What can we say about Kelly that hasn’t already been said!  She has really made a huge impact this season and I truly think a lot of it was by design.  Kelly could be insane, she could be on drugs, and she could have extreme mental issues that truly require a mental health professional.  All we know for sure is what we see and hear. 

We know that Kelly lies, she’s been caught in several lies. 

Her Playboy photo shoot that we saw on Bravo did not produce the photos that appeared in Playboy Magazine in March of this year.  The actual photos that were in the magazine were taken years ago by her ex-husband, submitted to Playboy but rejected at the time.  Once Playboy learned Kelly was on a reality show, they chose to print the photos that they had held onto for years.  AS Danielle would say, “two things are true”.  The photos are Kelly and they were taken by her ex!  Everything else is a lie! 

Kelly says she doesn’t eat processed foods, she doesn’t drink and she supports Peta.  Yet she eats gummy bears, jelly beans, lolly pops, and chicken wings.  She “invented” a drink that she named after herself and admittedly drinks beer and tequila.    She wears fur and therefore does not support Peta!

Kelly told viewers that she was forced to go on the Virgin Islands trip.  Andy Cohen said she wasn’t.  Jill and Luann weren’t forced to go, Kelly lied!

One of Kelly’s first scenes on RHONY showed her at a charity meeting saying, “I don’t lend my name to anything”.  We’ve since seen that she will put her name on anything that will get her publicity!

She can call it contradicting herself and changing her mind, but in most instances that just covers up a lie!  There are plenty more I’m sure could be added to this small list.

When someone is continually caught lying, it completely ruins their credibility and basically anything that they say is questionable.  (Right Jill Zarin?) 

Call me crazy but had Kelly been “normal” and played her cards right, she could have easily been one of the most popular and well-liked housewives in history.  She is a single mom with two wonderful kids.  (We don’t see that nanny’s raise them so Kelly could take credit)  She attends fabulous parties and can afford a great high fashion wardrobe.  She works out and while her body looks a little strange, she certainly is thin and seems to be healthy.  She is a pretty woman and at 41 still looks darn good. 

So why isn’t Kelly everyone’s favorite housewife? 

Easy!  She is bat shit crazy! 

Trying to make any sense out of some of the things she says is like trying to hold water in the palm of your hand.  They are all words, they’re all in English but put them together into a sentence and all meaning is gone!

She says that what makes people absolutely CRAZY about her is that she doesn’t listen to the nonsense.  Kelly clams that when other people are talking, she tends to turn them down to a level “2” and is only partially paying attention so that when she jumps into the conversation, she sometimes doesn’t make sense.  Let me try to break this down without setting my hair on fire.

Two people are having a conversation about…let’s say, shopping at Wal-Mart.  Kelly, being at just a level 2 hears the word, “wall” and jumps into the conversation talking about the Great Wall of China.  Is this what she’s saying?  This is why we think she’s nuts but really it is only because she isn’t really listening to everything that’s being said.   She many say something that doesn’t necessarily make sense to the conversation at the moment, but in her head it does.  Ok Kelly, I get that!  (Whew, I’m sweating)

 This is what Kelly refers to as “white noise”.  Her tiny brain can’t interpret an entire conversation and it isn’t interesting to her, so she tunes it out, sort of like a 12-year old in church would do. 

 Kelly has a strange sense of what is acceptable to discuss and what is offensive.  Ramona started to talk about her father’s death and that she took a trip afterward but Kelly found that inappropriate to hear.  Why?  Is it because it supported Bethenny being in St. John after her father’s death, or did Kelly really think that it was inappropriate to travel shortly after a parent dies?   Kelly hasn’t lost a parent so how would she know what she would do?  I think many people travel after a huge life change.  

 Kelly travels a lot, we know she is in Florida often, in fact.  We’ve seen her travel there with and without her children.  Again, Kelly has a lot of help with her children, but not their father.  Gilles doesn’t spend much time with the kids and they don’t seem to be his priority.  I find it odd that she continues to speak so highly of him while it seems he is not a great dad to the children she loves so much. 

 At the reunion, Sonja said that Kelly was fine when she was one on one with the ladies but when she got in front of all the ladies, she got defensive.  This statement is actually pretty telling, I think that Sonja’s use of the word, “defensive” was interesting because in order to be on defense, there has to be someone attacking you.  I find it hard to believe that anyone was attacking Kelly right off the bat.  Kelly walked into a room and the ladies started attacking her?  I’m not buying that load! 

What I think Sonja wanted to say, but was too polite to say, was that when Kelly was in close proximity to Bethenny, Kelly became defensive.  However, I still don’t believe that Bethenny attacked Kelly without being provoked.  Bethenny clearly just wanted to relax and unwind after the events of her life changed so profoundly.  I think the last thing that Bethenny wanted to do was argue with a brain-dead Kelly!  We watched as Kelly attacked Bethenny several times calling her a ho-bag, saying that no one cares about Bethenny, Kelly called Bethenny gross, creepy and a media whore among other things. 

Bethenny did seem to stir the pot a bit at the breakfast saying “I’m a cook apparently” to address Kelly’s constant poking at Bethenny’s career.  This brought the ugliness all back up from the previous evening but in the end all Kelly did was solidify in everyone’s mind that Bethenny surely is a Chef.  Kelly even got Luann and Jennifer Gilbert confirming that Bethenny is considered a chef with NY society both in the city and in the Hamptons. 

Kelly was trying to spar with an expert.  There is no way that in a war of words Kelly could ever beat Bethenny.  She doesn’t have the ammunition, firepower or tough enough weapons.   Kelly may have appeared to come out on top in St. John, but I believe that it was more of an ambush than a true war of words and Bethenny clearly wasn’t willing to bring out the big guns.  All the housewives seemed to agree that Bethenny backed down and didn’t stir the pot. 

 Yes the season is over, yes we should move on, and we certainly are moving on but Kelly continues to exist, she tweets, therefore she is.  She’s not gone into hiding and continues to be the topic of discussions. 

Blog topics are tough to come by and Kelly is no doubt an easy one to cover.  She is out there, she’s in the public eye. 

 Most recently Kelly seems to be taking her cues from Bethenny.  As many have pointed out, she has created her very own cocktail.  Bethenny has had her Skinnygirl cocktails for over a year now. 

 Andy Cohen asked Kelly about her cocktail at the reunion and as Kelly explained what it was and how it came into being, Andy continued to give Bethenny the “eye” and even the “head pointing” to see if Bethenny would take the bait, she didn’t. 

Kelly’s done an exercise You-Tube video, sort of the poor man’s version of Bethenny’s Yoga Video. 

Kelly even created a You-Tube video of her meals for the day to help us all be Healthful! 

So will Kelly be back next season?  Probably one of the toughest to predict.  We may hope that Bravo thinks the same way that we do, she’s a huge liability.  She’s already contradicted Andy Cohen not only at the reunion but also was Tweeting wildly during Andy’s Watch What Happens Live with her side of the story.  In the end this woman called Andy Cohen, a liar!  Would something like that get you terminated from your job? 

 Most of the season Kelly was a non-entity, she didn’t matter she was a filler housewife, but during the trip, she changed all that.  Was that by design?  Maybe she realized filming was coming to an end and she better do something to bring that drama that Bravo craves!  She brought the drama, she brought the ratings and unfortunately that is why my prediction is that she will be back next season.

@SugarMagnolia10 issues with mental health are serious issues. Tv drama is not serious. Never confuse the two.
