I Hate Jill Zarin Mid Week Update August 4, 2010

I Hate Jill Zarin                   Wednesday Update                       August 4, 2010

A little bit of news, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has been filming and an inside source tells me that they did a portion of the filming at the Merv Griffin Estate, the same one that Gretchen’s family vacationed at during last season of The Real Housewives Of Orange County.

Bravo’s confidentiality agreement is really good, no one working on the shows will say much of anything but I was able to find out that some of the crew, while working on the show, stayed at the Griffin compound.

Please accept my apology in advance while I indulge, for the first time, my personal views on trolls and haters:

It is amazing to me the number of people who truly have nothing better to do than to try to knock other people.  I’m fairly new at this, less than a year blogging but there have been way more great, interesting and wonderful people than hateful people that I have come into contact with and that is why I continue to do it.  People who see things differently from me or don’t agree with my viewpoint can do so without insulting and being mean.  If you don’t agree, tell me why, make an intelligent argument to try to convince me, otherwise, don’t read my blog.  It is pretty simple.  There are plenty of blogs out there that I do not agree with, I just move on.  There are tweets out there that I don’t agree with, people who worship reality cast members that I do not like, I don’t attack them.  I let them have their opinion, why do so many people feel like they can tweet me and tell me to stop saying what I want to say?  Do these people really believe that tweeting me telling me to stop tweeting is going to work?  Seriously?  Think about that for a minute.

I really enjoy taking an hour or two out of my day to write a blog about whatever happens to be going on any given day in the reality world.  It honestly doesn’t take that long, I have won awards back in school for my typewriting speed and since I never stopped typing, my speed has only increased.  The thing that takes the longest is cutting and pasting some of the tweets and links that I sometimes will add to my blog.  Even that doesn’t take that long.

For the haters that care so much and keep asking, yes, I do have a job or I probably wouldn’t be able to afford the high speed internet access in my home (yes I own it and its not “under”  foreclosure) and I wouldn’t be able to afford the laptop that I type on every day or the PC on my desk in my office.   I wouldn’t have been able to afford to attend all of the Blackhawk games all season or the recent trip to Canada to see my family and the Stanley Cup!  (or to Hawaii in January or to Boston last summer, etc)

The same haters want to know so I’ll tell you, yes, I have a family a loving, supportive husband who is my rock and children that are none of your business but who thrive under my care!  (not one Ashley in the bunch!)   Thank you all for your concern.  I know it seems as though I spend all of my time on this blog, I actually oftentimes feel guilty that I don’t spend enough time on the blog reading comments because I feel if you all take the time to comment, the least I can do is read them all, I will be honest, I don’t always have the time to read every single one.   I do my best!

Yes, I tweet, I do not delete my tweets, they are what they are…”It’s WHAT happened” as Bethenny would say.  Twitter isn’t a blog that you can go back later and change before it gets officially posted, it is what you are thinking or want to say at the moment.   You can always apologize or explain your tweets if you like but if you choose to tweet, you should own the content.  Just my opinion.  I enjoy the fast paced interaction on Twitter.

Finally, I know that these people are on a reality show, I know that I’m not “friends” with any of them, I know that they couldn’t care less about me, I don’t pretend to “know” any of them and I know that we only see a snippet of their lives.  Anyone feeling the need to remind me of any of these facts, really, not necessary!

So, again, I appreciate that all of the haters are so concerned about my life, no need really because I couldn’t  be happier!  The limited time I am able to spend on line may seem like a lot but really comes out to average just a few hours a day, sometimes I’m not on line at all, all day and other days I may be on for several hours.  It all depends on my schedule but thanks for caring enough to ask.

Sincerely,  LynnNChicago

OMG enough about me, sorry all!

The excuse that we recently got from Dina is that she deletes tweets because she doesn’t want certain people to get attention.  Guess what?  If you don’t want them getting attention, don’t give it to them.  Keep your twitter silent.  I have ignored countless tweets that were criticizing me for that very same reason, someone with 2 followers tweets something nasty to me just to get more followers.  If I respond, people look to see who I’m responding to and may follow.  My choice is to not respond, therefore nothing to delete later on.

Dina Manzo just doesn’t like to let things go…she continues to post tweets about me long after I’ve forgotten all about her nonsense, remember this is the Zen, peaceful Dina Manzo who wants nothing negative on her twitter timeline (unless it is negative about me apparently) :

DinaManzo:  side note: Blocking anyone who retweets Lynn or any other tweethole to me. I DON’T want that crap on my twitter. They’re all disturbed

DinaManzo:  Again, I’m zen for the most part but DO set my boundaries & will not be harassed either & guess what it’s my twitter, I could do what I want

DinaManzo:  XXXXXXX    @dinamanzo…Ur right! Lynn Hudson is a busted up, old, fat HOO-HA! Alot of peeps feel as you do. She’s an obsessive Stalker! Be Careful.

—————————————————————————————————————————–

Apparently Dina and her family enjoyed a night out at the John Mayer concert, here are her Tweets to ensure that everyone knows where she is….

DinaManzo:  @johncmayer it would be great if u gave Lexi a shout out. Center row about 10seats bk pls RT

DinaManzo:   Let’s RT that to death!!!

DinaManzo:   Look at my tweet to @johncmayer Lexi would die!!!!

DinaManzo:    Thank u all for the RT to @johncmayer I guess it would have helped if I did it BEFORE he went on stage. He was too busy singing to check twr

Yes Dina, that would have helped, I’m sure if John Mayer saw your lousy stinkin tweet BEFORE he went on stage, he would have given your daughter a shout out, maybe you’re delusional about your “status” as a celebrity Dina but John Mayer is NEVER going to acknowledge that you exist because he doesn’t know you exist, you big headed, self-important , egotistical bitch!

*John Mayer’s 3.5 million followers probably don’t ever ask him for a shout out, Dina’s tweet was most likely never seen by Mr. Mayer.

A recent tweet:

Jill Zarin:   Taste everything eat nothing. Advice from old friend.

The above quote was from Jill Zarin which is a direct quote from Bethenny’s book Naturally Thin.  Just curious as to why Jill would give out Bethenny’s advice when she has her own wonderful advice of pouring your drink on your food?

Patti Stanger:   Track record isn’t so good for Bachelors/Bachelorettes lasting…..I wouldn’t buy a dress just yet…

What a genius that Patti Stanger is!  Yuck!

If you’re not on Twitter, I hope that some of my posts help to see what others are posting on Twitter, if anyone is interested in joining but needs some tips or pointers, I’m always happy to help.  Until then, I hope you’ll continue to enjoy the tweets I post for you.   There are so many creative and hysterical people out there tweeting that I find myself laughing at them all the time.  (not to mention the hysterical comments here on my blog, if you haven’t read any, you’re missing out on the funny!)

A few samples:

Feeling1979    @teresa_giudice I CANNOT wait for 2nd book. I want 2 know secrets on 10k from “family” per month, faux furniture & how 2 get $home on 80k yr

Feeling1979    sidenote: I’m blocking anyone that bleaches their tweethole. Looking at you @dinamanzo

Feeling1979    Those damn unicorns better stop crapping in my living room or I’ll shove a rainbow up their…oh look a butterfly

Our always favorite, Ginger Zarin:

@Intensity38 u should feel that heat when crammed inside of a leather bag. U don’t know NY heat til someone makes u a trinket.

Gotta get ready for Vegas. Spray glitter and swarovski collar in the bag…

Hearing “what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas” I am planning a leap out of the bag again so I can stay there forever. Feet don’t fail me now!

Twitter aside, we have some genius and hysterical posts right here along with many who have their own blogs and web sites, here are a few that you really need to take a look at:

Here’s a really good recap of Rachel Zoe Project (and if you look around a little you’ll find a RHONJ recap as well)

http://bit.ly/cwbfkd

The Real Housewives of DC appeared on The View today, watch the full episode here:

http://abc.go.com/watch/the-view/SH559080/VD5578999/the-view-84

You can see for a moment where Whoopi comes out from backstage as she isn’t part of the crew interviewing the housewives and touches Michaele Salahi  somehow but you can’t really tell what the hell Whoopi was doing and she’s gone before you know it.  At the very end there isn’t time to properly close the show and for anyone to say, “take some time to enjoy the view”,  all we hear is Whoopi saying that she’s an interesting woman and the show is over.   I don’t know what that was all about but I am sure we haven’t heard the last of it.

Call me crazy but if The View would take more time to interview their guests and less time indulging in their own opinions about everything under the sun, the show would actually be more interesting.  I really don’t understand why they casually and lazily yap throughout ¾ of the show and then rush through an interview with the guests.  In the case of the Real Housewives of DC, they not only had an important interview with the woman accused of crashing the White House but four other woman, why not allow for more time to interview these ladies?  The View makes me crazy, this is why I don’t watch that show unless it is a guest or guest host I absolutely have to see!

The crazy person, TweetMaxine on twitter continues to spew garbage about the housewives and other Bravo celebrities.  If anyone reading this still follows, I beg you to please unfollow the crazy person!  I used to follow as well, it didn’t take me long to realize that none of the information was accurate but it was sort of funny.  It quickly became less and less funny as the tweets became more and more vicious and cruel.

Clearly the statements of the birth of Bethenny’s baby and the appearance of Jill on Bethenny’s show were lies proving that this person is NOT a Bravo insider as they claim to be.  The tweets are not just lies, they are mean spirited and this person should not be rewarded with followers.   There is a very good reason TweetMaxine protects the tweets, because the tweets are truly libelous and slanderous.  Additionally, I’ve been told that home addresses of some of the housewives have been posted by TweetMaxine.  The madness will only stop when people stop following.  I was also told that this crazy person tweeted that both Jill Zarin and Dina Manzo have taken out restraining orders against me because I threatened them.  This is obviously ridiculous and I’m not concerned that people will believe this nonsense but the lies are getting out of control.

It is not typical for me to ask something like this but I deplore anyone who is following TweetMaxine to please unfollow.  Just a humble request.  Thank you.

If you’re looking for people to follow that have REAL excellent information and some fascinating links to articles and great blogs, I can give you a list of some of the best Tweeters for Housewife lovers!

Thank you to all of you who are offering your comps for an Atlantic City trip, I wish I was invited to the reunion, just to be a fly on the wall would be amazing but to get to ask questions to the Housewives, I certainly wouldn’t hold back!  I haven’t been to Atlantic City so I’d love to take you all up on that!  Unfortunately no invitation was forthcoming, maybe next season?  LOL

Upcoming on Bravo is the Season Finale of Bethenny Getting Married? tomorrow night following the series premier of The Real Housewives of DC at 9pm-8pm Central time.

Rumor has it that the Real Housewives of Atlanta will begin airing in October, we also know that the OC ladies are back in front of the cameras.  Still no word on when The Real Housewives of New York will begin taping again.  Previous seasons began filming at the end of August, but Andy Cohen told fans to “sit tight until 2011” when he was asked about the cast of RHONY.  More speculation:

Everyone’s favorite batshit crazy housewife Kelly Bensimon is now in Las Vegas just 2 days after returning home to NY from Chicago and running in a ½ Marathon.  Does this woman ever stay home with her children?  She is constantly flying around the country.  A few of her tweets:

@kikilet  http://twitpic.com/2bl304 – In vegas wearing my new stellamccartney bag.

@kikilet  @LaurenLong the jetblue flight ti vegas is easy and fun. Tell ur fam to come to vegas

@kikilet  @ashleyfarkas so excited to be in vegas. Come to tao!!!

@kikilet  Good morning VEGAS so excited for Lavo tonight. Who’s coming to the pool with me?

Until Next Time…..

Jill Zarin: Taste everything eat nothing. Advice from old friend.

I’m confused…is the taste test before or after we pour our drink on the food? I see the “eat nothing” part isn’t working so hot for Jill…that was definitely a size 14 butt I saw going up those plane steps after she was voted off the island. (Not that a size 14 is bad, except when you are professing to be a size one.)

As for the haters and trolls…not worth your time, Lynn. They’re the dumbest hypocrites in the world. They’ll waste time razzing you about wasting time razzing other people. It’s sublimely ridiculous. And I haven’t seen one of them yet who understands the difference between “your” and “you’re”. Rocket scientists, they are not…they are running neck and neck with Kelly Bensimon in the dumb and dumber stakes.

They do make for a good laugh, though. 🙂

    • RK says:

      Lynn & DesertGal,

The “Taste everything eat nothing,” quote is not original to Bethenny. Bethenny said she got it from a ‘friend’ – believe the name drop was Paris Hilton. Read this somewhere, not going to dig up the quote, it’s out there somewhere on the net or in B’s book. Maybe Jill is friends with Paris, too. Saw Jill & Paris chatting on Kathy’s D-List show (love Kathy – btw.) But who really knows the truth of who is a real ‘friend’ with these housewife women anyway.

      (oops – double posted.)

  2. WindyCityWondering says:

    Lynn,
Thank you for your blog, for your wonderful way of summarizing the silliness of the housewives, for giving many a place to articulate their view, pose a question, introduce new facts, find other blogs of interest, share their creative talents, and creating a place where together many individuals can share a point of view with humor. It is so
refreshing to find a place where posters respect each other, can agree to disagree, play confuse the troll and take a break from their everyday lives. Bravo will continue to hand you primo material – so blog on!

    • dumberries says:

      Nicely said Windy! Ditto.

    • twoile says:

Yes very well said & may I add my thank you as well. This is the only blog I’ve found to be respectful as well as funny & informative; Lynn you do us a great service, again thank you for all you do.

  3. Quincy IL says:

Thank you for your time and this blog. I glance at the trolls and move on with no emotion. I really don’t care.

I really don’t care about Dina either. I can see why someone would get frustrated, but if she is this Bravo star, why is she bothering with the commoners on twitter? She should communicate with the Kevin Spaceys of this planet.

    • Bosandi says:

I rarely post and have never thanked you Lynn for taking the time to blog about my guilty pleasure. I think it’s a shame that you have to explain your lifestyle to anyone.

The people we are discussing have made a conscious decision to put their lives on display to the world, yet get upset when they are criticized. Talk about extreme narcissism! I wouldn’t trade my normal life for some of their lives for anything in the world.

Thanks again and thanks to the people who post here. You guys are awesome!

    • Quincy IL says:

Oh, boy. It’s going to be the Alexis show for sure.

    • kats2 says:

Do we know for sure if all the OC HW’s are back? I really don’t like them at all.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

Me either – I watched off and on and am definately in the off position for this season.

        • Quincy IL says:

Two seasons of ganging up on Vicki is going to get rather boring. There will be no Simon just the motor cycle guys that Tamara finds at the bars. I can’t wait for more muffin breakfasts with the pastor and his wife. That was fun.

          • Ugh the last thing the show needs is onw of Alexis’s friends….

            • Quincy IL says:

Wait till Alexis and her best friend start to judge Tamara’s behavior with the motor cycle gang. I saw that Alexis was asked about gay marriage in the reunion. I can bet that she and hubby have opinions, but did not share. It would be interesting to do a little background work on the mega church she goes to just to see if they are very conservative or not. Will there be “naked wasted” dinner parties? Will Gretchen fall over drunk in a red Marilyn Monroe dress? Stay tuned.

          • kk says:

i don’t like Vicki or Tamra after they drugged Gretchen.

    • felony stupid says:

Peggy, the new HW, claims to have been friends with Alexis for 15 years. Alexis is 33 (or at least claims to be) and Peggy says shes 41. Does she want us to buy that an 18 year old Alexis was chumming around with a 26 year old Peggy? Hmmm…

In the comments sections someone posted a link to Peggy & Micah’s wedding pictures (there are dozens and they are neither professional nor interesting) and I didn’t see Alexis in any of them, so not sure how deep this “friendship” runs.

Not an Alexis fan. I find her pretentious and phony so anyone who claims a friendship with her has an automatic strike. If Peggy is smart she’ll distance herself rather quickly.

    • hey, i didn’t know that Jeana Keough was going to be on Jackie Warners new show!! says she’s going to lose 25 lbs. can’t wait. i kinda liked Jeana

      • Sha2000 says:

I like Jeana too & I think her daughter is great. I normally hate seeing the families of theses shows but she’s very funny; best line of all time on the HW’s shows belongs to Kera (not sure of the spelling), “I don’t know who I want to be but I know I want to be the boss lady”. It seems to me Jeana & Vickie’s daughters are the two most well adjusted smartest kids out of all of the casts.

    • Rabble Rouser says:

My guess is that if they are friendly with the Alexis and her boorish husband- then they too are full of shit. IMO , the husbands title sounds dubious at best as a legitimate means of a steady income.

  6. Dawn says:

    Lynn,

I think you meant to use the word implore instead of “deplore” in the following sentence. Not nitpicking, honest! LOVE your blog.

It is not typical for me to ask something like this but I deplore anyone who is following TweetMaxine to please unfollow. Just a humble request. Thank you.

    • LynnNChicago says:

you’re probably right. thanks for the correction! 🙂

      • vilzvet says:

She must have meant to say she deplores Maxine!!

      • Sue says:

Hey Lynn. Stay strong. Love your blog; love your tweets. I actually did follow TweetMaxine for a few days just to read what has been said about her.

OMG, she is horrible. The lies she spewed about Bethenny and Jason..I tweeted her just before I unfollowed her and todl her what I thought of her.

        Enjoy B’s finale tonight. I can’t wait.

        Sue

  7. kats2 says:

Lynn – thanks for this great blog and all your blogs. I enjoy coming here and chatting with everyone, you’ve created a great site with really entertaining and friendly people.

Trolls, Dina, Teresa, Jill, Ashley can all suck it!

  8. kats2 says:

BTW – I think I’m spending way too much here so please feel free to kick me out of the blog club 🙂

  9. klmh says:

I think this article addresses some questions from posters on the last blog:

‘Real Housewives’ Tired of Being ‘Used’ By Bravo
    By:Rob Shuter
If you think being the star of a hit TV series with millions of viewers will make you rich, think again. Just ask the ladies of Bravo’s ‘Real Housewives’ franchise.

“All the ladies have had enough of being used by Bravo and plan to start fighting back,” a friend of one ‘Housewife’ tells me. “They are pissed that they only get paid $3,000 to tape each episode and are furious that they get paid nothing to tape the reunion episode. It’s two full days of their lives with no lunch breaks and no pay. Everyone on the set is getting a paycheck except the stars. How can that be right?”

And it’s not just the reunion shows that Bravo has added to the ladies taping schedule with no extra pay. Last week, executives decided that in order to breathe new life into its troubled ‘Project Runway’ parrot, ‘The Fashion Show,’ the ‘Housewives’ from New Jersey should make an appearance.

“None of the housewives wanted to be on ‘The Fashion Show,'” one insider tells me. “However, the network insisted they film all week for hours and hours, and to add insult to injury, they got nothing in return. Not even a thank you.”

However, the ladies have decided to fight back. First, the ‘Housewives of Atlanta’ took a stand — getting together before taping their reunion show and all agreeing not to fight unless they got paid. It didn’t work for them, but the resulting snore-fest made Bravo change its mind when it came to taping the New York reunion.

“I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the New York ladies showed up to duke it out and then delivered,” a source close to production tells me. “Tell me Bethenny dragged her ass to the filming days after giving birth for free. No way. Bravo got so much from them. They turned it into a three-episode special and got their highest ratings for the New York series ever. So paying those girls was well worth it.”

Now, with the New Jersey reunion taping today and tomorrow in Atlantic City, let’s hope Bravo opened up its checkbook, because as one Garden State ‘Housewife’ explains to me, “Working for them is like slave labor. They might be able to make us show up, but if they want us to put on a show they better pony up the cash.”

    • icantstandthetoxicity says:

I think Teresa is the “source” for this article. The NJ Housewives better be careful if they are thinking about making demands for an outrageous amount of money. Bravo won’t hesitate to replace them.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

Oh it has to be Teresa – she thinks she deserves more money because she brought the drama and finally had a face to face with Danielle. Let’s see, being on the show gives you the opportunity to brand and sell yourself (think BOOK, think TEE SHIRTS) or are you giving all that revenue to charity???? The $3,333 per episode is to defray your costs for being on the show (within your means)….. greed is a very ugly color on anyone, honey.

        • moriasheehan says:

the only reason i feel they are underpaid (if all above is true) is how little they make compared to the bazillions bravo and assoc. are making.

      • klmh says:

Well, I don’t speculate, just pass information I’ve read thru published articles along…

    • Need a Hobby says:

People on the last blog were responding to this article.

The article answers nothing and includes bs. Evidently Rob’s source is speculating about stuff she doesn’t know. (Is the cost of electrolysis now beyond her reach?) This Rob fellow doesn’t care if he gets “spun” like a top and falls for it. He’s a stenographer for the D Listers: they feed him “insider exclusives” and he copies and pastes what they give him and puts it on the net. He calls that “work.” One can see why he’s confused about the concept.

The HW’s contracts are for the season and include the reunion and promo gigs. The first season NJ’s pay might have averaged out to $3K per episode. Reportedly they’re getting much more than that now.

Whoever’s whining about how terrible it is to be “forced” to go on paid vacations, wear loaned and free fancy clothes, and be given an entree into venues that previously wouldn’t let them in by the back door, has no shame. They should be exposed in public so real working families of NJ can let them know what they think about such “hardships.”

      • klmh says:

I suppose it comes down to this, would you sell your soul to the devil? That’s what these women have decided to do to become famous, in their minds, and make money, . Its their call, not mine, but I must admit to watching a few of the Bravo shows and I’m am helping them remain on television, and make money, just as you are. Funny, isn’t it?

      • kk says:

$3k/episode is what… $30,000 for a part time job that lasts 4 months, free clothes, swag, dinners, parties, book deals, endorsements, modeling gigs, free advertisements for their businesses, QVC jewelry……

        Did I leave anything out.

    • felony stupid says:

Dayam…the idea is that we are getting a glimpse into the world of the rich housewives of -pick your city-. These ladies were cast to show us how the rich live it up, what their homes look like, what cars they drive, what amazing designer clothes they wear. As it turns out, the HW franchise has uncovered quite a few not-so-honest HWs with far less means than they led us to believe. If it turns out that they are relying on the income from HW, well then, IMO they do not meet the specs for this show.

I get that some become more famous and that can be parlayed into more $ (whether that is via salary or marketing personal stuff like books/clothes, whatever), cool, but this is not slave labor. Each signed a contract that included the finale and appearances (thats why they can “make you show up”, T – you stupid neanderthal). If you want to renegotiate, go for it, but don’t be surprised that there are 500 women standing behind you, more than willing to take $3K an episode and show up smiling for the “free” appearances. Keep kicking that little $40K p/y gifthorse in the mouth and you’ll be kneedeep in marinara sauce with nobody filming you or giving a shit.

      • dumberries says:

Hee hee. “…knee deep in marinara sauce…” I’ve got a mental picture of Teresa sinking in a sea of red sauce, like quick sand. As she slowly descends into the marinara abyss, she keeps asking “but, ain’t I nice bitch?!” I must be getting tired. Thanks for the smiles felony!

  10. error404 says:

Eh, just give it up to blog Jesus.

Hate usually ends up being more about the haterz than the hated. The first entire year Mr404 blogged, people kept posting “get a job!” over and over. But he had a job. LOL

Somehow, telling people who spend 5 minutes online that they are wasting their lives and have nothing going on so they spend all day online is like HATE 101 or something.

    • Quincy IL says:

Jealousy is the reason for most of the hate on the planet. That and the desire to have power over another person, for example, having the power to tell Lynn not to blog. It similar to Kelly’s “I am up here, you are down there” diatribe.

The key is to ignore and enjoy sharing with the squirrels of the blogs. LOL..
I just love that girl… Oh.. I am a fan of all of you, but she is so darn cute.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

I am reading this blog, watching Ghost Hunters, petting my dogs when they come by my chair, carrying on a conversation with my youngest, replying to my oldest who is at band camp and sipping a glass of water. How do you measure real time devoted to the blog when doing all of the above? And the irony of someone telling you to get a job/life, etc when they are doing exactly what you are doing……lol

      • Quincy IL says:

I multitask all day and include checking this blog too. I feel like you all are friends and I love the interesting subjects that you bring to conversations.

      • kats2 says:

        WCW

This – “I am reading this blog, watching Ghost Hunters, petting my dogs when they come by my chair, carrying on a conversation with my youngest, replying to my oldest who is at band camp and sipping a glass of water.”

I’m exhaused from just reading that!

Karma, the bitch: look at Joe’s driving suspension record!
    Article from The Daily Record.

    By Peggy Wright
MORRISTOWN — The husband of ”Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice will feature in his own drama on Aug. 20 when he is expected in Superior Court to appeal the sentence he got for driving while intoxicated.

Montville resident Giuseppe ”Joe” Giudice, 40, was found guilty in March by township Municipal Court Judge Seth I. Davenport of driving while intoxicated on Jan. 14 on Jacksonville Road.

He also was found guilty of careless driving and failure to maintain a lane after the 1:47 a.m. accident in which he flipped his truck.

The husband of the Bravo Network reality TV show star is fighting the sentence that Davenport imposed, arguing it is too harsh by unfairly including 30 days of community service. If Giudice fails to complete the service, a 30-day jail sentence would be imposed, under Davenport’s order.

In court papers, defense lawyer Joseph T. Afflitto Jr. argued that Davenport abused his discretion and that Superior Court Judge Philip J. Maenza, upon his review on Aug. 20, should amend an alleged excessive sentence.

Morris County Assistant Prosecutor Matheu Nunn, in court papers, said the imposition of community service or 30 days jail time was fully within the judge’s discretion. Nunn noted that Giudice has an abysmal driving record and that Davenport rejected his defense in municipal court that he drank alcohol at a neighbor’s house only after he flipped his truck.

Afflitto was not available for comment and Giudice could not be reached as his published home number has been disconnected.

Over the past 20 years, Giudice’s license has been suspended for 9.4 years and at the time of the municipal court trial he had 39 points on his license. The sanctions were for such offenses as speeding, leaving the scene of an accident and careless driving. Afflitto contends the DWI was Giudice’s first and that he was cooperative with police and didn’t harm anyone by flipping his truck.

On the DWI, Davenport imposed $864 in penalties; revoked his driver’s license for 12 months; and ordered him to perform 30 days community service. A 30-day jail sentence was suspended, providing the community service is completed.
The judge separately fined Giudice $236 for careless driving and failing to maintain a lane.

The Giudices are facing another real life drama: their personal belongings and contents of their lavish mansion in Towaco are scheduled to be auctioned off on Aug. 22 to pay creditors. The Giudices filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, with reported debts of $11 million and income of just $80,000.

Police investigating the crash located Giudice at his neighbor’s house. At trial he tried to use what is known as a ”glove box defense,” or claim of drinking after an accident so a blood test reading would be invalid.

His blood-alcohol content after the crash was .11 percent, or above the .08 percent at which a motorist is considered intoxicated in New Jersey.

Nunn also said that Davenport determined that the witness Giudice called to support his claim of drinking only after the crash ”completely lacked credibility” and ”was out and out lying.” The judge wanted Giudice to get the message that he had to respect motor vehicle laws, Nunn wrote.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Juicy Joe better lay off the juice and find better neighbors who know how to LIE….community service vs jail time – no brainer Joe just do the time and leave the community alone!

    • Quincy IL says:

At the time Teresa said that the truth would come out and it looks like the truth did come out. Joe committted a hit and run?

Joe is accused of forgery and has been indited. Will the other offences like committing a hit and run affect his trial? This is a really bad man.

      • Need a Hobby says:

Juicy has not been indicted for forgery. Juicy’s former business partner accused him of forgery during a civil proceeding to recover money Juicy owed him. The partner won the civil case. But there are no criminal charges pending from that. As far as I’m aware, the only criminal proceeding in which Juicy has been charged is this DUI.

That may change if the gov’t finds matters of interest in his business dealings and income reporting. (That would be fun.)

    • kats2 says:

KLMH – great find and thank you for sharing this, It was my B-Day on Monday between the Garage Sales on the 22nd and now this news about Joe -what a great present! I knew I wasn’t wrong about Joe and Teresa.

It’s time for Teresa and Joe to do some time behind bars. It’s this arrogant I’m the above the law, I can do whatever I want attitude that makes me hate them. Even Jill doesn’t act that way. This Judge should be praised. If Joe did hurt someone he wouldn’t even be able to pay their hospital bills.

I really can’t stand them, they have no respect for the law or other people. How can anyone support or like them? Even the Manzo’s and specifically Albie with his new career should think twice about hanging out with them.

This is just not a normal way to act, how were they raised, why do they feel so entitled to just do whatever they want and NOT ONCE take any responsibility. They excuses for everything they do wrong. Even Danielle owns her disgusting past, even that Danny character owned his crap and paid the price. Tell me again why Teresa thinks she’s better than Danielle? They should BFF’s. The arrogance of these two is really psychotic.

Is it possible he is on film (proof) that he has been driving without a license?

We need to connect the dots and get this info to someone STAT! HA!!

    • ramonacoaster says:

Holy moly! 39 points on his license! and he still has one? I guess over 9 years he averages between 4-5 points a year not enough to get suspended. But jeez I wouldn’t want to be a pedestrian, driver or even within his 100 ft of him driving.

      • Laura aka Just done says:

Actually, that can’t be right. Your points go away after awhile, you don’t just accumulate them. I know, at one time I had 2 points on my license…and I thought that was bad. My insurance was through the roof!

        • moriasheehan says:

no wonder they had no insurance on the escalade(?)

          • BamaBelle says:

            Great find, Klmh…

I can’t believe Joe Giudice is complaining about a 30 day suspended sentence and only got community service and a 12 month suspended DL. Excuse me, but that’s getting off easy considering his driving record. I would think he would have to serve some jail time for his DUI!

The article said he was sentenced in May, so it was just a few months ago and after filming the show. Still-with his driving record and having a combined total of 9 years without a license, I can’t believe Teresa would let him drive the kids around with no seatbelts on, unbelievable!

How stupid does Joe think the Judge is? Yeah right, I ran to a neighbor’s house and got drunk after I flipped my trunk at almost 3:00 am in the morning. Why was Joe even out at that time of night drinking and driving? I’m beginning to think he DOES have a mistress.

I can’t wait to see this episode because it happened while filming. So, Joe comes home drunk-tells Teresa I flipped my trunk, Honey. But, I wasn’t drinking-I went to the neighbors house after the wreck and had a few too many.

Forget about it! I’ll take care of it Tree-go back to bed! Whhhhhaaaatttttttt, Jooooooooeeeeee, are you alright? Yeah-shut-up, Honey!

(Teresa)-Don’t call me Honey, what have you been doing all night?

(Joe)-How about Bitch? Is Bitch, better?

These two frauds/crooks make me sick and guess what? I’ve decided to like Danielle just because Teresa doesn’t, LOL! I hope Danielle sticks it to Teresa at the reunion, but 3 or 4 against 1 is going to be hard. I want to hear Caroline defend this shit about Joe’s DUI and their 11 million bankruptcy debt-can’t wait!

    • LynnNChicago says:

Fanfuckintastic! I bet judges just love it when you appeal their sentance saying that they abused their authority. I’d love to be in the courtroom on Aug 20 for this appeal. He’s lucky that’s all he got was 30 days of community service, the lazy ass should just get out there and clean up the highways of NJ like the rest of the drunk drivers out there! Hell Kelly did her community service, time for Juicy Joe to clean up the streets!

Wasn’t this “accident” the same night as he was dining with Tamra from the OC?

    • Rabble Rouser says:

A drunk driver fleeing the scene, then either claiming they had drinks elsewhere or actually consuming them is the oldest trick in the book. The concept is instead of being dinged with a DUI the most sever charged is leaving the scene of an accident.

I’m glad the judge isn’t buying it.

They should bring Teresa’s interview in where she said, “It’s a shame no one can have a drink anymore,” into court when Joe is putting forward that BS defense. Teresa has already admitted in interviews that Joe drank before the accident.

  16. MickeyMouth says:

Vent all you want Lynn, but don’t sweat the trolls.

I watched The View interview on-line earlier. They are so frustrating with their over speak and pontificating. This may be an unpopular opinion, but I can’t hate on the Salahis for getting into the White House. If they weren’t invited they should have never been able to get in. If what they did was illegal, and the White House or Secret Service has nothing to be embarrassed about, then they would have gone to jail. Somehow I think they will give me other reasons to dislike them but currently I’m trying to keep an open mind. I kind of get a good vibe from Stacie Turner and she seemed comforting to Michaela during the entire interview so I’ll wait and see. Oh, to all the lawyers in here (I know there are a few), am I correct thinking that once you invoke the 5th you can’t answer anything after that no matter what. I know that’s not the case always but I was wondering if in their case it was.

I am a twit when it comes to tweeting. I didn’t realize when I authenticated my photoblog to twitter that it would tweet every time I posted something new. So sometimes I would tweet things that I already tweeted. So any tips are appreciated. Tweet

Hi guys! Thank you so much for the warm welcome! I think Joy is tired!!! ,even Kelly Ripa stopped doing 2 shows at once! To quote Bethenny”Go to sleep!”

    • BamaBelle says:

I agree with you, Mickey Mouth.

Something isn’t right about this whole thing? How did they get through the gate and security in the first place? How did they know there was a party, what time, and what door to arrive at? How did they get in at that check-point? There’s a lot of unanswered questions and I would think if they truly crashed the White House party, why haven’t they been arrested?

What Whoopi did was ridiculous and unprofessional. I can’t stand that woman (Whoopi)-have no use for her at all, but if I had the opportunity to interview her, I would be respectful and professional. I don’t blame the Salahi’s for being upset.

      • Rabble Rouser says:

I’m not sure what went down, but if the Salahi’s were disrespected then good for Whoopi Goldberg.

  17. Capiche says:

  18. TrueLifeDiva says:

How do you get 39 points on your record? Here in Cali if you get (I think) 12-15 points they take away your license for life. How does he get insurance? I can’t even imagine how expense it must be.

    • kats2 says:

I wonder if he even has insurance? But he must have or they would have busted him for that too.

How the hell did they pay for that new baby, even with good insurance there are still hospital bills???

      • WindyCityWondering says:

one would think the hospital will get stifted – but only because they are stiffing the fertility clinic – no boy, no joy – no pay!

      • BamaBelle says:

I read that at the time of the bankruptcy filing, Joe and Teresa didn’t have insurance on their car. Now we know why-they couldn’t afford it because of Joe’s driving record. What an idiot!

    • WindyCityWondering says:

We need one of our real Jersey housewives to explain the point system to us and whether or not you have to have proof of insurance when pulled over.

      • Laura aka Just done says:

WCW – re: the point system. I have no points on my license. If you have 4+ points, you are screwed. A speeding ticket can give you 2 points, usually you can go to court and get away with just a fine and no points. Once your points go up, your insurance goes up. With 39 points, I can’t understand any insurance company willing to insure them in the first place. The insurance probably isn’t in his name. Trust me, many play the system here, and that is why we have one of the highest insurance in the country.

As for if you have to provide your insurance card…YES. Registration, insurance and license, each and every time you are pulled over. No question about it.

I don’t understand how he got 39 points, and still managed to keep his license. That is insane. Also, when you have that many points/summons, you have to start paying a fee to DMV. I forget what it is called, but for a 4 point ticket, I believe it’s $100/year, for 3 years. Imagine how much he was supposed to pay DMV every year? I can’t imagine it.

      • you lose your license at 12-15 points. he had no insurance as far I remember(i rmbr reading about this incident in paper b4 I found you guys) it was one of the things he got cited for. he also had revoked license. if you get no violations for 2 years they start to remove points, the more years , the more points you lose. if you keep getting tickets, you keep getting points and , well, hope you get the point…..anyway, he’s been driving illegally for years. Im sure this makes no sense..

        • vilzvet says:

I wonder what they are driving now? The Escalade was seized, right?

        • Rabble Rouser says:

So Joe had a revoked license yet was seen numerous times driving around in this series- with his wife, children and Bravo camera crews inside the car with him.

We all saw Slade driving without a license last season on RHWOC with a passengers that included camera crew.

Should Bravo or Shed Media have some sort of obligation to it’s employees to ensure that aren’t put at risk by unlicensed and uninsured drivers?

          • BamaBelle says:

            Rabble,

I’m assuming Joe had the accident during the filming of the show. He just recently went to court in May of this year for his court date and that’s when he lost his license for 12 months, got a 30 day suspended jail sentence and 30 days of community service.

Someone up-thread said Joe was dining with Tamra from the OC. I didn’t know that. Was Teresa there? Can someone tell me what happened? Y’all always have the lastest and best information!

            • Rabble Rouser says:

Maybe he had a license, but did he have valid insurance? I doubt it, given what we know that wasn’t getting paid. The question still remains if those in a car with him were aware of his driving record, since they clearly were at risk.

Slade certainly doesn’t have a license- but Bravo helps to facilitate it happening.

There has to be some accountability on the part of Bravo to keep their employee’s in check.

  19. HD says:

I soooooooooooo hate to say this as I HATE Jill Zarin….I remember her telling Bethanny I believe in season one, taste everything, eat nothing. I remember it well because I am always trying to lose weight and I thought damn that’s a good idea. I hate giving her credit. I can’t be certain she said it to Bethanny (but I think she did) but I am 100% sure that Jill, the woman I love to hate, said it. 😦

    • HD says:

Then again maybe Bethanny said it to her and she was just repeating it the day that I heard it so oh well….satchels of gold. At any rate, I taste and eat everything that is why I am in this fat situation now.

      • Quincy IL says:

It’s really frustrating, but Bethenny’s book is helpful.

        • WindyCityWondering says:

yes read the book! plenty of good ideas that you can incorporate into your lifestyle – her newsletter is really cool too.

          • HD says:

Thanks for the encouragement. I am really amazed by how skinny Bethanny is and she seems to eat and drink like a regular person so what she says must work.

            • Quincy IL says:

She uses portion control, but the most important thing is not to binge. If you start to binge, stop yourself right then.
Just recently she twittered that she is having a hard time finding time for yoga, but that portion control and your diet is more important. I found that out too.
The key is not to binge. If you start to binge, stop yourself, forgive yourself, and get back on track. Trust me it works.

              • Quincy IL says:

oops… That was redundant. I stopped to give food to hungry kittens and lost my place.

      • Tootsie says:

You are not fat! You are fluffy.

    • Need a Hobby says:

My recollection is that it’s Bethenny’s saying: “taste everything, eat nothing.”
Rather than denying oneself entirely and craving, have a little bit. Just don’t go whole hog (so to speak). The idea is to get away from the stress and guilt over food.

      • HD says:

Yeah, I probably just heard Jill repeat it or something. It is really good advice if you can stick to that so then you won’t feel cheated.

@Quincy-you are sooooooooooo right! Portion control is the biggest thing and diet is the key. You can work out like crazy but if you are eating Big Macs and fries all day you aren’t doing yourself any favors. I am doing P90X right now and I am really learning about eating healthy. It does take work and effort but I am determined not to give up this time.

      • i like the way Bethenny describes your food like a “bank Account” you start each day with a certain amount of calories. when you have eaten all your calories, your account is closed! it works for me, I lost 20 lbs following that advise!!

          • BamaBelle says:

            So do I, HD… LOL!

Actually, Kim G could be the New Jersey Housewives version of McGyver—-not trying to escape from situations but tying instead to insert herself into everyone else’s business and scenes, despite everyone’s attempt to keep her out.

Hell, Kim G could hit the road and do the whole HW circuit, trying to crash all the shows from Bev Hills to Atlanta. That might liven things up a bit.

I see we’ve had a couple of new poster’s today. Welcome! So glad you chimed in and looking forward to hear your opinions

I think it’s funny that Juicy Joe tried to convince them that he hadn’t had anything to drink until after he rolled his truck. You know they are going to take a breath test so why would you go to a friends house and have a drink, especially if you hadn’t had any before? Who’s going to believe that? Evidently Juicy doesn’t understand the concept of if you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime.

    First some general housekeeping…

Lynn, love the blog and thank you for helping me fill my empty useless life… the one with a wonderful boyfriend, two beautiful children (ok yes I am a little biased), a house (while it may not be paid for it is worth more than I owe Teresa), and my great job that I get to do from home every day.

Viki, so sorry to hear about your loss. I know how difficult it is. Going to animal shelters does help; regardless if you get another pet right away. It will help you realize what a great life your Doti (I hope the name is right) had and what a difference you made to her.

EMT, I hope your mom is on her way to fast recovery.

Quincey, IL… is Squirels your daughter? I am thinking a read that recently and if true how cool it is you guys communicate here.

Mickey Mouth – You talent is SO impressive. I admire those with artistic ability, especially since I have none.

HD, Windy City, Housewife Haters, Laura, dumberries, Error404 (who I thought was male for a while maybe the avatar?)and many others… thanks for just being here and continuing to make me feel welcome.

Yes, and even a BIG thank you to Jill Zarin because if you were not such a bitch this group wouldn’t be here.

PS Hater – keep moving… there is no room here for hate.

OK, you let me know. I’m definitely there 🙂 I think Kats and many others would kill me if I missed it! LOL

This is just silly. First of all, they all signed a contract with Bravo, and I have no doubt that they each had a lawyer go over the fine print with them before they signed…so they can’t now claim that Bravo is somehow taking advantage of them. As for “being used” by Bravo…of course they are being used by Bravo. That’s the whole point. These women can’t honestly believe that Bravo and Shed Media are going to shell out millions of dollars to produce the franchise and NOT have it be to their advantage.

They DO get paid for the reunion show, and they DO have lunch breaks, etc. There are federal laws that ensure that, for one thing, and I really doubt any viewer is going to buy the idea that Bravo/Shed Media employ some type of “secret” sweatshop/slave labor standard when it comes to the housewives.

Is the housewife “friend” TweetMaxine? This smacks of her style of idiocy.

  27. Obsessed with RH says:

I can’t believe that I’m saying this, and it must just be because I haven’t seen or heard new antics of that fraggle looking Jill Zarin, but I think I actually hate Teresa Giudice even more than Jill. I’ve said it before, I am 100% Italian, (off the boat) and she continues to get away with spewing these “Italian” generalizations which aren’t even the case for Italians living in this country for YEARS. (For the record, my husband’s family is about 4 generations removed and STILL doesn’t act like her). That’s honestly the icing on the cake. Her abhorrent face and mouth drive me even more insane. The sound of her trailer trash (which hopefully is where she’ll end up) mouth makes me want to jab a rusty fork in my eye. Her RIDICULOUS attitude, sense of entitlement makes me ill, and the fact that even AFTER the PUBLIC RECORDS of her bankruptcy (get that Teresa? everyone can see the big ol numbeezzz on da payypahh) she still denies that it was due to her spending and her recklessness. Now, I usually really do leave children alone but those children are clones of their mother. Self entitled, spoiled, rude, obnoxious brats, and it makes me ill that she continues to get attention. Much like the fraggle that is Jill Zarin, Teresa and her steroid pumping slumlord, deceitful disgusting human being of a husband need to fall down a black hole and never come out. I can say that if Teresa is on RHNJ next season I don’t think I’ll be watching, unless she’s doing her talking head interviews in an orange jumpsuit. Sorry for the rant. She gets me SOOO MAD!

    • kats2 says:

Obsessed with RH – Great post – I totally agree with you. I’m half Italian and have some very Italian relatives and the “Italian” generalizations drive me crazy. I do hate her more.

      • Obsessed with RH says:

Thx! I cringed watching the scenes of them in Italy. Those children with those RIDICULOUS fur coats and hats and lord only knows how stupid, obnoxious and entitled she will act when they’re in Italy, i.e., “Whaddyaa meaann yousss don’t sppeakkaaa Itallian tha way I do….yeaahhh I’m speakkin italiann..bippidy boop boopidy bah…” Disgrace to the Italian culture.

        • TLM says:

It bothers me that Teresa always trots out her Italian heritage and the fact that she & Juicy Joe were born there, yet she doesn’t even pronounce their last name properly. It should be “Joo-DEE-chay”. Instead, she says “Joo-DICE”, like rolling dice. Does she really think people can’t pronounce it the right way? If people could master Gyllenhaal, I think they could get Giudice.

      • MickeyMouth says:

What’s the difference between Italian and Sicilian. My friend is Sicilian and she always corrects anyone who says she’s Italian.

        • Obsessed with RH says:

I am not from Sicily so I will not try to comment with 100% certainty but Sicily is an autonomous region off of the coast of Italy, (the boot kicking the little island, being Sicily). The island was once a nation in its own right but when Italy was unified it became part of Italy. (There’s a whole lot more history to it). It is a part of Italy, but because of its history as well as its proximity to Africa and due to the heavy immigration from Greece and other areas, there are many traditions/cultural differences between those from the “mainland” and Sicily.

          • MickeyMouth says:

Thanks. I was just wondering. People seem to use the term interchangeably.

            • Obsessed with RH says:

Most Italians I know consider people from Sicily “Italians” as well but others get offended because they feel there is a vast difference between being “Italian” and being “Sicilian.” To each his own I guess…

              • vilzvet says:

Yes, it is a region of Italy. Since there is a word “Sicilian” if your roots are from there many Italians say they’re Silician. In my family it’s 50/50 so I say I’m both.

          • TLM says:

Sicily is in the south of Italy, and like the US, the south historically has been more struck by poverty. Northern Italy has always been wealthier. Most of the immigrants that came to the US and ended in New York, Philadelphia and New Jersey came from the south of Italy – it makes sense, since wealthy people would have less incentive to leave in search of a better life. In my area, many are originally from an island called Ischia, off the coast of Naples. Sicily is even further south.

        • Rabble Rouser says:

I think that it’s kind of like how in America certain regions see themselves are more distinct than the rest of the country- the way someone here in the U.S. might refer to themselves as a “Texan”.

      • Blue Sky says:

Lynn – great response to the haters, hope they stay away! This is a great blog, thank you for taking the time to write it!

I’ve been to Italy, and nope I’m not an expert, but there’s a big difference between north & south. The northern Italians dislike the southern, because they see them as lazy. Naples is filthy, the mafia or “gomorrah” control the city, garbage everywhere. Sicily is also controlled by the mafia too, but it is beautiful. Taorminha, Sicily is perhaps the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen. Here’s a link to see images:
        http://www.pbase.com/bauer/taormina
(Google Taorminha and get even more images, the link for those was too long to post.)

I love Italy, and absolutely hate what Teresa & Joe are doing to disparage Italian heritage. Disgusting how he even cheats at driving.

A great movie that gives you the flavor of North vs. South Italian style is “Ciao Professore!” it’s Italian, and hilarious.

        • MickeyMouth says:

One of my favorite movies is Cinema Paradisio and I love the score by Ennio Morricone. I have never been to Italy but would like to go someday.

          • Blue Sky says:

Mickey, love that movie too! Also love the art you create with the housewives. How about Teresa as Marie Antoinette, about to lose her head?!! LOL

I was very fortunate to be able to see some of Europe, traveling with my husband on business. Italy was our favorite. My husband is Indian, & I am Swiss/German/Irish. Italy was one of the few places where my husband was treated with respect. The worst? Austria & Switzerland.

The churches, and art are the best in Italy. It’s so beautiful you just become speechless.

        • Sha2000 says:

          BlueSky,

They would have stood out like sore thumbs in Italy. Been there many times & I bet their “Italian” would not have been understood, lol.

    • WindyCityWondering says:

Hope that rant helped! I’m not Italian and I feel like she is disgracing all Italians…and if it helps she is definately in a different class from Fraggle Zarin – but very worthy of “I hate Teresa Guidice”!!!!

      • vilzvet says:

Just saw the preview and yes the kids looked absurd in those stupid outfits. You can bet that Bravo did not foot the bill for the outrageous shopping Teresa must have done to prepare for the trip. The other small satisfaction I get is that Bravo sent them in the dead of winter and it looks like they froze their butts off.

    • Blue Sky says:

The DC housewives were on the View yesterday. You can watch it on hulu.com or ABC.com. They were fighting (Salahi seems disliked by all!) and Whoopi tapped the arm of Salahi, asking her to stay focused on the White House question. Well, Tariq Salahi & his wife (Micheala whatev’) accused Whoopi of hitting her ! Clearly a lie, I saw the tape. Whoopi is answering their accusations on the View today. I will tape it, can’t believe the idiocy of the Salahis.

      • MickeyMouth says:

They are definitely Bravo’s type. Two fame whores. Whoopi should have stayed away. She is just helping to invite press for them and addressing it only gives it validity.

        • BamaBelle says:

I broke down and watched that clip of The View.

No, Whoopi didn’t hit her, but she did sort of sneak up on her and touch her arm and say something to her. I don’t think Whoopi had any right to do this. She wasn’t even in on the converstion. How many other people have been on The View that Whoopi likes that dodged a question or tried to change the subject, but wasn’t treated that way?

What Whoopi did was very unprofessional and disrespectful… who does she think she is?

  28. Obsessed with RH says:

And don’t get me started on that “Godfather-esque” Christening. What a damn circus. Actually, that’s an insult to the circus….what a hot mess. I don’t believe for a second Teresa didn’t know anything about the finances. Teresa even said in the car that Joe never used to know how much she spent on parties, but now Joe has the checkbook so he knows. This was after the $5 dollar shoe store comment….maybe Teresa’s forehead is like Pinocchio’s nose…it gets smaller with every lie she tells…that would explain its non-existence.

        Kats2,

Here’s part of the article about Joe:

MORRISTOWN — The husband of ”Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice will feature in his own drama on Aug. 20 when he is expected in Superior Court to appeal the sentence he got for driving while intoxicated.

Montville resident Giuseppe ”Joe” Giudice, 40, was found guilty in March by township Municipal Court Judge Seth I. Davenport of driving while intoxicated on Jan. 14 on Jacksonville Road.
        ********************************************************

Joe got his DWI on January 14th, 2010 while the show was taping. He was convicted in March, after filming. He’s going to appeal his “excessive” sentence on Aug. 20th… then, it’s time for the auction on the 22nd. Karma’s a BITCH… ain’t it Joe?

    • Sha2000 says:

I am sure we won’t have to wait long to know what happened as Ashley will tweet about it!

    • Obsessed with RH says:

Someone needs to duct tape Ashley’s fingers to her mouth so we no longer have to see the tweets or hear her horrific voice. I loathe that that dumbshit has been given a platform to continue her bullshit behavior through this show. Honestly. Jacqueline should have had her tubes tied after that horseface spawn. Ok, maybe that was pushing it…but I can’t stand Ashley or the fact that she takes ALL criticism as “haters.”

      • vilzvet says:

I doubt Ashley was on the couch (she BETTER not have been!), but she sure as sh*t was on the sidelines hearing and watching it all. And no, you weren’t too harsh Obsessed, I stopped reading her tweets and I’m much saner.

  34. ramonacoaster says:

$.01….okay…I am not a mathematician but how many people would have to use this thing to pay off her 11 million dollars worth of debt? People are so gullible. Save Teresa Fund. This must be a joke because if they are serious they are really pathetic. I wouldn’t give Teresa ANY of my money. So she can do what with it? Buy more ice sculptures?

      • Sha2000 says:

How about a save the rest of us fund? Our street had five short sales & one foreclosure that sits rotting as I type this. The neighbors & I have calculated that each has cost us at least 50k in equity & the foreclosure god only knows….all because 90% of these people lived way beyond the means like Teressa & her husband; why should irresponsibility be rewarded? I wonder what they put down on that house?

  36. I know that I felt insulted when I happened upon a random blog and found creepy comments mentioning Lynn & people who post here, and then I saw that someone who acts like Lynn is their enemy was there, but really whoever it is is probably mad that they are not controlling people like TWOP, I mean Bravo.
That Twitter thing with Dina vs. Lynn had to be a little bit of a shock-maybe Dina’s mad ’cause no one talks about her? OR because Lynn took the time to call attention to Dina’s tweets?
These Bravolebrities can’t have everything. They cannot control the www, so they should should just be careful what they do online. Like Jill with Amazon etc.
Is Lynn being hated by anyone who doesn’t like Bethenny or who likes Jill?
Ha ha–really you have to blame Bravo for that, they put the bitch edit on Jill, you really cannot blame the viewers or bloggers for that.
I’ve been playing with Twitter, and it is a little kooky over there. I think I’m in a fight with #RHOT, and I didn’t do anything to them.
I’m still trying to figure-out how to see messages. I have an experimental page that shows a bunch of HW & Andy’s Tweets but it is kind of Beta http://realtweets.blogspot.com/
I’m sorry to hear that they got to you Lynn, but like someone else here said, THANK-YOU! for letting us have this place to REALLY say what we really think about these shows. And for your great insights on what’s REALLY going on with them.

    • MAMAZ says:

I saw a lot of mean comments on another site too. Probably the same one. There is someone who posts there about Lynn. I’m sure it’s the same peron who has tried to ingratiate himself/herself here before. They misrepresent what goes on here then everyone jumps in like sheep. I have been so tempted to post and defend Lynn and our community but I know it wouldn’t really help. All they have to do is come over and take a look for themselves to see none of it is true. Since the don’t I can only assume that they enjoy thinking the worst. The funny part is how that they are doing exactly the things they claim to hate about Lynn and us.
Oh well who cares what they think.

  37. sweet pea says:

Lynn ~ I agree with all of the above posts. I enjoy your blog and the sense of community of all the posters. I don’t often comment because by the time I get to the end of the posts, everyone has already said what I was thinking! Keep up the excellant work!

  38. DesertGal says:

“All the ladies have had enough of being used by Bravo and plan to start fighting back,” a friend of one ‘Housewife’ tells me. “They are pissed that they only get paid $3,000 to tape each episode and are furious that they get paid nothing to tape the reunion episode. It’s two full days of their lives with no lunch breaks and no pay. Everyone on the set is getting a paycheck except the stars. How can that be right?”

I’m guessing the housewife “friend” Schuter talked to was TweetMaxine, because this about her level of idiocy.

The housewives all sign a contract with Bravo, and I have absolutely no doubt that each of them have that contract vetted by an attorney, who explains the fine print to them. They know exactly what they are getting into, so it isn’t as if Bravo takes advantage of them.

As for “being used” by Bravo/ShedMedia…well, duh. Bravo/ShedMedia wouldn’t shell out millions of dollars to put the Housewives franchise on the air if it wasn’t ultimately to their advantage, so, naturally, the wives themselves serve a purpose. Bravo sure as heck isn’t doing it to benefit the wives, for pete’s sake.

They DO get paid for the reunion, they DO get lunch breaks, and they always have. There are federal laws ensuring that, for one thing, and I seriously doubt that anyone with any sense is going to believe that Bravo/Shed Media uses sweatshop/slave labor techniques when it comes to the housewives. Or that they don’t hire a caterer to provide goodies during the reunion filming. It’s just asinine to say otherwise.

And that $3,000 per episode is just the tip of the iceberg. Look at all the freebies Jill alone scores (or tries to). Clothes, jewelry, etc., not to mention branding opportunities.

Jeez Louise, that Schuter actually believes the housewives are ill done by just shows how dumb the guy is.

I am heartbroken! Nicole was eliminated for the final of Work of Art!!!!!!

    • Scorpiosue1102 says:

I really liked Nicole as well. I do think her last piece wasn’t one of her best. I have to say that this week Abdi’s truly was my favorite. Miles I like in a a weird, OCD loving kind of way.

    • Quincy IL says:

Abdi’s piece was incredible and done in a couple of days. I read that he was a big winner in a big contest. He’s going to be very famous and we got to see him in his youth.

Nicole’s piece, while representing the Algonquin concept of mother nature, didn’t impress the judges. Peregrine’s piece was no better than Nicole’s. The idea of teenage sexuality came from Miles. I think Peregrine starts great and finishes poorly. What can we think about Jacqueline’s piece? I think she has seen something like that before. Her idea was herself in the bathtub which was done outside the work time frame and not allowed. She always makes her art about Jacqueline. When it came to using another subject, like Nature, the piece was cold.

Miles’ work of art was convoluted, like Miles. He always wants the minimal, but he gets to it in a complicated way. I think all of Miles’ art is about Miles too.

In fact, Abdi has himself in the art as does Nicole and Peregrine. Maybe, my art will get better if I put myself into it. Is that the latest trend in art or has it always been that way. I read that the Mona Lisa was carried around by the artist for decades. Leonardo da Vinci either loved Mona or loved his concept of Mona, but he didn’t want to part from it.

I am very interested in what some of our photographers and computer artists think of the works on this show over the time of the series. I love the process of making art and the problem solving. There are books on how Cezanne created his compositions and the science of da Vinci.

      • kats2 says:

Miles is my overall favorite, I just want to hug him and listen to him explain his art. I also really like Abdi a lot. I think they are both really talented. I actually enjoyed the final 5 and liked how they balanced and handled being friends with being in a competition.

I re-watched the previews to see if I can tell who might win. Miles looks like he is doing a series of Black and White images, Peregrine is doing the horse and kid stuff (looks like a Barbie display) and from what I could see Abdi has some more images of himself (like this week) but with some very cool colors. I think it’s Abdi’s display that has the guest judge/artist emotionally moved.

BGM and Work of Art are now my favorite Bravo shows, they make me happy.

Top Chef is a big disappointment for me this season, the food doesn’t even look good, and it’s not creative or interesting.

fundies like duggars don’t scare me. i may or may not agree with how they live their lives but then i’m not reqired to live like they do. they don’t expect handouts and support themselves; they aren’t commiting any breach of law; they do a lot of charity work; they recycle, reuse and repupose; they have a ‘green’ house; while they tell us they use the show to air their lifestyle, they NEVER preach that others ought to be like them.

they certainly aren’t raising a bunch of Trashleys!

      i’m okay with that.

Except that many families like them vote in politicians (the Duggers will have what 20 votes eventually) that reflect their “moral values” & don’t understand the need for separation of church & state. The prospect of becoming an ultra religious & conservative country scares me.

  42. Squirrels says:

I believe the frustration of those who are hell bent on messing with a good thing is based on their inability to relate to the real world. In the real world, we grown ups agree, we disagree, we state our cases and allow others to speak their opinions. Sometimes we are adamant on a subject, sometimes we are swayed by other’s arguments. Either way, the respect this site affords us all is what makes it special. In a phrase, it just plain works.

It appears there are some who cannot handle the fact we all get along, a sorority of sorts. Sistas! (not to ignore our male counterparts who grace us with their wit and wisdom). To allow nay sayers to get under our skin is counterproductive. I can’t imagine them taking us on in a local bar, just the verbal banter/barrage would make their head’s spin. I suspect we’d go all “The View” on them to the point they’d turn tail and run away, crying like…. well, little girls.

So, for those who want to try to screw with a good thing, keep trying. Not only do we get to laugh like hell at you, we get to hit the ignore button. Poof. I think Glinda said it best.

Ah, but..two hours of pushin’ broom
Buys an eight by twelve four-bit room
I’m a man of means by no means

I smoke old stogies I have found
Short, but not too big around
I’m a man of means by no means
    King of the road.

I know every engineer on every train

    I sing,

    Rooms to let, fifty cents
No phone, no pool, no pets
    I ain’t got no cigarettes
Ah, but, two hours of pushin’ broom
Buys an eight by twelve four-bit room
I’m a man of means by no means
    King of the road.

  44. Squirrels says:

    Ok, for Big Brother fans…

  45. Dear Lynn,
I love your blog. thank you for taking the time out of your day to create such a fun and informative forum..
It’s the best addiction I’ve had in years…it’s safe, too!
Well, but, I am starting to loose sleep,
and I’m not getting much done in the morning,
cause I am so tired..snapping at family members, can’t remember the last time I made a meal, walked the dog, or did some laundry.
BUT,,i did shower today. so there you go.
    perfectly safe
    right?

  46. Having surgery tomorrow, Thursday, and would appreciate some prayers. It’s just something middle aged women have after having had babies, so it’s not too dangerous but am nervous anyway. Thank you!! 🙂

New blog about RHNJ, just click my name. 🙂

  47. Olivia says:

I think of this place like a Book Club. We all know deep down inside that what we are viewing is a steaming pile of manure and devoid of “reality” in the true sense but it is fun nonetheless to “tear a new one” into the fakes who pretend to be “stars” but who would not even qualify for the “Z” list if there was even such a thing.

I belong to two Book Clubs and we discuss at length the storyline, characters, dialogue, and the ending with as much fervor and humor as can be found here. Bravo is handing us a “storyline” and we sit back and rip it apart from all corners of the USA. Nothing wrong with that.

Like any politician who put themselves forward in hopes of getting a vote, these fake nobodies who lay claim to Twitter, blogs, and Facebook to push themselves in the public spotlight must take the good with the bad. I am not a “fan” of Ramona but I am still as “nice” a person as Teresa. The fans of Ramona may not concur with me but this my opinion based on what I get out of watching these dolts “perform”. I don’t expect death squads at my door because of it.

Going out on a limb, I think it is safe to say that for most of us we know we are being served a “dish of shlock” with these series. All you have to do is question the availability of the camera to judge the accuracy of what is being presented. However, that does not eliminate the fun of sitting back and taking a personal moment to “gloat” at these women fantasists who have come to believe they are worthy of the attention.

So in a sense, we are all members of the same “Book Club” that takes place on this site. Enjoying the recaps, the laughs and the cartoons of these low class women who have opened their lives and foibles for consideration.

Can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen!

    • dumberries says:

True. And, based on my experience at Lynn’s site for the last couple of months, I don’t get the impression that members of this club are all that concerned about any of the housewives on a personal level. Instead, it seems we are all people who are interested in what they represent and how that relates to our real lives. Here, we are able to embrace those who are admirable and snark on those who are not. Every one of us has probably encountered (or maybe even been) a Jill Zarin at one point in our lives. We’ve all likely had the discomfort/pleasure of knowing a completely inappropriate and uncensored Ramona-type that we couldn’t help but like for the sheer honesty. Most of us have probably met or known of someone who has been fooled by the likes of the Guidices. Luckily, I suspect few of us have encountered a Kelly or Danielle in our lives, so it’s something new to ponder. It’s not about these women per se, it’s about how we relate to what these women represent.

And, btw, I love that this site has regular posters that are bright students, lawyers, dedicated mothers, witty and intuitive males, artists, hard workers recently layed off… I don’t think any of us need to defend ourself against those that come here to stir shit. It doesn’t matter what I do in my day-to-day life. This is one of my hobbies because of the bright community I’ve found here – I don’t owe anyone an explanation. And just to be clear, the most fun I have here on Lynn’s site is when I have the rare opportunity to make it my singular focus. Laying around, looking like KKB after a marathon, laptop burning a hole on my thights, empty Ben & Jerry’s carton and wine bottle on my coffee table, kicking myself wondering how 5 hours somehow ran away from me… So, thank you to Lynn and the friendly posters on this site for allowing me to indulge in a hobby that has no greater purpose than my own enjoyment, a chance to reflect on human nature, and an opportunity to escape for a while (everyone deserves that!), and boo hoo to the trolls. If we cared what trolls thought, we wouldn’t be here in the first place. If trolls cared what we thought, they wouldn’t come here to preach. So, I guess they care a lot more about what we think than we care about what they think. Live and let live.. Sorry for the long post – kind of verbose today!
Happy Belated birthday Kats, and positive thoughts aimed at emt’s mom and mom2shelby (and vikki too).

Mom2, good vibes are flying your way for tomorrow. With this gang on it, there will be prayers a plenty. Love the Roger Miller song, always a favorite to sing in the car on trips. great blog and posts from everyone. I am so PO’d that Nicole was cut and stupid narcissistic Jacq was chosen. BOOOO,BOOOO(sounds like old crone in Princess Bride) I am not surprised at the juiced up joe driving record. i’d drink too, if ………u know what i mean! i am sure i read somewhere that the car that was repossessed had no insurance on it. i used to manage a Mobile Home community in a lower to lower middle income area and we have to quit comparing the guidices to trailer trash. all my tenants were much nicer people with tons more class.
last of all (for tonight) Lynn, we are behind you 110%. I can’t believe you have only been doing this for a year. Lynn, please take a bow, 10 curtain calls at least!

    • Scorpiosue1102 says:

Actually Jaclyn was cut too. The three going are Abdi, Miles and Peregrine.

    • Squirrels says:

I must have watched a different episode. The one I saw Jacq got cut. Pergrine (sp) is in the finale.

    • Blue Sky says:

Love that comment about don’t insult “trailor trash” ’cause they’re better than the Giudices!!! So true! And so sad that tonight is the last episode for BGM?
Going to miss our girl Bethenny on Thursday nights.

    • jillz68 says:

Thank you for mentioning the trailer park comments. I live in one and am not trash, I pay my bills, never had a DUI, don’t have feral children, etc. I know it is common snark to call some people trailer trash but it can make some that live in one feel less than. I know people are joking and *I* have a thick skin but maybe others don’t know and are thin skinned. Besides, the Guidices could never afford the rent at my place (it is a mobile home but in Santa Barbara so you can imagine the rent)!

      Back to the regular program….

I want Teresa and Joe to climb back into the primordial ooze they slithered out from. Shitty driving, essentially stealing from hard workers, lying about everything, and a major case of bad taste. They should require constant adult supervision since they cannot be trusted. I wonder what the Manzo’s etc really think about their buddy’s. I just realized who Teresa and her kids remind me of; Cha-ka from Land of the Lost (her family could be the long lost Pakuni tribe)!

  49. Squirrels says:

OT, but did anyone notice that all scenes in the McMansion have sound resonation issues as if you are in an empty building? Oh, the foreshadowing…..

    • vilzvet says:

I did notice that much of the square footage is the huge cavernous hallway area around the staircase. You could see it when the girls and Teresa were walking through it. Way too big to fill properly.

    • Sha2000 says:

Partially it is from the place not having enough soft surfaces to absorb the sound. I have open upper hall ways like Teresa’s house that is less than half the size & you hear EVERYTHING. The problem is the floor plan. The more open ones that they build now are noisy!

  50. Scorpiosue1102 says:

Boy, the Salahi’s are starting already. “Michaele Salahi accuses Whoopi Goldberg of Abuse”. You can see the article here at the Daily Beast: http://www.thedailybeast.com/blogs-and-stories/2010-08-04/michaele-salahi-accuses-whoopi-goldberg-of-outrageous-abuse/?cid=hp:mainpromo8
I feel like I may have to put Michaele Salahi on my “I Hate” list. The list is getting longer and longer.

    • lillybee says:

Actually, I wish Whoopi hit that bitch upside the head. The Salahi’s are not good people and their financial dealings may make Juicy and Trick look good.
I am irritated that Bravo has them on the air.

      • Squirrels says:

From the tenor of that article, it is apparent Bravo is trying to protect themselves for choosing to give these two face time. Andy, oh Andy, when will you learn the viewing public will only take so much for so long?

      • twoile says:

        Ditto!!!!!!!!!!

      • Sha2000 says:

“I am irritated that Bravo has them on the air.”

Me too. I did ready Andy’s blog that said they got many emails saying the same thing but it was filmed prior. I think Bravo should have edited them out; their behavior was disgusting & should not be rewarded in any way shape or form. I enjoy watching the HW franchise & I LOVE politics so I think i will like the show but those two bimbos need to go.

    • _therealmelissa says:

They are already pimping their book. They came to Andy’s weekly comedy show prepared!

      • sweet pea says:

Darn…now I have to get up at 7am to see the Salahi person rant about Whoopi and how Meredith Viera reacts to the always pregnant Duggars. Yawn…

        • lillybee says:

if you want a duggar snark site, check out freejinger.
I hope that she isn’t preggers although fox news said she was.

    • Scorpiosue1102 says:

Whoopi Goldberg would actually know about State dinners because she went to Obama’s State dinner for Mexico’s president AND she got a real invitation. She didn’t have to crash the State dinner. 😉

    • Hooooo Boy, do we have another bunch of crazies or what? Guess I’ll have to watch DC too….
Like there was ever a doubt!

  51. Nitpicking here….
On Top Chef Alex said that he bought Veal Shank because they didnt have Veal Cheeks…..but he told the judges @ the event it was Veal Cheeks. Am I remembering it wrong?

    • Squirrels says:

No, you recall it correctly. Veal Cheeks is actually what is printed when he delivers his dish to the judges –

“Braised Veal Cheek, Jamon torta with olive & tomato salad.”

He actually says, “veal cheeks” as he introduces the dish to the judges.

      In essence, he lied.

      • Squirrels says:

…. and let’s call a spade a spade. If he lied about this dish, could he have f’d with Ed’s pea puree?

        Oh, I’m leaning that way.

If Top Chef doesn’t get a handle on this, the entire integrity of the contest is akin to screwing the pooch.

Andy, oh Andy, when will you learn the viewing public will only take so much for so long?

        • dumberries says:

Hey Squirrels, hope the latest prop 8 thing holds up – the whole issue of gay marriage just keeps flip flopping – even in California. I say love is love and get it any way can (okay, I stole that from Janis Joplin). Not being political here, but you’re in SD and I’m in SF, and I just think if it doesn’t stick in our neck of the woods, it won’t stick anywhere in this country. I’m thinking positive on this one. As many a comedian has said in the last five years, homosexual couples should have the same rights to bliss and agony as heterosexual ones. Lol.

          • Squirrels says:

I think ultimately the supremes will have to field this one. It will hit the fed appeals court and at that point, regardless of outcome, they will accept the case-they won’t have a choice. Meanwhile, my best GF in the world is lesbian and delighted. I’m happy for her as well.

            • Rabble Rouser says:

I don’t want to get too political on this blog, but the whole back and forth with the issue is annoying to me.

If the state of California doesn’t want to let the people decide, then don’t put the issue on the ballot. (IMO- it never belonged there in the first place)

If the Supreme Court decides that bans on gay marriage are unconstitutional, so be it but that won’t change the opinion of those who oppose it. The ‘majority’ has already spoken twice on the issue.

For the record, I personally do not oppose gay marriage but I don’t expect everyone to feel the same nor am I critical of those who do.

              • MickeyMouth says:

It will work itself out. Change takes time.

My folks are against gay marriage, but there was my father walking my sister down the isle at her wedding to her gf of 10 years. I was the best gal 🙂 I wanted nothing to do with the word matron. My father was honored when she took our family name.

        • Squirrels says:

Chit. Just realized my comment may be taken the wrong way. Call a trowel a trowel.

      • Ok, that’s what I thought….and I was thinking along the same lines re: if he lied about that where IS the friggin’ pea purée!?

        • Squirrels says:

The integrity of Top Chef is now in question. Dude lies about what is in his dish? Huh? What?

At what point do producers step in and cry ‘FOUL?’

          • moriasheehan says:

if he didn’t steal the PP then he would have raised a stink about how it (the show) makes him look guilty and bravo would make sure it was cleared up. now he has lied again and i am with you, highly suspicious behavior. i went looking for Today show news on salahi vs whoopie and nothing except that the facebook entry on where she states she will be on the today show has been deleted and her entire account was unavailable when i tried to go there. anyone with more info? wonder if whoopie will say anything on the view today, i am going to watch (gag)

  53. Lynn, you are the best! Keep rattling those RHs cages. I can’t believe you’ve been blogging less than a year- wow what a success you’ve been. Your blog has more comments and readers than most of us other bloggers put together. Hope you keep blogging for a long time. Tell Andy to put you on staff so you can hire a nanny and quit your job – we need you tweeting and blogging full time.

    • LynnNChicago says:

hehe Thanks hon! Some people seem to think I do blog and tweet full time, I guess no one misses me when I’m not here 🙂

YOU all are what makes this blog great!!! All of you!!!

Lynn. Her last post is June 27.

We can do it!! (Our little Health Club community)

It’s the only way I know how to hail her. I’ve been concerned, too.

  55. Denise says:

Don’t mean to sound like a bitch, but when people post something like this:

I want 2 know secrets on 10k from “family” per month, faux furniture & how 2 get $home on 80k yr

I have trouble understanding it. Why not type “to'” instead of “2” and “your” instead of “ur”? I have no idea what that post means.

I admit that I don’t tweet, have never been to Twitter, and don’t understand how it works. I’m not technically challenged, it’s just that Twitter (and Face Book to a lesser degree) hold little interest for me. I signed up for Face Book last year only because a friend convinced me that it was the Greatest.Thing.Ever but I think the last time I signed in was sometime this spring.

Lynn, I don’t mind reading your copied and pasted twitter posts but when I can’t understand them, well then I don’t see the point. And Kelly doesn’t count; she’s always borderline illiterate. 🙂

    • LynnNChicago says:

I completely understand what you’re saying! The 140 character limit has caused some to go overboard when tweeting and shortening everything, even if it doesn’t have to be…it makes me crazy! I get shortening words to fit your thoughts into the character limit but its not always necessary.

Sometimes I want to tell these folks to buy a damn vowel!

I don’t get the apples to oranges comparison to The Hills, because I don’t get The Hills. Aren’t half the cast actors playing characters? I’ve never seen it, but isn’t like Heidi and Spencer themselves, but Lauren Conrad is playing a character?

If anything, TalkSoup should pay half their salary, as The Hills have provided so much fodder for them. I’m sure Whitney is still collecting her royalties for “Kiss my ass!” lol

  59. Buffywood says:

DC housewives will be on The Today Show shortly.

  60. Olivia says:

The DC show has yet to begin and already I find myself hating on these people. Another group of insufferable women vying with one another for “facetime” and “stardom” in a show that offers absolutely nothing of value.

But nonetheless it should be fun to sit back and assess this current crop of wannabe’s if for no other reason than the unintentional humor they will provide.

We seem to be off to a good start with one “Housewife” being doused with wine by another’s husband who in turn threw a drink back at him. Nothing says “class” than a “little battle of the booze”. Hope Kim G is watching and taking notes.

The commercials alone are enough to get on my last nerve! lol Between commercials, gossipzine’s, this site, etc… I have more than enough fodder for ridicule without having to resort to actually watching the show. lol

  61. Buffywood says:

Interesting, as of now only one housewife appears willing to show on air on the today show. Only Michaele Salahi is sitting on the sofa all alone.

  62. Buffywood says:

Well, the rest of the houseswives have joined her on the sofa but they haven’t started the piece yet. They said they will “clear up” what happened yesterday on the view. The whole thing is probably for publicity for the show tonight. Nothing like selling your soul to the devil for a little $.

    • Olivia says:

Obviously from reading upthread, the cost of “selling” one’s soul is not nearly enough in the world of “Housewives”. According to them, they are not getting enough!

I wish someone would offer me a trip to Italy and the Virgin Islands along with the chance to wear designer duds and be covered in jewelry as I dine out in expensive restaurants while being driven to and from in style. And all I am required to do is behave like a “horse’s ass” in front of the camera while someone else ghostwrites my current book, or creates my atrocious jewelry, while I collect a decent sum of money each week by agreeing to put my integrity aside for the opportunity.

It must be difficult to pay out the bucks to the p.r. firms, publicists, lawyers, make up artists, stylists, hair dressers, and “assistants” who are there to keep your name in the public eye. “Stardom” does come with a price.

All I can offer is a big “Boo Effen Hoo” to these untalented nobodies who more than likely were bagging their own groceries a year ago.

      • Buffywood says:

AMEN SISTER!! Cry me a friggin’ river.

      • Quincy IL says:

        You forgot free surgeries.

      • Quincy IL says:

I wonder what Jill Zarin, the leader of the war to get NYC housewives more money last summer talked to the NJ girls when they were at her Hampton’s rental. Could it be how much money is making on the Housewives when they throw themselves under buses for ratings? I wonder of the free reuinions are free or paid in NYC.

Bravo was so smart to have these women interact because, as you know, women never discuss money.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

Truly – they need to pay us (viewers) considering they are morons, criminals and don’t entertain us! They want to stay on the air – mail me a check and I will turn on my television!

  63. boston02127 says:

  64. Buffywood says:

Well, its another 4 against 1 show. They all do not like her (Salahi) . Cat says she is “over her” and has been for the past 9 months. They ALL confirmed they do not like her, don’t want to be assoicated with her. Her old friend of 15 years now says she is a liar and blah blah blah… you really missed nothing.

    • viki55 says:

        • Olivia says:

Me too. I was going to avoid it as just another version of the same theme but the publicity so far has me tempted.

And now the claim that Whoopi Goldberg hit her! Girl, please! You deserve a beat down sneaking into the White House like that! She better be glad she left with her life in these heightened terrorist times. You don’t just roll up on the White House you freaking idiot!

  66. Buffywood says:

What’s funny is that on the show one of the women’s complaints is that there are five of them on the show, not just Salahi. Her reply of course was that they were jealous…

I just noticed the title of the Piece on The Today Show Website
“Michaele Salahi, along with co-stars Stacie Scott Turner, Catherine Ommanney, Lynda Erkiletian and Mary Schmidt Amons, will star in Bravo’s latest “Housewives” spin-off.”

The media is already hard at work adding fuel to the fires…

    • jezzibel says:

I thought the verbal b**ch slapping was supposed to start at the reunion, not before the show premiere

  67. Blue Sky says:

Whoopi talked about the Salahis at the beginning of the View today. They showed more tape, from another angle, of Whoopi just tapping the Salahi dunce on the arm, then asking her to “get back to talking about the White House situation” (the party they crashed). After the show, Whoopi said some “curse words” at the wife, saying she did not hit her, when Whoopi heard that the Salahis were accusing her of that after the show. Then of course the husband got into it, pulling out his Blackberry to take pictures…Whoopi said she really let loose verbally on him. Okay, that’s it for me. I am not watching DC housewives, I’ll let you all keep me posted about this trash. I did agree with Joy & Sherry that the Salahis should be in jail for what they did, not getting publicity on a tv show. Oh yes, the book is coming out soon, that’s why the salahi bitch wouldn’t answer questions about the party crashing on the View. Good job Bravo, it’s getting trashier by the minute on your shows! Not going to watch it anymore.

  68. Pantry Viewer says:

You know, I had to stop watching the View clip. Sherry, Joy and Whoopi all make me sick. So sorry to have to say these words a la Kelly, but those women just love a good bullying session. Watching them flap their own attention-whore mouths to “put someone in their place” makes me ill when they are vapid, insufferable attention seekers themselves. Whoopi coming out to bully the party-crasher chick, then cuss her out afterwards did not make me cheer for Whoopi or think she was so cool. It made me think she has an ego the size of the planet earth and I just switched it off.

    • kats2 says:

I previously posted some place above that the Co-Hosts on The View and Bravo HW’s actually have a lot in common and could switch jobs and we wouldn’t be able to tell. And at the core of it is that attention whore rearing it’s ugly head again. Win/Win The View got attention and so did DC HW.

      • Pantry Viewer says:

I agree, kats. How The View “co-hosts” get such a high opinion of themselves, I will never know. Ugh.

    • Scorpiosue1102 says:

Whoopi didn’t bully Michaele Salahi. She asked her to answer the question about crashing the White House dinner. Then there were allegations floating backstage by the Salahi’s that Whoopi hit her. I have no problem with Whoopi confronting Salahi about those allegations. Could she have handled it better? Yes, but when you are accused of hitting another person well, that’s a big line that’s been crossed.

Why couldn’t Salahi answer the questions about the invitation to The View ladies or to Congress??? If you have nothing to hide you answer the question and not hide behind the right to not answer so that you won’t incriminate yourself. The White House social secretary lost her job. More info is here:

I can’t tolerate anyone on the View and refused to watch the program- even their guest hosts are often the lowest common denominator with the likes of Kate Gosselin and Teresa Guidice.

      • Pantry Viewer says:

I can’t either, Rabble, so I find it irritating to even watch a clip of it. I can’t imagine tuning in to that show every day or even for a full hour – ugh!

    • Bosandi says:

I watched the View clip. I don’t watch the show for the same reason many of you mentioned – it’s a talk fest b/t the hosts and the guest can’t get a word in. I think what irks me the most is Sherri. I can tolerate her dumb as a box of rocks line of thinking but I can’t tolerate her size 6 declaration last year (or whenever). I’m glad she made a move toward a healthier lifestyle but that lady is no size 6, no more than JZ is a size one. TV does add weight but give me a break! Phew, I feel better now.

Go Whoopie! If they were “invited” show the invitation then. I doubt if they had one they would have thrown it away. Losers.

      • Sha2000 says:

And BTW. that Whoopie clip really showed how blantent they lie.

      • Sha2000 says:

And BTW, that Whoopie clip really showed how blatantly they lie.

      • Rabble Rouser says:

From the interviews she gave, it seems like she and her husband tried to talk their way in through phone calls and emails, using the show as an ace in their back pocket.

I think the truth probably lies somewhere in the middle, they have to know they weren’t formally invited but were given the inside track on how to make it appear as they were. It kind of makes me think it would be the equivalent of a groupie performing a sexual act on a roadie to get a back stage pass and believing that should give them legitimate access.

For some reason, I also tend to beleive that she didn’t claim that Whoopie “hit” her, since she didn’t make that claim when she was on the couch- and didn’t suggest it in her demeanor. It seems more likely that something did get lost in translation.

That being said, I don’t like the Salahi’s especially the husband- and I won’t be watching the show- although I do look forward to the recaps I am in store for here.

    • Squirrels says:

Thanks VIgirl. Now I don’t have to subject myself to watching the whole show. Whew!

    • WindyCityWondering says:

THEY still will not answer the question! If I was invited to the White House I would have that invitation framed and it would be passed to my kids, etc. So as far as I am concern – Whoopie can say what she wants and call it like she sees it – no apologies necessary!

      • _therealmelissa says:

What bothered me about The View interview was that when it was apparent that Salahi was NOT going to answer a question about anything and defer everything to “just read the book,” they should have just have stopped questioning Salahi and passed to the other women. Instead, they completely ignored the rest of the cast as if they did not exist and continued to bombard Salahi. Instead of looking like “journalists,” they looked like hacks that did nothing but validate this idiot’s misplaced sense of self-importance.

Why does ABC try to pass off a couple of comedians and nobodies as “journalists” anyhow???

  70. klmh says:

I wouldn’t trade places with these women for any amount of fame or money, but I’m old . 🙂
I simply value my honor, values, loves and friendships, and integrity too much.
That’s the main fascination for me with these shows. These “ladies” are selling their children, friends and spouses down the river to make a name for themselves. To me thats as bad as life gets, because that’s what life is about, friends and family.

    • klmh says:

Sorry, this was in response upthread to Olivia’s comment…

    • Quincy IL says:

I’m old too. I have shaken hands with Dukakis, Dean, Clinton, Obama and met Mrs. Bush I. I go to political rallies and the airport is next to my house. These men come here and park Air Force One when they visit the Midwestern states. I have four photos of Helicopter one flying over my house just this summer.

I know discussing politics is something that can cause rifts so I am not sure how DC wives having this topic rather than fashion is going to work.

    • Rabble Rouser says:

I honestly don’t know what would compel anyone to be on a reality show. For almost everyone, it turns out badly, reputations ruined, lies and skeletons in the closet exposed, marriage and parenting scrutinized- it can’t be worth it.

  73. Squirrels says:

OK, On one site, the recap of the Whoopi incident is written about. Shocking, right? What got me was one particular comment:

“What’s with the name calling? They were not ‘gate crashers.’ They were simply undocumented guests. In what way did they deserve this kind of bad publicity? They probably just wanted to feed their family and the white house is being all racist throwing them out and everything. They should immediately receive invitation papers for future white house events so this awful mistreatment doesn’t happen again.”

Racism? How did racism creep into this?

    • Quincy IL says:

Rotfl.. undocumented guests who climb over the side walk curb in 5 inch heels in a red sari to attended a dinner. I love that.

    • Rabble Rouser says:

I think it’s suppose to be factious and paralleling it to Obama’s rather liberal immigration policy and the political correctness that surrounds that issue.

    • viki55 says:

It’s the newest tactic. Anytime you don’t agree with someone or something just label is racist. Been happening for a few years now.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

Maybe they have an “all access pass” to everything in Washington? They seem to act like they are very entitled people… the HW who said they run charities and the money goes into their pockets wasn’t challenged for her remark.

In yet another Bravo blog goof. Max’s blog is up about tonight’s show already.

    • viki55 says:

Too early….Too funny! It does sound like he no longer works for her.

      • MickeyMouth says:

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking.

        • HD says:

I said it since day one. Max was simply hired for eye candy for TV. A blind man could see that he was not qualified for that job.

          • Squirrels says:

It may be if you add up all the time Max had on camera it would total 15 minutes.

          • Rabble Rouser says:

I actually never believed that Max was really ‘hired’ either but rather was ‘placed’ on the show to appeal to the 17-27 crowd who might not be interested enough in marriage, pregnancy and babies enough to watch the show on that alone.

They must have taken the blog down because the link is showing an error on the Bravo page.

            • kats2 says:

Good point. He added something, but I would have loved it, if she went with that nerdy foodie guy. I didn’t think Max was all that and way too short (if I’m really going to be all judgy about it).

You Max would actually be a great match for little Ms Alley Zarin.

              • lillybee says:

Even the petite Beth towered over him. Max and Ally is a cute idea because it would frost Mrs. Zarin.

              • Rabble Rouser says:

I would have preferred the foodie guy as well, I found him much more interesting than Max.

              • Rabble Rouser says:

As per Max and Alley, I think Max would probably be looking for someone in a higher league looks wise than AZ.

I don’t think Alley is ugly, I think she a a cute girl and she seems nice but I strongly suspect Max likes the model type.

I think poor Alley will have her work cut out for her in trying to find a husband, can you imagine have JZ as a MIL?

    • kats2 says:

Based on this comment in Max’s blog the haters who are determined to prove that Jason is gay will have a feast on this nugget.

“Guys can rub lotion on other guys’ backs and be totally straight! Jason was just being a bro. I certainly could have asked Bethenny but I’d rather not freak her out.”

      • Quincy IL says:

        That will stir the kettle.

      • HD says:

I don’t think my husband would rub lotion on another man’s back but I don’t think Jason is gay at all. He just seems like a nice guy.

        • Rabble Rouser says:

My husband thinks Jason is gay-and he is in noway a homophone. He has gay work friends who he likes and respects very much.

He claims that Jason just set of his ‘gay-dar’.

I think it’s just that my hubby isn’t used to metro-sexuals.

        • Quincy IL says:

It’s an odd thing for Jason to do.

          • ShyAsrai says:

i actually get the feeling Jason just thinks of Max as a little boy – like your neighbor’s 8-yr-old who tagged along on the picinic.

“I can’t believe a legitimate company would want to associate themselves with such trash as Teresa Giudice. This situation is not a tragedy. This situation was caused by greedy, pretentious, lying, stealing thieves who should be living in their own Section 8 apartment building and not some big house they couldn’t afford in the first place.

You’ve really created a PR nightmare for yourselves and the marketing person who thought of this should be fired. Thank god some news outlets are calling this for what it is, a disgrace. If your intent was to be tongue and cheek about this, it didn’t work.”

  76. Ok, I quickly scanned the posts after my sister told me what happened with Whoopi and that whatsherface on DC housewives. IMHO, Whoopi didn’t bully her. Those Salahis are media whores and are seeking attention any way they can get it.

That seals it for me too. I’m done with the housewife shows, NY too if they bring Jill and Kelly back. If those 2 are gone, I’ll continue to watch. But I’m sure going to have my say with bravo and their sponsors.

    • Squirrels says:

Apparently, so is Wendy Williams. She’s got a one woman boycott happening. She kept calling Michaele Salahi Michelle and at one point asked her producer (or assistant) how to pronounce her name. He told her, to which she paused and replied, “who cares?

  77. Bravo really went into the gutter to populate some of their housewife shows, especially NJ. I don’t believe for a minute that bravo didn’t know about Danielle’s past troubles and to reward such obviously bad behavior as displayed by Ashley and Teresa and Joe is ridiculous. As far as that Kim G. is concerned, I feel so sorry for her son that he has an ass for a mom. How embarrassing her juvenile, trashy display must have been to him and it doesn’t matter who that behavior was aimed at. She’s just another fame whore.

Excellent blog Lynn, and I agree wholeheartedly. 🙂

  78. kats2 says:

Andy just blogged this on his Bravo Blog – some good info

    http://www.bravotv.com/watch-what-happens-live/blogs/andys-blog/muggy-thursday

It’s a good night to stay indoors and watch the telly!!

Lots to celebrate today, mainly Prop 8 being overturned. This is the first step in equal rights for my people. (I don’t mean the Jews.). Also, tonight is the long-awaited (certainly by us here at Bravo) premiere of The Real Housewives of D.C., the show The New York Times today calls “more delicious than all the rest” of the Housewives franchises. I don’t need a review to reaffirm what we’ve been feeling inside Bravo for months, but that is nice vindication for us given the scrutiny the show’s been under way before anyone laid eyes on it. I just want people to SEE it and then have an opinion..

After D.C., it’s the finale of Bethenny Getting Married?, and it is a wonderful episode. (Have no fear — next week there’s a lost footage episode of BGM?, so you get one more hit on the Bethenny crackpipe before she goes away.)

I don’t know how to describe the reunion taping yesterday other than to mention the fact that it was the first time in over a year that the New Jersey Housewives had been under one roof, and that we didn’t know what to expect, and the unexpected is what happened. It was angry. There were tears, confessions, walk-offs, surprises, and jaw-drops. We started shooting at 10 a.m., and the ladies left the set at 7:30 p.m. We took breaks, but we shot A LOT.

Caroline and Danielle were seated on the same couch. For about nine hours. Picture THAT.

OK, I am about to go on Gayle King’s radio show
to talk to her about the D.C. Housewives.

  79. I am going to go smile now.... says:

I would like to state for the record this is one of those I heard from a friend who heard from a friend kind of thing but here goes:

A friend of mine heard on the radio this morning that someone sent “Dirty D” a tweet asking her to say happy birthday to them because all they wanted for their birthday was Ashley to commit suicide and tape it. Apparently “Dirty D” replied with something along the lines of Happy Birthday Booo… Hope all your B-day wishes come true…

Has anyone else heard or seen any of this. I don’t tweet or twat so I didn’t see any of this….

    • vgirl511 says:

That was posted on reality tea and they said it was reported on ‘the crushable’. I am not a tweeter either so cannot confirm!

      • I am going to go smile now.... says:

Report – Real Housewives Tired Of Being ‘Used’ By Bravo, Danielle Staub Hits New Low

I just found it… This is all just too too too much!!!! Who are these people and why hasnt anyone given them a good smack straight. My mother would have beat my ass it I pulled bull shit like this….

        • HD says:

Here we go again with Jacqueline claiming her daughter is a child…her daughter is 19. She is a grown up. This is what happens when you fight fire with fire and honestly Danielle didn’t say it, the person who tweeted it did. Ashley is not an innocent bystander in any of this. I am sure Ashley is not censoring stuff on her Twitter when they talk about Danielle.

Ashley should have left Danielle alone and Jacqueline should have disciplined Ashley YEARS ago.

Wishing death on someone is not cool but Danielle did not say it, the other person did.

          • felony stupid says:

            HD – completely agree.

If this situation were reversed (someone tweeted Trashley that they wished D killed herself & Trash had replied) the only response we would get from good old Jac would be that she nor her moronic spawn can possibly be held accountable for what strangers say. Nor can Jac be responsbile for what Trashley says as she is an adult. Jac is an immature hypocrite. You know what they say….you can take the girl out of the Vegas desert trailer park…

          • Squirrels says:

All I can do is shake my head. Ashley, this is what happens when you play the grown up. You are expected to behave as such. Posting a photoshopped pic of Danielle being beaten up and hahaha’ing your way through it was akin to tossing the gauntlet.

            • vilzvet says:

Exactly, that photo was horrible. Ashley is old enough to be arrested, and has been playing in the grown-up sandbox for awhile now. The tweet was disgusting and Danielle should NOT have responded to it, just as the Wives should not have retweeted it to the world. The person should have been blocked immediately.

          • WindyCityWondering says:

Semi agree – Ashley is of legal age, so anything stupid, immature or criminal will be dealt with in the same manner as anyone else of legal age. Ashley is clearly not a grown up, not mature and not in control of herself.
Jacq’s parenting may have lacked but that is irrelevant now as far as Ashley’s behavior is concerned. Jacq can call her a kid, a child, whatever – the law of the land calls her something else! The only thing Jacq/Chris should do now is kick that freeloading bitch out of their house and stop enabling her behavior! IMO, she moved back home because she refused to follow the rules of whoever took her broke ass in.

          • ShyAsrai says:

Jac needs to make up her mind: is Trashly and adult and therefore beyond her control or is Trashly a child and therefore haters should give the ‘kid’ a break?

          • lillybee says:

I have a feeling that Ashley will be described as a child until she is 40.

    • Need a Hobby says:

A poster who saw the tweets discussed that on Lynn’s last blog (if it’s not in this one). IIRC she said that later tweets clarified that Danielle was not supporting that tweeter’s violent sentiments.

I want to say it was kats2 who posted about D’s tweets, but I could be wrong.

      • kats2 says:

Yep it was me. But I don’t see the tweet now that D sent that scolded the dude, but I can tell you I didn’t make it up.

    • kats2 says:

This is what I know – I happened to be lurking the NJ HW’s tweets and saw that weirdo tweet that awful comment. I swear I did see a Danielle tweet that basically scolded the guy and asked to not make the situation worst. At the same time I think the loser included Jacqueline in the tweet and she of course thought it was sick and asked if he could be arrested. I went back to look for the tweets and couldn’t find the details but the end result for me was that Danielle did not read the complete tweet the first part was read and responded to and that accounts for her reply. I should also add that Danielle is still following the loser which is wrong.

That’s all I know or think I know – I could be wrong all I can go on is what I read and remember.

      • MAMAZ says:

kats2 – I belive you when you say she tweeted and scolded the guy. But here’s the thing. If he tweeted that vile comment and she responded hoping he got his birthday wish before she scolded him then that is just wrong. It’s the same as Jacq laughing about Ashley putting unbeweavable up on her facebook then scolding her for it later. It’s like “that was bad *wink wink*.”
She should have immediately answered that she would never wish that on anyone and wouldn’t tolerate that type of comment, then delete his tweet. Anything less than that is “oh you bad boy, giggle, giggle.”
I have no doubt that Danielle has done a lot off camera to antagonize Jacq, Dina, Caroline, Teresa and even Ashley. And like the idiots they are they just can’t help from responding. Her behvior doesn’t excuse them from anything they’ve done. And anything they’ve done doesn’t excuse participating in that exchange.

        • MickeyMouth says:

Agreed. However Jaq volleyed with this guy. I don’t know if she still follows him but she did by the time I tweeted this to Jaq:

@JacLaurita Don’t openly invite the crazy, they may answer the call. 9:49 AM Jul 31st

All of these women invite the crazy. It truly is amazing.

  83. What happened on the view remember yesterday I amia009 was tweeting “the real housewives of Dc will be on the view?” At first I said Tareq and Michale cuz on the previews that is what it said. Anyways, after the Dc crew come out introduce their selves etc. Sherri started to ask Michale (after she stated that her and her husband should be in jail for and I say this she didn’t say ALLEGEDLY LOL she said you two should be in jail for crashing the white house party ( you two meaning her and her husband Tareq) and for getting that close to the president ” After a loud standing ovation of an APPLAUSE from the audience & rest of the DC cast Sherri then asked Michale for her side of the story. So as she starts to talk (honestly can remember but I know she was avoiding the question) then she starts to ramble about something else irrelevant then Whoopi comes out (which today they showed and confirmed she DID NOT hit her) and taps Michale and said “get to the white house question please” and walked back stage cause it was just Joy and Sherri interviewing them only my guess not enough room for everyone on the couch? Then Michale goes “oh I got Whoopi over hear geting all up set” (SOMETHING TO THAT AFFECT) Then Sherri said, “Whoopi dont come out like that only when she feels compassionate about something” And which Michale then started to say the world has pre judged they are victims oh poor us, then smart ass Joy mentioned well you also crashed another party (sorry i cant remember the name ) but she got Michale more off track then after being asked again to ANSWER THE QUESTION by Sherri Michale eventually answered the if you wanna know buy the book we have a book coming out that explain everything. Joy and Sherri both said “Im not buying your book ” So backstage Tareq went ballistic on Whoopi saying she hit his wife(is he crazy as he sounds I think so) and she Whoopi got in both of their faces after Tareq grabbed his blackberry and started taking pictures like you betterg somewhere im not afraid of you. Then Whoopi explained to Michale “girl you know I didnt hit you I wanted you to get to the question that you avoid all the time”then Michale & Tareq say oh that wasnt the agreement etc. ” So Whoopi never hit anyone, the camera clearly showed what happened Michale nice try! Then Michale’s attorney wanted it to be known as they said today that they havn’t been charged with any crimes. I think he should of said “yet” My guess is they are waiting to view RHODC. I am not a great writer like Lynn so please no mean feedback.

Hey everyone! I got Squirrels message that people were asking about me… all is fine, my son started back to school this week. Junior year (it was his 2nd to the last first day of school LOL). We have 3 wedding to attend this month, August is always kind of crazy. I have been a bit of an overprotective momma this week. Last Friday night a 16 year old boy flipped his car & was killed. We weren’t close to the family but they travel in the same baseball circles we did & the boy plays against my son during high school ball. He was only 2 weeks older than my Mike so it rattled me how quickly they can be taken from us. Needless to say I am driving Mike crazy.

BTW my cat Ryan has healed up nicely, he lost one of his “toes” but they managed to save his paw for the most part.

I plan to be here tonight for the Bethenny finale & the DC premiere.

Barfo Andy’s blog said Caroline and Danielle sat on the same couch at the reunion taping? Wondering why……restraining orders? fear of catfights?
As for twitter being down – Bravo did it to keep Ashley from spilling the beans on the reunion festivities.

  91. MickeyMouth says:

    Who thinks Ashley busted onstage?

  92. RileyKitty says:

I am watching NJ rerun… Teens are very easily embarrassed in general. Who would think it is a good idea to take the Bravo cameras to your daughters first gyno appt (no stirrups this trip but still) & then bombard her with tons of questions, not only in front of the cameras but in the waiting room within ear shot of the receptionist? Some things are better left to happen off camera. Also Danielle, you make your 16 year old swear they will never have sex but they still will eventually. NUTJOB!

    • MickeyMouth says:

I don’t watch NJ, but just reading that makes me cringe.

      • RileyKitty says:

I don’t blame you, Mickey. I keep saying I am not going to watch it anymore but like a bad trainwreck, I just can’t stop looking.

        • MickeyMouth says:

Something in me just went no more when Danielle was sitting in that diner with the father of a sick child for what I felt was the sole purpose of putting her in the Brownstone for good TV. I immediately changed the channel and haven’t tuned back in since.

        That was my thought, “Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!”

I am trying to find one woman in the DC show that I like. The show is half over and they are all mean except the Kelly like white house crasher.

        • cusi 77 says:

@Quincy_ Here, the same dilemma… Maybe the only “likable” is Stacy… The rest…Ugggg!

          • Quincy IL says:

            Stacy… a little….

This is terrible of me, but I thought that the NY women looked down on people in Brooklyn and we here…in farmland USA were insignificant in their minds. They even make fun of Kelly because she was from Rockford, IL. The NJ girls are all about being Italian and living in NJ.
Now, we have the DC women. They are more pretentious and they look down on others because of differing political views. Can you imagine what they think of fly country women?

I have friends of all races, ethnicities and political parties. I don’t look down on them because they are different from me. It just seems that Bravo is promoting anti group feelings. I am uncomfortable with that.

  97. TLM says:

Oh, this is rich. From OK! Magazine, kikilet has words of wisdom for the DC women:

Although Kelly won’t tune into the D.C. show, saying it’s “not my game,” she is grateful for the opportunity to be part of the broadcasting brand.

“So what if someone calls you a name?” Kelly says. “Haters are part of the ecosystem. Have fun with it. I’m having so much fun with it, and I’m able to be charitable on top of it. And my kids love it. It’s a win-win. I don’t see anything wrong with it.”

She continues, “Now I get to put my money where my mouth is, and actually go out there and be in the trenches and be part of what’s going on and be charitable, which is important. A lot of people are skinny cats and they’re like ‘yah, I’m so cool for school, I can’t go to a party because somebody’s going to recognize me.’ I’m like ‘how about taking the hat off, smiling, putting your name out there, giving the stamp of approval on whatever charity it is, and helping them so we can make people better.”

Whatever happened to “I don’t lend my name to anything”? Oh well, I guess that’s another one of Kelly’s little contradictions. (see article at http://www.okmagazine.com/2010/08/danielle-staub-kelly-bensimon-advise-%E2%80%98d-c-housewives%E2%80%99/)

Watching RHODC now. First impressions: Michaele seems like she survives on a diet of cocaine and Diet Coke; and WTF is with that woman Cat? Looks down her nose at everyone and I’ve never had such a difficult time understanding an English-speaking person, although her boyfriend is cute. Looks like there will be many fat jokes aimed at Americans coming from the Catwoman and her girls. The owner of the modeling agency also seems quite bitchy, and she and her boyfriend are about as much of a mismatch as I can imagine. Mary seems very likeable and I can’t believe she has so many kids; she looks like a kid herself to me. But how scary is it that she has a fingerprint lock on her closet, and says the reason is her daughter??!?? I could go either way with Stacie. She seems ok but also has a bit of a chip on her shoulder, claiming you can’t really say you’re a DC insider if you live in McLean, Va? I think there are more than a few politicians who would disagree with that.

  98. Obsessed with RH says:

Did anyone notice that Michaele’s hair is two different colors? In the talking head interview those extensions are like a straw yellow and the top of her head is white….what a hot mess…I already don’t like her

  99. RileyKitty says:

I am so getting a biometric lock for my closet… no bitch is getting in my closet but me!! LOL (I don’t think my son & hubby are interested in my stuff) I love gadgets!!!

  100. boston02127 says:

DC–Lots of odd voices on these women. The blonde is like a mosquito in your bedroom when you’re trying to sleep. They all seem to be quite impressed by who everyone is, makes them look pathetic. So far–no likey!

  101. TLM says:

Does anyone think Cat has been a chain smoker for 20+ years?? I am just wondering what’s with that voice. Didn’t realize she is married to and not just dating the photographer.

  103. Obsessed with RH says:

I don’t mind Cat so much…its kind of funny to see someone comment on some of the nonsense from a non-American perspective. I may get tired of her high-brow attitude but right now I find it funny. I actually dislike Lynda more. She seems even more obnoxious but it is like she is trying to compensate for something. Stacie clearly has a chip on her shoulder with that McLean comment. My cousin happens to live in McLean and let me tell you, more “Washingtonians” live in McLean than all of DC, not to mention, Stacie’s probably pissed she can’t afford a house in McLean. I guarantee you that “I pull in 25-30 million a year” was referring to the houses she SELLS, not the amount she makes….

  104. boston02127 says:

Timing darling…it’s all about timing and destiny love…. Hmmm…Yeah……I don’t think I’m going to like these women.

  105. TLM says:

Did this woman take elocution lessons from Keith Richards? And why does Bravo put captions on the NJ women every 5 seconds, but not for this chick???

    • Obsessed with RH says:

Very true. I found myself rewinding the scenes with her in it to figure out what the hell she says….ok, I retract my earlier comment. Cat isn’t funny, she’s annoying…

  106. Dani says:

Come on Bethenny, I can’t stand any of the DC women. Is it me or are their voices all strange? I agree Boston what is up with their voice! I don’t think this will be a favorite for me. I am going to miss BGM. Looking forward to the reunion tonight.

    • anniieee says:

I didn’t like any of them… I lived in Fairfax, Va for 12 years – coached Crew for Langley HS..in McLcan and didn’t meet one parent who acted like any of these women. They lived in BIG houses, had BIG jobs and were very gracious and kind. These are bitchy bitchy insecure women.

      • Dani says:

Anniieee they are bitchy. I can relate to some of the other housewives (not their money but their personalities). But these women are just totally out there.

  110. Squirrels says:

  113. OneMoreinBoston says:

I was pleasantly surprised by RHODC. The hour passed a lot more quickly than with the NJ crew, believe me.
I couldn’t stand the Brit-VERYYYY rude. But I didn’t really mind Michaele, she seemed very vapid and flighty but somewhat sweet and harmless.
Isn’t it funny, I liked Stacie the best, I thought she seemed really down to earth and is very pretty.
I’m on the fence about Mary but I liked the model agency owner character. Although the boyfriend is just about the only interesting thing about her right now. Well, maybe the snarkiness too.
It’s just a relief to tune into the HW’s and not to hear the constant dee’s, dem’s, and do’s from the Jersey cows.
    Ain’t I nice when I’m cleansy?

    • Scorpiosue1102 says:

I have to say they didn’t bother me too much. I do like Mary and Stacie. Michaele bugs me already. Jury is out on Lynda and Cat seems a tad to “I’m upper class British so I know best” for me.

  114. Pat Johnson says:

Oh how I hate to see BGM end tonight! I laughed out loud at many of the comments and the way they interact with each other, you can’t help but feel happy for Jason and Bethenny as well! The baby is so cute and the supporting cast is finding its own groove. Love seeing Shawn and hope that Bravo has the sense to offer him a slot of his own since his ingenuity is pretty awesome! A show about an event planner would be great!

Anyway, I also tuned into the “freshest mess” that Bravo is offering and all I can say is that it is truly awful. There was not one woman there who I could even begin to like. They even make the NJ group look good by comparison and that is saying a lot!

I thought for a tiny minute that perhaps Stacie may offer a bit of commonsense but she seems involved in finding racism in any comment. Lynda the Midget is a frightful bore and strains of Jill Zarin are already evident in this piece of work. Cat, the one from England, is horrendous. Mary has 5 kids and a longterm marriage but so far I did not see her without a drink in her hand. Perhaps the Ramona clone? Another “Whoops, did I say that?”

But the worst so far is Micheale (who is more than likely a Michele in real life but prefers to pronounce it differently for effect) is the worst of all. Another Kelly Bensimon without a braincell in her weaved head who appears so far to have few allies within the cast. I wonder why? She is totally witless! And could somebody please offer her a burger. She looks like she is starving to death.

The divide here is going to rest upon racism, sexism, and political leanings. Throw in yet another group of Botoxed, cleavage bearing, double kissing bleached heads and the series is interchangable from city to city.

I found myself bored beyond belief watching this unlikable group take the stage. Petty, backbiting, fashion crazy morons swimming in ignorance. Been there, done that already.

    A waste of time.

    New blog soon, I promise!

    Part of Michaele Salahi’s Blog:
I also wanted to thank everyone for all the emails and phone calls I have received about the announcement of the book Cirque du Salahi: Be Careful Who You Trust! This book will tell for the very first time the INSIDE STORY of who my husband and I are. It will include never before revealed details of what happened before, during, and after our visit to the White House, where we were falsely accused of crashing President Obama’s first state dinner. This book is about more than what happens when the unsuspecting find themselves in the crosshairs of the national media. It reveals the truth about who my husband and I are, where we came from, what shaped our personalities, what obstacles we overcame, challenges we deal with and what motivates us to do what we do. It is quite simply the background of the story heard ’round the world and how we were able to survive the onslaught. What happened to us is much more than any television show can capture, much of which happened after filming had concluded. It is the true story of the Salahis. Available at Amazon.com for pre-orders while supplies last. I hope you will visit my website at http://www.MichaeleandTareqSalahi.com and let me know what you think of the show.

    We may have another Jill.

Well, now we know the answer to Max’s continued employment.

  120. Just enough drama without going too far? DARN! That’s exactly the reason why I’m boycotting the DC bunch–I automatically assumed that Bravo was continuing to jump-the-shark, and my boycott is a protest.
Pretty funny comparing Lynn’s assesment with the comments. I think I’ll try to get through the whole series vicariously by reading Lynn’s blog, and comments and then after its all over catch a marathon, so if I’m really getting both sides, pro & con, I’ll really be surprized to see it for myself.
Speaking-of marathons, I missed a bunch of BGM due-to my Comcast problem, I have to find a marathon of that, and I’m planning on buying a few cans of paint to keep me busy while I catch-up. (I hope they have repeats)

  123. Tlm says:

I now realize why I recognize Mary …she reminds me of Kelly Klein.

They talk about Americans being rude…well, we have nothing on that British bitch! Being a guest in the home of a black person and bashing Obama and Tyra banks? Just stupid and rude. And saying your husband was responsible for Obama getting elected? Delusional. Who the F cares that Bush RSVPd your wedding? First of all it was his staff, not him, and secondly, I have no doubt he had free time, as he sure as hell wasn’t busy doing his job.

  124. lillybee says:

I liked one of the hws saying that she was married to the best photographer in the world. I hope she doesn’t tell that to Kelly.

    • Quincy IL says:

Kelly doesn’t watch the Bravo Housewive from anywhere including her own show. She is too good for that. So she won’t know this slight to Giles happened.

  125. Tlm says:

I cannot be happier after tonight that bgm is ending. The dick talk was off the charts and just endless. Really in poor taste with the baby nurse, jason’s mom and b’s employees. Of course, bravo being bravo, the end is never the end…”lost footage” will be next. What is with “lost footage” when there was never time for it to get lost? Why not just call it extra footage, which is what it is? I think I am just done. I also don’t think I can watch the giudices in Italy without wanting to throw a grenade at my tv, so I think I will be skipping that treat.

    • Squirrels says:

While I agree I wouldn’t speak that way around my mom, I might around my girlfriends. At my age, I simply don’t shock too easily anymore.

  126. Squirrels says:

I taped the DC show, then promptly deleted it. The bickering is starting right off the bat like a lost footage episode of bad housewife behavior. All that is missing is a looped reel.

Bravo’s turned into a one trick pony with this franchise. Boooooo….. Hissssss…..

  127. RK says:

The “Taste everything eat nothing,” quote is not original to Bethenny. Bethenny said she got it from a ‘friend’ – believe the name drop was Paris Hilton. Read this somewhere, not going to dig up the quote, it’s out there somewhere on the net or in B’s book. Maybe Jill is friends with Paris, too. Saw Jill & Paris chatting on Kathy’s D-List show (love Kathy – btw.) But who really knows the truth of who is a real ‘friend’ with these housewife women anyway.

    • Squirrels says:

I saw that D-List, too. Paris is not friends with Jill. Jill saw the cameras rolling and as ususal had to horn in. Kathy was not pleased. I expect Paris just rolls with that stuff. She’s used to it.

      • RK says:

My gut tells me that Jill and Paris aren’t true ‘friends’ either – based on Kathy’s D-List show (which was hilarious). But since I don’t know Jill or Paris personally, I won’t make a definitive statements as yours – “Paris is not friends with Jill.” They do at least know each other. My point was that it’s as likely Jill heard that phrase from Paris, the source, as from Beth. For whatever reason, this blogs POV on that tweet from Jill jumped out at me. Been noticing that Beth borrows/repeats catchy one liners made by others – she almost kinda hijacks ‘em the minute they’re uttered. Guess that’s why.

Heck, I went skiing and Paris walking right by me. Guess that makes us ‘friends’ too. I’ll ask her if she’s friends w/ Jill ;).

    • TLM says:

Are the penalties more because of an accident?”

  130. HD says:

Sighhhhhhhh….I really do not know what to say about the show (DC)…I have read some of the comments here and I can already feel my blood boiling. Real Housewives, race and politics do NOT mix.

I am a strong Black woman, proud wife and mother, one that voted for Obama and cried when he got elected. In spite of all that I am one that feels this country is headed in the wrong direction, that it is set on a course of destruction fueled by greed and the ultimate powers that be. Obama is simply a cog in the machine and my thoughts on that will never change even though he got my vote and if I could do it again, I would not change it.

Some of the comments I have read thus far have made me clearly know I will not survive a season of DC on this blog without a million racial and politcal conversations-conversations that will make me take stock in Pepto Bismal from chewing and swallowing racial and political conversations that do not sit well with me.

Soooooo in saying all that…I must bid farewell on a positive note. I have LOVED this blog, HATED Jill and ENJOYED the company of the women here. I wish it to remain that way. Thanks, Lynn for providing me a place to dwell when I simply googled I hate Jill Zarin.

    Peace and Blessings!

a shame you feel you must withdraw, HD.

i have to wonder: am i missing something? what i’ve seen here is that aside from some thoughtless casual references (that’s what happens when people forget not everyone holds identical views – we’re all just human!) people refrain from political commentary and i’ve never seen any racially biased comments.

i’d really like to be corrected, though.

      • Wait a minute Lillybee—-does that mean you’re not watching DC? I’m confused.
I’m not going to watch, but I’m still here.
FWIW, it wasn’t only black people who voted for Obama, heck, it wasn’t even just Democrats.
Personally, I voted for President Obama because I was tired of seeing white men in the White House, and of course I love Michelle.
I guess I can see your point that talking politics could ruin what we have here, but we are big girls & I know that I could handle it.
The DC series is going to have a political theme, so it may be unavoidable.

      • OneMoreinBoston says:

        HD-Please don’t go!!!

This is one of the most racially diverse casts of HW I’ve seen. There are interracial couples, friends and cast mates.

I do agree with you that the racial references on this show are heavy handed and awkward-BUT they are being said!

Isn’t the most insidious type of racism the type of racism that can’t quite be identified, but that exists, coiled like a snake, under the veneer of polite civility?

Maybe I am being naive, but if the racism topic is raised on this show and on this blog, no matter how badly it comes off, it has to be a plus for all of us because it gets us all to examine our own beliefs, preconceived notions, and yes, prejudices.

As “a strong Black woman, proud wife and mother, one that voted for Obama and cried when he got elected” your voice here is vitally important and needs to be heard.

        Please reconsider.

I like Cat. She is the only one w/ true proximity to power. Her husband is a star & will always be a honored friend to those he photographed. She speaks her mind.
Stacie deserves respect for graduating from Harvard but that is her most outstanding accomplishment .What does her husband do ?House looks ok but I wonder what neighborhood ; DC has many slums with one off renovated homes ? At $30mil in sales at 7% commission tops $1.5mil she earns. In this market & sharing maybe $500 000. I don’t like her attitude or her kids tiny bedrooms.
Lynda is scary. I don’t understand why her clients she mentioned need models unless they need escorts ! And her hunkie 6’5 BF , I am sure it is the new 80 year old billionaire who got the gorgeous 18 year old (ie Anna Nicole Smith). I just have to get used to it (but I don’t believe he finds her attractive).
Michaele makes my skin crawl. She is so driven by fame she is sickening. She is on aderall or she would crash in suicide attempts realizing that the entire country knows she was NEVER invited to the White House. The sari out fit is a topic for an entire post.
Last Mary ,what a cute figure (forget the closet for now). She admitted to getting knocked up before marriage. Her wedding pictures show she was NOT Cute ! She must be a good lay 5Xs over. Buttt where are the pictures of Mary and the Kennedy kids ? There must be even 1 !
    We will see.
I for one WILL BE WATCHING !
