill for someone to let me have that nice of a wedding and pay the bill.

      I would love to tell people they could not take photographs at the wedding, specifically when a professional photographer has been hired. I have always thought that was tacky and I have seen people actually get carried away with it vs. enjoying the moment (sit down, you’re not getting paid to take pictures).

      Looks like everyone had a blast at the wedding so I don’t think the cameras got in the way.

      Jason and his family look like they are having a great time and actually very comfortable on camera.

      So for me I think some people are making a “Mountain out of Holemill”
      I still love Ramona

      • WindyCityWondering says:

        Jason’s comment, “Babe, the game is on!” is heard in just about every household that contains a male member! I laughed because I have heard in not just from my hubby but from my kids as well.

        • Buffywood says:

          AND some female members! In my house you don’t bother me when the Eagles are on (I gave up my season tickets when I had my son 2 years ago), and you don’t bother my boyfriend if the Giants are playing or Kentucky basketball. We have both Comcast and Direct TV so we are both assured to be able to watch all of our games. It is all about timing… no decision ever need to be made before the end of an inning, quarter, half or game as far as I am concerned.

    • HD says:

      He likes basketball and Bethenny will have to bend on some things in her marriage. It is not Bethenny’s world anymore. When you become married it is OUR world. For the most part any wife or serious girlfriend, whatever, knows to leave their husbands/boyfriends alone while they are watching sports. No man wants to discuss beef tartar while March Madness is on. Jason doesn’t give a damn about beef tartar nor does his dad and I am sure his friends don’t either. Whatever she picked, he probably really didn’t care. He was watching sports. Talk to him when it is over. I am married and I know this. My husband LOVES basketball. I could be giving the cure to all the ills in the world and if basketball is on, he would much rather I just be quiet. You learn as you go along. She’ll get it.

  20. Rabble Rouser says:

    I hope the rumors aren’t true about Jason moving out. I really don’t think they are since the PR people usually put something out to try and stay on top of it before the bloggers go on the attack.

    As entertaining as BGM might be. I don’t think the scrutiny and over exposure is ideal for a newly married couple, especially when Jason supposedly really values his privacy.

    • Scorpiosue says:

      I absolutely do not believe those rumors. There was someone who was at the book signing just the other day and Jason was supposed to be around the bookstore somewhere. Also, there is no way Jason is going to leave his months old daughter. No way. Funny how this comes out right after the honeymoon episodes.

    • icantstandthetoxicity says:

      Jason hasn’t moved out. That rumor was started by one of Bethenny’s haters, it’s not true. This just shows you how easy it is to start malicious rumors about people.

    Ahhhh, but that’s not what she said.

    She stated, “I’m sure everyone reading this blog has a show or a celebrity that they don’t like and don’t waste their time watching, right?”

    Jill is a celebrity on the show…Lynn doesn’t like her, so why waste time writing and watching? I hate Jill Zarin just as much as the next, and I read Lynn’s blogs daily. I just find it somewhat hypocritical to make these type of statements when your not following your own example.

    Sorta, like Teresa saying “I’m so nice”, when indeed we all know shes a straight up bitch!

    • MickeyMouth says:

      I don’t think I could watch TV/Movies/News at all with that strict logic and don’t believe that was what this blog was about, but that’s up to Lynn to defend or ignore. I dislike at least one person or character on about every TV program I watch. There’s the baby and the bath water analogy, and I would love to throw out Jill without spilling a drop of the water that is the RHONY. Well maybe Kelly could slip out too.

    • boston02127 says:

      @Calling Lynn Out—Lynn didn’t say anything, she typed it. What Lynn wrote is easy common sense. Everyone on this blog enjoys The Housewives Shows. Unfortunately Jill is a D-list celebrity appearing on one. That leaves us all “having” to watch her along with the rest of the people we do like. If Jill had her own show, let’s say it’s called “Look What a Nasty Bitch I Am” nobody here would watch it. If Jill died tomorrow, I wouldn’t would care. As far as Lynn blogging about her, it’s a tongue in cheek blog! Lynn has brought together many intelligent, funny & witty and caring people and it’s not all about Jill or hate. Have a good afternoon. 🙂

    • Scorpiosue says:

      But Lynn DOES like RHONY. She does like Bethenny, Ramona, Sonja and Silex. She happens to not like Jill, LuAnn and Kelly. It would be a completely different matter if Lynn had her own show and she had a blog called “I Hate The Jill Zarin Show”.

    • Snarkella says:

      I think she was using the word “like” to express “interest”. For example, I could say I don’t like the Kardashians. But what I’m really saying is, I have no interest in them whatsoever. I don’t really dislike them, they’re just not on my radar.

      I don’t like Jill, but I do have interest in Jill and her behavior. There is very little justice in the world, so it feels good to see someone called out for her terrible behavior, even though justice for a reality show villian is about the most petty thing a person can care about. I don’t care. It feels good. Let me have my little bit of guilty pleasure puh-leeze.

      • Laura aka Just done says:

        @snarkella – also, the difference (for me, at least) is that with the Kardashians, although I find them boring, they are not doing anything to be purposely hurtful or evil. Jill, on the other hand, made a point of messing with someone’s lifestyle, their ability to “bring home the bacon.” I think there is a big difference between the two.

        I understand Lynn not wanting to watch the Kardashians b/c it bores her as it does me. Jill infuriates me.

        • twoile says:

          Ditto, I don’t dislike the “K’s” but find them absolutely boring.

        • Snarkella says:

          Very good point Laura. Jill infuriates me too. And even though it’s not my personal business, I get emotional satisfaction in watching her get caught up in her own web.

        • Quincy IL says:

    OT –
    As the RHONJ continue their obnoxious romp through the fair town of Wayne – when will the citizens of that hamlet say ENOUGH! These masters of disaster have no clue that everything they do will have a consequence eventually. Petty lawsuits about defamation of character – you have to have character first for that to happen!

    Teresa should have been charged with inciting a riot at the country club and lying to the police when they asked her what happened. Playing coy and dumb for the police must have been so easy for you – but then you exaggrate the incident for your moron husband – all on tape? Who does that??

    Jacq should be charged as well – some girl did something? You are such a good example for Trashley. And the promos of Jacq now realizing that her delinquent daughter crossed a line and it will affect her life??? That ignorant trainwreck is now pure entertainment with viewers rooting for her butt being parked in jail. Are you sad that she is turning out to be just like Danielle?

    As for the Chap 7 bankruptsy Trustee – he took away your fresh start Dumbzilla – because you lied and now everything you guys stole, borrowed and bragged about will be gone. (I hope the house they let you keep is the nastiest one of all the ones you slumlords tried to hide.) Now bring on the IRS because your tax evasion is a federal offense. (No one likes to pay taxes but most people know they have to and do so.)
    So to the larger question: “Who does that!?” – You ALL do that because you are women without character or any sense of right and wrong. And there are surprisingly consequences for it too!

    I had to get this out of my system. While a little naughty is funny – what you women do is base, crase and many times just plain illegal! But there is hope – maybe Bravo will create a series – Real Criminals of America – and you can audition – that is if you aren’t in jail!

    • I am waiting for the country clubs, restaurants and banquet halls to decide it is not worth a mention on the show to have events held there because of the possible damage to the place! Teresa flipped a table and broke dishes and made a mess. You could hear dishes breaking and see furniture being thrown at the country club and Danny P. (Felony Frodo) threatened to “tear up” the Brownstone. No respectable establishement would want association with that kind of behavior.

    Lynn Great Blog – 5 Stars from me.

    I don’t know where everyone is getting all the Bethenny rumors, reading the comments here is the first I heard of it. I haven’t read or seen them any where, but I tend to stay away from the dark side blogs that are lurking out there and failing at their very lame attempts to copy Lynn.

    But I did get a chuckle out of the rumors and of course anyone who would try to point out the error of my way for being a Bethenny fan. I saw and heard for myself all I needed to know about all the HW’s last season. IF people want to make this about teams ok, I’ll play-I’m on the right team.

    Bethenny’s star is rising very rapidly so the rumors are a lame attempt to get attention. The support and success of the show is overwhelming so blogs and people who are seeking attention go after it from a different and IMO dark angle.

    Out of all the HW’s my money is on Bethenny – I think she is the most honest one in the bunch and is way too smart and savy when it comes to the media. She knows how it works and is playing it vs. getting played. She let all of her skeletons out, so she got to tell her story, I don’t think she has anything to hide and she has a well thought out business plan.

    VS. some of the other HW’s who can’t spell honestly, are as dumb as (Insert one of those fabulous sayings from DuchessofDryerLint here) and are in reaction mode trying ot play catch up.

    Oh well enjoy the weekend!!!!

    • Snarkella says:

      I’m with you kats2.

    • Squirrels says:

      ” She [Bethenny] knows how it works and is playing it vs. getting played.”

      I think what happened is she realized she was being played by Jill and changed her game plan accordingly. As if to say, “No way Jill, you are not going to manipulate me or the situation any longer. From here on out, I’m looking out for me and I won’t need to take prisoners to do it.”

      Bethenny is smart, Madonna laughing all the way to the bank smart.

  26. Kokuanani says:

    For all of those Jill fans out there, I can say with confidence that Jill Zarin is watching Bethenny’s show.

    The only question is who’s there on “the bed” with her watching.

  27. Laura aka Just done says:

    Hi everyone. I need some advice, I only live 20 minutes from Theresa…should I go to the auction?

    • boston02127 says:

      OMG — Please go!!!

    • kats2 says:

      Not to sound bossy – But YES you will go and you will also blog about every minute of it. You will take a picture of whatever it is you end up buying and it will become part of a banner when someone starts the I hate Teresa blog.
      🙂 🙂 🙂

      When you deliver the goods, we will be indebted to you for the rest of our lives. This is a mission on behalf of all things that are good that you cannot pass up. In HW world this is equivalent to the first man who walked on the moon.

      • boston02127 says:

        @kats2—You’re so funny. 😉 LOL LOL

      • Laura aka Just done says:

        what was it that Alex said to B: “I will do this, I will deliver the message!” There is no thinking! LOL

        • Snarkella says:

          OMG. All of you are too too funny! I can’t keep writing LOL on every comment but just know that I am tempted to.

      • cusi77 says:

        Haa! Good one. Do you really like T’s taste? Remember how exited she was with that goldy furniture for her “Housewarming”?

        • Laura aka Just done says:

          @cusi – HATE her taste, but HAVE to be there! I can’t imagine driving away with much, definitely something to commemorate. One thing I did like was the martini glasses she had, simple and understated. So NOT TERESA! As for the marble/onyx/wrought iron..not my cup of tea.

          Someone did mention all of the cheap appliances though…now if they were cheap, that’s another story.

          • Buffywood says:

            Too funny as I was thinking of going too. I totally HATE her taste as well but I am very tempted… I am wondering if you need an invite or to get a ticket somehow. I would think not since isn’t it a “public” auction or sale but I can imagine it will be a zoo.

    • HD says:

      YES! YES! PLEASE!!

      A pack of rabid dogs couldn’t keep me away from that auction if I lived that close!

      • boston02127 says:

        The only thing that would stop me would be if the Pope was at my door. Then I’d ask him to come with me.

      • Laura aka Just done says:

        Kats & HD – I just spit my coffee out! Too funny. Yes, I will go, and yes, I will have my camera. Are you kidding me? This is HW history in the making and there is no way I could miss this! I might even drag my significant other along – he has a big truck we could haul some stuff away in! 😉

        Hey, we need new granite countertops, and since Theresa keeps her house so “cleansy” I guess they’ll be in good shape!

      • Kokuanani says:

        I’d watch out for the pack of rabid dogs at the auction!!

    • Wendy says:

      Laura, you must go. Please report back! I want to know if Danielle buys some stuff.

      • Laura aka Just done says:

        OK, good news is I’m going. Better news is that my son will be with his Dad that day, so I can either (a) go alone or (b) bring the b/f with the big truck. If I bring him, he’s pretty good about playing along and will takes tons of pics. He’s also a shopper and loves these auction things.

        First question answered..I’m going. Next question for you guys: Do I bring him or leave him home?

        • boston02127 says:

          @Laura—If your b/f saves orphans and homeless kittens from burning buildings on weekends, tell him he’ll need to take off the 22nd. He has a truck!

        • Duchess of Dryer Lint says:

          OMG if you do not go I will be madder than a hatter in a heat wave! pics and blog are a must. And get her to autograph something, anything–:)

          • Duchess of Dryer Lint says:

            Then again, thinking it through, they will probably not be there. It will be court appointed liquidators paid out of the proceeds. But a girl can dream……..

        • WindyCityWondering says:

          Bring him, you may need a bodyguard, just saying!

      • HD says:

        That would be the biggest slap in the face if Danielle went. I couldn’t help myself. If I was Danielle I would be there in a beautiful Grinch that Stole Christmas outfit, as only she can wear and buy something. I would have to!

        • kats2 says:

          Ok get the Baby High Heel shoes.

          IF Danielle actually went, she would be my favorite HW of all time.

    • Snarkella says:

      Don’t forget your camera! “And bring your pom poms!” LOL. Sorry, can’t remember who wrote that but I’m still chuckling over it.

      • Laura aka Just done says:

        “Pom Poms?” LOL…a little too old for that. What I would love love love? To buy out the crystal that Teresa says she LOVES so much! How great would that be? On my way out, I’ll ask her for her bellini recipe!

        • cusi77 says:

          I was thinking of that! The only thing I like in her house are those “Gucci” glasses… The rest might be tacky… be prepared…

    • WindyCityWondering says:

      Hell yeah! Take pictures too!
      I’m jealous cause I would sure like some of those “cheap” kitchen appliances…. and I could buy all those baby outfits for a new boutique – Divas & Hookers R Us.

      • jezzibel says:

        yes and see if you can get pics of Tereas and Joe’s faces as their tacky tat is being auctioned away

    • twoile says:

      Absolutely & take pictures:) You may want to get there early, bring lunch etc……I would expect there will B quite an interest b c of all the HWNJ stuff.

    • Squirrels says:

      Be sure to bring your camera, just in case Theresa is caught trying to sneak a lamp out the back door.

    • Jules says:

      Yes, it is an absolute must. We need to know, and you can make it happen.

  28. boston02127 says:

    Jacqueline’s Tweet: Welcome to Twitter. :0) It’s addictive, be careful. I’m actually on the treadmill right now, why am I on Twitter?

    Lol- she could hardly waddle through the country club parking lot with heels on.
    For some reason I doubt she’s tweetin and running at the same time.

  29. I guess this post could apply to me- I detest RHONJ but watch every week just to see what awful things they all do next. Then I delight in going over every second of the show making snarky comments about them all and grabbing screen shots of their outrageous behavior. It’s a dirty job but somebody has to do it- ROFLMFAO I will admit, I’m looking forward to the end of this season of NJ. And really, how can they top the brawl at the country club? Unless they have an episode of Teresa and Joe fractically hiding the mansion’s contents before the big yard sale?

    • WindyCityWondering says:

      Oh, butter my butt and call me a biscuit! There will be courthouse drama ahead! Can it top the country club stampede? Maybe – they are after all, the masters of disasters.

    • Snarkella says:

      You sound like my kinda lady ROH. Isn’t that the whole point of reality tv? To give us something to laugh at from a safe distance. We get to be snarky without the guilt, because the objects of our attention are getting paid to be public spectacles.

      Sorry Housewives. You cashed the checks.

      Of course, some of the ladies are lovely and earn our affection and respect. So I guess the moral of the story is, you shouldn’t sign-up for reality tv if you’re a lying, dumb-ass.

      • I just can’t help it. I never knew hating could be so much fun until RHONJ came along. It gives me solace, though, when the NJ crew tweets that they feel sorry for us haters. Their pity makes me feel better

  30. boston02127 says:

    I think I typed “bye” about an hour ago. I’ve gotten absolutely nothing done today. It’s so hot to clean. Lol, if you were sitting beside me, you’d look at me like I had two heads. I have the a/c’s cranking. I’m just looking for excuses to be lazy today.

  31. Wendy says:

    Yippee! We have our own news correspondent. Laura bring a camera man with you (maybe Danny the bodyguard will be available too)
    Now let’s check in with Laura who is standing by at the Guidice auction…shot of Laura with her pom poms standing next to her truck full of slabs of marble, granite, onyx, leopard print pillows and tacky hats! LOL

    • Laura aka Just done says:

      I’ll take plenty of pics, and I’ll bring Greg along so that he can take them too. Heck, maybe I’ll use my cellphone and just e-mail them straight to Lynn so she can post while I’m at the auction! This is going to be a trip. Funny thing is, he asked what I wanted to do for that weekend (maybe go to A.C.), wait until I tell him!

  32. boston02127 says:

    I think Jacqueline reads this blog. She just posted a pic of herself on the treadmill.
    http://yfrog.com/bh5t9kj (big knees)

    JAC–IT’S LUNCH TIME, YOUR BOYS ARE HUNGRY. PUT DOWN THE TWEETER.

    • Duchess of Dryer Lint says:

      IN A SKIRT? Well, there is the proof. Listen, as a curvy woman myself, I can say with confidence that running in a skirt is just feasable. Those thighs would be rubbing together so fast and furious a forest fire would ignite in the bush if you get my drift (sorry for the graphics). No one with hips and thighs like that would work out in a skirt! She is showing the bottom half because the top half has a glass of wine and a phone attached.

    • tlm says:

      She’s on the treadmill in a skirt??!?

  33. The Woodsy Gene

    New Blog! again, thanks for the input. comments are always welcome and My mom (the princess) is now chiming in!

    • WindyCityWondering says:

      You are creating such a beautiful tapestry of family stories – love em!

  34. nancy says:

    Please post the link saying that there is an auction today at Miss-No-Forhead’s house.

  35. nancy says:

    Thank you. Read that today,also. Knew it was not today.

  36. Laura aka Just done says:

    Is it just me, or does anyone else think it’s pure karma what is happening to the Giudice’s right now? After Teresa’s comments about not being able to live in someone’s “old” house because they were not “cleansy,” to Dina’s denial via Twitter that they were in foreclosure, even to Gia’s comment that she was too “pretty” to work. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t like to see people who are down and out. BUT – when you look down at other people and their lifestyles because they don’t match up to the one you “pretend” to have…karma can be a bitch!

    • Char212 says:

      I agree completely! And couldn’t happen to a better person imo. Unless of course is was Jill 🙂

    • WindyCityWondering says:

      It would be easy to pity them if there was something humble or contrite about them – but they are over the top, materialistic, uneducated, unethical and mean as snakes – so Karma can have a field day with them and hopefully will leave alittle for poetic justice and twisted irony to munch on too.

      • Wendy says:

        I agree. They deserve this. Alot of people have financial problems for reasons beyond their control. Job loss. Illness. These two just kept spending and spending beyond their means. I can only imagine the domino effect this has on the people they owe. Not getting paid millions of dollars would certain hinder their ability to pay their bills and so on and so on.
        Teresa and Joe are selfish, horrible people.

        • WindyCityWondering says:

          you are so right – do you wonder how many other people’s lives they have damaged because of how they went about creating their lifestyle?

          • Laura aka Just done says:

            I read a post on another blog (don’t remember which one) but the person claimed that her husband was one of the contractors who was owed money…to the tune of $190K. She said they live a modest lifestyle, and that money is important to their family. That is probably what is so insulting to me. There must be so many similar stories.

            • Quincy IL says:

              I always wonder where the people in the know of these stars are. I live near Hannibal, Mo., there have to be people that I know who knew Alexis from OC.

    • Scorpiosue says:

      What completely angers me is the Giudice’s trying to hide assets like the profits from the book, pizzeria, etc. I want them to face the law and if that means they are prosecuted to be it. There are so many dirty fingerprints on everything they touch.

      • Quincy IL says:

        I read that Joe signed someone else’s name to contracts too. It had something to do with taking out a mortgage on one property to pay the mortgage on another. If it’s true, Joe might go to prison and Teresa will take the girls to the jail to see him in matching outfits.

        • Scorpiosue says:

          Quincy, it’s completely true. Joe lost that court case. He signed his partners name on a $1 million mortgage and pocketed the money.

      • Squirrels says:

        Somehow I think the Court appt. Trustee isn’t too pleased either. Fortunately for the American public, what he says DOES matter.

  37. nancy says:

    Laura,

    GO GO GO Please bring something for all of us. Fake boobs, tomato sauce, ( as long as it’s not ” time of month ” )

    • Laura aka Just done says:

      LOL LOL – I’m going Nancy. I’ll take pics, try to get the Gucci glasses and leave the marble and onyx to the creditors! I think Boston needs a beanbag, I’ll do my best. You made a good point though, tomato sauce. Maybe to get out of debt, Teresa should start a business making tomato sauce, no?

      • WindyCityWondering says:

        Then we will have to add tomato thieves to their resume! Ah, they just fell offa the trucks officer…

      • No Way she can do that. The Manzo’s are selling their own tomato sauce from the brownstone, there is no way in hell she would risk her relationship with them—hell she may be moving into their house soon!

  38. moriasheehan says:

    Laura, check and see if her new “bubbies” are for sale

    • Quincy IL says:

      Do they make you sell the wardrobe? Think of all the sunglasses that we could buy.

      • Laura aka Just done says:

        ooohhh Quincy! I love sunglasses. What about her $400 worth of jewelry. Wonder if they’ll be selling that.

        • WindyCityWondering says:

          Everything they haven’t hidden will go in an estate auction – many sales of this type even include fixtures (sinks, faucets, lights, doors, window treatments, etc).

  39. Buffywood says:

    Crap Laura, I had no idea how far her house is from Avalon. I will have to let you know if I will be able to make it. There is a big surf contest going on that weekend so I know I will have company in town, but I will let you know if I cna make the trip. Damn it is tempting.

    • Laura aka Just done says:

      yeah, it is far from you…I’m only 20 minutes away…how can I miss it?

    • tlm says:

      Buffywood, do you mean Avalon NJ? What contest?

      • Buffywood says:

        Yep, do you know Avalon? The Brendan Borak. It is held every year to rasie money for Pediatric Cancer in honor of a local that died of the diesase when we were young. It is a great time! My daughter used to surf in it when she was little.

  40. Laura aka Just done says:

    Another question to throw out there: When is the filming of the reunion show, and does anyone think that Andy Cohen will mention all of this to Teresa? On WWHL she stated that it was her husband’s business, when we all know that Teresa is in the thick of this? Also, will Andy go after Teresa on the Reunion Show like he went after Danielle last year? Just sayin’

    • WindyCityWondering says:

      I think his blog said 2-3 weeks until taping the reunion. IMO he will not question her on the legal troubles even though she chose to make remarks on both the RHONJ during filming and last week live on WWHL. Andy is stupid – dumbzilla could toss the couch at him! lol

  41. Smompy says:

    Great post, Lynn. I couldn’t agree more – and this feels like a good time to rant a little:)

    At this point I’ve begun to truly hate the Bethenny haters. I mean I really, really HATE them. I wouldn’t care much about them if they just hated her and therefore avoided watching her show, or even if they created a Bethenny Sucks website and confined their nonsense to that location, but they don’t. No, they have to try to ruin it for anyone else, who DOESN’T happen to hate Bethenny, by incessantly bitching about every single thing she does or says, and when they run out of real material they just start making up nasty rumors (claiming that Jason moved out, for instance). It’s incredibly annoying that those of us who really like Bethenny and enjoy her show can’t talk about it on the interwebs without a rabid pack of haters jumping in and, often, taking over the entire conversation. Every once in a while I check on TWop’s thread for BGM, and even though it’s always been a largely hater-driven thread, more and more posters who like the show starting voicing their opinions as time went on so it was somewaht enjoyable to read. But of course the haters always form a gang and flood the place with lies and vitriol, And I swear it seems like the goderators there (Strega or TWoP Coward)do everything in their power to make sure it stays that way. If someone claimed that Bethenny tried to stab Jason on their honeymoon, that’d be fine, but if anyone else refuted that statement, it’ll probably be removed and the “offending” poster would be warned or banned by TWoP. This TWoP Coward person keeps pinning new posts up to tell people what he wants them to say and how they should say it. If people don’t act like his puppets, their posts mysteriously start to disappear. I’ve seen this happen again and again and again. It’s bizarre!

    And forget about that freeforums thread for BGM. I posted there just once because I quickly saw the way the wind was blowing, but now I keep getting emails from the administrator asking me to come back and post because “we miss you.” No thank you. That place isn’t “largely” populated by Bethenny haters or “mostly” populated by Bethenny haters. It’s 100%, exclusively, no exceptions populated by hardcore, obsessive, raging Bethenny haters. Literally, every single thing they post there is completely negative and hateful. It always leaves me scratching my head and wondering why the hell these people keep watching Bethenny so closely when they clearly hate her SO MUCH!

    For me though, the most annoying thing about the haters is that most of the complaints I read about Bethenny are things that are supposed or assumed about her rather than anything she really did or said. Sometimes they’re deliberate lies too. I’ve read the claim several times that Bethenny deliberately refused to eat during her pregnancy because she despises all fat people, and so it’s her own fault the baby was premature. Oh, and unless Jason steps in, Bethenny will probably starve her daughter to death. The haters express “genuine concern” about this possibility. I’ve read that Bethenny is a total bitch because she refused to thank poor Shawn for all the hard work he did planning her wedding (even though she thanked him on the air). I’ve read that Bethenny didn’t actually know any of her “friends” who were at the wedding…including her maid of honor. They are all actors, paid to attend because Bethenny allegedly has no friends in real life. I’ve read that it’s clear that Jason loves Bethenny (even though he is obviously gay) but it’s just as clear that she loathes him. The haters say it’s very easy to tell this by the way she looks at him with complete indifference or downright contempt (huh???). I’ve read that Bethenny laughs every time Cookie bites anyone because she’s mean that way. Oh, and she will probably encourage Cookie to bite Bryn too. And the list goes on and on. It’s always so ridiculous.

    Anyway, this is why I’m so grateful for the existence of this blog! This place and tvgasm.com are the only sites I know of that aren’t overrrun by OCD type Bethenny haters. Everybody here may not love the show quite as much as I do, but I know that some weird, irrational hatred of Bethenny will never rule this site – Thank God. And thank Lynn!

    Duchess of Dryer Lint, I agreed with your take on that little squabble during March Madness. I liked that Jason had a calming influence on her when she was starting to flip out a little (although what he said felt like a bit of a low blow to me), but I thought it was messed up that he didn’t just answer her damn question in the first place. I really don’t think she would have gotten so worked up if he’d simply done that. It was a simple question. She was pregnant, hormonal, trying to finish a book and plan a wedding in a very short timespan, and she just wanted to know his thoughts on the menu. I say FUCK March Madness, Jason. Pay attention to your pregnant wife and answer the friggin’ question already! I’ve been maried for much longer than those two, and in my house “the game is on” is not an excuse for ignoring an important question. I have been known not only to unplug the TV at such moments but also to take a pair of scissors and snip the plug right off. He is not allowed to ignore me just because “the game is on” and I am not allowed to ignore him just because “this is a really good Lifetime movie I’m watching here!” But that said, I still heart Jason:)

    Hey btw, did anybody read the Star’s interview with Bethenny’s mom yet?

  42. Quincy IL says:

    Are they filming NYC RH already? I did a google search and saw an OK magazine article that said that Jill and Alex went to the same condo complex open house and avoided each other.

    • Laura aka Just done says:

      No filming yet, they haven’t even asked any of them back yet as far as I know.

      Silex do wonderful, informative, breezy interviews! They are authentic and have no interest in gossiping. Found it very interesting that Bravo does alot of research (blogs, articles, etc) to determine the cast line up….and for those ladies who have said they are coming back…there is nothing to come back to yet! Just another reason to hate Jill Zarin. Bravo can trade her in for a newer, more interesting and upbeat model!

  46. Ellabean says:

    Commenting on a good Kelly’s brain analysis thread way back to this morning (Boston, Olivia, Error – ) but thought I’d drop it here. I always think that if I am replying to a much earlier convo – that no one will see it…? Never sure what to do ….;)

    Regarding Kelly’s apparent lack of friends and the theories why:

    Error says:
    “I think she really wanted to be Robin to Gilles Batman, but instead found herself alone in the bat cave too much.”

    Dying here, error. Dying. LOL !

    But you are onto something with this:
    “Social situations seem to make her uncomfortable. Kiki does everything half-ass including her relationships.” Yes! Recall the lateness to events . And the pattern of early departures form events (hi-pitched ‘we gotta go’ byeeee)

    Agreed on the lack of real friends – and those trips and outings(Vegas etc) are for the most part PAID gigs. So I think that for the most part that these are colleagues in the biz and/ or just acquaintances.

    BUT! I am still of the thinking that our Kelly has mild Aspergers. There clearly is a lack of social skills and appropriate emotions. Without appropriate emotions – you cannot connect with others, deeply. Thus the lack of real friends and gal pals. Yes, yes, I know – combined with the other issues: narcissism, maybe drugs – we’ve all reviewed and seen them. But the Aspie syndrome and the signs- I shake my head – there’s somethin’ there.

    In sum: Just like Kelly ‘mimics’ Bethenney and we’ve joked about her’ stalkerness’ – what that is truly an example of is Kelly is tying to mimic: people being – well, people – normal. How to act. How to do things. How to live – rather than live. She so desperately wants to be thought of as a “NY Tastemaker” – an artist, a doer, someone who creates. Someone who things of things first. But she is NOT. She copies everything.

    Regarding emotions, she copies when its appropriate to laugh, etc. This girl has ‘coasted’ through humanness. She’s covered it up well for 42 years. She doesn’t have a label for what is ‘off’ about her own personality – but I think she privately knows that something is. I will bet she has a list of failed relationships: gal pals, boyfriends, etc.

    Hang on here, stay with me: the ultimate irony is, because she mimics emotions and cannot ‘feel’ them – she is not authentic.

    Her dysfunction actually fascinates me.

  47. cusi77 says:

    Do not “smack” me for telling you… I am feeling sorry for the Giudices… The only place they can afford to eat out now is “COSTCO” free samples

    • LMAO! I just came from there and had “lunch” while I was shopping! LOL LOL LOL!

    • OneMoreinBoston says:

      What I think is so interesting is all of the ManzoMob as well as Theresa badmouth Danielle and how crazy and dangerous she is-remember Caroline warning that “this is not someone to let into our lives?” yet Theresa’s downfall is all of her and her husband’s own making.

      As my mother used to say- give some people enough rope and they hang themselves.

      Ironically, Danielle had NOTHING to do with it and is moving along with her own life, yet she was the person that they all presented as being so vindictive and evil, that they were all afraid of her.

      I’m not saying Danielle is a saint, but it seems to me when she reacts to them, it’s a situation that they instigated to torment her. She’s just so OVER THE TOP when she defends herself that she loses the sympathy card.

      I find myself sympathizing with her anyway, despite the sex tape (yes I saw it-good gawd) the stripper past, the escort mentality, the “loose” behavior. I believe she was sexually molested as a child or young adult and just doesn’t seem to have the boundries she should.

      That is what made Dina so uncomfortable with her in the first season “I don’t know if she wants to wear me like last season’s Versace”-her unhealthy fascination with all things Manzo. When really I think all she wanted was to fit into the large Italian family she never had.

      sad…

  48. Squirrels says:

    lol. they won’t be able to afford the Costco card to even get in the doors

  49. WindyCityWondering says:

    @Ellabean – you are not alone in your frustration regarding Kelly, her behavior, her version of what the world is supposed to be, how she relates to other people, or unfortunately, what is really wrong with her! BUT she chose to put herself on television and is truly incapable of defending herself from herself. She is inarticulate, she is immature and she is frustrated by the fact that not everyone adores her.
    What I find sad is that maybe she believes that if she dresses like, talks like, and acts like a teenager – then she is one. We know she is a 42 year old, who used to model, married a celebrity in that world and then lost it all. Now she “plays” at being a mother, a tastemaker, a designer, an innovator – and has not gotten the validation or success she wanted. That has to hurt so she fills herself with white noise.

    IMO – she is both a loner and a lonely person and will be so the rest of her life. On the bright side, she has created a world in which she can happily exist – it’s when she leaves that world that she gets in trouble. She can gallop along side Jill to her heart’s content until Jill decides she has had enough of or no use for the prancing ponygirl. Bravo, if they do their due diligence will not invite Kelly back for another season of RHONY because she didn’t do any of the things she claims they hired her to do and because the show’s fans do not like her. And while I do hate Jill Zarin, I feel sorry for Kelly, wish her well and don’t want to see her on RHONY next season.

    • Ellabean says:

      Thanks for your input Windy – very well thought out and explained about Kelly. (My post was so dis-jointed now that I re-read it the next day. Yikes).
      These points were so right on:

      “She is inarticulate, she is immature and she is frustrated by the fact that not everyone adores her.”

      “… she has created a world in which she can happily exist – it’s when she leaves that world that she gets in trouble.”

      • jezzibel says:

        The part about Kelly that makes the hair on the back of my neck standup…what is she going to be like when her kids are in their late teens and early 20’s and she’s pushing her 50s….her kids won’t fit in that world of gummibears and lollipops that she created for herself.

        How is she going to react when they don’t want her to hang out with them and their friend, when they want to do their own thing without their embarassing mother. Both kids seem rather smart and articulate, so how is Kelly going to respond to her semi-adult children in a fight? I don’t know if we will ever find out…but the prospect does unsettle me somewhat.

    For me, the most telling things Kelly ever said on the St. John trip were, ” In my defense, that’s what makes people craaaaaaazzzy about me. You know why? Because, I don’t want to hear all the nonsense.”

    “Delusions of grandeur for 100 please Alex”. She is convinced that A) people are craaaaazzy about her, as in everyone she tosses a phony smile toward and B) all those people who love her, live in her type of world as well. Personally, I think she’s been placated all her life, i.e. spoiled foking rotten.

    Next up –

    “I’m not acknowledging that… (insert blah blah here)… There is no conversation. Welcome to Bethenny’s world of like, how people like, are asking about her.”

    This is extremely telling. Now, we know that one phone convo w/ Zarin dealt with Zarin advising Kelly to stay away from the evil Bethenny, but that wasn’t until they hit the villa. Could it be Kelly is making up the “all Jill keeps asking is if Bethenny is well” bit like she faked concern that B was overdoing it in the kitchen? Orrrrrrrr, could it be that Zarin did in fact over the first few days of the trip ask how B was doing health or otherwise?

    At some point, did Kelly flip because she so desires to have the power in life or at least on the show that B has, not to mention Jill’s apparent obsession with B? To drive her point home, she concocts a Bethenny is trying to kill me Jill phone scenario, please come to my rescue. Be my friend. (What she may not have counted on was being escorted off the island before Jill arrived. Dohhhhh. Missed it by THAT much.)

    To me, the latter is the more likely. Zarin fanned the flames whether or not she realized it.

    We may never get an answer until Bravo sells the out takes during a fire sale, yet it remains one of those things that make you go hmmmm.

    • Need a Hobby says:

      “I’m not acknowledging that.” Add that to other Kellyisms I’m adopting in real life. In addition to “white noise” and “I’m dialing you down to 2.” And of course the classic, “Al Sharpton!”

      No doubt Jill added to Kelly’s already evident underlying paranoia in regards to Bethenny. But Jill probably didn’t fully realize, just as the others didn’t, how closely Kelly verges on the edge at times. Kelly can cover for it in her hit and run contacts but prolonged proximity where she couldn’t just split was more than she could handle, whatever was going on with her.

      What is reprehensible, however, is that after hearing the reports from the island, knowing that Kelly was sent back to NYC by the production company because she had gone over the edge, & seeing the video for herself, Jill continues to act as if Kelly’s behavior was an appropriate response to a situation rather than evidence of a seriously disturbed individual. Jill supports Kelly in her delusions because it suits Jill to do so and fits her agenda.

      And seriously, if Jill really had people far more “fabulous” to hang out with other than Kelly Killoren Bensimon, does anyone doubt that we’d see pics and tweets from Jill about that instead of Kelly?

    This was in the NY Daily news in 2009, I never knew this so I thought I’d post it:

    Sisters Dina and Caroline Manzo married a pair of Jersey brothers. Their father-in-law, Albert (Tiny) Manzo, was executed mob-style in August 1983, after he and Gambino family soldier Peter A. Campisi were suspected of skimming from a mob casino on Staten Island. “A couple of weeks later, they found Tiny Manzo in the trunk of his car,” recalled Robert Buccino, a New Jersey organized crime expert. The 350-pound mobster took four slugs to his torso. His naked body – the arms and legs bound in plastic – was discovered in the trunk of his parked Lincoln-Continental outside a supermarket in Hillside, N.J. The killing was never solved. Campisi, a made man and Tiny’s partner in the casino, suffered a similar fate, Buccino recalled. The colorful Manzo, who ran for mayor of Paterson in 1974, also owned the Brownstone Restaurant. His two wealthy sons, Albert and Tommy, still operate the venerable Paterson catering facility. They all live in pricey Franklin Lakes, an exclusive enclave that’s home to a pair of New York sports legends – Phil Simms and Willie Randolph – and disgraced ex-NYPD boss Bernie Kerik.

    • kats2 says:

      Yep this is why it’s so hard to believe or support the higher ground Caroline and crew takes against Danielle. This info came out during season 1 and Andy brought it up at the s1 reunion. They didn’t have much to say about it but said the mob stuff was not true.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

        Exactly! Caroline got all weepy in an interview when talking about Tiny’s unsolved murder – the devil is in the details! And there was some difficulty getting the insurance company to pay out on Tiny’s policy. They want to be seen as respectable business owner/pillar of the community.

    Why would someone spend valuable time watching someone they hate and then write a blog tearing them down?
    Some people can not stand the good fortune of others. These are the same people whose eyes light up when they hear about a neighbors divorce. And grumble when they reconcile. At heart they are bitter about their own lot in life. They think that everything good that comes to others is luck. They discount any hard work or creativity involved. They are too timid to seize the opportunities that come their way and resent when other people take those same opportunites and run with them.

    • boston02127 says:

      It doesn’t bother me when someone spends valuable time watching someone they hate and then writes a blog about it. We all have people we love to hate.

      What bothers me is those who have to make crap up. Watching RHONY and then honestly pointing out Jill’s bad tactics both on and off the show is one thing. Watching RHONY and then detailing fictitious crap about Bethenny’s “failing” marriage, etc. is completely different.

      If you don’t like Bethenny and you want to make catty remarks about her, fine – but if you have to make stuff up just to be negative towards Bethenny, then, seriously, you are nothing more than a wannabe tabloid writer waiting for your big chance to write about aliens visiting the US Senate and demanding to be taken to our leader.

      Crap journalism is crap journalism, whether it is on a blog or in the “News of the World” alongside the story of the man who lost 400 pounds and now weighs only 510.

      (And by “you”, I don’t mean anyone here…just a generic term.)

    Been away for several days, so I’m doing a general catchup.

    The “fight” on RHONJ: Seriously, I never thought I would ever side with Danielle, but I really don’t think she was in the wrong…at least, not completely. Yes, she did act like a total ass during the fashion show, and, yes, she should have just walked away from Theresa…but you know and I know that it was a complete setup by Bravo and Theresa. And Theresa’s “I’m from Patterson, bitch” tough goil act was ridiculous. Tell you what, T – haul your little chinchilla clad butt down to Harlem or South Central LA, and after you’ve survived there for a week, you can come back and tell the whole world how tough you are, m-kay? Better yet, give Glitter Gulch in Vegas a try. You’d be mistaken for a prostitution whore within seconds.

    Ashley: Well, she deserved whatever legal punishment she got. The only thing that stunned me was that the cops didn’t haul her ass off to jail the same night-but I think Bravo and Danielle’s hysterics had something to do with that. Putting your hands on someone-regardless of whether it is to yank their weave or punch them in the face-is assault. Pure and simple. And I gotta say, I think Chris was spot on in telling Ashley off, but it was too little, too late. Parenting isn’t retroactive, dude.

    Did Danielle overreact? Yeah, I think she did, but getting your hair yanked out hurts, for one thing, and the fact remains that Theresa, Jacqueline, and Ashley pursued her-not the other way around-so it would have been surprising if someone as melodramatic as Danielle didn’t overreact.

    Theresa’s bankruptcy fraud: Well, if it is true, then I hope the courts deny the bankruptcy. She and Juicy Joe are such slime, they’re barely worth even commenting on.

    Bethenny’s honeymoon episode was great! Loved it…and the iguana poop had me laughing so hard.

    Kelly’s Tweets: Gotta agree that she seems like a very lonely, sad person. Don’t have much sympathy for her, though. Her arrogance is still repugnant.

    • cusi77 says:

      Very well put together, Desert. We miss you btw…

    • I think the set up was done by the Kims and Bravo. Teresa is always spoiling for a confrontation.

    • BamaBelle says:

      Hey DesertGal,

      Are you the one who’s son was in a car accident? Sorry if it wasn’t you, I was just wondering since some said they have missed you.

      I think “The Kims and Teresa” set Danielle up. It all adds up, another poster a few days ago laid it out perfectly. Here’s my version… Danielle thought she and Kim D. were friends, she had been telling her everything Teresa and Ashley had been doing. Danielle finds out Kim D. is befriending them and ends her relationship with Kim D. Kim D. had already planned the fashion show and the seating chart with Teresa and Jacqueline at her table, with Ashley walking in the show. Seating Kim G., Danielle and her friends at a table right next to them so they would have to look at each other.

      When Danielle left Posche that day, she said she wouldn’t be back in, you could tell Kim D. could care less and told Danielle, “Fine-then leave if that’s what you want”. Uh Oh-now what are they going to do? How can they lure Danielle to the fashion show? Kim D. swallowed her pride, bit her tongue and called Danielle to apologize-saying, “I’m sorry, we can work this out. I consider you a good friend and customer, please come to the Fashion Show-I want you there!” Danielle said she was willing to work on their friendship/trust issues and agreed to attend.

      Harry drove Kim G. and Danielle to the fashion show. As they walked in, Danielle had no idea that Teresa and Jacqueline would be all cozied up to Kim D. and Ashley would be walking the show while Danielle’s daughter wasn’t even asked!… Hmmmm? Smells like a set-up to me. This didn’t seem to surprise Kim G.

      Teresa didn’t get the reaction from Danielle she thought they would. They thought she would flip-out, start a fight, and Teresa and Jacqueline thought they could get Danielle arrested. That’s why Teresa went in the hall and waited for Danielle… Teresa started the shit, she had just told Kim D. that she couldn’t be friends with anybody who was friends with Danielle, then all of a sudden Teresa decides since she’s such a nice person that she wants to say “hello” to Danielle?… No way! Teresa was hoping she could get Danielle mad enough to pick a fight with her.

      It was Kim. G. who encouraged Danielle to talk to Teresa, said she thought Teresa was trying to be nice (gag)… it was Kim G. who brought her over to Teresa when Danielle was leaving. After Teresa started the fight, and was chasing Danielle… it was Kim G. who was walking with her to her car when Ashley got the cheap shot it. Danielle got to Kim G.’s car, but had to stay and stay, even after Teresa stood in front of her car and refused to move-demanding Danielle come out and talk to her. Kim G. still had not told Harry to take Danielle home… Danielle was at the mercy of Kim G.-it was up to her when to tell Harry to leave. There was no reason for Kim G. to keep Danielle there that long. The police probably wouldn’t have been called there if Kim G. had told Harry to take Danielle home as soon as they got in the car.

      Why was Kim G.’s purse in the Country Club when she had it with her when they were walking out to leave? Why did she leave it inside? Danielle still had her purse with her while she was running to the car.

      Danielle thought Kim G. got out of the car to defend her-NO! She went back in the Club and talked to Teresa and Jacqueline. She even talked to Ashley. She agreed with Teresa and Jacqueline that Danielle wasn’t whatever it was they said. Then Kim G, gets in the car and comforts Danielle like she’s a true friend… Gag… Gag… Gag!

      Teresa wanted Danielle arrested, she set her up with both Kim’s helping. Yeah, I’m sure Kim D. did the fashion show for several reasons… camera time… free advertizing… and to cause DRAMA! They set it up for Bravo to film… maybe Bravo even paid for the use of the Country Club and to cater the event. But, I don’t think they told anybody want to say or do… this is what I believe happened and all involved should be ashamed of themselves… if it wasn’t for Bravo filming the show-I think Ashley and maybe Teresa would of gone to jail that night! That’s what should of happened!

      The only way I’ll watch a season~3 is if Teresa and Joe’s money issues and lies are exposed. If Teresa doesn’t want that-then she should LEAVE the show. Isn’t that was Jacqueline said? If Danielle didn’t like it, she could leave!

      I find it so ironic that Teresa has done nothing but talk about how poor Danielle is and how she should get a job… what a liar Danielle was/is. Seems like Miss Teresa is reaping what she sowed!

      • WindyCityWondering says:

        None of these women are blameless in the country club fiasco -but all of them are very bad actresses – it’s like watching a home movie of semi-drunk relatives trying to make the film interesting….. the Kims need to go or we need to see another side of their silly lives outside of trying to stir the pot. Teresa and Jacq are their own worse enemies – they have no common sense! Teresa was supposed to bring the drama but looked like a street whore. Jacq couldn’t controll either her best friend or her juvenile delinquent daughter. Danielle does bring the drama and the stampede in the country club was alittle scary (all those innocent bystanders) but the carnage and cops was pointless. But it was funny watching Teresa and Jacq waddle/run (spanxs and tight dresses are not what one wears to a psuedo cat fight)!!
        Also Caroline is not a very good matriarch – she stirs in her own way and to think any of the other women would listen to her sage advice is a stretch.
        RHONJ has no dynamics: none of these women are interesting – they can’t get along and I am not one to sit and waste my time watching or listening to grownups act like teenagers. They all act like they are better than each other and they all care about their materialistic trappings (Teresa’s housewarming party was what I would expect for say New Year’s Eve) and instead of truly caring about others (the fundraiser at the Brownstone) or their children’s lives (Gia can’t act, dance, walk a catwalk or behave and watching her was painful). And the husbands are no better!

        Alex said in a recent interview that Bravo was becoming the Housewives Channel – too much of anything gets boring. So While DC and Beverly Hills come online it might be a good time to deep six NJ(nasty) and OC(boring) plus do a retool to NY (get rid of Kelly and Jill).

It is way overpriced which you need to beware, and the natives can definitely be rude to Americans. Take that for what it’s worth. Also, the clothes are beautiful, yet also too expensive. A lot of what I wore was from Old Navy. Visit http://www.bethenny.com to see where I bought everything else.”

    She shops at Old Navy! She can buy and has super expensive clothes yet she still shops at Old Navy…I know it’s stupid but I love this about her.

    • DesertGal says:

      I also love that Bethenny isn’t embarrassed to say that she shops at Old Navy. I would definately go if I lived nearby. I would be so curious as to what’s up for auction, I couldn’t stand it. Plus, isn’t everybody looking for good deal? You may be able to get something at a good price… Hahahahahahaha! If camera’s aren’t allowed take your cellphone if it has a camera, I’m sure you can sneak in some good shots.

    Also, don’t they put out some kind of notice, listing what’s for sale in the house and what’s not? Maybe they’ll even have a preview day before the auction itself? I don’t think Teresa, Joe or any of their family members will be allowed there that day.

    But, I seriously doubt if there will be much left to auction. I would think Teresa and Joe have already hauled off “the good stuff”! Doesn’t her house look empty this season? It seemed to have more furniture last year, I’m sure they’ve probably hid the best stuff trying to hide it from bankrupcy court.

    I don’t understand how anyone could think that they could bankrupt on millions and it’s just wiped out, a clean slate, without having to give-up their assets to satisfy debts!

    • Squirrels says:

      anyone know?

      • Scorpiosue says:

        I would think that the items have already been catalogued. Depending on the auction house they would have to take pictures for brochures, take inventory in order to price the start of the bids. and make sure that there is not an empty house instead of actual items.

        It totally ticks me off how Teresa and Joe spent money like water i.e. huge shopping trips (even Jacqueline said before the luncheon with Caroline that Teresa is always shopping, spending astronomical amounts on furniture, ATV for Gia, etc. It really shows the greedy American at it’s worst.

        • WindyCityWondering says:

          Find out the name of the auction firm – they would likely have a website where you can view items for bid – it could even be online auction as well.
          Usually there is a viewing period – sometimes it is just a couple of hours before the auction begins, sometimes it is the day prior to the sale. It might also be in the local newspaper too.

        When did the banruptcy court decide to auction off the valuables? If they just decide to do so after finding out The Guidices were lying about assets, then they would have time to haul off things.

        I know several people who have bankrupted and they didn’t come to their house and do an inventory of their things. They took their word on the answers they filled out. BUT-none of them were 11 million in debt, I guess that’s a different ballgame all together. I still think Teresa and Joe are crooked enough to hide their most valuable things! Shouldn’t she have to sell her jewelry? Why should creditors get stuck with millions while Teresa has jewelry worth thousands!

        I can’t wait to hear her explaination of all this because she made the biggest deal on the country club episode that her 5 million dollar house was not in foreclosure!

        • Quincy IL says:

          I’ve seen auctions for bankruptcy. They do have tables in the yard filled with personal items.

          I saw someone in Walmart one day with three shopping carts filled with large items. She told me that she hoped her credit card would work because she had just come from the court for her bankruptcy. She made it, but the whole time I thought she was a thief. She was actually happy in the parking lot. This lady and Teresa are the same kind of people.

        • WindyCityWondering says:

          To what extent the timeline plays into it – they filmed the country club last fall and the filing was in October – so it may have not been decided yet….officially. But given the size of the debt it would be a likely outcome that the mansion would go to satisfy debtors. IMO, the mansion would not be considered the homestead house (one they lived in longest and therefore the one they would be allowed to keep – providing they could get a mortgage) and it would be foreclosed on. SO maybe Teresa was somewhat correct in her rantings at the time of filming. HOWEVER – when she was on WWHL she totally lied because the judgement was public by then and she would have known what was happening by then!

    QUOTE (estatepro @ July 15, 2010 – 08:16 PM)
    They have surrendered everything as of today. The Trustee ordered an appraisal of all property and furnishings on 6/21/2010. It is not included. The appraisal for the McMansion was for $1,860,000 in 8/2008 by the bank. They are using this figure for the asset. I think that they must have the appraisals back and haven’t posted them that is why he gave an auction date in the newspaper.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    It says the Trustee ordered an appraisal of all property and furnishings on June 21, 2010… I bet most of the valuables were GONE by then!
    • ShyAsrai says:
      maybe not, they’ve been running around doing book signings and tv.
      ah well, at least everything shown on RHONJ is documented! LOL
  71. error404 says:
    does this make sense?
    brag about a pizza parlor, a cookbook, and other assorted assets you didn’t claim, and then while the courts are busy seizing them, you can quietly hide your real wealth now that you’ve created a decoy/distraction.
    Otherwise, you are just the world’s stupidest crook. No one could possibly be that stupid, could they?
    • ShyAsrai says:
      they could be just that stupid. look at them…. they don’t even have the brains to be humiliated!
      • Gingers poo says:
        Tv cameras recording the house and it’s contents, and her shopping sprees and bragging will make it a bit hard to hide personal valuables though. A lot is on tape.
      • WindyCityWondering says:
        I vote stupid and vanity – now that the Trustee said they lied under oath – the film from Bravo could come into play.
  72. whocares?? says:
    WOW…
    I had no idea that Bobby Zarin was 63 years old. Jill is what 47? I’m flabbergasted. He seems like a sweet man, but Im somewhat confused, because he is not attractive. Jill surely fell in love with his money.
    I am 49 years old and marrying a 63 year old is something I would not even consider.
    Kelly, Jill, and LuAnn all married older men…and they said ANNA NICOLE was a gold digger!
    • Quincy IL says:
      Sonja too. I think her husband was 70 and she was 37. That is the way you get security for a few years in NYC.
  73. Quincy IL says:
    I wonder if Jill’s Brad is a millionaire.
    http://www.focusonstyle.com/Trends/Sprinkles/Indrani-Jill-Zarin-new-ny-housewife-millionaire-matchmaker-metrosexual-hamptons-gossip
    He talks about filming for several Bravo shows. He was decorating a house when Bravo cameras came for NYC Housewives. A very rich lady handled the cameras well. Why would the very rich expose themselve to all of us? She must need money.
    • error404 says:
      a tale of two Brads *shudder*
      homosexual Brad is like the drunken one night stand love child of Liberace and Luella Parsons – the next best thing.
      metrosexual Brad looks better in the before picture.
    • Kokuanani says:
      Did you notice at the very end of Brad’s self-promotion [after all the references to his “best friend Jill Zarin] that he’s “scheduled to do the make-up for Lindsay Lohan’s next movie”?
      From the jailhouse, maybe.
      • Quincy IL says:
        Celebrities get a lot of breaks. Paris Hilton was arrested with drugs in her purse, but it won’t affect her in the long run. I think the NJ girls feel that way about Ashley. An arrest and a fine won’t affect her because she is a star now.
  74. Quincy IL says:
    Speaking of the Kardashians… I was flipping channels and saw that Fox and Friends/Sun was featuring Kim and the millions that she made last year. Then, I flipped to a 30 minute ad on the skin care line the Kardashians are endorsing.
    Kim has no education and a low IQ. Her assests (the anchors at Fox were laughing at that word) seem to be large.
  75. Denise says:
    Lynn, I totally get what you’re saying. I also hate The Kartrashians and can’t imagine sitting through a half hour or hour, however long their show is, of their crap. The mother is their manager and pimps her daughters out with no shame. And the daughters have no discernible talent other than Kim’s ability to sleep with famous athletes and show up at events and pose. They are pretty high on the loathsome scale.
    If Kim Zolciak or Teresa Giudice got their own show, the former would be an utter and complete snooze-fest and the latter a crap-fest. No, thank you.
    Analysis of the NJ girls. It’s scary and I am no psychologist, but I think my sister in law has all of those conditions. LOL… No… she’s a simple Narcissist like OJ Simpson.
    I had the 100 level survey course …. obviously, I should have taken more of those classes…LOL>
    Bethenny Frankel: Talk Show in Bethenny’s Reality TV Future?
    Could talk show host be in reality tv star Bethenny Frankel’s future? According to the site Gossip Girls, yesterday Bethenny, during a book-signing appearance at Barnes and Noble in New York City, said that in “five years”, Bethenny would like to transition from reality tv to a talk show format. Bethenny said her “show was great”–Bethenny’s Getting Married?–but Bethenny would wind up “institutionalized” if she continued to have “cameras in a reality tv format in my life for that long”. Bethenny also said her husband Jason Hoppy wanted another child, which, according to Bethenny, “was on the table”.
    • Quincy IL says:
      I think Bethenny has done a good job on the Today show, the View, and on WWHL. She should not comment on other housewives as some have suggested. They get hurt feelings and go bananas.
    Real Housewives Jill & Alex Heat Up a Hamptons Open House
    Alex McCord and Jill Zarin may not be the closest of friends on the Real Housewives of New York City anymore, but this weekend they found themselves attending the same open house party in the Hamptons! “I can tell you that you can see at this party that we are not talking to each other,” Alex explained to OK!. “We’re giving each other a wide berth.”
    full story:
    http://www.okmagazine.com/2010/07/real-housewives-jill-alex-heat-up-a-hamptons-open-house/
    This may have been posted. I didn’t see it if it was. Sorry if it was.
    • WindyCityWondering says:
      Alex said in real life (not on the show) the option to walk away or avoid another cast member can happen – hence the wide berth when Jill is present. I also liked that she said she ususally tackles problems immediately and speaks her mind in her real life – that would be welcomed on the show as well. She also stated that in season 3 their true colors came out.
      Ramona, while not a confrontational person by nature has also adopted that policy at the end of season 3 and at the reunion. Sonja will try to be tactful but she will not let bad behavior slide. If there is a season 4 and the entire cast comes back it could get pretty funny….Jill can’t fight a fair fight and after what she did to Bethenny the others will be on guard. With her ulitmatum style – Jill could find herself boxed out like Danielle….but she will have her pet pony Kelly. And dahling, I omitted LuAnn because she is so boring and I don’t care what she does or who she does it with.
  79. Denise says:
    I must comment that:
    1) I don’t twitter and
    2) I don’t understand how it’s done and
    3) Most twitter posts I see copy and pasted elsewhere seem illiterate and incomprehensible
    It doesn’t even remotely tempt me to follow the trend. Whoever you are, I do not care about your odd, meandering musings.
    • moriasheehan says:
      Denise, is bravo forcing you to twitter? 🙂
      i also find a lot of it gibberish. i do enjoy the blogs and pics posted there and sometimes, like bethenny and alex and simon, you get some nice insight.
    LYNN, GREAT BLOG.
    mickeymouth, great pic of Sonja.
    i am so hoping that theresa and joe are treated like anyone else who attempts to defraud the government and commit perjury in a bankruptcy. i would be very disappointed if they get the mel gibson, oj, lohan, etc, celebrity treatment from our court system. i worked for a non profit credit counseling agency and saw many “LEGITIMATE” people having to file for a bankruptcy. truly tragic stories!
    the guiduce’s are GARBAGE.
      Boston – I talked to the B/F and he is IN! He actually wants to go simply because the whole thing disgusts him. He thinks the more people that show, the more they will be humiliated. He told me…remember, we bid low! LOL
      This should be fun! I saw that someone else lives in NNJ who wants to go. I don’t remember who it was. Someone help me with that please.
    • cusi77 says:
      Boston__ I went to ZABASEARCH link you posted yesterday and just for fun I wrote down my name… Surprise! I have a house in Montvale, NJ. I was not aware of… btw: I am nowhere to be found as well as my husband (???)
  83. Olivia says:
    The tragedy is that there is so much interest in the Guidice’s debacle when there are people across the nation facing bankruptcy for simply losing their jobs, or have seen their healthcare benefits disappear and have had to rely on credit cards in order to obtain treatment while these two fools continually lived well beyond their means and the creditors were told “screw you!” in the bargain.
    You cannot convince me that they were “blindsided” by this financial eruption. It takes awhile to accumulate that much debt and it does not appear that Juicy Joe told his “cavewoman” wife to cease and desist from the overspending. Instead, since last summer we have been treated to watching her spend, spend, spend as a way of shoving their “fabulousness” down our throats week after week as she went from one boutique to another without regard to the costs involved.
    How much money was spent on Gia alone? Dance lessons, voice lessons, photo albums, costumes, toys, clothes, hair stylists, decorations, etc.? These efforts cost money all on their own.
    Iron gates, onyx, marble counters and floors, top of the line appliances, expensive furniture, all intended to fill up a huge house they are unable to afford in the first place does not elicit sympathy but a wave of disgust at the sheer arrogance of these two frauds. Vendors and banks were gypped and it would not surprise me to learn that some even lost jobs due to the inability of these two to reign in their spending and live within their means.
    These people are examples of the worst in society today. Stupid, uneducated, and out to impress when they do not have a nickel to their names. To offer them a free pass and declare themselves “fans” of this odious behavior illustrates that there are more people like them out there then we could have ever imagined.
    Even Bernie Madoff slunk away to prison with his head down. Not these two.
    • cusi77 says:
      Olivia__ I can help myself, the most I am disgusted with T’s arrogance denaying the truth, I can stop thinking in the 4 girls! They stole from their daughters…
  84. WindyCityWondering says:
    We have spent a fair amount of time bashing Teresa and Joe and delighting in the consequences they are now facing. The sad part is they will never understand that what they did was illegal and that lying about and hiding assets was also a crime! Or that now the IRS has a shot at them to for taxes they didn’t pay.
    They are not people who believe that the laws apply to them if they can find a way around them then they feel justified in their behavior. IMO, they filed Chap 7 Bankruptsy to stall the outcome of the already issues in court (loans, forgery, foreclosure, etc) because they would never truly qualify for that fresh start Teresa talked about. It bought them time but they didn’t use that time wisely.
    Maybe the fresh start really means that they will now have to behave like other people who have to live within their means. It’s alright to dream about being rich and living in a grand house, it is alright to dream about giving your children everything their little hearts desire. It is not alright to steal, defraud, or lie to make those dreams a reality. Unfortunately, these people will never understand that dreams are free but reality has a pricetag.
    • Capiche says:
      Well said.
    • Squirrels says:
      I wonder what their atty advised them, or even if they consulted one. If they did not seek advice or follow legal advice, they end up looking like grifters, plain and simple.
    • Maryla says:
      Doesn’t this feed into the way Teresa acted to the police officer when he asked her for ID at the fashion show? It was the height of arrogance to play dumb with a hard-working cop who was just doing his job. First she played dumb, and then denied that she had ID — even though she had her purse on her arm at the time — and then she continued her little coy act. It all points to disrespect for authority and the rules we all live by in society. I think Teresa believes those rules don’t apply to her.
  85. Ellabean says:
    Bethenny is co-hosting The View this Thursday – July 22nd.
    I know way too much about this daytiem crapfest of a show.
    That show has deteriorated into such a dumbed down women’s show (compared to the Meredith V, Star Jones, Lisa Ling years) – I actually feel bad for Bethenny making an appearance. She is better than that – better than all of them on that show. I know she can hold her own – but stand by for the View hosts to make snide remarks and belittle her – or get facts wrong know as they do zero research and are known for their laziness and known for their complete disregard for facts and truth. Quite a few bloggers have noticed that they get very few A list guests anymore (last few years).
    Bethenny ~ you’re too good for that show.
  86. Olivia says:
    Got to say I have only tuned into “The View” on rare occasions and the cast members appear to be a bunch of idiots. No matter which side of the political spectrum you choose for affiliation, these birdbrains offer up the worst of the worst by way of commentary.
    One is just now accepting that the world is actually round, one defends all things GOP, one defends all things Dem but also excuses Polanski and Gibson for their behavior, and one puts down everything in an attempt to relay humor. Meanwhile, they constantly drag Kate Gosselin, and a few other choice idiots to share the stage, and it goes even more downhill from there. And Barbara Walters succeeds in reinforcing Kathy Griffin’s account of her “majesty” when she choose to appear.
    They are horrible.
  87. ilovelynn says:
    smompy: bethenny’s mother basically denied everything. bethenny had a wonderful childhood, I do not have an eating disorder and am not an alcoholic,blah blah blah. supposidly somewhere her stepfather confirmed what bethenny said about the mother, however.
    finally had a chance to sample skinny girl margarita and it’s really good! mr. Ilovelynn liked it also, and he never liked jose carveau’s(sp too lazy to check the bottle) stuff. btw, went to see “the girl who played with fire” friday nite. terrific! watched “the girl with the dragon tatoo” from netflix last week. also great. Mr. actually stayed awake, sub-titles and all during both movies. make sure you all read the books first, though.
    • Need a Hobby says:
      In the People article, the author said that Bethenny’s mother, Bernadette, confirmed that her fights with John Parisella sometimes resulted in police being called to the house. She denied smashing things or having a drinking problem or eating disorder. John Parisella told People mag that Bernadette showed “signs of bulimia” and was a heavy drinker. He admitted once slapping Bernadette “when she was in a frenzy.”
    O/T, but it is interesting to note that although the Manzo’s appreciate Trashley “sticking up for the family” that she has not been hired to work at the Brownstone in some capacity. Waitress, busing tables, washing dishes, parking cars, hosting, whatever.
    Could it be that when it comes to kin, blood is really thicker than water and they see Trashley as the unmotivated and entitled little beast that we see? Or has she been offered a job that might prove too much for the Little Princess to manage? Like getting to work on time or holding hours that may effect her night life?
    Since apparently everyone in that family has at one time or another been employed there it just seems odd that she is not. She seems to hold a part time job somewhere and is still being supported by her parents to a large degree. Oh wait, she has an internship coming up in the Fall somewhere. And going back to school is on her schedule. Somewhere.
    • Ellabean says:
      Also, since step dad is in the ‘schmatta’ (wholesale fashion biz) – why not a job there as well?
  90. Zoey says:
    On the subject of Kellamity, I think it would be interesting to know more about her family and her past. Maybe we could understand her more… maybe? Is it possible? Then again, if the whole family is like her, we might be more confused!
    I’ve read that she is a twin (the other is a male who I heard is a lawyer) and her father who is (also) a lawyer. So I put on my amateur psychologist hat and am thinking these really deep and profound things, ha:
    1. It seems like her emotional growth was stunted somewhere in adolescence. She is stuck there. Maybe when she began to be noticed as very attractive, she was ‘the pretty’ one, and much wasn’t expected of her. She just smiled when introduced, like she does now. She never ‘developed’ a personality.
    Perhaps the attention and real expectations went to her male twin? She was a ‘good’ little girl, somewhat passive, and let the men take charge. I think she has some real anger about this, and confusion she doesn’t even know she has. Is that confusing?
    2. She married an older, controlling, belittling man (this was said here somewhere).
    Can you say father issues?
    I read this quote attributed to her father, which sounds strange to me. Basically it said – ‘She is a very beautiful girl, and not only that, she is in great physical shape’.
    Who says that?? Eww. I thought the second part, after the compliment on her looks, would be about her brain or other attribute. I suppose this is her place in the family.
    So she had no brains or personality, yet she is expected to succeed in this competitive family, so she must find a way. I also read that she was a swimmer in high school. So pretty and athletic were her roles. You can’t do a whole lot with that after high school!
    I think (here I go thinking again…) the reason we are so fascinated/ repulsed by her, is that we need a little closure, or something to make sense to us; a summary. I need an explanation, damn it!
    A book or a movie has a beginning, a middle, and an end. She messes up all the order in our universe! She can never be pinned down for an explanation, she just talks around the issue. There is never an ‘Aha!’ moment when she is caught in a lie because she changes the truth to fit her lies! Then when she is backed into a corner she throws out a ridiculous OFF topic saying that makes one forget what the original subject matter even was. Hmm, maybe not such a bad strategy. Satchels of gold…
    Another fascinating/alarming issue is that she is a mother. This most important, sacred job in the world, of raising and shaping young minds. It can be awarded to anyone who gives birth, and doesn’t totally screw that up and have the children taken away.
    So she passes the legal standard for a mother, but the moral one, with many of us as judges (right or wrong) I don’t know….It’s like exposing these poor kids (who are actually precious) to years and years of repetitive, distorted, confusing rantings. Like if you recorded your childhood and played it backwards on the fast speed….dizzying.
    Ok, enough. I’m giving myself a headache. I’m off for a stroll in the light rain. Maybe do a cartwheel or two. They’re FREE ya know!
    • Char212 says:
      Excellant post Zoey and so right on. We do need an explanation but with Kelly there is none so we are left hanging and frustrated by her. She does twist the truth to fit her lies and what’s worse, she gets away with it.
    • Ellabean says:
      Zoey, thanks so much for posting that. Good insights. I’ve also mentioned on this blog that I ‘d love to know more about her coming of age and ‘family of origin’ – and her backstory with Gilles, the courtship, the marriage, the divorce. Hmm, on the daddy issue. Interesting .
      Once more time: I fully admit to being fascinating by Kelly’s issues. It’s like a mystery story for me. I want the TRUTH ! (and I can handle it !)You offered up a plausible explanation – I do think I need some closure.
      • Ellabean says:
        I ‘d pay to see the outtakes of Scarey Island. I do hope that some producer writes a tell all someday – no – make that – writes a tell all SOON.
        • Squirrels says:
          Unfortunately, what the other women have said is the really whacko stuff happened after the cameras came down. Still, there should be some footage available.
    • error404 says:
      Kiki is quite dull and probably just another banal drunk.
      A “tell all” of scary island would probably just be more of the same. We got a taste, why bother overeating on the crazy.
      The “Obsessed” interview gives Kiki’s version of her story:
      – mom is interior designer
      – male twin got all of the attention
      – mom supported her modeling, dad not so much
      – dad pushed her to go to college because “Killoren women are scholars”, whatever that means
      – dad not happy about her not finishing college
      Kiki seems to find being called stupid the ultimate insult. Either she thinks she’s smart, or it really bothers her to be told she isn’t. She also thinks she works hard, and is insulted by all the assertions she doesn’t/didn’t.
      She doesn’t want to be dismissed as just pretty, but she herself promotes it the most. She often says people are jealous of her, thinks she’s too hot for a one-night-stand, thinks every male interviewer is flirting with her, dresses provocatively but says she doesn’t, etc…
      It’s very telling that Kiki’s dream relationship is batman/robin… hero/apprentice… rich man/ward… etc..
      I really think she saw her marriage as a estage (as Lulu would say). She basically interned with Gilles, and that’s where she learned all of that PR 10whatever crap. He a fame whore who talks in total psycho babble. Their married years were probably just like one long episode of “Double Exposure”. If those kids grow up “normal” it will be a miracle. I’m willing to wait the 20 years for Teddy’s post rehab tell all bio ala “Postcards from the Edge”
      • Ellabean says:
        Oooo. Searing take, error. Dee-lish.
        Thanks for more backstory on “Kelly: The Rockford Illinois Years-Daddy’s Dissapointment” . Knew some of that – but not all.
      • moriasheehan says:
        i have a thought, could kelly be so masculine because she shared an excess of testosterone with her twin? wouldn’t it be funny if twin was feminine? i have known a few twins and the identical twins, 3 out of five had 1 gay girl and 1 straight girl. i have never known a male/female set of twins. the triplets i knew, 2 boys, 1 girl, one boy was gay. anyone know anything about twins and sexual preference? my experiences may not be the norm.
        • Zoey says:
          Ooooh, love that theory!!! That would explain a lot. Ok now who can find out if the brother has feminine characteristics? Find out where he lives, someone follow him…..
          Wait, are we going to far? 🙂
      • CuckooforCocoaPuffs says:
        Great comment, Error!
        Alcoholics and addicts are often emotionally stunted to around the time they started using – so Kiki’s adolescent girl antics could be just another “clue” that her emotional development ended mid-teens.
        Even the signature flirtatious “Hi-eee” seems like a teenage girl.
        I also read an interview where she said that most of her friends were gay men and that was why she couldn’t relate to the women on the show.
  91. Char212 says:
    Bethenny just tweeted that she’s on her way to LA to be on “Are You Smarter Then a 5th Grader”. She has more guts then I do 🙂
    • Ellabean says:
      I ‘m not liking that.
      That means she has to fly and be away from Bryn . I’ve noticed that all her TV appearance since Bryn has been born are in New York and Philly (QVC is there). That little boo boo is only 10 weeks old – what is her weight now. Why is B doing the silly 5th grader show? That’s not her demographic – hosted by the redneck guy – the comedian who did a running schtick about how you can tell if someone is a redneck – I can’t think of his name.
      • error404 says:
        Jeff Foxworthy?
      • Char212 says:
        Jeff Foxworthy is his name. I thought of that too about little Bryn but it sure seems Bethenny is a hot topic right now and everyone wants her on their show.
      • WindyCityWondering says:
        Maybe Bethenny is taking Bryn with her and maybe her mother-in-law is going along too.
      • DesertGal says:
        What’s to like or not like?
        Bethenny has bills to pay like everyone else. She’s leaving Bryn for only 24 hours, in the care of a loving and capable father. There is nothing wrong with that.
        No mother likes going back to work. Unfortunately, it is usually a necessity.
        • Char212 says:
          That’s true and working mothers do it all the time. If it were Jason going on a business trip no one would think anything of it.
    • Quincy IL says:
      It’s a huge honor to be on that quiz show. They have physicists, college professors, and top engineers answering those questions. Jeff Foxworthy must thing that our Bethenny is a genius.     This”uncle” is someone from the modeling days and knew Kelly from when she first started dating Gilles and tells of how Kelly was treated and what people thought of her.
    Two things I remember is she was know for copying Gilles ex wife Elle McPhearson(sp?)and another model Gilles was dating at the same time he was dating Kelly.Uncle gave the name of the model and I Googled her and she has a jewelry line and is an activist(I forget the cause)and has some similar style of dress.If you read it please bring the name back.
    Also uncle states that Kelly IS a known alcoholic and was even outted by an AA attendee a few years back.
          Help???
          • Dani says:
            I am having problems too. Can anyone give us some help so we could check this out. Thanking you in advance.
            • KirksvilleMo says:
              I got all the posts by doing a member search then click on name and all posts.Since what I’m refering to was awhile back I sent uncle a DM asking for direction.
    • error404 says:
      ok, I didn’t have much luck finding “uncle” and gave up pretty qucikly, but I did enjoy this little gem:
      “1979
      I don’t understand what you have against me. We had a pretty eventful year, lots of neat stuff happened. For me, here’s the stuff I see as important:
      Major Events of 1979
      Shah overthrown in Iranian revolution.
      Ayatollah Khomeini returns to Iran after 15 years in exile.
      US embassy in Iran seized by “students”, and embassy staff held hostage.
      Saddam Hussein becomes President of Iraq.
      Margaret Thatcher becomes Britain’s first woman Prime Minister.
      Three Mile Island nuclear accident – a partial meltdown of a reactor occurs in the worst civilian nuclear accident in US history, at Midtown, a suburb of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
      USSR and USA sign the SALT II treaty, limiting nuclear arms.
      Soviets forces invade Afghanistan.
      Voyager I discovers faint ring system around Jupiter.
      Visicalc, first spreadsheet software introduced.
      Former US space station, Skylab, re-enters the Earth’s atmosphere and debris is scattered in the Indian Ocean and Western Australia.
      Ugandan dictator, Idi Admin, deposed.
      Debut of the Garfield comic strip.
      Muhammad Ali announces his retirement from boxing (although he will later, briefly, return).
      Sony introduces the Walkman.
      Sandinista rebels enter Managua, winning the civil war in Nicaragua.
      Rhodesia becomes Zimbabwe.
      First European Ariane rocket is launched.
      You continually disparage me, but I think I was pretty damn good to you. Except for, ya know, that “one” thing… and you have to take some responsibility for that, yourself! So let me go.. It’s time….”
      lol
      • MAMAZ says:
        I much as I dislike Kelly, and can certainly believe she has a problem with alcohol and/or other substances I don’t listen to anonymous rumours. If “uncle” wants to go on the record I’m sure there are publications that would be happy to pay for the story. And I would be happy to read them.
  96. Dani says:
    I love this site. It has taken me awhile to get caught up. You guys are great as far as posting so I can keep up to date. Great blog as always Lynn.
    I just wanted to say that I don’t understand all the articles on Bethenny loosing her weight so fast after having Bryn. I was looking at the pictures on Bravo’s blog of the honeymoon and Bethenny has a tummy but she does not look like she gained weight anywhere else. I am tired of reading articles about how she lost her weight so fast and I refuse to read anymore. I thought Joy Behar was just down right nasty to Bethenny on this subject. I love Bethenny, Jason and Cookie they are all so real, and I can relate to them (not with the money but other ways). You could tell in the last episode how much Jason truly loves Bethenny.
    • KirksvilleMo says:
      I don’t undersatnd the hate either.I remember the first outfit I bought after my second baby was the real low hiphuggers (searsucker madrid plaid with big bells and a cuff-lol-gotta love 1972)and a belly shirt when I was 2 weeks out from giving birth.No stretch marks,no flab,and I gained and lost 37 pounds.I didn’t eat special or exercise.I did breast feed and was active chasing a 2yo.
    • realityblows says:
      Joy Behemoth is just jealous because she still hasn’t lost her pregnancy weight. heehee
    • Quincy IL says:
      Anyone in good shape take a bit of a hit from on lookers. My physcial trainer told me that people say stuff to her about her groceries. I gained 38 lbs each of 3 pregnancies and after a couple of weeks, that weight was gone because I nursed. I am really normal…. and Bethenny’s weight gain seems ok if you read about pregnancies.
      • ShyAsrai says:
        one of my younger sister (the physically littlest out of we six) had two – count them! – 10+ lb babies. she’s a 5′ nothing 98-lb weakling.
        don’t ask me how this beyotch got nary a stretch mark (and she’s a redhead with fair skin) or went to the beach in her teeny bikini with a flat (ok, but not able to bounce quarters) belly the day after she got home from the hospital – insisting she needed the healing warmth of the sun. no she did not breastfeed, and yes, 20 odd years later, i’m still mad at her. LOL
      • realityblows says:
        People say the darndest things. I was 9 months pregnant and checking out my groceries when the checker said “Wow, you look like you are due any minute! Did you plan the pregnancy or was it an accident?” ???? WTF? I was just stunned into silence. Of course later I thought of what I should have said. “Um, as a matter of fact the rubber broke.” sheesh
        • ShyAsrai says:
          i have 4 kids, 2 boys/2 girls. the question i got all the time “are they all from the same father?” this happened before and after their father and I divorced.
          WTF?
          First off, whose business is that? 2nd, who asks complete strangers or even acquaintances such a thing?
          this was in the late 70’s early 80s – seems like no particular decade owns rudeness.
  97. Zoey says:
    I love this site! I just found it, and now I can bookmark it and call it my RH home!
  98. boston02127 says:
    Odd that Kelly would tweet this today, yesterday we were chatting about how lonely she seems.
    —I have been through so much, but I am so lucky to have an amazing life, fam, and friends. Wear love
    • Quincy IL says:
      I guess she’s feeling lonely.
      I noticed some blogs that seem to reflect our discussions so closely that it made me wonder if they were taking notes here.
      • Zoey says:
        Thanks for the welcome guys!
        Q, who do you mean by ‘they’? Just curious.
        • ImaJillHater2 says:
          Zoey, I believe the “they” referred to are the Real Housewives (NY & NJ) who blog & twitter, etc…
          Sometimes they blog & twitter things that appear to be in response to some of the comments posted on this blog.
    • WindyCityWondering says:
      so @Boston, do you think she visits this site on a regular basis?
      • boston02127 says:
        @WCW—I’m not sure. There was an ongoing joke here a while back about her and charities. When I’d post and question her charities within a day she’d tweet about her charities.
    This is a blog from Ilana Angel. This is a follow-up to her blog about BGM on Friday. The negative comments about the blog really got to her.
    http://www.jewishjournal.com/keepingthefaith/item/reality_television_and_anti-semitism_20100717/
    • MickeyMouth says:
      Interesting. I read her blog from the other day. I thought she was over the top in her dislike of BGM but to each it’s own. It’s wrong that anyone would leave anti-semetic remarks on her blog and those who did should be ashamed.
      This blog post left me wondering two things: Which other blogger is sending people to the JJ to hate on her and her religion and how exactly is Bethenny supposed to know about this to put a stop to it?
      • Dani says:
        I agree MickeyMouth her comment about Bethenny should stop her fans from making these comments was ridiculous. If she is going to be so critical than she has to expect some criticism. What does she want Bethenny to do? Does she really think Bethenny reads her blog? I thought her blog in regards to BGM was extremely harsh and very caustic.
    • boston02127 says:
      Ilana states—-There is another blogger out there who writes specifically about the housewives, and her loyal followers are the ones who seem to be leading the charge against me as a person. I visited her blog, and she was respectful of me, even though our opinions are different.
      Are we suppose to assume she means Lynn’s blog?
      She also states: Those people who did not agree with my view of Bethenny’s show, started attacking. I was told my opinion was stupid, and the reason it was stupid, is because I am Jewish. I was called ignorant, bitter, pathetic, angry, ugly, fat, lonely, obsessed and embarrassing.
      She’s a nut and I’m not buying her sob story. Give me a break, I don’t care if she’s Jewish or if she’s a Catholic nun sitting next to me in St. Brigid Catholic church. She’s still an ass and comes off as a mean and nasty person.
      Here’s some advice Ilana—Comments on your blog wait for approval, don’t
      post the ignorant ones. You are in full control of your blog. Easy as pie! Stop your whining, if you can’t play with the big dogs stay on the porch. Nutcase.
      • realityblows says:
        @ boston- Agree with you. The whole blogging and critiquing *thing* is going to garner critique! To whine about the fall-out is ridiculous.
      • boston02127 says:
        Maybe not a Catholic nun. Now I’m afraid I’m going to get struck by lightening.
        • Squirrels says:
          Boston, every golfer caught in a lightening storm knows to grab their #1 wood and hold it high in the air.
          Even God can’t hit a 1 wood.
          😀
    • Waslurking says:
      How the hell did Lynn get dragged into all that?
      Sheesh!
    • WindyCityWondering says:
      She was very unkind to Bethenny the other day – so, while I don’t condone anti anything remarks and am sorry her feeling were hurt, she has to understand that she also upset people with what she wrote!
      • icantstandthetoxicity says:
        I agree with you, I don’t condone any hateful remarks. I think she went too far when she stated in her blog that she heard from one of her readers that Jason had moved out. That comment really upset a lot of Bethenny’s fans. Eventually, she deleted the comment but she shouldn’t have written it in the first place. It was a rumor started by one of Bethenny’s haters and she was irresponsible for repeating it in her blog. If she doesn’t like BGM, she shouldn’t watch it or blog about it anymore. She stated in her last blog about RHONJ that she wasn’t going to watch RHONJ anymore because she was disgusted with the show. She should do the same with BGM.
    • Squirrels says:
      Ok… Ilana seems to respond to posts, all but this one, that is….
      “You’re pathetic. As someone who grew up with a horrifically abusive mother, you have no clue what you are talking about. My “mother” appeared like a saint to anyone who knew here, but behind closed doors, she was a monster. This is what made that relationship even more so destructive in my mind. Not only could I see that she could behave like the most charming person in the world to everyone other than me and my sister but NO ONE and I mean NO ONE would have believed me if I had come forward. She was/is extraordinarily manipulative and would have been able to turn everything around on me (something she routinely did in other situations) so that I would have been left looking like a crazy person who everyone would have written off as being a “bad seed” and “such a shame to my incredible mother”. Puh-lease. You clearly have no concept what it means to grow up in an abusive household. How very fortunate for you. Many of us are not so lucky and you would be wise to show some more compassion. You cannot imagine what a childhood of abuse does to shape someone and how they see the world around them. Perhaps you should turn off the TV if that show makes you so sick and go volunteer in a shelter for abused children. Either way, get off your high horse. You obviously have no clue how to be a compassionate human being and you certainly don’t seem to want to even try.
      Comment by SL_Bard on 7/16/10 at 10:50 am”
      Why ignore SL_Bard? Hmmmmm?
  103. Squirrels says:
    “There is another blogger out there who writes specifically about the housewives, and her loyal followers are the ones who seem to be leading the charge against me as a person. I visited her blog, and she was respectful of me, even though our opinions are different.”
    “That this other blogger’s fans were so hurtful to me, and she did not comment to tell them to stop, is interesting. That Bethenny Frankel would not speak up when her fans are participating in anti-Semitic comments is not nice, and rather telling.”
    Ok, I’m getting ticked off now. I read her review, did not post anything to it and surely do not appreciate being blanket attacked by some woman who’s interpretation of Bethenny’s show was the polar opposite of mine. Who cares what anyone else thinks. What upsets me is that for some reason it is all being attributed to Lynn.
    WTF?
    • MickeyMouth says:
      Is it Lynn’s blog she is talking about? I know I have been on vacation but I don’t remember Lynn or anyone else leading a charge against this woman. What did I miss?
    • error404 says:
      Am I the only getting a ‘Jill sympathy cards 2.0’ vibe from this? It’s eeery.
      • Need a Hobby says:
        Well the “systematic bullying” card seems to be getting a bit of use lately.
    • Need a Hobby says:
      Ilana didn’t name any names & she says “seems” and that to her that makes it OK to post assumptions and allegations.
      There are a lot of housewife blogs. I’d guess Lynn’s has a fairly significant readership, but I thought the discussion here was reasonable. But her non-accusation accusation is just more of her chickenshit tactics IMO: I’m not saying blah, blah, blah, I’m just publicly passing on what others have claimed to me and have no responsibility in the matter; I’m not saying which blog whose readers/posters I’ve assumed are “responsible” for personal attacks on me, but I’m going to publicly post this and let readers believe that another site is in fact responsible as I’ve suggested.
      I hadn’t read there in weeks until this weekend and certainly have not bothered to post there. I don’t advocate board wars or blog wars. I think they’re stupid and childish. I would urge folks not to post there and certainly not any personal attacks. But that’s just my own view and inclination. People are responsible for their own actions.
  104. Gingers poo says:
    How is Bethenny supposed to know about anti-semitic comments SHE DIDN’T POST on her obscure little blog and then apologize for something only Illana say?
    WHAT?
    Some of her blogs are good, some suck, but saying that Lynn or Bethenny are responsible for whatever low life did that is really over-the-top ridiculous and inflammatory.
    • icantstandthetoxicity says:
      I read the comments on Ilana Angel’s blog on Friday, I don’t remember reading any anti-semitic comments. Most of the comments were negative but I didn’t think the comments were out of line. She is blaming Lynn and Bethenny for the actions of a few people. She sounds just like Jill.
      • boston02127 says:
        @icantstandthetoxicity—She is a Jill.
        • MAMAZ says:
          She said she didn’t post the comments with profanity or anti semitic remarks. I don’t blame her for that. But that blog was really hateful. She included an unsubstantiated rumour that Jason had left Bethenny. That’s pretty low. I didn’t leave her a comment. And I don’t agree with leaving bigoted comments to a blog. But just like JZ if you’re gonna dish it out you better be prepared to take it. I did post on here that I thought it was petty and over the top. I stand by that.
    • Maryla says:
      So let me try to get the story straight about Ilena — she wrote a blog post bashing Bethenny Frankel, her show, and basically her life. Bethenny’s fans and supporters comment negatively on the bashing — saying that they think that she is wrong in her analysis. Ilena takes said criticism personally, at which point she expects Bethenny — the person she impugned — to ride to the rescue to denounce the fans because their criticism was too mean and hurt her feelings?
  105. Gingers poo says:
    meant “only Illana SAW” not “say.” Ooops.
    I hope someone asks her that though. Nicely.
  106. HD says:
    “Oh wait Jason, before you hand me Bryn to breastfeed, I want to make sure people are not slandering Jewish people on a blog that I probably never heard of and don’t read.”
  107. boston02127 says:
    NONE of this would ever fly on this blog:
    She states: Those people who did not agree with my view of Bethenny’s show, started attacking. I was told my opinion was stupid, and the reason it was stupid, is because I am Jewish. I was called ignorant, bitter, pathetic, angry, ugly, fat, lonely, obsessed and embarrassing.
    • WindyCityWondering says:
      If she can’t stand the heat then she should get out of the kitchen! And she needs to respect the fact that if she can’t handle an opinion that differs from her own then she shouldn’t be blogging in the first place.
  108. boston02127 says:
    Ilana Angel if you feel you were attacked here’s a number you can call:
    1-800-KELLYBENSIMON
  109. realityblows says:
    Maybe she’s talking about the I Hate Alex bloggers. She didn’t say which one it was yet.
  110. error404 says:
    this is what I said:
    “Hypocrite much?
    Commenters are suppose to think about your son before commenting, but we’re you thinking of Bryn Hoppy when you spread the unsubstantiated rumor than her father had moved out?
    Commenters are suppose to be concerned with real matters, like the war and the gulf, but you can blog all day long about silly stuff like tv shows and celebrity gossip?
    You really hit a new low with this one, sorry. ”
    I wonder if she’ll post it.
  111. Squirrels says:
    If I could fly to NJ next Aug, I would…. just to photograph the scene.
  112. Squirrels says:
    I can’t seem to change my gravitar….. grrrr
  113. WindyCityWondering says:
    Here is the number one reason I come to this blog and only comment on this blog: No one here feels compelled to attack another poster – we disagree with respect and humor. Those who come here to attack and be disruptive never stay very long.
    And I am not sure why Ilana even blogs about the housewives because if you blog about only the Jewish ones aren’t you being somewhat rude and/or elitist?
    • Quincy IL says:
      I think she publishes at a Jewish Journal and they might prefer her to publish on Jewish people.
      I read the Catholic sites and Iranian sites, the like their own topics on their pages…
      We have a great deal of flexibility here. On the Sci fi board, it’s so tight that you can’t mention one show on another show’s page.
  114. Squirrels says:
    I don’t thinks the blogger does much research. If she ever spent time on this blog, she’d know precisely what you refer to Windy. Anytime some troll, or a commenter with an ax to grind shows up, Lynn removes them. TY Lynn. It is the WHY this blog works so well.
    We are adults (most times) and have no reason to spew personal attacks. So, to quote Sonja Morgan, “Proof or evidence.”
  115. Quincy IL says:
    Hmmmm. Come to think of it…. We all are animals.
  116. boston02127 says:
  118. boston02127 says:
    Ohh sorry —the above video is from Ashley’s tweets.
  119. Squirrels says:
    Ashley asks some guy what do you think about 2012. He replies,
    So the Mexicans are telling us the world is going to end in 2012 and I’m supposed to believe them when they can’t even get my order right from 10 ft away at a drive thru? Give me a fucking break.
    Ashley laughs and says I love it.
    I quoted as best I could Boston.
  120. Squirrels says:
    What? The Mexicans are telling us the world is gonna end in 2012 and I’m supposed to believe them? They can’t even get an order right from 10 feet away at a drive thru.
    Ashley then laughs and says, “I love it.”
  121. boston02127 says:
    Is my math right?
    Posted yesterday:
    Calling you out Lynn says: I love your blog, but you seem to contradict yourself. You stated “I can think of hundreds of things to do rather than watching the Kardashians! I’m sure everyone reading this blog has a show or a celebrity that they don’t like and don’t waste their time watching, right?” The same could be said about you. Why do you blog about a celebrity (Jill) you don’t like? Also, you said, ” I feel a little sorry for these people to be honest, because they’re wasting their time watching and writing about a TV show that they don’t particularly enjoy.” You write about Jill, cant stand to watch her on TV, yet take the time out of your day to create a daily blog about her. Kinda tongue in cheek, huh?
    Ilana states:
    Why are people so invested in television, and people they don’t know, that they would lash out at another human being for having an opinion? It is really sad that this behavior is acceptable.
    • Squirrels says:
      Do you think they are one in the same? Particularly because we’ve never seen that nic here before? If so, all she discovered is we agree to disagree and we did so politely. Wonder if that chapped her azz.
      • Quincy IL says:
        I think I did say something about the fact that Bryn is going to be Catholic like her dad and her paternal grandparents. I said that this might have upset this blogger.
        I also that this should be up to the parents. Is that antisemitic?
        • Laurie in Detroit says:
          It’s usually up to the mother. In the Jewish faith, if the mother is Jewish, the child is jewish. Not to say, however, that perhaps Bethanny has chosen to embrace Christianity. Maybe she’s Jewish by birth, but not by practice. It’s up to Bethanny and Jason…. let’s trust them to figure it out.
    • WindyCityWondering says:
      CallingyououtLynn seemed alittle Troll lite – she got answered with kindness and respect which probably creeped her out. Have you seen her s/n on other sites? Are you seeing a connection to another blog that we are missing?
    • dumberries says:
      I’m not sure if it was someone associated with Illana or a semi-regular poster here with a different name. Someone with the same head shot pic posted again here again at 3:39 a.m. The post is upthread; think she’s posted here before. I’m not sure if you can use the same pic with a new name, but I didn’t think two different users could have the exact same pic either? Either way, no one cares if you have a different opinion and disagree – respectfully – and expect to be challenged! It’s why I like this site and the regular posters.
  122. Buffywood says:
    Ok… my 2 cents on Ilana’s blog… typically I do like it which surprises me as I am a semi-nice Catholic girl from the East Coast. Just to clarify, I just didn’t knwo what to expect from a publication called The Jewish Journal. Anway… by the time I read her blog the item about Jason moving out had already been removed. Yes it was wrong to post a rumor in the first place. She doesn’t like Bethenny, she doesn’t “get” Bethenny, no big deal.
    The people that commented really went off the charts. Is anywone here familiar with a poster named something like RadcalStar? She was posting VERY Nasty comments and stating this THIS blog was responsible for all of the bad comment’s on Illana’s blog, and that the group here was a big bunch of anti-semetic bitches, blah blah blah…
    Anyway, I did feel bad for her. There are so many nutjobs out there. I am sure Lynn gets her fair share of nasty hate mail too. I guess it comes with the job when you post your opinions online, but it is not deserved. Some people really need to realize that there is a different between TV Reality and thier own personal reality.
  123. Buffywood says:
    Crap, I didn’t make it clear, I don’t think ANYONE here has any problems with know what is “Real”, that is why I like it here… some commenters on the other site definately did. OK ducking for cover now.
      No need to duck Buffywood! I don’t support bigoted and hateful responses to a blogger either. I haven’t encountered it on this site, so I’d guess we all agree with your stance.
      But, if someone writes a blog that contains negative and unfounded information, the writer is silly not to expect to be challenged vigorously and passionately (causing such a stir is often the intent for posting the “rumor” in the first place).
  124. LucyHPotter says:
    @ MickeyMouth, Dani, Boston…
    This morning I posted a comment on Ilana’s latest blog about Bethenny. I thought it was outrageous that she judged Bethenny for not keeping tabs on her fans and reprimand their behavior. I also defended Lynn and all of the great people posting here by using her OWN words – “Lynn and her fans are sharing their opinions on her blog and whether you agree or not, you should embrace that we live in a country where we can *all* write freely.” I asked her if she can dish it, but can’t take it. I guess I hit a nerve because…
    …Well just a few minutes ago I received a personal email from Ilana. She said I am a sad person; she will not post anymore of my rhetoric on her blog and for me to get my own blog to post my silliness.
    I must admit that I was really unnerved by her reaction to my post on her blog. I did not attack her. I did not use profanity. I just gave her my honest opinion and a legitimate counterargument to what she was saying. I am more of a lurker than a poster but I have been a faithful reader of Lynn’s blog since she started it. I guess this is why I am not used to this type of reaction to random messages posted online.
    I don’t want to sound dramatic. Again, this type of reaction is not something I find normal. Especially from a grown woman with a blog titled “Keeping the Faith”.
    • LucyHPotter says:
      For the record, this is what I posted on her blog…
      Do you think Bethenny has a Google alert set up to let her know when her fans are engaged in bad behavior such as participating in anti-Semitic comments? Do you think Bethenny has an employee whose job function is to monitor the behavior of her fans on the internet?
      I think it’s safe to assume the answer to both questions is ‘no’. You say that the fact that Bethenny has not spoken up against this appalling behavior is not nice and rather telling. How can you judge her for this when you don’t even know if she is aware of such behavior happening? This type of comment is why so many people have taken issue with your blog. It seems you seize any opportunity to slam her.
      Bethenny has stated several times that she has moved on from her negative experience with Jill and wishes her the best. She has made it a point to repeat this because she feels some negative comments directed at Jill are from her fans on her behalf. Clearly, she is encouraging her fans to let it go.
      As far as the other blogger not telling her fans to stop sharing their opinion about you on her blog, I can say that those fans are sharing their opinions and whether you agree or not, you should embrace that we live in a country where we can *all* write freely. Your previous blog had plenty of nasty comments about that other blogger, I didn’t see you telling them to stop. So what gives? You can dish it but you can’t take it?
      That being said, I do NOT condone bigotry.
      • MickeyMouth says:
        I found I commented on her upstream on this blog – who knew I knew who she was? It was just my usual sarcasm that a reader is not a reliable source for information re the Jason moving out comment.
        The internet is full of people in it for the lolz. There are those who would go to her site just to wreak havoc without any vested interested in the fight other than to rubber neck the outcome. Ilana shouldn’t be so gullible to believe those commenting and she definitely shouldn’t engage the little trolls by blogging it. Feel sorry for her. If she is personally responding by email to anyone who disagrees with her blog, well that’s sad. Don’t let it bother you, your comments were nothing but your opinion. I’m sure trolls wrote some very hurtful things to her but she should ignore not engage or get a thicker skin.
    • boston02127 says:
      @Lucy–I’m shocked she answered you on your personal email. Talk about nerves. Apparently the woman is in need of attention & needs a life.
    • Noreen says:
      People like Ilana use their faith as a sword to crush those who don’t agree with their way of thinking; not their way of worshiping, but their way of thinking. She is the one with the sad little life. And most good, well adjusted, normal human beings (whether of faith or not) do not use their belief system to belittle or judge others.
      But I agree with you Lucy, it is intimidating to receive a personal and nasty response. I received one once from a NY Yankee’s reporter when I posted a comment to his article. It was very unpleasant. I felt like I lost my anonimity. He should have responded on the blog but he attacked me in my own world and it was extremely intimidating. Especially since I was new to blogging at the time.
      So a big thank you to Lynn for making this such a wonderful blog for us all to post to without feeling like we have to be looking over our shoulders!
      So just keep your own faith Lucy and screw that creepy wingnut!
      • Dani says:
        Lucy, I am shocked that she sent you a email chastising you. I did not comment on the first blog about Bethenny however I did on the second and said about the same thing you did. I wonder if I will get and email too? Well guess I won’t be going to her blog anymore. So much for free speech.
      • Quincy IL says:
        Lots of people in many religions do that. Most of them consider themselves the chosen people too.
    • kats2 says:
      I think she is just looking for attention, I read her blog once a long time ago, it was boring I never went back. I’m sure she is wondering why she is not getting the attention and traffice that Lynn is getting. Perhaps she should think about that.
      • MAMAZ says:
        Lucy – Her email response to you was inappropriate. she should have posted it in reply to your comment on her blog. Like Noreen said it was intimidating. Your comment was polite and articulate. Her answer to you was condescending and rude.
        • Waslurking says:
          this is gonna be out of order for comments….but I wanted to remark that obviously she has figured out how to just show positive comments. Whatever makes her happy I guess….but like so many of you have stated, don’t dish it out if you can’t take it.
          I certainly don’t agree with anything having to do with her religion or race or whatever personal stuff.
          Hell if she hadn’t done a response blog I wouldn’t have read the first one. I remember you all commenting on it when it was first posted……I passed. Figured if it was that lame why go read it, ya know? But like the nosy person I am, I just had to check it out today. LOL Her blog itself was …umm…. nasty and uncalled for from where I’m sitting. She can dislike Beth….ok, fine, but come ON! She has a problem with personal attacks (ahem) but the way she went after Beth seemed pretty damn personal! Beth’s hubby, her wit, her body, her family, her life…etc..etc.
          And like you all….. I don’t appreciate being lumped in with the ‘rude’ comments just because I read and occasionally post here.
          OMG…….. I’m a lurker… I don’t do rant’s on here, sorry!
    Does anyone use CraigsList?
    • Housewife Hater says:
      I just did! I got a job from it two weeks ago & I just saw another one that looks interesting.
      I never give out info. ’till I check them out though.
    • boston02127 says:
      CraigsList.org has a “free” section in each state. People give away all kinds of stuff everyday. I got a very nice desk from there.
      • Buffywood says:
        Congrats on the new job! I was thinking of using to post some new kitchen cabinets I have available. Thanks for the info.
        • Squirrels says:
          Buffy – I love Craigs list, but it does have its problems. There have been numerous incidents of ppl being robbed, and recently a husband murdered particularly when selling jewelry items, like diamond engagement rings, etc. So I warn everyone, DO NOT SELL JEWELRY. If you do, meet them in a public place, like the parking lot of the local police station.
          Don’t mean to be a downer here. Just cautious.
    • Zoey says:
      Yes, my son and I do. He has found 3 great college roommates there! All in one year. We were both very reluctant, a little scared, and didn’t expect much from it, but he was really in need of someone to share the rent.
      This was his last year in college, so getting people the same age or working on grad degrees did bring some maturity; it wasn’t 18 year olds, ya know?
      But me being the mom, I’m thinking they could be ax murderers, or some sort of criminal! The apts. do a background check so that eased my mind.
      There was one nice guy from Iowa, a grad student from Bangaladesh, and now 2 girls from Russia! So he has made friends from afar that he plans to keep in touch with.
      I’ve also sold furniture and a car. Works much better if you post pictures. I think it’s great.
  126. Quincy IL says:
    Yikes… Kelly wakes up and announces that she is going to have coffee and a seven mile run… She does 8 miles in heat…
    I have been taking running/exercise classes with a trained instructor and we are supposed to have more than coffee a couple of hours before workout and some protein snack within a hour when we get home. We are building lean muscle and increasing our metabolism.
    I think Kelly is canibilizing herself.
    • boston02127 says:
      @Quincy–With her gigantic legs 8 miles is really only 2 miles.
      • Noreen says:
        LOL!
      • Quincy IL says:
        She gets kudos from Andy and the Brooklyn fashion designer for being an athelete. I think they are looking at body fat percentage and Kelly’s muscles showing on those long leg bones. The problem is with anything less than 11 percent body fat (healthy is 22 to 25 in women) your essential body functions fail. You need fat to run the brain and nervous system.
        I don’t think Kelly has the 11% fat that she requires to make it to 50 years old so she can be in Playboy again.
    • WindyCityWondering says:
      Kelly is not an example of a healthy person. She is also not a very responsible one for giving her exercise/diet regime out to the general public. She will never be what she sees herself as and all the dieting and exercising won’t change her into that “picture” in her mind. I think she likes the high she gets from exercising and her “cleanses” give her license to eat whatever she wants. It is sad because a body does need a certain amount of fat or muscle will be lost. And she really crossed the line when she told Sonja that she had to tell her daughter she was too lazy to exercise….. we can only imagine the messages her own daughters are getting from their mother’s healthful lifestyle.
      • Quincy IL says:
        Sonja looks healthy to me. Sometimes, they doctor up their faces, but if you look at her neck and arms, the skin looks youthful.
        • tuzentswurth says:
          She looks beautiful (Sonja, NOT kkb). She seems happy and at peace with herself and it reflects in the way she looks. The comparison between the two is mind boggling.
  127. WindyCityWondering says:
    There are people who really do believe that “reality shows” are 100% REAL. They are scary in their comments and I choose to skip over them and don’t engage with them either.
    • Need a Hobby says:
      Back in the heyday of daytime soaps, actresses who played villains would sometimes be accosted and harassed in public by viewers who believed they were the characters they played on TV. Now that’s nuts.
    • WindyCityWondering says:
      @Buffywood – this was supposed to go to your post. lol no need to duck here!
    • Quincy IL says:
      It amazes me that the average reality star doesn’t know that inconsistencies, lies and manipulations will be shown to the public.
      • WindyCityWondering says:
        Reality stars, professional sportspeople, politicans – facts can be checked in the blink of an eye – lying, fabricating their past or accomplishments, what they did or did not say….the truth is seconds away!
        • Waslurking says:
          Which is why I love Beth…… it’s all out there and she knows. Good, bad, ugly.
    So as you know from Char (I think it was) who wrote that Bethenny was on a plane flying to LA. Well Bethenny tweeted to all her followers something about hating it when a person sits next to you on a plane. And the person is actually one of her followers who tweeted back to Bethenny. See the tweets below (read from the bottom up). Too Funny!
      Let’s see if this helps.
  129. Dani says:
    This is the latest post on Ilana’s blog:
    I am so sorry to hear of all the attacks you so wisely chose not to post.
    I was highly offended by the several that were posted and did notice that you removed one due to its being one filled with religious hatred.
    Unfortunately, the others that attacked you from the other blog are at it again and ridiculing that fact that you came forth and shared your feelings.
    These are people who would kick a kitten.
    There is nothing anyone can do with people such as these.
    They can only be placed in God’s hands and ignored.
    Thank you for your vulerability.
    I do so look forward to reading your blog after next Thursday’s show. I may of may not agree with you, however I will post my comment with my very own opinion and will not have a need to diminish another because their opinion differs.
    Your blogs are well written and well considered. Again, I am so sorry you were so hurt.
    • felony stupid says:
      What’s vulerability? haha
      Uh…whatever.
    • kats2 says:
      Anyone who posted the horrible religious or personal stuff is a weirdo and just sick (they should be ignored). But I have NEVER seen that type of crap from anyone here with the exception of Otay and like Otay Lynn would ban them from her blog no matter how much they liked anyone.
      There are people who are looking for attention and traffic to visit their blogs. I’m not saying that is the case here, but it seems odd that she is not calling out who she is accusing. I’m registered here but anyone can use the same names and post stuff, I don’t know how this blogger can tell. But it is getting her attention and traffic to her blog.
      All you can do is stay away from that blog and you can’t get accused of doing anything wrong and save your energy for the HW’s. YMMV
    • Buffywood says:
      Yes she is. On her rant yesterday she named this blog specifically and said we were all Anti-Semetic. He or she is a raving lunatic and mentioned this blog on another site yesterday as well… I think it was Reality Tea.
  130. Dani says:
    I just want all of you to know that I would never kick a cat. I do like Bethenny and I thought Ilana’s prev blog was very nasty. I am sure it would have hurt Bethenny’s feelings as well. I guess it is ok for Ilana to write mean spirited things about Bethenny, but were not to comment. Ok, I got it I won’t be going back to her site.
    • WindyCityWondering says:
      So which blog is posting nasty stuff about Ilana? It isn’t this blog, so which one is it? Is it the one that formed after a couple of trolls got tossed off here?
      If Ilana is too chicken to address someone on her blog but then sends them a mean PM that says alot about her character. And more to the point – does anyone here really care??
    • felony stupid says:
      ditto Boston…ditto.
    • Need a Hobby says:
      Someone’s feelings were hurt on the internet?
      I read some of Ilana’s early BGM blogs and she was already playing the victim when some posters turned against her. She waved the victim card then like a banner of honor. I thought it peculiar then and wondered if she was deliberately going for page hits, but just stopped reading since I no longer found her recaps amusing.
    I wonder why Kelly didn’t go to Jill’s book signing in the Hamptons last night. Trouble in Kelly N Jillville?
  134. CdnFillie says:
    I think Ilana’s blog has Jill’s grubby little fingers all over it. Not meaning she is Jill but rather Jill got to her somehow. As someone posted earlier, unlike Lynn’s blog, all comments made there have to wait for commentary approval, why is she allowing them on if they were that offensive. ..she does have that control. Instead she uses her blog to point the finger at people here on this blog…albeit in an indirect manner…and we all know Jill is aware of Lynn and this blog.
    Tell you the truth, I’ve been lurking there for a while and commented 2x in her earlier blogs. In fact, her second BGM blog I really liked as she seemed more realistic in her assessment of BGM…in a way that I agreed with. I let her know in my comment that I was happy she was at least going to view BGM with a more open mind. Since then she has spewed garbage on her blog that is reminiscent of Jill’s “no one tape with Bethenny” crap she started with the other RHNYC cast.
    There seems to be a lot of good detectives on this site…is it possible to find any connection with Ilana and Jill?
    • WindyCityWondering says:
      They may share the same jealousy gene in their DNA.
      Bethenny is living a very incredible life – some choose to celebrate it with her and some just want to knock her down.
    i’d love to see bethany host her own talk show. i’d definitely tune in no matter what format. the last time she was on The View, she stated that Bryn would be pretty much shielded from the cameras. given that, i can’t imagine she will continue with reality tv much longer. maybe another season or two of BGM? but my guess is that’s about it.
    now onto NJ. while teresa and joe seem to be getting everything they deserve, i still can’t help but feel for her children. yes, they can be bratty at times as kids can be, but it saddens me none the less. i can’t help but wonder where they will end up if and when they are forced from their home. i’m not sure about the financial status of their respective families but i would imagine it’s decent if it is in fact true they’ve received the substantial assistance from them as they have claimed. i wouldn’t be surprised if they get a house handed to them but i have little doubt it will be a $5 million mansion. possibly even a “used” house – horrors!!
Then, I Angel wants me to feel sorry for her because some posters don’t like what she writes. Get off your high horse, I Angel. Who do you think you are? What does your child have to do with the mess you started by being an absolute bitch in your blog?
