I Hate Jill Zarin Real Housewives of New Jersey August 17, 2010
We’re getting there, I thought this season would never end, just one more episode then the endless reunions and lost footage episodes and we’re finished with the NJ housewives for another year!
The second half of this Italy trip was even more chaotic than the first as the show opens, the ship docks in Naples Italy and the pack takes a tour bus around the city. I can’t imagine why Teresa’s girls are acting out? Oh wait, they always do, it doesn’t matter what they’re doing. This is the third or fourth time in the last two episodes that we’ve seen one of these girls lashing out and hitting someone else. Unless it was edited out, no one even said a word to the kid after hitting her sister.
Is it just me or does everyone take this hitting thing way to lightly? What happened to keeping your hands to yourself and not hitting? That is a basic rule that should be taught to children the minute they can understand what you’re saying to them. These girls seem inappropriately angry all the time, I’m no child psychiatrist but I don’t think that is normal. The screaming and crying when they don’t get exactly what they want, when they want it and the lashing out by hitting, is that ok? Are they really just spoiled or is there something else causing all of this anger?
Teresa managed to show us, once again, just how extremely stupid she is, a bidet? She can’t even pronounce it? Then the always classy Juicy Joe adds that it’s like a “douche”. No, Joe, you’re a douche! Joe also is sure to announce that it is raining as they settle into their hotel room. The one thing I will give Teresa credit for, she did seem to try to look on the bright side and turn things positive, she walked into the hotel room raving about how nice it was and all Joe could say was that it is raining outside.
Joe made the trip worse than it had to be, dragging all of the luggage around then bitching about it as if he just now realized how much luggage his wife brought.
Teresa’s interviews showed very little sympathy toward Caroline, particularly since we all know now that Caroline was suffering from kidney stones throughout the trip. I think that just because Caroline was the only one who actually made everyone aware of her impatience with the screaming Giudice brats certainly didn’t mean that all of the others didn’t feel the same way but were polite enough to hide their feelings. Teresa just doesn’t get it, she choses not to discipline her children but everyone else around them suffer the consequences.
Caroline and Albert settle into their hotel room and seem to get a few minutes of peace and quiet, they seem unimpressed by Joe and Teresa’s parenting skills but really only say that they had a very different style of parenting. That much, we knew! It seems that one of Teresa’s girls, Gabriella, had taken a liking to Albert, that was actually cute. I think that little girl has middle child syndrome. Her older sister gets plenty of attention and Miliana gets a ton of attention because she screams at the top of her lungs at any given moment but little Gabriella doesn’t seem to get the attention she is craving so it’s no wonder she latched onto Albert.
Back in the United States, Danielle talks to her daughters about her search for her birth mother and they both seem to be on board with the plan. Each time I see those girls, I like them more and more. Christine uses the word “ass” and with one look from her mother corrects it to “butt” while Danielle offers even more suggestions. It is clear to me that Christine has a really good head on her shoulders and even Jillian who is so obviously shy is a smart little girl. Maybe much of this is the influence from their father, but you have to give Danielle credit where credit is due.
More and more I’m feeling sorry for Danielle, even when we watched Chris Laurita and Joe Giudice on the cruise ship discussing Danielle (why? Who knows?) Chris talked about how Danielle has no family and no friends and while his point was that it is Danielle who is to blame, it made me think that she really can’t control the fact that she has no family to speak of. Friends do seem to come and go with her, when she interviewed that Kim G was her “dearest friend” I felt sad for Danielle, we watched as she only just met Kim G that the beginning of the season at her luncheon for Christine’s magazine cover. I know that Danielle is a wack-a-doodle and clearly she can’t keep friends for a reason, but it still makes me feel a little sad for her.
Back in Italy and Chris has taken everyone out for pizza as they discuss what it is going to take to actually get to meet Joe and Teresa’s family. Apparently a long walk up a steep hill is waiting for them and the only one concerned about this is Jacqueline. Caroline complains that Teresa talks of nothing but this “reunion” that will take place tomorrow and Caroline seems clearly over it.
The group packs and lugs their suitcases once again onto a bus to head for Joe and Teresa’s family village. Father of 4 children under 10, Joe is bitching the entire time about how much everything costs, swearing like a truck driver in front of all of those kids! If it were only his own children hearing his tirade (they’ve probably heard him many times before) it would be one thing but Jacqueline’s children were also on that bus and it was extremely rude and obnoxious, not all that surprising for Joe Giudice!
This man made everyone on the bus uncomfortable with is rantings and it was completely unnecessary. Let’s review what he was talking about. He claimed that he was charged $850 Euros for the room at the hotel and his father was charged $650. The difference in price is most likely due to the family of 6 as compared to just a couple, however, didn’t Bravo pay for this? Then Joe goes on to complain about being charged for usage of the mini-bar, first he says he didn’t consume anything in the mini-bar, then says he doesn’t even drink scotch. (I believe you certainly did drink scotch after your car accident) Everyone knows those mini-bar prices are exorbitant but Joe wants to go back and kick their ass for the charges. Next Joe complains about $1,000 euro breakfast that wasn’t even that good!
All of this leaves a few questions, did Bravo pay for the trip? Possibly they paid for only the travel expenses and everything else was up to each family. They may have paid for the hotel but Joe decided to complain anyway. I would bet, however, that Bravo did not cover the mini-bar and any drinks consumed on the trip. Possibly they were given a budget and anything over budget would be paid for by each family. Eating expenses may have been the responsibility of each family. It’s hard to know but the bottom line is, Joe is a classless Neanderthal!
Caroline has a laughing fit, one that was long overdue for her on this trip when Joe actually comes out with, “We gotta be civilized”. Who do you suppose Joe was directing that comment to? His tacky, loud and obnoxious wife, his spoiled screaming children or himself? Those are really the only choices! Jacqueline adds in response to Joe’s ranting, “you eat, you drink, you pay”. Has Jacqueline met the Giudice family? No they don’t!
As they arrive in the town where Teresa and Joe’s parents grew up, we quickly learn that Jacqueline’s fears were not unfounded and half the group had to stay behind because the long steep hike wasn’t going to be possible. Again, babies are left with grandparents as they had to find a way to kill time while the group trekked up the mountain. Do you suppose these people just sat on the bus the whole time? Or are there happening night spots for them to hit while waiting for everyone to return from the family reunion?
It may have been Bravo’s editing but that climb up the steep paths and stairs seemed pretty long and harsh. Another reason I’m happy to live in the good old USA! The group begins to arrive at some family homes and each of them come out to hug and kiss the family and meet the strangers. I found it odd that no one invited them in, this reunion took place in the streets and outside homes of the families in Italy. Finally we did see that someone put out a spread of food for the guests, but still it seemed odd to me the way people were just emerging from their homes to greet the visitors from the US but didn’t invite them in. This wasn’t really a family reunion party as we would know it here, it was more like come on out of your homes and say “hi” to the guests.
Joe takes the group on a tour of a pig slaughter house and we see him smile and laugh for the very first time on this trip, he must have been happy to be with his own kind again! Teresa’s kids are whining and crying again, nothing new. Teresa starts to scream at one of them then holds herself back, softening her screeching voice as she remembers that she’s miked up for the show, “mommy has heels on” she reminds the kid!
During all of the revelry we witness almost all of the Housewives being rude, Caroline may have been the exception but Teresa, wanting to introduce a family member to Caroline, grabs Caroline by the arm and says, “Get over here!” Jacqueline in her infinite wisdom calls all of the parents and grandparents, “old people”. I’m sure they appreciated that. Caroline and Jacqueline seemed to sneak into someone’s home after Jacqueline sniffed out more food and sit down to a plate of spaghetti in someone’s home that they did not know. Jacqueline has two constants all season, her talking about Danielle all the time and her eating just as often! Did anyone notice whether Jacqueline’s 7-year old son, C.J. made the trip up the mountain? I don’t remember seeing him in any of the shots but it doesn’t make sense that he would stay back with the others, does it?
Joe is back to his nasty self walking down the hill, he snaps at his daughters, at his wife and when she asks for an apology, he tells her he’s going to kick her to her uncle’s house across the town. Did I mention what a class act Joe Giudice is?
Back down the hill and the group is back together again, we are treated to a view of where Juicy Joe spent the first year of his life and where his parents were married. Bravo must have really been short of interesting footage to have included so much of this nonsense!
The final night in Italy and a few of the Italian relatives join the group for dinner. Everyone is seated and the Giudice family makes a grand entrance looking like they just auditioned for Star Search. This was a family dinner, not an appearance on Hee-Haw. I thought the kids chomping gum was really attractive too, didn’t you? Everyone else just dresses for a normal nice dinner, Teresa looks like she’s ready to appear on the Mommy portion of Toddlers and Tiara’s or possibly she stuffed herself into that pink vinyl looking thing thinking she was going to jump out of a bachelor’s cake? Teresa thanks everyone for joining them on “their” trip, was this Teresa’s trip? I think that Teresa feels that the world is hers and everyone else is just visiting her.
The families are home again and once again, as annoying as they are, Caroline’s boys impressed by offering to make their parents something to eat after their long and exhausting trip!
A completely different scene meets us at the Giudice home, as the kids continue to scream, ignore their parents and overall act like they are given no discipline. Note to Teresa: Grandparents typically are not the best disciplinarians so when you leave your children with your parents all the time, and don’t discipline them yourself because you feel guilty for leaving them all the time, this is how your children are going to behave.
Joe and Teresa crawl into bed, also exhausted and we hear Teresa telling Joe that she loves him over and over until she forces him to return the favor. Sorry, but if it takes that much effort to get your husband to say that he loves you, maybe you should take another look at your relationship?

Off screen we learn that Joe and Teresa spent Monday, August 16 in court requesting that the judge make some changes to earlier orders. The auction of their belongings that was scheduled to take place on August 22 has been postponed to October and some of the children’s belongings are taken off the list of items to be sold.

Many articles also appeared about Danielle Staub being fired from the Real Housewives of New Jersey. If we have learned nothing about Bravo’s operation, we know that it doesn’t work like that. Before the season has completed airing, Bravo hasn’t even thought about casting for next season yet. (well, maybe they’ve thought of it) In any case, until a new season of RHONJ has been given the green light, no one can be hired or fired because there are no jobs to be had at this point. Chances are really good that RHONJ will be picked up for another season as it is the highest rated show on the cable channel, but until it is official, they’re not signing contracts with housewives just yet.
This “rumor” came from one supposed inside source at Bravo and was given to Life & Style magazine, it was then picked up by dozens of other news outlets making the story even bigger and more believable than it would have been originally. Danielle basically gave us a “no comment” because that is what she is instructed to do, she doesn’t know if she’ll be back or not at this point but neither does Jacqueline, Caroline or Teresa.

By the way, don’t bother with Danielle’s blog this week, it is regurgitated from past weeks and simply says the same things, her daughters are doing well, releasing a song and she thanks a whole bunch of people that we don’t know and couldn’t care less about. The only thing of consequence, was again her no-comment about the rumors of her being fired, Danielle stated:

Dina’s tweets tell us a few things, she hasn’t completely ruled out returning to the show, and confirms that obviously Danielle wasn’t fired since, as we know, no one is talking about Season 3 yet.
Dina tries to make us think that it was her decision not to go to Italy, when in fact it is obvious that she couldn’t possibly have gone and not been filmed! Lexi had school? So did CJ and Gia, one week off of school in exchange for a trip to Italy isn’t a big sacrifice but how could Bravo’s cameras continuously avoid Dina and Lexi during filming this trip? Dina quit the show, Bravo certainly isn’t going to accommodate her like that! Bravo wasn’t going to include anyone who wouldn’t agree to being on camera. Dina Manzo is full of shit!
Bravotv.com site is a complete mess, the blogs are irratic and it is difficult to find the newest ones, there is no longer a “video” icon to view previews or bonus footage. Hopefully they’ll get their act together soon. Here is a video clip preview for next week:

Danielle and Danny discuss the meeting that Caroline has requested. Clearly t his is all just for Bravo’s camera’s. Caroline wouldn’t have come up with this on her own. She has been telling the others for months to ignore Danielle, they simply won’t listen to her! Danny and Danielle seem to think that Caroline is behind the scenes pushing Jacqueline and Teresa to act like fools and harass Danielle, but from everything we’ve seen, Caroline is the sensible one telling them to ignore Danielle.
A few clips later, we see a bonus clip of Teresa and some of the group in Italy meeting the mayor of her hometown. Teresa, the genius, says, “it was nice to meet the mayor of Italy”. Gawd she’s stupid!
While we did have a wonderful Ashley-free episode, unfortunately she continues to tweet non-stop about Danielle and the show, she has a strange obsession with Heather McDonald who works on the Chelsey Lately show, Ashley tweeted to her several times:

I have to add that there are a lot of ways to travel across Europe and Italy that don’t require a heavy hit on the wallet. It’s nice to stay in luxurious places…but there are a gazillion bed and breakfast inns scattered all around Italy that are fairly inexpensive, have GREAT food, and are comfortable, if not overly ostentatious. It’s hypocritical for Joe to whine because Bravo was paying for it all, but even if Bravo hadn’t been, no one held a gun to any of their heads and forced them to stay in the most overpriced places in the area.
Point in fact, Joe let his wife run wild while they were bilking everyone in sight, and now that the gravy train has dried up and the courts and creditors are onto their grifting, he’s still letting her run wild, while pretending to play poor to gain audience sympathy. But we all know that these two grifters have likely hidden a large amount of assets from the courts, for one thing, and we all also know that Bravo footed the bill.
Give it up, Guiseppe. No one’s buying your snake oil.
Be careful when requesting anything without asking the price. I have a friend who has a website. He used dial up two days at a small hotel and was charged 11oo dollars. Shocking, but true. A female friend asked for water. They charged her 20 dollars in a street side cafe.
I think you have be ask first and then order.

I imagine that the group left at the bottom of the hill made their way to a nice cafe or resturant to have a meal in peace and quiet. Heck I bet they even checked into what ever hotel they were staying at for the evening and then took in the sights at their own pace minus the screaming kids/camera crew and abnoxious adults. I bet they even had more fun on doing stuff on their own.
Jezzibel, they have no nice hotels in that little hole of a town in Southern Italy–god knows where they stayed that night—maybe back in Naples or back on the ship—who knows. This has always been the poor part of Italy, not the industrial North which includes Emilia-Romagna region—the bread basket of Italy, and Tuscany—one of the great wine regions, as well as all the manufacturing regions in Piemonte–Fiat is in Turino, not to mention all the design and fashion businesses in Milan which is in Lombardy. Most everything south of Rome is very poor. That’s why much of the Italian immigration to the US came from these poor Southern Italy towns.
What I thought was strange was that there were cruises in the winter—it was way too cold for a cruise. If you go on the Costa web site, they do not cruise in the Mediterranean in Dec, Jan or Feb. Something very odd about the whole thing as the ship was practically empty. So when exactly was this cruise—what month? It may have been part of a “repositioning” cruise.
wishful thinking on my part. I was about 5 when we went to Italy, I mostly remember touring Pompey&Herculanium, Trajens market in Rome(had a fat ginger cat that wandered around with us) and the alps.
From what I could tell, it was basically a 2nd test voyage , or the first “official” one. (the first one was an “inspection”-type sailing in late 2009), Also, everyone on the ship was “comped”, the rest of the passengers were travel agents and travel industry people.
The ship does 100 day world-wide cruises, and it’s smaller than the major lines like Celebrity, which they use as an advantage to get-through The Panama Canal, or places that are too small for larger vessels to get-through.

As to the Bravo clip setting up the “Big Talk” between Caroline and Danielle – At what point will Caroline stop calling Ashley “this child?” She’s an adult, has already moved out and moved back in, has committed battery on a woman, lied about it, laughed about it, showed zero remorse and doesn’t give a rat’s tail about her mother. It may be childlike behavior, but nonetheless Ashley at best is ignorant to the real world or at worst, a legal adult who just doesn’t give a damn.

As usual right on the money.. where i come from those guidice girls have a disease. its called “Nothing a good beating wouldnt cure-itis” and the cure is in the title.
Where does a just turned 4 year old learn the phrase, “break your neck?” Things that make you go hmmmmm.

I’m going out on a limb and saying I think the blame for how those kids act is 100% on their mom and dad.
I’m sure that’s obvious to everyone but when I read some comments that mention their behavior I think some commenters blame the actual kids too.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion (of course) but when I see how horrible Teresa and Joe are, combined with how young the kids are I can’t blame the kids.
NOT the same for teenagers. Parents have less and less influence. Yes Gia is 9 so hopefully she is seeing there are better ways to behave at school BUT
just imagine Teresa called in to a principal’s office. Remember what a disrespectful bitch she was to the police?
Today I vote Teresa and Joe the MOST horrible people on the planet. They beat Danielle, Jill, Kelly and Michele Salami
because they are unleashing all those kids out onto playgrounds, junior highs, parties, our economy…etc.
It seemed odd to me when Milania screeched about not wanting her mom to “break her neck”. Seemed like she was repeating a warning one of the adults issued to Teresa about wearing those stupid heels to trek around Italy. She looked ridiculous and pretentious the whole time. Everyone else looked practical and comfortable, but not Chewy…
And not to mention that huge fat ass of hers…..the camera couldn’t stay off of it when they were climbing up the hill
Ashley is really going through something mentally now. Wow a lip piercing and she’s getting a tattoo. Good job, Jacq. The trip to Italy was awfully bad and what was with that grand entrance with Teresa and her family. I feel for those poor little girls. It’s really sad that she dresses them in big poofy dresses and hairbows. What’s with all the head garment she puts on those kids hair.
I think beginning last week, Ashley’s attitude was she hated “all of them.” Who “all” are was not made apparent. She certainly sounds like she’s still up to her old haha tricks, though.

I have to disagree. Teresa did not pronounce bidet correctly in either language. I am 100% italian and spoke Italian until I went to school where I learned English and subsequently learned French in school so I can tell you that Teresa did not pronounce it correctly. She said, “aubahday,” which isnt even remotely close to the word. What Teresa speaks is dialect, it is not Italian, and what she needs is Rosetta Stone to learn what the language actually sounds like.
It is “Il bidet,” pronounced il bee-day in Italian, and in French it is un bidet.
Great blog as always. When you wrote that they walked in looking like they were auditioning for Star Search, I was hysterical. I cannot believe those hideous outfits. Teresa and Joe are such horendous parents. Joe’s cursing was out of control. Watching the 2 of them is like watching a train wreck.

The rest of the trip was just more of the same – bad behavior by the Giudice’s and watching everyone else suffer. The only nice moment was seeing Caroline with her father. Her father seemed genuinely moved in the moment and that is touching. I am sure we can all relate to that sort of moment with our parents.
It really comes as no surprise the Manzo children are good to their parents. They are good kids. We see their fun, playful tweets on Twitter – never anything inappropriate. Trashley is always crossing the line on Twitter. Oh, that child. She needs counseling ASAP. Instead I think she got her lip pierced at the mall or something like that (check her tweets)
Joe Giudice is what we in NJ call a GUIDO. A dumb, loud-mouthed, hot-headed, pumped up (juiced up) Italian. Juiced Joe is going to court to appeal the community service for his drunk driving (he is too good to serve his community), they still have to go back to court for the bankruptcy mess, Joe’s former partner is suing them – and I think there are more criminal charges pending. I think Juiced Joe better get used to court houses and media….its only going to get more difficult.

My background is very similar to Teresa’s in that both of my parents immigrated from Southern Italy in the late 60s and like Teresa, I grew up speaking Italian as my first language. I was exposed to English for the first time in kindergarten as well.
This fact does not automatically merit the accusation that my parents entered the U.S. illegally.
That said, I can say that Teresa was stumbling over her words and not speaking Italian very well.
But if you have any questions about ethnic traditions I can vouch for whether or not they are authentic to being Italian or an excuse for Teresa to be over-the-top.
Different families with different visions – Caroline’s parents elected not to speak and/or teach Italian to their children with the reason that they wanted to be Americans. My Russian grandmother (first to come over) also did not teach her children for the same reason – but as a grandchild who asked her to teach me and she did! Some first generations don’t want to lose that part of their culture and refuse to learn English even when their children go on to learn it.
This isn’t a question about being legal/naturalized or illegal it is a family choice as to which language(s) will be learned and spoken.
My husband didn’t speak Farsi, his Iranian native language, to our kids. I think he was tired when he would get home after working long hours and just wanted to be quiet. To teach a child a language is a lot of work.
OnemoreinBoston commented on yesterday’s blog about Melania possibly having a hearing deficiency. I really think that may be correct. Hearing and sight deficiencies can go undetected until the child is in Kindergarten. That may explain some of her angry behavior. Gabriella really hooked on the Albert and Caroline. Probably knowing instinctively that they were source of stability and discipline.

@stlgal, I think the home Teresa was refering to is her parents property and since she “is rich” she feels responsible for its upkeep. I have a co-worker whose elderly DAD owns a lot of real estate (purchased in the 1950’s) that he refers to as “ours” and “mine”. Even though his name is on NONE of it and he never contributed a dime towards the purchases.
As much as everyone hates Teresa I will always hate Danielle more. She’s bringing guys with guns to her sitdown with Caroline? Who does that? The same chick who brought bodyguards to her meet with Dina, the same chick who brought Hells Angels to a Cancer benefit for a baby. The same chick who held up a handfull of UNUSED HAIR EXTENSIONS and claimed Ashley yanked it out of her head. (I’m a hairdresser, I know the difference!) Did you know that the rich like Jill Zarin or Kelly Bensimon rarely give the same percentage of their income to charity than the lower middle/working class do. I have seen articles stating that people about this. Working people give to their churches, schools, the Salvation Army and the Red Cross to help in times of need. They have less income so the percentage is higher.
Remember Jill thought that organizing the Creeky Joints gala was enough and she was pushed into giving a check by Ramona. How much did the Countess or Kelly give? I bet they bought their own tickets and very nice designer dresses for the event.

What pisses me off more than them is Caroline, Dina and Jaq are still defending and making excuses for these CRIMINALS! Thick as Thieves is right – that is exactly what they are – THIEVES! Dina wasn’t having it while her sister bullied everyone into turning the world against this woman. One question I have is: Since Dina married for money, does that make her a prostitution whore? These people are hypocritical! I actually happen to think that Danielle is a pretty loyal friend and is only trying to find someone that will be loyal to her. Caroline picked the wrong person to bully and try to destroy – she should’ve went with the true lying crook – Teresa Giudice! Caroline and her clan better start doing some cleaning house cause right now because America is not happy with her (plus other bullies) lying and making excuses for Giudice Family! Nice rant and good points! Last night was the 3rd episode I watched this season – just couldn’t bear to watch after the first episode. I’m glad I tuned it. It was the first time the talking head interviews showed Caroline and Jac questioning T’s behavior and parenting (or lack thereof). Was surprised that T described both Joe and Caroline as being in “funky” moods. Teresa, they aren’t in funky moods, they are fed up and irritated with your selfish, greedy, hairy ass! After spending more than an hour at a time with her, I don’t think Caroline finds her cute and funny anymore. You’re right, we can all see that she’s wearing thin on the others and they should stop pretending otherwise and making excuses. They’ll probably start distancing themselves as the shit really starts to hit the fan for Teresa…
Personally, I think there is waaaay more to all of this and we just have not seen it on air. Something definitely happened between Danielle and Dina. The reunion tells us as much. Danielle acted like, in this last, episode, that she couldn’t go near the Manzo/Laurita neighborhood yet the other ladies have said that Danielle would pop up at places that they would be at. It’s a small world, but it’s not that small. My dad lived in the next town over and I bumped into him once in 30 years. Danielle having bodyguards go to a casual fundraiser to “protect” her was ludicrous. Danny Pro and Danielle acting the way they did at The Brownstone was uncalled for. There was also that luncheon where she had the two empty spots for Jacq and Dina. Who does that? It was immature and childish.
I will agree that the whole affair at the fashion show was all the other sides fault. I will also say that Danielle knew exactly what to say to push Teresa’s buttons, which is ok. Teresa became a deranged lunatic. Bad behavior begets bad behavior.
Both sides love to play the victim. I don’t feel sorry for any of them. They’re all a bunch of horse’s asses.
Danielle probably has some dirt on Dina and her husband. That would be enough to make Dina hate her. Danielle might know someone that Tommy has slept with.

sorry I have to disagree with Boston and WindyCity comments regarding D owning her stuff. In fact she doesn’t. She repeatedly lies/denies facts. She was a pole dancer but didn’t show her tatas, she was an escort but didn’t have sex. Not to mention her non acceptance of her part of the whole “Cop without a badge” stuff. She claims only that she was arrested and changed her name. If you read the court proceedings there was a heck of a lot more. I do agree that Kelly doesn’t own anything. She is completely without self awareness.
I think D lies too. I think that D manipulated behind the scenes and then played the good Catholic card on tv. BTW, going to mass doesn’t make you a good Catholic, it’s how you live every minute of your day.
Oh Danielle lies, is dilusional, paranoid and plays the victim well. Her version of her life is different than the one the other housewives peddle. But when you watch Teresa and Jacq and Ashley lie about what happened at the country club along with their obsession with Danielle – Danielle, with all her flaws, comes off more real than they do, IMHO.
Windy – I agree with you! It shouldn’t matter how much hair was pulled out – we all watch Ashley assault Danielle and then all of them lie about it. What is really sick about it is that Trashley is still proud of it. I bet Chris is embarassed after actually seeing the footage months later of his wife and step-daughter acting a fool in that country club and what really went down. Chris is problem is that he keeps blaming D instead of T,J and A!
@FreeGinger, my point about Danielle and the hair extensions is that the handfull of hair she holds up is a GROSS exaggeration. That was 1/8 of a head of hair. You could grab me by the hair, twist it around your fist, drag me up and down the street and STILL not yank that much hair out! The hair pull looked painfull, don’t get me wrong, but she lost 2-3 plugs at the most. To lose the massive clump she claimed Ashley pulled would have resulted in a baseball sized bald spot and heavy bleeding. She lost my sympathy with her lies.
Great blog again as usual Lynn. They moved my room at school, so I don’t have internet and looks like life is busier than usual, so still lurking and far behing. One thing I find fascinating about Teresa is that she seems to have the ability to completely detach from reality. It’s like she lives in her own little Teresa World with a huge sense of entitlement. She does whatever she wants, regardless of the consequences. She seems oblivious to any kind of negative response from anyone. (Fingers in ears, singing loudly with Joisey accent “La la la la la!”)
She must have been raised as a pampered little princess who got whatever she wanted, and married a man who has given her whatever she wants. She probably has never experienced any kind of consequence; someone has always picked up the pieces after her “mess.” She most likely truly believes that she this whole bankruptcy stuff will not really impact her, because things have always worked out her way. Narcissist much??
That’s my Amateur Psych Analysis at no charge. LOL
We all practice arm chair psychoanalysis in here at one time or another. What was telling for me was when in the bus @ Naples, T said when Joe gets in a mood she just ignores him. On the face of it, we all have done that with loved ones. However, could it be how she copes? Joe is under tremendous stress at that point in the game and watching his money hemorrhage out of his own pockets had to be frustrating. To believe T didn’t know the circumstances of the bankruptcy is naive in my opinion. She SIGNED the documents and is in this up to her eyeballs.
Meanwhile, Joe has proven on national TV he never paid attention when watching Mr. Rogers those many years ago.

As I read the list, I thought about Teresa’s behaviors and words. She seemed to fit everyone of these definitions. How does someone become a sociopath? Is it the way they are raised?
I think it’s genetic – chemical. jmo
Of course it is how they are raised (perhaps with a bit of chemical issues). Parents teach they children how to ‘feel’ the world (empathy) – by validation , positively reinforcing a child’s “I am-ness”, and by consistency in security m feeling safe to “be”.
One very brief story:
There is a prominent politican who shall go unnamed – that when as a 7 year old child, his little sister died (of natural causes). The parents famously never explained this to the 7 year old – they went and played golf instead. Didn’t help the child’s own guilt, confusion, and questions and sense of his own security and teach the that remaining living child how to appropriately process this and ‘feel it’. Thus develop “empathy”. A disconnect. A break between ego and feelings – what is known as not “integrated” – not whole. The future adult’s outside self (personality) then is not connected with the inside adult (feelings). Result: anxiety, dysfunction with inter personal relationships, lack of coping skills, possible addictions to sooth anxieties, and so on…….
It starts at home.
I mena to add – when I said that the child was not atught how to approprately “fee” and process his little sister’s death – he was not taught and not allowed to “grieve”. That helps develop emapthy and process deep sadness . Sadness is taught as a natural part of life – and its okay to feel and express it and how to deal with it – then when appropriate move on.

I’m going to attempt to be nonjudgmental and positive on this post which IS difficult giving the cast of characters.
For informational purposes, nonjudgmental here: A lot of people seem to be comparing what Danielle has done versus what Jill has done in discussing Danielle being “kicked off the show.” I put that last part in quotes because we really don’t know if the report is true. It has also been reported that Danielle has been shopping another reality show around. IF this is true she is probably attempting to shop it to Bravo and to other networks. If is is true I could see the powers that be releasing her from her contract. Another rumor is that Danielle has floated the rumors herself for a potential lawsuit against the remaining cast members.
As far as Joe’s anger on the bus. I thought part of it was that Joe thought he’d paid for his room and his parents room only to find his father had been billed also.
Now for the positive. I loved the few shots of Caroline and Chris with their parents. We don’t really see Chris interact with his sisters. I think the two on this show I like the most right now are Chris and Albert. I liked seeing Albert and Caroline finally get a few moments of peace in their hotel room. Finally, even though he’s a young adult I liked Christoper welcoming home his “Mommie”
Agreed, Chris and Albert seem like genuinely good guys. Neither one of them seems to be thrilled to be on tv, but they’re good sports and bring some sense of normalcy to the show. Also agree about young Christopher – he seems goofy and sweet. I find him much more interesting than the much lauded Albie (who I think is boring and seems less genuine).
Look, I believe people that have a past that involve gangs/mobs, drugs, abuse, criminal informants, and felony charges often have to have to be able to lie on the fly in order to survive.
I have said before – Danielle will say and do almost anything when she feels attacked. I call people like this “kitchen sink” fighters, they’ll throw in anything including the kitchen sink if it will help them win the fight or get away from their attacker.
But when she reflects, Danielle does admit to her mistakes, especially in her talking head appearances. She may manipulate others for sympathy but I have also heard her admit her faults and mistakes.
Also, I believe Danielle’s claims of sexual abuse. Not from what she says but from the way she behaves. I also believe that she was a stripper, and an escort/prostitute.
I think she numbed herself to the reality through abusing drugs, coke in particular. I know this from personal experience (no not me…but a close friend) that when caught up in that type of abuse and then abusing themselves with drugs and booze, women have NO IDEA what the hell they’re caught up in.

Its sometimes exhausting, frustrating and I cry a lot in my bathroom. Lol. Also going through then end of an engagement and trying to find a job, new apartment and a new life. What doesn’t break us makes us stronger, right? At least I’m not as dumb as Teresa and annoying as Dina

So glad to see you pop back in emt2. We have all been concerned and thinking good thoughts for your mother and for you. I have a little experience as I suspect quite a few in here have on facing life changing times. It would be easy to tell you, time is a great leveler and let it go. Truth is time is important, but so, too is taking the time to express our sadness. That is something that helped me. My tears allowed me to be hurt, angry, confused and finally learn to look forward and accept whatever my future would entail. You may not realize it, but you are already on your own road to finding good things. At first they may be small advances, but step by step, you will get there.

I loved when Albert and Caroline were talking to Gabriella about the scenery – it was making a memory!
I suspect Albert and Caroline made more memories than the rest of the cast. At no point did we see family time between Chris, Jac and their kids. As for T and Joe? That 6-some was a disaster.
Not sure if this has been said but I have to say it for my own sanity. What you heard come out of Juicy and Foreheadless’ mouth last night was NOT Italian. It was DIALECT, a bastardization of the beautiful Italian language. If you noticed, Teresa added a “T” to the name of her family’s town, it is Sala Consilina, Notice, no T in those words, but that genius said Sala Cuntalina (Freudian slip maybe?). As an Italian I have to bring this to others’ attention just so no one thinks that that is what Italian sounds like. It is a beautiful language and that was pretty much as far from it as you can get. She disgusts me and disgraces me that she calls herself Italian. UNICO (Italian-American organization which actually spoke out against the Jersey Shore) should petition to permanently shut Teresa’s mouth if she ever says she is Italian again.

OMG! This woman is the absolute pits! She is equal to Danielle in so many ways yet she thinks she is “cute” in describing herself as a “troublemaker”. One of the most self satisfied, treacherous women ever showcased on tv and that includes Jill Zarin along with Danielle Staub.
She has “weaseled” her way onto this show by devious means and even takes a swipe at Teresa before she has managed to get her contract signed. I loathe Kim G more than I do any of the others just for her deceitful, hypocritical, shameless campaign to be seen.
She embodies the word “snake” and expects applause for behaving like such a fool. My guess is that Kim G’s backstory will be just as interesting when it finally manages to get out. I can’t tolerate this woman and Bravo will be doing few favors by including this “horror show” onto an already disastrous series.
Equals Danielle? No, that’s a bit harsh considering Kim has done nothing offensive outside of the show. No sordid history so far & no sex tape. Ones past is revealed quickly now with the internet (as we well know here); Kim has been on a few months, if she had a skeleton or two in her closet, I think it would have appeared by now. I also disagree that she weaseled her way on; Bravo filmed her & is editing how many scenes she appears in. I like her & you hate her, she evokes strong reactions from viewers, that’s why I predict she won’t be going away.

The last scene at the Portobello validated all along what she is. Either a “poser” willing to demean herself for face time, or a loud mouthed “witchface” with some very serious issues of her own.
I think when the mask falls off Kim G’s “two faces” none of us will be really all that surprised.

Uh, oh, speaking of “reality tv”, it is being alleged that Fantasia, who has a reality show on VH1 for some reason, has purportedly “faked” her suicide attempt and then left the hospital, met her “fiance” in the park to discuss their “relationship” while the cameras for the network filmed the event for her series. Admittedly she looked none the worse for wear following this supposed rush to the hospital only 24 hours before, and was in full make up for the cameras. From what was reported, she took a large overdose of aspirin which may or may not have led to having her stomach pumped but because of HIPPA we may never learn the truth.
Fantasia his being accused of “alienation of affections” by the wife of the “fiance” and is suing her for a large sum.
Just another day on “reality tv land” that makes one go “oops” when watching these “pretend” dramas staged specifically for the cameras.
It is my understanding that if you land in a hospital for a suicide attempt, you are forced by law to go to at least a 3 day in patient treatment. Am I wrong?
Squirrels, it depends on the jurisdiction and if the hospital believes the person is a danger to himself/herself. Also there is a lot of paper work involved. Some docs can’t be bothered. Trust me. I went through this for 30+ years with my sister who was mentally ill. There was a revolving door…in and out of psyhc units. And eventually she disappeared and is now presumed dead.
In Fla–they call it the Baker Act and it is 72 hours…or if over a weekend…could be longer….depending on the dr’s schedule and YOUR ability to pay (Insurance will keep you in longer–not your company–the hospital) Have kids from school this has happened to.
Geez Mel, that had to be torture for you family.

Just because someone speaks in a dialect does not necesarily mean that he or she is speaking incorrectly. Many dialects are legitimate languages. While Italian is the official state language, Sicily’s and Southern Italy’s roots can be traced to Spanish and Arabic occupations and thus, their local vocabulary and cuisine (couscous anyone?) reflects this heritage.
Is someone in Louisiana speaking incorrectly when using local Creole terms? Are signs written in Gaelic in the city of Belfast incorrect? The English had a successful campaign to ban Gaelic as an invalid language as it was not the official language–does that deem the language inauthentic?
In Indiana locals use the terms “pop” for soft drinks and “hoosier” as an affectionate term for midwesterner. In southern Illinois “soda” is the preferred term for soft drinks and “hoosier” translates to white trash. Who is wrong here?
There is nothing wrong with speaking a dialect, however, the phrases/idioms in dialectical versions of Italian are not proper Italian, i.e., in an Italian dictionary for example, and are not technically correct words/pronunciations of the language. That being said, what annoys me is that Teresa says she speaks fluent Italian and I want to point out that what she is speaking is not Italian in its truest form like you WOULD hear in Italy. It is a regional dialect, so I’d prefer her say that what she is speaking is not correct/proper Italian, but Italian as spoken in her town. Also, I want to point out to those that do not speak Italian that what they were hearing is not Italian in its proper form because it is a beautiful language and what you were hearing was the farthest thing from it.

Now it is total carnage; like an overturned bus of orphans that was hit by a group of non-helmet wearing motorcycle riders. It is just too horribly to witness.
Bravo itself has zero credibility as well. Between the bullshit posts they actually allow on the blogs, Andy’s (well just about everything with Andy), and their recent “editing error” on the RHWDC. I am surprised more of an issue wasn’t made of their admittance of editing in a real DC Metro car for the “police escort”. It makes me wonder what else they are doing behind the screens. I find it to be extremely insulting. As much as I like Bethenny, she should run away as far and as fast as possible from Bravo.
While I will not be watching any of these shows, I will continue to see what the casts are doing in the real world. I think I am so interested because somehow I need proof that Karma exists. I want to see T living in a small apartment while Joe serves his jail sentence for fraud, forgery, and then tax evasion. I want to see T go to work everyday to try to make a living like the rest of us. I want to see her girls in pre-school so they can learn to behave. I want to see the Salami’s in the same situation, him in jail and her with a “real” job. I want to see Kelly actually BE a mom instead of tweeting about what a great mom she is to her kids that are miles away, which she hasn’t seen for more than a few days straight in weeks, and are apparently being raised by nannies. Of course, this shouldn’t happen until she either gets off drugs or gets therapy; and if neither happens then someone else should come in and bring some consistency to their lives. Oh, and while she is at it I would like to see her actually do something meaningful for a charity, instead of just talking about it. I want to see Bobby file for divorce from Jill and due to a prenup; Jill is forced to get a real job as well. I want to see Ashley have a bad enough experience of some sort that she has an epiphany and realizes what a dumb bitch she is being and on her current path she has no real future.
I think most everyone here learned so long ago that actions speak louder than words, but yet somehow this simple concept has yet to reach the majority of the housewives on any franchise. God they add just want me to yell (in the best Juicy Joe voice) “Just shut the fuck up already”.

Frankly, I don’t think either of you are wrong. Although it can be used to define social class, using different words within the same language does not constitute a “dialect” in the traditional sense. This is where I believe Obsessed with RH was going, but I certainly get your point on the issue.

Her home is in foreclosure because they could not pay their bills. Her clothes, though costly, are better suited for Vegas showgirl wear. She has no style, can barely articulate, and her forehead meets her hairline like low tide. What’s to be jealous of here?
The same with Kelly. What are we supposed to be jealous of? She is built like a mack truck, her skin is orange, her inarticulation is laughable, her grasp on reality is tenuous, she has no friends to speak of, no one seems to be wanting to date her, and her cultural references are non existent. Wait a minute, are Texans not Americans because of their strong twang? Are Bostonians not Americans because of their nasal pronunciations of certain words, say “office” or “on.”
Variations in dialects do not necessarily reflect social strata or education level.
Let us not overlook that New Englanders pronounce words quite differently than say, the residents of North Dakota, California or Oklahoma. In a greater scope, we Americans pronounce words differently but have a shared vocabulary as our British

People do look down on others for their “twangs.” East Coast/Manhattanites looked down on Bush II because he had a real Texan accent. The media did too.
When I graduated high school outside of Philadelphia I was headed to a college down South. My father had a little discussion about being careful not to pick up the southern accent. He said “Right or wrong people in the northeast perceive those with southern accents as being slow”, and in hindsight I believe he was right. The important term here is “perceive”.
That’s exactly how I got my nickname “Sweet Pea”. I grew up in Charleston, SC (still the home of my heart) and then moved up North. Still have and am proud of the accent.
It’s not a function of Teresa pronouncing words differently. The issue is that she isn’t even saying the words at all. She is leaving off letters and recreating the actual word, for example, when asking someone to come over here, the proper phrase in Italian is Veni qui. Teresa, in her dialect says Vena ka. (I’m purposely misspelling these phrases so you can see/hear the difference). Another example is the bidet nonsense. It is “Il bidet” and she said “aubahday.” It’s not that she is mispronouncing, but she is bastardizing the original language. Big difference.

I watched one episode. The one with Demi Moore because I loved the photo shoot props, etc. shown in the teasers. Zoe bored me to death. Her lack of a grasp on the english language sent me to sleep. Self importance does not always translate to good TV. But that’s just me playing the snob. Why can’t I get paid for being a self serving bitch? I’d work it like a Rockette. Life is so unfair I tell ya.

I thought it was interesting that Theresa referred to owning the home in Italy that her parents lived in. Wonder if her bankruptcy lawyer is aware that she admitted on national TV to owning even MORE property.
The shopping trip after declaring bankruptcy was to spend it so that the trustee lawyers couldn’t freeze their liquid assets. So it’s better to buy gaudy things than to TRY to pay back some of your debts? Is that the lesson there? Put your $11 million debt on tax payer’s backs while you go blow more money than a lot of people make in a year so that you DON’T have to pay back any debts. That makes perfect sense.
The more I learn about Theresa and Joe and their behavior and dishonesty the more disgusted I am at Bravo for not yanking these nimrods off the show.
It is possible that Joe was moving funds to Italy for safe keeping. Joe and Teresa don’t appear to have moral compasses.
To be fair to Chewbacca (and believe me it pains me to do this), it’s fairly common in Europe (ok, Spain, where I’ve actually seen this happen, so it’s not a stretch that it would happen in Italy too), for people to say they “own” a house when it’s really a house that is in the family somehow, but possibly owned by another relative (say, one still living in that town, as opposed to those who have moved to larger cities or the US). Title to some properties is so screwed up & impossible to untangle that many times, the properties are left to just go to ruin & whoever ends up “owning” it builds a newer house right next to the old one.
Besides that, a US Bankruptcy judge might not have power to seize property in that country. Even here in Florida, your home cannot be seized (except if you are in default of course) due bankruptcy, it depends on *where* the property IS as far as the law would apply, in this case Italian law.
Just *try* enforcing a US federal or state court order seizing property in Mexico & watch what happens. 🙂 Bet the same would happen in Italy. 🙂
Chewy is a braggart and a liar. She probably doesn’t legally own the property, but some family member won’t object is she wants to fix it up. Recall her irate insistence that her house wasn’t in foreclosure and was worth $5 MILLION dollars. None of the estimates we’ve read about come anywhere near $5 mil. Sadly, through mismanagement and bad taste, I believe they may have pissed away nearly $5 mil to create a house worth $1.8 million.

I stopped watching Dr. Phil a long time ago. The fact that he’s having Teresa on his show just confirms to me that he’s grasping at straws in the ratings game (as he has been for a long time without positive results). His show took a turn for the worse when we remodeled the set and started going after celebrities bookings (a la Britney Spears). I believe that he will treat her with kid gloves. I’ll wait to hear how that show plays out from reading about it. I hope his ratings continue to tank and I hope that I’m wrong about the “pass” that I believe he is going to give her.
He exploits and damages some truly sick people… and he had no credentials anymore.
Why do I feel so badly that Danielle got the ax? I don’t like her. I know she is sick. She had all of the money in the world at one point and enjoyed spending it, riding in private jets, and being Mrs. Tom Staub. She lost Tom to a younger, beautiful woman who in many ways was a Danielle look alike. She lost her free spending life and probably went crazy with affairs. She had no regard for the wives of the men that she used. Yet, I have this feeling that Danielle is a wounded bird trying to survive. Of course, I know she survives like the survivors of the Donner Party. Well, the people Danielle consumes are alive at the time.
Danielle’s kids do well under the circumstances. You don’t cross Danielle’s lines, they learned that at an early age. What we see is two well adjusted kids, but we don’t know how much their stomach’s ache when Mom is pushing. Both girls have had visceral pain when mom pushed hard. One nearly threw up in a fashion line up, the other looked green before the singing performance. Physical responses to the stresses mom puts on them indicates that they have some emotional problem with mom.
Still, I see Danielle who thought she had the world on a string, both in her marriage and in her stardom with Bravon, being crushed. I don’t like the Manzos and I suspect they had a hand in her second downfall. Danielle isn’t garbage. No Human Being should be addressed like that. I think if Danielle was let go was because she refused to film with anyone. We got the Manzo part, but the two Kims were bridges between so there was some interaction besides the Danny crap. IMO Danielle wanted to be isolated and loved playing the misunderstood victim. Viewers didn’t like it – she didn’t have storylines of interest and Bravo reacted. Yes there will always be two sides for the drama but Danielle wanted to be alone in the spotlight. Sadly, I did enjoy her daughters but not her.
But without “we hate Danielle” what’s left? None of the others have much to offer beyond sitting around bemoaning her name. I am unable to see a storyline beyond this one involving anyone else.
The storyline they have relied upon to gin up the fanfare has been done to death. We suffered through 15 weeks of Jill v Bethenny and another 15 weeks of Danielle v everybody else.
Truthfully, without her, and admittedly she was bad enough, what is there left to hold interest? The others are bland stand alones and Teresa has shown that she has been living a big fat lie in front of the cameras.
There is nothing intriguing about watching them go through the motions of daily lives. Danielle’s presence at least offered a modicum of ridicule when she appeared onscreen. The demise of this show would offer a welcome relief.
Olivia (I love your name by the way,) we have Kim G. She’s mega rich so there are going to be cotillions and coming out parties like “Gone With the Wind.” There may even be a war. I can see it now, Teresa in high heels and a whoop skirt vs. Kim G in a circus highflyer’s costume with whips. Should be a hoot to watch.
I agree with you. I don’t enjoy Danielle as much as I do her girls. They are beautiful, talented and intelligent. I like their interaction with each other. IE: in the diner when Danielle went outside to vent to danny on the phone, her girls snuggled together in the booth. Very sweet. I have twin girls. They will get in a fight (verbal), and then 10 minutes later will be sitting on the couch, one with her head on the other’s lap.

Teresa Was Legally Entitled To Spend $60,000.00

Teresa Giudice is taking a lot of heat for allegedly spending $60,000 on home furnishings and luxury items immediately after filing for bankruptcy last October, but her attorney says that was her money to spend any way she wanted.
“That was the money she earned as an advance for her book Skinny Italian,” her attorney Jim Kridel tells PEOPLE. “Since she earned it after the filing, she was absolutely free to spend it.”

And, he says, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star was wise to do so.
“If she put it in the bank, they’d say, ‘Why don’t you pay your creditors,’ and the trustee might freeze the assets while he investigates whether she can spend it or not,” Kridel says.
Acknowledging that the reality star may “draw scrutiny” by spending that much, Kridel says Giudice didn’t break the law. “Legally you are entitled to spend money you earn after a bankruptcy,” he explains.
The cause of the shopping frenzy? “She needed to re-buy furniture because she didn’t have any furniture in the house,” says Kridel. “It’s a big house and she wanted furniture consistent with her style on the show. There is nothing wrong with doing that, except that it doesn’t look good for her to be doing it.”
As for paying back the creditors, that’s still a work in progress — and fraught with issues, Kridel says.
A scheduled Aug. 22 auction of personal items belonging to Teresa, 38, and husband Joe, 40, was postponed until Oct. 3, but Kridel says the items for sale — including the couple’s wedding rings, children’s toys and even a suit or armor — are expected to fetch only $51,000 at auction. (The couple is entitled to $52,000 worth of personal property that is exempt from the bankruptcy filing.)
The two listed $10.98 million in debt when they filed for bankruptcy last year. Kridel adds that other than the $51,000 in property, “they have no assets.”

As for the after the filing spending spree – while it may be legal, the fact remains that the Guidices will have some debt restructured and needing to be repayed! Why has their income not been frozen? This to me looks like they are not going to pay even if ordered to do so. Their lawyer hasn’t been giving good advice or they have elected not to follow it. As far as needing to spend any money to maintain Teresa’s sense of style is stupid because she has no taste. And at the end of the day – if the mcmansion is valued at even a half a million – how can they afford to remain there given the declared income? This stinks and they deserve the harshest treatment allowed by law!
It might be legal, but it only shows us how “morally” bankrupt this woman is. She is reprehensible.

Her attorney omitted from mentioning in that article the $21K on furnishings they spent just days before they filed for bankruptcy. (Think they still owe 10K on that according to a previous report.)
Bankruptcy was their “get out of debt free” card. They saw their multiple loan fueled, debt ridden run about to collapse so they kept on spending, filed bankruptcy, then kept on spending.
Question: how does a couple who told they court they only earn $79K per year, drop $60K on furnishings days after filing bankruptcy? Legal, maybe. Is that what Teresa calls “living within one’s means?” Obviously not.
Its interesting. I’ve read two articles, one mentioning she spent 60,000 before the bankruptcy and one a few days after they filed. Don’t know which to believe but both were articles on the net. Who is telling the truth, their attorney or maybe the other side?

Perception is the name of the game and she blew it again. Where is it written that you are “entitled” to live in the lap of luxury after filing a bankruptcy claim for 11 million dollars and are allowed to go right back out there and spend 60 thousand on furnishings when creditors are being stiffed? Where is the fairness in that?
And just how much time has she spent with her kids the last few months as she parades her sorry @ss all over the place making “special appearances” and being booked on Dr. Phil? These people are shameless and while most of us would be hanging our heads at the revelation of our financial mismanagement, they seem to revel in the attention.
I have no respect for this woman or Bravo for promoting this criminality and greed. She needs to be fired alongside Danielle Staub. This is one way justice can be served in denying her the “fame” she craves.
The lawyer and Teresa can claim that she had the right to spend that book income on anything she wishes, but we all know it was wrong not to pay the people who trusted you. It’s theft. We all know that. Teresa and the hired lawyer can jump up and down while screaming to the roof tops that she had the right, but we don’t and won’t accept that. Teresa should be shunned and ridiculed by society at large. That’s how we stop the evil that she perpetuates.
What really frosts my cookies is that there are so many people unemployed out there through no fault of their own who are struggling to get their kids back to school on the most stringent of budgets and this @sshole is parading around without a care in the world being celebrated for spending money even after declaring bankruptcy. It is obscene.
She is being treated as if she had something to offer and what that is escapes me. This is a woefully uneducated woman who has spent the better part of the last two years swindling the public, spending other people’s money, and behaving as if it were perfectly acceptable. We have seen her engaged in violent confrontations, using language that would shock a sailor, and living a life based on a tissue of lies. To continue to invite her to “explain” that the fault lies with others while so many in this country are suffering from economic woes is sinful. That’s actually true…despicable, but true…but only after the bankruptcy has been discharged. From everything I have read over the recent weeks, while the Giudices have filed for bankruptcy, the court has not reached a resolution on the matter. As an attorney, Kridel knows this, so he is being deliberately disingenuous with statements of this type.

makes me wonder too – are they in the Chap 7 or 13 and why is it taking so long to get to final judgement (too many lies, too many hidden assets and income sources coming to light, too many useages of their parents names on property)….it just seems that if you are in bankruptsy mode you need to be worrying about keeping a roof over your head, food on the table and keeping a job! My understanding is not all debt will be absolved and therefore having money ready for that is more important than furnishing a fantasy home that is NOW in foreclosure.
Bravo has shown that it lacks standards when they populate these mind numbing series with swindlers, fakes, drunks, and sleazebags.
The Salahi’s, Danielle Staub, the Guidice’s, and apparently Cat from DC, all seem to come with questionable baggage. Other members of these casts seem to come equipped with some serious emotional issues as well.
This may account for Bravo suggesting that this is what constitutes “drama”, and this may be acceptable if kept within the confines of that one network alone. But when we find these morons popping up all over tv and invited to hawk their wares and “sell” their stories, the line has been blurred between “reality” and integrity on the part of those promoting this trash.
Sonja said that Bravo gives the castwives the platform for other ventures. What Bravo is slowly learning is that their viewers are willing to go along with the wives franchise until those individuals cross lines that are unaceptable to them. Bravo’s definition of drama is not one that is totally embraced by the viewers. Danielle went into the porn market – wives viewers are not interested in porn. Kelly went into a dangerous mental health issue – viewers were disturbed. Teresa is in the very emotionally charged area of personal economics and again viewers are disturbed and angry. RHODC was doomed from the start because of the Salahi’s White House crashing (and it seems that Bravo may have had an active part in that incident) and the general opinion that this was wrong – viewers are reacting in a negative manner to this as well.
Bravo needs to truly research candidates for their franchises – because too many of the housewives are not weatlhy, are not charitable, are not fashionable, are not emotionally or mentally stable or even law abiding individuals. Bottomline -they are not what viewers want to see!
Atlanta is posers heaven, except for Kandi. Jersey is full of criminals, disfunctional families and juvenile behavior. OC has always been meaningless fluff. DC is about power and status and none of them have either. NY came closest to a cast that interested viewers and Bravo picked the brightest apple and cashed in on a successful spin off that left viewers wanting more of what is a housewife to admire.
Maybe firing Danielle is a start but Bravo needs to get rid of a few more – like Kelly and our personal favorite hatewife – Jill!
I think that Jill’s “crime”, besides her nastiness on the show, was that she thought she could control the www. along with the media.

I saw a link today that a judgement was given to a small business that did over 4,000 dollars in special embroidery for Salahi’s polo shirts. You can have all of the judgements that you want and nothing happens to these people. I had a friend who was a lawyer. She got a judgement against another lawyer/realtor for 300,000 dollars. He didn’t pay. She went back to court several times. He just didn’t pay. He has millions of dollars…. 40 million in fact because he is divorcing his wife/my friend and I have seen the numbers. Yet, he didn’t pay the judgement. He told me the only thing that will happen is someday he might be ordered to pay that amount. He keeps the money and interest till that time. It’s a horrible game. Only honest people pay.
BTW… in July he was ordered to turn over document about his assests… It’s Aug… he just didn’t do it. Try divorcing someone like that. His 23 year old girl friend should look out.

I think RHONY needed a retool and with all the other shows in the pipeline Bravo decided to give this one a rest. And they had Bethenny as a filler show that turned into a goldmine. Maybe they will bring NY back but maybe they don’t feel they have to do anything right now.

If the NY daily post is true, then the two Kims are not very smart. Bravo did not pay them for creating drama so they won’t pay them for creating drama next season if they are invited as guests. Does not make any sense to do all that.

The part w/the relatives was the meat of the story, why not pay for it? I’m sure most of the trip was inclusive, BUT Bravo knows as we all know that people can take advantage if given the chance, their must have been a meal allowance (as with any business trip) & they went over it, mini bar usually is NOT included.

When I go on business trips, the airfare and lodging is paid by the company. If we are working through meal times, those meals are paid. Anything outside of work time (other meals, cocktails, mini-bar…) are my personal responsibility. Maybe Joe was surprised to see how much his family and his parents racked up when the camera wasn’t rolling……. The mini-bar seemed to be a real hot spot – no surprise there!
What I don’t understand is why he was flipping out about $1,000 or $2,000 dollars when he was in hawk $11 MILLION. At that point why not tack on another $1,000. It’s not like they’re going to pay for it, just us hardworking taxpayers will be the one to foot the bill….Why get your panties in a bunch Juicy?

I have been following this site for a long time. I have never posted a comment before because everything I had to say had already been said (but better). Love everyone on here.
I’m wondering if they invited Teresa back, at least in part, because of her bankruptcy and auction. They could be hoping to show some of the drama on the show. Let’s face it, they need it. And, if it shouldn’t come to pass, they could be hoping to show her (through careful editing) taking control of her expenses and spending. Like that can happen! It would have to be very good editing.
And, just maybe, they are hoping a blond comes into the equation. Although, I don’t think Joe would leave the kids. It’s cheaper for him to stay there than to pay all that child support. But he is definitely not into his wife! He always looks so pained when she tries for kisses and getting him to say I love you.
What does everyone think about the timing of them being asked back? I thought it wasn’t even thought about until after the show was done. Has anyone in NY been asked back (and their show has been over for a while now)? Why are they being asked back and the reunion hasn’t even aired yet?
I can’t stand Teresa and Joe. I never thought I would find myself watching such white trash. How much do you want to bet that nothing will happen to them? That she will get to keep all of her overpriced tacky stuff. And thanks to Bravo and her pay check, she will be able to get a mortgage for that morgue. You just know that she is going to get more money for being on the show now.

How could anyone be more disgusted by Danielle’s sex tape vs the Giudice Crimes? I could give a rats ass about Danielle she appears to be an Ok Mom and is making money, while I find it sad that a sex tape is all she has to offer I would choose her over the Giudice criminals.
I agree about the sex tapes of Danielle vs crimes of Teresa. I really don’t care if Danielle has sex tapes out there. Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian have sex tapes out there. I do care about Teresa’s crimes. The only thing that I can think of is Andy Cohen had a thing for Dina and she walked. He went to the Kentucky Derby with her. I think she could have bonded with Andy to the degree that he would throw Danielle to the dogs.
There may be issues that we haven’t heard about. Bethenny, who might know, said that Danielle was more dangerous than Kelly in a conversation with Andy on WWHL. It would be fun to send in some of our spies to the nail parlors and hair salons of Wayne, NJ., for a little private investigation of our own.

I saw the tape. I’m not a real porn aficionado but I found it to be very voyeuristic-more so than other amateur porn I’ve seen.

I love it! Now Chewy has managed to publicly insult Joy Behar and George Lopez – great media strategy.. She seems astounded and infuriated that her talk show bookings are aimed at calling her out or poking fun at her. What else would she bring to the table? I think her perception of herself is way different than the public’s perception of her…

I think, if you are wondering why Joe was complaining about spending $1,000, you have to consider the timing.
When that episode was filmed, Joe knew what the rest of us didn’t yet – that he and Theresa had just filed for bankruptcy. He also knew that the news was going to become public shortly. What he didn’t expect was that the bankruptcy was going to hit so many snags, or that his former business partner was going to cry foul and, in the process, expose so much of Joe and Theresa’s grifting patterns.
Joe’s machinations are transparent here – in recent episodes, he’s repeatedly whining about money that Theresa is spending, snapping at Theresa, looking grim about Theresa’s spending, etc etc. I honestly think he was trying to forth the image of the hardworking contractor who had sudden financial reverses because of the economy and who doesn’t want to burden his extravagant wife with reality, because she “doesn’t know” how bad things have gotten, but also wants to reign her in, so he can look like an honest guy trying to get his family back to living within their means.
This is in keeping with Theresa pretending that Joe “didn’t tell her” about their ‘misfortune’, and their attempt to portray themselves as honest, hard working Americans who got screwed by a shady business partner.
Course, no one is buying it, in the wake of recent revelations, but Joe had no one of knowing all of those revelations were going to come out between the time of the filming and the airing of the recent episodes.
I’ve been thinking the same thing for awhile now. Puttin’ on the not so Ritz act to stave off any bad publicity. At the baby party, he was lighthearted about it. In Italy, his frustration was in high gear.
I do also believe none of the other attendees at said party or trip were privy to the secret lives of Joe and Teresa scheming, stiffing, grifting.
I believe his business partner began his lawsuit against the Giudice’s 4 or 5 days before they filed for bankruptcy. Thats why they filed at that time, at least I think I have my timeline right…
And I agree with Squirrels that the rest of the “family” didn’t know about their financial predicament

Somehow, I saw that coming. She will happen to be in the hotel and casino when the girls take the trip the Atlantic City. She will happen to be parked under an umbrella when the girls walk along the Jersey Shore. She will be in the restaurants, hair salons, nail salons, and brothels at the precise time the girls or Chris Manzo visit. Why should Bravo hire Kim G when she will pay for parties, trips, any thing that might get her into the show with out a salary from Bravo. It’s kinda like getting free milk from a cow. Why buy the cow?
She will be a bridesmaid at the wedding. Gia’s dialogue coach. A waitress at the pizza parlor. Trashley’s tatoo artist. Joe’s beard. The hatcheck girl at the Brownstone. Albie’s study partner. Jacqueline’s AA buddy. Dina’s animal groomer. Caroline’s pooper picker upper.
The list is endless and the areas of her “talent” are ever extending. Fire up the cameras, she will be there!

Truth to tell, I think Elle MacPherson is pretty…she epitomizes the surfer girl clean look that Kelly tries so hard to emulate. With differences, of course.

I know I have a 15 yr old and a 4 yr old. They need to be kept busy!
She claimed in the fight before lunch episode the girls took dance and gymnastics, which perked my ears. Milania would definitely be a coach’s worst nightmare in the 3yr old class. Kids like that not only refuse direction, they distract and upset the other kids. Nothing gets accomplished. Gymnastics is deeply rooted in self discipline. When the students are young, it’s equally important if for no other reason that to keep them safe.
I was thinking, okay hoping(!), that these kids could require some discipline through these activities.
My son, 4, is a terror. Or I thought so until I saw her kids. It actually made me grateful and to realize mine was a0k. I try to keep active.
T is an awful mother. She does not engage her kids. Someone mentioned in here that she treats them like her personal barbie dolls and they were right on.
Four year olds have unlimited energy and limited attention spans to begin with – preschool and kindergarten usually settle them down because they all need and want boundries.
Teresa doesn’t have the time or patience to get Milania ready to be in peer group settings – it shows all season! Gia is the oldest and has outside the family interests, Gabriella is the quietest/helpful one, Milania is wild because she is allowed to be – and the baby is still an accessory baby barbie doll.

Maybe there is some truth to talk of her getting her own show. It would explain why her ex is now pushing for custody. I don’t like her but I don’t want the rest of the NJ cast to think they won. They don’t deserve to think they are better her. They are all hot messes in their own way.

I think there’s no doubt Danielle wants her own show and has been trying to get one. There’s a big gap between trying and getting.
Her ex doesn’t need custody to keep their younger child off any show. He can just refuse to sign the release. If he’s indeed trying to get custody, there are plenty reasons he could use from just the recent public past. Like D’s sex tape, consorting with known felons, etc.
And considering his businesses are suffering it will be lots cheaper to have Jillian with him than pay custody to Danielle (and since he directly pays the schools the judge might think so too).
This is why I love Sonja, she calls it like it. I do not think she is a fan of Patti Skanker.

I absolutely don’t understand keeping Teresa on the NJ Housewives. Joe doesn’t look happy about being on TV. He is our only hope.
On the bright side, now that the auction’s been postponed, maybe Bravo will film the auction of their household goods.
Honestly, I think he’d continue on with the show for his wife’s paycheck. She surely would require a substantial raise though, in order to stave off foreclosure proceedings.

Yes, I’m blocked by Kelly and Jill (just to name a few housewives LOL) yet as you’ve seen Kelly still responds and while Jill doesn’t respond directly to me, she does address some of my comments.
It won’t just automatically appear in their timeline though, they would have to search your name or search any tweet with their name in it.
And we all know it’s a good bet that both of them search any tweets with their names….
Friday 8/20 is the day that Juicy is scheduled to appear in Superior Court to appeal the 30 day community service portion of his DWI sentence. From a descent person angle and a PR perspective, this seems ridiculous. Who objects to serving the community, especially with his awful record and deplorable public image?
I’ve never been forced to serve my community, but I imagine community service doesn’t have to be performed on consecutive days. He probably has like 6 months or a year to earn 30 days credit. That’s just over one or two weekends a month. I hope the judge gets irritated at the gall and shallowness of the appeal and tosses him in the clink for 30 days, but somehow I think his lawyer (who’s paying the lawyer?) will get it thrown out or postponed citing “financial hardship” or some such nonsense. One criminal act used as an excuse to avoid punishment for another criminal act. Maddening thought.
P.S. If anyone knows how community service days are spread out and measured, would love more insight. Couldn’t find an answer online.

True Error! Even Kelly used her court-mandated community service at a domestic abuse shelter to TRY and make herself look charitable on the show by positioning it as her choice of service. Can you imagine her, an abuser, working with truly abused women? I can hear her telling them to quit whining with their 1979 feelings… Rambling.. In Lake County Illinois – you are given another court day and must serve your community service hours before the next date. There is a list of possible places that you can serve at – it is your responsibility to make arrangements for working, get there, do the work, get the paperwork signed off on and turned back in on time for the next court date. You can be held in contempt if you don’t do them all and you can get thrown in jail if you don’t do them.
I grew up in Antioch.
Thanks Windy! Seems pretty flexible and up to the individual to make it work around their work and family schedules by the deadline. It would be the best thing for Juicy and his image if he did something in service of others. He won’t (unless forced).

A month before filing bankruptcy the Gs ordered almost $22K in furnishings from a shop. (The trustee had to get a subpoena to get the info from the vendor.) And then paid off about half of the bill days before filing bankruptcy.
The Gs spent another approx total of $60K on furnishings within 60 days of filing. This is only what the trustee knows about and only recently learned from documents the Gs attorney filed with the court to try to stop the auction.
What was he thinking? That this money was made after the bankruptcy so she had every right to spend it? Didn’t he know that the viewers would think that they should pay some f”n bills? That we are sick of picking up the slack for grifters like them.
I get it now. I’m doing it all wrong! I’m supposed to rack up all the debt I can, hide my money, lie about how much I have and make, lie about how much I will make, declare bankruptcy and then shop like hell.
That’s why I live in a normal sized house, drive a toyota, and vacation…what vacation!
As I noted before, the Gs appeared to view filing for bankruptcy as their “get out of debt for free” card.
They continued to spend exorbitantly even as they knew their house of cards was crumbling….multiple outstanding loans, millions in debt and still they spent more on discretionary items. Then they filed for bankruptcy and kept on with their exorbitant spending with hardly a pause.

Hi everyone!
Last week was busy busy busy and Bobby, Ally and I had so much fun meeting those of you who could make it to my appearances in Las Vegas and Los Angeles!
The Sugar Factory appearance in Las Vegas was so much fun and we were overwhelmed with the turnout. We are truly grateful to all of you who took time out of your busy schedules to stop by and say hello! Here is a link to a fun video from the event http://blog.sugarfactory.com/?p=242. After the Sugar Factory it was off to Borders for my book signing where I got the chance to meet more of my amazing Las Vegas fans.
Los Angeles was up next and Bobby, Ally and I were invited to stay at Charlie Chaplain’s former Estate in Hollywood. It is now called The Charlie Hotel and was a very cool place to stay. While in Los Angeles, I was beyond honored that the famous Book Soup on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood asked me to do a book signing. It was great to finally meet my awesome Los Angeles fans. I even filmed a cameo in a very funny project that I will talk more about in my next newsletter.
We finally made it back to New York City last Thursday and I was so happy to see my Ginger! On Friday we were off again, this time to the Hampton’s for The Hampton’s Author’s Night Out event on Saturday that benefited The East Hampton Library. Check out the photos I posted from the event below! I was happy to help the library raise money because as we wrote in our book, it is very important for Mommy, Lisa and I to donate part of the proceeds from the sale of “Secrets of a Jewish Mother” to charity. In addition to the library, so far we have donated a portion of the book sales to The Go Red For Women Heart Foundation, Breast Cancer Emergency Foundation and Jordon River Camp.
We still have two more book signings this month in Florida and I look forward to meeting those of you who can make it! Here are the details:

In regards to Theresa Italian, I suspect it’s probably as poor as her English skills.
I noticed that her blog title reads Ciao Bello, which would be fine if she was talking to a man. I asked my mother in law about it, and she said if T was addressing mixed company she should have said Ciao Bellissime and without having ever watched the show she said “She must be from Naples”. Apparently, other Italians think the language spoken there as ‘gutter slang’.
