I Hate Jill Zarin                   More Real Housewife Drama                      July 21, 2010

Bravotv.com has some “extras” in the form of video clips for The Real Housewives of New Jersey.  These are typically the clips that don’t make it onto the show, for very good reason, they’re dull dull dull!  Unfortunately, they’re also the clips that end up in the lost footage episode making that episode a bigger dud than the entire season combined.

This week we’ve been treated to a meeting between Al Manzo and his daughter Lauren discussing Caroline’s “funk” mood.  This mood is completely inexplicable because not one thing has changed in Caroline’s life in regards to her children and them living with her and her husband.  These kids have it made and aren’t going anywhere, would you?  They’re single, making good money, life rent and expense free, why would they move out?  So what is with Caroline’s “empty nest syndrome”?  It doesn’t exist, it seems to just be a reason to be on camera.

Tip:  Watch the “bonus” videos all season long and you can safely skip the Lost Footage Episode.

A few previews for next week are also available for your viewing pleasure, one in particular of interest has Jacqueline and her husband Chris visiting the Giudice compound.  The women and men split up but the discussions on both ends are what Juicy Joe will be doing for his 10th wedding anniversary to Teresa.  The genius of Teresa shines through once again as Jacqueline jokes about Teresa receiving the “crown jewels”.  Brilliant Teresa says, “hahaha no, I’m not Arabic” then adds “or wait is that Indian?”  Oh my gawd is this broad the stupidest woman on television or what?  Joe talks to Chris about his wife wanting Diamonds for her anniversary but is quick to mention “money isn’t flowing like it used to”.  Could this have been the day that they filed the bankruptcy?  I wonder when Juicy Joe realized that they had over-indulged and cannot afford the lifestyle they’ve tried to create for themselves.

Another preview clip shows Teresa preparing her children to take them to the Pizzeria where Daddy has been spending all of his time.  The kids are missing him because he’s spending all of his time there.  As Teresa is getting the girls ready to go, one of Teresa’s angles decides to scream in her face that she wants “brownies”, immediately before they had to the restaurant to eat.  Teresa directs the oldest daughter, Gia, to get the child some brownies….that’ll teach them not to scream at you Teresa!

I have a feeling that Juicy Joe’s efforts to maintain a multi-million dollar mansion will be futile if he’s trying to do it by selling $2 slices of soggy foldable pizza, one at a time, even if Teresa does all of her own housework!

The blogs are also up, well most of them are, and more long tedious reading is required if you care enough to get a minute  by minute perspective from Jacqueline and her daughter.  More lengthy ramblings of “did you notice” this and “don’t forget” that, as if we hadn’t already seen the episode.  Pointing out things that idiots may have missed is not a blog, it is a detailed script complete with suggestions on how to feel as you act your way through the scenes.  Including a bonus of telling the viewer how to feel.

I was somewhat disappointed in Alex’s blog, I know that she is trying to maintain the popular opinion and while she does chastise Ashley’s behavior, she also tends to excuse it and throw some of the blame onto Danielle.  We all have our favorite housewives and Alex happens to be one of mine, but I don’t always agree with her.  This is one of those instances.

Alex said:

Ultimately? No one walked out of that fashion show with clean hands. Danielle was rude during the show.

True, Danielle didn’t watch the show, she didn’t clap and she pretended to be on the phone.  However, this did not deserve a verbal attack and certainly not having her hair pulled out of her head.   On a side note, everyone keeps calling them her “hair extensions” that were pulled out, however, they were attached to her real hair and her real head , Ashley admitted to grabbing inside the woman’s hair from close to her scalp and pulling and therefore the bitch pulled her hair out, period!

Alex said:

I wish Danielle would just admit that she loves the confrontation too – the “oh poor me” business is getting boring. I tend to think that at the moment of the hair pulling, Danielle had to be doing an internal dance that she had “won” by getting a rise out of Ashley.

While the latter may be true, I don’t agree that Danielle wanted a confrontation that night, I could be wrong but she appeared more than once to want to leave the area where Teresa and Jacqueline were sitting.  In fact, she walked away and was pulled back by the nasty Kim G.  In any case I certainly don’t see Alex’s wish coming true and Danielle admitting that she “loves the confrontation”.

Alex said:

Did anyone else see the look on Christine’s face when Danielle was getting into the boxing practice? Knowing how to defend yourself against a mugger or rapist is a good thing, and I’ve taken those classes too. It got a little much for me when Danielle was shouting Teresa’s and Jacqueline’s names while punching.

Sure we saw Christine’s face, typical teenage face that they make no matter what their parents do, you’ll see it someday too Alex when your boys are teenagers.  (Or maybe it’s only girls but it is typical.)  I agree that shouting out the names of the two who terrorized you at a fashion show may have been unnecessary but Danielle is to be commended for learning to defend herself as well has ensuring her girls have those same basic skills.

Alex said:

More cute family scenes from the Giudice family – at least the little girls weren’t shouting out the names of kids on the playground when they threw their punches and kicks, so they are ahead of the game there. Glad to see Albie got his letter and has a plan; if he gets into school in California, Caroline will get to work on her tan!

I didn’t find the scenes from the Giudice family to be “cute” at all.  As I said in my earlier blog I’m glad that they are taking these karate type lessons because typically they are an excellent discipline.  I rarely find the behavior of these three little girls, “cute” at all, in this instance they were beating the crap out of each other with dad egging them on in the end.  (Sorry I tried to ignore that in the last blog, but it was brought up again)  This is NOT what Karate is all about and would not be a typical demonstration at any gym.  Keeping in mind these girls are not the same age, size or weight they could hurt one another if encouraged to do this without proper padding.

This blog by Alex seemed rushed, I know how busy she must be and I know she is trying not to fall so far behind in blogging again, but I’d prefer not to feel like she’s writing it just to get it out there.  I don’t think she put a lot of thought into it and I’d rather see nothing than a substandard blog that is completely beneath her capabilities.    The bottom line, however, is clear, Alex is on Team Manzo/Laurita  but I believe that is because that is the way of the majority of public opinion and the fact that Alex has spent time with these women.  Alex attended the party at the Brownstone celebrating the season opening and also attended another event for Bravo’s Housewives book that included the Jersey girls.

Teresa’s blog is also up and she starts it off by calling us all “honey”.  She is the most crude, rude and idiotic woman on television and although I vowed after her “F-U Hater’s” blog never to read her blog again, unfortunately I write a blog about the bitch so I’m taking one of the team!   LOL

This woman was on national television telling the world that she doesn’t waste time making her own pizza dough, but uses the pre-made boxed pizza dough and rolls it out.  What a friggin genius, did she forget that when that footage aired, she would be trying to sell her very own cook book?  Now in her blog she boasts about the homemade dough recipes in her book.  She really thinks that we’re all as stupid as she is.  If anyone continues to doubt that this woman did not write this book, this should give you plenty of good reason.  She has no recipes of her own!  Who is she trying to fool?

Teresa playing the happy housewife with no help around the house and making home cooked meals every night is a bunch of bullshit!  I’m not buying one second of it.  She has yet to explain the babysitter present in Episode one.  If you don’t have help, you certainly don’t have a girl there to help you watch your children while you’re at home!   Teresa also fails to mention that her parents live in McMansion with them and help her out with the kids, housework and anything else she needs.  I cannot believe that she can look them in the eye after asking them to hide for the cameras every time Bravo is shooting in their home.  How do you choose a television show and a fake reputation over your own parents who are helping you so much?

Teresa posts the address of the Pizzeria on her blog and tells fans to visit indicating that they “may” see her but that they will absolutely see her husband Joe there if they visit.  What?  Juicy Joe is now a full time pizza maker ?

On one hand I admire this man for doing what he has to do in order to keep his family secure, on the other hand we now know that he has hidden this asset (The Pizzeria and the rental apartments attached) from the Federal Bankruptcy courts, making him a criminal.

Teresa hasn’t stopped talking about Danielle either, with not much to pick on this episode Teresa goes after the boxing scene.  I don’t think that Danielle’s daughters care much about Danielle calling out Teresa and Jacqueline’s names while punching.  The editors could easily have picked and chosen where to input the girls’ faces on the screen to show what they wanted to show.  I’ve gotten pretty good at being able to tell when production is involved in trying to make the audience believe something that may or may not be true.  The bottom line is that Teresa and Jacqueline, even Caroline have all knocked Danielle’s parenting skills this season but the only children who have always been well-behaved are Danielle’s girls.

Say what you want about Danielle, she’s definitely done something right with those two girls.  Yes, Caroline’s kids seem well-adjusted, happy and sociable, however, the ham game is immature and irresponsible.   Two of them have not gone to college and have not gotten jobs out in the real world on their own.  Lauren went to beauty school, so why is she still working as the “Bride’s bitch” at the Brownstone?  Chris didn’t have to pound the pavement looking for work, he fell back into Daddy’s world with absolutely no fear of losing his job to downsizing or poor performance.  Finally, who is paying for all of this schooling that Albie is receiving?  He didn’t have to take out a student loan and worry about a part time job on the side during school in order to eat like the majority of the students.  I’m not saying Caroline’s kids are not good kids, or that they were raised poorly, just that they don’t know what it is like in the real world.

We’ve all seen what Jacqueline has turned out into the world as her first attempt at parenting.  Teresa talks in her blog about how great it is that Jacqueline continues to tell Ashley to do the right thing.  Once again, Teresa is showing her ignorance.  Jacqueline should not have to keep telling Ashley at her age right from wrong, this should have been taught to her years and years ago!

Teresa should not be talking about parenting skills, we’ve never seen a scene with these girls where they have been well-behaved!  With the exception of the newborn, all of Teresa’s kids are spoiled and treat their mother like a dog!  Teresa’s not even bright enough to be embarrassed by their behavior.

This has to be the best ever line in a Teresa Giudice blog:

On Danielle:  But what I want to know is where is she getting the extra money for lawyers for bogus lawsuits? Save your money Danielle and use it for your family, not publicity! And for the record, there is no lawsuit, and my house still isn’t and never has been under foreclosure, thank you, thank you very much.

Wow Teresa, really, you wanted to get into the financial debate?  There is a sale scheduled for mid -August at the Giudice mansion that will sell off all (or most) of their private possessions in order to pay some of their creditors.  No, the house isn’t “under” foreclosure, yet, but it is for sale at a fraction of the 5-million dollar price tag that you screamed at Danielle.

If anyone is in New Jersey and can be present at that sale, I hope you will contact me and write a guest blog about it, I’d love, love, love to hear all of the Juicy details!

Overall while Teresa’s blog did talk about the episode it was also like a mini-Teresa commercial.  She mentioned Juicy Joe’s Pizzeria, complete with address.  Teresa talked about her book, her t-shirts, and her hair accessories for sale on her web site.  I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw Teresa pushing a garage sale next week to sell off (or hide) their personal belongings so that the government can’t sell them out from under her.

In direct contrast to the other children on the show, Danielle doesn’t seem to have to keep lecturing her girls, they are already well-behaved and it is even clear how much these sisters love one another.   Maybe we’re not seeing it all but I bet anything that if these girls were acting up, Bravo would be sure to show the audience!   While I’m not naïve enough to believe everything Danielle says, she did let us know that her girls were doing extremely well in school, we saw them all running together as a family, a pillow fight in the girls room and they both have excellent extra-curricular activities.  Christine a successful model and Jillian is very into music.

It is really a shame that the Jersey housewives have behaved so poorly that they even have people defending Danielle Staub.  I haven’t forgotten her raunchy sex tape, her behavior at a charity event at the Brownstone or her starting that rumble that resulted in the table flip heard round the world.  The fact remains, however, that these other woman continue to obsess with Danielle and her life.  They want to have interaction with her, talk about her, know everything that she’s doing and have turned their own lives upside down.

Jacqueline Laurita even put her own daughter into legal jeopardy because of her obsession with Danielle Staub.  Jacqueline admitted that she can’t ask her daughter to ignore Danielle when she can’t even do it herself.  If the Manzo’s and Laurita’s had only just lived their lives and ignored Danielle, none of this would have happened.  If Jacqueline had refrained from talking about Danielle in front of (or even to) her daughter Ashley, then Ashley would have no reason to hate Danielle.

Caroline even disappointed me by defending Ashley’s behavior, no one will convince me that Caroline really thinks that Ashley was “defending” Jacqueline.  Caroline adds that Danielle “went after” Dina, Jacqueline and then Ashley.  When exactly did she do that Caroline?  When did Danielle “go after” any of these women?  In each and every instance, Danielle was reacting to what they did or said to her.  Forgive me if I’m mistaken but it seems to me that Danielle was trying to befriend Jacqueline, or at least try to repair some of the damage that had been done.  The same could be true of Dina.

Caroline, Jacqueline, Dina and Teresa have all alluded to the fact that there is way more to the story and that Danielle has done so many more horrific things that did not appear on screen.  So, what are these horrible things?  Why haven’t we heard about them?  Why wouldn’t Bravo’s producers show them to us?  What is the big secret?  Are these women protecting Danielle by not telling us everything?  Why would they do that?  What is the big secret?  What has she done that can’t be shared with the audience?

Personally, I don’t believe there is anything.  Dina tried to insinuate that Danielle was following her around and that people kept telling Dina not to leave (shops and restaurants) because Danielle was waiting outside for her.  Why wouldn’t Dina leave?  Is she scared of Danielle?  Does she think Danielle will physically harm her?  If so, why didn’t she inform the police and get a restraining order?

Jacqueline acts like a 12-year old with a secret she can’t spill on the playground.  If there were any seriously horrible things that Danielle has done, we know that Ms. Twitter World couldn’t keep it to herself.  Monday afternoon Jacqueline freaked out on Twitter when she heard about Danielle’s phone call to police about Danielle’s alleged blackmail attempt.  Ms. Twitter World Drama Queen (Jacqueline) freaked out saying that Danielle is putting them all in danger.  Really Jacqueline?  How exactly does this affect your life?  It doesn’t!  Jacqueline’s blog is over 6-pages long and I just can’t face it!

In other news, our very own Bethenny Frankel appeared on The View yesterday in Elisabeth Hassleback’s absence!  I thought she looked amazing and did a great job of getting a few words in edgewise with these snarky women!  Bethenny was funny, intelligent and sharp as a tack!  With the exception of Joy Bahr, the ladies seemed to welcome Bethenny warmly.

Bethenny even tweeted that the ladies were warm and open to her guest appearance.

Bethenny made a statement, when asked, about breast feeding and mentioned that it was hard.  Joy decided to contradict Bethenny at all costs and said, “No it’s not!”.  In her own special Joy snarky way!  Sorry Joy, not everyone is as perfect as you and the vast majority of women would probably agree with Bethenny that while it may not be the toughest thing in the whole world to do, it is also not at all what would be called “easy”.  Yes Joy, ya bitch, it is hard for many women.

Breast feeding is a very touchy subject for many women.  Because there are radical groups out there who feel that women who do not or cannot breast feed are sub-standard mothers.  These women have even caused some women to inadvertently starve their children because they’re brainwashed to believe that if they don’t breast feed, their children are being abused.  The fact is that some women just cannot breast feed.  That doesn’t make them a bad mother or inadequate provider, it makes them human.

Yes Joy, ya bitch, it is hard!   A great article on this very subject was written by my friend at Absurd To Sublime, if you haven’t read it yet, you should…

http://absurdtosublime.net/  there’s also a great article about Bethenny’s show!

Sherri Shepard looked absolutely ridiculous on the show yesterday, her outfit had to have been chosen by someone who hates her with the passion of a white hot nova!

Whoopi, to me, always looks sloppy and like she just rolled out of bed but that’s Whoopi.  I noticed that she was also looking down at her notes while interviewing the guy from Mad Men.  That troubled me only because while looking at her notes, out of her mouth came her supposed personal opinion of the man’s performance.  It is clear to me that there is very little prep time put into this show if even Whoopi’s personal opinions have to be indicated on idiot cards sitting on her lap.  Whoopi, get out while you still can!!!

I rarely watch The View and only did yesterday because Bethenny was co-hosting.  If you missed Bethenny on the view, you can watch the full episode here:

http://abc.go.com/watch/the-view/167365

If anyone hasn’t yet checked out Bethenny’s web site, it really is a great site.  Unlike some other housewives sites that are full of bragging about lounging in the Hamptons all summer, Bethenny’s site is full of great tips, recipes and videos.

I’m still open to anyone who’d like to guest blog.  I noticed that some of you out there enjoy Work of Art and Double Exposure.  I have seen these shows but am honestly not interested enough to blog about them, however, I’d be happy to post a guest blog if anyone’s writing about them (or any show).  Feel free to blog about show’s that I’ve already blogged about as well, it is always great to hear other points of view.  The only exception is I won’t re-print a blog that has already been posted elsewhere.  Guest blogs should be original.  Thanks everyone!

After posting this blog, I decided to check out Jacqueline’s comments on her blog just to see how the fans were rolling, here is one that justifies my decision (in my mind anyway) not to read the whole thing…

    Shamar
    Bravo please post
Seriously Jacqueline, you mentioned Danielle’s name 85 times in a 6 page blog and you don’t think it’s an obssession. Your entire blog is full of he said, she said, and assumptions. You ‘joisy’ housewives are full of hate and bad energy. It’s time for Bravo to pull the plug on RHWNJ. Danielle would have been chewed up and spitted out if it was her blogging negativity. Jacqueline this blog is not a good look for you. You were truly my favorite in past episodes. You, your friend and your family are not better than Danielle because she talks crap about you guys and vice versa. Get a life and grow up.

  2. Noreen says:

Thank you for calling out Joy. She has become such a downer lately. I think she must be burning it from both ends with two shows. I have not watched the entire episode but will do so tonight. Great blog and insight as usual. Thanks.

  3. Laura aka Just done says:

    Lynn,

I’ll be going to Teresa’s garage sale, ummm…I mean, auction. 🙂 I promise to take pictures and write about the experience. Heck, I might even e-mail you the pics right from my phone! LOL

Thanks for this blog, although my housework is suffering! Thankfully, I’m a real believer in the crock pot, if not, my kids wouldn’t be eating!

As for Alex’s comments, I agree with you in that I do not agree with her, but she is entitled to her opinion. As for the trash that is RHNJ, I am ashamed to say I’m from NJ if these ladies are going to represent NJ housewives. I know I am NOTHING like them.

Thanks again for the blog. I love reading everyone’s insights, and agreeing or disagreeing amicably.

    Laura

Laura, I’m SOOO Happy that you’re going to the garage sale….er auction! Do you know if it is set up as an auction type sale or if it will just be everything price tagged for purchase? I think we all know that Teresa will spend the next few weeks hiding all of the best stuff over at the Manzo’s house LOL

Enjoy Laura, I can’t wait to hear all about it!!! I don’t EVER judge the good people of New Jersey by the show RHONJ ! I know better!

You’re right, Alex is entitled to her opinion just as we all are, but I wanted to point out mine in contrast to hers. I still love Alex!

      • Laura aka Just done says:

        Lynn,

I have no details on the auction yet. My b/f has agreed to come with me, and we are only about 20 minutes away so I am so excited! If anyone hears anything about the auction that they think might be helpful, please post. Thanks

As for Alex, I love Alex too. And I still hate Jill Zarin! Thanks again for this blog Lynn. I have met so many wonderful people here.

Not to sound bossy – But YES you will go and you will also blog about every minute of it. You will take a picture of whatever it is you end up buying and it will become part of a banner when someone starts the I hate Teresa blog.

When you deliver the goods, we will be indebted to you for the rest of our lives. This is a mission on behalf of all things that are good that you cannot pass up. In HW world this is equivalent to the first man who walked on the moon.

5 stars blog Lynn! Wish and hope you are doing great after the flu. This was posted by Kats2 -I have never had so much fun!

        • BamaBelle says:

          Laura…

Keep checking your local newspaper for details on the auction. I would think it will be published there. I can’t wait for you to go, and hopefully take pictures, but I’ll bet anything that Teresa and Joe have already hid the “good stuff”…

If the time is set at say 7:00 am, every auction I have attended, we got there way before time because usually they hand out numbers so everybody isn’t trying to rush in at once. Some auctions I have attended let in only a certain number of people at a time.

I don’t know how a bankruptcy auction is run, my experiences are with Estate Sales and auctions of that kind… GOOD LUCK!

          • Maxine49 says:

One can only hope and pray that Danielle is there, too. I doubt the Giudice will be there or even will be allowed to be there if indeed the auction takes place. It depends what happens with the trustee’s motion to dismiss the bankruptcy due to fraud. I haven’t heard yet if there has been a ruling. Anyway, be prepared for the auction to be either delayed or canceled.

  4. Zoey says:

Thank you Lynn! I wish I’d have found you guys while NY was still on the air, since I can’t get too into NJ.

I saw a link on a previous comment to Fame Game, which I’d never heard of. So I went there and looked up Kelly Bensimon’s page. Then I did something silly to amuse myself…
There were two links to her page, for some reason. I clicked on the first, it took me to her page, and rated her with all zeros; just blank. I went back to the original page and clicked on the second listing of her name, and it took me to her correct page.

So….I went to her Twitter page and pasted a link to the FIRST blank page, just to see if she freaks out and calls/emails/ yells at them to correct the 0% page before someone thinks she isn’t somebody!

  5. nanaluvsreality says:

I have been trying to stay away from The New Jersey “girls” because quite frankly they just no longer appeal to me. I did break down and read Jacqueline’s blog and she is as guilty as the rest of them. She was loving the drama and now trying to tell us the viewers otherwise. Does she think we are stupid? I believe Ashley when she said that her Mom is two-faced. She was probably standing right over her shoulders snickering and giggling when she typed that on Facebook about Danielle. She just did not want her husband Chris to get upset. I am not a fan of Danielle’s at all but I could not imagine for a second her daughters doing what Ashley did. Speaking of which, how come Ashley did not ask her Mom if she was alright if she thought Danielle indeed did hit her? One more thing, last week I watched the Chris Rock, documentary, “Good Hair” and I saw how they sew in “weaves” so even if she did pull out them it would STILL hurt. lol This New Jersey series is a hot mess and I for one would not be heart broken if they took it off. Leave the other Real Housewives shows on of course. Better yet, get a whole NEW cast with class, morals and manners.

  6. DesertGal says:

    Great blog, as always, Lynn!

I gotta say to all the Housewives – when it comes to the talking head interviews and the blogs, leave the underage kids out of your summaries.

I mean, I like Alex. But who is she to presume what Christine is thinking? And that’s just one example of many of housewives yapping about other housewives’ kids. Enough already. All the housewives need a guideline – if the kid is under 18, just leave them alone. Being a kid is hard enough without a bunch of adults passing less than informed judgment on what they must think and how they must feel, etc. on television and in blogs.

    • Squirrels says:

I love Alex, too and totally agree with your gal.

      • BamaBelle says:

I love Alex, too… but agree with you all.

Alex sure didn’t like Jill or any other of the NY Housewives talking about or giving her advice on her two boys. Alex should keep quiet on commenting on the other’s children, unless they’re 18 or older and have their own blog. There’s no way she could know what Christine could have possibly been thinking.

  7. sandi c says:

Excellent point that Jac is like a 12 year old with a secret but there’s nothing to back up Jac’s secret that would shock us or surprise us about Danielle. So D’s a whore or a slut or a felon or a druggie or this and that…yawn, we already know all that our brains can handle about D and her crap life. Who cares, D is becoming the star of the show and Jac is fading behind her screwed up daughter. The cast deserves to be part of a show with dirty D and her posse. Team Manzo does nothing interesting and frigging Teresa and her 10 year marriage and 11 million debt just hurts my head when I do the math.

    • Squirrels says:

Breaking it down in its most simplistic form. 10 years = $1.1 million per year of shopping not paid for. Now, we’ve seen T dole out cash like it was a Monopoly game, which could add another say…. $200K per year? Then again, I wouldn’t be surprised if Joe and Teresa have a money tree out back which drops $100 bills into a bird feed bin with a lock on it.

      • Maxine49 says:

OK, this is how the Giudices got some of their money. First they had mortgages on all their three houses…in once case they had three mortgages on a single house and the mortgages far exceeded the market value of the house. Second, Fireplug Joe was alleged to have forged a business partner’s name to yet another mortgage or loan and pocketed the proceeds of the $1M mortgage.loan. They took a $60, 000 deposit on a piece of property and failed to return it (they are being sued for that). They then stiffed most of the contractors and materials men who worked on the monstrosity fun house in Towaco. They apparently have a laundromat—that’s a cash cow—and you just know they put most of that cash into their pockets tax free. It goes on and on…but the gig is up for the Giudices—we’re all on to them now—including both the IRS and state tax authorities, plus the DA’s office.

  8. Rabble Rouser says:

    Great blog Lynn,
I was happy to see that as much as your obviously enjoy Simon and Alex on a personal level that you are comfortable enough to say when you disagree with them.

I’ve commented on the previous blog on how I felt about Alex’s guest commentaries over the last few weeks. I won’t get too deep into it again other to say Alex really missed the mark on this one.

The Manzo’s/Laurita’s/Giudices just need to get off Danielle’s square tits. No one gives a shit about all the vague accusations you all make about Danielle, someone here once said ‘the devil is in the details’ and I agree. The big holes in their stories are there to protect themselves- and nothing they say make any sense.

The cast of this show can be summed up pretty neatly, despicable people doing despicable things to each other.

P.S. I am blocked by Danielle on twitter- and I am working on Jac. I want to see how many of these idiots I can annoy. I think I might message Teresa and ask if there is ample parking outside her house because I am making travel arrangements for her impending ‘garage sale’.

    • Zoey says:

Good one. Give us an update after. Or maybe we should all ask about parking, and which bathroom to use while we are there! She would love that.

      • Rabble Rouser says:

I posted this in reply to her info about her book signing.

@Teresa_Giudice Sorry, can’t make it. But I hope 2CU at the auction in Aug. What type of parking is available? I want those Gucci glasses!

Add to it and call dibs on those couches 😉

      • debbie says:

Enough parking at the Juicy-dices? I was thinking maybe Teresa can arrange for Chris Manzo to help with Valet Parking..the driveway is big enough.. and it’s something one would come to expect at such a prestigious Event. Maybe Albie can help as well..He won’t be in law school again until the fall and seemingly doesn’t work too often at the Brownstone..maybe he can find the time to help the “Family” And camera friendly Danielle can certainly help with the filming!

        • Rabble Rouser says:

I can’t see Chris being an willing valet, unless of course he is willing to be paid in frickin ugly sweaters and red sauce made sans a woman’s period.

But I am sure that Elvira is willing to plan the whole event-provided Bravo would film it.

        • Jules says:

Maybe Joe can sell pizza by the slice at the auction. He could then just hand over every dollar he makes to the bankruptcy trustee. Yeah, and if the Manzos are really friends Lauren could do makeovers, Chris could wash people cars, and The Brownstone could cater the event with all proceeds going to the bankruptcy trustee. Maybe by then Teresa’s makeup line will be out, and she can sell it at the auction too.

Teresa has been wearing so much makeup this season that I think someone should come out with a tee shirt like the one you saw around years ago, that said “I ran into Tammy Faye Baker at the Mall”. The image on it looked liked someone had actually run straight into her face and her makeup came off on the shirt.

  9. debbie says:

    Lynn,
I really believe the reason Teresa posted the address of the pizzeria, is to lure in Fans. She “might” be there and Joe “will” be there is probably a desperate way to drive in much needed business(ie..cash).
On a side note, she blogged that 600 people showed up at her book signing last weekend. I find that unbelievable…and if that’s the case, they should already have a line around the block waiting for a ‘slice’ of pizza and more unadulterated bullshit.
I don’t think I can continue to watch RHONJ. People that believe the idiocy they spew are evidence of the Dumbing Down of America.
I don’t even want to get started on Ash-hole… I can’t go there. Too pathetic.
I will continue to read your blog however. It’s honest and snarky, funny and on point.
You were also on point re: Danielle, her daughters and the rest of the “Crew.”

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Dumbzilla is “math challenged” she wrote 600 because she didn’t know how to write 60. But she does have her PhD in Buying, Lying, Denying – education is what you make of it!

    • Squirrels says:

I think she’s mentioning it in an effort to show they always knew they owned it, just forgot to add it to the assets. Nothing hidden here folks, nothing to see, move on…. (cough)

    • vilzvet says:

Nope, I don’t believe the 600 figure either. I went to Alex and Simon’s signing, als0 on a Friday night, and they had maybe 50 people, good enough for a busy weekend night! It was a warm and intimate setting, and we were able to stand at the table and chat individually for a couple of minutes. Nice.

Didn’t someone here mention that if the bankruptcy petition is thrown out there WOULDN’T be a “garage sale”? I have to go back and look, but someone explained it here perfectly of the what-if’s.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

The Chap 7 was to protect them from their debts – which they aren’t getting to the extent of a fresh start! Their petition upon review by the trustee means the trustee determines what they get to keep, what they have to pay back and what they will use (via sale) to satisfy those debts. Since filing it sounds like some of their property was foreclosed on – those with mulitple mortages maybe not as there is likely more than one bank to satisfy – one may take the property as it’s value satisfies that outstanding loan – but the other banks are still owed what was borrowed! At the end of the day, the Mansion could very well be theirs if they can qualify for a mortgage after their debts are paid and they find someone willing to give them a mortage! The lying was not just about assets but about income – so we will see….. the Guidices don’t fit the profile for Chapter 7 and the funny financials are still being detangled with new assets and sources of income popping up!

I have attended many Estate Auctions and have gotten some really cool things for a fraction of their worth – so who is there and how they bid/spend can sometimes be well under the value placed on items and not fetch them the money they are expecting. There are many government ordered auctions that are also open to online bidding – if this is one – at the very least there will be a catalog on line to see the various items and what online bidders are doing. The day of the auction both people registered at the location, online and telephone bidders will battle it out! IMO the Guidice’s will have people bidding for them on various items. Hope this helps!

        • BamaBelle says:

YEP… I didn’t think about that, I’m sure Teresa will have friends and family bidding on things they want to keep-if they haven’t already hauled off the valuables. I sure wouldn’t put it past them. The Guidices are nothing but a bunch of crooks and frauds, but what gets me is… Teresa has the nerve to call Danielle broke KNOWING what bad financial shape they were/are in. You don’t get 11 million in debt over-night!

      • Jules says:

Yes, I think it was Maxine49, and she maybe correct. If the bankruptcy gets thrown out altogether than the trustee will no longer be in charge of their property. However, if the IRS gets involved there might be an auction as some point, or their property might simply be seized by the IRS to cover back taxes. They will lose it one way or the other with in a matter of time.

To make matters worse alot of people that intend to keep their homes after a bankruptcy stop making payments during the bankruptcy, because they are not technically required to because of the stay. So they may well be 1 million dollars behind on their mortgage payments, and if this is the case, unless they can up with all the money to bring the payment current, they will probably be foreclosed on anyway.

      • Sue says:

Were you at the Syosset book signing on Friday night? I was there also, front row. I thought that they were fabulous.

I loved how they took the time to answer all of our questions. Very intimate.

    • Maxine49 says:

Debbie, it’s even worse—they carry this how around the world! OMG—what must go through the minds of people who watch it—America, oh America—is this the best we can do? Oh the horror of it….!

      • Maxine49 says:

Sorry for above typo—“they carry this ‘show’ around the world”

          From People Tv Watch:
Will Teresa Giudice Have to Auction Her Pool Table to Pay Bills?
          July 22, 2010

There’s more financial trouble brewing for The Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s Teresa Giudice.

Last October, Teresa and her husband Joe filed for bankruptcy, listing almost $11 million in debt. Now, a trustee assigned to their bankruptcy case is alleging that the pair concealed financial records.

John Sywilok, whose responsibility as a trustee is to round up the Giudices’ assets and distribute the proceeds to creditors, claims in court documents dated June 30 that the couple failed to list profits from several business, including Teresa’s clothing line TG Fabulicious LLC, a pizza parlor (which was shown in an episode of Real Housewives) and her cookbook, Skinny Italian, which he claims was written prior to the bankruptcy filing.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the Giudices are also accused of undervaluing luxury items listed as personal property in the bankruptcy filing, including a pool table ($1,000), wedding bands ($400) and living room furniture ($2,000). Sywilok wants to hold a public auction to sell the items inside their famous mansion in Towaco, N.J., the paper reports.

But an attorney for the Giudices, Jim Kridel, says things needn’t go that far, and he plans to object to the filing in court, saying they did not hide sources of income. “The contract for Teresa’s book was signed after the bankruptcy petition was filed, and all money was received post petition,” he says, adding that the law allows the Giudices to freely spend money earned after they filed for bankruptcy.

“If she knew the recipes, it doesn’t take four years to write a cook book,” he says. “It’s not a Mary Higgins Clark novel.”

As for the pizzeria, it is owned by Joe’s father, Kridel says, and therefore should never have been considered an asset at the time of the filing.

Kridel also points out that auctioning personal property may not yield much money to be divided up among creditors. “You can’t sell used, personal property for the sticker price,” he says. “A $5,000 chandelier won’t sell for $5,000. Nobody will buy a used mattress. The real issue in bankruptcy is, what’s the value of everything? And at the time of the bankruptcy, these things didn’t have any value.”

A hearing on the matter has yet to be scheduled.

Giudice couldn’t immediately be reached for comment. –Charlotte Triggs

  10. RAR24 says:

You have really gone off the deep end on an insignificant show, Lynn.

With all due respect, you are getting way to worked up over this. Your twitter attacks on Ashley have crossed the line. You write about everyone’s obsession with Danielle, and then you turn right around show the same behavior toward Ashley.

Ashley is a troubled teenager. She grew up without her real father in her life and most likely suffers from extremely low self-esteem as a result of this. Then this felon – yes Danielle is a convicted felon who was charged with most heinous crimes, which are completely unforgiveable, attacks her family. She tried to get Dina’s daughter taken away from her. That is 100% despicable. Ashley, being a typically cocky teenager (yes, we all were) is caught up defending herself against Danielle attacking her and her family on the internet.

Instead of everyone blowing this off and ignoring her, which would make this all stop, you and all other sorts of busybodies step in and attack her too. This makes you no better than Danielle, a convicted, psychotic, delusional felon. You buy into the “poor Danielle didn’t deserve anything, she never did anything wrong…” crap and attack the troubled teenager.

If you pull hair our of someone’s head – IT BLEEDS!!!!!!! No mention of that whatsoever, huh? there was no blood on that chunk of hair either. So for those of you playing at home and buying into the pity-party, I feel sorry for you. You are lacking observation skills and yet feel the need to hold these realty “stars” to some great power. You sit in judgement of a troubled kid whose father has obviously rejected her and whose mother tried to make up for it by spoiling her. It doesn’t make her a bad kid, it makes her badly in need of mature adult guidance. You heard her aunt say she was there for her now. Let her family take care of this. Stop harrassing her on twitter. Stop talking about her on twitter.

Now Jill, on the other hand IS fair game. She doesn’t get to give out bad advice and not expect to be criticized. She set herself up royally all over the internet by attacking everyone who gave her book a bad review. She gets to call anyone she feels like a “moron, antisemetic, toxic” etc. However, her family is not actually involved. Should anyone feel the need to attack her daughter, however, I would hope that people would step up and tell them to back off.

The troubled teenager, Ashley, IS involved in family drama. It should be left there. Again, I am very ashamed of Bravo for exploiting her and giving her a blog. That was tacky, and I am more and more turned off by this network’s antics. They are getting more and more trashy-Jerry-Springer-like by the show. There’s not a chance in hell of me watching RHDC knowing that Bravo was behind the White House dinner fiasco that put lives and jobs in jeopardy.

Seriously though – these shows are not mandatory. Take a deep breath before attacking anyone on twitter or through their blogs. Destroying someone’s mood for a feeling of entitlement is not a good use of time.

    • sandi c says:

It’s clear that Ashley has a good relationship with her bio dad…if you know what the heck is going on with this cast. Ashley’s blog is a good window into her adult screwed up brain and her fame whore ways. Ashley interviewed with Andy the premier night of HoNJ at The Brownstone. She interviewed that she was looking foreward to her storyline for next season. Ashley is worthy of full on housewife chatter, and she likes it, that’s why she has a blog. Play with the big girls pay with the big girls. She’s an adult.

    • Rabble Rouser says:

Ashley is legally an adult- and therefore far game. There are kids her age and younger with riffles in their hands-and are prepared to die for this country (USA) but you don’t seem to think that a now 19 year old shouldn’t be called out on her actions.

The problem is everyone has a story nowadays. ‘I come from a broken home’….’People teased me because I wore glasses’ or whatever it is, while it might be a sad little tale, at the end of the day we all make own on choices.

I got news for you, hair doesn’t bleed. The scalp might, but since the hair in question was no longer attached to the head I don’t see why or how there would be blood on it.

I don’t think any of us think we HAVE to watch the show. I didn’t think it was against the Nelson rating rules to watch and SNARK about what we saw.

      • KirksvilleMo says:

Having your hair pulled hurts like hell and scalp is sore for a couple of weeks.RRis correct it does NOT bleed unless there is scalp attached.I know this for a fact as it happened to me many times.

    • MAMAZ says:

Talk about going off the deep end!
Do you have a personal stake in this?
Ashley is a troubled teen but who said her father rejected her? She has said that she is very close to her father and his new family. She visited them recently in Texas.
Danielle is a convicted felon. But her crimes took place 20 some years ago. Since she is not a repeat offender we can assume she has learned something from her past mistakes and has changed. Even convicted felons are due protection under the law. Like it or not pulling someones hair is an assualt. Ashley paid a small fine. She didn’t go to prison or serve on a chain gang. And she giggles about it every chance she gets. She continues to taunt Danielle in interviews and the Bravo blogs. She hasn’t learned a thing.
As for our powers of observation they don’t really mattter. We may sit in judgement on Ashley here but a real live judge issued the punishment not Lynn and not us.
Ashley is a legal adult. She appears on a television show just like Jill Zarin. And she subject to the same accountability for her actions.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Ashley is not a teenager, nor do I believe she was ever a typical teenager. Moodiness goes with the territory. Assault doesn’t go with the territory. By her current age she knows the legal ramifications, she clearly doesn’t care because it is all about hating – and I don’t think Danielle is the real target of her hatred – it is herself, it is her mother and it is her life that she has done nothing with!
Hate, like love, is learned at home. Her parents have clearly not done the hard work up front to produce a well mannered, respectful, educated, motivated person – they are partly to blame for her behavior but she is of legal age as she loves to state and she does what she wants as she clearly states, so the consequences are clearly hers as the LAW states.
I just can’t defend Ashley, I have seen no redeeming quality or remorsefulness for her behavior – her blogging proves that.

These are just television shows – these are just our opinions and observations. I have yet to hear on this blog anyone say that these little dramas are hurting their own lives and relationships (so we all let the housework slide – this is as good an excuse as any) so if anyone was here for anything more than the absurd silliness that reality television is – I would be surprised.

As for Jill – I agree with you 100%! And for the record – I still hate Zarin.

    • Squirrels says:

I suppose Danielle should never have given Ashley all those rides to school because she “missed” the bus. I admit to doing the same for my best friend’s son last year. This year? Walk buddy. You are 16 and won’t get a job so you can get your license (even though there is a car waiting for you when you do), and keep pumping Mom who has been on her own with zero support for 10 years for cash. Another recipe for disaster.

    • emt2 says:

Lynn is entitled to her opinion about Ashley. Ashley says that she is an adult. Jacqueline says that she is an adult. Ashley has opened herself up for criticism by participating in public media forums such as Facebook, twitter and her Bravo blog so let’s not pretend that Ashley is sitting her room somewhere being quiet. She is courting this attention and more importantly she is waging a very public war against Danielle by trying to rally troops on Facebook and Twitter. She has admitted this and she has also admitted that she wants to destroy Danielle.

Sorry but Ashley is fair game.

    • Maxine49 says:

Rar24, you are sooo wrong about Danielle—you do NOT know the facts. Read the court papers…they are widely available online. Heinous crimes you say? Don’t make me laugh!. She plead guilty to one charge of extortion and got 5 years probation. Heinous crimes are best left to describe the Jeffrey Dahmers of the world. Try getting a grip on reality.

    • LynnNChicago says:

I have to respectfully disagree with a few of your points. First Ashley IS fair game, she is being treated like any other cast mate on RHONJ in that she has just as much air time (if not more) than Caroline, she has her talking head interviews and even a blog on Bravotv.com.

Ashley is on twitter yapping about herself, the housewives and even attacked Danielle’s 15-year old daughter on Twitter.

She did NOT grow up without a father as Jacqueline said she’d been with Chris since Ashley was 5 years old and Ashley also claims to have a very close relationship with her father.

I don’t know what your teen years were like but when you say “we all did” when you refer to Ashley’s behavior I beg to differ. I would NEVER ever even consider calling my mother a “bitch” or talk to her the way Ashley talks to Jacqueline. Additionally my children NEVER ever talk to me that way either!

Yes, these shows are mandatory, yet I choose to watch, keep in mind that following me on Twitter is also mandatory and I’m NOT going to change my opinions on Twitter either.

While I’ve never pulled a huge chunk of hair out of a woman’s head who had hair extensions the way Ashley did but I have to disagree that it bleeds, I don’t think that it does. Ashely did not deny, in fact she bragged about pulling Danielle’s hair so I’m not sure what you’re disputing there.

I think I can choose what is and is not a good use of my time all on my own, thanks!

To DesertGal: …About underage kids…it’s futile to try to control what is said, or control blogs about the underage kids. Tough crap for the kids but their parents put them out into the spotlight and there’s little protection for kids in the reality unscripted non union genre. GE/Bravo will not stop and the parents know it and will not stop. Screw the kids, screw the paycheck…these women go on reality shows because they want to and they don’t care what anyone says about their kids. Write to your lawmakers and make some laws because no laws exist and no one cares how the kids are going to feel. These “see you next tuesday” bitches want fame and they laugh at people who care about their kids.

Guess what folks, we haven’t had a problem since that meeting of the minds! And he still loves me!

        • Maxine49 says:

LOL, kids have no “constitutional rights of free speech” against their parents! Freedom of speech is a right was have as citizens against the government. There is no private right of free speech; it is a public right. For example, we have no right of free speech on this blog. Lynn can do whatever she pleases…it’s her blog. And even the “public” right of free speech is not without its limits. To quote a famous Supreme Court case: “there is no right to cry ‘fire’ in a crowded theatre.”

Thin crust “Grandma’s” pizza is awesome and delicious! I certainly hope you have it out there. It’s very popular here in NY as well as the more common thick Sicilian style. But now the trend is all the gourmet stuff on top, lettuce(!), BBQ chicken, artichokes, feta cheese, the list goes on.

          • Quincy IL says:

My father first saw a pizza in WW2 in New Port RI when he was in the Navy. My mother and father said that there was no pizza in the Chicago area at that time. Thin..thick… I will eat anything called “Pizza.”

BTW… I was teasing about “one of us.” LOL>

            • error404 says:

I grew up in RI and the pizza there is rectangular with a crust that is neither thick nor thin, but somewhere in between, and easy on the cheese. To this day I still hate a really overloaded with cheese pizza.

They also sell pizza strips in the bakery in RI that comes with just sauce and no cheese or anything. I wonder what your dad tried.

OT but my dad was in the navy too and in RI, which is how he met my mom.

back to pizza, “salad pizza” is popular here now. *shudders* It’s literally a salad dumped on top of a pizza. *shudders again* See, I order my pizza, and then a side salad that, you know, stays crisp and cold.

I’m a NY gal, too, and I love the back flip fold over cheese pizza with a little oregano. They don’t use much cheese on pizza in Italy…does not cover the entire pie and is not shredded—it’s typically slices of mozzarella.

  15. Quincy IL says:

Lynn, Christine said something at the boxing gym. I think it was “you are really into this.” The words were on the bottom of the screen. Christine told Danielle to “stop it” at the table flipping restaurant parking lot. Christine also called Danielle a stalker in the car while they were stalking the Manzo party. I think the look on her face mentioned by Alex is significant and indicates that someone in the Staub household knows they are on camera. I can’t remember the words of the cute scene where Christine said all men wanted from Danielle was sex.

Everyone has problems with their moms when they are teenagers. Can you imagine having Danielle as a mom? No wonder those girls are so mature. It’s called survival.

    • dumberries says:

I watched Season 1 and that was a cute (but kinda weird) scene. Christine told her mom that men just wanted to get her “goodies”. Lol..

No offense to Chicago, but my only experience was getting onto the loop and not knowing where the hell to get off. I felt like “Charlie of the MTA”, except even a nickel wasn’t going to help. Nice loop though.

    😀

    • Quincy IL says:

Totally understand that Loop issue. I used to get off at Addison and the Cubs fans would sometimes trap me on the train. I actually ended up lost in the Loop on those days.

    • Rawhideaz says:

Chicago IS difficult because it’s street and freeway system is SO old. Sometimes there are off ramps . . . but no on ramps. Weird things like that. Once I was driving there trying to get back to our NW suburb . . . and ended up in Indiana. I stopped at a convenience store and said . . . where am I??? Indiana . . . that’s where ya doorknob.

      • Quincy IL says:

LOL…. Same here. I know the North side and the Lake County area, but get lost when I go south of The Museum of Science and Industry.

i lived in riverside as a child, learned to skate on the lagrange river and walked to the brookfield zoo every week in the summer. can’t remember much about downtown, but the railroad ran behind our first house on burlington and we always to the el to shop. i loved living there. when i got to be 6, i was allowed to walk up the street to the bakery and buy the daily bread, hot from the oven. there were never any crusts as i ate them on the way home. i was so lucky. then dad was transferred to ohio and i think i have been unhappy ever since, in a small way. can’t afford to live there now!

  17. Ellabean says:

Well, ….I bought the SkinnyGirl Margerita stuff. My local dumpy liquor store got 4 bottles in. $ 15.99 / a bottle. I see the other 3 bottles remain for days now.

So its summer. New Jersey in the midst of its annual Disgusting Humidity Festival. I am competing in the Frizzy Hair runoff. I am normally a boring wine drinker. That’s all. But …..I just cannot drink any wine in this heat.

I need a new summer refreshing drink . And vodka isn’t quite cutting it.
So I think I like this SkinnyMarg stuff. Had it over lots of ice and added a bunch of fresh lime juice.

Tipping a glass to you, bloggers.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Cheers – stay cool, humidity and frizzy hair go with summer like tequila and lime!

    • Rawhideaz says:

What the alcohol content? Do you have to drink the whole bottle to get a bit looped?

    • Wendy says:

      Cheers Ella

      • MAMAZ says:

Is it any good? I confess I’m more of a dry vodka martini girl(no freaking Cosmos – too sweet and too pink) but I’d like to try it.

        • Rawhideaz says:

Can someone explain to me what the deal is with all of these different martinis? I thought a martini was straight booze with a drop or two of vermouth. It seems like mixed drinks are now being called martinis as it’s the hip thing. And I’m so dang hip – doncha know!

          • MAMAZ says:

Rawhidez – That’s the kind of martini I like. Vodka with just a tiny splash of vermouth. An old school Mad Men style vodka martini. All these Cosmos and Appletinis are too cloying. I’ve been known to drink a Pomtini now and then for dessert though.
Most of the new martinis are made with flavored vodka and one or two juices of some sort. And maybe even some type of liquer thrown in. They can be deceptively strong so watch out when drinking them.

            • Rawhideaz says:

I LOVE Mad Men. Jon Hamm makes my heart beat faster. SUCH a stud!

            • Rawhideaz says:

              Thanks for the explanation Mama!

            • error404 says:

Remember when you’re biggest choice was did you want an snickers bar, or some m&ms? Now it’s like snickers dark, almond snickers, smores snickers, or m&m plain, peanut, almond, crunch, dark, peanut butter, etc…

          • WindyCityWondering says:

I like my martini with gin and a twist! But a dirty martini can qualify as dinner…. never got into the sweet cocktails.

    • cajpgh says:

The Wine and Spirits State run stores in Pgh do not carry the premixed SGM so I tried the recipe I saw in an earlier blog and …it is pretty darn good. Although I may have held the “2 count” of tequila a bit longer than suggested but it is a refreshing cocktail and not too sweet.

    • Maxine49 says:

Ellabean, Skiny Girl Margaritas are flying of the shelf in my local Bottle Shop. It’s $15.99 here, too, in Massachusetts. I’m on bottle #4—but I gave one bottle to my sister…and she’s done with here now, too. I really enjoy it. I didn’t salt the rim of my glass. Did you?

    • BamaBelle says:

      Ellabean,

I have a really refreshing and simple Frozen Lime Margarita recipe….

      Frozen Lime Margarita…

One can of frozen Bacardi’s limeade.
Add the frozen limeade into a blender.
      Add 1/2 cup of tequila.
Fill the blender with crushed ice… about 2 cups.
      Blend until smooth.
Rim your glass with a lime wedge, then add the salt.

Enjoy!… I think that’s right, anyway the recipe is on the Bacardi’s frozen limeade can. Everybody LOVES them… let me know what you think if you try it.

Another good summer drink is a Kentucky Lemonade…

      Kentucky Lemonade Recipe…

Pour 1 shot of Jack Daniels Whiskey into a highball glass.
Add 2 tablespoons of thawed frozen lemonade… stir together in glass.
Add about 5 cubes of ice… about a cup of crushed ice.
      Fill glass with 1 cup of lemon-lime soda… I use Sprite… stir.
Add a maraschino cherry for garnish.

      Everybody LOVES this one, too.

I had to wait a few weeks to try SGM because Costco sold out of the first shipment in a few days. Last weekend I bought a few bottles at Costco in San Jose (CA) for $9.99 and I find it to be a quite good, light cocktail, perfect for when you don’t want to fuss. I’m going to buy a few more bottles to share with some friends during an upcoming girls weekend.

  18. kats2 says:

Hi Everyone! This won’t be a popular comment or move but based on the two blogs that Alex wrote about this whole NJ HW situation with Danielle I stopped following her on Twitter. I can’t stand Danielle, but I think how she was treated during that event at the Country Club was really sad. I was shocked that Alex didn’t call the right people out (Specifically when Teresa has trashed Bethenny and Sonja). I guess I expected more and would have preferred if she just passed on the whole blogging thing for NJ, they’re trash and she shouldn’t lower herself.

    • error404 says:

I don’t know how much Bravo pays her, but if I’d lost my job, was trying to brand myself and push a book for sale, had a mortgage on a muti-million dollar town house as well as two kids in fufu private school, and had evil Jill Zarin trying to get me and my husband fired, I’d be begging Andy Cohen for the job. Hell, I’d write that Danielle is trying to kill Caroline if it would pay my mortgage. I find it hard to take sides when everyone on RHONJ is just so equally awful.

Other than that, I’ve learned years ago not to expect too much from my heros. Cary Grant may be a wonderful actor, but what an awful human being, and who could possibly have put up with Picasso, Van Gogh or Frank Lloyd Wright! blech.

      • MAMAZ says:

My hero was Lillian Hellman. Even in spite of the stuff Mary McCarthy said about her. Then I read the book written by the young woman who went to work for her. I can’t remember the name of the book or the woman. Anyway turns out she was an insufferable, abusive bitch. I was crushed. I so wanted her to be the woman from Pentimento. I still love her writing though.

      • Quincy IL says:

You are soooooooo right. Can you imagine being Mrs. Cezanne? I think George Washington had a few traits that I wouldn’t appreciate if I was his wife. Everyone of the men you listed were difficult to live with.

I think Giles Bensimon and the Count de Lesseps must have been challenges. Many women were dumped by those men.

      • Maxine49 says:

Alex’s kids go to public school in Brooklyn. I agree with you about Picasso and Frank Lloyd Wright…but Van Gogh was terribly mentally ill…there’s a huge difference. I’ve actually stood in the room in the small inn in which he died in Auvers-sur-Oise, France, and placed a memento on his headstone in the nearby cemetery. I’ve read a lot about him. I lived in France for a number of years and traveled to many of the places he’d been…St. Remy, etc. It’s a sad, sad story. His brother Theo supported him and paid for his psychiatric care. He sold one paining during his lifetime. Imagine that. He shot himself after he got a letter from his sister-in-law saying that Theo had TB and that, basically, he was a drain on their finances….and he saw his doctor on the weekends…but the doctor did not travel from Paris to the country side that weekend…so those two events culminated in the suicide. He shot himself in the head out in the fields and they found him and carried him back to the inn…and he died a day or so later. The famous painting of the church “Church at Auvers” was painted right before he died. The church is between the inn and the cemetery where he is buried. When Theo died of TB a short time later he was eventually buried next to Vincent, having been buried elsewhere first.

So, sorry, I digress…I’m going to Paris again next week…and it is bringing back memories of my living there.

    • dumberries says:

It does seem like Alex might be guilty of always wanting to be in good favor with those that she sees as being on top. That’s something I wondered about her in season 1, and season 2 as well. Maybe not, but could be. It’s not a terrible thing, but I prefer people like Bethenny – she’ll call it as she sees it without regard to winning a popularity contest with the cool kids. Now that Alex is being more assertive, I’m interested to see with whom and how she chooses to interact with others next season. I don’t have a strong opinion about her yet; I don’t feel I’ve really seen many sides to her before the middle of last season.
–Remember several weeks ago Teresa blogged that Alex was really “supermodel gorgeous” in real life, or something like that? Hey, maybe sometimes flattery does get you somewhere (with some of us).

      • Quincy IL says:

Alex is supermodel thin. In some worlds, that is really enough.

Teresa thinks that she is beautiful. She had a great figure before baby 4, but that was a long time ago. Who knows if she can come back when she eats pasta and doesn’t exericise?

        • Squirrels says:

Does this mean when the exercise equip is gone Aug 22, she’ll be forced to…. no…. I can’t say it….
          .
          .
Work out in a public gym on equip other people have actually TOUCHED?

          Arghhhhhhhhh

          • Quincy IL says:

I don’t think that Teresa exercised into that pre baby four figure. I think she didn’t eat. She knew she was going on the show and slimmed down. She may scrub floors, but I don’t see Teresa running down that long driveway in a jogging outfit.

          • dumberries says:

Lol!!! Can’t you see her straddling above the exercycle seat? I’ve got a total mental picture of her rocking the leopard print work-out spandex (with fur collar, of course).

            • Rabble Rouser says:

              Thanks,
Now I have a picture of her ‘screaming cat’ in those spandex mounting that exercycle seat.

It’s burned in my brain. I need some pinot grigio to wash it out with.

      • emt2 says:

Yeah, remember when Teresa also said that Alex was annoying and fake for being friends with Bethenny and that she was a social climber who used Jill?

This was back when Teresa came out guns blazing bashing-Bethenny and throwing her support to Jill before she was slammed by Bethenny’s fans. She wasn’t so nice to Alex back then.

It is all politics and I guess I shouldn’t really expect too much from anyone on TV. Especially people who are on Bravo!

        • BamaBelle says:

Bethenny did get a “good dig” at Teresa when she appeared live on Foxs and Friends. She said, you didn’t have to “flip tables” for drama on her show. Hahahahaha… I wonder what Teresa will do about that?

    • Shana p says:

I don’t follow her, but I support this wholeheartedly! I think the last 2 blogs Alex wrote make her look bad and agree she should have passed on blogging. I doubt she would have taken too kindly to another HW supporting JZ or agreeing that kookoo Kelly was bullied…..

      • Shana p says:

This was in reply to kats2’s post….

      • error404 says:

        I guess you didn’t read Teresa’s blog’s about RHONY then….

        • Shana p says:

No…. I must have missed that….. I will check it out

        • Shana p says:

Holy Moly! I’m sure I’m late to the party but Theresa calling Sonja a crazy old whore??? Wow! I would probably be civil and polite if I were Alex, but would have a real hard time both blogging the episodes for NJ OR sticking up for Theresa. Although the point made about her needing to keep her job in the face of Zarin sabotage is well taken. Yuk!

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Alex is articulate, she shows alot of class and considering she has to do book signings, Bravo Parties, etc with the Jersey devils…..she isn’t going to make enemies out of them…afterall, they don’t live that far away! lol

  19. Wendy says:

I can’t speak for everyone but I enjoy watching the housewives shows and the best part is reading Lynn’s blogs and everyone’s witty, intelligent, hilarious posts. It’s a good time. Funny, harmless. Also, these women put themselves out there. We should be able to call them out on their behavior.

    • dumberries says:

Exactly Wendy! When viewers aren’t talking about them, that’s when they should feel bad. No reaction, no show. I think all of these Reality Divas are very aware of the Bravo requirements to get tongues wagging. And everyone on Lynn’s blog supports their opinions. Plus, there are a lot of very funny people here and it’s all in good fun..

  20. julieintexas says:

Lynn – Great Blog – I completely agree with everything that you said in your blog – I was really put off by the last couple of blogs that Alex has written. I am sure she is taking the bullies (Teresa, Jaq, Ashley, Caroline and Dina) side because they have been to events together all the while bashing and trying to convince Alex just how bad Danielle is. I really like Alex so hopefully she will stop blogging for the RHONJ – because it is kinda pissing me off – I was thinking she was a little more fair and neutral in the past. I do not read Jaq’s blog since she wrote the first one for season 2 – they are full of excuses, lies and BS! Ashley blog is the same – I have been shocked at what the little shit-starter has been allowed to write on facebook, twitter and bravo! I can’t even let myself read that mess anymore – she needs to be taken to the woodshed For Sure! Jaq should be ashamed – but no – she is just as bad and obsessed as her daughter. Teresa – same BS – she is just a moron that can’t keep her lies straight! Very disappointed in Caroline and Dina that they continue to be friends with Teresa after all the crap that has come out about her. She is a thief and liar! Why are they making excuses for her? Of course, they are obsessed with Danielle too so it doesn’t surprise me that they would take criminal Teresa side instead of criminal Danielle’s side. These people are really a bunch of hypocrites! OMG please bring back NY minus Jill and Kelly! Bethenny was beautiful on the View – only watched because of her – and Joy Behar was being a BIOTCH! I just can’t believe that show is still on the air – good god – nobody can get a word in and they talk over each other – I just can’t make sense of it! Give Beth her own talk show people so I will have something fun to watch!

    • MAMAZ says:

I think part of the problem is that Danielle is just so hard to like.

      • Rabble Rouser says:

I agree she is not likable. But really none of them are, at least Danielle owns it. I think point the only woman on the show that has once once of redeemable value is Caroline, abet being flawed and biased to a fault.

I used to think of Jac as sweet and naive, but now I see she is just dumb and in denial.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Another thing to consider about her blog – she is the only NY housewife who has a summer assignment for Bravo – her face is out there and Jill’s is not!

  21. getreal says:

The Manzo family need to pick their “friends” better. Teresa putting her own parents in her basement and making them take care of those spoiled brats is despicable!

    • kats2 says:

Is that the set up and what’s going on there? So she lies about having no help?? What do they do when she’s filming hide out in the marble cave near the homemade wine set up. To be honest I think it’s a sweet thing to do, but I wonder why she tries to hide out. Lies Lies Lies

    • WindyCityWondering says:

They are in the servants quarters over the garage!

      • BamaBelle says:

Teresa showed her TRUE/PHONY colors when she was in labor and leaving for the hospital… her mom was there, so there was no need for Teresa to stop and cook waffles for one of the kids like she’s “SuperMom”… it was all for show.

What about those last minute things Teresa says we need to pack for the hospital… like her jewelry! Why would you take your good jewelry to the hospital? Doesn’t the hospital tell you to leave valuables at home? She’s so freaking ridiculous!

AND… I’m sick of her little confessionals… the way she talks to the viewer’s with those faces and smirks, and vile language. How many times does she think we want to hear her say what a “Skanky Ho” Danielle is? I started laughing when she said her business wasn’t any of Danielle’s… well, doesn’t that go both ways? She doesn’t mind spreading Danielle’s business around.

Danielle is right about one thing… Karma is a bigger bitch than she’ll ever be!

I told him to reserve me a case. also, on bethenny’s web site on the video where she is showing us how to make cocktails, she said she will be coming out with a skinny girl cosmopolitan.

Lynn, thank you SO much for pointing out about Teresa mentioning that she uses pre-made dough. Pre-made dough! And this is the woman whose cookbook is on the New York Times Bestsellers list. I have nothing against premade dough, I use it all the time but I am professing that I am some great chef with a cookbook. And then allllllllllllll of a sudden she mentions dough recipes from her book. GTFOH! Please!

What got me is Joe acted as if Teresa never even made pizza before.

I googled “Jill Zarin.” Got a link that was written by Brad, her gay husband.

I didn’t know that he was doing makeup for Lindsay Lohan’s new movie. I thought he was this very busy interior designer who traveled the planet desiging homes.

The photo in the lower section shows a Brad that looks very different from Season Two of NYC Housewives. I think he got a face transplant.

Anywho, people were agast when that pic first showed up, esp since he’d been awol, but I think it’s actually an old pic, as he’s posted recent pics and he still looks like he did on RHONY last season.

As for the “busy” and “Lohan” etc… like his bff Jill, the truth wouldn’t pass his lips if it was greased and on fire. All reading must be done with a salt shaker in one hand.

OT, Have any of you ever watched Gene Simmons Family Jewels? I was channel surfing last night and it was on so I thought I’d watch a few minutes of it. Much to my surprise I really enjoyed it. Talk about a fun put a smile on your face reality show that was it. They must have been having a marathon of it as there were one after the other on so I watched another one just to see if the next one would be as much fun to watch. It was. Gene and Shannon are fun to watch as well are their two kids. I even laughed out loud and few times.

        • Adios Lunatic says:

I expected that show to be horrible and much to my surprise, I love it. Such a normal, loving family — who would have guessed? On one of those episodes, Gene was on the Smarter than a 5th Grader show and won $500K for charity.

          • Char212 says:

I sure didn’t think it would be as cute as it is either. They sure appear to be a normal and loving family and I love the interaction between them all. The talking head shots are hilarious. I think it will be a new fav show of mine.

            • Adios Lunatic says:

Char212 — watching the show just makes me smile. You have to see the one when Gene’s dog Snippy gets lost and how upset he is.

The guy is funny and the family is a hoot.

        • Gene is very smart. He was a reading teacher before KISS took off. I was once watching a TV news program & they mentioned that Gene had made some remark about investing & the anchor asked “Would you take money advice from this man?” Answer: Yes. The guy doesn’t sneeze unless he can make a buck off of it.

        • emt2 says:

I cannot stand Gene Simmons! lol Did you know that he dated Diana Ross for a few years in the 80s? After he dated Cher. I always thought Gene and Diana Ross was such a random couple.

          • Char212 says:

Well I don’t know how he was back in the 80’s but I think the show is cute. I know my kids tell me that he’s never ever done drugs and doesn’t drink so he has that going for him if it’s true.
It was fun watching him with his family and it was just a fun make you smile feel good show.

        • Squirrels says:

Char. I heard inn one episode, Shannon was faced with a cancer diagnosis. That was intense.

          • Adios Lunatic says:

She found a lump and has a family history so she had it biopsied. Gene left their tour (after she told him not to) to be with her for the diagnosis. Although it was not cancerous, she and their daughter volunteer for Breast Cancer charities.

            • Char212 says:

Now that you mention it I did hear about that cancer scare. I also heard Gene does a lot for the military too.

  26. MrWestVirginia says:

Ashley has a VERY fat face. Her body is not really heavy, but everytime they show her, I keep hearing this “Wah, wah” sound. She has a Charlie Brown pan face and the “wah wah” sound is when an adult supposedly talks to Charlie Brown in his TV cartoons. Plus in some shots, her teeth are misaligned. So much for wanting to be a model. I mean, Lauren Hutton had a gap between her front teeth, but she was photogenic.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

  27. sydney says:

Just a thought…………do you think Bethenny’s dificulty with breast feeding is due to having implants?????? can’t wait for tonight’s episode with the birth of BRYN!!

    • Squirrels says:

Could be Sydney, but long before implants, women have had problems. There are any number of reasons. Nature isn’t always kind or accommodating.

      • Quincy IL says:

I asked a plastic surgery resident about this. He said that they try to make sure the ducts are not harmed. The implants in recent years are better than those in the past. Scarring, like Danielle’s, is a huge problem for some women. You do take a risk of injury with implants so it’s something to think about.

One of my ex sisters in law had to change hers after children in a later marriage. The breasts were hanging down to her knees. I imagine that was not a pretty sight.

    • Scorpiosue says:

It could be, but I had major problems with breast feeding. One, was my son having problems latching on and the other was that he was a “lazy eater”. With all my hormones going crazy and my son not breast feeding well…..it just put me more on edge. I ended up pumping for two months. That was a big pain in my butt, but worth it. So I don’t fault Bethenny at all and can understand her saying that breast feeding is hard because for some it is.

@Sydney, lol you will be waiting until tomorrow night!
As for difficulties with breastfeeding – Bethenny also has to plan ahead and pump for when she will not be there and that is a pain in the ass! It took my son (who was also premie and 5lb 4oz) about four months to get it totally – so for whatever challenges Bethenny is having, it is good to share.

      • We had to train my oldest to breastfeed as she didn’t know how to latch on. She was in NICU so we had to work around that. I remember using my pinkie to get her started sucking, then trying to get her on the breast. It was difficult and Joy can kiss my big toe for her hateful comment. I would love for someone to just look at her and say “Careful, your character is showing.” I do not watch that show because I feel these women are morons. When my youngest was born, she latched on right away and we didn’t have any problems. It’s all about the individual baby.

  28. sydney says:

P.S. just read somewhere that “one of the Housewives had a face lift and now looks younger than her teenage daughter”. Is it Jill, Ramona or Luann??

    • Quincy IL says:

Jill is throwing parties for Gov. Crist and sitting by Bobby 24/7, so I don’t think she had a face lift.

    • dumberries says:

Hi sydney, Error posted the link to the NY Post article yesterday. Short text, so posted it below:
Which reality-show diva just returned from what she said was a trip to France looking fresher than ever, leading to whispers she had a face-lift? “Her face is so tight, it’s smoother than her teenage daughter’s,” said our spy . . . Which fashionable couple has an open relationship? He openly dates men, and she openly dates women . . . Which pop singer/songwriter legend never tips — “I know five bartenders personally he stiffed after free drinks,” said one source

My guesses: at first I thought LuAnn, because she was in France and has a teenage daughter. But, then I wondered if it’s not a Housewife, but another Reality Diva with a daughter. Could be Chris Kardashian, Shannon (Gene Simmons’ wife), Maggie Griffin, hee hee…

      • twoile says:

Shannon & Gene both had facelifts during last years series, on camera…pre & post op, not the actual surgery.

    • kk says:

Did it say NY housewife? Could it be Lynn curtain or Sheree or Kim.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

gotta be Lynn Curtain lol – she is going to look like a toddler soon!

      • dumberries says:

Nah, can’t be Lynne Curtain – she hasn’t sold enough cuffs to finance another major surgery! I don’t think it’s a Housewife. Could even be Linda Hogan. I guess she might qualify as a Reality Diva and she is dating her son, aah, I mean a much younger dude that she’s probably itching to keep..

@KimberSho the 1/2 marathon in chicago is in a week. @giulianarancic and I are running together. Wooooo
about 5 hours ago via Twitter for BlackBerry® in reply to KimberSho

This was on Kelly’s twitter account. I can’t read twitter. Is she going to Chicago for a marathon?

    • boston02127 says:

Quincey–Yes and she’s running with Gulianna Rancic. She’s on E News. Her maiden name was Giulianna Depandi. She married Bill Rancic from the first Apprentice.

    • Scorpiosue says:

There is a Rock ‘n Roll Half Marathon here in Chicago coming Aug. 1st. So my guess that is it. I know Kelly is tight with Guilanna Rancic and her husband works in Chicago. GR is on par with Kelly. When she was told that she should gain 10 lbs. in order to have a baby (her and Bill Rancic have been trying for a while) and you’d swear that they told her to gain 100 lbs. If you want a baby, gain the TEN freakin’ pounds.

      • Quincy IL says:

You are kidding. How did she expect to help a fetus grow without a weight gain?

        • Scorpiosue says:

Sorry, they wanted her to gain weight to get pregnant in the first place not the actual pregnancy part. Though if the woman can’t stomach gaining 10 lbs. to get pregnant how would she handle gaining 25 lbs. to have the actual baby.

        • error404 says:

she’s too thin to conceive? I don’t get it

          • error404 says:

I doubt she’s admitting to an eating disorder, and even admitting to irregular or infrequent menstruation seems a little OTT even for a “fame whore”. Are they just saying she’ll have stronger eggs? Sorry for being dense

          • Squirrels says:

Error, it is a common problem for elite gymnasts. The demand to be light and powerful seriously messes with hormones and can do some big damage. I coached at the college level and it was a concern to me, but not the head coach (male).

yes, ‘pretty girls in little boxes’ and all that, but developing athletes and full grown actresses/singers are different. I’m shocked that basically no one on TV or in the moves is menstruating. was suri cruise hatched from an egg?

          • ShyAsrai says:

females have to have X percentage of body fat in order to ovulate and then menstruate.

      • BamaBelle says:

I know, I did see that episode and wondered why 10 pounds was so upsetting to her… she would look alot better if she added 10 pounds and more. I still like her, though… I haven’t seen any of their new season… so, I guess no luck in the baby-making department yet?

that’s exactly what I thought too! she strong armed him into letting her be on his show.

    • dumberries says:

Ughh, does this mean Emeril will have Teresa on soon? After all, she reportedly wrote a cook book.

It’s disappointing but as someone said earlier, you shouldn’t expect too much from people on TV.

I never saw Alex as being really strategic but now I do. Oh well. Funny how quickly she seems to have forgotten all the nasty things Teresa said about her when Teresa was so vocally Team Jill…

The saddest thing about RHONJ are the ratings. Yeah it’s shown on a Monday, but for that day it is still getting decent ratings. Because of that fact there is no way that Teresa, Jacqueline and Danielle will be going anywhere. I really wish they’d recast the whole show. I would think that they will add a housewife or two next season. If either Kim were to fill that roll, ugh, that would just be tar ball to add to the current cesspool.

    • Squirrels says:

I say give Jersey a rest. They have 3 shows now based in Jersey. Let one of them take hold whereby citizens of the state can be proud. Dump Housewives.

      • Quincy IL says:

New York has had tons of series over the years. California too. It’s time Missouri had one. Ozark Houswives. Women married to very rich Country and Western stars. There are mansions on the lake and lots of bars to film in. If we are lucky, we could find a sidewalk to pull out hair extensions on.

        • DesertGal says:

I vote for Real Housewives of Charleston, too. Forgot Atlanta. If Bravo’s cameras went up here in Charleston at gals struggling through the height of the low country summer humidity, they’d make the bitchiness of the NY/NJ housewives look like amateur hour.

Hell hath no fury like a woman whose hair goes into instafrizz the second she steps outside. 😉

    • WindyCityWondering says:

agree – clean the slate give NJ a higher class of housewives!

    • Scorpiosue says:

That would be my first choice too, but Bravo seems to be going sensationalistic with all of this Real Housewives crap.

  35. Capiche says:

Well, I went over and read Jacqueline’s blog. Oh. My. Gawd! I was slack jawed at the end. I am actually sad for her. I think she feels that Danielle is “winning” so she puts out all these crazy accusations and the he said/she said bullshit. There’s stuff in there about Teresa’s lawyer’s wife, foreclosure excuses for Teresa, doubts about Danielle’s alleged eye-twitch (EYE-TWITCH!), an extremely detailed analysis of how Danielle’s head snapped back when Ashley pulled her hair (according to Dr. Jackie, it went straight back and Danielle didn’t pull away (?) so she couldn’t possibly suffer all those ill effects she’s claiming…), fear about Danielle’s past associates, accusations of Danielle’s bad parenting, random assertions of the hotness of her husband WHILE HE IS SCOLDING HER ILL-MANNERED DAUGTHER, etcetera, etcetera. She even talked about some scene from the web exclusives so of course I went over to look and after two viewings still couldn’t find what the heck she was talking about!! I don’t know. Danielle may not be the only crazy one on that show y’all. That blog was similar to the crazy rant/blog Danielle did earlier this season. What I just read was disturbing. These are the musings of an extremely angry, bitter and obsessed woman. Someone needs to sit this poor Jacqueline down and say to her – Let. It. Go. Love and light. Or as Ashley so famously said…Stay in the positive, bitch!

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Jacq is a justifying junkie without a clue – she is obsessed with Danielle, she doesn’t censor her self around her children (the other one called Danielle a pig in the car on the way to the family pig ball watching) and if she doesn’t watch out Chris is going to kick her out when he kicks Ashley out for good. At least Teresa is funny in her uneducated rantings.

    • MAMAZ says:

I started it but then saw there were SIX pages and thought forget this!

    • Squirrels says:

(bet you thought I was gonna say something different re: spread). The devil made me do it.

      • Quincy IL says:

        Chris or Joe is cold?

        • Squirrels says:

Cold to bring unfounded accusations. Just not cool.

          • BamaBelle says:

Ashley did tell her boyfriend that she wanted everybody to hate Danielle as much as she does, and she has thousands on her side.

So, I imagine her hatred for Danielle has caused to NOT to be choosy about the people she lets on her FB… not a good idea and I don’t understand why Jacqueline or Chris doesn’t take the computer away from her because…

            1) Ashley still lives at home and they support her, and 2) she was told to lay off with the comments to or about Danielle or she would be kicked out!

That’s the problem… Jacq threatens punishment but never follows through with it. If my daughter assaulted someone because I allowed her to be filmed on a Reality TV Show, then allowed her to get into the adults business… then, I would stop doing the show for the sake of my kid!

The only reason Ashley moved back home is because how long would the camera follow her to the boyfriends house?

      • Rabble Rouser says:

The posters FB profile is private but in some strange way seemed legit since she challenged Ash to ask her mom about the rumors about Joe and some blond.

Joe and one of the Kims—-hmmmmm that makes me think…what a perfect cover he gave himself

        “Whois (sic) Kim G?”

That’s it Juicy- deny even knowing her 😉

    • dumberries says:

That is cold. Juicy and a blonde, huh? Wonder which one of the Kims? Seriously, sounds like a crazy poster. But….. last year I wouldn’t have believed it if I’d been told about 1/2 the stuff that has actually gone down this year.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

Dina is a blonde – just saying Joe could be tapping that without Teresa’s radar going off……

    • Quincy IL says:

I just don’t know about the accusations of infidelity or being gay anymore. It seems that trolls are making these things up. Joe and Chris seem in love with their wives. I don’t know about Dina’s husband. Carolyn’s husband seems to love her. Without some evidence, I don’t think I would believe that person making the claim.

      • Rabble Rouser says:

I could definitely see Joe cheating…he has that ‘Badda Bing’ swagger to him.

      • Maxine49 says:

Quincy, I don’t think Joe is in love with Teresa. Joe’s a pig (well, so is she). In the Mafia-esque life they are in, it is sooo commom for men to have the “goumada”—the mistress….it’s a coda of the made man.

        • DesertGal says:

I have to say though, if I had a Prada bag (which I don’t), I’d carry that bag everywhere. Costco, WalMart, Sam’s Club…everywhere. I’d also probably grab strangers and say, “See? Prada. Pra-da.” 🙂

    Huh?

I’m not trying to “control” anything. Nor am I going to write to my lawmakers to make laws about talking about underage kids, since such laws would be unconstitutional and would never happen.

Do I expect any of the housewives to stop talking or blogging about the underage kids of the other housewives? No. Can I still voice the opinion that it would be a good idea? Yes.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

All housewives have the option not to put their kids on the show. Sonja isn’t and that is her choice. Those who choose to put their kids on should understand that they are fair game for comments – while we don’t get evil on them like we do their mothers, their behavior in any given scene is indicative of how they behave in real life. Teresa’s kids are disrespectful, materialistic divas – like their mom. Jacq didn’t parent Ashley when she was young and we see the outcome of that week after week! Danielle’s kids are pretty mature for their age but I don’t attribute that to D’s parenting skills as much as I do to them having to grow up faster than their peers because of their mother being so self absorbed, paranoid and needy. Caroline’s kids don’t misbehave but they are anything but mature as they have been over mothered. While we do make snarky or tongue in cheek comments about the antics of these kids – we likely all want for them what we want for our own children – health, happiness, a clear sense of right from wrong and a productive, independent life.

  45. Olivia says:

You ask why they keep talking about Danielle and honestly, this is all they’ve got. Should they remove Danielle from the show, and she is pretty hideous, what’s left? Segments devoted to watching Albie fill out applications to another law school with Caroline in the background, a la Marie Barone, smiling all the way? How about a few more minutes of “the ham game”? Or one more trip to a boutique watching Theresa’s kids wreck the joint? Lauren applying eye makeup to some poor soul?

Maybe some footage of Jacqueline and Trashley having yet another sit down session in how to behave in public? Or the Two Kims staring at one another because the source of their conversation is no longer there? Without Despicable Danielle Bravo has nothing with this franchise. We have spent two seasons of non stop crapola regarding these women and the “fillers”, as you point out, are beyond boring. Albert buying a suit? Gia prouncing “coffee”? Come on!

Eliminating Danielle (and I firmly believe the plug should be pulled on this nonessential show) leaves a big fat zero as far as filling an hour of stupidity showcasing the lives of this unintelligent frauds. Are they expecting the viewers to tune into the lifestyles of Juicy Joe and Cavewoman who have been exposed for the shams they truly are? The audience is no longer buying into that excess since it is now documented that they are living a life of scamming as they possessions hit yard sale status as they look on.

So they will continue to “discuss” Danielle since without her the show has as much pizazz as a test pattern for those old enough to remember.

    • Squirrels says:

Olivia. I think I love you. Brava.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

@Olivia – you are so on target – there is no RHONJ without Danielle – the other wives are not interesting or adding anything to the current show but blind hatred, bad behavior and a butchery of the English language! And to that end, Danielle is not really interesting!
Bravo could easily pull the plug on this franchise. They would have to change the entire cast if they want to stay in New Jersey, but with all the other franchises maybe it is time to just pick a new venue!

      • Olivia says:

How about closing up the entire shop on this premise?

Think about it; the same memes are present in all the franchises. They are all bleached, breast enhanced, and Botoxed beyond recognition. They are filmed all doing pretty much the same thing, from attending fashion shows to lunching or walking their pets. They are all dressed in outfits that show the most cleavage and barely cover their private parts.

Each franchise features the “villain” alongside the “saint”. The drama is usually based on the most petty of outrages. They all end up taking a trip to somewhere paid for by Bravo itself.

Their “talking head” segments are loaded with derogatory comments about other cast members. Their kids are either troubled or featured as “exceptional”. Some are heartily into discussing their sex lives and all pitch products as a sideline.

The only difference is the location of the shooting and after awhile the entire series of the moment denigrates into jealous outbursts, hypocrisy, and shameless promotion.

From Atlanta to California to NYC to NJ, they are all the same without exception as they begin to blend in to such an extent it is difficult to tell them apart. Self centered, bitchy women who believe they have just won the brass ring and a ticket to stardom.

        Enough!

        • WindyCityWondering says:

I guess we all bring our own expectations to these shows. Yes I want to see what women who are in a socio economical bracket I will never achieve in their natural element. What they wear, where they hang out, what they do – a peek at a lifestyle different from my own.
You are right – Bravo has a formula and it changes very little from show to show – but some shows have women (who start out as total strangers) that are actually interesting, articulate and are capable of having adult relationships with each other.
As Alex said – true colors came out in RHONY season three and it was no rainbow for viewers. RHONJ panders to the lowest common denominator which is why it has the highest ratings of all the franchises. The only smart thing Bravo did was to identify the fact that Bethenny could carry a show based on what was happening in her real life and let her run with it – which is the closest thing I have seen that is reality tv.
All things end and you may be right that the housewives have come to that point.

          • Quincy IL says:

Olivia, it’s my guess that we all have higher socio-economic status than Teresa and Lynn from OC. We pay our bills and are not millions in debt.

I would not dress like the NY, OC, or Atlanta women if you paid me. Their choices are not my cup of tea.

    • Rabble Rouser says:

I think you are right- they can ‘not talk’ about Danielle all the want, but as Error mentioned in another blog, they spend a ton of time discussing the fact they are ‘not talking about her’.

Unfortunately, this isn’t much else on tv on Monday nights- and RHWNJ is still an upscale version of those creeps from the MTV’s The Jersey Shore.

    • Maxine49 says:

Well, Olivia, you took the words right out of my mouth! And let’s not forget Caroline’s crying at the drop of a hat…oh, puhleeze! Can you say BORING!

  46. Scorpiosue says:

I was thinking about Danielle’s girls and I’m wondering if they are good, well adjusted girls because of Danielle or in spite of Danielle? I think back to Danielle going all stalker, with the girls in the car, because of the shindig Caroline had. They both said to her that what she was doing was a bad idea. Then you have Christine’s modeling assignment with Whack-a-doo’s ex Gilles Bensimon. Poor Christine looked like she would have much rather had her mom not there. How can I forget the whole table scene at last years finale where she didn’t care if her kids were there for the whole debacle or not? If you add other things like 80’s hair band loving, ex-con Danny even being brought into their lives, these kids having to deal with their mom’s sex tape or how the girls told their mom that Steve was not going to be around it’s a lot for young kids to handle. Kids can be cruel and I am sure that stuff that the girls may not have seen on the show was told to them by other kids. I would be mortified if someone came and said, “So your mom give daily “insert oral sex phrase” to her boyfriend?” or her icky porn tape. Now you have Danielle hinting that she’s a lesbian. Which is fine unless your a “lesbian” to sell your song. Fly the rainbow flag proudly, but don’t do it to be sensationalistic in order to further your career. Those girls now have to deal with that.

So my whole rant stems on if these girls are well adjusted because of Danielle or if these girls are just good girls who happen to have Danielle for a mother. I don’t know. All I know is, from what I’ve seen, their behavior is about 1,000 times better than Ashley’s. Though my dogs behavior is better than Ashley’s and my dog is sooooo not smart.

    • Rabble Rouser says:

It’s hard to say if Danielle’s girls are good because of her or in spite of her.

      Danielle is definitely loony tunes.
In some ways the situation reminds me of stories I heard about with kids who had parents who were addicts or in some other way debilitated- and the children became the guardians of shorts.

But the end result is, her kids seem to be fairing well and Jac raised a delinquent.

      Just sayin’

      • Quincy IL says:

I see that too. Bright women who have and will overcome their mother’s bad influence.

    • Quincy IL says:

Ashley’s boy friend does not like the way Ashley is treating that dog. He would be long gone if the cameras weren’t there. Ashley is not a catch.

    • If You Had It Like This says:

I totally agree with you on this. Danielle treats her daughters like they are her friends and confidantes. She treats them like adults and that tends to make kids more mature. They seem exceptionally well behaved and I think it’s in spite of her and not because of her. They are exposed to too much at too young an age.
She tells them things kids should not know. Remember Christine saying that men just wanted her mom’s “goodies”? She was probably 13 at that time. I see good kids but I haven’t seen great parenting on Danielle’s part. Yes, she cooks for them, exercises with them but the rest is apalling.

Ashley’s behavior is a joke. Not even worth commenting on. God help the Giudices when those girls are teenagers. That’s all I have to say about that.

  47. Squirrels says:

All I can say is Olivia hit a major nerve.

  48. Rabble Rouser says:

I got a DM from Jac

I said something about how hypocritical it was for her to use Unbe-weave-able as the title for her blog after the whole sit down the had with Ashley over it. I also replied to her comment that Danielle didn’t pay her dues for her criminal case because she got a deal with snitching. I said that Ash didn’t pay her dues either, she just paid a fine.

This is the reply I got..
Our EDITOR creates our blog titles & the judges decision is not my daughters doing, she just told the truth, while D lied.

Looking forward to the reviews of the Art Contest last night. I watched it this morning. It makes me want to paint.

  50. Wendy says:

How many episodes of NJ are left? We’ve got to be getting close to the end. I want to see the reunion. Although, the tough questions won’t be answered, I’m sure.
Have a good day everyone. Rainbows and unicorns to all!

    • viki55 says:

I think someone said 4 the other day, so three more perhaps.

      • vilzvet says:

I just cannot imagine them filming this reunion. What with everything going down with Teresa, how will she be able to deny or explain her troubles, how will Danielle be able to sit next to them, is Dina going to attend (guess not). They really just need a brand new cast, it can’t be that hard to scour the streets of NJ and come up with some interesting new women.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

What makes me sad is that while Caroline says Albie is courageous to go public with his still undefined learning disability, she is/was embarrassed by it because he was in special classes (where it sounds like he had someone read class material and test questions to him)! Mixed message with a disclaimer that she always told him not to let anyone tell him what he could or couldn’t do! There are mulitple ways of learning and we all have one or two that we respond to best – if Albie’s way of processing is to hear directions/test questions read to him then maybe law is not the best career for him to pursue and if his HS counselor suggested working at the Brownstone (where he would be told what to do) and enroll in community college to satisfy his desire to take college level courses – it was a good suggestion. All Caroline’s drama around his learning disability is misplaced because Albie can learn…..and this also explains how Albert reacted during the breakfast scene – Albie didn’t want to work at the Brownstone because he probably felt it was beneath him and it showed in his father’s face that they had many discussions/fights about it!

      • Maxine49 says:

So, Caroline Manzo did his course work for/with him at Fordham. He didn’t earn that degree on is own. We still don’t know what the so-called disability is. The problem is where does the “not smart enough” end, and the “disability begin. In this case, it’s just all too “fuzzy” for me. And, gosh, after looking at the photo in that article, Albie is fast turning into looking like a non-descript middle aged man. I’ve never seen anyone lose their looks so rapidly. What the heck is happening? And whatever it is, I bet the brother, Chris, is just loving it!

Jill’s tweet–laurenmanzo are you excited for the weekend? I have lots of surprises planned for my Jersey Girls!

    Lauren’s tweet—–Jillzarin I can’t wait! Thank u for having us- @carolinemanzo & I always have a great time with you and @AllyZarin ! See you Friday! 🙂

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Jill could replace Danielle and purchase Teresa’s McMansion and by next season the NJ ladies will be hating on her! Bonus: RHONY will be Zarin free!!!

  52. viki55 says:

Morning all:) Who won Work of Art last night? Bravo shows who lost but I don’t see who won.

    • moriasheehan says:

peridot, the one with the unicorn and candy, won

      • viki55 says:

Thanks. I guess she had the best story. Who knew candy, unicorns and ciggys could be art. Jesshh add a rainbow or two and Kelly could be an artist.

        • moriasheehan says:

i did think the ciggies from chalk, were brilliant. BTW, did anyone watch food network landscape challenge last night? talk about imagination, the 2 top chefs(not cooks) used food in such creative ways. highly recommend.

        • error404 says:

it was like the polar opposite or everything kiki is, was or does

  53. moriasheehan says:

only in her own mind. i have yet to see her with one unicorn or rainbow.

  54. Adios Lunatic says:

That awful show Double Exposure is off after only 6 episodes. It must have had terrible, terrible, terrible numbers to be off that early. Usually they order 8 episodes. Maybe that’s why Jill is hanging with Indrani — maybe she needs help/support now as the underdog.

    • moriasheehan says:

i am not a fan either, but indrani’s home in india, was a great spot for a shoot. she was so right about that. i saw the beauty in those ruins. markus was such a dick about it. is he OCD or just a snob.

      • Adios Lunatic says:

I didn’t end up watching the last episode after the constant arguing from those two. Markus is definitely something……OCD, snob, horndog………yuck.

    • error404 says:

They only ordered 6 eps, and put it on at 11:00, which means they had low expectations. It was on after D-List though, which is the only reason why I’ve even seen any of it. It probably worked.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Are summer filler shows only 6-8 episodes?
Both of those characters are whinny, rude and pretentious – I watched 2 episodes – one out of interest and one to make sure it was two whinny, rude and pretentious idiots.

    • moriasheehan says:

OMG, she is one sick jealous bitch and i don’t even like danielle.

      • Olivia says:

Are we surprised these allegations? Not at all. But this Kim G. seems to be inserting herself into the mix by granting “interviews” with a spot on this show in mind for herself.

Who wants to watch Kim G in anything? Without the constancy of “we hate Danielle Staub” as a storyline, what is left in this series? Absolutely nothing. Is anyone really interested in watching another season of this fake crap with one woman holding her own against a group of uninteresting opponents who are vying for airtime?

Kim G must have some “product line” she is working on as this seems to be the one area they all agree on. Without Danielle claiming that “they are out to get me” and the others gathered together to diss her ad infinitum, what’s left?

Kim G. is one sick puppy.

        • anitabee says:

Kim should NOT be the next housewife. She is so disgusting. I still cant get the image of her ass crack out of my mind.

She is also nuts ala Danielle. What’s to come? Battle of the crazies on RHONJ? It’s bad enough as it is.

    • Adios Lunatic says:

Whew — someone is in a snit, aren’t they???? Lovely way to behave. I think Danielle is a psycho but the other “ladies” bad behavior is deluting the revulsion for Danielle’s.

    • Quincy IL says:

Makes on wonder what is going on in Gossip Haven, New Jersey. Thousands? iffy… Hundreds… probably.

When Andy asked the lesbian super star and Danielle if they were a couple, the superstars head moved back and forth indicating, “No.” It’s a game that Danielle is playing with Andy and the audience. I felt sorry for the lesbian superstar.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Kim G actually looked as nice as we’ve ever seen her – except for her forehead looks like a botox explosion waiting to happen….. so she is done with Danielle too! IMO, no one Bravo puts on to try to bridge the Staub/Manzo grand canyon will ever succeed. Kim G tried to get them to focus on small differences that could be fixed and came off two-faced because of it. Unfortunately, she might have been the type of housewife we would have liked….real money, class, charitable at heart, etc

      • viki55 says:

I was kind of thinking that too but after seeing her last two video interviews I seriously doubt the “class” part. Giving the finger, I think in both interviews, kind of rules out any inkling of class. Surely there are women in NJ with some! Bring them on!!

    • error404 says:

the difference between NY and NJ astounds me.

      1. united front: Caroline and Dina seem to have no problem in bringing women into the fold. Season 1 Jac was the rogue, but they broke her over the break, or even before the reunion really. Season 2 isn’t even over yet and they’ve gotten to Kim G already.

both of Jill’s attempts failed: first to blackball Kiki in s2, then to ruin B in s3. None of the other wives would truly commit to the team.

      2. the opposition. Danielle is a worth adversary I think, but the crazy seems to eclipse the smart. Kiki may have relied on connections to keep her place after s2’s blacklisting, but she certainly took advantage of the feud to wiggle in now. B was just way to smart for Jill. Even before real life (baby, engagement, etc…) gave her a solid undisputed victory, Jill’s attempts to smear her were backfiring. Jill’s claims were transparent and B played the unprepared victim very well. Her reactions to the feud in the early part of the season made her more popular than eve

    • Maxine49 says:

OMG, Kim G is a repulsive old hag. What a cesspool this show is!

    • Rabble Rouser says:

Kim G. is so gross, I really hope she isn’t the next housewife although things seem to be moving in that direction. Her and her SIL would clearly sell their souls for a few minutes of notoriety.

That outfit she wore to the fashion show would be extreme on a 20 year old with a banging body. Seeing it on a chicken legged 50+ year old was sad and pathetic, I would have to imagine her children would be just as embarrassed by her ensemble.

  58. Olivia says:

Jacqueline is beginning to echo Cindy Anthony in defense of her homicidal daughter. By admitting that Casey Anthony or Ashley Holmes may be guilty of anything would be an admission that each has “failed” as a parent and this is something they refuse to do.

Each mother should just shut up since the outcome of their skills as nurturers and parents is on view for all the world to judge and they would be better off remaining silent in the face of the facts.

What Trashley did was indefensible no matter how much they try to explain it and Jacqueline would be better off tending to the two small boys she has now rather than doing battle online with total strangers. These attempts to “pretty it up” aren’t helping the situation since Trashley feels “vindicated” from those who should know better.

    • BamaBelle says:

      Totally agree, Olivia…

I’ve followed the Casey Anthony case from the beginning. Cindy and George are both lying to protect their daughter. Nevermind that they already told the police the car smelled like a “dead body” had been in it. They should know, too, since Cindy is a nurse and George a former police officer. Now-they both want to take it back… it was rotting pizza, yeah, sure. They should just keep their mouths shut, the more they defend Casey, the more she comes off as a spoiled brat whom has gotten away with way too much over the years! I do understand they love their daughter, but they need to keep their mouths shut!

While Ashley hasn’t killed her daughter, she has traits of someone who has been allowed to do as she pleases with not much consequences. When Jacqueline was proud Ashley passed summer school and was rewarded with a new car-it made me sick. She shouldn’t of had to attend summer school in the first place. Second, why doesn’t she have a job? If she isn’t in college-she needs a job. Who buys her gas, clothes, insurance and pays the cell phone bill?

Allowing Ashley to get involved with all this Danielle crap is Jacqueline’s fault! She should know better, and after Ashley assaulted Danielle by sneek-attack, no less… Jacqueline should be furious, with Ashley’s priviledges taken away. Ashley still lives at home.

Jacqueline should say “I don’t approve of what Ashley did-PERIOD! No “if-ands-or buts”! Then tell Ashley she is off camera!

If Jacqueline doesn’t do something now… she just may have a “Casey Anthony” on her hands one day. I’m not saying Asley would ever kill someone, but-she could cetainly get in a lot of trouble and ruin her life forever. Jacqueline should step up as a parent, and QUICK!

  59. WindyCityWondering says:

I would be happy if all the franchises were kid free zones. One episode, one scene limit – show us your family and then keep them off the shows! We get it – you have kids but why put them on scene after scene like some accessory? I’d be satisfied it families stayed in the intro shot as background to the wife. Just saying.

    • Noreen says:

That is an excellent idea. I am sick of the kids too – in all of the shows. A little of them goes a long way. I want an adult show. I really don’t need to see Ludog’s son goofing off in an expensive hotel suite or really care if Ally is preparing for her SATs. I love kids, but I think of this as my guilty pleasure and would like something a little more sophisticated than Theresa’s girls misbehaving in a store.

    • sugarmagnolia10 says:

agreed….I remember when I was a kid, my Grandmother used to babysit me and she would fast forward thru all the “young people” scenes on All My Children, OLTL, and General Hospital. I would ask her why, and she just said, “it doesn’t interest me. Young people have different problems than adults.”

  60. error404 says:

all the wives hawk products, and for the jersey girls, their kids are their products… it’s all about launching their “careers”.. modeling, acting, bully your way into law school… it’s the same shameless self promotion, but instead of a book or jewelry, it’s spawn.

    • anitabee says:

      Do not worry fellow posters.

It’s just our old troll OTAY PANKY signing in as various posters and having a conversation with herself.

Nothing she says is true. She’s still sore because Lynn bested her and told her she is no longer allowed to post on the this blog.

      • error404 says:

do you think if maybe Lynn just slept with OTay once, this would all just go away? lol

        • Noreen says:

I think Lynn is going to have to take one for the team! LOL!

        • anitabee says:

Error, you just might be onto something. It does seem that OTAY PANKY is umm…cough…cough…frustrated in a certain department?
