I really enjoy this show!  I am really going to be sorry to see it ending next week.  Bravo certainly did itself proud for a change with this show.  I hope that it proved to Bravo executives that people really do want to see fun, loving and emotionally touching programming and not just all the hate and drama all the time. 

Next Thursday night Bravo is bringing back the Talk Bubble for the season finale of Bethenny Getting Married, which was actually a lot of fun during The Real Housewives of New York.  If you haven’t joined in before, this would probably be a great time to try it!  You can join in using either Facebook or Twitter and typically the cast of the show join in to discuss the episode along with Bravo PR people or Bravo executives.  (they have not yet confirmed who will be joining)  Bethenny has not traditionally joined in the Talk Bubble or even Tweeted during her show but I would hope she is included this time. 

It was so sweet watching Bethenny announce to her in-laws that they had a new baby granddaughter and that her name was Bryn in honor of their son who had died almost 20-years earlier.  For any of these Bethenny haters who think she is selfish and a bitch, this is a huge indication that Bethenny has certainly shown how selfless and sweet she can be.  To name your baby after someone you’ve never met out of  respect for your husband and in-laws is a huge sign of respect and love.

I thought Jason and Bethenny were hysterical trying to get the baby out of the car without removing the base of the car seat, it was funnier because I think most of us who have children could relate to it in some way, whether it is folding up a stroller or putting together a high chair, we all have struggled at one time or another with baby paraphernalia, haven’t we?  Unfortunately most of us don’t have a baby nurse to help but I think most of us did have someone helping at one time or another, a neighbor, mother or friend. 

That may be the real appeal of the show, so many of us can relate to planning a wedding, stress, working and having a new baby!   Bethenny is a perfectionist and maybe even a little bit OCD in that she likes everything to be just right, doesn’t like chaos or when her stuff is out of place in her home.

Bethenny was really a trooper the first few days home with the new baby, Bryn being underweight most likely needed additional feedings.  I remember every four hours felt like a nightmare but Bryn probably had to be fed every two hours.  The baby nurse also explained that the baby can digest breast milk easily making them hungry more often.  Poor Bethenny!  She didn’t complain at all, just looking at that tiny baby, how could you complain?

The foot and hand printing was so funny, what should have been quick and simple was made funnier because Bethenny didn’t want to force little Bryn’s hand open when she had her hand in a tiny fist, and counting the toes…..omg it was just a great scene!

What was up with Verdi, what a jackass!  Did he think he was being cool or funny?  Max was in a bad situation not really knowing what the relationship was between his boss, Bethenny and Verdi who should be treated with the respect of a business associate.   I always really liked him as a designer and stylist but who knew he was such a dumbass?  Best I could tell was that Bethenny had borrowed the pink shoes and was required to return them or buy them.  At that point, typically there would have been a discount because they were used, obviously, and they would most likely have been worn again in a public place giving the designer more exposure.  It’s all about the marketing!  The designer chose not to offer Bethenny a discount but she decided she loved them and had to have them.  

If you add the love of shoes to the fact that she was wearing a gold “Bethenny” necklace during part of the episode, and she really IS Carrie Bradshaw!!! 

I had not heard the Baby Nurse, Gina’s advice of having beer to help produce more breast milk but we do know that breast feeding mothers can have a drink or two and so if it helps, I say drink up!   I think Gina may be the first employee that we haven’t yet heard Bethenny snarking at?  She must be one hell of a baby nurse! 

Bethenny seemed to be a little tough on Julie, after having told her how great she’s been and how much she loves her for everything she does for Bethenny, she gave her a bit of a hard time when it came to discussing business and schedules. 

I was surprised to hear that Bethenny agreed to allow a reporter to follow her around for a day to do a report of “A Day In The Life” so soon after the baby was born.  Obviously Bethenny agreed to do it but snarked a bit at Julie about the day’s schedule.  Julie handled it really well, she clearly knows her boss and agreed that she should have foreseen Bethenny’s needs and adjusted the schedule without being told.  Julie is a saint and I said it before, I’d love to have her as my assistant!  She is amazing!

And then there’s Max!  The entire jewelry store scene was pretty uncomfortable.  I know it is tough for guys to ask girls out on dates.  I honestly don’t know how they get the courage up to do it but it seems as though he had absolutely no confidence.  It could have been because of Bethenny’s conflicting advice we saw her giving him earlier or it could have been Bravo’s cameras but he was a hot mess!   If he had just realized that no nice girl would ever have turned down a date invitation on camera unless they’re absolute bitches, he would have been just fine.  There was no way that girl would have turned him down on camera, that would have been cruel. 

Jason took the situation into his hands and basically had to ask the girl out for Max but in the end, she agreed to have lunch with Max! 

The previews for next week look pretty dismal for little Max, he gets reamed by Julie for not “getting it”  by now and gets reamed by Bethenny for taking an employee perk without permission. 

As Bethenny has told us many times, “Cookie is a bitch!”.  I don’t get why she hates Shawn the wedding planner so much and wonder if this is how the dog acts with all guests or all men or just specific people?  I think maybe Cookie should take a bedroom break when Shawn comes to visit Bethenny.  It was really sweet watching him with the baby.  I almost missed his comment about little Bryn having Bethenny’s sexy legs.   Too funny!  I really hope that Shawn’s business has skyrocketed after appearing on Bethenny Getting Married?  his tweets confirm what a really nice guy he is!  I wondered if we were going to see him again this season and was happy to see he was hired to plan Bethenny’s baby shower. 

When Alex and Simon were in Chicago at the book signing, Alex had told us that she had to rush back to New York to film the baby shower so we know that we’ll be seeing Alex one more time and the previews show Ramona visiting Bethenny and the baby at Bethenny’s apartment.  Ramona proves Sonja’s point once again, Ramona is uncomfortable talking about sex, how hysterical!

I’m really going to be sorry when this series ends, Bethenny may have a little over-saturated the TV and airwaves lately but it is important to strike while the iron is hot and WOW is she on fire right now!    Bethenny had recently tweeted a question to fans asking for opinions on what the name of her show should be for a season two of her show.  (obviously it can’t be named Bethenny Getting Married) This is a great sign for fans that there will most likely be another  season.  I know many people worry that Bethenny could be risking her marriage and family by continuing to film with Bravo but I personally think that her marriage is strong and quite honestly, they seem to enjoy filming their lives.  I, for one, hope to see more of Bethenny, Jason and Baby Bryn.

I enjoyed last night’s BGM, but glad that next week the show will be wrapping up. B seems to have saturated every form of media there is…I can hardly turn on the TV, my computer or the radio without hearing her, and it does make me wonder when she ever sleeps or is home. I was shocked she was on WWHL late the other night. I think she needs to pull back just a little. Remember how everyone wanted to kill Jennifer Lopez until she finally went away from the media and raised her kids? I know B still has products and books coming out that she needs to promote, but sheesh Bethenny…take a rest!!! I think she has actually increased her appearances since Bryn rather than cut back. I loves me some Bethenny, and if *I’m* getting a little fatigued, imagine the haters!!! LOL.

It was touching to see Jason cry and his parents’ reaction to Bryn’s birth and naming. I loved seeing B getting new clothes, but my God, Robert Verdi was a bitch and a half. What the F did he light into Max for? And multiple times? What did Max do to him but say hello? I think Max fought back weakly because he didn’t want to get fired. But it’s looking like he gets fired anyway for getting a massage at B’s shower next week.

I knew B must have really, REALLY loved those fuchsia patent Alexander McQueen pumps, because I saw her wear them on The View, Jimmy Fallon, and the RH Reunion shows in short succession, and she doesn’t normally repeat herself that often, or that obviously (it’s kinda hard to get fuchsia patent to blend in). The thing I couldn’t figure out is that the pair of shoes RV gave her looked like the soles were dirty and had been worn many times?? Is he getting used shoes from the runway shows or something?? I loved the dress he briefly showed that she wore on the Today Show, the white halter top and black skirt. Still dying to know who that was by. I never would have guessed it was a dress, and I took multiple screen shots of it!! It really did look like separates to me. Oh, and I do want to know what the “discount” is that B was asking about, and how much she gets taken off the retail price of these things.

I thought Jason really messed things up with Max & Kristen Farrell by taking her aside and telling her Max was nervous to ask her out. He really did act like he was Max’s dad, and that’s just a buzzkill. Jason should have said nothing, and Max should have just made his small talk and called the store the next day, when he got some courage up, to ask Kristen out to lunch. Not saying this would have ignited a love affair, but at least he would have had a shot. When you ask a woman to lunch and her answer is, “Sure,” it’s not good. Kristen might as well have said, “Sure, I guess going out to lunch is better than eating a hoagie at my desk in the back of the store. And I don’t want to piss off Jason and Bethenny, since they’re good customers. Plus, a camera is on me now, and I don’t want to look like a bitch.” Funny how one word can convey all that, isn’t it?
