I Hate Jill Zarin What’s Going on Jill Zarin? June 30, 2010
Does it anger you when people in the public eye try to get one over on you? When politicians or corporate executives put out statements trying to sway public opinion? Movie and Television studio’s release garbage and tell you that it’s gotten “Rave Reviews”? Later you find out the “rave review” is from an unknown, made up media outlet. Even movie, television and radio personalities will sometimes try to release statements to make themselves look better when they have clearly done wrong! They’re not above lying and twisting the truth.
The public is oftentimes treated as if we’re stupid, don’t you think so? It irritates me to no end. When I find out the truth behind some of these lies, I want to get the word out to unsuspecting people who may not have heard the truth or just may not have had the time to have gotten all the facts straight. It sometimes shocks me when I read comments or tweets from people who buy into this nonsense.
One thing that I know for sure, I’m not stupid and people who read my blog are not stupid!
Maybe some of you have seen the new names that have popped up all over the internet including Twitter, Facebook and commenters on internet blogs and articles. These “trolls” as I call them, are supporting Jill Zarin and ripping apart Alex McCord and Simon VanKempen .
There are maybe 5-6 different names out there on Twitter, for example, who are harassing Alex / Bethenny fans and supporting Jill. It is my belief that there are one or possibly two people behind this entire campaign. I also believe that Jill Zarin is behind it, it is her “people” masquerading as RHONY fans. Let’s look at the facts and you’ll see how I came to this conclusion.
All of these new accounts appeared on Twitter at exactly the same time. All of them follow each other on Twitter. All of them have the exact same writing style. All of them attack Alex and Bethenny’s supporters with the vicious writing of extreme hate. All of them attack Alex and Simon using excerpts from their book, Little Kids, Big City. All of these trolls use similar numbers in their names, most do not reveal where they live, those that do reveal where they live, claim to live in NYC. These trolls do not tweet at the same time. These trolls will attack Bethenny’s fans, but never Bethenny, yet they do go after Alex and Simon. These trolls have been just recently posting positive reviews on Amazon.com for Jill Zarin’s book (luckily Amazon has some pretty smart people and have removed them) I have come to the conclusion as most of you have, that there is one person behind all of this and it is Jill Zarin!
Where were these people all season while Jill was getting hammered in the press, on Twitter, on Facebook and on Amazon? They sat back all season while their hero was lambasted then waited until the season ended to come out and defend Jill Zarin?
As explained to me, after the final episode of RHONY aired on Bravo, the ongoing research of the cast’s popularity continues and intensifies. Bravo looks at blogs, articles, Twitter and Facebook followers. They watch their Bravotv.com site to see who’s getting the most attention, they have their own star system for photos and videos for fans to click. Bravo wants to know who we (the fans) like and who we don’t, who we are talking about and who we’re ignoring. Now is the time for the fans to be heard, now is when Bravo can see who we support and who we hope never to see again and they are listening to us.
So what better time for Jill Zarin to pull her ace in the hole? She’s trying to flood the internet with her own supporters. Of course she’s deleting any negative comments on her blog, she doesn’t want Bravo’s researchers to see anything negative about her. Jill wants her golden apple back next season so badly she can taste it! We haven’t seen a whole flock of new supporters for Alex or Bethenny, not for Sonja or Ramona or even Luann. Only Jill’s “new” supporters have come out of the woodwork in support of the most hated housewife in history. Suddenly Jill is quiet and hasn’t said anything about her cast mates?
So I ask you all, do you feel like Jill thinks we’re all stupid? Do you think that Jill is trying to manipulate fans of RHONY? Do you feel like Jill is attempting to stack the deck in her favor? Does it infuriate you the way it does me? I certainly hope that Bravo’s research team are smarter than Jill Zarin and have the sense of Amazon’s team. I can see right through this stunt that Jill is trying to pull. What do you all think?
I have just one thing to say to Jill Zarin, we are NOT stupid and we still hate you! (ok that’s two things)

I think Bravo interacts with Jill Zarin daily and they know Jill. Bravo’s goal is to make money so Jill will be back even if the entire world hates them Kathy Griffin has affended 99.99% of the planet’s Human population and her D list has a time slot. Being mean sells.
I see people like Jill in the real world. I avoid them like the plague.
Jill is the NYC equivalent of Danielle. She creates her own reality where someone is supposed to play a role and say the words that she wants them to say. When individuals say, “No,” to Jill she freaks out and goes on the attack. That’s what is happening with facebook, twitter, and her dot com.
Luckily for me, I am a microbiologist/immunologist and I know how to deal with the plague: identify, isolate, and use plague destroying antibiotics to destroy the infection. I think this blog is doing an excellent job in all three of these tasks.
Jill, you are Yersinia pestis. There Lynn, Jill is going to be horrified when she reads this. rotfl.
DO NOT compare Jill Zarin to Kathy Griffin! Kathy might offend people as many comedians do she is not mean spirited like Jill. I love Bethenny but she is no Kathy. Kathy is straight up a comedian with no other agenda than to make you laugh. Jill wants attention and doesn’t know how to be a friend and worst of all is conniving.
Yeah, D-List was a bad example. Maybe Kell on Earth, or Hell’s Kitchen? Shows where the main star being a totally asinine excuse for a human makes it popular.
But, as that awful photo show after D-List ( double exposure?) proves, bad people fighting about nothing for an entire hour can be ZZzzzzzzzz too.
Kathy Griffin is an equal opportunity offender. That’s her schtick…Jill is completely different. Kathy is upfront about what she does. Jill is a weasel and goes behind your back.
Quincy, I love reading your post but Kathy Griffin is funny. In no way does is she mean and hurt the people that work with her or her friends. Sometimes she is does make fun of celebrities but honestly they are the ones that put themselves out there and she just points it out to us.
The D-List is now in its 6th season. People still want to see Kathy because she makes us laugh.
No one wants to see Jill.
Insult humor has been around for a long time. Don Rickles and Joan Rivers are good examples. Kathy Griffin also pokes fun at herself a lot.
I don’t know that JZ is the *equivalent* of Danielle. Jill is just annoying, but I’m not afraid of her. I am afraid of Danielle. Jill only surrounds herself with freaks like Paris Hilton, not mob-connected people on parole who make implied threats to harm or kill others.
Jill does not have the talent, wit or humor to be a Kathy Griffin or a Bethenny. During Season 1, all she did was steal Bethenny’s quips and many times tried to pass them off as her own. This season, she tried to claim she was just “trying to be funny like Bethenny” which was totaly BS. She was being insulting and meant it each time. Kathy G and Bethenny both have sharp tongues, but ultimately they always redeem themselves as people who are kind at heart and are vulnerable themselves. Jill cries almost on cue with crocodile tears to either avoid confrontation or try to gather sympathy, and Jill lies about everything she says and does until she is cornered. Kathy G and Bethenny are ALWAYS upfront about what they have said and will own up to it each time. I don’t think there is any comparison between these women and Jill, including the fact that Bethenny and Kathy G. HAVE REAL JOBS AND SUPPORT THEMSELVES!!! Perhaps people should be telling Jill not to get a hobby (we already know what her hobby is: shopping and manipulating Bawby for more jewelry), but to get an actual JOB! It seems like she has too much time on her hands.
Sorry, luv, but you could not be more wrong about Kathy Griffin. She’s fantastically funny and very, very popular. Comparing her to Jill Zarin is like comparing water to a stone—Jill’s the stone….a stone cold beeeatch!

It is a pathetic hobby, and sad, but this latest frenzied attempt to paint herself in a new light has actually made me feel pity towards her. Which is odd, because I do still hate her at the same time.

i.e. her husband said ‘me or the show’…in my humble opinion. I am pretty sure if she doesn’t return, it’s because either Bravo didn’t ask her to, or her husband gave her an ultimatum.
Lynn, you can tell if the troll is one person by grammar and spelling. Jill is almost illiterate. She writes like a fish monger from that smelly district in Manhattan. I don’t have the time to monitor the tweets or posts that you suspect are from Jill, but someone could keep a file and do an analysis of the writing style.
My youngest child is a computer guy. The websites that this suspect troll writes too will be picking up their computer address. It’s obvious that Jill is not a genius when it comes to computers and it should be possible to trap her. It’s amazing that she would blame fans of the show for the threats to A Chandler on Amazon when the evidence pointed directly to her account of many years. If a flying monkey minion did that, Jill should consider paying more than minimum wage and hiring someone who knows what they are doing when it comes to the internet.

I believe that Jill is irrational like Danielle and Ashley. She will carry her behaviors to the net and she will show her true nature.
This “new” troll is J. Samples, again. He said he didn’t care about jill’s book sales rankings–it’s all about Alana. He’s sick in the head and really going off the deep end because Amazon slammed him down.
If anybody has some time today, maybe email Alana (email is found on her Amazon page) or stop by her comments sections and post a word of support. She’s a strong lady, but this would wear on anybody, I’m sure. 🙂
I think Alana should pursue legal channels for a cease and desist order. Hopefully she will soon unless Amazon finally zaps his account.
From reading Alana’s tweets she is getting hammered by these Jill supporters. It’s disgusting really. There is complete proof that Jill is Susan Saunders and her minions are trying to obliterate good people like Alana, Alex and Simon and any fan of Alex, Simon and/or Bethenny.
Jill is very telling. When Bethenny got engaged she felt she couldn’t be mean to Bethenny because she knew it would look bad if she was nasty to Bethenny. Then Bethenny was pregnant and then Jill would REALLY look bad if she went after B. Jill didn’t want to be friends. No, she wanted to preserve her image. So now Jill has her minions go after Bethenny fans. Does she not get that people will dislike Jill even more because of this behavior. Lord, a narcissist to the core.

Well Bethenny…while you were devestated and in shock over the hijinks of the cretin, it was this blog and it’s followers the plastered every single comment section of every single interview and article given by Jill Zarin.
It was the I hate jill zarin people that brought her down. You don’t think it was the bravo blogs do you? They were intent on maintaining balance week after week while people sat in their homes witnessing some of the most abhorrent behavior they’ve ever witnessed in their lives.
We know that you got out and have your own show, however Jill has a new target in her sights. She has tried to get Simon fired from his real job. So forgive us Bethenny if some do not view Jill as benign a tumor on civilized society as you can afford to do so now.
Yes, I do believe your utilizing the term “I hate jill zarin” twice now is a shout out to Lynn. And I understand that it may be better pr for you to take the high road now. However, you can stay on the high road while stating facts simply and clearly as Alex and Simon have. You are not attacking the person, you would be commenting or factually stating the behavior.
Excellent point. The title of the blog is for “Shock and Awe.” One blogger reviewed this site and said that the discussions were tame and very Midwestern in tone. I think you can do more good on the planet by being rational and consistent. Jill believes that if you shout something loud enough it becomes the truth. Diogenes would have a great time stepping over Jill Zarin.

You know that I’m a huge Bethenny fan but you have a really great point here! Bethenny had no problem with the “I Hate Jill Zarin” people when she was the one being attacked. She’s now suggesting that we back down because she’s out of the line of fire. What about Alex and Simon? Now that Jill has focused her vile hatred on them, we should back down? Sorry Bethenny, I love you and all but I’m not going to let Alex take the hits anymore than I let you take them.
I think Bethenny is shell shocked from her battle with Jill, Kelly and Luann. She wants it all to disappear. Remember, she is a damaged child and she runs away from confrontation in order to survive. She is so busy with her career and baby that I hope everyone cuts her some slack. Bethenny is surviving in NYC. Thank goodness Bethenny found love and some people that care about her. She said it on WWHL after show. She also commented that she believed much of anger towards Jill was on her (Bethenny’s) behalf.
That is why I think Bethenny said “enough now”. She has stepped away from the Jill war and doesn’t want it continued by her fans.

I see it the same way. I think that B. just wants to close the door completely on Jill. That may be fine for B. and I get it. BUT I do think that Jill needs to be held responsible for her reprehensible behavior towards Alex and Simon. Silex are REAL people with REAL feelings, REAL children and REAL jobs. I could not agree more. What worries me about next season is Jill going after Alex. I’m not going to sit through episode after episode with Jill going after her. Now that Alex is in the frame of mind to defend herself, I can see Jill’s fans grabbing that and running with it, claiming that she’s “psychotic” (something Jill was already setting up this past season). I’m glad that Alex is defending herself, but I don’t want it to look like she’s coming down to Jill’s level. As long as she sticks to defending herself and not creating the conflict, she should be fine, and I think she’s smart enough to know that. Still, I’m pretty sure I’m not going to make it through another whole season of Jill out to get somebody.
Bethenny clearly has moved on with her life. According to recent interviews, she still has not gotten together with Jill and said Jill is not in her life. Despite the tears at the end of the reunion, I don’t think she ever went out to lunch with Jill, or that Jill has been invited over to see the baby.
Honestly I think B is just tired of even hearing the name Jill and being asked about where they stand, because she has moved on. She only made remarks about laying off Jill after other people kept bringing it up.
I get irked when I hear anyone talk about the “war” between Bethenny and Jill. Bethenny was never “at war” with Jill. It was all one-sided on Jill’s part, Bethenny tried to appease Jill after she flipped out, and Jill rejected her time and time again until B was just worn out. It could be a JZ fan or fans but you should do some research on internet trolls. This is very typical. Trolls love to attack forums and chat rooms. Its a form of entertainment for them. The higher profile the forum the more they enjoy it.
Go to any city on Topix to see how trolls operate. Their sole purpose is to disrupt legitimate discussions. They love to hijack the site and drive off regular visitors. There are online troll communities where they talk about their activities. Trolls are very computer savvy. They won’t be caught through an IP address.

Jill has turned her once golden apple status rotten. You absolutely know she convinced Kelly to go to USVI so she could get all to “gawwwsup” and continued to provoke her each time Krazy Kelly called from there.
I was proud to be a NY housewife as I truly believe it was the best of the HW franchize. If it comes back with Jill and Krazy Kelly I will NOT watch. The show is no longer entertaining because of them. I have tweeted @bravoandy, @bravotv, posted on message boards etc… this very message and will continue to do just that until they decide NOT to bring them back.
I wonder if it was Jill who “forced” kelly to go to the VI? Maybe she told Kelly some wild story and said kelly had to go?

IMO Jill feed her enough stuff to make her want to go even though she didn’t really want to go. Kelly’s agent likely told her to go as well. Remember, Kelly does what she is told to do and she trusts Jill and her agent. When the reality of what she walked into and her ability or lack of ability to deal with a situation that isn’t what she wants it to be hit her – she lost it, she was removed and she was told to blame Bravo!
Even an idiot could see that if Jill and LuAnn were not going then it wasn’t a forced trip!

I was horrified to see how truly ugly—inside and out—Jillz was at the reunion. Her face was contorted into the face of a rabid fox….frightening in it’s ugliness….such a reflection of her rotten and fulminating heart. Run, Bawby, run!
Very ugly! Notice how she called Alex a liar right before she admitted to calling Alex and telling her not to film with Bethenny! She then immediately apologized to Bethenny, yet never once apologized to Alex for calling her a liar. She even tried to wrangle her way out of her comments about Alex at Brooklyn Fashion week, she says it came out wrong but never apologized.
When she contorts her face like that she is truly ugly! That has to be embarassing for her whole family, Mom, sis, hubby and daughter.
It’s pathetic that she has devoted her time to waging a “war” via the internet, Tweets, blogs, and Facebook to maintain a presence on a make believe “reality” show. How desperate she must be to preserve a place on a series that does not feature talent as much as it does a group of women basically involved in doing nothing but shop, gossip, visit plastic surgeons, and attend fashion shows. Because this is essentially what it all boils down to in the end. A group of women, loosely connected, pretending to be “friends” and who offer little beyond their personalities.
She chooses to do this by offering criticisms of castmembers who she cites as her enemies. If I had the wherewithal to be able to vacation all summer on Long Island I know I would not hesitate to enjoy the bounties her wealth affords her but yet she seems to be devoting much of her spare time on her Blackberry continuously “tweeting” absolute strangers in her campaign to remain viable. Can she get anymore pathetic than this?
I have never witnessed anything more bizarre than the castmembers of these various franchises who have been given a taste of “make believe fame” who are more than willing to sell their souls, integrity, and their own families in order for a chance to be featured on t.v. even if it means they are showcased in the worst possible light.
If I had to read the sarcasm, mocking, and the daily comments aimed at my behavior I would not be able to function. Yet these women are on a continual campaign to return for more of the same just to be considered a “celebrity” of sorts.
They say that cocaine is the most addictive of drugs but I honestly believe that the chance to become a “celebrity” is more powerful as Jill Zarin has proven. She will let nothing stand in her way and if it means taking down another person to achieve that goal she has managed to show that she is quite capable of doing so.

Why is it Alex’s responsibility to disavow an “I Hate Jill Zarin” group? I hate to weigh in yet again, but the women who were cast on the NYC show, with the exception of Bethenny Frankel and Alex McCord were really largely all part of the same network of people in New York City and hence had a greater support network, more friends in the social media and the mainstream media etc. On a one on one level I have never had any issue with Jill, but in my opinion, I think if you were using “The Real Housewives of New York City” to create a brand to market yourself to the world at large, Jill has made herself a caricature of an angry, selfish, manipulative New Yorker. She became the villain of the show, almost like a Tony Soprano of The Real Housewives of NYC, with an effort to get all roads to run through Team Jill Zarin. If you watched the Soprano’s or The Godfather Trilogy you should know, sometimes the don gets whacked, forces align against them etc. Although there is money to be made in the Villain Brand, it may close doors to other opportunities as well. Jill, however, could always appear at The WWF in a Smack down match of all the Bravo Real Housewives with hot tempers (see: Danielle Staub, Jill Zarin, Teresa Giudice, Nene Leakes). But in society and charity circles in New York City and with the charitable community, Alex’s calm earthy demeanor will serve her well and make her a most welcome VIP Guest/Host/Co-Chair. TRUTH is that I think some are envious that Alex McCord’s Civility ends up being the best brand to emerge from RHONY.

Having read up stream as you suggested, I find that the points you make are extremely valid and in that regard I think you are quite fair in pointing out that my portrayal of Jill Zarin was overly flattering for presenting a rather “incomplete” picture. Truth told however, covering charity and philanthropy at times is like navigating a mine field. As one of the few Society Editors who takes many or most of his own photos (with the assistance of a small team) and is invited into the trust of people’s private sanctuaries, I do hold back a little, I often listen with my eyes and observe things which bother, frustrate and annoy me. Some aspects of this circuit are a show, a fantasy a fun night out for people who are far more affluent than I am. Other times I get to cover some of America’s top business and political leaders as well as the most generous and highly philanthropic people in America, have a cocktail, a brief chat with them, learn about their life’s work and take their photos. It is fascinating. I never ask for autographs or anything like that. I consider it a moment with history. We are talking about people who have endowed museums, hospitals, endowed foundations etc and have literally changed or improved the fabric of our society and changed the course of human history and it humbles me. In fact, those experiences are primarily the reason I keep doing it. Yet, I have also written about “The Society Show”, questioning how the game is played, the role players, publicists and image makers create environments where all too often the word Philanthropist is thrown about all so easily or attached to someone who merely uses their alleged philanthropic deeds to improve their social brand or standing or to gain access to a pot of gold. In my defense, when I hear about or see a lot of the stuff that goes on behind the scenes, and the so called charity hustle you referred to accurately above, I genuinely want to turn a blind eye to it. I try to focus my energies when I write about the philanthropic under current to focus on the positive, less so the hustlers but in the era of Bernie Madoff, Ken Starr et al etc. its getting harder to do. So my ignoring the hustle of Jill Zarin or others, or taking playful digs while stopping at labeling them a total fraud does not mean I am unaware that often some folks have done things to cross the line like pushing their way into certain events so that they are the ones who get “The Press” from being scene patronizing a particular charity and in essence sucking out all the glory from the event or otherwise behaving like a “Chaza” demanding concessions from retailers and small business owners. But we are living in strange times, and even major cultural organizations in NYC want any kind of celebrities, stars, politicians, gossip girls, real housewives, whomever to attend their events, walk the red carpet because it gets those local events on Television or in pop cultural media. So yes, that I have met some of the greatest philanthropists of our time, folks who have helped establish, sustain and maintain some of the most important and vital institutions, and have found that they are often humble, barely want to be photographed, and will all too gladly step aside for a pretty girl to be photographed because she is wearing a Zac Posen dress and is on some cheesy TV show, or someone who has done so little is interviewed so that they can hock Diet Chocolate, yeah it troubles me. And in the end, when you behave like a Chaza and are in the game of life taking more than you give whether from retailers, soliciting freebee’s etc. it does come back to bite you in the ass more than any blog Chris London could ever write. So getting back to my point, I do not think Alex McCord needed anyone’s advice, because of the manner in which she has conducted herself off screen and on, she can hold her head high in any situation in New York City, whereas I think in these revolutionary times, others may face a less forgiving public and perhaps suffer the same fate, socially speaking, of Marie Antoinette. While I am reluctant to condemn Jill Zarin, I can safely say, that most people I know feel that she and Kelly Bensimon have done the most damage to their reputations from having been on that show, unless they decided to go the route of Danielle Staub. America does love them some crazy people. To quote a friend, who was far more critical of my blog on Jill Zarin, “Who the f__k would buy a book called “Secrets of a Jewish Mother’ from such a mean spirited JAPPY Chaza?”
Now…this guy is not a part of NYC Society, he chronicles it. He does go to many of the events and remains humble and in his place. He does not behave like a synchopant or seek to insert himself in any way. He is well liked by the real movers and shakers and is always welcome to charity events because of his demeanor. He is telling us of The Downfall of Jill Zarin!
Oh, he is also telling us of the acceptance Alex and Simon are receiving due to their Hard Work with Charity and their Demeanor, Intelligence, Sensitivity.
This is why Jill is MEEEEELTING like the Wicked Witch of the West.
When I read this kind of analysis, it makes me believe that there is hope for Humanity. Using charity to brand Zarin Fabrics was shocking to me. Thinking that you can get others to donate $100,000 and that was your contribution as was discussed in the meeting at Jill Zarin’s condo was shocking to me too. Who thinks that way?
Well, I guess Danielle does believe that bringing people to a fundraiser with no tickets purchased and having a friend donate $300 makes Danielle a donor also. It doesn’t make sense to me, but in Jill and her equivalent housewive in NJ, that is the way to go.

I like the whole comment but particularly the line about “taking more than you give.”
I am ducking as I write this, but I don’t think that all these trolls are Jill, or even “directed” by Jill. I think most of this is the work of one or two crazy fans. No matter how many names or accounts he/she or it opens, the writing style is the same, but I don’t think it is the same as Jill’s. I think she “unleashed” these fans on her blog, but I don’t think she had any idea how badly they would represent her. Edie Stone/Beach Mom, Palmer2007 etc etc etc is a lunatic.
For one thing, Jill is a money hungry woman and the fact that the most recent (until today) round of bullying on Amazon resulted in the sales of her book dropping dramatically would have kept her from doing it again. Secondly, there are word choices that I cannot imagine coming out of her mouth – could she even pronounce “dilettante” much less know what it means?
The craziness of the Amazon stuff amazes me. From last week’s cutting and pasting to today’s attack on Alana by the crazy ” doctor”, I can only shake my head.

I agree. Even Casey Anthony has “fans” who are willing to post money to her jail account and have even offered to marry her regardless of the evidence that points squarely to her guilt. Maybe not, but she encourages them with her comments. She talks about unleashing her fans on us and there use to be a fan on her FB (Anthony something) who was just nasty, but she never deleted his comments though she would those that weren’t praising her. I do not give myself too much credit and I know for a fact that Jill Zarin knows I exist. She certainly does not care about my well being if that is what you mean. But this isn’t about me! This is about Jill attacking cast mates. This is about Jill’s underhanded tactics to ensure her place on the show and tryin to get others kicked off the show.
Why would Jill do it now? Did you read the blog? Now is the most critical time for Jill, Bravo is deciding on next season’s cast NOW. She has double the amount of followers as WHOM? Jill Zarin CRAVES attention, she would go to the opening of a letter if her photo would appear in a blog, she sends press releases about a shopping trip with her daughter to a blogger along with two proposed text insertions. She would take a photo with a barracuda if it would get her on Page 6. She doesn’t need attention? Have you been paying attention?

Jill Zarin should not be on RHONY next year for a mirad of reasons.
The three main ones are 1)she is an insubordinate employee of Bravo/Shed Media – by her sort of admission and other cast members confirming the “Don’t Shoot with Bethenny” Campaign. 2)going after another castmember (ALEX) and her husband (SIMON) regarding old photographs that Alex had no control over being published that were taken at her husbands place of work. And 3) disrupting Amazon.com business with an attack on a respected reviewer and turning the review section for her book into a mudslinging blog.
We watch and read about characters similar to Jill Zarin everyday. That is fiction. What Jill Zarin, the person, has done is not. She should be 1)fired, 2)sued for liable with damages awarded and 3)sued and her book dropped from this business’ offerings!
And for the last time: I don’t hate the person Jill Zarin because I don’t know her personally. But I do HATE JILL ZARIN who is portraited on RHONY because she is a mean spirited, lying, and nasty natured woman, whom I would rather not see on my television or on the show next year.
Jill is not an employee of Bravo or Shed Media. They are independent contractors.
As far as the “don’t shoot with Bethenny” drama, Bethenny herself admitted that she told the others not to shoot with Kelly during Season 2. So, this is clearly a tactic that is used pretty frequently.
The Alex nude photos are old news. Nobody cares. If Simon didn’t get fired from his job after the photos were actually released a year ago, what exactly would get him fired now, after Jill’s outburst? It was a cheap blow from Jill, but let’s be real — he is not going to get fired over it.
The Amazon stuff was lame, but again: no one at Bravo cares what these bitches do off screen. It wasn’t even mentioned at the reunion despite the fact that the story got picked up by multiple outlets.
Jill attemted to harm Simon and Alex’s family by bringing up the photos and lying about the location that the photos were taken. If her plan didn’t succeed is getting Simon fired, she certainly tried her best to destroy them.
I fully agree with your analysis, Lynn. This same troll tried to pick a fight with me on Twitter yesterday and ended up revealing himself (accidentally) as the same troll that has been harassing the Amazon discussion. I am not sure if Jill is directly involved, but she certainly knows it is going on and is making no attempt to stop it. That is one of the many reasons her credibility is in the toilet right now.

I don’t believe JZ has anything to do with the trolls posts. But I do think she should publicly denounce what they/he/she is doing. By keeping quiet about it she is tacitly approving of the actions. She must think it benefits her somehow. Which just proves how stupid she is!
Well let me add this because you’re not alone in thinking that Jill may not be directly involved. I should have included this in the blog but forgot.
Jill has be sending private (DM) messages to many people on Twitter. I have had at least 7 people tell me that she’s sent them private DM’s saying that unless they stop following me, she will block them and she did because all 7 refused to stop following me. That is only 7 that I am aware of, how many did she DM that followed her directions, unfollwed me and stayed in Jill’s good graces?
If Jill would take the time to DM my followers for that reason, I certainly think she’s capable of DMing a few of her more over the top, overly excited fans to do her a small “favor” by creating a few fake names and harassing people on Twitter, Facebook and on Amazon.
Remember too that Jill has no qualms about creating havoc on Amazon, she is pissed as can be at them for allowing Alana Chandler’s review to become a complete fiasco and allowing thousands of anti-Jill comments to appear there. Remember she said Alana’s review has become a hate blog….Jill would be happy to cause chaos on Amazon.
Jill has done it herself using the Susan Saunders fake identity, she would have no qualms about inciting others to cause havoc. But, that doesn’t mean she’s behind it all, I agree. She does have knowledge of it and said so hereself in her blog post where she talked about unleashing her fans on Lynn and they wouldn’t know what hit them.
Well let’s all give Jill credit for consistency!

I honestly think Jill did something really stupid when she posted that fake name on Amazon and threatened Al. Chandler. But I also think now she would like the whole topic to just fade away. But her trolls are causing the opposite to happen – now more people than ever are interested in what is going on on Amazon. And more people than ever are learning the truth about Jill Zarin and Susan Saunders! Karma is wonderful.
And this cat will continue to spread the message!
Lynn – Please don’t think I’m defending JZ in any way. I agree that she would have no qualms about creating havoc or asking others to do it for her, lol. And she started this whole thing by the Susan Saunders fake review and having her friends also write fake reviews. I think a former jill fan is right when she says JZ is not responsible for ALL of it. But she opened this door so in that sense she is responsible.
It’s a classic case of be careful what you wish for. She wanted fake 5 star revies and she got ’em! But I think J Samples is a troll she can’t control and it is hurting her more than helping her. I still think she needs to make a public statement that she does not condone this sort of thing. And she should tell her fans to desist from engaging in it. Since she doesn’t she must want it to continue. Make no mistake, I still HATE JILL ZARIN!
I completely understand what you’re saying and I think your focus is on the Amazon site. I’m more referring to Twitter, where I can see what is going on and I’m getting DM’s from fans and insiders as well. I don’t think Jill is J.Samples, I never have in fact, I think I wrote that in one of my earlier blogs a while back.
That said, I think Jill approves of what J.Samples is doing. Maybe “approves” is too strong as well, lets put it this way, I don’t think Jill will make a public statement against what is happening on Amazon, she doesn’t like the people at Amazon for allowing Alana Chandler to maintain her review and she is angry that it has turned into an “I hate Jill Zarin” blog all on its own.
Again though, I spend more time on Twitter and I pay attention. 🙂
Yes, Lynn… I think I fully agree with your statement. Except that at least a few of the Twitter names have been linked to Samples, too. Those are the uncontrollable ones that I think Jill is encouraging – she may not be directly behind them but she knows they are there and is amused by them.
I find it funny she likes the fake dog that sucks up to her even though she follows people like you, but others who follow you get blocked. She is such a hypocrite.
I don’t twitter so yeah I was focusing on Amazon. Her telling people not to follow you is just like her telling the other Housewives to not film with Bethenny. Didn’t work out so well for her, lol. I don’t get it. Bravo will recast Jill as the villain? Isn’t this a show about friends? Monica, Rachel, and Pheobe did’nt need a villian to make the show appealing. Who wants to watch a show about a good group and a bad group of people. I found the Kelly, Jill, Countless scenes to be unwatchable. These women are split and not friends with each other. Bethenny,Ramona,Alex, and Sonja are enough. Ofcourse bravo could introduce someone new. Then the show could be a fun escape instead of a disturbing buzzkill.
gotta agree – is Bravo getting the message that a villian is wanted in the housewives franchises? Villians get isolated, there is no interaction with them, they don’t make for good entertainment – look at the RHONJ disaster.

More Jill shennanigans that really should make Bravo think twice…?
The Television Without Pity forum on the NYC housewives that completely shut down in late April – with reasons cited by the moderator: too much gossip talk rather than show talk. But we all know it was right when Amazon.gate broke wide open.
I am still intrigued by this. Come on , Jill, had to do something to make them COMPLETELY shut down the hottest forum, at the height of the wild season #3 – and NEVER to open it back up? She had to have forced Bravo’s hand to do this (Bravo runs/ owns TWoP, right ?).
That said, I am adding to Windy City’s list above for Jill’s employee insubordination – – haven’t they had enough of her? Some employees become too much to manage when they are divas. I think back to Star Jones getting fired from The View even after a long stint on the show. They had enough of her bridezilla diva behavior and fired finally just up and fired her ass.
All this stuff is just so entertaining. The troll activity on Amazon all on behalf of Jill is hysterical cause it’s so obvious. Jill doesn’t like being out of control of her popularity and her image. It’s like nails on a chalkboard. I guess that’s why she’s with Luann. They have control issues in common. Luann wrote a whole book about her version of etiquette and it’s more like trying to control other people’s behavior so that’s it doesn’t get her peeved. It’s all about control with these women. They are grown women who still haven’t figured out that you can’t control people, you can only control your own reaction. That is a fair comment and I own it. I met Jill & Bobby through covering Society and the Charitable circuit in NYC & the Hamptons beginning around 2003. I am, however, not truly close personal friends with any of the women and I doubt any of them consider me a confidante. To the contrary. In terms of their individual persona’s on the “reality show”, some of us who knew these people, on even a rather social and superficial level/sense, impressions were left by their manners or lack thereof off screen. I got to meet Alex & Simon a number of times socially through mutual friends over the last few years at private mixers and charity event. Their off screen demeanor has always been extremely polite, genuine and earnestly communicative. The foregoing being said, the one thing that I am rarely called in this town is a “suck up” largely because I often critique or comment in a way contrary to or in a manner which may undercut the image being crafted by their public relations campaign. We live in an age where offering up any contrary perspective that is critical to someone’s brand is treated by their handlers as hate speech. In a capitalistic society everyone has their own “hustle & flow” but merely playfully questioning it or offering up observations does not mean that you wish these people harm in their personal lives or that you are entrenched in anyone’s particular camp. But sadly as I have experienced, if you say the wrong thing, people get cold and hostile because they think you are messing with their brand, especially if you question someone’s standing as the new or modern Emily Post. My comment about Alex, is her character on the show has evolved not by ostentatious or crazy antics but rather more by consistently illustrating through her manner, style and grace that she is actually rather human, can relate to all types of people and does not have a stick up her ass nor is she pretending to be something she is not and is often forgiving even of those who may not behave in a respectful fashion towards her. Lastly, I am not Micah Jesse or another so called journalist who dreams him/herself of being a Real Housewife on the show. Kissing up to anyone is not going to advance my interests in NYC and yes I have questioned the hustle and flow of Bethenny Frankel and the “Countess” but I think its par for the course when you place yourself in the public eye, but ironically even my negative commentary always offers a link back to their website so I am not that heartless. And lastly in terms of etiquette with regards to charitable affairs, Alex & Simon when I have witnessed their involvement in something, have always done far more than merely show up. In conclusion, I think that Alex McCord conducts herself in a manner more consistent with what Emily Post would call civilized, humane and well mannered. Sadly in our modern society people do not often get as much press, media attention for being a humanistic than they do for being psychotic.

English doesn’t seem to be the trolls native tongue. Today’s claim of having multiple degrees and being a neurologist and an internist and a hospitalist are just nutty. It is a shame that they attack Alana Chandler for simply having written a bad review of a book.
That being said, I respectfully encourage everyone here to not stoop to their level. The joke accounts for the pets are funny, I think, but I would hope that no one would behave as THEY do.
Regarding Christopher London’s comments, perhaps before tweeting them and making them more public it would be polite to discuss it with him? I know they are in the public domain, but I would hate for him to be harmed professionally in any way.
London by profession is an attorney. His charitable interests are his heart and soul. His blogging and commentary are just a hobby.
He is well respected by the Philanthropic Community of which Jill Zarin, Luann and Kelly are NOT a part of and never will be due to their own behaviors…Not Lynn or her posters…It’s all on them…a bitter pill for Jill to swallow. She’d rather blame others than look at herself and the humiliation she has rained down upon herself and her family…a humiliation by the way that will never be forgotten by the people she really aspires to know including London himself. She doesn’t care about Lynn or any of us. We are just vessels that funnel what is already out there.

My pool Kindle is loaded but neglected because of my fasination with exposing a truly dreadful example of the base human being – Jill Zarin.

you ARE making a difference, they’re reading and gettng input from everywhere here, Amazon, Alex’s web site, as well as Jill’s. They read all of the comments that come in to Bravotv.com (even tho they don’t post them all) There is all the other bloggers, AbsurdToSublime, RealOldHouswife, and tons of others, all those that you all post links to here and read and comment on.
That is one of the reasons it is so infuriating when Jill deletes comments (but this is also WHY she does it and I understand why she does it) but you may notice that Alex doesn’t delete comments.

As to A. Chandler – I was here at the beginning of the Susan Saunders’ adventure and can only reiterate, Zarin sent Alana the book unsolicited and REQUESTED she review it. Now why would Zarin do that if she felt uneasy about Alana’s reputation as a fair and impartial judge of literary works? Because Alana is Amazon’s #1 reviewer. She didn’t get there by pulling punches or shmoozing up to F List celeb wannabes.
The fact Ms. Chandler wrote what she honestly felt in her review had Zarin seeing more red than what could be found in a Chinatown giftshop. Zarin then went on the attack. She charged Alana with anti-Semitism and attempted via her Saunders’ persona to drag Alana down into the mud, a place Zarin loves to play.
A. Chandler never, in any way shape or form thought the original comment was something she could brush aside and move on, but NOOOO. Then came the disturbing and threatening e-mails. Nice Zarin.
So, Alana writes an honest review;
is attacked on this site for it;
is threatened via e-mail;
says, enough is enough and clears things up, defends herself and her livelihood and OUTS Zarin for being Susan Saunders, a charge Zarin has never denied (cause she can’t).
At this point, all the crazies came out of the mouse hole in the kitchen and went to town defending the angelic Zarin. (insert gag here). Like rabid skunks they defiled everything this review site stands for. Honesty, integrity, and serving Amazon’s customer base with relevant reviews.
At what point can we just get back to those standards?

Seems to me the blog had very tight restraints re: what could and could not be discussed. With the Amazon blow out, it was going wild and off topic as far as Bravo was concerned. That seems to be the official reasoning behind the closure. However, I’ve zero doubt Zarin’s dna is all over it.

I am the one way upthread that brought up the TWoP forum shut down. The “telling” thing for me was: if they were shutting down because the boards went way off show topic with discussions of Amazon.gate…then WHY did they not shut the forum down temporarily (for a few days for example) like they have done with other forums when they got off topic ? I’ve seem them do that for The View forum. Versus permanently for the REST of the entire season – when the show was HOT – HOT -HOT ? That forum would have been on FIYAH after Scarey Island episode. They know that. They had 8 more weeks of show to get that board up and running again. It wasn’t like the series was almost over. It would have gotten back on topic. (of course we all came over to Lynn’s blog!)
THIS. But for me, the permanent</B< shut down was the telling sign that Jill's grubby hands were all over that. I think she got legal with them – cease and decist or something. She may have gotten Amazon involved as an outside entity from Bravo & TWoP. Didn't Jill say in the press that she has some 'law suits pending' ???
TWOP is known for its draconian and arbitrary moderation. That alone can explain it, rather than Bravo stepping in, because in contrast Bravo’s own RHONY message boards included extensive discussion of Amazongate, etc. without any interference from Bravo’s messageboard mods.
Oh and anyone can say they have “law suits pending” but it doesn’t mean they do. “Pending” can mean anything….including talking about it (as an empty threat), thinking about it or threatening someone with legal action even if there is no legal cause for action.

I recall early on this season – somebody asked her if she did yoga and she said no. I think it was when she had lunch with that journalist and was flirting with him He was trying to get a feel for anything interesting about her other than her looks. Recall, he said he just read, I paraphrase the title:” Girl with the Red Tattoo”. Kelly stupidly replied and said to him:” I don’t have tatoos. ” HEAD BANG ! Then in her confessional interview – she says about that remark: “I really need to brush up on my literature.” HEAD BANG again. Sheesh.
Now, I digress. Of course she may have decided to take up yoga – but I am suspect. I agree : she copies . And she copies much of Bethenney. Nothing she does is original. Nothing. Such a joke, because she so longs to brand herself as one.

In the picture on the left she is running so her muscles are flexed and more defined. In the picture on the right she is relaxed, muscles aren’t flexed so they don’t show up as much. I agree with everyone else that the cover up should get most of the credit. She has no natural curves, no waist. No womanliness.

Bawby in never around, rarely opens his mouth on camera, and when he does he just reveals himself to be an aging nerd. I couldn’t believe in season~2 when Bobby stood by and watched Mario let Jill have it. He didn’t do anything and Jill was MAD. She said Bobby should of beat his ass. But, Bobby makes a point to call Alex out about “the message”. I would think it should of been the opposite.
If a man was chewing me out my husband would say something, but he would never get involved with an argument I had with another woman. I thought it was odd that Bobby said something to Alex.

This is totally off the subject, however, I just saw the promo for this weeks episode of BGM and wanted to comment. Every time I see it and Bethenny is telling Jason that he needs to get involved with the wedding and he say’s “baby but the game is on” I laugh. That is why I love her show. You laugh, you cry and then you laugh. It is so great to enjoy BGM unlike HWONYC where I found myself mad and upset after every episode with Jill. Just wanted to share my thoughts with all of you.

Now that I have finished reading various “epics” I just have to comment. I have to!
This has grown so much and become such a train wreck that you would think that the pr tools for JZ would warn her that it is going to explode in her face very soon. Then again, they gleefully collect Bobby’s $$’s and do the witch’s bidding. Let me understand this. Jill Zarin, a grown woman with a college age daughter, a husband who is, apparently, very well heeled and can take care of her in the way that she demands now has to also be the head bitch on RHONY? Where Kelly is delusional, Jill is cunning and desperate. Honestly, in the real world of real people who watch this show and MAKE these women a topic of discussion-we would all ostracize a woman like Jill. Would you have her in your social circle? Would you invite her into your home? Would you put up with a rude comment about your spouse or children from her mouth? She would be slapped down, money or no money! Charitable? This is not a woman who is charitable. Again, in the real world we real people perform charitable expressions without any glitz or hype. We volunteer at schools, hospitals, work at our religious institutions to help raise funds for its own function or for charitable giving. We bolster up our co-workers and, in these questionable times, try to do no harm. We raise our own children and spend as much time as we can with them and sometimes barely have a moment to pass our spouses in the hallway as we each run off to our jobs.
I had never heard the term “fame whore” before these shows, but I do know that even in our little, inconsequential social circles “fame whores” exist. They need to be the one who gets the thank you and the applause for the projects we ALL work on. They need to be in command. But, in the real world, we never, ever let them into our inner circles and they are not well liked. The truth wills out and the community knows they are nothing but “fame whores”. So it goes with this debacle of RHONY. They had it so good. Everyone hawking their wares and getting a good response for it. After all, isn’t that what this is all about? Surely these women are not up for awards for acting-they aren’t acting right? Let’s just say that I’m fairly sure production guides things, much like they do on Big Brother or Survivor, by planting an idea here or there, providing a venue and creating the place for the perfect storm. Surely, the pay isn’t that good that it would make much of a difference to any single one of them in a way that would change their lives! But the hawking of wares, well, that’s the ticket! I have no beef with that. Nobody forces me to sit and watch. I watch because it fascinates me to see how others behave. And they always deliver. I have no problem with Ramona’s renewal perks, Bethenny’s creation of a line that has, literally, taken her out of the uncertainty of how to make it in the city another day, LuAnn’s recording a song to sell it on itunes, Alex’s book sales, which I believe has made a difference in THAT family. The McCords really haven’t hidden the fact that they have gained by using this franchise to better their circumstances. They aren’t rich. They live in Brooklyn (heaven forbid and God bless them all Tiny Tim)both work, made no secret of the fact that Alex had lost her job and it was a very big deal, they lived in a house that needed massive renovation and weren’t able to do it with a snap of the fingers and a money transfer from their bank account. Sonjia? We don’t know what the circumstance is there, but she has expressed that she can write and has been working on a steamy novel. She certainly has been a fixture on the NYC scene as long as Ramona has been around. Who is left? Kelly. She chastised them all for using the show to promote their own ventures and now Ms. Kelly Killoren Bensimone has a line of jewelry out there that looks as if she sat in Central Park and grabbed birds as they innocently sat by picking up bits thrown to them while her own employee pulled feathers off their arse before the could fly away. She mentions her “writing” and bikini book.
That is promotion, Bensimone. She also name drops. She has the need to maintain her ex-husband’s connections because now, divorced with 2 daughters, she is 42 and we all know the world of modeling is not kind to many over the age of 25. There is always another long legged, food deprived wanna be waiting in the wings to anorexia their way into the older model’s turf. When Bethenny said a woman turned to her at that now infamous charity meeting and asked “who is she” I got the picture immediately. Nobody knew who she was. Kelly contends that is because she is – up there while everyone else is _down there. OK. Even the bottom of the social ladder in that meeting didn’t have a clue who the hell she was. Elle magazine? Honey, you didn’t own it, you didn’t create it, you didn’t do much but make money off of your husband’s connection to its creation. But Kelly, parading your greatest commodity or ware has worked fabulously. Crazy sells. And you have delivered fabulously. In the world of fabulousity you are at the pinnacle of nuts. Indeed, of all your accomplishments there are 2 that will live on in the minds of your children forever. Posing naked for Playboy (don’t we all want our mothers to have that as a legacy they leave us?) and going bat shit crazy on camera. As for the Kellade, we know that is a jealous response to the Skinny Girl Margarita. I will dismiss Kelly now. That about sums her up, don’t you agree? As for the last girl on the pink sofa, JILL ZARIN of Zarin wealth grab-a-ment I could write pages on what I have seen.
Envy, snark, anger, mean spirited back stabbing, desperate self promotion, idiotic meaningless endorsements, using one’s own child to self promote,
speaking to the camera, intentionally about one’s looks and size, albeit in complete denial of the truth. Bullying? Really? If there is a bully on Rhony it is JZ. She uses the afflicted and wounded to bolster her own sorry state. She has said herself that she enjoys having the underdog around. It makes her feel so much better about her own circumstances. Poor little (insert victim’s name here) needs some help and in the meantime I can feel grand while throwing around husband’s bucks and showing my diamonds and using Saks as my personal playground to throw a “party”. I can show my generous nature even while fighting with others and making efforts to sabotage their future successes. I can visit their home under remodeling under the guise of “helping” while really gathering information to use for the latest snark fest.
I will write a book of no account because all of the other things I do or have are not of me or by me. They are given to me by the poor, befuddled soul who married me. For a few lollipop moments a month you too can have it all.
And finally, when the winds of change arrive and I am exposed for what I really am and I can hide no more, I will attack and/or retaliate and I will use the internet, the great dumping ground of the modern world, to fight people I will never meet and who would never have known about me if I hadn’t pimped myself out on a Bravo TV scheme to make them some big bucks! I will go after the cast mate that I perceive as the least likely to fight back and make it my crusade to destroy her.
Oh, poor her. How the tides have turned. How clueless is this woman to negate the American WOMEN who tune into Bravo to escape a little, to snark a little, and, due to the massive ammunition provided to them by one’s bad behavior, to mock and loathe quite a lot. It’s just that simple.
How interesting that it was Mario who opened the window to who Jill really is with his comments last season? He knew who and what she was and through his actions on camera he let us all know. We should have been more accepting of what he was trying to do, simply by being himself around the Zarinista. Oh, Jill. He took you down and we only noticed it a season later.

I wonder if it was at that big fight at the Page 6 party. When Mario really got in Jill’s face. . . . I think he said she had a huge ego and fame went to her head. Don’t know if that is what was being referenced but it’s the first thing I remembered.

I think that Mario also brought up the fact that Jill had nothing else to do in her life but shop and meddle and create drama…he inferred the meddling and drama . I think he said the word shop. Agreed Mario was trying to tell us viewers all along. And i think he did this when Jill was trying to set up a doubles tennis match and kept dogging Mario about it. Hind site. Hmmm.
That’s it. The tennis match. That night on the rooftop when Mario seemed to be baiting Jill, he was really fighting back because she was trying to set up the match so she wouldn’t lose. She wanted to get some stellar player because JILL CAN’T LOSE! When he said she should pick up her toys and go home-I believe he was saying : Big bully, you don’t get in my face. I couldn’t care less & “go ‘head!”
He did, indeed, intimate that she did nothing. Didn’t work. Just went to lunch with her friends, or something like that. I remember that he took a lot of heat for that scene but I don’t recall him ever speaking to any of the other women like that. Just JZ.
Wasn’t the tennis match thing the other way around? Wasn’t it Mario trying to set it up? My memory isn’t what it used to be!
He may have been setting up the match but Jill was putting him off until she got some pro or something. I think that’s what led to the fight on the roof top, anyway. She was combative and in his face and he went right back at her and didn’t hold anything in. I remember there was a little smirk on his face the entire time. He was daring her and she couldn’t come out and say “I am getting a pro that’s why I’m putting this match off”. This woman can’t stand to lose, not be the center of attention, not be lauded for her “accomplishments”. Anyway, it was when I started to look at her in a different way. She is a dog with a bone and she will not let go until she, in her own twisted mind, thinks she has won something. She is going after Alex this year but what she is going to end up doing is making Alex more popular and instead of dumping her, Bravo will keep her just to see more fireworks between her and Jill. Believe me, my husband worked for a major cable company and it’s all about the bottom line. If it makes money, it’s a go.

I could see myself becoming friends with Jill, only to quickly lose patience as she tried to create drama and control me, then dumping her. Not with any kind of dramatic confrontation, but just distancing myself, not returning calls etc.. until she had found a new victim/friend.
And I do feel a little bit guilty about Mario and Ramona. They tried to tell us last season, but instead I thought they were the bad guys. Sorry M&R.
So agree error 404. I think Jill has a personality that, at first, would attract people and I am always willing to give a person a chance to be part of some social fun. But the 1st time I saw some of that mean stuff she would be so out of my space.
I too was a little bitchy about Mario and Ramona initially. I thought they were smug, but I am beginning to see that they really aren’t smug. They are doing what they do. Ramona can be combative and she can also be wack a do when she imbibes a bit too much, but I don’t think she is envious of others. She has enough and seems to enjoy her life. I also am guilty of buying into Bethenny and Jill’s snark about “Silex”. While I thought it was weird that Alex brought Simon to that all girl’s dinner (season 1 or 2?) and I bought into that wanna be thing that Bravo editing was doing to them by showing the older house they rented in the Hamptons comparing it to Jill’s place or Ramona’s place I soon came to realize that Alex and Simon were going to work, living their lives and doing a reality show. If they weren’t in the scenes, what would be the point? Thus the rental in the Hamptons, the showing up to parties and so on. They all did it. But we were being led down a path by Bravo because they need drama each season and it was easy to point fingers at the ones who had the least. Bethenny only escaped because Jill took her under her wing and Jill enjoyed how scathing B’s humor can be. It gave just enough ‘funny’ to the thing so it didn’t seem so mean and vindictive. Just my take on it.

at least occassionally, but Jill? Who cares. I won’t miss her at all. She actually makes me not want to watch the show anymore because she can’t just let IT go! Like Sonya said referring to Kelly “she is like a dog w/ a bone” Same can be said about Jill.

Argh………….that woman is something else! Editing? Really? Jill, own the hateful things you said throughout the season to everyone. Ugly, snotty, hateful comments that weren’t funny — don’t blame editing now but rather act like an adult and take responsibility.
It’s funny that she even has the nerve, because Bravo called her bluff and blatently showed two of her 90% “funny” footage: ‘whore trades sex for $$ watch’ and ‘Yenta Mom from hell tries to ruin daughter’s college chances’ just to prove how ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz it all was.
The only person who would buy this crap is someone who didn’t watch the show, and those people have no idea who this ugly woman is, so she really shouldn’t have bothered. It’s all wasted effort.
Just more BS that is all part of the plan to try and keep her relevant as gutless Bravo execs decides what to do about the train wreck Jill created.
I think the Bravo execs should remember that Jill tried to sabotage Bethenny’s new show. She was so angry that Bethenny got her own show, she went out of her way to destroy Bethenny’s reputation and career. She wanted Bethenny’s new show to fail before it reached the airwaves. In my opinion, Jill is a liability to Bravo.
Plus… She’s still trying to destroy Alex and Simon.
As I wrote above, Jill blames editing saying she wasn’t represented in a positive way as if we didn’t see anything she did or said. I guess it was all a dream. Jill didn’t ask castmates to exclude Bethenny. She didn’t tell Bethenny they were done several times, leaving Bethenny hurt and crying. Jill didn’t divide the women into teams, and she certainly didn’t have that Crypt-Keeper Mama of hers wear a Team-Jill sweatsuit to the photo shoot. No, she didn’t lie about who was listening while having Bethenny on speaker phone and she did let Ramona know LuAnn was listening to that conversation. Jill didn’t refuse to film with Bethenny. Jill didn’t fight with Ramona. Jill didn’t criticize every little thing at Brooklyn Fashion week. Nope, Jill is just so sweet, she didn’t brag that she had “only the best customer in the whole wide world key” to the top floor of Sak’s Fifth Avenue. Jill didn’t brag so un-neccesarily to LuAnn while in bed with her (dressed in her finest night wear) that she had THE CARD from Saks.
Oh no, our dear Jill didn’t walk off when Bethenny arrived at the party, later to find out she’s engaged forcing her to lie about “having to get Bobby” to congratulate Bethenny and Jason ONLY because she might look like a “piece of shit”.
She didn’t lock herself and Kelly into Jen’s pantry and scream at Ramona, and she never gossiped about Bethenny’s Dad dying, no NOT Jill. She didn’t interrupt the Virgin Island trip trying to gain sympathy because “oh, boo-hoo, they threw me out”. She didn’t befriend that nut-job Kelly (who she hated at the reunion~2) and sic her on Bethenny. She didn’t email Bethenny with un-wanted advice when she found out she was pregnant. She didn’t e-mail Kelly warning her-she can’t be friends with Bethenny and her. She didn’t talk behind Ramona’s back all season long. She sure didn’t make a nasty remark about Sonja to Coerte.
So folks, everything we saw on season~3 wasn’t real… it was editing… it misrepresented our Darling Jill Zarin.
Will she come back if asked… you bet she will. Will Bravo ask her back, oh yes they will because she causes drama, and drama sells. Does Bravo believe people will stop watching if Jill returns? Nope, they think she’s like a car wreck-you don’t want to look but can’t help it!
I don’t know how to start this but I want to thank everyone here for your support. I had my biopsy today but I won’t know anything for a few days. I wish I could say that that was my greatest concern right now but it is not.
On Sunday morning my life and the lives of many people I love was altered forever.
I lived my greatest nightmare.At 1:30 am I received a call from my 19yr old son telling me he and 3 of his friend had just been hit head on by a drunk driver. He was hysterical, crying and extremely frightened. He wasn’t sure if his best friend, the driver, was alive. His roommate and her 7yr old sister were also seriously hurt. The paramedic only allowed me to speak with my son briefly to tell me they where treating him and taking him to the hospital.
The 7yr old little girl was life flighted to Children’s Mercy in critical condition. The driver was life flighted in critical condition to KU Medical. My son and his roommate where taken to a local hospital. Luckily for my son, he suffered the least amount of physical trauma. The airbags and seat-belts saved their lives. My son has a broken ankle and sever muscle and tissue damage to his right shoulder. He has surgery tomorrow on his ankle. His roommate had surgery for a broken femur and she has spleen damage. The 7yr old had to undergo 6 hours plastic surgery on her face. She was cut from her ear to her mouth down to the bone. We won’t know for months how much nerve damage she has. She may never be able to smile again. She also had surgery for a broken femur, broken wrist and the bones surrounding her eye were fractured. The driver is still in critical condition. He has undergone 4 surgeries for a broken femur, wrist, forearm and elbow. He also has brain injuries and a bolt was placed on his skull to monitor swelling. He is holding stable. Their recoveries will take months to years.
The 38yr old drunk driver walked away without a scratch. It took 4 police officers to subdue him and he continued fighting even at the jail. This is his third DUI. Actually it is his fourth but on case was dismissed. He has been charged with 5 felony counts. He has hired a defense attorney who specializes in DUI charges. He was driving his ex-wife’s SUV. My son was in a chevy caviler. Their car was traveling at 40mph. The drunk was doing no less than 60mph.
The kids never saw it coming. They decided to go to the gas station to get some drinks and snack because the 7yr was sleeping over and they were having a movie night and slumber party. They where actually following another driver who was heading in the same direction as they where. That car was weaving between the lanes and they thought he was drunk. My son was on his cell phone reporting that driver’ tag information and location at the time they where hit. That car swerved suddenly and they where struck by the SUV that crossed the center line heading in the opposite direction. It’s ironic that they where reporting on drunk driver to the police trying to protect others, when they where hit by a different drunk driver.
I have been at the hospital since Sunday. I have seen and heard things I never want to hear again.I have spoken to my doctor and postponed my surgery for now. Unless something significant shows up from my biopsy, I really have no choice. My son will need constant care for at least 8 weeks. The three of them had just got an apartment together to share while attending college. Now they will have to give it up because none of them will be able to care for themselves for many, many months. This bastard has stolen their , independence, destroyed their bodies, and robbed them of their innocence. Words can not effectively describe the impact of what he has done to them. To them, their parents, siblings, family members and friends.
I needed a place to vent. This is a safe place. I can’t let my son see how hard this is for me. He is too vulnerable right now. Things are too uncertain right now. We have too much to face now and in the future. We have lawyers, insurance companies, and health insurance carriers to deal with. The physical aspects are difficult enough. The, emotion, mental, and legal aspects make it almost unbearable.
I know some of the housewives visit this site. I am a fan of Sonja. But this experience has made me view her in a different light. Driving under the influence is NEVER okay or justifiable.

Have you ever been on a plane that hits turbulence? The flight attendants tell you to buckle up and if you are with children and the oxygen masks descend, to put one on yourself first. Because your children will have a better chance of making it through the worst if their mom is OK.
Please, shadowsnomore, put on your oxygen mask and take care of yourself as well.

We were head-oned last year. He wasn’t drunk, just an inexperienced kid who made a dumb mistake. We’re lucky our injuries were minor, especially compared to your son and his friends. I’m only rambling on about this so you can feel like you’re not alone. Shit happens and it’s all so random.

That is so horrible.
I hate drunk drivers, and actually, I won’t even drive after ONE drink after watching a video about impairment when I took a DE class for a speeding ticket 20 years ago.
After even one drink, your judgment and ability is impaired enough to hit a pedestrian, which most participants did when tested. (They took a dozen DUI people and let them drink a bit of their normal booze a bit at a time, tested blood alcohol levels at each step, video taped them, and let them drive through the same obstacle course up to legally drunk stage.) I think the vido should be required for a license.
Anyway, the problem is, NO ONE THINKS THEY ARE DRUNK, and even one drink increases the possibility that you will have an accident, and your feelings that you are NOT impaired. Alcohol makes you believe you are FINE to drive or do whatever. Best advice, make it a rule before you have a drink. “If I have one, I am not driving.” because making that decision after a drink or two? NOT a good idea.

You are so right. The emotional and mental anguish about what is to come next will be a huge thing to deal with. Hugs to you and all of the kids. It IS never OK to drive under the influence. Never!
Thank you for sharing this with us. I will be praying for you and all involved. With the holiday weekend coming up this is a great reminder to everyone to be careful. Drinking while driving is never Ok. It just is not there’s no debate. What you are going through I think we all fear and can relate. Take it one step at a time and one day at a time.
And as evil as this may sound the person who did this I hope burns in hell along with the attorney who is helping him out. Let us know if you start a petition or if we can do anything to help to make sure he doesn’t get off this time.
I am very sorry to hear about this. I just took my daughter to this thing called The 99 which means every day 99 youth and young adults die from preventable causes. The show many of these incidents in live scenes. Drunk driving (being hit by a drunk driver) was one of the highest causes of death. I am sorry to hear this. I pray your son and his friends will recover fully. You are correct about Sonja with her drunk driving. It is never okay. Hopefully she has learned from this before she hurts someone. You are an amazingly strong woman and expressed yourself with much composure and grace. Thank God all of the young people are alive but have long roads to recovery. Your son and the other accident victims are blessed and lucky to have such wonderful families to take care of them and work out the nightmare of medical decisions and insurance paperwork. I know we all are a group of faceless and mostly nameless “friends” that have come to know and trust one another but any one of us would be there in a heartbeat if we could. Please know that we all are here for you, night or day, to be an ear or a shoulder for you. As I was reading your post, in the back of my mind I, too, was thinking about Sonja and others who were arrested for DUI but did not hit/kill anyone. I’ve always believed and continue to do so that DUI is never justifiable. Because it does only takes an instant to change someone’s life forever.

One of my best friends was involved in a head on collision with a drunk driver some years ago and I hate that anyone has to go through this preventable horrible unnecessary trauma. Well, just got through reading all the posts, what a big day it has been! Looks like the Jill silence has been broken, I think we all guessed it could not last for long. I guess we are having less posts than usual, due to people hanging out at amazon to watch the story as it unfolds? If bravo is looking at comments on this blog, I guess it would be good for us to state where we stand on RHoNY- short and sweet.
Here is my statement- @Bravo- I will not watch RHoNY if Jill returns and Alex does not. I am not sure I could stand to watch it even with Sonja, Ramona, and Alex (who I really enjoy, if Jill is on as well.
I will not continue to watch HWONYC if Jill Zarin returns and Alex does not either.

My statement on RHONY:
I will only watch RHONY if Alex returns. If Jill comes back also, I will not watch her nor support her sponsors and will continue to write Bravo’s RHONY sponsors to voice my complaints about Jill and will not support their products as long as Jill remains on the show.
I will support the endeavors on and off the show of Alex and Simon, Ramona, Bethenny, and tentatively Sonja, depending on how she handles her alleged DUI (partially because of my beliefs and partially in respect to and support of Shadowsnomore and others who have experienced the injury or death of a loved one from being hit by a drunken driver. It only takes a second for tragedy to strike.).
Someone tweeted Andy Cohen and asked him about casting news for RHONY. We have to wait until 2011 😦

IIRC Bravo doesn’t make official announcements until long after the fact. For example, Bravo in response to press inquiries still refused to admit that the DC show was scheduled and who the cast was until they started doing promotion for it, although the cast was leaked months before and it was already known the show was picked up.
In RHONY’s past, the rumor mill and some of the women themselves have discussed status, such as last year when contract negotiations were prolonged due to holdouts. Usually first will come news that the show has been picked up for another season. And unless they change the shooting schedule, they’ll start filming around Labor Day. But I don’t think Bravo officially announces the cast until they start promoting the new season.
I was reading the comments on Alex’s blog, and saw Otay’s comment the she is trying not to die from breast cancer and is currently taking Aridex. My guess is she had a typo there, and is really taking Arimidex.
Breast, ovarian, fallopian tube, and uterine cancer are all related and have their similarities. SO, otay and I have something in common. I am writing this in hopes that otay still lurks here, or that one of her friends will see this comment and forward it to her.
@Otay- I am very sorry you have to go through this. As I am going through chemo as well, I hope you will take this advice in the spirit in which it is intended: to help and support you in your battle. I have been on chemo for 1.5 years now, for ovarian cancer (stage 4). After a while, the chemo drugs pass through the body/brain barrier and affect your brain chemistry. It can cause severe depression, and it is hard for the person experiencing it to realize that it is even happening. The patient ends up in a VERY DARK PLACE. I get the feeling that you may be in that place. Of course I do not know you, and I am quite often wrong, so please do not take this the wrong way. I really am only trying to help.
Your oncologist will understand completely and be able to help you with depression medications, if you talk with him/her about it. Had to start taking the depression meds two months ago. The difference in my ability to enjoy life, attitude, interactions with others, and most of all ability to HOPE and FIGHT for my life has improved significantly. If you even think you MIGHT be in this dark place, please consider talking to your doctor about it!
Jenni and Otay, I am sorry to learn that you are both struggling to fight cancer. My thoughts and prayers are with you both. I hope both of you will continue to take any meds that will help you get through these cancer treatments and that you will overcome it and one day be strong, healthy, and cancer free! May God watch over your both.

I just hope that Otay sees my post, as the depression comes on so gradually, and is so rational: I mean really, who wouldn’t be depressed? But the truth is it is a truly terrible side effect of the chemo, the brain chemistry changes, and that can be treated with some meds that have been newly developed and do not have the bad side effects like the older depression meds. I hope Otay is not in that dark place, but if she is, I hope she is able to be freed from it! The meds have helped me fabulously.

That’s true Jenni. I liked Otay, indeed, there are very few people in the world that I don’t like (like Jill!), but sometimes Otay would go off on dark tangents (we all sometimes go off at different degrees) and I didn’t understand that. I probably didn’t respond to her at times very well because of that, but I do hope she knows that we care about her. She had done a lot in digging up info and kept us informed and that was greatly appreciated! 🙂
It’s hard enough to deal with everyday life with depression. I have dealt with it my whole life. Depression that weighs on your mind and body to the point that it’s a struggle to do anything. For me, I try to work through it without meds. But it has been debilitating at times over the years. God has pulled me through a few of those times.
But I couldn’t imagine what you both are dealing with in fighting cancer, going through chemo and taking other meds to combat it with the side effects from all of this, then have to fight the depression also.
You have my sympathy! I had never experienced it before, but my brother has also fought depression all his life. He had been on meds, but the side effects for him were bad enough that he decided to try to deal with it without them. It is a terrible thing, I hope I never have to dealt with it again!

Thanks Jenni! I think every day I get out of bed and get busy is an achievement. Then again, I have suffered from insomnia for 4 years ongoing, so any day I get stuff done is good! LOL! But for less than a month now, I’ve been able to get more sleep (more than 1 to 3 hours at a time), so that’s good. 🙂 Have to make lifestyle changes to try to benefit my health–more exercise, less stress, more fresh fruit & veggies.

Jill must be doing cartwheels somewhere in Long Island tonight as many of the blogs are busy speculating about her return to the series. The blogs weigh in as half yes, half no which is eliciting more commentary (not all that favorable) to whether she will come back.
She is probably wallowing in the speculation, thinking of herself as being as interesting as the coverage surrounding whether Tiger Woods would return to golf when he mistepped. That alone would bear out her narcissim to the endth degree.
Jill “Look at me, look at me” Zarin will surely return next season faster than anyone could say “sign here”. She can’t live without the cameras.

This is, of course, her reason for self-agrandizement, blaming editing, blaming everyone else but herself. Again, I can’t count how many episodes she has cried in, but it was the majority of them. It’s like she took a bad acting class where she learned to cry on cue, get attention any way she can, and overact with her hand over her eyes and around her face as though she were an actress in a “silent film”.
YOU KNOW, SHE REMINDS ME OF THE CHARACTER, NORMA DESMOND, IN THE LAST SCENE OF “GRAND HOTEL”—I’M READY FOR MY CLOSE UP, MR. DE MILLE!
Her problem is that she thinks that she is smarter than everyone, and that by putting everyone else (who’s her enemy) down, she elevates herself…….we don’t buy it. She doesn’t think we’ll notice things as obvious as facebook, twitter, and other website where she self-posts great things about herself and horrible things about anything that Alex or Simon are associated with.
The problem with BRAVO MAY BE (and I hope that this is not true), is that they may be hoping for more drama with Jill, so they may keep her on. Believe me, BRAVO, we don’t need that thing to watch…….we’ll have quite enough with Ramona, Alex, Kelly, LuAnn, Sonia (our sexy pistol), and Bethenny (God willing).
I hope that BRAVO sees through Zarin the way Bethenny and Alex finally did, and we know that those two are not in any way impaired, so if they both dumped Zarin, it was for SOUND REASON.

How can Bravo get any reliable information from its own site [or TWOP] when they censor remarks so heavily? Unless they’re secretly working with the “unretouched” comments that roll in, most of which never get published because they’re negative, they can’t get a reliable picture of “audience response” from their site.

I was just catching up on the A. Chandler’s Amazon book review (which has turned into a blog site). When people would finally ignore the troll (Jennifer Redding) he/she/it would rant all the more, proving the behavior is all attention seeking. I guess I don’t understand why people find it so hard to ignore it, why they take the bait so easily. It makes me wonder if they also enjoy the drama.
Ok – I just had a thought do you think the fact that Kelly, Jill and Luann are alll the second wives (or 4th) plays into their insecurities and why they kept calling R’s renewal stupid……. There is nothing wrong with being second wife but I could understand how someone with crap security about themselves would let it rattle them.
And perhaps they felt Ramona was rubbing their marriage failures in their faces.
I think the biggest reason for the jealous snark is because the vow renewal gave R a major story line: her bachelorette trip took up like 3 episodes and her vow renewal ceremony was the big season ending party. I’m sure that Jill wanted her skating kiddie birthday party to be the big closer, like her creeky joints event was last year. J&R’s whole “friendship” runs on on-upmanship as it’s main fuel. And Kiki and Lulu were in serious danger of being replaced due to being boring as all hell. Really? Apartment shopping and random street interviews? Finally they had to pull a singing career and a breakdown out of their asses in order to save their spots.

Luann’s comment about what her ex-husbands reaction of her dating or marrying a Jewish person is very telling. I think she must have similar feelings or she would have not answered that question the way she did. She is from American native Indian descent, yet you never hear her speak of that or verbalize support of their charities. I wonder how much conflict arose between her and the Count with all her socializing with Jewish people. I think Luann will distant herself from Jill in the near future, the Count does hold the purse strings. If Jill doesn’t have Loann to stir up shit with, do we think Kelly could actually handle Jill’s neediness and demands for attention? How would she handle Jill’s contant “white noise” otherwise known as gossip and bullying. I think Jill and Kelly will be back if invited.
I agree 100 percent with Lynn that there are people out there who are keeping Jill in the limelight in a positive way. Just try a google alert and you will see these people.
In one post by a writer, discussing Bravo, he stated they want the negative person as that sells versus the nicey-nicey person. That is there opinion. Here is mine: I will not watch the Housewives of New York if Jill is on. Bravo is one of my favorite stations but it will lose me if the above occurs. I am only one person…maybe not enough since most people enjoy a controversial situation to watch. One needs to stand tough. Good job Lynn.
